- 0:16Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside and life with
- 0:21Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan, O'Malley along with Trey Trendholm.
- 0:31Speaker 1: The pop heard around the world happened yesterday. For those
- 0:38Speaker 1: that missed the biggest news in the world, we will
- 0:43Speaker 1: share it with you now. A Pennsylvania woman announced an
- 0:49Speaker 1: engagement to an Ohio man. M I'd love to take
- 1:01Speaker 1: full credit for that, but I can't. I have to
- 1:04Speaker 1: properly attribute that to Fox twenty nine in Philadelphia for
- 1:09Speaker 1: posting a photo of Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift after
- 1:15Speaker 1: a football game, her looking up at him with such
- 1:18Speaker 1: proud eyes after a victory, with the headline Pennsylvania woman
- 1:23Speaker 1: announces engagement to Ohio man. So bravo of Fox twenty nine.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And for those that somehow we're living under a rock,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey are engaged, yay for them.
- 1:38Speaker 2: You would have thought, I don't think. In fact, I
- 1:43Speaker 2: know Middy's Peace would not have gotten as much press.
- 1:49Speaker 1: No, it would not have. You know why, because we
- 1:52Speaker 1: don't trust it. Even if someone signed something, we wouldn't
- 1:57Speaker 1: be like, eh, give it a week.
- 2:00Speaker 2: But we all of a sudden have faith at Taylor
- 2:02Speaker 2: Swift's relationships.
- 2:07Speaker 1: She gets a bad rap as far as the relationship
- 2:10Speaker 1: stuff goes, because if you think about it, what, she's
- 2:13Speaker 1: thirty four, thirty five years old, right, think about your
- 2:17Speaker 1: average never been married, thirty something. I mean, her body
- 2:25Speaker 1: count is not anywhere near what others are now. Granted,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I don't know if she's had any dallions is outside
- 2:34Speaker 1: of her relationships. But I was having a conversation with
- 2:38Speaker 1: our friend Rebecca Black yesterday and she was telling me
- 2:40Speaker 1: about all the relationships that Taylor has had. You know,
- 2:45Speaker 1: she had a Jonas brother, she had some guy like
- 2:47Speaker 1: a Healey, guy that I didn't remember, Calvin Hill, the
- 2:50Speaker 1: DJ slash producer, Travis Kelcey, obviously Tom Hiddleston for like
- 2:55Speaker 1: five minutes, who's best known as Loki in the Marvel movies.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And maybe one other. I mean, how many did I
- 3:02Speaker 1: just name? Like six or seven?
- 3:04Speaker 2: I'll say five or six?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's not that many. I mean that's
- 3:07Speaker 1: barely several. I mean for a woman in her mid thirties,
- 3:11Speaker 1: that's not bad. Oh, Jake Gillenhall, there we go.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I have no issues with Taylor Swift, incredibly talented. I mean,
- 3:23Speaker 2: and I remember her when she was a teenager, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: you know, people don't realize she'd started off as a
- 3:27Speaker 2: country singer and then she made the leap and you know,
- 3:31Speaker 2: conquered the world. But incredibly talented, and you really have
- 3:37Speaker 2: never heard anything bad about her. She's just seems like
- 3:41Speaker 2: a good soul and incredibly talented. I I hope they
- 3:47Speaker 2: have nothing, but you know, love and happiness.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Agreed, it'd be easy to do the tear down thing here,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but honestly, I help I wish them both nothing but
- 3:57Speaker 1: joy and happiness. I actually that for most people, not everybody,
- 4:02Speaker 1: but most people, them included. I will admit I'm a
- 4:10Speaker 1: bit of a swiftye. I didn't used to be. I mean,
- 4:12Speaker 1: I always appreciated, you know, her as an artist or
- 4:14Speaker 1: whatever and who she was, but I wasn't like, oh
- 4:16Speaker 1: my god, I left ta a swift. I'm not at
- 4:18Speaker 1: the point where I'm like, you know, friendship, bracelets up
- 4:21Speaker 1: to my shoulder kind of thing, and crying at the
- 4:23Speaker 1: end of a stage at one of her show's kind
- 4:25Speaker 1: of a deal. But I like her music and like
- 4:28Speaker 1: you said, seems like a good person as far as
- 4:30Speaker 1: I can tell. And Probably the worst thing about her
- 4:35Speaker 1: is that she is an open book man if and
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's and that's really it really is about the worst
- 4:42Speaker 1: thing about her, if you want to try to pick something,
- 4:46Speaker 1: is that she wears her emotions on her musical sleeve.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Well, she she's.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Not necessarily a bad thing. It's just cautionary if you
- 4:56Speaker 1: try to date her.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Well, she is a talented and prolific and she takes
- 5:02Speaker 2: what's going on in her life and pours that into
- 5:04Speaker 2: her music. Happy or sad, But no, my I I
- 5:11Speaker 2: like her music. It's great. It's one of those things
- 5:15Speaker 2: kind of for me, probably like Kenny Chesney, I'm probably
- 5:20Speaker 2: not gonna go out and buy a ticket to a concert,
- 5:24Speaker 2: but if someone said, hey, do you want to go? Absolutely,
- 5:28Speaker 2: you know, especially being the ticket to a Taylor Swift
- 5:30Speaker 2: concert is probably but a thousand dollars.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It's starting, Yeah, behind a poll. I I feel like it.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I mean, it was not a Kennedy moment, but it
- 5:47Speaker 1: was interesting yesterday when I hit refresh on one website
- 5:50Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, all every little window
- 5:53Speaker 1: and tab on this news source thing that I go to,
- 5:56Speaker 1: every little button and thumbnail was full of Travis Kelsey,
- 6:00Speaker 1: Taylor Swift stuff. And to me, that's where I think
- 6:03Speaker 1: people get really crummy, is they're like, look at all
- 6:07Speaker 1: that happiness and then they got to talk noise about it,
- 6:10Speaker 1: kind of like the monkey Bots and Superman. If you
- 6:12Speaker 1: see the movie, you'll understand that. But I mean it
- 6:15Speaker 1: really is. It's like some people just hate seeing people
- 6:17Speaker 1: happy and there's nothing you can do about that. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: will say that I've learned a little bit more about
- 6:23Speaker 1: Travis Kelce in the past few months in the sense
- 6:25Speaker 1: that he's not as dopey as I thought he was.
