- 0:01Speaker 1: Thank you much, everybody.
- 0:21Speaker 2: But what's going on, everybody? I'm the one, the only,
- 0:24Speaker 2: the W-O-O-K-I-E joined here. By two of the three misfits,
- 0:28Speaker 2: we have the draft score of the draft score of
- 0:31Speaker 2: the draft score, also known as the choke show slash
- 0:35Speaker 2: horse score.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Yeah, all those things. Yeah, you remind me. I'll tell
- 0:41Speaker 3: you why at Locals today. I definitely did.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Are the horse score?
- 0:47Speaker 3: No, it was more choke thing.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh, man. Because you have.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Well, now you just got to talk about this.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Yeah. I just have to talk about. All right. So.
- 0:56Speaker 3: so we're doing this thing where, uh, you know, my
- 1:02Speaker 3: mom's like, Hey, we're gonna, you know, try some different
- 1:06Speaker 3: rules for, um, uh, PV to see if you can, yeah. Prophecy, whatever.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I was like, all right, fine, whatever.
- 1:14Speaker 3: So, so I got my, you know, the one guy, uh,
- 1:19Speaker 3: who's there. He's like, yeah, yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 4: We'll play.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And, um, you want to do Archon, not as you
- 1:26Speaker 3: can really do seal much really with PV. So, but whatever.
- 1:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:30Speaker 3: So I pull out my deck, I look at his list.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I'm like, wait, that's not PV. So I'm using PV.
- 1:36Speaker 3: He's not, but I'm like, all right, I guess it's fine.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Now he's got a, um, a house pipped Arcanometer. I'm like, Oh, okay. Uh,
- 1:43Speaker 3: I don't remember skies, but, um, I, I go through
- 1:48Speaker 3: the list. I was like, okay, house pipped Arcanometer and
- 1:50Speaker 3: he's got red line. So I have to, um, you know,
- 1:56Speaker 3: worry about the red line, and I have to, you know,
- 1:59Speaker 3: save my artifact control for the right moment. Well, um, uh, or,
- 2:06Speaker 3: you know, I've got Solok in my deck, but he
- 2:09Speaker 3: also has artifact control, so I can't, you know, ultra counterattack. Anywho. Um,
- 2:15Speaker 3: the we're going, we're playing, I'm, like, going to six, like,
- 2:18Speaker 3: he keeps taking me off, like, we get, like, through
- 2:22Speaker 3: his deck it's like towards the end and he plays
- 2:26Speaker 3: against all flags sorry Brewers.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Just tied it up everybody just so everybody knows this
- 2:31Speaker 2: might be a shorter episode Brewers are in game for
- 2:34Speaker 2: the NLCS get your brooms out it's time for a
- 2:37Speaker 2: fucking sweep but uh sorry.
- 2:40Speaker 4: If you just hear me if you just.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Hear me just absolutely lose my mind at any given
- 2:46Speaker 2: time it's more than likely about the Brewers I'm a
- 2:50Speaker 2: huge I have been a Brewers fan So it's 1995.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I'll tell the story here in a little bit. But
- 2:57Speaker 2: keep going, Drescore. I'm sorry to interrupt. You go. You go, bud.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so he didn't write the punchline, too, which is
- 3:03Speaker 3: the best part, right? So he plays against all flags,
- 3:06Speaker 3: like takes me off check at six. I'm like, wait
- 3:10Speaker 3: a second. I don't remember there being against all flags
- 3:14Speaker 3: in that deck. So I look at it, and I'm like, oh, shit,
- 3:19Speaker 3: there's no red line in this deck. I've been going
- 3:22Speaker 3: to six the whole time. He's got all his capture.
- 3:25Speaker 3: He's got no scaling ember control. I'm like, I've been
- 3:28Speaker 3: playing around something that's not there, and it's like the
- 3:31Speaker 3: end of the game.
- 3:32Speaker 2: What deck list were you reading?
- 3:36Speaker 4: No, that's what he's saying. He didn't read it.
- 3:38Speaker 3: You didn't read the deck list. I looked at the
- 3:41Speaker 3: deck list, and I was like, I remembered I need
- 3:44Speaker 3: to worry about House Pipped Arcanometer, and I have to
- 3:48Speaker 3: worry about it was against all flags, but my head,
- 3:52Speaker 3: it was red line rotation. And I was like, he's
- 3:55Speaker 3: got all this capture. I gotta be really careful. So
- 3:58Speaker 3: I was playing like super tricky when I should just
- 4:01Speaker 3: been bursting like crazy. And yeah, I lost because you know,
- 4:04Speaker 3: I was playing wrong. Uh, so I did purge his house,
- 4:14Speaker 3: picked our commander though. That felt good. There you go.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You know, yeah but it didn't matter because i still
- 4:20Speaker 2: lost wait a minute so what made you think there
- 4:22Speaker 2: was red light rotation in this deck.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Well it's when you read the uh archon card but
- 4:28Speaker 3: you don't actually read the archon card because like you
- 4:30Speaker 3: just play your local you just look at it real
- 4:32Speaker 3: quick and you're like what i gotta worry about all
- 4:35Speaker 3: right i gotta worry about this i gotta wrap that
- 4:36Speaker 3: oh shit he's got okay that's what i gotta worry
- 4:38Speaker 3: about whatever he you know and uh no.
- 4:41Speaker 2: No no You just saw Skyborn, and you were like, yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 2: Redline Rotation's in it, or what's it like? How does
- 4:47Speaker 2: that work?
- 4:48Speaker 3: I guess. I guess. I mean, the deck would be
- 4:50Speaker 3: a lot better if it had it, but yeah, yeah. But,
- 4:55Speaker 3: you know, actually, I did learn an important lesson, because
- 4:58Speaker 3: even if he actually had Redline Rotation, I probably should
- 5:03Speaker 3: have just bursted like crazy all the time, right? Because,
- 5:06Speaker 3: not like crazy, but I should have just gone. I
- 5:09Speaker 3: should have just gone, because he had so much capture
- 5:12Speaker 3: that At some point, he's really going to kill me
- 5:17Speaker 3: one way or another if I can't clear his board.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I just got to worry about clearing his board before
- 5:22Speaker 3: he builds up too much.
- 5:24Speaker 2: The lesson we learned today was when in doubt, blow
- 5:27Speaker 2: your load.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Just rock and roll. Don't hold back. Yeah. Glad,
- 5:41Speaker 3: glad I could offer this word of wisdom right here
- 5:46Speaker 3: at the beginning of the show before we even introduced
- 5:50Speaker 3: Senior Ewok.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Senior Ewok's here.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Hello Key Forge community, glad to be here. Glad to
- 5:57Speaker 5: be in story mode today.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It is story mode today, because I'll give you guys
- 6:01Speaker 2: my brewer's story. For those of you, maybe you're not
- 6:04Speaker 2: a baseball fan, maybe you are. The Wookiee is a
- 6:07Speaker 2: big sports fan. I love my Packers, my Badgers, my Bucks,
- 6:13Speaker 2: my Brewers. And for those of you who maybe remember,
- 6:19Speaker 2: maybe don't, I've been a Brewers fan since 1995. I
- 6:25Speaker 2: grew up kind of dirt poor, much like I am now.
- 6:28Speaker 2: But I grew up dirt poor. We didn't have cable.
- 6:30Speaker 2: We didn't have nothing. So literally I would start after
- 6:33Speaker 2: the Simpsons because the Simpsons came on at 6 p.m.
- 6:37Speaker 2: And the Brewers typically, when you are in the regular season,
- 6:41Speaker 2: would come on about 7 o'clock, you know. So you
- 6:45Speaker 2: get your half hour of Simpsons, you get like your
- 6:47Speaker 2: 30-minute pregame show, and then you'd have your Brewers game.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And there was really nothing else on at that point
- 6:54Speaker 2: in time. There was nothing really else to watch. So
- 6:57Speaker 2: I started watching the Brewers, and I became a big fan.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And then I just, I've watched them ever since. Now,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I don't watch all the games that's... I don't want
- 7:08Speaker 2: to say it's the same. That's a lot of games.
- 7:12Speaker 2: That's 162 games. That's a lot of games. I attempted
- 7:16Speaker 2: that one year and I failed. I don't want to
- 7:18Speaker 2: say failed miserably. I did watch a good chunk. Watched
- 7:21Speaker 2: or listened to. Because sometimes when you play in the
- 7:25Speaker 2: middle of a season, you have a game at like
- 7:27Speaker 2: 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a Tuesday for some reason.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I tried to watch and or listen to. Sometimes it worked.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Sometimes it didn't. but this is the year. They're up
- 7:41Speaker 2: 3-0 on the Dodgers. They are.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Well, they weren't doing so hot, and then they went
- 7:52Speaker 2: in the bottom of the second. They gave up four runs,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and now they've come all the way back to tie
- 7:56Speaker 2: up the game. So I'm super excited. I was telling
- 8:02Speaker 2: the boys that I don't know. There may be a
- 8:04Speaker 2: point where I have to choose between seeing the World Series,
- 8:09Speaker 2: which is like a lifelong dream of mine, going to
- 8:11Speaker 2: Key Forge celebration. It's one of those things where choices
- 8:16Speaker 2: might have to be made, and we'll see what happens.
- 8:19Speaker 2: But it is what it is. I'm super excited for it.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So we'll see what happens. I'm not going to get
- 8:26Speaker 2: too excited. We still got one game to go. But
- 8:30Speaker 2: let's move into the Midwest Key Forge Open. This, I'm assuming,
- 8:37Speaker 2: December 5th. December 5th, 6th. I'm not really sure.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's 5th, 6th. So 5th, 6th of December. It's
- 8:44Speaker 4: going to be happening over in Kirkwood, Missouri at the
- 8:47Speaker 4: Nerd Merchant. So basically St. Louis area.
