- 0:08Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:11Speaker 2: It is Thursday, time for card talk with Brad Dunderson
- 0:14Speaker 2: DoD just to you. Good morning, Brad, Good morning Tom.
- 0:17Speaker 1: How are you today?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Wonderful Dodge and rain drops just like everybody else, he.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Said, it's not raining too hard at this point. They
- 0:24Speaker 1: will get some later.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Got my good friend George hockey Itis here today. Welcome George.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Thank you, Rad. Glad to be here. It's great to
- 0:34Speaker 3: have you back again. A few things we can talk
- 0:36Speaker 3: about young scholars and see, I don't know, does friends
- 0:41Speaker 3: indeed have anything going on this time of year?
- 0:44Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's just I'm resting for that. Yeah,
- 0:50Speaker 1: it's oh, young young scholars at Barlin. It's where I'm
- 0:55Speaker 1: spinning my efforts now. Yeah, Tom, about that. We're interviewing
- 1:03Speaker 1: youngsters for coming into the program for next year. Next year, yep.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And because of that, we're now looking for mentors. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: we're going to need a couple of males and four
- 1:21Speaker 1: female mentors. So okay, that's what our need right now.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Is that's awesome. My wife Kimberly is one. Yeah, sure,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and oh yeah, she really gets a lot out of it.
- 1:32Speaker 3: She enjoys her time with her a little And it's
- 1:37Speaker 3: part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, but enhanced
- 1:42Speaker 3: and it kind of puts these young people on pathway
- 1:45Speaker 3: to college and careers.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And yet scholarships available.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, we've had twenty seven students go through the
- 1:57Speaker 1: program and become a college graduates now and so and
- 2:04Speaker 1: we've had so many now that are in the program
- 2:09Speaker 1: in some manner, you know, they're in the high school
- 2:12Speaker 1: or in college and so. Uh. And it's not just
- 2:16Speaker 1: handing out scholarship, No, it's a.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Matter of a lot of work.
- 2:20Speaker 1: The kids. They you know, what we always say is
- 2:23Speaker 1: what we're preparing them for is success in life. And
- 2:28Speaker 1: that's the that's the idea. It's not just getting a college.
- 2:32Speaker 2: In my opinion, that's what college is about.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I think you know that there's sure been a lot
- 2:37Speaker 3: of press about colleges recently, and I know that a
- 2:40Speaker 3: lot of them are under stress with.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Changes in the world.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And we were out at Trick County a few weeks ago,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and you've got you know, those kinds of options where
- 2:49Speaker 3: you're really uh, you know, tech schools are great and
- 2:54Speaker 3: they you know, if if you're but sometimes people don't
- 2:57Speaker 3: know what they want to do. And college is a
- 3:00Speaker 3: great way to go learn how to learn, and and
- 3:03Speaker 3: you know, and you never know what it will lead to.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I was an English major in college, and and I
- 3:08Speaker 3: use English every day, but I don't, you know, I
- 3:11Speaker 3: don't necessarily write papers anymore. And it's a you know what,
- 3:16Speaker 3: all those things I learned, really, I know, I know
- 3:20Speaker 3: I do use them every day.
- 3:21Speaker 2: And you know what, did you know what you were
- 3:23Speaker 2: going to do when you went off to college?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Well you had a different kind of Yeah. I actually
- 3:30Speaker 1: before I went to college, I wanted to be in television,
- 3:34Speaker 1: behind the scenes, behind the scenes. I wanted to be
- 3:37Speaker 1: a technical director. But a cousin of mine that said, well,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you you should go become an electrical engineer, but then
- 3:47Speaker 1: you can go in television. Well I went and got
- 3:51Speaker 1: a degree in electrical engineer and never went into television
- 3:55Speaker 1: when and came to work for Phillips And well, that's
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's my point.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And sometimes he's a winding path life.
- 4:03Speaker 3: It's good to have some options, I think exactly college,
- 4:10Speaker 3: that's that's interesting.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's and young scholars. We did.