- 6:28Speaker 1: He seems to be pretty intelligent, just a fun guy,
- 6:34Speaker 1: maybe a good counterpoint to a Taylor Swift who can
- 6:37Speaker 1: be a little emo at times. But he's definitely not
- 6:41Speaker 1: meathead like Gronkowski is.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Oh no, no, I I like the Kelsey brothers, as
- 6:49Speaker 2: you know. I've they're entertaining and.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I want to hang out with Jason and and that's
- 6:55Speaker 1: that's a Cowboys fan saying that, Yeah, I would hang
- 6:58Speaker 1: out with former Eagle Jason.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh. I would just take him to a tailgate and
- 7:03Speaker 2: just you know, start him off with a couple of
- 7:07Speaker 2: beer bongs and goes.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And just wind him up and watch him go, and
- 7:14Speaker 1: that was a great thing. I thought that was so
- 7:16Speaker 1: great was the first time that Taylor Swift met Travis
- 7:19Speaker 1: Kelsey's family. Jason Kelsey rips his shirt off and jumps
- 7:22Speaker 1: into the stage. Welcome to the family. I can't wait
- 7:28Speaker 1: to see that wedding and the photos and People magazine.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Gonna be Jason Kelsey looking like a Chippendale's dancer running
- 7:36Speaker 1: around the dance floor.
- 7:37Speaker 2: No, Jason Kelsey is gonna be like the Dan band.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Now, I want to go to the wedding.
- 7:50Speaker 3: You're in the visit us online a treehouseonair dot com.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Eight three three cook DFW. That's the phone number you're
- 8:04Speaker 1: going to need to get that quote on a brand
- 8:06Speaker 1: new outdoor space. And this works a couple of different ways.
- 8:09Speaker 1: If you've been thinking about redoing an existing outdoor space, Daniel,
- 8:14Speaker 1: you can help with that, or if you want to
- 8:16Speaker 1: create one out of nothing, you can help with that.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And if they call within the next couple of weeks
- 8:20Speaker 1: to get that free estimate, they're entered in to win
- 8:23Speaker 1: a big green egg courtesy of you. It's very nice
- 8:26Speaker 1: of you to give away your personal property like that
- 8:28Speaker 1: to people.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Dan. This is actually brand new.
- 8:30Speaker 4: It's in a box. Everything is brand brand news, never
- 8:34Speaker 4: been used. So yes, we are going to be giving
- 8:36Speaker 4: away an extra large big green egg with a nest.
- 8:39Speaker 4: That's what they call the stand and it's ready to
- 8:42Speaker 4: be used. So yeah, wonderful option there. All you have
- 8:44Speaker 4: to do is call us out. You're right, you mentioned
- 8:46Speaker 4: several ideas there. We had a client just the last week.
- 8:49Speaker 4: They had an existing open style pergola. It was falling down.
- 8:53Speaker 4: They liked being outside, they used that, but they wanted
- 8:57Speaker 4: to recreate something different, and so we showed them what
- 8:59Speaker 4: the possibility is there were there was another client that
- 9:02Speaker 4: had an existing built into their house kind of like
- 9:05Speaker 4: a covered patio, and it went out only about eight
- 9:08Speaker 4: feet and so they didn't have a lot of space
- 9:10Speaker 4: out here. It was just a small eight by eight section.
