- 0:00Speaker 1: Hot, like a bullet flying too fast. I couldn't catch it.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Heart and the Casket. You always knew it. The starring role,
- 0:10Speaker 1: the main attraction, got cameras flashing. What else like ooh,
- 0:18Speaker 1: you got everybody's yeah? Is that that song that you've
- 0:21Speaker 1: been singing? Hands off, Gabriella, Gabriella, hands off, back off,
- 0:26Speaker 1: my fella, Gabriella, Back off, Gabrigella, Back off, my man, Gabrielle.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I have heard that song a lot in a little
- 0:35Speaker 1: ribon Reba MacIntyre has been on replay from the older one.
- 0:39Speaker 1: But either way, the boys you're hearing, it's me, it's man,
- 0:41Speaker 1: it's Beard Laws in the golden heavenly almost singing voice.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You heard briefly the one the only.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Bah that's up.
- 0:54Speaker 1: We didn't get those fifty thousand likes and views yet,
- 0:57Speaker 1: so you're still off camera, which is a shame, because
- 1:00Speaker 1: you are rocking some pac man attire, got the makeup
- 1:04Speaker 1: game frush. You're looking like six seven. I'm almost I
- 1:10Speaker 1: am pretty sick of that as well. What does six
- 1:12Speaker 1: to seven mean from a girl who's in the grade four?
- 1:17Speaker 2: Don't know?
- 1:18Speaker 1: You have no idea.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Nobody knows. Somebody knows No, it's just the person who knows.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Nobody else knows, So why do you say it? What
- 1:25Speaker 1: if it means a bad word? What if it does
- 1:28Speaker 1: you don't know, nobody knows what it means. What if
- 1:30Speaker 1: it really at the end of the day, the person
- 1:31Speaker 1: that knows what it means was like, it's a bad word.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It's a bad thing, and you're just going around going
- 1:37Speaker 1: six seven.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Well, everybody's doing it, Nah, not everybody.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You think I'm doing it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: You just did it. You've been doing it every day
- 1:47Speaker 2: and you're like, oh, it's like a stout, like six seven, because.
- 1:52Speaker 1: My goal as a dad is to make it so
- 1:56Speaker 1: I can use it properly. And it's not cool, and
- 1:59Speaker 1: it's somewhat annoying, and it's starting to work with Avery.
- 2:02Speaker 1: She has not been saying that she's annoyed with it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I don't think Sissy's overly like pumped about it, but
- 2:09Speaker 1: I feel like you and I feel like your teacher
- 2:10Speaker 1: would love it if you stopped right class.
- 2:13Speaker 2: She told us to turn the sick page because she'll
- 2:16Speaker 2: ever go one, two, three, like if the page stop,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and then she went turning to pitch six seven and
- 2:23Speaker 2: we all go six said and at the same time
- 2:27Speaker 2: it was crazy.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Wait did you get Wait? Shout out to the teacher
- 2:30Speaker 1: for adapt and getting you at least to pay attention
- 2:33Speaker 1: for pages six and seven. Yeah, unbelieving.
- 2:37Speaker 2: We all turned to it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Crazy, But Eila, we have a pretty cool episode today.
- 2:42Speaker 1: We're going to talk about the scream board game that
- 2:46Speaker 1: we played that was so fun. We're going to talk
- 2:49Speaker 1: about the Otter Pop and the flavors that was the
- 2:52Speaker 1: first Otter Pops you had yesterday, Right, they were good.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk
- 2:56Speaker 1: about your Halloween costume. We last week we were thinking
- 3:01Speaker 1: about it. Did we go original? Did we not? Later
- 3:03Speaker 1: in this episode, Ila is going to reveal what she
- 3:07Speaker 1: is going to be for Halloween, and nobody else in
- 3:08Speaker 1: the world knows it except for the people in this house.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And you are going to know this in a couple
- 3:14Speaker 1: of minutes. And we went out to eat somewhere. We're
- 3:15Speaker 1: going to give a full review of that, right, and
- 3:19Speaker 1: then at the end, if we do have time, I
- 3:21Speaker 1: got a couple of nineties trivia questions that we're going
- 3:24Speaker 1: to see if Isila can answer because she's in de soul. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was going to make it a contest to see
- 3:30Speaker 1: who could get them right, and then the winner got
- 3:32Speaker 1: an otter pop. But but join us, No, no, I
- 3:37Speaker 1: was going to go me versus you. But I was
- 3:39Speaker 1: going to I was gonna beat you.
- 3:41Speaker 2: So it's Avery would be joining us today, she's just
- 3:44Speaker 2: taking a shower.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, at the time of the recording, we're getting ramped up.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We got a busy week. Monday, the team that I
- 3:51Speaker 1: have has basketball, Isla and Sissy have a day. Meg
- 3:56Speaker 1: has to work the full day. Avery's got a full day.
