- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode of Inside the Bus. Let
- 0:04Speaker 1: me go ahead and give you a little bit of
- 0:05Speaker 1: a spoiler.
- 0:06Speaker 2: One.
- 0:06Speaker 1: This is episode number forty nine two. You're only going
- 0:09Speaker 1: to be seeing one camera shot this whole entire time
- 0:11Speaker 1: because the boys are busy. A lot of things have
- 0:14Speaker 1: been going on, so we've got a light crew. But
- 0:17Speaker 1: before we get into that, Mitch, who are some famous athletes?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Episode forty nine.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Tim Wakefield forty nine, the knuckleballer Chris Sale. My phone
- 0:26Speaker 2: just spas I'm getting hacked. We'll get into why I'm
- 0:29Speaker 2: getting hacked right soon. But a bunch of baseball guys
- 0:32Speaker 2: Tremade Edmonds, Bobby Mitchell. I don't even know who that
- 0:36Speaker 2: is Chris Sale, said mjke Arietta. But I feel like
- 0:39Speaker 2: the higher we get, the more and more until we
- 0:41Speaker 2: get to like the seventies and sixties and stuff, it's
- 0:44Speaker 2: like it's all baseball guys, and we're not a baseball.
- 0:47Speaker 1: We're about to get into the linebackers though.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Soon it'll be the Will Compton episode.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Fifty five will be Tyler Booker episode.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I think the Will Compton episode is two weeks from now.
- 0:58Speaker 2: That'll be a episode.
- 1:01Speaker 1: We've got We've got a big episode coming up in
- 1:04Speaker 1: a few weeks that we cannot give you any details on,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but just know you're gonna want to tune into it.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You got to make sure to save you these things
- 1:11Speaker 1: while they last.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Man. Yeah, the two episodes is oh yeah, isn't too
- 1:17Speaker 2: like we can do give you two episodes from now
- 1:21Speaker 2: we will have the interns, the Busting interns of class
- 1:23Speaker 2: of twenty twenty six will be uh with joining us.
- 1:27Speaker 2: We'll have more of a squad than just us. Two.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Jack he has off today or he has the night
- 1:33Speaker 2: shift tonight. Coop he's traveling this weekend. Matt is swamped
- 1:37Speaker 2: with work. Derek is doing stuff for for the dads,
- 1:41Speaker 2: Chefs doing stuff for the dads.
- 1:43Speaker 1: We've got a commercial shoot coming up there.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So it's a lot of fun stuff going on. But
- 1:48Speaker 2: we got we got to give the audience what they want.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We got Yeah, we we got to show up. Rain, rain,
- 1:53Speaker 1: snow or shine. We got rain going on right now.
- 1:55Speaker 1: But the biggest announcement in the Busting world was the
- 1:59Speaker 1: Nascar video that we went out there and made. You're
- 2:02Speaker 1: a Nascar guy, you're gonna be heading it up.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 1: First, well, I guess maybe we can't say the drivers,
- 2:07Speaker 1: but who was a driver if it was up to
- 2:09Speaker 1: you that would come on first.
- 2:11Speaker 2: The first driver I think we would need to have
- 2:12Speaker 2: on is Carson Hoosavar. He's uh seventy seven, respected seven's whatever.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I know Taylor would love would love that, but he like,
- 2:21Speaker 2: I think it's a perfect partnership with us, with NASCAR
- 2:24Speaker 2: and US because and I am not a like a
- 2:28Speaker 2: I haven't been in the weeds for as long as
- 2:29Speaker 2: some of these guys have, but like in my four
- 2:33Speaker 2: or five years being a fan of it, like you
- 2:35Speaker 2: don't have those American badasses as you did, like with
- 2:38Speaker 2: Dale and like Darryl Waltrip and all of those other guys,
- 2:41Speaker 2: like they were like that's a fucking dude. And Carson
- 2:44Speaker 2: Hosavar to me, like, yeah, he's only like twenty one,
- 2:47Speaker 2: twenty two. I never heard of him. He's very young,
- 2:49Speaker 2: but like he gets the new age and like he'd
- 2:53Speaker 2: like they call him the Hurricane because he just goes
- 2:55Speaker 2: out there and he'll just wreck people. For where's he from.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's from Michigan, but like he's one everywhere he's gone.
- 3:03Speaker 2: He jumped from the truck Series up to the Cup series,
- 3:05Speaker 2: Like what did he skip?
- 3:07Speaker 1: What's in between Infinity.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Or now the O'Reilly series. So he's ascended and like
- 3:14Speaker 2: he's he's like a lot of people, you either love
- 3:17Speaker 2: him or you hate him. And you hate him because
- 3:20Speaker 2: he like is in the media and like does all
- 3:22Speaker 2: of this fun stuff, but like you love him because
- 3:25Speaker 2: he doesn't give a fuck, Like it's it's truly awesome
- 3:28Speaker 2: to see that, and like he's my favorite driver now
- 3:31Speaker 2: it was Martin Truex before he retired, but like he's
- 3:37Speaker 2: we will get him on and I've I've had a
- 3:39Speaker 2: multiple people DM me like first person Carson Carson, like
- 3:44Speaker 2: just stay tuned kind of thing.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Who is who's the goat of Nascar? This could be
- 3:50Speaker 1: a controversial.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Clip, Yeah, I mean I think if we're going off
- 3:54Speaker 2: of like when's kind of like how we do when
- 3:56Speaker 2: we have our the Lebron Jordan thing, right, and like
- 4:00Speaker 2: you gotta bring up Bill Russell. It's the king. It's
- 4:03Speaker 2: uh Richard Petty. I don't know why I forgot his name,
- 4:07Speaker 2: but like overall and did the most for the sported NASCAR,
- 4:11Speaker 2: it's gotta be Dale Earnhardt, No, Jimmy Johnson. See, I
- 4:17Speaker 2: like Jimmy Johnson to me, Like I wasn't I didn't
- 4:20Speaker 2: watch back then, right, but like winning four or five
- 4:23Speaker 2: champions or six championships in a row is like that's
- 4:26Speaker 2: unheard of. That'll never happen again. Yeah, So I mean
- 4:29Speaker 2: you gotta respect there, But like I didn't pay attention
- 4:33Speaker 2: enough then, And I've watched like these documentaries and stuff
- 4:35Speaker 2: on Dale and like when I worked at NASCAR, like
- 4:37Speaker 2: everybody wanted Dale stuff. Like Jimmy Johnson like didn't get
- 4:41Speaker 2: a whole lot of.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Like, yeah, he never really I get he got in
- 4:44Speaker 1: that one fight one time, right, Who Jimmy Johnson?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Did he ever fight somebody? He may have. It's also
- 4:50Speaker 2: tough too because he's like he'll still do like some
- 4:52Speaker 2: sporadic races here, right, and he's in like the ownership
- 4:55Speaker 2: like he owns the Legacy Motorsports or as a part
- 4:57Speaker 2: of the ownership group, and they have like two or
- 4:59Speaker 2: three cars that they'll like they're like in top thirty times. Yeah. Five.