- 4:16Speaker 3: We had a big event a couple of weeks ago
- 4:20Speaker 3: or I mean it's probably a couple of months ago
- 4:22Speaker 3: now one of your big fundraisers and uh, you know
- 4:27Speaker 3: that's such a cool event because you get to hear
- 4:29Speaker 3: from the the one of the graduates from the program
- 4:34Speaker 3: and uh kind of celebrate the whole situation. And for
- 4:38Speaker 3: people who don't know, this is a low family, uh
- 4:44Speaker 3: program that started uh.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Exactly by by the low Lord bottlesills.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Low Family created a scholarship fund and now it's known
- 4:53Speaker 3: as Young Scholars And you know, I think it it's
- 4:57Speaker 3: just one of it's a great, great program.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Mary and Karen Lowe started the program and taken
- 5:05Speaker 1: off from there and it's uh now run by a
- 5:10Speaker 1: board and we have you know, like say it partners
- 5:15Speaker 1: with Big Brother Big Sisters. They do the front end
- 5:19Speaker 1: of the finding, helping us with the mentors. And then
- 5:26Speaker 1: I say, we recruit mentors and we have volunteers, a
- 5:32Speaker 1: lot of volunteers help us. And then we recruit families
- 5:40Speaker 1: and the students and work with the kids, and we
- 5:45Speaker 1: partner with several organizations helping with volunteer in different events around.
- 5:55Speaker 2: In fact, the students.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Will be have been helping out like Kitty Park cleaning
- 6:01Speaker 1: up at Kitty Park. There'll be one of events later on.
- 6:05Speaker 1: They'll be helping with pack the backpacks and different things
- 6:11Speaker 1: of that nature. And our goal is to teach our
- 6:16Speaker 1: youngsters to give back to the community in whatever manner
- 6:20Speaker 1: they can.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Well, you're certainly a great example of that, i'lso I'll
- 6:24Speaker 3: just say, George, for all the things you support and
- 6:27Speaker 3: your continuous efforts to make Bartlesill a great place to
- 6:30Speaker 3: live and grow up.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And Martinville is a great place.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I know that's why you do it.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but you had mentioned it's that time of year
- 6:39Speaker 3: where you're going through the the bringing the kids on
- 6:42Speaker 3: board that may to enter the program next year. When
- 6:44Speaker 3: does what is the age of those when you start
- 6:48Speaker 3: bringing them into the program.
- 6:49Speaker 1: We start with basically sixth graders, and they can sixth
- 6:54Speaker 1: graders through around tenth graders and so, and generally we
- 7:03Speaker 1: try to focus on the younger age because we would
- 7:07Speaker 1: like for them to be in the program. A little
- 7:09Speaker 1: longer they are in the program, the better off, because
- 7:14Speaker 1: they can experience more going through some of the classes
- 7:20Speaker 1: that we have, classes on finance and different programs like that.
- 7:29Speaker 3: It's more than just school and mentoring. You actually did
- 7:32Speaker 3: some foundational exactly. Yeah, we have programs such as like say,
- 7:38Speaker 3: they learn about budgeting and financing, and then we work
- 7:45Speaker 3: with now what usual the West Side Community Center with
- 7:52Speaker 3: the program.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Out there too. They learn about things such as how
- 8:00Speaker 1: to set a table and how to you know, properly
- 8:05Speaker 1: e that you know, in manners and interview and things
- 8:10Speaker 1: of this nature. So there's all these types of things.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Like to say, the goal is we prepare them to
- 8:19Speaker 1: get ready to go to college and then be successful
- 8:23Speaker 1: in college. Our students, you know, a lot of students
- 8:29Speaker 1: when they go to college, the success rate we've measured
- 8:32Speaker 1: this is somewhere around ten percent the college go go
- 8:38Speaker 1: kids go to college, it's like ten percent they make it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know. Left about that ours is seventy five percent.
- 8:46Speaker 1: That's you know, when our kids go there, they're successful.
- 8:49Speaker 1: They graduate and not.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Only planning that yeah, for a long time, Yeah, and
- 8:56Speaker 3: for years working towards that goal, and you know, and
- 9:00Speaker 3: without that, they maybe they you know, they don't know,
- 9:03Speaker 3: you know, what the opportunities are they may not have,
- 9:06Speaker 3: that may not be something they end up doing.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And not only that, the vast majority of our students
- 9:13Speaker 1: when they graduate, they graduate with little or zero debt
- 9:20Speaker 1: because they're getting scholarships through our program. Yes, but we're
- 9:26Speaker 1: working with them to get other scholarships because they're you know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: we don't give them the one hundred percent of their funding,
- 9:35Speaker 1: but we work with them to get other scholarships. So
- 9:39Speaker 1: we're constantly pointing out other scholarships they can get and so,
- 9:45Speaker 1: and they can get scholarship through our program to either R.
