- 0:18Hello, and welcome to episode 221 of the All Systems Go sports
- 0:24Betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
- 0:27I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on everyone happy
- 0:35Thirsty Thursday. Our work week is coming to an
- 0:38end, but we got a couple days left here before the weekend,
- 0:41hopefully continue our hot streak.
- 0:44Now looking toward today guys, I have another 3 pack of college
- 0:47basketball plays for you all three very short money line
- 0:50plays or I guess one's a little bit more expensive, but as
- 0:53always, 3 plays. Let's try to eke out A2 in one
- 0:56night and produce a winning night, which is our goal.
- 0:59But then also I wanted to talk a little bit about the Four
- 1:02Nations final tonight, which is obviously USA, Canada.
- 1:06I can tell you guys just from being around Boston, I live
- 1:09about 20 minutes, no, probably like 30 minutes from downtown
- 1:13Boston and it is taking Boston by storm.
- 1:15I mean, these ticket prices are ridiculous, upwards of like
- 1:19$1000 to get in for tonight's game.
- 1:21And there is a ton on the line, bragging rights, of course, the
- 1:25rivalry of USA and Canada. It's basically a coin flip game.
- 1:29So I'm going to give you some thoughts on on the Four Nations
- 1:32final here for tonight. But then we got to see if we can
- 1:35produce another winning night guys because we went two and one
- 1:38yesterday plus 0.4 units. I will take it every time.
- 1:42And when you look in the Sports Betting Hall of Fame, there's
- 1:46going to be a little picture of the Mizzou Tigers because Oh my
- 1:50God, did Missouri come through for the team last night.
- 1:54I would argue again, a Hall of Fame wiseguy play because we
- 1:57were talking about Alabama and Missouri and how basically
- 2:00everybody and their mother was on Alabama.
- 2:02Upwards of 8590% of tickets were on Bama.
- 2:06But yet Missouri was basically a pick em.
- 2:09Missouri flipped to 1 1/2 point home favorite.
- 2:11And we said, of course, going into a bet, it's OK being
- 2:14nervous, feeling, feeling like it's going to be a, you know, a,
- 2:18a dogfight. And pretty much every bet is
- 2:20like that unless you get a very nice rocking chair winner.
- 2:23But the fact that Mizzou came through for the team, that was
- 2:27just beautiful. I mean, that's why you bet on
- 2:30sports. That's why you're a data-driven
- 2:32better. Because all I heard all day was.
- 2:34What's up with the line? The wrong team is favored.
- 2:37Bama won't lose two in a row. There's no way they'll lose two
- 2:39in a row. They're the better team.
- 2:41They. Got to win, but what did we do?
- 2:43We stuck to the model, the data, the market and the market told
- 2:47us even though everyone was playing Bama, the line went to
- 2:50Mizzou. So talk about a Hall of Fame
- 2:53reverse line move fade, the trendy dog play.
- 2:56That was just fantastic to see Mizzou just play lights out.
- 2:59I mean, they were just fantastic throughout that game.
- 3:01Got a little close at the end, but Mizzou, that was, that was
- 3:04one of the, I would argue that was one of the best winners that
- 3:07we've had this year in college basketball, just because it
- 3:09seemed so fishy, so improbable, and yet we didn't fall into the,
- 3:13the herd mentality, the trap of you got to play Bama.
- 3:15We, we stuck to our, our principles and cashed a huge
- 3:18data-driven bet on Mizzou. Now, aside from Mizzou, also got
- 3:21Boise State. That one was nice because didn't
- 3:23have to sweat that one too much. It was, I don't know, they're
- 3:25probably a few at half and then really rolled in the
- 3:27second-half. And the only loser was Nebraska,
- 3:30which again, they were like -1 1/2.
- 3:32They closed at -2 at some shops. They just played the worst first
- 3:36half I've seen in quite a while. They just could not make a shot
- 3:39in Penn State was unconscious. But either way, guys buoyed by
- 3:42Mizzou and Boise, another winning night there.
- 3:44So let's see if we can keep it going for for tonight.
