- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh, John's got another drink.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Oh, good morning. Look how tiny that can is? That
- 0:06Speaker 2: full size can in his hand.
- 0:11Speaker 1: John has this amazing optical illusion with his hand where
- 0:14Speaker 1: a can looks like a mini can.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I know we've talked about this before, but I think
- 0:20Speaker 2: we've only talked about it on The Fink Show. Which
- 0:22Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our show today. Our guest
- 0:27Speaker 2: is again the one, the only, the very famous, mister
- 0:31Speaker 2: John Fink.
- 0:32Speaker 1: You co goos the decider.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta say, I think you're just fucking with
- 0:39Speaker 2: us now. I think you have prop cans at your
- 0:41Speaker 2: house that are supermull Your.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Brain tells yourself that can't be a full size can. Yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: that looks like it's so crazy.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Hotel mini bar sized bullshit. That was like a ten
- 0:54Speaker 2: ounce can.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I'm so sorry to disappoint you.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You palm basketballs.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Yes, in fact, for many of my basketball career I
- 1:04Speaker 3: had done just exactly that. Yeah, I'm just a freaking nature.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I can't get gloves. That was my nickname in college.
- 1:14Speaker 3: That was my nickname in college literally was freak of nature.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I don't want you to feel bad about yourself.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Oh okay, I was like I can't get gloves is really.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I just think it's cool. I've never met a person
- 1:24Speaker 1: who can do an optical illusion just by existing.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I mean, I guess that's me.
- 1:31Speaker 4: On the Lunai is part of the Odd Pods media network.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Now. The other one I don't know if you guys
- 1:56Speaker 3: have seen, is this one where I know this is
- 1:58Speaker 3: going to be a great audio gag. But I can
- 2:01Speaker 3: do this with my thumb.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Oh wow, and just.
- 2:05Speaker 3: All the way back. Yeah, I have a double jointed
- 2:07Speaker 3: joint there anyway, that's great audio. So yeah, I have
- 2:13Speaker 3: that guy sounds like it's thumb bent back.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I think I heard it.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I have.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I can. I can't do it right now because my
- 2:21Speaker 2: shoulder hurts so bad. But I have a thing in
- 2:25Speaker 2: common with Carol Burnette. Carol Burnett used to be able
- 2:27Speaker 2: to make her hip pop. I mean, I'm sure she
- 2:30Speaker 2: still can, but I can. I can't do it right now. Sorry,
- 2:34Speaker 2: I'm feeling it my arm. Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Well, Also, to get it to show up on microphone,
- 2:40Speaker 3: even if you know it's popping is a tricky thing.
- 2:42Speaker 3: So I get that.
- 2:44Speaker 2: But I can roll it basically like forward and get
- 2:47Speaker 2: it stuck so like my arm is moving here, but
- 2:51Speaker 2: my top part of my arm is stuck.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Is that painful?
- 2:53Speaker 2: And then well, my shoulder whatever, my shoulder injury that
- 2:57Speaker 2: I have currently is preventing me from doing the pop.
- 3:00Speaker 2: The pop is the interesting thing because it like jumps
- 3:03Speaker 2: it out of my shoulder. Some like my mother might say,
- 3:06Speaker 2: that's why my shoulders fucked.
- 3:08Speaker 3: But because you keep doing that, could be.
- 3:10Speaker 2: My right arm's always moving like I'm basically never not
- 3:14Speaker 2: using my right arm.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Can you do with your other arm?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Joke there somewhere?
- 3:19Speaker 2: So no, I could never do this side huh.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I have a friend actually that has a business idea,
- 3:26Speaker 3: and he wants to make an entire line of things
- 3:29Speaker 3: that are smaller than they normally are, like soda cans
- 3:34Speaker 3: and rulers and other things for a gentlemen to photograph
- 3:39Speaker 3: next to their you know, dicks. Yes, that would be
- 3:42Speaker 3: the word, so that it looks neighborhood. Yeah, there we go,
- 3:46Speaker 3: Penis Flugelhorn.
- 3:49Speaker 2: So yes, I forget, I'm not playing Madge games.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Sorry, okay, fair enough, trousers snake. That's why my friend's
- 3:55Speaker 3: business idea is. But that's not what this is. I
- 3:57Speaker 3: promise you this is a real.
- 4:00Speaker 1: So the person on the other end of the dick
- 4:02Speaker 1: pic would go, wow, look how big it is. There's
- 4:04Speaker 1: a band for scale, but it's a fake banana.
- 4:07Speaker 3: But it's really a plantain.
- 4:09Speaker 5: That's just cruel, false advertising, right.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I want to talk to your buddy about a different
- 4:16Speaker 2: idea because I love oversized chairs and couches. I have
- 4:19Speaker 2: pictures of me traveling over the years and like, fuck
- 4:22Speaker 2: off huge at around neeck chairs or like, oh I
- 4:24Speaker 2: do love them, like big, like comfyler. You look like
- 4:27Speaker 2: a kid read a book chair, but like your legs
- 4:30Speaker 2: don't even hang off. You're just like your little.
- 4:32Speaker 1: John just probably looks comfortable in those huge jetterals.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yes, my wife and I actually have a picture of
- 4:38Speaker 3: us together in one of those huge chairs. We both
- 4:42Speaker 3: look rather comfortable.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You're like, this is this is a right sized chair.
- 4:45Speaker 3: It's right down the hill from us in little Italy.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Oh there's one down there, nice.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yep, I think it's still there.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Here's the second point. I don't think you should ever
- 4:53Speaker 2: get a job as a fluffer. I think the amount
- 4:56Speaker 2: of performance.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I have to go and chang all of
- 5:00Speaker 3: my week's plans. I'm so saying to cancel his job.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Application.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Well, I just think like men all over the world
- 5:08Speaker 2: would be like, look how small my dick looked at
- 5:11Speaker 2: That's what I would say, chick today.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, like if he were a gay man, he'd be like,
- 5:17Speaker 1: these are tiny, Like, no, it's just your hands.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Look my dick in that guy's hand. I can't fuck
- 5:24Speaker 2: this chick.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So Aaron has tapped into my inner monologue while I'm sleeping.
- 5:32Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, somewhere in the San Fernando Valley right now, Yeah there,
- 5:37Speaker 2: Like I feel so seen my large hands to work
- 5:43Speaker 2: against me in the porn industry.
- 5:46Speaker 3: I can't even got seet.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Oh it's you know, this is so upsetting to me.
- 5:53Speaker 2: This is the third time I'm gonna make a reference
- 5:57Speaker 2: to Jesse's husband being good with it, and it haunts me. Man,
- 6:04Speaker 2: that haunts me. We have a we have a not
- 6:06Speaker 2: listener to this, but a listener to your show did say,
- 6:11Speaker 2: oh god, she told us how good her husband was.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Thank you for reminding me.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I don't.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It was on the tail end of Eddie Pence telling
- 6:21Speaker 2: us that he was like the finger banging champion and
- 6:25Speaker 2: and she was like, oh yeah, my at the time
- 6:27Speaker 2: fiance is really good with his hands.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, I mean I'm making that
- 6:34Speaker 3: noise internally right now.
