- 1:04Speaker 1: what it's there. For amen today, since we're right the
- 1:09Speaker 1: next day celebrating fathers. Amen. From the time this recording
- 1:12Speaker 1: yesterday was Father's Day, Amen, I think I felt like
- 1:16Speaker 1: we should talk about fatherhood, biblical fatherhood. Amen. Everybody's from
- 1:22Speaker 1: some kind of hood, right, whether you're a woman, motherhood,
- 1:25Speaker 1: If your dad's man is fatherhood right and fatherhood biblical fatherhood.
- 1:32Speaker 1: What does that look like? Amen? If you have a
- 1:34Speaker 1: dad in your life, Amen, you're blessed. My dad went
- 1:38Speaker 1: to be with the Lord when I was only fifteen
- 1:40Speaker 1: years old, and it still hurts me. And I'm in
- 1:42Speaker 1: my fifties, Amen, and it's still I still miss him.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I think that's how the feeling never goes away, but
- 1:49Speaker 1: the feeling of comfort that comes by way of Holy
- 1:51Speaker 1: Spirit next level. Amen. And especially when you find out
- 1:57Speaker 1: that your dad served the Lord, or believing in the
- 2:01Speaker 1: Lord somehow, some way, you start believing and trusting in
- 2:04Speaker 1: the Lord to be able to see your love one,
- 2:08Speaker 1: your love Dad again. Amen. Our father is or should
- 2:14Speaker 1: be a spiritual leader. Biblical fatherhood doesn't mean to dominate
- 2:19Speaker 1: or control, but to serve the way Christ Jesus did
- 2:24Speaker 1: with love and authority, With love and authority, not to dominate,
- 2:29Speaker 1: not to be you know I said this, you better
- 2:32Speaker 1: do that. Not none of that. That's not biblical fatherhood,
- 2:34Speaker 1: that's not biblical spiritual leadership, none of that. But to
- 2:38Speaker 1: serve the way Christ did with love and authority. Love
- 2:44Speaker 1: and authority. We're going to be in Joshua chapter twenty four,
- 2:47Speaker 1: verse number fifteen. That's why we're going to devote some
- 2:50Speaker 1: time there in the scriptures, Amen, to get to where
- 2:54Speaker 1: God wants us to go today on the morning devot.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So let's pray first. After we pray with shut us
- 2:58Speaker 1: out for like sixty seconds, and on the other side
- 3:01Speaker 1: of those sixty seconds, we'll get right into our topic fatherhood,
- 3:05Speaker 1: biblical fatherhood. And if you're a woman and your mom,
- 3:08Speaker 1: if you're a sister, if you're a brother, if you're
- 3:11Speaker 1: a child, amen, if you're a single, if you don't
- 3:14Speaker 1: have any children, this is still for you, Amen, because
- 3:17Speaker 1: once we learn what biblical fatherhood looks like, and we'll
- 3:21Speaker 1: start recognizing the men who are living that way. If
- 3:25Speaker 1: you don't know the truth about biblical fatherhood, how would
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know what's right and what's wrong. So that's why
- 3:31Speaker 1: we have the scriptures. Amen, fatherhood. So Father, I thank you,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, that you are the ultimate father in heaven.
