- 0:58Speaker 3: Doctor Stephen at the Ridge here us as he is
- 1:01Speaker 3: every single Wednesday. Doc, how are we doing this week?
- 1:03Speaker 5: Doing really well?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Are we prepared for Thanksgiving tomorrow? Are we ready to go? Absolutely?
- 1:08Speaker 5: Absolutely? I've got a solo Thanksgiving. I'm actually excited about though,
- 1:12Speaker 5: really solo.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 5: The family's on their way to Texas right now. Hope
- 1:16Speaker 5: they're driving safe.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Okay, very good.
- 1:18Speaker 5: I'll beat with the neighbors. But I'm kind of excited
- 1:20Speaker 5: to watch football.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Just watch a little bit by yourself.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Sit there, watch a little ball.
- 1:24Speaker 5: It's been a few months since I've had a day
- 1:26Speaker 5: off night.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So what part of Texas they had it to.
- 1:28Speaker 5: They're just going to Waco. So she grew up outside
- 1:30Speaker 5: of Waco and Clifton, so they're on the road, maybe
- 1:33Speaker 5: even listening, so shout out.
- 1:34Speaker 2: The center of Texas.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I was like, I mean, that's kind of what it's like,
- 1:41Speaker 2: the biggest it the center of Texas.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Austin's Austin's kind of the center, right, all right, Taylor
- 1:50Speaker 3: pull up a map of Texas for us.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I like studying. They're like, yeah, well, Waco is the closest,
- 1:55Speaker 2: bigger city to the middle of Texas.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I didn't say it my teacher did.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I mean, what you're supposed to be a texton. This
- 2:04Speaker 3: feels kind of weird because.
- 2:06Speaker 2: What the secments about?
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, it wasn't, but now it kind of.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yeah, is what do you do for brain injuries? Doc?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Oh? Lord, who's he asking for you?
- 2:21Speaker 2: So you're able to kind of by yourself, so you
- 2:23Speaker 2: get to watch a lot of football. So are you
- 2:26Speaker 2: gonna do it like any of the traditional stuff?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Are you gonna?
- 2:29Speaker 5: Well, we have some neighbors that I'll probably go grab
- 2:31Speaker 5: some stuff with, hang some lights.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Perfect, So definitely Austin's west of Waco abline is kind
- 2:42Speaker 3: of more than any other par.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Maybe they meant from north south maybe yeah, north south ish?
- 2:48Speaker 3: Are you just like in the middle, like not east
- 2:51Speaker 3: west situation?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yeah? Maybe the middle of like where people are.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Because there's no, people from Waco to Lobbick.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You're saying, I mean past.
- 3:01Speaker 4: You know what, I didn't realize Lubbock was that north.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like the Panhandle.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Was like down in this area.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I thought it was just like straight where I'll pass
- 3:12Speaker 3: is where it's at, but just straight down and even
- 3:14Speaker 3: with like.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Where this t is on the map. All right, I
- 3:18Speaker 2: guess there we go. There you go wake definitely dead center. Nope,
- 3:23Speaker 2: it's not not at all. I think it meant that.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Maybe it meant the middle from top to bottom. Nobody,
- 3:33Speaker 2: nobody really so yeah, I like how the Alamo is
- 3:38Speaker 2: just on there too. Whatever, Well, it's all the major remember,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you know, never forget it.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You can't forget it.
- 3:45Speaker 2: They still have a Yeah, can we go.
- 3:47Speaker 3: To that b yu b Colorado last year in the
- 3:54Speaker 3: Valero Yeah, yeah, show you don't say that boll game.
- 4:03Speaker 3: I don't think they have an sec TI thing. It's
- 4:04Speaker 3: a big twelve situation.
- 4:06Speaker 5: It's big twelve pac twelve. But now I don't know
- 4:09Speaker 5: what that even means.
- 4:10Speaker 3: They're getting that large buddy, we're going to the Texas Bowl.
- 4:15Speaker 2: We're gonna make every year.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You can go ahead and book your travel. It's gonna
- 4:20Speaker 3: be a Texas Ball. If L Shoe's got a record
- 4:23Speaker 3: like we do, you're going to the Texas We at.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Least go to like the music city, except that that's
- 4:29Speaker 5: kind of my vote.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Going to because the Shoes tied to Houston. You know
- 4:37Speaker 3: you're gonna get more fans if you go to the Bowl.
- 4:40Speaker 3: It's it's actually.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Smart to Texas Ball last year.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Oh that's right, that's right because grandfather played for Baylor.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Dad played for L s U. Yeah, you're going for.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Law Shoe or bail Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, but we.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Got I gotta get the breakdown. Definitely, you're going for
- 4:57Speaker 3: allow Shoe. Okay, what is your grandfather? Mister al and
- 5:00Speaker 3: think about that.
- 5:01Speaker 6: A he he definitely went for They.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Were talking a lot of trash play quarterback there he
- 5:10Speaker 2: should go.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Okay, all right, but you were going for LSU.
- 5:13Speaker 4: I was definitely going all right, well yeah, nice couch?
- 5:16Speaker 3: Uh? Anything different this week being a kind of a
- 5:19Speaker 3: it's not a short week, but it's a it's a
- 5:21Speaker 3: different week, kind of a weird week. Practice may be
- 5:24Speaker 3: scheduled a little bit different, Like do you worry about
- 5:28Speaker 3: anything like getting out of your norm?
- 5:31Speaker 5: Yeah, different week? You know, I think y'all referenced earlier,
- 5:33Speaker 5: are gonna practice early tomorrow. They're gonna let the guys
- 5:36Speaker 5: have that you do something for Thanksgiving. But I think
- 5:38Speaker 5: from a standpoint of what we do on the medical side,
- 5:41Speaker 5: it's it's it's it's basically the same, you know, it's
- 5:43Speaker 5: it's by the time you get a Thursday, it's it's
- 5:45Speaker 5: getting to be easier practices anyway.
- 5:47Speaker 2: So so we heard, uh, we're not we don't need
- 5:52Speaker 2: to get any specifics, but like there's a laundry list
- 5:55Speaker 2: of you know, injury lists at this point of the year.