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's not Yeah, it's personal. I'm not throwing any shade
- 6:39Speaker 2: on our listener. I'm happy for you, stoked for you.
- 6:46Speaker 2: What I'm not okay with is like people I know
- 6:50Speaker 2: making those comments. Kristen lived with me for two and
- 6:52Speaker 2: a half. She can say like she would be like, oh, yeah,
- 6:56Speaker 2: we're going to Poundtown when I get home or something.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And I was like, it's like when Dorothy and Sophia
- 7:02Speaker 1: talk about sex on the show.
- 7:04Speaker 3: You're like, no, it's kind of the same way. You
- 7:07Speaker 3: know you like someone, but you don't necessarily want to
- 7:09Speaker 3: be sitting on the edge of the bathtub while they're
- 7:11Speaker 3: taking a ship.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I mean, except my my ex mat he really couldn't.
- 7:16Speaker 2: He had a second life out of the town, but
- 7:19Speaker 2: he couldn't shut the door when he pooped because he
- 7:21Speaker 2: couldn't be away from me long enough.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I need it. I love you, but I need a
- 7:25Speaker 1: second I'll see you when I'm done.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Kind of hide from Abby once or twice a day.
- 7:31Speaker 1: The dog doesn't bother me if he comes here. It's like,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you're good.
- 7:35Speaker 3: The dog's one thing. A person, though, it's like, come on.
- 7:37Speaker 2: You can hear her little.
- 7:41Speaker 5: You can hear her coming.
- 7:42Speaker 2: It's down the hall, slight.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Stare at you and I'm like, I'm good, thank you. Yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, I watch your back when you poop.
- 7:50Speaker 2: She hunts me. She hunts me through the house if
- 7:54Speaker 2: she if I get if I have the audacity to
- 7:59Speaker 2: get up, well, she's a sleepary and she realizes it.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You hear the like, and it stops and looks in
- 8:09Speaker 2: a room, and then you hear it again, and she
- 8:12Speaker 2: looks in the next room, and then when she gets
- 8:16Speaker 2: here in my bedroom, it's carpet again. So she's.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I woke up and you weren't there.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Then you get the bathroom door because she's like,
- 8:30Speaker 2: why are you pooping without me?
- 8:32Speaker 1: And the door on your home alone?
- 8:35Speaker 2: I wake up starting to try to get five minutes
- 8:38Speaker 2: without Abby morning.
- 8:42Speaker 3: It's the person thing.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Bishop's not yeah, Bishop's not asking you for things. It's
- 8:48Speaker 2: the It's the tapping and the like I'm mad at you,
- 8:51Speaker 2: why can't you mad at you? Back up tantrums with
- 8:54Speaker 2: Abby that are the problem. It's not the like daily sleepiness.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I guess if i'd feel differently.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Cutest thing ever, But in like an hour, she's going
- 9:03Speaker 2: to be like, you talk to your friends and now
- 9:05Speaker 2: you have to pay attention to only me.
- 9:08Speaker 1: What did you say about me? Mother?
- 9:12Speaker 3: Did you paint me in a good light? Mother?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Guys, welcome, thanks for coming back. John. This is going
- 9:18Speaker 2: to be a hell of a show.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Sounds like, let's do it.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Anybody have any fun news they want to share? Did
- 9:24Speaker 2: you want to regale us with stories? I think you
- 9:26Speaker 2: had jury duty? How was your journey to get to it?
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yes, my j it's no, I did not. Jury duty
- 9:35Speaker 3: was interesting for me. It was nice because I got
- 9:39Speaker 3: to sleep in that day and then.
- 9:41Speaker 1: The well you weren't do there till what seven eight?
- 9:44Speaker 3: Yeah, seven thirty, so normally my day is half done
- 9:49Speaker 3: by then. But it was it was fun. It was
- 9:52Speaker 3: just sat around a lot fun. Yeah. Fun in quotes,
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah exactly.
- 9:56Speaker 1: And this is the thing. I've never heard of him
- 9:58Speaker 1: and his wife jury duty on the same the same address.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, how did that not hit some flag somewhere? Well,
- 10:08Speaker 1: here's what If you had a young child, you could leave.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I don't get that.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Well, you could ask for a postponement or something. But
- 10:15Speaker 3: she has because she's had a crazy work schedule. She's
- 10:18Speaker 3: actually had to push back her jury duty date twice already.
- 10:23Speaker 3: And I had never had dirty jury duty ever before
- 10:27Speaker 3: because you know, before I was in never ever this
- 10:30Speaker 3: first time, because before this, I was an independent contractor
- 10:34Speaker 3: and so I could not step away and you know,
- 10:38Speaker 3: keep my same earnings. So I was always I'd always
- 10:42Speaker 3: go in and go, look, I can't not make money.
- 10:44Speaker 3: And so they were like, all right, on here, he.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Doesn't give a shit about that. I was an independent
- 10:50Speaker 2: contractor when I was on that tomb on the trial,
- 10:53Speaker 2: and I was like, just so you know, like I
- 10:55Speaker 2: work in film costuming, this is an absolute hardship for
- 10:58Speaker 2: me to not be on set. And they were like, cool,
- 11:00Speaker 2: have a good time.
- 11:01Speaker 1: They don't give you like a stipend or something.
- 11:03Speaker 3: They give you fifteen dollars a day here, jesus, fifteen
- 11:07Speaker 3: whole dollars.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Did they turn you away? You got a media person?
- 11:12Speaker 3: Well, I got out of it because there were no
- 11:15Speaker 3: cases on the docket. Like they they brought people back.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I think they brought back like half a dozen people
- 11:21Speaker 3: because I think they had some eligibility questions for them,
- 11:24Speaker 3: but never in the entire time that we were there
- 11:26Speaker 3: did they bring back an entire group.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Of twelve, So it must have been settling.
- 11:32Speaker 3: I think that's probably what was going on. And so
- 11:33Speaker 3: we just kind of wife and I just sat at
- 11:36Speaker 3: a table and just you know, I listened to Ralph Report.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Tried to play video games remotely and didn't work too well.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Oh no, no, it needed the Wi Fi.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, well that you know, I imagine this the courthouse.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Wi Fi can't accommodate a video game livestream. What I know,
- 11:55Speaker 3: it's weird.
- 11:57Speaker 1: It's a Travis. What are we paying our taxes?
- 11:59Speaker 3: Exactly? I just you know, watched Ralph Report and I
- 12:03Speaker 3: we we the They have all the different like waiting
- 12:06Speaker 3: room chairs side to side, but we kind of commandeered
- 12:09Speaker 3: one of those little round like cafe tables off to
- 12:11Speaker 3: the side and made that our own little space and
- 12:14Speaker 3: we just like watched the door.
- 12:17Speaker 1: At least if you have someone you're with like that's
- 12:19Speaker 1: got to make it better.