- 8:53Speaker 5: And Nerd Merchant is putting on this year. So they're
- 8:55Speaker 5: partnering it up.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Different times. I know we've been looking at October in
- 8:59Speaker 4: the past.
- 8:59Speaker 5: But between the holidays, so between after KFC... And after
- 9:05Speaker 5: Thanksgiving and before Christmas.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Before Christmas.
- 9:08Speaker 5: I know that's a busy time for people, but I
- 9:12Speaker 5: think that it's... I mean, it actually.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Works for myself. And a very money-taxing time. Good time
- 9:20Speaker 2: to donate for charity.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I'm looking up Nerd Merchant right now. Okay, yep, I
- 9:28Speaker 3: see it. Yeah, it's like the... Southwestern suburbs of St.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Louis.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Okay.
- 9:36Speaker 5: So this is the sixth annual Midwest Key Forge charity open.
- 9:40Speaker 5: So if you've not seen, trophies are amazing. Prizes and
- 9:44Speaker 5: swag is absolutely amazing.
- 9:47Speaker 4: So things definitely look forward to for this year.
- 9:51Speaker 5: But I know with it being before KFC, that was
- 9:55Speaker 5: kind of limiting me from being able to go. With
- 9:58Speaker 5: it being in December, soccer's done. So Sheep and I
- 10:01Speaker 5: were actually talking about being able to go to this one.
- 10:03Speaker 5: We have another from the local that may be coming
- 10:05Speaker 5: with us that you may hear of elsewhere.
- 10:09Speaker 4: So I'll let that go.
- 10:10Speaker 5: But I think it's pretty exciting to be able to
- 10:13Speaker 5: have this as another event.
- 10:15Speaker 4: And I actually think after KFC.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Is done, after kind of the big world championship, having
- 10:22Speaker 5: a fun event similar to like Neko being in February,
- 10:25Speaker 5: you have some of these off season times where we
- 10:28Speaker 5: can actually play Key Forge and have a ton of fun.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I like the time.
- 10:32Speaker 2: That was kind of the one I had my eyeballs
- 10:34Speaker 2: on Neko. Cause I know you guys had a ton
- 10:36Speaker 2: of fun last year at Neko. Yeah. Um, I didn't
- 10:40Speaker 2: get an opportunity to go and I'm kind of like,
- 10:43Speaker 2: Oh man, maybe, maybe this is my shot to go
- 10:45Speaker 2: to Neko this year. Um, I don't know how far
- 10:49Speaker 2: of a drive Philadelphia is from me, but I could
- 10:51Speaker 2: find out.
- 10:53Speaker 3: That's like 11 or 12 hours.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Oh, well, never mind. Maybe we won't be doing that.
- 11:00Speaker 2: It's really that far? Damn.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Milwaukee, let's see. From my house, Milwaukee is, let's see.
- 11:11Speaker 5: Do, do, do, do, do, do.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Uh, well, apparently if you walk, that's interesting. It's 360 hours.
- 11:21Speaker 3: That's exactly what I'll be doing.
- 11:23Speaker 2: How did you know?
- 11:25Speaker 3: You have to swim. All right.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I gotta, I gotta do it. It's like a, it's
- 11:28Speaker 2: like a triathlon.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Try again.
- 11:32Speaker 5: All right.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Let's do driving.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Zoom, zoom.
- 11:36Speaker 3: So from my house to Michigan is 12 hours and
- 11:40Speaker 3: 41 minutes.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Well, maybe that's not possible.
- 11:44Speaker 3: You're going to save a small amount of time going
- 11:49Speaker 3: to this place.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Not much.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah. It's a bit of a drive.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Maybe I'll look at the train or something. I'm not sure.
- 11:56Speaker 2: But NECA was the one I had my eyeballs on.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And I know I know to Papa kind of like
- 12:04Speaker 2: cornered me at Tennessee and was like, you gotta come.
- 12:07Speaker 2: And I was like, all right, well, you know, I do,
- 12:11Speaker 2: I do enjoy my sealed events. So are you talking
- 12:15Speaker 2: about Midwest key for Midwest key forge? Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Cause that's the one he.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I mean, he, yeah, he's, he's had his hand in it.
- 12:23Speaker 5: I think that it's for a great cause. The trophies
- 12:26Speaker 5: are literally one of a kind and absolutely amazing. Were
- 12:29Speaker 5: you there the first year wiki with us when we went,
- 12:31Speaker 5: I thought, was.
- 12:33Speaker 2: That the year it was held in Kmart? or okay
- 12:35Speaker 2: mark maybe i don't know it was like.
- 12:37Speaker 3: A that's the i was there yeah that was.
- 12:39Speaker 5: The first year yeah but i haven't been able to
- 12:41Speaker 5: get back since then so i'm excited to be able
- 12:43Speaker 5: to check it out so i did block it off
- 12:45Speaker 5: on my calendar so hopefully i can see some it.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Is a nice weekend event so like uh you know
- 12:51Speaker 2: even though it is during the middle of like holiday
- 12:54Speaker 2: season it is like one i could possibly like sneak
- 12:58Speaker 2: it because i'm assuming you guys are leaving after work
- 13:01Speaker 2: is done on Friday. Yeah, we're going to leave after
- 13:04Speaker 2: work on Friday night. So it's going to be a
- 13:06Speaker 2: Friday night, go down, then we'll crash.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Because St.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Louis is only five hours away, so it's really not terrible.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I mean, it's very possible that I make an appearance.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I work retail unlike anyone else, so the holidays are,
- 13:26Speaker 2: they prove an interesting challenge for me because that's, most
- 13:30Speaker 2: places have a blackout enforcement for retail and my, my
- 13:34Speaker 2: store is much like all the rest where there is
- 13:37Speaker 2: a blackout period. So I can't use any of my PTO,
- 13:41Speaker 2: but I might be able to, uh, swing, swing a
- 13:45Speaker 2: weekend in there. So it's, uh, it'll, it'll be a
- 13:50Speaker 2: last second decision if I do make one. Um, especially with,
- 13:56Speaker 2: you know, just spent a bunch of money going to Nashville, uh,
- 14:00Speaker 2: Bucky's has a lot to do with that and then
- 14:03Speaker 2: obviously we're going to we'll be going to Minnesota in
- 14:11Speaker 2: just what two three short weeks.
- 14:14Speaker 3: One two three and a half.
- 14:17Speaker 2: So we'll be going to Minnesota in three weeks and
- 14:23Speaker 2: look forward to seeing everybody there so.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Yeah Well, and you got World Series tickets, so you
- 14:29Speaker 5: got to think positive there.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Well, I'm thinking positive, right? But, you know, that's the
- 14:35Speaker 2: old sports adage, you know. Don't look past your opponent,
- 14:41Speaker 2: you know. So they got to win this one first,
- 14:44Speaker 2: which they just put another run on the board. So
- 14:46Speaker 2: it's 5-4 Milwaukee. So, you know. Damn Brewers. They just,
- 14:53Speaker 2: of course, this would be the time where they're like, yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 2: we're just going to do good now. They've done great.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They've done great the past decade, really. You're talking about
- 15:03Speaker 2: a team that was very, very, very bad in the 90s.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Very bad. And now is done it the right way
- 15:13Speaker 2: with the new ownership. But go check out the Midwest
- 15:17Speaker 2: Key Forge Open. Maybe we can get with the Papa,
- 15:19Speaker 2: have him on again. We normally have him on. We
- 15:21Speaker 2: had him on last year talking about it. Maybe we
- 15:24Speaker 2: can get him on talking about it again this year
- 15:27Speaker 2: and give us some insights.
- 15:29Speaker 5: I know that the hand does not know about the foot,
- 15:32Speaker 5: but yes, we've already been in contact and we're setting
- 15:35Speaker 5: a future date.
- 15:36Speaker 4: So don't stress it. And it was not necessarily even
- 15:39Speaker 4: our good friend DePapa, but I'm sure we could bring
- 15:41Speaker 4: him in too.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't told about it, but I figured somebody
- 15:45Speaker 2: might have reached out.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Sometimes the wife just doesn't tell you, Wookie. We're just
- 15:50Speaker 5: going to roll with that.
- 15:51Speaker 3: For our cast.
- 15:52Speaker 2: It's okay. It wouldn't be the first time. But I
- 15:55Speaker 2: want to highlight one real quick thing. I did release
- 15:58Speaker 2: the new Archons Corner website. ArchonsCorner.cards is now up and running.
