- 0:00Speaker 1: We covered dozens of miles testing eleven running watches to
- 0:03Speaker 1: find the best running watch of twenty twenty five, and
- 0:06Speaker 1: overall there were three that rose to the occasion. Let's
- 0:09Speaker 1: get into it. The Chorros Pace three is the best
- 0:13Speaker 1: overall running watch of twenty twenty five. For less than
- 0:15Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty dollars, you're getting a running watch
- 0:18Speaker 1: that comes with top of the line features at a
- 0:20Speaker 1: reasonable price tag. The watch and the app can track
- 0:23Speaker 1: up to twenty seven different types of workouts, but for
- 0:26Speaker 1: the purpose of running, you're able to track a range
- 0:30Speaker 1: of runs. So you can start with a basic interval,
- 0:32Speaker 1: a target run, and once you get started, it'll find
- 0:36Speaker 1: the GPS signal and take your heart rate as a
- 0:39Speaker 1: base measurement, and then it'll let you know when you're
- 0:42Speaker 1: good to go. It has a barely there feel on
- 0:45Speaker 1: the wrist, and this is one of the watches that
- 0:47Speaker 1: when I tested, I knew I was going to be
- 0:49Speaker 1: happy when my run was over because all of my
- 0:51Speaker 1: data would be accurate, lines on the maps would be straight,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and even when I did run into some GPS struggles
- 0:58Speaker 1: as recently as this week, the watch catches up with you.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Okay that was a four mile out and back, and
- 1:05Speaker 2: it hit four miles like exactly where I started running.
- 1:09Speaker 2: There's a marker that I use on this trail, so
- 1:13Speaker 2: yes that it's not.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Others that we tested made announcements on whether or not
- 1:17Speaker 1: the GPS was connected or not. The chorus past three
- 1:20Speaker 1: keeps it quiet, makes it easy to stay focused. You're
- 1:23Speaker 1: getting an around eleven day battery life. It'll run for
- 1:27Speaker 1: up to thirty eight hours in continuous GPS mode, but
- 1:30Speaker 1: for most runners, unless you're an ultra marathon or you're
- 1:33Speaker 1: not using your watch GPS all that amount of time.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Chors Connected smartphone app is incredibly easy to use and
- 1:39Speaker 1: gives you lots of insights. It doesn't come with any
- 1:42Speaker 1: type of paid subscription, which a lot of other running
- 1:45Speaker 1: watches and running brands do, and you still get access
- 1:48Speaker 1: into your recovery insights, sleep monitoring your overall training load.
- 1:54Speaker 1: One of the things I really liked as I was
- 1:56Speaker 1: traveling was that I could use it to find and
- 1:58Speaker 1: map out roots nearby, so that I knew if I
- 2:01Speaker 1: wanted to run a good three miles, quick, five k,
- 2:04Speaker 1: whatever it might be, I could easily find them no
- 2:07Speaker 1: matter where I was and It's easy to connect with
- 2:09Speaker 1: other tracking apps like Strava if you're looking to share
- 2:13Speaker 1: your runs with other friends. A mace Fit is a
- 2:15Speaker 1: brand you might not have heard about yet, but the
- 2:17Speaker 1: Active too should put it on your radar. It's our
- 2:19Speaker 1: best budget running watch, coming in at one hundred dollars flat.
- 2:23Speaker 1: The premium version is one hundred and twenty, but that's
- 2:25Speaker 1: only if you want to get a leather band and
- 2:27Speaker 1: I have a little bit more durable of a screen.
- 2:30Speaker 1: That said, can't go wrong with either one. The Running
- 2:32Speaker 1: Watch HDN detect over one hundred and sixty different types
- 2:36Speaker 1: of workouts, and the GPS during this watch is testing
- 2:39Speaker 1: proved to be incredibly accurate. It matched up to that
- 2:42Speaker 1: of the Chorus, it was slightly better than that of
- 2:45Speaker 1: the Apple Watch, and it really held its own against
- 2:48Speaker 1: top of the line heavy hitters. The battery life on
- 2:50Speaker 1: this watch was practically too good. Even when I was
- 2:54Speaker 1: finished testing with it after about ten or so days,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I could still hear it buzzing in my drawer because
- 3:00Speaker 1: it was still in fact alive. Okay, we're back in
- 3:04Speaker 1: air conditioning.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Maris law I love that watch. I think I love
- 3:09Speaker 2: it more for other types of workouts like it's nice
- 3:12Speaker 2: for running and I guess the job done and you
- 3:14Speaker 2: kiss is accurate and all that, but I think if
- 3:17Speaker 2: you're looking for a running specific watch, you might want
- 3:20Speaker 2: to look elsewhere. It's also only one hundred dollars, so
- 3:23Speaker 2: if you're a new runner, if you're just looking to
- 3:28Speaker 2: add a wearable to your lineup, it's a pretty inexpensive
- 3:30Speaker 2: buy in.