- 3:58Speaker 1: But then you have practice, Sissy has practice. It's a
- 4:02Speaker 1: busy day. And then the team that I'm coaching, we
- 4:04Speaker 1: gotta go for an away game Tuesday. Not only does
- 4:08Speaker 1: Sissy have a soccer game in one place, Avery has
- 4:11Speaker 1: a soccer game. Thankfully it's the same place that Isla
- 4:14Speaker 1: has a basketball game. Wednesday. The team I coach has
- 4:17Speaker 1: two games Thursday, all three of them. We've got basketball,
- 4:21Speaker 1: two soccer games. It's pure chaos this week. But after
- 4:25Speaker 1: this week, soccer's done for Avery, Sissy's going to be
- 4:28Speaker 1: in playoffs, and then we got a couple more weeks
- 4:31Speaker 1: in some basketball and we can kind of take.
- 4:33Speaker 2: A little bit of a breath and breathe.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But busy, busy week. So what do you think we
- 4:38Speaker 1: should we jump into this before you decide that you're
- 4:40Speaker 1: gonna run out, try to find my otter pops in
- 4:43Speaker 1: the freezer, and try to steal some food out of
- 4:45Speaker 1: our bridge, because we got some good stuff. We've got
- 4:48Speaker 1: some we got some leftovers from our special dinner.
- 4:50Speaker 2: But let's let's kick that A secret.
- 4:53Speaker 1: A secret secret, I got a secret. Let's go with
- 4:56Speaker 1: the board game. Why don't we start there? It's spooky seasons,
- 4:59Speaker 1: also Breastcancer Awareness Day, the pink Out games. We got
- 5:01Speaker 1: the pink lights in the background for a whole month
- 5:03Speaker 1: of October. So if you are watching this, yeah, we
- 5:05Speaker 1: recorded this in October, and you're seeing some things. Those
- 5:08Speaker 1: are man these bats? How cool? Are these bats?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Really awesome?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we haven't showed them, but it's okay. And then
- 5:13Speaker 1: obviously all the friends of the show look at this,
- 5:15Speaker 1: this right here that I'm pointing pointing to. It is
- 5:19Speaker 1: the second book of the Mister Whiskerwitz series that's gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: be released when Isila.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I don't know, you don't remember.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You say it all al though?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Eleven eleven make a wish?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yeah, put this on your wish list. Yeah, yeah, eleven
- 5:33Speaker 1: eleven put it on your wish Let's mister Whiskerwitz. Book
- 5:37Speaker 1: number two will be available on Amazon. Go check it out.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And then I put out a little coaching book. Not
- 5:42Speaker 1: every kid goes pro I feel like there's a lot
- 5:44Speaker 1: of people around that need to read this. But either way,
- 5:47Speaker 1: let's jump into the scream Board game. Because I'm me
- 5:50Speaker 1: gonna be honest with you. It was something I thought, honestly,
- 5:54Speaker 1: it was gonna be kind of one of those cheesy, boring,
- 5:58Speaker 1: just movie spin off games, but it ended up being
- 6:02Speaker 1: pretty fun once we figured out how to play it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It was pure chaos. And I think anytime not only
- 6:08Speaker 1: a parent, but people try a game for the for
- 6:12Speaker 1: the very first time, it's a little complex, it's a
- 6:15Speaker 1: little confusing. There's a lot of rules, and when kids
- 6:17Speaker 1: are explaining the rules to parents, let's be honest, sometimes
- 6:20Speaker 1: you guys get a little spassy. And there was just
- 6:22Speaker 1: a lot of like, you gotta do this, you gotta
- 6:24Speaker 1: do this. So I just said, hey, let's just get
- 6:27Speaker 1: into it. Let's just try it learn on the fly.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And we didn't win as a group, did we? Why
- 6:32Speaker 1: don't you give the viewers, give the listeners a description
- 6:35Speaker 1: of the game in your opinion as a as a
- 6:39Speaker 1: kid in grade four of the scream board game card game?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Was it? Is it a card game or it's a
- 6:45Speaker 1: card game?
- 6:45Speaker 2: A board game and a card game?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Was so, I guess it's a board game. Well, board
- 6:52Speaker 1: games have cards like Monopoly and stuff.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I know, but it's like boards. Tiny morning if.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You morning, hold on, you have to get to do it.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And warning warning if you were a listeners and game player,
- 7:03Speaker 1: discretion advised or something.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Warning if you no no.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Sound sound tougher, more radioish, more polished, seasoned veteran, go
- 7:15Speaker 1: warning sounds the same. All right, If that's that's your move,
- 7:18Speaker 1: go for it.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Warning if you're like really really like screamish, or you
- 7:23Speaker 2: don't like intense stuff, very like you don't like intense stuff, you.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Don't like camping intents, No, if.
- 7:31Speaker 2: You don't like intent and you don't like very scary stuff,
- 7:35Speaker 2: I do not recommend this game.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Okay, why's that?
- 7:39Speaker 2: Because it's very very stressful. You have to move very quickly,
- 7:44Speaker 2: and you have to you can't mess up or else
- 7:47Speaker 2: it's going well. You you can't like if you accidentally
- 7:50Speaker 2: move like your car bumps off the table, then it's
- 7:54Speaker 2: it's gonna ruin the game because you have to go
- 7:56Speaker 2: really really fast quickly a move. Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Now, if in your recommendation, what would be the youngest
- 8:04Speaker 1: age that you think would be appropriate to play this game?