- 16:05Speaker 2: If you guys want to go check that out, tell
- 16:07Speaker 2: me what you think. I don't want to say it's
- 16:10Speaker 2: anything too special. Right, but you can find our most
- 16:15Speaker 2: recent episodes on there. It kind of gives a little
- 16:18Speaker 2: bit of the background for us. It's easy links to
- 16:23Speaker 2: find our merch, to find our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok threads,
- 16:27Speaker 2: Blue Sky, if you're ever wondering where to follow us
- 16:31Speaker 2: on any of our socials. It'll take you over to
- 16:34Speaker 2: DrazScore if you're looking to get some decks evaluated. But
- 16:39Speaker 2: one thing that we've done in the past, but It
- 16:42Speaker 2: kind of, I don't know, it kind of fluttered out
- 16:44Speaker 2: was articles. And Fig wrote the first article. You can
- 16:47Speaker 2: go over there. Break of Dawn is live now. I
- 16:51Speaker 2: know he's going to be writing some other stuff for us.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I am working on a field report for Nashville. We
- 16:58Speaker 2: will play chicken with Gigi to see who gets their
- 17:02Speaker 2: report out first. Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Well, they've done, what, Portland so far? That's what they've
- 17:10Speaker 3: done so far? You're good.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I think I have plenty of time, so I am
- 17:18Speaker 2: working on it. It's one of those things where I
- 17:23Speaker 2: guess formatting it has been kind of the trouble in
- 17:25Speaker 2: putting it up, so I'll get that figured out here
- 17:30Speaker 2: sooner rather than later, hopefully. And then the biggest thing
- 17:34Speaker 2: that I really wanted to, we talked about it way,
- 17:37Speaker 2: way back in the day was having a calendar where
- 17:42Speaker 2: you're able to spotlight your local events. We've always had
- 17:47Speaker 2: a calendar and a map to where you were able
- 17:51Speaker 2: to find things before. And that kind of went away
- 17:54Speaker 2: with GG. And then we said, we should do this
- 17:56Speaker 2: and then never did. Well, I did. So you can
- 18:00Speaker 2: head over to archonscorner.card slash local dash play and And
- 18:04Speaker 2: you can submit your local events. Obviously, they don't go
- 18:07Speaker 2: in right away. They have to be, they get emailed,
- 18:10Speaker 2: and then I will look at them just in case
- 18:12Speaker 2: anybody decides to get any cheeky ideas. And then I
- 18:18Speaker 2: will obviously input the vault tours that are on there
- 18:21Speaker 2: as well once they are announced for next year, which
- 18:26Speaker 2: will be done at KFC, right? I love that go
- 18:32Speaker 2: to confidence from everybody.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Yep. Yes.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah. But once they're announced, I can put them in.
- 18:41Speaker 2: I'll also put in, like, the Nationals once we know
- 18:43Speaker 2: them and all that good stuff. But you can search
- 18:47Speaker 2: by zip code.
- 18:48Speaker 4: But, Wookie, we were told we'd have a summer event.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. It was 57.
- 18:54Speaker 4: It's October 15th.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So do we do the what comes first, KFC or
- 19:00Speaker 2: the summer event?
- 19:01Speaker 5: I just don't know how much I believe what I'm hearing.
- 19:06Speaker 4: And that's different versus our next topic afterwards.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I would have made that whole thing up about how
- 19:11Speaker 2: we're going to actually get events at KFC. I made
- 19:14Speaker 2: that whole thing up. You'll get them.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I mean, we should submit an event called the summer
- 19:21Speaker 3: event and then just have a card that you sit
- 19:24Speaker 3: at the table that says, please wait four to six weeks.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Do you think we could get DeadSync to do that? Like,
- 19:32Speaker 2: do you think we could have him make a community
- 19:33Speaker 2: card called the summer event?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Oh, we totally should. It's kind of late now, though.
- 19:40Speaker 3: They're already like, yeah, already printed. I was talking about,
- 19:43Speaker 3: you know, how at kfc you can submit community events
- 19:46Speaker 3: yeah it should have been it should have been the
- 19:50Speaker 3: community summer event and then it would actually be nothing.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It could be the name of the team's event the
- 19:57Speaker 2: summer event yeah perfect and then well But back to that,
- 20:03Speaker 2: you can do it by zip code. So you're able to,
- 20:06Speaker 2: you know, for new players, able to find. I haven't
- 20:08Speaker 2: found a way to get this out to new players yet.
- 20:11Speaker 2: But you're able to enter a zip code. It'll show
- 20:13Speaker 2: you everything in your zip code that you're able to
- 20:17Speaker 2: go to and so on and so forth. So go
- 20:22Speaker 2: over there, submit your events, and I'll get them up
- 20:25Speaker 2: as soon as they hit the inbox where I'm able
- 20:28Speaker 2: to go get them rolling. Um, and if you guys
- 20:32Speaker 2: have a website or a Facebook account, um, for the
- 20:36Speaker 2: game store that does it, I, I highly suggest putting,
- 20:39Speaker 2: putting that in there for people to find. I think, uh,
- 20:43Speaker 2: that makes, that makes life easier, especially for some new
- 20:45Speaker 2: people looking to go, to go to events because, you know, it's,
- 20:49Speaker 2: I find it funny. Like every day I pop onto
- 20:52Speaker 2: Facebook and I'm just, you know, you're just doom scrolling.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And, um, You know, another person popped in there. They
- 21:00Speaker 2: did a Keyforge video today, and they're like, yep, new
- 21:03Speaker 2: to Keyforge. And I just opened a deck. And I
- 21:08Speaker 2: think it was like a mass mutations deck or something
- 21:10Speaker 2: like that. But yeah, they just opened a deck, and
- 21:13Speaker 2: they did something with it. So new people are coming
- 21:17Speaker 2: into this game. It is definitely a marathon, not a race.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Unlike Keyforge, it is a marathon, not a race. so
- 21:26Speaker 2: we kind of i.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Mean maybe it's like a slow walk down a long road.
- 21:34Speaker 2: It is a slow walk down a long bridge right
- 21:39Speaker 2: so i mean much like the pro much like the
- 21:43Speaker 2: brewers trust the process right you just get you got
- 21:46Speaker 2: to trust the process uh you know make sure you're
- 21:52Speaker 2: if you are listening to this stuff, you know, share
- 21:54Speaker 2: it out, get it to people, you know, so other
- 21:57Speaker 2: people can find the game. Um, so that people finding.
- 22:03Speaker 5: It, that website again, outside of discord, what, what was
- 22:07Speaker 5: that website?
- 22:08Speaker 4: That would be arconscorner.cards.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Arconscorner.cards. So check it out. Tell me what you think.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I know a lot of people that did check it
- 22:20Speaker 2: out already liked it. Like I said, it's nothing special,
- 22:24Speaker 2: but a little bit more content for maybe some of
- 22:27Speaker 2: those of you who do like reading articles. There haven't
- 22:31Speaker 2: been a ton of articles out lately. Bad Penny Press
- 22:34Speaker 2: is no longer a thing. So I know that that's
- 22:39Speaker 2: a void that many people are going to miss. But
- 22:43Speaker 2: if you do like the reading aspect, you can go
- 22:46Speaker 2: over there. All right. What do we got up next? Neko.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Yeah, Draz put in the dates for Neko.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Go ahead. I just checked because I knew when the
- 23:00Speaker 3: dates were, but I was like, I thought they were
- 23:02Speaker 3: supposed to be announcing soon, but they did. They announced today,
- 23:04Speaker 3: this afternoon, the dates for Neko 3, which will be...
- 23:12Speaker 3: on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31st, 2027. So
- 23:18Speaker 3: once again, in the winter between, uh, you know, between the, uh,
- 23:24Speaker 3: the seasons, if you will, and it will be at
- 23:28Speaker 3: a similar location, not the exact same location.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Bless you. You okay? You blowed a lung or something?
- 23:39Speaker 3: I tried to lean away. I leaned real fast away
- 23:42Speaker 3: from the microphone. I don't know how well that helped,
- 23:44Speaker 3: but you're welcome, listener.
- 23:47Speaker 2: It sounded painful, whatever it was. It did not sound
- 23:50Speaker 2: like it was friendly.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Well, you know, sometimes you got to eject stuff out
- 23:58Speaker 3: of your nostrils. Sorry, everyone. Everywhere.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I'm glad the one thing we did do in all that, though,
- 24:10Speaker 2: is we definitely 100% cleared up where we were ejecting
- 24:14Speaker 2: things from. So thank you for that.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I appreciate that. I mean, it could have been my bum.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Could have been a lot of orifices.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Could have been. Could have been. You know... So where
- 24:31Speaker 3: will be, it's going to be at the just play games, uh,
- 24:36Speaker 3: mega store and play space at Lancaster PA. So this
- 24:40Speaker 3: is very close to where we had the last event. Um,
- 24:44Speaker 3: but just up the road. So the place where we
- 24:47Speaker 3: had Neko one and Neko two was a, uh, board
- 24:50Speaker 3: game store that carries key forge, but, um, it's, it's
- 24:57Speaker 3: really a metal. So as local, uh, Well, they make
- 25:01Speaker 3: us pay full price for the decks there, which makes
- 25:03Speaker 3: it hard to get... There's no bulk discount or anything.
- 25:10Speaker 3: So it's hard for Neko to get enough funds without
- 25:14Speaker 3: charging a lot to do anything extra cool. So we're
- 25:19Speaker 3: going to try something a little different just up the road.
- 25:22Speaker 3: There's this... just post play, uh, mega store, uh, which
- 25:27Speaker 3: is a new venue, which has a table space and whatnot.
- 25:30Speaker 3: They're not currently a keyboard retailer. They do have, um,
- 25:37Speaker 3: like other stuff like video games and stuff too, I believe. Uh, but, um,
- 25:43Speaker 3: the owner there is apparently now very interested in Key
- 25:46Speaker 3: Forge and maybe he's going to get into it. So we'll,
- 25:48Speaker 3: I don't know, hopefully go and show him that.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I wonder what makes it, I wonder what the shift is. Like,
- 25:53Speaker 2: what is this shift? There's been a shift of like,
- 25:57Speaker 2: just people like, oh, not interested, not into it. Like,
- 26:00Speaker 2: has the, has the waiting period passed? Like, you know
- 26:07Speaker 2: what I mean? Like there was, there was obviously FFG
- 26:10Speaker 2: burned a lot of people.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Right? Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Like, a lot.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Like, a lot.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Like, I don't think the amount of people... You know,
- 26:18Speaker 2: and it's crazy, because FF... This is, like, par for
- 26:21Speaker 2: the course for FFG. Like, this isn't their first time
- 26:24Speaker 2: burning people. But, like, Keyforge... Normally, when they burned people,
- 26:28Speaker 2: it was... Well, we're just, like... When they burned people
- 26:31Speaker 2: with Destiny, right? Like, how did that not affect Keyforge
- 26:35Speaker 2: as much, I always wondered? Because, like, it's still the
- 26:39Speaker 2: same company, right? And, like... They did it with Destiny.
