- 0:00Hi everyone, welcome to today's show.
- 0:03I have a guest with me today, author and Satanic priest and
- 0:09founder of the Satanic Fulian Society Lucifer Like Vorden.
- 0:14Hello and welcome to today's show.
- 0:17Hey thanks, nice to be here. Absolutely.
- 0:20I'm so glad to have you back on the channel again.
- 0:23I we were saying it's been about a year since we did another show
- 0:28together and I'm so excited to talk about your new book, which
- 0:33is called A Bad Moon. And this book is really special
- 0:38because so much of your work has been grimoires and material on
- 0:46theistic Satanism and very serious occultism, and you have
- 0:51once again decided to release this creative project aside from
- 0:58your usual work. So I wanted to talk about the
- 1:01significance of this today and also a bit about the book as
- 1:06well for people to help inspire them in their spiritual paths,
- 1:11because there's so much that we can talk about.
- 1:13So the first question that I have for you about the book is
- 1:18what inspired you to explore werewolf folklore for a bad
- 1:23moon? Well, I've been a student of the
- 1:27occult for over 30 years, you know, and I've been a practicing
- 1:33Satanist for just about 20 years now.
- 1:38So, you know, I started practicing Satanism actively in
- 1:422006, I believe. And before then going all the
- 1:47way back to 97, I was a an occultist.
- 1:54I grew up though, watching classic Hammer movies, American
- 2:00Werewolf in London, The Howling, and so I grew up with this
- 2:06wonderful classic genre, movie genre and respect for it, which
- 2:12Satanism draws very heavily from.
- 2:16You may remember back in the 1960s and 70s, a lot of those
- 2:22movies that inevitably inspired the Satanic to Panic drew very
- 2:30heavily on the satanic iconography.
- 2:33And I want to say a lot of those movies were both inspired by and
- 2:38inspired Anton Lavey in his personal aesthetic as well as
- 2:43their own. And as we know, The Devil's
- 2:46Reign was a movie that actually had Anton Lavey in it, along
- 2:51with William Shatner, John Travolta, Ernest Burgess, and a
- 2:58bunch of other really great actors.
- 3:00And Lavey, she designed all the Satanic sets for it.
- 3:04I actually have a replica of the helmet that he used in that
- 3:09movie. And you know, whenever you watch
- 3:13me in my rituals, you might notice on this little finger I
- 3:16wear a very interesting ring and which is on the bookshelf behind
- 3:20me. And that's actually a ring that
- 3:22was taken from a cast mold of one of Sir Christopher Lee's
- 3:26Count Dracula rings that he wore in the classic Hammer rooms.
- 3:33And it comes with a certificate of often density and every.
- 3:36So a lot of my occult studies was inspired by Classic Cinema.
- 3:44It's what really made me want to get into studying the occult.
- 3:47And I want to say that it really, you know, inspired a lot
- 3:52of my world's views once I was in the occult.
- 3:56Of course, you know, I ate up literature ravenously about all
- 4:01sorts of things, including cryptids, monsters, witchcraft,
- 4:07and, well, obviously Satanism. So one night my wife and I, we
- 4:13were sitting down, we were watching a movie.
- 4:15And the movie is Bad Moon, which I don't know if you've ever
- 4:20watched that movie, but it's a werewolf movie and it's one of
- 4:24the better ones. And it's a really cute story
- 4:27about this guy who's a werewolf, and he goes to live with his
- 4:32sister and his nephew to try to overcome the wearable curse.
- 4:36Well, they have this dog named Thor, and he's this German
- 4:40shepherd. And it's a story about how this
- 4:43dog is trying to protect his family from werewolf.
- 4:47And it really got me thinking. It's like, OK, well, why do
- 4:52werewolves do the things that they do?
- 4:55What are some of the less understood elements of
- 4:58lycanthropy in these movies? And I started looking at it from
- 5:03an occultist point of view, as well as a person who might be
- 5:09interested in actually studying animal behavior.
- 5:12So that's when I was like, all right, let's write a werewolf
- 5:17story, a bad moon, and let's utilize this story to explore
- 5:26some elements of the werewolf that we haven't explored them or
- 5:31some of their behaviors, some of their intricacies and why they
- 5:35do it. And then I just was like, well,
- 5:39do I want to tell it from the werewolf side or do I want to
- 5:42tell it from the people side? And I was like, let's make it
- 5:46like a classic movie. I want to write it so it's it's
- 5:50sort of a creature feature. So the werewolf becomes the
- 5:52monster, but I also wanted to tell it something from the
- 5:56werewolf side and so, well, you know how I did that.
- 6:03Oh yeah, absolutely. And I thought it was really
- 6:05successful in how you created the story and I enjoyed reading
- 6:11it so much. I like I was saying in the
- 6:13review, I found it really refreshing to read an occult
- 6:17informed Horror Story among all the more heavy material that
- 6:23I've been studying for school and stuff like that.
- 6:25So after years of writing occult non fiction and grimoires, what
- 6:30drew you to step more into the realm of fiction with this
- 6:33novel? I know you've been doing a lot
- 6:35of things with your satanic organization and going through a
- 6:40lot of personal growth as well, so I was wondering if that
- 6:43affected your choice in doing this.
- 6:46Well, yes and no. That definitely did affect some
- 6:51of it. What it was is after I got done
- 6:55writing or rewriting my variation of Bible of Hulu,
- 7:01which I'm still in the process of editing a final version, but
- 7:05we have like a preliminary version already out that people
- 7:11can still go get and it's still really good.
- 7:16I realized that I was burnt out on writing Satanic literature
- 7:22because I had such a hard time writing that book and it in
- 7:30order to get it done when I wanted to get it done because I
- 7:33was already behind schedule on it.
