- 0:35SPEAKER_01: You're not in a hotel.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Um he's looking fresh in his Portland co cap.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: It's just the two of us.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: Um everything good, Yupe.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: All good?
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: All good.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Good weekend.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Uh don't complain.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: So uh and you?
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, all good.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: All good.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: I've got to do the uh you know, we are brought to you by Y1 again, same as last week.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Black Friday is coming.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: What's this space?
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: First drop, 20th of November.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: There's some uh fresh uh paddle rackets and some new apparel.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: So if you're interested, there's uh there's a Instagram community to join, Y1 Instagram community.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Get out on it.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Now we can uh move on to the to the to the real stuff.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I guess I want to move back from last week because we stupidly because we're let's stick together, I didn't know they were gonna release the um Star of the Year awards.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Um actually they released it before we released the episode, so it looks like we were guessing when they'd already been released.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: But they have now released it.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Uh, did you see that?
- 1:45SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, solid.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: Um uh we guessed on bone, right?
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: Um Toro was on there, and um and Cherry.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, I think if if we if we're diving straight into that, uh I think um I think for Cherry it's it's uh it was it wasn't his best year uh on personal level wise.
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: Uh but I'm a thousand percent convinced and I might be very uh biased, but uh I do think it's right that he gets another nomination and I hope he wins it.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: Uh not because he had a really really good year, but because I think it he deserves to be uh player of the year at least once in his career.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: So um I understand your I think your sentiment.
- 2:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so that that's that's why I I I you can never be like um, and again, I might be completely biased, but I think that's why I can never be angry at Cherry being nominated for best player in the world, uh, because I think he deserves to win it.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: Um I think Tom Bone had out of the three the best year, as in he stood out the most.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: Um and if I'm honest, I'm kind of surprised.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Uh uh, but it would be a bit of a European fest, so maybe that's why they chose an Argentinian player.
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: But I'm kind of surprised um uh De La Torre is nominated, not because I don't think he's a really good player, because I think he is a really good player and he stands out for Argentina quite a lot, but just because um I expected a German player to be nominated because they won the Euros, they did quite well in pro league.
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: Like I think that kind of they always took that into account a little bit, and now all of a sudden they don't.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um, I do completely not understand.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, sorry, you go.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was gonna say before you before we go like deep diving into the players who are nominated, is it not just a I just get straight into the bitchiness, but like the FIH experts in inverted commas, um, they obviously sat around their little room.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Um, I imagine them sitting around a room, I'm assuming it's probably a Zoom call similar to this.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: And you know, for the last few years, it's either been sometimes it's been five players nominated, sometimes it's been six, and then this year they just sat around and they just went, hey guys, what about what about three?
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Are we are we absolutely yeah, you know, we know we are we are the experts, so we must know it's definitely these three.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: We can't add two more, two more or three more.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, don't be stupid, guys.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: It's definitely these three.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: It's just absolutely do you know?
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: I just think it's nuts.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I really don't get that part of it.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: Like it's always been five or six, uh, like you said, and now all of a sudden they think three.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: And it's not like there's not been any standout players to choose from, as in I know it's that we we did say it's tough to choose one because there's been there's not one that like really was above the rest, but I think that made it even that makes it even more logic to get like nominate like five or six because there's not been one clear winner.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Um I think I'm pushing my own agenda again, but I would love, I was chatting through it with um Sourceby the other day.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: I would love for them to do it the the Ballon Dall way, where it was like they nominated 30 guys, right?
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: 30 guys and girls, and it would be you know, like you can almost you know make a percentage, but it also gives these these players from lesser nations who don't have as much success, like you know, the the Castillan brothers, for example, if they were naming 30 guys, are definitely making that list, you know.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: South Africa, you know, you you you might be struggling for world renowned success, but you've got two guys who are at the the top of the game, and then you can almost filter it down from there to have a top five, a top three, and you actually then give everyone else a chance to be like, you know, it's not just about these experts and what they think, it's actually about the the players, the coaches, the staff, the the the uh the fans about who they think are the best.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: And if you give it a wider pool, then surely you're gonna get to a better, a better put like winner at the end.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I wish I disagree, but I couldn't agree more.
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: Like I think that's uh that's a way better uh angle to go uh to go at it.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: But uh yeah.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: Uh it's not like the FIH gives a shit about what we think or anyone thinks, they just do whatever they want to do.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: So uh yeah, well crack on.
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: It's three now.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: We might as well do it quickly, though.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: It's like for the for uh for people who haven't seen they they announced it a week ago or whatever it is now.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know when we're releasing this episode, but the uh there's only goalies and uh player of the year, and the women it's Sand of Ard, um Alex.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Oh mate, my my pronunciation is gonna be terrible.
- 6:36SPEAKER_03: I think.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay, and then Lee Hong from China.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: So Genye is from Belgium, and then Tom Bone from Belgium, Nicholas Delatory from Argentina, and Thierry Brinkman from Netherlands, and then the goalies, the women, Anna Vienendaal from Holland, Liu Ping from China, and Grace O'Hanlon from New Zealand, and then on the men's side, James Mazzarelli from England, Gene Paul, Dana Berg from Germany, and Thomas your own Thomas Santiago from Argentina and Arany Road.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Um, you've obviously already started to break down the the players, but like is there anyone on that list that you were like, yeah, they they like apart from maybe the Tom Boone, we've already talked about that.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Is there anyone that you think like definitely deserves that to be there?
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: Um look on the on the on the on the women's side, I think uh I don't really know how good of a year she had, to be honest, but Xandovat is for me one of the uh I would even go as far as one of the greatest hockey uh female hockey players um there is right now for sure, but there were there are like she's like all time.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: I think she stands out a lot.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: So uh I would say uh it's also right in a if you look in a broader, in a more uh expanded way, that she gets at least one more uh player of the year nomination, or at least one more that she wins it.
- 8:00SPEAKER_03: Um I think she's by far the best player there is right now, and uh so so I think that stands out for me.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: I really like uh again, I'm very unbiased, but I really like Santiago being nominated uh now that I've played with him for half a year.
- 8:13SPEAKER_03: Besides him being an absolute legend and a really, really good guy.
- 8:17SPEAKER_03: Uh uh, he's also a phenomenal goalie, and he's like uh like an old school uh and don't get me wrong, because I think he's a bit like Masarello.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: Uh he's a different style, but it's like just they stop, they just stop the ball, if that makes sense.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: It's not about technique, it's not about how it looks, they just get balls out of the goal, and I I really love that in a goalie.
- 8:36SPEAKER_03: And yeah, as I said, he's a top uh top guy who is very professional, so I really hope he wins it.
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: Again, very unbiased, but I really hope he wins it.
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: He deserves it.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: And I guess the Masarello, like you always said, how good he is, and he's nominated.
- 8:48SPEAKER_03: So well done.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: And congrats to you.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, thank you.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: I I guess they um the thing that's gonna be really interesting this year is you know, we have to talk about the the elephant in the rumors that the for the first time in years there hasn't been a Indian player nominated.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: So it kind of like leaves this very open door as to who is gonna win, um, and makes it fairly fascinating as to actually like this maybe makes it slightly more fair.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: Uh yeah, I think it will be in like uh it will be an all-time low number of votes, uh um in the on like uh like the the the the cumulative like the if you count up all the votes, it will be an all-time low because I think a billion Indians want vote.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: Um but if you're honest, rightfully so, I don't think and like uh we said Abhishek maybe had a good year, but India did did so poorly in the pro league.
