- 1:35Speaker 1: good to see you. Good to see that. It's crazy. Uh.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I was just in your hometown and now now you're
- 1:41Speaker 1: out here right in your hometown. What's not my hometown?
- 1:44Speaker 1: I'm from Phoenix, where I currently call home, right, Los Angeles?
- 1:49Speaker 1: How was New York? How did they treat you about this?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Great man? It was Uh, I heard you was in
- 1:53Speaker 1: the trenches, definitely, man, But it was cool because we're
- 1:57Speaker 1: in Brooklyn. A lot of the time they were in
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Bronx, and then we went to the Woo's out
- 2:01Speaker 1: there right the Woos and then whatever ron Suno and
- 2:04Speaker 1: his guys, you know, shout out to ron Soo them
- 2:06Speaker 1: wild boys. Right, so we're in the Bronx. That ship
- 2:10Speaker 1: was crazy. I had to try the chop cheese. I
- 2:13Speaker 1: never had a chop cheese. I had it with barbecue ketchup,
- 2:16Speaker 1: which I didn't know was a thing. Yeah, I guess
- 2:19Speaker 1: ketchup mixed with barbecue sauce. Some New York ship right, amazing, Yo,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, these corner bodegas, the food is a stellar.
- 2:26Speaker 1: That's where it's at. Bro they know how to, they
- 2:28Speaker 1: know how to whip something. Ump. What's your go to
- 2:31Speaker 1: when you're like at like hitting up the bodega. I'll
- 2:35Speaker 1: keep it. I'll keep it on Turkey, Swiss cheese on
- 2:39Speaker 1: a hero Okay, little you know have some great Chinese
- 2:43Speaker 1: food in CANARSI shout out to. I think we had
- 2:45Speaker 1: chopped hot wings and pork fried, right, so you gotta
- 2:48Speaker 1: have you got it? Yeah, you chopped them up fire
- 2:51Speaker 1: they put you on. Yeah. I wanted to talk to you,
- 2:53Speaker 1: man because, like, you know, with what's going on, man,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I feel like it's important to kind of much base
- 3:00Speaker 1: with you man, because I you know, all this Asian
- 3:03Speaker 1: ship that's going on in these streets. Man, it's real
- 3:05Speaker 1: fucked up. I just saw a video today that really
- 3:07Speaker 1: had me in that like a I think it was
- 3:08Speaker 1: something you posted. Actually you might have posted it that.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It just hit me the wrong way man. And and
- 3:13Speaker 1: you know, I manage one of my best friends in
- 3:16Speaker 1: Vietnamese and my radio show producer is Filipino, and it
- 3:21Speaker 1: feels like there's something going on right now. And uh yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just man like, kind of as a leader of
- 3:30Speaker 1: the community, what first of all, what do you think
- 3:33Speaker 1: is that that's happening? And how can people like kind
- 3:35Speaker 1: of you know, I don't think a lot of people
- 3:38Speaker 1: they could repost it on social media, but what are
- 3:41Speaker 1: the things you think that are actionable that people could
- 3:43Speaker 1: do to kind of, you know, help out. What I
- 3:49Speaker 1: think is going on is basically, you know, all of
- 3:55Speaker 1: this ship is is a byproduct of you know, the coronavirus.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, And you know where they're
- 4:08Speaker 1: saying it came from China and and and how how
- 4:12Speaker 1: are government and how the media spun it, you know
- 4:18Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like, you know, with Trump coming on,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I think the China virus thing was like you know
- 4:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying like that was that was a little
- 4:27Speaker 1: I think that that kind of made it okay for
- 4:29Speaker 1: a lot of people to like kind of normalized making
- 4:33Speaker 1: it about race, if you will, as opposed to like
- 4:37Speaker 1: what it is, you know what I mean. Yeah, that's
- 4:39Speaker 1: exactly what they did. You know. They they called it
- 4:42Speaker 1: the kung fu the virus, the China virus. Like the
- 4:47Speaker 1: way they said it and the way the media, the
- 4:49Speaker 1: news was spending it, it was disrespectful, right, you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: because of you know, whatever whatever standings that America has
- 4:58Speaker 1: with China, right, whatever that is. You know, at the
- 5:01Speaker 1: end of the day, I'm Chinese, but I'm American. I
- 5:04Speaker 1: was born and raised here. Like, I don't know that
- 5:06Speaker 1: I go to China, They're not going to treat me
- 5:08Speaker 1: like I'm Chinese, you know what I'm saying, because I'm American,
- 5:10Speaker 1: feel me, so, I don't know what the fuck is
- 5:13Speaker 1: going I don't know what's going on out there. I
- 5:15Speaker 1: don't know. I mean, but because how they they they
- 5:19Speaker 1: they they spin it in the media. It makes it
- 5:23Speaker 1: look like, all right, oh well, whoa, it's not just
- 5:26Speaker 1: the people. If not, it's not just the government China,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's the Chinese people, right, And in America, we don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: know anybody. Besides, we don't know any other Asian ethnicities
- 5:39Speaker 1: besides Chinese. Right, everybody's Chinese to a lot of people,
- 5:42Speaker 1: you know people, so a lot of people, right, So
- 5:44Speaker 1: when you when you do that, But but everybody's not Chinese.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Asia is made up of forty eight different countries Malaysians
- 5:52Speaker 1: with different languages. We don't speak it. It's not like
- 5:54Speaker 1: Puerto Ricans and Mexicans. They speak different versions of Spanish,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but it's still Spanish and they're rooted in Spanish. We
- 6:00Speaker 1: speak totally different shiit like we don't. The culture is different,
- 6:05Speaker 1: everything's different, different, the food is different. It's a whole
- 6:08Speaker 1: different world, you know what I'm saying. So now when
- 6:11Speaker 1: somebody like Trump comes out and says, yo, the China virus,
- 6:16Speaker 1: the Kung Fu virus, right, and then put it in
- 6:18Speaker 1: a disrespectful spin right now, the media spins it and
- 6:23Speaker 1: then yeah, sure, it's like you know, everybody that's doing
- 6:27Speaker 1: these things and that's partaking in these things aren't like
- 6:30Speaker 1: Trump supporters. But it's not just Trump, it's the whole
- 6:33Speaker 1: media like spinning this this this, you know this ship
- 6:37Speaker 1: So now people what we're seeing is a byproduct of that,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, like people you know, taking
- 6:44Speaker 1: people subscribing to that ship. And then you got to
- 6:48Speaker 1: understand the the coronavirus shut the world down for a
- 6:53Speaker 1: whole year. For sure, we never seen that before. And
- 6:57Speaker 1: for China probably, I mean, well, China's probably handled it
- 7:00Speaker 1: the most swiftly, right, But in America, right in America,
- 7:04Speaker 1: are ship shut down for a whole year? Right? And
- 7:07Speaker 1: that that fucked up a lot of things for people.
- 7:09Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It made people stay in
- 7:11Speaker 1: the house for months. It messed up people's jobs, business,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. People people who needed like
- 7:19Speaker 1: mental like like you know, any type of care or
- 7:22Speaker 1: shit like that. They didn't get that. You know what
- 7:24Speaker 1: I mean. Hospitals are closing, they're letting people go. Police
- 7:28Speaker 1: is pulling back. You know, all of this is happening, right,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and with you know, they need people need somebody to blame.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, People need somebody to blame. Like,
- 7:38Speaker 1: you know, I'm frustrated, like all of this is happening.
- 7:40Speaker 1: But you know, and then so now when the media says, oh,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's the Chinese virus. It's the kung fu virus, you
- 7:48Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Then people go and respond to that,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean, People that has mental disabilities,
- 7:54Speaker 1: people that has like just you know that just that
- 7:57Speaker 1: that's just messed up in the head, or people that's
- 8:00Speaker 1: just frustrated, that's bored, that just want to do some
- 8:02Speaker 1: stupid shit. You know what I'm saying, They're gonna go
- 8:05Speaker 1: and do this stupid shit. And that's what's happening right now.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know. I feel like, you know, this is just
- 8:11Speaker 1: you know, this is this is this is the byproduct
- 8:14Speaker 1: of that. And I don't feel like this shit is
- 8:16Speaker 1: gonna go nowhere no time soon, because America and China
- 8:21Speaker 1: got their thing, you know what I'm saying, whatever that
- 8:23Speaker 1: thing is, you know, it's definitely its competition. It's their
- 8:25Speaker 1: adversar areas on the economical side, and you know, one
- 8:29Speaker 1: hundred percent, Yeah, what I think to a lot of
- 8:32Speaker 1: it also is like I feel like two groups of
- 8:36Speaker 1: people have always kind of been the butt of a
- 8:38Speaker 1: lot of jokes in movies and comedy skits, and I
- 8:41Speaker 1: feel like it's it's it's people from India and Asian people, right,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and which you are Asian people, right, they're both in
- 8:49Speaker 1: the content innovation, right, but like Chinese yet you know.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But but and by the way, y'all have been cool
- 8:57Speaker 1: all these years, you know for the most part. You know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: like if you think of the stereotypes when you watch
- 9:02Speaker 1: movies that are heavily played up, you know what I mean.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I also think that that has to do with too,
- 9:09Speaker 1: like where it's almost like like it's sad that something
- 9:15Speaker 1: like this is happening. That's kind of making people realize
- 9:18Speaker 1: like yo, like it's it's because that conversation wasn't happening
- 9:23Speaker 1: before these attacks are happening. It was just kind of
- 9:25Speaker 1: like like did do you feel that way as well? Likesation,
- 9:29Speaker 1: just the conversations of like hey, like you know, like
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's not okay to joke on Asians, Like it's not
- 9:34Speaker 1: okay to like do this that, you know, because I
- 9:37Speaker 1: do feel like watching movies in SNL or whatever the
- 9:42Speaker 1: fuck it is, Asian people have always taken the stereotypes
- 9:46Speaker 1: and on the chin, like my homies who are Asian,
- 9:48Speaker 1: same way, you know what I mean. But I feel
- 9:49Speaker 1: like now there's like a real spotlight like yo, maybe
- 9:51Speaker 1: that type of shit isn't okay because it might normalize
- 9:53Speaker 1: or even like desensitize people to like apply to being Asian,
- 9:58Speaker 1: like what, you know what I mean? Yeah, I mean, yeah,
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's been normalized because you know what. But and that's too,
- 10:05Speaker 1: by the way, you've done a great job of calling
- 10:07Speaker 1: that shit out for a while, right, And that's because
- 10:09Speaker 1: we ain't been calling this shit out. We've been letting
- 10:11Speaker 1: this ship slide. We've been, you know what I'm saying,
- 10:13Speaker 1: We've been. We've been. We've just been, like you know,
- 10:16Speaker 1: just taking it on the chin and putting our heads
- 10:18Speaker 1: down and shit like that. Or you know, most of us,
- 10:21Speaker 1: not all of us. But you know what I mean,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I guess whoever's been in the spotlight, you know what
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm saying, whoever has had the ability to speak about shit.