- 5:05Speaker 1: My only memories of Jimmy Johnson is growing up Sports Center.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I feel like he would just always be on that
- 5:11Speaker 1: left ticker and it'd be like either Jimmy Johnson wins
- 5:15Speaker 1: or Jeff Gordon in that time, but I guess Jimmy
- 5:18Speaker 1: Johnson kind of took over Jeff Gordon. Yeah, era ish,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I don't. I don't really know when Jeff Gordon won
- 5:24Speaker 1: his first one, but those are the two drivers that
- 5:26Speaker 1: I just remember always seeing on Sports Center left left bar.
- 5:30Speaker 2: The Jeff Gordon. If I'm correct in this, I think
- 5:35Speaker 2: he started right around like right before Dale passed God,
- 5:40Speaker 2: so like he, Jeff Gordon was there for a long time.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I think Jimmy Johnson may may have been like four
- 5:46Speaker 2: or five years after. Again, I could be completely wrong,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and odds are I probably am, But like, what also
- 5:52Speaker 2: you think of Jimmy Johnson? What do you what car
- 5:55Speaker 2: do you think of?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Like the number? I think of the blue I can't
- 5:59Speaker 1: remember his number, forty.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Eight lows forty eight. Yeah, like Jimmy john or Jeff Gordon.
- 6:03Speaker 3: You think of twenty four like the rain, red and yellow. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 3: like that's what I think NASCAR needs to get back to.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, this is coming as like a dumb fan like
- 6:13Speaker 2: you like those and like daleeren are you think of
- 6:16Speaker 2: the good Ranch number three card? Like Dale Junior? You
- 6:19Speaker 2: think of the eight Bud car like everybody has so
- 6:22Speaker 2: many different sponsors now, like Kyle Bushy to think of
- 6:25Speaker 2: em and M's but like and I to get it
- 6:28Speaker 2: point and I get it's like a money thing. But
- 6:31Speaker 2: though cars will run like five or six paint schemes
- 6:34Speaker 2: throughout the entire season, which again I get that it's
- 6:37Speaker 2: money this that to third, but it's also like nothing
- 6:40Speaker 2: is synonymous with anything anymore. And like I remember being
- 6:44Speaker 2: a NASCAR they said the viewership and stuff was up,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and but like I'd never heard my friends talk about
- 6:52Speaker 2: it or anything like that. So it's like, yeah, I'm
- 6:54Speaker 2: and like all the old people they like the fans
- 6:58Speaker 2: definitely aren't showing up like used to get Like I
- 7:00Speaker 2: remember one like one thing I had to do while
- 7:03Speaker 2: I was there was watch old races and like catalogum
- 7:07Speaker 2: or what. I forget exactly what I had to do,
- 7:09Speaker 2: but like that's what made me start to like NASCAR
- 7:11Speaker 2: was doing that. And it was the Brickyard four hundred
- 7:14Speaker 2: at in Indianapolis. Four hundred thousand people.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Holy crap, like they that many could even fit there.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I mean it's how it's like a two or I
- 7:25Speaker 2: don't know how long it is, but like the stands
- 7:28Speaker 2: it's huge.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Four hundred thousand, it has to be like the largest,
- 7:33Speaker 1: one of the largest sporting events.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I don't know if there was four hundred thousand in
- 7:36Speaker 2: the stands or just on the property kind of yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 2: but like even still, like I had I rewind, I'm like,
- 7:41Speaker 2: there's no way there's four hundred thousand people here, dude.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That is such a good point too, with all that branding,
- 7:46Speaker 1: because it is like, as just a normal sports fan,
- 7:49Speaker 1: it's like I knew about Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon Bush,
- 7:53Speaker 1: the story yeah Dale Junior, and like you know, you
- 7:56Speaker 1: can recognize their cars a little bit just from passing
- 7:59Speaker 1: through because it was so consistent. Now I'm the same
- 8:02Speaker 1: level of sports fan, but I couldn't tell you any
- 8:05Speaker 1: of these guys.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like numbers you got. Like the coolest one
- 8:09Speaker 2: in my head is like Tyler Redick. He sponsored like
- 8:12Speaker 2: he's a part of Michael Jordan's team, so he has
- 8:14Speaker 2: like they got the Jordan logo just big on it. Bro,
- 8:16Speaker 2: It's so sick. So like that that one stands out.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But like Kyle Busch runs, there's like a zone like
- 8:24Speaker 2: the nicotine pouches. He like his brother race, right, Kurt. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 2: he raced for a long time, but he just retired
- 8:32Speaker 2: a couple years ago because he had like a really
- 8:34Speaker 2: bad They get in fights, right or one of them does,
- 8:36Speaker 2: Kyle does, He's not. Kurt was crazy on the radio
- 8:39Speaker 2: and like he would say some shit like afterwards and
- 8:42Speaker 2: like Kyle and Joey Logano fought. That's what I was.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I need more calms too, dude. Back in the day,
- 8:48Speaker 2: he used to be able to like you're on the
- 8:50Speaker 2: track and you could talk to the car in front
- 8:52Speaker 2: of you.
- 8:53Speaker 1: If they don't do that anymore, no, see why not?
- 8:55Speaker 1: I guess maybe people were getting like it was like
- 8:57Speaker 1: a safety hazard.
- 8:59Speaker 2: It could be because like you're focused on like talking
- 9:01Speaker 2: to the guy behind you, but it was I don't
- 9:03Speaker 2: know if it was every single race, but like at
- 9:05Speaker 2: Daytona or like Tyala Day, like the drafting tracks. Yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 2: maybe like Tony start talking to Carl Edward. It's like, hey, Carl,
- 9:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna bump you here, like let's start working together,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and he's like, yeah, ten four, I got you. But
- 9:16Speaker 2: I feel like that would be so sick, dude, that
- 9:17Speaker 2: would be incredible.
- 9:18Speaker 1: They need to at least pick a few races where
- 9:20Speaker 1: they allow it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think they're like they're people don't like
- 9:26Speaker 2: the way that there's stages in races now, but that's
- 9:28Speaker 2: been around for like I want to stay close to
- 9:30Speaker 2: ten years now, and like it makes it more exciting
- 9:35Speaker 2: like during them rather than like watching the start at
- 9:38Speaker 2: like the first couple laps and then I'll see you
- 9:40Speaker 2: in two and a half hours. Yeah. But what if
- 9:42Speaker 2: we could.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Go to one race in the year, Which race would
- 9:45Speaker 1: you want to go to?
- 9:47Speaker 2: There's two to come to mind or three? Really Daytona
- 9:51Speaker 2: five hundred, half two half super Bowl. Have you ever
- 9:54Speaker 2: been to Daytona Beach? I actually I've been on the track.
- 9:58Speaker 2: We went u probably close to ten fifteen years ago.