- 9:12Speaker 4: So they wanted us to expand that out and then
- 9:15Speaker 4: we could build onto their existing roofline and add a
- 9:18Speaker 4: separate structure behind that, so it gave them another fifteen
- 9:20Speaker 4: feet of space. So the options are endless. There's always
- 9:24Speaker 4: something we can do with your backyard, and once you start,
- 9:27Speaker 4: you'll be excited to know you're gonna want more. So
- 9:30Speaker 4: you want stamp concrete at first, and then you want
- 9:32Speaker 4: your patio cover, and then you say, you know what,
- 9:34Speaker 4: it'd be nice to have a kitchen out here. Be
- 9:36Speaker 4: nice to have this built in, and so it's endless.
- 9:39Speaker 4: You're gonna enjoy your backyard a lot.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Better, and you might just win a big green egg,
- 9:44Speaker 1: your own, not Dangel's dirty one from his backyard. So
- 9:46Speaker 1: give him a call today eight three three Cook d
- 9:49Speaker 1: FW eight three three Cook DFW, or that website, cookdfw
- 9:53Speaker 1: dot com.

- 10:35Speaker 1: green egg courtesy of COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration. Give the
- 10:39Speaker 1: call today eight three to three Cook DFW or once
- 10:41Speaker 1: again the website cookdfw dot com. I must say, Trey,
- 10:47Speaker 1: I'm a little bit troubled by the text message you
- 10:49Speaker 1: sent me the other day, but I wanted to make
- 10:50Speaker 1: sure I gave you plenty of space to feel your
- 10:53Speaker 1: feelings and to think your thoughts. Okay, now I'm going
- 10:57Speaker 1: to need you to put your words in. I just
- 11:02Speaker 1: need you to tell us what it is.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Okay. Well, you know, over the years have been very
- 11:09Speaker 2: open about my addictions. People who have known me have
- 11:14Speaker 2: followed along. As you know. I came recovering alcoholic quit,
- 11:20Speaker 2: nicotine dipping, vaping, diet cokes. I mean, I've almost all
- 11:28Speaker 2: my addictions I have somewhat conquered. But there is one
- 11:32Speaker 2: last great addiction that I've had, and and there's really
- 11:36Speaker 2: no hasn't been a a a support group before this addiction.
- 11:41Speaker 2: So I'm going to try to start one.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm at a loss here, trade because I don't know
- 11:51Speaker 1: what addictions are left. And you've never done drugs, so
- 11:54Speaker 1: that's that's on the list as well. So drugs, alcohol, nicotine,
- 12:02Speaker 1: caffeine Oh no, no, wait, no, you still drink caffeine, just
- 12:06Speaker 1: not diet cox. Okay, yeah, all right, So I don't
- 12:10Speaker 1: know what addictions are left.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Well I am. I am going to start a group
- 12:16Speaker 2: called c A No, not that see.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Okay, because I thought that could be an addiction.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Well debatable. No, this is.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Cowboys anonymous as in our Dallas Cowboys as it's go ahead.
- 12:43Speaker 2: It's time to free ourselves of the addiction, the delusion
- 12:50Speaker 2: that we can all, you know, move on and and
- 12:56Speaker 2: save relationships and friendships and and and and so much time.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So in your last.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Grade, your last great addiction is the Dallas Cowboys.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And the delusion is anonymous.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and the delusion that they will do anything good.
- 13:18Speaker 2: So in doing so, I have developed a thirteen step
- 13:23Speaker 2: program to help people free themselves.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Did you develop a thirteen step program to help people
- 13:34Speaker 1: quit their cowboys addiction? Because twelve in a normal setting
- 13:38Speaker 1: is not enough for cowboys fans.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Well, if I'm being honest, it's thirteen because I had
- 13:45Speaker 2: to take a cheap shot at Aggie just to I can.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Help it forever a long hoard, all right, So it's
- 13:51Speaker 1: a twelve step program on how to quit the Dallas
- 13:54Speaker 1: Cowboys plus ant Aggie slam. Yeah, fair enough, Okay, I
- 14:04Speaker 1: don't know if I'm ready to admit that I have
- 14:06Speaker 1: a problem.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Oh Dan, you, of all people, you should be front
- 14:12Speaker 2: and center. I'm saving you a saint in this meeting.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Here's the thing, I don't think I have a problem
- 14:17Speaker 1: when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys. I think the
- 14:20Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys are their own problem. That my problem with
- 14:24Speaker 1: the Cowboys is the Cowboys. It's not the fact that
- 14:27Speaker 1: I watch them and continue to support them.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Oh really, you don't become emotionally invested in them.
- 14:36Speaker 1: It's hard.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I've been.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I've been with them for so long.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I know it's the addiction talking.
- 14:42Speaker 1: All right, give me give me one of your steps
- 14:45Speaker 1: so you can let me. I tell you what. Let
- 14:49Speaker 1: me hear your steps, and then I'll let you know
- 14:51Speaker 1: if this is something I feel like I'm I am
- 14:53Speaker 1: worthy of tackling about that?
