- 0:003 lifelong friends, 6 trusty balls and endless NFL ticks.
- 0:05Welcome to three guys 6 Balls NFL Podcast.
- 0:08Welcome to episode 50 of Three guys 6 Balls NFL podcast.
- 0:11I'm your host Joel, and I'm here with my two Co hosts Will and
- 0:14Avery. There's pretty much nothing
- 0:16going on in the NFL right now, so we're not free to see it.
- 0:20The draft is still a couple months away.
- 0:22There's pretty much nothing to talk about.
- 0:24Really the only thing that's happening is the Miami Dolphins
- 0:26are releasing their players, their whole team basically.
- 0:29So that's pretty much it. So unless you guys have
- 0:31something that you want to talk about, I got nothing.
- 0:34So we can just get straight to the scouting reports if you guys
- 0:39don't have anything. I would say college basketball,
- 0:41but I know you guys would turn off the podcast before we did
- 0:44that, so we'll just do scouting reports.
- 0:46We already talked about that last week and it was too much,
- 0:48so we can't talk about it anymore.
- 0:52All right, so let's just jump right into some more scouting
- 0:56reports for you guys. So just to recap what we're
- 0:58doing with these scouting reports, We're going through ESP
- 1:00NS top 50 Big board for the 2026 NFL Draft.
- 1:03We're going down the list one through 50, scouting 6 players
- 1:07each week and then creating our own top 50 big board as we go
- 1:10along. So last week we scouted players
- 1:12one through 6 on the ESPN Big board and this week we're
- 1:15scouting players 7 through 12. Before we get to the scouting
- 1:19reports for today, I'll give a quick recap of where we're at
- 1:21with our top 50 big board. So because we've only discussed
- 1:25six players on ESP NS Big Board, we currently only have six
- 1:28players on our big board. And here's how we have those six
- 1:31players ranked as of right now. Number one is Ohio State safety
- 1:34Caleb downs #2 is Ohio State linebacker Arville Reese #3 is
- 1:39Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza #4 Notre Dame running
- 1:42back Jeremiah Love, 5 is Miami edge Ruben Bayne junior, and
- 1:46number six is Texas Tech edge David Bailey.
- 1:49So at the end of today's episode, we are going to fill
- 1:51out our top 12 spots on our big board.
- 1:54So we'll come back to this at the end, and then we'll see how
- 1:56we have these players ranked. So as I mentioned today, we're
- 1:59covering players 7 through 12 on ESPN's top 50.
- 2:03And just so you guys know who those players are #7 is Utah
- 2:07offensive tackle Spencer fano #8 is Miami tackle Francis Maui
- 2:11Noah #9 is Arizona Statewide receiver Jordan Tyson, 10 is
- 2:16Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles, 11 is Ohio Statewide
- 2:20receiver Carnell Tate, and 12 is Auburn edge Keldrick Faulk.
- 2:24So we'll just go ahead and start with the number seven player on
- 2:26the ESPN Top 50 big Board, which is Utah offensive tackle Spencer
- 2:31Fano. Well, you're the offensive
- 2:33lineman of the show, so I'm going to have you start this one
- 2:36off here. Give us your scouting report for
- 2:38Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano.
- 2:41Spencer Fondo was a three-year starter at both tackle slots.
- 2:43Played both left and right. He's got quick feet with good
- 2:46lateral agility. Honestly whoever drafts Fano
- 2:48should look at switching him to guard.
- 2:50I mean just right off the right, off the RIP here.
- 2:51I'm moving in positions. He is not big enough to play
- 2:54offensive tackle. That's like his main downside.
- 2:57He's only 305 lbs ish now. Is that really a big deal in the
- 3:01NFL? No, because he's these
- 3:03organizations will let him gain 40 to 50 lbs with their food
- 3:07program and their weightlifting program.
- 3:09He will gain that seriously in one year through muscle and just
- 3:13pure build up. He will get bigger, that is no
- 3:15question. But I think I think his biggest
- 3:18strengths are downfield run blocking.
- 3:21He is being touted as a good blocker, which is just frankly
- 3:26not true. I don't even know how to say
- 3:27that. He's being said that he's good
- 3:29and he's really not. When he comes off the line of
- 3:32scrimmage and he he passed blocks as a tackle, As a tackle,
- 3:36you're setting the edge, you're creating the pockets.
- 3:38And so he's kick sliding back and he's very fast.
- 3:41He has very fast, quick lateral movement with his feet.
- 3:44The problem is he commits very hard to the outside edge and he
- 3:47gets beat inside a lot. And if you know anything about
- 3:49the fastest spot from pointing to point B, it is a diagonal
- 3:53line. And so if he instead of the in
- 3:55the NFL, these guys are very good and we talked last week
- 3:58about David Bailey, his biggest move is going to be the spin
- 4:01move inside. He over relies on it.
- 4:03Well, that would get Spencer final every single time.
- 4:06Every time he's going to get beat by a spin move.
- 4:08Every time he's going to get beat by an inside swim, he's
- 4:10going to get beat by by leveraging ends regularly.
- 4:15And so if they move him to guard, what he's very good at is
- 4:18when he makes contact at the line of scrimmage or is
- 4:21downfield blocking the linebackers and second level,
- 4:24he's very good at making that contact and not letting go.
- 4:27And so as a guard, I feel like you are making the immediate
- 4:31contact with the the three techniques on the nose guard,
- 4:34defensive tackle, whoever. And guards are typically
- 4:36smaller. And because he's so good on the
- 4:39run, guards are constantly pulling, That also plays to his
- 4:43strength. I think that he's OK about
- 4:47watching film on on Spencer Fano and Francis Malenoa.
- 4:51It has me a bit worried for this entire entire draft class of
- 4:54tackles if these two are the best guys.
- 4:55I agree with Will. I think he basically spelled it
- 4:58out pretty quickly right before we hopped on live.
- 5:01Will pointed out that he thinks there is a big disparity between
- 5:03two lineman. And I also agreed with that, but
- 5:06I was just making sure that we were not on opposite ends of
- 5:10that and we are not. We are in agreement.
- 5:13I agree with everything you said.
- 5:15I think I having said that though, there's been other
- 5:18offensive lineman that I've seen that weren't particularly great
- 5:21in college that ended up improving in the NFLI.
- 5:25Think just like there's college players that don't translate to
- 5:27the NFLI think there's a lot of times there's players that
- 5:30didn't necessarily perform super well in college but then figured
- 5:34it out later. I think it's a little less
- 5:35common. I would still put this guy in
- 5:38the first round. I think that, but I, I wouldn't
- 5:41say that. I would say if I was a team that
- 5:44really needed a lineman, I would go for him.
- 5:47But if it was just best over best available player, I don't
- 5:50think I'd go for him in the first round if you didn't need
- 5:53absolutely need help at at. I don't think he's a day one
- 5:56starter. He's not he's not coming in to
- 6:00to fix your offensive line. We have a full on the left hand
- 6:03or right side who let's get this guy to fix that.