- 10:04Speaker 2: My dad, brother and I drove to Daytona and we
- 10:07Speaker 2: watched the supercross race that they have in the infield
- 10:10Speaker 2: and like we were staying like our seats were on
- 10:12Speaker 2: the track. How close is it to the beach? Very
- 10:16Speaker 2: like I think like probably a couple of miles Daytona five.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Talladega got a hallway there.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the Brickyard four hundred would be sick
- 10:28Speaker 2: in Indianapolis. We gotta make it happen. I think there's
- 10:32Speaker 2: some this NASCAR partnership is gonna be really cool. I'm
- 10:36Speaker 2: super excited for it, and like it's I was telling
- 10:40Speaker 2: like everybody in like the team meeting before, like this
- 10:42Speaker 2: truly is like such a crazy full circle moment for
- 10:44Speaker 2: me because like we're gonna be getting a bunch of
- 10:47Speaker 2: footage from NASCAR and be able to like I guess
- 10:49Speaker 2: we had the license to it or whatever, but the
- 10:53Speaker 2: department in NASCAR that would have sent us the footage,
- 10:56Speaker 2: which is the department I'm in. It's like one of
- 10:58Speaker 2: the guys, uh that I used to work for DM
- 11:01Speaker 2: He's like, back to your roots. I'm like, yep, you're
- 11:03Speaker 2: gonna be hearing a lot a lot more from me.
- 11:05Speaker 2: So it's it's pretty cool. Like I'm fired up about it,
- 11:10Speaker 2: and especially after the last couple of months, it's like, Okay,
- 11:14Speaker 2: this is this is pretty.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Sweet, dude, and it like truly full circle of just
- 11:18Speaker 1: like being stuck in the archive room grinding a way
- 11:22Speaker 1: at of like a pretty monotonous shob I would imagine,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and then now you get to be like the main
- 11:26Speaker 1: guy a part of a show that they're pouring so
- 11:29Speaker 1: much resources into to like really expand their Uh.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's cool, and like you're the same way with your
- 11:36Speaker 2: tennis and uh soccer, Like you have other interests other
- 11:41Speaker 2: than football obviously, right, and like you started your Slice
- 11:45Speaker 2: podcast and like you have that like soccer, I mean
- 11:48Speaker 2: just kind of just a fan. And like I never,
- 11:52Speaker 2: like I have interest in like NASCAR Supercross like stuff
- 11:55Speaker 2: like that. Never in a million years that I think
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'd be working on a show for that because I
- 12:00Speaker 2: always felt like it's too niche unless you're working with
- 12:03Speaker 2: said brand. So it's super cool, like to be able
- 12:06Speaker 2: to do stuff with Supercross like we did with Delaney
- 12:08Speaker 2: and with Will and Taylor two or three years ago,
- 12:10Speaker 2: and now doing stuff with Nascar.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's like you just never know what's gonna happen where
- 12:14Speaker 1: life will take.
- 12:15Speaker 2: You, which is fun. That's fire, I think it'll be
- 12:20Speaker 2: now those of you listening, you guys know, Will and
- 12:24Speaker 2: Taylor don't know shit about Nascar. I like to think
- 12:28Speaker 2: I know enough, but I'm certainly not in the weeds
- 12:31Speaker 2: of like all of this other stuff. But like, I
- 12:34Speaker 2: think the dynamic that Will and Taylor are gonna bring
- 12:37Speaker 2: out of the NASCAR drivers is what the sport needs
- 12:40Speaker 2: in the sense of, like these guys aren't robots like
- 12:43Speaker 2: their dudes. They like drinking beers and shit on the
- 12:45Speaker 2: weekend after after winning. Like like it to personalize them more, right,
- 12:50Speaker 2: and like make them more personal and like relatable rather
- 12:52Speaker 2: than like they're getting paid a shit ton of money
- 12:54Speaker 2: to go out here and just race cars.
- 12:55Speaker 1: It's perfect to bring back the fans like me were like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I want a fan of NASCAR, but I at least
- 13:00Speaker 1: knew a little bit of what was going on. And
- 13:02Speaker 1: now there will be two people that pretty much are
- 13:05Speaker 1: in my exact same shoes, Yeah, that are kind of
- 13:07Speaker 1: bringing it and like.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It's it's cool because if you're a diehard NASCAR fan,
- 13:12Speaker 2: you're not gonna necessarily like it because Will and Taylor
- 13:14Speaker 2: gonna ask dumb questions. However, if you stick, if you're not,
- 13:18Speaker 2: you should listen to it, not expecting expecting to learn
- 13:21Speaker 2: more about NASCAR, but like see the guys put their
- 13:24Speaker 2: their guard down and like loosen up, Like that's what
- 13:28Speaker 2: this show I think is for. It's not you're not
- 13:30Speaker 2: gonna learn anything about NASCAR unless like the drivers are
- 13:33Speaker 2: saying like yeah, like this is what happens when this happens,
- 13:35Speaker 2: which I'm sure they'll be a little bit of but
- 13:37Speaker 2: like it's you're gonna learn more about the drivers and
- 13:40Speaker 2: like connect with them more. And I think that's what
- 13:42Speaker 2: makes this shut. What's gonna make the show a lot more.
- 13:44Speaker 1: The number one thing that I want from this show
- 13:48Speaker 1: is I want to get a tour of Denny Hamlin's
- 13:51Speaker 1: lake house. Buh No, he's not racing anymore, but I
- 13:54Speaker 1: also think.
- 13:55Speaker 2: That he's still he's still racist. Oh is he? Oh?
- 13:57Speaker 2: He like he just won last week.
- 13:58Speaker 1: That's why I said, yeah, Denny Hamlin, He's just got
- 14:00Speaker 1: upgrade to his house.
- 14:01Speaker 2: That's what I meant to say. But I think as
- 14:04Speaker 2: a sports fan.
- 14:06Speaker 1: You know, everybody loves Zillow as a sports fan, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: one of like the most fun pastimes is looking up
- 14:11Speaker 1: the sick houses that like your favorite athletes get. I
- 14:13Speaker 1: always look at will much Champ's house, not my favorite coach,
- 14:17Speaker 1: but his lake house in Colombia, Yeah, is so sick.
- 14:20Speaker 1: It's like basically just his own island, Denny Hamlin's lake house.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So many baseball players have sick lake houses. It's just
- 14:27Speaker 1: a fun sports fan pastime.
- 14:28Speaker 2: And like there's been like a Netflix show for NASCAR
- 14:32Speaker 2: and like stuff on Prime and you like they'll go
- 14:35Speaker 2: to a couple other driver's houses. It's like, god damn, Like, dude,
- 14:38Speaker 2: the NASCAR guys, but like I because it's not public
- 14:43Speaker 2: and like they don't It's like it's not like NFL,
- 14:45Speaker 2: like oh, Miles Garrett signed for two hundred and fifty million dollars, right,
- 14:49Speaker 2: NASCAR contracts are not public, and I think it would
- 14:52Speaker 2: be really like I personally want to know, like we're
- 14:55Speaker 2: not pocketa washing, but like how much do you guys
- 14:56Speaker 2: get paid? Because you got all these signs on your car,
- 14:59Speaker 2: like who, Like, yes, the cars are expensive, so I
- 15:01Speaker 2: know that's helping out. Like how much is that going
- 15:03Speaker 2: to you? Do you get paid per race? You get
- 15:04Speaker 2: paid like top ten insensives? Like how does all of
- 15:07Speaker 2: that work? And I think that would be a cool
- 15:09Speaker 2: thing to, Oh yeah, but like I don't know if
- 15:12Speaker 2: they know, like the die hard NASCAR fans really care,
- 15:14Speaker 2: But like these dudes' houses are unreal.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That's such a good point, Like they have to be
- 15:20Speaker 1: making equivalent to it's insane, like you think, like equivalent
- 15:24Speaker 1: to the media and NFL player.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I would say they're making like probably like running back,
- 15:33Speaker 2: like a high end running.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Back Jeremiah Lovell.
