- 1:00Speaker 4: Anna McCullough Monday through Friday on that Kevin Oh and
- 1:10Speaker 4: now from mcconnor's in Sullivan Podcast Studios. A man who
- 1:15Speaker 4: is not what he wants to be, but is way
- 1:18Speaker 4: grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 1:21Speaker 8: Here, all right, Welcome aboard, Kevin McCullough.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I gotta tell you it's I'm loving these days of sunshine.
- 1:35Speaker 7: They could be a little warmer but for the most part,
- 1:38Speaker 7: I'm loving the fact that we have some sunny days
- 1:42Speaker 7: here in the New York area. Wherever you're at. If
- 1:44Speaker 7: you're in Honolulu, well, I don't even want to talk
- 1:47Speaker 7: to you. You're just making me jealous. Now, I'm kidding.
- 1:50Speaker 7: If you're in San Diego, I'm trying to think of
- 1:52Speaker 7: all the beautiful places. If you're in what is it Kerrville,
- 1:55Speaker 7: Texas that has like perpetually seventy five degree they're like
- 2:00Speaker 7: three hundred and sixty four days a year. It's really crazy.
- 2:03Speaker 7: But if you're in any of the other rest of
- 2:05Speaker 7: the country and you're joining us, we're so glad that
- 2:08Speaker 7: you have. We've got a lot to get to, including
- 2:10Speaker 7: the latest on what's going on in Iran. If you've
- 2:13Speaker 7: listened to the show for any length of time, you
- 2:15Speaker 7: know that New York is my home base. We come
- 2:17Speaker 7: to you from Times Square, and I got to tell you,
- 2:20Speaker 7: I'm so embarrassed by the people that represent this city
- 2:25Speaker 7: and this part of the country on the national stage.
- 2:28Speaker 7: Yesterday we had the finding of guilt for the two
- 2:33Speaker 7: terrorists who tried to blow up protesters in New York City,
- 2:37Speaker 7: and they were found guilty of terrorism, and it was
- 2:40Speaker 7: good that they found them guilty because the evidence that
- 2:42Speaker 7: they had stacked against them was so incredibly high, Like,
- 2:46Speaker 7: it wasn't that hard to come to a verdict of
- 2:49Speaker 7: saying these guys are guilty. They basically were caught on
- 2:52Speaker 7: some camera somewhere with their entire discussion revealed, and they
- 2:57Speaker 7: were like, Yeah, we want to blow up the protesters.
- 3:00Speaker 7: The guy that organized it, who is not I'm not
- 3:02Speaker 7: a big fan of him, but they're like, we want
- 3:04Speaker 7: to we want to see him split from top to bottom.
- 3:06Speaker 7: And then if we can't get them all, if we
- 3:08Speaker 7: can't get the bombs off, we'll just we'll just throw
- 3:09Speaker 7: them into a cafe somewhere. This this is what they're
- 3:12Speaker 7: talking about on their cab ride into Manhattan that day
- 3:16Speaker 7: that was captured by the cabs monitoring system somehow. And
- 3:22Speaker 7: you would think that because of things like that, and
- 3:25Speaker 7: because of nine to eleven, and because of the impact
- 3:28Speaker 7: that terrorism has had exponentially on New York as opposed
- 3:30Speaker 7: to the rest of the country, you would think that
- 3:33Speaker 7: people like Chuck Schumer and Alexandria Okazio Cortes would have
- 3:38Speaker 7: a more reasonable approach to what we're trying to do
- 3:41Speaker 7: to stop terrorism globally, and since Iran is one of
- 3:44Speaker 7: the big funders of terrorism, they pay big, big, big
- 3:47Speaker 7: dollars to Hamas and Hesbeala, and the houtis they they
- 3:53Speaker 7: you know, it's they want to see terrorism exported exponentially.
- 3:59Speaker 7: And yes day Chuck Schumer came out and goes, you know,
- 4:01Speaker 7: we're less safe off than we were before we took
- 4:05Speaker 7: out all of Iran's terrorism capabilities. Iran is in the
- 4:11Speaker 7: middle of this ceasefire. They're trying to call it void
- 4:16Speaker 7: because they're saying that Israel bombing their surrogates in Lebanon
- 4:22Speaker 7: violates the ceasefire. But the problem is they didn't make
- 4:26Speaker 7: the ceasefire with Israel, and they didn't make and the
- 4:29Speaker 7: president isn't We're not involved in the bombing of Hesbellah
- 4:33Speaker 7: and Lebanon, so it's not it's kind of like not
- 4:35Speaker 7: my circuit, not my monkey, not my circus kind of
- 4:38Speaker 7: thing for Trump. It's not his issue. His issue is
- 4:42Speaker 7: the war that we have been undertaking to rhythm of
- 4:45Speaker 7: their uranium, to kill off all the terrorists that have
- 4:50Speaker 7: threatened or hurt or killed Americans in the past, and
- 4:53Speaker 7: to get the straight of horm moves open for our
- 4:55Speaker 7: allies and friends. We don't need it. We don't need
- 4:58Speaker 7: the straight of hormorves open. They do, but we're offering
- 5:01Speaker 7: to help solve all those problems. So it's interesting that
- 5:05Speaker 7: we've gone into this ceasefire. Iran's tried to change the terms,
- 5:09Speaker 7: tried to move the goalposts. They're good at that, they
- 5:12Speaker 7: do that regularly, and they've got these meetings set up
- 5:16Speaker 7: for this coming weekend. Will there be an agreement? Will
- 5:19Speaker 7: there not be an agreement? Pakistans trying to negotiate and
- 5:24Speaker 7: help it all work out. Well. Iran's been making more
- 5:27Speaker 7: and more threats over the last few days of you know, well,
- 5:30Speaker 7: we're not going to cease hostilities as long as they
- 5:33Speaker 7: continue to, you know, bomb our terrorists in Lebanon. By
- 5:37Speaker 7: the way, the Lebanese government doesn't want those terrorists there either,
- 5:40Speaker 7: so it's not like we're really causing anyone any discomfort
- 5:44Speaker 7: by taking out the terrorists. Isis training centers, all the
- 5:47Speaker 7: rest of the stuff that the terrorists are doing there,
- 5:49Speaker 7: But the Iranian president must sued. Pajekian Pozzesshkian Pazeshkian says
- 5:56Speaker 7: plan talks between the US and Iran on Saturday will
- 5:59Speaker 7: be me meaningless if Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon now.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Pajekian issued the warning in a statement on acts, saying
- 6:08Speaker 7: israel strikes against the Lebanese terrorists are a flagrant violation
- 6:14Speaker 7: of the truce agreed to earlier this week. He said,
- 6:17Speaker 7: the repeated aggression by the Zionist entity against Lebanon is
- 6:20Speaker 7: a flagrant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement any dangerous
- 6:23Speaker 7: indicator of deceit and lack of commitment to potential accords.
- 6:27Speaker 7: The continuation of these aggressions will render negotiations meaningless. Our
- 6:30Speaker 7: hands will remain on the trigger, and Iran will never
- 6:33Speaker 7: abandon its Lebanese brothers and sisters. Friends. Israel's not bombing
- 6:37Speaker 7: peaceful Lebanese. They are killing Hesbelah who have infiltrated different
- 6:43Speaker 7: portions of Lebanon, but they're quickly coming to an end.
- 6:47Speaker 7: This is not this has nothing to do with the
- 6:51Speaker 7: ceasefire between the US and Iran, but they would like
- 6:56Speaker 7: it to be dependent upon it, and the President saying no.
- 7:00Speaker 7: In fact, what the President is saying is to the
- 7:03Speaker 7: men and women in the armed services that are in
- 7:06Speaker 7: the region. Rest up, clean your guns, get everything ready
- 7:09Speaker 7: to go, enjoy a few days off. And he has
- 7:13Speaker 7: said that if Iran doesn't have doesn't seek to do
- 7:19Speaker 7: a permanent agreement, that the US military will be loaded
- 7:23Speaker 7: up and resting and off of a ceasefire, they'll be
- 7:27Speaker 7: more ready to go than ever to finish the job.
- 7:30Speaker 7: By the way, I saw a really compelling I might
- 7:33Speaker 7: get this for you in the second hour if I
- 7:37Speaker 7: can find it. I saw a really compelling confessional video
- 7:40Speaker 7: on Instagram yesterday. But I'm embarrassed by these New York politicians.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Alexandria Ocasio Cortez another one yesterday, reviving this meme. She
- 7:51Speaker 7: urged US service members to refuse the illegal orders. Who determines
- 7:56Speaker 7: whether or not the orders are illegal her, she's a
- 8:00Speaker 7: jury of one. Well, I don't like that one. Well,
- 8:03Speaker 7: that has nothing to do with legality. Legality is the
- 8:08Speaker 7: commander in chief tells you to do something, and then
- 8:10Speaker 7: you go and do it. If it's genocide, if it's
- 8:13Speaker 7: war crimes, if it's those types of things, then you object.
- 8:18Speaker 7: But going in and taking out power plants and bridges
- 8:22Speaker 7: does not constitute a war crime, no matter how many
- 8:24Speaker 7: times they say it. On CNN and MSNBC. You can
- 8:27Speaker 7: say it till you're blue in the face, Jessica Tarlav
- 8:29Speaker 7: on Fox. You can say it over and over and
- 8:31Speaker 7: over again. If the enemy, if the terrorists are using
- 8:34Speaker 7: those bridges and those power plants, they are fair game.
- 8:39Speaker 7: And the IRGC is using the power plants and the bridges,
- 8:44Speaker 7: and they're not using them for what you think they're
- 8:46Speaker 7: using them for. That will also reveal that at the
- 8:49Speaker 7: top of the next hour, it's really you're just going
- 8:51Speaker 7: to be blown away. So I hope that I hope
- 8:55Speaker 7: that you will stay with us. We'll have another update
- 8:58Speaker 7: on everything related to it on as we go through.
- 9:01Speaker 7: Now it is Thursday, so that means a little bit
- 9:04Speaker 7: later on Shelley Goldberg's be here, we're gonna talk parenting
- 9:06Speaker 7: and today a very exciting topic the parents instilling in
- 9:11Speaker 7: their kids' hearts a love for music. How do you
- 9:13Speaker 7: go about doing that. I'm looking forward to that conversation
- 9:17Speaker 7: with her. We're also going to check in on men
- 9:21Speaker 7: and women's men, men participating in women's sports. Peyton McNabb
- 9:25Speaker 7: is back with us from the Independent Women's Forum. She
- 9:28Speaker 7: was someone who had her life her playing career cut
- 9:31Speaker 7: short because a male playing on a female team spiked
- 9:35Speaker 7: a volleyball that hit her head so hard she lost consciousness,
- 9:40Speaker 7: ended her volleyball playing career. And she's back with an
- 9:44Speaker 7: update on some things that are going on as it
- 9:46Speaker 7: relates to the Olympics. Big, big show, lots to get to.