- 8:07Speaker 2: This is hard because it depends on what kind of person.
- 8:12Speaker 1: True just average. I mean, like you're nine, Do you
- 8:15Speaker 1: think that's the perfect game?
- 8:16Speaker 2: The box it says eighteen, but I think like about
- 8:21Speaker 2: nine or eight. Do not recommend like five or six?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Well, obviously no, because let's be honest. The movie Scream.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Have you you've never seen the movie Scream? Yeah, it's
- 8:30Speaker 1: very scary, though you have seen or you have not.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I have not seen it, but I've heard of that
- 8:35Speaker 2: it's very, very very scary.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a horror movie. So in your opinion,
- 8:39Speaker 1: what is a horror movie?
- 8:41Speaker 2: It's where like sometimes there's blood and like it's very
- 8:45Speaker 2: very it's usually rated PG thirteen.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I think it's probably rated.
- 8:51Speaker 2: R rated R and you or sometimes even PG thirteen
- 8:57Speaker 2: you like it has a lot of blood scenes and
- 9:02Speaker 2: it's just very very scary, like scary characters and stuff
- 9:08Speaker 2: and like they're getting hunted or something like that. But
- 9:12Speaker 2: I think that the game overall is very, very fun.
- 9:14Speaker 2: So there's a blood a Drip of Blood DVD and
- 9:19Speaker 2: it has the word stab. Yeah, and there's a telephone
- 9:25Speaker 2: and keys and popcorn.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Don't forget the popcorn.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And there's a board and a little fake knife and
- 9:33Speaker 2: you're passing it around the table. But you have to
- 9:37Speaker 2: make a movie either draw.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Draw trade or I think it No. Yeah, you just
- 9:44Speaker 1: draw your trade when it's your turn, yep.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And you have to move very very quickly, and if
- 9:49Speaker 2: you don't do it quickly, then it's gonna run the
- 9:53Speaker 2: whole game because you're on a timer and you have
- 9:56Speaker 2: to get this app on your phone. Sometimes it's not
- 9:58Speaker 2: like actually, but it's probably like AI or something. Screen
- 10:03Speaker 2: calls you and.
- 10:05Speaker 1: No, So what it is is the app you program
- 10:08Speaker 1: the players' names.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the voice.
- 10:12Speaker 1: No, that's it's a voice from the movie. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 1: so it's from the movie. And again you haven't seen
- 10:16Speaker 1: the movie. It's okay, So it's the voice from the movie,
- 10:19Speaker 1: like do you water play you? No, that's that's saw
- 10:23Speaker 1: never mind, that was a different one, but it's the
- 10:25Speaker 1: voice from the movie. I'm not a I'm not an
- 10:26Speaker 1: I don't do impressions, right, but either way, you have
- 10:29Speaker 1: it there, they call through, you get the cards. You
- 10:31Speaker 1: have to accomplish random things so randomly they they more
- 10:35Speaker 1: or less have a pre program script. So next thing
- 10:38Speaker 1: you know, it's like, I'm in this and I don't
- 10:40Speaker 1: want to give too much way because I think people
- 10:42Speaker 1: and families would really enjoy playing this game around the
- 10:44Speaker 1: holidays eight or nine and older. Warning, I let hit
- 10:48Speaker 1: you with the warning. So it's okay, but just random
- 10:51Speaker 1: scripts and you have to do tasks. And like I said,
- 10:52Speaker 1: we're not gonna give too much a way. But as
- 10:54Speaker 1: you get in the moment because you have to work
- 10:56Speaker 1: as a team, you don't have to. It's not one winner.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You just have to more or less. Because this is
- 11:01Speaker 1: a horror movie. This is screaming in the movie Scream,
- 11:03Speaker 1: you know what that person does that character, Yeah, what
- 11:06Speaker 1: does he do in the movie?
- 11:07Speaker 2: He goes around trying to get and the murders people.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so in this game.
- 11:13Speaker 2: There's a board and it has mocker House hunts.
- 11:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, we're not giving away with details. It's okay,
- 11:19Speaker 1: but what I'm saying, so in the game, he tries
- 11:21Speaker 1: to do what he's in the movie, and he tries
- 11:24Speaker 1: to kill you off in the game, eliminate you from
- 11:26Speaker 1: the game, right, And if you're eliminated, then you're out
- 11:29Speaker 1: and you can't play. But you have to work as
- 11:31Speaker 1: a team to make sure you save your friends and
- 11:34Speaker 1: your family and everything in the game. And we played
- 11:36Speaker 1: it twice and we were able to make it so
- 11:39Speaker 1: nobody was eliminated in the game. But at the end
- 11:42Speaker 1: of the day, in the first one, we didn't accomplish
- 11:44Speaker 1: all the tasks. We lost. But on a second run,
- 11:48Speaker 1: we were focused. Myself actually kind of figured out how
- 11:51Speaker 1: to play the game and we won. We've done it
- 11:54Speaker 1: and it was fun. I mean, anytime, let's be honest,
- 11:57Speaker 1: whether it's scream, whether it's whatever, anytime the five of
- 11:59Speaker 1: us have time to because our time is we live
- 12:03Speaker 1: a very crazy life. But anytime the five of us
- 12:05Speaker 1: willingly all of us want to sit down and play
- 12:08Speaker 1: a game and have fun. Like to a parent, it
- 12:11Speaker 1: means the world to us, like so cool to have
- 12:13Speaker 1: us all we are giggling, we were smiling. Where sisters fighting, Yeah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: but sisters that's what they do, they fight, so yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But again, if you're into mystery prepy spooky ten out
- 12:29Speaker 1: of ten recommend And it's kind of cool because Avery
- 12:32Speaker 1: and her friends when we were on a basketball trip,
- 12:35Speaker 1: they want enough tickets from an arcade to buy the
- 12:39Speaker 1: Scream game. They work together, and teamwork makes the dream work.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Right and the game.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So yeah, if you're looking for Halloween kind of game
- 12:48Speaker 1: night that mixes what fun a little bit of trauma,
- 12:52Speaker 1: this is the one. If you could rank it one
- 12:55Speaker 1: out of ten, use decimals. We don't want a rookie.
