- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:19Hey friends, thank you so much for tuning in.
- 0:22I love some of these topics that I get to talk to with some of our guests.
- 0:26I was just talking with Brian Thomas before we got on and sometimes I have authors on
- 0:31the podcast and so the content is focused on the book and we talk about that and whatever
- 0:36topic that might be from a biblical perspective, but sometimes with everything that's going
- 0:41on in the country politically, culturally, especially with the Republican National Convention
- 0:48last week and what happened with President Trump.
- 0:51But everything else, JD Vance, we haven't had a chance to talk a lot about him.
- 0:56So we're going to talk about that today with my guest Brian Thomas and also we're going
- 1:00to talk about the fact that Democrat policies are wreaking havoc on the nation and the church.
- 1:08Also why black Christians and professing Christians can still support the Democrat party.
- 1:17We want to challenge them on this because we, Brian and I and others believe that's idolatry.
- 1:24If you're a Christian, you're putting something else above God and above his word because
- 1:31I mean, not that the Republicans are all angels and everything and their platform is perfect
- 1:36by any stretch, but there's really no contrast.
- 1:39Let's bring in Brian Thomas the website blessings to israel.com blessings to israel.com and his
- 1:46YouTube channel.
- 1:47I encourage you guys to go subscribe to discerning the times podcast discerning the times
- 1:53podcast with my brother Brian Thomas.
- 1:56So so good to see you.
- 1:57Thanks for coming back on World View Matters.
- 1:59Hey, thank you, David.
- 2:00Always great to speak with you.
- 2:02Yeah, no, let's get this out of the way right now.
- 2:04Your wife didn't need it was supposed to be with us today.
- 2:08She's going to get a kick out of that, but I know your daughter is sick, right?
- 2:11So that's, that's totally understandable, but just had to give her a hard time right
- 2:15off the bat.
- 2:16Yeah, I think what we'll do next time is we'll just have her on solo and I'll, I'll
- 2:21just want to stay back next time.
- 2:23All right.
- 2:24Well, shout out to her.
- 2:26I mean, you are one flesh brother.
- 2:28What, what you do?
- 2:29I love what you talk about.
- 2:30I love the stances that you take.
- 2:31And I'm sure you have a godly woman behind you saying, as long as it's biblical, I support
- 2:37my husband.
- 2:38So, you know, kudos to her.
- 2:40So we touched on this the last time we had you on.
- 2:43And by the way, friends, anytime we have a guest on that you want to hear more from,
- 2:47we now have a search option at worldviewmatters.tv upper right hand corner there.
- 2:53I think there's a magnifying glass or whatever it is.
- 2:55You can type in anyone's name.
- 2:57This is Brian Thomas that we have on today.
- 2:59So so many things we wanted to talk about.
- 3:02We will get to this fascinating article from Rand Paul over at his sub stack.
- 3:08It's called time for a summer of liberty.
- 3:11And he wanted to end the Fauci DEI and cultural Marxism and just focus on patriotism, Christianity,
- 3:21people engaging in the political process because I think conservatives and good people have
- 3:27been disillusioned by what's happening in DC.
- 3:31And here we are, Brian, another big election in November.
- 3:34Give me your overall take and thoughts.
- 3:36Whatever comes to mind, no right or wrong answer here, November 2024, big election.
- 3:42President Trump and JD Vance may not even know who they're running against at this point.
- 3:48But you're take the Republican National Convention just took place and assassination attempt
- 3:53on President Trump.
- 3:54I mean, these are historic moments and we're in a very interesting season and year where
- 3:59Christians have to pay attention.
- 4:01Go ahead, share whatever's on your heart.
- 4:03Yeah, David.
- 4:04We are in a very interesting season.
- 4:06I sort of look at it.
- 4:07We're at a point right now where there's sort of a fork in the road to turn either right
- 4:12or left sort of speak.
- 4:14And I think that it's a time that we really is, especially as Christians, need to make
- 4:19a stand.