- 3:48Now, before we get to college basketball, as I mentioned, 3
- 3:50plays overall. I just want you to want to
- 3:52mention a little bit just some thoughts about the Four Nations
- 3:56final tonight because again, if you haven't been paying
- 3:58attention, this was a mid season tournament that to me, I didn't
- 4:02know what to expect. It kind of caught up to me or
- 4:05you know, caught me, caught me off guard because it wasn't
- 4:08something that I really look forward to.
- 4:09I didn't really know what it would be like.
- 4:11Would it be like an All Star game, the Olympics, you know,
- 4:14somewhere in between. But this thing, the NH LS got to
- 4:16be hot, got to be really happy and just hockey in general has
- 4:19got to be ecstatic because if you've been watching any of
- 4:22these games, they've been unbelievable.
- 4:24These guys care. USA Canada is the championship
- 4:27game here tonight at the TD Garden in Boston.
- 4:30So I can just tell you the vibe on the ground.
- 4:32I got friends who are going to the game and are spending a lot
- 4:34of money to do so. My dad obviously is a huge, if
- 4:38you didn't know, he's a huge hockey guy.
- 4:39He was born in Bethesda, MD and moved to Boston when he was like
- 4:4321 years old and he knew nothing about hockey and fell in love
- 4:47with Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito.
- 4:49So he raised me to be a die hard Bruins fan, but he is super into
- 4:53this matchup. And you've seen today on
- 4:55Twitter, you know a lot of the 1980 Miracle on Ice, you know,
- 4:59the Herb Brooks speech, you know, tonight we skate with
- 5:02them. Tonight we beat him.
- 5:03And tonight we shut them down because tonight we're the
- 5:06greatest hockey team in the world.
- 5:08So all that being said, you're like Josh, OK, you're giving me
- 5:11a lot of insights. This is a betting podcast.
- 5:13What's your play? I'm going to tell you one thing
- 5:16tonight, guys, I'm not betting on this game.
- 5:19I'm watching this game as a fan. I'm rooting for Team USA.
- 5:22The reason why I'm not betting it is because #1 it's a
- 5:25difficult handicap. It's basically a pick em.
- 5:28It's -110 both sides. You saw some books open a little
- 5:32bit in favor of USA, like -120 ish -115 down to -110 So it's
- 5:38basically a coin flip game. And really, what makes a
- 5:41difficult handicap to me is, on the one hand, you know, USA is
- 5:45kind of the bigger, tougher team, but they have a big
- 5:48injury. Charlie McAvoy is out, which
- 5:50stinks for me as a Bruins fan. The Bruins are actually really
- 5:53mad. They feel like Team USA screwed
- 5:55up the injury. But then you have Kale Makar
- 5:59coming back for Team Canada. And Kale Makar did not play in
- 6:02that first game when USA beat Canada.
- 6:04So I feel like Canada is the healthier, better team.
- 6:07But the other difficult handicap here is the goaltending.
- 6:10I don't trust Jordan Bennington, do you?
- 6:12I think Connor Hellebuck is the advantage here in net for Team
- 6:16USA. Obviously there's questions
- 6:18about what's going to go on with the anthem.
- 6:19Will one will Canada Boo USA will USA Boo Canada?
- 6:24You pay for the tickets, you do whatever you want, but I I would
- 6:26cheer for both teams. That's just my personal opinion.
- 6:29But Long story short guys, I find no edge.
- 6:32This is literally a coin flip game and if I take USAI feel
- 6:36like I'm injecting my patriotism and playing them just because I
- 6:40want them to win and that goes against my data-driven
- 6:42contrarian philosophy. If I take Canada and USA wins,
- 6:47I'll be annoyed that USA won and I bet against them.
- 6:49So this is just one of those sporting events where if you're
- 6:52playing it, I wish you the best of luck.
- 6:55You know, I feel like I lean a little bit toward Canada just
- 6:57because they're healthier, but I don't trust their goaltending.
- 7:00So I'm going to watch this thing as a just hockey fan, not a
- 7:03sports better tonight. And I would also mention the
- 7:08total, you know, it does look like it's a pretty sharp under,
- 7:11like it's a very low total. It's 5 1/2 and it's really
- 7:14juiced up under 5 1/2. Like -130 So I entertain maybe
- 7:18just take the under and root for a lower scoring game.
- 7:20Maybe USA, you know, wins three to two or something like that.