- 7:36In order to get it done, I had to resort to various writing
- 7:40methods that I really wasn't very fond of at the time.
- 7:44And it showed me that I was completely burnt on writing
- 7:50Satanic literature, on writing active non fiction, occult
- 7:56literature, and that I needed to take a step back.
- 8:00And so I chose I, I was like, all right, I don't want to stop
- 8:04writing. I just need to take a step back
- 8:07and see, you know, maybe change how I'm doing things.
- 8:12So I was like, all right, let me take a step back and try my hand
- 8:17at non fiction again. And believe it or not, this is
- 8:20not the first non fiction book I wrote this year.
- 8:24I do have another non fiction book that is going that is
- 8:28completely finished that's going to be coming out in November.
- 8:32And I was also before writing this, working on another project
- 8:36that I also burned myself out on.
- 8:37And I was like 6 chapters away from the end that I was, I, I
- 8:43couldn't finish it. I had to change again.
- 8:47And so my wife told me, you know, want to write this work,
- 8:50full story, Just go ahead and write it.
- 8:52This is what came around. And so if you.
- 8:57Yeah, you've seen it. If you look in in the back of
- 9:02the book, there's this wonderful little.
- 9:05Yeah. And I saw you were sharing
- 9:07online some of the artwork you had been working on for it as
- 9:10well. Yes.
- 9:13Yes, One Evil Christmas will be coming out in November, and, you
- 9:19know, I'm looking forward to it. I had fun writing that.
- 9:21It was a cute one, but again, it's sort of raw.
- 9:25I was still trying to figure out my writing, my new writing
- 9:29method to write nonfiction. And so it isn't quite perfect.
- 9:36And you know, yeah. That's wonderful.
- 9:41I find that in my own spiritual practice, it's so important to
- 9:46do creative projects that are, yes, inspired by the spiritual
- 9:53work that I'm doing, but also just have a freedom to exist in
- 9:57their own way, almost like the child of inspiration from
- 10:04everything else that my brain has been going through.
- 10:07And basically giving that as like a gem of inspiration to the
- 10:13world. And that's why I thought that
- 10:16the situation of this work that you've created is so important
- 10:21for other spiritual practitioners to think about and
- 10:25learn from and to be inspired by.
- 10:27Because not only is the story awesome and fun to read, but
- 10:31also this idea of someone like yourself that has dedicated his
- 10:36life to discovering the unknown and, and pursuing the occult
- 10:41mysteries. And, and not just that in a
- 10:44vacuum, but in all your work of community service through what
- 10:49you're doing to help other people in their paths, which is
- 10:54always difficult for people that are seeking in the darkness.
- 10:57And so this is really a lesson to a lot of people that just
- 11:02because you might be burned out, it doesn't mean that you're
- 11:06supposed to abandoned the things that you love.
- 11:10I've been. Asked numerous times, is STS
- 11:13done? Is it closing?
- 11:15Because as you know, last year we had a lot of problems.
- 11:19I went through a lot of problems.
- 11:22I've openly admitted that I even started slipping minorly into
- 11:26heavy marijuana use. And unfortunately, I did a
- 11:30interview and thankfully the interviewer didn't take that
- 11:35interview. They let me redo the interview,
- 11:36but I was high during the time because of all the stress that I
- 11:40was going under. And they let me redo the
- 11:45interview when I wasn't. And I was really appreciative,
- 11:48appreciative of that. And it showed me that there was
- 11:52a lot of things that I was having personal problems with
- 11:55that I needed to address. And so people, you know, in
- 12:00October, we went on sabbatical. I showed the membership doors,
- 12:06numerous members left STS, but you know, and people ask me is
- 12:12STS done? Is it closing?
- 12:14Like no, it's not closing, but we are taking a break from it.
- 12:17And I needed that break and that.
- 12:20And this book came about partially because of that rate
- 12:22that I was able to take it and refocus my energies that I
- 12:28needed to do that way, you know, when we do reopen, which we're
- 12:32going to be doing in October, things will be a little bit
- 12:36different. But we're going to be reopening
- 12:37in October. And I can come back to it with a
- 12:44fresh you and a fresh perspective and a new
- 12:49understanding and. Appreciation for it.
- 12:53That's fantastic. I think it really helps to spark
- 12:58that sense of wonderment as well and mystery that often can be
- 13:07distracted from when when we're dealing with so much stuff that
- 13:10is very personal in regards to helping people in the work that
- 13:14we do, right? Exactly.
- 13:16And the thing that a lot of people need to remember is the
- 13:19Satanists and occultists, priests and priestesses, we're
- 13:24people too. We have lives outside of this,
- 13:29families that we need to tend to.
- 13:33You know, you get a lot of people who come into this and
- 13:36they go so rock hard into it that they seem to forget why
- 13:42we're doing this, why we build templates in our homes, why we
- 13:46have altars or why we write books on this.
- 13:50We do this because we're trying to improve ourselves and part of
- 13:55improving ourselves is helping others improve themselves.
- 14:00And you know, sometimes we need help as well.
- 14:04And that's always going to be the major journey is you're
- 14:09always trying to improve. You're trying to improve your
- 14:13personal personality, your knowledge, your living
- 14:18situation, your health. There's always got to be
- 14:23something that you're trying to improve.
- 14:25You're trying to improve your personal skills on something.
- 14:28It doesn't matter what. And sometimes life gets in the
- 14:32way of that. And that's when we come in as
- 14:35clergy to help people out in whatever way that we can.
- 14:41And it doesn't matter if they're a Satanist or not.
- 14:43You know, we take vows to do exactly that.
- 14:49Yeah, exactly. And that really goes into the
- 14:52overall principles of your organization, the Satanic
- 14:56Thulian Society, you know of developing the the Ultima Thul,
- 14:59right? Exactly, exactly.