- 26:45Speaker 2: They did it with the Game of Thrones card game.
- 26:49Speaker 2: They did it with so many card games. And yet
- 26:53Speaker 2: somehow still they suckered people into buying stuff.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Maybe, I don't know. My local, he's definitely Carl at
- 27:03Speaker 3: the Games Keep. Shut up, Carl. He's definitely suspicious of
- 27:09Speaker 3: anything FFG, any card game or miniatures game FFG creates
- 27:13Speaker 3: because you know, not exactly you can not exactly rely
- 27:21Speaker 3: on them for.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Making the game the way you want it to be.
- 27:24Speaker 2: They're such a bag grabber at any run They'll grab it,
- 27:29Speaker 2: it'll be hot, white hot, and then they just do nothing.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And again, they've done this so many times, and still
- 27:41Speaker 2: somehow people still buy things from FFG. You'd think at
- 27:46Speaker 2: some point they'd be like, no, you've screwed me over
- 27:49Speaker 2: for the final time. But that never seems to happen.
- 27:52Speaker 2: They're just like, oh, next FFG product. And just like
- 27:57Speaker 2: Key Forge kind of experienced it differently where they screwed
- 28:01Speaker 2: a lot of people over. And it's like, maybe it's
- 28:03Speaker 2: just finally like that waiting period's done and over with
- 28:06Speaker 2: now where they're like, all right, I'm willing to give
- 28:10Speaker 2: you a second chance and see what happens.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Maybe. I don't know. I mean, this, you know, this store,
- 28:19Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't think they ever did. Key Forge.
- 28:22Speaker 3: They definitely do Magic and One Piece and Pokemon and
- 28:26Speaker 3: whatnot now.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Well, I'm just saying there definitely feels like there's a
- 28:29Speaker 2: bit of a resurgence in people's curiosity with the game.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's going to turn into anything or
- 28:38Speaker 2: really going to go anywhere, but there's definitely this curiosity
- 28:43Speaker 2: with the game. I don't know if it's just like
- 28:47Speaker 2: it's stuck it out and it's lasted this long. It's
- 28:49Speaker 2: the cockroach and now people are like, Well, I mean, shit,
- 28:53Speaker 2: it's been through so much.
- 28:54Speaker 3: If it can survive all this, it must be okay.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, if it survived, that's exactly where I was headed
- 29:00Speaker 2: with it. If it survived all of that, it's got
- 29:04Speaker 2: to be good, right? It can't be bad and survive
- 29:07Speaker 2: all that. There's got to be something to this. If
- 29:10Speaker 2: it's going to go through all the problems that it
- 29:12Speaker 2: had and still have this diehard community, there's got to
- 29:16Speaker 2: be something there, right?
- 29:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:18Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I think so.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I've noticed this resurgence where I've seen a lot of
- 29:22Speaker 2: people talking about it online. Obviously, we just went to
- 29:28Speaker 2: Nashville where they had what I guess we could say
- 29:31Speaker 2: was a pretty successful learn-to-play event.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Right?
- 29:36Speaker 2: We did have some new people, like, just pop in
- 29:38Speaker 2: and be like, oh, what's this all about? And, like, just,
- 29:41Speaker 2: you know, play. So, like, I don't know. Like, I just, again,
- 29:45Speaker 2: it's just my curiosity has been, you know, has been itching.
- 29:51Speaker 2: And I'm just kind of like, where is all of
- 29:53Speaker 2: this coming from? You know, for so long, people would
- 29:58Speaker 2: not touch this thing like it had the plague. And
- 30:01Speaker 2: all of a sudden, they're like, all right, fine. It's
- 30:05Speaker 2: like that nerdy guy who asked the hot girl out enough,
- 30:08Speaker 2: and finally she's like, fine. Fine, I'll give you a shot.
- 30:12Speaker 3: I mean, that's how we all did it, right? Because,
- 30:14Speaker 3: you know, no other way for us nerds, right?
- 30:18Speaker 2: I hid my nerddom, according to my wife. According to her,
- 30:22Speaker 2: she didn't know, so. I was like, I'm pretty sure,
- 30:26Speaker 2: but you know, my wife.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Had to take this class. It was on, she had
- 30:30Speaker 3: to take it. She had to take a history class. Right. And, uh,
- 30:35Speaker 3: the way she tells the story, she's like, she's like,
- 30:37Speaker 3: I don't like history. I don't want to take this class.
- 30:40Speaker 3: And she's like, you know what? I'm just going to
- 30:42Speaker 3: find the nerdiest guy in class to study with so
- 30:46Speaker 3: I can do. Okay. Okay. On the, uh, on, on
- 30:50Speaker 3: the test. And, uh, You know, I just attacked, you know,
- 30:54Speaker 3: as the nerdiest guy in the class and the rest
- 30:59Speaker 3: is history.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Now, this this story, I can confirm there was also
- 31:04Speaker 5: a missing umbrella that was not returned.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 4: We did. We did celebrate.
- 31:09Speaker 5: We did celebrate with drinks after Nashville. And it was
- 31:12Speaker 5: super sweet to hear the amazing story.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Mm hmm. Yeah, we did actually. Here you can tell
- 31:19Speaker 3: how old a man I am now. So we did
- 31:21Speaker 3: just have our 20th wedding anniversary. So the reason I
- 31:25Speaker 3: actually wasn't on the last episode, because we were on vacation.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I sort of forgot what day it was. And until
- 31:32Speaker 3: the next morning, I was like, whoops. But we were
- 31:34Speaker 3: on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and we drank a lot
- 31:38Speaker 3: of bourbon. And it was delicious and delicious. it was
- 31:43Speaker 3: a really good time and I brought home way too
- 31:47Speaker 3: much bourbon, uh, which I guess is a, not a
- 31:51Speaker 3: problem really. So it was a good ass time.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I was going to make a joke that you were
- 31:58Speaker 2: bringing home a new baby, but I had a.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Bourbon baby, you know, I can drink that much here. Sure.
- 32:05Speaker 2: You can call your new child, whatever you'd like, sir. But, um, Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 2: congrats to you guys. How many years you got in now?
- 32:17Speaker 2: That's 20. How many years you got left?
- 32:21Speaker 3: I mean, it better be better more than double it,
- 32:23Speaker 3: otherwise that means I'm dying young.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Don't do that. But do you guys want to go
- 32:36Speaker 2: into some of the... I don't want to hit all
- 32:40Speaker 2: of these.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Um....
- 32:45Speaker 2: We've kind of stayed away from it. I know other
- 32:48Speaker 2: places are talking about it. We might run it short here,
- 32:52Speaker 2: but KFO, obviously, coming out with updates, it seems like
- 32:57Speaker 2: all the time, every day, all day, every day, there's
- 33:00Speaker 2: new updates.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Which is amazing.
- 33:03Speaker 5: This is why keyboard players want communication.
- 33:08Speaker 2: No, I will say the communication has been great. I'll say, like,
- 33:16Speaker 2: Can I just say, like, I really love this team's moxie,
- 33:21Speaker 2: and I hope everything pans out the way they're saying
- 33:25Speaker 2: it's going to. This just seems... Now, I guess, Draskor,
- 33:31Speaker 2: you're the one to tell us. Because this seems like
- 33:34Speaker 2: a big undertaking. And we're looking at early 2028, I think,
- 33:38Speaker 2: is the.
- 33:42Speaker 3: They just said 2028. They just said 20. I thought
- 33:45Speaker 3: it was early 2028. Well, I think there was something
- 33:49Speaker 3: where there was some level of hoping to do earlier
- 33:55Speaker 3: rather than later. I don't know. And there was some
- 34:00Speaker 3: insinuation at some point that perhaps how well it's funded
- 34:05Speaker 3: on uh game found might drive some of that but
- 34:11Speaker 3: i you know none of that i didn't see anything
- 34:13Speaker 3: where any of that was locked in right they definitely
- 34:17Speaker 3: uh you know if they get more money certainly you
- 34:20Speaker 3: could yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 2: If you get more money you can get more people
- 34:24Speaker 2: more people equals things happen faster potentially faster so you
- 34:28Speaker 2: know it might not you gotta be careful because in
- 34:32Speaker 2: these things right The humans, paying the humans to do
- 34:36Speaker 2: the things, that's like the most expensive part of the
- 34:40Speaker 2: digital products, right? The humans.
- 34:43Speaker 5: Yeah, man.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Us humans are expensive.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Especially, you know, highly skilled humans. Expensive.