- 7:24But it's pretty juiced up. And I would lean a little bit
- 7:26toward kind of the Game 7 under betting system or trend.
- 7:29You typically see an elimination games, championship games, you
- 7:33see lower scoring, you know, final games because you know,
- 7:36teams basically there's so much on the line, they're going to
- 7:38take less chances, they're going to play a little bit tighter.
- 7:41But then I had a couple people I respect that like the over 5 1/2
- 7:45at like, you know, plus one O 5 + 110.
- 7:48So Long story short, I've had a lot of people reach out and say,
- 7:50what are you doing for this game, guys?
- 7:53I know it's a betting podcast. Maybe you feel like I'm being a
- 7:55cop out here, but I'm just watching this game rooting for
- 7:58team USAI. Got no action on this other than
- 8:02being a fan and die hard lover of the sport of hockey.
- 8:06So just wanted to wanted to mention that at the outset.
- 8:08And again, it's a pick em game so I really can't fault you
- 8:12whichever direction you go in. With that being said, now I got
- 8:15some plays for you, let's get right back to some college
- 8:18hoops. Who's loving college hoops?
- 8:21So 3 pack overall guys. First one on the board for me,
- 8:247:00 game. This is UTEP against Kennesaw
- 8:27State. Now going into it we have UTEP
- 8:3017 and 8 on the year. They just saw their two game win
- 8:32streak however come to an end. They lost to Liberty 76 to 69.
- 8:37Did not cover as a 1 1/2 point home dog.
- 8:39Meanwhile, Kennesaw 15 and 11 on the year, but they have dropped
- 8:42two of their last three, just fell to Sam Houston 78 to 76.
- 8:47They did cover though as a 2 1/2 point Rd. dog.
- 8:50So what have we seen across the market here?
- 8:52Well, in a night with a lot of college hoops action, there's
- 8:54like 53 games to choose from. This is one of the lower back
- 8:57games, yet we've seen a pretty sharp move in favor of Kennesaw
- 9:01State. Kennesaw State open this game as
- 9:04around a 2 1/2 point home favorite.
- 9:06And now I've seen Kennesaw move up to -3 1/2.
- 9:09And one thing I've noticed since early afternoon to later
- 9:12afternoon is that the juice has only increased on Kennesaw state
- 9:16-3 1/2 -, 115. I see one book even going to
- 9:19four. So it's been pretty clearly 1
- 9:21sided in favor of smart money playing Kennesaw State at home.
- 9:26Now if you look at DraftKings, pretty good bet split on
- 9:28Kennesaw State. The Owls, by the way, they're
- 9:30getting 60% of spread bets, but 84% of spread dollars.
- 9:35So a really good low bets, higher dollars bet split and
- 9:38again, 60% and 84% and a relatively low bet game tells me
- 9:42majority smart money here really coinciding with that line move
- 9:46going toward Kennesaw State. Now, Ken Palm as Kennesaw
- 9:49winning by three points. So you want to lay a 3 1/2?
- 9:52And again, we saw this with Boise last night.
- 9:54Like I paid kind of an expensive -190 they rolled in one by like
- 9:5810 or 11. So that's always your option.
- 10:01But I'm the type of person who'd rather be a little safe than
- 10:04sorry. So I money line Kennesaw State.
- 10:06I got them at -175 on the money line, Kennesaw does have a few
- 10:11advantages here that I'll bank on.
- 10:12One is the better offensive rebound percentage, 34% versus
- 10:1624%. That's a pretty big edge.
- 10:19Also, if you look at limiting their opponents to a better
- 10:22effective field goal percentage, like playing better defense,
- 10:25making it difficult on your opponent.
- 10:27Kennesaw State ranks 61st in the country.
- 10:29UTEP ranks 219. Also, just rebounding in
- 10:33general, offensive and defensive.
- 10:35You know, typically when you out rebound your opponent, that's
- 10:37most of the time a recipe for for success.
- 10:40But Kennesaw State averages 42 rebounds per game.
- 10:44The UTEP Miners average 30 rebounds per game.
- 10:47So hopefully we can dominate on the boards tonight.