- 9:49Speaker 7: Don't go away.
- 10:11Speaker 9: Here.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He is from New York. That Kevin Kevin McCullough.

- 10:45Speaker 7: easy to stay up to date. But we've been having
- 10:47Speaker 7: a very interesting discussion with Pastor Steve Malazzo this week.
- 10:51Speaker 7: He's the senior pastor lead pastor forty plus years at
- 10:54Speaker 7: BETHLEHEMAG dot org here in the New York trist State area.
- 10:58Speaker 7: Bethlehem Assemblies of God and three locations Valley Stream Rosedale
- 11:03Speaker 7: and Baldwin, and just appreciate Pastor Malaso's heart and his
- 11:08Speaker 7: desire to, you know, share with us some of what
- 11:11Speaker 7: he has walked through in his own congregation. And Pastor Steve,
- 11:16Speaker 7: before we get to today's person that we that we
- 11:19Speaker 7: must have in our life, what was it that caused
- 11:21Speaker 7: you to teach on this with your own congregation. I'm
- 11:24Speaker 7: just I always love knowing the context of where sermons
- 11:27Speaker 7: come from.
- 11:28Speaker 10: Well, I'm deeply convinced that we can't be everything that
- 11:32Speaker 10: God wants us to be without the right people in
- 11:35Speaker 10: our life.
- 11:35Speaker 5: We were doing a relational series.
- 11:38Speaker 10: And just talking about a lot of different things communication,
- 11:43Speaker 10: just talking about a lot of different subjects, and then
- 11:47Speaker 10: just boiled down to you know, the last sermon that
- 11:49Speaker 10: I was preaching in the series. I thought to myself, Wow,
- 11:53Speaker 10: if we don't have the right people in our life,
- 11:56Speaker 10: we can't be what God wants us to be.
- 11:58Speaker 7: That's true, that's true. Well, on that note, we have
- 12:01Speaker 7: been looking at those types of people, and we've talked
- 12:03Speaker 7: about mentors, and we've talked about encouragers. Today we're going
- 12:08Speaker 7: to talk about a different type of person that we
- 12:10Speaker 7: need in our life. Why don't you set that up
- 12:12Speaker 7: for us? Pastor Steve Well.
- 12:14Speaker 10: I believe that most people don't fail because they don't
- 12:16Speaker 10: want to succeed. They fail because they lack accountability. Because accountability,
- 12:21Speaker 10: so often is the bridge between intention and transformation. You know,
- 12:26Speaker 10: you go to the gym and you know, you know,
- 12:29Speaker 10: we were in January and everybody was signing up for
- 12:32Speaker 10: the gym. I wonder, now we're in April, how many
- 12:34Speaker 10: people have stayed with the gym? And I think one
- 12:37Speaker 10: of the reasons why people don't continue on is because
- 12:40Speaker 10: they don't have accountability, Because accountability is the bridge between
- 12:44Speaker 10: intention good intention. I want to do this right, but
- 12:48Speaker 10: you know, I don't have anybody cheering me on but
- 12:50Speaker 10: also holding me accountable. And I know that when I'm
- 12:54Speaker 10: accountable to something. That's why serving in the church is
- 12:57Speaker 10: so important, because it makes it wakes me up in
- 12:59Speaker 10: the morning and say, I got to go to church.
- 13:00Speaker 10: In fact, I believe the reason why you know, I've
- 13:03Speaker 10: learned the word the way I've learned the word is
- 13:05Speaker 10: because I was accountable to my congregation.
- 13:07Speaker 5: I'm accountable to somebody.
- 13:09Speaker 10: I got to show up and I have to deliver,
- 13:11Speaker 10: and so it's going to push me on to be better.
- 13:14Speaker 10: You know, so if we're going to succeed, if we're
- 13:16Speaker 10: going to be everything that God wants us to be
- 13:18Speaker 10: in all life, we're going to need some accountability. Is
- 13:20Speaker 10: someone who holds us accountable when we kind of want
- 13:23Speaker 10: to make excuses why we can't do it or maybe
- 13:27Speaker 10: you know, cut corners or compromise. You know, I think
- 13:30Speaker 10: of David. King David needed accountability in his life. And
- 13:34Speaker 10: we know the story of King David. You know, when
- 13:36Speaker 10: he was supposed to be out at war, he took
- 13:39Speaker 10: a break and it's springtime when they're supposed to be
- 13:42Speaker 10: out at war, and he goes out on his patio.
- 13:46Speaker 10: He's a woman that's bathing, and he's leaved with the woman,
- 13:51Speaker 10: and and he's about to go down a really bad road.
- 13:56Speaker 5: He's sinned.
- 13:57Speaker 10: He was going to destroy his family, his kingdom, and
- 14:01Speaker 10: he needed somebody to confront him.
- 14:02Speaker 5: He needed somebody who loved him.
- 14:04Speaker 10: Enough to confront his own self deception to push back on.
- 14:08Speaker 5: You know why he did what he did. And he
- 14:10Speaker 5: had Nathan in his life.
- 14:12Speaker 10: And can you imagine the courage and the love that
- 14:14Speaker 10: Nathan had for David. You know, kings always had false
- 14:18Speaker 10: prophets around them that told them what they wanted to hear,
- 14:22Speaker 10: but not what they needed to hear. But Nathan was
- 14:25Speaker 10: the guy who told David what he needed to hear,
- 14:28Speaker 10: and I believe he rescued David from destroying himself, his family,
- 14:34Speaker 10: and the kingdom.
- 14:35Speaker 5: We all need accountability in our life.
- 14:38Speaker 7: There's a degree of vulnerability that is asked of us
- 14:42Speaker 7: to really do this, And Steve, I want to be
- 14:44Speaker 7: very honest about this. There's lots of people I've known
- 14:47Speaker 7: that have been like, hey, help hold me accountable in
- 14:50Speaker 7: this area, blah blah blah, and then they don't really
- 14:53Speaker 7: they don't really mean they weren't the appearance of having
- 14:56Speaker 7: an accountability partner, but they don't really get gut level
- 14:59Speaker 7: on about the stuff and really digging in and saying
- 15:05Speaker 7: I really need help on this and I really really
- 15:08Speaker 7: will be gut level truthful about it. That is a's
- 15:13Speaker 7: a that's a heavy lift for a lot of people.
- 15:15Speaker 10: Yeah, and a lot of people never actually get there.
- 15:18Speaker 10: And I think you make a tremendous point because you know,
- 15:21Speaker 10: you know, accountability partners. That's kind of a cliche these days,
- 15:25Speaker 10: and you know, people throw it around, but I agree
- 15:27Speaker 10: with you one hundred percent. I think it's going to
- 15:30Speaker 10: take somebody who's going to be vulnerable, somebody's going to
- 15:32Speaker 10: be honest, somebody who's going to seek it out. But look,
- 15:35Speaker 10: we want to be winners, we want to succeed in life.
- 15:38Speaker 10: We want to really be everything that God wants us
- 15:42Speaker 10: to be. And so I'm probably talking to a select
- 15:45Speaker 10: group of people who really just want to be that
- 15:48Speaker 10: in a really powerful way. And if you want to
- 15:51Speaker 10: be that, then you have to seek out that accountability partner,
- 15:55Speaker 10: that person who's going to hold you accountable in your life.
- 15:58Speaker 10: And that takes, like you said, vulnerability, it takes relationship.
- 16:02Speaker 3: You know this.
- 16:03Speaker 10: You don't you don't just walk over to somebody in
- 16:05Speaker 10: church and say, listen, hold me accountable you again, you know.
- 16:10Speaker 10: Going back to what we said, you know yesterday, was
- 16:13Speaker 10: that we need the church, we need the community of faith.
- 16:16Speaker 10: And so as we go deeper into the community of faith,
- 16:19Speaker 10: as we build stronger relationships, as we build relationships and
- 16:24Speaker 10: small groups in one groups, and there's.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Going to be somebody again that the Lord is going
- 16:28Speaker 5: to connect you to.
- 16:30Speaker 10: I believe that all of these people that we're talking about,
- 16:33Speaker 10: the four different people in our life.
- 16:35Speaker 5: God is going to send them to you.
- 16:38Speaker 10: You just have to recognize who they are, and that
- 16:41Speaker 10: sometimes is not easy. But it takes again vulnerability, its
- 16:46Speaker 10: searching out, it takes desire, It takes wanting to find
- 16:51Speaker 10: those people or at least connect with those people. And
- 16:55Speaker 10: I believe in my prayer for people that are listening
- 16:59Speaker 10: today is as they get involved in serving, getting involved
- 17:02Speaker 10: in their church, and getting involved in building relationships, step
- 17:06Speaker 10: by step, God's going to.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Lead an accountability partner to them.
- 17:09Speaker 10: Then they're going to be open, like you said, Kevin,
- 17:11Speaker 10: and they're going to be courageous enough to say, look,
- 17:14Speaker 10: here's what's going on in my life, you know. And
- 17:16Speaker 10: I think men with men, women with women, you know,
- 17:19Speaker 10: just just making sure that we have those great boundaries
- 17:22Speaker 10: around us to do it the right way.
- 17:24Speaker 5: I believe God's going to send the right people.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Let me let me ask a more difficult question. What
- 17:30Speaker 7: are one or two key attributes of how to be
- 17:34Speaker 7: a good accountability for somebody?
- 17:37Speaker 5: I think number one is you better not be a gossiper.
- 17:40Speaker 10: You know, you better know how to hold your tongue,
- 17:42Speaker 10: you better know how to be able to keep things
- 17:44Speaker 10: in confidence. I think that's number one, And I think
- 17:47Speaker 10: number two is you have to be very discerning and
- 17:50Speaker 10: you have to be a person who spends time with
- 17:52Speaker 10: the Father, spend time with Jesus the Holy Spirit.
- 17:55Speaker 5: I think to those two.
- 17:56Speaker 10: Things is you know, being in prayer, having a for
- 18:00Speaker 10: our life, you know, obviously knowing the Word of God,
- 18:03Speaker 10: but also learning how to keep everything in confidence. If
- 18:07Speaker 10: somebody shares something, they've got to know that they can
- 18:11Speaker 10: trust you deeply that you're not going to take this
- 18:15Speaker 10: information and you know, spread it around the church.