- 3:39Speaker 1: You're the father who loves by way of who you are.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You proved them in scriptures. You showed us all through
- 3:45Speaker 1: your word. Thank you for sending the son who saves,
- 3:48Speaker 1: which is the Lord Jesus. And thank you Jesus for
- 3:50Speaker 1: giving us your Holy Spirit which guides us on the
- 3:53Speaker 1: rest of these days until we meet you in the air.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I thank you, Lord God for today. Thank you, Lord God,
- 3:59Speaker 1: provide every single thing that's necessary for us to continue
- 4:03Speaker 1: this ministry, to continue going on in faith and knowing
- 4:06Speaker 1: that you are with us and in us and working
- 4:07Speaker 1: through us. I pray for my friends whose son and
- 4:12Speaker 1: needs a miracle in Jesus holy name. I pray Lord
- 4:15Speaker 1: God that you would continue to transfer your blood of
- 4:19Speaker 1: healing into this child that we are knowing in the
- 4:23Speaker 1: Lehigh Valley, that people know who we're praying for right now.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I pray peace over the family. I pray peace and
- 4:30Speaker 1: healing over the sun. And I pray Lord God that
- 4:32Speaker 1: you would just continue to do what you continue to
- 4:35Speaker 1: do miraculous works and heal this loved child that's loved
- 4:40Speaker 1: by so many. Lo God, that you will continue to
- 4:42Speaker 1: bless and heal this child. In Jesus Holy Name, I pray,
- 4:47Speaker 1: Lord God, that you will guide, guard and protect us
- 4:50Speaker 1: as we move about our way, and that you will
- 4:53Speaker 1: help us be of a sound mind, and that we
- 4:55Speaker 1: will be clear in our thinking, and that we will
- 4:58Speaker 1: not listen to the stranger's voice, but listen to the
- 5:00Speaker 1: voice of God, and we will hear what you're saying
- 5:03Speaker 1: and do what you want us to do. And the
- 5:06Speaker 1: name of Jesus, our prayers by faith, knowing that you
- 5:08Speaker 1: hear these prayers and you are able to answer these
- 5:11Speaker 1: prayers according to every single individual situation. In Jesus Holy Name,
- 5:16Speaker 1: my prayer is by faith, and those who agree we
- 5:17Speaker 1: say amen to the Amen. So let's go forward. Ladies
- 5:21Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Thank you so much for coming through again.
- 5:24Speaker 1: All the groups that allow me to share this on
- 5:26Speaker 1: their group pages, thank you so much for sharing. Also,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you could also highlight the link amen and share the
- 5:35Speaker 1: link to people through be a text the people that
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know as well. That will help out too. So
- 5:40Speaker 1: let's go for it. Sixty seconds. Help me share this album.
- 5:43Speaker 1: When we come back, we'll get right into today's topic, fatherhood,
- 5:46Speaker 1: Biblical fatherhood today on the morning, dev Ibby, right back, Amen,
- 7:05Speaker 1: it sounds like I got an owl that's owling outside.
- 7:09Speaker 1: If they do owling outside of the studio, it's so funny. Fatherhood,
- 7:15Speaker 1: fatherhood today in the morning, Devo. Let's see what the
- 7:17Speaker 1: word of God says about it. So important, What an
- 7:20Speaker 1: important role, what a humbling role. Amen, I'm honored to
- 7:24Speaker 1: be a dad. Yeah, even though I screwed it up
- 7:27Speaker 1: before christ I believe that I really messed up. Amen.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I was admitting that to my son. And I have
- 7:35Speaker 1: a thirty two year old son, thirty two, thirty three,
- 7:39Speaker 1: thirty four. My math is all messed up. He's in
- 7:42Speaker 1: his thirties. Amen, in his early thirties. Amen, he's gonna
- 7:45Speaker 1: kill me like that. You don't even know my age,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you know. It's just that it's early in the morning
- 7:48Speaker 1: and I can't think of the year. But he's in
- 7:53Speaker 1: his thirties. And I was texting him admitting to him that,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you know, I own up to my failure. On he
- 7:59Speaker 1: was grown up, didn't know the Lord. Amen. Then when
- 8:02Speaker 1: I got saved, he was still young, and then it
- 8:06Speaker 1: was just trying to catch up getting things right. Amen.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It wasn't to me in my humble experience and my
- 8:14Speaker 1: humble opinion. I think I failed. But God has got
- 8:17Speaker 1: a second chances, Amen, and he's allowing me to try
- 8:22Speaker 1: to restore things Amen, that should have been restored a
- 8:27Speaker 1: long time ago. But God has got a grace and mercy. Amen.