- 3:31Speaker 1: One of the best parts about the Amaze Fit Active
- 3:34Speaker 1: Too is that it connects to the ZEP app. The
- 3:36Speaker 1: zep app was one of the most detailed apps we tested.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You get incredibly detailed insights into your recovery, training, load,
- 3:45Speaker 1: stress levels, sleeping, and you can even use the app
- 3:49Speaker 1: to track your food. This is really helpful if you're
- 3:51Speaker 1: looking to train for a race and you want to
- 3:53Speaker 1: make sure you're getting fueled as much as you can
- 3:56Speaker 1: and as efficiently as you can, and it's something that
- 3:58Speaker 1: I'm likely going to be used in this next marathon
- 4:01Speaker 1: training block. The only thing I didn't like about the
- 4:03Speaker 1: Amaze Fit Active Too was the band's They come in
- 4:07Speaker 1: a little bit long, and they're a bit annoying to change.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Since the pins on the back of the watch traps
- 4:14Speaker 1: are so small, that said, the band itself was comfortable
- 4:17Speaker 1: to where while I was working out. It's easy to
- 4:20Speaker 1: wipe down because it's just a silicone strap. The Sunto
- 4:23Speaker 1: Race is our best advanced running watch. It's also one
- 4:26Speaker 1: of the most expensive watches we tested. You get quick
- 4:29Speaker 1: access to insights while you're on the go, and the
- 4:32Speaker 1: bright display makes it easy to see everything that's going on.
- 4:36Speaker 1: The watch itself can track a wide range of workouts,
- 4:39Speaker 1: ranging from running and biking, open water swimming to mermaiding chores,
- 4:46Speaker 1: so you're really able to track all of your daily
- 4:48Speaker 1: activity no matter what it is that you're doing.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It feels really a luxury.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It is really heavy. I noticed that the entire time
- 4:55Speaker 1: I was running, and just like you can feel.
- 4:57Speaker 2: It on the wrist.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But because it's heavy and has a bigger watch base,
- 5:02Speaker 1: you do a lot more information, so it's bit of
- 5:04Speaker 1: a give and take. The battery life on this also
- 5:08Speaker 1: proved to be really worth the value. Our testing team
- 5:12Speaker 1: found that it lasted a full week on one charge.
- 5:16Speaker 1: The connected app that Sunto uses makes it really easy
- 5:19Speaker 1: to follow trails and paths and get access to different
- 5:22Speaker 1: running routes throughout the area that you're in. If you're
- 5:25Speaker 1: looking for something top of the line, it's still worth
- 5:28Speaker 1: the money. It's not the most expensive running watch you'll
- 5:31Speaker 1: find on the market, but it does give you tons
- 5:33Speaker 1: of premium features. It feels very lux but very well
- 5:37Speaker 1: worth the price. When you start shopping for a running watch,
- 5:40Speaker 1: there's a few things you want to keep top of mind.
- 5:43Speaker 1: The first thing is the GPS accuracy. Different watches use
- 5:47Speaker 1: different systems, and while one isn't better than the other,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you do want to make sure that the watch itself
- 5:52Speaker 1: is accurate. The other thing you want to keep in
- 5:54Speaker 1: mind is battery life. You're going to want to watch
- 5:57Speaker 1: that can last the length of your race, the length
- 6:00Speaker 1: of your training. You'll also want to consider additional features.
- 6:04Speaker 1: If you are someone looking to get insights into your
- 6:07Speaker 1: overall activity and health through a wearable, you'll wanted to
- 6:11Speaker 1: keep an eye out for heart sensors, sleep monitors, blood
- 6:14Speaker 1: oxygen monitors, and any additional type of sensors that the
- 6:18Speaker 1: watches may have. After testing eleven running watches, we can
- 6:22Speaker 1: confidently say that these top three offer something for every
- 6:25Speaker 1: type of runner. Can't go wrong with any of them.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It comes down to your interests, your budget, and what
- 6:31Speaker 1: exactly you're training for. Stay tuned for more running content