- 10:50Of course, home Rd. you saw the Mizzou crowd going nuts last
- 10:53night. And if you watch the Boise State
- 10:55game, same thing. But I'd love to be on a sharp
- 10:58side with the home crowd in my favor because I think it does
- 11:01make a difference in college much more than the pros.
- 11:03But Kennesaw State, 11:00 and 2:00 at home this year, they've
- 11:06played pretty well. UTEP four and four on the road.
- 11:09And then also, I'll throw this at you a little bit of a revenge
- 11:12angle because Kennesaw State lost to UTEP earlier this year.
- 11:16It was in late January. They lost 73 to 71 on the road,
- 11:21so they played them close on the road.
- 11:23Now you're at home. It's also a little fishy because
- 11:25UTEP has a better record, yet Kennesaw has the line move in
- 11:28their favor. It doesn't hurt that our friends
- 11:31at Rhythm have Kennesaw state -3.1.
- 11:34So I'm playing Kennesaw State here, hopefully start our night
- 11:36off with the winner. I got Kennesaw State on the
- 11:39money line at -175 next bet for you, Tennessee Martin and
- 11:46Tennessee Tech. There's an 830 game here
- 11:49tonight, a very, very low back game.
- 11:50So of course line movement is important to me now.
- 11:53Tennessee Martin, 12 and 16 just saw their three-game win streak
- 11:56come to an end. Don't remind me.
- 11:58I played them like an idiot on the pod the other night.
- 12:01They were just terrible. Which actually makes me excited
- 12:03to bet against them tonight. Hint hint.
- 12:05I like Tennessee Tech, but they lost to Tennessee State 86 to
- 12:0875, losing outright as a 2 1/2 point home favorite.
- 12:12Meanwhile, Tennessee Tech 13 and 14 on the air.
- 12:15They've lost three of their last four.
- 12:16Just fell to Southeast Missouri State, 83 to 69.
- 12:20Did not cover as a 6 1/2 point Rd. dog.
- 12:22So what do you see across the market here?
- 12:24Well, this game opened Tennessee Tech listed as a short 1 1/2
- 12:28point home favorite. And it's pretty clear in one of
- 12:31the lowest bet games of the night.
- 12:33So this is not an added game extra game.
- 12:34It's just a it's game 780-9790. But it's still very low bet in
- 12:38terms of popularity. But we've seen one way movement
- 12:42in favor of Tennessee Tech Tennessee Tech opened -1 1/2
- 12:46juiced up. Now they're -2 some shops even
- 12:49up to 2 1/2. So it's been pretty one way in
- 12:51favor of Tennessee Tech. If you look at DraftKings,
- 12:54pretty good bet split on Tennessee Tech, 68% of spread
- 12:57bets, 80% of spread dollars, and again, extremely low bet game.
- 13:02So 60% would technically be public, but I try to make this
- 13:06point all the time. Even though that's a majority of
- 13:08tickets, it's a low bet game. So it's coming from a much
- 13:11smaller share of betters and doesn't really involve public
- 13:14bias. Ken Palm does have Tennessee
- 13:16Tech winning by three. So if you want to lay two 2 1/2,
- 13:19save some juice. I hope you win, but this is a
- 13:22money line play for me because I've been clipped many times
- 13:24before laying a, you know, two, 2 1/2 and they win by one or
- 13:28two. So I got Tennessee Tech on the
- 13:31money line at -130. Also you look at Tennessee Tech,
- 13:35a few advantages here. The better effective field goal
- 13:38percentage, 51% versus 47%, better three-point shooting, 36%
- 13:43versus 31%, better free throw shooting, 72% versus 70%.
- 13:48If you remember those of you who are with me and played UT Martin
- 13:52the other night, they could not make any free throws.
- 13:54Hopefully that continues here tonight.
- 13:56But then also the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech.
- 13:58They take better care of the ball.
- 13:59They ranked two, 211 in the country in turnover percentage.
- 14:03Might not sound great, but Tennessee Martin is one of the
- 14:05worst. They ranked 319.
- 14:08Another angle here that's hopefully to our advantage, a
- 14:11really big rest first tired advantage in favor of Tennessee
- 14:14Tech Tennessee Tech hasn't played since February 15th.
- 14:18They've been off 5 days. Tennessee Martin last played
- 14:20February 18th a couple nights ago.