- 5:57Speaker 2: But just like it's that.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Time was getting his workout.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Definitely get to work up kill jogging out there last week. Okay,
- 6:03Speaker 2: Saturday was rough, but it's kind of it's it's one
- 6:06Speaker 2: of those things that's the kind of the year. I mean,
- 6:07Speaker 2: that's always this time of the year, the end of
- 6:09Speaker 2: the season, of the regular season, that list is always
- 6:12Speaker 2: going to be pretty long. Is that pretty normal for
- 6:14Speaker 2: it to be, you know, a decent amount or is
- 6:16Speaker 2: this a little bit of abnormal situation?
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah, this time of the year, it is normal. You're
- 6:20Speaker 5: trying to use as much duct tape and everything else.
- 6:23Speaker 5: We can to hold the guys together. Saturday was a
- 6:25Speaker 5: little more than we'd like to see. You know, we
- 6:27Speaker 5: were you know, out there quite a bit. Fortunately, nothing
- 6:29Speaker 5: too too crazy, but it was it was definitely a
- 6:32Speaker 5: busy night.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. Yeah, man, it is one of those nails.
- 6:38Speaker 3: On the broadcasts. We were like, okay, going back to
- 6:40Speaker 3: the old injury tent, going back to the injury tent,
- 6:43Speaker 3: and look, if you can't say anything on this, like obviously,
- 6:47Speaker 3: but when like when you decide to go into the
- 6:50Speaker 3: injury tent, like, I guess, what's the protocol? Like, is
- 6:53Speaker 3: it depending on what the body part is? Is it
- 6:55Speaker 3: depending on what's going on? Kind of because it's not
- 6:57Speaker 3: a big space, but you got to be in there,
- 6:59Speaker 3: you got to do examination.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Yeah, so it's a little bit of all the above.
- 7:03Speaker 5: So what's the injury. You know, we have guys down there,
- 7:05Speaker 5: they're a little bit more specialized within a shoulder versus
- 7:07Speaker 5: a knee versus other things. So then also what's the
- 7:11Speaker 5: position or the offense defense? So which trainer is gonna
- 7:14Speaker 5: go in at least you know, usually they kind of
- 7:15Speaker 5: break it up, so there's some different different ways we
- 7:18Speaker 5: kind of break that down. And then yeah, you just
- 7:20Speaker 5: kind of figure out what you need and whatever we
- 7:22Speaker 5: can do in there. Unlike I know we had talked
- 7:23Speaker 5: about earlier in the year, the NFL has pretty strict
- 7:25Speaker 5: rules of who can't go Yeah. Yeah, there's none of
- 7:28Speaker 5: that can go out. Yeah, but I mean to be fair,
- 7:31Speaker 5: I don't ever remember a time that we've had anybody
- 7:32Speaker 5: come and, you know, from a coaching side and give
- 7:35Speaker 5: us any anything.
- 7:36Speaker 2: You never got day Baled, We never did.
- 7:38Speaker 3: That's far. I know we're trying to get like go
- 7:40Speaker 3: down to Gordio. Hey, Gordya, like get up in that
- 7:42Speaker 3: tent like that. What's going on in there? Okay, so
- 7:47Speaker 3: you're gonna miss big playoff game you have Madison prep. Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 3: a big game because I'm gonna stay back for us.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna stay back.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Somebody needs to. I can't imagine why, but you know.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Uh, dog, I heard somebody talking about this other day.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Not necessarily from a sports injury. I was just curious
- 8:03Speaker 2: because I've had some like some shoulder issues recently. Not
- 8:07Speaker 2: Christmas tree related either, like my back, it's just you know,
- 8:09Speaker 2: life related. Doing too many push ups, I guess, listen
- 8:14Speaker 2: too much weight. What's a Jesus what's a frozen shoulder?
- 8:19Speaker 2: So that is a great question, thank you.
- 8:22Speaker 3: That is my mother in law has had a frozen
- 8:26Speaker 3: shoulder as long as I can remember.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Yeah, So the fancy name for frozen shoulder is adhesive capsulitis.
- 8:32Speaker 3: So that's adhesive capsule itis.
- 8:36Speaker 5: So so the shoulder, like any joint, has a capsule
- 8:39Speaker 5: that's wrapped around it. So what happens for whatever reason,
- 8:42Speaker 5: sometimes it's after an injury. Sometimes we just see this
- 8:45Speaker 5: one of those kind of just because things though, but
- 8:47Speaker 5: you'll develop almost some scarring on that capsule and it
- 8:50Speaker 5: will literally lock the capsule down. And so what you'll
- 8:52Speaker 5: see is these people come in with the shoulders that
- 8:53Speaker 5: literally can't move limited and even like I'll grab your
- 8:56Speaker 5: shoulder and that's you know, and I'm talking about doing
- 8:58Speaker 5: my exam, you know, the first question is can you
- 9:01Speaker 5: move the shoulder? So can you raise it up? Can
- 9:02Speaker 5: you go through a normal range of motion? And then
- 9:04Speaker 5: if you can't, can't I Sometimes you're get stuck here
- 9:07Speaker 5: and then I lift it and it comes right up.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Other times I'm moving and that's that's that's usually when
- 9:12Speaker 5: you have a frozen shoulder.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, when you say capsule, you just something like the
- 9:15Speaker 2: socket that the the arm bone is in.
- 9:18Speaker 5: Like what basically, so the capsule is almost like a
- 9:21Speaker 5: water balloon that wraps around it and it kind of
- 9:24Speaker 5: everything that's inside the joint. So you talk about like
- 9:26Speaker 5: when you have a swollen knee, well, why where is
- 9:28Speaker 5: that swelling. It's inside that capsule. So that's why it
- 9:30Speaker 5: kind of looks and feels like a water balloon. And
- 9:31Speaker 5: that's the kind of the way I describe it a
- 9:32Speaker 5: lot of times is you think about a water balloon
- 9:34Speaker 5: wrapped around all the joints, have it even your fingers, everything,
- 9:37Speaker 5: and so in the shoulder for whatever reason, it's one
- 9:39Speaker 5: that's very prone to getting locked up.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And now is that water balloon stuffing that can like
- 9:45Speaker 2: I don't know, be burst or like the be it.
- 9:50Speaker 5: You can you can damage it. So for example, if
- 9:53Speaker 5: you had an acl injury and a knee. The ones
- 9:56Speaker 5: that sometimes have more stability problems are if they have
- 9:59Speaker 5: other injuries like but also the capsule, because the capsule
- 10:01Speaker 5: does add some stability, so you can tear the capsule.
- 10:03Speaker 5: It doesn't really pop per se, and can get this
- 10:06Speaker 5: raw some circumstances, but typically you know it can be torn.