- 14:55Speaker 2: All right, I'll tell you. We'll we'll. I'll start you
- 14:58Speaker 2: with it. I'll start you off with the first couple.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Okay, all right.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Step one, we admitted we were powerless over the Cowboys.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Our team and its salary cap have become unmanageable.
- 15:17Speaker 1: All right, So step one is to admit.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Say it again, we were powerless over the Cowboys were
- 15:23Speaker 2: our team and it's salary cap have become unmanageable.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Step two, oh, okay, okay.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Came to believe that only a power greater than ourselves,
- 15:40Speaker 2: namely an owner GM and head coach, could restore us
- 15:44Speaker 2: to sanity.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I feel like you're doing the Lord's work here.
- 15:53Speaker 2: It is. It's it's uh you know as uh an aa.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Bill w is the the founder and know someday they'll
- 16:01Speaker 2: look back and you know be tray t H brought
- 16:04Speaker 2: us out out of the darkness and uh and into
- 16:09Speaker 2: the light. All right, tell you any relationship?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Well, since since I am so far, you're only attendee
- 16:18Speaker 1: in this meeting, and I didn't know what meeting it
- 16:19Speaker 1: was when I walked in the room, you tricked me
- 16:21Speaker 1: with donuts and coffee, I'm going to stay and hear
- 16:24Speaker 1: it out. Okay, all right, I'm not saying that I
- 16:29Speaker 1: have a problem just yet.
- 16:32Speaker 2: It's okay, Dan, it's listen, be free yourself. You're gonna
- 16:39Speaker 2: find that it's so much better on the other side.
- 16:43Speaker 1: What's on the other side, like doing something else on Sundays?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Not watching football at all? Am I supposed to select
- 16:49Speaker 1: a new team? What's the deal?
- 16:50Speaker 2: I mean, that's up to you, but you know it. Certainly,
- 16:53Speaker 2: once you free yourself with the Cowboys addiction, you can
- 16:55Speaker 2: invest your time into a team that actually might do something.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Is that your way of saying, I need to invest
- 17:01Speaker 1: in myself.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Oh, we're pick a new team, So.
- 17:07Speaker 1: I just need to go to rally house and look around.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you're listening to the Treehouse.
- 17:23Speaker 6: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 17:38Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 17:46Speaker 1: If you like the Treehouse Show, then you will love
- 17:48Speaker 1: us on social media. Give us a follow today at
- 17:51Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air is our handle across all the social
- 17:55Speaker 1: media platform that's at Treehouse on Air. Give us a
- 17:58Speaker 1: follow today. Speaking of social media, Trey introduced us to
- 18:02Speaker 1: his Cowboys anonymous thirteen step program on how to free
- 18:06Speaker 1: yourself from being addicted to the Dallas Cowboys. I appreciate
- 18:10Speaker 1: your efforts. I look forward to the remaining eleven steps.
- 18:14Speaker 1: The good news is this is something you're gonna do
- 18:18Speaker 1: for like the next week and a half leading up
- 18:21Speaker 1: to the opening kickoff of the Cowboys versus the Eagles.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I think this is a great idea that you've got
- 18:27Speaker 1: Trey not only in how to help Cowboys fans free
- 18:31Speaker 1: themselves from their cowboys addiction, but by dropping these steps
- 18:35Speaker 1: here on the show and on social media. So if
- 18:39Speaker 1: you want to see Trey sharing these steps step by step,
- 18:43Speaker 1: make sure you're following us on social media. For the show,
- 18:46Speaker 1: it's at Treehouse on air, and for Trey it's at
- 18:48Speaker 1: Trey Trenholme one. I'm going to be keeping up with
- 18:51Speaker 1: these on social and right here inside the Treehouse. I'm
- 18:56Speaker 1: kind of excited. I'm cautiously optimistic, which is sad because
- 19:00Speaker 1: that's usually how I approach Cowboys seasons. Cautiously optimistic, think
- 19:04Speaker 1: about the freedom that'll come. Well, it would free me
- 19:08Speaker 1: up to go to Cracker Barrel more often? Can we
- 19:15Speaker 1: pivot a moment from the joy of Taylor Swift and
- 19:18Speaker 1: Travis Kelce getting engaged and the freedom that you are
- 19:22Speaker 1: offering us from cowboys' addiction? And I need to ask
- 19:25Speaker 1: you a very important question, Trey, is Cracker Barrel's logo
- 19:29Speaker 1: change a big deal at all to anybody? Really deep down?
- 19:34Speaker 2: Good gift to bleeps, thank you. I mean.