- 12:59Speaker 1: What was you writing?
- 13:00Speaker 2: I had a lot of fun. I honestly thought it
- 13:04Speaker 2: was a very, very very fun game. I'm going to
- 13:07Speaker 2: rate a nine point five rookie score.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with a six point seven six.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I told you he does it, all right.
- 13:17Speaker 1: So while we were playing the board game, I was like,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you know what I just want. I'm craving something. We
- 13:22Speaker 1: had a long day, all right. So for anybody that
- 13:25Speaker 1: doesn't know, we live in a country, right, and country
- 13:28Speaker 1: houses have what is well that's how we get our water.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It's whether a well casing that goes deep deep down
- 13:34Speaker 1: to the water, or old school places sometimes just have
- 13:38Speaker 1: a not a hand dug well. But you know, like
- 13:40Speaker 1: the circle the rock one. We were trying to put
- 13:43Speaker 1: our hot tub out for the season because it's been
- 13:45Speaker 1: pretty cold. We started to fill up the hot tub
- 13:47Speaker 1: in it our water stopped working and come to find out,
- 13:51Speaker 1: our well went dry. It's super super super dry where
- 13:54Speaker 1: we are, burn bands and effect the whole everything. There's
- 13:57Speaker 1: just when's the last time that you've seen it rain?
- 14:00Speaker 1: It feels like a few months ago. We're supposed to
- 14:02Speaker 1: get a lot of rain this week, which is unfortunate
- 14:03Speaker 1: because of the last week of soccer. But anyways, we
- 14:05Speaker 1: haven't had rain in a while, which means if there's
- 14:07Speaker 1: no rain, the ground is dry. If you have it well,
- 14:09Speaker 1: sometimes it comes out there. Shout out Lisbon Fire Department,
- 14:12Speaker 1: we're hooking us up. Came right over within probably fifteen
- 14:15Speaker 1: minutes of a phone call, filled up the tanker two
- 14:17Speaker 1: thousand gallons, put it in the well. We were able
- 14:20Speaker 1: to go through prime the pump, get it going. We
- 14:23Speaker 1: got water today, don't we kid?
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yes we do.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Oh, it's been a battle. But while all that was
- 14:28Speaker 1: going on, we decided to have game night and I
- 14:31Speaker 1: was working pretty hard trying to get a water back.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I said, you know what, I just want to I
- 14:35Speaker 1: want an otter Pop. I'm I love these otter pops.
- 14:40Speaker 1: The girls were like, what, I don't want one of
- 14:42Speaker 1: those plane freeze pops. I'm like, all right, whatever, that's fine,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's cool you don't want one. But then all of
- 14:49Speaker 1: a sudden, everybody wanted one. And when we do freeze pops.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I came up with a game years ago for you guys, didn't.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I I three when we first moved, you started.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And what's the game? Describe him? Because it's pretty fun.
- 15:03Speaker 1: It's it's a game to decide who gets what flavor
- 15:08Speaker 1: Freeze pop or in this case, otter Pop. Because let's
- 15:10Speaker 1: be honest, everybody always fights over which one? Yeah, which
- 15:13Speaker 1: one the blue? Everybody wants to bloom, but there's not.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Why don't they make otter Pop all.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Blues because people fight over them?
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but if they made a case and a pack
- 15:23Speaker 1: with only the blues, they would run out so quickly,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you think, so, yeah, well then everybody else would miss
- 15:30Speaker 1: out on these. So anyways, sorry, guys, sidetracked, How do
- 15:34Speaker 1: we determine who gets what?
- 15:37Speaker 2: So last night we all wanted the same one and
- 15:42Speaker 2: there was only one, so we played the game. But
- 15:45Speaker 2: we came up like he said, years ago, we came
- 15:50Speaker 2: up with this game, and we do it with normal
- 15:53Speaker 2: freeze pops, any kind of freeze pops, we do it.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And so you take your hides the popsicles behind his back.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm the hider of the popsicles.