- 10:10Speaker 5: You can't injure the capsule.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Now I heard this.
- 10:11Speaker 2: They told me about like the treatment for it, like
- 10:14Speaker 2: there's not a lot of treatment for it. And now
- 10:16Speaker 2: I didn't believe this part of it, but somebody said
- 10:18Speaker 2: that sometimes they'll even put somebody under anesthesia and just
- 10:22Speaker 2: like yank the hell out of their shoulders.
- 10:24Speaker 5: That is definitely true. So with the frozen shoulder.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yet it is the skull for learning that.
- 10:29Speaker 5: You literally will take them into the o R, you
- 10:31Speaker 5: put them to sleep and you just grab the shoulder
- 10:33Speaker 5: and you'll hear those addeachments popping. So you'll just force
- 10:36Speaker 5: that shoulder and it said pop pop, and it's it's
- 10:39Speaker 5: one of the more kind of grewsome things we will
- 10:40Speaker 5: sometimes do.
- 10:42Speaker 3: That I don't like any of that.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I could do that, call me in next time.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, all right, so fun. We got to talk
- 10:49Speaker 3: about our guy, Sir Joseph Burrow, after a turf toe
- 10:53Speaker 3: injury has sidelined him, I believe for the last nine games.
- 10:57Speaker 3: And we talked about it when it happened. Not all
- 10:59Speaker 3: turf toe is created the same. This one required surgery,
- 11:03Speaker 3: which obviously is gonna be different than you know, if
- 11:05Speaker 3: you just have a mile case of it, any calls
- 11:09Speaker 3: for concern because there's a lot of people saying, like,
- 11:11Speaker 3: why would Joe Burrow come back they've won three games. Well,
- 11:14Speaker 3: you've never talked to Joe if you asked that question, right,
- 11:17Speaker 3: But like, if you're healthy, like and this is an
- 11:19Speaker 3: injury that had surgery on it, you would feel like
- 11:21Speaker 3: he would be pretty safe to come back, right.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you know, it's it's there's always a little risk.
- 11:26Speaker 5: I mean, let's just be honest. The first time you
- 11:28Speaker 5: step on the field after an injury, you know, you
- 11:30Speaker 5: tore ligament, you you had whatever, We're always a little
- 11:32Speaker 5: bit worried, especially if it's in the same season. So
- 11:35Speaker 5: when is the right time? You know, And you're gonna
- 11:37Speaker 5: do as much you can to protect that. They're gonna
- 11:39Speaker 5: put some extra plating in the shoe that's gonna help
- 11:40Speaker 5: prevent motion of the toe. They're gonna do a lot
- 11:42Speaker 5: of splinting, taping, hato. They're they're they're not fun, but
- 11:46Speaker 5: they work and and and that's because what we're what
- 11:49Speaker 5: we're talking about is you put a little composite steel
- 11:51Speaker 5: plate down the bottom of the shoe, and that makes
- 11:53Speaker 5: the shoe bend less and so if shoes bending less,
- 11:55Speaker 5: the toe is bending less, it's less stress on that joint.
- 11:58Speaker 5: So they're gonna do all that, you know, Uh, the
- 12:00Speaker 5: risk is going to be pretty small. It's probably a
- 12:02Speaker 5: little bit less than what it would be had he
- 12:04Speaker 5: not just had it repaired. But I think they're going
- 12:06Speaker 5: to look at it. And to your point, you know,
- 12:08Speaker 5: with with with Joe, Yeah, he's gonna be out there.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I remember in the National Championship game, the last last
- 12:14Speaker 5: touchdown in the first half, and remember got hit really hard.
- 12:16Speaker 5: The sims New hit him, and uh, we were afraid
- 12:19Speaker 5: he might have broke a rib. And we couldn't find
- 12:20Speaker 5: him because we're like, we just got check him out
- 12:22Speaker 5: and the trains, you gotta check him out. He had
- 12:23Speaker 5: snuck out the field because I think he was afraid
- 12:25Speaker 5: that we might pull him, which we're not going to
- 12:27Speaker 5: do that there, you know. But I think literally we
- 12:29Speaker 5: couldn't find him. He we go out there and he's
- 12:30Speaker 5: throwing balls in the field by himself, like because he's
- 12:32Speaker 5: snuck away because he didn't want us to take a
- 12:34Speaker 5: look at.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Him ducking the docks. I like it. I mean, yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 2: some people are just built different, right, and some people
- 12:43Speaker 2: just and that kind of like bridges me to my
- 12:46Speaker 2: next question on it. For you, it's like this day
- 12:49Speaker 2: and age in college football where there's payment, people are
- 12:52Speaker 2: making money, people have are thinking like really big picture.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You know, people with a lot to lose will sit
- 12:58Speaker 2: out bowl games and different things, like in a season
- 13:01Speaker 2: where things aren't going the exact way you want and
- 13:06Speaker 2: players are dealing with injuries rather they're big injuries, small injuries, whatever.
- 13:11Speaker 2: It is. How much of the decision to play or
- 13:15Speaker 2: not to play because of injury at a time like
- 13:20Speaker 2: this is individually based and based on the person. Is
- 13:24Speaker 2: it the coach that makes the final decision or is
- 13:27Speaker 2: it the player that is able to make that decision.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Well, it has changed, for sure, you know, because there's
- 13:33Speaker 5: so many more variables than there were even a few
- 13:35Speaker 5: years ago. But at the end of the day, I
- 13:37Speaker 5: think the way we approach the process really hasn't changed
- 13:41Speaker 5: that much. So it starts with the player. I mean,
- 13:45Speaker 5: that's where it all starts. We talk to the player
- 13:46Speaker 5: because if you tell me you don't think you can go,
- 13:48Speaker 5: you're putting yourself and everybody else at risk going out there.
