  All right, we got, we got a little rain coming through.

  OK. So today is all about the Kyle

  Petty Charity ride. So this evening, this Tuesday

  evening, Ann Schrader, Kenny Schrader's wife, Ann called my

  wife and said, hey, we're going to make a couple casseroles on

  this Tuesday evening. And our group that is leaving
• 0:49
  from Saint Louis here on our motorcycles, we're going to get
• 0:53
  together tonight. So we're going out to Kenny
• 0:55
  Schrader's house. And Kim and I are going to meet
• 1:00
  some of the people that we don't know and say hi and get a good
• 1:06
  night's sleep on this Tuesday night.

  Because Wednesday morning, I think there's ten of us.

  And we're going to take off from Saint Louis and we're going to
• 1:17
  go all the way up to the Bailey's.

  Yeah. Hey, if you if you look back,

  some of you older people, do you remember JD Mcduffie, the NASCAR
• 1:30
  driver, JD Mcduffie, every once in a while it said, Bailey
• 1:34
  excavating on the side of that Cup car.

  So we're going to their house. We're going to make it all the

  way up to Michigan Wednesday. We're going to get up to the the

  bet John Bailey's house and his wonderful family.

  I've been there before and we're going to stop there on Wednesday

  night. And then not sure when, but
• 1:56
  Kenny and Ann Schrader, they're in charge or follow them.

  And then we're going to make our way up to Traverse Michigan.

  I guess it's home of the what? Cherry pie.

  Help me out. This is what's great about the

  experience new things. So that is our plan.

  Charity Ride and what I know and what I've witnessed and what

  it's about. First thing I want to do is I

  want to thank Kyle Petty and Morgan Petty.

  Morgan Petty is unbelievable. She's so organized.

  I want to thank Kyle Petty for calling me about four or five
• 2:40
  years ago. Kyle Petty and that that voice,

  he goes, hey man, I need you to do 2 things for me.

  I said, what's that, Kyle? He said, I need you to get on

  that damn couch like you always do.

  I need you to sell my book. I said, I can do that.

  Absolutely. And he goes, and I need you to

  come on the, the ride with us. And I said, Kyle, I'm too

  hyperactive. I said, your ride is too long.

  I said, I love motorcycles. We grew up motocrossing.

  We ride motorcycles. I said, but we're, we're guys
• 3:16
  that we go 40 miles one way and then we eat and come back 42

  hours. That's that's our type of
• 3:22
  motorcycling. I said this, this Kyle Petty
• 3:25
  charity ride where you ride across America.

  I said, Kyle, I'd go crazy inside that helmet and I'd be
• 3:32
  talking to myself. Herman, what are you doing?

  You know, he said, hey, man, he says them days are over.

  We've got this Kyle Petty Cherry ride geared up towards the older
• 3:44
  people nowadays. And I said, well, I said, OK,

  talk to me. So our first, our first ride
• 3:53
  when we leave Traverse City and head on down to Detroit, that's
• 3:57
  365 miles. But, and that's a lot for me.

  That's a lot. But we stop along the way, which
• 4:04
  is nice because I need that or else I'll start blinking.

  But the rest of the day is pretty short ones.

  But I can do that. And so I want to thank Kyle
• 4:17
  Petty for calling me. Thank you Kyle, because you have
• 4:22
  changed Kim's and my life. I'll take some great words from

  Kyle Petty. Kyle looked at me the last ride
• 4:32
  and he goes, hey man, I used to think this was about
• 4:35
  motorcycles. He says it's not, it's about
• 4:39
  people and it really is. Heck, the people we're meeting
• 4:43
  tonight out of Schraders, 2 years ago, Kenny Schrader and I
• 4:47
  didn't even know these people. We're meeting people along the
• 4:51
  ride. We're making friends and Kyle's
• 4:54
  right, it's geared up towards older people now, 9 times out of
• 4:58
  10, unless we got to make time, we get to these hotels around 4
• 5:02
  O clock and we meet all the fans.
• 5:05
  The fans are there, they're lined up professionally, very
• 5:08
  organized. We sign autographs every every
• 5:10
  single night. So go to

  But we stop, you know, we sign autographs at the hotel when

  we're done that night. And then there's people lounging

  around the hotel, most likely. Kim and I go right up the room,
• 5:39
  get our gear off and relax. And, you know, we have a nice
• 5:43
  dinner afterwards. So when we do these dinners, you
• 5:46
  get to meet people. Now our lunch stops are really
• 5:49
  good too. So when we stop for gas along
• 5:53
  the ride, they'll also have a line of fans because the fans
• 5:57
  that really study the ride, they know where we're coming.