- 4:20What are we really going to stand for?
- 4:21Are we going to be a voice?
- 4:23Because as you said, we have this election coming up and one of the things I want to say,
- 4:27David, is I hear from people that give me grief sometimes when I talk about politics.
- 4:32They say our faith and trust is not in a politician, is not in politics.
- 4:36And I say, listen folks, ultimately our faith and trust is in Jesus Christ.
- 4:40We know that.
- 4:41That's a given.
- 4:42But we are called by him to be salt and light.
- 4:45So to be salt and light, you have to participate.
- 4:48You can't check out and sit on the sidelines.
- 4:51And that is what we as believers are called to do.
- 4:55So as we look at things that are happening right now, again, when you look at what's
- 5:00happening, the attempted assassination on Trump, again, Biden, we don't know whether
- 5:06he's going to be an eraser or not.
- 5:08One thing that gives me encouragement is I do see that there is a pushback that is happening.
- 5:14In terms of we see companies like the tractor supply company, John Deere, they have decided
- 5:20to walk back their DEI initiatives.
- 5:24So I know a lot of people, I hear from people that say they are really tired of all this
- 5:27woke agenda that is being pushed.
- 5:31And so I do see the pushback.
- 5:33But I think that as believers, especially Christians, we need to lead the way in really
- 5:37standing up and say, we're going to stand for our convictions and really try to get
- 5:41this country back to be in the nation that God has called us to be.
- 5:46You mentioned the wokeness and the DEI.
- 5:49And I just had Cheryl Chumley of the Washington Times journalist and she's an author.
- 5:54She was just on a couple of days ago here on the pocket.
- 5:57She was in Milwaukee for the convention and we talked about the secret service failures.
- 6:05And she shared some insights on that.
- 6:06We talked about that and the DEI push even by government, well, that shouldn't surprise
- 6:13us.
- 6:14But Brian, let me get your take on that too because we can talk about anything we want
- 6:19to today.
- 6:20So you've got women that are much shorter in stature, not as trained as a man, maybe
- 6:29with a weapon, maybe in other areas, not to say all women couldn't do this.
- 6:34But it was a glaring problem when it came to the assassination attempt and the aftermath
- 6:40of getting former President Donald Trump into the vehicle, one of the women there was
- 6:47fumbling with her gun.
- 6:48She was like five, six, five, five, five, six, roughly I'm estimating.
- 6:53And President Trump is six three.
- 6:56You're not going to be able to cover him and protect him.
- 6:59And that's just one of the many things I noticed.
- 7:02But back to the DEI problem, how do we get here where we're trying to get whether it's
- 7:09race or gender or, you know, we're trying to click all the boxes, but we're not getting
- 7:15the most qualified people, your thoughts.
- 7:17Yeah, you're so right, David.
- 7:19You need the person that is most qualified.
- 7:22We need to get away from all this stuff of trying to appease people and to give everyone
- 7:27equity.
- 7:28And I tell people, like, listen, folks, when we get into the kingdom of Christ in eternity,
- 7:34it's not going to be equity.
- 7:35The scripture makes that very clear that that some are going to rule over more than others.
- 7:40Some are going to have more rewards than others because of what we did with what he gave
- 7:44us.
- 7:45And here today, and again, as to your point, is nothing against women.
- 7:49But the unfortunate thing of, I think I've heard the director has heard initiative to
- 7:54have 30% of the secret service to be female by certain year for years from now.
- 7:59But that type of thing may have caused Trump's life because these women, they are smaller.
- 8:07So they can't physically cover him as you said.
- 8:09I think Donald Trump's probably at least twice the weight and size as a couple of those
- 8:14women.
- 8:15And so they couldn't physically move them, even if they needed to.
- 8:19So you want the person that can do the job.
- 8:21And we really need to put aside all of this stuff of trying to make things equity.
- 8:27But the thing about it is, that's all rooted in Marxism, socialism.
- 8:32And that is the satanic deception that is behind it.