- 12:20Speaker 3: It was much more tolerable.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Actions are over. I always go look for like the
- 12:25Speaker 2: old phone banks, like the rooms that used to be
- 12:27Speaker 2: where they like, oh yeah, some shit wear, because there's
- 12:30Speaker 2: always power, there's always a desk, and no one goes
- 12:34Speaker 2: in there, and so I can get work done or watch.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Movies and you're allowed to leave the main room.
- 12:38Speaker 2: With other people. Well, because it's always attached to that
- 12:41Speaker 2: room because it was for people that had to like
- 12:43Speaker 2: make phone calls but couldn't leave the Jerry section. So
- 12:46Speaker 2: most of the older courthouses have that room right to hide.
- 12:49Speaker 3: In and they're usually those rooms are wired with their
- 12:52Speaker 3: PA system, so if you need to if you get called,
- 12:56Speaker 3: you'll know. So that's that's kind of like how it
- 12:58Speaker 3: was in San Diego.
- 13:00Speaker 1: So would you have to do like half a day
- 13:01Speaker 1: and they.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Cut did about half a day and then they're like.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And you're totally done, right.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yep, done for a year. And then we walked two
- 13:11Speaker 3: blocks from the courthouse and went and had a bunch
- 13:15Speaker 3: of lovely beers and lunch at Carl Strauss Brewery.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Lovely beers.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Be I just so we're our show that we're friends
- 13:25Speaker 2: with Digest Articles, who's also part of odd Pods Media. Yes,
- 13:29Speaker 2: they are a show about the algorithm listening to us
- 13:34Speaker 2: and stuff, and so I just want to say Articles
- 13:36Speaker 2: Tau just suggested this product to me, and I'm going
- 13:39Speaker 2: to guess it's based on the conversation we were just having.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It is a shirt of you said that is making
- 13:47Speaker 2: men hard since seven hundred.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That's fantastic.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I love that.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Yes, I want that shirt.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Took our fluff, that took our fluffer conversation and applied
- 14:02Speaker 2: it literally to my tamu. I'm fascinated by the hard
- 14:06Speaker 2: dick information that I will be seeing over there next.
- 14:09Speaker 3: That's a concerningly responsive algorithm. There, It's okay. Sometimes you
- 14:14Speaker 3: just got to walk on the tight.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I don't buy their shirts very often.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Sometimes I do, like I wonder if they fit.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I've had shirts from there, but they all feel like
- 14:26Speaker 2: they're made out of like fiber, classic bags and spit. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 2: they're just like not as soft as you'd hope. I
- 14:33Speaker 2: do have one dress from there that's like a lining
- 14:37Speaker 2: material but looks like a silk dress. It looks nice
- 14:40Speaker 2: if you wear it to like a meeting. Anyway. Look,
- 14:42Speaker 2: long story short, I might just draw my own Medusa
- 14:46Speaker 2: picture with that, saying oh yeah, strong choice and look it.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I like it. Let's put it on Broadway. Sorry, some
- 14:56Speaker 3: mystery science.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Theater thing Medusa the musical.
- 15:00Speaker 3: No, No, that's no, I know.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I just I'm just thinking about that now.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Oh, I have a fun story.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Tell me your story.
- 15:11Speaker 5: So Aaron tried to get us murdered on the side
- 15:14Speaker 5: of that started story.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Wow, tucking believable.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It kind of feels like we're trying to make up
- 15:23Speaker 3: from the last episode.
- 15:24Speaker 1: This is good cheese made there.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Yeah, so there's the Tilamuch cheese. We went and did that,
- 15:30Speaker 6: and then we were on our way back through.
- 15:32Speaker 3: The forest shredded in.
- 15:34Speaker 2: The side Forest Center.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Yeah it was.
- 15:40Speaker 2: We were about to turn left into the Tillamook Forest
- 15:43Speaker 2: Lake Center in making observation deck. There's like a river
- 15:49Speaker 2: you walk across. It's beautiful. I've been there multiples and
- 15:53Speaker 2: I was I knew Christian would love it. But it
- 15:56Speaker 2: was raining that day on our way. It's a real
- 15:59Speaker 2: windy road through there, and I'm a middle aged white lady,
- 16:03Speaker 2: so I go the speed limited less on windy roads
- 16:08Speaker 2: like that, because where do I got to be. I'm
- 16:10Speaker 2: just I mean my husband and that I don't have
- 16:14Speaker 2: gave me permission to be out for the day.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I need to be there with me.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Abby was at grandma Camp. Grandma's so we didn't
- 16:22Speaker 2: have to worry about her. We had her home whining.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I don't want to take the story away.
- 16:27Speaker 5: From Aaron was driving old lady slow and.
- 16:31Speaker 2: This guy was no. No, Aaron was driving.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm not going to let you tell this story.
- 16:38Speaker 3: In fact, I'm gonna just take it right back.
- 16:39Speaker 2: She was driving slightly under the speed line and this
- 16:44Speaker 2: and I was going like fifty three fifty four.
- 16:47Speaker 5: So this mini van behind us didn't like that. And
- 16:49Speaker 5: this guy was riding our ass.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I mean like two three feet from the back of
- 16:54Speaker 2: our car, right.
- 16:56Speaker 6: So we go to get in the turn lane to
- 16:57Speaker 6: turn off to go to the forest, and of course
- 17:00Speaker 6: he you know, as we're trying to get over, he
- 17:02Speaker 6: zips by us, and so Aaron flips him off, which.
- 17:06Speaker 5: My mom taught me you don't do that because you
- 17:08Speaker 5: never know. Sure.
- 17:10Speaker 6: Then ship, she flips this guy off as we're turning over,
- 17:13Speaker 6: and he pulls over, stops in front of our car.
- 17:16Speaker 5: It's out of the car.
- 17:18Speaker 6: Stands there in the middle of road and is yelling
- 17:20Speaker 6: at us because apparently had his wife and his kids
- 17:23Speaker 6: in the car and driving like an asshole. I'm not
- 17:28Speaker 6: even making eye contact. Aaron sits there and she had
- 17:31Speaker 6: the balls on this lady. She sits there and looks
- 17:34Speaker 6: the guy and crosses her arms in front of her
- 17:36Speaker 6: just stares at him.
- 17:38Speaker 1: That's what Aaron did.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I just shipped my hands.
- 17:42Speaker 6: But he finally gave up yelling at us, got in
- 17:44Speaker 6: the car, drove away.
- 17:45Speaker 5: But I was, what's he gonna do?
- 17:46Speaker 1: Beat you up in front of his kids?
- 17:49Speaker 2: Man? Please please, mister mini van, beat me up in
- 17:52Speaker 2: front of your wife. And because you do, I'm gonna
- 17:54Speaker 2: fucking own you.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And dude, you deserve the thing. I'm sorry I taught
- 18:01Speaker 1: your kids a finger.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was a little scary.
- 18:05Speaker 3: It was just waiting for those three magic words to Kristin.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Kristen start recording.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Oh oh, I did so. My phone has a mount
- 18:14Speaker 2: that sits like it's someone. I reached this and he
- 18:21Speaker 2: kept yelling. I reached through my phone and I made
- 18:24Speaker 2: it look like I was about to start recording. And
- 18:26Speaker 2: then he got in his car and drove off, and
- 18:28Speaker 2: I was like, fucking bring it. I don't care. Man.