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: Um you can't really um have have a player of them nominated for best in the world, and I think especially if you go to three, there's not a top three player right now.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, uh top three year.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: And I I I actually did some some research, you and and I don't know how like I went onto the FIH stats hub and I I pulled up the players, like what they've won and how many games they've played.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: So if I start with the women, obviously I don't know.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: So there's Lee Hong has played 14 games, she's got two goals, and she won the Asia Cup with China.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: You've got Xandevard, only played 13 games, it's fine, one goal, and she won Euro gold and pro league, and they they keep winning, obviously.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: And then you've got Alex Guinea, or I don't know how to say it.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: 16 goals, sorry, 16 games, three goals, and they got Euro bronze, um, and obviously had a had a good pro league as well.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: Um, like it's hard to say, you don't want to just put you know stuff behind goals because obviously that's not like Sandavard's game.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Um, but it's almost like how much weight do you put behind you know the success of the team, um, how impactful they were, um because it just becomes a little bit difficult when you start comparing over like continents.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 11:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, 100%.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: And I think it's tough in women's hockey because the Dutch are so dominant that it's like tough to to to like if let's say Belgium or China, if they perform well in a pro league, if they end up second, it's kind of more impressive than that Holland wins it, if that makes sense.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so you kind of like and it's also what still is not really clear to me is if it's like an MVP award or if it's like best player in the world award.
- 11:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: Like if you're the most valuable player, like to be to be completely fair, if you probably if you take Xander Wat out of the national team, they would there's a big chance they would still win uh uh a pro league, for instance.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh not to diminish anything Sanderwaat does, but just to say how good of a team national team is, um or is was, you know what I mean?
- 12:03SPEAKER_03: So it's it's more about impact, I think.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: So that's that's not what they made clear.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: Is it just like an like an uh yeah, it's a star award, it's not a yeah.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: And it's very interesting because I agree.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: Like, I play with if we move on to the men, I play with Nico Delatore and Soma in the Hockey India League.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: And um he's he's classed as like a like a world-renowned flicker, and we very rarely see like flickers get nominated.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: Um his his stats are I can go through the men's stats.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Is his boons is ridiculous?
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: He played 16 games this year, he scored 18 goals.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: Um, obviously they they tanked at the Euros and came fifth, but they got pro league silver.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Brinkman 15 games, three goals, and Euro silver and pro league gold.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: And then Della Torre, 17 games, 12 goals, and won the Pan America Champs.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: But I have to put an asterisk on this, it's like that's all great.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: But Della Torre obviously scored his the majority of his goals against you know outside the top 10 nations, so he only scored two goals out of them, 12 against Spain.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: So again, you don't want to go by goals, he's a defender, he's a fantastic player.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: But you know, I'd I'd love to know, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for these conversations and how they put names around and put these three guys above the other guys, how they found you know, it just just their process because it seems very subjective.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: It does seem very subjective, and I think it is very subjective.
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: That's why I think I would never make a good panel because I think Stuan Walker will be nominated for player of the year uh four times already.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: But it's um yeah, I mean it only took it it only took you ten minutes to uh bring up Stuan Walker's name.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean we we I guess we've we've kind of actually talked quite seriously about the awards and it's um it's been yeah it's it's it's it's just frustrating for me that that people can't get the recognition that they deserve if they have like an all-time year and you you actually get a fair shot at it.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: But what are you gonna do?
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: We live in a world where it's not as it's not always that simple, but I still would like if there's anyone out there who has a um load of money and would back me and you to start our own awards that would rival the FIH's, you get in touch with us and and we'll make it happen.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: What do you think, Yupe?
- 14:41SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm I'm very keen.
- 14:43SPEAKER_03: It it will be it again, it it will be very subjective though.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Um because me and Phil and me would be the expert panel.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: We would ask for opinions, but we would we would if they don't agree with our opinions, we would not take them serious.
- 14:58SPEAKER_03: Um but it would be the most prestigious award there is.
- 15:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you it would be like the Ballon d'Or of hockey.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: Exactly, 20 years time.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: I have you but I have got a small surprise for you.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: Um I know we're live on the podcast, but you've you've you've um you kind of have talked about about this a little bit, and um you just mentioned his name, so I thought why the why not make uh a guest appearance?
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Um so we have uh a special guest coming in midway through our show, episode two.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Uh hopefully his internet works, and um we're joined by you's favourite person in the world, Struan Walker.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Struan.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: Can you hear me?
- 15:49SPEAKER_04: Can you hear me or see me?
- 15:51SPEAKER_04: We got you, mate.
- 15:52SPEAKER_04: We can hear you, we can't see you.
- 15:54SPEAKER_04: Let's go.
- 15:56SPEAKER_04: What's up, Gangs?
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: You okay?
- 16:00SPEAKER_04: Oh, there he is.
- 16:01SPEAKER_04: Yay!
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, good man.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: We are actually recording already.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: I've surprised you but we're halfway through our episode.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: I can't wait for this as soon as Phil started telling me the start of the week.
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: I've been buzzing.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: I've I've never seen someone so keen, Philip, to join our podcast and to be to be in the same conversation with you and me.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: So I'm very happy for you as well, Stroom.
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: I'm happy as well, but I'm happy for you as well.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm happy to be honest.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: I'm very happy.
- 16:39SPEAKER_02: I think it's kind of my time.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: I've been asking Phil for quite a while now.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: So it's yeah, pretty buzzing that I'm on the pod, lads.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's been uh, you know, we've been me and Stroon have been cooking it up at training this week that like put I put it to him.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: I knew he was keen, but I put it to him, you want to surprise you on the podcast, you know.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Like we've got a guy who's inform, you know, doing doing absolute um absolute bits for for around your road.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: So we thought we'd uh we'd surprise you and and and have strength on to to he also has his own podcast, which I don't even know it's live.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: He's he's he's bothered me for ages about about a rival podcast.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: Is it is it did it ever make it out or not?
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Nah, not really, to be honest.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: We ended up uh sacking it off because it just wasn't really that good.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: And um I were having fun doing it.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: But um actually you guys started some beef with us, which kind of annoyed me at the time.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: Um did we Marx was telling me, yeah, yeah, you said Stream's got some podcast, I don't even know the name of it.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: And uh I thought we had some like pod beef, which I was kind of excited for to be fair.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: But you've got to upload an episode for for to have pod beef.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: It's like us in um Orchard.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: We do we did we've we've got pod beef with him, but but we don't really know why.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: He doesn't have any beef.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: He do has he got a podcast?
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: To be honest, I think it's more that that he has pot beef with us than we with him.
- 18:12SPEAKER_03: He I think he feels uh threatened by us.