- 6:05He's not going to do that. He may eventually my big, my
- 6:09honest and my truly my biggest concern for him is, as I
- 6:11mentioned, he's a three-year starter, but yet he still makes
- 6:15really sloppy moves. When when pass pro, when in pass
- 6:19protection and and when trying to run block at the line just
- 6:23like get up and and run block, he makes really sloppy moves
- 6:26that I would expect to not see from somebody who's been
- 6:30starting for three years. I think also he does have, I
- 6:33think he's got better mobility than a lot of other guys and I
- 6:36think if he can wrap his head around some of these different
- 6:40defensive schemes, I think he has the tools to be able to
- 6:43handle it. So maybe it's a bit of coaching,
- 6:45maybe it's just acclimating better.
- 6:49I'm not really sure, but yeah. Yeah, so since you guys just
- 6:53took a big dump on this guy, I'll say some good things about
- 6:55him. So Spencer Fondo wins with his
- 6:59ability to move well, he's not a guy who wins with power or
- 7:02strength. He wins because of his ability
- 7:04to move. He I think he's explosive out of
- 7:06his stance. He's got good footwork to
- 7:08recover when he makes mistakes. He's really good at getting to
- 7:10the second level to take on multiple blocks in the same
- 7:13play. And because he has the quickness
- 7:15and the agility, I think that gives him the ability to win.
- 7:19He does not win with power. One of the knocks on him is his
- 7:23frame like you mentioned, he's not the biggest guy, he's not
- 7:26typically what people look for in offensive lineman, but that
- 7:29allows him to win. That's how he wins is with his
- 7:32lighter frame allows him to move better than some of these other
- 7:35guys who win with power, the stronger guys and the bigger
- 7:37guys. So even though he's not the most
- 7:40powerful guy, I do like what he gives you with as far as
- 7:43intensity on every snap. I think he finishes his blocks,
- 7:47he blocks till the whistle. Really, that's just how he wins
- 7:50is just with his ability to move and he continues to play until
- 7:54the end of each play. The only things that I negative
- 7:56I have to say about him are things that you guys already
- 7:58mentioned. But I think that how he wins is
- 8:01his ability to move, not with power.
- 8:04And I think that the right team could be a good fit for him in
- 8:08the right offensive scheme. One of his biggest problems, one
- 8:11of Spencer Farney's biggest problems was their right guard.
- 8:14Their right guard, that dude was bad.
- 8:16Red shirt senior started so many games in college.
- 8:20He left Spencer final hanging out there as tackle combo
- 8:24blocks, things like that. They were they were supposed to
- 8:26pass pass it off the the defensive lineman one or the
- 8:30other to the second level. That right guard was not good
- 8:34and did did final no favors. So I, I think in an NFL system
- 8:40where that's just not going to be an excuse, look like you're
- 8:42just not going to be able to not do your job.
- 8:44I do think he will be able to play better because again, like
- 8:47I said, he plays well on the run.
- 8:49And when you want to get the second level, your tackle, the
- 8:52other ones usually getting the second level, the outside guy on
- 8:54the combo block, whether it's guard center guard, your guard
- 8:57is going second level, guard tackle, your tackle is going
- 9:00second level. So I do think part of my
- 9:02negativity did come from the system he was in, but still I
- 9:07would like to see a bit better from him.
- 9:09So will do you think that his weaknesses that you mentioned
- 9:12like the things that you don't like, you think they're directly
- 9:14related to the right guard or are they things that are him
- 9:19specifically? I think some of them are.
- 9:22But when you're on an island and pass pro and as tackles, you're
- 9:25on that island and pass protection and he's just getting
- 9:28beat inside because he's oh, he he over commits his he over
- 9:31commits to his speed. Like we all say, he's got really
- 9:34fast lateral movement. He's very fast.
- 9:37He actually has been attributed to tight end level speed
- 9:40regularly just too big for a tight end, too small for a
- 9:43tackle kind of thing. And so, yes, except for when
- 9:46he's out there alone, his past protection is that's a
- 9:49one-on-one thing. And I just don't think he's good
- 9:52at it unless he's able to stay at the line and it's a quick
- 9:56pass play where you had to get hands down.
- 9:58When he has to set the pocket and he gives rushers time to get
- 10:02into him, I don't think his hands are very good.
- 10:05His initial hand attack is not good.
- 10:07But if he does get his hands on you, he's very good.
- 10:10OK. All right.
- 10:11Well, if you guys don't have anything else on Spencer Fonto,
- 10:14we might as well just transition that right into the number 8
- 10:16player on the top 50 big board, which is Miami offensive tackle
- 10:20Francis Maui. Noah And well, I'm going to have
- 10:22you go first again because you're the offensive line
- 10:24expert. So tell us about Francis Maui
- 10:27Noah. I actually had to go back and
- 10:29check ESPN's big board because I did.
- 10:32I did film study on on Spencer Final and then Francis Maui Noah
- 10:36back-to-back. And I had to go back and check
- 10:38that billboard and say, wait, which one was wearing tire?
- 10:41Francis Maui Noah, I think, is a true product of the system.
- 10:44He was in in every good way possible.
- 10:47His head coach Mario Cristobal offensive lineman at Alabama,
- 10:51offensive line coach at. Alabama.
- 10:53He's good though. He very well, excuse me,
- 10:55offensive lineman at Miami, offensive line coach at Alabama
- 10:59and then now he's head coach at Miami.
- 11:02And so he cares deeply and I saw it literally in person at Oregon
- 11:07was there on I mean, my family shows up an hour early is
- 11:14already 2 hours too late to a game to to a football game.
- 11:18Like like you, we are showing up before warmups were there gates
- 11:23open? We're in the building and so
- 11:25when the when the the big sexy's come out to warm up, Crystal was
- 11:28right there in the middle of it. He was getting his hands on him.
- 11:31He was telling him how he was coaching him up.
- 11:34I witnessed it in person and I can't imagine it was any worse
- 11:37or any different down in Miami. Some notable things here.
- 11:40Maui Noah started 42 games over his three seasons.
- 11:44This man is 20 years old, started 42 games at Miami.
- 11:48He's 20 years old. That is an unbelievable amount
- 11:51of experience for his age. His technical ability has grown
- 11:55significantly over the last three years.
- 11:58Between last year and this year, he cut his sack down from 5 to 1
- 12:01while also cutting his right. This says to my bad, cutting a
- 12:05sack down to two, but still. And he also cut his penalties
- 12:08nearly in half. He's able to send some.
- 12:10So he he's very powerful, wonderful blocker in both pass
- 12:13and run game on long sustained drives.
- 12:15When fatigue sets in, he she starts to play a little sloppy
- 12:18and a little bit lazy. But in the NFLI actually think
- 12:21the game is slower than college because on long sustained Dr.
- 12:24chances are they're going to take ATV time out somewhere in
- 12:26there. So he will have a bit time and
- 12:29any ability. I hope not, but also stamina is
- 12:32something that can be worked on. I also think that he needs to
- 12:36have his head in a swivel more because he late blitz
- 12:39recognition is is also one of his weak weak points.
- 12:42But his powerful hands and his ability to keep the game in
- 12:45front of him both in run and pass makes him to me way better.