- 8:31Speaker 1: And I love my son and I'm proud of him.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He's a dad now too, so I'm so proud that
- 8:36Speaker 1: God allowed him to experience fatherhood as well. So shouts
- 8:39Speaker 1: to all the dad's out there, Happy Father's Day. Every
- 8:42Speaker 1: day is Father's Day, right, just like every day's Mother's Day.
- 8:45Speaker 1: But I you know, it's cool that we live in
- 8:47Speaker 1: a country that celebrates parents. You don't get that in
- 8:51Speaker 1: a lot of places in the world. Right. You can
- 8:53Speaker 1: say whatever you want to say about the United States
- 8:55Speaker 1: of America, but at least we get certain things right
- 8:58Speaker 1: and honoring and expecting parents. I believe that's very important,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and I believe it's biblical. Amen. Amen. Sister Joanne, I
- 9:07Speaker 1: see you, Good morning, God blessed you. Welcome back to
- 9:09Speaker 1: the morning eve with my sister and my friend. How
- 9:11Speaker 1: was your Father's day yesterday? I hope it was good.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It was okay, Amen, I'm blessed. My wife took me
- 9:17Speaker 1: to go eat. My mother in law paid the bill. Amen,
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I was able to share that day with my
- 9:23Speaker 1: wife and my children, my two daughters. Amen. Maybe hopefully
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'll see my son soon during the summer, but and
- 9:32Speaker 1: my grandchildren. I was blessed. Can't complain. Wonderful church service,
- 9:37Speaker 1: a good preaching and teaching by my pastor, and it
- 9:41Speaker 1: was just great all the way around. I hardly complain.
- 9:44Speaker 1: If you see me complain, that means it's something that's
- 9:47Speaker 1: been festering and I haven't been able to let go
- 9:49Speaker 1: for a long time. But I'm glad that I was
- 9:51Speaker 1: able to share another day with my family. Amen. I'm
- 9:54Speaker 1: humble and I'm grateful. So shout out to all the
- 9:56Speaker 1: dads out there that are trying their best to provide,
- 10:00Speaker 1: trying the best to do the right thing for their
- 10:02Speaker 1: wives and for their baby's mother. How the situation is.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But let's try to show our kids that there is
- 10:09Speaker 1: a difference between unbiblical fatherhood and biblical fatherhood. And I'm
- 10:13Speaker 1: gonna try to share that with a little time that
- 10:15Speaker 1: we have. Thank you for asking that new facts, but
- 10:18Speaker 1: even not a lot of people ask men. People think,
- 10:21Speaker 1: oh Sam's always busy. Amen, No, not really. Amen. What
- 10:26Speaker 1: I do is I stay focused on what God is
- 10:29Speaker 1: doing in my life, and I try to share as
- 10:31Speaker 1: much of the Gospel that I know, much of the
- 10:34Speaker 1: Bible that I know, with everybody that I come across.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Not everybody reaches out. So I'm so grateful that people
- 10:40Speaker 1: do reach out when they do. Amen. Fatherhood, biblical fatherhood.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Let's go for it. Let's see. Do I have everything
- 10:49Speaker 1: up and running? Yes, everything, It's like it's up and running.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm sure of that. Okay, that's good thinking that I
- 10:57Speaker 1: forgot something, but it looks like I did it. Got
- 10:59Speaker 1: everything going an fatherhood. Fatherhood. Man, if you're a child,
- 11:06Speaker 1: you have a dad. I know, not everybody gets to
- 11:10Speaker 1: meet that dad. I have. My older brother met his
- 11:14Speaker 1: dad late in life. My younger brother never met his dad.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So you know, I'm not taking that lightly and not
- 11:19Speaker 1: putting it out there like, oh that's okay, it's not okay.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I believe fathers have a role to play, very important
- 11:25Speaker 1: role to play, especially in young men's life. I can
- 11:28Speaker 1: only speak for men because I'm a man, and also
- 11:31Speaker 1: for young woman's life, like for girls as well. I
- 11:34Speaker 1: have two daughters, so try my best. That's why I'm
- 11:37Speaker 1: looking into this because I care about my kids, and
- 11:41Speaker 1: you should care about your children too, especially if your
- 11:43Speaker 1: dad Joshua twenty four, Verse number fifteen. Joshua twenty four fifteen.