- 8:36Weight in comes and he tries to portray things as if it's good and as if it's light.
- 8:42And for those that have discernment, you can see that.
- 8:45But a lot of people, unfortunately, do not have the discernment to see the deception behind
- 8:51it.
- 8:52And what you end up getting is people who can't do the job.
- 8:54And when you're in secret service, listen, I want the best person.
- 8:58I want someone that's big enough, strong enough if they have to pick me up and manhandle
- 9:03me to get me to safety.
- 9:05I want someone that can do that.
- 9:07Unfortunately, those women could not.
- 9:09And the thing is, David, God wired us differently.
- 9:12And that has not taken anything away from a woman.
- 9:15God gave women certain gifts.
- 9:17He gave me in certain gifts.
- 9:18When I travel places, when I go out to locations with my wife, my family, I am constantly
- 9:25scouring.
- 9:26I'm surveying the scene.
- 9:27I'm looking for exits and I'm looking for different things that could be possible
- 9:32and dangerous to my family.
- 9:35My wife on the other hand, she'll admit she's not doing that and it's not anything against
- 9:39her.
- 9:40But God put it in me and to have a sense of protector, to be the protector, to secure.
- 9:46And women tend to be more wired as the nurturer, the caring one.
- 9:50Again, doesn't mean they're not exceptions to that.
- 9:52There are exceptions.
- 9:53But generally speaking, that is how God designed things.
- 9:57And if we stick with God's design, things work out fine most of the time.
- 10:01But unfortunately, things like DEI is just unsettling in that.
- 10:06And it's all about Satan's goal in trying to disrupt God order, God's order in the way
- 10:11I think.
- 10:12That's right.
- 10:13Exactly.
- 10:14Well spoken, brother.
- 10:15By the way, I wanted to get you.
- 10:16One of the things we wanted to talk about is what are you sensing in the black community regarding
- 10:22politics, regarding, have they been, have their eyes been opening?
- 10:27Are more people starting to awaken to the fact where the Democrat party says one thing,
- 10:32but they're really not helping the black community.
- 10:34But before I do that, I just want to share a quote from a great, another great article
- 10:37by Chris Rufo, a compromised secret service.
- 10:40He said the agency has sacrificed its basic mission on the altar of DEI.
- 10:46And he said this is the official policy.
- 10:49The secret service openly boasts that it prioritizes recruiting women candidates and
- 10:55has formulated an affirmative action plan to increase the number of women, LGBT, Native
- 11:02Americans, and other identity groups.
- 11:04And again, it's so disappointing because they're checking all the boxes and it's really
- 11:08not, it's hurting more than it's helping.
- 11:11And hopefully it won't cost someone's life it already has.
- 11:16But Brian, so the black community, brother.
- 11:20I was very disappointed to see even after eight years of Obama Biden, when Trump ran against
- 11:28Hillary Clinton, how many in the African American and the black community were still supporting
- 11:33the leftist, Marxist Democrats.
- 11:36I just don't get it because I know there's a lot of Christians, right?
- 11:41So just share any insights that we might be, that might help us who are scratching our
- 11:45heads about this.
- 11:46Yeah.
- 11:48The unfortunate thing is the Democratic Party really plays into emotion.
- 11:53You know, we try to urge people think critically.
- 11:58Look at the issues.
- 11:59Don't get caught up on emotion.
- 12:01The unfortunate stain on our society and we all admit that yes, there was racism, there
- 12:06was slavery in our nation's history.
- 12:09That's something that you can't just ignore that, it dismissed that, that it happened.
- 12:13Yes, it did happen.
- 12:14But we've moved so far past that.
- 12:16We have to look at where God has brought us to now.
- 12:18There's so many opportunities for blacks in this nation.
- 12:22God has blessed us tremendously.
- 12:24And we try to get people focused on that.
- 12:26But instead, there are a lot that want to hold on to the past to what happened a couple
- 12:30of hundred years ago.