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: Because he's like he feels he's like king of the like uh like the uh the the the king on the on the monkey rock, I don't know how you call it in English.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: Uh like the alpha.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: And he's uh he's threatened by uh by uh by our um podcast.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: I guess I I should do an an official introduction.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: We've talked about Struan, you've talked about Struan.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: Um Struan, I hope I've got this right.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: I've done I've done my research on you.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Struan Walker plays for Scotland GB and and now Arany Road, he played for Serbiton last year.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: You've got 40 Scotland caps and 43 goals um for Scotland, and you have six GB caps and two goals.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Um you've you've I mean, get into the important stuff.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: You've played your debut season in the Hoof class of this year, and your current joint top goal scorer with 15 goals, um, you're you're breaking records.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: There's there's an it's it's a great time where we can do this and we can like pull our strings and make it happen because we're in the midst of someone who's playing incredible hockey, and it's always good to first of all, like we can have a bit of fun here, but also like pick pick Struan's brain.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: You know, if if anyone hasn't been on Instagram and seen his goals uh just just this season of it's been it's been pretty crazy.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: I can't believe I'm the one doing the monologue about Struan.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: I should have left this up to you.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: Um you're this is the sweetest you've ever been.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: I'm still I'm cherished in this moment.
- 19:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we mean me and Struan have get get off this get off his cock now.
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: Uh uh we're not let's let's also let's let's just keep it keep it keep it the book.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh yeah.
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: Picking his brain is very dangerous territory, to be honest.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: I think he's even he's even more of an idiot than I am.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: So uh we're we're gonna go into that water, but um I'm be careful.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: Uh uh Sometimes crazy up here.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: It's crazy up here.
- 20:16SPEAKER_03: I'd love him to be able to be good.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it comes out, it's like it's even I get um uh surprised by it and get like um flabbergasted by it.
- 20:26SPEAKER_03: So um I want to we're we're gonna do like a PG 16 right now for everyone listening.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: Make sure you're ready for it's coming.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: I mean that's what she said.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: That was that was the nicest I've ever been to Strun.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: We have a kind of this this he he gives me way too much love, and I treat him with just a mediocre amount of friendship, which kind of works works well for us, doesn't it, Strun?
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it works well.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: I was actually wanted to mention this earlier.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: You are looking unbelievable right now.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: Um that's that's all that's it.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Uh that's all I kind of wanted to say.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: This week I've kind of um been been keep on I've had like another catchphrase where I'm like daddy with a skin fade, and Phil Ritner is a daddy with a skin fade because obviously he's the best looking dad in the team.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: So he's a still fit.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: He's a he's a fine looking man.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: And actually in the gym at Bresham, I just copy what he's doing.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Because he's also yoked.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: You know that you he's got a cracking rig.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: Have you ever showered with Philip?
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was just looking at his chest, because he's got a mad chest, and I've got like an inverted chest.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: Ah, welcome, welcome to the inverted chest club.
- 21:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's nice, isn't it?
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: Is that the tit is that the title of the episode?
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: The inverted.
- 22:05SPEAKER_03: I'm done if it's too soon, but um to to see the level.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: Um uh like Struan and mine uh my relationship like kind of um bonded quite quickly and it came to uh to like a um uh to a to a precender when we found when we found out uh that we both really like music.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: I was I was I was like pretty concerned about doing this.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: It was definitely a risk because you've already shown that the two of you in this room like we've done like two minutes and I don't even know where we've got to.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna attempt to keep it like semi-serious, and then we're gonna like you's coop is coming up.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: We're definitely gonna give you a chance, uh Struan, to show how much of a moron you are.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: So don't worry, it's all it's all to come.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: Um to be honest, I prepared a coop without Struan, and now I now I feel like my my coop isn't like uh uh Struan will only understand half of what we're saying, so I think I might have to adjust a bit.
- 23:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, okay.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: Well, we can someone explain to me what is you know what you don't have to be all billy big balls right now.
- 23:15SPEAKER_03: You're a listener of the podcast, and you are you and you can talk about the poster you have of me above your bed and shit.
- 23:21SPEAKER_03: Like we'll get to it.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: Don't worry about yeah, sorry, sorry.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: I'm your end here.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: I'm your end here.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: Back in your cage.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Good boy.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: So Stroom, before we go, like give us uh sorry, before we go off on a tangent, like give us a like how it's been at OR, how you've uh adjusted to life uh in Iron Hoven, like um obviously you've adjusted pretty well because of you know the obvious the obvious performances and and stuff, but like how's it how's it been?
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna I'm going to be serious.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: I'm going to be serious.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: So you've probably never seen this side to me.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Actually, no, you have, yeah.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: But um, no, to be fair, um, since like coming, it's been it's been it's been absolutely brilliant.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: Like I've had such a good time.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: Um it's weird speaking this, but uh yeah.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: I've done I've done I've been abroad before and like I just loved loved it like so much having the chance to like meet new people, new cultures, all that kind of thing.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: It really gives me like a bit of a buzz, to be fair.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Like I love it.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Um so I wasn't particularly nervous when I was gonna come out.
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: I was quite I was just pretty excited, uh, because it's just a new experience and it's new people to talk to and new friends.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Uh which I think what would you say is like the keys to uh your performances so far?
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Like, what have the OR guys given you to uh like release this?
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously you had a really good summer, you had a you had a good a good year for Serban last year, but what's been like the the factor that's taken you to the next level?
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: I think to be fair, like there's definite uh like support and like feeling very welcome at OR, uh which has helped, but actually like I have I can't give you boys all the credit.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: You deserve a lot of credit, but like I have had like maybe in the last year, 18 months, had like a bit of time to like um think and figure out what how I'm gonna like be better at hockey.
- 25:38SPEAKER_02: And a lot of it is like a kind of mental mental battle, or maybe like a bit of a um wall that I had to kind of break through, which was like I just have had a bit of a mental change, which was just like you you only get this chance to play hockey for a few years, so you may as well just like get after it and who cares what people think about you.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: All these kind of things.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: And then when that combined to like so like a lot of like mental mental work which I did by myself and then combined with coming to a club which is a lot of fun, um I'm I'm very happy there, and I think being happy there has helped like massively feeling confident just because I've got pretty uh pretty good players around me, excluding you.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: Um but in general just like having like lots of people who are who are fun, who are very good and who are like and also wanting to win, and I think that gives me a bit of like a fire in my belly.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: Nice um yeah.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you you how's it been obviously you've you've already kind of told us, but how's it been having having Struan around?
- 26:51SPEAKER_03: Um it's been good.
- 26:53SPEAKER_03: Um he said uh like 50 times in the past uh two minutes, uh and he only said my name once.
- 26:59SPEAKER_03: Um when I think when I think all of his uh success is uh credited for 95% to me, but hey ho, who am I?
- 27:09SPEAKER_03: No, he uh he's um it normally it takes uh I I think I've said this before.
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: Normally it takes players who come from abroad, uh it takes a while for them to settle in.
- 27:20SPEAKER_03: Um it takes a while to make an impact.
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: Like Phil, it took you uh more than a year, and all of a sudden when you started playing some decent hockey, you left.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: So um Struan from the get-go like immediately made an impact.
- 27:33SPEAKER_03: Uh but uh the same like is for for all the other players at Campbell.
- 27:37SPEAKER_03: Struan, of course, obviously because he's on the score sheet a lot, does really well.
- 27:41SPEAKER_03: I do have to say, um he does incredibly well, but he is uh he also sometimes does incredibly shit.
- 27:50SPEAKER_03: Like um, and he knows exactly what I'm talking about, I've uh and he makes jokes about it himself.
- 27:56SPEAKER_03: I've never seen a player uh hit aga make more divids on a hockey pitch than Struan Walker, uh but still end up with 15 goals in the first half of the season.