- 18:18Speaker 7: How tough do you need to be as an accountability partner?
- 18:21Speaker 5: Oh, you have to be secure.
- 18:24Speaker 10: You have to be secure enough to actually be willing
- 18:27Speaker 10: to even risk the relationship because some people can't handle it,
- 18:31Speaker 10: you know. I mean, like you said in the beginning
- 18:33Speaker 10: of the broadcast, you said, you know, we go out
- 18:36Speaker 10: and say we want one, but do we really want it?
- 18:39Speaker 10: And then do we really want to be really that
- 18:42Speaker 10: vulnerable and open? So but the truth of the matter
- 18:46Speaker 10: is is that we've got to make sure that we're
- 18:49Speaker 10: strong enough to love God and love the person enough
- 18:53Speaker 10: to tell them the truth even if it costs us
- 18:57Speaker 10: the relationship because they're asking us, you know, and we
- 19:00Speaker 10: have to speak everything gently, everything you know, with honor respect.
- 19:06Speaker 10: But the Bible is speak the truth and love. But
- 19:09Speaker 10: you have to speak the truth and be willing, you know,
- 19:11Speaker 10: for the relationship maybe to sever because you were that
- 19:15Speaker 10: honest with the person.
- 19:17Speaker 7: Well, and there's a certain degree of I guess you
- 19:21Speaker 7: would call it psychology to the idea of a valuable
- 19:25Speaker 7: friendship that does mean something. The truth is that the
- 19:30Speaker 7: beauty of accountability is that it should, for both people involved,
- 19:35Speaker 7: bring about the importance of the friendship that they have
- 19:38Speaker 7: and the value that they that they esteem each other with,
- 19:42Speaker 7: and that should be something that we do desire healthy
- 19:46Speaker 7: relationships people that we know are invested in what is
- 19:49Speaker 7: good for us, not just what is convenient for us.
- 19:53Speaker 7: And it's that's where at least in my experience Pastor Steve,
- 19:57Speaker 7: we like to say down on the farm, stuff got real.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Because until you're sitting there and you're saying, you know,
- 20:06Speaker 7: we've talked about this, you know, failure is failure. God
- 20:12Speaker 7: wants better for you. And I think the other part
- 20:15Speaker 7: of accountability is not judgment, but it's ultimately flourish. If
- 20:19Speaker 7: it's ultimately about flourishing, it's about helping that person move
- 20:23Speaker 7: past that spiritual blockage to achieve what God ultimately has
- 20:31Speaker 7: for them, which is so much better than whatever it
- 20:34Speaker 7: is that they're hanging on to in the moment, even
- 20:37Speaker 7: if they don't really see it or believe it. Wow,
- 20:40Speaker 7: is this a good week. I'm so grateful that Steve
- 20:42Speaker 7: Malazzo has been with us. And we're going to come
- 20:44Speaker 7: back tomorrow the Friday edition with one more coming right back.
- 20:48Speaker 7: It's Calvin McCullough.
- 20:48Speaker 9: Uncle, way, let's stick around for more of that Kevin next.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Here he is from New York, That Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 21:16Speaker 7: All right, welcome back. It's Kevin McCullough, that Kevin Show.
- 21:20Speaker 7: And I'm not sure if you've noticed this or not.
- 21:22Speaker 7: And by the way, Hello Peoria, w P e O,
- 21:25Speaker 7: A M and F M. You're our station of the week.
- 21:28Speaker 7: I'm gonna be shouting you out every day this week.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Last week was AM five ninety K T I E
- 21:32Speaker 7: in southern California. But w P EO you just added
- 21:36Speaker 7: us to your drive time.
- 21:37Speaker 2: There.
- 21:39Speaker 7: We get to be with you on your drive home
- 21:41Speaker 7: from work. And we want to we want to be
- 21:44Speaker 7: with you every day. We want to we want to
- 21:46Speaker 7: go with you. We want to build up your mind,
- 21:48Speaker 7: We want to expand your understanding of the world around
- 21:51Speaker 7: you from the standpoint of Judeo Christian belief and basic
- 21:56Speaker 7: truth and what is right and what is wrong. That's
- 21:59Speaker 7: that's all part of what we're in there. But very
- 22:01Speaker 7: very honored to be in the Peoria, Illinois and surrounding
- 22:04Speaker 7: region really all through central and southern Illinois. Thank you
- 22:08Speaker 7: so much for making us part of your your your
- 22:11Speaker 7: line up there, particularly in such this esteemed spot. I
- 22:15Speaker 7: know that Charlie Kirk used to visit these this very
- 22:19Speaker 7: time slot, and so I'm very very honored to be
- 22:21Speaker 7: taking his place. Thank you, thank you, thank you. All Right,
- 22:27Speaker 7: you may have noticed, you may not have noticed, but
- 22:29Speaker 7: you may have noticed that since November, since we've come
- 22:33Speaker 7: to the network. Uh, there is something that I do
- 22:38Speaker 7: every month, and that is I recruit you to help
- 22:43Speaker 7: me and us collectively change the world together. So in
- 22:48Speaker 7: the month of December, we liberated slaves that would never
- 22:53Speaker 7: have been able to be liberated had you and I
- 22:55Speaker 7: not gotten involved. And I want to say because of you,
- 22:59Speaker 7: there were there were quite a few that were able
- 23:02Speaker 7: to be released. And we're so so grateful. Now, in
- 23:06Speaker 7: the month of February and March and April, we're gonna
- 23:08Speaker 7: do something that I really love. And part of why
- 23:12Speaker 7: I really love it is because I've been to the
- 23:15Speaker 7: place where a group called Food for the Poor operate.
- 23:18Speaker 7: I have seen with mine own eyes how they conduct themselves.
- 23:23Speaker 7: I have held the children in my arms that we
- 23:26Speaker 7: will be helping, and it's so cost effective. But let
- 23:31Speaker 7: me just tell you that there are places in Central America,
- 23:36Speaker 7: South America, the Caribbean where there are no luxurious resorts,
- 23:43Speaker 7: there are no grocery stores, there are no things that
- 23:48Speaker 7: you would think would be part of modern life. And
- 23:50Speaker 7: they are for us here in America, but not so
- 23:53Speaker 7: in places where Food for the Poors at work, places
- 23:56Speaker 7: like Guatemala, Haiti, elseor some of the Honduras, some of
- 24:02Speaker 7: these places where poverty is so deadly. And let me
- 24:07Speaker 7: just give you an example. Did you know that, on average,
- 24:12Speaker 7: the amount of time that an orphan in these regions
- 24:17Speaker 7: or a parentless child in these regions goes without eating
- 24:21Speaker 7: in some of these places up to seventy two hours
- 24:25Speaker 7: in between meals that resemble actual food. I'm not talking
- 24:30Speaker 7: about stories where you hear of somebody boiling some leaves
- 24:33Speaker 7: or some tree bark or something and trying to make
- 24:36Speaker 7: that into a meal. No, I'm talking about actual food.
- 24:40Speaker 7: There are literally tens of thousands of these children throughout
- 24:45Speaker 7: these regions, and Food for the Poor who's been around
- 24:48Speaker 7: for forty five years is in eighteen of these countries
- 24:52Speaker 7: and working hard to try to reach every one of
- 24:54Speaker 7: these kids. And this year they have provided us with
- 24:58Speaker 7: a list of seven hundred and twenty children's names that
- 25:03Speaker 7: we can very simply remove off of a list that
- 25:08Speaker 7: would make them food secure for the next year. And
- 25:10Speaker 7: here's what they would get every single day, two meals
- 25:15Speaker 7: a day of some carbohydrates like rice, some proteins like beans,
- 25:21Speaker 7: some vitamin component supplements that are added to that recipe,
- 25:28Speaker 7: and a little chicken broth and a little I don't know,
- 25:32Speaker 7: care and love that make this a beautiful meal and
- 25:36Speaker 7: to be able to receive it twice a day for
- 25:39Speaker 7: the next year. Think about that. Think about friends. You
- 25:44Speaker 7: take your child out to eat, and I take my
- 25:48Speaker 7: family to brunch on Sundays after church. It's kind of
- 25:52Speaker 7: a special time. Mom doesn't have to cook. We sit
- 25:54Speaker 7: and have a meal together and we talk about what
- 25:58Speaker 7: God has done for us, and we get thanks, and
- 26:00Speaker 7: it's just really really beautiful. But think about if you
- 26:04Speaker 7: were to take your children to eat twice a day
- 26:09Speaker 7: for a meal that would cover all of their nutritional needs.
- 26:13Speaker 7: How much would that cost you for the entire year
- 26:15Speaker 7: for just one child. How much would you spend I'm
- 26:19Speaker 7: going to guess that it would be tens of hundreds
- 26:23Speaker 7: of times a multiplied amount of seventy five dollars. And yet,
- 26:28Speaker 7: for seventy five dollars, you can feed a child and
- 26:33Speaker 7: give them purified drinking water, clean drinking water, drinking water
- 26:38Speaker 7: that's good for them, not the kind that is filled
- 26:40Speaker 7: with parasites and so forth, good drinking water for them.
- 26:44Speaker 7: You can give them these two things for the next
- 26:47Speaker 7: year for seventy five dollars per child. Friends, I want
- 26:51Speaker 7: to ask you, would you help us by saying I'll
- 26:53Speaker 7: take care of two children right now. One hundred and
- 26:57Speaker 7: fifty dollars gift would care for two children for the
- 27:00Speaker 7: entire next year, all of the food they need, all
- 27:03Speaker 7: of the clean drinking water that they need for two children. Now,
- 27:07Speaker 7: before you answer real quickly, just goot word. If you
- 27:11Speaker 7: call today, someone will match every gift we get in
- 27:16Speaker 7: this hour, someone will match everything that we do if
- 27:19Speaker 7: you call right now. Here's the phone number eight five
- 27:23Speaker 7: five nine zero seven, four six seven three eight five
- 27:28Speaker 7: five nine zero seven four six seven three. So if
- 27:32Speaker 7: you do one hundred and fifty dollars gift right now,
- 27:34Speaker 7: it's not two kids, it's four kids that will eat
- 27:36Speaker 7: and get clean drinking water. But would you would you
- 27:38Speaker 7: join us? We have seven hundred and twenty children that
- 27:41Speaker 7: need to be cared for. Would you take four of
- 27:44Speaker 7: them with a gift of one hundred and fifty dollars
- 27:46Speaker 7: right now? Eight five five nine zero seven four six
- 27:48Speaker 7: seven three eight five five nine zero seven four six
- 27:51Speaker 7: seven three, Please go and call right now.
- 28:09Speaker 11: Here.
