- 0:59Speaker 1: back to Misunderstood. I'm your host, Rachel Yucatel. So I've
- 1:03Speaker 1: always been fascinated with the mysterious world of psychics and mediums.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Have you been?
- 1:08Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's something that we all are
- 1:09Speaker 1: a little bit, I don't know, skeptical about, we wanna believe,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and then some people really do believe. So I really
- 1:16Speaker 1: wanted to have a guest on to kind of debunk
- 1:19Speaker 1: all the myths to talk to me about why they
- 1:21Speaker 1: got into this. And I think I found the perfect
- 1:24Speaker 1: guest for you. You know, when you lose someone, I
- 1:27Speaker 1: think it's natural to wonder, obviously, about the afterlife, to
- 1:32Speaker 1: wonder if that person is talking to you, if they
- 1:34Speaker 1: can see you. And, you know, we really got to
- 1:37Speaker 1: the bottom of the difference between psychics and mediums and
- 1:41Speaker 1: if the afterworld really does exist. So today I get
- 1:45Speaker 1: to talk to Cindy Kaza. She's an amazing psychic medium.
- 1:49Speaker 1: She stars on the hit travel channel show, The Dead Files.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And you can currently find her on tour all over
- 1:54Speaker 1: the United States, helping connect her audience with their loved
- 1:58Speaker 1: ones on the other side. So if you guys haven't
- 2:01Speaker 1: seen The Dead Files, by the way, on the travel channel,
- 2:04Speaker 1: you should really watch it. So I had not seen
- 2:06Speaker 1: the show before I interviewed her. And in doing some
- 2:08Speaker 1: research on her, I did watch some episodes and it's
- 2:11Speaker 1: actually really great. And when I asked her about the show,
- 2:15Speaker 1: she really does confirm that it is not staged. The
- 2:18Speaker 1: producers do not tell her where they are going. They
- 2:21Speaker 1: do not tell her what to say, what to feel.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So it is really interesting to hear the process of
- 2:27Speaker 1: that show and how real it is. Cindy is so
- 2:31Speaker 1: cool and grounded. Not what you might imagine for a
- 2:34Speaker 1: psychic medium. She has such a way of explaining things
- 2:37Speaker 1: or events that sometimes seem unexplainable. We talk about following
- 2:40Speaker 1: your intuition and how that manifests differently in everyone, whether
- 2:44Speaker 1: we should believe in signs. And Cindy actually opens up
- 2:47Speaker 1: about a personal story of loss and what signs mean
- 2:49Speaker 1: to her. We talk about spirit guides and if we
- 2:53Speaker 1: all have one and what they look like. Our conversation
- 2:55Speaker 1: didn't stop at just the mysteries of the present life.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Cindy spoke passionately about forgiveness, soul integration, death, and the afterlife.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I learned so much from talking to her, and she
- 3:05Speaker 1: really gave me a glimpse into this mystical world of
- 3:07Speaker 1: the unknown. Whether you are a believer or a skeptic,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I know you will take something spiritual away from this episode.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So please sit back and enjoy with me this conversation
- 3:19Speaker 1: with Cindy Kaza. Hi Cindy, thank you so much for
- 3:54Speaker 1: joining me on Misunderstood.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks for having me.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So the first thing I wanted to start with, there
- 3:59Speaker 1: is a distinction between a psychic and a medium, correct
- 4:02Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong, but most people in the modern
- 4:05Speaker 1: world use the terms interchangeably. So I wanted to start
- 4:08Speaker 1: with the definition from you and the difference.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a great question. So psychics pick up on past,
- 4:14Speaker 3: present and future. So if you're going to a psychic,
- 4:17Speaker 3: you would be asking questions about your own life, people
- 4:19Speaker 3: in your life. A lot of people ask questions about relationships, work,
- 4:23Speaker 3: so on and so forth. Right. Mediums communicate with spirits,
- 4:27Speaker 3: with people. energies and other dimensions. So all mediums are psychic, right?
- 4:33Speaker 3: So I call myself a psychic medium just because I
- 4:36Speaker 3: want people to understand that I can do both, but
- 4:38Speaker 3: medium would be enough technically to say I'm a medium, right?
- 4:42Speaker 3: But I'll say like not all psychics have the same
- 4:45Speaker 3: level of mediumistic ability. So some people will just work
- 4:48Speaker 3: on a psychic level, which is amazing, but they won't
- 4:51Speaker 3: really go into connecting with the spirit world. And I particularly,
- 4:55Speaker 3: particularly prefer to work with spirits. So Anyway, that's that's
- 4:58Speaker 3: the difference. But a lot of people, you're right, they
- 5:00Speaker 3: don't know that.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So and explain this like spirit world as opposed to
- 5:05Speaker 1: people that are dealing with tarot cards and, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: talking about your past and if you're going to marry
- 5:09Speaker 1: the person you're with now or whatever. So like, how
- 5:13Speaker 1: do you identify what you're good at?
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, just through experience, through trying different things. I teach
- 5:21Speaker 3: mediumship a lot and intuitive development. And I always tell
- 5:24Speaker 3: my students, just be open to whatever is happening. And
- 5:26Speaker 3: some students find they're just working on a more psychic level,
- 5:29Speaker 3: but it's one is not better than the other. So
- 5:32Speaker 3: I really want to stress that they're both really useful.
- 5:35Speaker 3: But you won't really know until you get validated, until
- 5:39Speaker 3: you try different things. And, you know, psychic work is
- 5:42Speaker 3: is really I have a friend who's a psychic investigator.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So she works with law enforcement to help solve crimes.
- 5:48Speaker 3: That is not my forte. It's not my cup of
- 5:51Speaker 3: tea necessarily. But like, I see how powerful her work is.
- 5:54Speaker 3: And she's really good at what she does. She literally
- 5:56Speaker 3: works with law enforcement to help solve murders, find missing people.
- 6:00Speaker 3: It's pretty amazing.
- 6:02Speaker 1: So I've always wondered about that because you see that
- 6:04Speaker 1: a lot on shows and, you know, you never well,
- 6:07Speaker 1: you assume it's mostly scripted, but it's like if somebody
- 6:10Speaker 1: can actually speak to the dead, why? And they're dealing
- 6:13Speaker 1: with a homicide. Wouldn't they be able to, you know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: conjure up the spirit of the person that died and
- 6:17Speaker 1: find out who killed them or where their body is
- 6:19Speaker 1: if they're missing?
- 6:20Speaker 3: Not necessarily. I mean, and look like television, the shows
- 6:23Speaker 3: that I'm on are not scripted. Like when I'm walking
- 6:25Speaker 3: into an investigation, I'm going in. They don't tell me anything.
- 6:28Speaker 3: So I'm on dead file season 15. It's a new
- 6:30Speaker 3: show that I'm on. I mean, the show's been on
- 6:32Speaker 3: for a long time, but I'm a new co host
- 6:34Speaker 3: to the show. When I go in, they don't tell
- 6:37Speaker 3: me anything. I have no idea whose house I'm going into.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Like a lot of times a hotel is 40 minutes
- 6:43Speaker 3: away from the actual actual location that we're investigating. I
- 6:47Speaker 3: walk in, I see what I'm getting. They don't tell
- 6:49Speaker 3: me whether I got anything right until the end either.
- 6:52Speaker 3: So it's one of those things where like, you just
- 6:55Speaker 3: have to like, show up and just get what you're getting,
- 6:58Speaker 3: trust that it's going to work out. And that's all
- 7:00Speaker 3: that you can do. But it's not necessarily like if
- 7:04Speaker 3: somebody is working on a psychic level, they might be
- 7:06Speaker 3: able to see where the body is, they might psychically
- 7:08Speaker 3: be able to see who killed the person. But if
- 7:11Speaker 3: they're working psychically, that doesn't mean they're connecting to the
- 7:14Speaker 3: spirit of the person who's on the other side, because
- 7:16Speaker 3: they may might be more psychic than they are mediumistic.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So you said that sometimes you'll walk into a place
- 7:21Speaker 1: and get a feeling. How do you turn that on
- 7:24Speaker 1: versus turn it off? I mean, I would assume that
- 7:26Speaker 1: if you're, you can't just have a conversation with anyone
- 7:29Speaker 1: from like the supermarket to your family and like hear
- 7:32Speaker 1: these spirits all the time, right?