- 15:02You're always trying to reach your highest self, and that's
- 15:05exactly what Thul, or today, as some people might say, needs.
- 15:11I remember how you and I first met that was a little bit of a
- 15:15bit of contention, but because of you, I wrote this wonderful
- 15:18article that's actually on the website that kind of goes into
- 15:22explaining the history of the word fool.
- 15:26And you know how it's, you know, a lot of people, they
- 15:32misunderstand it as being just simply tied to the Nazis, but
- 15:37it's not. It's much older and people, if
- 15:43they read their Dante's Inferno, they know the character Virgil.
- 15:48And Virgil was a real person about 2000 years ago and she
- 15:54coined the term ultimate dual, meaning farthest dual and fool
- 16:00was this island way to the north.
- 16:02It was meant to be the ultimate goal of trying to reach that
- 16:07highest, furthest travelable point.
- 16:10That's what ultimately needs to go as far as you can and then
- 16:14keep going. Yeah, that's so amazing and
- 16:18inspiring for people because most people haven't been
- 16:21invested in the occult for as long as you.
- 16:26So they don't realize like the consequences of the energies
- 16:30that you put forward or how over all your life will go through
- 16:35some kind of alchemical transformation if you have a
- 16:39real spiritual practice. And it's not always just going
- 16:43to be the obvious things. You know, getting involved with
- 16:45Satanism on a social level can make you a bit of a pariah if
- 16:50you're not careful. And you know, that's another
- 16:55thing that a lot of people don't understand.
- 16:57So when you get into this, you know, you and I, we've been in
- 17:01it long enough, we understand on the price it takes on our lives
- 17:07and those people around us for simply being involved with us.
- 17:11And we're good with that. We've made peace with that.
- 17:14But a lot of people aren't. And that's one of the things
- 17:16that we we tried to tell people. And I think that people should
- 17:22know it more, you know, that we should tell people more that,
- 17:26hey there, you know, it's great to get involved with this, but
- 17:29think about how it is for your social life and where you want
- 17:33to go. This may not be the right path
- 17:35for you to achieve that. And, you know, I see so many
- 17:40people, they have, they're struggling, they have so many
- 17:48hardships and struggles. And I, I, I want to tell them,
- 17:53you know, this is what you're doing wrong.
- 17:57You need to change this. You need to change how you speak
- 18:00or approach things. And no matter what you do, then
- 18:05things will go better for you. But half the time, you know, I
- 18:09can't. I can't.
- 18:10And I've got to let them find that out.
- 18:15Trump will change themselves because if I intervene, it's
- 18:19going to contradict where they're going.
- 18:21They're like. The werewolf goes through a
- 18:24whole transformation process, right?
- 18:27So just like a person getting involved into the unknown and
- 18:33contacting this primal force that is magic, it can do so many
- 18:39things to a person. And I think that is really
- 18:42interesting in your choice of this story and and your
- 18:48background in esoteric studies. Ellie Granger, the main
- 18:51character of my book, she undergoes that change in the
- 18:56book. And it's a really interesting
- 19:01thing to see because as you know, in the beginning of the
- 19:04book, she's gone through some really bad things over the
- 19:09course of the year before the book happens.
- 19:14And she's, you know, I'm not going to give away any parts of
- 19:18the book for people. Throughout the course of the
- 19:20book you go from this beaten down girl to happening to come
- 19:25to grips not only with the things that have happened to
- 19:29her, but what is going on around her and what her future might
- 19:35be. Exactly.
- 19:38And and that's the cool part about the transformation aspect
- 19:44of the werewolf. Did you did you find that in in
- 19:48your pursuit of writing this book?
- 19:51And I know this is just the first in a series too, which is
- 19:54pretty cool. Did you find that it reflected
- 19:59your own personal transformation from your gnosis of the occult?
- 20:05I want to say so, you know, I never really thought about it.
- 20:08But yeah, you know, looking back on it, when I first started
- 20:14really getting into the Echo, I started just as this nine kid
- 20:19who one day, you know, one day had an incident myself.
- 20:25And I've shown people the scars on the side of my head.
- 20:28I was bitten by a Great Dane and I was DOA for 20 minutes.
- 20:32I've told people this story before and when I came back, you
- 20:38know, because they were pronouncing me dead, they were
- 20:40giving up on me. And I came back, I, I'd seen
- 20:43some shit and it changed my perspective and it set me out on
- 20:50this whole path of religious study because I wanted to
- 20:54understand what I saw while I was dead.
- 20:56And that changed everything. So in a weird way, it was pretty
- 21:01ironic because at during the incident where I was bitten by
- 21:05the dog, I remember, you know, freaking out and screaming.
- 21:12You know, I can't remember if I was screaming.
- 21:15I think I was screaming at my grandmother and my mom, my
- 21:18adoptive mother. But I'm a werewolf now and I'm
- 21:21going to change. Oh wow, so you had really had
- 21:25like a direct personal experience that you can tie into
- 21:28this? Well, I was just a little boy.
- 21:30I was about 7-8 years old, something like that, and I had
- 21:36just been bitten by a Great Dane.
- 21:39So they're huge. To a child, they're like a
- 21:41horse. They're huge to an adult and
- 21:44this is a fully grown Great Dane.
- 21:46Her name was Kelly Girl. She was my grandmother's dog and
- 21:52her and I had grown up together. Well, she had just recently been
- 21:55hit by a car and so she was sore and we're in the my
- 21:59grandmother's kitchen and I had my shoes on and I didn't realize
- 22:02that her paw was sore. And I touched her sore paw and
- 22:08she yelled. And you know how a dog yelps
- 22:11when they when something touches a tender spot, like or something
- 22:16really sore, they snap at whatever's causing them pain?