- 28:06SPEAKER_03: I've also never seen someone come into the league and score 15 goals, and half of those goals are against two of the best teams in the league.
- 28:13SPEAKER_03: He scored seven against Blumenau and Kampung.
- 28:16SPEAKER_03: Like he's a man of um in Dutch, we say Outerste, like a man of like like both sides of the spectrum, if that makes sense.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: Uh, I'm kind of uh intrigued by everything he does because he sometimes he talks uh and I know I'm chaotic, but he can like talk about one thing and the middle of his story completely switched to another thing.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: Um it's been very it's been a very special experience, and I'm all 1000% here for it.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: Um no, all jokes aside, I'm really uh like I'm very uh very happy that he uh came into our team uh made an immediate impact, which is not easy to do in the whole class.
- 28:56SPEAKER_03: Uh and also uh next to the field has a big impact on the team, um being the the idiot that he is, but uh yeah, who am I?
- 29:05SPEAKER_03: It takes one to no one.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think with you two, there's there's there's quite a few similarities as well.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Like, sorry, you but but there is like you both own sorry to both well I'm gonna go with you, I reckon.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: But like you both own mistakes really well, which could be considered a really nice quality.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: It's really annoying quality because whenever you messes up or really pisses me off, he just he kind of owns it and and says and be like, hands are up.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Like you came, you know, your mid mid-season stream, you came and we were chatting in the gym a few weeks ago, and you were like, I had the most horrendous game against uh I don't know what team it was, and then you managed to like score a goal in the last minute and you kind of make up for it because your name goes on the score sheet, but you were just like, I was terrible, and it's uh it's also kind of refreshing because like it's uh it's this like balance with your ego and also being able to laugh at yourself, which I think both of you have in a in abundance ego and being able to laugh at yourself.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: Is that is that fair?
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: I think that's fair.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: I'd just I'd just I'd say that's pretty fair.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: Um doesn't look as happy, but it doesn't matter.
- 30:21SPEAKER_03: I complete I completely agree.
- 30:23SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, couldn't describe it any better, to be honest.
- 30:27SPEAKER_03: I I do kind of it's it's um and it it's it's tough.
- 30:32SPEAKER_03: It's it's I don't know whether I see it as a compliment or whether I see it as an itch of that you think I've looked that I'm so like stroun.
- 30:39SPEAKER_03: Uh but I it's a joke, I love you, man, and don't worry.
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: I love you too, you might imagine.
- 30:46SPEAKER_03: Get off my cock, come on, let's go.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: And yeah, strewing, I guess, like last maybe one of the last serious questions for you is that like you're also doing it where you train, you like flying in and out every week, you're going back and forth, and you're actually training at Bishop with with the GB team Monday to Wednesday and then going away.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Is that helping you?
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: Or like is it a lot of people would view that as like a really difficult thing to do?
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: Like, um, but how how is that going for you?
- 31:15SPEAKER_02: I think it is helping me to be fair.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: Um sometimes you get to the end of the week and you feel like you're not trained enough with the team that you're about to play with on on Sunday.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: But actually I'm finding it completely fine.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: Um I just get I get quite a lot of energy from like both sides.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: Um when I'm in Eindhoven, I'm very happy.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: Like I'm having lots of fun playing hockey.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: And then when I have to leave, it's a bit gussy now have to leave after a game and stuff.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: But then I'm quite excited to go back and um train with the boys and see my mates again.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: So the the it is literally the the hours which I'm travelling isn't you kind of zone out and you're out of it until you get home and then I'm fine.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Um it's just sometimes I'm not I'm not finding it too tough to be fair.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: I'm having quite I'm both I'm just very happy in both places, so I think it would be a bit tougher if I wasn't having as much fun at Bisham or didn't have as many friends at Bisham or or the other way around, but actually I'm just pretty excited to like see people when I'm in both places.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: So for me right now it's absolutely fine.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: I'm having a having a ball and I do actually think it's helping my hockey um rather than rather than like making it worse.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: And and I do think like we should touch on this, like people are we're almost like in a point of when we watch Struan do stuff at the moment, it's like a man who's just got some golden like nuggets or some some secret source that he's not telling us about.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: And I think like you're lucky in your career if you hit this like level of uh of like I don't know form or I I don't know how to say it.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Like today we were training uh with I was training with Struan and we were doing some shootouts at the end and he completely messed up this uh this shootout.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: Um did two really nice ones, then he then he messed it up and he's going onto his backhand like away from goal and he like reverse chipped the uh the I can't remember which goal it was, it was like ridiculous.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: He reverse chipped it, and I just like turned to the few boys that was next to me.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: It's like it must be glorious to be in his world right now where you can mess up and suddenly something just like bang, doesn't matter.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: I'll just uh I'll just score a reverse chip over one of the best goalies uh in the world.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: It's not really a question.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: Is that not really a question?
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you have you felt that before?
- 33:42SPEAKER_03: All the time.
- 33:44SPEAKER_03: I don't know, I don't know how it is to not be in that space, to be honest, Philip.
- 33:48SPEAKER_03: Like, do you ever not have that?
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: To be fair, to be fair.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: I do actually have to be fair, like I thank you, Phil.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: That's very nice of you.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: But like the thing which I'm now kind of battling with is that I don't want this to be like a purple batch, like a spell.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: Um I'm actually just like I think maybe and I don't know, it's okay if people want to think that it's just like, you know, I'm not informed, but I'm actually in terms of like mental stuff, I'm um trying to work out what is the it's it doesn't feel that like it doesn't feel right now that it's just a thing.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: It's just like I'm getting I'm going through a spell.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: I feel like right now I'm working so hard on like the mental stuff that actually I hope, you know, touch away that it's it's not just a spell and this is just um something I can kind of keep on going on.
- 34:45SPEAKER_02: Of course you're not gonna score um you know ten goals every game, but you can kind of pop your chances of of playing well if you've um if you're meant to kind of like if you're working on yourself a lot, basically.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: That's a really good message.
- 35:01SPEAKER_03: I definitely sure as fuck isn't a spell, it's just it's uh that's why we signed you.
- 35:06SPEAKER_03: You better keep scoring, motherfucker, or uh put your next shit back to Scotland.
- 35:15SPEAKER_03: It's not uh no to be honest, like I think um if I can pitch in, I don't I don't think it is a spell, I just think there is there's like a couple a couple of factors in there.
- 35:25SPEAKER_03: I think uh one is that it's like with a new corner guy, for instance, in the HOF cluster or in the new corner guy within the internationally, there's always a level of unpredictability and a level of no one really knows who he or she is, that always makes it kind of the surprise element always helps a bit.
- 35:44SPEAKER_03: So I think that's that's part one.
- 35:46SPEAKER_03: I do think to be honest, that I've uh and it's a compliment, but don't don't get like don't be like me, just take the compliment with dignity.
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: I I haven't seen a striker who has better timing um than Stroun right now, as in jumping in front of his guy, uh being in the right position, and it's like not like Cherry is a has a bit the same, uh and you're not you're not even you're not even sniffing the same league as Cherry yet, Stroon.
- 36:14SPEAKER_03: So don't get on your high horse.
- 36:15SPEAKER_03: But like it's not a it's not a coincidence that he always scores a lot of goals because he was always in the right place.