- 28:10Speaker 1: He is from New York.
- 28:16Speaker 12: Her name is Javelin or Alice. She's twelve years old.
- 28:23Speaker 12: She was fetching water to drink again. I treat the
- 28:32Speaker 12: water to drink it. She treats it with aquatap. But
- 28:35Speaker 12: they don't find the aquatap tablet all the time. Sometimes
- 28:39Speaker 12: they drink it like that, or they try to find
- 28:41Speaker 12: the little glorine to put in it again.
- 28:50Speaker 1: It tastes like mud.
- 28:51Speaker 12: Sometimes I can even feel the germs inside of it.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Sometimes it gives me stomach ache.
- 29:00Speaker 7: That is the story of a little girl named Chauvelin,
- 29:04Speaker 7: and she is from a country that I care a
- 29:06Speaker 7: great deal about. Kevin mccullaugh, glad to be with you
- 29:09Speaker 7: because I have an adopted son from the country of Haiti,
- 29:12Speaker 7: and I've been there many times. Paul Jacob is back
- 29:15Speaker 7: with us from Food for the Poor and Paul, there's
- 29:19Speaker 7: few places in human existence that have been more worse
- 29:23Speaker 7: offt than Haiti on good years, and then when you
- 29:27Speaker 7: have hurricanes and other things that come through. When you
- 29:30Speaker 7: have a measles epidemic, disease has supposedly been dormant and
- 29:35Speaker 7: dead for a number of years breakout. When you have
- 29:38Speaker 7: earthquakes that happen, and whatever infrastructure is there just falls
- 29:42Speaker 7: in on itself. And we're not talking about fifty years ago.
- 29:45Speaker 7: We're talking about in the last ten years. All this
- 29:47Speaker 7: has happened to the poorest country in our hemisphere and
- 29:50Speaker 7: maybe one of the top two poorest countries on the planet.
- 29:54Speaker 7: This is ground zero for where Food for the Poor
- 29:58Speaker 7: is doing some of its heaviest lifting in terms of
- 30:01Speaker 7: helping people, and Chauvelin's story is kind of an example
- 30:04Speaker 7: of that.
- 30:05Speaker 13: We just finished serving and been completed serving forty years
- 30:10Speaker 13: in Haiti. We still are there, you know, and everything
- 30:12Speaker 13: that you just mentioned, the cholera, the earthquakes, the hurricanes,
- 30:16Speaker 13: multiple hurricanes as early as last October with Hurricane Melissa
- 30:22Speaker 13: barreling through Jamaica but still making a significant impact on
- 30:26Speaker 13: Haiti as well, sybil unrest, you name it. Something has
- 30:29Speaker 13: transpired in Haiti. And I was asked the other day
- 30:32Speaker 13: by someone who's been long standing a partner to Food
- 30:35Speaker 13: for the Poor but hadn't been in contact and said,
- 30:38Speaker 13: have we still do Are we still doing anything in Haiti?
- 30:41Speaker 13: And I said, like never before, the work still continues. Now,
- 30:45Speaker 13: we've had to shift our operational focus and we've had
- 30:48Speaker 13: to shift how we do things for the safety and
- 30:50Speaker 13: protection of our partners and beneficiaries. But it is the
- 30:53Speaker 13: work has never stopped. The staff has never stopped. And
- 30:56Speaker 13: so your gift right now one hundred and fifty dollars
- 31:00Speaker 13: three hundred dollars or maybe one thousand dollars for twenty
- 31:03Speaker 13: six children to have food, to have access to water,
- 31:06Speaker 13: it's going to make it to Haiti. It's going to
- 31:08Speaker 13: make it to the countries where Food for the Poor
- 31:10Speaker 13: serves because these beneficiaries are still praying and waiting in
- 31:14Speaker 13: the midst of all of that, our pastors are still
- 31:16Speaker 13: on the ground, our teams are still ready to deploy
- 31:19Speaker 13: all of this aid and help to these families and
- 31:22Speaker 13: places like Haiti. Is a testament by the way, they
- 31:26Speaker 13: are a majority of this staff here at Food for
- 31:29Speaker 13: the Poor and in the building where we serve here
- 31:31Speaker 13: that are they descend from Haiti, and so it is
- 31:34Speaker 13: personal for them. It is personal for all of us
- 31:37Speaker 13: who have traveled to Haiti and have personal friends and
- 31:39Speaker 13: family there that we just cannot we cannot look away.
- 31:43Speaker 13: And that's why Food for the Poor will be there
- 31:45Speaker 13: another forty years, in spite of everything you may see
- 31:48Speaker 13: on the news. So the bottom line is this hunger
- 31:51Speaker 13: is striking Haiti and many of the countries are Food
- 31:54Speaker 13: for the Poor serves. The lack of lack of water,
- 31:58Speaker 13: safe water, excuse me, is never been more of an issue.
- 32:02Speaker 13: But we are still in need of your help. There
- 32:04Speaker 13: are children every single day getting sick for nothing more
- 32:08Speaker 13: than taking a sip of dangerous water. But you can
- 32:11Speaker 13: change that with a generous gift right.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Now, friends, It's true. I've seen it with my own eyes.
- 32:18Speaker 7: Haiti is one of the places I've traveled to with
- 32:20Speaker 7: food for the poor, and there are a few scenes
- 32:24Speaker 7: I've seen in my life, in real life with my
- 32:26Speaker 7: own eyes that have been more discouraging than some of
- 32:30Speaker 7: the situations that we've happened upon. But I'll also tell
- 32:33Speaker 7: you it's been one of those destinations where I've also
- 32:37Speaker 7: seen great good come about. And Paul, you were with
- 32:40Speaker 7: me on one of these adventures, because one of the
- 32:43Speaker 7: years that we were there, I remember getting in a
- 32:47Speaker 7: vehicle for the poor, brought us down put us in
- 32:53Speaker 7: had to be one of the nicest hotels in the country.
- 32:56Speaker 7: I mean, it was probably the equivalent of like a
- 32:58Speaker 7: you know, Super eight or Motive six or something in
- 33:01Speaker 7: the US, but by Haitian standards, it was it was
- 33:04Speaker 7: the it was the it was the palace. But we
- 33:08Speaker 7: got in the van and we drove out of I
- 33:11Speaker 7: think it was Porta Prints and we drove for quite
- 33:13Speaker 7: a while. It was a couple of hours. We got
- 33:15Speaker 7: to kind of what I thought was the end of
- 33:16Speaker 7: the earth, and when we got there, we're like, are
- 33:20Speaker 7: we close? Like nope, So we got out and we
- 33:23Speaker 7: walked for another at least couple of miles, and as
- 33:26Speaker 7: we were going back into this area where there had
- 33:29Speaker 7: been some sugarcane industry and some other things going on
- 33:32Speaker 7: in previous years, because of the drought, because of the
- 33:35Speaker 7: lack of rain, because of some of the cataclysmic weather
- 33:39Speaker 7: things that had gone on, it just had wiped out
- 33:42Speaker 7: the entire probability for that community to support itself in
- 33:48Speaker 7: the sugarcane industry anymore. And we go back and back
- 33:53Speaker 7: and back and back, and then out of the blue,
- 33:55Speaker 7: kind of behind a couple of trees, back in the
- 33:58Speaker 7: back in the wherever there was this little church. And
- 34:01Speaker 7: this looked like a little cinderblock structure, maybe six or
- 34:05Speaker 7: eight rows of little benches made out of pieces of
- 34:10Speaker 7: wood that trunks of trees or whatever. The kids were
- 34:14Speaker 7: sitting on and they were trying to learn from a
- 34:17Speaker 7: teacher who was the local pastor, Pastor Joseph. And it
- 34:20Speaker 7: was one of those things where you just couldn't you
- 34:23Speaker 7: couldn't really grasp but what you were looking at, like
- 34:26Speaker 7: how bad the situation was.
- 34:28Speaker 13: I mean, you know, you're getting a glimpse into how
- 34:30Speaker 13: food for the poor works because that community was hidden
- 34:34Speaker 13: for thirty years. He talked about a few years that
- 34:37Speaker 13: he had built.
- 34:38Speaker 7: When we went back, there were roads. They actually had
- 34:40Speaker 7: gotten a road all the way into the town.
- 34:41Speaker 13: At that point, the men got tools and built a
- 34:44Speaker 13: road for us to drive right to the front door
- 34:46Speaker 13: of that school. And so you get a picture and
- 34:49Speaker 13: a glimpse of how Food for the Poor works. Our
- 34:51Speaker 13: field officers are in the communities constantly. Our pastors are
- 34:55Speaker 13: coming to our offices telling us we have a community,
- 34:58Speaker 13: we have a need. There are children, there are families,
- 35:01Speaker 13: there are prayers asking for help. And it's those moments
- 35:06Speaker 13: when we go to Kadua, those moments when we go
- 35:09Speaker 13: to Villanueva, which is in Honduras. And I'm reminded of
- 35:13Speaker 13: Galatians chapter two, verse ten, when Paul the Apostle at
- 35:16Speaker 13: the beginning of his ministry in Galicia, he said, all
- 35:19Speaker 13: they asked of me was that we remember the poor,
- 35:23Speaker 13: the very thing I was eager to do all along.
- 35:26Speaker 13: All we're asking you right now is to tangibly, compassionately
- 35:32Speaker 13: and immediately remember the poor by giving your best gift,
- 35:36Speaker 13: because these families need you right now.

- 36:31Speaker 7: have to worry about missing it. Last night, it got
- 36:35Speaker 7: kind of uncomfortable on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, not to
- 36:38Speaker 7: be confused with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon is a guy
- 36:42Speaker 7: on NBC. Jimmy Kimmel is the guy on ABC who
- 36:46Speaker 7: I think has not had a profitable rating in like
- 36:51Speaker 7: many many years since he got suspended and brought back.
- 36:56Speaker 7: Even he had like a little bump when he came
- 36:57Speaker 7: back and then evaporated quickly, and he has not grown
- 37:00Speaker 7: his audience at all. The ABC was completely within their
- 37:04Speaker 7: right to cancel him, but they've changed their mind and
- 37:09Speaker 7: brought him back anyway. The US national champion women's basketball
- 37:15Speaker 7: team was invited on Last Night, and during a group
- 37:20Speaker 7: interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Lauren betts, keky Rice Gabriella Walkeuz,
- 37:28Speaker 7: Angela Dugalich, and coach Corey Close were all there, but
- 37:33Speaker 7: it turned political after Kimmel pointed out that former President
- 37:39Speaker 7: Barack Obama made a social post congratulating the team on
- 37:42Speaker 7: their championship win. Kimmel asked if Donald Trump had reached
- 37:46Speaker 7: out yet. The players answered no in kind of unison
- 37:49Speaker 7: to Kimmel's Trump question, But then Kimmel steered the conversation
- 37:54Speaker 7: deeper into an anti Trump routine. And he had planned this.
