Tragedy strikes the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department as Master Deputy Jillian Olson, 29, dies during a training dive at Lake Murray. A rising star since joining in 2021 — promoted to master deputy in 2025 and newly on the dive team — Olson’s sudden loss leaves her community heartbroken. Services are set for Wednesday, August 5th, beginning with a lie-in-state at Pilgrim Lutheran Church followed by a funeral service.