- 36:21SPEAKER_03: And if you look at like Blumenau, for instance, the game, Blumenau away, wasn't a coincidence that he scored a goal because every time the ball just fell in front of his stick, but it was because he just ran really good.
- 36:32SPEAKER_03: That makes sense.
- 36:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so I do think if that's and I and I said to him already, um uh, which I think is a really uh not to put my own horn, but it's a really good quote of mine.
- 36:42SPEAKER_03: I think I said to Stroon, you're not smart enough to think a lot, so just don't think and do.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: Um which which I think helps helps him a lot, right?
- 36:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm gonna get that tattooed.
- 36:55SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, you can just see you can just see him on the pitch worry free.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: Uh like you don't uh lob um a goalie uh compound away in a big game.
- 37:09SPEAKER_03: You don't lob him if you're not comfortable in the team and not comfortable uh in your own skin, if that makes sense.
- 37:14SPEAKER_03: It takes some guts uh and it takes an amazing assist uh to do something like that.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: So uh yeah.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: I think that's uh it's a perfect uh point to to end part one.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, we'll back in a sec.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: Right, we're back.
- 37:33SPEAKER_01: We're just gonna um we're now gonna use Strohn as a as a as basically a a fellow host.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Um he can just crack on.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna fire him any more questions.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: We're just gonna find a way to take the piss out of him more.
- 37:45SPEAKER_02: Um you're announcing it to your fans.
- 37:48unknown: No.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: That I'm not going to tell us.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness, guys.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: I would love to.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: You actually suit the you and Brendan have similar qualities as well, to be fair.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: Both four.
- 38:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 38:02SPEAKER_03: They have a similar, similar lack of qualities.
- 38:04SPEAKER_03: That's what that's what you meant.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: They they both start sentences not knowing where they're going with it.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: I'd say that would be a similar quality.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: I do do that.
- 38:13SPEAKER_02: I do do that.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: Pretty frequently.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: Have you do you reckon you've got any other Brendan similar qualities, Struan?
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, 6-4.
- 38:24SPEAKER_03: Pretty pretty, that's it.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: I think Struan is also the type of guy to have to cross the towel in the corner of his room, to be honest.
- 38:32SPEAKER_02: Oh my goodness, that's ridiculous.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: His mom's gonna listen to this episode, so don't listen to this episode.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: You you're gonna have to face my mother, so um you don't know me well enough.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: You don't know me well enough to think that I would be worried about facing your mother talking about you being uh you being an idiot.
- 38:50SPEAKER_03: Like you're gonna you're gonna get a stern message from Ali Walker.
- 38:54SPEAKER_03: She's gonna be fuming with you.
- 38:56SPEAKER_03: Right to be honest, I don't give a shit.
- 38:59SPEAKER_03: I can take on your mother.
- 39:01SPEAKER_03: I love your mother.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: I want your your reactionslash comments to um oh I basically put out an Instagram to say like what you want to hear from us in season nine, and these are some people's like uh ideas, and you can just say if they're good or bad ideas, just uh just jump right in.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: Someone wants um, first of all, really funny what like frequent uploads.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: So I think I think I take that as like a a bit of a bitch, like where the hell have you been?
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: But can you do more?
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: You happy with frequent uploads?
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: I think I'm more of a you gotta keep him hungry, you gotta keep him uh you gotta play a little hard to get.
- 39:43SPEAKER_03: If it's all we do is give, give, give, and especially me on this podcast.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: We're not we cannot satisfy all the listeners' needs, so we gotta give keep him uh keen a little bit.
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: So we'll try, but we're not promising anything.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: I couldn't agree more.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: The the next one, special guests.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, we've got guests, it so you know we just probably have to add the you know.
- 40:07SPEAKER_02: I am a special guest.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: You got a special guest with you, mate.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Strength, if you were listening to our podcast, and we know you do, who would who would you most like to hear?
- 40:20SPEAKER_02: Um like Edris Elba or like Harry Styles, maybe someone big.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: You need people looking, mate, you need eyes.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: Um I'm probably not getting as getting as much eyes as Edris.
- 40:36SPEAKER_02: Um you mean more like realistic?
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: More realistic guess?
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: You've lost it.
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: You've lost it.
- 40:52SPEAKER_04: Realistic guess, probably Yeah, we were thinking about Michael Jackson or Freddie Mercury or something like that.
- 41:01SPEAKER_02: You could do an AI version of them.
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: I think probably like some big hockey.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: Uh is it Simon Orchard?
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Simon Orchard is doing the the Instagram stuff.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: He's he's good crack and he has great taste in hockey players, I must say.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: Um other than that, I think yeah, I'm gonna be able to do that.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: But people need to know, people need to know he did a he did a really funny Instagram on Strun.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: He thought he was English and then he hated him, and then he realized he was Scottish and he loved him.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: It was you need to go on to his Instagram and check it out.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: It's pretty funny.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: It's actually so embarrassing.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: Me and my mum and dad and my brother and sister, we all have like a this is new by the way, like uh Instagram group chat.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: Um, and my sister's like posted it into her group chat.
- 41:48SPEAKER_02: I don't even know how my parents know how to use Instagram DMs or anything, but they figured out and they've watched this.
- 41:54SPEAKER_02: And then my mum's gone onto her MacBook and found photos of 2014 comics in Glasgow and has found a photo of me and Simon Orchard.
- 42:05SPEAKER_02: So I sent it sent it to him, mate, trying my best not to sound like a proper fanboy.
- 42:11SPEAKER_02: But I like sent it to him and he was like laughing at my brilliant and then posted it today.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: It's quite funny.
- 42:18SPEAKER_02: I was 12.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: Right, that makes me depressed.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: I was at that tournament, I played in that tournament.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe yeah, I probably wasn't asking for England players.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: I don't reckon so.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with that.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: Right, next one.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Someone wants junior world cup talk.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: You pa we giving them that junior world cup talk.
- 42:44SPEAKER_03: To be honest, I think all under 21 players are little shits at the moment, to be honest.
- 42:48SPEAKER_03: They're a terrible generation, they have a really big mouth, and they have no respect for all the guys, so they're gonna talk about it a type of spoiled little shits who think they're good at hockey.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: Because I was one of those spoiled little shits.
- 43:00SPEAKER_03: So, no, we're not talking about the junior world cup.
- 43:02SPEAKER_03: Good luck with it, have fun.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: Try not to get the shits in India, and uh, we're not talking about it any more than that.
- 43:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, perfect.
- 43:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I like that response.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's good.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: Um someone asked us for a bit of effort.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: That's good, yeah.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, I agree, I probably agree.
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, uh someone asked I do have to respond.
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: I think Phil, I think you actually really put in effort.
- 43:35SPEAKER_03: I think I've sometimes dropped the ball a little bit, and I'm not proud of it, but sometimes I dropped the ball a bit in preparation wise.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: It's just because of my uh very rational confidence in being able to think on the spot and come up with absolute both on the podcast.
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: So that's why I don't really prepare because I don't feel the need to prepare.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: Some someone would say that I give you the tools to perform well on the podcast, but You know, I don't want too much.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Some would say that.
- 44:04SPEAKER_04: Should we have a computer, but they would say that.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: Phil asked me to set up the Zoom c zoom call tonight.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: A little bit more effort.