- 37:58Speaker 7: You could tell ahead of time. He goes, I'm sure
- 38:02Speaker 7: you know he's busy, he's in He's in two weeks.
- 38:07Speaker 7: You'll hear from him. In the event that you do
- 38:10Speaker 7: get invited to the White House and you decide to
- 38:12Speaker 7: go to the White House, I have something for you.
- 38:14Speaker 7: And you can watch the girls on the tape. They
- 38:17Speaker 7: get kind of visibly kind of anxious. They're they're not
- 38:22Speaker 7: sure that they'd wanted to go on Kimmel's show and
- 38:25Speaker 7: talk politics. He then pulls out a silver trophy that
- 38:29Speaker 7: hardly resembled the NC two a championship trophy that sat
- 38:32Speaker 7: on his desk. He said, what I want you to
- 38:35Speaker 7: do is bring this fake trophy we've made to the
- 38:38Speaker 7: White House. He's not going to know. But when you
- 38:41Speaker 7: bring a trophy, he sometimes takes it and keeps it
- 38:44Speaker 7: for himself. So this is for you guys to take
- 38:46Speaker 7: to the White House, and then you can say, President Trump,
- 38:49Speaker 7: we want you to have this, and he'll be so happy.
- 38:51Speaker 7: You'll probably get an endowment and you'll be able to
- 38:53Speaker 7: keep the real one, Kimmel said.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Close.
- 38:56Speaker 7: The coach laughed at Kimmel's joke, while the player's lightly
- 38:59Speaker 7: class apped, exchanging kind of laughs. Meanwhile, social media users
- 39:08Speaker 7: criticized Kimmel for turning the sports interview into a Trump rant.
- 39:13Speaker 7: I mean, you can't even talk about national champions now,
- 39:18Speaker 7: one ex user said, even celebrating their championship, he has
- 39:22Speaker 7: to make it about himself and his hatred for Trump.
- 39:26Speaker 7: Another user mocked, what will he do when Trump is
- 39:29Speaker 7: out of office? That show is cooked. Another user, this
- 39:35Speaker 7: is funny, but I disliked that he used the smite
- 39:38Speaker 7: that used them to smite the Trump So even some
- 39:43Speaker 7: Trump haiters didn't like the fact that he went there.
- 39:46Speaker 7: UCLA won it's women's basketball national championship, first in program history,
- 39:50Speaker 7: this past weekend, defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks, the team
- 39:53Speaker 7: led by Don Staley that had reached the national title
- 39:56Speaker 7: game three consecutive seasons and won it in twenty twenty
- 39:58Speaker 7: four in a domin minute fashion. Ucla won seventy nine
- 40:02Speaker 7: fifty one. But goodness, Jimmy, you can't, like, you can't
- 40:07Speaker 7: just have ladies on and just congratulate them and say, hey,
- 40:11Speaker 7: good for you, We're very proud of you. The whole
- 40:13Speaker 7: country good job. No, you got to turn it into
- 40:18Speaker 7: something weird. Here, take the fake trophy. He hasn't taken
- 40:22Speaker 7: anybody's trophies away from them, so I don't even know
- 40:27Speaker 7: what he's talking about. And people that give him gifts
- 40:31Speaker 7: he's grateful for and says thank you for. But he
- 40:33Speaker 7: didn't take anything from anybody. Cavin McCullough, Our number two
- 40:37Speaker 7: is straight ahead, don't go anywhere.
- 40:49Speaker 1: The following program is pre recorded somewhere in the vowels.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Of the City that Never sleeps.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Kevin McCullough, radio host with Salem.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Is a man also not sleeping.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Kevin and the Color.
- 41:05Speaker 2: And That guy would like a word review.
- 41:08Speaker 11: Many of you know him when As looks for Damas.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Of course, that Kevin Show is gonna be great.
- 41:12Speaker 5: The only thing is gonna be greater, of course, would
- 41:14Speaker 5: be that Donald Show.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But we don't have that. So we have That Kevin.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Show, featuring the music of Dick Tunny and the Dream.
- 41:21Speaker 2: In Color Orchestraw straight ahead.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Everything you need to know about the top headlines of
- 41:36Speaker 4: the day and a perspective that will.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Give you some eternity to it.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Plus practical tips for family life, spiritual life, and good
- 41:46Speaker 4: old regular life. It's Kevin McCollough Monday through Friday on
- 41:52Speaker 4: That Kevin Show and now from the Connors in Sullivan
- 42:01Speaker 4: Podcast Studios. A man who is not what he wants
- 42:05Speaker 4: to be, but.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Is way grateful that is not who he used to be.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Here here, all right, Kevin mccallough, got to have you
- 42:18Speaker 7: with us. Hour two is off and running. We are
- 42:21Speaker 7: grateful to have you here. It's That Kevin Show, that
- 42:24Speaker 7: Kevinshow dot Com. Yes, it's true. I am no longer
- 42:28Speaker 7: the man I once was, and I am not yet
- 42:31Speaker 7: the man I want to be. And every day we
- 42:33Speaker 7: are engaged in an exercise of trying to become just that.
- 42:37Speaker 7: Thank you for letting us do part of that with
- 42:39Speaker 7: you every day, and thank you for being here. At
- 42:42Speaker 7: the top of the show last hour, I gave you
- 42:44Speaker 7: a rundown of some of the I don't know where
- 42:47Speaker 7: things stand right now. And you know, Iron's really upset
- 42:51Speaker 7: that Israel won't stop killing terrorists that they've been needing
- 42:56Speaker 7: their help with in has Bella and Lebanon for the
- 43:02Speaker 7: last few days. And I don't think that the President
- 43:05Speaker 7: is moved by this at all. He's pretty much just said, look,
- 43:09Speaker 7: we're going to have this ceasefire meeting and we're going
- 43:11Speaker 7: to talk about things we want to talk about. You
- 43:13Speaker 7: and Israel. That's that's your issue. You go deal with
- 43:16Speaker 7: issue with Israel about Israel issues. But it's interesting to
- 43:21Speaker 7: see all that play out. But I wanted you to
- 43:23Speaker 7: hear something I saw on Instagram this morning. It is
- 43:29Speaker 7: what you're about to hear is a message from a
- 43:33Speaker 7: young man named Ali.
- 43:36Speaker 2: He is.
- 43:38Speaker 7: In Iran. He is an Iranian, and he has a
- 43:41Speaker 7: message for the people of the US.
- 43:43Speaker 11: Take a listen, runnian to people of America. We the
- 43:49Speaker 11: people of Iran currently have really limited access to the
- 43:52Speaker 11: power and electricity inside Iraq because THEURGYCY is using them
- 43:57Speaker 11: to mining bitcoins and selling them to the China and
- 44:01Speaker 11: getting missiles and drones and then attacking your basis in
- 44:06Speaker 11: Middle East. So we have no access. We have limited
- 44:09Speaker 11: access to electricity, and if your country want to destroy them,
- 44:14Speaker 11: we appreciate that it's gonna cut off their hand about
- 44:18Speaker 11: getting resources to continue this war. And people of United
- 44:23Speaker 11: the States, if you're worried about the civilian casualties about
- 44:26Speaker 11: the war inside Iran, we didn't get even more than
- 44:29Speaker 11: one thousand civilian casualty in this war. But in just
- 44:34Speaker 11: two days one month ago, we just get forty thousand
- 44:38Speaker 11: casualties maybe more. And three years before that tens of
- 44:43Speaker 11: thousands again, and two years before that tens of thousands again.
- 44:49Speaker 11: So we are taking millions of casualties from IERGC inside
- 44:55Speaker 11: our country and we have no access to powers. So
- 44:59Speaker 11: if Donald Trump wants to destroying our power basis, we
- 45:04Speaker 11: will appreciate that that's helping we because it's curing cancer.
- 45:10Speaker 11: You cannot curing this cancer without harming your body. It's
- 45:19Speaker 11: like a surgery. So we are in the middle of
- 45:23Speaker 11: the surgery. So please don't try to stop our surger
- 45:27Speaker 11: our doctor. Let Donald Trump. I have no idea about
- 45:32Speaker 11: your politics, about your country. All I'm trying to say
- 45:36Speaker 11: is as an Iranian, as an Iranian, this is good
- 45:40Speaker 11: for us. We are thankful. We are so thankful to
- 45:44Speaker 11: Donald Trump. He's destroying I ergency, our nightmare after fifty years.
- 45:50Speaker 11: So please don't try to stop this operation and support
- 45:56Speaker 11: your government. They are not just our enemies. They are
- 45:59Speaker 11: working with China. They will attack you, so you kind
- 46:03Speaker 11: of stop them right now. It's much further than future.
- 46:07Speaker 11: They're going to be more powerful for you, and we
- 46:10Speaker 11: will be destroyed by them completely. Thank you for listening.
- 46:15Speaker 7: That is an Iranian national commenting on the Trump strategy,
- 46:21Speaker 7: and I don't think a lot of people in America
- 46:23Speaker 7: have heard those words. Did you know that even without
- 46:27Speaker 7: the war, the Iranian people aren't really getting much electricity
- 46:31Speaker 7: because Iran is mining bitcoin and using it to buy
- 46:36Speaker 7: missiles and drones from China. Have you heard that reported anywhere?
- 46:42Speaker 7: By the way, I checked out this man's claims. I
- 46:46Speaker 7: have sources. You hear them on the show regularly. His
- 46:49Speaker 7: claims check out, but no one's telling the story. A
- 46:53Speaker 7: month ago, forty thousand plus were killed by their own
- 46:57Speaker 7: government three years before that, tens of thousands more, two
- 47:00Speaker 7: years before that, tens of thousands more. Look, if you
- 47:04Speaker 7: hate Donald Trump and you want to be out there
- 47:06Speaker 7: and you want to say that this war is terrible
- 47:09Speaker 7: and you disagree with it for all the reasons that
- 47:11Speaker 7: you're allowed to have, that's fine. But don't claim to
- 47:16Speaker 7: speak for the Iranian people when the Iranian people have
- 47:21Speaker 7: been the ones that have been butchered at the hands
- 47:23Speaker 7: of these animals that are in charge of their country.
- 47:28Speaker 7: And those Iranian people are making videos with limited amounts
- 47:32Speaker 7: of electricity trying to get them out to the world,
- 47:34Speaker 7: trying to say, hey, we're thankful for what Donald Trump's doing.