- 22:23Well, she didn't mean to, but she snapped and yelled and my
- 22:27head was in the way. And so, you know, a dog in pain
- 22:33kids head, not a good combination.
- 22:39Great Danes have these great big, huge old heads and these
- 22:42big jaws. So it was, it was literally like
- 22:46getting mocked by a werewolf. So the irony was that yes, in a
- 22:52strange way, due to it by my entire life.
- 22:59Yeah, and then you went through this whole process too, of
- 23:01coming into your own power through pursuing these darker
- 23:06mysteries. Yes.
- 23:09And, you know, learning about myself, I want to say the true
- 23:13source of my power came from learning about myself and
- 23:18learning what I could and couldn't do.
- 23:21Coming to grips in terms with both the positive elements of
- 23:27myself and the most monstrous elements of my stuff that we all
- 23:34have. That those monstrous elements
- 23:36that are so horrific that we know we're fully capable of,
- 23:40that we will never talk about to anybody else, that we will never
- 23:44talk about openly to anyone. Even if they ask, even if they
- 23:50are some of the most trusted people in the world, we just
- 23:54will never talk about most people.
- 23:57They bury that monster inside of them and they never, they put it
- 24:04in a little tiny box in their head and they never opened the
- 24:07box. Well, I found one of the things
- 24:09that in order to truly come to understand yourself is you've
- 24:15got to open that box and you've got to face that monster of
- 24:18yourself. And once you can come to grips
- 24:20with that, once you can face that and admit it to yourself,
- 24:25you never have to talk about it to anybody else.
- 24:27But as long as you can admit it to yourself, you can control it.
- 24:32You can then put that box back. You could put an extra lock on
- 24:39it because you now understand what it is and you can now turn
- 24:45that evil to your benefit and become the best version of
- 24:51yourself. And I think the werewolf is a
- 24:55wonderful example of that transformation.
- 24:59You know, the vampire is another one as well.
- 25:02And I think that's why vampires and werewolves, they are some of
- 25:07our favorite monsters, because we see that these are creatures
- 25:14in folklore that represent the most monstrous elements of
- 25:20humanity, the bestial nature, and the absolute pure sadist,
- 25:29and that they just consume and destroy everything around them.
- 25:36But they can also create and become something above humanity.
- 25:43And I think that's one of the other reasons why we like these
- 25:46monsters so much, why we love wear rules because and vampires
- 25:51because they inspire us to become more than ourselves by
- 25:58confronting that evil within us. Yeah, that's so true, brother.
- 26:05Like when you speak of this, those are the real keys to
- 26:10mastering black magic and the dark arts.
- 26:13It's not about finding the fucked up things inside of us
- 26:17and becoming insane from it. It's about realizing those
- 26:21things are there and creating an alchemical change within
- 26:26ourselves to integrate those aspects so they don't control
- 26:30us, but we can use them in beautiful ways.
- 26:34Just like you have done this creative work.
- 26:36And I think that's so helpful for anybody that's on this path
- 26:42to understand, like figure out what is your creative outlet?
- 26:47Maybe you don't like writing like Lucifer does.
- 26:51Maybe you don't like painting like I do, but maybe you like
- 26:54something else. Like any kind of creative outlet
- 26:58is literally how. Everybody here to have that
- 27:01creativity in them. Exactly it can be.
- 27:03It can be working on cars. It can be.
- 27:06Yeah. That's so true.
- 27:08You know, it could be gardening, it could be animal care, you
- 27:12know, as you know, I have my dog in here with me, he said.
- 27:15She's she's being a lazy bum on the floor.
- 27:20But you know, there's all these different avenues of creativity.
- 27:25We are not locked into just simply doing artwork.
- 27:30And there's certain parts of doing artwork that we're not
- 27:36going to be good at. And that's perfectly OK because
- 27:39we're going to find strength in other elements of it.
- 27:42And it's about finding what we aren't good at and be it
- 27:49writing, be it painting, be it whatever we can figure out other
- 27:54things to make up or our weaknesses for those weak parts
- 28:01of our artistic nature or creativity, or as we like to
- 28:05call it in STS, the black flame. Because that's exactly what the
- 28:11black flame is. It's the fire of creativity and
- 28:14magic in US. How does imaginative creative
- 28:18work like your fiction writing demonstrate A deeper connection
- 28:23to the demonic and infernal currents that you explore in
- 28:27your own spiritual practice and and teachings?
- 28:30Well, like I said before, I burned myself out on writing
- 28:34books like the Testament. I burned myself out on that.
- 28:39But I still love Satanism. I still love the darks, the dark
- 28:43arts. And I was like, how can I
- 28:45continue to teach people about this when I'm currently burned
- 28:49out on writing straight up literature?
- 28:52And I was like, you know, some of the best things that inspired
- 28:57me was fiction. You know, looking at watching
- 29:00Christopher Lee and Bella Lugosi, Peter Cushing Servant
- 29:04surprise all these people, you know, these old time movie
- 29:10actors who portrayed this in in their movies.
- 29:16That was inspiration. Why can't I create stories that
- 29:21do the same thing? Why can't I write a book or
- 29:26various books, who just through the simple actions of the
- 29:30characters and the process of the story, teach the
- 29:36fundamentals of what Satanism is, to apply it in a real
- 29:41situation, even if that situation is a fantastical
- 29:45fantasy situation, like being chased through the Cherokee
- 29:50National Forest by a werewolf? Why can't I apply those lessons
- 29:58and apply it to my characters? So when people read the book,
- 30:06they can see how these lessons can be applied to their
- 30:11day-to-day life through these characters, through Ellie,
- 30:14through Chena, they can see the downfalls of like Jess and Mark.