- 19:41Speaker 1: This for I've tried looking into this a little bit,
- 19:44Speaker 1: and by a little bit, I mean for about ten
- 19:46Speaker 1: minutes before we started the show today because I saw
- 19:49Speaker 1: the news about Cracker Barrel they had changed the logo.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It's like, okay, they changed the logo. And then a
- 19:54Speaker 1: few days later a bunch of people are big mad
- 19:57Speaker 1: that Cracker Barrel changed their logo because they took off
- 20:00Speaker 1: the old man next to the.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Barrel the cracker next to the barrel.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and then people that were big mad about it
- 20:08Speaker 1: were saying, Ah, Cracker Barrel's gone woke, And I'm just like, well,
- 20:12Speaker 1: did they or did they just change their logo? Like
- 20:15Speaker 1: was there some sort of modern woke agenda to it
- 20:18Speaker 1: or did they just change the logo? And so that's
- 20:22Speaker 1: what I tried to find out, like what was Cracker
- 20:24Speaker 1: Barrel's intentions on changing the logo And I couldn't find
- 20:28Speaker 1: anything other than they just wanted to. I think the
- 20:32Speaker 1: words they used was modernize it.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Some I forgot to see. The woman who's the SEO
- 20:39Speaker 2: said something that kind of alluded to bringing it that
- 20:47Speaker 2: there might have been some you know, a tinge of
- 20:50Speaker 2: oh racism, But it's I think, more than anything else,
- 20:57Speaker 2: people just don't like change. And I'll say this my
- 21:04Speaker 2: only thoughts on the deal were they made quite possibly
- 21:08Speaker 2: the dullest, most boring logo you could have, and it
- 21:15Speaker 2: was I don't know, it seems stupid.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It's great, that's a little promotional stuff. I mean, you're
- 21:23Speaker 1: you're getting an amazing value in in changing the logo
- 21:28Speaker 1: and changing it back just for the free advertising, the
- 21:31Speaker 1: free promotion of the brand. But outside of that, I'm
- 21:35Speaker 1: with you. Like they changed the logo, I wasn't mad
- 21:38Speaker 1: about it. I was more like, why did you like?
- 21:42Speaker 1: It's a bad logo, the new one. And I don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: mean because they took off the old fart who I
- 21:48Speaker 1: just mean it just looked like a bad logo, and
- 21:50Speaker 1: it's like, if you're gonna change it, change something a
- 21:52Speaker 1: little more drastic, or I don't, I don't know. I
- 21:55Speaker 1: wasn't mad about it because I don't typically get mad
- 21:57Speaker 1: about logos, but a bunch of people did. And then
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm looking around thinking, if the thing you're angriest about
- 22:05Speaker 1: today is a restaurant chain, a struggling restaurant chain, changing
- 22:11Speaker 1: its logo, then consider yourself very lucky. Yeah, absolutely, because
- 22:16Speaker 1: this country, in this world has way bigger actual problems.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Then whether or not an old man is sitting next
- 22:24Speaker 1: to a barrel for the cracker barrel logo.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I I go to a cracker barrel probably two times
- 22:33Speaker 2: a year. I meet my stepmom. There's one alan we have,
- 22:38Speaker 2: you know, lunch over there. Food's good. But I you know,
- 22:43Speaker 2: they have their little general store and whatever else, and
- 22:48Speaker 2: whether what the logo is it just I could give
- 22:52Speaker 2: two crabs and you're absolutely correct. If that's the biggest
- 22:57Speaker 2: problem in your day, you are leading a blessed wife.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I mean, I'm still trying to figure out like actual problems.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I mean, the thing that was most offensive to me
- 23:09Speaker 1: is that they barely changed the font, Like are you
- 23:14Speaker 1: changing the logo or not? Like if you just if
- 23:16Speaker 1: you just cut the old man and the barrel out, Okay,
- 23:20Speaker 1: you're just left with a yellow and brown, gross looking logo.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Things I'm not offended at. I'm not offended about it
- 23:28Speaker 1: as a white guy. I'm more offended at it just
- 23:30Speaker 1: from a lazy design standpoint.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I want to say. I read that they that they
- 23:34Speaker 2: spent seventy million dollars on this revamp.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I mean, like, okay, not just the logo, but overalled, Yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 1: but overhauled at the restaurant. Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 2: But could could you spend more than ten bucks on
- 23:48Speaker 2: on the graphic design?
- 23:53Speaker 1: That's an interesting I'd love to see that pie chart
- 23:55Speaker 1: in the meeting. All right, we're gonna spend seventy million
- 23:57Speaker 1: dollars on this rebranded relaunch your cracker barrel. How much
- 24:01Speaker 1: are you spending on the logo? Ten dollars?
- 24:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 24:04Speaker 1: I feel I feel like this is a good campaign.
- 24:07Speaker 1: This is gonna go really really well.
- 24:12Speaker 8: You're listening to the Treehouse Visit us online at treehouseonair

- 24:56Speaker 1: can tell all your friends and family that you listen
- 25:00Speaker 1: and laugh at the Treehouse Show. So together, let's grow,
- 25:06Speaker 1: all right, hold on to your butt, Trey, Bambi has herpies.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Didn't know Bamby was a slut?
- 25:20Speaker 1: You know that's a that's not nice tray to herpie's shame.