- 7:33Speaker 3: No, that would be awful. Yeah, so- No, I do
- 7:37Speaker 3: not walk around talking to dead people all day. I
- 7:40Speaker 3: have a life that I want to live of my own.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I try to be as grounded as possible. I describe
- 7:45Speaker 3: it like this. It's like if you could imagine a
- 7:47Speaker 3: radio that's plugged into an electrical outlet, right? There's always
- 7:50Speaker 3: going to be a current, an underlying current running through.
- 7:53Speaker 3: But now I can control how high I turn up
- 7:56Speaker 3: the volume. So when I'm going to a location to work,
- 7:59Speaker 3: I turn the volume up high. When I leave, I
- 8:01Speaker 3: turn it back down.
- 8:03Speaker 2: So you spoke about saying that you teach this.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Can you teach this to anyone or someone has to
- 8:09Speaker 1: innately have had some sort of experience when they were
- 8:11Speaker 1: younger at some point in their life where they know
- 8:14Speaker 1: that they are open to this?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Look, I think everybody comes into this world with the
- 8:19Speaker 3: ability to feel these energies. I do not in any
- 8:22Speaker 3: way think I'm like this Oracle, you must come to me.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I think we all have it to a degree. I
- 8:27Speaker 3: always say everyone can play the piano. Not everybody's going
- 8:30Speaker 3: to be a concert pianist, but we all have the
- 8:33Speaker 3: ability to feel energies. And people walk around all the
- 8:36Speaker 3: time in daily life saying, oh man, I should have
- 8:39Speaker 3: trusted my gut. I should have trusted my gut. What
- 8:41Speaker 3: they're really saying when they say that is I should
- 8:43Speaker 3: have trusted my intuition. I should have trusted my psychic
- 8:46Speaker 3: ability just using different language. And I can't stress enough
- 8:50Speaker 3: how important language is when we're talking about this subject
- 8:53Speaker 3: because people feel a lot more comfortable saying intuition or
- 8:58Speaker 3: they feel a lot more comfortable saying.
- 9:00Speaker 4: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 9:03Speaker 4: for it?
- 9:03Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 9:06Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 9:09Speaker 4: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 9:11Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Where?
- 9:15Speaker 5: Dunaidial.
- 9:16Speaker 6: There's an accent on the E.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Do you mean.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Done Deal Cars.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Lift? Please.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 9:24Speaker 7: Oh, Kimmage.
- 9:25Speaker 3: No.
- 9:26Speaker 6: Done Deal Cars.
- 9:27Speaker 7: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I had a dream that this happened and then it happened.
- 9:33Speaker 3: But those experiences are psychic experiences. But the word psychic,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you know, has a little bit of a stigma attached
- 9:40Speaker 3: to it. So people are having these experiences all the time.
- 9:43Speaker 3: They might be describing the experiences using different language. But
- 9:46Speaker 3: at the end of the day, I really, really believe
- 9:49Speaker 3: that we all, again, have the ability to feel these energies.
- 9:54Speaker 1: How did you first come to realize that you might
- 9:56Speaker 1: have some of these abilities? You were 10 years old
- 9:59Speaker 1: when you had your first experience.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Right?
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and the first experience I had was 10. There
- 10:03Speaker 3: was a girl in my elementary school who passed away
- 10:06Speaker 3: in a car accident. And after she died, I woke
- 10:10Speaker 3: up in the middle of the night and I saw
- 10:11Speaker 3: her standing directly next to my bed, like a full
- 10:13Speaker 3: body apparition. It was terrifying. And I pulled the covers
- 10:17Speaker 3: over my head. I pulled them back down and she
- 10:19Speaker 3: was still standing there. So that's my first experience. Did
- 10:23Speaker 3: I understand that I was a psychic medium at that moment? No,
- 10:26Speaker 3: I was 10. You know, I grew up in a
- 10:29Speaker 3: family that was religious. Most of my family is super Catholic.
- 10:33Speaker 3: There are some, you know, born again Christian in the family, too.
- 10:36Speaker 3: So we didn't talk about stuff like this at all.
- 10:39Speaker 3: But I will tell you, my mother used to always
- 10:41Speaker 3: say when I was a kid, Cindy's really sensitive. She
- 10:43Speaker 3: can see things about people. Right. And that was true.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I mean. I knew when things were going to happen
- 10:49Speaker 3: before they did. I could read people very well. I
- 10:51Speaker 3: could feel energies around me, but I didn't have the
- 10:54Speaker 3: language to describe my experiences. I didn't know what a
- 10:57Speaker 3: psychic medium was. And it wasn't until I was 19,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I met this woman named Bonnie, who then became my
- 11:04Speaker 3: first mentor. She looked at me and said, you're a
- 11:07Speaker 3: psychic medium. And I was like, what are you talking about, lady?
- 11:10Speaker 3: I was like, what are you talking about? But she
- 11:12Speaker 3: was also a psychic medium. So she saw that in me.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And I would spend time with her and she would
- 11:17Speaker 3: talk to me about metaphysics and psychic things and mediumship
- 11:21Speaker 3: and spirits. And it still wasn't quite landing until my
- 11:25Speaker 3: 20s when it just started making more sense. And then,
- 11:29Speaker 3: you know, I looked back at the experience that I
- 11:31Speaker 3: had when I was a 10 and And I was like, Oh,
- 11:34Speaker 3: that really was real. I really was seeing a spirit
- 11:36Speaker 3: because for many years, I never forgot that experience. I
- 11:40Speaker 3: knew something happened, but I didn't know, was I dreaming?
- 11:44Speaker 3: What was that? Right. And then I realized all along,
- 11:47Speaker 3: like all these experience I was having were, were because
- 11:50Speaker 3: I'm so sensitive and I'm a psychic medium, but it's
- 11:53Speaker 3: really common for people to have dreams of their loved
- 11:56Speaker 3: ones after they they've died. I mean, it's like, I
- 11:59Speaker 3: ask it all in my live events. I do a
- 12:01Speaker 3: lot of live events where I, you know, tour and
- 12:03Speaker 3: bring through people's loved ones who have passed away. And
- 12:06Speaker 3: at the beginning of every live event, I ask people,
- 12:08Speaker 3: how many of you have had visitation dreams with your
- 12:10Speaker 3: loved ones after they've died? And I'd say in almost
- 12:14Speaker 3: every audience, it's at least 70% of the audience. It's huge.
- 12:18Speaker 3: And visitation dreams, it's not just like you're seeing an
- 12:22Speaker 3: image of your loved one and then you wake up.
- 12:24Speaker 3: It's very specific. It's powerful. You'll never forget it. You'll
- 12:27Speaker 3: remember what they were wearing, how you felt. It's a
- 12:31Speaker 3: dream that you will never forget. And a lot of
- 12:33Speaker 3: people have had them. Another common experience people have is
- 12:37Speaker 3: smelling cigarette smoke or perfume or something in the room
- 12:40Speaker 3: when there's nobody there smoking or wearing perfume. Yeah, so
- 12:45Speaker 3: I mean, look, these experiences are more common than people recognize,
- 12:49Speaker 3: but they're also a lot more subtle than what people
- 12:52Speaker 3: think they should be like based on what we see
- 12:55Speaker 3: in Hollywood, like The Sixth Sense, that movie. I use
- 12:59Speaker 3: it as an example. It's an excellent movie. It got
- 13:01Speaker 3: a lot of things right. But I don't know a
- 13:06Speaker 3: single medium who can't tell the difference between somebody who's
- 13:11Speaker 3: alive or dead all of the time, right? Like they
- 13:13Speaker 3: might see a full body apparition and be confused for
- 13:16Speaker 3: a second, but then usually they realize what happened, right?
- 13:20Speaker 3: And the signs are usually a lot more subtle than that,
- 13:22Speaker 3: way more subtle.