- 16:04Speaker 2: And he holds them in one hand, and then he
- 16:06Speaker 2: holds up a few a number, and then if you
- 16:09Speaker 2: guess the number correctly, one through five, then you got
- 16:13Speaker 2: to do it. Redo it if you don't want that fun.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Imagine if I had you guess one through seven with
- 16:17Speaker 1: one hand, you would do six. How would I do six?
- 16:23Speaker 2: Because six seven?
- 16:25Speaker 1: But I only have five fingers anyway, Sorry, sorry, bad
- 16:28Speaker 1: dad joke, keep going. She would she would, No, he would.
- 16:33Speaker 2: So then if you were to want it, you would,
- 16:38Speaker 2: you would if you guess the number correct correctly. Push
- 16:44Speaker 2: ups you can get you do it like if I
- 16:48Speaker 2: don't personally I don't like orange.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yep solutely. So they're behind my back. Who either close
- 16:54Speaker 1: your eyes, we blindfold or whatever they pick up they
- 16:56Speaker 1: pick a freeze pop and all of a sudden they
- 16:57Speaker 1: reveal it. It's orange. I don't like it. But we've
- 17:00Speaker 1: also not only have we done push ups, not only
- 17:02Speaker 1: have done the guests number. Remember when you used to
- 17:04Speaker 1: have to run around the house, right, Remember that before
- 17:08Speaker 1: we had the fence for the dogs, you had to
- 17:09Speaker 1: run around the house. And you're like, I'll run around
- 17:11Speaker 1: the house for another guess.
- 17:13Speaker 2: We did it like five. I did it once five times.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I remember it because I kept on getting orange. I'm like, okay,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I'm done with this, and then I took the orange.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Yeah. So do you remember all of the flavors in
- 17:26Speaker 1: the and or the potential names of the otter pops?
- 17:28Speaker 2: I don't know the names, but I know the flavors.
- 17:31Speaker 1: What you got.
- 17:31Speaker 2: There was a strawberry, a strawberry shortcake one. There was
- 17:34Speaker 2: a lime one, a blueberry one, well that's what you said.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It was blueberry, but it was blue raspberry, orange one
- 17:42Speaker 2: which was like orange, Well it was orange. And there
- 17:46Speaker 2: was like this fruit punch one. And then you said
- 17:48Speaker 2: there was a grape one that you guys ate and
- 17:51Speaker 2: that's it.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Well there must be one more because you had one.
- 17:55Speaker 1: What was the one you had?
- 17:56Speaker 2: I said lime?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Oh did you okay? Sorry? So the flavors the aridge six?
- 18:01Speaker 1: Do air quotes for me? You know what air quotes are, like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: do you don't know what air quotes are you do
- 18:05Speaker 1: let me see. Okay, yeah, she did this, all right,
- 18:07Speaker 1: but you do them with both hands. The original six,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I don't know what that voice. We'll sorry about that
- 18:13Speaker 1: is Louis blue Raspberry for blue raspberry, Awberry.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Short but stubby shortcake.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Pancho Punch, Lexander the grape, which didn't get in the mix. No, no, no,
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm saying that, but I'm telling you the names of
- 18:31Speaker 1: Alexander the grape, which there wasn't a grape. Last I
- 18:35Speaker 1: really liked the grape, so there's a potential. I mitas
- 18:38Speaker 1: not some grapes, but I'll check tonight, all right, sir
- 18:41Speaker 1: isaac Lyme, that's what you had. And little orphan orange.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Those are I guess yep, which is Anita fruit punch,
- 18:49Speaker 1: Major Mango Cosmic Coconut, and DJ oh no, these are
- 18:53Speaker 1: the other ones. There was a variety. Okay, so there's
- 18:55Speaker 1: also Anita fruit Punch, Major Mango, Cosmic Coconut, and d
- 19:00Speaker 1: Day Tropic Cool.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Of those four, I want to try that now.
- 19:05Speaker 1: The flavor ones I'm trying to tell you, so the
- 19:07Speaker 1: DJ Tropic Cool is pineapple. The things would you you
- 19:12Speaker 1: don't like pineapple, do you do? I love pineapple, and
- 19:15Speaker 1: cosmic coconut is obviously well coconut major mango mango, and
- 19:20Speaker 1: the other one is tropical punch, So the only one
- 19:23Speaker 1: I have any interest in trying. And they're they're the
- 19:25Speaker 1: they're they're colored. Where the Otter pops that we have
- 19:28Speaker 1: they're all the same because it's juice pops.
- 19:31Speaker 2: The one thing that is good about these pops that
- 19:33Speaker 2: we got we get these for a certain reason why
- 19:37Speaker 2: they don't have dye in them, so they look like
- 19:42Speaker 2: they're the same, but they're not. They have flavoring, but
- 19:46Speaker 2: they don't have dye because dye is very bad for you.