- 25:26Speaker 1: It may not be Bamby's fault. Maybe baby just sat
- 25:29Speaker 1: on a bad toilet seat. After frankenstein rabbits and zombies, squirrels,
- 25:38Speaker 1: mutant deer with flesh bubbles have been spotted in the
- 25:42Speaker 1: United States. I don't even want to go outside anymore.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Nightmarish photos of deer growing mutant like black bubbles are
- 25:56Speaker 1: now spreading like wildfire on social media. This was after
- 26:00Speaker 1: sightings of growth ravaged squirrels and rabbits across the United
- 26:04Speaker 1: States sparked fear of disease outbreaks. We can't catch a
- 26:09Speaker 1: break man, and by we our poor four legged furry
- 26:12Speaker 1: friends out in the woods. The site of the mutant
- 26:18Speaker 1: deer is disturbing and is scarring people. But people, is
- 26:25Speaker 1: it really a new plague? Over the past few months,
- 26:28Speaker 1: scary snapshots of the wildlife dominated social media. Rabbits with
- 26:31Speaker 1: antler like growths, hairless squirrels covered in oozing tumors, now
- 26:35Speaker 1: deer sporting wart like flesh bubbles from backyard cameras from
- 26:39Speaker 1: Pennsylvania to wooded trails in Wisconsin. The mutant deer have
- 26:43Speaker 1: become very popular on social media, so the experts say
- 26:49Speaker 1: these growths are known as cutaneous fibromas more commonly deer worts,
- 26:54Speaker 1: and they're caused by a species specific papilloma virus. So
- 26:58Speaker 1: I was wrong. Tray deer h don't have herpes, they
- 27:02Speaker 1: just have the HPV.
- 27:06Speaker 2: And this is up north.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So far, that's where most of these sightings have occurred.
- 27:14Speaker 1: But it's only a matter of time until these viruses
- 27:19Speaker 1: spread into Texas and the Southern States. Now, if they
- 27:23Speaker 1: want to try to put masks on the deer or
- 27:25Speaker 1: something like that, they can give it a shot. I mean,
- 27:29Speaker 1: or just tell them stop humping on each other.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, or yeah, some slutty Canadian deer that
- 27:35Speaker 2: you got over the border.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I will say this though, like, if you're a hunter
- 27:44Speaker 1: and you see one of these, you do put that
- 27:47Speaker 1: thing down, right, Like even more so because that really does.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Have you seen photos of these, it actually does look
- 27:53Speaker 1: like it's deer. It's oh, it's it's gross, it's nasty.
- 27:58Speaker 2: You know, that'll be an interesting question. Every state has
- 28:02Speaker 2: a different game management system.
- 28:06Speaker 1: But oh yeah, yeah, there's a photo of a wart
- 28:12Speaker 1: riddled deer. Oh yeah, that's actually one of the better photos.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that looks like some last of us, you
- 28:22Speaker 2: know bs.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Oh, gosh, yeah as gross.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I would assume that any state would tell hunters
- 28:34Speaker 2: yoh yeah if you can't put them down.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Typically, the phrase is supposed to be if you see something,
- 28:43Speaker 1: say something. In this case, if you see it, shoot it, Yeah,
- 28:48Speaker 1: especially if it's covered all up on their face like
- 28:50Speaker 1: the one photo that you just saw, Like if they
- 28:52Speaker 1: can't even see where it's going, it's gonna end up,
- 28:54Speaker 1: you know, on the middle of a road and then
- 28:56Speaker 1: in the middle of someone's windshield. So anyway, ew.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a it's a very I mean a sound
- 29:08Speaker 2: description of the whole thing.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Ew So if you see one, go you you, and
- 29:17Speaker 1: then someone please do us all a favor. Uh, I
- 29:22Speaker 1: will say this, Wouldn't it be a lot easier in
- 29:24Speaker 1: the dating world If so. What they're saying is that
- 29:27Speaker 1: these deer covered in these terrible warts have deer HPV.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be very helpful if in the dating scene
- 29:37Speaker 1: the same happened to people, like, instead of it located
- 29:40Speaker 1: underneath hidden clothing areas, instead it's just all up on
- 29:43Speaker 1: their face. You're like, okay, I know to avoid that guy.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that would certainly, uh, I mean, then they could have.
- 29:53Speaker 1: That I would run out into the woods with some
- 29:55Speaker 1: antlers on my head and pray for a hunter.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah, or you know, they could just have their own
- 29:59Speaker 2: little group. I mean just leper colonies are kind of
- 30:03Speaker 2: a thing of the past now, you know the HPV colonies,
- 30:07Speaker 2: bump worts.

- 31:15Speaker 1: Speaking of today, it is Thursday, August twenty eighth, two
- 31:19Speaker 1: thy twenty five birthdays today. Alanta Thompson turns twenty. Her
- 31:26Speaker 1: name is Alana Thompson, but I believe we all know
- 31:29Speaker 1: her best as Honeybooboo.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Wow.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yeah, honey Boomboo's twenty. Remember back in the early mid
- 31:38Speaker 1: two thousands, like the early ATS tray, when we were
- 31:41Speaker 1: tracking so many young starlets and when they were gonna
- 31:44Speaker 1: turn eighteen or twenty one. This is what I didn't
- 31:48Speaker 1: ever think about or wanted to know. I don't think it.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I don't think I don't think there's a website that's
- 31:54Speaker 1: tracking when Honeybooboo turned eighteen.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Honest, I would have thought she was older than that,
- 32:02Speaker 2: now that I think about it.