- 10:28Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, we ain't really talking. We
- 10:30Speaker 1: ain't really putting up a fight about shit, you feel me,
- 10:33Speaker 1: And I think that is a big reason why this
- 10:37Speaker 1: ship continuously happens. You know what I'm saying. You let
- 10:40Speaker 1: a motherfucker, you give the motherfucker and she's gonna take
- 10:43Speaker 1: him out. And you let a motherfucker take advantage of
- 10:46Speaker 1: you you're gonna be taking advantage of you know what
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm saying. So you know, and that's just so now
- 10:51Speaker 1: where all of this that's happened, and now you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: it's good to see because at the end of the day,
- 10:58Speaker 1: when I first saw these these things for transpiring, I
- 11:02Speaker 1: was the first to do an Asian rally on like yo,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you know, calling out like like these attacks on our people,
- 11:10Speaker 1: and it's not just our people. It's not just regular people.
- 11:13Speaker 1: These are elderly you know what I'm saying, that's like,
- 11:15Speaker 1: that's eighty nine year old people, Like, like fuck is
- 11:20Speaker 1: wrong with people? Like I don't understand what the fuckers want?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Like eighty like motherfuckers is attacking all people you know what?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Will race? Yeah, they're like, yo, how crazy is that
- 11:29Speaker 1: kind of stay all like who the fuck raised you?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Like like like what the fuck you got going on
- 11:35Speaker 1: in your fucking mind? You're attacking somebody that's eighty nine
- 11:37Speaker 1: years old? Bro, Like, can't even you fucking dumb? It's
- 11:40Speaker 1: crazy stupid, it's crazy and and and a lot of
- 11:43Speaker 1: and the way the media is spinning it is like
- 11:45Speaker 1: all black people are like that's a lot of Asian
- 11:47Speaker 1: people for like all black people hate us, and I'm
- 11:51Speaker 1: I'm like, you know what I'm saying. I'm outside with
- 11:53Speaker 1: black people all day. Like I say, you know, all
- 11:56Speaker 1: the people I know that are active on Black Lives
- 12:00Speaker 1: Matter movement are also active like going to protest for
- 12:03Speaker 1: the for the stop Asian hate and all that shit.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But I do think talk about that narrative because there
- 12:09Speaker 1: is a narrative kind of going on right now that
- 12:11Speaker 1: it's something between because a lot of these attacks have
- 12:14Speaker 1: been African Americans on Asians, right, not all of them.
- 12:17Speaker 1: There's stuff in Atlanta with some white dude who probably
- 12:19Speaker 1: got no pussy in his life, yea, but a lot
- 12:21Speaker 1: of it. You see a lot of these videos, and
- 12:23Speaker 1: it's happening, you know, it's happening from the black community
- 12:28Speaker 1: towards the Asian community. Right. Let's not say the black community.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Let's just say it's happening by individuals who, yeah, but
- 12:35Speaker 1: they happen not the black community, right, right, right, right,
- 12:38Speaker 1: not the black community, but people people who are black, Right.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You see a lot of videos like that, you know
- 12:43Speaker 1: what I'm saying, And I think that you know, at
- 12:47Speaker 1: the end of the day, at the end of the day,
- 12:53Speaker 1: I feel like, yo, These attacks are not just happening
- 12:56Speaker 1: from Black people towards Asian people. These attacks are happening.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I've seen videos white people doing it. I've seen videos
- 13:04Speaker 1: of Spanish people doing it. Everybody, Like, you know what
- 13:08Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like, it's not just black people, but you
- 13:10Speaker 1: see a lot of these videos happening, And I don't
- 13:12Speaker 1: know why, you know what I'm saying, I don't know why.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I don't think that it's because black people hate Asian people.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I don't feel like that because I'm because I hang
- 13:22Speaker 1: around black people all the time, and I don't I
- 13:23Speaker 1: don't feel that. It's not what I feel. You know
- 13:25Speaker 1: what I'm saying. What I do feel is that there
- 13:28Speaker 1: are a lot of people who are subscribing to that shit,
- 13:34Speaker 1: a lot of people who need to be in these
- 13:36Speaker 1: mental institutions. You look at a lot of these things
- 13:38Speaker 1: that's happening right Look at in New York the guy
- 13:40Speaker 1: outside the grocery store. I think he was out of
- 13:43Speaker 1: jail for some crazy shit that he did do his
- 13:45Speaker 1: mom or something, right, he killed his mother. Everybody, everybody
- 13:48Speaker 1: that's doing this type of shit, I guarantee not everybody,
- 13:51Speaker 1: but a lot of these people. Man you're seeing like
- 13:54Speaker 1: crimes of opportunity, but you're also seeing mental health is
- 13:57Speaker 1: mental issues, you know what I'm saying. And it's not
- 14:00Speaker 1: going to Like it's not just the Asian community that's
- 14:03Speaker 1: getting fucked up right now. A lot of people. Crime
- 14:06Speaker 1: is up, especially in New York, especially in different places,
- 14:10Speaker 1: certain places, like crime is up, people getting shot every day. People,
- 14:14Speaker 1: And it's not just Asian people. Like you know what
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm saying, there's a lot of people. It's a lot
- 14:18Speaker 1: of going on. It's a lot of shit going on,
- 14:20Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Like you know, and and
- 14:22Speaker 1: and I think that, you know, I think there's a
- 14:25Speaker 1: that we have to just be mindful of why ship
- 14:28Speaker 1: gets spun to us while all of a sudden, ship
- 14:31Speaker 1: is just like getting fed to us, while all of
- 14:33Speaker 1: a sudden, like you know, all of this infamit like
- 14:37Speaker 1: all you see all these videos just catering to one
- 14:39Speaker 1: group and then catering like it's just you know, I
- 14:41Speaker 1: don't know, algorithm right like that, it's like whatever you
- 14:45Speaker 1: believe or you think they're gonna keep on getting, you're
- 14:47Speaker 1: gonna make no matter what platform you're on. You can
- 14:50Speaker 1: feel some type of way and that algorithm will keep
- 14:54Speaker 1: they will keep reconfirming your thoughts with whatever content they
- 14:57Speaker 1: push to you. Right, And that's what's fucked up because, like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: like you said, like if you're if you're somebody who
- 15:03Speaker 1: even like let's say you've voted for Trump, right, or
- 15:05Speaker 1: you're you're a conservative. Because I'm not saying all conservatives
- 15:07Speaker 1: are bad. I don't think all people voted for Trump
- 15:09Speaker 1: are bad, right, I don't fuck with dude. But it's
- 15:13Speaker 1: like I see it on face, Like I stay off
- 15:17Speaker 1: of Facebook, but you know, sometimes on my But Facebook's
- 15:19Speaker 1: fucked up cause like anybody who already thinks that this
- 15:24Speaker 1: is what's going on, they're gonna that shit is out
- 15:27Speaker 1: there to just make them double down on those beliefs.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And so if Trump is pushing the kung Fu virus
- 15:34Speaker 1: and the China virus and all this shit, it's like
- 15:37Speaker 1: people are just gonna keep seeing more shit about China
- 15:39Speaker 1: and how China's getting over on America and all this shit.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It's like, I just feel like, no matter what your
- 15:44Speaker 1: prejudice might be, your belief might be, if you're online
- 15:48Speaker 1: and you don't step outside of your social circle, you're
- 15:51Speaker 1: never gonna like you're just gonna those beliefs are gonna
- 15:54Speaker 1: get reaffirmed, you know what I mean, like, which is
- 15:57Speaker 1: it's kind of crazy because something's got to give. And
- 16:01Speaker 1: then you got people that that, and then you got
- 16:03Speaker 1: people that just want to like you know, promote the bullshit.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like this dude, Charleston White.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I've seen this stupid motherfucker. Like honestly, I seen a
- 16:14Speaker 1: couple of his videos, you know what I'm saying. He
- 16:17Speaker 1: like like but he says some ship and he kept
- 16:20Speaker 1: on talking shit about the Asian people, talking about us
- 16:22Speaker 1: like we dogs and shit like that, talking about us crazy.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And I seen him talk about other things crazy too,
- 16:28Speaker 1: like he talked about X. He just he's the type
- 16:31Speaker 1: of motherfucker that's not that old head that's always online
- 16:33Speaker 1: just running his mouth. Yeah yeah, I see, Yeah, this bozo.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. He just want to take
- 16:39Speaker 1: something that's hot and want to like like you know
- 16:42Speaker 1: what I mean, like poor gas on it. But he
- 16:44Speaker 1: want to spin it his way so he could like
- 16:46Speaker 1: get clout and get people to listen to him, and
- 16:49Speaker 1: then and then he'll spin it a certain way and
- 16:52Speaker 1: then you know what I'm saying like he he he
- 16:54Speaker 1: the type of motherfucker that's gonna get like you know,
- 16:57Speaker 1: he's not. He's no good, bro. He the type of
- 16:59Speaker 1: motherfucker that you start listening to you he had start
- 17:02Speaker 1: putting dumb shit in your head. You know what I'm saying.