- 34:51Speaker 2: They charge highly skilled human money.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. Now, by doing it in Vietnam, they're going to
- 35:01Speaker 3: get a better rate on the labor. You know, and
- 35:07Speaker 3: then you've got the passionate folks who are passionate to
- 35:11Speaker 3: do it just because they love the game, right? So
- 35:14Speaker 3: you got that, all those things going for it. So yeah,
- 35:17Speaker 3: I don't think we know. And even if they have
- 35:20Speaker 3: certain aspirations, I think they'd be wise to not make
- 35:25Speaker 3: those promises.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Not make too many promises. Yeah, that was kind of
- 35:29Speaker 2: my fear.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Is, don't, don't make too many promises, but I think
- 35:33Speaker 3: the talking this much about what you're thinking, I think is,
- 35:37Speaker 3: is good. And it gives the opportunity, uh, to get feedback.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And they've definitely already adjusted a couple of things based
- 35:46Speaker 3: on community feedback and responses. And I think that's, that's
- 35:50Speaker 3: the right move.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 35:51Speaker 2: And, um, you know, I think it just seems like
- 35:55Speaker 2: a lot of the answers, like the, I think the, okay.
- 35:58Speaker 2: So the biggest one that we have, um, uh, kind
- 36:01Speaker 2: of highlighted here is the deck cloning period, right? Originally
- 36:05Speaker 2: it was, it was set to a year. Um, and
- 36:11Speaker 2: then it was kind of like, well, okay, we'll see. Right.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. And just to, to double click their backup slightly,
- 36:21Speaker 3: just so people know what we're talking about, you will
- 36:24Speaker 3: in key forge online, be able to purchase digital decks
- 36:28Speaker 3: and they will be, um, you know, in the Master
- 36:31Speaker 3: Vault and all that, the interesting question is, should there
- 36:36Speaker 3: be any restrictions around when you could clone that deck
- 36:43Speaker 3: or how you clone that deck, so on and so forth, right?
- 36:45Speaker 3: Because you can on-demand print just like any other Keyforged deck.
- 36:49Speaker 3: So the initial line that they put forward was, hey,
- 36:53Speaker 3: you're not, wait a year. And the concept was in
- 36:59Speaker 3: the section about preserving physical play and having a very
- 37:06Speaker 3: long waiting period does, in theory, potentially help physical play
- 37:15Speaker 3: because you know, a year later, what's the chances that
- 37:19Speaker 3: that deck you thought was cool 12 months ago is
- 37:21Speaker 3: actually still cool given the current, how everything's changed based on,
- 37:27Speaker 3: you know, subsequent set development.
- 37:28Speaker 5: So, you know, you're talking, you're talking cool, which I
- 37:32Speaker 5: don't have an issue with. We're talking from competitive player stance.
- 37:37Speaker 5: That is this deck viable essentially. And that's what you're saying,
- 37:42Speaker 5: but it is now a, on the timeline that's there,
- 37:44Speaker 5: whether that's one set or two sets later, is it
- 37:48Speaker 5: still applicable and viable? I will say the actual KFO
- 37:55Speaker 5: announcement that is there is the statement is digital Archon
- 37:59Speaker 5: decks will be required to undergo a waiting period after
- 38:02Speaker 5: being unsealed before a clone of it can be ordered.
- 38:06Speaker 5: That's what the statement is at this point in time.
- 38:09Speaker 5: But that's because, one, we have a passionate team who
- 38:14Speaker 5: is highly invested in the game, but you've also brought
- 38:18Speaker 5: in like many, many, many, many different key community members
- 38:23Speaker 5: from Key Forge who are then having a voice and
- 38:26Speaker 5: being able to provide feedback. And I think this is
- 38:28Speaker 5: something that honestly Gigi could learn from is that having stakeholders,
- 38:34Speaker 5: both in the competitive and non-competitive stance, go ahead and
- 38:37Speaker 5: provide some feedback and then doing something with that feedback
- 38:41Speaker 5: is extremely important. And that's what I give a real props.
- 38:45Speaker 5: Even though this is still over a year away, KFO's
- 38:50Speaker 5: leadership is going ahead and working with GG, but they're
- 38:53Speaker 5: also taking what the players of all different skill levels
- 38:57Speaker 5: and members of the community are looking for. And they're
- 39:01Speaker 5: sifting it very carefully to make sure that it allows
- 39:06Speaker 5: for a successful product, And I think that is one
- 39:09Speaker 5: of the best signs of a very successful product long
- 39:12Speaker 5: term is that they're listening to the community. They're providing feedback.
- 39:16Speaker 5: And I'm very, very excited for this. So we'll have
- 39:18Speaker 5: to see.
- 39:19Speaker 2: So the one thing I will say is I don't
- 39:21Speaker 2: disagree with you. Um, but drafts court brought something up about,
- 39:26Speaker 2: you know, not, I guess over promising, I guess was the,
- 39:31Speaker 2: the best way of putting it. Um, because obviously like,
- 39:35Speaker 2: I don't think you need to look very far except
- 39:37Speaker 2: for the, you know, these, this very podcast, which we
- 39:40Speaker 2: used to have a, a, a sister show called altered corner,
- 39:44Speaker 2: which would come out every week. And that is no
- 39:48Speaker 2: longer available. Now, according to everybody, there's many reasons as
- 39:53Speaker 2: to why Altered failed, right? But the most prominent reason
- 39:57Speaker 2: that you'll hear people say is they over-promised and under-delivered, right? Like,
- 40:03Speaker 2: when they came out and the Kickstarter was, you know,
- 40:05Speaker 2: they originally said, you know, it was going to be very,
- 40:08Speaker 2: very soon that you were going to be able to
- 40:10Speaker 2: order cards from the card market. You were going to
- 40:13Speaker 2: be able to do this. You were going to be
- 40:14Speaker 2: able to do that. And, like, it hit delays, right?
- 40:18Speaker 2: And it was all tech stuff, right? It was all,
- 40:21Speaker 2: you know, they had problems with conversion rates and the
- 40:25Speaker 2: ability to be able to sell things because of different
- 40:28Speaker 2: international laws and so on and so forth. So, like,
- 40:33Speaker 2: obviously not over-promising and saying, yep, you're going to be
- 40:35Speaker 2: able to do this, you're going to be able to
- 40:36Speaker 2: do that, and you're going to be able to do this,
- 40:38Speaker 2: I think, obviously, is keeping it vague to a stance.
- 40:44Speaker 2: And obviously, like... We're the community. We always want to
- 40:48Speaker 2: be listened to, right? Nobody's like, ignore me.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Well, no, but I don't know if you guys remember
- 40:55Speaker 5: when Gigi took over from FFG, we were super ecstatic
- 40:59Speaker 5: from the communication we were getting. And then as we
- 41:03Speaker 5: now progress down this journey... Now we've become a redheaded stepchild,
- 41:08Speaker 5: a hellbreaker. Well, no, but what I'm saying is the
- 41:10Speaker 5: communication has really died off. And so that's something... KFO, one,
- 41:14Speaker 5: having an online client is absolutely massive for this game.
- 41:18Speaker 5: And with it being attached to Steam, which we didn't
- 41:20Speaker 5: even announce from the beginning, that opens up a completely
- 41:24Speaker 5: different marketplace in space for standard board gamers and people
- 41:29Speaker 5: who are very active online to have access to this game.
- 41:33Speaker 4: So that alone is like huge.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Do you think releasing it on Steam versus like a
- 41:37Speaker 2: BGA is better? Like Steam is obviously a much bigger market.
- 41:43Speaker 2: But BGA is a.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Much more focused.
- 41:46Speaker 2: BGA has gotten pretty popular.
- 41:49Speaker 5: I think both are absolutely incredible opportunities that are much
- 41:56Speaker 5: broader than the public that we have access now.
- 41:59Speaker 4: And again, nothing against TCO.
- 42:01Speaker 5: TCO has kept our game alive for so long as
- 42:03Speaker 5: an incredible asset for our game.
- 42:07Speaker 4: However, if you don't know about TCO, you don't know
- 42:09Speaker 4: about TCO.
- 42:10Speaker 2: And so.
- 42:11Speaker 4: this is.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Where if we want to actually expand the game, we
- 42:15Speaker 5: have to get into BGA where it has a much
- 42:17Speaker 5: broader board game group that it's pulling from or steam.
- 42:23Speaker 5: And so both of these are great options, but I think,
- 42:26Speaker 5: I think steam is perfectly fine.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I have no, I was just, I was thinking about
- 42:29Speaker 2: that the other day. I was like, I don't know,
- 42:31Speaker 2: like steam, steam is fine.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Right?
- 42:33Speaker 2: Like it's a, it's a big market, right? Like anybody,
- 42:37Speaker 2: if you're playing online, something, you probably have steam, right?
- 42:41Speaker 2: but that's more of a video game i don't want
- 42:46Speaker 2: to say like call of duty but that's like the
- 42:48Speaker 2: best reference i have call of duty type market you
- 42:52Speaker 2: know what i mean it's not the board gamer i
- 42:54Speaker 2: guess i don't know how often people are using steam
- 42:58Speaker 2: to board game besides for like maybe like a tabletop
- 43:01Speaker 2: um tabletop.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Tabletop Simulator. No, no, no.
- 43:08Speaker 5: I completely disagree. There are many, many, many games that
- 43:11Speaker 5: are being run on there. Dune Imperium right now, there
- 43:15Speaker 5: are so many great games.
- 43:16Speaker 2: That people play. I didn't know, for the board game
- 43:20Speaker 2: side of it anyways, I didn't know how popular it was.
- 43:24Speaker 2: So it just seemed like BGA might have been the easy,
- 43:28Speaker 2: maybe not easier, but like the more focused choice, right?
- 43:32Speaker 2: Because like there's so many board games on BGA and
- 43:35Speaker 2: that's where it seems like most board gamers go to play.