- 32:03Speaker 1: But that's I am proud to say. I have not
- 32:10Speaker 1: watched one second of a Honey Booboo episode.
- 32:15Speaker 2: No I saw clips that you know, but no, I
- 32:18Speaker 2: never and will never.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a sort of a double edged sword. When
- 32:24Speaker 1: you release clips from a show, is that your hope
- 32:28Speaker 1: is that it will attract new viewers. In this case,
- 32:33Speaker 1: it repelled me. I don't know if that's the case
- 32:38Speaker 1: for everybody, but again, that's why it's a double edged sword.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, Armie Hammer turns thirty nine. Armie Hammer
- 32:45Speaker 1: is an actor. He turns thirty nine. He was the
- 32:48Speaker 1: Winklevoss Twins in the Social Network movie. He was also
- 32:53Speaker 1: the Russian spy and the Man from Uncle movie with
- 32:57Speaker 1: Henry cavill and the Lone Ranger opposite Dep's Tonto Armie
- 33:03Speaker 1: Hammer thirty nine years old today. Trey help me remember
- 33:07Speaker 1: is he Isn't he from Dallas area? I think he is.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I think he might be a Highland Park kid. No,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I thought he had some sort of ties to Dallas anyway.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Leanne Rymes Leonn Rymes is forty three today. Jake Owen
- 33:26Speaker 1: is forty four, both of them country singers. Jake Owen's
- 33:30Speaker 1: big hits, Bearfit, Barefoot, Blue Gene, Night, Beachin, and I
- 33:34Speaker 1: Was Jack, You were Diane. Jack Black is fifty six.
- 33:40Speaker 1: He's a best known to the kiddies as a kung
- 33:43Speaker 1: fu panda. He was also in that Minecraft movie. He
- 33:46Speaker 1: was really really good in the Jumanji movie. So Jack Black.
- 33:49Speaker 1: As we were talking about this the other day with
- 33:51Speaker 1: Raj about how there's some like Melissa McCarthy. It was
- 33:54Speaker 1: her birthday and she's kind of a polarizing comedic figure
- 33:57Speaker 1: in films. Some people with her. It seemed like the
- 33:59Speaker 1: either lover or hater Rebel Wilson similar she's the blonde,
- 34:03Speaker 1: heavier set used to be from Australia. Same thing, kind
- 34:07Speaker 1: of fifty to fifty. Whether or not you love or
- 34:08Speaker 1: hate Jack Black, is that way for a lot of people,
- 34:12Speaker 1: Like he just kind of rubs. It's that same cut
- 34:14Speaker 1: from that same type of comedic cloth, like just really
- 34:17Speaker 1: brash and obnoxious. I'm a fan. I think he's immensely talented.
- 34:24Speaker 1: That man can seeing. I love Tenacious D.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I agree with you, incredibly talented. But also it's kind
- 34:34Speaker 2: of the same character. It just put in different scenarios.
- 34:38Speaker 2: But you're right. In the Jumanji movies he was great.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's phenomenal. In Tropic Thunder.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yes, School of Rock was good, but that's when he
- 34:51Speaker 2: was first coming out. You know who else I have
- 34:54Speaker 2: the same thing about it. It's Will Ferrell, Like I
- 34:58Speaker 2: love him to death, but it's kind of the same
- 35:00Speaker 2: character for the most part, over and over again.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Yep, that's true. The other thing with Jack Black that
- 35:06Speaker 1: I've always thought was fascinating. I'm not sure if you
- 35:08Speaker 1: knew this. Did you know Jack Black's mother was a
- 35:12Speaker 1: NASA scientist. I did not know that his mom worked
- 35:17Speaker 1: on the Apollo missions. If I remember correctly from things
- 35:20Speaker 1: I've read online, his mom was a tried and true
- 35:23Speaker 1: NASA scientist. But of course it was the sixties, so
- 35:26Speaker 1: you know, they thin't the women of NASA didn't get
- 35:29Speaker 1: a whole lot of credit back then. They weren't high
- 35:33Speaker 1: on the President's lips when it came time to say
- 35:36Speaker 1: thanks to everybody for taking us to the moon.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure she's so proud when she sees her
- 35:45Speaker 2: husband or her son, fat and shirtless on stage.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Singing about Satan and the pick of Destiny. I worked
- 35:59Speaker 1: at NASA, you know what. I bet she's very proud.
- 36:05Speaker 2: I just.