- 19:49Speaker 1: It's not great for you. I mean it's not like
- 19:50Speaker 1: too too bad. Anything's all right in moderation. But yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: for so, because they're the biggest thing for me is
- 19:55Speaker 1: I like that they're all fruit like fruit juice instead
- 19:59Speaker 1: of you know, pretty much like flavor like a snow cone.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Know when you get a snow cone and they just
- 20:02Speaker 1: pump the sugar syrup. This one's at least juice. I'm
- 20:05Speaker 1: not saying there that they're super healthy for you. If
- 20:07Speaker 1: you eat a bunch of Otter pops, you're healthy, but
- 20:10Speaker 1: they taste good and I personally like them a little
- 20:13Speaker 1: bit better, having the real juice rather than the high
- 20:16Speaker 1: fruit toast corn syrup.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And I also think that it's kind of creative that
- 20:23Speaker 2: they used little characters because if you popped up like
- 20:28Speaker 2: a picture on your phone or something, there's Tarafters.
- 20:31Speaker 1: For these people, there is which they're really cool.
- 20:34Speaker 2: They're really cool, and they also taste so good. I
- 20:39Speaker 2: honestly love them.
- 20:40Speaker 1: So are you officially sponsored by No, we are not
- 20:45Speaker 1: that be cool, but we are not sponsored by any means.
- 20:49Speaker 1: But what I'm saying is, are you officially converted? You
- 20:51Speaker 1: will choose Otter Pops over anybody else. So remember when
- 20:55Speaker 1: we went to the softball tournament and there was those big,
- 20:57Speaker 1: big long freeze pops? Yes, those were they were. They
- 21:01Speaker 1: make the huge long ones too. Yeah, I just didn't
- 21:03Speaker 1: buy them because we didn't have as much storage space.
- 21:07Speaker 1: But yeah, hey those are So are you Otter Pop?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Are you team Freeze Pop?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:13Speaker 1: So how about this. Anybody that's listening, anybody that's watching,
- 21:18Speaker 1: comment when when do you want them to comment?
- 21:21Speaker 2: When? Tomorrow? When this is post?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Okay, so well, at the time they're listening to this,
- 21:26Speaker 1: do you want them to comment right now or wait
- 21:28Speaker 1: a day to say if thirteen free Pop or team.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Team out Pop as soon as they see it.
- 21:32Speaker 1: As soon as they see it, let us know which
- 21:34Speaker 1: one you are, and yeah, we're gonna, we're gonna get
- 21:37Speaker 1: on the amazons. I have a feeling that you guys
- 21:39Speaker 1: are gonna. Is there a better combo eating a freeze
- 21:42Speaker 1: pop and hot soup? No, that's pretty good.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Right, yeah, because then you feel cold on the inside
- 21:49Speaker 2: but ho on the outside.
- 21:51Speaker 1: If you had to guess, all right, when we're otter
- 21:55Speaker 1: Pops originally released year, I need a year to now
- 22:00Speaker 1: what twenty twenty five? What year do you think they were?
- 22:04Speaker 1: Or at least how many years ago?
- 22:07Speaker 2: It was eighteen something something.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I know it was in the eighteen You would think
- 22:11Speaker 1: it was eighteen something something told me that I didn't. No, eighty,
- 22:16Speaker 1: we gonna switched up to nineteen eighty, did a lot
- 22:19Speaker 1: of difference. Nimas old and she wasn't even around in
- 22:25Speaker 1: the eighteen hundreds. Great grandma who's ninety wasn't around in
- 22:30Speaker 1: the eighteen hundred. That's a long time ago. In nineteen
- 22:33Speaker 1: eighty final answer, you are wrong. It was nineteen seventy
- 22:40Speaker 1: was created by the company National Packs. They were introduced
- 22:44Speaker 1: as a competitor to the Freeze Pops like flavor Us
- 22:49Speaker 1: you were Yeah nineteen seventy. Flavor Ice came out in
- 22:52Speaker 1: nineteen sixty nine. Currently, the jel Cirt Company took over
- 22:56Speaker 1: the rights and bought Otter Pops in nineteen ninety six.
- 23:00Speaker 1: That was a great year ninety six. All right, let's
- 23:04Speaker 1: keep this moving because we are almost out of time.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Let's reveal last week if you want to, you can
- 23:10Speaker 1: go and listen. And we were talking about original costume,
- 23:13Speaker 1: something different, and Aila has made a final decision. Costume
- 23:16Speaker 1: is in and you have yourself a Halloween costume. I
- 23:20Speaker 1: do dude, I love it? Do you?
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yes? Absolutely love it.
- 23:25Speaker 1: What are you going to be for Halloween?
- 23:29Speaker 2: I Am going to be? Drumroll?
- 23:32Speaker 1: Drumb Do I have an actual drum ro? Hold on?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Hold on, let me see if I can come up
- 23:37Speaker 1: with an actual drum roll? Here, ladies and gentlemen, ready,
- 23:43Speaker 1: when should I do the drum roll?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Right now?
- 23:46Speaker 1: You have I don't know if the drum roll worked. Okay,
- 23:52Speaker 1: what is it going to be? Just in case it
- 23:53Speaker 1: didn't work? I don't think it works. Sorry, I was
- 23:55Speaker 1: trying to be fancy on a podcast, doing a fancy
- 23:57Speaker 1: drum roll. Ladies and gentlemen, what are you going to
- 24:00Speaker 1: be for Halloween?
