- 0:00Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gadigal Land Always was, always
- 0:03Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal Land. Hey Chicks, I'm out and this
- 0:12Speaker 1: is two broa Chicks to show that shares life lessens
- 0:14Speaker 1: and tips to help make you rich in live and
- 0:18Speaker 1: we are back for another Tuesday episode.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Welcome. Yeah, so much, so much to talk about.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I know, I feel like it's been ages since we
- 0:27Speaker 1: record it, but it's literally just been one week.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like I've lived a thousand lives this week.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Yeah, this time of view is always like that. It's
- 0:34Speaker 2: a Black Friday. It's black lung pop. Yeah literally, yeah,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Black Friday Bonanza.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Speaking of today, we are sharing our Black Friday wish
- 0:43Speaker 1: list of the best things to buy, but are also
- 0:46Speaker 1: going to get a bit spicy and share the worst
- 0:48Speaker 1: things to buy or what we're not buying.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Because it's fun and this was my popular demand. Oh
- 0:55Speaker 2: my god.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We put up an Instagram story and because we were
- 0:59Speaker 1: trying to pick between two episodes, because we obviously did
- 1:01Speaker 1: up Like Friday episode last week, and we were wondering
- 1:04Speaker 1: whether or not to do our wish list episode or
- 1:07Speaker 1: to do how to be Whimsy or how to add
- 1:09Speaker 1: more whimsy into your life, and this got like eighty
- 1:12Speaker 1: five percent of the votes, and I was like, okay,
- 1:16Speaker 1: but don't worry. We did get like heaps of messages
- 1:19Speaker 1: being like both, So both will be coming, we promise.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we just wanted to prioritize obviously.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, before we get into the episode, we will
- 1:30Speaker 1: be discussing our obsessions.
- 1:32Speaker 2: My obsession of the week is Paula's Choice. Oh I not,
- 1:36Speaker 2: I know which's my obsession every week?
- 1:38Speaker 5: I was gonna say, let's be honest, it's probably not
- 1:41Speaker 5: really an obsession of the week.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's a lifeline. It's an obsession of the year, you know.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Yeah, we've mentioned Paula's Choice on the show many many times.
- 1:48Speaker 5: They're doing twenty five percent off for Black Friday. Sight wide.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It's so rare to get good beauty sales too, right,
- 1:55Speaker 3: And Paula's.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Choice is one of those brands, like they're a cult
- 1:58Speaker 5: favorite and it's such a good opportunity to pick up
- 2:02Speaker 5: some of your favorite products or try something new and
- 2:05Speaker 5: save some money. And with their Black Friday sal you
- 2:08Speaker 5: also get a free product when you spend one hundred
- 2:12Speaker 5: and twenty dollars during their Black Friday sal.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So the free product that you get.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Is their new mendelic acid and lactic acid liquid exfoliant
- 2:21Speaker 5: cool and it's super gentle and suited to all skin types,
- 2:25Speaker 5: which is music to my ears because I do tend
- 2:28Speaker 5: to go on the more sensitive side. So yeah, I
- 2:30Speaker 5: think it's a great way to try a new product
- 2:33Speaker 5: while you're also shopping like the products that you.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Love on Black Friday, your staples, you're tried and true.
- 2:38Speaker 5: So it does kick off next Thursday, the twenty seventh
- 2:41Speaker 5: of November, and wraps up on the second of December.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So market calendars, what's yours.
- 2:48Speaker 1: My obsession of the wheek is our Black Friday sales
- 2:52Speaker 1: tree sheet again.
- 2:53Speaker 2: But wait, there's more. There's more.
- 2:56Speaker 1: My obsession is that we had a goal to raise
- 2:59Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars charity by the end of Black Friday,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and we've already hit that, which is just so freaking cool. Like,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I love that we've started doing this, and I was
- 3:12Speaker 1: checking the numbers and the fact that we are still
- 3:15Speaker 1: two weeks away from Black Friday and we've raised over
- 3:18Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars for charity is just so amazing and
- 3:22Speaker 1: so cool, and I'm just so proud of, you know,
- 3:26Speaker 1: all the work and hours that we put into this
- 3:28Speaker 1: so that.
- 3:29Speaker 2: We can do that.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So yeah, if you do want to shop Black Friday
- 3:33Speaker 1: sales and donate to charity, use our Black Friday Sales cheat.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Sheet because it's going to a good cause.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And yes, it's sometimes like some affiliate revenue that we
- 3:42Speaker 1: get is like two dollars, but that's still it's adding art.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It's so amazing and I'm just so excited. So we're
- 3:50Speaker 1: going to be announcing the charities that we're donating too soon.
- 3:53Speaker 2: We have to kind of go through all the submissions
- 3:54Speaker 2: and so many.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so many, and see you know what majority
- 3:59Speaker 1: have said and also what we feel super aligned to.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It's gonna be really hard.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Obviously, we would love to donate to every single one,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but we pick three every sale event, so we'll be
- 4:09Speaker 1: announcing that top three soon.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But again, I don't want anyone to think that any
- 4:14Speaker 2: weren't worthy. They're all worthy. And then my other obsession
- 4:19Speaker 2: of the week is.