- 13:24Speaker 2: My schedule has been crazy lately. Hasn't yours been?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Between working on my podcast, having house guests, doing my
- 13:30Speaker 1: daily activities, dealing with my daughter, I was just feeling
- 13:33Speaker 1: stressed and sluggish and just not focused like I should be.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I gave AG1 a try because I wanted a single
- 13:39Speaker 1: solution that could help support my entire body. I'm terrible
- 13:43Speaker 1: when it comes to taking supplements. Daily especially, I always
- 13:46Speaker 1: forget and I was so over taking a handful of
- 13:48Speaker 1: different things that just didn't seem to help. With AG1,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I get a boost of energy and It supports my
- 13:54Speaker 1: immune system and it tastes great. When I started drinking
- 13:58Speaker 1: AG1 daily, I could feel a real difference in my
- 14:01Speaker 1: daily health. I had energy again. I felt more relaxed
- 14:04Speaker 1: and I could focus on work and be there for
- 14:06Speaker 1: my daughter and the people that need me. That's because
- 14:09Speaker 1: AG1 is a foundational nutritional supplement that supports your body's
- 14:12Speaker 1: universal needs like gut optimization, stress management, and immune support.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Since 2010, AG1 has led the future of foundational nutrition.
- 14:22Speaker 1: continuously refining their formula to create a smarter, better way
- 14:26Speaker 1: to elevate your baseline health. So as a morning ritual,
- 14:30Speaker 1: I make my AG1 supplement by adding eight to 12
- 14:33Speaker 1: ounces of water. And I put a squeeze of lemon
- 14:36Speaker 1: and a squeeze of lime in to mix it. And
- 14:39Speaker 1: sometimes I actually put like very cold, icy water. I
- 14:42Speaker 1: shake it and I drink it. And then in the afternoon,
- 14:45Speaker 1: I put one drop into anything I might be drinking
- 14:49Speaker 1: that afternoon, but I put one drop of the vitamin D3K2.
- 14:52Speaker 1: And I just, you know, I don't have that sluggish
- 14:55Speaker 1: feeling in the afternoon anymore. And it really has become
- 14:58Speaker 1: my ritual. Even my friends have started taking the opportunity
- 15:03Speaker 1: to drink AG1, and they tell me always how much
- 15:06Speaker 1: they love it. They feel like their body is getting
- 15:08Speaker 1: all the nutrients it craves, and I really couldn't agree more.
- 15:11Speaker 1: AG1 is the supplement I trust to provide the support
- 15:14Speaker 1: my body needs daily, and that's why I'm so excited
- 15:17Speaker 1: to welcome them as a new partner to Misunderstood. If
- 15:20Speaker 1: you want to take ownership of your health, it starts
- 15:23Speaker 1: with AG1. Try AG1 and get a free one-year supply

- 15:44Speaker 1: slash understood and check it out. There's no promo code
- 15:48Speaker 1: that you can use. You have to type that in
- 15:50Speaker 1: exactly as I'm saying it to be able to get
- 15:53Speaker 1: this free one-year supply and free AG1 travel pack. So
- 15:58Speaker 1: make sure you type it correctly. It's drinkag1. com slash understood.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I can't wait to hear how you feel.
- 16:07Speaker 2: So and are you.
- 16:09Speaker 1: As a medium, when you say you're communicating, are you
- 16:13Speaker 1: seeing like when you're doing this in a group setting?
- 16:17Speaker 1: Are you seeing just a bunch of people or hearing
- 16:20Speaker 1: like I know you said about the radio thing, but
- 16:22Speaker 1: like how do you deal with it when you're in
- 16:23Speaker 1: a huge room of people? And obviously the people attending
- 16:26Speaker 1: are all really wanting to be picked or connect with someone.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So how do you kind of pick who you're going with?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah. So I don't go directly to people in the
- 16:35Speaker 3: audience first. That's not how I work. I go to
- 16:37Speaker 3: the spirit world first and I see who's coming through.
- 16:40Speaker 3: So it'll be something like this. Like I'd say, I
- 16:42Speaker 3: have a dad, he died of cancer. I'm hearing the
- 16:45Speaker 3: name Pat. I feel pulled to this area who understands this.
- 16:48Speaker 7: Right.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And the way that the information comes through, I describe
- 16:53Speaker 3: it kind of like playing a game of pictionary charades
- 16:56Speaker 3: and telephone all at the same time. If you could
- 16:58Speaker 3: imagine that because it's, I see, which is using clairvoyance.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Clairvoyance means clear seeing. So it's like if you were
- 17:08Speaker 3: to think of an image of your loved one in
- 17:09Speaker 3: your mind, that's how I see. Usually it's not full
- 17:13Speaker 3: body apparition. It's in the mind, the mind's eye. I hear,
- 17:17Speaker 3: which is called clairaudience, but it's not external auditory most
- 17:21Speaker 3: of the time. Rarely is it for me. It's like
- 17:23Speaker 3: if you were to sing the words to your favorite
- 17:25Speaker 3: song in your head. It sounds like I'm talking to myself,
- 17:28Speaker 3: but it's actually not coming from me. Yep. And then
- 17:32Speaker 3: I can feel.
- 17:33Speaker 4: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 17:36Speaker 4: for it?
- 17:36Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 17:39Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 17:42Speaker 4: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 17:44Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Where?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Dunaidial.
- 17:49Speaker 6: There's an accent on the E.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Do you mean.
- 17:52Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dundiel Cars.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Lyft?
- 17:55Speaker 7: Please.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 17:57Speaker 6: Oh, Kimmage.
- 17:58Speaker 3: No.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Done deal cars.
- 18:00Speaker 7: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Their personalities. I can feel their emotions. I can feel
- 18:07Speaker 3: how they were when they were alive, which is clairsentient.
- 18:10Speaker 3: So one spirit might give me three pieces of information
- 18:14Speaker 3: using three different clairs. I might see the name, I
- 18:18Speaker 3: might feel how they died, and I might hear where
- 18:21Speaker 3: they lived or something like that. So when I talk
- 18:25Speaker 3: about studying mediumship and teaching mediumship, It's not that I'm
- 18:29Speaker 3: teaching somebody like necessarily how to be a medium, like
- 18:32Speaker 3: they have to be open enough to have the information
- 18:35Speaker 3: coming through. But it's more learning how to navigate all
- 18:40Speaker 3: of the pieces of information coming at you really quickly.
- 18:44Speaker 3: And what and when I'm working with a large group
- 18:46Speaker 3: of 300 people. There are a lot of spirits there.
- 18:50Speaker 3: So you also have to learn how to navigate like
- 18:52Speaker 3: the line of spirits waiting to come in, how to
- 18:55Speaker 3: be grounded in that experience as a medium, because it
- 18:59Speaker 3: can be really difficult.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So if we have anyone listening that is interested in
- 19:04Speaker 1: kind of learning and opening themselves up to this, is
- 19:08Speaker 1: there any sort of advice or like a couple tips
- 19:10Speaker 1: you can give people to see if they can be
- 19:13Speaker 1: more open?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Well, I'd say the biggest piece of advice I have
- 19:16Speaker 3: for everybody is to trust your experiences because the one
- 19:20Speaker 3: thing that people do most often is they have an
- 19:23Speaker 3: experience and then they immediately tell themselves they made it up.
- 19:26Speaker 3: It's not real. It's all in their head and that
- 19:29Speaker 3: it can't possibly be true. So the more you believe,
- 19:32Speaker 3: the more you receive. If you can't get out of
- 19:35Speaker 3: your own way and that's going to be very hard
- 19:37Speaker 3: to move forward and to trust that the spirit world
- 19:40Speaker 3: is really there, right? Yeah. And another piece of advice
- 19:45Speaker 3: would be again, like studying, sit in meditation, allow yourself
- 19:50Speaker 3: to be still long enough to feel, feel these energies
- 19:54Speaker 3: coming in. Because again, I can't stress enough how subtle
- 19:57Speaker 3: it can be. And if you can't sit still enough
- 20:00Speaker 3: to notice the subtleties, you're going to miss them. Yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 3: so there are a lot of different things. I mean,
- 20:05Speaker 3: it's like, I mean, this could be a whole podcast
- 20:07Speaker 3: on mediumship development, right? If I had an hour to
- 20:09Speaker 3: just talk about that. But I mean, the biggest thing
- 20:12Speaker 3: is the trust. It's really hard to move forward if
- 20:15Speaker 3: you can't trust your experiences. Right.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Do you believe in signs? A lot of people will say, oh, my.
