- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, guys, to another Radio Archive Hour from the Phil
- 0:02Speaker 1: Henry Radio Hall of Fame show on our website, philhenryshow.com.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We take you to April 2003, Bobby Dooley, and the
- 0:09Speaker 1: rest of us were talking about the Jessica Lynch story.
- 0:12Speaker 1: This was a young soldier in Iraq. She was driving
- 0:15Speaker 1: in a convoy and somehow got lost or was otherwise
- 0:21Speaker 1: attacked by enemy forces, but she was very badly injured
- 0:26Speaker 1: and was considered to be very heroic in her actions
- 0:28Speaker 1: and trying to steer her comrades back to safety. She
- 0:32Speaker 1: wound up in the hospital, and everybody was really very,
- 0:34Speaker 1: very impressed with her and praying for her well-being. Everybody
- 0:38Speaker 1: except Bobby Dooley. Bobby considered all the housewives of America
- 0:42Speaker 1: to be the real heroes, and they're not getting talked
- 0:44Speaker 1: about enough. And, for instance, Bobby picked a bad pear
- 0:49Speaker 1: out of an old lady's bag at the grocery store.
- 0:52Speaker 1: This lady could have gotten diarrhea from it. And she
- 0:55Speaker 1: thought that was a heroic thing. Let's just listen to
- 0:57Speaker 1: Bobby Dooley. once again bitching and moaning that the world
- 1:00Speaker 1: doesn't revolve around her. Jessica Lynch is a private in
- 1:04Speaker 1: the United States Army. As you know, she was rescued
- 1:06Speaker 1: on Tuesday. It's a compelling story from so many different standpoints.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Bobbi Dooley is with us. She's with the Western Estates
- 1:11Speaker 1: Homeowners Association and Parent Teacher Organization as president of both. And, Bobbi,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you represent a group called the Silent Heroes. What are
- 1:21Speaker 1: the Silent Heroes, and what is that about?
- 1:23Speaker 2: First of all, Phil, thank you for having us on
- 1:26Speaker 2: your program.
- 1:27Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Silent Heroes was an idea that I had after following
- 1:32Speaker 2: the Jessica Lynch story. Quite a bit of newsprint, quite
- 1:36Speaker 2: a bit of airtime was devoted to this woman's story.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And I was sitting with my husband, Steve, as a
- 1:43Speaker 2: matter of fact, and I said, I wonder why they're
- 1:46Speaker 2: giving this woman so much airtime when, in point of fact,
- 1:50Speaker 2: there are so many of us who do so many
- 1:53Speaker 2: great things and no one pays any attention to us.
- 1:57Speaker 2: We do so many things for our country, and yet,
- 2:00Speaker 2: day and night, since Tuesday, we've really been just assaulted,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I think is the best word, Phil, for want of
- 2:08Speaker 2: a better word, with these stories about Jessica Lynch. And
- 2:12Speaker 2: I think that there probably is a little bit too
- 2:14Speaker 2: much attention being paid to her and not enough attention
- 2:17Speaker 2: being paid to what I call America's silent heroes, the housewives.
- 2:23Speaker 2: and the people out there in America.
- 2:25Speaker 1: All right, but you've got to admit this is an
- 2:27Speaker 1: important story. This is a young lady who fought with
- 2:29Speaker 1: her weapon. She was stabbed. She was taken prisoner. She
- 2:33Speaker 1: was rescued.
- 2:34Speaker 3: This is an important story.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It was an important story on Tuesday. It was interesting
- 2:40Speaker 2: on Wednesday. By Thursday, I think they really needed to
- 2:44Speaker 2: move on because they're really embarrassing themselves, people in the
- 2:48Speaker 2: news media, by just beating this story into the ground.
- 2:51Speaker 2: My God, you think She was the only woman that
- 2:54Speaker 2: ever went through something like this. And I think it's
- 2:57Speaker 2: a little bit insulting. I personally take it just a
- 3:00Speaker 2: little personally on behalf of a lot of women in
- 3:03Speaker 2: America who've done so many great things.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Nobody's trying to denigrate what you or other women do.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's just that this woman.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Again, you keep wanting to bring her up.
- 3:16Speaker 1: No, but it's just that this woman, Jessica Lynch, went
- 3:18Speaker 1: through an extraordinary experience, is what I would say. It's
- 3:23Speaker 1: an extraordinary experience to go through what she went through
- 3:26Speaker 1: to survive it. And it's symbolic, I think, of America's determination,
- 3:32Speaker 1: even in the face of so much, to go on
- 3:35Speaker 1: with what it feels it has to do.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Okay, are you done yet, or do you want me
- 3:40Speaker 2: to call back?
- 3:42Speaker 3: I don't appreciate your sarcasm.
- 3:44Speaker 2: No, I'm not being sarcastic, Phil, but listening to you
- 3:48Speaker 2: and listening to other members of the media... I mean,
- 3:51Speaker 2: it's almost as if, and I don't mean disrespect, but
- 3:53Speaker 2: it's almost as if you want her to bear your
- 3:56Speaker 2: children or you want to have sex with her.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Oh, come on, Ms.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Dooley, we're compelled by this lady's story.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Well, then quit fawning over her. It is really insulting
- 4:06Speaker 2: to so many women out there who do so much
- 4:10Speaker 2: for their country. And we didn't go over to Iraq.
- 4:14Speaker 2: to prove that we were the son that our daddy
- 4:16Speaker 2: never had.
- 4:17Speaker 3: All right, now that's going over the line.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:20Speaker 3: That's going over the line. This lady was in the military.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yes, she was in the military, and she wanted to
- 4:27Speaker 2: be out there where the boys were. And a lot
- 4:30Speaker 2: of things that I think are very interesting, very curious,
- 4:33Speaker 2: I'm not commenting on them. I'm just saying that I
- 4:38Speaker 2: think you people in the media need to get done
- 4:41Speaker 2: with it. Let's move on. The city of Baghdad needs
- 4:45Speaker 2: to be taken. Our guys are in harm's way, and
- 4:49Speaker 2: you have devoted day after day, week after week, to
- 4:53Speaker 2: this girl who was laying in a hospital bed when
- 4:56Speaker 2: they found her, comfortable, relaxing.