- 12:49Way better than Spencer Fano. I was shocked when Fano was
- 12:52ranked above him. Yeah, I also have Maui Noah
- 12:54ranked above Fano. One of the things that I noticed
- 12:57Will that he needs to work on and you can tell me if I'm wrong
- 12:59or if this is correct in your opinion.
- 13:01But I thought his hand placement gets out of defenders frames too
- 13:04much. Like if they make a counter move
- 13:06on him, his hands will be outside of the frame and like
- 13:09it'll get up into their shoulder pad.
- 13:10And like I saw his hand on their back a lot of the time.
- 13:13Like am I correct there or is that just am I way off?
- 13:18No, you're correct. And I think that will come more
- 13:20with coaching that comes. And those kind of those kind of
- 13:22things happen when you're uncomfortable with the scenario,
- 13:26you're in the past, the rush is coming at you, you get set early
- 13:30and then somebody makes an adjustment, they counter your
- 13:34set and you have to recounter. And so his body is going the
- 13:37wrong way. And so he's late to the to the
- 13:39attack. And that's when those kind of
- 13:41things happen with an athletic quarterback, somebody who can
- 13:45move. Well, that's not as big a deal
- 13:47because they can they can roll out of the pocket.
- 13:49If you got Matt Stafford back there or I don't even know who
- 13:53the pure pocket passers are anymore in the league and Aaron
- 13:57Rodgers or Matt Stafford back there, that is detrimental.
- 14:00Well, I mean, that is that is a huge deal.
- 14:02Even Sam Donald, these guys back there who don't move as well.
- 14:07If you have to watch him into the pocket rather than watching
- 14:10him out of the pocket, then that that upsets the the entire play.
- 14:14So you had that. That just comes from not being
- 14:16as comfortable reacting in the moments.
- 14:19I agree with all you guys. I think this this is a big boy.
- 14:22Everything I've seen from this guy is just imposing his will on
- 14:26defenders. I would say that, yeah, As far
- 14:29as areas of improvement, I would say, yeah, sometimes he gets a
- 14:32little sloppy. I think as and then Will did
- 14:35point out, you know, there's a little bit more breaks in the
- 14:37game in the NFLIII can see this guy getting a little too tired
- 14:41just because of his sheer force. I mean, this guy, I mean, I know
- 14:45he's going against college guys, but like Will said, he's only
- 14:4820. Like he is big.
- 14:52And every time I saw him block anybody, I mean, he is he is in
- 14:57control of that block. I see a lot of lineman that are
- 15:00basically just doing what they can to just kind of keep him
- 15:03out. I mean, I was looking at Will
- 15:04Campbell during the Super Bowl, just trying, just putting some
- 15:09hands up, but just getting manhandled.
- 15:11And every time this guy's blocking, it looks like he is in
- 15:14control. I think he's a stud also a bit
- 15:18more mobile than I thought he would have been because of his
- 15:22size and just just sheer strength, but I like him a lot.
- 15:26Yeah, I like him a lot, too. I think my favorite thing about
- 15:29Francis Mauenoa is the anchor that he has, and it's the same
- 15:32thing that I loved about Arville Reese.
- 15:34I love Francis Mauenoa's anchor against other players who try to
- 15:38win with power. Francis Melly, no, it doesn't
- 15:40get moved back against players who try to bull rush him.
- 15:43It's like defenders are trying to push back a brick wall and
- 15:46it's just not moving. I think the way that he finishes
- 15:49his blocks is another thing that's really impressive to me.
- 15:51I saw him finish his blocks with force and when I watch his tape,
- 15:55just seeing how he blocks and finishes blocks is very
- 15:58impressive. Like time after time I would see
- 16:00him just overpowering defenders to the ground.
- 16:03The other thing that I think it he needs to work on though a
- 16:05little bit is when he's blocking like specifically downfield, he
- 16:10does try to overextend himself and lean too much so that his
- 16:13feet are like behind him. So I think that could get him
- 16:17into a little bit of trouble in the NFL because it just gives
- 16:20the defenders a little bit easier of a time to get off of
- 16:22his block because he doesn't have his full stability on the
- 16:25ground because he's leaning so far forward.
- 16:28So that's one thing that he does need to work on.
- 16:30But overall, this guy's got power.
- 16:32He can move really well. I think he does really well in
- 16:34the zone run blocking game. He just finishes with force and
- 16:38I just think he's going to do very well in the NFL.
- 16:41Like we mentioned already, he's only 20, so he's only going to
- 16:44get better from here. One thing to note about most of
- 16:46these offensive lineman, especially Noah, we've all kind
- 16:48of mentioned his his fatigue that sets in.
- 16:52Look for that a lot in like the late part of the season.
- 16:55I understand they just played 1820 games or whatever it was to
- 16:59get to the national to get all the way and play national
- 17:01championship. But the difference between a
- 17:04college season and NFL season, they are quite vast when it
- 17:08comes to stamina and how much you're actually playing.
- 17:11So so look for that quite a bit late season.
- 17:14I he's going to get in my opinion, he should be drafted
- 17:16top five, honestly. So Cardinals, jets somewhere
- 17:20right in there. And the problem is those those
- 17:22are teams that can't give up sacks late in the game or late
- 17:26in the season. And so so that is the only main
- 17:29concerns I would have right now all.
- 17:31Right, well, let's get into some skill positions.
- 17:33You got a couple wide receivers. Coming up, pause.
- 17:36Lyman are I knew you were some of the most skilled athletes on
- 17:39the. Field I I said that on purpose
- 17:41because I knew it would get a reaction out of you.
- 17:44All right. Well, you did it.
- 17:46OK, you win. You hurt me.
- 17:49Are you happy? All right, well, the next
- 17:54player, which is the #9 player on ESP NS Top 50 Big board, is 6
- 17:58to 200 LB Arizona Statewide receiver Jordan Tyson.
- 18:02Avery, why don't you start us off on this one?
- 18:03Give us your scouting report for Jordan Tyson.
- 18:05I think this guy is a playmaker, but he is a, I don't know how I
- 18:13feel about him necessarily. I, I, I think that Leavitt throw
- 18:17into him was definitely a benefit.
- 18:19I think this guy has a lot of talent.
- 18:21The size and basically injuries are what worry me the most.
- 18:25There's another thing too. Yards after catch.
- 18:28I don't know if this is something that he that his
- 18:31coaches are cool with him doing. I remember I got yelled at when
- 18:36we were kids playing football for always jumping when catching
- 18:41the ball. And this man does it more than
- 18:44anyone I've ever seen. It's and I'm, I'm thinking that
- 18:48might even be part of his body control is like, yeah, it is a
- 18:52literally, it's actually actually marginally easier to
- 18:55catch a ball when you've jumped up in the air.
- 18:58You don't have to worry about where your feet are.
- 19:00You're not on the ground. You're not, you know,
- 19:02preemptively making a cut the amount of times he jumps for
- 19:06balls that he does not have to. He's running around and he
- 19:09jumps. I, I, I feel like he has this
- 19:12play making ability to, you know, kind of like a little scat
- 19:16back to get out of it. The problem is, is that when you
- 19:20jump, I mean, you've already telegraphed the catch.