- 12:32And they feed on that emotion and there are people who they do not want to let that go.
- 12:37They want to hold on to it.
- 12:39And the Democratic Party really uses that to their advantage.
- 12:42They play to that emotion.
- 12:44And when you look back at what happened with Johnson, Lyndon Johnson, when the welfare programs
- 12:50came in, that was done as a thing to say, okay, we want to help those who are disadvantaged.
- 12:55I'm all for helping people.
- 12:56But when you put a stipulation that well, the only way you can get this money is that there
- 13:01must not be a father in the home.
- 13:04Then the effect that it had on the black community was well, families began to break up.
- 13:08They continue to have it children.
- 13:11But in order to get this government money, then fathers were pushed out of the home.
- 13:16And to the point that today, we're at almost 80% of children are being born to fatherless
- 13:22homes.
- 13:23And it's just having a detrimental effect.
- 13:27But to think about it as David, I go through things like I point out things like abortion.
- 13:31I point out things like when it comes to same sex marriage, things that people can really
- 13:36relate to.
- 13:37And a lot of blacks that go to church every Sunday, they say, no, I don't agree with those
- 13:41things.
- 13:42But if you don't agree with those things, why then are you still with this party?
- 13:47And so they'll start to think about, well, you know, things economically and things of
- 13:50that nature.
- 13:51And I said, okay, well, if you want to come at it from that angle, show me where the policies
- 13:57of the Democratic Party have been successful.
- 13:59When you look at things like education, I mean, you can just go down the list, school
- 14:04choice, education in no places, do you see success?
- 14:08When you look at cities like Baltimore, Chicago, Seattle, Democrat Party ran cities.
- 14:16And these cities are, they have some of the worst crime rates in the nation.
- 14:19And you don't see this economic prosperity.
- 14:23The great thing about it is I do see people waking up, polls are showing that a lot of
- 14:27blacks, well, maybe I shouldn't say a lot.
- 14:29There is a number of blacks, primarily black men that are now supporting Donald Trump.
- 14:35It seems as though the black women haven't moved away from the Democratic Party, but more
- 14:39black men are.
- 14:40So I do think people's eyes are waking up.
- 14:42People are looking at it and saying, okay, inflation, look at what it was under Trump,
- 14:47look at what it is now under Biden.
- 14:49And they're making changes in their political ideology as a result.
- 14:55Well, we've got to take a pause, brother, but I think for the women, I'll tell you that's
- 15:01almost a century now of great evil marketing by Margaret Sanger and her ilk that the
- 15:08Planned Parenthood and the abortion movements trying to abort even black babies, inner cities,
- 15:13that's where most of the Planned Parenthoods are, that it's a compassionate thing.
- 15:17They're trying to help the black community.
- 15:19And man, they've been sold to Bill of Goods.
- 15:21And here we are 100 years later, and it's hard to undo or to reeducate.
- 15:26We've got to take a brief pause, we'll break back with Brian Thomas on World View Matters.

- 16:37WorldViewMatters.tv, if you missed any of that. But Brian Thomas is our guest, the website,
- 16:43BlessingsToIsrael.com. BlessingsToIsrael.com. So Brian, let's talk about that briefly before we
- 16:49get back into politics, the three P's, policies, platforms, and procedures, because we've been
- 16:57duped into making it out about personality, right? Trump or Biden or whatever, the people,
- 17:02but no, look at the policies. Anyway, blessings to Israel, we talked about this last time you
- 17:08were on, but that actually is very important to God's heart. Why did you decide to have a
- 17:12ministry with that name? Why is that important to you? Yeah, it's so important, David. When we
- 17:17got the call to ministry, we being my wife and I, one of the things that God placed on my heart
- 17:22was a love for Israel. I was sitting one day in the living room with my son. He was less than a
- 17:26year old at the time. And he was playing and I was watching. It was either the 700 Club or one
- 17:32of those type of programs. And they were showing Jews returning, Aliyah. They were landing on the
- 17:39plane in Israel. And as they came off the plane, they would kiss the tarmac. And I just
- 17:46willed up with emotion inside of me. My eyes actually started feeling with tears because I said,
- 17:51here is Bible prophecy being fulfilled, right? Before my eyes, God said that he would bring them
- 17:56back to their land again. He said it would happen in unbelief, but it would be one of the precursors.