- 9:50Speaker 1: S u Okwu or OSU. Now we do have some
- 9:55Speaker 1: other scholarship money. If they decide they didn't gon't want
- 10:00Speaker 1: to go to those three schools, they go to other schools,
- 10:04Speaker 1: but the money that we have available is limited if
- 10:08Speaker 1: they go to any other school. And people ask, well
- 10:11Speaker 1: why only those three schools for those are where we
- 10:15Speaker 1: have endowments. The individuals have funded endowments there. And if
- 10:23Speaker 1: someone wants to come up with some endowment funds at
- 10:26Speaker 1: other universities, who you have, happy to do that, but
- 10:30Speaker 1: that's where endowment funds are located.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Now that's so cool, and that's another one of these
- 10:37Speaker 3: things that started here in Borrosville and somebody's idea and
- 10:40Speaker 3: their passion for children, and now it's you've got, like
- 10:45Speaker 3: I said, twenty seven graduates and how many people kids
- 10:50Speaker 3: are in the program and right around the avenue all.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Told, there's like one hundred and ten between high school
- 10:57Speaker 1: and college in the program them right now. That's amazing. Yeah,
- 11:02Speaker 1: that's really good.
- 11:03Speaker 3: So are there any other requirements they you know, where
- 11:07Speaker 3: they live.
- 11:08Speaker 1: They have to be a part of our books. They
- 11:09Speaker 1: have to be in the Bartletill school school system. Right
- 11:13Speaker 1: now we're we're limiting the Bartlefield School system. And that's
- 11:17Speaker 1: simply because, uh you know, our program of funding and
- 11:23Speaker 1: the mentoring side of it, that's just it's tough to.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Mentoring.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You know. We've talked about maybe in the future we
- 11:35Speaker 1: could expand the program. But that's good. Some more money.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a you know, I know it's always
- 11:42Speaker 3: a struggle with nonprofits and organizations like this. The fundraising
- 11:47Speaker 3: is a is a never ending thing. It's got to
- 11:49Speaker 3: go on throughout the year. You're wanting one event, can't
- 11:52Speaker 3: raise all that the money you need. And uh so
- 11:55Speaker 3: if people are inspired by this reach out and what's
- 11:59Speaker 3: the best way to be involved. I mean you mentioned volunteers.
- 12:03Speaker 3: We know that fundrate funds are needed.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Always, yes, and we have a website and they can
- 12:10Speaker 1: go to the website UH and.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And the search for Young Scholars of Bartlesville.
- 12:18Speaker 1: It's easy to find. Lot of the.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Students juggle being in school and doing all their like
- 12:25Speaker 3: schoolwork or for work and.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Then also do all the activities and skills that you
- 12:29Speaker 1: guys are in groups. Well, typically they have four volunteer
- 12:35Speaker 1: events that they do a year and four quarterly meetings.
- 12:40Speaker 1: These are on Saturdays, and we schedule them and they
- 12:44Speaker 1: know about them, and we work with them and schedule
- 12:48Speaker 1: them so that they and if they conflict with like
- 12:55Speaker 1: band UH, we work with them on that they get
- 12:59Speaker 1: extra used from from our events if if they if
- 13:03Speaker 1: they conflict with school events, but we try to work
- 13:07Speaker 1: with them so that they h you know, we can
- 13:11Speaker 1: schedule around some of their other events. But that's one
- 13:17Speaker 1: of the things that when they're interviewed, it's understood, you
- 13:22Speaker 1: know that they have those UH commitments that they have
- 13:26Speaker 1: to make to the program when they join. So you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: they just have to understand that that those are some
- 13:35Speaker 1: things they have to do if they're going to be
- 13:38Speaker 1: part of the program. That's part of the learning process. Yes, yes,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and so you know they may have to give up
- 13:45Speaker 1: some other UH something that they don't you know, maybe
- 13:51Speaker 1: they don't want to do or something like that, but
- 13:55Speaker 1: this is important and it's important to their life. So
- 13:59Speaker 1: that's part of a different.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Experience the mintors and the participants also, they they developed
- 14:06Speaker 3: these relationships and a lot of I think a lot
- 14:10Speaker 3: of times there's a lot more going on where they're
- 14:13Speaker 3: getting together, going to you know, if you're on a
- 14:16Speaker 3: sporting team or on a band, you know, the mineral
- 14:19Speaker 3: go to those things that you know, the mintors will
- 14:22Speaker 3: invite them to things they have going on. I mean,
- 14:25Speaker 3: it becomes a real relationship and and over years and
- 14:30Speaker 3: and you know, kind of gives you that that that
- 14:35Speaker 3: outside support, knowing and and from someone you know that
- 14:40Speaker 3: just as investing in in your life, and that that's
- 14:44Speaker 3: for some kids. That's a that's really important, I think.