- 19:22You come down, you have to reset and then get going again.
- 19:26I do think he has great body control.
- 19:27I do think he's a winner. I think he's I think he's great.
- 19:30It's just injuries and then always jumping for the ball kind
- 19:35of makes me question his ceiling a little bit.
- 19:37I mean, those are all things. I mean, injuries aren't, but
- 19:40jumping to catch the ball are things you can coach out of
- 19:42them. But I mean, this guy is very,
- 19:45very good. I mean, I mean, of course, as
- 19:47I'm saying all this, I am comparing him to other, you
- 19:50know, elite wide receivers here, not just saying, you know, he
- 19:53shouldn't be drafted or anything.
- 19:54I think he should definitely be drafted in the NFL lottery.
- 19:58Those are just some question marks I've got about him.
- 20:00I agree with everything he ever said.
- 20:02He was very fundamentally sound. He sits in the holes of the
- 20:04defense. He's a patient route runner,
- 20:07which is just a nice way to say he isn't fast, but he runs
- 20:09really good routes to make up for it.
- 20:13Whenever anybody listens to any scouting report by anybody, if
- 20:15they say they're a patient route runner, that's what they mean.
- 20:18They're slow, but they know where they're going, so they're
- 20:21going to get there. So far, I feel like you guys
- 20:23hate all three of these players. No, I actually don't hate Maui
- 20:27Noah at all. Thank you for saying it I he
- 20:33wins the 5050 balls 6 foot 2. He's got great height smaller
- 20:37frame like Avery mentioned. It says here are areas
- 20:40improvement the too much contact the line of scrimmage.
- 20:43That's going to be even more so with his like 200 lbs is not as
- 20:47not very big, but we've seen it work in the NFL time and time
- 20:50again. I mean how big is Abuka right?
- 20:52He's not that big either. Has Johnson Tiny human in
- 20:56comparison to other NFL he's. Like 100 lbs.
- 20:59Right and guess what he makes it work.
- 21:01There's so many so many examples of of the wide receiver NFL just
- 21:06getting smaller and more agile. I don't have to beat you with
- 21:09speed. I don't have to beat you that
- 21:12way. I will just find the hole in
- 21:13your defense and then I'll just make the play after that.
- 21:15And then and it's the right runner.
- 21:17NCE yards actually catchability. And like Avery said, he doesn't
- 21:21exactly have that. And then again, as Avery said,
- 21:24and as we have here in our areas of improvement, the injuries,
- 21:27the torn ACL, the collarbone and the hamstring, 3 really not good
- 21:32places to have injuries as wide receiver, especially if you're a
- 21:36catch in the air wide receiver and you're going to get hit and
- 21:39they can't hit you high and say they're going to hit you in the,
- 21:42in the, in the waist and you're going to come down on those
- 21:45shoulders and that's where your collarbones.
- 21:47Yeah, he was the most hurt. And so I actually, and it says
- 21:51here that we have here on our, our strengths.
- 21:53He was the go to guy every time he needed to play every, every
- 21:573rd down, every, every time they needed something.
- 22:00It was Jordan Tyson. He was well, when he was in, he
- 22:03was doing making the play. And so I, I think he's, he's
- 22:06ready to go at the next level because of that, because he's
- 22:09already been the, the trusted relied on receiver.
- 22:12I think that will translate very well into the NFL.
- 22:15But he has to pass the the medical examinations first.
- 22:17Yeah, there there's really three things that stand out to me
- 22:20about Jordan Tyson. One of them is what you just
- 22:22mentioned Will is that he was the go to guy for Arizona State
- 22:25when it was time for them to need a play.
- 22:28He was the guy that they went to and he often delivered.
- 22:32The second thing that stands out to me about Jordan Tyson is his
- 22:34ability to get open and create separation using a number of
- 22:37different moves. When I watch his tape I saw him
- 22:40use slight body movements to sell routes and throw off
- 22:43defensive backs. He's really good at using like a
- 22:45rocker step and head fakes to create misdirection on his
- 22:48routes to get himself away from the defenders.
- 22:51But the thing I think I like the most about Jordan Tyson is a
- 22:54skill that I think is very underrated.
- 22:55And I think a lot of people may not notice this when they watch
- 22:58him play. Jordan Tyson has a very
- 23:00underrated ability to flash late hands when the ball is being
- 23:04thrown his way. And what I mean by that is a lot
- 23:06of times you'll see defenders who don't turn their heads
- 23:08around until they see the wide receiver getting their hands up.
- 23:10Well, Jordan Tyson gets his hands up right at the perfect
- 23:13time so that defensive backs don't have the opportunity to
- 23:15make a play on the ball. So I think it's a very
- 23:18underrated and unnoticed skill that Jordan Tyson has.
- 23:21Overall, Jordan Tyson is very good receiver.
- 23:24He has the size he want. He's got the ability to get
- 23:26himself open. He wins contested catches.
- 23:28He can track the ball well. But his biggest issue is he just
- 23:31can't stay on the field. He had the injuries like you
- 23:34guys mentioned. He had injuries in every single
- 23:36college season that he played. He had a knee injury in 2022
- 23:39which caused him to miss 2023. He had the collarbone injury in
- 23:422024, causing him to miss the College Football Playoff, and
- 23:45then he had multiple hamstring injuries in 2025.
- 23:48He just cannot stay on the field.
- 23:50When Jordan Tyson is on the field, his talent is undeniable.
- 23:53He's very good, but he just can't stay on the field.
- 23:56Overall, I feel like the injuries that he's had, his
- 23:59medical history, if those don't check out or if there's any
- 24:02question about them at all for NFL teams, I think that's going
- 24:05to make him fall in the draft. But I think all it takes is one
- 24:08team to like the guys to take a chance on the guy.
- 24:11So I think he's probably going in the top 15 of the draft,
- 24:14maybe top 10, but I think his injuries could push him down a
- 24:17little bit. All right, so with that, let's
- 24:20move on to the number 10 player on the ESPN top 50 big board,
- 24:23which is Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles.
- 24:26Sonny Styles is a former safety who converted to linebacker in
- 24:292024. So in 2022 and 2023, he played
- 24:32safety. And then at Ohio State, the
- 24:35coaching staff said, you know what, you're 6, five, 243 lbs.
- 24:38Let's move you to linebacker. And all he did in his first
- 24:41season at linebacker was get 100 tackles and six sacks.
- 24:44Now because of his safety background, where he excels is
- 24:47in coverage. He's got the movement skills to
- 24:49cover tight ends, running backs, sometimes even wide receivers.
- 24:53He's very long and he uses his length to his advantage in
- 24:56coverage and as a tackler. He uses his length to wrap up
- 24:59ball carriers and he doesn't let them get away from him.
- 25:02This season he only missed 2 tackles all season long.
- 25:05Unfortunately, both of those tackles were in the College
- 25:08Football Playoffs against Miami. But outside of that, he did not
- 25:11miss a tackle all season. But I think my favorite thing
- 25:14about Sonny Styles is his ability to slip blocks at the
- 25:17second level. And I'm going to describe this
- 25:19in a way that probably only Avery will truly understand.