- 20:21Speaker 1: so-and-so loved rainbows or they loved, you know, butterflies. And
- 20:25Speaker 1: then after that person passes, they will see that all
- 20:28Speaker 1: the time.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Do you believe in that?
- 20:29Speaker 1: And is that a real thing? Or do you think
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's somebody really just holding out hope and now kind
- 20:36Speaker 1: of pointing those things out because they know that that
- 20:38Speaker 1: reminds them of that person?
- 20:40Speaker 3: Look, I believe in signs. I believe in symbols. I
- 20:43Speaker 3: believe in all of it. Here's my take on that.
- 20:46Speaker 3: It's not that the spirit, and this is my personal belief, right?
- 20:49Speaker 3: Everybody has their own way of experiencing the spirit world,
- 20:52Speaker 3: their own views and values and whatnot. But it's not
- 20:57Speaker 3: like the spirit of the person is inside the butterfly.
- 21:00Speaker 3: It feels more like this. You might be walking down
- 21:03Speaker 3: the street and all of the sudden, You're like, I
- 21:05Speaker 3: have to look left and there you look and there's
- 21:07Speaker 3: a butterfly right next to you. Had you not been
- 21:10Speaker 3: guided to look at that moment in that direction, you
- 21:12Speaker 3: would have totally missed it. And I just want to share,
- 21:16Speaker 3: you know, because sometimes it can sound kind of like
- 21:18Speaker 3: cheesy when I'm giving a reading. I'm like, oh, no,
- 21:20Speaker 3: do I really have to say look for rainbows and
- 21:22Speaker 3: like this feels so cheesy, but I'll tell you. Like, like, uh,
- 21:28Speaker 3: my brother passed away last year. Right. And, and it's, it's,
- 21:31Speaker 3: thank you. It's been very interesting for me, uh, as
- 21:35Speaker 3: somebody working in this field professionally, who can connect with
- 21:38Speaker 3: other people's loved ones all the time to not be
- 21:41Speaker 3: able to feel my brother around me. So this has
- 21:43Speaker 3: been like, he's dead. He's been dead for a year.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Haven't really felt him, but at his funeral and everybody
- 21:51Speaker 3: saw this at the funeral. Uh, we looked up and
- 21:54Speaker 3: there was like a rainbow around the sun. It's some
- 21:57Speaker 3: sort of a, it's, it's called something. I can't remember
- 22:00Speaker 3: what it's called, but it's a meteorological, um, phenomenon or something. Yeah. Phenomenon. So,
- 22:06Speaker 3: so we all saw it. Like everybody at the funeral
- 22:08Speaker 3: is taking pictures of it. We're like, this is crazy.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And then, um, I went to the Airbnb after his funeral.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I'm sitting on the deck. It's raining another rainbow. It's
- 22:19Speaker 3: like right going through the lawn. I mean, it's low.
- 22:22Speaker 3: It's like below the trees. And like, this is also
- 22:26Speaker 3: very interesting. And then so I'm like, OK, my brother's
- 22:30Speaker 3: sign is rainbows. I'm just going to trust that. What
- 22:32Speaker 3: more do I need to know that his sign is rainbows?
- 22:36Speaker 3: And then we spread his ashes this summer in a
- 22:38Speaker 3: lake and it was not raining. It was like a
- 22:42Speaker 3: beautiful day. spread the ashes, and there are five people
- 22:45Speaker 3: in the boat. We look up and there are these
- 22:48Speaker 3: micro mini rainbows forming all over the place. Like, I'd
- 22:51Speaker 3: love to send you pictures of this because I've never
- 22:54Speaker 3: seen anything like it. It wasn't a full rainbow. It
- 22:56Speaker 3: was just like these little rainbows kind of appearing everywhere. And,
- 23:01Speaker 3: you know, so I know that signs and symbols, like
- 23:04Speaker 3: I could not explain that. None of us could. We're like,
- 23:06Speaker 3: how is this even happening? Like, how is this happening?
- 23:09Speaker 3: So I don't feel my brother coming near me and saying, Hey, Cindy,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I'm here. Good to see you. But I see the
- 23:14Speaker 3: rainbows and that's that, that feels right to me. There've
- 23:18Speaker 3: been way too many situations or things that have occurred
- 23:21Speaker 3: since he died with rainbows for me to deny that,
- 23:25Speaker 3: you know? So I think it's important for people to
- 23:28Speaker 3: like trust those experiences too. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
- 23:32Speaker 2: That's really good advice. And that's a beautiful story that
- 23:34Speaker 2: gave me chills.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Let's talk about the skeptics right now, because for me,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I lost my father when I was young. I lost
- 23:43Speaker 1: my fiance when we were engaged.
- 23:45Speaker 2: And I've been open about it.
- 23:47Speaker 1: It's something that people can Google me and they know
- 23:49Speaker 1: everything about those stories. And I've had people try to
- 23:52Speaker 1: connect me with psychics or mediums in the past. And
- 23:56Speaker 1: I've been really hesitant, actually a couple, I think once really,
- 23:59Speaker 1: I was really read by somebody, but I was very
- 24:02Speaker 1: skeptical about going into it because I feel like so
- 24:05Speaker 1: many people can do their due diligence on someone and
- 24:08Speaker 1: then kind of know what to say. And talk to
- 24:11Speaker 1: me about whether or not this is a real profession
- 24:14Speaker 1: and if this is a.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Real thing or if people can learn it.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm not saying this to be offensive at all, but
- 24:20Speaker 1: for example, I interviewed a mentalist who was doing kind
- 24:25Speaker 1: of all the same things that a psychic could.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Do, right?
- 24:28Speaker 1: They can predict things, they could kind of, and he
- 24:31Speaker 1: explained to me that you can really learn it. I mean,
- 24:33Speaker 1: it's about learning people, it's about learning body language and
- 24:38Speaker 1: then kind of steering them in the way to get
- 24:40Speaker 1: them to answer or to get you to say things
- 24:43Speaker 1: that they kind of egg you on and then you
- 24:44Speaker 1: know where you're going. So talk to me about how
- 24:47Speaker 1: to deal with the misconceptions and the skeptics, please.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Well, sure. OK, so I learned a long time ago
- 24:53Speaker 3: my job is not to turn skeptics into believers. It
- 24:56Speaker 3: is a lost cause. It is not the right use
- 24:58Speaker 3: of my energy. It's just like I believe in what
- 25:01Speaker 3: I do. I know it's real. I go, you know,
- 25:04Speaker 3: do readings all the time. I can't deny the things
- 25:07Speaker 3: that have happened with me having zero information. Right. So
- 25:10Speaker 3: let me just say that to begin with. Are there
- 25:12Speaker 3: people that lie and are there frauds? Absolutely. They exist
- 25:16Speaker 3: in this profession too. It's very unfortunate. But what I
- 25:20Speaker 3: will say is this, like- Wait.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Can I ask you a quick question? Can you spot
- 25:23Speaker 2: those people immediately?
- 25:24Speaker 3: Not always. Okay. Not always. And- Uh, mentalists.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:31Speaker 3: I don't know much about mentalism, but I do know
- 25:33Speaker 3: mentalists tend to dislike mediums because they think we're mentalists
- 25:36Speaker 3: when I'm not a mentalist and I've never studied mentalism. Right.
- 25:40Speaker 3: But what I'll say is this, like, how is it that.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I can be given zero information about an investigation I'm doing. Zero.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Like the production company goes so far, I don't even
- 25:52Speaker 3: have the address of the location. They put me in
- 25:54Speaker 3: a van so I can't see it. They don't tell
- 25:56Speaker 3: me where I'm going. And go in and get this
- 25:59Speaker 3: information that's, you know, validated after. That makes sense. Getting
- 26:04Speaker 3: names and things like that.
- 26:05Speaker 4: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 26:08Speaker 4: for it?
- 26:08Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with? they have
- 26:11Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 26:14Speaker 4: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 26:16Speaker 6: It's Dunediel.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Where?
- 26:20Speaker 5: Dunediel.
