A 60-year-old fire captain, Thad Lauritzen, faces serious charges after allegedly using his truck to strike a man in a KU Medical Center parking garage—then shoving him into a parked car. The victim claims Lauritzen targeted them for blocking a spot, while Lauritzen says the man swung at him first and backed into the truck. Surveillance footage is too grainy to confirm what happened.