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: I mean, it wouldn't go go in a mess.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: It's fair, it's fair, Steran.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: Um, someone asked for more OR stuff, and I think we're giving him that.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: So I I don't I don't think um definitely I don't I don't think we can really elongate you's monologues weekly about his results and stuff.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: Um last one here.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: More about the English Tier 1 league.
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: What's the English Tier 1 league?
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't really know what they mean by that.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but they would say the Premier League, no?
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: Maybe there's like some sort of maybe still, yeah.
- 44:59SPEAKER_01: So someone's asked for another cool shoot with Yupe about Yupe's blood in a stick, but I don't know what we're meant to do about that.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: Uh how are they selling you?
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: They selling well.
- 45:16SPEAKER_04: Well, I don't.
- 45:17SPEAKER_04: Um then imagine they're sold out.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: Well, if if not, go online, go to a who who was produced who was actually getting we need to give them a shout.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: Someone's like stuck them online in Holland recently.
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: Is it yeah, Yumbo?
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: Yumbo.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: If you're in Holland, go to Yumbo.
- 45:34SPEAKER_01: There's uh there's Yup de Mall Sticks available with his blood in it.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah, probably not anymore because they're probably sold out because so they're so high in demand, but like probably they're still there.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: Like dead one you just remove costs in a few in a few months, you're just gonna see like 60% off you sticks.
- 45:55SPEAKER_04: I think I think people are answering something, probably.
- 46:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah, probably right.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: Well, we'll move on.
- 46:07SPEAKER_01: Uh so uh so refs, uh good, bad, gossip interactions about umpires.
- 46:17SPEAKER_03: I'm a bit on a cliff right now because as in I feel like the refs are like kind of improving the last couple um months, and I I do have somewhat um I do respect the refs, as in I think it's a shit job, and I'm happy that they do it.
- 46:34SPEAKER_03: They just sometimes really suck doing their job.
- 46:37SPEAKER_03: That really annoys me a lot.
- 46:39SPEAKER_03: Like, what can we say?
- 46:41SPEAKER_03: Like they're they they they fuck up, we fuck up.
- 46:45SPEAKER_03: Uh and I really need them to perform myself.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: I don't want to bash them anymore, to be honest.
- 46:51SPEAKER_04: Sunday they were quite good, Shroon, eh?
- 46:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 46:57SPEAKER_03: I mean completely sold out, eh?
- 46:59SPEAKER_03: You you didn't know.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: No, no, I don't have anything to say about the rest.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: I wasn't really coming.
- 47:03SPEAKER_02: When I think back to that game against Campong, I haven't got have not thought about the rest at all.
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: That's not that surprising, yeah.
- 47:12SPEAKER_03: You're all I guess.
- 47:13SPEAKER_03: No, you're only thinking about yourself and your own goals, and yeah, yeah, having a wank thinking about that lot.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's fair.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: I was thinking about the goals for sure.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: Um, someone wants to know about training schedules.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: Does it vary and what actually happens at tournaments?
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: Is that interesting to us?
- 47:32SPEAKER_01: Can we help them out with that or not?
- 47:34SPEAKER_03: What happens at tournaments is quite interesting.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: Training schedule, like, what do you want me to tell you?
- 47:39SPEAKER_03: I'm training twice on Monday, twice on Tuesday, once on Wednesday, twice on Thursday, once on Friday, and have a game in the weekend.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: That's my training schedule.
- 47:46SPEAKER_03: What else do you want to know?
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: We've answered it, mate.
- 47:49SPEAKER_01: We've answered it.
- 47:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sometimes sometimes I like I really like interaction with uh with our listeners, but um, and they're listening to us, so they must be somewhat stupid, but like uh they gotta come up with some more quality shit.
- 48:02SPEAKER_03: Like there's some good ones there, but if you don't have anything good to say, don't say it.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, can I can I suggest one?
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: No, no one at the end.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:12SPEAKER_01: Um the two people have asked for you pin the coop, and you know, just a few a few more getting somewhere.
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a few more minutes, and in your your your wish will be granted.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: So that's that's that's to make him keep listening, isn't it?
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: It's a little teaser for them.
- 48:31SPEAKER_01: Uh some some crazy person said Brendan.
- 48:35SPEAKER_01: I assume they mean Brendan, they just spell it wrong.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: Talk about Brendan or get Brendan.
- 48:44SPEAKER_01: Two people put Brendan.
- 48:47SPEAKER_01: Jesus.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: What is going on?
- 48:51SPEAKER_04: It's him and Maddie.
- 48:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's him and Maddie or him and his mom or something.
- 48:56SPEAKER_01: It's burner accounts, it's Brendan price.
- 49:00SPEAKER_03: Was it was it Brian uh Brendan's crusty towel?
- 49:03SPEAKER_03: What there was uh there was the account sending in there.
- 49:05SPEAKER_03: That's his burner account.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Brendan, yeah.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: He's just he's Brendan Burkett.
- 49:11SPEAKER_03: Was it the one?
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: Um this is a bitchy one, which is really funny.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: Everyone needs to get a microphone.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: That was what they want from us.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: Someone said return to to play and improve.
- 49:33SPEAKER_03: What does that mean?
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 49:36SPEAKER_03: Return to play and improve.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: I assume maybe they want to know how to improve, maybe.
- 49:43SPEAKER_01: So we we can I don't know how we can help you with that, but thank you for writing in.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: Um, oh, this is a good one.
- 49:50SPEAKER_03: No, not no, we're not gonna thank stupid ones.
- 49:52SPEAKER_03: That's not that's stupid.
- 49:53SPEAKER_03: Come on, send in another one, send in another one next time and and don't be stupid.
- 49:57SPEAKER_01: Send in a better one, grammatically come on as well.
- 50:00SPEAKER_01: So it's uh the last last couple regular episodes, you've been missed.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: That was nice, so thank you.
- 50:05SPEAKER_01: And uh more of telling more of you telling how bad hockey in England is.
- 50:10SPEAKER_01: I'm sure he can do that.
- 50:14SPEAKER_03: We haven't really spoken a lot about England.
- 50:16SPEAKER_03: Like that was the good thing about Brendan because he always gave some insight in like English hockey.
- 50:21SPEAKER_03: Talking about English hockey, you played atstead.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: No, we played them at home.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, there's no chicken, no chicken.
- 50:30SPEAKER_01: Sorry, sorry, it's this point.
- 50:32SPEAKER_03: There's also I really want to watch some highlights of England, to be honest.
- 50:36SPEAKER_03: Like the the one that goes, like the guy with the camera with on the iPhone 13 filming through a net or something.
- 50:43SPEAKER_03: I'd love to see that again.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there is now highlights packages from the halfway line where they put a package of highlights together on YouTube.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: So stuff's stuff's on the up.
- 50:56SPEAKER_03: Can you send me the link?
- 50:58SPEAKER_01: Of course I can.
- 50:59SPEAKER_03: Then I can then I can then the next week I can talk all about uh the highlights in your shitty league.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: So I mean, thank thank you.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: Thank you for people writing in and uh hope you enjoyed us uh picking apart your responses in uh in a very positive and enlightening way.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: Um it's now time to uh to end the episode with with the return of you pin the coop.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: Play the soundtrack.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: This is where can you can you do a good chicken noise, Shrean?