- 26:21Speaker 6: There's an accent on the E.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Do you mean.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dunediel Cars.
- 26:26Speaker 5: Lift?
- 26:27Speaker 4: Please. You going past Kimmage?
- 26:29Speaker 6: Oh, Kimmage.
- 26:30Speaker 5: No.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Dunediel Cars.
- 26:32Speaker 7: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Like, how would I know that? You know, I don't
- 26:37Speaker 3: have the information ahead of time. And doing live events,
- 26:41Speaker 3: I could do a live event blindfolded and still get
- 26:43Speaker 3: the same information. Really?
- 26:45Speaker 2: Oh my goodness.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Sure. I mean, it's weird to do it blindfolded if
- 26:49Speaker 3: you're in front of 300 people with a blindfold on
- 26:51Speaker 3: the whole time. You know, that's awkward, but it's possible. Right. And,
- 26:54Speaker 3: you know, I've done readings at live events where I've
- 26:56Speaker 3: turned my back to the audience and brought through a reading.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I can't even see the person that I'm reading for.
- 27:02Speaker 3: And it's the same thing like with Dead Files, the
- 27:04Speaker 3: show that I'm on now, like I'm not interacting with
- 27:07Speaker 3: the families that live there when I'm doing the walkthroughs.
- 27:10Speaker 3: There's nobody there except for the camera guys. Right. So
- 27:13Speaker 3: I'm not reading anybody's body language because there's nobody there
- 27:16Speaker 3: to read.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Wow. I just got chills again. I watched a couple.
- 27:20Speaker 2: So you've been on three episodes that have aired so far.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 27:22Speaker 2: You started September 7th?
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Three.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So I watched, I guess two at this point and
- 27:27Speaker 1: they're really good. I did not know before. And so
- 27:31Speaker 1: that was my main question. Is it, is any of
- 27:33Speaker 1: it scripted?
- 27:34Speaker 2: You've kind of answered it. It's not.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I mean, obviously it's, it's scripted in the way that
- 27:38Speaker 1: they're finding these homes and they're finding these situations obviously.
- 27:43Speaker 1: And then they're bringing you, but they're not explaining to
- 27:45Speaker 1: you how they want you to react and what they
- 27:46Speaker 1: want you to say.
- 27:48Speaker 3: They don't tell me anything. And then at the end,
- 27:50Speaker 3: you'll see with the reveal, right? With my partner, Steve DeShave,
- 27:53Speaker 3: who's the retired homicide detective. We don't interact until we're
- 27:58Speaker 3: on camera at the end. So when you see us
- 28:00Speaker 3: being surprised, like, oh my God, I can't believe this
- 28:03Speaker 3: lined up that way is because we literally haven't spoken
- 28:05Speaker 3: about what the other person got until that moment. So
- 28:08Speaker 3: both of our reactions are really genuine. We're just like,
- 28:11Speaker 3: oh my God, like, So, yeah, I mean, it's it's look,
- 28:15Speaker 3: I mean, it's it's unfortunate that there are people out
- 28:18Speaker 3: there like. without good intentions, that are frauds, that are
- 28:23Speaker 3: making us all look bad. It sucks. But all that
- 28:27Speaker 3: I can do as a psychic medium is be me
- 28:30Speaker 3: and be in integrity and do the best that I
- 28:34Speaker 3: can do. And I'll tell you this too, another misconception
- 28:37Speaker 3: that people have about psychics and mediums is that we're
- 28:40Speaker 3: supposed to know everything, get everything right all the time.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And that's also not true. And, and because we can
- 28:46Speaker 3: misinterpret we, we, the information has to be filtered through
- 28:50Speaker 3: our awareness as well right and so.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Right and your experience of what they're saying I would
- 28:56Speaker 1: assume that's hard.
- 28:57Speaker 3: It can be right. It can be hard because you
- 29:00Speaker 3: have to get out of your own way enough to
- 29:02Speaker 3: let it come in without misinterpreting or filtering it through
- 29:06Speaker 3: your lens in a way that's like, um, what's the word?
- 29:10Speaker 3: Like it's a projection, right? You can project things into
- 29:13Speaker 3: a reading without meaning to. Uh, so that's another thing
- 29:16Speaker 3: like with studying mediumship, it's learning how to get out
- 29:19Speaker 3: of your own way and get out of your own
- 29:21Speaker 3: mind enough, uh, One of my mentors used to say,
- 29:27Speaker 3: to be a good medium, you have to lose your mind.
- 29:31Speaker 3: And I was like, what is he saying? I was like, oh,
- 29:32Speaker 3: I get it. You have to get out of your
- 29:34Speaker 3: own way. Yeah.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 29:36Speaker 2: It's so interesting.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Has it ever backfired? Like when I was watching the show. show,
- 29:40Speaker 1: I was thinking, well, what if these families.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Got it wrong?
- 29:43Speaker 1: What if there are no paranormal things going on there?
- 29:46Speaker 1: then would you walk into a situation and be like,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I don't see anything here. There's nothing here. Like, how
- 29:51Speaker 1: would that work?
- 29:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. No, I mean, if that were the case,
- 29:54Speaker 3: if I really didn't see anything, I would say it.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I think what happens because- Has that ever happened? It
- 30:01Speaker 3: hasn't happened. Not yet. Because I think the production company
- 30:04Speaker 3: does enough- research in the sense where they make sure
- 30:08Speaker 3: they're not going to put me on an episode like that,
- 30:10Speaker 3: because they really make sure the family is like not
- 30:13Speaker 3: making stuff up, you know, like they, they really do
- 30:17Speaker 3: a good job with that. But there have been experiences
- 30:20Speaker 3: and not just on dead.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Files, right?
- 30:21Speaker 3: Like if I talk about my career and places I've
- 30:24Speaker 3: been and people I've spoken to where people have said
- 30:26Speaker 3: to me, like, there's something in my house, it's a demon.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I'm like, no, it's not. It's not a demon. You know,
- 30:31Speaker 3: that's not what's happening here. I have no problem telling
- 30:34Speaker 3: people that I don't see activity in their home that
- 30:38Speaker 3: I would tell people exhaust all of the other options
- 30:41Speaker 3: before you assume it's paranormal activity make sure it's not
- 30:45Speaker 3: you know something with the pipes that you're hearing bangs
- 30:48Speaker 3: in the night or whatever yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And I do notice that Steve has made an attempt
- 30:53Speaker 1: as he's interviewing people to say well could that be
- 30:55Speaker 1: that you're misinterpreting that so that does come out in
- 30:59Speaker 1: the show and obviously in reality when you're doing stuff
- 31:01Speaker 1: What makes a place haunted and why would a spirit
- 31:04Speaker 1: haunt a person or a place, you know, besides, you know,
- 31:09Speaker 1: or why would they haunt them as opposed to coming
- 31:11Speaker 1: to be like, hi, I'm here.
- 31:12Speaker 2: I'm okay. I want you to move on and be happy.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Like what's the whole thing with haunting?
- 31:17Speaker 3: Well, look, when we say haunted, right. It's usually represents
- 31:21Speaker 3: something terrifying that's happening. Right. We could also just say
- 31:25Speaker 3: paranormal activity or activity. And look, I sit with this
- 31:31Speaker 3: a lot to say like, what is really going on?
- 31:33Speaker 3: Because it's hard for me to believe that a soul
- 31:36Speaker 3: would be like, stuck in one house for eternity. Like
- 31:40Speaker 3: I can't energetically wrap my head around that, right? And so,
- 31:45Speaker 3: and look, ask me 10 years the same question as this,
- 31:47Speaker 3: 10 years from now, I might have a different answer
- 31:49Speaker 3: for you. So this is based on my understanding now, okay?
- 31:52Speaker 3: So if you read about people that have had near-death experiences,
- 31:56Speaker 3: there's one book that I talk about a lot. It's
- 31:57Speaker 3: called Dying to Be Me. It was written by a
- 32:00Speaker 3: woman named Anita Morjani. So Anita Morjani had a near-death
- 32:04Speaker 3: experience And when she was on the other side, she
- 32:08Speaker 3: was able to be in like five different places all
- 32:11Speaker 3: at the same time. And they were nowhere near one another.
