Ireland’s Immigration Drops Slightly | Cork News
Ireland’s immigration dipped 12% year-over-year to 110,600 in the 12 months ending April, still marking its fifth straight year above the 100,000 threshold. The largest group—58,000—were aged 25–44, with 30,000 returning Irish citizens. Despite the drop, net migration remained positive at 48,100, driven by fewer arrivals than departures. Emigration also fell, with 53% of those leaving in the 25–44 age bracket and another large cohort aged 15–24.