- 5:00Speaker 3: She was being slapped around by Saddam Fedayeen, according to
- 5:03Speaker 3: at least one witness.
- 5:05Speaker 2: According to one witness. Let's underline that, and I'd like
- 5:08Speaker 2: the record to show that. One witness. She supposedly shot
- 5:11Speaker 2: some people. That's very interesting, Phil. How do we know?
- 5:15Speaker 2: She told us. But I'm not going to cast suspicion
- 5:20Speaker 2: on her. I'm simply going to say something that needs
- 5:22Speaker 2: to be said. Can we move on? Can we talk
- 5:26Speaker 2: about something, anything else, other than this woman who needs
- 5:32Speaker 2: a driving lesson, in my opinion? made a wrong turn
- 5:34Speaker 2: like a lot of women, insults our reputation as drivers,
- 5:38Speaker 2: and drives right smack dab into a group of Iraqis
- 5:42Speaker 2: having lunch. And I think that that really needs to
- 5:45Speaker 2: be pointed out.
- 5:46Speaker 3: All right, we're talking with Bobbi Dooley.
- 5:48Speaker 1: She's the president of the Western Estates Homeowners Association and
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Western Estates PTO about Jessica Lynch. You are insulting
- 5:57Speaker 1: this woman. She lies in a hospital bed right now,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and you're insulting her.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Do you hear yourself? What? You can't
- 6:05Speaker 2: stop talking about her. Oh, my Christ. When will you
- 6:11Speaker 2: people in the media give this story a rest? And
- 6:15Speaker 2: I think there are millions out there who feel exactly
- 6:18Speaker 2: the same way I do. All right.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Let me ask you this, Ms.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Dooley.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Are you patriotic?
- 6:22Speaker 2: How dare you ask me a loaded question like that?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Do you love your country?
- 6:26Speaker 2: You know very well I do. How dare you ask
- 6:29Speaker 2: me that?
- 6:29Speaker 3: Well, here's a woman that is giving her life... for
- 6:32Speaker 3: her country.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I'm concerned about taking Baghdad. I'd like to see Saddam
- 6:36Speaker 2: Hussein taken out. I'd like to see our guys at
- 6:38Speaker 2: the airport talked about. I'd like to see our guys
- 6:41Speaker 2: there in the north of Iraq talked about. I don't
- 6:43Speaker 2: want to keep hearing about a girl who took a
- 6:47Speaker 2: left turn, drove into the middle of God knows where,
- 6:50Speaker 2: got a bunch of guys killed.
- 6:51Speaker 3: All right, that is enough. To say she got a
- 6:56Speaker 3: bunch of guys killed, how do you know she was
- 6:58Speaker 3: even driving?
- 7:00Speaker 2: Phil, Why don't you just get her phone number, call
- 7:04Speaker 2: her up, and say, Hi, would you like to use
- 7:07Speaker 2: my face as a bicycle seat? And I'm sorry.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 7:11Speaker 2: No, I'm really sorry to say that. I really am.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Oh, my God, that you would go there with this.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I am sorry, Phil, but I have to say something
- 7:21Speaker 2: that will shock you and other members of the media
- 7:23Speaker 2: back to your senses. There are... I think it was.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I'm stunned.
- 7:29Speaker 2: There are other stories, Phil, and you're a sucker. You
- 7:32Speaker 2: and members of the media are a sucker.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Tell me the other stories.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I can tell you many stories, Phil. Many housewives who
- 7:39Speaker 2: have gone home and done wonderful things. I can tell
- 7:42Speaker 2: you the other day a story about myself. I was
- 7:46Speaker 2: at Barley's grocery store. I was standing there getting some produce.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I saw an elderly woman. She was picking through the pears.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And it's something just as simple as this, Phil. It's
- 7:57Speaker 2: as simple as noticing that an elderly woman is taking
- 8:00Speaker 2: a discolored and bruised pair and putting it into her bag,
- 8:05Speaker 2: something that could get her sickness, something that could hurt her.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Was there anyone there to help her or protect her?
- 8:12Speaker 2: I walked over to her and I said, Dear, you
- 8:15Speaker 2: don't want this. This is bad. And she was elderly.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I saw she had a hearing device. And I said,
- 8:23Speaker 2: It can give you diarrhea because when you're old, You
- 8:27Speaker 2: can get dehydrated very, very quickly. And I said it.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I said, it'll give you diarrhea, dear. And she looked
- 8:33Speaker 2: at me and she said, thank you so much. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: I said, you're welcome. And I helped her. But instead,
- 8:39Speaker 2: you want to fawn over Jessica Lynch and her Mr.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Toad's Wild Ride. Instead, I went into a market and
- 8:48Speaker 2: I saw an elderly woman and I said, no, dear,
- 8:51Speaker 2: it'll give you diarrhea. Phil, the silent heroes work every day,
- 8:57Speaker 2: not for two days in Iran or Iraq or in
- 9:00Speaker 2: Afghanistan or wherever she was. I don't even know where
- 9:02Speaker 2: it is.
- 9:04Speaker 3: It's Iraq.
- 9:05Speaker 2: No, where was she arrested?
- 9:07Speaker 3: She wasn't arrested. She was in a firefight, and she
- 9:10Speaker 3: got taken prisoner in Iraq.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Well, I'd like to hear about the silent heroes.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You know, these are the things that bother me about
- 9:18Speaker 1: a lot of these people who say they're pro our
- 9:21Speaker 1: operation in Iraq. Bobby Dooley, Western Estates Homeowners Association, Western
- 9:26Speaker 1: Estates PTO, she says that Jessica Lynch, the young PFC
- 9:32Speaker 1: who was rescued, has been given enough coverage.