- 17:05Speaker 1: And he's saying all of this shit, he says, it's crazy,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. But certain shit he's saying,
- 17:10Speaker 1: like you know, he was talking about Johnny dang right,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and then he was just so I hate Asian motherfuckers.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Every Asian motherfucker need the motherfucking die. I don't give
- 17:19Speaker 1: a fuck. I spit on the Asian motherfucker. Man. That's crazy, man,
- 17:26Speaker 1: And I saw that shit, and that's just ignorant, Like
- 17:29Speaker 1: that's just pure racum. That's super fucking racist. I would
- 17:34Speaker 1: punch that motherfucker in the mouth. I wouldn't give a
- 17:35Speaker 1: fuck if he got twenty one hundred people with him. Now.
- 17:38Speaker 1: I punched him right in this ship, and we just
- 17:40Speaker 1: gonna have to get it. We just gonna have to
- 17:41Speaker 1: get it with a hundred motherfuckers. Bro. Fuck you mean, bro,
- 17:44Speaker 1: you fix your mouth to say some dumb shit like that. Bro,
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like imagine if somebody else says some shit like that
- 17:49Speaker 1: to to another race, like to the back, that would
- 17:51Speaker 1: be crazy. You know what I'm saying. I would never
- 17:53Speaker 1: fix my mouth to say no dumb shit like that
- 17:55Speaker 1: to anybody. You feel me? Put this stupid motherfucker out
- 17:58Speaker 1: here promoting that, Like, how has he not been banned
- 18:02Speaker 1: on Instagram or twist? Mother, there's a lot of stupid
- 18:04Speaker 1: motherfuckers out here, man, motherfuckers like that shit. Bro, motherfuckers
- 18:08Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying, that's hate speech, bro, facts,
- 18:12Speaker 1: that's hate speech. Facts That shouldn't make me like that
- 18:16Speaker 1: should make me upset, Bro, you know what I'm saying,
- 18:18Speaker 1: That should make me upset. Motherfuckers. Now, I understand, I understand,
- 18:22Speaker 1: like the Black community and the Asian community hasn't you know,
- 18:26Speaker 1: we have our differences, you know what I'm saying, there's
- 18:28Speaker 1: a lot of this tension, But that tension ain't never
- 18:31Speaker 1: like Asian movel. Asian people ain't never motherfucking like rounded
- 18:35Speaker 1: up black people and did crit not in America. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, Hey, look, hey, hey, there
- 18:40Speaker 1: was Japanese concentration camp, right we in America? Like, yeah, dude,
- 18:43Speaker 1: we have, Like we have a lot of differences, right,
- 18:47Speaker 1: there's a lot of difference because it's different cultures. You understand,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm saying Asian people come from different cultures. Everybody. Look
- 18:52Speaker 1: the way I look at it is whether you're Asian,
- 18:55Speaker 1: you're Hispanic, you're Irish or whatever, everyone comes from whatever
- 19:00Speaker 1: culture they're in, right, But no matter what, we all
- 19:04Speaker 1: have common ground. What a lot of it is is
- 19:07Speaker 1: based in cuisine. A lot of it is based in
- 19:10Speaker 1: you know, maybe cinema or you know, there's people who
- 19:12Speaker 1: love Yo. How can you not love growing up in
- 19:16Speaker 1: the nineties and love Jackie Chan movies? You know what
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like there's so much like Yo. Where's common ground?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Like Yo? Like everyone should have their own way of
- 19:24Speaker 1: life because that's culture, right, But like we're all humans
- 19:28Speaker 1: and also like you know, you know, even coming up
- 19:30Speaker 1: like your era, like your generation is probably the generation
- 19:33Speaker 1: that's bridging the gap for everybody. Like I feel like
- 19:36Speaker 1: our generation in general that didn't grow up in the
- 19:38Speaker 1: fifties and sixties, which it was like real sex or
- 19:41Speaker 1: ultra segregated. Like I feel like, like you said, we're
- 19:45Speaker 1: like I don't even my friend group is so diverse.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It's insane, you know what I'm saying, right, But now
- 19:51Speaker 1: that's that hate speech shit is crazy. I've seen that
- 19:54Speaker 1: dude shit too. I don't understand how somebody like that
- 19:56Speaker 1: gets banned, like don't get banned like on these platforms.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It's like, like, no one like that should have a
- 20:01Speaker 1: platform and be able to use it to promote that
- 20:03Speaker 1: kind of hate. That's insane. Yeah, but that's that. Like
- 20:05Speaker 1: if that was if that dude was a clan leader
- 20:08Speaker 1: or something, his shit would get taken off the offline,
- 20:11Speaker 1: they would erase him. They took Alex Jones off of
- 20:13Speaker 1: all platforms. You know what I'm saying, Like, that shit
- 20:16Speaker 1: is crazy, right. I don't think I think he's going
- 20:19Speaker 1: like viral on YouTube and ship like that, but they
- 20:24Speaker 1: got to take his ship off. That's crazy, man. But
- 20:28Speaker 1: I do think, like, you know, at the at the
- 20:31Speaker 1: very least, like there is some sort of dialogue being
- 20:35Speaker 1: had now, and I think that that has never been had, right,
- 20:38Speaker 1: And that's and that's and that's sufficient. That's why I
- 20:39Speaker 1: try to use my platform for because at the end
- 20:42Speaker 1: of the day, I'm Chinese, right, But I was born
- 20:44Speaker 1: and raised in New York City. I was born in Brooklyn.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I was raised in New York City, but I was
- 20:49Speaker 1: also raised in Chinatown with my family, you know what
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm saying. That sheltered me and the Chinese family. But
- 20:54Speaker 1: then when I was like seven eight years old, I
- 20:57Speaker 1: went into the system group homs, boys, home attention centers.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Wasn't no Asian people there, you know what I'm saying.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Everybody was from. Everybody was black, h Spanish, Puerto Rican,
- 21:09Speaker 1: you know, shit like that, you know what I'm saying.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So I had to you know, at a very early age.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I just got thrust into that world, right. But then
- 21:18Speaker 1: at first it was hard, you know what I'm saying,
- 21:20Speaker 1: because it's like I'm like a fucking unicorn, you know
- 21:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I think we said that ship before
- 21:27Speaker 1: on the last interview on but I'm like a unicorn
- 21:30Speaker 1: in that bitch like motherfuckers. And then you know, I'm
- 21:32Speaker 1: at the butt of every joke because I'm the only
- 21:34Speaker 1: Asian person there. So everybody got a joke, everybody trying
- 21:37Speaker 1: to pick on me, everybody trying to So I had
- 21:39Speaker 1: to learn how to, you know, I had to learn
- 21:43Speaker 1: how to you know, bridge that gap, you know what
- 21:46Speaker 1: I'm saying, I had to. I had to fix some shit.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I had to. I had to assimilate to that environment.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And what I learned is
- 21:53Speaker 1: you know from my experience. You know, yes, I went
- 21:57Speaker 1: through racist ship. People was calling me all types of race,
- 22:00Speaker 1: his names, all types of shit like that. But that
- 22:02Speaker 1: didn't come from a place of hate, you know what
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm saying. You, Like I said, I think you know,
- 22:09Speaker 1: it's it's been normalized that Asian people take jokes very well, right,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and it's you know, it's it's on TV. It's on
- 22:15Speaker 1: TV shows, like you know what I mean. Like and
- 22:18Speaker 1: like you said, that's the company you were keeping. You're
- 22:22Speaker 1: probably the only Asian dude around, so it was probably
- 22:24Speaker 1: low hanging fruit to just crack jokes, right, And I'm
- 22:27Speaker 1: guilty of cracking jokes all my Asian friends that I
- 22:30Speaker 1: mean in a playful manner. Obviously we joke on each other.
