- 5:08Speaker 4: can be the first step in a long overdue change
- 5:12Speaker 4: that needs to occur in Brittany's life. And if you
- 5:14Speaker 4: follow her on Instagram, you know what he's talking about.
- 5:17Speaker 4: And we are thinking about you, Brittany. That's three things
- 5:20Speaker 4: you need to know more At the Alabamashow dot com, you.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Good morning, Janet. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:30Speaker 6: I'm just wondering if I'm long for decorating my son
- 5:33Speaker 6: and daughter in lawge home.
- 5:34Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama.
- 5:35Speaker 4: If you ever have an issue called the show, we
- 5:37Speaker 4: do our best to help you out.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Eight three three five I one Bama is the number.
- 5:42Speaker 2: What's going on? How do you decorate their home?
- 5:44Speaker 6: My son and daughter in law just had their first baby,
- 5:46Speaker 6: and my son kept saying over and over again how
- 5:49Speaker 6: much she loved his room growing up and how I
- 5:51Speaker 6: wish that he could replicate that for his new son.
- 5:54Speaker 6: So when they were at the hospital, I decided to
- 5:57Speaker 6: surprise them and go decorate the nursery with some of
- 5:59Speaker 6: the furnish that I kept from when my son was little. Okay,
- 6:02Speaker 6: so it was literally the furniture he had growing up,
- 6:06Speaker 6: you know, so nostalgic and everything, and I could pass
- 6:08Speaker 6: it down to my son, and I was excited about
- 6:10Speaker 6: doing that, and my son seemed really touched by it
- 6:13Speaker 6: when they came home from the hospital. But you know,
- 6:16Speaker 6: after a few days I got a really long text
- 6:19Speaker 6: from this from my daughter in law about how I
- 6:20Speaker 6: should have spoken to her first because the furniture I
- 6:23Speaker 6: bought doesn't match the rest of the room. And she
- 6:27Speaker 6: went on and on and on about how I did
- 6:29Speaker 6: you know it was decorated, and she asked me to
- 6:31Speaker 6: take a back and I told her that no, I
- 6:32Speaker 6: wasn't going to do that because my son likes it.
- 6:34Speaker 6: And then she said, I'm being rude.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Producer, Blake, what would you do if your mom came
- 6:39Speaker 4: into your house and decorated a nursery if you had
- 6:42Speaker 4: a kid.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I think it was okay.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I thought she was doing something sweet.
- 6:47Speaker 2: It was the last thing to do. It was super sweet.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But Janet, I love you, and I hate to say this.
- 6:53Speaker 2: You're not the woman of the house anymore.
- 6:55Speaker 4: You do gotta It's like Bridgerton, the lady of the
- 6:58Speaker 4: house decorates the house the way she wants.
- 7:01Speaker 2: We all watch Fridriton.
- 7:03Speaker 4: You did kind of just go in and not say anything,
- 7:05Speaker 4: and I could see why your daughter in law.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Is like, what just happened to you?
- 7:09Speaker 6: Okay? Well, thank you for thank you for sharing both
- 7:12Speaker 6: of you. At least it gets one on one, one
- 7:14Speaker 6: to one, so sweet going against you?
- 7:17Speaker 2: How this Listen?
- 7:19Speaker 3: You do know that Alabama, you.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Get married, the lady of the house gets to decorate
- 7:26Speaker 4: her home.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You at least get to.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Talk to her about it. I think that your daughter
- 7:29Speaker 4: in law could have been a little bit nicer about
- 7:30Speaker 4: it and.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Didn't have to say take it back. She could have
- 7:33Speaker 2: just moved it to the garage and not said anything.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I would have been more passive aggressive. But call the show.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Eight three three five oho one. Bama is the number.
- 7:43Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 7:43Speaker 4: Is Janet wrong for showing up while they're in the
- 7:46Speaker 4: hospital having their kid and decorating her son's nursery eight
- 7:49Speaker 4: three three five oh one two two six two.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Eight three three five oh one, and Bama is the
- 7:57Speaker 4: number to call the show?
- 7:58Speaker 2: Andrew, good morning.
- 8:00Speaker 4: What do you think about Janet decorating her son and
- 8:03Speaker 4: daughter in law's nursery while they were at the hospital
- 8:06Speaker 4: having their first baby.
- 8:07Speaker 2: That's crossing the line. You don't come to another woman's
- 8:10Speaker 2: home and redecorating the first place. Thank you mother in
- 8:14Speaker 2: law on the daughter in law on.
- 8:15Speaker 5: The nursery, Yeah, she's they're getting they're getting ready to
- 8:20Speaker 5: put her in a nursing homes.