- 18:30Speaker 6: He has no fear. She has no healthy fear at all,
- 18:35Speaker 6: and I'm the opposite. I worry about everything. So it
- 18:39Speaker 6: was an interesting dynamic.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I wouldn't describe this as you almost got the murdered.
- 18:44Speaker 1: This is a story of Aaron's my goddamn hero and
- 18:47Speaker 1: stands up to Tyranny.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Well, I'm just grateful he had his kids and his
- 18:50Speaker 6: wife in the car because you never know what. Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 6: I'm in and that's where it scares me, because rotarge,
- 18:57Speaker 6: I get it.
- 18:58Speaker 2: This is an ongoing thing that happened throughout the course
- 19:01Speaker 2: of the trip. There were a lot of times where
- 19:03Speaker 2: I was like, no, absolutely not. You can't fucking just
- 19:06Speaker 2: eat this. You might die. We have to ask about
- 19:08Speaker 2: gluten or like, oh, hey, absolutely not. This is not
- 19:12Speaker 2: okay that you don't talk Like every time something came
- 19:15Speaker 2: up where I was like a little bit more like
- 19:19Speaker 2: puffed up about something.
- 19:20Speaker 3: She was like she like, you're scaring me, ruining it
- 19:24Speaker 3: for me.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I honked at someone too, and she was like, I
- 19:28Speaker 2: don't use my horn your car.
- 19:34Speaker 3: It's a function on the car.
- 19:35Speaker 5: I use it. It's very.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Got. I feel like Kristen doesn't do anything other than
- 19:43Speaker 3: the little like friendly taps, like the.
- 19:44Speaker 1: World's made me sit through this whole green light. I
- 19:49Speaker 1: forgive you.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, she's my Yeah, she's her and my mom have
- 19:54Speaker 2: very similar like I best believe Janet has raised me
- 19:58Speaker 2: and never honked to not flip people off because you
- 20:01Speaker 2: just don't know who has a gun. And I'm like,
- 20:03Speaker 2: then fucking shoot me and go to jail, bitch, because
- 20:05Speaker 2: I am going to take my road space back, or
- 20:10Speaker 2: I am going to let you know. It's just like
- 20:12Speaker 2: anyone that super slow.
- 20:14Speaker 1: You were going almost the speed limit, like yeah right,
- 20:16Speaker 1: it's just on a rainy day. Yeah, on a rainy
- 20:20Speaker 1: which you should stay for anyone.
- 20:21Speaker 6: And everybody was driving super fast, so that we had
- 20:24Speaker 6: a lot of people that were okay.
- 20:26Speaker 3: So hang on, tell them trees, hang on that. So
- 20:29Speaker 3: this guy's out of his car just standing in the rain.
- 20:33Speaker 2: At this point in time, it was like a gentle
- 20:36Speaker 2: like a little bit of rain. We hit a break,
- 20:42Speaker 2: but like some of the winder bits.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Of the road.
- 20:44Speaker 2: We had quite a few cars behind us. It was
- 20:47Speaker 2: like a fifty mile an hour crazy and it was
- 20:51Speaker 2: like just pouring.
- 20:53Speaker 1: You just laid on the horn until he got back
- 20:55Speaker 1: in the car.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I'm not sure who's holding up traffic now, bitch.
- 20:59Speaker 5: It was crazy.
- 21:00Speaker 2: If he had been alone, I don't know what I
- 21:03Speaker 2: would have done. I would have it could have been
- 21:05Speaker 2: a bitch.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Rather have the bear than the man.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Sorry, I didn't want to scare the children. Right, So
- 21:13Speaker 2: I was a lot more reserved than probably I would
- 21:16Speaker 2: have been if he had not had children.
- 21:17Speaker 3: You know, the best one to do is a great
- 21:19Speaker 3: conversational thing and the little kids never pick up on it.
- 21:23Speaker 3: But you just drive by and go, hey, good driving skills,
- 21:25Speaker 3: you guys all organ donors, and then just keep driving.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Oh, I like that.
- 21:31Speaker 3: That's my favorite one. I have done that on more
- 21:34Speaker 3: than one occasion.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You can always do instead of being aggressive, you do
- 21:37Speaker 1: the thumbs down.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen that.
- 21:39Speaker 1: It's more critical that get so much.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Actually, that's what I need. I need one of those
- 21:44Speaker 2: signs they have in like reality competitions, like the like paddles.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I need one sign that says like they.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Have light up ones for cars. You could do different.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Messages disappointed and like hold that up. I guess you
- 21:56Speaker 2: didn't pass drivers that the first time.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I know somebody this is gonna get a d m
- 22:00Speaker 3: V book for Christmas.
- 22:02Speaker 1: You got the d and d m V.
- 22:05Speaker 2: The other side will just be a picture of Abby.
- 22:07Speaker 2: It'll be the other side of the paddles.
- 22:09Speaker 1: It's just like if Abby would have been in the car,
- 22:11Speaker 1: she would go nuts.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Let me picture of Abby. This is disappointed.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, with the tongue with.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Him standing in front of the car like that. If
- 22:20Speaker 2: Abby had been with us, it would have just been
- 22:22Speaker 2: like the whole time. Sounds like, oh she gets when
- 22:28Speaker 2: it's repetitive. Yeah, if it's like a single bark.
- 22:33Speaker 6: Six Yeah, unless it's coming out of the house when
- 22:36Speaker 6: you're walking away and it sounds like she's dying.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, then it's like, what.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Does she bark so hard like my shitsu would where
- 22:46Speaker 1: she pushes herself backwards, Yes, that's.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Whole chest heaves her chest.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah. God, even if you don't hear her like little
- 22:57Speaker 2: silent scream we call it, you can see her chest heaving,
- 23:01Speaker 2: like when Blanche talks about like her heaving bosom and stuff.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I'm like, Abby knows, she knows what that is entirely.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Does Hannah do that John bark so hard she pushes
- 23:11Speaker 1: herself back? No, she runs, Oh, she doesn't stand at
- 23:16Speaker 1: bark at you.
- 23:17Speaker 3: No, she'll bark and then she'll run and hide and
- 23:19Speaker 3: then poke her head back out.
- 23:21Speaker 7: I told you, Yeah, and this time I mean it bark.
- 23:26Speaker 2: It doesn't happen as much here Like here, she'll she'll
- 23:30Speaker 2: run and like go to the room where she thinks
- 23:32Speaker 2: we're supposed to be One night, while Kristin was here,
- 23:34Speaker 2: she did something she hasn't done in forever, which is
- 23:37Speaker 2: where she put herself away in her cage and tried
- 23:40Speaker 2: to close the door over so that Kristin would give
- 23:42Speaker 2: her a treat, because look how good I knows if
- 23:45Speaker 2: she gets in that bed, she gets a cookie.
- 23:48Speaker 5: And so she was like, Kristin, he's a whore for treat?
- 23:54Speaker 1: Did you give her one?
- 23:55Speaker 6: Cru?
- 23:55Speaker 2: She is such a whore?