- 18:02To the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And what God put it on my heart was to
- 18:08emphasize Israel. Tell the people about Israel. Look at Israel because I'm coming again. Israel
- 18:13is God's prophetic time clock. So we have a strong love and passion in our hearts for the nation
- 18:19of Israel. Praise God, brother. Thank you. Christians that understand the Bible that are not
- 18:25Biblically illiterate. I pray you do support Israel. And before we get a little bit more into
- 18:32this article, talk a little bit about the convention last week. And maybe a few concerns and just
- 18:38things that we want to know more information about. I want to quote this article. By the way,
- 18:42that Rand Paul, he's one of the people I follow on substach, Chris Rufo, Cheryl Trumbly,
- 18:48so many other good ones. But he said the fact is that America was founded on Judeo Christian
- 18:54values. Put another way, God is the bedrock on which America stands. While America did not have
- 19:02a Christian founding in a sense of creating a theocracy, its founding was deeply shaped by Christian
- 19:09morals and truth. So Brian, it's surprising, but it's disappointing. You see both major parties,
- 19:20the Democrats left the reservation us long ago, a half a century ago. It's not the same my great
- 19:27grandparents were Democrats, but it was a different party. It represented different things.
- 19:33But now we're talking about the Republican party. Let's talk about what we want to support,
- 19:38but we have some concerns about JD Vance in his speech last week didn't say anything. I believe
- 19:44about abortion or child sacrifice. That is one of the key planks in the Democrat platform.
- 19:51And of course the LGBTQ indoctrination. I realize he only has so much time and he's introducing
- 19:56himself to the world, right? Who's this guy that's going to be president Trump's running mate?
- 20:00But what are your thoughts? Are we being too nitpicky when we want them to speak on these important
- 20:07moral issues? No, we're not being nitpicky at all David. It is disheartening. I did see
- 20:14the new platform and I was very disappointed that language is moving away from protecting
- 20:20the life of the unborn. To me, a statement is as simple as we do not support late-term abortion
- 20:27is not sufficient. The Republican party has had protection of life for I think over 40 years
- 20:33in the platform. And my concern is that it is going to alienate pro-lifers and Christians.
- 20:41So we have to really make a decision and I think what we need to do as believers is to put
- 20:46the pressure on the leaders of the Republican party to say no these are the things that we need
- 20:52to stand for because as you said we see the it's around the clock commercials ads that are running
- 20:58from Democrats saying we are the party of abortion. And to me it's very easy for the Republican
- 21:05party to push back on that to say well we are the party of life but there's a movement away
- 21:11and that's not good even the language concerning the marriage. Things are being watered down
- 21:17and it's not good. And here's the thing David is we as believers in Christ we have to look at the
- 21:22Bible as the authority. The Bible is our authority and how we make decisions. There are people out
- 21:29there that instead want to look at personal opinions and we need the pull pits to stand up
- 21:35and to teach the people. We need to combat this by what a spository preaching and teaching going
- 21:41through what the Scriptures have to say. When you go through the Scriptures you want to see the
- 21:45clearly the Bible says well God hates the shedding of innocent blood. It will clearly tell you what
- 21:50God thinks about marriage that is between a man and a woman. But I was recently on a text string
- 21:58of a group text and the topic about politics came up and that was a pastor on that group text that
- 22:04made the statement. He said well I have no problem with churches and Christians talking about
- 22:09politics but I don't think the pool pit is the place forward. He said I think it should come
- 22:14in a place outside of the worship service on Sundays and I say no that problem. It needs to come
- 22:21from the pool pit because then that's where you have your largest audience and the problem is that
- 22:25that is why people can sit in a Sunday service and hear a cushiony sermon and then go out
- 22:31the next day and support a BLM rally or vote for a Democrat that says well we believe you should