- 13:51Speaker 5: So even if it's something where maybe medically we're thinking, hey,
- 13:53Speaker 5: this guy looks pretty good, his knees looking better, his
- 13:55Speaker 5: whatever is looking better. So it starts with discussion with
- 13:58Speaker 5: the player, and then yes, medically, obviously we're we're brought
- 14:01Speaker 5: into the discussion like, this is what the injury is,
- 14:03Speaker 5: Can you play with this? Is it safe to play
- 14:05Speaker 5: with this? What would be the worst case scenario? And
- 14:07Speaker 5: it does sometimes change based in the year. You know,
- 14:09Speaker 5: if somebody has a shoulder that's a little bit unstable,
- 14:11Speaker 5: sometimes they'll play the rest of the year and fix
- 14:13Speaker 5: it at the end of the year. And if it's
- 14:14Speaker 5: a year when we're hey, we're looking like we're gonna
- 14:16Speaker 5: make a playoff run or all that, is there any
- 14:18Speaker 5: risk to do in that? Of course, just like talking
- 14:20Speaker 5: about with Joe, there's always a little risk, but that's
- 14:22Speaker 5: weighed differently in a year where yeah, maybe we're out
- 14:24Speaker 5: of the playoffs and you're saying, well, gosh, the best
- 14:26Speaker 5: thing medically might be to just fix this shoulder now
- 14:28Speaker 5: or there very least rest you. So it's a lot
- 14:30Speaker 5: of those discussions, and we involve the players. Now, it
- 14:33Speaker 5: involves the agents. You know, historically would be the player,
- 14:36Speaker 5: the parent, you know, we would say, hey, look, do
- 14:37Speaker 5: you want to get your mom or dad on the
- 14:38Speaker 5: phone or have them come in along with the trainers.
- 14:41Speaker 5: And a lot of times the coaches are involved, but
- 14:42Speaker 5: probably they're the last yeah piece in that equation most
- 14:46Speaker 5: of the times. You know, we try to make all
- 14:47Speaker 5: the medical decisions independent, but obviously their input. This is
- 14:50Speaker 5: what we want you to do the rest of the
- 14:51Speaker 5: year is going to be important.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Has there ever been like a situation where you're like, man,
- 14:55Speaker 2: I just don't think you should go and the players like, no,
- 14:57Speaker 2: I'm going doc, And it's like from Happy Gilmore Sam,
- 15:00Speaker 2: You're like, what do I know, I'm just a doctor.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Probably every year we have some of those, And and
- 15:05Speaker 5: then there's different lines. You know, if somebody is a
- 15:07Speaker 5: concussion head injury, they are out. We are not putting
- 15:09Speaker 5: them back in, even if you say that. But there
- 15:11Speaker 5: are other ones where I'm like, well, look, there are
- 15:12Speaker 5: risk if that's the way you approach it.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Like maybe a small tier in your labor m or something,
- 15:17Speaker 3: you know, meniscus maybe or something.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Yeah, And it's it's it's it's you got to decide.
- 15:21Speaker 5: And and and even with some of our players that
- 15:22Speaker 5: are not you know, collegiate athletes. You know, if it's
- 15:24Speaker 5: a high school player, it's different if you're a sophomore
- 15:26Speaker 5: versus a senior. If I'm a senior and I'm not
- 15:28Speaker 5: going to college, I've got this. If I'm playing tomorrow
- 15:30Speaker 5: night with with you high a chance to play in
- 15:32Speaker 5: the playoffs and this is my last go. It's a
- 15:35Speaker 5: lot different than a guy who's a D one blue
- 15:38Speaker 5: shit prospect too. If you go out there and mess
- 15:40Speaker 5: up your injury, your career might be ended. So so
- 15:43Speaker 5: even at the lower levels, it's it's always discussion and
- 15:46Speaker 5: there's different levels of injuries that that we have to
- 15:48Speaker 5: talk about.
- 15:49Speaker 3: All right, last one before we let you go. If
- 15:52Speaker 3: you don't know, Doc loves LSU through and through, but
- 15:56Speaker 3: he also loves Florida State fs U. That's where he played.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Go knowles.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Jo Mills with Mike Norvel congrant next year. Congratulations A right.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Mike Novel coming back.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Yeah that's been a uh. I have some group texts
- 16:10Speaker 5: that have been on fire. Not always a good fire,
- 16:15Speaker 5: but yeah, it's been. It's been an interesting talking point.
- 16:19Speaker 3: There, Okay, But I mean, look, they built a new
- 16:21Speaker 3: football facility, updated the stadium, so that buyout money. I
- 16:25Speaker 3: think got to put back into the program.
- 16:27Speaker 5: It's a big it's a big money. It's a big number,
- 16:29Speaker 5: and you know they just extended them and a lot
- 16:31Speaker 5: of things. It's it may not be a decision people liked,
- 16:33Speaker 5: but it was a business decision. I reckon, Yeah, it
- 16:36Speaker 5: was a decision.
- 16:37Speaker 2: It was a choice. Maybe they can get out of
- 16:39Speaker 2: the buyout. Hey, people are trying it.
- 16:42Speaker 5: You hear things, all right.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Doc, we appreciate it. Enjoy a low key Thanksgiving question

- 19:33Speaker 3: Hucks said, you know what, Dad, that seat over there
- 19:36Speaker 3: came about that life. I'm a guy that needs to
- 19:39Speaker 3: be on this side of what they want.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're on this side of the camera. That'd
- 19:45Speaker 2: be a good opportunity to hear from the younger generation
- 19:50Speaker 2: of Tiger fans. Football fans. I got Huck is all
- 19:54Speaker 2: about all over the NFL, all over college football. So
- 19:58Speaker 2: I want to get some predictions from you get some.
- 20:02Speaker 2: We're gonna call them not hot takes. We're gonna call
- 20:04Speaker 2: them hook takes. All right, ready, that was good? All right?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Who is going to win the Super Bowl this year?
- 20:15Speaker 8: Super Bowl?
- 20:16Speaker 3: The okay, all right, Danny Die all right?
- 20:21Speaker 2: Out of the a f C. Well, who are they
- 20:22Speaker 2: going to play out of the NFC?
- 20:27Speaker 3: Don't say the Packers. Don't say the Packers.
- 20:30Speaker 2: So whoever you want, it's a good matchup. To give
- 20:37Speaker 2: a good matchup, that's a that's very likely to happen. Actually,
- 20:41Speaker 2: as the Rams, of course playing incredibly by far, I
- 20:44Speaker 2: think maybe maybe not by far, but probably the number
- 20:47Speaker 2: one on the power rankings list, Yeah, I would say so.
- 20:50Speaker 2: All right, Okay, who is Huck Finn's favorite NFL football player?
- 21:00Speaker 8: That's hard, all.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Right, give me well, I mean we know number one,
- 21:05Speaker 4: Derek I went to the same school as you.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 8: I also like Justin Jefferson, Mason.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Taylor, Okay, yeah, all right, yep, big Saquon guy as well. Yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 2: big Saquon Barkley guy.