- 22:33Speaker 1: We you know, we bust balls. But like, like I said,
- 22:35Speaker 1: like I think that like the dialogue happening has never
- 22:38Speaker 1: happened before. It's never but I've been having this dialogue,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, because I'm always the only
- 22:43Speaker 1: You're always the representative of yeah, yeah, and and and
- 22:48Speaker 1: people be like yo, you know, oh, you know whatever, right, like,
- 22:54Speaker 1: but I've been speaking up for my for for people
- 22:57Speaker 1: that look this has been happening. Yeah, you've been there
- 23:00Speaker 1: speaking speaking about this ship. When in prison, you feel
- 23:03Speaker 1: me and rk az Allen we in maximum we in
- 23:08Speaker 1: the maximum houses. You know what I'm saying. The Beacon
- 23:10Speaker 1: nine A seven B like like C seventy four. Shit,
- 23:16Speaker 1: shit going up and smoke every day, red along, people
- 23:19Speaker 1: getting cut shot, shit, hectic, crazy. You know what I'm saying.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Asian people coming there, there's not a lot of Asian
- 23:25Speaker 1: people in there, bro and a lot of US. A
- 23:27Speaker 1: lot of Asian people that pull up in them spots
- 23:28Speaker 1: don't know English. You feel me because a lot of
- 23:31Speaker 1: cause cause so when they pull up in there, they
- 23:33Speaker 1: getting you know, they getting taken advantage of, you know
- 23:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So now when I pull up in
- 23:38Speaker 1: the spot, you know what I mean. I'm not gonna
- 23:40Speaker 1: say I'm the toughest motherfucker, because I'm far from the
- 23:42Speaker 1: toughest motherfucker. But i ain't gonna let nobody do nothing
- 23:45Speaker 1: to me. You know what I'm saying, Without me doing
- 23:47Speaker 1: like like fighting back. I'm gonna defend myself. And if
- 23:49Speaker 1: I can't live in the house or we're gonna go
- 23:51Speaker 1: up and smoke, I'm gonna pop it off. I'm pop
- 23:53Speaker 1: the bottle and we out of there, you know what
- 23:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. And I'm not gonna live nowhere where I
- 23:57Speaker 1: can't live like where you ain't gonna treat me like
- 23:59Speaker 1: a man, gonna bitch me, you know what I'm saying.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm not gonna sitting on the floor for nobody. I'm
- 24:03Speaker 1: not gonna motherfucking just not get on the phone for nobody.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let nobody, nobody give me a half
- 24:08Speaker 1: a chicken or scoop of fucking rice. I'm fighting. I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: gonna bang that motherfucking trail in your fucking face, and
- 24:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna get jumped by twenty fifty people and we
- 24:17Speaker 1: out of there, you know what I'm saying. But so
- 24:19Speaker 1: I did that because I learned that the only way
- 24:21Speaker 1: for me to survive in the situation like that is
- 24:23Speaker 1: to give it up, you know what I'm saying. And
- 24:25Speaker 1: once I give it up, then motherfucker's gonna be like nah,
- 24:27Speaker 1: you know, like like you know what I'm saying, they
- 24:30Speaker 1: not gonna do it, you know what I'm saying. So
- 24:31Speaker 1: now when I see other Asians pull up Asian people
- 24:34Speaker 1: look at me like I'm not Asian because I don't
- 24:37Speaker 1: have it. I'm not you know what I'm saying. I
- 24:39Speaker 1: was brought up different. You feel me. So when they
- 24:41Speaker 1: hear me talk, they hear me move, they see how
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm maneuver and shit, they don't look at me like
- 24:46Speaker 1: I'm Asian. But at the end of the day, I
- 24:48Speaker 1: never let how they look at me dictate my stance
- 24:55Speaker 1: for my people. You feel me. I know that's a week.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That's some weak shit, you know what I mean. Like, Yo,
- 25:00Speaker 1: if people look at Dann, fuck them. I don't give
- 25:02Speaker 1: a fuck about Asian people like you know what I'm saying,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I hang out with black people anyway. I would never
- 25:06Speaker 1: do that, you know what I'm saying. If I see somebody,
- 25:09Speaker 1: even if he don't accept me as an Asian, I'm
- 25:11Speaker 1: always gonna stand there for the motherfuckers because at the
- 25:13Speaker 1: end of the day, I'm a representation for my people.
- 25:15Speaker 1: My people is because nobody's gonna respect me if I
- 25:18Speaker 1: just let my people get you know what I'm saying, yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I mean I remember you. I think it was a
- 25:22Speaker 1: little pumpy called out. Yeah, I mean, but like but
- 25:24Speaker 1: you've but you've always been a very vocal representative of
- 25:29Speaker 1: as I should. Of course, as if you were, people
- 25:32Speaker 1: look at you crazy as I should and not enough
- 25:35Speaker 1: for my not enough for Asian people are doing that,
- 25:39Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I think that's that's
- 25:41Speaker 1: another reason why these ships, these attacks be happening because
- 25:44Speaker 1: a lot of us don't. You know what I'm saying.
- 25:46Speaker 1: We were not standing enough for our people. We mind
- 25:48Speaker 1: our business, you know what I'm saying. But at the
- 25:50Speaker 1: end of the day, you know what I mean, nowadays
- 25:52Speaker 1: we can't mind our business. I see mother, I see
- 25:55Speaker 1: videos men standing there and and people attack Asian elder
- 26:03Speaker 1: or a woman just and they don't do ship. That
- 26:07Speaker 1: should make me so fucking mad. You're gonna let this
- 26:09Speaker 1: motherfucker come on the fucking street and fucking and punch
- 26:13Speaker 1: an old lady and you're not gonna do You're gonna
- 26:15Speaker 1: let the motherfucker walk off the street, you pussy motherfucker.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Bro Yo bro Thing. He's our security guard at that
- 26:21Speaker 1: grocery store who shut the door right in New York.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I was like, Bro, who the fuck who raised that? Dude? Crazy?
- 26:28Speaker 1: Shut the door, Like bro, you gotta go out like
- 26:30Speaker 1: that's an old lady. Bro like the fuck Like yeah, nah, NOA,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I hear you man. It's it's it's it's hard to
- 26:37Speaker 1: you know. Like I said, there, there's there's with every
- 26:41Speaker 1: single situation, there's some silver lining and at least these
- 26:43Speaker 1: conversations are being had. Yeah, and that's the most important
- 26:46Speaker 1: ship that we have in these conversations and that people
- 26:49Speaker 1: are starting to open up. And I think, like I
- 26:51Speaker 1: was trying to say before, like between the black community
- 26:54Speaker 1: and Asian community, not enough conversation has been had, you
- 26:57Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And it's just if we we
- 27:00Speaker 1: have more conversation than we will understand. Like hey, you
- 27:03Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, like not all like it's not hate,
- 27:06Speaker 1: it's not we don't know, it's not hate from either side,
- 27:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, It's just misunderstanding. A lot
- 27:10Speaker 1: of us need to just you know, have these conversations,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you know, And as long as we have these conversations,
- 27:16Speaker 1: then more understanding will be and that's what's gonna you know,
- 27:20Speaker 1: kind of change certain shit but at the same time,
- 27:23Speaker 1: all people got to step up, bro like like like
- 27:26Speaker 1: we got a man to fuck up, Like we can't
- 27:28Speaker 1: just be letting people come in our communities no matter
- 27:31Speaker 1: what color they are. They could be fucking purple, you
- 27:33Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, whatever the fuck they are, nobody
- 27:36Speaker 1: should be able, should be allowed to come on into
- 27:39Speaker 1: the communities that's not of the community and abuse people
- 27:42Speaker 1: in the community like that motherfucker shouldn't walk out that
- 27:45Speaker 1: motherfucking And that's any community, that's not just Asian community.
- 27:48Speaker 1: That's everything. But I know, but I know for a fact,
- 27:51Speaker 1: like if if if a white person or Asian person
- 27:56Speaker 1: will will walk in the middle of Crenshaw right and
- 28:00Speaker 1: just pick some random old black lady. You know what
- 28:03Speaker 1: I'm saying, They ain't getting out, They not getting out
- 28:05Speaker 1: motherfuckers hopping out calls and rightfully so as they motherfucking should.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And that's any But I think that's I mean, look,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I'm talking about just human shit, Like anybody who's a
- 28:15Speaker 1: human who's got a fucking set of nuts. You can't
- 28:19Speaker 1: just witness any human like I don't care even if
- 28:21Speaker 1: they're not old like that shit is crazy, Like how
- 28:24Speaker 1: do you not step up. It's like if you watch
- 28:26Speaker 1: some dude fuck up his girl in front of you
- 28:27Speaker 1: and you're just like, hey, ain't my business, Like bro,
- 28:29Speaker 1: that's like, bro, you gotta he it. But that type
- 28:31Speaker 1: of shit like look people like like like somebody get
- 28:35Speaker 1: into it with they girl and somebody like you see
- 28:37Speaker 1: some dude punch a woman in the face, You're like, bro,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta just outside of something. As a guy,
- 28:43Speaker 1: I can't just like let that fly, you know what
- 28:45Speaker 1: I'm saying. So it makes it worse if it's an
- 28:48Speaker 1: old lady or you know, like like you said, all
- 28:51Speaker 1: race shit aside person to person. That's some wild shit
- 28:55Speaker 1: to just walk past. And I know, the think about
- 28:57Speaker 1: New York is everyone's very good at minding their own business.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Everyone just kind of is on their way to wherever
- 29:02Speaker 1: they're going, right, But you know, Smash, it's crazy, bro, Yo.