- 30:23And ultimately they can see what real evil looks like through
- 30:28David. They can see what real goodness
- 30:32and kindness looks like through Jared.
- 30:37You know, You think about it, Jared Patchy know exactly what
- 30:41was going on. There's no way he could miss it.
- 30:44It was obvious he knew, and yet he didn't show one bit of hatred
- 30:50towards them. He didn't show one iota of in
- 30:54spiritedness. He accepted them.
- 30:57He opened up his door, fed them, gave them warm clothes when he
- 31:07didn't have to. He could have turned that rifle
- 31:10right over onto them and ended it.
- 31:15There really been nothing that they could have done.
- 31:18Yeah, the books have what I like to think of as, and you had
- 31:24mentioned to me as well like to when I was reading it, to be
- 31:30aware of the various themes that you teach in your order.
- 31:36And I really like that because you explore principles of what I
- 31:42like to think of as real theistic Satanism, which is
- 31:46about helping people, which is about empowering people, not
- 31:51harming children, and all these other values that overall will
- 31:55fundamentally help the world and people if they actually think
- 31:59about them and not fear the things that people don't want to
- 32:04pay attention to. Because that's a big that's a
- 32:06big part of the problems, right? Exactly, exactly.
- 32:10You know, Satanism, it teaches you to take responsibility for
- 32:14your own actions and inactions. When we look at everything that
- 32:18Ellie went through, we realized that it was all her own actions
- 32:25and inactions that caused her problems.
- 32:28And she understood that. She didn't shy away from that
- 32:32responsibility. And it wasn't easy.
- 32:37It wasn't it wasn't nice. It was very painful for her, but
- 32:43would you say in the end of the book she was rewarded for it?
- 32:47Oh yeah, absolutely. Because she took a head on
- 32:52approach of realizing the mistakes that she had made.
- 32:56That's what caused her to change.
- 33:00And how? By by understanding those
- 33:03mistakes, yeah. And then I change too, right?
- 33:06Yeah, exactly. I change thanks to your help and
- 33:08learning from you like that is. So important to know.
- 33:12I remember you looking at me. You know, we were having a video
- 33:15conversation just like this. And I remember you looking at me
- 33:18and you're like, what can I do? You know, I, you know, I've hurt
- 33:23myself so much, what can I do? And I gave you so many
- 33:26recommendations and you took them.
- 33:29You took them all, even right down to stopping and plucking
- 33:32your eyebrows and letting them grow back in you.
- 33:35You were like, they'll never grow back in.
- 33:37They'll they did well. There's kind of there is a
- 33:40little eyeshadow on them that's filling them in, but they are
- 33:43there. Now.
- 33:44They're just very fair because like my hair, my natural hair
- 33:47color is pretty light, so you can't see them that well.
- 33:50But but yeah, like, and I just feel better thanks to your
- 33:53honest advice to me and also just from learning the things
- 33:56that you teach people. The most important step in all
- 34:01of that, in your personal transformation, just like with
- 34:04Elliot, hers, you getting lie to yourself anymore.
- 34:10You didn't hide from the mistakes you had made.
- 34:14She doesn't hide from the mistakes she's made.
- 34:19You accepted that responsibility, and you took the
- 34:22initiator by accepting that responsibility to change the
- 34:27course of your law. So when you were writing the
- 34:30book, did you have any new dimensions about darkness and
- 34:38your beliefs about darkness and transformation while you were
- 34:42writing the book? No, not so much in the
- 34:46metaphysical sense when I was writing the book and I was, and
- 34:52I'm still in that developmental phase of changing my writing
- 34:57style, as you noted before I was before I was an occult non
- 35:03fiction author and now I'm writing a cult fiction.
- 35:12I'd call it horror fiction half the time and sometimes a little
- 35:15bit of mystery. I found that it wasn't so much
- 35:20the magical element of me discovering anything new
- 35:27magically. I didn't do any real magical
- 35:31growth, so to speak, in the sense of doing ritual or
- 35:35anything like that. Where I grew was in my personal
- 35:39skills at being an author, at being an editor, at being a
- 35:46publisher. And I actually have the
- 35:48hardcover version with me as well.
- 35:49But if you're an author and you're writing a picture, one of
- 35:54the best habits to do, and this is what I wasn't doing and I
- 35:57should have been doing, is when you get in your hard copies your
- 36:02your pre published hard copies. Read through it and keep a pen
- 36:05and paper with you and any minor little mess up.
- 36:10You write down the chapter, the page number and what the mess up
- 36:13is and what you need to do to correct it.
- 36:15Like the Satanic testament. If you look at the Satanic
- 36:19Testament, you'll notice that I have a ragged line on this side.
- 36:24This is just an editor editing part.
- 36:27I didn't know how to correct the big gaps with justified text.
- 36:31Now I do. So it's like when you read the
- 36:35new book and I can show you this one.
- 36:39This is part of the growth that I did.
- 36:41So I'm actually goes to your question.
- 36:44When you look at the new book, you'll notice that unlike the
- 36:47Satanic Testament, the text is fully justified.
- 36:51No super huge gapping really. And it looks really good.
- 36:56That was part of my personal growth is I never really
- 37:00justified my texts. I didn't understand that.
- 37:03And that goes to partially to learning to be creative in a
- 37:09way, challenging yourself in your creative process, just like
- 37:16with me trying to develop new habits with my writing process.
- 37:23One of the things that I never used to do is I never used to
- 37:25write a story outline or a story skeleton.
- 37:29I used to be a discovery writer. You know, I just go off on a
- 37:33tangent and, you know, see where it takes me.
- 37:37And that worked great with the Testament because I could focus
- 37:42each chapter on a specific subject.
- 37:45But it doesn't really. And some authors can do it.
- 37:47You can do discovery writing with fiction One Evil Christmas.