- 14:48Speaker 1: And that's an important part of this is what the
- 14:53Speaker 1: mentor brings to the program, especially in the as the
- 15:00Speaker 1: student becomes, you know and close to their senior year.
- 15:04Speaker 1: They can help. You know, we're talking about students that
- 15:10Speaker 1: their parents maybe never went to college, so they get
- 15:13Speaker 1: to learn, oh what about filling out the forums about
- 15:18Speaker 1: going to college and all that. But the other is
- 15:21Speaker 1: the uh, they you know, they get to see a
- 15:25Speaker 1: mentor in their social life seeing oh with what they're doing,
- 15:31Speaker 1: you know, I you know, they can get to go
- 15:35Speaker 1: see them and maybe working at Conical Phillips or working
- 15:39Speaker 1: at Dungeons or you know, Toyota or I can see
- 15:43Speaker 1: them doing something like that and I want to do
- 15:46Speaker 1: those kind of jobs. And so they get to experience
- 15:50Speaker 1: real life. And so that's another part of the mentor
- 15:56Speaker 1: student relationship. And that's that's what we want want them
- 16:00Speaker 1: to experience. You know, they get to see something beside
- 16:04Speaker 1: just their parents. Okay, and we'll get me wrong.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It's good, you know, good.
- 16:09Speaker 1: To have that parent relationship, but a lot of time
- 16:13Speaker 1: there may be a single parent. So they get to
- 16:15Speaker 1: see another side of life. So that's that's what we're
- 16:20Speaker 1: looking for with the mentor.
- 16:23Speaker 3: How do you find the participants? Are they recruited or
- 16:26Speaker 3: do they come to you? I mean the mentors. Yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 3: this is part of it right now.
- 16:32Speaker 1: We're trying to get the word out any way we can.
- 16:34Speaker 1: We we're constantly recruiting mentors. Were spread the word as
- 16:40Speaker 1: best we can. We're out there any event that we
- 16:44Speaker 1: have our fundraiser where we're out there in the community
- 16:50Speaker 1: constantly talking about the need for mentors. We joke about it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Anytime we're out there we see someone, we grab them
- 17:00Speaker 1: by the arm and say, don't you want to be
- 17:02Speaker 1: a mentor? But I'm joking aside it. Really it's not
- 17:10Speaker 1: a major commitment. We tell people we're talking about a
- 17:14Speaker 1: few hours a month, quite frankly, and it's not a
- 17:19Speaker 1: major commitment. And the amazing thing about it is when
- 17:24Speaker 1: and just like your wife will tell people after they've
- 17:29Speaker 1: done it, they'll say they've gotten more out of it
- 17:32Speaker 1: than they put into it. And this is the any
- 17:38Speaker 1: of us have been around kids will say the same thing.
- 17:42Speaker 1: You know, it's more of a receiving than it is
- 17:46Speaker 1: a giving kind of thing.
- 17:48Speaker 3: So it's a shared experience and it's something that both
- 17:54Speaker 3: sides get a lot out of I think it is.
- 17:57Speaker 1: So it's a you know, uh so that's that's what
- 18:02Speaker 1: we constantly and we you know, will go to different
- 18:07Speaker 1: organizations and businesses and have you know, recruiting efforts to
- 18:15Speaker 1: try to find mentors whatever it can. And again we're
- 18:23Speaker 1: working with big brothers, big sisters, you know, they are
- 18:28Speaker 1: doing the same thing and they will say, well, hey,
- 18:34Speaker 1: we found someone that will better suited for what you're doing,
- 18:38Speaker 1: you know, because we're both doing the same thing. It's
- 18:42Speaker 1: a great partnership to come to exactly. Yes, I think.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And by the way, I'm on the board a big
- 18:50Speaker 1: brothers the state board, so I know you are involved
- 18:55Speaker 1: in so many things.