- 23:57Speaker 1: No, amazing, Abby treathoorr producer racist.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Well at least she's a multi hyphen it.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not a racist. I just hating everybody equally.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Oh, that's fair, okay, and deserve people are terri that's silly.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate my mom?
- 24:23Speaker 1: You hate your mom?
- 24:24Speaker 3: No, she did that? Happy?
- 24:26Speaker 1: I think you talked?
- 24:27Speaker 2: Probably give her pizza, yeah.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Pizza bones.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Shall we talk about today's episode?
- 24:33Speaker 6: Yes?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Okay, let's do this.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Episode twenty four is called Big Daddy. The original
- 24:41Speaker 1: air date May third, nineteen eighty six.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Is that right? Wow?
- 24:47Speaker 1: They took a month off. Directed by Terry Hughes, written
- 24:51Speaker 1: by Barry Fernaro and mort Nathan. What do you think
- 24:55Speaker 1: this episode is about friends.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I may have just spoiled it by pulling it up
- 24:59Speaker 3: on my phone to watch it, and it gave me
- 25:01Speaker 3: the description again, so I will opt myself out of that.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Guess John recuses himself.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Yes, I recuse myself. Sorry. It's the way that the
- 25:10Speaker 3: mobile app has it. It's like, hey, you want to
- 25:12Speaker 3: watch this episode. Guess what. Here's what it's about.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Maybe don't do that until we're ready.
- 25:19Speaker 3: It's just on the menu.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It's because it's been a week. That's why you had
- 25:23Speaker 2: time to forget that. You're app did that right?
- 25:26Speaker 1: That's right?
- 25:28Speaker 3: Sure. Oh.
- 25:33Speaker 6: I don't know if Blanche's dad is alive, but I
- 25:36Speaker 6: think Blanche's dad comes to visit. And I feel like
- 25:38Speaker 6: that's like a Southern reference Big Daddy.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'll do one little bit of trivia now. Big Daddy
- 25:47Speaker 1: is a reference to a character in the Tennessee Williams
- 25:49Speaker 1: play Cat on a Hot tin roof. Yeah, that's where
- 25:52Speaker 1: they got it from.
- 25:53Speaker 2: M I'm like a cat on a hot tin roof. Never,
- 25:58Speaker 2: no one if I'm gonna jump both sorry. In theater,
- 26:04Speaker 2: that's one of the monologues you do a lot when
- 26:07Speaker 2: you're a young girl.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Do that.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I've never seen it.
- 26:13Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Better than our American cousin.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, oh for sure. Yeah. The highlight of our
- 26:20Speaker 2: American cousin was the assassination of Lincoln. That was the
- 26:24Speaker 2: highlight of that.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Best part of the that's not part of the player.
- 26:32Speaker 2: All right, So who do we want to pick as
- 26:34Speaker 2: the villain? Aaron is the villain?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Rose, Sophia, Dorothy Blanche.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I'm going to pick Blanche.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Okay, you're a great Christmas sounds good, Blanche, perfect, thank you,
- 26:52Speaker 1: played by Ruth mcgilla, Cunny, Miss McGinn. We're got to
- 27:00Speaker 1: go away and watch the episode, and you're gonna listen
- 27:03Speaker 1: to a little thing from our friends on the odd
- 27:06Speaker 1: Pod Media Network.
- 27:09Speaker 8: Hey, Jeff, what are we doing?
- 27:11Speaker 9: Why are you whispering?
- 27:12Speaker 8: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us.
- 27:15Speaker 8: Unless we take massive efforts to protect our online privacy,
- 27:19Speaker 8: all the details of our lives will be in the
- 27:20Speaker 8: hands of mega corporations.
- 27:22Speaker 9: Okay, sure, but this is the promo for our podcast.
- 27:25Speaker 9: We need people to be able to hear us this time.
- 27:28Speaker 8: Why do we need a promo?
- 27:29Speaker 9: Oh funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 27:31Speaker 9: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 27:33Speaker 8: Are they one of those global conglomerates.
- 27:35Speaker 9: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 27:38Speaker 9: great shows like ours.
- 27:39Speaker 8: Well, is there anything specific we need to say?
- 27:41Speaker 9: We should probably tell them what our podcast is about.
- 27:44Speaker 8: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 27:47Speaker 8: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 27:50Speaker 8: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 27:53Speaker 8: all buttholes.
- 27:54Speaker 9: I don't think we should say buttholes in the.
- 27:56Speaker 8: Promo, but we already did twice.
- 28:00Speaker 9: Every other Monday for new episodes of suggested articles a podcast.
- 28:06Speaker 1: We came back. We did We missed you guys.
- 28:09Speaker 3: We did it? Guys, Where did you go? We were scared?
- 28:11Speaker 1: I don't have object permanent, so I doesn't understand.
- 28:15Speaker 5: That was a.
- 28:16Speaker 2: That was a.
- 28:18Speaker 1: It was an okay one. I didn't like the sappy ending. Well,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I liked the Sophia storyline.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that was good.
- 28:27Speaker 5: The B story was better than the A story.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yeah, but two things really quickly.
- 28:33Speaker 3: So.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Murray Hamilton plays Big Daddy in this episode.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Stealing my trivia.
- 28:38Speaker 5: He's the guy who wouldn't close the beach.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Oh am I stealing your trivia?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Oh sorry, he's the guy from John's.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he's in just.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I can come back.
- 28:51Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I'm just teasing you.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Please you do that trivia. Please, I'll do my other
- 28:55Speaker 2: bit and then I'll start it and if.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It's I was just waiter, Oh, I don't know.
- 29:03Speaker 2: So the guy that plays the waiter at the place there.
- 29:08Speaker 2: He later went on to play Harland, which was Will
- 29:12Speaker 2: Truman's boss on Will and Grace.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I recognize it like.
- 29:16Speaker 2: A honky townk guy that was like, now, Will, I
- 29:18Speaker 2: don't understand gays, but everything was like he just was
- 29:23Speaker 2: like made it very clear that he was.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Like I had that moment where you're like, who I
- 29:27Speaker 1: know that guy?
- 29:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen anyway, Sorry, that was That was my tributa.
- 29:32Speaker 2: I want to share your thing now or you want
- 29:33Speaker 2: to do it later. Do your trivia first, Well I don't.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I hate to ruin any of your quiz.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Okay, Well then we'll do the quiz and I'll just
- 29:42Speaker 2: there's more dreaming.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Hold on to your hats and glasses because.
- 29:47Speaker 2: This here's the wildest quiz on season one, episode twenty
- 29:53Speaker 2: four in the Wilderness.
- 29:56Speaker 1: All right, name is your buzzer?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Name is your buzzer? Please let me first question. It
- 30:01Speaker 2: seems like it might be a two point thing or
- 30:03Speaker 2: a two part thing. Just let me finish the question
- 30:05Speaker 2: and then ring in with your name. Okay, here we go.
- 30:09Speaker 2: What is Big Daddy's surprise?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yes?
- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh, sorry, Kristen was noticeably faster than everyone else, so
- 30:18Speaker 2: I just assumed we all heard that. Kristen.