- 9:36Speaker 3: She's been given enough publicity.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's beginning to get tiring, and she'd like to hear
- 9:40Speaker 1: stories about the silent heroes, the millions of American housewives
- 9:45Speaker 1: who every day do their part to keep the country running.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I was particularly offended, and I've got to tell you,
- 9:52Speaker 1: when she made that comment about somehow the members of
- 9:54Speaker 1: the media want some romantic relationship with Jessica Lynch, some
- 9:58Speaker 1: intimate relationship, I was particularly offended.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Insulted by that.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And you might ask her when you get on the
- 10:04Speaker 1: phone with her during the break that if it's going
- 10:06Speaker 1: to go there, that I have.
- 10:07Speaker 3: No interest in speaking with her.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Jessica Lynch, in my opinion, is a young lady who
- 10:12Speaker 1: exemplifies a certain spirit of Thank God she was rescued.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I hope we can get the other guys and the
- 10:18Speaker 1: other woman that are now captive. And to say that,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you know, enough already with her. And why do we
- 10:24Speaker 1: hear about a woman who took a rotten pear out
- 10:26Speaker 1: of an old lady's hand?
- 10:27Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Phil Henry Show. The Phil Henry Show.
- 10:31Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Vagisil for the mind. And now more on the Phil
- 10:47Speaker 3: Henry Show.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Unbelievable, Phil. All right.
- 10:49Speaker 3: We're going to take some phone calls.
- 10:51Speaker 2: First of all, I have a question for you.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but let me also say that we're talking with
- 10:56Speaker 1: who you are, Bobby.
- 10:56Speaker 3: This is Miss Bobby Dooley.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 10:59Speaker 3: That's all right.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Bobby Dooley of the Western Estates Homeowners Association and PTO
- 11:02Speaker 1: about Jessica Lynch, the Army private taken captive during a
- 11:07Speaker 1: firefight after her maintenance battalion or maintenance convoy got lost.
- 11:13Speaker 1: and was captured, or captured by the Iraqis, then released
- 11:17Speaker 1: in a dairy rescue attempt by our commandos just the
- 11:20Speaker 1: other night, Tuesday night.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Bobby, what did you want to ask?
- 11:23Speaker 2: I'd like to ask you, do you suppose, and I
- 11:28Speaker 2: don't mean any disrespect, and I really want people to
- 11:31Speaker 2: listen to the words and not get clouded by the emotion.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Do you suppose that girl said, you know what, I
- 11:39Speaker 2: don't want to be here in Iraq. I want to
- 11:42Speaker 2: go back to America. Why didn't I just turn left
- 11:45Speaker 2: instead of right? Why didn't I just see what's over
- 11:48Speaker 2: that hill? It might be Iraqis. It may just go
- 11:52Speaker 2: back to an American unit. But if I go left
- 11:54Speaker 2: instead of right, and they are Iraqis, it's what they
- 11:58Speaker 2: used to call a million-dollar wound, Phil.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Oh, I see.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And let's get into a firefight where some of my
- 12:04Speaker 1: comrades are killed?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Phil, six of one, half a dozen of the other.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I am trying to.
- 12:08Speaker 3: No, it's not six of one, half a dozen of
- 12:10Speaker 3: the other. Is that what you're saying?
- 12:13Speaker 2: I'm saying some things that need to be said.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Use my face as a bicycle seat.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Phil, I said that I was sorry that I said that.
- 12:22Speaker 3: But you said it, and you can't take it back. Cheryl,
- 12:25Speaker 3: go ahead. You're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Miss Dooley, I don't know what you think this young girl,
- 12:30Speaker 4: that she asked for this. I don't see you saying
- 12:32Speaker 4: this about the young man. I suppose the young man
- 12:34Speaker 4: that threw the grenades into the tent, he wanted to
- 12:36Speaker 4: go home, too.
- 12:38Speaker 5: I mean, you are being absolutely.
- 12:39Speaker 2: You know, I think there was frustration there.
- 12:41Speaker 4: This young woman is an inspiration to women everywhere, that
- 12:44Speaker 4: you can make different life choices. You decided to become
- 12:47Speaker 4: a housewife. She decided to join the military and defend
- 12:50Speaker 4: the country. Do you think she's over in Iraq saying, oh,
- 12:54Speaker 4: my God, putting down the housewives of America? She's over
- 12:58Speaker 4: there defending our country.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Well, I think, Cheryl, that... You are actually.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Being so ridiculous, and the media is telling the story
- 13:06Speaker 4: that they need to.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I think, Cheryl, that no one has made any news
- 13:11Speaker 2: reports about what I did that day in Byerly's. No
- 13:15Speaker 2: one came up to me with a camera and said, oh,
- 13:17Speaker 2: my God, aren't you wonderful?
- 13:19Speaker 6: Do you need that?
- 13:20Speaker 4: A certification that you're doing a good job.
- 13:22Speaker 5: As a housewife?
- 13:23Speaker 4: If you know in your heart that you are, you
- 13:25Speaker 4: don't need anybody there with a camera.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, then Jessica Lynch should know in her heart. She
- 13:30Speaker 2: didn't ask to be ambushed.
- 13:33Speaker 4: You said she was lying comfortably in a hospital. Have
- 13:36Speaker 4: you seen the pictures of the hospital?
- 13:38Speaker 3: It was dirt. Then there was a witness who said
- 13:40Speaker 3: she was being smacked around.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You know, you're just being, I don't know if you're jealous.
- 13:44Speaker 4: You're not, absolutely not for women's rights.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 13:48Speaker 4: You're putting us back into the dark ages.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Excuse me, jealous. I have a 6,500 square foot home. Okay. Okay.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I have a husband with a wildly successful landscaping business.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Then why are you.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Putting down this 19-year-old young lady that decided to put
- 14:03Speaker 4: her life on the line for her country?