- 25:22And I'm going to toot my own horn here for a second.
- 25:25So when Avery and I were at BYU Idaho, we played basketball
- 25:28together all the time. And there was one time when I
- 25:31was on a fast break and there were two defenders standing side
- 25:33by side right in front of me to stop me from getting inside to
- 25:36the hoop. Instead of stopping or going
- 25:39around them, I just went straight through the middle of
- 25:41the two guys and I scored. And the guys went over to Avery
- 25:45after I scored and said, how did he just do that?
- 25:49That's what Sonny Styles can do at the second level.
- 25:51When blockers are trying to get to him, he'll just slip right
- 25:54through multiple guys. And when I was watching him, I
- 25:56was like, how did he just do that?
- 25:58Like I was really impressed with his ability to just slip away
- 26:01from blockers at the second level.
- 26:02So that's probably the most impressive thing that I watched
- 26:06with Sonny Styles on his tape was just his ability to slip
- 26:09those blocks a second level. Overall, I think he's very
- 26:11impressive. He's got great size, he's got
- 26:13great speed, he's got good closing speed.
- 26:15He just makes plays. He's only been playing
- 26:17linebacker for two years, so I think he still has a lot of room
- 26:20to grow in that position. But I think his safety
- 26:22background does help him in that position as well.
- 26:25I mean, I agree with this as well.
- 26:26I, I, I think this guy is AI mean to this guy's a football
- 26:31player. I think.
- 26:33I mean, he got moved down to linebacker because Caleb Downs
- 26:36came over. And The thing is, I mean, he
- 26:40obviously took at it like a fish to water.
- 26:43The way I see this is this guy's very versatile.
- 26:45If he could do that in college, you know, you come down here,
- 26:48you've got incredible size for a safety.
- 26:51You know, you may you might not be the best run stopper, but at
- 26:54the same time, I mean, this guy makes it look like the inside
- 26:57linebacker position has come and back.
- 27:00I know it's still here, but it's it's been kind of fading for a
- 27:04little while. I think he's great.
- 27:05It's just it's insane seeing all these guys on the same team on
- 27:09Ohio State, just an incredible defense.
- 27:13It really makes, I mean, I'm kind of shouting out to Indiana
- 27:16here for beating them just insane.
- 27:19And then also Miami, you know, shout out to Maui Noah.
- 27:23But no, I, I think this guy's I think this guy's great.
- 27:25I think he's got incredible athleticism.
- 27:26This guy looks like he could play small forward in the NBA as
- 27:30well. He just, he's incredibly
- 27:31athletic. I think regardless of the
- 27:33position they put him at, I think he'll thrive.
- 27:36The first thing I wrote down, Avery, is that he's a freak
- 27:38athlete playing football 20 years too late.
- 27:41I mean, you crushed it with that, Avery.
- 27:43He plays middle linebacker the way Clay Matthews, the way AJ
- 27:48Hawk, the way Brian Orlacker, the way the guys have a hard
- 27:52trap in there. Well, yeah, Fred Warner plays it
- 27:54now. Bobby Wagner, Fred Warner can't
- 27:56stand the field. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 27:58Bobby Wagner. Bobby Wagner Yeah, Yeah, Bobby,
- 28:01great, great example. The way those guys play middle
- 28:04linebacker. And you're right that Avery, you
- 28:06were right again. That has faded out.
- 28:09But because that faded out, the NFL went passing.
- 28:13So the middle linebacker faded out.
- 28:15And since that faded out, we saw it last year, run percentages of
- 28:18teams were higher because they didn't have the stout middle
- 28:21linebacker. And so I think he is 20 years
- 28:24too late and I think he is one year early in the next
- 28:29resurgence of great middle linebackers.
- 28:32And so I think we're going to be looking at Sonny Styles as the
- 28:36tip of this spear. We saw Fred Warner was the tail
- 28:41end of the last one and we've got Sunny Styles is the
- 28:43beginning of this one and there's AI don't know how long
- 28:46Fred Warner's been the lady. That's my fault for not having
- 28:48that ready. But there is a gap between the
- 28:50two of them of hey, we haven't had somebody this level since
- 28:53Fred Warner and now it's all look at all these guys that
- 28:56we've had since Sunny Styles. Yeah, that was the first thing I
- 28:59wrote down. I think that was that's quite.
- 29:00You said that the problem I have for him and we kind of have it
- 29:04here is right now when they send him on blitzes, they're using as
- 29:08a decoy. He doesn't have the his blitzing
- 29:12is lackluster. He just runs downhill and
- 29:15whatever happens, happens. If he makes the play, great.
- 29:17If not, he's being a disruptor. But he's not.
- 29:21Him blitzing is not the main focal point.
- 29:22It's it's he's blitzing sort of open up the hole for the stunts
- 29:25in the defensive line. This is our third Ohio State
- 29:29player. We talked about the top 10.
- 29:31Yes. Yeah, and we're about to talk
- 29:32about another Ohio State player in the top 11.
- 29:35When you've got 3 defensive players in the top ten, you
- 29:38don't always have to be the focal point.
- 29:40And because he played safety, he's he can match up with the
- 29:44tight ends. He gets out in space and matches
- 29:46up with the receivers or excuse me, the running backs and the
- 29:48swing routes and his greens, his closing speed.
- 29:51He lets the lets the running back catch the swing pass.
- 29:54And before you can even take a step, he's getting drilled.
- 29:57And so he he's making the plays, doing the right thing.
- 30:01And I think similar to Caleb Downs, I think he gets caught up
- 30:04in the make the big hit moments and I think that can leave him
- 30:08in the dust occasionally. But besides that overall freak
- 30:12athlete, wonderful player. Absolute freak.
- 30:16There is one thing that I think he needs to improve on, which is
- 30:18something that I noticed when I was watching his tape.
- 30:20So when I was watching his tape, I think Sonny Styles needs to
- 30:23improve with his recognition and reaction time a little bit.
- 30:26I don't think he has great reaction time.
- 30:27I think he gets a little bit late of a start off the ball,
- 30:30like when the ball is snapped. When I watch his tape, I don't
- 30:32see him just fly to the ball like I did when I watched Carson
- 30:35Swessinger last year. Instead, I see him take a little
- 30:37bit of a hesitation step before he flies to the ball.
- 30:40Once he figures out where the play is going, he's really,
- 30:43really good and he flies to the ball.
- 30:45But when I watched Carson Swessinger last season, that
- 30:48dude was instantly flying to the ball every single time.
- 30:52Sonny Styles does not do that. Like I said, he takes a little
- 30:54bit of that hesitation step before he flies to the ball.
- 30:57So I think he does get faked out a little bit on play action,
- 31:00misdirection plays a little bit too much because I don't think
- 31:03his reaction time is the best. It's not bad.
- 31:06It's just it's not on the same level as Carson Schwessinger.
- 31:10And the reason I keep comparing him to Carson Schwessinger is
- 31:12because that's like the best linebacker that I've scouted in
- 31:15the one year prior to this this scouting that we've done.
- 31:19So like, that's why I keep comparing him to Carson
- 31:21Schwenzinger, because when I watched him, that dude was so
- 31:24impressive with his reaction time.