- 21:23Speaker 4: He's not giving me enough points on my fantasy team though.
- 21:27Speaker 8: Well, well, I also like Jonathan Taylor.
- 21:32Speaker 2: That should be the NB absolutely all right, yeah, okay,
- 21:35Speaker 2: national championship in college.
- 21:36Speaker 4: You see how he started saying running backs and match like.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't do this. Mister Jake did give you
- 21:43Speaker 2: a card of Mike Allstarle, but you got to learn
- 21:46Speaker 2: about Mike Alsto plays fullback.
- 21:48Speaker 3: So do you load to like YouTube highlights? You ever
- 21:51Speaker 3: do that?
- 21:52Speaker 4: Like if players like Derek Stingley highlights that.
- 21:56Speaker 8: A YouTuber where like the crazy NFL players.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Okay, well, just when you get home today, you get
- 22:03Speaker 3: back to your tablet, just google Mike Allstart highlights and
- 22:07Speaker 3: I promise you you'll enjoy it. Yep, Okay, yeah, yeah, I.
- 22:10Speaker 8: Mean I'll be in the car for five.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Hours, so you'll have plenty of time.
- 22:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:15Speaker 2: They well be in the car for five hours, so
- 22:17Speaker 2: I guess by the fifth hour, maybe I'm running out
- 22:20Speaker 2: of things to watch.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I'll watch some fullback highlights.
- 22:22Speaker 2: You can watch Mike Alstock, Carrie.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Mike Allstotts highlights on YouTube. It's like when we remember
- 22:29Speaker 3: when we talk about Sean Jordan's Hilight tape. It's like
- 22:32Speaker 3: that in the NFL, then not in l Pass high
- 22:36Speaker 3: school football exactly.
- 22:37Speaker 9: I think you'll love this. I made Victoria watch Michael
- 22:40Speaker 9: stut highlights. Like in July, I couldn't decide what to
- 22:43Speaker 9: watch on TV. She's like, what are you gonna watch?
- 22:44Speaker 9: I was like, we're actually gonna watch this. Come sit
- 22:46Speaker 9: down right here.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yep.
- 22:47Speaker 9: It was like, there's this peak football right here. And
- 22:49Speaker 9: we watched a ten minute Michael Start highlights. You know
- 22:51Speaker 9: what was bressed?
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean she's got eyes in a brain, of
- 22:56Speaker 3: course she was, Hey, taste.
- 22:58Speaker 2: We got some hashtag asks in the chat right now,
- 23:02Speaker 2: all right, hashtag ask huck, who is your favorite l
- 23:05Speaker 2: s U football player?
- 23:08Speaker 8: L s U football player?
- 23:11Speaker 2: H mm hmmm, of course I like.
- 23:21Speaker 8: Present or like of all time?
- 23:23Speaker 7: Of all time?
- 23:24Speaker 6: Okay, Derek Stingly Yeah, okay, wow, also liked Sorry dad,
- 23:36Speaker 6: all right, those highlights are a little too grainy.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Might be top thirty.
- 23:40Speaker 3: He's like, wait, Dad, you played that all the.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Shoot top five.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Actually you actually often tell me that I'm the what
- 23:47Speaker 2: are you falling? The ninth best quarterback in l s
- 23:48Speaker 2: U history?
- 23:49Speaker 8: Not actually so voted. I looked it up. Voted at
- 23:53Speaker 8: said third, okay, voted and of all time six.
- 23:58Speaker 2: There we go.
- 24:00Speaker 10: Hey you're the top six, but but you're number four,
- 24:03Speaker 10: my heart, Dad, all right, ask Gatorade or.
- 24:08Speaker 3: My high.
- 24:11Speaker 8: Hydration my high taste gater.
- 24:17Speaker 2: From Brady is not about being honest, dude.
- 24:28Speaker 3: He broke it down the love and he's like, oh hydrated,
- 24:32Speaker 3: my high, but my gosh, oh wow, would be your
- 24:36Speaker 3: own people? You know?
- 24:40Speaker 2: Well, closing you.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Go from there?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess we got to close up shop now.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Okay, that's cook.
- 24:52Speaker 2: What is your favorite family Thanksgiving tradition?
- 24:55Speaker 8: Mm hmmm, do you know?
- 24:58Speaker 2: That's kind of a good question. We kind of do
- 24:59Speaker 2: a little some different every year. True, you get that
- 25:03Speaker 2: hand though, Yeah, where we're kind of I don't know
- 25:11Speaker 2: if we have any like actual things that we've done
- 25:13Speaker 2: every single year that kind of stick out.
- 25:15Speaker 9: Watch you yell at the packers every Thanksgiving? Huh, he
- 25:18Speaker 9: didn't watch you yell at the packers. Everything's given. True,
- 25:20Speaker 9: we do yell at the packers. We watched the football, yes,
- 25:23Speaker 9: of course.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 2: After after Thanksgiving we got Elvis comes.
- 25:29Speaker 8: Oh yeah, true. I'm pretty I'm convinced it's twenty six.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Twenty six.
- 25:36Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm saying it's not before Thanksgiving.
- 25:39Speaker 2: He's always yep, right after.
- 25:43Speaker 4: It's a late Thanksgiving.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Mhm, that's that's a late Thanksgiving. Little tradish.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Yeah absolutely, all right, Well, there's no coming back from that.
- 25:54Speaker 3: I don't know that Huck's gonna take over the family business.
- 25:56Speaker 3: As we're seeing in the chat here.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Well tastes better, obviously, he's got some productive criticisms. Got
- 26:03Speaker 2: something that's actually been a big part of the Taste
- 26:09Speaker 2: Test committee on the last two flavors that came out,
- 26:12Speaker 2: the barry Berry early on and then the Island Eyes.
- 26:16Speaker 2: We have a couple of flavors that are approved by Huck.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Can we get the grape pushed along?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Do you like the grape? We've tried the grape at home.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, it must have been memorable, be real good.
- 26:31Speaker 3: I've been trying to get the grape plug for like
- 26:33Speaker 3: a year.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Honestly, I thinks over there we go, There we go,
- 26:41Speaker 6: there we go, right, there we go.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Its basically just a flavor company.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's overrated.
- 26:48Speaker 5: It has all the sugar less electro.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Terrible taste good when it's got all that sugar.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Yeah, a that that Red Die forty in it.