- 15:36Speaker 2: That's like rookie. I'm saying, like they probably make between
- 15:39Speaker 2: like ten to fifteen a year. In my head, yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 2: I mean Denny Hamlin started a whole team with like
- 15:48Speaker 2: and he's still driving.
- 15:49Speaker 1: That's what's crazy to me that you can even do that.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, like Brad Kisowski has is he still race?
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he's been around for a minute a minute, both
- 15:58Speaker 1: of them.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Denny Hamler's got to be old. He's in his forties.
- 16:03Speaker 2: In his forties, Bush is in his.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Forth do the guys may normally retire, but.
- 16:08Speaker 2: You can go really for however long you want. Yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 2: it's like as long as once you kind of get
- 16:14Speaker 2: like older and a little bit like brail, like a
- 16:16Speaker 2: little not brail. Brittle is when it becomes an issue.
- 16:19Speaker 2: But you can really like you're not if you crash,
- 16:23Speaker 2: you're hitting it. But like the safety in those cars
- 16:25Speaker 2: are unreal. So it's like getting better better yeah, per
- 16:28Speaker 2: but like the like Danny just won a million dollars
- 16:32Speaker 2: this past weekend for the All Star Race, and it's
- 16:34Speaker 2: like he won the All Star Race. Yeah, so it's
- 16:37Speaker 2: like there're the amount of money in it. And we
- 16:41Speaker 2: had Dale Junior on and he said, like to forget
- 16:44Speaker 2: what the it was a charter. It's like a number,
- 16:46Speaker 2: like you have to buy your number, and I think
- 16:47Speaker 2: you said in order to buy a number. It's like
- 16:49Speaker 2: a couple of mil And Danny has three charters, three
- 16:55Speaker 2: numbers forty five, twenty three, and thirty five, and like
- 17:00Speaker 2: Kesilowski has the six seventeen, so that's two. But like those,
- 17:07Speaker 2: it's not cheap, right, and like you gotta like maintain
- 17:10Speaker 2: those teams, and these cars are probably worth a million
- 17:12Speaker 2: dollars in parts and everything, and you gotta redo them
- 17:14Speaker 2: every time. Each each driver has four or five different
- 17:17Speaker 2: cars that they drive for different types of tracks. So
- 17:20Speaker 2: it's like it's really interesting. I think I think it'll
- 17:23Speaker 2: be cool. I'm excited about it. I hope you guys
- 17:25Speaker 2: are too. Every Thursday six am and we might be
- 17:30Speaker 2: able to go some ring, Like you guys will be
- 17:31Speaker 2: going are you going to the race? I'm going to
- 17:33Speaker 2: they one in Nashville. I don't know if I'll be
- 17:34Speaker 2: back in time for my bachelor party, but it'll be
- 17:37Speaker 2: it should it should be cool. I remember we went
- 17:39Speaker 2: with bars still that was fun.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a lot of fun. But a city
- 17:42Speaker 1: that h that needs a race. I'm surprised they don't
- 17:46Speaker 1: have one. Closest one they have is probably Darlington, but
- 17:49Speaker 1: Myrtle Beach. You were just at Myrtle Beach. That's NASCAR,
- 17:53Speaker 1: that's NASCAR heaven.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Oh, bro, we were down there during bike week. Oh
- 17:56Speaker 2: you're not gonna sit here and tell me that those
- 17:59Speaker 2: bike those bikes wouldn't be like fucking hell yeah, brother,
- 18:02Speaker 2: seeing someone.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You get four hundred thousan for a race, it was.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I what I'm starting to realize, and I was getting
- 18:09Speaker 2: Dietrich was giving me hell about it, like I just
- 18:11Speaker 2: hate drinking now, dude.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I was telling you I have a two drink
- 18:16Speaker 1: roll at these because I just go to a wedding
- 18:17Speaker 1: every other weekend of my life. Apparently shout out to
- 18:19Speaker 1: everybody that's been getting married and inviting me. But I'm
- 18:24Speaker 1: just like, I get that second drink and I'm like,
- 18:26Speaker 1: what do I gain by another one?
- 18:29Speaker 2: It's like and bro, like we were one night we
- 18:32Speaker 2: were at a boardwalk on the beach Broadway probably the beach.
- 18:38Speaker 2: We were went to dueling pianos, crocodile rocks. Dietrich brought
- 18:43Speaker 2: bought thirty shots of rumplements. How much did that come
- 18:47Speaker 2: out to? His tab was over three hundred dollars, which
- 18:50Speaker 2: is so cheap for Uh, I don't know it was.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It was like I got like four beers one time
- 18:56Speaker 2: for sixteen bucks. I'm like, this is one drink on Broadway. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 2: holy crap, But I gotta get back to myrtle. I
- 19:03Speaker 2: it's like the last two or three I was just
- 19:06Speaker 2: fucking tossing on the ground. I felt like a scumback
- 19:09Speaker 2: for doing it on the ground. But I'm like, if
- 19:10Speaker 2: I don't drink this, he's gonna give me. Hell.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Did you have one night where you did go hard?
- 19:14Speaker 2: That? It was that night, But like even then, like
- 19:17Speaker 2: I some of my buddies, like we had a buddy
- 19:20Speaker 2: thrown up the next morning. Oh, like I can't. I
- 19:23Speaker 2: can't do that anymore.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Because y'all are golfing the whole weekend right there.
- 19:26Speaker 2: We golf Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And our one buddy, Craig,
- 19:30Speaker 2: shout out, Craig, he's a he's the best. God. Banged
- 19:36Speaker 2: up was thrown up before we got got in the uber. Uh,
- 19:41Speaker 2: and then some car said something to him. He started
- 19:44Speaker 2: sprinting after the car, like not not in any way
- 19:47Speaker 2: going to catch him, but it was just like hilarious.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Then the next morning we get through. We're golfing two
- 19:52Speaker 2: times at eleven, so by now it's like twelve, twelve thirty.