- 47:39Speaker 7: We want the Irgc to be removed from power. We
- 47:42Speaker 7: don't want them to continue to have access to our
- 47:45Speaker 7: power plants so that we don't have electricity and they
- 47:47Speaker 7: can use it for the purposes that they wish. Just
- 47:50Speaker 7: be very careful, friend. There's a lot that's going to
- 47:53Speaker 7: be misrepresented because it's an election year, and there's going
- 47:56Speaker 7: to be people that are just going to be out
- 47:57Speaker 7: to make you think certain things because they think that's
- 48:01Speaker 7: what's going to get them elected. At the end of
- 48:04Speaker 7: the day, we want to be about the side that
- 48:07Speaker 7: is supporting human flourishing. At the end of the day,
- 48:10Speaker 7: we want to be about the side that's putting breath
- 48:13Speaker 7: back into lungs, that is saying to folks, you have
- 48:17Speaker 7: your accountability, you have your freedom, you have the ability
- 48:20Speaker 7: to create whatever type of government you wish, and there
- 48:24Speaker 7: are good people in Iran. They will get it done.
- 48:27Speaker 7: They will also stop harassing the Jewish community in the
- 48:31Speaker 7: Christian community that is within the Iranian borders, because in
- 48:34Speaker 7: recent years those communities have been punished almost to the
- 48:39Speaker 7: extreme of extinction. But I thought it was very very telling,
- 48:43Speaker 7: not only that this Iranian could be that granular and
- 48:47Speaker 7: specific about all the ways that our strategy is actually
- 48:51Speaker 7: good for them, but that he had the boldness to
- 48:55Speaker 7: talk about the numbers dead that the regime has put
- 48:58Speaker 7: into place forty thousand this year, just say thirty thousand
- 49:06Speaker 7: to three years before in twenty thousand before that, you're
- 49:09Speaker 7: closing in on one hundred thousand people that the regime
- 49:12Speaker 7: has killed of their own choosing. It's so interesting to
- 49:17Speaker 7: hear the mind and the heart on the other side,
- 49:21Speaker 7: because I will tell you one of the things I've
- 49:22Speaker 7: been praying about is Lord. I don't I just don't
- 49:25Speaker 7: want to see mass casualties by innocent Iranians were there
- 49:30Speaker 7: to help them. This is why President Trump doesn't want
- 49:33Speaker 7: to blow up Card Island, because he knows that the
- 49:36Speaker 7: people of Iran will need access to their energy and
- 49:39Speaker 7: too the oil. After the regime has fallen and after
- 49:43Speaker 7: they are able to stand on their own two feet again,
- 49:45Speaker 7: they're going to need something to export to the world
- 49:47Speaker 7: to help boost their economy. And God's given them a
- 49:50Speaker 7: lot of oil. Trump thinks about that, He thinks about
- 49:54Speaker 7: how that impacts families and human lives down the road.
- 49:58Speaker 7: He doesn't like the fighting. He wants the fighting to
- 50:01Speaker 7: be over, but he will insist on this. He may
- 50:05Speaker 7: not like fighting, but he will fight and fight as
- 50:10Speaker 7: hard as he can until the evil side relents. Sadly,
- 50:17Speaker 7: there are a lot of people in the United States Congress,
- 50:19Speaker 7: in the United States Senate that believe by taking up
- 50:23Speaker 7: the cause of the evil side that they're doing the
- 50:25Speaker 7: right thing, and it is clear that they are not.
- 50:30Speaker 7: Kevin McCullough, thank you for being here. We've got a
- 50:32Speaker 7: big hour straight ahead. Peyton McNabb is back with us
- 50:35Speaker 7: from the Independent Women's Forum when we continue, it's that
- 50:37Speaker 7: Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot Com.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Here he is from New York. That Kevin.
- 51:05Speaker 7: Kevin McCullough, Welcome back to Times Square, Kevin mccauld glad
- 51:10Speaker 7: to have you with us. It's that Kevin Show. Yeah,
- 51:13Speaker 7: there's a war, ceasefire, oil, all the stuff that we're
- 51:17Speaker 7: covering the rest of the show. But I still think
- 51:19Speaker 7: I have to clear a path to make sure we're
- 51:21Speaker 7: talking about some of the other important issues that rain
- 51:25Speaker 7: down on our lives because the forces of evil have
- 51:28Speaker 7: not stopped trying to advance. And I don't use that
- 51:32Speaker 7: term lightly, but when it comes to the issue of
- 51:36Speaker 7: whether or not men should be in women's spaces, especially
- 51:40Speaker 7: private spaces in sports and locker rooms, in bathrooms, et cetera,
- 51:44Speaker 7: I just we've got to continue to speak out until
- 51:47Speaker 7: this madness is literally put down. That's what That's what
- 51:50Speaker 7: I feel that it is. Just this morning, I was
- 51:52Speaker 7: watching an influencer online who had a clip of Megan
- 51:57Speaker 7: Rapino from the US soccer team, and she was saying,
- 52:01Speaker 7: once again in her view that the Olympics in twenty
- 52:04Speaker 7: twenty eight, by not allowing biological men to compete in
- 52:08Speaker 7: women's categories is somehow hurting the cause of women. Here
- 52:12Speaker 7: to discuss this and a lot of other things is
- 52:15Speaker 7: Peyton McNabb, who's been with us several times. She's endured
- 52:19Speaker 7: the pain of this issue personally, but she's now turned
- 52:23Speaker 7: her energy to becoming an ambassador for the Independent Women's
- 52:27Speaker 7: Forum out talking about this with people and putting common
- 52:31Speaker 7: sense back into the conversation. Peyton, it's great to see you.
- 52:34Speaker 7: Thanks for being here.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, it's always good to be on the show.
- 52:37Speaker 7: Love having you. What do you make of Megan Rappino
- 52:41Speaker 7: saying that she's almost couching it as though you're only
- 52:47Speaker 7: allowing one definition of women to be established, therefore you're
- 52:51Speaker 7: hurting other women Like it doesn't make sense to me.
- 52:57Speaker 6: No, I don't think it makes sense to quite frankly,
- 52:59Speaker 6: anyone that has any kind of common sense at all.
- 53:04Speaker 6: You know, this is someone that is very successful athlete,
- 53:07Speaker 6: female athlete, who got all the benefits of competing only
- 53:11Speaker 6: against women. I mean, she's she's rich, now, she's famous,
- 53:16Speaker 6: she got all of the benefits.
- 53:17Speaker 7: Cub champion medalings, oh.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Like, literally all the above.
- 53:22Speaker 6: And this was everything that tad on On fought to
- 53:25Speaker 6: protect right, So I mean, this is great for her,
- 53:27Speaker 6: that was exactly what should.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Have been done.
- 53:29Speaker 6: But now that she's done and she doesn't, no longer
- 53:31Speaker 6: applies to her like it doesn't matter. And when I
- 53:36Speaker 6: was listening to her, it was just so funny because
- 53:39Speaker 6: she's like, this isn't protecting women at all. This is
- 53:42Speaker 6: so insane. She's like so mad about this, but that's
- 53:45Speaker 6: literally exactly what it is protecting. There is only one
- 53:49Speaker 6: definition of women. There is only women and men. Like,
- 53:53Speaker 6: I don't know how much simple and clear like everyone
- 53:56Speaker 6: has to be about it because obviously nothing's clicking, and
- 54:00Speaker 6: it's just sad to see, Like, I don't know, I'm
- 54:02Speaker 6: sure there are little girls that are are soccer players
- 54:06Speaker 6: who look up to her, and it's sad because she's
- 54:09Speaker 6: like foughting against them, roten their faces.
- 54:11Speaker 7: What I would really like to help everyone understand is
- 54:15Speaker 7: that Meghan Rappino, competing against women, having done so at
- 54:19Speaker 7: the highest levels, achieving what she's accomplished, could still be
- 54:24Speaker 7: beaten one on one by most high school boys. And
- 54:27Speaker 7: she's probably the most elite soccer player in women's history
- 54:32Speaker 7: in terms of well known and what she's accomplished. And
- 54:34Speaker 7: so forth. I would argue there were other people on
- 54:36Speaker 7: that World Cup team that were better than her, but
- 54:38Speaker 7: she was kind of the captain. So as she gets
- 54:40Speaker 7: all the glory, you're not even having to go into
- 54:43Speaker 7: the locker rooms or to the privacy issues or anything
- 54:45Speaker 7: like that. This is just what is dangerous and what
- 54:48Speaker 7: is good for the people in the field of play.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Yeah, agreed.
- 54:51Speaker 6: I mean, I'm pretty sure they did play against a
- 54:54Speaker 6: team of Hoschol boys and they lost, because I remember
- 54:58Speaker 6: posting about this last time. Everyone in the comments was saying,
- 55:01Speaker 6: I mean, she did play. I was saying, let's see
- 55:03Speaker 6: Ruppino against mess versus Messi, because she says there's no like,
- 55:07Speaker 6: there's no there's no advantage there, so why don't we
- 55:10Speaker 6: see that? But everyone was telling me, like, no, let's
- 55:13Speaker 6: just see her play against a sixteen year old boy,
- 55:15Speaker 6: because we did see that and they did lose.
- 55:18Speaker 7: So, I mean, and everybody remembers back to Billy Jean
- 55:21Speaker 7: King and she beat Bobby Riggs and that one on
- 55:23Speaker 7: one male female challenge. Bobby Riggs was one hundred and
- 55:26Speaker 7: eighty six years old when they played, and she barely
- 55:29Speaker 7: beat him. This this is what we're talking about and
- 55:33Speaker 7: when you're talking about specifically contact sports lacrosse, soccer, basketball,
- 55:38Speaker 7: these types of things where there's a lot of contact,
- 55:41Speaker 7: a lot of body parts that get thrown around and stuff,
- 55:44Speaker 7: the likelihood of injury does go up exponentially. So it's
- 55:48Speaker 7: not it's not like this is just you know, like
- 55:51Speaker 7: racers racing in their own lane. That's unfair too for
- 55:54Speaker 7: a whole different reason. But this is this is not
- 55:56Speaker 7: only that it's dangerous. So let's talk about where thingst
- 56:00Speaker 7: The Olympics in twenty twenty eight have decided that they're
- 56:04Speaker 7: going to kind of regain sanity a little bit and
- 56:08Speaker 7: they're not going to let men be in the women's division.
- 56:11Speaker 7: And this is what Megan and some others are really
- 56:13Speaker 7: upset about. But this should be received well by female
- 56:17Speaker 7: athletes especially.