- 37:52It's all discovery written it it is 100% discovery written.
- 37:57But I found like with a bad moon, a bad moon is completely
- 38:04structured. I wrote out a skeleton, I wrote
- 38:07out a full story, Bible, character profiles, I I plotted
- 38:15the whole book out as best as I could and I found that it was
- 38:21much better. I want to continue to teach
- 38:23people about Satanism even if I'm not writing non fiction and
- 38:29I'm writing fiction. If you read these books that I'm
- 38:33writing now, you can see the Satanic lessons applying to the
- 38:39characters through their faults and their strengths.
- 38:43And before I wouldn't have been able to do that.
- 38:46That's why I thought this was project was just so cool.
- 38:48Sorry to interrupt you. I just, This is why I wanted to
- 38:51feature you on the channel because I think this is so
- 38:54important for people to witness, like how you put all of this
- 38:58together, your discovery process and why you chose to do this.
- 39:02Because I think it's so unique in a creative project that's
- 39:07still teaching people about Satanism and your message, but
- 39:11in a way that also helps inspire people on how how can they
- 39:16create something artistic with those same messages.
- 39:20Yeah, and that, that's the thing.
- 39:22We see so many books coming out on Satanism, and some of them
- 39:27are really good. I got a whole library shelf
- 39:31behind me filled with books on Satanism.
- 39:35I've got books by Anton Lavey, Michael Aquino.
- 39:40I've got books by authors who are just not around anymore.
- 39:45Some of these books are really great books.
- 39:48Some of them are not very good at all.
- 39:52But The thing is, that doesn't mean that the Satanist who wrote
- 39:55it was bad, just that they didn't have the right medium and
- 39:59to be able, you know, if you want to write a book and say
- 40:02you're a good fiction author. You don't need to write a book
- 40:07like this. You can write a book like this
- 40:10and achieve all the things that you did with this.
- 40:14Look at L Ron Hubbard with Scientology.
- 40:18He was a science fiction writer. A lot of the lessons that he
- 40:22applied to Scientology, he taught through his fiction
- 40:25stories just as much as we did through his Scientology books.
- 40:31And that was one of the things that I've chosen to do with my
- 40:35fiction writing is I want to achieve the same thing.
- 40:40As a matter of fact, because of the fiction writing, you can 0IN
- 40:44on a very specific life lesson that can have such a far
- 40:49reaching effect into other avenues.
- 40:52You don't have to have your characters standing in front of
- 40:55a satanic altar to teach those lessons.
- 40:58I mean, you could if that's part of your story or you could have
- 41:02them fighting Medusa. You can have your characters not
- 41:07even be Satanists when you read a a bad moon.
- 41:11None of the characters in this book are Satanists.
- 41:15They're not devil worshippers. They're normal kids.
- 41:19They're normal people with normal lives.
- 41:22Ellie herself is a Christian, technically, you know, and the
- 41:29upcoming sequel, you learn that the Tina character, her parents
- 41:35are Methodist, and there's other characters who have other
- 41:39religions in the upcoming book, in the whole upcoming series,
- 41:47but yet they're still applying Satanic principles.
- 41:50You don't need to be a Satanist to apply our principles to your
- 41:53life and be successful. And these characters, they're
- 41:58not technically Satanist, but they're still find Satanic
- 42:02principle and philosophy. Yeah, I thought it was very,
- 42:06very successful. So for spiritual people that are
- 42:11committed to the Left Hand Path and its philosophies, why do you
- 42:16believe that it's vital to have creative projects beyond just
- 42:22them doing rituals? Well it's mostly to help avoid
- 42:26the situation that I went through.
- 42:28I had been going so hard to my Satanism as people can see just
- 42:34from where I'm sitting and if they watch my ritual videos.
- 42:41I built my own temple in my house I had.
- 42:47I'm currently sitting in a room with a 12 foot ceiling with a
- 42:52dragon chandelier above my head. The whole room is completely
- 42:57painted black and red and is dedicated to Satanism.
- 43:01I went balls to the wall in Satanism for the better part of
- 43:06a decade, 8 years at least, even though STS hasn't been out for
- 43:12eight years. We were going to be coming up on
- 43:15our sixth year this October, but even before then I went balls to
- 43:23the wall was Satanism. We had a meet up group up in
- 43:27Maryland. We had people coming over and I
- 43:30completely dedicated myself to Satanism and satanic writing and
- 43:36just going completely all in on it so far that I eventually
- 43:43burned myself out. And burnout is not fun.
- 43:49It can be scary. You PD left questioning your own
- 43:54faith and everything because you get so tired of it that it
- 43:59becomes very meaningless to you. Me personally, I love doing
- 44:03ritual. I love doing our monthly high
- 44:06masses. They are very important to me
- 44:09and I find that a lot of other people enjoy them as well.
- 44:14Because no one else was doing it.
- 44:16No one else was doing live satanic rituals or people to get
- 44:21involved. And I love doing it, but I was
- 44:26losing my enthusiasm for it. They were coming to me as empty
- 44:31and hollow even as I was reading words and I that hurt.
- 44:36And so having these creative projects, being able to step
- 44:43away out of this satanic sphere that we encase ourselves in
- 44:49outside of this dark metaphysical sphere, having
- 44:53these projects like this, just a simple creative project that you
- 44:59can have fun with that helps keep that fire in you alive to
- 45:09do all this. Because this, what we do here is
- 45:16only one part of our lives. And that's something that I
- 45:20think most Christians actually get right.
- 45:24You can be a, you're a sickness 24/7.
- 45:27You have a religion 24/7. It's not something you can turn
- 45:30on and off by a light switch. We use these philosophies to
- 45:37help guide us through life and interpret our world, but this is
- 45:43not our entire lives. It cannot.