- 14:05Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 14:06Speaker 5: I don't understand that.
- 14:07Speaker 7: What is your problem?
- 14:09Speaker 2: First of all, do I have to debate you too, Mr. Henry?
- 14:11Speaker 3: You're not debating, Cheryl. She's asking you a question.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I have no problem, Cheryl. I think you do. No,
- 14:17Speaker 2: I don't. I'm simply saying enough already with this girl's story.
- 14:21Speaker 2: My God, it's like a headache. I'm jealous of the
- 14:23Speaker 2: attention she's getting.
- 14:24Speaker 4: You're jealous of the attention she's getting. You want somebody
- 14:27Speaker 4: to follow you around and you're day in, day out.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Life with a camera watching you pick out pears for.
- 14:32Speaker 5: An old woman.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Good for you that you did that, but you don't need.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Somebody to tell you that.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I do good things every day. If you know that
- 14:39Speaker 4: you did a good thing, you don't need somebody to
- 14:41Speaker 4: tell you.
- 14:42Speaker 2: All right, you want me to be honest? I'll be
- 14:43Speaker 2: honest with you. I think this girl has better things
- 14:46Speaker 2: to do than trying to stick it to every housewife
- 14:49Speaker 2: of America. She is not.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Trying to stick it to.
- 14:53Speaker 4: How did you.
- 14:54Speaker 2: You know what?
- 14:55Speaker 4: The housewives are getting too much attention.
- 14:57Speaker 5: What about me?
- 14:59Speaker 4: Have you seen an interview where she said that?
- 15:02Speaker 5: Have you?
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 15:03Speaker 4: She's lying in a hospital.
- 15:05Speaker 6: A hospital lady.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Look, I haven't seen her face.
- 15:07Speaker 4: You're sitting at home in your comfortable 6,500-square-foot living room
- 15:12Speaker 4: ridiculing this young lady that she's over there putting her
- 15:15Speaker 4: life on the line, accusing her of wanting to take
- 15:18Speaker 4: an easy way out where she could have gotten killed.
- 15:21Speaker 4: You're accusing her.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Of running the.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Absolutely. You don't even know.
- 15:25Speaker 6: All the facts.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Look, I haven't seen her face, but I'll bet you
- 15:28Speaker 2: she's Asian. She's not Asian. Well, she can't drive. She
- 15:32Speaker 2: can't drive.
- 15:32Speaker 5: What would it matter?
- 15:33Speaker 4: She's an American.
- 15:36Speaker 5: She can be yellow, black, red. It doesn't matter.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You know something, Cheryl? I picked a pair out of
- 15:41Speaker 2: an old lady's bag that could have given her dysentery,
- 15:45Speaker 2: and now you think I guess it's okay for an
- 15:48Speaker 2: elderly woman to have cramping, to have gas?
- 15:51Speaker 4: No, what I don't think it's okay is for somebody
- 15:53Speaker 4: like you to sit on your high horse and feel
- 15:56Speaker 4: like you need to have some kind of celebrity because
- 16:00Speaker 4: you helped an old woman. Do you not think people
- 16:02Speaker 4: help people every day and don't need to be in
- 16:05Speaker 4: the spotlight?
- 16:05Speaker 2: So I saved this old bag's life, but that's not
- 16:07Speaker 2: good enough for you. I have to be out being glorious,
- 16:11Speaker 2: you know, with a gun and everything.
- 16:14Speaker 4: No, I'm not saying that.
- 16:15Speaker 8: But what I'm saying is you feel like you need
- 16:18Speaker 8: to do a good deed.
- 16:19Speaker 3: You know, Cheryl, you just referred to that woman as
- 16:22Speaker 3: an old bag, too.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I meant old woman.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Well, you said old bag. So what are you trying
- 16:28Speaker 1: to say now? Hey, I saved this old bag's life.
- 16:30Speaker 1: How come there isn't a TV camera in my face?
- 16:32Speaker 1: How come Jessica Lynch gets to have all the glory?
- 16:35Speaker 1: I mean, Cheryl made the point about jealousy. That's what
- 16:38Speaker 1: it sounds like to me.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Phil, I live in a gated community in Southern California.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I don't know too many women that have it better
- 16:44Speaker 2: than me. I guess if I forgot how to drive,
- 16:46Speaker 2: I'd get some credit.
- 16:47Speaker 4: We don't care where you live and what the size
- 16:49Speaker 4: of your square footage.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Of your house is.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Why do you have to throw that in our faces?
- 16:52Speaker 2: Excuse me. We have a Community of California.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Why is that so important to you?
- 16:57Speaker 2: Because we won a Community of California award. I don't
- 16:59Speaker 2: know where you live, all right? But I guess, Cheryl,
- 17:01Speaker 2: I have to forget how to drive to get some press.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Jesus. Cheryl, thank you for your call. You have to
- 17:08Speaker 3: forget how to drive to get some press.
- 17:10Speaker 2: That's right. I live in a 6,500-square-foot home. All right, Bobby. No,
- 17:17Speaker 2: I want to finish, Phil. We have the spa and
- 17:21Speaker 2: pool package. We got all of the upgrades. And that's
- 17:26Speaker 2: not faux granite. That's real granite. We have the upgrades
- 17:30Speaker 2: on the appliances. I drive a 2003 Escalade that has
- 17:34Speaker 2: the entire electronic package, including the running boards. My husband
- 17:39Speaker 2: has a wildly successful landscaping business. I thank God I
- 17:44Speaker 2: live in America, in other words. And I thank God
- 17:47Speaker 2: every day that I get to get out of my
- 17:50Speaker 2: bed and walk out onto our newly pebbled deck and
- 17:53Speaker 2: say to myself, oh God, I'm so happy to be alive.
- 17:57Speaker 2: And then I pick up my paper, and what do
- 17:59Speaker 2: I see? An Asian American wearing an American uniform who
- 18:05Speaker 2: doesn't know how to drive.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Look at this lady. This Jessica Lynch is not Asian-American.