- 32:15Speaker 3: So she comes back. She's obviously alive. She wrote the book.
- 32:18Speaker 3: She comes back from the NDE and she's telling people,
- 32:22Speaker 3: I saw this, this, this, and this. And everything she
- 32:25Speaker 3: saw was accurate. She was literally in five different places
- 32:28Speaker 3: at once. Okay. And so I was like, well, that's interesting. Like,
- 32:33Speaker 3: you know, what does that show us about the ability
- 32:36Speaker 3: of the soul to travel? And in my understanding, time
- 32:40Speaker 3: and space are not linear on the other side, right?
- 32:44Speaker 3: So all of the language that we're using to describe
- 32:47Speaker 3: these experiences in this dimension, the language is limited by
- 32:53Speaker 3: our understanding of time and space because we live in
- 32:55Speaker 3: this realm of duality and all of that, right? So-
- 32:59Speaker 3: But I was like, well, if Anita Marjani had that experience,
- 33:02Speaker 3: then it's probably possible that different aspects of these souls
- 33:06Speaker 3: that I'm encountering could be other places as well. So
- 33:10Speaker 3: then the question is, why am I encountering this aspect
- 33:13Speaker 3: of the soul? And what I believe is happening is
- 33:16Speaker 3: that I'm encountering maybe a fragmented aspect of the soul,
- 33:20Speaker 3: a traumatized aspect of the soul that has unfinished business,
- 33:24Speaker 3: that story hasn't been told correctly, that still has pain.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And this aspect of the soul needs healing. It needs
- 33:32Speaker 3: a voice. It needs somebody to give it a voice
- 33:36Speaker 3: so it can reintegrate to the oneness or go somewhere else, right?
- 33:43Speaker 1: Is this what you would call what we would say
- 33:46Speaker 1: is like being stuck in limbo?
- 33:48Speaker 2: You know, you hear that people refer to.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I mean, right. Limbo, purgatory, so on and so forth.
- 33:55Speaker 3: I'd like to describe it as an aspect of the
- 34:00Speaker 3: soul trying to figure it out. That maybe, maybe it's limbo,
- 34:04Speaker 3: maybe it's purgatory, but needs a little bit of extra love.
- 34:08Speaker 3: And so my job is, as a medium is to
- 34:11Speaker 3: sit with that part and say, what is going on?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Why are you here? What happened to you? Why can't
- 34:17Speaker 3: you move on? Why are you still stuck here? And
- 34:21Speaker 3: when I say stuck here, you know, some people will
- 34:24Speaker 3: say that these are like earthbound spirits. Earthbound to me
- 34:29Speaker 3: is the language of that is a little bit tricky
- 34:31Speaker 3: because I think that when we pass away, our energy
- 34:35Speaker 3: shifts to a different space. It vibrates.
- 34:37Speaker 4: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 34:40Speaker 4: for it?
- 34:41Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 34:43Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 34:46Speaker 4: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 34:48Speaker 6: It's Dune ADL.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Where?
- 34:52Speaker 6: There's an accent on the e do you mean yes
- 34:57Speaker 6: i got it on done.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Deal cars lift please you're going past kimaj oh kimmage
- 35:02Speaker 5: no done deal cars you couldn't possibly go anywhere.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Else differently so there are aspects of souls that are
- 35:10Speaker 3: like really impressed upon earthly things that like still want
- 35:14Speaker 3: things that are here they're attached right um And if
- 35:19Speaker 3: we look at like, there's something that people practice now,
- 35:24Speaker 3: it's like in healing and psychology and stuff, it's called
- 35:26Speaker 3: parts integration. So like people will go to a session
- 35:29Speaker 3: with a healer or a psychologist, and they'll try to
- 35:32Speaker 3: find this aspect of themselves that fragmented off from a trauma.
- 35:37Speaker 3: And once you can find it and what age it happens,
- 35:40Speaker 3: you can see it and you can reintegrate it. It's
- 35:43Speaker 3: like the same thing with like me working with spirits,
- 35:45Speaker 3: I think, right? I'm saying I think because this is
- 35:48Speaker 3: just an idea that I have. That's what it feels like. But,
- 35:53Speaker 3: you know, people always ask me, like, what can you
- 35:55Speaker 3: do in this dimension and in this realm to make
- 35:59Speaker 3: your transition to the afterlife easier? Like, what can you do, right?
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, good question.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Uh, my, my answer is, um, you know, if, if
- 36:11Speaker 3: we really look at the, the role that forgiveness plays in,
- 36:15Speaker 3: in life, uh, not only forgiving other people, but forgiving ourselves,
- 36:19Speaker 3: if we can forgive ourselves, which is even harder a
- 36:21Speaker 3: lot of times than forgiving other people. Uh, I think
- 36:25Speaker 3: that that makes it easier because we're not, we won't be,
- 36:28Speaker 3: we won't have these fragmented pieces that have unresolved issues
- 36:32Speaker 3: and business and stuff like that, but I don't know. Yeah,
- 36:36Speaker 3: ask me in 10 years. I might have a different
- 36:38Speaker 3: answer for you. That's where I'm at now.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I get it. It sounds like you're always learning. So
- 36:43Speaker 2: what have you learned about life after death?
- 36:45Speaker 1: You mentioned a little bit of stuff, but that people
- 36:48Speaker 1: might be interested to know.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Well, you don't die. So death is not real. We're
- 36:55Speaker 3: not dead. We're just in a different space. I still
- 36:59Speaker 3: feel like we have healing to do. We have growth.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We help other people from the other space, the other realm.
- 37:05Speaker 3: I can't tell you the number of times I've had
- 37:08Speaker 3: spirits come through and say, hey, tell my family that
- 37:11Speaker 3: my job on the other side is to help people
- 37:14Speaker 3: who have died from drug overdoses come through or to
- 37:17Speaker 3: find peace. Or to find their way. And a lot
- 37:20Speaker 3: of times it's people that have died from drug overdoses
- 37:22Speaker 3: that are then helping people that have also died the
- 37:25Speaker 3: same way find their way. And they're also helping people
- 37:28Speaker 3: in the living suffering from the same, you know, addiction,
- 37:31Speaker 3: affliction issue. And so it's death isn't real. It's you
- 37:37Speaker 3: just are going to a different space and it continues on.
- 37:41Speaker 2: So this is a personal question, I guess.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I am curious if you get the feeling that there
- 37:46Speaker 1: is any suffering there. So like when somebody dies, I
- 37:49Speaker 1: feel like as a human, you go through so much
- 37:52Speaker 1: suffering and that trauma and pain can stay with you
- 37:54Speaker 1: for the rest of your life, right? I'm curious if
- 37:57Speaker 1: you have found or you have any thoughts on if
- 38:00Speaker 1: there is feelings of like that on the other side,
- 38:03Speaker 1: because I would assume they're suffering that they can't be
- 38:05Speaker 1: with their loved ones or they can't explain that they're
- 38:08Speaker 1: okay or whatever it is.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Yeah, no, like I was saying, I experience, you know,
- 38:13Speaker 3: especially in the paranormal investigations where I'm experiencing these parts
- 38:18Speaker 3: of the soul that still have not gotten out of
- 38:23Speaker 3: the loop of anger or sadness or betrayal. But again,
- 38:28Speaker 3: and this is where I say, like, I'm still learning.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I don't think the entirety of the soul is going
- 38:35Speaker 3: through that. I don't. There's a fragment. There's an aspect.
- 38:38Speaker 3: And also, you know, when people have disabilities in this dimension,
- 38:44Speaker 3: that goes away. Like I'll see people that couldn't walk
- 38:48Speaker 3: when they were alive, but they're running. They'll show me
- 38:50Speaker 3: I'm running through the field on the other side because
- 38:53Speaker 3: they want their family to know they can run, they
- 38:55Speaker 3: can walk, they can move. So these physical ailments that
- 38:59Speaker 3: we experience here do not carry over into the afterlife
- 39:02Speaker 3: because you don't have a body like you have here, right? Right.