- 30:08Speaker 1: back to it. What were your thoughts on the YG
- 30:15Speaker 1: song Getting You know that song came out in twenty thirteen, right,
- 30:21Speaker 1: and I I liked the song. It's like it was,
- 30:24Speaker 1: I mean, it's a classic album in my opinion. I
- 30:27Speaker 1: wasn't really a fan of First of all, the song's
- 30:32Speaker 1: been out for as long as it's been out, so
- 30:33Speaker 1: anybody who's heard has heard it. And I thought that
- 30:35Speaker 1: the whole outcry of it, if anything, brought more people
- 30:39Speaker 1: to listen to the song. But what were your thoughts
- 30:42Speaker 1: on that song kind of getting canceled? I guess, I mean,
- 30:50Speaker 1: I think I know what he's say on it. He said,
- 30:55Speaker 1: he said something find the Asian neighborhood and going house
- 31:00Speaker 1: because they don't keep cash and ship like that, right,
- 31:02Speaker 1: pretty much exactly what he said. That's basically what he says. Okay, bruh,
- 31:10Speaker 1: I mean, that's the truth. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That's the fucking truth. Asian people, well, you know what
- 31:17Speaker 1: I'm saying, since I was a kid, that's Asian people
- 31:20Speaker 1: keep cash in the house. They don't like to go
- 31:22Speaker 1: to the bank, you know what I mean. And they
- 31:25Speaker 1: wear they wear good jewelry, you know what I'm saying.
- 31:28Speaker 1: So if I'm a robber, I'm gonna go to the
- 31:32Speaker 1: easy Vic. You know what I'm saying, I'm gonna go
- 31:34Speaker 1: where I know this money. Why the fuck I'm gonna
- 31:36Speaker 1: go here? You know? Money here? Oh? They got money,
- 31:39Speaker 1: they coming from the stores whatever. All right. You know
- 31:42Speaker 1: what I'm saying that if I'm a robber, it's not
- 31:44Speaker 1: a race thing for me. It's not I'm not racist
- 31:48Speaker 1: doing it. It's a good crime of opportunity. And you
- 31:50Speaker 1: make that available, you make that available, then then that
- 31:54Speaker 1: that's something that that's the situation that you made available.
- 31:58Speaker 1: You understand I'm saying. So once people start understanding what
- 32:01Speaker 1: you're doing, then it's up to us to change it. Now.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I don't think I think it was irresponsible on his behalf,
- 32:07Speaker 1: you feel me, But you know, I don't think he
- 32:09Speaker 1: was talking about I was. He was thinking about responsibility
- 32:12Speaker 1: when he made that song. You feel. I definitely think
- 32:14Speaker 1: it was irresponsible, but it was his truth truth. I
- 32:17Speaker 1: don't think My thing was when I started hearing people
- 32:20Speaker 1: call it quote unquote racist and I'm like, man, I know,
- 32:23Speaker 1: hy g like why he's not a racist? Dude, Hey,
- 32:25Speaker 1: I don't think he was. I don't think that was
- 32:27Speaker 1: a racist thing. I think that was an opportunist thing,
- 32:31Speaker 1: an opportunistic thing like that's that's that's what the people
- 32:36Speaker 1: in their communities they know, like, all right, we're gonna
- 32:38Speaker 1: rob shit, we we know that they keep cash, so
- 32:41Speaker 1: we're gonna go over there. He just said what everybody
- 32:44Speaker 1: in those communities think, you know what I'm saying, And
- 32:46Speaker 1: if anything, that should be game for us to be
- 32:49Speaker 1: like a, we gotta switch our ship the fuck up,
- 32:51Speaker 1: because they understand what the fuck we're doing, you know
- 32:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And I mean, I don't think that
- 32:57Speaker 1: I don't really have I don't think that, you know,
- 33:00Speaker 1: them pulling I don't really have a take on them
- 33:04Speaker 1: pulling the song and keeping the song up. Right. What
- 33:07Speaker 1: I feel like is he just sheds some light on
- 33:10Speaker 1: what the fuck you know what I'm saying, on what
- 33:12Speaker 1: the fuck is reality? You know what I mean? But
- 33:15Speaker 1: he definitely was was he definitely like, you know, he
- 33:19Speaker 1: definitely was irresponsible in that matter. I don't think, you
- 33:23Speaker 1: know now that he knows certain shit. I don't think
- 33:25Speaker 1: he would say the same thing. I don't think so
- 33:27Speaker 1: I don't know him, right, right, But you know, I
- 33:30Speaker 1: don't think so, you feel me? But but yeah, right right?
- 33:35Speaker 1: But I don't think that taking down that song does anything.
- 33:37Speaker 1: What the fuck does that do? Yeah? That's my thing is, like,
- 33:40Speaker 1: what does that do except for make people be like, wait,
- 33:43Speaker 1: what's the song talking about? Let me go find it
- 33:45Speaker 1: because you're gonna be able to find it on you.
- 33:46Speaker 1: You can find it somewhere, right, Like, I think our
- 33:48Speaker 1: people are worried about the wrong shit. You worried about
- 33:52Speaker 1: a fucking song. But I would also venture to say
- 33:54Speaker 1: that whoever created that outrage might not have been and
- 33:58Speaker 1: it sounds like some real like caring a white girls
- 34:00Speaker 1: woke Twitter shit. No, but I heard Asian people talking
- 34:03Speaker 1: about it, you know what I'm saying. The Asian people
- 34:05Speaker 1: were outraged at it, you know what I'm saying. But
- 34:08Speaker 1: were they outraged like when it came out, No, because
- 34:11Speaker 1: they didn't know about it, you know. And the thing
- 34:13Speaker 1: is is the song was bigger than ever the first
- 34:16Speaker 1: few months it came out because that album was huge
- 34:19Speaker 1: for it. But here's the thing. They probably Asian people
- 34:22Speaker 1: probably knew about it, but we didn't say anything about it,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So now because of all
- 34:27Speaker 1: of this speaking up, Okay, we're talking about this, all right,
- 34:31Speaker 1: So we're talking about this and talking about this, talk
- 34:33Speaker 1: about shit that motherfuckers ain't talking about before. You know
- 34:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying, It wasn't an issue before you know
- 34:39Speaker 1: what I'm saying, but it's an issue now. But what
- 34:41Speaker 1: I'm sing, all I'm saying is our people needs to
- 34:43Speaker 1: worry about our shit. Like, let's worry about what the
- 34:47Speaker 1: fuck we're doing wrong here, you know what I'm saying.
- 34:49Speaker 1: If we if we know that our parents and our
- 34:52Speaker 1: grandparents don't y'all don't carry cash, we're gonna have to
- 34:55Speaker 1: kind of shift them to all. Listen, you, keeping cash
- 34:58Speaker 1: is gonna make this is gonna make people want to
- 35:00Speaker 1: come rob you and ship like that. You know what
- 35:02Speaker 1: I'm saying. So we're gonna have to shift. We're gonna
- 35:04Speaker 1: have to We're gonna have to talk to our elders,
- 35:06Speaker 1: and we're gonna have to do some changing, you know
- 35:08Speaker 1: what I mean. You know, so, I mean, that's what
- 35:11Speaker 1: it is. People are hurting out here. People, there's a
- 35:14Speaker 1: lot of people that ain't getting money out of here.
- 35:15Speaker 1: There's a lot of people that's that's that's that's that
- 35:18Speaker 1: lost their job. There's a lot in the world right now.
- 35:21Speaker 1: So yes, yes, crimes against like Asian attackes up. But
- 35:25Speaker 1: like I said before, crimes are everybody. Every every crime
- 35:29Speaker 1: is up, every crime is up. You feel me? So
- 35:32Speaker 1: knowing that my brothers and sisters. It's time for us
- 35:35Speaker 1: to mother fucking change a couple of things out here.
- 35:37Speaker 1: We can't be doing the same ship we was doing
- 35:39Speaker 1: two years ago because it's not the same place, you
- 35:43Speaker 1: feel me. And if we keep on doing the same
- 35:45Speaker 1: ship without no change, then we're gonna fuck around. We're
- 35:48Speaker 1: gonna catch a bad one, you know what I'm saying.
- 35:50Speaker 1: So that's all I feel. I feel like we more
- 35:53Speaker 1: of it more so the responsibility is on us to
- 35:56Speaker 1: to to to to shift a couple of our things,
- 36:00Speaker 1: the things that we weren't worried about before. Now we
- 36:03Speaker 1: should worry about a couple of things. You know what
- 36:04Speaker 1: I'm saying. Our people should be more you know, ready
- 36:08Speaker 1: for different things. You know what I'm saying, because I
- 36:11Speaker 1: think this world is changing. You know, I think you
- 36:13Speaker 1: know things and things are going a little you know,
- 36:16Speaker 1: what are the actionable things? You think? You know, Black, Mexican, white,
- 36:21Speaker 1: whoever's watching this that isn't a part of your community.