- 18:13Speaker 3: She's American.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Well, is there something wrong with that?
- 18:15Speaker 3: There's nothing wrong with it. You're the one that keeps
- 18:18Speaker 3: saying that she's Asian because she couldn't drive. I don't
- 18:21Speaker 3: even know that she was driving. She wasn't even driving.
- 18:24Speaker 3: They were ambushed. They were in the 507th convoy and
- 18:26Speaker 3: they were ambushed.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I want to tell you something. Say what you want
- 18:29Speaker 1: about yourself. Say what you want about me. Say what
- 18:30Speaker 1: you want about any caller. Don't make fun of this
- 18:33Speaker 1: girl who is clinging to life. with a couple of
- 18:37Speaker 1: broken arms, a broken leg. She had stab wounds, for
- 18:40Speaker 1: God's sake. She shot a number of Iraqi soldiers to
- 18:45Speaker 1: save her life and to save the lives of her fellows.
- 18:49Speaker 3: You can at least give her that much credit.
- 18:51Speaker 2: I do not fail to track from any great thing
- 18:53Speaker 2: she did. I'm simply saying, can you stop already? Can
- 18:58Speaker 2: you stop? I heard about it on Tuesday. I heard
- 19:01Speaker 2: about it on Wednesday. I heard about it on Thursday.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Now today is Friday, sweet Christ. I've heard about it
- 19:08Speaker 2: every day.
- 19:10Speaker 3: This lady... Are you done?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Oh, here we go. Oh, God almighty, give it a rest.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Is that Mr. Dooley?
- 19:19Speaker 2: He just said to give it a rest.
- 19:20Speaker 3: All right, hold on.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Bobby Dooley, president of the Western Estates Homeowners Association and
- 19:25Speaker 1: the Western Estates Parent Teacher Organization on what she thinks
- 19:28Speaker 1: is the overexposure... of the Jessica Lynch story and that the, quote,
- 19:32Speaker 1: silent heroes, the housewives like her, don't get any press.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Phil Henry Show. Bobby Dooley with us from the.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Western States Homeowners and Parent Teacher Organization. We're talking about
- 19:41Speaker 1: Jessica Lynch. It's a compelling story for me. You say
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's overexposed and that housewives don't get enough exposure in
- 19:48Speaker 1: the great things that they do.
- 19:50Speaker 3: You are advocating a group called.
- 19:51Speaker 1: The Silent Heroes, which are America's housewives, and you indicated
- 19:54Speaker 1: to us that an example of that is the way
- 19:57Speaker 1: you took a rotten pear from an old woman the
- 19:59Speaker 1: other day who might have gotten dysentery.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Exactly, Phil. And these are things that we do. It's
- 20:05Speaker 2: something as simple as... I was very angry the other day.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I can give an example. I was extremely angry at
- 20:11Speaker 2: my son, Dylan, because he had not taken some cans
- 20:17Speaker 2: in from the street that I asked him to take in.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And I'm driving to the store, and I saw a
- 20:21Speaker 2: boy walking across the crosswalk. And he looked a lot
- 20:27Speaker 2: like my son. And it was in that instant that
- 20:30Speaker 2: I thought, you know what? I could press my foot
- 20:34Speaker 2: to the accelerator. I could hit that kid. And no
- 20:37Speaker 2: one would know because there was no one around. But
- 20:39Speaker 2: I didn't do it. I didn't do it. This is
- 20:43Speaker 2: what I mean about saving one life one day at
- 20:45Speaker 2: a time. Just by letting that boy live. It was
- 20:49Speaker 2: Dylan I was angry at, not that boy. Do you
- 20:52Speaker 2: see what I'm saying?
- 20:53Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying, but you're also saying that
- 20:55Speaker 1: this Jessica Lynch, what about her story?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Oh, my God, you're back with that. You're back with that.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I had it on me, and you're back on that. Look, Phil.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Because she's the one that's in the newspaper.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Phil, Jessica Lynch might have been a young lady who
- 21:12Speaker 2: needed some attention. Maybe she wanted to be on stage.
- 21:15Speaker 2: She wanted to be an actress.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Now, hear me out. How do you get attention? You
- 21:21Speaker 2: drive a truck into a pack of wild dirt monkeys.
- 21:24Speaker 2: That's how you get attention.
- 21:26Speaker 3: And the Iraqi soldiers are now wild dirt monkeys.
- 21:29Speaker 2: I don't give them respect. Oh, my God. Oh, look
- 21:32Speaker 2: at you. You don't think we should make fun of them.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I think wild dirt monkeys a little much, but, you know, whatever.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We are, you know, we are fighting them.
- 21:39Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686. Carol, go ahead. You're on the Phil Hendry Show.
- 21:43Speaker 2: I don't know what's wrong with this lady.
- 21:45Speaker 8: I think she's sick. She needs help. This is America.
- 21:50Speaker 7: A miracle.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Well, you know.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Your radio's turned up, dear. Turn it down, okay?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Carol, I'm a mother, and I was listening to my
- 22:05Speaker 2: sons talking to their girlfriends, and they were having lunch
- 22:08Speaker 2: at our house the other day and made the kids
- 22:09Speaker 2: some sandwiches. Okay? Are you with me, Carol? Yes. All right.
- 22:15Speaker 2: And I heard the two girls talking about Jessica Lynch
- 22:18Speaker 2: this and Jessica Lynch that, and there are times when
- 22:22Speaker 2: a parent has to act. And I walked in there,
- 22:25Speaker 2: and I slapped the sandwiches right out of their hands.
- 22:28Speaker 2: And I told them to get out.
- 22:30Speaker 7: Well, I think you're sick.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I'm sick. I'm being a mother to my two boys.
- 22:36Speaker 8: Listen, hey, you're not the only mother in the world. Listen,
- 22:40Speaker 8: I got six kids.
