- 0:03Happy Sunday Brody, what time is it?
- 0:09It's 1:10 in the afternoon. You're watching Lunch with
- 0:14Lenny. It's 110.
- 0:22I'm spent. I'm completely drained.
- 0:26I am making lunch with Lenny because Larry Hamilton, his son
- 0:31is Ryan. He finished 6th or 7th last
- 0:35night. Larry called me concerned about
- 0:38my health. My mother just called me wanting
- 0:43to know if I'm OK because she read that I will not be at
- 0:46Quincy Raceway today because I had a wreck last night.
- 0:51So first I want to first of all, I want to thank Brody.
- 0:55Brody was worried about me giving up because thank God he
- 1:00was with me last night and Brody right there, the man how old are
- 1:06you, Brody? I'm. 30. 30 30 years old and
- 1:12full of piss and vinegar. Man reminds me of myself.
- 1:15You cannot outwork Brody. Brody builds outlaw carts.
- 1:21Jesus, that is not dirt, that's calluses.
- 1:27Maybe with some dirt mixed in it, some driving so hard.
- 1:31So anyway, Brody has fusion carts, that's the name of his
- 1:36company, and he builds go karts and he was a great mod racer
- 1:41too. But he decided to give up and
- 1:44pursue his dream. And he builds outlaw carts.
- 1:47He's good at it, but he's also an animal.
- 1:51So after Larry Hamilton called me this morning wondering how
- 1:55I'm doing, my mother called me, worried about me.
- 1:58Brody unloaded my race car this morning 'cause he felt bad for
- 2:03me, 'cause they all watch me go to these race tracks by myself
- 2:09and they're like, what the fuck is he doing?
- 2:13My mother says, can hunt. Quit.
- 2:16Quit trying to prove things to yourself.
- 2:17I said, mom, I'm not trying to prove anything to anybody.
- 2:21I'm like a little old lady that gets her hair done every
- 2:25Wednesday. I said I have repetition.
- 2:28I'm I'm, I'm repetitious. It means I do the same shit over
- 2:32and over. I get up and to keep myself
- 2:35busy, I go to the shop and I work on my race car.
- 2:40So I'm making this video because Larry Hamilton called me last
- 2:44night. No, this morning my mom called
- 2:48me and Brody unloaded my race car for me, washed it, is ready
- 2:53to fix it for me. Help me fix it.
- 2:57So I thought, OK, everybody needs to hear a debrief on the
- 3:04wreck. It's no secret that the the
- 3:07track was really rough last night.
- 3:10And here's the worst part. And when I wrecked, Kenny
- 3:16Schrader was standing right there, the owner of the
- 3:19racetrack, he was kind of smiling at me.
- 3:22The fans were yelling, Kenny, Kenny, Kenny.
- 3:28I'm like, what in the world? The art of wrecking is a little
- 3:32weird for me. Whenever I wreck, people want to
- 3:36talk to me as if nothing happens.
- 3:38But when I wreck, it fucking pisses me off.
- 3:41I don't like wrecking. You can see it in my face.
- 3:45I despise wrecking, so when I wreck, I don't want nobody to
- 3:50talk to me because I'm pissed. I am pissed.
- 3:56So Schrader looks at me and he teases me and I and I know
- 4:03Schrader is good as anybody. He's like, but you were driving
- 4:06so beautifully. I bought flipped.
- 4:10I bought flipped. So anyway, then I got the corner
- 4:14worker in my ear, just the sweetheart of a guy.
- 4:20Are you OK? Are you OK?
- 4:22I said look at me, look at me, I'm OK.
- 4:26I'm pissed, OK? I'm pissed but I'm OK.
- 4:31You know it's like when you have a bad race in your wreck and
- 4:34that corner worker comes up to you and just asks you 8 times
- 4:37and it's his job, it's his job, are you OK?
- 4:41Yes, I'm OK. Then he asked me a third time.
- 4:44I finally grabbed him real nice, put my arm around him.
- 4:47I said look at me, look at me. I'm good.
- 4:51I'm fucking pissed, OK. And then over here, I got these
- 4:54kids, like 20 of them, Kenny, Kenny, Kenny.
- 4:58I'm like, OK, I'll put that fire out now.
- 5:00I turn around. I wave to them all.
- 5:03I waved to them all. I kept waving, hey, I'm happy.
- 5:06I just got done wrecking. I'm so happy.
- 5:09My car's wrecked. Yay high.
- 5:12I gave them the attention they were looking for because they
- 5:14love me and I know they love me, but I'm not in a good mood, so
- 5:18it's very hard to act like everything's OK and be happy to
- 5:22everybody. So I wrecked, but everybody's
- 5:25still happy because they weren't in the race.
- 5:28I'm an entertainer. So the kids, the kids calm down.
- 5:32They went back to their seats. Schrader, he calmed down.
- 5:37The corner worker calm down. And I thought I had the fuse put
- 5:41out. And then Bobby Biddle's wife or
- 5:45or Biddle, Biddle, Biddle's of an official.
- 5:48Now he'll see this Biddle. Biddle was a great race car
- 5:52driver. So his wife looked at me and
- 5:54goes, what happened? I'm like, I I wrecked.
- 5:57Honey had a bad wreck. Are you OK now?
- 6:02She fits right in with the corner worker.