- 36:23Speaker 1: But you know, in the same way, like I remember
- 36:26Speaker 1: when you know, a year ago, I'd like hit up
- 36:29Speaker 1: Killer Mike and I was like, hey man, I want
- 36:32Speaker 1: to help. I just don't want to send my money
- 36:34Speaker 1: to some bullshit organization I don't want to and he
- 36:36Speaker 1: was like, yo, boom boom boom, these are the three
- 36:39Speaker 1: you know, this is what this thing? You know, like, like,
- 36:41Speaker 1: what are the actual things that if if somebody wants
- 36:43Speaker 1: to donate or somebody just wants to try to help
- 36:46Speaker 1: spread awareness or or even things that they might be
- 36:48Speaker 1: doing in their everyday life that they don't think about
- 36:51Speaker 1: that might be kind of adding to, you know, maybe
- 36:55Speaker 1: normalizing some of this shit. You know what I'm saying.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I think, like you said, you basically the best thing
- 37:01Speaker 1: we can do ourselves is just to check the bullshit
- 37:04Speaker 1: that that has been made normal that's been normalized, you
- 37:08Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, like certain bullshit and and before
- 37:12Speaker 1: you every information ain't good information, you know what I'm saying.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Motherfuckers is getting information from Instagram and Facebook and shit
- 37:20Speaker 1: like that, and they take that information and they run
- 37:23Speaker 1: with it. Oh my god, I saw this, this is true. Well,
- 37:25Speaker 1: oh my god. That's the worst. They see a meme
- 37:27Speaker 1: on Andy's like, but who said this, where's the That's
- 37:31Speaker 1: the worst part about our world right now is people
- 37:34Speaker 1: just see the meme of the headline and they assume
- 37:35Speaker 1: it's we're and they run there, run outside, Oh look
- 37:39Speaker 1: at this ship, and fuck that, and they'll they'll base
- 37:41Speaker 1: a whole fucking a whole they'll base their whole judgment
- 37:46Speaker 1: on on on a whole group of people, and all
- 37:49Speaker 1: types of shit off of one stupid that was something
- 37:52Speaker 1: that they didn't even fact check. You know what I'm saying,
- 37:54Speaker 1: you ain't even do no. I mean, I think that
- 37:56Speaker 1: that's really a lot of what happened with the I
- 37:59Speaker 1: mean the last time remanded with this Q A non shit.
- 38:02Speaker 1: That's a perfect extent. People will see some meme QA nine.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Oh man, that's you're gonna die down a rabbit hole
- 38:09Speaker 1: in that one. Q nine is I try to keep
- 38:12Speaker 1: it as short as possible. There was a reddit sub
- 38:15Speaker 1: reddit thread where some guy or somebody posed as somebody
- 38:22Speaker 1: who was a part of the government that had Now,
- 38:25Speaker 1: mind you, there's probably people watching this might be like, Hey,
- 38:27Speaker 1: you don't know that had Q level clearance, which is
- 38:32Speaker 1: like the highest level of intelligence clearance, and was posting
- 38:35Speaker 1: these anonymous tidbits about what was going on with the government,
- 38:40Speaker 1: saying that all of the Democrats had like were child molesters.
- 38:44Speaker 1: You ever heard of Pizzagate, So that was all through
- 38:47Speaker 1: q Anne. So q A nine made up this this
- 38:50Speaker 1: conspiracy theory that there was kids getting raped and at
- 38:55Speaker 1: this pizza place and that Trump is like the savior.
- 38:58Speaker 1: The reason why he became president was to un like
- 39:01Speaker 1: pull the mask off of all these like this pedophilia
- 39:04Speaker 1: ring going on in the government, and they literally think
- 39:08Speaker 1: that he's still the president. So there's people who think
- 39:11Speaker 1: that Trump is still the president behind the scenes and
- 39:15Speaker 1: that Biden. They're just showing everyone how Biden's gonna fail
- 39:18Speaker 1: miserably and then he's gonna come out and let everybody
- 39:21Speaker 1: like it. It's the most ridicabus, bro, the people who
- 39:25Speaker 1: storm the capitol, those are QA nine people, so like
- 39:28Speaker 1: they got like a bro, it's the most prediculous. Like
- 39:34Speaker 1: there's a doc they just put out a like a
- 39:35Speaker 1: six or seven episode mini series on HBO about it.
- 39:39Speaker 1: And Dude, if you see like the shit, people will
- 39:43Speaker 1: believe it's scary because you realize like nothing's too crazy,
- 39:49Speaker 1: nothing's out of bounds, where people will like literally give
- 39:52Speaker 1: up their entire livelihood, they'll lose their job because they
- 39:56Speaker 1: believe so much in this crazy shit, like insane shit, bro,
- 40:02Speaker 1: like it's crazy because you look, if you ever get time,
- 40:06Speaker 1: HBO just put out like a little six to seven
- 40:08Speaker 1: part docu series about it. But really, the insurgence that
- 40:11Speaker 1: happen at the Capitol, that's Q a non ship and
- 40:17Speaker 1: Trump like shout it out Q a few times, like yo,
- 40:19Speaker 1: shout yeah bro, it's some wild ship. Bro. Yeah, I think, like,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you know, we just gotta you know what I mean,
- 40:25Speaker 1: don't don't don't you know, don't just let somebody somebody's
- 40:31Speaker 1: point of view on some shit sway your ship, you
- 40:34Speaker 1: feel me? Take everything fa fact check, use your yo.
- 40:38Speaker 1: You got common sense, bro, you got common sense. Hopefully
- 40:41Speaker 1: you had some good guidance, you know what I'm saying.
- 40:44Speaker 1: You know what I mean, use your use your intuition.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Don't let motherfuckers like you know, poison your motherfucking head
- 40:51Speaker 1: to do some dumb shit. Because look, I'm gonna tell
- 40:53Speaker 1: you how crazy things are. Right, you could just look
- 40:56Speaker 1: at history. Look at history Hitler Hitler, Right, it took
- 41:02Speaker 1: eight years. It took like eight to ten years for
- 41:05Speaker 1: Hitler to fully make the people of Germany. And also, yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: people act like it happened like this. No, that shit
- 41:14Speaker 1: took propagandam brother what I'm saying. So, like, you know,
- 41:17Speaker 1: they use motherfucking they use the media, they use these cartoons.
- 41:21Speaker 1: They Now it's so much easier though, Oh it's so
- 41:23Speaker 1: much easier because anybody gets everyone's media, like your media, media,
- 41:26Speaker 1: everyone on the street where that ship. Yeah, you feel
- 41:30Speaker 1: me so now more than you gotta remember, Like like
- 41:33Speaker 1: like Hitler, they motherfucking they persuaded a whole continent, almost
- 41:42Speaker 1: a whole people, to to fucking to to to to
- 41:46Speaker 1: agree to eliminate a race, erase a whole group of people.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, that's children, that's men, that's women,
- 41:56Speaker 1: that's that's that's they didn't give a fuck. That was evil, bro.
- 42:01Speaker 1: And that was back then. That was back then. You
- 42:04Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Hiller would have had a heyday nowadays, right,
- 42:07Speaker 1: So this is what I'm saying, y'all, You know what
- 42:09Speaker 1: I mean. We have to understand and and Hitler did
- 42:11Speaker 1: it through propaganda. Hitler did it through the media. And
- 42:14Speaker 1: it didn't happen overnight. It happened eight years at first.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Imagine he would have just came out and be like, Oh,
- 42:19Speaker 1: we're gonna kill all the fucking they would they would have, kid,
- 42:22Speaker 1: they would have but he slowly normalized Boom, this is
- 42:27Speaker 1: we're suffering because of them, this boom. That's why I
- 42:30Speaker 1: was so because like, boom, all the wait to yo,
- 42:33Speaker 1: we're just gonna kill them all, bro. That's why I
- 42:35Speaker 1: was so Like. I would talk to people who would
- 42:38Speaker 1: be like, and I'm not a big Joe Biden fan.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I don't like I'm I'm I'm a liberal guy. But
- 42:43Speaker 1: I think Joe Biden is you know, yeah, he's Joe Biden.
- 42:47Speaker 1: We know who he is. But Donald Trump being the
- 42:51Speaker 1: president any longer to me was so dangerous because it
- 42:54Speaker 1: just further normalizes all of the ship he's already like.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Think about if you gotten a time machine and went
- 43:02Speaker 1: back to twenty fifteen, right as people were telling you
- 43:05Speaker 1: some of the shit that our president said, you'd be like, man,
- 43:07Speaker 1: that's that's bullshit. Or if even the fact this motherfucker
- 43:10Speaker 1: brought little pump out on stage at a presidential rally.
- 43:13Speaker 1: That was the Simpsons moment for me. But I was like,
- 43:18Speaker 1: we might be in a simulation. This motherfucker brought little
- 43:21Speaker 1: pump out at a presidential rally. But I think like
- 43:25Speaker 1: any more of like that shit. It just like like
- 43:29Speaker 1: I think racism has become so normalized and it's and
- 43:32Speaker 1: it's the division is at an all time high because
- 43:35Speaker 1: and you know, I hate to put it on one guy,
- 43:36Speaker 1: but man, a lot of it's on that dude, and
- 43:38Speaker 1: a lot of it's on media too, you know what
- 43:40Speaker 1: I'm saying. But I really think that like the Hitler thing,
- 43:43Speaker 1: you could kind of see like, oh yeah, it makes
- 43:47Speaker 1: sense how you could slowly radicalize people by already by
- 43:53Speaker 1: just reconfirming whatever stereotypes or hate they already had in
- 43:56Speaker 1: their heart for somebody, right Like, Yo, you're already scared
- 44:00Speaker 1: of of this, this and this. I'm gonna just double
- 44:02Speaker 1: down and play into that fear, whether it's about Mexicans
- 44:05Speaker 1: in the border or all of this ship like all
- 44:08Speaker 1: that's all he did. That's how he got elected. I
- 44:10Speaker 1: know all these old, like poor ass white people already
- 44:13Speaker 1: feel this kind of way. So I'm gonna make sure
- 44:14Speaker 1: they pull up for me, because I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 44:16Speaker 1: feed them what they want to hear. And that's why
- 44:19Speaker 1: I was And it's about like you said, people are
- 44:21Speaker 1: scared of ship and then you just keep one and
- 44:24Speaker 1: just keep just putting a little bit of gas over
- 44:26Speaker 1: here and there, little things. You know, You're like, yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 1: I think that's why it was like no matter who
- 44:31Speaker 1: the fuck was running against them, I was like, man, look,
- 44:33Speaker 1: it's irresponsible to even if you know, shout out to
- 44:37Speaker 1: Mitt Romney because I feel like Mitt Romney was like
- 44:39Speaker 1: the only motherfucker who was a Republican who never like
- 44:43Speaker 1: he was anti Trump the whole time. Sam John McCain
- 44:47Speaker 1: who died, you know what I mean. But like, yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I just thought it was a It was definitely an interest.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Like like you know, when it comes to Asian Americans politically,
- 44:55Speaker 1: usually where do they fall, at least based on your
- 44:59Speaker 1: You gotta understand Asian Asians are. How about Chinese Americans?