- 18:57Speaker 3: We're members of the new Rotary Club together, longtime friends
- 19:01Speaker 3: and the Rotary Club.
- 19:02Speaker 1: And you know.
- 19:03Speaker 3: That's a great organization that a lot of people don't
- 19:06Speaker 3: really understand how how powerful.
- 19:08Speaker 1: It is around the world.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I mean thousands of members around the world in each
- 19:15Speaker 3: but really local too. It's it's it's one of those
- 19:18Speaker 3: things where it's both just you know, we get to
- 19:21Speaker 3: lunch every week and break bread together and develop those relationships.
- 19:25Speaker 3: But then the impact of the organization is as scale
- 19:29Speaker 3: that you just can't imagine when you're there, and and
- 19:32Speaker 3: the programs every week we learn something new.
- 19:35Speaker 1: About stuff going on in the community around here. And
- 19:40Speaker 1: some of our members tonight are going to be helping
- 19:43Speaker 1: serve dinner for bridges out of poverty.
- 19:49Speaker 3: The same type thing volunteering continues right as an adult.
- 19:54Speaker 3: And and I mentioned your role in Friends indeed, uh,
- 19:58Speaker 3: you know, which is another one of those unique Bartlesville things.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Or and folks who don't know, and we're it's we're
- 20:05Speaker 3: six months away from it. Yeah, I doubt if you've
- 20:07Speaker 3: started preparing yet. You haven't called me for turkeys yet?
- 20:11Speaker 1: No, Yeah, about another month and I will start starting
- 20:15Speaker 1: to do it a little bit of ground.
- 20:17Speaker 3: It's a it's a free uh Christmas dinner for anyone
- 20:22Speaker 3: in the community.
- 20:23Speaker 1: You just show up.
- 20:25Speaker 3: They'll take you the dinner to your home if you
- 20:28Speaker 3: can't get there.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And there's volunteers, uh.
- 20:32Speaker 3: But were providing the food, providing the meals, so cooking
- 20:36Speaker 3: the food, uh, you know, serving the food.
- 20:40Speaker 2: You know, it's a sit down dinner. It's a it's
- 20:43Speaker 2: a really really great.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Program and on real real China out on it's a
- 20:50Speaker 3: it's a it's a true Christmas dinner and the spirit of.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Christmas friends, indeed Christmas Day dinner and some Christmas Day
- 21:01Speaker 1: I always because that's the first question people always ask me. Now,
- 21:07Speaker 1: what day is it? Home?
- 21:10Speaker 3: And I know I mentioned Try County earlier. You're also
- 21:13Speaker 3: on the board out there. I'm not mistaken.
- 21:15Speaker 1: We just had graduation tuesday. We had we went close
- 21:19Speaker 1: to Career Fair a few weeks ago and had a
- 21:21Speaker 1: booth there. Got to meet all.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Out great, great folks and it's such a I mean,
- 21:27Speaker 3: there's so many programs going on at Trick County now
- 21:30Speaker 3: and so many adults and young folks, and I mean,
- 21:35Speaker 3: it is a wonderful school here in Mallsville.
- 21:38Speaker 1: People just you know, it's a.
- 21:41Speaker 3: And it's uniquely situated, the oldest school of its type
- 21:46Speaker 3: in our state and doesn't doesn't I learned at Broadary
- 21:52Speaker 3: last week that it doesn't take federal funding and it's
- 21:56Speaker 3: pretty much all locally funded, much from your endowments and
- 21:59Speaker 3: from local UH sponsorships.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And so that's that makes it even more unique.
- 22:07Speaker 3: So, but not to stray too far from from the
- 22:13Speaker 3: youth of our community and what's going on with that.
- 22:16Speaker 3: If you're interested in mentoring or working with the in
- 22:20Speaker 3: this program we were talking about, to reach out to
- 22:22Speaker 3: the organization on the website, or you can called Gianna.
- 22:27Speaker 3: You know, she's she's the executive director of the program.
- 22:32Speaker 1: UH and UH.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Or if you have a young person who might be
- 22:36Speaker 3: suited for that or or you want to get them involved,
- 22:40Speaker 3: how does that work?