- 11:49Speaker 1: The Bible says, if it is unacceptable in your sight
- 11:54Speaker 1: to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom
- 12:00Speaker 1: you will serve, whether the gods which your father served
- 12:06Speaker 1: that were on the other side of the river, or
- 12:09Speaker 1: the gods of the Amorites in whose land you live.
- 12:14Speaker 1: But as for me and my house, we will serve
- 12:19Speaker 1: the Lord. Amen. So you have to look it up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Read josh for Chap To twenty four to get the
- 12:26Speaker 1: whole chapter, to get the context of why we're talking
- 12:29Speaker 1: about other gods and other territories and what the river
- 12:32Speaker 1: is all about. If you're one of those people who
- 12:35Speaker 1: want to know, hey, there is more to this than
- 12:37Speaker 1: what the scripture is saying right now. They got to
- 12:39Speaker 1: be more to it. There is a man. That's why
- 12:42Speaker 1: it suggest that people read the whole scripture, the whole
- 12:45Speaker 1: chapter every time we do the morning Devo, so that
- 12:47Speaker 1: way you could get a better background of where we landed.
- 12:51Speaker 1: We're landing in Verse number twenty five, and the most
- 12:56Speaker 1: popular version of this scripture is that people, we say,
- 13:00Speaker 1: as for me and the Lord, as for me and
- 13:02Speaker 1: my house, we will serve the Lord. But if you notice,
- 13:05Speaker 1: he probably read that a thousand times, heard it a
- 13:08Speaker 1: thousand times. But if you notice the way this is phrased.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But as for me, Joshua said, as for me, it
- 13:15Speaker 1: starts with the head. It starts with the leader. It
- 13:18Speaker 1: starts with the man. As for me, right, we will
- 13:23Speaker 1: serve the Lord. Because if you took out me and
- 13:27Speaker 1: my house, it starts for me, as for me, I
- 13:31Speaker 1: will serve the Lord. As for me and my house,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we will serve the Lord. See. So it starts with
- 13:36Speaker 1: the man of the house to show and declare that
- 13:40Speaker 1: he's going to serve the Lord. And when he goes
- 13:43Speaker 1: in his house, he's going to serve like the Lord. Right,
- 13:46Speaker 1: and that means him be the man and my house,
- 13:51Speaker 1: we will serve the Lord. It's a humbling thing, honoring thing, Amen,
- 13:56Speaker 1: biblical thing that's a characteristic of a Biblical father, Amen,
- 14:02Speaker 1: serving serving. There's been some kind of weird graduation going
- 14:07Speaker 1: on in church churches and leadership that some people stop
- 14:13Speaker 1: serving in certain areas because they feel like they graduated.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I don't do that no more. But in all actuality,
- 14:20Speaker 1: we serve. Amen. If you want to be a leader
- 14:23Speaker 1: of your home, you should be the servant of the
- 14:25Speaker 1: home as well. Amen. Good morning, brother Jonathan, I see
- 14:28Speaker 1: you man. Happy Father's Day to you as well. Thank
- 14:31Speaker 1: you so much, God bless you. Welcome back to the morning.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Devote my brother and my friend. Amen. So yeah, man,
- 14:38Speaker 1: fatherhood is humbling. Man willing to be a dad, It's
- 14:43Speaker 1: not easy. There's no textbook. I wish there was a
- 14:46Speaker 1: book that I could have read. Right. It probably was,
- 14:49Speaker 1: but I wasn't. I wasn't looking for it. Unfortunately. When
- 14:54Speaker 1: I first had my first kid, I was just looking
- 14:56Speaker 1: to figure out how I'm not gonna pay the rent
- 15:01Speaker 1: for where we were living. Then. Of course I was
- 15:04Speaker 1: doing all the other stuff that was really not benefiting
- 15:08Speaker 1: my son or my son's mom at the time. But
- 15:11Speaker 1: I was young, I was starting out in life. I
- 15:14Speaker 1: didn't know any better. Amen. It still bothers me today
- 15:17Speaker 1: because I know what I was doing back then, and
- 15:20Speaker 1: it wasn't benefiting my son at all. Amen. That's why
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm in my fifties. My son is in his thirties.