- 43:39Speaker 2: But if you're telling me Steam's, Steam's, Steam's hot shit,
- 43:44Speaker 2: I agree. I'll, I'll tell you you're right. Cause you're
- 43:46Speaker 2: more knowledgeable on that than me.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I mean, definitely gives them more options when it comes
- 43:50Speaker 3: to visual effects and animation and, uh, sound effects and
- 43:56Speaker 3: all that. So I think it's a, right. In many ways,
- 44:01Speaker 3: it's a good choice. Um, Now, you are tied to
- 44:09Speaker 3: more of a gaming PC, I guess. This doesn't have
- 44:14Speaker 3: to be a great PC or whatever. But you're tied
- 44:18Speaker 3: more to a PC than your mobile phone, right? But
- 44:24Speaker 3: to me, that's OK. It's hard to play Key Forge
- 44:27Speaker 3: on a really small mobile screen. certainly on tcl it
- 44:32Speaker 3: is now could you find a solution maybe but um
- 44:35Speaker 3: so this does mean not as much on your mobile
- 44:37Speaker 3: phone um it does mean you know our uh we
- 44:42Speaker 3: haven't seen custodian uh in a hot minute but our
- 44:45Speaker 3: resident uh steam deck salesman will maybe uh uh make
- 44:49Speaker 3: some sales or i have a steam deck i have a.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Steam deck i have a couple steam decks there you go.
- 44:55Speaker 5: I do think that if you look through the fine print, though,
- 45:00Speaker 5: on GameFound that it talked about for KFO, if there's
- 45:03Speaker 5: enough money, a chance for it to be made into
- 45:06Speaker 5: a digital client that can be processed through a phone.
- 45:10Speaker 4: So again, I think.
- 45:13Speaker 5: That's absolutely amazing if we can go ahead and raise
- 45:16Speaker 5: funds for that. But just getting into Steam is a
- 45:19Speaker 5: huge first step. And then down the line, we can
- 45:22Speaker 5: look at other options.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah. And the one reason I've kind of shied away
- 45:29Speaker 2: from this is I think maybe we talked about a
- 45:31Speaker 2: little earlier. It's just it's like nothing's nothing's 100 percent
- 45:37Speaker 2: until we're there.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Right.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Like we're a year away.
- 45:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 45:41Speaker 2: It's super duper exciting. But there could be so many
- 45:45Speaker 2: changes between here and next year at this point in time.
- 45:50Speaker 4: But even even being able to go ahead.
- 45:52Speaker 2: And know Key Forge could not be a thing between
- 45:55Speaker 2: now and then.
- 45:58Speaker 3: It's possible.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I'm not saying that it's, I'm not saying it's going
- 46:03Speaker 2: to happen. I'm just saying like the possibility is like, we,
- 46:06Speaker 2: we don't know, like ghost galaxy for all we know
- 46:09Speaker 2: could go under. I don't know. You don't know. We don't,
- 46:12Speaker 2: nobody knows their financial situation. You know, we're like, we've
- 46:15Speaker 2: been told they're doing good and they're still hiring people,
- 46:18Speaker 2: but like, we don't know. Right. Like just it's, everything
- 46:21Speaker 2: is up in the air. Right. So until an event
- 46:25Speaker 2: or until it's here, it's tough to talk. It's tough
- 46:30Speaker 2: for me to talk about and.
- 46:31Speaker 4: See, and I'm, I'm completely the opposite here. Like they
- 46:35Speaker 4: have actually laid out a.
- 46:36Speaker 5: Plan, which brings validity to a process that they aren't
- 46:41Speaker 5: just going ahead and throwing things out and seeing what's
- 46:44Speaker 5: going to stick. They're looking at, this is what we're
- 46:47Speaker 5: running with. And if you have not seen this, yeah,
- 46:50Speaker 5: but see, here's the deal. Like, uh, dress core, you've
- 46:55Speaker 5: been a manager of people for many moons, correct?
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 2: And I've been a manager of many moons, many, many,
- 47:06Speaker 2: many times I have laid out a game plan and like,
- 47:09Speaker 2: here's the game plan. And now we just need to
- 47:11Speaker 2: execute and we're going to execute. And the amount of
- 47:16Speaker 2: times that I've had to pivot from a game plan,
- 47:18Speaker 2: I can't, I don't have enough toes and fingers to
- 47:24Speaker 2: count how many times I've had to pivot because something
- 47:28Speaker 2: just goes sideways. And it's unforeseeable, and there's no way
- 47:36Speaker 2: you would ever have seen this happening.
- 47:39Speaker 5: I hear you, and I see what you're saying, but
- 47:41Speaker 5: you're one listing very general. It's generalizations that are here,
- 47:46Speaker 5: and if you look at what they're talking about, these
- 47:48Speaker 5: are things like.
- 47:49Speaker 4: One, we've had TCO.
- 47:50Speaker 5: We've had Call of the Archons existing for the longest time.
- 47:54Speaker 5: It provides a basis for the card pool for... for
- 47:59Speaker 5: key forge as a whole which is needed as we
- 48:01Speaker 5: go ahead and go on that was the five sets
- 48:04Speaker 5: we expect to support at launch i literally with that
- 48:07Speaker 5: i don't.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I don't know if call the archons is needed anymore.
- 48:11Speaker 5: It no as as a as a base you need
- 48:15Speaker 5: it for you need it one it is for the
- 48:18Speaker 5: learn to play No, no, it's not even about that.
- 48:21Speaker 5: It's about the card pool that is literally used with
- 48:24Speaker 5: all the other sets, Wookie. So if you're going ahead
- 48:27Speaker 5: and if you're producing a game that has actual graphics
- 48:33Speaker 5: and it's not just here's a card.
- 48:35Speaker 2: What reprints are we getting from today's Keyforge that are
- 48:40Speaker 2: in Coda?
- 48:44Speaker 3: There's a bunch.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Rating Night?
- 48:48Speaker 3: Hold on. Call the Archons. And what's that? I'm going
- 48:51Speaker 3: to DriveScore.com.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Go to like GR and forward. Go GR and forward.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Because Grim Reminders is still mostly FFG.
- 49:02Speaker 3: So... Oh, you know what?
- 49:07Speaker 2: Like Routine Job, I guess, is still around.
- 49:10Speaker 4: I think that you are.
- 49:16Speaker 4: How many cards have been brought in from the initial pool.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 3: I mean, we definitely, and we've seen in the VM sets, right? Yep.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Eric Waters was posted VM 26, right? A ton, right?
- 49:26Speaker 3: You got like battle fleet brainstem, right? You've got not
- 49:31Speaker 3: a command is back. Uh, you've got neutron shark, right?
- 49:36Speaker 3: Time traveler, TMTP, right? There's a whole bunch of cards, uh,
- 49:42Speaker 3: good cards from, uh, the old set. That's that's, uh, back. Right.
- 49:48Speaker 3: so graft right international graft um what else um yeah
- 49:57Speaker 3: routine job you already mentioned the schloppy lab work um.
- 50:03Speaker 2: What was that are they are most of these in
- 50:05Speaker 2: vault master sets.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Yeah there's a lot in vault master but a whole
- 50:08Speaker 3: bunch of these that i deemed have been in recent sets.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Wild Wormhole is there as well.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Arise was in a recent set.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Arise was for your Amber Skies.
- 50:20Speaker 5: There are more cards that are foundational because our card
- 50:23Speaker 5: pool has dwindled and is smaller, which is something that
- 50:27Speaker 5: frankly has to go ahead and increase. We need a
- 50:30Speaker 5: larger card pool to bring some more variants. You can
- 50:33Speaker 5: reutilize or reprint a number of cards, but we need
- 50:37Speaker 5: to have a larger card pool. But this is here
- 50:40Speaker 5: for Call of the Arthans and our earlier sets are
- 50:42Speaker 5: being used pretty heavily. It's foundational for building a game.
- 50:47Speaker 5: If they have to build that platform, they have to
- 50:49Speaker 5: go ahead and build, the cards are there. So it's
- 50:51Speaker 5: not a matter of that they're producing a game with, oh,
- 50:55Speaker 5: I have to make sure the game is balanced. Whether
- 50:58Speaker 5: we're arguing it's balanced or not, Key Forge exists because
- 51:03Speaker 5: of FFG and now GG. So now it's just, can
- 51:06Speaker 5: we put this into a digital version, which is a
- 51:09Speaker 5: a lot of work, but it is a different setup
- 51:11Speaker 5: versus creating a game from scratch. Regardless, I think that
- 51:16Speaker 5: Call of the Archons, they are two most recent released
- 51:18Speaker 5: sets at the time of Key Forge Online, because remember,
- 51:21Speaker 5: this is a year from now, so we don't have those.
- 51:25Speaker 2: We don't even know the name of the sets that
- 51:26Speaker 2: will be out at that point in time.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Correct, but realize that they have already talked with GG.
- 51:32Speaker 5: They have gone ahead and created an agreement to make
- 51:34Speaker 5: sure that this is a process that is viable.
- 51:37Speaker 2: They've created an agreement to not do any more PV.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Just kidding. We don't know that.
