Eighteen young Girl Scouts from Troop 2856 transformed a dull downtown wall into a vibrant, eye-catching mural titled “Endangered, Not Forgotten,” spotlighting Kansas animals at risk of extinction. Guided by art director Rick Wright, the troop spent a year researching, designing, and painting this Bronze Award-winning project — a community-focused masterpiece that educates, inspires, and beautifies Lawrence.