- 31:26Like he was already moving to the ball before the ball was
- 31:29even where it was supposed to be going.
- 31:31Sonny Styles doesn't do that. But once he figures it out, he's
- 31:35there. It just takes him a little bit
- 31:37of time to figure out where it needs to go.
- 31:39So outside of that though, he's very impressive.
- 31:42I think that will come with more linebacker experience.
- 31:45This is the second year playing linebacker and so he's, he's
- 31:48used to being safety where he has a few extra seconds to read
- 31:51and react. Exactly.
- 31:53Safety, you're waiting for people to come to you, the
- 31:55receivers, the the play you're at the main level on, on making
- 31:58the run play as you're waiting for it to come to you.
- 32:00And at linebacker, you have to get there now.
- 32:03And so I think that'll just come with more reps and more
- 32:04experience. I agree.
- 32:06All right, so let's move on to the number 11 player on the top
- 32:0950 big board for ESPN, which is Ohio State wide receiver Carnell
- 32:13Tate. Avery.
- 32:14Once you start us off on this one, tell us about Carnell Tate.
- 32:17I the. The big thing is, regardless of
- 32:20my feelings, he's the Ohio State wide receiver this year.
- 32:25And I. Think you would just be?
- 32:28You would be a fool to to go to bet against him.
- 32:31I mean, I would love him to pack on a bit more muscle and to get
- 32:36a little bit more physical. But that is what I mean.
- 32:39He's 21. That is what the NFL is for
- 32:41basically. I mean, I kind of see him a
- 32:44little bit like George Pickens a little bit.
- 32:47I I can see this guy doing extremely well in the NFL.
- 32:51It's too bad that Jeremiah Smith got most of the recognition the
- 32:56past basically couple years and that we won't even be talking
- 33:00about him till next season, which will be fun.
- 33:03Number one no this say what? Number one pick.
- 33:07Bet you think so. I mean, it's going to be pretty
- 33:09hard for somebody to pass on him.
- 33:11I know there's going to be Arch Manning.
- 33:13He's so cool because his last name.
- 33:14He'll be the number one player, but he won't be the number one
- 33:16pick. He should be.
- 33:19No, but but for the most part I think also it's the same thing
- 33:22with Tyson. It's yards after catch that
- 33:25concern me. I don't think he that will make
- 33:29or break him. I think he could easily fix
- 33:30that. But that's just one of the
- 33:32things just he he gets wrapped up too easily.
- 33:35Feels like as soon as defender makes contact, that's usually
- 33:39him going down. I mean, that being said, he is
- 33:42still catching the ball. He's not dropping it, he's not
- 33:44fumbling it. So I mean, there's worse things
- 33:47that could happen, but I think I think he's going to be great.
- 33:50I think he's just another in a long line of Ohio Statewide
- 33:54receivers. Yeah, what I really like about
- 33:55Carnell Tate is he just wins contested catches because like
- 33:58you mentioned, he's 63. He's very long.
- 34:01He uses every bit of his length to win those contested catches.
- 34:05He also has elite high point timing to win the contested
- 34:08catch battles. I also think that what helps him
- 34:10win the contested catches is he doesn't wait for the football to
- 34:13come to him, he goes and attacks the football.
- 34:16So he doesn't give defenders opportunities to catch those
- 34:18under thrown balls because he is attacking the football.
- 34:22I think he's really good against zone coverage.
- 34:24I think he's better against zone than he is against man.
- 34:26And the reason for that is because he just doesn't have the
- 34:29long speed to get open on vertical routes.
- 34:32It's mostly vertical routes. He doesn't have the long speed
- 34:34to separate consistently from defenders.
- 34:36So in zone, I think he has a really good feel for what space
- 34:40he's going to have and he does a really good job of selling the
- 34:42vertical routes. So like, even though he's not
- 34:45really good at separating on vertical routes because he
- 34:47doesn't have that long speed, he does a really good job of
- 34:50fooling defenders and making him think that he's going to run
- 34:52vertical because he has a really good start to his route.
- 34:56So defenders think he's going deep, but then he ends up doing
- 34:58something else and that's what helps him create that
- 35:00separation. So I do think he needs to get
- 35:03better, like bigger and stronger.
- 35:05Like we mentioned, like he's only 195 lbs it, but he's 63.
- 35:09Think similar to Jordan Tyson gets knocked off the his release
- 35:12at the line. He needs to get bigger because
- 35:14against those more physical corners, he does have a little
- 35:17bit of trouble. Like he's not out there like
- 35:19he's DK Metcalf or A.J. Brown.
- 35:21Like he doesn't have that type of a build.
- 35:23He's tall, but he's a little bit skinnier of a guy.
- 35:26So I think he does need to put on some weight so that he can
- 35:29take on those more physical defenders.
- 35:31Yeah, and just to pay like everything you guys already
- 35:33said, I mean he is everything you'd expect from from the Ohio
- 35:36State wide receiver from this year's draft class.
- 35:38He is going to be a some teams number one option at some point
- 35:42this year and he would just produce just like Olave, just
- 35:46like Luca, just like how many of you go down the West.
- 35:49Marvin Harrison junior, although we'd like to see him produce
- 35:51more, I think he's that's a product of the team, not just a
- 35:54player. Every single one of them that
- 35:56comes out and next year it's going to be Marvin or not Marvin
- 35:58Harrison junior. Next year it'll be Jeremiah
- 36:00Smith and we just continuously pumping out just top level
- 36:05talent at the wide receiver position.
- 36:07He had three drops all year at a 5.4% drop rate and that is
- 36:11incredibly good. If you're not aware, 3 drops all
- 36:14season it is this is incredible. As mentioned, at 195 lbs, he
- 36:18needs to take his aggressiveness that he has when catching the
- 36:20football and turn that into aggressiveness getting off the
- 36:23football and I think he's going to be everything or a team
- 36:26wants. All right, so let's move on to
- 36:28the final player that we're scouting tonight on this
- 36:31episode, which is the number 12 player on the ESPN Top 50 big
- 36:34board, and that is Auburn EDGE Keldrick Falk.
- 36:38Now, Keltrick Falk is the player that no matter what team drafts
- 36:40him in the first round, the fan base will absolutely hate it.
- 36:44And that's because he's not an elite pass rusher.
- 36:46He's got the size you want in a pass rusher.
- 36:48He's a massive human being at 66285, but what he doesn't have
- 36:52is explosiveness off this line of scrimmage.
- 36:54He doesn't have elite bend to get around the corner, He
- 36:57doesn't have a wide variety of pass rush moves, and he also
- 37:00doesn't have the overall production that you want from a
- 37:02pass rusher. Falk is a guy who teams will
- 37:04draft for his potential as a pass rusher, but until fans see
- 37:07it fulfilled, they're not going to be excited about it.
- 37:10He's only 20 years old and he's got the frame, he's got the
- 37:12motor and the effort, but he lacks a lot when it comes to
- 37:15rushing the passer. So I just think that no matter
- 37:18what team this guy goes to, I think the fans are going to be
- 37:22kind of disappointed, to be honest.