- 15:26Speaker 1: And I'm still letting him know. Listen, I'm sorry, I'm
- 15:30Speaker 1: ful failing you when you were young in your earlier years. Amen.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I'm man enough to admit it. Amen. Some people like
- 15:36Speaker 1: to just ignore their past and just shove it under
- 15:39Speaker 1: the rug, or not even come to the conclusion, or
- 15:42Speaker 1: not even ask their children to forgive them for their
- 15:45Speaker 1: past wrongs. Amen. But as for me, as for me,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I served the Lord. As for me and my house,
- 15:52Speaker 1: we will serve the Lord. Amen. Because now God has
- 15:55Speaker 1: revealed himself in my life as a dad. Amen. And
- 15:59Speaker 1: now I know much better than when I knew without
- 16:02Speaker 1: knowing God. Amen. It seems like a cop out of excuse.
- 16:06Speaker 1: But I didn't know Christ. I didn't have any direction.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I didn't have a good example. I had a good dad, Amen.
- 16:12Speaker 1: But even in that, he wasn't married to my mom. Right.
- 16:16Speaker 1: So I thought when I, you know, hooked up with
- 16:18Speaker 1: a girl, I think I thought that was normal because
- 16:20Speaker 1: I saw that in my life. Amen. It's not an excuse.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And looks like I lost my my notes here, but
- 16:30Speaker 1: it's not an excuse. It's not an excuse, ladies and gentlemen.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'll just go to leave itlate that Amen. Some things
- 16:38Speaker 1: happened right there else and you start looking at it
- 16:43Speaker 1: and you're like, why did I do that? Because a
- 16:48Speaker 1: person that doesn't know the father, the father in heaven
- 16:52Speaker 1: won't even have a clue of how to be a
- 16:55Speaker 1: father here on earth. Amen, we have a father who
- 16:59Speaker 1: loves us. He loved us so much that he sent
- 17:02Speaker 1: himself in a form of a man named Jesus, a
- 17:05Speaker 1: man as the son of God, to save us, not
- 17:08Speaker 1: to condemn us, not to destroy us, not to accuse us,
- 17:12Speaker 1: not to wipe us out, but to save us, rescue
- 17:16Speaker 1: us and give us the born again experience right as
- 17:20Speaker 1: a father. Our spiritual leadership is important. Why because it
- 17:25Speaker 1: has eternal impact, not just temporary impact. You know, you
- 17:31Speaker 1: hear stories of I heard, I heard, I heard good
- 17:34Speaker 1: things and bad things. Like you hear stories about men
- 17:38Speaker 1: that I know that sad man, my dad was x
- 17:40Speaker 1: y Z. He wasn't good, he was this, he was
- 17:43Speaker 1: this and that and it's not good. Then you hear
- 17:45Speaker 1: some good stories about some men that I know that
- 17:47Speaker 1: had good fathers, Amen, that they were like golly fathers man,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and it really impacts. But what impacts eternally if your dad,
- 17:56Speaker 1: if I'm let me. Just put it to me. My
- 17:58Speaker 1: dad was serving the Lord, and when I was growing up,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I didn't see him serving the Lord, but I heard
- 18:05Speaker 1: that he served the Lord. It's a long story, man.
- 18:08Speaker 1: If you want to check out my testimony from the
- 18:10Speaker 1: time of this recording, Manyana. Tomorrow, I'll be at six
- 18:15Speaker 1: hundred West Market Street, seven o'clock PM sharing my testimony
- 18:19Speaker 1: at the Transformed event that we do, I think the
- 18:23Speaker 1: third Tuesday of every month. This is our sixth event. Amen.