- 8:33Speaker 2: Thirty five one Bama is the number to call the show.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Jin Good morning.
- 8:36Speaker 4: What do you think about Janet decorating her son and
- 8:39Speaker 4: daughter in law's nursery while they were at the hospital
- 8:42Speaker 4: having the baby?
- 8:43Speaker 7: Okay, so I love my mother in law, but even
- 8:46Speaker 7: loving her and getting along with her, I would be pitched.
- 8:49Speaker 7: And it's it's most likely that her son didn't want
- 8:53Speaker 7: to say something to her, so she took upon herself
- 8:56Speaker 7: to let her know. But I totally agree that the
- 8:59Speaker 7: woman that's having, especially the first baby, gets to choose everything.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Absolutely. Also, the son needs to stick up for the wife.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Because he's making her be the bad guy exactly.
- 9:10Speaker 7: But the mother in law, sorry it was her name, Janet,
- 9:12Speaker 7: You're wrong.

- 12:08Speaker 2: Okay, okay, it's my mail lady again.
- 12:12Speaker 3: She's back.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Okay. I am a private person.
- 12:16Speaker 4: I just want to preface this whole story with I
- 12:18Speaker 4: am a private person and I get a knock on
- 12:22Speaker 4: my front.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Door the other day.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Yeah, And I look on the cameras and it's my

- 12:32Speaker 3: Is this a personal visit?
- 12:33Speaker 2: I don't.
- 12:34Speaker 4: So I'm sick as a dog, right, So I my
- 12:38Speaker 4: male lady has figured out who I am and what
- 12:41Speaker 4: I do, and she's following me on TikTok. So I
- 12:43Speaker 4: message her on TikTok and I was like, hey, I'm sick,
- 12:46Speaker 4: I'm not coming to the door.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Left it and they left.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah.

- 12:58Speaker 4: she goes, yeah, she came to our house too to
- 13:02Speaker 4: see the animals, and she brought her kid to see

- 13:37Speaker 4: all in private. I walk around my house naked. This
- 13:40Speaker 4: is not a kid friendly house. I told her, I said,
- 13:44Speaker 4: my house is not a kid friendly house in the neighborhood.
- 13:49Speaker 2: They were doing personal visits. And I probably.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Sound rude saying, and I'm very friendly with her. I
- 13:56Speaker 4: love it, like I'll talk to her when she brings
- 13:59Speaker 4: packages and stuff, and that's fine. But even my friends
- 14:02Speaker 4: don't show up at my house without letting me know.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I'm weird about that. I don't like people coming to
- 14:08Speaker 2: my house without me knowing. I don't like people coming
- 14:10Speaker 2: to my house when I do know, but I tolerate it.
- 14:13Speaker 3: That Oh my gosh, that is so funny. That is awesome.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Oh it's not.
- 14:18Speaker 2: That is so cool. No, it's not. What do I do?
- 14:23Speaker 2: I don't like it, but I don't want to be
- 14:25Speaker 2: rigged because she knows.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Where I live. You don't want to make your mail
- 14:29Speaker 4: Carrierer angry they bring you your.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Mail sounds like you certain leve out and gift baskets
- 14:34Speaker 3: on your mailbox.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Can't say thanks for coming.
- 14:38Speaker 3: You gotta put like one of those signs on your
- 14:40Speaker 3: mailbox that shows like do not come up or come up?
- 14:44Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, like do I visit?
- 14:47Speaker 2: But I need a T shirt for myself?
- 14:49Speaker 4: You know how people get signs for their dogs that
- 14:51Speaker 4: say not.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Friendly, not friendly.
- 14:53Speaker 3: You just said you walk around without that.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I need a shirt for.
