  hopelessly sealed. Several days passed in which

  heaven seemed deaf to the entreaties of the praying

  Saints, but they stuck at it with steady tenacity.

  Note also their praying was specific and concentrated.

  It was for Peter's deliverance, for the repulse of hostile

  powers, for special guidance, courage, victory in a crisis

  hour. They kept on at that one thing,

  using no doubt, all kinds of holy arguments with God.

  What a contrast perhaps to our vague or long winded general

  prayers which nullify prayer meetings today.

  Oh, that we would really pray and wait upon our God to act.