- 14:23Also Home Rd. Doesn't hurt that Tennessee Tech
- 14:26is 7 and three at home this year.
- 14:28Tennessee Martin 5:00 and 11:00 on the road.
- 14:31And our friends at Rhythm have Tennessee Tech favored by about
- 14:35just one point, so it's not huge there.
- 14:37But again, Ken Palm has the winning by three.
- 14:40It's a low bet, obscure, sharp line move and maybe I'm letting
- 14:44my bias seep in, but I really want to beat UT Martin because I
- 14:47wanted to gouge my eyes out betting on them the other night.
- 14:50And hopefully we can take advantage and and beat them, get
- 14:53some get some reverse revenge here tonight.
- 14:55So I like Tennessee Tech to hopefully win this game.
- 14:58Got them at -130 last bit of the night, 9:00 PM Eastern Time,
- 15:03Portland State and Idaho State. Portland State comes in 16 and
- 15:0710 on the year. They've won two in a row, just
- 15:09held off Northern Colorado, 82 to 71 easily covered as a 1 1/2
- 15:13point home favorite. Meanwhile, Idaho State 11 and 13
- 15:17on the year, they've dropped three of four, just lost to
- 15:19Montana State, 74 to 69, didn't cover as a 3 1/2 point Rd. dog.
- 15:24So what have you seen across the market here?
- 15:26Well, this game open Idaho State listed as a 1 1/2 point home
- 15:30favorite. And right off the bat, that
- 15:32opening line is meaningful to me because Idaho State is a below
- 15:36500 team and they dropped three of four, yet they're favored
- 15:40over Portland State, who's 16 and 10 and is 1/2 in a row.
- 15:43Again, that's fishy in favor of Idaho State.
- 15:46So wise guys have embraced that fishy play.
- 15:49They've gotten down on Idaho State.
- 15:51They open up -1 1/2 -, 110. Now they're juiced up -1 1/2 -,
- 15:56115. And a lot of books are now up to
- 15:58-2 So it's been pretty much one way movement in favor of Idaho
- 16:02State. Now you look at the bet splits
- 16:04here. They look really good on Idaho
- 16:06State at both DraftKings and Circa.
- 16:08At DraftKings, Idaho State is getting 68% of spread bets but
- 16:1289% of spread dollars. Out in Vegas At Circa, Idaho
- 16:16State, 60% of bets, 74% of spread dollars.
- 16:21So both the National DraftKings public book and Circa Sharp Book
- 16:25in Vegas both really good splits in favor of the home team, Idaho
- 16:29State. Now Ken Palm only has Idaho
- 16:32State winning by 1, so you guys know the drill.
- 16:35Money line play for me. I got Idaho State around -130
- 16:39pretty good split here on the they're called the Bengals.
- 16:42The Idaho State Bengals 57% of money line bets, 70% of money
- 16:47line dollars at DraftKings. And a couple things to bank on
- 16:50with Idaho State, even though they have the worst record of
- 16:53the two teams, they have the better offensive efficiency, 211
- 16:57versus 258, offensive rebound percentage, 39% versus 34%, and
- 17:02a big edge at free throw shooting, 73% versus only 64%.
- 17:07And also they do a better job of limiting offensive rebounds.
- 17:10If you give up offensive boards, it's demoralizing.
- 17:14It leads to put back opportunities.
- 17:16You want to not give up offensive rebounds and they are
- 17:19pretty good at that. They ranked 41st in the country
- 17:21versus Portland State. That gives up a lot of offensive
- 17:24boards. They ranked 272nd.
- 17:27The Bengals also, as I mentioned, Fishy by low value
- 17:30favorite on a losing streak with a losing record against the sell
- 17:33high Dog on the road with a winning streak and a winning
- 17:37record. Idaho State, by the way, eight
- 17:39and three at home this year. Portland State 5:00 and 8:00 on
- 17:42the road. Lastly, our friends at Rhythm,
- 17:44Ken Palm only has Idaho State winning by one, but Rhythm has
- 17:48Idaho State -2.1. So I'm going Idaho State late
- 17:52night. Let's go Bengals on the money
- 17:55line at -130 so Kennesaw State, Tennessee Tech and Idaho State,
- 18:003 money lines. Let's try to go 2 and one and
- 18:02keep our winning streak going. So that about does it for
- 18:06episode 221 of the All Systems Go Sports Betting podcast
- 18:10powered by Rhythm. This is the part of the pod
- 18:12where we wrap things up. And I start first by saying
- 18:15thank you. Thank you for taking the time
- 18:17out of your busy lives and your busy day to devote 30 minutes or
- 18:20so to hopefully spacing out. And whether you come to the pod
- 18:24with, you know, a notebook with with some plays, or maybe you
- 18:28had no time to look at the board, the fact that you pull up
- 18:30a chair to the virtual bar and gather around and and breakdown
- 18:33sharp plays with me, it really means a lot.