- 51:45Speaker 5: I mean, even having digital decks that you can go
- 51:48Speaker 5: on and just crack a deck and play, like, okay,
- 51:51Speaker 5: I'm going to come home on said night. It can
- 51:54Speaker 5: be instead of your local deck. I hope that we
- 51:57Speaker 5: can build locals through this, but if someone doesn't have
- 52:00Speaker 5: a local, maybe it's a way that they can get
- 52:02Speaker 5: into the game and then find the game. Maybe we
- 52:04Speaker 5: can grow locals through it. But I show up on,
- 52:07Speaker 5: here's our Wednesday night, or here's our Sunday night. I
- 52:10Speaker 5: use a sealed deck token in order to generate sealed
- 52:13Speaker 5: deck token, and now I have a deck. I can
- 52:16Speaker 5: go ahead and play that for three rounds. It's a
- 52:19Speaker 5: wonderful experience. It's not, I have a full deck that
- 52:24Speaker 5: I love, all right, well, maybe I now start to
- 52:26Speaker 5: go do something else with it on the website. And
- 52:28Speaker 5: they talked about that. We talked about the deck cloning
- 52:31Speaker 5: that's there, but they used essentially a ranked system in
- 52:38Speaker 5: order to go ahead and put people so that when
- 52:40Speaker 5: I'm looking for a game, I don't just get randomly
- 52:43Speaker 5: paired up with the person who is just starting for
- 52:45Speaker 5: the first time. And that can bring a better experience
- 52:49Speaker 5: to that new player, but also to myself.
- 52:51Speaker 2: So, This is something we've been kind of asking for
- 52:56Speaker 2: a while.
- 52:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but like.
- 52:59Speaker 2: ELO or something as to that matter.
- 53:01Speaker 4: Correct.
- 53:02Speaker 5: And so now you have access to that. They talked
- 53:05Speaker 5: a lot more about ranked matchmaking, but they have their
- 53:09Speaker 5: different tiers.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 53:10Speaker 4: And they listed it.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Think of their NKFL that had existed for... different soccer
- 53:16Speaker 5: levels that's what i really picture um and so i
- 53:19Speaker 5: can go up or i can go down so now
- 53:21Speaker 5: i have reason to want to come back and invest
- 53:25Speaker 5: in this game and to invest in the deck or
- 53:28Speaker 5: invest in playing um i think that one of the
- 53:32Speaker 5: key things that was listed there andres you had that
- 53:35Speaker 5: it's only your own decks so that is very different
- 53:39Speaker 5: that's very different from tco where i can go ahead
- 53:43Speaker 5: Like I hop on TCO and I can see, okay,
- 53:46Speaker 5: here is person X. It's sealed and then it's locked.
- 53:51Speaker 5: And then person, oh, wait, the names are literally very,
- 53:54Speaker 5: very similar. It's just someone testing against themselves. And that's important.
- 53:59Speaker 4: But here I.
- 54:00Speaker 5: Can just run my own decks and I can go
- 54:03Speaker 5: out into the larger world. I think it brings more players,
- 54:06Speaker 5: which is great.
- 54:07Speaker 3: But there's two different... So for the... You can only
- 54:09Speaker 3: play your own, right? That's for the ranked Archon. Correct.
- 54:13Speaker 3: So to rank, to move up and down, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond, radiant.
- 54:20Speaker 3: But you can still play open Archon, right? You'll still
- 54:24Speaker 3: see Tootin' Carnage and not Tootin' Carnage playing against.
- 54:30Speaker 2: I forget his other account, but.
- 54:33Speaker 3: It's like a similar name, right? So you'll still see
- 54:35Speaker 3: him out there. I'll go to TCO right now.
- 54:37Speaker 4: He's probably out there right now.
- 54:41Speaker 5: But that's open Archon versus the ranked Archon.
- 54:44Speaker 4: So even there, there's a thought process.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Oh, there's Chimera and Chimera 2? Way to go, bud.
- 54:50Speaker 2: He's testing something.
- 54:53Speaker 3: Well, he's playing Alliance, so he probably had to do that.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Because, you know, nope.
- 54:58Speaker 3: I mean, even on our team, how many people, he's
- 55:00Speaker 3: team AC, but how many people play Alliance with poor Khybera?
- 55:03Speaker 2: I mean, I took top eight in Alliance.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Sure, but do you play on TCL?
- 55:08Speaker 4: No.
- 55:09Speaker 3: I mean, there was nine players, so that is a feat.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Drez, you're not here to hear this. Wookiee, by taking
- 55:17Speaker 5: eighth at Nashville, which again was our largest vault of
- 55:21Speaker 5: the year for total number of players. Wookiee, what was
- 55:26Speaker 5: your record.
- 55:27Speaker 4: In that Alliance?
- 55:29Speaker 2: One and three.
- 55:30Speaker 4: And the one win came from a bye. Okay.
- 55:37Speaker 3: Nice.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Nice. Hey, don't you yuck my yum. I still placed
- 55:43Speaker 2: top eight. Why are you trying to take that away
- 55:45Speaker 2: from me?
- 55:46Speaker 3: Because you took it away.
- 55:47Speaker 5: You took it away from one of Draskor's locals. That's
- 55:53Speaker 5: what you did.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Well, I mean, it was their fault for playing Alliance.
- 55:59Speaker 2: You should have just played Archon, like all the other
- 56:01Speaker 2: smart people.
- 56:04Speaker 5: There will be like all the ABR games that are
- 56:08Speaker 5: odd sets of matches will be also applicable. So we
- 56:14Speaker 5: not only have ranked Archon and open Archon, but you
- 56:17Speaker 5: could play Reversal.
- 56:19Speaker 4: You could play that shall not be named.
- 56:23Speaker 5: No, but like, thou that shall not be named, that
- 56:25Speaker 5: other cast we talk about that.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Begins with an A!
- 56:29Speaker 1: Why?
- 56:30Speaker 4: Thou that shall not be named.
- 56:32Speaker 3: I mean, that is far more in the spirit of
- 56:35Speaker 3: Keyforged than Alliances. It really is.
- 56:38Speaker 4: But no, I like the idea. And to have these.
- 56:42Speaker 5: things laid out that you can see, okay, this is
- 56:45Speaker 5: what I get to look forward to. Here's sets immediately.
- 56:47Speaker 5: Here's I can play sealed, which is the best way
- 56:50Speaker 5: to play this game. Oh, I can go ahead and
- 56:53Speaker 5: I have reason to come back because I can try
- 56:55Speaker 5: and level up. Matchmaking is going to be then what
- 57:01Speaker 5: it's like. All these are amazing, amazing assets. And we
- 57:05Speaker 5: haven't even gotten to the last little bit that they've
- 57:07Speaker 5: talked about.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 57:11Speaker 5: So daily quests and weekly quests, again, reasons to come back.
- 57:16Speaker 4: Right now, we have a dwindling population.
- 57:18Speaker 5: One, because there's no marketing and no local play, which
- 57:22Speaker 5: means that if you're finding out about this game, how
- 57:25Speaker 5: is that happening? Who introduced the game to you? So
- 57:29Speaker 5: even with KFO, when it was announced, the influx of
- 57:32Speaker 5: players returning and new who are hearing about this, it
- 57:36Speaker 5: is drawing attention and positive attention at that. So I
- 57:40Speaker 5: can see, now we get some people in and here's
- 57:42Speaker 5: your daily quest.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 57:43Speaker 5: Something that I want to be able to do every day.
- 57:46Speaker 5: A reason to come back, a reason to log on,
- 57:48Speaker 5: a reason to do this. And then weekly quests? Yes,
- 57:51Speaker 5: let's do this.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Again, more reasons.
- 57:53Speaker 5: When people play the game, they love this game. So
- 57:57Speaker 5: let's offer options that incentivize people to come back. It
- 58:04Speaker 5: seems so simple, boys, and yet it seems like it's
- 58:08Speaker 5: been neglected.
- 58:10Speaker 4: From others. And so that's why it's, it's difficult for
- 58:12Speaker 4: me to see this.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Yeah. I, I do think it's awesome that they're now
- 58:21Speaker 3: going and doing these daily quests, these weekly quests. Right.
- 58:25Speaker 3: I think that's the sort of thing you need to
- 58:27Speaker 3: keep you coming back. Right. Like I might play more
- 58:31Speaker 3: often because of that. Right. We'll, we'll see how it's
- 58:33Speaker 3: implemented or play more often online. Right. You know, I,
- 58:38Speaker 3: I like to play in person a lot more. Um, but, uh,
- 58:44Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, I'm playing online more often. Uh,
- 58:47Speaker 3: we'll see. We'll see. I think definitely having those, those
- 58:50Speaker 3: daily situations will, will be interesting. Don't know what they'll
- 58:54Speaker 3: do for it. Like, you know, Key Forge is a
- 58:56Speaker 3: longer game, so you can't, you can't make it, you know, uh,
- 59:02Speaker 3: you know, win 10 games against 10 different sets, right?
- 59:05Speaker 3: You can't do that.
- 59:06Speaker 5: But I think more of this will be announced at KFC.
- 59:14Speaker 5: So there's time that DeadSync's going to be able to
- 59:17Speaker 5: talk about it. Riku should be there as well to
- 59:19Speaker 5: be able to talk about what KFO is going to add.
- 59:25Speaker 5: And there's things that we know we don't know yet.
- 59:28Speaker 5: but they will be able to share and we hope
- 59:31Speaker 5: to be able to talk about. So I'm excited by that.
- 59:34Speaker 5: I also think with Dead Sing's action and involvement with Keychain,
- 59:39Speaker 5: like some of the achievements that were brought in can
- 59:43Speaker 5: go ahead and be brought into KFO. So the merging
- 59:48Speaker 5: of passionate community members and an online presence can only
- 59:53Speaker 5: help this game. If nothing else, it can only help
- 59:56Speaker 5: this game.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: I'm excited. I'm excited.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: I think we lost Wiki.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Did we lose him? He's muted.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I am muted because I am cramping. And I don't
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: want to hear anybody hear me in pain.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe the Brewers were doing particularly well.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Cramps on my right side. Brewers are up 5-4. We
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: have ended the eighth. We are headed to the top
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: of the ninth. I am hoping right now McGill is
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: coming in, and he's going to shut it down. No,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: he wouldn't be coming in. Brewers are going up because
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: we're in L.A., so Brewers are coming up. Maybe they
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: can add a couple insurance runs. This has been a
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: hell of a game, guys. Let me tell you, going
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: down 4-0 at the bottom of the second and then
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: battling all the way back. I mean, wow. Wow. This
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: is a Dodgers team. $ 330 million is their payroll.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure that could bankroll. That's how I'm going
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: to spin this around here.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: That's almost as high as the Archon's Corner budget, right?