- 22:42Speaker 4: And I don't begrudge this girl one.
- 22:44Speaker 8: Bit what she got. She went through a lot. And
- 22:50Speaker 8: she's over there fighting for your freedom, lady.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Your freedom.
- 22:54Speaker 5: And my freedom.
- 22:56Speaker 2: But... I saved a young boy's life the other day.
- 22:59Speaker 8: You didn't save nobody's life. You were wanting to take
- 23:02Speaker 8: somebody's life and decided not to.
- 23:05Speaker 2: No, that's not true.
- 23:06Speaker 3: That's what you said.
- 23:08Speaker 2: You just said.
- 23:09Speaker 8: On radio that you could have speeded up and took
- 23:12Speaker 8: that child's life.
- 23:14Speaker 7: That's a sick comment.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I said that I had the instinct to run the
- 23:20Speaker 2: boy down, and I decided not to. Let's talk about you, though.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Six children. When have you ever put your legs down?
- 23:28Speaker 3: All right, this is the kind of thing that's unnecessary. Unnecessary.
- 23:32Speaker 2: She is sick.
- 23:34Speaker 3: She needs help.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Are you a silent hero or are you not? Because
- 23:38Speaker 2: I'm a silent hero.
- 23:39Speaker 8: I'm no hero, honey. I haven't done anything to save
- 23:44Speaker 8: anyone's life.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Well, then you should.
- 23:46Speaker 8: But just everyday living. That's what you're doing in everyday living.
- 23:52Speaker 2: That's what I do.
- 23:53Speaker 8: That girl went overseas to fight for our freedom so
- 23:57Speaker 8: we could be free here in the United States. I
- 24:02Speaker 8: can't imagine what about you. You're not willing to go
- 24:05Speaker 8: over there and fight.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Carol, I have a 6,500-square-foot home.
- 24:09Speaker 8: Hey, I don't care what you have, lady. You ain't
- 24:12Speaker 8: got no more than anybody else has got.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I drive an Escalade.
- 24:17Speaker 8: People like you are greedy and selfish, and you want
- 24:22Speaker 8: everything you can get. And people like you are going
- 24:24Speaker 8: to hell.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You know, if you and I were friends, the first
- 24:28Speaker 2: place I would take you would be for a latte.
- 24:31Speaker 2: And we'd sit down and talk.
- 24:33Speaker 8: Me and you could not be friends.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Why not?
- 24:35Speaker 8: Because you don't have no respect for women. You want
- 24:39Speaker 8: to take that lady's glory. And she don't even know
- 24:43Speaker 8: she's getting all this glory. She's in a hospital, probably
- 24:46Speaker 8: in a coma.
- 24:47Speaker 2: There you go again with it. Can I please get
- 24:49Speaker 2: away from it for three seconds? What?
- 24:52Speaker 8: Well, you shouldn't have brought it all up. You got
- 24:54Speaker 8: it on national radio.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Listen to you with the Jessica Lynch. Can you get
- 24:58Speaker 2: off of it? Let's talk about you. Where do you
- 25:01Speaker 2: like to vacation?
- 25:03Speaker 8: Hey, listen, I'm not the one to be talking about.
- 25:06Speaker 3: What are you talking about, all right? We're talking about
- 25:08Speaker 3: Jessica Lynch.
- 25:09Speaker 2: That's right.
- 25:10Speaker 8: There you go again.
- 25:10Speaker 2: There you go again. So why don't you put her
- 25:14Speaker 2: on tape? Jessica Lynch, Jessica Lynch, Jessica Lynch, Jessica Lynch.
- 25:17Speaker 2: She's jealous. That's all there is to it. She's jealous.
- 25:21Speaker 8: She's not getting the glory. If she'd go over there
- 25:24Speaker 8: and fight, maybe she'd get a little bit of glory.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, Carol. In life, acts of
- 25:29Speaker 2: kindness come in all sizes. The other day, I.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Had a very.
- 25:34Speaker 8: Honey, what you're doing right now is not the act
- 25:37Speaker 8: of kindness.
- 25:37Speaker 2: No, I am trying to... But nobody talks about us, Carol,
- 25:40Speaker 2: you and me. Listen... Hey, we don't need to be
- 25:42Speaker 2: talked about. The other day I had a.
- 25:44Speaker 8: We got freedom here.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Can I ask you something? Do you do anything... Do
- 25:49Speaker 2: you do anything as simple as lighting a match in
- 25:52Speaker 2: the bathroom? Do you do that?
- 25:54Speaker 8: No, I don't light matches.
- 25:55Speaker 2: No, see? I don't smoke. I don't smoke, so I
- 25:58Speaker 2: don't light matches. I'm talking about after a bowel movement.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Do you light a match? Oh, do we?
- 26:02Speaker 3: Oh, man. This lady needs help.
- 26:06Speaker 8: You need to get her some help. She needs help,
- 26:09Speaker 8: mental help.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Why do I need mental help?
- 26:12Speaker 3: Wait, wait, wait. Because you are nuts. I've got to
- 26:14Speaker 3: ask this question. You think lighting a match after going
- 26:17Speaker 3: to the bathroom is the same as saving someone's life?
- 26:19Speaker 2: No, I did not say that. I said it's a
- 26:22Speaker 2: small kindness.
- 26:23Speaker 8: My radio, my telephone is going dead.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I'm a hero because I bought some Girl Scout. Your
- 26:27Speaker 2: telephone's dead?
- 26:28Speaker 8: Yes, my telephone's going dead. But you need some help, lady.
- 26:34Speaker 8: You do need some help.
- 26:36Speaker 3: All right, thanks, Cheryl, for your call.
- 26:37Speaker 2: I don't know why she says that. I'm simply.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Well, that's a stupid example. Lighting a match after you
- 26:43Speaker 3: go to the bathroom.