- 45:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna I was saying, more like towards Trump, more conservative,
- 45:09Speaker 1: more conservative, you know what I'm saying. Because they get money.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So like you know, any anybody with money, it doesn't
- 45:15Speaker 1: matter if you're Asian or or or I mean yeah
- 45:17Speaker 1: republic I mean look, less taxes, right, yeah, less regulation. Right.
- 45:22Speaker 1: So you know a lot of Chinese are you know, businessmen,
- 45:26Speaker 1: and there's there's more money in that every year, right,
- 45:29Speaker 1: so you know they're going to go towards that. So,
- 45:32Speaker 1: you know, but there's an Asian as you know, the
- 45:35Speaker 1: Asian like you know, there's it's a large, large spectrum,
- 45:38Speaker 1: that's right. What's next for you? Man? Like? What are
- 45:42Speaker 1: you working on on? You know? I got, I got,
- 45:46Speaker 1: I'm about to shoot a music video. I'm just I'm
- 45:49Speaker 1: doing my music. But I took my music off of
- 45:53Speaker 1: streaming platforms right now, you know what I'm saying. So
- 45:57Speaker 1: because I was not getting the return on my investment
- 46:05Speaker 1: on the music from the streams. I just wasn't getting
- 46:07Speaker 1: enough stream Yeah, for people who don't know, like a
- 46:09Speaker 1: million streams is like thirty eight hundred dollars on Spotify,
- 46:12Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And I would spend thirty
- 46:15Speaker 1: one hundred dollars is just to you know what I mean,
- 46:17Speaker 1: is just to make the song. Like you know what
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'm saying by the beach video, the video, you know
- 46:21Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So if I'm in a red and
- 46:24Speaker 1: I'm not and I'm not streaming a million, you know
- 46:27Speaker 1: what I'm saying, I'm not stret so I'm not getting
- 46:28Speaker 1: my bread. So it's just basically throwing my bread, you
- 46:32Speaker 1: know what I mean and I'm not getting it back,
- 46:34Speaker 1: and I'm thinking about other ways to make money. So
- 46:36Speaker 1: it's kind of just chasing the dream. That's like, you know,
- 46:39Speaker 1: so I did that shit for so long. I'm just like,
- 46:41Speaker 1: hold on, bro, you know what I'm saying. Hold On.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I was thinking about quitting, like you know what, fuck
- 46:48Speaker 1: this shit, you know what I mean. And my bro,
- 46:50Speaker 1: Shooter shoot nine three shout out the Shooter. He gets
- 46:54Speaker 1: on my live and he's like, yo, bro, you know,
- 46:56Speaker 1: just just just I had already took my music down
- 46:59Speaker 1: because I'm like, Yo, fuck this ship, man, I'm done
- 47:01Speaker 1: with this shit. Fuck it, you know what I'm saying.
- 47:03Speaker 1: So Shooter was like, Yo, just sell your music directly
- 47:06Speaker 1: to your people, you for me and then and then
- 47:09Speaker 1: get your bread. And then after once you get your bread,
- 47:12Speaker 1: then you can do what you want. You know what
- 47:13Speaker 1: I'm saying. The money is the issue, right, So like,
- 47:15Speaker 1: as long as you get in the bread, right, then
- 47:17Speaker 1: you can once you have, once you amassed enough money,
- 47:20Speaker 1: then you can do whatever you want. You could play
- 47:22Speaker 1: how if you want to play, you know what I'm saying.
- 47:23Speaker 1: So I was like, so he was like, yo, you
- 47:25Speaker 1: you did a good job in cultivating a firebase right
- 47:29Speaker 1: so now, and you got super like I got following that.
- 47:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying that they must have been heartbroken.
- 47:34Speaker 1: You took the music down, right, I was no, No,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I mean maybe like six songs that's it, right, Damn
- 47:43Speaker 1: mostly my collapse, you know what I'm saying. Most on YouTube,
- 47:47Speaker 1: I took all that shit down. Wow, I took all
- 47:50Speaker 1: of it. Dawn. Would you consider putting your back up?
- 47:54Speaker 1: Because if you got some hardcore fans, they gotta be
- 47:56Speaker 1: like man bro right, I mean, I mean, I mean
- 48:01Speaker 1: I might put it back up, but right now I'm
- 48:04Speaker 1: selling it, you know what I'm saying. So if if
- 48:06Speaker 1: you mind, if you're, if you're, if you're a supporter,
- 48:10Speaker 1: then then you won't buy it. And that's and it's
- 48:12Speaker 1: been working out. I made more money in fucking five
- 48:15Speaker 1: days than I made in the whole three years on music.
- 48:18Speaker 1: We know who's done a good job of that is
- 48:21Speaker 1: Rock Rock Marcies, right, shout out to rock Marci my
- 48:24Speaker 1: bro shooter. He does that. Tyler Qualle was doing that
- 48:26Speaker 1: for a while where you had to like go to
- 48:28Speaker 1: his website to get music. So at the end of
- 48:30Speaker 1: the day, I feel like, you know, as an artist,
- 48:33Speaker 1: We're gonna have to just you know, everybody, Everything ain't
- 48:35Speaker 1: for everybody, you know what I'm saying, Like, I have
- 48:37Speaker 1: to understand my market is different than say, you know,
- 48:41Speaker 1: if you've got a thousand people that will just pay
- 48:43Speaker 1: for what you do. Good, bro, I'm good. You know
- 48:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So get your merch popping right. Hey, look,
- 48:51Speaker 1: you could drop an album once a month and hit
- 48:53Speaker 1: a check right, And that's what I've been called the van.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You feel me just taking advantage of the base that
- 48:58Speaker 1: I want to see. So long I'm worrying about chasing
- 49:02Speaker 1: people versus really cultivating the people. Fuck with me, you
- 49:07Speaker 1: feel me so now now I've just been focused on that.
- 49:09Speaker 1: And then once I get my situation right, then if
- 49:13Speaker 1: I want to put streams and at least I have
- 49:16Speaker 1: the bread to go crazy because right now, us as
- 49:19Speaker 1: independent artists, you feel me. Unless we especially if we
- 49:23Speaker 1: do genres that's different than you know, what's what's trending
- 49:27Speaker 1: right now? You feel me so like you know, we
- 49:29Speaker 1: have to you know, if we kind of in a race,
- 49:33Speaker 1: like we kind of in the rat race, we gotta
- 49:35Speaker 1: come up with you know, we have to pay for
- 49:37Speaker 1: the studient, Like the artist is the last person to
- 49:39Speaker 1: get paid. You feel me, like, we gotta pay the
- 49:42Speaker 1: producer gets paid, the studio gets paid, the engineer gets paid,
- 49:46Speaker 1: graphics got the graphics got everybody gets paid. Then then
- 49:50Speaker 1: after you make the video and make all that, then
- 49:52Speaker 1: you gotta pay the motherfucking Spotify playlist. You gotta pay
- 49:56Speaker 1: these people that people blogs and all this shit. You
- 49:59Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, You want to do a reaction
- 50:01Speaker 1: video or you pay that, pay this, pay that, pay that.
- 50:03Speaker 1: So were you were you kind of in that in
- 50:05Speaker 1: that that that because you know, like you said, you
- 50:09Speaker 1: got to get to get some of these YouTubers to
- 50:11Speaker 1: do a reaction video. You got to cut a check.
- 50:13Speaker 1: You got like like a lot of this ship. It's
- 50:14Speaker 1: like everything is everyone's getting the bag right now exactly
- 50:18Speaker 1: except except the artists, except unless you're on tour or
- 50:22Speaker 1: you're fucking like shout out to Griselda, because Griselda, anybody
- 50:25Speaker 1: on their label like Conway, Benny Gun or drop a
- 50:28Speaker 1: sweater and make two hundred fifty grand off of it,
- 50:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like, but like in general,
- 50:33Speaker 1: they they what they did was they just focused on
- 50:36Speaker 1: who they who fucked with them already and then and
- 50:38Speaker 1: then they grew it from there. You feel me, and
- 50:40Speaker 1: they still make the same Like I hate when a
- 50:42Speaker 1: motherfucker didn't change. Oh, I'm like, and they've they've obviously
- 50:46Speaker 1: out elevated in some of the sounds that they but
- 50:48Speaker 1: they're still them right. A lot of times people will
- 50:51Speaker 1: make it and then they violate their day ones or
- 50:55Speaker 1: their core. I felt that, you know what I'm saying, Uh,
- 50:58Speaker 1: expectations of them. I did that, you feel me? And like,
- 51:02Speaker 1: because I'm like, you know, like you were chasing whatever
- 51:05Speaker 1: sound was hot type shit or kind of you know
- 51:07Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Like, I So what happened was I
- 51:10Speaker 1: fucking I came out with the boom bap that rap shit.