- 19:55Speaker 2: We get through like three or four holes. He just
- 19:57Speaker 2: goes over the woods, just starts puking and and he's like,
- 20:00Speaker 2: you guys, take the next couple holes. So he's just
- 20:03Speaker 2: sitting in the cart like anytime his car buddy gets out,
- 20:06Speaker 2: he's just like sprawling out on it. And then once
- 20:09Speaker 2: we hit the ninth hole, hit the turn, he was like,
- 20:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna go back to the car. Just took a
- 20:13Speaker 2: nap in the car, and we got to like the
- 20:16Speaker 2: fourteenth hole, and like everybody was playing, like shit, we
- 20:18Speaker 2: were all tired, we all hungover.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Like let's just call it, dude, courses need I mean,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I understand why they don't, but like I feel like
- 20:26Speaker 1: twelve to fourteen holes is the perfect amount.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Yeah, unless you're like all like you're yeah, you're shooting right,
- 20:34Speaker 2: But like at that round, at that time, it's like
- 20:36Speaker 2: all right, I'm fine. And it took forever, Like which
- 20:39Speaker 2: day was that? This was Saturday? Our last day. We're
- 20:42Speaker 2: all it's been three days of drinking. We're all just
- 20:44Speaker 2: tired and like not feeling great, and like I was
- 20:48Speaker 2: selling my one buddy calm, like the amount of liquids
- 20:50Speaker 2: I have put in my stomach from beer, Rumpelman's, Water,
- 20:55Speaker 2: Bang Energy Drinks, Celsius, Gatorade, Gatorade Light. Like Thursday night, Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 2: I thought I was gonna like I was debating going
- 21:05Speaker 2: outside and throwing up, and do you guys know me,
- 21:07Speaker 2: I hate throwing up the worst. I don't. I don't
- 21:10Speaker 2: know what happened, but like it just felt like and
- 21:13Speaker 2: I tried to poop, and like I did, but it wasn't.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Like a it wasn't getting it out. Yeah, but like
- 21:18Speaker 1: it sort of.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Kind of helped and it like I think it was
- 21:22Speaker 2: up from like one point thirty until like close to four,
- 21:25Speaker 2: and it was dude, I was in hell. And I
- 21:29Speaker 2: knew like the next day, like it's supposed to be
- 21:31Speaker 2: the bigger day and we're golfing all day and then
- 21:32Speaker 2: we have to drain, Like I just I hate drinking
- 21:36Speaker 2: the golf trip.
- 21:36Speaker 1: The golf trips are gonna start changing a little bit,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I know, because maybe even next year, Saturday, no golf,
- 21:42Speaker 1: we just we just beat it. I think next don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: go to the beach. No, we haven't gone to the
- 21:47Speaker 1: beach since we've gone down there. Day next year, I
- 21:52Speaker 1: think we're gonna parlay it. I don't know if we're
- 21:54Speaker 1: gonna do it in Myrtle, but it'll be the same
- 21:55Speaker 1: crew h Colin's bachelor party, so like hopefully a little
- 22:00Speaker 1: bit be a little bit of a switch up. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: highly doubt it, Like I just truly like I am
- 22:07Speaker 1: looking forward to this weekend of not doing a thing,
- 22:09Speaker 1: because then next weekend I have another bachelor party, and
- 22:12Speaker 1: like it's gonna.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Where's that one in Maryland? Oh wow? In Annapolis? Getting
- 22:18Speaker 2: a boat charter. Now we're gonna golf and we're going
- 22:21Speaker 2: out to dinner. It's for one of my high school
- 22:23Speaker 2: it's from It's for Andy. Ye shout out Andy, shout
- 22:27Speaker 2: out Andy. I feel bad. I still haven't I need
- 22:31Speaker 2: to get like measured for my suit and everything, like
- 22:34Speaker 2: in August. There's still time and stuff for it. But
- 22:37Speaker 2: like we got Kid's wedding, we got I have Andy's wedding.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I have the wedding in Italy. I have the wedding
- 22:43Speaker 2: in Greece, like I have.
- 22:45Speaker 1: This is summer of Mitch, you go, you out, you
- 22:50Speaker 1: outside with it. I'm gonna be international, national, local, regional.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It's gonna be. I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna be.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It's gonna be an expensive year. It has been an
- 22:59Speaker 2: expensive but yeah, it's gonna be a record years as
- 23:02Speaker 2: Eric Church.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I also shout out Eric church commencement speech that was
- 23:09Speaker 1: I've heard a lot. I'm a big commencement speech guy.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I love going on YouTube and just watching commencements, and
- 23:16Speaker 1: that one is off the top of my head right now.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm like, if I'm not going to give it the
- 23:21Speaker 1: number one.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Spot, it's at least top three. I thought.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Roger Federer gave an incredible one.
- 23:26Speaker 2: I don't even know if I've heard his.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Dude, his is so cool, just because it's all about
- 23:31Speaker 1: like letting go of the last point. And you know,
- 23:36Speaker 1: one of the greatest tennis players of all time, he
- 23:38Speaker 1: only won fifty one percent of the points he played
- 23:41Speaker 1: throughout his whole career, and he's like, that's the margin
- 23:45Speaker 1: and like, and that's the difference between you know, being
- 23:48Speaker 1: as good as he.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Was and not.
- 23:49Speaker 1: That's so insane, Like it's the only sport where you
- 23:53Speaker 1: can win more points but lose the match.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Which is crazy. That doesn't even make sense.
- 24:00Speaker 1: At all, because it's like games can be longer. So
- 24:04Speaker 1: like say, if we're playing I'm serving, I win, I
- 24:08Speaker 1: ace you four times so I get those four points.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Now it's your serve and say we just keep battling.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It keeps going to deuce. It could take nine points
- 24:20Speaker 1: to win that game.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so if.
- 24:22Speaker 1: If we're like dragging it out and getting into wars,
- 24:24Speaker 1: then you can stack your points up. But it's just crazy.
- 24:28Speaker 1: But yeah, Eric Church, how.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Do you like you said you were we were talking
- 24:32Speaker 2: about it earlier and you said it took him over
- 24:33Speaker 2: a year to write that. Yeah, in my head, it's like,
- 24:38Speaker 2: how do you even come up with something like that?
- 24:40Speaker 2: The way the level of your brain has to be operating,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and like how introspective and like micro macro type thinking,
- 24:49Speaker 2: not even trying to be funny, but like how you
- 24:51Speaker 2: actually have to be It's like I could never in
- 24:54Speaker 2: a million years. I know, man.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You know, I saw a story on Twitter.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I don't know if it was true.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Or not, but you know, apparently I think I was
- 25:02Speaker 1: telling you this yesterday, Like he was sitting there trying
- 25:04Speaker 1: to write it one day and just could not come
- 25:06Speaker 1: up with anything, and he got super frustrated, and like
- 25:09Speaker 1: you'd imagine any famous country singer to do, it's like
- 25:11Speaker 1: they get mad through their pain and pick up their guitar.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And apparently like he just kind of started strumming. It
- 25:16Speaker 1: was like six chords, Like there's got to be something
- 25:19Speaker 1: with this.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Guess he created his his six like the definitions for
- 25:24Speaker 1: each of them.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah. My Beth am Best sent me that. Really usually
- 25:28Speaker 2: she said it to Nate and I and she's like,
- 25:29Speaker 2: this is awesome, Like you guys have been through so much.
- 25:32Speaker 2: It's like kind of motivational. Yeah, And I bring her
- 25:36Speaker 2: up because unfortunately she is resigning from South Carolina this
- 25:41Speaker 2: and she's this was her last year. Yep, what's she doing.