- 39:06Speaker 3: So that's different. Yeah. Okay.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Has the spirit ever come to you and out of
- 39:12Speaker 1: nowhere and sort of bothered you enough to be like
- 39:14Speaker 1: I need you to find this person I need you
- 39:16Speaker 1: to contact them.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Good question. The answer is yes I have felt spirit
- 39:21Speaker 3: saying that to me, but I will tell you, I
- 39:24Speaker 3: have pretty good boundaries in that sense I'm not the
- 39:26Speaker 3: type of medium that approaches people that I don't know.
- 39:30Speaker 3: without their permission to give them a reading. I think
- 39:33Speaker 3: that that is crossing a boundary. I very much ask people,
- 39:37Speaker 3: can I share with you what I am seeing? Because
- 39:43Speaker 3: You know, we see some shows where like the medium
- 39:45Speaker 3: is walking up to somebody on the street and saying, hey,
- 39:47Speaker 3: I know you don't know me, but your dad's here. Hi.
- 39:50Speaker 3: You know, it's like, I don't do that. That's not
- 39:53Speaker 3: how I operate because. It's important to remember that people
- 39:59Speaker 3: have trauma, even with people on the other side. What
- 40:03Speaker 3: if I'm re-traumatizing somebody? What if I'm triggering them? What
- 40:06Speaker 3: if they're super religious and then they think that whatever
- 40:09Speaker 3: I'm seeing is actually demonic and not the soul of
- 40:14Speaker 3: their loved one? Then they're walking away thinking a demon's
- 40:16Speaker 3: following them, they might be traumatized, and then I'm leaving.
- 40:21Speaker 3: You know, and so I don't operate that way. Although
- 40:24Speaker 3: I'll say I know mediums that do and I know
- 40:27Speaker 3: people who receive it well. It's personal preference. But I
- 40:31Speaker 3: try to be very mindful of all of those factors
- 40:34Speaker 3: and I try to be very respectful of other people
- 40:37Speaker 3: and their emotions.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Have you ever been scared by your own powers or abilities,
- 40:42Speaker 1: whatever you call it?
- 40:42Speaker 2: What do you call it?
- 40:44Speaker 3: I mean, intuition, abilities, ability to connect. Yeah, well, intuition, mediumship. Scared. Like,
- 40:52Speaker 3: what do you mean by what I've seen and then
- 40:54Speaker 3: it's happened?
- 40:55Speaker 1: Yeah, by what you've seen, by what you've felt, by
- 40:58Speaker 1: what you felt obligated to tell someone or not tell someone.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I mean, can it be scary?
- 41:04Speaker 3: Yes, it can be scary. One thing I don't like
- 41:07Speaker 3: is when I can see when somebody's going to die.
- 41:11Speaker 3: I really don't like that. And I'll tell you a story.
- 41:16Speaker 3: This happened in... I think it was 2011. So this
- 41:19Speaker 3: is going back some time. Um, somebody had asked me
- 41:23Speaker 3: for a reading and at the time it wasn't like
- 41:26Speaker 3: a one-on-one. He just said, I would love a reading.
- 41:28Speaker 3: I said, fine, I'll go home. I'll sit down. I'll
- 41:30Speaker 3: tap into what I'm experiencing. I'll send you what I
- 41:33Speaker 3: got in an email. Then you can read it. If
- 41:35Speaker 3: you have any questions, let me know. And in the reading, uh,
- 41:40Speaker 3: I was seeing he was going to have a heart
- 41:42Speaker 3: attack and I was seeing that it was going to
- 41:45Speaker 3: be around Christmas and that he needed to have his
- 41:48Speaker 3: heart looked at. And I was like, great, how do
- 41:50Speaker 3: I tell this person what I just saw? Like, this
- 41:54Speaker 3: is really tricky because I'm not a doctor. I don't diagnose.
- 41:57Speaker 3: So then there's that piece. Then you don't want to
- 41:59Speaker 3: scare somebody and say something that's like really going to
- 42:03Speaker 3: freak them out. And so what I said was, look,
- 42:07Speaker 3: I'm not trying to scare you, but I feel like
- 42:09Speaker 3: you really need to have your heart looked at as
- 42:11Speaker 3: soon as possible. Like, again, not trying to scare you,
- 42:14Speaker 3: but I really, really think you should get your heart
- 42:15Speaker 3: looked at. He died on Christmas day, literally on Christmas
- 42:20Speaker 3: day of that year. And it was for me really,
- 42:26Speaker 3: really difficult because I felt like when I saw it,
- 42:31Speaker 3: maybe I didn't say enough. Maybe I didn't push it
- 42:34Speaker 3: enough enough. all of the things like the, and then
- 42:39Speaker 3: being scared of like, how did I see that? Like,
- 42:40Speaker 3: I don't want to see those things if I can't
- 42:42Speaker 3: do anything to help somebody. Like the whole thing was
- 42:44Speaker 3: really hard.
- 42:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I was going to ask you, do you think that
- 42:48Speaker 1: you telling them could change the future for them?
- 42:50Speaker 2: Or do you think at that point it's too late?
- 42:53Speaker 3: It's, I think it's hard to say, right? Like, it's like,
- 42:56Speaker 3: some things you can't change. I mean, it could be
- 42:59Speaker 3: that he could have gotten his heart looked at and
- 43:01Speaker 3: it wouldn't have changed anything. I have no idea. Right.
- 43:04Speaker 3: But that's one of the things that I find like challenging.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And I don't like receiving that information. At least then
- 43:13Speaker 3: I really didn't. I think now I'm a little bit
- 43:16Speaker 3: further on in my career or in my work to,
- 43:21Speaker 3: I think, maybe sit with that in a different way.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Because also it's like, sure, maybe if I see something
- 43:28Speaker 3: like that now, it's an opportunity to spend more time
- 43:30Speaker 3: with that person or to show up differently, you know,
- 43:34Speaker 3: but it's tough. That can be really tough. Yeah.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Has anyone ever stalked you because they want to reach
- 43:42Speaker 1: their loved ones so much that they're like not leaving
- 43:46Speaker 1: you alone about, please, can you contact this person?
- 43:48Speaker 2: Or please, can you do a reading with me?
- 43:51Speaker 3: I mean, stalking is a strong word in that sense.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Not really. Have I had stalkers since I've been on TV? Like,
- 43:59Speaker 3: I mean, look, not, not extreme stalking. I've had some
- 44:02Speaker 3: weird things happen. And it really, it's usually people that
- 44:07Speaker 3: aren't even interested necessarily in my ability. It's for some
- 44:10Speaker 3: other reason, you know?
- 44:13Speaker 2: Cause they're attracted to you or something.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Whatever. Right. It like goes with the territory of being
- 44:18Speaker 3: in the public like that. So I just, you know, yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure you've had that too, right?
- 44:24Speaker 2: I mean, well, I think what's interesting is that people
- 44:26Speaker 2: think they know you, right. And they just don't.
- 44:28Speaker 1: And so they associate with, you know, they, they, don't
- 44:32Speaker 1: really have boundaries because they they act like your friends
- 44:35Speaker 1: already and that can be too much.
- 44:37Speaker 3: It's so weird it's so weird like people like come
- 44:40Speaker 3: up to me and they're like oh hey I saw
- 44:42Speaker 3: this this and this I'm like how do you know
- 44:44Speaker 3: that oh I follow you on Instagram like they're following
- 44:47Speaker 3: your Instagram so intensely yeah it's like actually really it's
- 44:51Speaker 3: just such a weird time we live in right it's
- 44:53Speaker 3: just so.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Weird no it is weird there's like no privacy for
- 44:56Speaker 1: sure um So I know one of your dreams is
- 44:58Speaker 1: to have an art show displaying spirits that you've encountered
- 45:01Speaker 1: in haunted houses or just all through.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Your life, right? Where are you in that level of
- 45:06Speaker 2: your dream?
- 45:07Speaker 3: Oh, well, I mean, look, I'm at the beginning of that, right?
- 45:10Speaker 3: I've been creating spirit art. I call it spirit art
- 45:13Speaker 3: because I don't really know what to call it. Let's
- 45:15Speaker 3: call it channeled art. Since 2009, I think that's when
- 45:19Speaker 3: I really started doing it.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 45:22Speaker 3: And I kind of stepped away from it for a bit.
- 45:24Speaker 3: And then I came back to it. And what I
- 45:27Speaker 3: do most of the time is I draw people's spirit guides.