- 26:59Speaker 8: People only buy because it's good. No one buys it
- 27:01Speaker 8: for electron.
- 27:02Speaker 3: That's right, right, that's right, that's right. All right. Huh,
- 27:07Speaker 3: you're the man. All right, we'll take a break. When
- 27:10Speaker 3: we come back, Coach Kim Maulkey joins us talk a
- 27:13Speaker 3: little LSU hoops and we'll do it right here on OTV.

- 29:01Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 29:04Speaker 3: Raising King Studio. Always our pleasure to welcome on our
- 29:08Speaker 3: next guest. We look forward to it every single week.
- 29:11Speaker 3: It is the head coach. LSU hoops coach Kim Moulki
- 29:13Speaker 3: joins us. Now, coach, what's going on? How you doing?
- 29:17Speaker 7: I'm living life, guys. I'm out walking in the beautiful
- 29:20Speaker 7: sunshine here in Saint Thomas, the Virgin Islands and had
- 29:25Speaker 7: breakfast with the team and hear roosters crowing in the
- 29:28Speaker 7: background and don't have anything to do until four forty five.
- 29:32Speaker 3: How are y'all our coach? That is incredible. When I
- 29:35Speaker 3: was talking to you last night, I'm just sitting there
- 29:37Speaker 3: thinking like, man, I need to get on the basketball broadcast.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I mean, I'm on the football broadcast. We're going to Norman,
- 29:42Speaker 3: Oklahoma and you're in the Virgin Islands. I think I
- 29:45Speaker 3: did it the wrong way.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Well, look, you guys are used to winning, right, Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 7: we don't have a head coach. Hell, I think you
- 29:52Speaker 7: ought to call the athletic department and say, guys, y'all
- 29:55Speaker 7: need to let us go with Moulkey on some of
- 29:57Speaker 7: these trips in football. Right, I said, we want to
- 30:01Speaker 7: be around, we want to be around a winner. But
- 30:03Speaker 7: look sounds like lots hopping in baton rouge and trying
- 30:07Speaker 7: to find a coach. And I don't ask questions. I
- 30:10Speaker 7: just get posts from people because not on social media.
- 30:13Speaker 7: So there's all kinds of rumors out there.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Coach, how crazy is that? Because I mean you've gone
- 30:19Speaker 3: through where you've taken a job or you take the
- 30:20Speaker 3: LSU job. Like, how crazy are some of the rumors
- 30:23Speaker 3: that are out there compared to like what actually happens
- 30:26Speaker 3: when you take a new job.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Well, I think I've been very fortunate. I haven't had
- 30:31Speaker 7: to look out of a suitcase. Most coaches, you know,
- 30:34Speaker 7: fired and moved to the next job. When I left
- 30:37Speaker 7: the places I've left, which are only two places, guys,
- 30:40Speaker 7: it was about it was my choice and so I
- 30:42Speaker 7: know how blessed I've been. But what is funny is
- 30:46Speaker 7: the things people make up to gain attention on social media. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 7: and they don't know anything. They just stir it up.
- 30:54Speaker 7: But sometimes, from what I've been told, social media has
- 30:59Speaker 7: kind of what's going on, but then they just really
- 31:03Speaker 7: you know, make it sound better or worse or whatever
- 31:06Speaker 7: than it really is.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I think we are all really really ready for the
- 31:12Speaker 2: rumor mill to stop and for something to happen, because yeah, well,
- 31:15Speaker 2: just like you, we're kind of tired of just seeing
- 31:17Speaker 2: all the opinions and all the people with quote unquote
- 31:21Speaker 2: insider knowledge out there. So hopefully we get some some
- 31:24Speaker 2: sort of solidification here pretty soon. But well, I guess
- 31:27Speaker 2: we'll see. But let's make this about your your lady tigers, Ay,
- 31:30Speaker 2: and y'all went down in the Virgin Islands. You're in
- 31:32Speaker 2: Saint Thomas, like you said, so tell us kind of
- 31:34Speaker 2: the schedule of traveling there to a place like that.
- 31:36Speaker 2: It's a little different than just traveling to a normal
- 31:39Speaker 2: away games. You're going to the islands, of course, I'm
- 31:42Speaker 2: sure you give them some time to enjoy the sites,
- 31:45Speaker 2: enjoy the scenery.
- 31:47Speaker 7: Well, Matt, it's interestinct that you said that, because we
- 31:50Speaker 7: left baton route four fifteen in the morning yesterday to
- 31:54Speaker 7: get on a six o'clock flight to take us to Atlanta.
- 31:56Speaker 7: From Atlanta to the Virgin to Saint Thomas. So we
- 32:01Speaker 7: get to the Battery's airport yesterday, we load the plane,
- 32:04Speaker 7: everything's good, we closed the doors, we leave the gate,
- 32:08Speaker 7: and for three hours we sat on the runway. Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 7: the Atlanta airport shut down. They had a storm going there,
- 32:16Speaker 7: so it was all everything was. You couldn't go in,
- 32:18Speaker 7: couldn't go out, And we were getting close to whatever
- 32:22Speaker 7: that rule is with the airlines now that you can't
- 32:25Speaker 7: stay on a plane more than three hours. I think
- 32:28Speaker 7: we were right at it, and all of a sudden
- 32:30Speaker 7: we got clearance. But here's what I want to say.
- 32:33Speaker 7: Delta Airlines was absolutely phenomenal. They held the plane for
- 32:39Speaker 7: us in Atlanta because there were not only fifty of us,
- 32:43Speaker 7: other planes and people that were getting on that only
- 32:46Speaker 7: flight from Atlanta to the Virgin Islands Saint Thomas. So,
- 32:50Speaker 7: I mean, how accommodating is that. You don't hear of
- 32:52Speaker 7: that nowadays, but they understood that many empty seats, we
- 32:57Speaker 7: hold the plane. So I can't think those those guys enough,
- 33:01Speaker 7: But we're gonna do fun things. We'll do a catamaran,
- 33:04Speaker 7: we'll do a lot of fun things. But we're here
- 33:08Speaker 7: to win two ball games. And sometimes when you're in
- 33:11Speaker 7: places like this, you lose your focus and you don't
- 33:14Speaker 7: look good. But you know everybody that's here has that
- 33:17Speaker 7: same problem.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Yeah, and coach, I mean, you've done this certainly in
- 33:21Speaker 3: the past before, Like you take these trips and you
- 33:24Speaker 3: look One of the things I love that you do
- 33:27Speaker 3: is like your players, like you're going to take them
- 33:30Speaker 3: as close to home as possible as well. Y'all did
- 33:32Speaker 3: that earlier this year. You've done that certainly throughout your
- 33:34Speaker 3: time here at LSU. I love that. I think that's
- 33:37Speaker 3: an awesome deal. You know, if somebody from North Louisiana
- 33:39Speaker 3: you go play up there. So like when you're scheduling
- 33:42Speaker 3: a trip like this, though, kind of what goes into it,
- 33:45Speaker 3: Like what's the thought process and how do you maybe
- 33:47Speaker 3: choose which.