- 56:18Speaker 6: Yeah, correct, this is the exact right stance they should
- 56:22Speaker 6: have taken, especially after the disaster of the last Olympics
- 56:25Speaker 6: when they let not even just one, but two grown
- 56:28Speaker 6: men win Olympic gold for punching women in the face.
- 56:31Speaker 6: Like it just sounds so crazy, but that was actually
- 56:34Speaker 6: real life. So this was the perfect right step in
- 56:38Speaker 6: the right direction, and honestly, the only saving Grace. I
- 56:41Speaker 6: feel like they could have done what they're requiring. Here
- 56:45Speaker 6: is a basic one time test. I'm sorry, my cats
- 56:49Speaker 6: like attacking me one time mouth swab, which is not
- 56:55Speaker 6: invasive at all. But the same people who are saying
- 56:58Speaker 6: that's invasive, don't think it's invasive of for these girls
- 57:01Speaker 6: to be undressing in front of like a fully.
- 57:03Speaker 7: Gan you can we get some degree of something that's
- 57:07Speaker 7: saying here, put a swab in your mouth, pull it out.
- 57:10Speaker 7: You could even take the swab yourself and then hand
- 57:12Speaker 7: them the Q tip. They don't. You don't have to
- 57:14Speaker 7: let somebody else do it. Yeah, but that's invasive. But
- 57:17Speaker 7: putting a dude, putting Leah Thomas in the same locker
- 57:22Speaker 7: room with with Riley Gaines, that wasn't invasive.
- 57:27Speaker 6: Yeah, Like these people have zero sanity, like you're saying,
- 57:30Speaker 6: And you know, I have a hard time, I really
- 57:33Speaker 6: really struggle listening to anything anyone says if they think
- 57:37Speaker 6: that's ever okay, So for them, of course there's going
- 57:40Speaker 6: to be something wrong with it. I've had I think
- 57:43Speaker 6: I've heard Riley say just the drug testing alone and
- 57:47Speaker 6: for a college athlete was way more invasive than this
- 57:50Speaker 6: would be. And it's just a one time test that
- 57:53Speaker 6: every single organization should take part in. I mean, this
- 57:56Speaker 6: should be like the NCAA should take the hint here
- 58:00Speaker 6: that this is the right move, because what they try
- 58:03Speaker 6: to do is do the birth certificate thing. Well, I mean,
- 58:05Speaker 6: forty four states you can change your birth certificate and
- 58:08Speaker 6: all around the world. So why don't we just do
- 58:11Speaker 6: this really cheap, really simple, really easy test. Maybe highly accurate,
- 58:16Speaker 6: highly highly accurate. I mean the science in the biology
- 58:19Speaker 6: doesn't lie.
- 58:20Speaker 7: Well if you want to be super fair to everybody,
- 58:23Speaker 7: and you know, you can swab men too in the
- 58:26Speaker 7: men's division, just to make sure that there's no women
- 58:28Speaker 7: cheating over there.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Yeah, this is why we let this out.
- 58:31Speaker 7: It never goes the opposite direction.
- 58:33Speaker 6: Ellen, what you would find outs from the testing over there,
- 58:36Speaker 6: because you don't hear from that side. You do not
- 58:38Speaker 6: hear women dominating on the men's side, and then like
- 58:42Speaker 6: they don't want to hear that though.
- 58:43Speaker 1: It's it's this is such a stupid argument.
- 58:46Speaker 7: What's going on with with with high school and the
- 58:49Speaker 7: Department of Education because you've written about this recently.
- 58:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I think, I mean, honestly, I've talked about this before.
- 58:56Speaker 6: You know, it was just kind of this is really
- 58:58Speaker 6: personal to me because.
- 59:02Speaker 7: In high school athletic career.
- 59:04Speaker 6: And it completely like it changed my whole life and
- 59:07Speaker 6: it ended my career. So it's really just nice to
- 59:13Speaker 6: see a Department of Education take such a big stance
- 59:17Speaker 6: on such an important issue that are affecting thousands and
- 59:21Speaker 6: thousands of girls all across the country, and you know,
- 59:25Speaker 6: the last administration. Of course, we give this whole administration
- 59:28Speaker 6: like a big applaud for even taking on this issue,
- 59:32Speaker 6: that campaigned on it heavily. They actually met their promises
- 59:37Speaker 6: really early on, and I'm very thankful for that. I
- 59:40Speaker 6: know all the women and girl athletes they should be,
- 59:43Speaker 6: because the last administration, I mean, it was like we
- 59:46Speaker 6: were we were yelling into this empty abyss no one,
- 59:49Speaker 6: no one was even acknowledging us. So for it to
- 59:52Speaker 6: go to that to where we are today and such
- 59:55Speaker 6: a short amount of time, honestly, it's been really really
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: and really encouraging. And of course there's a lot to
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: do still and it's not done. I wish it was,
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: because literally, at the end of the day, the only
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: people that this is hurting are the girl athletes who
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: are never going to get this time back, So I
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: wish we could get this accomplished sooner rather than later,
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: of course, but just for the short time frame that
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: we've had, we've got a lot done. And I know
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: I as well as every other woman and girl and
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: man that is helping five, this is not going to
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: stop until it's fully fought.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: That's why we cover it here, and we have since
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: before it was popular. You know, Kelsey Bowler was with
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: me for two years talking about this before anybody else
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: was picking it up anywhere. And we're going to keep
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: fighting because I have a thirteen year old I have
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: a eleven year old daughter and she's just coming into
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: that stage of life where she's going to be impacted
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: by this in a big way. And men and women
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: fully equal in God's eyes, That's why he created him
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: and said that they were good, fully different in terms
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: of function and distinction in terms of what they have
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: that bring unique things to the table in the formation
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: of a family especially, and that is that simple design
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: by God is something that I believe we should be applauding,
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: encouraging and continuing to propagate. We need more, we need
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: more kids. And if we just say that there's no
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: difference in men and women. You basically discourage a culture
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: from going down that path. Peyton McNabb, thank you for
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: all your good work with the independent women and keep
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: it up.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: Kevin, you got it. Kevin mccallough coming back. Don't go anywhere.
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: Let's stick around for more than Kevin next here.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: He is from New York. That Kevin, Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: Thank you for being here.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: Couldn't be happier than to have you with us. It
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: is that Kevin Show, that Kevinshow dot com for everything related,
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: and I hope that you will follow us on all
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: of our socials. Be in touch with me at that
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: Kevinshow dot com via Gmail, that Kevin Show at gmail
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: dot com if you want to email me.
- 1:02:25Speaker 12: Uh.
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: And we've got a lot that we're going to still
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: get to, but I have to stop everything at this
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: point in time, and I have to say thank you
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: to a very special listener. A woman by the name
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: of Marylyn, who was listening at sometime late in the
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: evening in California last night, responded to our you know,
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: desire to feed these kids that we've been talking about
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: with food for the poor And I'm just going to
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: embarrass Marylyn completely because as she was listening last night,
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: something touched her heart and she said, I want to
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: be a part of giving these children two meals a
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: day and clean drinking water for the next year. And
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: there are those times when people step up and they
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: say things and you kind of think, oh that, you know,
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: it's nice that they're doing that. I'm glad that they're
- 1:03:29Speaker 7: doing that. But there are those that also that say,
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: you know, I want to use my life and my
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: resources and who I am to make a difference. And
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: so when Marilyn heard us discussing it, and she knew
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: that there was a match in place, she said, well,
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: what can I do? How can I best help? And
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: so she picked up the phone and said, okay, for
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: the next year, thirteen children are what I want to help.
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: And she just gave the money and they're seventy five
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: dollars each, so she just one thousand dollars like that.
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: But she did it because she understands that children will
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: go hungry and die of thirst if we don't reach
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: the seven hundred and twenty children that are on the list.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: So she took care of thirteen. Now what she may
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: or may not have known was at that very same time,
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: there was a match in place, so her thirteen children
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: became twenty six children. Friends, I want you to think
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: about the fact that that's the size of the average
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: classroom in American schools, And she said, in one gift,
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: I want to see to it that an entire classroom
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: of kids that right now are starving right now, are
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: not getting two meals a day, right now, are not
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: getting clean drinking water. She decided in that moment, I
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: want to be the agent that changes the equation for
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: those children. And because it was being matched, an entire
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: classroom of kids is going to receive two meals a
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: day and all the clean drinking water that they can drink.
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: And if you want to think of it this way,
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: for the next year, she just ponied up for eighteen
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: thousand and ninety eight meals. Maryland from California. You're my hero.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: I'm so grateful that whatever prompted your heart, you said,
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: I want to be sensitive and I want to help kids.
- 1:06:08Speaker 7: And in one gift, boom an entire classroom eighteen thousand
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: meals and enough clean drinking water for all of them
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: to go. Next year without ever dehydrating. Thank you, Marilyn.
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: Thank you for your heart. Thank you for quietly giving
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: in the middle of the night. I think it was
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: sometime after midnight when you gave. It was like three
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: o'clock New York time. But the fact that you were up,
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: you were listening, you were moved, and you said I
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: want to be part of the solution, it just touched
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: me incredibly. And I don't mean to make this just
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: about people who can give big gifts, but I do
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: want to mention someone else who I don't have permission
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: use his name. But if you're a certain person who
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: lives in Levittown, New York, you know exactly what you
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: did earlier this year, and instead of eighteen thousand meals,
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: you gave one hundred and eighty thousand meals, and instead
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: of twenty six kids, you helped two hundred and sixty
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: kids because of the match. Two people, different means, different levels,
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: but both people that said I want to make a difference.
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: I want to help stem the suffering of children who
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: are right now aching in their belly because they don't
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: have food to eat, and I want to use my
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: resources to do something about it. And friends, if you
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: have as little as seventy five dollars. Right now, you
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: can provide two meals a day and all the clean
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: drinking water that child can consume for the next year.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: Right now, that one time gift of seventy five dollars
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: will help one child. We are getting closer and closer
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: to helping all seven hundred and twenty children. We cannot
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: do this without you. We need your help and time
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: is running out for these kids. Every day that we
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: can't feed one of them, that's a day closer that
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: they get to possibly dying. So thank you to your
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: generous support. Thank you for your big heart. Thank you
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: for just wanting to do the right thing. Eight five

- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Here he is from New York. Kevin McCullough.
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: All right, Kevin mccello, very glad to have you with us.
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: It's Thursday, otherwise known as my busiest day of the week.
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: But super glad to have you here. And one of
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: the things we do on this day is we kind
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: of set aside the news for a few minutes and
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: we talked to Shelley Goldberg about one little thing we
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: can do in our parenting experience that might make parenting
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: a more worthy endeavor. And Shelley, thank you for being back.