- 45:30Speaker 3: So I believe we all have spirit guides around us.
- 45:34Speaker 3: We all have spirit guides, at least one.
- 45:36Speaker 2: What's a spirit guide?
- 45:37Speaker 3: Yes, a spirit guide is a spirit on the other
- 45:40Speaker 3: side that is watching out for us. And it doesn't
- 45:42Speaker 3: have to be a family member. It can be somebody
- 45:44Speaker 3: that lived a really long time ago, somebody that follows
- 45:49Speaker 3: us throughout life in a good way. They don't give
- 45:51Speaker 3: us all the answers. I believe that we're here in school.
- 45:54Speaker 3: We come in with lessons to learn, with soul contracts,
- 45:58Speaker 3: for lack of a better term. but we all have
- 46:01Speaker 3: guides and we have different guides. We, I think we
- 46:04Speaker 3: have at least one or two that follow us throughout
- 46:06Speaker 3: our lifetimes. Like they're always there. And then we have
- 46:08Speaker 3: different guides that come in depending on what we're going through. Right.
- 46:12Speaker 3: So I've discovered that I have the ability to draw
- 46:16Speaker 3: people's guides and then the guides will give a message
- 46:18Speaker 3: to the person and the person that's receiving the message.
- 46:20Speaker 3: It makes the message make sense to them, you know?
- 46:23Speaker 3: And I really, really love doing that because, um, You know,
- 46:28Speaker 3: it's nice to know that we have somebody with us.
- 46:30Speaker 3: It's nice to know that we have somebody watching out
- 46:33Speaker 3: for us.
- 46:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 3: And look, I open it up to, like, people believe
- 46:38Speaker 3: in all sorts of things on the other side. I'm
- 46:40Speaker 3: open to all of it. Aliens, humans, whatever. You know,
- 46:43Speaker 3: it's like all energy that's over there. So I have
- 46:47Speaker 3: a friend who's like, please draw my guide. And as
- 46:49Speaker 3: I was drawing the guide, I'm like, oh, my God,
- 46:51Speaker 3: this is an alien. Like, I've never drawn. This is
- 46:53Speaker 3: so weird. But she is super connected to aliens. So
- 46:57Speaker 3: it made sense. So, yeah, I mean, it's it's I
- 47:01Speaker 3: really one day would love to just like have a
- 47:04Speaker 3: spot where I just like hang out and draw spirits
- 47:07Speaker 3: all day. It sounds awesome. Right.
- 47:09Speaker 2: That does sound awesome.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Well, I guess I would be remiss and like having
- 47:12Speaker 1: this time with you and not asking if I have
- 47:14Speaker 1: a spirit guide.
- 47:16Speaker 3: Of course you have a spirit guide. I know I
- 47:18Speaker 3: want to draw your spirit guide. Hey, how about I'll like,
- 47:20Speaker 3: I will, I will draw your spirit guide and send
- 47:23Speaker 3: it to you if you want.
- 47:24Speaker 2: That's sweet.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean, but when you're talking to people like me, like,
- 47:28Speaker 1: is there something that you see in any conversation that
- 47:31Speaker 1: you're having or people or, you know, things like that?
- 47:35Speaker 3: Yeah, sure. Like, again, like if I'm turning the radio up,
- 47:39Speaker 3: I can turn it up and I can tap in
- 47:41Speaker 3: and see what happens. I can turn it down. Yeah.
- 47:44Speaker 3: So I could turn it up and tap in.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:48Speaker 2: So I know you have these live events coming up
- 47:50Speaker 2: in December.
- 47:51Speaker 1: You're going to be in Florida. Where else are you
- 47:53Speaker 1: going to tell me exactly where you're going to be?
- 47:55Speaker 3: Okay. So I am, well, I'm in Richmond right now.
- 47:58Speaker 3: I'll be at Virginia beach. I'm going to be in
- 48:01Speaker 3: New Brunswick, New Jersey on the third bridge work, Connecticut
- 48:04Speaker 3: on the fifth. Uh, then I do an Ohio run.
- 48:07Speaker 3: I have, well, I have Omaha, then I have, uh, Toledo, Dayton, uh,
- 48:12Speaker 3: Liberty township, Columbus. Um, and then I'm going to be
- 48:16Speaker 3: in Florida in December. So I'll be in port Charlotte.
- 48:19Speaker 3: I'll be in Naples, Tampa and Orlando. And all of my, um,
- 48:23Speaker 3: Dates are posted on my website, CindyKaza.com.
- 48:27Speaker 1: And can people request to do private readings with you
- 48:30Speaker 1: as well?
- 48:32Speaker 3: I don't do privates right now only because my time
- 48:34Speaker 3: is limited because of my travel schedule and filming schedule.
- 48:38Speaker 3: But I can recommend one of the best mediums I know.
- 48:41Speaker 3: His name is Anthony Marocca. He lives in Jersey. He
- 48:44Speaker 3: does a ton of private readings. He's so good. So
- 48:47Speaker 3: check him out. I always refer people to him. He's spectacular.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Okay. Spell his last name.
- 48:53Speaker 3: M-R-O-C-K-A. Okay.
- 48:57Speaker 1: And I guess that's really it. We wish you the
- 49:01Speaker 1: best of luck. I'm so excited for all the stuff
- 49:04Speaker 1: you're doing. People can watch you on the Dead Files.
- 49:07Speaker 1: That's on the Travel Channel. And also you can get
- 49:10Speaker 1: it streaming on a number of different sites, I guess.
- 49:14Speaker 2: And how many more? So you've been in three episodes.
- 49:16Speaker 2: How many more? Do you have the whole season that
- 49:18Speaker 2: you're doing?
- 49:19Speaker 3: So actually... now that I think about it, I've been
- 49:21Speaker 3: in four, but the first one was tagged on to
- 49:23Speaker 3: the end of, so I replaced Amy Allen. The first
- 49:27Speaker 3: one is tagged on to the end of her five.
- 49:31Speaker 3: So it's season 15. It starts at episode six and
- 49:34Speaker 3: then it goes to 13. So I have what, six more,
- 49:39Speaker 3: is that right? Okay.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Okay, awesome. And then how does that work? And then
- 49:43Speaker 2: how does that work?
- 49:44Speaker 1: You see if they'll bring you back for another season or,
- 49:47Speaker 1: I mean, do you love doing this?
- 49:49Speaker 3: I love it, yeah. It's tricky right now because, you know,
- 49:52Speaker 3: the network, there's the WarnerBot discovery, there's a huge merger.
- 49:56Speaker 3: A lot of stuff is changing. We're hoping it comes back.
- 49:58Speaker 3: So please watch the show so it can come back.
- 50:01Speaker 3: But they have to air all of the episodes first.
- 50:03Speaker 3: And then after they air, then we find out if
- 50:05Speaker 3: we get renewed. So please watch Dead Files. Tune in
- 50:09Speaker 3: live on Travel Channel Thursdays at 10. p.m eastern standard time.
- 50:13Speaker 1: And i will say as a new watcher it is
- 50:15Speaker 1: really good and now that you've confirmed that it's not
- 50:18Speaker 1: scripted and you're doing real sort of readings while you're
- 50:22Speaker 1: there and feeling your intuition that makes it even more
- 50:24Speaker 1: interesting and i will continue to watch so thank you thank.
- 50:27Speaker 3: You so much yeah thanks for.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Having me i wish you the best of luck and
- 50:31Speaker 1: i can't wait to see what you do in the future.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Thank you so.

- 51:16Speaker 4: for it?
- 51:17Speaker 5: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 51:19Speaker 5: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 51:22Speaker 4: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 51:24Speaker 6: It's Dunaidial.
- 51:26Speaker 4: Where?
- 51:28Speaker 5: Dunaidial.
- 51:29Speaker 6: There's an accent on the E.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Do you mean.
- 51:33Speaker 6: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Lift? Please.
- 51:35Speaker 4: Are you going past Kimmage?
- 51:37Speaker 6: Oh, Kimmage.
- 51:38Speaker 5: No.
- 51:40Speaker 6: Dundale Cars.
- 51:41Speaker 7: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