- 33:47Speaker 7: One you want to go to when you've been in
- 33:50Speaker 7: And as long as I've been, there's nowhere I haven't been,
- 33:53Speaker 7: so it's like, maybe maybe I don't need to be
- 33:56Speaker 7: the one deciding on the great trip we need to
- 33:58Speaker 7: take our team because I did not realize I've been
- 34:01Speaker 7: here numerous times, guys, but I did not realize until
- 34:05Speaker 7: I asked my team at the end of practice, how
- 34:06Speaker 7: many of you have never been All but one had
- 34:10Speaker 7: never been here. So I was like, see, make sure
- 34:12Speaker 7: you make a decision not thinking about what you have
- 34:15Speaker 7: done as a coach. So we've done it all, Puerto Rico,
- 34:18Speaker 7: the Bahamas, Hawaii, Maui, the whole bit. And there's only
- 34:24Speaker 7: so many in November that you know are being hosted,
- 34:29Speaker 7: you know, so we will keep doing it. I think
- 34:32Speaker 7: it's a learning opportunity. I think it gives all of
- 34:36Speaker 7: us a chance to go places that we may not
- 34:39Speaker 7: could afford or would never go, and our institution allows
- 34:45Speaker 7: us to affords us that opportunity.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Well, coach, he got this great opportunity this week and
- 34:51Speaker 2: then of course next week looking forward to another opportunity
- 34:55Speaker 2: against Duke. And it kind of got me thinking about,
- 34:57Speaker 2: you know, you have this long stretch in betwe games
- 35:00Speaker 2: right now got me thinking about the comparison to game
- 35:05Speaker 2: preparation for football, and I was just curious on how
- 35:07Speaker 2: that compares to your game prep for your certainly for
- 35:11Speaker 2: you but for your players, a football is all about
- 35:14Speaker 2: watching as much film as you can film film, film?
- 35:16Speaker 2: How much of that of the studying film and your
- 35:19Speaker 2: opponent goes into before each and every game?
- 35:23Speaker 7: Well, y'all correct me. I'm trying to play football coach here.
- 35:27Speaker 7: In basketball coach, y'all have eleven, you know, games plus
- 35:31Speaker 7: the playoffs. Now, so you you know what weekends your
- 35:35Speaker 7: by weekend, so you kind of know and you think
- 35:38Speaker 7: about it. How many? How many games? Tell me how
- 35:40Speaker 7: many games the national championship in football will have played?
- 35:44Speaker 7: The national champions How many will they have played if they,
- 35:48Speaker 7: you know, go all the way to the title. How
- 35:50Speaker 7: many games? That?
- 35:51Speaker 3: I think? I think sixteen, depending only if you got
- 35:53Speaker 3: to buy in the playoffs or if you take the longer.
- 35:56Speaker 7: Yeah, so say MAC sixteen right right? Can you imagine
- 36:02Speaker 7: I would be screaming from the mountaintops if that was
- 36:05Speaker 7: my season. I have to start, I have to start
- 36:09Speaker 7: in September October, and if you go through the playoffs
- 36:13Speaker 7: through April. So you know, I think back to the teams,
- 36:16Speaker 7: my forty and oh teams, and we say a lot
- 36:19Speaker 7: of games, right, So in football, every one of your
- 36:24Speaker 7: games is magnified because that's the only game you're thinking
- 36:28Speaker 7: about that week. We may have two or three games
- 36:31Speaker 7: in a week, so you have to make sure you
- 36:34Speaker 7: don't get kids too high too low. And in ours
- 36:37Speaker 7: we have a lot of weak games. I admit that,
- 36:41Speaker 7: So I tell the kids, you know, I'm not going
- 36:44Speaker 7: to overemphasize this game, but it sure would be embarrassing
- 36:46Speaker 7: if you lost this game. You guys have to really
- 36:50Speaker 7: really focus on that one game in football, right, and
- 36:53Speaker 7: then you flush it and then you move on to
- 36:56Speaker 7: the next game. And you have to do that, you know,
- 36:58Speaker 7: sixteen times if you go all the way to national championship.
- 37:01Speaker 7: Ours is such a long season, so you have to
- 37:04Speaker 7: keep them motivated. You have to think of creative ways,
- 37:07Speaker 7: not only in the film room, but on the court,
- 37:11Speaker 7: to mix in a little happiness, to mix in a
- 37:13Speaker 7: little fun, and then jump them and get on them hard.
- 37:17Speaker 7: I'm not a psychiatrist. I'm not a psychologist, but that's
- 37:20Speaker 7: a lot of what we do.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yep, it's a great point. You're right. I mean, sixteen
- 37:25Speaker 3: games compared to forty plus games is something completely different.
- 37:28Speaker 3: And you know, the game after when you do get
- 37:31Speaker 3: back stateside against Duke, it is an ACC SEC Challenge,
- 37:35Speaker 3: and you know us football meat heads, like we are
- 37:37Speaker 3: so like SEC, we want to prove that we're the
- 37:40Speaker 3: very best. Like is that the same way in every sport,
- 37:43Speaker 3: Like you're prideful about the conference, and you want to
- 37:45Speaker 3: go out there and show like hey, like week in
- 37:47Speaker 3: and week out in the SEC, like we're playing against
- 37:50Speaker 3: the best of the best.
- 37:52Speaker 7: I think so, I think you know there are personal
- 37:55Speaker 7: ribbalies within our conference, but when we're not playing each other,
- 37:59Speaker 7: you certainly want conference to do good because it makes
- 38:02Speaker 7: us all look good. The ACC SEC Challenge that of course,
- 38:06Speaker 7: is not selected who we play by us. That is,
- 38:11Speaker 7: you know, the women's administrator of each conference decides that
- 38:15Speaker 7: based upon I guess pre season what they think everybody
- 38:19Speaker 7: will be. And at the time, Duke was a top
- 38:21Speaker 7: ten team and they've struggled here this year, so by
- 38:26Speaker 7: the time we played them, they won't even be ranked.