- 37:23Contrary to that, I think I agree with everything you said.
- 37:27His past rushing ability is very lackluster.
- 37:29He doesn't react well to it, he's slurring off the ball, but
- 37:33he's incredibly strong. He's got a £700 squat, a 415 LB
- 37:37bench, making him physically capable of doing anything.
- 37:41He can set the edge, he has his own anchor because of his just
- 37:46pure strength. And so when he lacks in the pass
- 37:49game, he makes up for in the run game.
- 37:51He doesn't have the size to move him inside the defensive tackle,
- 37:54but for setting the edge and keeping everything inside, I
- 37:57think he's going to be good on 1st and 2nd down, keeping your
- 38:01outside run inside. And so I think he's I think they
- 38:05will take him. I think he'll be a top 15, top
- 38:09well 32 teams. I think he'll be a top half of
- 38:11the first Round Top 16 picks because of his run stopping
- 38:14ability and then they will develop him into a pass rusher.
- 38:17I think this guy's going to be really good.
- 38:20I think it'll take a few years, but I think Fox going to be
- 38:22really good. I, I, I kind of like what Will
- 38:25was saying. I like his strength and this guy
- 38:27wraps up really well. I like his instincts on getting
- 38:29to the the ball carrier. Yeah, I think he could do a
- 38:33little bit better in the past rush game, but I again, I'm
- 38:38going out vibes here from everything I've seen from him.
- 38:41I've talked to some buddies who are Bama fans and Auburn fans
- 38:44because I've got both and I I think this guy will be special
- 38:49again. I don't think he's going to be a
- 38:50day one game changer, but clip it in a few years and I think, I
- 38:56think this guy's going to be, I think this guy's going to be
- 38:59something special. So I want to give my player con
- 39:01for him and you guys can tell me if I'm off here or if you think
- 39:04it's good, but I think Julius. Peppers.
- 39:08No, actually, that's not what I was going to say.
- 39:10No, not no. I would compare Keldrick Falk to
- 39:16a bigger DeMarcus Lawrence right now.
- 39:18He's not going to be a consistent pass rusher who gets
- 39:2010 plus sacks every year, but what he will always be is a very
- 39:24good run defender. So although he's not going to be
- 39:27an exciting player, at least not right away, I think he will have
- 39:30a significant role from day one because what he is right now is
- 39:33an NFL ready run defender and he gives you full effort on every
- 39:37play. He's creates separation on his
- 39:41blocks, He doesn't get fooled by misdirection plays, he maintains
- 39:44his gap and he puts himself in position to make the play
- 39:47against the run. I just think, like we already
- 39:49mentioned, he just needs to work on his pass rushing ability.
- 39:53But overall, he's going to be a contributor from day one in the
- 39:56NFL. It's just going to be as a run
- 39:58defender, not as a pass rusher. See, and and last season we
- 40:02talked a lot about a guy and taking him for potential.
- 40:04And I was Shamar Stewart, right? This guy, he, he's OK, but he's
- 40:09got the potential and he said he's got all the tangibles
- 40:12intangible, excuse me, that you want with the size and the, the
- 40:15physicality. I think the difference is, is
- 40:18that Kendrick folk has that he's the willingness to learn.
- 40:23He he's willing to, to adapt and grow.
- 40:26And, and I just don't, I, I never saw that in, in his first
- 40:30year. Holding out for your rookie
- 40:32contract, I think is wild behavior.
- 40:34And, and I, I just don't, I just don't see that here.
- 40:37I, I see a guy who who wants to just play and who wants to just
- 40:42be on the field as much as he can.
- 40:44And so he's just going to do whatever it takes to be on the
- 40:46field. Also, he didn't have three
- 40:48straight seasons of 1 1/2 sex. True.
- 40:51So there's that. All right.
- 40:54Well, do you guys have anything that you want to add before we
- 40:56get into our player rankings? Now this is where we start
- 40:59fighting now. OK.
- 41:01All right, so OK, so now that we've gone through players 7
- 41:04through 12 on ESPN's top 50 big board, it's time for us to add
- 41:08those players into our top 50 rankings.
- 41:10So just to review, right now we have our top six in this order,
- 41:13which I have a feeling is going to change.
- 41:15But right now the order is Caleb Downs at one, Arville Reset 2,
- 41:19Fernando Mendoza at 3, Jeremiah Lives at 4, Ruben Bain Junior at
- 41:235 and David Bailey at six. So from the players that are
- 41:27ranked seven through 12 on ESPN's big Board, are there any
- 41:31players that you guys feel should be in the top 6 rankings?
- 41:35Yes. Yes.
- 41:37OK, who are those players? I mean, now we know it should be
- 41:39#3 I'll, I'll just say that right now.
- 41:42He should be. He is.
- 41:44Over Mendoza. Over Mendoza.
- 41:46Now this. Now pause.
- 41:48Before we make these kind of things here, what are we ranking
- 41:51them on? Is it physicality?
- 41:53Is it potential? What are we ranking them on
- 41:56specifically? I think we should rank them on
- 41:58how good we think they're going to be.
- 42:00OK, let me ask. Let me ask you, let me ask you
- 42:03guys this. Do you think any of these
- 42:05players should be above Arvel Reese or Caleb Downs?
- 42:08No, yeah, no. I don't think so either.
- 42:11So I think we have the top two set.
- 42:12I think I like, I still think I like Mendoza at 3:00 as well.
- 42:16I didn't have Maui no that high. I had Mendoza at three also.
- 42:19I would. I would be willing, like I think
- 42:22there's a case that Will could make for putting Maui Noah at 3,
- 42:25but I think I would like him at 4:00.
- 42:27I'm good with four. Just because I feel like minda
- 42:30one. Cool, cool.
- 42:32All right, so we're putting Maui Noah at 4:00.
- 42:34Yes, yeah. OK.
- 42:37OK. So then that means that Jeremiah
- 42:39Love is getting moved down at least one spot because we had
- 42:42him at 4 before. So are we putting Jeremiah Love
- 42:45at five or do you guys have somebody else you want to put at
- 42:475:00? Personally, who was 6 was wait,
- 42:52who else? We had Bain.
- 42:53Who was in between there? The Bailey.
- 42:55So Bain. Bain was at 5 and David Bailey
- 42:57was at six. I personally would like Sonny
- 43:00Styles above love. That's who I have as well.
- 43:04That's who I have as well. Oh, really?
- 43:05OK, I mean, yeah, dude, I I don't disagree with that.
- 43:09Cool. And that's how.
- 43:10Sonny Styles is going to be 5. And I understand that last week
- 43:14I was bat checked. Yeah, bat checked.
- 43:17Beating my chest. There it is for Jeremiah Love
- 43:20about how good he is and how we should rank him that low.
- 43:23But with presented with new information, I'm allowed to
- 43:26change my opinion here. And Sunny Styles is an absolute
- 43:28freak athlete who's going to make an immediate impact on the
- 43:31defensive side of the ball for any team.
- 43:33So yeah. I will say that Bane is dropping
- 43:40quite a bit. Oh yeah, and David Bailey.
