• 1:03
SPEAKER_01: I will analyze the Cross River rivalry.
• 1:05
SPEAKER_01: Say that three times fast, between Vestal and Union Endicott.
• 1:11
  SPEAKER_01: Take it away, Roger.
• 1:12
  SPEAKER_00: Hey, well, let's take a look.
• 1:14
SPEAKER_00: Tim, as we get rolling once again, getting into more football action this upcoming weekend, a battle of the unbeatons and two schools that are in different classifications, but they carry great credentials going into this weekend's play.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: Friday night, Windsor, the host, the home opener for them, and they'll match up against Susquehanna Valley.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_00: Should be an outstanding game.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: SB is 2-0, and the Windsor Black Knights are 3-0.
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: Let's take a look, first of all, at Susquehanna Valley.
• 1:42
SPEAKER_00: And we know the story program that coach Mike Ford has put together there.
• 1:46
SPEAKER_00: Class C Division 4, and they come in with that 2-0 record.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_00: Last week they crushed Oneana 44-20.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_00: Opening night, they had a 30-6 win out against Johnson City's Wildcats.
• 1:59
  SPEAKER_00: Now, a running game.
• 2:00
  SPEAKER_00: Key for Susquehanna Valley.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: Last week against Oneana, Johnny Cortiz ran for 198 yards.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_00: Always impressive, but how about this?
• 2:08
SPEAKER_00: He did it on just seven carries for the Sabers.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_00: That's an amazing yards per carry average, almost 30 yards per carry.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: Cortiz also a standout defensively.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: He excelled in Susquehanna Valley's uh number one week win over Johnson City, intercepting one, running it back for a touchdown.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_00: So he goes both ways and is certainly a key for the um Susquehanna Valley Sabres.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: Now, going into action, they recorded victories of 44-20 and 30-6.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_00: So they've outscored the opposition 74-26.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_00: That's an average of 37 points for 13 against.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_00: So they'll be matching up against maybe certainly among, if not the most improved team in section four, Windsor.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_00: The Black Knights come in unbeaten, 3-0.
• 2:56
  SPEAKER_00: And how about this?
• 2:57
SPEAKER_00: Not only are they unbeaten, but that includes an 8-0 win over Shenango Forks in the battle by the Hogan brothers.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_00: Both teams, of course, coached by Hogan Tim Hogan and Dave Hogan, the standout coach for Shenango Bounty.
• 3:11
SPEAKER_00: But this time around, Tim's team won it 8-0 over the forks.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: If you could do that, and that was a Blue Devil Stadium, you've got the attention of a lot of people.
• 3:20
SPEAKER_00: That's the first time Windsor beat Forks since 1998.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_00: What do they do?
• 3:24
SPEAKER_00: Well, they rely a lot on the running game as well.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_00: Uh, quarterback um uh Ashton Werner and running back Mason Collie, outstanding, uh McCombs rather, uh, each a couple of touchdowns in their action last week.
• 3:39
SPEAKER_00: Now they're averaging coming in 29.7 points, six against.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_00: So they've got a stellar defense, and it should be an outstanding game.
• 3:49
SPEAKER_00: They again last week crushed Ithaca 43-6.
• 3:52
SPEAKER_00: So they come in 3-0 out of Class B and Division III.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_00: So the Battle of the Unbeatons, Windsor's Black Knights matching up against Susquehanna Valley Friday evening.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_00: So one of the big games coming up in section four this upcoming weekend, Tim.

• 4:36

• 4:41
SPEAKER_01: I want to give you a little historical perspective.

• 5:45
SPEAKER_01: Festal comes into this game at 2-0, and Union Endicott comes in 0-2.
• 5:51

• 6:19
SPEAKER_01: The game ended in a 0-0 tie, but Vestel felt a moral victory because they were the much smaller school at that time.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_01: Vestel was led by the legendary Dick Hoover and Unionicott by Ty Cobb.
• 6:34
SPEAKER_01: This will be the first of eight games between these iconic coaches.
• 6:39
SPEAKER_01: Hoover's teams would win four, Ty Cobb's teams would win three, and there was one tie.
• 6:46
SPEAKER_01: Unionicott leads the series 45 to 37, and there's been four ties.
• 6:54
SPEAKER_01: The last 11 games, Vestal has won four, and Unioncott seven.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_01: Both teams possess excellent team speed.
• 7:13
SPEAKER_01: And you know what they say about speed.
• 7:16
SPEAKER_01: You either have it or you're chasing those who do.
• 7:21
SPEAKER_01: Just to give you a quick roster breakdown for the two schools.
• 7:25
SPEAKER_01: Vestal has three sophomores, 23 juniors, and 17 seniors for a total of 43 student athletes.