- 30:21Speaker 5: Please, he was going to be singing and performing. That
- 30:26Speaker 5: was his surprise.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Where is he performing.
- 30:30Speaker 3: At?
- 30:30Speaker 1: The I know cowboy bar?
- 30:34Speaker 3: John?
- 30:35Speaker 2: Okay, what's the name of it?
- 30:38Speaker 3: Mister Fank It would be the sage Brush Club.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Oh?
- 30:44Speaker 2: Fuck, you both got it almost right, Sagebrush Cafe. Oh,
- 30:51Speaker 2: it's okay. I'm gonna give you each a point a
- 30:56Speaker 2: solid that's each fair?
- 30:59Speaker 3: All right?
- 31:00Speaker 2: All right, here we go. What is the name of
- 31:04Speaker 2: Blanche's family home? Kristen and Christmas First Twin.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Oaks, lone Pine.
- 31:13Speaker 5: I used to live off of a twin Oaks?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Bull?
- 31:15Speaker 1: Did you really?
- 31:18Speaker 2: What does Rose say? After Blanche explained that Big Daddy
- 31:23Speaker 2: was truly a father figure to everyone in their whole
- 31:27Speaker 2: father to everyone in their whole town.
- 31:29Speaker 3: John, Yes, your mother must have been very forgiving.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Yes, that's a great libe.
- 31:38Speaker 2: What just Sophia tell Blanche to do to make Big
- 31:42Speaker 2: Daddy feel more at home.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Uh, John uh talk about mint julibs and pecan pie.
- 31:53Speaker 2: It was a real cringe moment for all of us.
- 31:55Speaker 1: So I think, Oh, Gina, yeah, tarn feather the neighbor's
- 32:02Speaker 1: lawn jockey.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. The neighbors across the street were the millers.
- 32:09Speaker 2: By the way, it was to tarn tar and feather
- 32:12Speaker 2: the miller's lawn jockey. Mister Barton refuses to move the
- 32:18Speaker 2: tree and as such get to Sicilian curse placed on
- 32:22Speaker 2: him by Sophia. What happens to him first? And one
- 32:27Speaker 2: bonus point for each of the list items that happened
- 32:30Speaker 2: throughout the show Kristen okay.
- 32:36Speaker 6: Versus the tire being deflated okay? And then we have
- 32:41Speaker 6: the clocks that got changed, the golf clubs were stolen,
- 32:45Speaker 6: and he has a boil on his butt.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Okay?
- 32:49Speaker 2: Anyone have anything else?
- 32:51Speaker 1: Oh that's all?
- 32:51Speaker 3: Lad?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Was there another one?
- 32:53Speaker 2: Okay? So boil on his butt? You got a point
- 32:56Speaker 2: for that. The air out of his tires was the
- 32:57Speaker 2: first thing that happens. Golf clubs are missing is the
- 33:00Speaker 2: second thing that happened? Or sorry, boil on his butt
- 33:03Speaker 2: then the golf clubs are missing. Then he says, my
- 33:06Speaker 2: clocks are all wrong. That's the third. So you got
- 33:08Speaker 2: those three points. But the final thing is a joke
- 33:13Speaker 2: with Dorothy because he says I can't eat, I can't sleep,
- 33:17Speaker 2: and Dorothy goes, she can't sit. So that would have
- 33:20Speaker 2: been the final point, was any combo of can't eat sleeper?
- 33:25Speaker 2: So but yeah, okay, nicely done. You got three out
- 33:28Speaker 2: of four possible points on that one. I kept a
- 33:31Speaker 2: list going. I was like, I vaguely remember that there's
- 33:34Speaker 2: like a whole list by the end of this, so
- 33:37Speaker 2: I just kept a little tally going during the episode.
- 33:39Speaker 2: All Right, who does Sophia say, Blanche looks like when
- 33:44Speaker 2: she comes out to meet Big.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Daddy Gina, Yes, the night hostess of Denny's.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Lance comes out and goes, how do well look? And
- 34:00Speaker 2: Sophia said, like the night hostess at Denny's.
- 34:03Speaker 6: That one threw me because my mom used to work
- 34:05Speaker 6: at Denny's and the hostess is never dressed like that.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Probably were like an I managed to Denny's, and I'll
- 34:12Speaker 2: tell you what, I didn't wear a single dress like that. Okay,
- 34:16Speaker 2: this is one of everyone's favorites finished the line, so good.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I hope you had your listening hats on. I'm sure
- 34:25Speaker 2: there's some perfectly logical explanation, no one, did I stump you?
- 34:37Speaker 3: Guys? Wow, I feel stumped.
- 34:39Speaker 2: You always Aaron right, So she blanches. I'm sure there's
- 34:45Speaker 2: some perfectly logical explanation. While my dad he's lost his
- 34:48Speaker 2: stuff and out of his comfort.
- 34:50Speaker 6: I have lost stuffing because that was a great line,
- 34:55Speaker 6: but I just forgot the leading.
- 34:59Speaker 5: I never read that.
- 35:01Speaker 2: After that scene is when Blanche decides to talk to him,
- 35:04Speaker 2: and that's where we unearthed the second bit of news,
- 35:08Speaker 2: which what is big Daddy's second piece of big news?
- 35:12Speaker 3: John, Yes, he sold twin oaks so that he can
- 35:18Speaker 3: go out on the road.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Yep, yeah, way to go, Way to go. Okay, let's
- 35:25Speaker 2: move on to one of our favorites and say, who
- 35:30Speaker 2: was Rose's hometown founded by and what was it that
- 35:33Speaker 2: made him famous?
- 35:35Speaker 1: Gina mm hm, yes, Gina me oh? Was it Heinrich
- 35:43Speaker 1: von ander Dinan. I don't know if I'm close on.
- 35:47Speaker 2: That, Yeah, Heinrich von andre Donan.
- 35:50Speaker 1: He was famous for canning tunas and their natural juices.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah mm hmm. Continue on the vein of this beautiful tradition.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Why did Rose's dad get to drive the float in
- 36:06Speaker 2: the fiftieth anniversary parade, Kriston, Oh.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I think John smoked he was small enough to fit
- 36:14Speaker 3: in the Manny's jar costume.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Oh right, I don't want to see that costume. A
- 36:21Speaker 2: lot of times that Roses stories I wish they were
- 36:23Speaker 2: like illustrated for us to see.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Oh if it cuts to like a little cartoon.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Like a family guy cut away or.
- 36:32Speaker 6: A picture book, Yeah, oh my god.
- 36:37Speaker 1: That could be your million dollar idea, Aaron, you make
- 36:39Speaker 1: Roses stories in the picture books?
- 36:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:44Speaker 2: Upook, Yeah, I think it would be great. Actually, you
- 36:50Speaker 2: could do Ros's story could be like Golden Book. But
- 36:56Speaker 2: you could do a picture at sicily pop up book totally.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Those would both be good.
- 37:04Speaker 2: We own this, We said it on here, all right,
- 37:10Speaker 2: sorry making notes to make famous. All right, let's go on.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Who we all know curses don't exist? But who actually
- 37:19Speaker 2: did those things to mister Barton?