- 25:44Speaker 2: She's gonna start doing like some consulting stuff like she
- 25:48Speaker 2: she's a badass and like she'll land on her feet
- 25:51Speaker 2: or not. That she didn't get fired. She decided to
- 25:53Speaker 2: walk away, but like, I know that pains me. I've
- 25:57Speaker 2: been meaning to tell you, but she I feel bad
- 26:00Speaker 2: for the students. It just wasn't what she wanted it
- 26:02Speaker 2: to be anymore, right, And so now she's back. She's
- 26:05Speaker 2: living in Charleston now full time, which she has to
- 26:08Speaker 2: because her place out there is gorgeous the spot she's
- 26:11Speaker 2: in and it's unreal and so like super happy, like
- 26:14Speaker 2: she's gonna be completely fine. Yeah, but lost for the
- 26:17Speaker 2: university and from like we got to replace from whatever, Like,
- 26:22Speaker 2: because I've met a couple of people that have had
- 26:23Speaker 2: her as like a professor and they're like she's awesome,
- 26:27Speaker 2: Like she's the most real, like and it's like weird
- 26:30Speaker 2: for me to see hear that because it's like that's
- 26:32Speaker 2: my aunt, right, we like it's just it's cool to
- 26:36Speaker 2: like people here like talk about your aunt like that,
- 26:39Speaker 2: and like I sort of like she's all very motivational
- 26:43Speaker 2: and like so I sort of see it in that way.
- 26:45Speaker 2: And then when you go and talk to her class
- 26:47Speaker 2: and like she said that like everybody was locked in
- 26:50Speaker 2: on you, which is pretty cool. So it definitely sucks.
- 26:53Speaker 2: That sucks for South Carolina because they're losing. It seems
- 26:55Speaker 2: like they're losing a good one.
- 26:56Speaker 1: We just keep losing, man, we keep losing. Team end
- 27:00Speaker 1: of the year on twelve game losing streak, lost thirty
- 27:03Speaker 1: games for the first time and I don't know how
- 27:05Speaker 1: long men's sports.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I think football though, wasn't that you're gonna take it.
- 27:10Speaker 2: You're gonna take the summer break.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, well, yeah, we're full reset. Now sports
- 27:15Speaker 1: are over, season's over.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I'll across the board. Just just a mental reset for
- 27:18Speaker 2: the six three or four months and then it's twenty.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Twenty sixth season is here and that's what we're looking
- 27:24Speaker 1: forward to.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Now. Baseball obviously just ended, but we're recording this on Thursday,
- 27:29Speaker 2: but from today one hundred days until football starts. College football,
- 27:34Speaker 2: which I can't wait. Man.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I got to sit down with Connor Shaw on my podcast.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I was I we haven't even gotten into that,
- 27:40Speaker 2: but like that seemed, dude, unreal like that. The one
- 27:43Speaker 2: clip that I saw was that first and ten when
- 27:45Speaker 2: I talked was talking to about I'm like, dude, God,
- 27:48Speaker 2: it's like I need to start thinking more like this. Dude.
- 27:52Speaker 1: The guy gets it, man. And you know he's been
- 27:54Speaker 1: through a lot. Last August he had sudden cardiac arrest.
- 27:57Speaker 1: And I didn't know this dat, but when you have
- 27:59Speaker 1: cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting, you have like
- 28:02Speaker 1: a nine percent chance to live.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Oh shit, so crazy. He like gets CPR and.
- 28:08Speaker 1: They did CPR for five minutes, which is also like
- 28:11Speaker 1: a very quick no, No, that's like a long time.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Oh it is, yeah, because.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Like essentially he's out for those five minutes, and so
- 28:19Speaker 1: the oxygen to the brain, like so you know, he
- 28:21Speaker 1: gets into the ambulance and the whole time, you're just like, man,
- 28:24Speaker 1: they did CPR for this long.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Like even if he does come to, how much damage
- 28:28Speaker 2: is done? And luck clearly.
- 28:30Speaker 1: He's he's all good, but has all of that background.
- 28:34Speaker 2: You know.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Ultimately, a tib fit, a compound fracture is what ended
- 28:38Speaker 1: his NFL career. Uh was South Carolina's best quarterback? Undefeated
- 28:43Speaker 1: at home.
- 28:44Speaker 2: How old were you when he was playing? I was
- 28:46Speaker 2: in high school. Okay, so like peak peak other than
- 28:49Speaker 2: when you were there, but yeah, yeah, but like when I.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Was there, you know, we had one good year and
- 28:53Speaker 1: then we just started sliding like crazy. He's truly like
- 28:58Speaker 1: we were good like one time in the eighties for
- 29:00Speaker 1: like a year, but like his years was like our.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Only good years ever.
- 29:06Speaker 1: And dude, sitting across from him and it's crazy because
- 29:09Speaker 1: we're only four years apart.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that is crazy.
- 29:12Speaker 1: And now that I've sat down with them for an hour, like,
- 29:15Speaker 1: I feel like we're we're friends. It's not with fan
- 29:18Speaker 1: player relationship. And it's been cool because we've just been
- 29:21Speaker 1: texting back and forth a little bit about random things.
- 29:24Speaker 1: But dude, it just makes so much sense why he
- 29:27Speaker 1: was so successful. But going back through when I'm making
- 29:30Speaker 1: the clips and I'm pulling all of the old footage
- 29:32Speaker 1: and I'm just like, oh my gosh, man, like this
- 29:35Speaker 1: guy was nasty and these teams were actually stacked, and
- 29:39Speaker 1: I know I talk about it way too much in
- 29:41Speaker 1: the office, but I'm just watching it. I'm like, dude,
- 29:44Speaker 1: nine of the eleven guys on defense were in the NFL.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and sneaky NFL uh, sneaky resume, yeah, roster Yeah.
- 29:54Speaker 1: But it was definitely like, you know, he's somebody that
- 29:58Speaker 1: I was for sure like a dream guess for me
- 30:01Speaker 1: to have on. And it's been cool to see the
- 30:02Speaker 1: response on social media with people showing love on the
- 30:05Speaker 1: clips and everything.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Seems to be doing pretty well. I saw one of
- 30:07Speaker 2: your clips with the footage and like it sparked like
- 30:11Speaker 2: a nostalgia type like I remember him throwing with the
- 30:15Speaker 2: glove on that the perfect like gst Wilson ball. I'm like,
- 30:19Speaker 2: now they're all like the Nike Adidas balls. It's like,
- 30:22Speaker 2: get back to that because that is like that. It
- 30:25Speaker 2: looks the spiral and that thing is so pretty. Dude.
- 30:28Speaker 1: His his era of college football is the one that
- 30:32Speaker 1: in like twenty five years, like those highlights will come up.
- 30:35Speaker 1: They'll be like random college football players like Connor Show
- 30:37Speaker 1: and you go back and watch and be like, this
- 30:39Speaker 1: was a football player.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the one Twitter Twitter account that guy
- 30:44Speaker 2: rocked exactly. Couldn't be a better person for that account.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Because true college football fans, like you see him and
- 30:51Speaker 1: you see the ball ahead, You're like, dude.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I remember him like that had the squad. I feel
- 30:56Speaker 2: like South Carolina has a bunch of those guys.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Too many guys, too many of them.
- 31:00Speaker 2: What I mean, we got it.
- 31:01Speaker 1: We got a chance to have two guys draft in
- 31:02Speaker 1: the top ten this coming year. Yeah, and it's like
- 31:06Speaker 1: we got we gotta.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Do something with it. Got But yeah, there was one
- 31:10Speaker 2: other thing. Uh, we do we want to talk about
- 31:14Speaker 2: how I almost got scammed?
- 31:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but is there something wrong with your email?
- 31:18Speaker 2: Though? Does something actually happen? I I haven't gotten nothing
- 31:21Speaker 2: has happened yet.