- 51:13Speaker 1: You feel me? And that's what they fucked me before
- 51:15Speaker 1: Benny and them was popped. I don't know what they
- 51:17Speaker 1: was doing at that time, but they wasn't their names
- 51:21Speaker 1: knew you for. It was fucking with me, you know
- 51:22Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And then I had the song with
- 51:24Speaker 1: Dave East Jada Kiss Young in May and then and
- 51:28Speaker 1: what happened was I did a song with Dave East
- 51:32Speaker 1: right before he popped. Before he popped before he signed
- 51:36Speaker 1: the deal or whatever. I did it right the week
- 51:38Speaker 1: before he did that, you know what I'm saying. And
- 51:41Speaker 1: then young in May, I did that before the Oohl
- 51:44Speaker 1: shit when she was going viral on some freestyle she did.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I reached out to them two and I got the songs,
- 51:52Speaker 1: and then me and Dave East I dropped the video.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Two days before I was scheduled to drop the video,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I got arrested and I did. They sent me back
- 52:04Speaker 1: off for eighteen months upstate, right, So I dropped the ball,
- 52:09Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Because now now I go
- 52:12Speaker 1: up state, Davey he becomes yeah, he becomes big at
- 52:17Speaker 1: that time, you know what I'm saying. And then while
- 52:19Speaker 1: I go upstate, I'm I'm I'm in I'm in fucking
- 52:22Speaker 1: Upstate Box twenty three and one, and I'm hearing people
- 52:26Speaker 1: ooh ooh, and I'm like, what the fuck is that
- 52:29Speaker 1: They're like, yo, young man. I'm just like, damn, damn.
- 52:34Speaker 1: And you know what I'm saying, you know. And I
- 52:36Speaker 1: came home and instead of just like keep on continuing
- 52:39Speaker 1: with that boom babshit, I'm trying to do different shit.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to like do this sound and that sound
- 52:44Speaker 1: and try different shit, and I kind of confused my
- 52:46Speaker 1: bass you feel Me to the point where it was like, damn,
- 52:49Speaker 1: what the fuck you doing? And I kind of like,
- 52:51Speaker 1: that's so I fell to like, you know, I did
- 52:54Speaker 1: what you just said, you feel Me. And what they did,
- 52:57Speaker 1: Benny and them, they stuck to they sound you feel Me,
- 53:00Speaker 1: and they just kept on growing from it. They kept
- 53:02Speaker 1: on going from it. And that's you know, So now
- 53:06Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do is do that. You know,
- 53:07Speaker 1: I'm saying, just stick to my what my people love
- 53:10Speaker 1: me for, and I'm gonna just keep on doing that.
- 53:12Speaker 1: And then also, like you know, I got some TV
- 53:15Speaker 1: shows on the line. I was gonna say, like, you
- 53:17Speaker 1: could do a podcast. I think it'd be dope. I
- 53:19Speaker 1: think some of the YouTube videos you've done have been great.
- 53:21Speaker 1: I love that conversation between you and Jen. That was fire.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Like I think like you're also known now as like
- 53:27Speaker 1: more than a rapper, right, you know from the lad interviews,
- 53:30Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like, I think you could
- 53:32Speaker 1: definitely do a I mean, yeah, I got a bunch
- 53:34Speaker 1: of shit online. I can't I mean on the on
- 53:37Speaker 1: the plate coming that I can't really talk about right now.
- 53:40Speaker 1: But definitely like game changing type of shit, different type
- 53:44Speaker 1: of shit, you feel me. And I'm just constantly just
- 53:48Speaker 1: just pushing and working and trying to figure out different things,
- 53:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So you know, definitely, you know,
- 53:54Speaker 1: definitely I got my website, chinamac online dot com, merch
- 53:59Speaker 1: my music, you know, different type of shit, you know
- 54:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Hey, last thing you just mentioned being
- 54:04Speaker 1: in a box twenty three hours a day, one hour
- 54:06Speaker 1: out for people who don't realize it's solitary, that's gotta
- 54:11Speaker 1: be What is that like, man? And how hard is
- 54:15Speaker 1: it to stay sane in a situation like that? Should
- 54:19Speaker 1: have drive you crazy? You feel me? If you just
- 54:23Speaker 1: some people just you know, some people can't be by themselves.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Some people can't do that shit, you know what I mean,
- 54:31Speaker 1: should drive them crazy, you know what I'm saying. But
- 54:34Speaker 1: when I was in there, I just like, you know,
- 54:38Speaker 1: that shit was crazy, bro, Like you were here. This
- 54:41Speaker 1: is madness, a madhouse, people fishing, throwing, you know, people
- 54:47Speaker 1: just was wild. And you don't leave that cell. And
- 54:51Speaker 1: with the box I was in, you don't come outside.
- 54:54Speaker 1: You like, like this is the cell. They build another
- 54:57Speaker 1: unit right here, right there's like a little door, right,
- 55:01Speaker 1: and you walk out of your cell and there's another
- 55:03Speaker 1: little box like this with a gate with fresh air.
- 55:07Speaker 1: So you walk from out your cell to that little
- 55:10Speaker 1: fucking patio type shit, right, and all you get is
- 55:14Speaker 1: just that ear like like just and that's it, you
- 55:16Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So it's twenty three hours of that.
- 55:21Speaker 1: So is that hour include like you showering and all
- 55:24Speaker 1: that type of shit or is that well the jail
- 55:27Speaker 1: I would yeah, yeah, So the spot the showers don't
- 55:30Speaker 1: turn on all the time. They turn it on when
- 55:33Speaker 1: when it's time for wreck. And when you're in solitary,
- 55:36Speaker 1: are you alone or do you have a SELLI? Well
- 55:38Speaker 1: it depends some some spots is your alone? Some spots
- 55:42Speaker 1: you have a SELLI? So what would you do like
- 55:44Speaker 1: to just get through it? Was it reading? Is it
- 55:48Speaker 1: sleeping a lot? Like we you know what I'm saying,
- 55:50Speaker 1: Like I was, I read, I read a lot. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: was like, you know, push up, you know, ship whatever
- 55:57Speaker 1: I could do, you know what I'm saying. You know,
- 55:59Speaker 1: talking to my bunkie playing chess, you know what I mean.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I fought a bunch of bunkies. You know what I'm saying, like,
- 56:06Speaker 1: you know, just and I did. I did. I did
- 56:11Speaker 1: sixteen months on I did sixteen months of that shit.
- 56:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Fuck on ryk as alum
- 56:19Speaker 1: before you feel me. But that was single, you know
- 56:22Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So you were by yourself for sixteen
- 56:24Speaker 1: months every day, right, twenty three hours a day. Well,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I did, I did. So what happened was they gave me.
- 56:30Speaker 1: They gave me twenty months of that, right, and then
- 56:34Speaker 1: like on my like ninth month, I went upstate, you
- 56:37Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. And then I went back down
- 56:40Speaker 1: and then I did more months like so I had
- 56:43Speaker 1: a break, but I did like nine ten months raight
- 56:45Speaker 1: of that shit. You know what I'm saying, by myself.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Would you just trying to sleep as much as you
- 56:48Speaker 1: could do today? You make you make a fucking like
- 56:52Speaker 1: a schedule, you know what I'm saying. So you can't
- 56:54Speaker 1: sleep the whole fucking day, you know what I'm saying.
- 56:56Speaker 1: But you know, you get up, you know, you do
- 56:58Speaker 1: your push ups, you eat your breakfast, you feel me,
- 57:02Speaker 1: you read your book, you know what I mean. You
- 57:04Speaker 1: talk shit on the gate and then you just try
- 57:07Speaker 1: to keep a regiment you know what I'm saying, keep
- 57:09Speaker 1: a regiment, keep a fucking like, you know what I mean.
- 57:12Speaker 1: And then you I try to read as much as
- 57:14Speaker 1: I can, I try to write as much as I can.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I just use my time to you know, a lot
- 57:19Speaker 1: of people don't through. A lot of people just be
- 57:20Speaker 1: there beating a dick. You know what I'm saying, doing
- 57:23Speaker 1: dumb shit, talking wow shit on the gate, you know
- 57:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying, And come out box monsters. You feel
- 57:29Speaker 1: me like, you know, crazy motherfucker. I can imagine like
- 57:32Speaker 1: that could go one of two ways. You could either
- 57:34Speaker 1: come out of that like a lot stronger, you gotta
- 57:36Speaker 1: be strong. Or you could come out of there crazy
- 57:39Speaker 1: kind of crazy, kind of crazy full crazy. That shit,
- 57:44Speaker 1: that shit crazy, because you meet those people who got
- 57:48Speaker 1: out of prison and they're just like, it didn't help, it,
- 57:53Speaker 1: got shipped. Whatever was there got way worse, right, motherfucker
- 57:57Speaker 1: was he walked in, He walked in, crazy, came mount
- 58:00Speaker 1: fucking psycho. Man. Well, look, I know you gotta get