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: It's about $ 330 million above our budget.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Yeah, we do this shit for free, bruh.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: We got all those seven patrons i'm doing it for
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: negative money with dry score.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Same i'm i'm not i'm right where i'm right where
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you are too because i am also in the negative
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: money now that i have a website as well.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: So so we got uh but i've actually been working
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: on some new some some interesting new features i'm i'm
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: testing out so.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Did you guys talk about the daily and weekly quests
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: i kind of maybe we'll cap it off with this
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: you talked about that already.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: A little bit. A little bit. What are you hoping for?
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: What are you hoping to see, Wookie?
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: I'm just wondering because like, okay, daily quests, weekly quests,
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: like daily quests, my assumption is it's going to be like,
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: it's got to be something that's somewhat easy, right? You know,
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: play a deck from.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: X set or with X house or.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: That has a forge forge forge a key forge three
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: keys forge a key using a key cheat you know
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: stuff like that.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: Play x amount of creatures play x amount of right
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: actions artifacts operates things in the sword.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Um i know there's been talk about oh it's gonna
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: push you to play other decks I don't know if
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: I want to see that or if I don't want
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: to see that, because, like, at the end of the day,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: I want to play what I want to play, right?
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: I don't want to have to go digging through my
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: collection to, you know, find trash. I'm not that player
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: where I'm like, let me go find that awesome deck
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: that has a key to darkness in it. That's not me.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: That's not who I am. You know what I mean?
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. You know, that is an interesting thought. There are
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: different types of players, and perhaps they should have different
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: daily quest types for the different types of players, because
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: there's definitely players who want to play that random weird deck.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: And then I know there was talks about a pass,
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: like a monthly pass or something. I don't know what
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: that would all... A lot... Again, it just... It seems
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: like they're taking on a lot very quickly, but maybe
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: this has been stuff they've been talking about for a
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: year already. I don't know. I don't want it to
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: be a thing where it comes out and it's just like, well,
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: you can play games on it. None of these other
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: things are ready. We'll release them as they're ready.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: So when you're talking about vault passives, Basically, it's something
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: for players to be able to climb. So seasonal vault pass,
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: and it's not all flushed out yet, and that's okay.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: They're still in this development.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: See, because when I think of the passes, it's like
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: you've got a mobile game, you've got a season pass.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Think of like Marvel Snap, right? Remember that was real big.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: I don't know if it's big anymore. Maybe it still is.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I think people still play it. Yeah. Excuse me. You
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: got like an alternate art of whatever the hero of
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Spider-Man or whatever the hero.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: But that's that's that's what I was getting to.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: Basically, as a result of going through or passing through
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: a series of matches, you're going to get a mix
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: of digital or spendable currency in the game and exclusive
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: personalized items.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: So things to bling out.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Your what you're looking at for your screen is might
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: be a different background might be like who knows what
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: all of that will entail and then spendable currency so
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: again more reasons to.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Another Brewers run let's fucking go boys let's fucking go sorry.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Maybe that'll be a Brewers season pass and then you
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: can get your you.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Know could you imagine a KFO collab with the MLB
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: oh my god I would play that season I'd play
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: the fuck out of that season.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Thank you for all the donations tonight oh.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Man make it happen or if you could do like
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: a liquid death collab I just found out that flip
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: 7 has a liquid death collab so now I gotta
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: buy it.
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: See so you're interested because of the collab that's there
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: oh absolutely I will.
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: Say one of the things that.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: Has been met with some hesitation in the past was
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: talked about and that's data Um, so I've seen a
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: little bit of talk online in regards to what will happen.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: So if, if games are being played and there's a
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: lot more games, what happens to the data that's collected?
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: And they did talk about deck mastery.
- 1:06:08Speaker 5: So one, we can showcase players proficiency with specific decks
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: through their playback history.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: Um, so you can see how many times she plays fraud.
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: Well, no, it goes a lot deeper than that.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: The intent to build a statistics page and log in
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: game stats from your matches. Um, So it's both cool
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: in that, like, hey, we saw who went ahead and
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: played the most actions or who had the most key
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: cheats or who was able to go ahead and achieve
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: this X task. That tracker that existed previously incentivized a
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: number of people. But it also really can be used
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: if it is not just how that data is collected
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: and allowed to be shared with everyone i as long
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: as it's openly shared with everyone i think that's fine
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: but that has been an issue in the past where
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: if information is not openly shared with everyone if just
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: let's say that's.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Okay but then the other problem is too if i
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: don't want my information shared i think that is a
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: thing that needs to be recognized that's that's.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Where the concern is Yeah, I mean, so I don't
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: think it would be good if it's like, I want
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: to specifically look up, you know, all of Ewoks, you know,
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: exact information for some specific deck he plays. Like, I
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: don't think that's good, right?
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: But Drez, that's what it specifically says. The general idea
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: is that we want players and their decks to have
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: stats and histories that.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Can be viewed.
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: Maybe even glean some insights about your own particular play style.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: It can help you if you're like, hey, I'm playing
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: this house most often. But it can also be used
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: against you in a vault where it's like, well, X
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: player is going to play this deck.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: And guess what? I just have to go ahead and
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: make sure that....
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: I shouldn't be able to look up your specific information,
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: but what I should be able to see, and I
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: think everybody wants to see is what are, what's your
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: own information and then what's the global, uh, information. Yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: How it relates to everyone.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Like this card, how well, you know, um, how
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: well does this card do? Right. How well you can
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: break it down by, you know, versus, you know, set
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: on set or, versus other houses or whatever. I don't know.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: You can, you can break it down to some extent,
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: but it shouldn't be personally identifiable.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: So, um, I think there's a lot of room to
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: play in there. Um, like, you know, you, you guys have.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Asked me before, but again, if, if I don't want
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: any of my information collected, I should be able to
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: opt out of that.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: And there is time for those decisions to be made.
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: Um, so we'll, we'll have to see, but that's why having,
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: having a stance from.
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: All of us as community members can talk is important.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: If you remember Kip, like that was, that was a
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: huge thing. And there was, I mean, I'm just going
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: to go ahead and say it. There was shenanigans afoot, right? Now,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: you know, and it's just like, if I don't want
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: my information being used in your database, I should have
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: the ability to opt out.
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: I don't want my information stored. I don't want it
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: shared with anybody. I don't, you know, so on and
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: so forth. So, I mean, obviously that's going to have
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: to be something that's talked about at a later date,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: or maybe it's already been talked about. I mean, because, like,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: for me personally, it's like, yeah, no, I don't want
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: my information shared or stored anywhere.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: Yeah, well, so if your information is not saved or stored,
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: then you probably also won't have access to your own information, right?
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Right, and that's fine by me, right? Like, that's the trade-off,
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: and that's a trade-off I'm willing to make.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: But I can't say everybody, and that's obviously, again, something,
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: that's a choice everyone's going to have to make once
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: they get to it. But, you know, I agree with you. Like,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: I don't think, like, people should, there should be, like,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: I should be able to see mine and then, like,
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: a global version where I can see kind of, oh,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: this is, you know, this card's win rate is this.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: This card's win rate is that. You know, so on.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: You know, like, we. We used to have a lot
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: of that data and now I don't know if we
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: still do. I think SAS used to have a lot
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: of it on.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, I've always talked to the past about
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: how that's where a lot of inspiration for modification of
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: various scores and whatnot come from for, for cards and
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: synergies and whatnot is those that came from FFG for
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: that in-person play.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Without that, There's a number of reasons why one might
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: argue that SAS is maybe slightly less accurate than it
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: used to be, but that's probably a driver, right? You
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: don't have that feedback loop. We don't have that feedback
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: loop for, for draft score. All we have is our
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: community users telling us we're wrong about cards. So yeah, Um, yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: which you should go do, by the way, you should
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: go to draftscore.com and we see log in, right? We
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: see a card that you don't like how we rated it.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: Set your own rating. And then in the future, we will.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: And you can get there and you can get to
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: draftscore through archonscorner.cards.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: I will say, boys, I'm excited for KFC in a
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: few weeks to be able to see everyone from around
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: the world and to play some amazing Key Forge. But
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: I'm also excited that we're going to get to hear
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: more about the KFO. And so I'm sure we'll talk
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: about more in the future, but I think that is
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: a perfect spot to be able to see, hey, let's
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: see what else is going to come from it.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: More than likely, I'll stream most of these because that's
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: what I do. I've streamed all the other past events.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: I've tried to get the best audio I could. We'll
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: try again this year. I know it's been tough in
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: years past. They won't. For whatever reason, they won't let
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: me mic the talkers, but it is what it is.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: They say it interferes with their stuff, and I'm like,
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: I don't understand how my mic interferes with your, like
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: it shouldn't interfere at all. Or do you, like, I
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: don't know, whatever. It is what it is, but it
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: is the bottom of the ninth. They're up six to four.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: I need to go watch a celebration, it sounds like.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: I don't know how many outs are left in this game,