- 38:29Speaker 7: So that was one of the ranked opponents in the
- 38:32Speaker 7: non conference that we were counting on. But that's okay.
- 38:35Speaker 7: I'm not changing my philosophy on non conference scheduling. I
- 38:40Speaker 7: pick and choose when I want to make it a
- 38:42Speaker 7: little bit harder, and when I don't want to make
- 38:44Speaker 7: it hard. No one knows their team better than their
- 38:48Speaker 7: own coach. And I'm not in I'm not into coaching
- 38:52Speaker 7: because somebody out there, or a fan out there, or
- 38:55Speaker 7: a media person out there, thinks I should play a
- 38:58Speaker 7: tougher non conference. It's worked for me through the years.
- 39:01Speaker 7: Give me a two to three whatever seed. Hey, if
- 39:04Speaker 7: we run the table, you get a one seed. So
- 39:07Speaker 7: it's in our it's in our control somewhat. And we
- 39:11Speaker 7: have been very successful doing it.
- 39:13Speaker 3: The way we want to do it, no question about it.
- 39:17Speaker 3: And we look forward to watching every single game, certainly
- 39:21Speaker 3: with everything coming up. Cannot wait to watch down there
- 39:24Speaker 3: in the Virgin Islands, Duke. When you get home and
- 39:26Speaker 3: all season long, coach, you're the best. We truly appreciate
- 39:29Speaker 3: your time. Enjoy a couple of days there in the sun.
- 39:33Speaker 7: God, and enjoy Thanksgiving with your families. I wouldn't know
- 39:36Speaker 7: what that felt like.
- 39:37Speaker 3: One day we get it.
- 39:39Speaker 7: One day I will be able to say, oh, so
- 39:41Speaker 7: this is what you do at Thanksgiving. And now we
- 39:44Speaker 7: don't know anything about that holiday in basketball. But in
- 39:48Speaker 7: Christmas time, I make sure we're all at home and
- 39:51Speaker 7: understand the meaning of Christmas.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, A good one, you too, coach, the absolute best,
- 39:57Speaker 3: good enough to join us every single week here on
- 39:59Speaker 3: OT that's right, right about it?
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah, unil I was like thirty something. It was like
- 40:05Speaker 2: no Thanksgiving.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Oh I had not Yeah yeah, it was like Thanksgiving
- 40:09Speaker 3: and Christmas. I think, gosh, maybe retire probably huh yeah.
- 40:17Speaker 3: In the NFL we played a game on Christmas Day
- 40:19Speaker 3: one time.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there's multiple years or it was like I played
- 40:23Speaker 2: on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Oh yeah, being Green
- 40:25Speaker 2: Bay for sure.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Thanksgiving yeah so uh yeah, but you know.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Thinks she's been doing a long time. I don't really
- 40:33Speaker 2: know what Thanksgiving that.
- 40:34Speaker 3: But coach, if the broadcast team goes down, you know,
- 40:38Speaker 3: if they have maybe a little bit too much fun
- 40:40Speaker 3: and they stay out in the sun a little bit
- 40:41Speaker 3: too long and maybe they got like a bad sunburn
- 40:43Speaker 3: or something, and you need to tap in OTB. Let
- 40:47Speaker 3: us know. We'll be there Friday.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was a give and go.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Oh if you want like we got you, comet you.
- 40:58Speaker 3: I promise you it's not gonna be the best broadcast,
- 41:01Speaker 3: but it'll be the most entertaining broadcast.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I promise you that good goshamight did Joe Friday.
- 41:08Speaker 3: All right, we'll take a break more OTB when we
- 41:12Speaker 3: come back here live from the Raising Kates Studio.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 41:17Speaker 2: You have issues.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Uh, they don't have issues. They don't have any issues.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I actually have an I actually think like tomorrow is
- 41:26Speaker 3: maybe the best dos Sekis day. You're gonna have a
- 41:31Speaker 3: great meal and you're gonna have football for the rest
- 41:34Speaker 3: of the day with no other responsibilities, right, I mean,
- 41:38Speaker 3: feed up, watching some ball with some family and friends around.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Go for dose. Come on, I mean, it's it's right there.
- 41:46Speaker 3: It makes all the sense in the world. You're going
- 41:49Speaker 3: to have a utopic experience when you go for dose
- 41:51Speaker 3: on Thanksgiving.
- 41:52Speaker 2: That's right, it's uh. You kick your feet up and
- 41:54Speaker 2: then look, we got got so much football weekend. We
- 41:57Speaker 2: got egg Bowl, we got tie guess, we got Saints,
- 42:01Speaker 2: we got everything. So make sure it's a dose sekiest
- 42:03Speaker 2: type of weekend. Make sure you get it today because
- 42:05Speaker 2: stories probably closed tomorrow. So make sure you're getting your
- 42:07Speaker 2: dose secies today, get it in the fridge, getting the
- 42:09Speaker 2: nice just get it ready for you and your family.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Happy Thanksgiving, y'all, go go for dose Sei.

- 45:11Speaker 3: of men. Yeah, because my other boys are like they're
- 45:14Speaker 3: you know, teenage age and they're like, you know, sleeping
- 45:17Speaker 3: a little bit. Yeah, now jack I mean Jackson football
- 45:20Speaker 3: practice right now. But mempicin Huck would be what was
- 45:23Speaker 3: his take? He said he came on last year and
- 45:25Speaker 3: said two years ago, and they were like, who's the
- 45:28Speaker 3: best quarterback in the NFL? And he gave an answer,
- 45:30Speaker 3: probably Burrow. And then he's like, who's the worst quarterback?
- 45:33Speaker 3: He's like the Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, He's trash.
- 45:38Speaker 7: Was wrong.
- 45:39Speaker 3: He was definitely right at say Jets quarterback. Ye, I
- 45:45Speaker 3: did write down Huck's Super Bowl prediction. So if he
- 45:49Speaker 3: gets it right, he gets turnover chain. The turnover chain.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Is he familiar?
- 45:55Speaker 2: I don't think so. I'll have to show you. I'll
- 45:57Speaker 2: show you the turnover chain.