- 18:28Speaker 1: We've been doing this in the Lea Valley under them
- 18:31Speaker 1: but abiding branch ministries. Amen. Yeah, come check me out. Man,
- 18:41Speaker 1: if you're in the Lehih Valley all beyond, want to
- 18:44Speaker 1: come check me out, meet and greet a man and
- 18:46Speaker 1: hear my testimony and its entirety. For the time that
- 18:50Speaker 1: I have an event, come check me out Tomorrow, June seventeenth,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I believe it is Amen, seven pm sharp, six one
- 19:00Speaker 1: hundred West Market Street, Bethany United Church in Bethlehem, beautiful
- 19:06Speaker 1: part of Bethlam. Amen. For more information on that, please

- 19:16Speaker 1: the flyer. It's free. Everything about is free. They don't
- 19:20Speaker 1: take any tithe, no donations, no offerings or anything like that.
- 19:24Speaker 1: It's not live streams at all. It's a very personal,
- 19:29Speaker 1: comforting event, a man a welcoming event. You got to
- 19:33Speaker 1: be there to experience it. That's all I'm saying. Amen,
- 19:36Speaker 1: it's very it's put together well. Shout out to Matthew Pratzel,
- 19:44Speaker 1: the founder of Abundant Abiding Branch Ministries. Amen, So let's go.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I hope I'm saying a mystery right because he always
- 19:52Speaker 1: gets me saying you send my ministry wrong. I hope
- 19:54Speaker 1: I'm saying it right. Amen. But look it up. Be
- 19:58Speaker 1: transformed die io, Be transformed dot io. That's the website.
- 20:06Speaker 1: So a father's leadership should be a spiritual leadership that's
- 20:12Speaker 1: going to impact your children. It's gonna impact your family eternally. Right.
- 20:19Speaker 1: If you study the scriptures, you'll see that scriptures affirm
- 20:24Speaker 1: where fathers are engaged spiritually. Children are more likely to
- 20:32Speaker 1: follow Christ in their adulthood if they see an example
- 20:36Speaker 1: of their father serving, they see an example of their
- 20:39Speaker 1: father praying, they see an example of a father connecting,
- 20:43Speaker 1: a father helping, a father of being a part of
- 20:46Speaker 1: the Kingdom of God, a father applying the word of God.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Not just you do this because the word says that,
- 20:52Speaker 1: and never applying that word over his own life. If
- 20:56Speaker 1: I don't, if I don't live out when I'm speaking
- 20:58Speaker 1: in front of my daughters, in front of my son,
- 21:00Speaker 1: even he's still in his thirties, he's still watching Amen,
- 21:04Speaker 1: in front of my wife, it's gonna be useless. Man,
- 21:07Speaker 1: this whole thing about I'm a Christian and you know scriptures,
- 21:11Speaker 1: you do this, you do that in the church, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: then you live file. Don't you realize people see that.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Not only do people see that, but the people who
- 21:19Speaker 1: are influenced by you see it also. And it's discouraging,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and people get confused, and people start leaving churches, and
- 21:28Speaker 1: people start doing X y Z. They confused. Man, I
- 21:32Speaker 1: don't want to be a part of nobody's confusion. I
- 21:34Speaker 1: want to be a part of someone's conquering. Amen and
- 21:38Speaker 1: living a life of faith, especially my family, especially my children. Amen.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And if you're a man of God, a man stand up.
- 21:46Speaker 1: And if you're struggling in your faith, a man go
- 21:48Speaker 1: to a man of God. Right, and let's man up
- 21:51Speaker 1: and let's get together to get into these scriptures and
- 21:54Speaker 1: apply what we know to be true in your life today.
- 21:57Speaker 1: It's never too late. It's never too late to end me.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Used to bombarrow my way of thinking. All you messed
- 22:02Speaker 1: up with your sons. It's too late to try to restore.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It's too late for this too. He used to try
- 22:06Speaker 1: to convince me that I had no chance trying to
- 22:10Speaker 1: restore my relationship with my son. And Devil is a liar.