- 22:38kill unborn children. Yeah we really need to put pressure I think on the leaders of the Republican
- 22:45party to stick to the values that their core base believes in or else. They're going to lose a lot
- 22:51of people. That's very common by the way what you just shared because they're very loyal maybe some
- 22:56pastors are very loyal to the gospel and they want to stay true to God's word but a lot of churches
- 23:02don't have a Sunday evening service or maybe a Wednesday evening service so if they're not going
- 23:06to talk about these things on a Sunday morning when are they going to talk so what they're saying
- 23:12it's not appropriate period they like to say okay it's not appropriate maybe for Sunday morning
- 23:17which I disagree with because people need to hear by the way Andy Woods a couple of Sundays
- 23:22ago Andy Woods did a phenomenal sermon it was the Sunday after the assassination attempt on
- 23:27President Trump friends I encourage you guys to go find that sermon and watch it Andy Woods
- 23:32Dr. Andy Woods Ministries so let's talk about social justice because that plays into this you
- 23:37mentioned BLM which I always say Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation because they're China
- 23:43driven Marxist driven that's what they are they're not just a it wasn't an organic movement in America
- 23:48that sprung up because of racism by the police force no this was well funded George Soros had
- 23:54his hand on this and the popularity of what some would consider the hoax died down after a
- 24:00more of a billion dollars of damage in America but a radical once wrote the issue is never the
- 24:06issue the issue is always the revolution and David Horowitz pointed this out again recently
- 24:15I want to quote this article by Rand Paul he said since these riots even more so leftist
- 24:21activists have worked harder to take over our classrooms I mean they already did but they've even
- 24:27got made more progress workplaces and even our churches in the name of social justice a
- 24:35vacuous phrase with a definition that can morph from situation to situation a relativist dream
- 24:44a realist nightmare and quote so let's talk Brian we're running out of time already social justice
- 24:52this it sounds maybe it sounds good to some but anything you put in front of justice does probably not
- 24:58me it's not biblical justice it's not really God's version or the true version of justice your
- 25:03quick thoughts yeah it's a deception David and it is what it what it happens is it's simply moving
- 25:10us towards Marxism and socialism which leads to communism which is not of God and whenever you're
- 25:17getting on this this movement of social justice you start looking at things and we just look at
- 25:23history the Bolshevik revolution was a great example where it pits the oppress versus the oppressor
- 25:30and what we see here in our nation yes that whole BLM movement is nothing but an excuse in order
- 25:37to push this agenda and I try to get people to see look beyond you have to look beyond what you see
- 25:43because the leaders of BLM they admit it they were trained Marxists so I totally agree the issue
- 25:50is not really the issue they just latch on to whatever controversy to stir the pot to get people
- 25:56all worked up in a frenzy in order to overthrow the current system to lead to communism and David
- 26:02ultimately what that is all doing is pointing to the anti-Christ system um mostly anti-Christ is
- 26:07coming the new world order the one world order it's all satanic and that is what all of this is
- 26:14pointing to but you must have discernment in order to be able to take what is happening says the
- 26:20man with discerning the times YouTube channel Brian hey um but there's so much more information
- 26:27in this article friends that Rand Paul put out last week on his sub stack I we don't have time to
- 26:31go into all of it but but because we're out of time but go to time for a summer of liberty uh
- 26:38Rand Paul and you can subscribe to his source time for a summer I mean he says very true statements
- 26:45that the leftists and the Marxists the democrats behind BLM and other revolution organizations
- 26:50they sought to undermine the Judeo-Christian tradition and so they are promoting anarchy over order
- 26:59and leftist ideology over reason and it goes on but some great words Brian I appreciate you brother
- 27:05I'm thankful that we can connect and continue to do this Lord willing uh your lovely bride will be