- 24:00Speaker 2: Dude, I'm gonna be a The Girl who Got Rainbow Stripes.
- 24:07Speaker 2: If you don't know what that is. It's a kid's
- 24:09Speaker 2: book that I loved when I was younger. I am
- 24:14Speaker 2: not going to say in my childhood because I was
- 24:16Speaker 2: younger and I'm still in my childhood.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I was gonna say, yah, you're still pretty young, but yeah, yeah, And.
- 24:20Speaker 2: When I was younger, I used to read that book
- 24:22Speaker 2: every night.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's wait wait wait, wait, wait wait wait. You used
- 24:27Speaker 1: to read the book every night, or the book was
- 24:29Speaker 1: read to you every night when you were younger.
- 24:30Speaker 2: I read it and then my mom read it to
- 24:33Speaker 2: me at night. I read it twice a day and
- 24:35Speaker 2: one more time.
- 24:36Speaker 1: What was it?
- 24:37Speaker 2: The Girl who Got Rainbow Stripes because she didn't eat
- 24:40Speaker 2: enough green beans? She got rainbow stripes? Did you kind
- 24:44Speaker 2: of go to school because she was sick? And I
- 24:46Speaker 2: have a thermometer that's going with it. It's so cool.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's fitting because you haven't ate any green
- 24:52Speaker 1: beans as well, so you are going to turn into
- 24:56Speaker 1: the Girl who Got Rainbow Stripes. Do you know the
- 24:59Speaker 1: name of the girl in the book. You need to
- 25:01Speaker 1: know this. It's Camellia Cream.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say Camelia.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Kamelia Cream. And it's a it's from the book
- 25:08Speaker 1: A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon. Yeah, she no,
- 25:14Speaker 1: And it was Lima beans, not green beans. Lima beans
- 25:18Speaker 1: a B C and disgusting. Green beans are good. Lima
- 25:21Speaker 1: beans yuck. So yeah, be on the lookout, check out
- 25:26Speaker 1: A bad Case of the stripes, Badcase of Stripes, David,
- 25:30Speaker 1: Way to do it. Love the Halloween Castle. It's gonna
- 25:33Speaker 1: look amazing, And I think it's gonna be super original.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I mean because every year when you got nobody's.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Gonna be like, everybody's gonna be like, like my age,
- 25:41Speaker 2: everybody's gonna be like, who even what are you even
- 25:45Speaker 2: dressed up as? Like, yeah, my child's favorite.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Book Camelia Cream, You know what I mean. In a
- 25:54Speaker 1: world of witches, in a world of stranger things, in
- 25:57Speaker 1: a world of six sevens and everything else, there's going
- 26:00Speaker 1: to be a lot of duplicate costumes where you just
- 26:02Speaker 1: go to the Halloween Store or Spirit Halloween, you pick
- 26:04Speaker 1: a costume. There's a chance somebody else already got it.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I absolutely love that you went with something a little
- 26:10Speaker 1: bit more original. Thank you.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I think there's going to be so many for us guys,
- 26:14Speaker 2: because if you don't, I said this last podcast. She
- 26:18Speaker 2: is a very famous girl right now. So is Malachabartan.
- 26:21Speaker 2: They played in Zombies four Dawn of the Damp, I
- 26:24Speaker 2: met the vampires.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Gotcha?
- 26:28Speaker 2: That almost came out as.
- 26:29Speaker 1: It almost came out as a bad word. Yeah, it's okay,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but good safe. By the way, it.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Was very, very very good. I think it is very good.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So we are pretty much at the end of the podcast.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Do you want to crush through in nineties trivia?
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 26:46Speaker 1: And do you want to save the review of the
- 26:49Speaker 1: food the place that we ate for next week?
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yes?
- 26:52Speaker 1: All right, so you'll either will remember that we ate
- 26:54Speaker 1: at the Old Smokehouse and our food was fantastic. Let's
- 26:58Speaker 1: let's just say five people walked into restaurant and there
- 27:03Speaker 1: was one little to go box. That's how good the
- 27:06Speaker 1: food was. Service amazing, food amazing, atmosphere amazing. It was
- 27:14Speaker 1: really good.
- 27:14Speaker 2: And there was nobody else there.
- 27:16Speaker 1: We had the place to ourselves except for law. Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 1: There was one person there, but he anyways, he was chilling,
- 27:25Speaker 1: chill in all right, nineties trivia times? You ready? I
- 27:28Speaker 1: got a five question multiple choice and then we're gonna
- 27:31Speaker 1: get out of here, all right? Number one? And as
- 27:33Speaker 1: always what we do at the end of the episode,
- 27:35Speaker 1: we go in. I say, Meg, you got to take
- 27:38Speaker 1: it and see if you can beat Ailah. Do you
- 27:39Speaker 1: think she'll beat you? Let's see who was the name
- 27:44Speaker 1: of the purple dinosaur? Who sang I love you, you love me?
- 27:49Speaker 2: There's a remix of it, and I know who it is.
- 27:51Speaker 2: It's Barney.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I was gonna say, you didn't even need multiple choice.