- 45:48This is only one element of our lives.
- 45:51And by having these other outside projects, having these
- 45:57other outside things makes all of this much more enjoyable and
- 46:03fulfilling in here. So when you have a creative
- 46:07project, you're painting, writing a book, be writing a
- 46:12picture book, even just picking up and reading up a fiction book
- 46:16or playing a video game. Having a passion project that
- 46:22has nothing to do with the occult, that has nothing to do
- 46:25with your religion or anything outwardly will help you build
- 46:33yourself to your religion, help marry you to it all the more
- 46:37because then you could step into your virtual chamber.
- 46:41You can pick up your sacred book, your groom warms and you
- 46:47can feel that weight you can feel that joy in.
- 46:51For me, I haven't stopped doing my monthly high masses, even
- 46:56though I'm in sabbatic still until October.
- 46:59So we still have a few months left.
- 47:04But going into sabbatical, stepping away from most of this
- 47:09for 90% of my life, not answering as many questions
- 47:15about Satanism, not talking about it as much and focusing on
- 47:20creative projects. Personally, getting into fiction
- 47:25writing and having fun with it. I found that I'm enjoying my
- 47:30monthly high masses more and I am having fun with it.
- 47:36Occasionally we get Christian haters who come into the rooms
- 47:40and they're causing trouble and we have people who still bounce
- 47:45them out and everything. But even then, I have fun with
- 47:51them. I enjoy their presence, even
- 47:53though they're talking some of the most hateful vitriol.
- 47:57Anybody who watches my eye masses know that I can't see it.
- 48:03It's not affecting me because I turned the camera around.
- 48:08So I got Diana off in the corner here who's monitoring
- 48:12everything. I got other people on other
- 48:15computers who work as our security who's monitoring
- 48:20everything, and they're seeing it.
- 48:21I'm not. They're just bouncing them out.
- 48:24And even when they're not there, the people who are there, they
- 48:28eventually realize that they're not achieving anything and they
- 48:32leave. And we still have a wonderful
- 48:36fun, sometimes laughter filled ritual.
- 48:41And it's really interesting because you have these satanic
- 48:45rituals and you know how we get, we can get really like fire and
- 48:50brimstone in them, but then we can break and just start
- 48:54cracking up laughing and it's really wonderful.
- 48:58And that brings the enjoyment of the religion back to us.
- 49:03And we can talk, you know, even after the ritual or the board
- 49:08ritual, we can talk about our bit of passion projects because
- 49:11ultimately that is what we live life for, is that passion, that
- 49:18love of living. And if we can't have fun
- 49:22projects like this for me or your painting or whatnot, then
- 49:29what's the point of it all? What would be the point of all
- 49:33if we couldn't enjoy our religion, why are we practicing
- 49:37it? If I wasn't enjoying Satanism
- 49:40anymore, why would I keep doing Satanic stuff?
- 49:44And we see people like Marie Ravensall on Remember Her.
- 49:49She went through a burnout phase and she didn't tell anybody
- 49:53about it. And she went through a hard
- 49:56conversion to Christianity. She took down all of her books
- 50:00online. She stopped dressing gothic and
- 50:03everything. She went through a whole
- 50:04transformation. I'm not sure it's exactly
- 50:06healthy for her. I hope it is.
- 50:09I hope for the best for her. And I could end up going through
- 50:13what Maria Ravenson did were, you know, complete religious
- 50:17converting. I wouldn't have converted to
- 50:19Christianity. I would have still been Pagan.
- 50:20I might have gone to Norse paganism or back to Wicca.
- 50:26But you know, I didn't want to do that because I love Satanism
- 50:31so much. I love being a Levaean.
- 50:33I love all the effort that we put into this house, even though
- 50:39this house still needs a lot of work.
- 50:41This room, you know, I put so much heart and soul into it to
- 50:46bring to people, to allow people to come here and experience the
- 50:52magic of it all for themselves. And if I couldn't do that
- 50:58anymore, if it would have broken my heart, it would have
- 51:02absolutely just crushed. And I was so thankful that I was
- 51:12able to fix that about myself, to take a step away.
- 51:19And yes, STS did suffer serious losses.
- 51:23Yes, we had a lot of people lead, a lot of high-ranking
- 51:27members lead. And yes, we are going to be
- 51:31undergoing a change that is not going to be the same STS it was
- 51:37before. But hopefully because of that
- 51:40change, it's going to be a better STS because the people
- 51:44who are going to be involved with it, I'm hoping will be much
- 51:48more actively involved and will be able to enjoy themselves and
- 51:57enjoy what we do. I definitely know that there's
- 52:00probably a lot of people that watch my channel that would be
- 52:05interested in learning more about the Satanic Thulian
- 52:09Society and the other work that you do, So what would be the
- 52:12best way for people to pursue that?
- 52:15Well, right now, because we are still sabbatical, the best two
- 52:21ways to do it is to buy a The Satanic Testament and the
- 52:27subsequent books The Black Room War and Red Room War as well as
- 52:31the Satanic Priest top secret menu.
- 52:34These books are the best way and if you want to pick up the Bible
- 52:38Cthulhu for our Cthulian element, you can go ahead and do
- 52:43that. The other way is to look on our
- 52:46website and read up on the website.
- 52:50Currently I'm off and on trying to do edits to the website.
- 52:55Unfortunately, due to finances, I've had to take down the old
- 52:59Cult Cthulhu website that I was running and we're merging that
- 53:02onto the STS website. So the STS website is going to
- 53:08be like my central hub page where it's going to have
- 53:11everything. It's going to have my author
- 53:13profile, my author page, it's going to have the Cult Cthulhu
- 53:16stuff, it's going to have any of our other sub genres of
- 53:21Satanism, like a vampirism, Setianism, SIP ISM, as well as
- 53:28the Levan stuff, the Kakulian stuff.