- 51:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 51:39SPEAKER_02: You want me to do it?
- 51:40SPEAKER_03: Okay, no, no, we just wanted to ask you and then oh yeah, just leave it there, mate.
- 51:44SPEAKER_02: I thought I thought I was just wondering.
- 51:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's pretty good.
- 51:54SPEAKER_01: Nice, man.
- 51:58SPEAKER_01: Full commitment.
- 51:59SPEAKER_01: I love the full commitment.
- 52:03SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 52:04SPEAKER_03: Okay, so welcome, welcome back to everyone in the coup.
- 52:07SPEAKER_03: I know it's been thoroughly missed, and I know uh your all your lives have not been complete without it.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: Um, so we're back.
- 52:14SPEAKER_03: To be honest, uh I love the surprise of Struan um joining the podcast and being uh being uh um becoming a um a permanent member of our podcast, um never leaving us again.
- 52:27SPEAKER_03: Uh Phil.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, yes.
- 52:33SPEAKER_03: I'm so uh no we'll first we'll we'll ask we'll ask uh the listeners who are very uh critical whether you're allowed back or not and whether they liked you or not.
- 52:43SPEAKER_03: Uh um but uh so I prepared something in the coop, um, but it's not really fun if uh like there's a third guy there.
- 52:51SPEAKER_03: Uh because I want to be like um you know, when they ask people and and they they name two players and you gotta keep one, you gotta send one away, and then a new one comes in.
- 53:00SPEAKER_03: I thought like so yeah.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: Why don't you do why why don't you do that with you with Shroun?
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: I'm happy to sit and listen.
- 53:10SPEAKER_03: Okay, but Schroen, I think, only knows half the guys I will name.
- 53:14SPEAKER_02: Ah, that is a problem.
- 53:16SPEAKER_02: Try and me.
- 53:18SPEAKER_03: Okay, but I'll okay.
- 53:19SPEAKER_03: Um I'm gonna so as you know, I'm an incredible uh uh improviser, so I'll improvise a little bit.
- 53:28SPEAKER_03: Okay, um Floris Millendorp or Arno van Dessel Millendorp Floris Millendorp or Zach Wallace Zach Wallace or Jorgurt Groon Zach Wallis or Artur de Slover Artur de Slover.
- 54:00SPEAKER_04: Artur de Slover.
- 54:12SPEAKER_04: Art de Slover now we're going into all the times.
- 54:18SPEAKER_03: Artje van der Slover, Art in the Slover or Robert van der Horst.
- 54:28SPEAKER_03: Robert van der Horst or Mark Knolls?
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: I know Mark Knowles.
- 54:33SPEAKER_03: Robert van der Horst Okay Robert van der Horst or Jamie Dwyer?
- 54:39SPEAKER_02: Jamie Dwyer.
- 54:41SPEAKER_03: Jamie Dwyer?
- 54:42SPEAKER_03: Jamie Dwyer or Paul Amott?
- 54:45SPEAKER_03: Uh Jamie Dwyer, I don't know who that is.
- 54:47SPEAKER_03: You don't know Paul Amott, I knew you did.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Okay, and Jamie Dwyer or Tony Noyer.
- 54:55SPEAKER_03: Jamie Dwyer.
- 54:57SPEAKER_02: Oh Jamie Dwyer was are you still going?
- 55:03SPEAKER_02: No, no, you can talk about it.
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: Jamie Dwyer is like the guy who I've been watching clips of since like a young boy.
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: Like I love Jamie Dwyer.
- 55:14SPEAKER_02: So Jamie Dwyer.
- 55:20SPEAKER_02: He's my top dog.
- 55:22SPEAKER_02: Goal scorer.
- 55:24SPEAKER_02: Small guy.
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: War number one, which is super flare.
- 55:29SPEAKER_02: Like so flare.
- 55:31SPEAKER_02: Actually, do you know I had the opportunity for GB to get uh number 10 or number one, and I completely shot my pants and went for a went for 10.
- 55:45SPEAKER_02: Well, I've always regretted it.
- 55:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you you weren't Billy Big Balls enough to take the number one, did you?
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: Nah, nah, nah, nah.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I wasn't.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: It's not really a thing here though, is it?
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: Number one's not really a thing.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: I think you would have got away with it.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: It's actually probably a bigger thing to get number 10.
- 56:02SPEAKER_02: Number 10 also as like a goal scorer was a bit like uh well, number 10, yeah.
- 56:08SPEAKER_02: You get you're gonna take number 10.
- 56:10SPEAKER_02: And then I but actually number one, if I was gonna get the heat for number 10, I shouldn't have just taken number one.
- 56:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, true, exactly.
- 56:19SPEAKER_01: Next time, mate.
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: Is it gone now?
- 56:21SPEAKER_01: Is number one gone?
- 56:23SPEAKER_01: No.
- 56:25SPEAKER_01: Why not switch?
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just switch, man.
- 56:28SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 56:28SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure we've got that in our budget to switch to get another set of shots.
- 56:34SPEAKER_01: You can.
- 56:35SPEAKER_01: It's been done.
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: Phil, if I do it, will you back me?
- 56:40SPEAKER_03: Don't be so insecure.
- 56:42SPEAKER_03: Just stand for your shit.
- 56:43SPEAKER_03: You scored 15 goals at war.
- 56:45SPEAKER_03: And you're a way better player than Phil ever was.
- 56:48SPEAKER_03: So why would why would you want Phil to back you?
- 56:51SPEAKER_02: I am no, because Phil's got that lore.
- 56:53SPEAKER_02: Phil's like a bit of a he's a legend in the in the game.
- 56:57SPEAKER_02: So like he's got he's got a bit of he's got a bit of weight behind his punches, you know what I mean?
- 57:02SPEAKER_02: No, I don't know what's going on.
- 57:04SPEAKER_02: He's also he's also the best looking guy in our team.
- 57:07SPEAKER_02: Phil, do you look incredible tonight?
- 57:11SPEAKER_02: What a buddy, yeah.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: Brother.
- 57:16SPEAKER_01: Is that is that the coupe done?
- 57:17SPEAKER_01: You are we still here?
- 57:19SPEAKER_01: Are we still uh up on top deck in the cooper?
- 57:22SPEAKER_01: Have you got more none?
- 57:25SPEAKER_03: You're gonna choose Jamie Dwyer.
- 57:27SPEAKER_03: Anyhow, did you would you have made different choices, uh Phil?
- 57:30SPEAKER_01: Uh probably a few, but I think we would have got to the end and I would have picked Turn Denua.
- 57:36SPEAKER_01: He was he was uh he was my guy.
- 57:39SPEAKER_01: Like when you were you growing up and watching him, as he was the he was the goat.
- 57:44SPEAKER_03: Like it's also fun to choose like two very between two very similar players.
- 57:49SPEAKER_03: So it's it's like um um if you if you have to choose between like Knowles and Horst van Horst, yeah, it's pretty fun to choose between them.
- 57:58SPEAKER_03: Like I thought Middendorp and uh Van Dessel is also like really they're kind of in the same ballpark, if that makes sense.
- 58:05SPEAKER_03: Like choosing between Struan Walker and Tom Bone.
- 58:10SPEAKER_01: Well, right, well, right now, yeah, taking Strue and Walker.