- 22:41Speaker 1: They contact you young scholars and yeah, always and you know,
- 22:48Speaker 1: we primarily we work through the school system. They're the
- 22:52Speaker 1: ones that let us know. But if any parent that's
- 22:57Speaker 1: interested can contact us, and yes, absolutely, any from sixth
- 23:02Speaker 1: grader through tenth graders just let us know and we'll
- 23:09Speaker 1: we'll always listen to you and really interesting. Any Bartlefield student, Yes,
- 23:18Speaker 1: well I know.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Another thing I know about you is you have a
- 23:22Speaker 3: RAP four and we have a brand new RAP for
- 23:26Speaker 3: and they've been really hard to get. They're starting to
- 23:30Speaker 3: become more available now. We just got four in an
- 23:33Speaker 3: allocation and I wanted to explain to people how this
- 23:37Speaker 3: is working. If you've been have you've seen the vehicle,
- 23:40Speaker 3: the commercials are out there. Twitter is really intentional about
- 23:44Speaker 3: releasing new product. They don't want to They want to
- 23:47Speaker 3: make sure it's perfect, and so they don't release them
- 23:51Speaker 3: in volume until they go through a whole bunch of
- 23:54Speaker 3: quality checks. And they're starting to build an allocation. Our
- 24:02Speaker 3: region got over two thousand of them and this allocation
- 24:06Speaker 3: we're getting this week, and we our share was for
- 24:10Speaker 3: not huge, but those four are available. We'll get details
- 24:14Speaker 3: on those probably later today, so we'll start to know
- 24:18Speaker 3: the trim levels and the different options they have. And
- 24:22Speaker 3: this happens every two weeks, so as these build now
- 24:25Speaker 3: we're going to have some availability. We get a lot
- 24:28Speaker 3: of people wanting to come and drive them and experience
- 24:31Speaker 3: the new vehicle.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Unfortunately they've all been sold.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Before they've really reached the dealership at this point, but
- 24:38Speaker 3: you know, we're working on that. Hopefully as the allocation increases,
- 24:43Speaker 3: we'll be able to have some in stock for you
- 24:45Speaker 3: to come experience. But our sales team can really help
- 24:48Speaker 3: you work through that even if you're not ready to
- 24:51Speaker 3: commit to purchase the vehicle. There's a process where we
- 24:55Speaker 3: can go by and what they call preference the vehicle
- 24:57Speaker 3: and kind of set it up the way you might
- 25:00Speaker 3: I like it. So we're happy to help you with
- 25:02Speaker 3: that process and if we as goes from preferencing to
- 25:08Speaker 3: pipeline trades and other ways to get that perfect vehicle
- 25:13Speaker 3: for you. So don't be frustrated if you're looking for that.
- 25:17Speaker 3: We've got great Toyota selection on the ground and vehicles
- 25:21Speaker 3: coming now. I think about fifty two of them either
- 25:25Speaker 3: on the ground or allocated to us at this point,
- 25:28Speaker 3: and like I said, we'll get several Another allocation become
- 25:32Speaker 3: visible tomorrow or later today, and it'll happen again at
- 25:37Speaker 3: the beginning of June, and it happens every two weeks,
- 25:40Speaker 3: So just reach out to our team. They're happy to
- 25:44Speaker 3: walk through you with that if there's something special year after.
- 25:48Speaker 3: As a small dealer, there's no way we can stock everything,
- 25:51Speaker 3: even in a perfect situation. And we're always working for
- 25:56Speaker 3: our customers to make that purchase experience be be great
- 26:02Speaker 3: and you know, simple, uh, transparent, fun to buy a car.

- 26:29Speaker 3: look online or see an ad, the prices the same
- 26:33Speaker 3: there as it is in the showroom or or in
- 26:36Speaker 3: any any process we make.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And I know that's working were We continue.
- 26:40Speaker 3: To get more and more great reviews and our sales
- 26:44Speaker 3: are up quite a bit this year as we lean
- 26:48Speaker 3: into being Toyota specific and only having the Toyota brand
- 26:53Speaker 3: has been a great move for us. With almost a
- 26:57Speaker 3: one hundred years of our family selling cars in Oklahom
- 27:00Speaker 3: really proud of that, and we're just excited to help you.
- 27:06Speaker 1: If you are interested in.