- 31:22Speaker 1: It was I feel like, you're good, because I would
- 31:23Speaker 1: feel responsible for some.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Of it, because I mean I was going to open it. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 2: I gotta open it. But I I got an email
- 31:32Speaker 2: yesterday from one of my whatever, one of my ex girlfriends,
- 31:36Speaker 2: and I haven't talked to her in a very like
- 31:40Speaker 2: two to three years, uh since like we broke up
- 31:43Speaker 2: and everything. I'm like, this is fucking It's like an invitation,
- 31:46Speaker 2: like like an evite type of thing, and I'm like,
- 31:50Speaker 2: what the fuck am I getting invited to? And like
- 31:55Speaker 2: what is she trying to like get at me or something?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Right?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Is this one of those weird games played? And so
- 32:02Speaker 2: I open it and then it like, oh, the site
- 32:05Speaker 2: can't be reached, Like maybe it's just like a weird
- 32:07Speaker 2: little bug. I do it again and then like this
- 32:09Speaker 2: thing pops up and I'm like, Okay, this doesn't look good.
- 32:12Speaker 2: So I went back and then it says on the
- 32:13Speaker 2: email like opening your browser. So I went to my
- 32:15Speaker 2: computer open it up, and then it was like almost
- 32:17Speaker 2: installed something, and I'm like, oh, this can't be good.
- 32:20Speaker 2: And then I looked up at the place that it
- 32:21Speaker 2: was from and it was like one of the first
- 32:23Speaker 2: Google search is like so and so invitation fishing, and
- 32:27Speaker 2: I'm like, oh god.
- 32:28Speaker 1: We should have known when it said opening your browser. Yeah,
- 32:31Speaker 1: in my head I'm thinking like, oh, Dan, yeah, I
- 32:33Speaker 1: supposed to be just one of those old schools old
- 32:35Speaker 1: school invites.
- 32:36Speaker 2: But it was like it was her email to my
- 32:39Speaker 2: personal email. I'm like, this is oddly weird.
- 32:43Speaker 1: So it's like either she got hacked or she was
- 32:46Speaker 1: low key try trying to get your email.
- 32:49Speaker 2: But I felt like if I, if I do get hacked,
- 32:53Speaker 2: I'm an.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Idiot, dude. That's what That's how I feel whenever I
- 32:55Speaker 1: see guys on Twitter. Yeah, when they get hacked and
- 32:58Speaker 1: it's like a crypto thing, and then their first tweet
- 33:02Speaker 1: back is like, man, I don't know how this happened,
- 33:04Speaker 1: but but it's like, Bro, you got DMed and you
- 33:06Speaker 1: clicked the link and you thought you were going to
- 33:08Speaker 1: get like ten thousand dollars.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Bro, that happened a debut one time, of course it did.
- 33:13Speaker 2: It was his Instagram. He somebody must have DMed him.
- 33:19Speaker 2: He opened something, and then all of a sudden he's
- 33:21Speaker 2: like I'm selling these MacBooks, I'm selling these these cars,
- 33:24Speaker 2: and we're like, Davy, She's like, dude, I don't know
- 33:26Speaker 2: what happened.
- 33:27Speaker 1: It's like, Dave, you know exactly what happened.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yeah, And like he started dming with I guess the
- 33:32Speaker 2: person had his account and they were like, send me
- 33:35Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars for your account back, and like it's like,
- 33:37Speaker 2: my account is not worth ten thousand dollars. He's like done,
- 33:40Speaker 2: What are we doing here? So he was off Instagram
- 33:43Speaker 2: for like four or five years, and then he finally
- 33:45Speaker 2: just got back like a year or two ago. He
- 33:47Speaker 2: was locked in forty five and damn me, he was
- 33:49Speaker 2: on everything else. He had like three different burners. He
- 33:52Speaker 2: had to delete his one burner because of his new job.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Now that's so funny, but it like if something had
- 34:00Speaker 2: happens to me, I know what happened, right, But I'm gonna, hey,
- 34:03Speaker 2: I don't know what happened. You have to have to.
- 34:06Speaker 1: But we also got to reach a point where, like,
- 34:08Speaker 1: I gotta believe technology is good enough to just shut
- 34:11Speaker 1: that stuff down.
- 34:11Speaker 2: How do you that? In the fucking uh? The calls, Yeah,
- 34:16Speaker 2: the calls. I've gotten a couple, like the last couple
- 34:19Speaker 2: of days, and I just haven't answered them. But I like,
- 34:21Speaker 2: I don't know if there's like a China game you
- 34:23Speaker 2: or not. But it's like, how do you how does
- 34:25Speaker 2: this steal a thing? It is twenty twenty.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Six, dude that And then also, I guess this could
- 34:31Speaker 1: be considered a more deep topic. But the healthcare system, yeah,
- 34:35Speaker 1: because we.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Both have your wife and Brooker are in the healthcare system,
- 34:40Speaker 2: so like we hear it firsthand.
- 34:41Speaker 1: But dude, mine recently I went to go do this test.
- 34:46Speaker 1: The place that I'm doing this test, my insurance is
- 34:48Speaker 1: with so cool, send them the insurance whatever, go do
- 34:53Speaker 1: the test. I come out of the test and they're like, okay,
- 34:58Speaker 1: so it looks like your insurance is out of netw work.
- 35:01Speaker 1: You know, I'm like out of network, Like no, like
- 35:03Speaker 1: it's in network.
- 35:04Speaker 2: We looked.
- 35:05Speaker 1: She's like, well, like I'm sorry, like SIGNA is not
- 35:08Speaker 1: with this, blah blah blah.
- 35:10Speaker 2: It's like at this point, like like what am I
- 35:11Speaker 2: supposed to do?
- 35:12Speaker 1: Like I have to so you know, I have to
- 35:13Speaker 1: pay like two hundred dollars out of pocket for this
- 35:15Speaker 1: bull crap test. And then you know, I like sen
- 35:19Speaker 1: send an email in talking about it and she's like, oh,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I see where the confusion is. Yes, this center is
- 35:25Speaker 1: in your insurance company's network. But the place that we
- 35:28Speaker 1: sent your labs to is not. So that's why you
- 35:31Speaker 1: have and that's who you have to pay. And I'm like,
- 35:34Speaker 1: well then why the heck are y'all partnered together? Yeah, dude,
- 35:38Speaker 1: it's that's ridiculous. And it's like two hundred dollars.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Yeah for some bull crap like something that kind of
- 35:46Speaker 2: like that happened to Brook. She got like a blood
- 35:48Speaker 2: test done forever go and like, I don't know, it's
- 35:53Speaker 2: not like it wasn't like a consent thing, but they
- 35:55Speaker 2: like asked her or they must have, like do you
- 35:57Speaker 2: want to do this test as well?
- 35:59Speaker 1: Right?