- 18:35So thank you for tuning in. If you do enjoy the pod and you
- 18:38want to help me grow the pod, please do me a big favor.
- 18:41Give this podcast a five star review.
- 18:43If you're listening on Spotify or iTunes, click the five stars.
- 18:46If there's an option to leave a nice comment, that would also
- 18:49make my day. If you also want to click the
- 18:51follow button or recommend it to a friend, that would be
- 18:54fantastic as well. Secondly, if you enjoy this
- 18:57style of betting breakdown, maybe never in a million years
- 19:01would you have played Mizzou last night, but you've learned
- 19:03to read the market and respect and trust the market.
- 19:06Will the market win every time? No, but it's going to win a
- 19:08majority of the time the smart money.
- 19:10So that's why we respect the data.
- 19:13But if that's the case and you enjoy data-driven betting, you
- 19:15want to learn more about data-driven betting.
- 19:18You know what you should do? You should buy 2 books.
- 19:20You should start with the Everything Guide to Sports
- 19:22Betting. It's the first book I ever
- 19:24wrote, basically encompasses the sharp contrarian philosophy
- 19:27across the entire betting market.
- 19:29You can go to Amazon.com and type in the Everything Guide to
- 19:31Sports Betting. But you know what?
- 19:33I got a new book coming out and I want to thank you all for pre
- 19:36ordering it. But if you haven't done it yet,
- 19:39go to Amazon.com and type in the NFL Sharp Betting Playbook.
- 19:43It comes out August 12th. I cannot wait.
- 19:45I'm super proud of it. I think it's I think it's I
- 19:48think hopefully it'll be well received because I put a lot of
- 19:50a lot of time and energy into it and pretty much dump my entire
- 19:54brain into this thing. So looking forward to dropping
- 19:57it to you guys. But please, if you want to
- 20:00pre-order a copy on Amazon, that would really, really mean the
- 20:03world to me. And thank you all who have
- 20:04already pre-ordered a copy. I love you guys.
- 20:07Next, if you have not done it yet.
- 20:11You better go download both rhythm and Juice reel, my two
- 20:13favorite sports betting apps on the market.
- 20:15They help me win. They're going to help you win.
- 20:17So rhythm does a fantastic job of powering this podcast.
- 20:21Rhythm is great for their AI backed models and predictions
- 20:24for best bets and player props. And of course, Juice Reel where
- 20:28you can follow the all systems go best bet picks, support the
- 20:31team sign up there $4.99 a week. Hopefully the pod gives you a,
- 20:37you know, 5 bucks worth of insights throughout the week,
- 20:39but you'll get plays I bet everyday, all seven days, most
- 20:42of the time, and basically I consider that a tip jar.
- 20:45If you like the pod, which is free, go sign up to follow those
- 20:48plays. You can always check out the
- 20:50tweet that I put out late afternoon at Josh under score
- 20:53insights. Or you can just go to the juice
- 20:55reel social tab and click find juicers and search ASG under
- 20:59score podcast. Also, you can tell the Robo
- 21:02Jackson best bet picks if you like, and you can also get
- 21:05arbitrage indicators, sharp, sharp mush system matches.
- 21:09You can sync up your sports books, and you can also get
- 21:13really cool game breakdowns, real bets and dollars on every
- 21:15single matchup from people who have synced up their sports
- 21:18books. So of course, guys, lastly, I
- 21:21got to figure a way to incorporate this in the the
- 21:24ending spiel. But also if you need a live odds
- 21:27page #1 if you're not using a live odds page and and sports
- 21:31betting is even harder than it is to begin with.