  So they'll take their lunch break off too.
• 6:02
  They'll be some of the fans, they'll be working and for their
• 6:05
  lunch break, they'll come meet us at our gas station.
• 6:09
  And that's what we do. We we most likely stop at gas
• 6:12
  stations. We did it last year and the fans
• 6:15
  are in line at the gas stations. And what's really cool is when
• 6:18
  you see the King, Richard Petty, man, that guy, he, Richard
• 6:24
  Petty's the one to keeping me going.
• 6:26
  That guy's of age now, man. And you look at the king and
• 6:30
  you're like, damn, I got to keep going too.
• 6:33
  So the King's on his trike. The great Herschel Walker, Kenny
• 6:37
  Schrader. Check it out this year.

  I don't know exactly who's all going, but you got some
• 6:43
  celebrities and we sign autographs.

  OK, the last thing I want to tell you about the Kyle Petty
• 6:49
  charity riding. This is for a wonderful 'cause
• 6:53
  now I'm going to say this the best I can.

  And then you add on this. This is not a gotcha moment, OK?

  This is our third Kyle Petty charity ride.

  So what I want to say about this is, as you know, years ago, very

  sadly, Kyle lost his son Adam, and it was incredibly heartfelt

  because Adam was a lover. Man did I love that kid.

  He was. Adam was a sweetheart.

  He was a sweetheart. But I'm going to tell you one
• 7:27
  thing, he was a really good race car driver.
• 7:31
  Adam won an ASA race up at I-70 and he could flat ass drive.

  Adam Petty was a great race car driver.
• 7:40
  Then you match it up with he was a wonderful soul.

  So the way Kyle tells the story and listen to Kyle, I'm just,

  I'm just promoting the Kyle Petty charity ride.

  So when Adam lost or went when Kyle Petty lost his son, they

  created the Victory Junction gang camp and, and Kyle calls it

  camp. Or if you're an individual and

  you go to the Kyle, the Victory Junction Gang Camp, he calls you
• 8:13
  campers. And we know how much money it
• 8:16
  cost to send these children that are not good.

  So these campers are children that are not in good shape.

  And it's their way to go hunting, fishing, swimming,
• 8:29
  archery. They got it all last year.

  We all went to the Victory Junction Gang Camp up there.

  What is that? Raleigh Durham?

  Oh my God, it's, it's incredible.

  So you can never raise enough money for this Victory Junction
• 8:44
  Gang Camp. It is the real deal.

  They put a new swimming pool in last year because they needed
• 8:49
  one. The old one just started, you
• 8:51
  know, going bad. You, you got it.

  You got to keep up with these swimming pools for these young
• 8:55
  campers. So every year we raise about
• 8:59
  $2,000,000. We got Harley-Davidson

  corporate, Coca-Cola corporate. And I mean, there's great

  sponsors, but we need you to donate too.

  So go to the Victory Junction Gang Camp or basically the Kyle

  Petty Charity Ride. And right there you can donate.

  I donate every year. Yes, I do.

  I don't. I sent thousands of dollars.

  So I just wanted to let you know what this is about.

  So when we're riding, we're riding for A cause and it's very

  heartfelt. So it's the real deal.

  This is one of these deals. You know, one thing that upsets

  me about these other fundraisers, you'll give $100

  bill and like $80.00 goes to administration fees and $20 goes
• 9:47
  to the fun. This is not like that.

  This is the real deal. And that's why we all help out

  the kids that are not in good shape and they get to fulfill
• 9:58
  their dream by going as as Kyle and Morgan say, to camp and the

  campers are the kids. So I think our whole life is

  about children, right? All right, everybody, we will