- 26:44Speaker 2: I'm talking about the small things in life. I'm talking
- 26:49Speaker 2: about the little kindnesses in life. You know, and it's
- 26:53Speaker 2: so like so many of you on the radio to
- 26:55Speaker 2: take it to a juvenile level. You immediately go to
- 26:58Speaker 2: a juvenile level. I'm talking about simple courtesies. All right.
- 27:02Speaker 3: How about opening a door, ma'am? All I'm saying is
- 27:05Speaker 3: it's a little indelicate to bring up on a radio show.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Well, I mean lighting a match after you go to
- 27:11Speaker 3: the bathroom.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Phil, it's something not a lot of people do. And
- 27:15Speaker 2: we have books and books of matches.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fine. It's okay. I don't need to talk
- 27:19Speaker 3: about it. Here's Rebecca. Go ahead, Rebecca. You're on the
- 27:22Speaker 3: Phil Henry Show.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Bobby. Mm-hmm.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Jessica Lynch, Jessica Lynch, Jessica Lynch.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Uh-huh.
- 27:31Speaker 6: I mean, that's what's bothering you so bad. What's the problem?
- 27:35Speaker 6: She's a hero.
- 27:37Speaker 2: You know, Rebecca, if you weren't drinking your lunch, maybe
- 27:40Speaker 2: you and I could have.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Okay, the insults are going to start?
- 27:42Speaker 6: Right away.
- 27:44Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 27:44Speaker 6: I can handle it.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Go ahead.
- 27:46Speaker 2: If you weren't drinking your lunch, I'd talk about it.
- 27:50Speaker 6: If I weren't drinking my lunch.
- 27:52Speaker 2: That's beautiful. Think about it.
- 27:54Speaker 7: Oh, I understand what you're trying to say.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Hey, Rebecca, light a match for freedom, huh?
- 27:59Speaker 6: Oh, I light matches in my bathroom all the time.
- 28:02Speaker 6: I'm capable of that.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Well, thank you.
- 28:03Speaker 6: But I'm also capable of understanding when a hero is
- 28:08Speaker 6: a hero. And how do you know? I mean, you're
- 28:14Speaker 6: not knocking her for anything.
- 28:16Speaker 2: No, I'm not.
- 28:17Speaker 6: But you keep blaming her for taking the wrong turn.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I think she's trying to stick it to the housewives
- 28:22Speaker 2: of America, and I resent it.
- 28:24Speaker 5: How do you figure?
- 28:25Speaker 2: Because we're out there every day doing wonderful things.
- 28:29Speaker 6: I'm there every day doing things for my family. And
- 28:33Speaker 6: I also work. And I have three children. And I
- 28:37Speaker 6: do things every day. Yesterday, I took someone to the
- 28:40Speaker 6: doctor because he wasn't able to drive himself. He had
- 28:43Speaker 6: a brown recluse. spider bite on his neck and would
- 28:47Speaker 6: have died from it i took him do i you
- 28:49Speaker 6: know that is something that.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Is just natural i don't expect everybody to crowd in
- 28:55Speaker 7: my front yard and clap for me in my 6,500
- 28:58Speaker 7: square foot home you know.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Well because what you did i don't know you think
- 29:04Speaker 2: that's really great or what i don't know.
- 29:06Speaker 3: She saved a man's life all right let me.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Ask you this do you roll your pads up in
- 29:10Speaker 2: toilet paper before you put them in the trash No.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Do I do what? Do you roll your sanitary pads
- 29:16Speaker 2: up in toilet paper before you put them in the trash?
- 29:19Speaker 2: That is respectful.
- 29:20Speaker 6: I wrap them in toilet paper and I put them
- 29:22Speaker 6: in the trash. I don't flush them down the toilet.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Okay, that is, to me, those are the little things. Okay,
- 29:27Speaker 2: so I'm a hero.
- 29:29Speaker 6: I'm a hero now. I'm more of a hero than
- 29:31Speaker 6: she is. She's 19 years old. She goes to fight
- 29:35Speaker 6: for us.
- 29:37Speaker 7: All country.
- 29:38Speaker 2: But, Rebecca.
- 29:39Speaker 6: And she gets shot at, her leg's broken, and we're
- 29:44Speaker 6: not allowed to talk.
- 29:45Speaker 2: To her for a few days?
- 29:46Speaker 3: Exactly. I mean, can't we revel in this story? Can't
- 29:49Speaker 3: we revel in this girl's story?
- 29:51Speaker 7: It's one of the very few hopeful things that we
- 29:54Speaker 7: have to talk.
- 29:55Speaker 3: About right now.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Well, I'm just saying, Rebecca, for all the matches you
- 29:59Speaker 2: lit after all of the times in the bathroom, doesn't
- 30:03Speaker 2: that count? No, it doesn't.
- 30:06Speaker 6: It doesn't account for anything comparable to what she's done.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I think if you stop to think of how many
- 30:12Speaker 2: times she's sat down on the toilet.
- 30:14Speaker 3: It doesn't matter.
- 30:16Speaker 5: No, it doesn't.
- 30:17Speaker 7: It doesn't matter at all.
- 30:18Speaker 6: Nothing that we do as housewives or our working mothers
- 30:23Speaker 6: or anything.
- 30:24Speaker 7: Else is comparable to.
- 30:26Speaker 6: What this 19-year-old girl has done for our country.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I agree with you, Rebecca, and I think that Ms.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Dooley and others who... You know, don't get what the
- 30:35Speaker 3: war is about.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Phil, I get what the war is about. Now you don't.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Now you definitely don't.
- 30:40Speaker 3: All right, well, Rebecca, thank you.
- 30:43Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Marcia, go ahead. You're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 30:46Speaker 2: You know what, Ms. Doley?
- 30:47Speaker 5: That's what you are, woman. You're a fool. Because Jennifer.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Language, please.
- 30:51Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm really fired up right now.
- 30:53Speaker 2: But you know what?