- 21:33So you got to have a live odds page which shows you every game
- 21:36on the board moving in real time.
- 21:38So you can shop for the best line.
- 21:39You can look at opening numbers versus current, see which
- 21:42direction the line is moving, anticipate line movement, jump
- 21:45on a number or a hook before it moves.
- 21:48So if you need a live odds page or you're looking to get a
- 21:50better live odds page, that's less expensive because they can
- 21:53be expensive out there. If you know who I'm talking
- 21:56about, you know who I'm talking about.
- 21:57But I'd love for you guys to try out Odds Logic you might have
- 22:01heard me talk about on previous pods.
- 22:02I just started partnering up with Odds Logic.
- 22:05So if you want to give it a shot, you can just go to
- 22:07oddslogic.com/josh 123 and you'll be locked and loaded with
- 22:13a 7 day free trial. If you need that link or have
- 22:16any questions about Oddslogic, please send me a direct message
- 22:19on Twitter at Josh under score Insights.
- 22:22So that about does it for today's Thirsty Thursday pod.
- 22:25Also want to mention I'll be on SiriusXM, which I am every
- 22:29Thursday night, 8:00 with my buddy Patrick Maher and Dustin
- 22:33Swedelson. So we breaking down some games
- 22:35and maybe some some MLB talk, maybe the importance of a live
- 22:38odds page. Maybe we'll talk about that as
- 22:40well. But I will hope to see you guys
- 22:41there if you have SiriusXM. So as always, leave you with a
- 22:46couple things. One, whether I see you at the
- 22:48Borgata in Atlantic City, Twin River in Rhode Island, the Brook
- 22:51in New Hampshire, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun down at the Encore
- 22:54in Boston, or placing bets out in the desert at the South Point
- 22:59where the lowest juice possible is found.
- 23:01Or sweat and sharp contrarian plays jumping in the stadium
- 23:03swimming pool. When you catch a big ticket at
- 23:05Circa, wherever it may be, you're going to walk up to me.
- 23:08Show me Boise. That was a nice winter, but
- 23:10you're going to show me Mizzou, man, that game right there last
- 23:14night with Mizzou, that just makes sports betting the best.
- 23:18Because all I heard all day was Bama Bama, Bama, Bama, Bama,
- 23:21Bama, Bama. And you know what we did?
- 23:24We didn't fall into the trap of the public, we respected the
- 23:27line move and the bet splits and we cashed one heck of a ticket
- 23:31on Missouri last night. So show me a Mizzou ticket and
- 23:34guess what? First one's on me, next one's on
- 23:36you. We'll post about the book,
- 23:37sweatshirt and train plays all night long.
- 23:40So wish you the best luck everyone.
- 23:41As always. Two and one, one and 2-3 and OO
- 23:45and three the previous night. Should never affect, even though
- 23:47we can't help it. We're human, but shouldn't
- 23:49affect our our our reading of the board the next day.
- 23:54And we're always going to try to stick to the model, stick to the
- 23:56blueprint, never get too high, never get too low.
- 23:58Marathon, not a Sprint. I know these are all cliches,
- 24:01but they're important because I think you got to stay even
- 24:03keeled because sports betting, it'll give you the highest of
- 24:06highs like Mizzou and the lowest of lows.
- 24:08And we've been there too. But either way, guys, if we can
- 24:11stick to that model, that games with our head and not our heart
- 24:14against the public, with the house, with the pros, flat bet,
- 24:17avoid parlays, get that CLV. If we can do that, we're going
- 24:21to be successful sports bettors long term.
- 24:23So enjoy the sweats, enjoy USA. Canada again, I don't have any
- 24:27action on it. I'm just going to be rooting old
- 24:29school with my dad for Team USA. Should be a great game.
- 24:34Very much looking forward to that.
- 24:35Hopefully we can get a couple winners here on the college
- 24:38basketball hardwood. So of course, guys, good luck,
- 24:41enjoy your night, and then we'll be right back at it for a big
- 24:43Friday edition. That'll be episode 2/22/22.
- 24:48Got to get got to get my pods straight here.
- 24:50Episode 2/22 of the All Systems Go sports betting podcast
- 24:54powered by Rhythm. Good luck everybody and go USA.