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yes, John, that would be Gladys his wife.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Yeah, missus Barton did the things to mister Barton, except
- 37:33Speaker 2: just too. That's the civil disobedience that a wife had
- 37:37Speaker 2: in the eighties. Okay, next, question, what do you do
- 37:43Speaker 2: with a mechanical bull?
- 37:47Speaker 5: Kristen, Yes, write it?
- 37:52Speaker 2: Oh no, no one else has this market.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Wasn't it like, just tell everyone about it or something?
- 37:58Speaker 3: It was something I missed that part of it.
- 38:02Speaker 2: The Road says what do you do with the mechanical pull?
- 38:05Speaker 2: And Dorothy says you introduced it to a mechanical cow.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Point to Aaron.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Two questions left here? Are you ready?
- 38:16Speaker 3: Ready?
- 38:17Speaker 5: Freddy?
- 38:17Speaker 2: What Medley did? Big Daddy say he knew he shouldn't
- 38:21Speaker 2: have tried.
- 38:24Speaker 3: John was faster the Beatles? Medley?
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, beetle.
- 38:32Speaker 2: That beetle Medley, beetle.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Man, I'm crazy, mop tops Hey, this.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Last one is one more because I know how much
- 38:44Speaker 2: you like these. Finish the line, finish the lyric. Here
- 38:50Speaker 2: we go. It ain't gonna worry me for long. It
- 38:53Speaker 2: ain't gonna worry me for long. I'll get up in
- 38:57Speaker 2: the morning. Uh John, Yes, John, you sound very confident.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Your name John.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I am gonna guess on this one and say, singing
- 39:07Speaker 3: a happy song.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Oh close. If no one else has anything even remotely
- 39:14Speaker 2: close to that, I'm gonna give you the point because
- 39:16Speaker 2: it's pretty close. I've only heard his voice yeah, I'll
- 39:20Speaker 2: still be singing my song.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Oh okay, okay, that's fair.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well John, you smoked us again.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Whoa quiz boy? Sorry it's benure Brother's thing. Anyway. I'll
- 39:37Speaker 3: be over here queeze boy, queezboe down.
- 39:42Speaker 2: But in my book where I wrote quiz boy down,
- 39:46Speaker 2: I just want you to know, John Fink, henceforward you
- 39:48Speaker 2: will be known as quiz boy. But that's a.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Lie, fantastic, It's all I ever wanted.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Queeze boy.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Well, it wasn't on the quiz but I did like
- 39:57Speaker 1: the line about a tuna made out of chrysanthemums.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I wrote that down to Yeah, I liked this episode
- 40:04Speaker 2: exponentially more than the blind episode that I because I
- 40:08Speaker 2: write my quizes too. For a time, people, I'm just
- 40:11Speaker 2: peeling back the Wizard's curtain for you.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Spoiler A your Wizard's sleeve. What do you move?
- 40:18Speaker 2: I moved to the curtain like at the end of
- 40:19Speaker 2: Wizard of Oz, I got it. Pay no attention to
- 40:24Speaker 2: the man behind the curtain.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Talk about teared memberships? What what I had?
- 40:28Speaker 2: Like twenty questions for the final one I had to
- 40:33Speaker 2: part or I got it down to fourteen. Just there
- 40:37Speaker 2: were so many things, like I tried to make something
- 40:41Speaker 2: out of the gun with the windstorm, Like when when
- 40:44Speaker 2: Rose said, oh, WIT's like we're living and gone with
- 40:46Speaker 2: the wind. I'm so excited. I was like, oh God,
- 40:49Speaker 2: I want that to be something. I had to pair
- 40:52Speaker 2: this one down. But yeah, do you want Blanches the
- 40:56Speaker 2: villain or do you want to trivia it up? First?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Let's trivia it up, Tria up. Murray Hamilton played Big
- 41:01Speaker 1: Daddy Hollinswruth. His first name is Curtis. The actor was
- 41:06Speaker 1: only ten years older than Miss Ruth McGillicutty. And also
- 41:11Speaker 1: he played Betty White's uncle on an episode of Mamma's Family.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Cool, Oh okay, We's family.
- 41:21Speaker 7: We have different trivia and then oh, I'll let you
- 41:26Speaker 7: do years after and then you Jordan Jump was on
- 41:30Speaker 7: WKRP in Cincinnati and also soap.
- 41:35Speaker 1: He's kind of one of those oh yeah, I know
- 41:37Speaker 1: that guy. Yeah, he was the neighbor. Sorry, go ahead, Aaron.
- 41:42Speaker 2: I thought you had this as part of the Murray
- 41:44Speaker 2: Hamilton one. So this is not the same Big Daddy
- 41:49Speaker 2: that you'll see later in the show.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I left that off because I figured we'd get
- 41:53Speaker 1: to it.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Then oh, Okay, well then shut up, no, go ahead,
- 41:57Speaker 2: because I really like this Big Daddy. I like him
- 42:01Speaker 2: a lot. I don't not like the new one. The
- 42:03Speaker 2: new one looks even younger than this one, which is
- 42:06Speaker 2: weird because it's like her father's getting younger as this.
- 42:11Speaker 2: But this guy sadly passed away. Before they recorded the
- 42:16Speaker 2: next Big Daddy episodes, I had to cast someone.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I think, I'm sure way just like five months after
- 42:21Speaker 1: this era.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like shortly after Day doesn't come back
- 42:26Speaker 2: until later in season two or three. I think it's wild.
- 42:30Speaker 1: That's what I was wondering what they were gonna do
- 42:31Speaker 1: on mid Century monor. You know, it's like, do you
- 42:33Speaker 1: recast do you acknowledge? They chose to acknowledge the here
- 42:38Speaker 1: they chose to recast. It's Big Daddy's not a huge character.
- 42:42Speaker 2: He looks a lot like Colonel Sanders. They leaned, Yeah,
- 42:45Speaker 2: he's just the white type of the black tie, and yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I don't I don't think that's a bolo tie because
- 42:51Speaker 1: those are like different. But I don't know. It's like
- 42:54Speaker 1: a ribbon that's a tie.
- 42:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know what you call that.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I don't.
- 42:58Speaker 2: I went to faster school and I don't know. Yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 2: I figured a combination to fashion.
- 43:03Speaker 3: I like that. A stage version was just a black
- 43:05Speaker 3: shirt with a silver ribbon bow tie.
- 43:09Speaker 5: That was his dress up for Yeah, but you had
- 43:11Speaker 5: the black cowboy hat.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Yeah, leather on the top of the jacket. What did
- 43:16Speaker 1: you call those jackets? Aaronde them?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Well, so, like the yoke, the part that's like up
- 43:23Speaker 2: here is a contrast, and so it's just a style
- 43:27Speaker 2: where you create an insert. It's more of a pattern
- 43:30Speaker 2: drafting thing than really the style of the jacket. But
- 43:33Speaker 2: that country Western style, and it's called a yoke because
- 43:37Speaker 2: I guess like the yoke that you put on an
- 43:39Speaker 2: ox or whatever is up there. Yeah. But so that
- 43:44Speaker 2: contrast thing that was huge in like the late seventies
- 43:47Speaker 2: early eighties for like three Western shit. Yeah, but I
- 43:50Speaker 2: had to make one in fashion school because it's a
- 43:53Speaker 2: specific way you create the pattern.