- 43:43These guys are just not as good. I would still, I wouldn't put, I
- 43:48would put Bailey somewhere at the top half of seven through
- 43:5112, but I I think I might put Bane at the like close to the
- 43:56bottom right next to Fano. I don't think any of us are huge
- 44:01fans of Ruben Bane. That's why I was surprised when
- 44:03you guys had him over David Bailey last time because I'm not
- 44:06a big fan of him at all. I didn't, did I?
- 44:09You said? Yeah, you said you did.
- 44:11We rank them at. Like Bailey more than Bane,
- 44:15that's not. What you said, that's not what
- 44:17you said last night 6. I'll have to.
- 44:19I'll have to watch the episode for the first time ever.
- 44:21I don't. Now we're I'm actually.
- 44:24Genuinely curious because I don't, I don't believe I said
- 44:26that, but I mean it was recorded so I mean.
- 44:29I can literally just do it about five times and you said.
- 44:32That Dang I thought I was like totally trashing Bane.
- 44:37We did. Maybe it was.
- 44:38We also totally trashed David Bailey.
- 44:41That was mostly just you. Just me.
- 44:44I'm the hater. Oh man, again I.
- 44:47Was I was. Saying he was, I thought he was
- 44:49pretty good. He was just making some dumb
- 44:51mistakes. Anyway all.
- 44:53Right anyway, so now we've got Jeremiah Love sitting at six.
- 44:56Do you guys want to move him down or you keep him at six I.
- 44:59Kind of like Tate above him, but I think at that point I'm
- 45:04probably just, I'm pulling at straws here.
- 45:07Right, I think, I think Jeremiah loves a better athlete than
- 45:10Carnell Tate's. I think we should get Jeremiah
- 45:12Love at six. That's just me personally
- 45:13though, but I don't want it to be just my.
- 45:15Decision I I could, I could concede that.
- 45:18I I think I think Carnell Tate goes right below Jeremiah Love
- 45:21in a seven slot. OK, so you guys think Carnell
- 45:23Tate is a better receiver than Jordan?
- 45:25Tyson, yes, I do, I do. And I think he comes down to his
- 45:29health concerns. That is the biggest factor.
- 45:31For me, that's fair, that's. Fair.
- 45:32And the fact that Tyson did not go to Ohio State University.
- 45:36That's. Like the biggest downside on
- 45:40Tyson. OK.
- 45:41But outside of that, outside of the injuries and outside of the
- 45:45Ohio State thing, why would you guys put Carnell Tate over
- 45:47Jordan Tyson? Injuries mainly, like Will, said
- 45:50Tyson to me between the two of them, and again, it's marginal
- 45:54difference here. I'm not saying 1 is like
- 45:56exceedingly better. To me, Tyson seems more like a a
- 46:02little bit like a chador where it's a little bit more freestyle
- 46:08going on something that you might not be able to get away
- 46:11all the time with in the NFL. He reminds me a little bit of
- 46:15Bryce Johnson. Also might be watching this our
- 46:18buddy where he's just doing these weird scramble things,
- 46:21just making dump it just it looks like he's not being
- 46:24coached as well. Looks like he's just taking what
- 46:26he got from high school and bringing it in again.
- 46:30It's to a degree, but I would still put I just believe that
- 46:34Tate's going to have a better career overall.
- 46:36I think this is a product of where they're from.
- 46:39I think that Carnell Tate comes from a program that gets wide
- 46:43receivers more NFL ready than any other program in the NCAA.
- 46:48And so that, to me, makes them a better prospect than Jordan
- 46:52Tyson, OK. That's fair.
- 46:54I had Jordan Tyson above Carnell Tate just from like when they're
- 46:59on the field, but the injuries, I'm OK with moving Jordan Tyson
- 47:03down just simply because of the injuries.
- 47:06So I'm good with Carnell Tate at 7:00 if you guys are.
- 47:09Yeah, I'm down with that. OK, so who do you guys want to
- 47:12put at 8 right now? It would be Ruben Bayne or David
- 47:16Bailey. Oh, it's are those the only two
- 47:18guys left? Or let's, let's make it, let's
- 47:20make it a little bit, let's make it a little bit easier.
- 47:22Who do you guys think is the worst player out of these 12?
- 47:25Fano. It's got to be Fano.
- 47:28And then I put Bayne right above him.
- 47:30And then Bailey. And then Faulk.
- 47:33OK, Will, are you cool with putting David Bailey above Bane?
- 47:36Because last time we didn't. That's fine.
- 47:38Bailey on Purefilis is on Purefilis is David Bailey right?
- 47:44David Bailey is is ranked higher on Purefilis.
- 47:48OK. So we're going final at 12, Bain
- 47:50at 11 and then David Bailey at 10.
- 47:54Yeah, yes, OK. So that leaves us with Tyson and
- 47:58Faulk. I'd put dude, Tyson and then
- 48:01Faulk. Tyson, agree.
- 48:02Faulk at 9. I agree.
- 48:04Well. That's I would I?
- 48:05If it was up to me, I'd put Faulk above Tyson, but knowing
- 48:10how you guys feel, I would be cool with swapping that.
- 48:12I actually am. I actually am cool with Faulk
- 48:14above Tyson. Faulk at 8, Tyson at 9:00.
- 48:17I'm good with that, too. Again, because of the injuries
- 48:19to Jordan Tyson, Yeah, he can't stay on the field.
- 48:22He can't stay on the field. Then the ability that you have
- 48:24on the field doesn't really matter.
- 48:26Cool, yeah. So I'll read you the full list.
- 48:28So Downs is 1, Reese is 2, Mendoza's three, Maui Noah's
- 48:32four, Styles is five, Love is at 6, Tate is at 7, Falk is at 8,
- 48:37Tyson is at 9, Bailey at 10, Bain at 11, and Fano at 12.
- 48:41You guys like it? I like it.
- 48:43For this week, for. This week, next week, we're
- 48:46going to be doing players 13 through 18 on the ESPN Top 50
- 48:49Big Board, so we'll have some more shake UPS.
- 48:52I'm not going to give anything away, but I'll just say this
- 48:54about next week. Makai Lemon.
- 48:58That's all you need to know. That's all you need to know
- 49:00right there, Makai Lemon. Is Kenyon in this one?
- 49:03Yes, he is the number 13 player. Kenya Sadiq is the number 13
- 49:07player. I like that.
- 49:09Geek and Lemon in the same week. No.
- 49:12It's going to be a good one. They're moving up.
- 49:17All right. Do you guys have anything else
- 49:18you want to add before we end the show?
- 49:21Well, that wraps it up. So there you guys have our top
- 49:2312 on our top 50 big board versus ESP NS top 50 big board
- 49:27for the 2026 NFL draft. So next week, again, we're going
- 49:30to be doing the number 13 through 18 players on the ESPN
- 49:34top 50 big board and then we'll move those players around and
- 49:37fit them into our personal top 18.
- 49:40So that's all we have time for on the episode today, guys.
- 49:43But as always, don't forget to keep your balls played with.
- 49:46We'll see you next time back are y'all.
- 49:48Also Mark Davis and Sarah guys still.