- 6:04I'm like, yes, I'm fine. Well, as long as you're OK.
- 6:08I said, yeah, I'm. I'm good.
- 6:12So that is a look inside what it's like to wreck as a Kenny
- 6:19Wallace. So when other people wreck, they
- 6:21just wreck and everybody ignores them.
- 6:23But when I wreck, it is a fucking firestorm.
- 6:29So here's how the wreck happened.
- 6:35We're coming to the green flag, the 2nd place carved.
- 6:38Danny M's breaks the drive shaft.
- 6:41We all pile in. Of course, listen to this.
- 6:45There's there's nothing wrong with my car.
- 6:46But what happens is when I when I get hit in the ass by Steve
- 6:50Baku, it's it spins me. The track was so soft.
- 6:53My right front dug in and the top of these spindles are really
- 6:57weak and it broke the spindle off.
- 7:00That's all there was to it. If the spindle don't break, all
- 7:03I do is put a reverse back up and I finish the race.
- 7:08You would be amazed. We run Pinto spindles.
- 7:10It's very embarrassing. We race Pinto spindles off of a
- 7:14Pinto Pinto. By the way, I want to dress
- 7:17something. It's going to be OK for whoever
- 7:21goes. Kenny, please quit using the F
- 7:23word. I'm going to use it, OK?
- 7:26I'm going to use it right now because it's the way it is.
- 7:29All right. I'm a good man.
- 7:30I love the Lord. I pray to the I pray to the
- 7:33Lord, but I'm going to use the F word every great once in awhile
- 7:36in the places that need to be used.
- 7:38OK, so you're just going to have to forgive me.
- 7:42So anyway, when the wreck happens, I don't run in it.
- 7:45Nobody, I don't hit anybody. The nose is still perfect.
- 7:50It breaks the top of the spindle off.
- 7:52So now it looks violent because the tires laying off.
- 7:57If that don't happen, I put it reverse.
- 7:59I back up, I finish the race, then the corner worker gets
- 8:05ready to take the goat the the tow truck and grab my bumper and
- 8:11like, no, no, that bumper's for looks.
- 8:14It's not real. You can't hit people nowadays
- 8:17with a bumper. Nobody's bumper on a modified
- 8:20reel because if you hit somebody, it bends the clip.
- 8:23So he's going to hook up to my bumper.
- 8:26I'm like, no, no. So I, I hook it up myself as the
- 8:32kids are going Kenny, Kenny. So I'm hooking it up myself.
- 8:37Of course this is pissing the tow truck people off because I'm
- 8:41hooking it up and when they when they lift it up, it does destroy
- 8:46the nose, but it don't RIP the nose off.
- 8:51So anyway, by the time the time that the car gets back to the
- 8:58pit area and of course when I wreck, it's a big deal and
- 9:05everybody was very nice. There were no hecklers actually
- 9:09when we got back to the pit area.
- 9:11I want to thank Rick Canoyer's team, the blonde haired guy.
- 9:15He's always nice to me. Respond right here.
- 9:18Rick, what's his name? Rick watches everything and so
- 9:21does Tracy. But that long blonde haired guy
- 9:25with Conoyer, he's a sweetheart. I really like him.
- 9:28And so Brody fixes it. By the way, the rear quarter
- 9:33panels on these cars are called stacked.
- 9:36They are what if, What if material are those made out?
- 9:40I have no idea, it's some composite but you can hit it
- 9:42with a sledgehammer and it just pops right back out.
- 9:44Yeah, so. So when the tow truck picks you
- 9:48up, the quarter panels bend, but then they just come right back
- 9:51out. So I can see where everybody was
- 9:53worried about me this morning. It was a shit show.
- 9:56It was a shit show, but everything's good.
- 10:02So where do we go from here? Well, we washed the car.
- 10:08Brody's kind of Brody was like, let's let's get ready to go.
- 10:13And I said, oh, the the racing gods.
- 10:16I said I had a bad race last night, a bad race last night.
- 10:19I said, I look, when Brody was fixing the car last night, I
- 10:23looked at Brody and went, I go into decompression mode when I
- 10:29have a bad wreck or something happens.
- 10:31I just get real quiet, real calm.
- 10:33I don't Rev my motor up. I don't run around in circles,
- 10:37just calm down. So anyway, everything is good.
- 10:43There is. And I'm honest when I say this,
- 10:48I'm just, we're going to, I'm going to go ahead and put
- 10:50everything new on the right front because I don't trust it.
- 10:54And, but everything is good and I feel like I need to give
- 11:01myself a couple days if to see if I'm going to run mod mania or
- 11:05not. I'm tired.
- 11:08And the reason I'm tired is because I tested the twin blade
- 11:13Willie's carburetor and I got home and I got to bed at 3:30 in
- 11:17the morning on Friday. And by the way, that that
- 11:19carburetor is a bad ass. Get ready.
- 11:21The show is coming out tomorrow, Monday.
- 11:25We're finally releasing Willie's carburetor.
- 11:29Oh, the lion just came up. Hey, Louis, watch out.
- 11:40All right, everybody. I'm good.
- 11:43I'm tired. That's all there is to it.
- 11:47And thank you, thank you. And thank you.
- 11:51Thank. You.
- 11:52You're. Awesome.
- 11:55All right, respond right here. Light me up with all your
- 11:59questions, Kenny. Kenny what?