- 53:30It's all going to be on the STS website and in its own little
- 53:35section. So I'm currently slowly working
- 53:38that in because I've been so focused on writing, I haven't
- 53:42really sat down fully to do to focus on editing the website.
- 53:49But that all being said, the website is a really powerful
- 53:53tool. It is a really good, solid place
- 53:56to be. One of the big things that I
- 53:58remember was the old Church of Satan website where it just had
- 54:02a massive amount of information compared to how the Church of
- 54:06Satan website used to be when it was just a basic HTML site with
- 54:12the button column on the side and it was just, it was very
- 54:16rudimentary. The amount of information that
- 54:19it had was absolutely stunning. And if you knew how to operate
- 54:24that website, you could pretty much understand the entire
- 54:28church Satan beliefs from that website.
- 54:33We're obviously not atheists. We do believe in a very real
- 54:37Satan. We believe it in the same way
- 54:40that Anton Lavey actually did. Contrary to popular belief, he
- 54:44was not an atheist and he actually stated so numerous
- 54:47times. He went on the Joe Pyne show and
- 54:50everything. He just didn't believe in an
- 54:51anthropomorphic state and neither do we.
- 54:55We believe in a transmutable state.
- 54:57So that's a whole thing that if you're really interested in it,
- 55:01you gotta, you can read the books.
- 55:04You can read the website and you can understand what is
- 55:07transmutable versus what is anthropomorphic and why is that
- 55:12such a a very critical detail. And when you understand that and
- 55:16you realize oh wait, Anton Lavey flat out said even in the
- 55:21Satanic Bible, which is right behind me, the 1st chapter of
- 55:26Anton Lavey's book. Let me pull it up.
- 55:31The very first words in the very first chapter chapter in the
- 55:36book of Lucifer and it's in this chapter wanted God dead or alive
- 55:43on page 40. This is what Anton Lebay says
- 55:47and I want people to pay attention to it.
- 55:49It is a popular misconception that the Satanist does not
- 55:52believe in God. Notice he said misconception
- 55:57that they don't believe in God, which means they absolutely do
- 56:00believe in God. That is the literally the very
- 56:06first sentence. The very first sentence, and we
- 56:09take that to heart. Anton La Vey went on the Joe
- 56:12Pine show and he flat out said he absolutely believed God
- 56:18exists. Then he went on to explain how
- 56:20that was. Well, once you actually break it
- 56:23down, you realize Anton Valet didn't have a word for that.
- 56:27He didn't understand that the word was transmutable, and so he
- 56:32just expressed we just don't believe in an anthropomorphic
- 56:36God or an anthropomorphic Satan, which is 100% correct.
- 56:43It's not to say that Satan or God can't take on an
- 56:45anthropomorphic form if necessary, but they can also
- 56:50just be a written word, a story, a book, they can be a song, they
- 56:57can be whatever they need to be to get to an individual person
- 57:01and make them understand. They can even, like the
- 57:04Christians say, work in mysterious ways.
- 57:08And that is the whole concept of being a dark undercond of
- 57:13energy, as Anton Malay used to say about what Satan was.
- 57:18It was a stark undercurrent of energy in the world.
- 57:22And that dark undercurrent of energy works in different ways,
- 57:27different mysterious ways. And so, yeah, we absolutely do
- 57:33the real Satan. But the best way to learn about
- 57:40this, about what we do, about what real Satanism is, about
- 57:47what the Satanic Julian Society is, is to go to our website.
- 57:51It costs you nothing. You might be asked to sign up
- 57:55for our e-mail list, which I will randomly throw out new
- 58:00emails to send out to anybody who signs up, which will have
- 58:03promotionals for our upcoming books.
- 58:07You can get links to upcoming copies of the quote and the
- 58:10book. You can find back issues through
- 58:14it. It's really interesting.
- 58:17So yeah. And you can even see upcoming
- 58:22articles or events and make plans to possibly attend one of
- 58:26our events. And that that's going to be one
- 58:30of the big things that, you know, just go to our website,
- 58:34get involved with us. The best way to learn about this
- 58:38is get involved with it. I will put links to everything
- 58:42that you mentioned in the description of this video, as
- 58:46well as the link to your YouTube channel so everyone can find it.
- 58:50Thank you so much for allowing me to interview you since you've
- 58:54gone on your sabbatical. I really appreciate it.
- 58:57I think that there's so much ground that we cover today in
- 59:01this very deep conversation that people can take so much from.
- 59:05To everyone that's watching, please go right now and buy a
- 59:10Bad Moon and all of his other books as well.
- 59:14I'll put links to that in the description of this video.
- 59:18Lucifer Legawarden, thank you so much for your time today.
- 59:21Did you have anything else that you wanted to say to people
- 59:24before we go? STS is not fading away.
- 59:28We are going to be changing some of our policies, some of our
- 59:33membership rules will be changing.
- 59:36It will sort of make things easier to support us, but also
- 59:41might make it a little bit different and more difficult to
- 59:44become a member. But if you do become a member of
- 59:48STS, you will find it much more rewarding than it was before.
- 59:54That's all I'm going to say about it.
- 59:56Now. We're going to be doing a full
- 59:57announcement in October and after we fully back open back
- 1:00:02up, it'll be on the website. There's going to be a, there is,
- 1:00:07there's always been a membership section on the website where
- 1:00:10people can look at that and that's going to be covering a
- 1:00:14lot of that in the future. And, you know, I'm going to be
- 1:00:19writing more books, you know, a lot more fiction books like
- 1:00:22this. That's about all I can say is
- 1:00:26aside from that, why don't you guys give good old Orly a little
- 1:00:31bit of a rate and a review? Thank you.