- 36:08Speaker 1: It is proof. Though it is proof, it doesn't matter
- 36:11Speaker 1: what you do, because I don't know how she raised him.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Have no idea, We have no idea. If she tried
- 36:15Speaker 1: to force math and science on him. Maybe she wanted
- 36:18Speaker 1: him to become a NASA scientist himself. And he's like, no, Mom, no,
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna go do this band with my buddy Kyle.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna become an actor and do all these other
- 36:27Speaker 1: random things. Or maybe she, you know, said yeah, go
- 36:30Speaker 1: for it, son, that's great, I've already done the important
- 36:32Speaker 1: stuff for our family. You go silly.
- 36:35Speaker 2: She just looks at his dad and goes, that's your kid.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:42Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Listen us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 36:58Speaker 8: You're listening to the tree House.
- 37:00Speaker 6: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 37:05Speaker 1: It is time to advertise right here inside the Treehouse.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available, so if you're interested, just shoot
- 37:12Speaker 1: us an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 37:15Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com to advertise
- 37:19Speaker 1: right here inside the Treehouse. There's a hot new exercise trend, Trey.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Are you ready for this?
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:28Speaker 1: When you go to the gym and you see someone
- 37:31Speaker 1: running on all fours, that's the new exercise trend. If
- 37:35Speaker 1: you go for a run on the Katie Trail and
- 37:39Speaker 1: someone runs past you on all fours, they are doing
- 37:42Speaker 1: the new hot exercise trend.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Bear crawls are the new hot exercise trend. It seems
- 37:51Speaker 2: to be.
- 37:52Speaker 1: The New York Post says, this latest trend in fitness
- 37:55Speaker 1: is running and jumping on all fours like an animal.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It's called quadrobics, and it's gaining traction, of course, on
- 38:05Speaker 1: social media, where people are showing off their bear crawls
- 38:08Speaker 1: and cat leaps, sometimes while wearing furry masks and tails.
- 38:14Speaker 1: I don't know if you necessarily need to go that route,
- 38:16Speaker 1: but whatever, Jim attire is a very personal choice.
- 38:24Speaker 2: So what was punishment for us in high school in football?
- 38:28Speaker 2: You know, if you screwed up, you were going to
- 38:30Speaker 2: do a bear crawl either, you know, depending on how
- 38:32Speaker 2: bad it was, either up and down the field or
- 38:35Speaker 2: around the field if you really screwed up. Now is
- 38:38Speaker 2: the newest hot exercise trends. And I honestly thought that
- 38:42Speaker 2: had kind of bearcrawls had kind of been like outlawed
- 38:44Speaker 2: because the younger, softer generations just didn't like them.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Well, it's not that the younger generation didn't like him,
- 38:53Speaker 1: it's the parents of those kids that didn't like them,
- 38:55Speaker 1: and they're like, you're not making my kid bearer crawl
- 38:58Speaker 1: because he was late to practice or he forgot as
- 39:00Speaker 1: pads at home. I don't know if I don't know
- 39:04Speaker 1: if people were seeing that as too corporal punishment like
- 39:10Speaker 1: with the bear crawls. But yeah, you're right, bear crawls,
- 39:13Speaker 1: cat leaps, those types of things are now going to
- 39:15Speaker 1: be hitting your local gym. So if you go to
- 39:17Speaker 1: Planet Fitness and it's pizza night and someone bear crawls
- 39:21Speaker 1: passed you to get a slice, they're just really into fitness.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I for one, look forward to the next day or
- 39:29Speaker 1: the first day I go to the gym and I
- 39:31Speaker 1: see someone doing bear crawls on a treadmill while dressed
- 39:35Speaker 1: like a bear.
- 39:38Speaker 2: I you know what, I I agree with you. I
- 39:41Speaker 2: am all for it.
- 39:42Speaker 1: If you're going to do it, do it one hundred percent.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And uh you know, I hope see people you know
- 39:50Speaker 2: doing it along the streets. Oh yeah, you know.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I I guarantee, I guarantee if you bear a crawl
- 40:01Speaker 1: everywhere you go, no one will ever mug you.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I'll take that, you know, because you.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Are going to be way too weird for someone to
- 40:13Speaker 1: jack you. They'd be like, uh oh, I'm not not
- 40:15Speaker 1: messing with that guy.
- 40:16Speaker 2: All right, next time you come to town, I'll have
- 40:19Speaker 2: you do it my long eater springs and we'll see
- 40:21Speaker 2: how that goes.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Can we choose a different street?
- 40:29Speaker 2: You said you wouldn't be mugged?
- 40:34Speaker 1: I mean, my original statement is still true. I just
- 40:38Speaker 1: don't want to be inviting any other type of muggy.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they may not take your wallet.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Just might take my ass cherry okay for all things
- 40:51Speaker 1: Treehouse but a Treehouse on air dot com. You can
- 40:53Speaker 1: also find and follow us on social media for the show.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It's at Treehouse on air. For me, it's at the

- 41:00Speaker 1: will see you tomorrow right here inside the Treehouse