- 30:54Speaker 5: You ain't nothing but a lazy, fat woman sitting down
- 30:56Speaker 5: on your couch in your 60-foot-hundred-square-foot outfit. Well, Jennifer Lynch
- 31:01Speaker 5: is out there fighting for our freedom and for the
- 31:03Speaker 5: country that is Iraq. You're just sitting there on your
- 31:06Speaker 5: couch in your little cozy home, woman.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I was on the Atkins diet, so I'm not fat.
- 31:10Speaker 2: That's number one.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Okay, well, whatever. I think that you are. You're a housewife.
- 31:14Speaker 5: You're sitting there in your house. You're 65 years quit
- 31:17Speaker 5: for home. Well, this woman out there fighting for our country.
- 31:19Speaker 5: Let me tell you another thing.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Do you like that?
- 31:21Speaker 5: The reason why she was caught, you're saying that she
- 31:23Speaker 5: pulled down the wrong road on purpose? No, honey. The
- 31:26Speaker 5: reason why she was caught is because she ran out
- 31:28Speaker 5: of bullets shooting for her life. Do you understand that?
- 31:31Speaker 5: She was sitting for a while fighting our country for
- 31:34Speaker 5: your freedom, lady.
- 31:35Speaker 2: She took a left turn when she should have taken
- 31:37Speaker 2: a right.
- 31:38Speaker 5: She should have, but she didn't.
- 31:39Speaker 3: It was a mistake.
- 31:40Speaker 5: And like they said, how do you know she was driving?
- 31:42Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Number two, she's following a route that's already prescribed for her.
- 31:48Speaker 1: She doesn't just go down a road and say, oh,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I think I'll turn left here. She's following a map.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Well, then she probably made the map for herself.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Oh, you're so crazy. You are so crazy. You just
- 31:59Speaker 5: lost your flip, lady. You have. You just lost your flip.
- 32:02Speaker 5: Why don't you sit there and eat your little cozy
- 32:03Speaker 5: donuts in your little cozy.
- 32:05Speaker 2: House, okay? You know, Susan, I'm out every day.
- 32:08Speaker 5: And for the freedom of those Iraqis, okay?
- 32:11Speaker 2: I'm out the world every day, Marsha. I'm lighting matches.
- 32:13Speaker 2: You think that this is a man?
- 32:15Speaker 5: If you wouldn't be all up on this, if it
- 32:16Speaker 5: was a man, would you be just as proud of him? Okay,
- 32:20Speaker 5: it doesn't matter. My nephew's over there fighting that war also.
- 32:23Speaker 2: How can we respect.
- 32:24Speaker 5: Our countrymen that are fighting this war, whether it be
- 32:26Speaker 5: men or women?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question, please? If this girl
- 32:30Speaker 2: is so wonderful, if she's so wonderful, why didn't she
- 32:33Speaker 2: stop and ask for directions?
- 32:35Speaker 5: You're such an idiot.
- 32:36Speaker 2: No, I'm serious.
- 32:37Speaker 3: What do you think, they have gas stations over there
- 32:39Speaker 3: she's going to pull into? She's got a map there.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I'm simply saying. I've lit matches. I've rolled up my
- 32:46Speaker 2: mini pads and my maxi pads.
- 32:48Speaker 5: What does a match have to do.
- 32:48Speaker 2: With anything with fighting a war?
- 32:50Speaker 5: Answer that question. Hey, let me ask you a question.
- 32:52Speaker 5: What does a match have to do with anything with fighting.
- 32:53Speaker 7: A war, lady?
- 32:54Speaker 2: I'm saying enough matches lit equal what she did.
- 32:58Speaker 5: How does that do that, lady? Answer that question. You're
- 33:01Speaker 5: such a fool. Why don't you sit down and think
- 33:04Speaker 5: about what you're saying, lady?
- 33:06Speaker 2: In the Bible it says, it's the little things that count.
- 33:09Speaker 5: And another thing, whenever you said the old hag or
- 33:14Speaker 5: the old rag or whatever you said, have respect for
- 33:17Speaker 5: what she's done. Just like she, I'm sure, has respect
- 33:20Speaker 5: for what she's done. She will cherish those war wounds
- 33:23Speaker 5: that she will have for the rest of her life
- 33:24Speaker 5: for defending me and you.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I want to ask you something, Ms. Dooley.
- 33:29Speaker 1: I mean, you had an old lady not eat a
- 33:32Speaker 1: pear that might have given her diarrhea. you light matches
- 33:36Speaker 1: after you leave the bathroom, and you roll up your
- 33:38Speaker 1: pads and toilet paper, and you've been doing this your
- 33:41Speaker 1: whole life.
- 33:41Speaker 3: And you think after all of that, you ought to
- 33:44Speaker 3: be interviewing.
- 33:45Speaker 5: My mother does the same thing. My mother works in
- 33:48Speaker 5: the nursing home. She doesn't expect the appreciation from all
- 33:51Speaker 5: these people.
- 33:52Speaker 2: I prevented that old lady from drowning in a pile
- 33:55Speaker 2: of her own stones.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Those people come out here and bond our New York
- 34:00Speaker 5: City with our planes.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Well, you know something? I think that You just don't get,
- 34:05Speaker 2: look at this. There's a protest in Paris. Those people
- 34:08Speaker 2: are really smart. You know what? There's a stupid protest.
- 34:11Speaker 5: This broad protest is stupid. They need to stand behind
- 34:14Speaker 5: our men.
- 34:14Speaker 2: How are you spelling men?
- 34:16Speaker 3: M-I-N? All right, listen. Thank you very much, Marcia.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Thank you very much.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Stand by your men.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I just wanted to get off a crack and get
- 34:22Speaker 2: back on the real world.
- 34:23Speaker 3: She's a freaking weirdo.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Oh, stand by your men.
- 34:30Speaker 3: What a freak. 1-800-44, what is it, Stand By Your Mayan,
- 34:35Speaker 3: as in South American Indian?
- 34:36Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 34:37Speaker 3: All right.