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: We've talked about a lot of different types of things,
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: but we're going very specific today.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: What is it that's right, Kevin? It's spring time and
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: when I think of spring, I think of the birds.
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: When I think of.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: The birds, I think of music. And when I think
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: of music, I think of all the joy the happiness
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: that music brings to us has grown ups, and certainly
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: to our children. It does so much for their health, focus, concentration, relaxation.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: But most of all, Kevin, I think music is a place.
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: It's a lifelong friend, and it's a place that kids
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: can always go back to to find comfort, they can
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: share their emotions and confide in. It does so many things,
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: so many things. So today is not about lessons. It's
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: not about is your child a musical prodigy? It's what
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: can we do as parents and grandparents to just help
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: kids develop this excitement as joy does wonder about music.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: So number one, you want to you want to introduce
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: your kids to all kinds of music, bluegrass, jazz, rock, classical,
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: play it all. You never know what your kids are
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: going to gravitate towards what they're going to connect with,
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: So play all the music right. Be a great role model, Yes, Kevin,
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: that means with little ones sing along to the y
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: itsy bitsy Spider. Let your kids see you, Kevin, break
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: into song in the middle of a day. If there's
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: an instrument that you Kevin always wanted to play, learn
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: how to play. Maybe it's the violin. Maybe you play
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: it already. I don't know, but let your kids see that. Hey,
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Dad's gonna he wants to learn how to play this
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: instrument too. Incorporate music into all your everyday activities. A
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: brush your teeth song, a bedtime song in addition to
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: the bedtime story, a washing dishes song. You can also
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: bring in the dancing, the singing, the movement, the handclapping,
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: all great things. Sorry, listen to music together in the car.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: Share your favorite songs. What did Kevin love to hear
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: when he was a young child, or just beginning to
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: go out into the world your favorite songs. You also
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: want to expose your kids spend time in nature, because
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: in nature so encouraging your kids to hear those sounds
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: that are all around them. And then one of the
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: most exhilarating things that you can do is introduce your
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: kids to lie music, live musical events. It's get them
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: out there. It can be something as simple as listening
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: to someone playing a guitar at the local coffeehouse or
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: something bigger and bolder. When I was at New York One,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: I used to do every week report on great educational
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: places to take your kids, and one of my favorites
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: was the Little Orchestra Society. They're almost eighty years old.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: It's at Orchestra. They bring an addition to the orchestra
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: which introduces kids to classical and contemporary composers. They bring
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: young people ten twelve years old on stage to play instruments,
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: and then the New York Theater Ballet brings young people
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: on to interpret the music with dance. So if you're
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: in New York City at the k Playhouse, they're great.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Every city, every big city, in every little city has
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: a fullesting of places musical events that you can take
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: your kids to and your job as a parent search
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: it out. And the other thing I was going to
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: say and is exposure kids to a variety of musical instruments.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: When they're toddlers, that means the wooden spoon, pots and pans.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: But as they're older, go to a music store, let
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: them try out the different instruments. You can rent instruments,
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: you don't have to necessarily buy them. If your neighbor
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: has an accordion or a piano, go or let your
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: kids explore the instrument. What goes on in the McCollough household, Kevin.
- 1:13:24Speaker 7: Well, Shelly, you really touched on something that we have
- 1:13:29Speaker 7: so infused into our life and everything from just seeing
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: Shan Yun last weekend and listening to the live orchestra
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: there to writing in the car and picking out you know,
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: as we're listening to music, I'll hear something and I'll say,
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: do you hear fill in the blank? What instrument is
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: playing that solo right there? You know what is happening
- 1:13:54Speaker 7: in the in the rhythm section of what you hear here.
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: I think there's a lot of multiple sides of benefits
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: to this, but one is careful listening, and when you
- 1:14:05Speaker 7: can train your ear to be able to spot and
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: hear the things, even in the mix of an orchestra
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: or a rock band or other things, to find that
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: one instrument that you're listening for. To do that type
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: of thing, it also trains mental acuity as it pertains
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: to sound. And when it comes to what you said
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: about the clinking of the glasses, we have a modern
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: version of that person. Now. His name is Charlie Pooth
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: and he literally, and I'll play this as we close
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: the show out today, but he literally sat with Jimmy
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: Kimmel a few months ago and formed an entire song
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: just from a sentence that Jimmy Kimmel spoke in one
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: of the questions that he asked him. And so he
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: picks out the little high hat from on the end
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: of a word, and he says the word bin, and
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: in the word ben, he pulls the to be the
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: kick drum for the song, assembles it all in just
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: a few seconds and then plays it back and the
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: crowd goes wild. But the point is, if you listen
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: carefully for it, you will find music everywhere. And one
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: of the things that drives my bride batty crazy about
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: me is that I'm always, you know, tapping out a
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: bead or a humming a tune or whistling a melody
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: or something along those lines. Because if you have that
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: love for music in you, it can't stay in you.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: It has to come out. And we're very, very fortunate
- 1:15:29Speaker 7: to have three kids who just love music all kinds
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: of different ways. My you know, math science guy, he
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: likes the very rhythmic, mechanical, mathematical precision of kind of
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: like dance and video game music. But my baby, she's
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: into melody, and she's into soaring you know, arias and
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: musicals and those types of things as well. So it's
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: it enriches the people's lives as they enjoy it and
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: as you see them enjoy and coming to life in it.
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: So yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Just drown your
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: kids in music every chance that you have, all kinds
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: of styles, varieties. And if your church going people, don't
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: be the parents that stand there and don't sing during worship,
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: Sing with your whole heart, sing with your whole, your
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: whole heart, your whole voice. Because we are told more
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: often in scripture than almost any other command to sing
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: and make a joyful noise to God. It honors the
- 1:16:23Speaker 7: creator when we use our voice to sing back to him.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: So anyway, enough of sermon keV today. But yes, big
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: big music fans in the mccaullough house.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Kevin, that was stuving.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: Thank you, you.
- 1:16:35Speaker 7: Got it all right, Cavin mccallough, coming right back. I'm
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: gonna go whistle a tune during the break.
- 1:16:39Speaker 9: Don't go away there, stick around for more of that
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: Kevin next.
- 1:16:53Speaker 14: Serving it up because I no drink minim. It's that
- 1:16:58Speaker 14: Kevin show, all.
- 1:17:01Speaker 7: Right, Calvin McCollough. I'd have you with us on this Thursday.
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: It's so much fun to talk about what I was
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: just talking about with Shelley Goldberg. And yes, I believe
- 1:17:09Speaker 7: that you should have your kids like saturated with music
- 1:17:11Speaker 7: everywhere they turn all the time. It's so much fun.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: And she was talking about that famous uh uh situation
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: where the musician said, I want to hear the tinkling
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: of the glasses. He was hearing music and everything around him. Well,
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: we have a similar mind walking around the planet right now.
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: Who thinks like that. His name is Charlie Pooth and
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: this was him with Jimmy Fallon, just a couple of
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: months ago before his new album came out. But just
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: listen to what he does with a little line of
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: a song. He had Jimmy Fallon singing a portion of
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: one of his songs and then watch what he does
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: with it. Take a listen.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: It's been some changes and a life.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: Oh no, it's good.
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: And I like this part at the end here where.
- 1:17:56Speaker 15: Oh no, the improvise there, I improvised. Just wait to
- 1:18:03Speaker 15: check it out. So now we'll go back to the
- 1:18:05Speaker 15: vocals in the second. But we want to make some
- 1:18:06Speaker 15: drums here. So I really like when you say distance
- 1:18:10Speaker 15: that that sounds like a high hat.
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: I can feel the distance distance.
- 1:18:15Speaker 15: So just take the little and then just okay, so
- 1:18:19Speaker 15: don't clap yet, so or clap. So now we make
- 1:18:24Speaker 15: our kick drum.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: Change there's been there's been been.
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: Sounds like there's been some changes.
- 1:18:31Speaker 15: But we got the pitch beIN down, hold on second
- 1:18:37Speaker 15: almost there.
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: And put a little into it.
- 1:18:41Speaker 15: Boom, and then you put the kick drum with your
- 1:18:44Speaker 15: with your high hat and it sounds like this.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: Can you can you can? You can?
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: You just snap for me really quickly? You said, let
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: me record perfect second.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: I mean.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Okay, So that's the drums.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: So let's go back crazy.
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: Let's just wait, let's go back to the vocals.
- 1:19:12Speaker 15: Now, I mean there's been I'm going to manipulate your
- 1:19:14Speaker 15: voice to sound like a little like high pitch like
- 1:19:16Speaker 15: Alvin and the Chipmunks.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: There's been some changes.
- 1:19:21Speaker 15: Why, And here's another harmony a little bit lower. There's
- 1:19:24Speaker 15: been some changes, and and here's.
- 1:19:28Speaker 7: A really really low one.
- 1:19:34Speaker 15: But look what happens when you put everything together.
- 1:19:37Speaker 5: There's been some changes.
- 1:19:39Speaker 15: And let's put it with the drums.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: Now, there's been some changes.
- 1:19:55Speaker 7: And then and then this is the funny parts. The
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: ban did come and join him on the chorus. It's
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: just hilarious. And friends, I don't know, I'm geeking out
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: on this a little bit because I love music. I
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: think music is really a gift from God to all
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: of us. What music does to our soul, the way
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: it wraps up our emotions, with our with our thoughts,
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: and what we can express it through worship, it's just
- 1:20:22Speaker 7: it's just it's just really really cool. So I don't
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: know if you've given any thought tonight to putting a
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: little more music into your kids' lives, but I want
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: to say thank you to Shelly Goldberg for making me
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: think about this out of the box. My kids already
- 1:20:34Speaker 7: love music, but we're going to keep loving it even more.
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: And if I can encourage you to have a love
- 1:20:40Speaker 7: for it as well, wherever you find it. And maybe
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: you're a classical hound, maybe you love the creativity of jazz,
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: maybe you love the mathematics of pre recorded you know,
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: dance tracks and things. But there's if you look carefully enough,
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: you will see God's hand of creation through every aspect
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: of our lives, and the least of which is not
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: the incredible gift that He's given us through music. And
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: it's one of the reasons why I think you should
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: sing loud when you go to church this weekend, Sing
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: your heart's content, sing out the joy and the praise
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: of the Lord, because that is something that honors him,
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: because you are using what He gave you to give
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: that praise back to him, and his heart is full
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: because of that. Kevin McCullough, have a great, great one.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: We will see you tomorrow.