- 27:55Speaker 2: There was a remix. Somebody did a remix and I
- 27:58Speaker 2: don't think it's very nice.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Hello, we gotta go rapid fire because we're at the
- 28:03Speaker 1: end of the episode. Berney, you're one for one. Congratulations
- 28:06Speaker 1: Question number two? Are you ready?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Which nineties toy grew green hair when you watered it?
- 28:13Speaker 1: Do you want? It's? Multiple choice?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Multiple choice? Please?
- 28:16Speaker 1: Was it Ferbie Chia pet?
- 28:19Speaker 2: I even had that in my.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Brain, tamagotchi or Beanie Baby.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I know it wasn't an atomagotchi because I have one
- 28:26Speaker 2: of those.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Okay, you don't want to water that, right, No.
- 28:29Speaker 2: It will ruin it.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Okay, Beanie Baby, Beanie Baby, So when you water it, it
- 28:35Speaker 1: grows green hair. Final answer Farbie.
- 28:39Speaker 2: No, because Ferbie has a bunch of color. I'm gonna
- 28:41Speaker 2: go be Anie Baby.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Benie Baby. Final answer.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Furby. What was the second one?
- 28:49Speaker 1: Chia pet? You know those two things that we have
- 28:52Speaker 1: in the ketchen of David Hasselhoff, and I forget the
- 28:56Speaker 1: other one.
- 28:57Speaker 2: That's what it is.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Yeah, So what it is is you have seeds, they're
- 28:59Speaker 1: actual plant seeds, and you water them every day and
- 29:02Speaker 1: then it comes out as green hair.
- 29:05Speaker 2: We have one and it literally we're not gonna use
- 29:08Speaker 2: it though, because that was very very old and it's
- 29:10Speaker 2: a very collectible. But it would be cool and and
- 29:13Speaker 2: it grows it maybe we'll bust it out.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Maybe we'll bust down just growing so you can see it.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It has his face and then its hair just grow.
- 29:21Speaker 1: David hassel Off, You don't know, David Hasseloff, No, unreal?
- 29:24Speaker 2: All right?
- 29:25Speaker 1: Question number three, what was the portable CD player that
- 29:29Speaker 1: everyone in the nice head? Was it a discman, B walkman,
- 29:36Speaker 1: C boombox, D shuffle pod?
- 29:40Speaker 2: Wait? Was it small?
- 29:42Speaker 1: It was a portable CD player.
- 29:44Speaker 2: That every wasn't a boom box because those things are big.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Okay, there's there's one gun in your bi Discman, Walkman
- 29:52Speaker 1: or shuffle pod. If you don't think boombox.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I don't think it's a shuffle pod.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Okay, so you're on a Discman, Discman and Walkman discmand.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Final answer, Yes, that answer is ding ding d correct.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I knew it.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yes, if you ever had a Discman, which you probably have,
- 30:12Speaker 1: probably remember the pain of its skipping every time you
- 30:14Speaker 1: hit a bump in the car. So congratulations, you are
- 30:17Speaker 1: too right. One wrong? Question number four, which cartoon featured
- 30:23Speaker 1: a genius kid with a secret lab? Was it a
- 30:28Speaker 1: rug Rats B Doug C. Dexter's laboratory or d Recess?
- 30:36Speaker 2: I think it was. I think it was.
- 30:40Speaker 1: It was only four Yeah, four ABC or D multiple.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna read them one more time. Was it Rugrats,
- 30:47Speaker 1: Doug Dexter's Laboratory or.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Recess Dexter's Laboratory.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Final answer, Yeah, that answer is correct dinging.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I think I know what he looks like to I've
- 31:00Speaker 2: seen it.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Did he get out of my laboratory?
- 31:03Speaker 2: I've seen it.
- 31:04Speaker 1: It's so good, right, it's so good. So you are
- 31:09Speaker 1: three right, one wrong? Can you go four and one?
- 31:11Speaker 1: Here is question number five? Before smartphones? What toy? Let
- 31:17Speaker 1: you take care of a digital pet?
- 31:20Speaker 2: I know this?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Hmm? Was it though? So you're going straight forward? You don't?
- 31:27Speaker 1: You don't need the answers?
- 31:28Speaker 2: Multiple choice?
- 31:29Speaker 1: But are you sure? Yeah? Okay? Was it a giga pet,
- 31:34Speaker 1: a ferbie, a tamagatchi or a polypocket?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Because I have a polypocket?
- 31:39Speaker 1: Final answer because it's not digital?
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Bad answer is correct? Is correct?
- 31:48Speaker 2: I'm the milon I have one.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 2: And it looks like the nineties.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Too, and it constantly needed attention, basically the nineties version
- 31:55Speaker 1: of having a smartphone notification anxiety disorder.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Right. My sister when she was younger, she had it.
- 32:02Speaker 2: She made a necklace and you try to sneak it
- 32:04Speaker 2: into school. So her pet.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Yeah, she's so smart.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And it she's so smart.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But I know I love it and I love her
- 32:13Speaker 1: and I love you and I love you and you
- 32:17Speaker 1: love me? Are uh happy? Anyways? That was Uncle Stevie's
- 32:24Speaker 1: favorite show. Let's go ahead and wrap this up because