- 58:17SPEAKER_03: Fuck no, I'm not I scored 21 goals in the pro league, Tom Bone.
- 58:21SPEAKER_03: That's ridiculous.
- 58:24SPEAKER_01: That's messing up, but uh what um no, I think I would have also took, I would think I would also would have took Midendorp over Van Dessel as the starter.
- 58:34SPEAKER_03: Would have been would have been Wallace over Midendorp, yeah.
- 58:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you guys love Wallace.
- 58:41SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, but it's like you you you uh you you you hit hard from home, don't you, as well?
- 58:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm I'm not judging, it's just uh observation.
- 58:51SPEAKER_01: It's I I think someone raised a really good point state.
- 58:53SPEAKER_01: It's like with the goalies.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: I think goalies is a really good example of this.
- 58:57SPEAKER_01: It's like you watch a goalie, if you play with a goalie, you watch them make a million saves in training every single day, and so then yeah, you get a skewed version of like what you rate as a goalie, whereas actually what you should really take from a goalie is like in games, do they make the saves that you want them to make?
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: And like it because it's really really easy to basically be like, Oh, I peppered the goal today at training 500 times, but actually, like it doesn't actually matter.
- 59:26SPEAKER_02: But you're not also thinking about both ways because you can also see a rubbish goalie miss all the time, yeah.
- 59:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, like his rubbish.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but what if that rubbish goalie saves all the balls in the game?
- 59:42SPEAKER_01: Can you name and shame?
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: Can you name a rubbish goalie who saved in the game?
- 59:48SPEAKER_02: Rubbish goalie.
- 59:50SPEAKER_01: Well, no, surely you want the opposite.
- 59:51SPEAKER_01: You want to name and shame the guy who saves everything in training and misses everything in the game.
- 59:59SPEAKER_01: No, I couldn't because I we haven't really I don't know.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_01: If you I maybe the maybe the outlier doesn't actually exist, but it was a good point of basically like you saying about Thomas Santiago because you're training with him now like five times a week, you're gonna obviously see all of his amazing quality because you're seeing it like every day.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_01: And he's a legend, yeah.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_04: He is actually unbelievable.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I might have I might have like maybe I'll I'll I'll I thought of uh two uh dilemmas, like two uh old school coop questions.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_03: And now that uh now that uh struan is here.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_03: Uh um I might uh ask.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: Well, quickly quick very quickly.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_01: You sorry, just because we were just on the goalie thing.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_01: Struan um Mazarella or Santiago you're playing with them playing with them both.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_01: I'm playing both of them.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: Uh I would say Mars is mental.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_02: He's absolutely mental.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_02: Good right now.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: The one who uh I'd say Mars is pretty incredible at shortstopping the one.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_02: But in terms of uh PCD, I'm going fancy because so I'm just going to sit on the fence there.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_02: Um he really is like Brendan.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: He really is, like he's like the younger, like maybe even more like tangent version of Brendan.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna I'm gonna go.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_03: Can't make uh can't make up his mind.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_03: Definitely, Brendan.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_03: So I'm gonna put an even uh harder uh like Phil.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_03: If you had to choose or or uh never uh again uh a cup of coffee or never again a pint of Guinness.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: Never again a pint of Guinness.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_04: I know for you, but I know that's his that's his that's his his diesel, that's his that's his gasoline.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_04: This is a deal with the devil right now, mate.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_04: Um like choosing between your mom and your dad, isn't it?
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_04: But yeah, uh I can do with tea.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go never again a cup of coffee.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_02: I thought so.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_02: I can drink tea in the morning, it's fine.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_01: He's living it right now as well.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_01: He's like, Oh, just I'll just have tea, I'll be fine.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_02: As if I'm actually wake up tomorrow morning and not let a coffee.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_03: So and then and then I have one more.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_03: Who would pull off um the other guy's uh headband more?
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_03: Would you rock Phil's uh ninja uh slightly gayish bandana?
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_03: Or uh would you, Philip, uh pull off Struan's uh very crusty white um took it, had it on his head too long, covered his sweat uh band.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_03: Who's answering?
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_03: Any?
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_02: I'd pull off I'd pull off Phil's Nimja headband better than he would pull off my headband.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_03: Very very modest of you, very humble.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_03: Like I know you can look.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_01: I'd love to like I'd love to I just wouldn't wear a sweatband.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_01: It's like for some reason I just can't, I couldn't deal with a fucking big sweatband over my head.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_01: I know that seems ridiculous, but it just it just you wear a bandana.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I just think it looks really shit.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I knew that that was loaded at the start of it.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: I knew that was loaded.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_02: I would I just wouldn't be able to wear it.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_02: I couldn't bring myself to wear it.
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_02: So come on.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_01: You I've got you, I've got a really good one, right?
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: Who out of me and you would pull off Struan's hoop earring bear?
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_03: Well, that's not a question.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_03: I think let so let's be honest.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_03: I think you are the most handsome guy I've ever met, Philip, like incredible.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_03: But I think I could rock the the earring more than you.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_03: I think it's more up my alley.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_03: I think you're like uh you're like the the uh the very uh uh typical English dad right now, and you don't really care about how you look, and it's very uh very practical.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_03: Uh and I'm more of a stylish uh uh guy, so I think I would put it off better.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_03: I've like looking at Strue now, I'm I'm always thinking, oh, maybe maybe I would rock it.
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_03: I would rock a gold one though, not a silver one.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_03: I would rock it up.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_01: Well, mate, well, Struan, who do you reckon?
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_01: I didn't really get a chance to pitch in then, but you don't have to.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_01: I I don't think I'm gonna take this personally.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_02: So you would suit anything, um absolutely anything.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_02: I do, however, think that and the reason why you'd suit everything is probably the best looking man I've ever seen.
- 1:05:01SPEAKER_02: But the I would have to go with Phil.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_01: He he probably would because there's also there's also a certain amount of arrogance that comes with the earring, and that's where you turns in, that's where he is is at his do you know if we if we had a if we had you know it'd be really funny if we had like a a proper graphics guy on Instagram who could like photoshop me and Struim with the different headbands and me and you with the earrings, and then you could like put this.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_01: This is what it'd be like if you had like a professional podcast, you could like put this clip, put some images out, but you know, maybe we'll never know.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_02: Well, this is what the listeners are asking for.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_02: They're asking for a little bit more effort, so maybe both of you have to get earrings.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_02: I think that's the only way to solve it.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, this has been uh if we were a good uh podcast, we'd get them images out, but we we probably won't.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_01: We'll just probably be back next week for episode three.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_01: So, Strun, it's been an absolute pleasure having you.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_01: Um it's probably gone exactly how I thought it would go.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_01: So it's been a pleasure, pleasure having you.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_01: Um thank you for dropping by and good luck, keep scoring the goals.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and if someone can send us an email or like uh a text or whatever, like uh I can name Phil Phil's phone number.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_01: You can send him a text uh on whether uh uh let's not start doing this again.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_03: We I want to know whether we whether whether we want Struan back or not.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_03: His phone number is just send him a text and let us know whether you would like to uh uh uh get Struan back or not.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_01: Or just write to us on Instagram like most people do.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_03: Also an option, or make an email.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_01: No, okay.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_01: So right.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_01: This has been Let's Let's Stick Together episode two.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_01: We'll see you next week in a bit.
- 1:07:24unknown: Right.