- 36:00Speaker 2: She was like sure, not knowing anything or like thinking
- 36:04Speaker 2: it was a part of like let's just say the
- 36:05Speaker 2: package she was getting. And then she gets like a
- 36:07Speaker 2: bill and it's like five hundred dollars. She's like what
- 36:10Speaker 2: is this for? And they were like, oh, you asked
- 36:11Speaker 2: for this test and she was like no, I didn't,
- 36:13Speaker 2: Like you guys just did it right, And we're like,
- 36:16Speaker 2: well sorry, And so now she has to like and
- 36:19Speaker 2: like she's going through school, like is in debt already
- 36:22Speaker 2: from school loans and everything. It's like how am I
- 36:24Speaker 2: supposed to afford this? Like I I didn't want that,
- 36:26Speaker 2: so like clean it up government. Yeah. Brooke was saying too,
- 36:31Speaker 2: like she just started a job last week. How's something
- 36:35Speaker 2: going very well? And like it sucks to hear because
- 36:40Speaker 2: one obviously one it's your girlfriend too, Like what was
- 36:42Speaker 2: happening is like I don't know for sure if they're
- 36:48Speaker 2: a for profit or nonprofit, yeah, because I know Vandy's
- 36:51Speaker 2: one of the Like it's different than when she's but
- 36:55Speaker 2: they were like, we need to get these patients in
- 36:57Speaker 2: and out, like you need to discharge them as fast
- 36:59Speaker 2: as you can, like we got to turn over really fast,
- 37:01Speaker 2: like we always have people coming in and one of them,
- 37:04Speaker 2: thank god, one of the like Brooke was saying, like too,
- 37:06Speaker 2: thank god. One of the other doctors were like what
- 37:09Speaker 2: are we doing here, Like she's a brand new PA
- 37:12Speaker 2: and we're out here like telling her to just churn
- 37:15Speaker 2: through patients and not really care about and she, like
- 37:18Speaker 2: the doctor was like disregard. It was like disregard what
- 37:20Speaker 2: she's saying, do not ever like uh, what's the word, Like,
- 37:26Speaker 2: do not ever forget about a patient's like health, like
- 37:28Speaker 2: make sure they are good before you try to turn
- 37:30Speaker 2: them over. Good on that doctor, And it's like why
- 37:32Speaker 2: why is that even a thing? Thinking about how many
- 37:34Speaker 2: places are being run like that, and a lot and
- 37:37Speaker 2: she said, like a lot of it is like top
- 37:40Speaker 2: down because but like those people are businessmen, they're not
- 37:43Speaker 2: medical people. They don't understand what's going on in the
- 37:45Speaker 2: medical thing. But they're just they just see all these numbers, like, hey,
- 37:48Speaker 2: we got to spin it out, and they're like, well no, somebody,
- 37:51Speaker 2: each comp each case is very complex in its own
- 37:54Speaker 2: so it's like we got to decide whatever. But like
- 37:56Speaker 2: the business people are like, we don't care. That's wasting
- 37:59Speaker 2: a smart dude, and it's like, what are we even doing?
- 38:02Speaker 1: It's sad man, and I just think there's just way
- 38:04Speaker 1: too many stories out there of people going in with
- 38:08Speaker 1: an issue that they have and then the doctor being like,
- 38:10Speaker 1: oh no, you're all good. But it's like you never
- 38:12Speaker 1: did a blood test, you never did like an MRI,
- 38:16Speaker 1: didn't do any of these things, and then they come
- 38:18Speaker 1: back three months later and it's hey, you have stage
- 38:21Speaker 1: three cancer and it's like, well, yeah, I came in
- 38:24Speaker 1: a while ago, and like, because you view me as
- 38:26Speaker 1: a dollar sign now, my whole family is that.
- 38:29Speaker 2: It's frustrating, it's annoying, I mean, there's nothing inside the
- 38:35Speaker 2: bus man that you or I can do about it,
- 38:38Speaker 2: which kind of sucks and we're just here bitching a bitch.
- 38:40Speaker 2: But yeah, it is what it is. But I'll see.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I forgot to start the timer on my phone. But
- 38:45Speaker 1: I feel like we've got to be going for it
- 38:46Speaker 1: for a while. But great episode, fun episode, fun episode.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Next week, wait till we're next week will be fifty
- 38:55Speaker 1: and then fifty one will be intern episode.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Correct?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Got you new crop? They got a lot to live
- 39:00Speaker 1: up to the last crop of interns?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Should we kind of how Busting did something for them?
- 39:06Speaker 2: They listen to the inside of us. I feel like
- 39:08Speaker 2: we should do it for this episode, kind of like
- 39:09Speaker 2: how they did it right? But can we think of something? Yeah,
- 39:15Speaker 2: they gotta they have to. I don't want to say
- 39:19Speaker 2: a personalized gift, not a personalized thing, but like, I
- 39:21Speaker 2: can't something for each guy because that could get expensive.
- 39:25Speaker 2: But how many guys do we have? We're getting four five?
- 39:28Speaker 2: I have no idea how manywhere for me? Maybe you
- 39:33Speaker 2: can think of your own kind of leaving you out
- 39:37Speaker 2: on an island. What you have to tell me? What
- 39:39Speaker 2: my brother's name is? I like that, and maybe for you.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll just maybe piggyback and say both both my brothers.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Or I could say your birth you could say your birthday. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:51Speaker 2: I like that.
- 39:52Speaker 1: You gotta find out what day my birthday is and
- 39:54Speaker 1: come in and tell me day one.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Should we do happy early birthday? What should we do
- 39:59Speaker 2: for Jack?
- 40:00Speaker 1: And Jack? Let's see what would Jack love? You have
- 40:06Speaker 1: to tell Jack what his favorite movie is.
- 40:11Speaker 2: I don't even know that. Yeah you do?
- 40:13Speaker 1: He he has that that hoodie.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Yes, I was gonna say that, or uh, his favorite band,
- 40:23Speaker 2: Yeah that him and g always would talk about. Yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 2: I do. I like the movie though.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, either one is either that one's gonna be a
- 40:31Speaker 1: deep pool deep poll. So man, maybe that's too hard.
- 40:36Speaker 1: What is a good one for Jack? Uh?
- 40:40Speaker 2: I think he's talked about it on here his worst injury.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one because I yeah, I think
- 40:47Speaker 1: there's other evidence out there that you would point to
- 40:49Speaker 1: it too.
- 40:49Speaker 2: And then for Coop, you gotta this is this will
- 40:56Speaker 2: be a different one. But you have to let him
- 40:58Speaker 2: know that the Cardinals are not doing they're They're not
- 41:02Speaker 2: destined for doom, right, you got to pump them up,
- 41:04Speaker 2: and like I have to give him a little pump
- 41:08Speaker 2: up speech.
- 41:09Speaker 1: And that you think the Cardinals are going to go
- 41:10Speaker 1: ten and.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Six, because what does he have to what happens if
- 41:14Speaker 2: he has to eat a lemon or he has to
- 41:16Speaker 2: do what.
- 41:16Speaker 1: He said this year, he says he'll do the hot ship.
- 41:18Speaker 1: He hasn't set the win rate yet. But that's what
- 41:21Speaker 1: I love about Coop. We we shook on it, and
- 41:23Speaker 1: I know that he's gonna set a fair number. Yeah,
- 41:26Speaker 1: that's not just like a give.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Me for him? Yeah? Are those three good? Yeah? That's good.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Sho we do one for Matt for Matt. Uh, you
- 41:34Speaker 1: just got a calmn chopped. Yeah, yeah, yeah, calm chop.
- 41:38Speaker 1: First day you got a calm chop.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Perfect. All right, there you go.