- 22:13Speaker 1: God is amazing at restoring relationships. God is amazing at redeeming.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Gods are amazing at reconciling. God is amazing at saving
- 22:24Speaker 1: people's lives. Man, he did it for me. He could
- 22:28Speaker 1: do it for you and your relationship with your children.
- 22:31Speaker 1: If that's where you find yourself right now as a dad,
- 22:34Speaker 1: that you messed up right, and that the enemy is
- 22:36Speaker 1: now trying to tell you, oh, remember what you did
- 22:39Speaker 1: when you were like twenty years old, Remember what you did?
- 22:42Speaker 1: And like you're in your thirties, your forties and fifties,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and he's still reminding you of your past. Why Because
- 22:47Speaker 1: he doesn't want you to focus on your future in Christ,
- 22:51Speaker 1: that's why. And he's trying to distract. In Malachi chapter four,
- 22:55Speaker 1: verse number six, the Bible says he would turn the
- 22:57Speaker 1: hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts
- 23:02Speaker 1: of the children to their fathers. Spiritual leadership isn't optional
- 23:07Speaker 1: for Christian fathers. Christian leadership and spiritual leadership for a
- 23:12Speaker 1: dad is essential. Remember when COVID happened and the whole
- 23:17Speaker 1: nation closed down, Amen, And the only people who could
- 23:21Speaker 1: be out there driving and working were the essential workers.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Why because the government felt that it was important for
- 23:28Speaker 1: truckers and people who are delivering meds of the hospitals,
- 23:31Speaker 1: the nurses, the doctors, and the bars and the churches closing.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That's totally worldly, that's totally nonsense. But the essential workers
- 23:41Speaker 1: that were out there doing having important roles to play. Amen.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I was one of them, Thank you Jesus. I was
- 23:47Speaker 1: delivering meds because I knew that was going to be
- 23:49Speaker 1: a boom. I knew that was going to be something
- 23:51Speaker 1: that was necessary, that something that was needed during the
- 23:54Speaker 1: COVID time. So I went out there to serve. Man,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I went out there to serve, kind of like risking it,
- 23:59Speaker 1: all right. But the thing about it is that they
- 24:02Speaker 1: deemed that type of work essential work. And I believe
- 24:07Speaker 1: spiritual fatherhood, Amen, is essential work. And you can see
- 24:11Speaker 1: it all throughout the scriptures. So man, let's not be
- 24:18Speaker 1: too busy right not to get into the word and
- 24:22Speaker 1: not to apply the principles of being a dad or
- 24:25Speaker 1: being a father or a spiritual leader. Some people don't
- 24:28Speaker 1: have children like fleshing blood children. Some people have spiritual children.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I have spiritual sons and I have spiritual daughters. Amen
- 24:37Speaker 1: did I do? I did my best for what I
- 24:39Speaker 1: knew how to do when I was raising them in
- 24:41Speaker 1: the faith. And every now and then I'll get a
- 24:44Speaker 1: call or text every now and then I get to
- 24:47Speaker 1: see what's going on in their lives. Amen. And I'm
- 24:52Speaker 1: just blessed and honored that I was able to apply principles,
- 24:56Speaker 1: biblical principles in my spiritual children's life and also my
- 25:01Speaker 1: flesh and blood children's life. I could do that, Amen.
- 25:04Speaker 1: It's just humbling and honoring. I don't say nothing boastful.