- 43:55Speaker 1: What colors did you do, stupid?
- 43:59Speaker 2: Mine was a red Paisley like bandana print fabric, and
- 44:06Speaker 2: then the yolk was black and then the collar was black.
- 44:10Speaker 1: A blood.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Yeah, right, a honky Tonk blood gang member. So I
- 44:17Speaker 2: was looking up the name of that ribbon bow tie.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Sorry, just a second, John, Would you wear that suit
- 44:22Speaker 1: jacket either one than he wore?
- 44:24Speaker 3: Yes, if it fit me.
- 44:26Speaker 1: You think you'd look good? Yeah, in the in the glittery.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Bleak, I give it a shot.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Well, assuming it not his. That guy was a small guy,
- 44:36Speaker 1: was little.
- 44:37Speaker 5: Yeah, So Aaron, what have you found?
- 44:40Speaker 2: Most of the Internet says that that limp tie is
- 44:45Speaker 2: a bow tie. It's just a variety of bow tie.
- 44:48Speaker 2: It says that some varieties of bow ties are quite
- 44:52Speaker 2: limp and look like someone loosely tight a shoelace. And
- 44:55Speaker 2: I was like, nailed it in one. That's how I
- 44:57Speaker 2: would describe Big Daddy's truly. I wish he had a
- 45:01Speaker 2: Bolo tie on Bolo ties for life. I owned a
- 45:06Speaker 2: Bolo tie in the early nineties and I wore it
- 45:10Speaker 2: with like one shirt that I had to wear it
- 45:12Speaker 2: with because I bought the bolottie to go with that shirt.
- 45:16Speaker 2: I think I wore it twice. Boloties are not a
- 45:19Speaker 2: look that I've.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Seen ladies in Bolo ties. I think I have not
- 45:23Speaker 1: that you can't wear it. It does seem more neutral.
- 45:27Speaker 6: Arizona or somewhere like country western style.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, big piece of turcoas in the middle.
- 45:36Speaker 2: We had those ruffelly shirts I was younger that had
- 45:42Speaker 2: like a wide almost collar and then it went into
- 45:44Speaker 2: like a peasanty type ruffle, and I think I tried
- 45:49Speaker 2: to wear it with something like that, and and also
- 45:51Speaker 2: was like, why the fuck did you buy a bolo tie?
- 45:54Speaker 2: Tiny Aaron, you stupid idiot. I can't bullet off. It's
- 45:57Speaker 2: not a look I Abby. You could pull off a bowlot.
- 46:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I like Abby can pull off anything.
- 46:06Speaker 1: She got style she does.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Somebody in that house has to dude.
- 46:15Speaker 1: That came out of nowhere.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Fine.
- 46:18Speaker 2: I wasn't going to tell you this, but I planned
- 46:20Speaker 2: to go to hold the wheat for Keish tomorrow.
- 46:23Speaker 5: Oh bish?
- 46:27Speaker 1: What she got you saying? Bish is happening?
- 46:32Speaker 2: Is Happeningish is like the next version of bitch, is
- 46:37Speaker 2: like when girls used to I'm telling John he was
- 46:41Speaker 2: here for the bish convo.
- 46:43Speaker 3: I know, I'm aware of the concept of it. I
- 46:46Speaker 3: was trying to figure out what what you threatened with
- 46:49Speaker 3: her to do something about.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Hold the wheat is the gluten free bakery up here
- 46:56Speaker 2: that is phenomenal.
- 47:00Speaker 5: They have vegan options too.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I don't even like pie crust at all. Pie is
- 47:07Speaker 2: a bullshit thing. That DUTs shouldn't make pudding fruit dram
- 47:14Speaker 2: cracker crusts, but fuck regular pie crust. I like the piecrust.
- 47:18Speaker 2: It hold the wheat.
- 47:19Speaker 5: She really doesn't like pie crust.
- 47:21Speaker 1: It's just like a wish or what do they do.
- 47:26Speaker 1: It's a whole cafe like fist sandwiches and like a
- 47:32Speaker 1: Panera kind of thing.
- 47:34Speaker 2: I got a spencer cake the first time we were
- 47:36Speaker 2: there that looked like it was called a Barbie Spencer cake,
- 47:40Speaker 2: and it it had a pool like a little it
- 47:44Speaker 2: looked like an inflatable pool with a flamingo stick, which
- 47:48Speaker 2: the flamingo's right here. I decided to craft with it,
- 47:51Speaker 2: so it's being it's waiting to be used. But this
- 47:55Speaker 2: tiny wooden flamingo wasn't it. And the pool was full
- 47:58Speaker 2: of blue but it was like a vegan gluten free jello.
- 48:04Speaker 3: God.
- 48:05Speaker 2: So it was like a weird texture that I didn't
- 48:07Speaker 2: love for my mouth. But that the cake is delicious
- 48:10Speaker 2: and flavorful and the oh they do a good job there.
- 48:14Speaker 5: It was amazing.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Find I literally, I I know that you were you
- 48:21Speaker 2: were kidding, because if you had actually thrown shade about
- 48:24Speaker 2: my style, I'd kill you.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Oh wow, I'm just kidding.
- 48:32Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Why don't you take that evil energy and tell us
- 48:35Speaker 1: about the villain?
- 48:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I think whoever suggested to Blanche I think it
- 48:40Speaker 2: was John well done. I'm just a bitch. Why can't
- 48:44Speaker 2: her dad like just go sing and enjoy being musically
- 48:49Speaker 2: and klined in his own mind? Yeah, he does have.
- 48:52Speaker 2: He has that fake sense of confidence that I think
- 48:55Speaker 2: like people have when they go I don't care, hair,
- 49:01Speaker 2: I don't care about a lot of things. You guys,
- 49:05Speaker 2: I'm pretty easy going.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Where's this coming from?
- 49:08Speaker 1: Sounds like a gen x or.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I hate everything I speak in my language.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I can't wait to be dead.
- 49:17Speaker 3: Yeah, asteroid can't come soon enough.
- 49:19Speaker 2: I'm offended. I'm offended that my dear sweet friend told
- 49:23Speaker 2: me I wasn't stylish, So I'm angry.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Wow, your friend who went to fashion school, Come on, Krysten.
- 49:29Speaker 5: He's very stylish.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Yeah, she knows.
- 49:32Speaker 5: I'm just picking on her.
- 49:34Speaker 3: It might have been sarcasm. I don't know.
- 49:37Speaker 2: It probably was sarcasm. Just her sense of humor is missing.
- 49:41Speaker 2: That might have also been.
- 49:42Speaker 5: Along with my kindness.
- 49:46Speaker 1: And you're baby making bits darn.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Wowsers.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Oh man, this was this was a delightful show. I

- 50:42Speaker 3: Look, he's like, why are you picking me up?