- 25:09Speaker 1: If it wasn't for God and his grace, where would
- 25:11Speaker 1: I be? If it wasn't for good and his grace?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Where would you be? Especially as a man. So all
- 25:15Speaker 1: the women out there that are watching, all the ladies,
- 25:18Speaker 1: young ladies that are looking for you, know your husband.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Make sure your future husband. Ladies, if you're a young lady,
- 25:25Speaker 1: and you're not married yet, make sure your boyfriend or
- 25:29Speaker 1: whatever is a spiritual leader. He might not have it
- 25:33Speaker 1: all together. I don't think we will all never have
- 25:35Speaker 1: it all together on this side of eternity. But at
- 25:38Speaker 1: least he's looking for the one, or he's applying the
- 25:43Speaker 1: one that has it all together in their lives the
- 25:46Speaker 1: Lord Jesus. Amen. That's a good start. And of course, boundaries,
- 25:53Speaker 1: young ladies, put up boundaries. Don't let any man, even
- 25:57Speaker 1: if they say they're a Christian or not a man,
- 25:59Speaker 1: just get in your life and do whatever they want
- 26:03Speaker 1: with you. Am. I'll leave it like that. I'll leave
- 26:05Speaker 1: it PG. Guard your hearts, guard your minds. Make sure
- 26:10Speaker 1: you use discernment. Women have great discernment. I think they're
- 26:13Speaker 1: born with like this discernment. They have like a radar,
- 26:18Speaker 1: more keen in my opinion, than men. But use discernment. Pray,
- 26:23Speaker 1: of course, and ask the Lord if this is the
- 26:25Speaker 1: right one. You don't want to waste time. You don't
- 26:27Speaker 1: want to be dating ten to fifteen guys, amen, and
- 26:30Speaker 1: realize none of them were up to your standards. What
- 26:34Speaker 1: about the one that was trying to follow the Lord
- 26:36Speaker 1: Jesus don't leave that one out. Amen, Really reignite or
- 26:42Speaker 1: reinvestigate that relationship an and see if it was the
- 26:47Speaker 1: right relationship for you. That's all I got to say.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I don't know why I went down that road. That's
- 26:51Speaker 1: for someone. So are spiritual leader? What makes spiritual decisions right?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Lead by example, Live out your faith in everyday life. Pray,
- 27:05Speaker 1: Read the Bible. Can you imagine you say, oh, I
- 27:09Speaker 1: believe in the Lord, and then you don't read the scriptures.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Come on, read the scriptures. It's okay. Read the Bible,
- 27:15Speaker 1: attend church regularly. If you can write and serve others,
- 27:21Speaker 1: that should be like a no brain and to serve others,
- 27:24Speaker 1: especially if you have holy spirit living inside of you.
- 27:27Speaker 1: We should be able to serve with love, serve one another,
- 27:30Speaker 1: and love children and spouses. They'll literally imitate what they
- 27:37Speaker 1: consistently see now, what they see every now and then.
- 27:41Speaker 1: If I came into my home and every now and
- 27:43Speaker 1: then I pray. If I came to my home and
- 27:44Speaker 1: every now and then, I'll do them morning devo. If
- 27:46Speaker 1: I came to my home and every now and then
- 27:48Speaker 1: I feel like a Christian, I'll act like a Christian.
- 27:51Speaker 1: They won't follow that because that's inconsistent. But when I'm consistent,
- 27:54Speaker 1: sooner or later, my spouse, my children, the people around
- 27:58Speaker 1: me will know that I am about my father's business,
- 28:01Speaker 1: and they will consistently see a man of God working
- 28:05Speaker 1: it out. Not just what they hear, but it's about
- 28:09Speaker 1: what they see. Amen. Proverbs twenty verse seven. The righteous
- 28:13Speaker 1: who walks in his integrity, Blessed are his children after him. Amen.
- 28:19Speaker 1: So read, Joshua. Read the scriptures, Amen, for yourself. I
- 28:24Speaker 1: believe we're at twenty four right. Read the whole chapter
- 28:27Speaker 1: for yourself. Amen, and there you can see God's heart
- 28:32Speaker 1: on the matter about fathers. Thank you so much for
- 28:35Speaker 1: hanging out with me for this morning, Devo. I'll send
- 28:38Speaker 1: you all out with a blessing. Yeah, Joshua, twenty four.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I was making sure I had to write scripture. Read
- 28:42Speaker 1: the whole chapter for yourself. God. Bless you all, God
- 28:46Speaker 1: keep you all, and remember always that God is good. Please,