- 4:22Speaker 1: This treatment that I've just had, and Hailey Baber gets
- 4:26Speaker 1: this skin treatment and I got this skin treatment and
- 4:29Speaker 1: now I'm Haley Beber and I am obsessed with it.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So if you don't like needles, or blood. I probably
- 4:37Speaker 1: wouldn't recommend this to you. If it makes you a
- 4:39Speaker 1: bit screamish, it's absolutely not for you. Probably turn this
- 4:42Speaker 1: video off all like skip two minutes. So it's called
- 4:46Speaker 1: PRF treatments, and they harness the natural healing power of
- 4:49Speaker 1: platelet rich fibrin to rejuvenate the skin.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So what they do is they take a dinty little
- 4:55Speaker 3: bit of your.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Blid and then they put it in this little spinny thing.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I'm butchering this. It gets like the natural substance that's
- 5:02Speaker 1: produced in your body that encourages collagen stimulation, and so
- 5:06Speaker 1: then they place it under your eyes or you can
- 5:09Speaker 1: actually get it all over your skin and it helps
- 5:11Speaker 1: to kind of bring some life back to that area.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And I have always had like genetically just quite dark
- 5:19Speaker 1: and hollow under eyes.
- 5:20Speaker 3: It's just like a genetic vibes.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think a lot of people do it.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Honestly, I've only had one treatment and I can
- 5:25Speaker 1: immediately see the difference and probably going to go back
- 5:28Speaker 1: for like a second and a third potentially, I.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Was gonna ask do they recommend like a certain number?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and like the full you know, result is actually
- 5:36Speaker 1: like six months after and I'm already like obsessed. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: can already see how much like my underreyes have so
- 5:42Speaker 1: much more substance to them now, And I definitely just
- 5:46Speaker 1: want to start moving away from like wearing.
- 5:49Speaker 3: As much makeup as I am. I'm just obsessed with it.
- 5:52Speaker 2: It's so good. And I'll link below.
- 5:55Speaker 1: The chick that I go to, by the way, wasn't
- 5:56Speaker 1: gifted paid for the treatment and she has like a
- 5:59Speaker 1: fifty percent and off at the moment, so if you're
- 6:01Speaker 1: in Sydney, I'd highly recommend it.
- 6:03Speaker 3: She's a small business. I'm obsessed with her.
- 6:05Speaker 1: It reduces fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, all of that
- 6:10Speaker 1: fun stuff, and.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. Oh I'm excited to check back
- 6:14Speaker 2: in in six months.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I know, track like that before and after of it
- 6:18Speaker 1: a lot more. But yeah, I'm herey beba.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I mean, clearly, how's just how's just a mebee?
- 6:26Speaker 5: We really need to do that thing that's like yeah
- 6:29Speaker 5: the phone and we guess yeah yeah, but we say.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So many I could absolutely imagine us sitting there and
- 6:34Speaker 1: I've got one on your head.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And I'd be like the thing that we say and
- 6:37Speaker 2: you'd be like, which, yeah, I should still do it.
- 6:42Speaker 1: That and Aaron ginow yew.
- 6:47Speaker 2: That one's like supern ache, Yeah, you like yeah, But
- 6:50Speaker 2: that's the thing. I feel like so many of these Yeah, true,
- 6:53Speaker 2: I love it, like the best ones.
- 6:54Speaker 5: When you watch it and I'm like, I'm not even
- 6:56Speaker 5: in on the personal joke and I'm like tacking, yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 5: saying that I don't.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Have any of the content one hundred percent.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Our best friend Jem literally was on tour with us
- 7:05Speaker 1: and was like, I don't think you guys realized how
- 7:06Speaker 1: much you exclusively.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Speak in movie quotes.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and like We've always been aware of it, but
- 7:11Speaker 1: now I notice how much we do it every single day.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And I'm like, fuck, oh, well, we all have our poisons.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That's the worst thing we do.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Then we've had a pretty good day, exactly, exactly, All right,
- 7:23Speaker 1: Shall I get into the episode.
- 7:25Speaker 5: The first thing on my Black Friday wish list is
- 7:27Speaker 5: suitcase sets.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Okay, there's a story here, people, there is a story here.
- 7:33Speaker 5: So I think it was our first night of the
- 7:36Speaker 5: I was before the first night of our group chat tour,
- 7:39Speaker 5: and you know, we had lots of different props and
- 7:42Speaker 5: things that we were packing.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Of course, all of our outfits and everything.
- 7:45Speaker 5: So I laid out everything that I needed to pack,
- 7:48Speaker 5: and then the night before I was like, I'll go
- 7:49Speaker 5: down and get my suitcase and grab everything was suitcase. Actually,
- 7:55Speaker 5: what really happened was I was like stressed and in
- 7:58Speaker 5: a bit of a whirlwind, and my boyfriend Chris was like,
- 8:01Speaker 5: I'll go downstairs and get your suitcase. Like you're spiraling.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Let me get the suitcase. And he went down there
- 8:06Speaker 5: and he was like, I couldn't find it. And I
- 8:09Speaker 5: was like, what are you talking about, like.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Being like you men, you're stupid. Stupid man, I was,
- 8:14Speaker 2: you know, like when they're like where are.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The scissors and you're like in the second draw down
- 8:17Speaker 1: where they've always been.
- 8:18Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 8:19Speaker 5: You tried to help me, I'll go down and find it.
- 8:23Speaker 5: And I went down there and I was like, it's
- 8:25Speaker 5: not there.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Long story shorts.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Someone had broken into my storage cage and stolen two
- 8:30Speaker 5: of my suitcases, and I think, yeah, Al and I
- 8:33Speaker 5: had the same like matching set that we both got
- 8:36Speaker 5: from Strand Bags years ago and they've been with us
- 8:39Speaker 5: on many amazing holidays.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Absolutely love them.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Also, having like a matching suitcase set just really scratches
- 8:46Speaker 5: your brain.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Everything matches beautiful.
- 8:48Speaker 5: You have like three bags, one for every need and occasion,
- 8:52Speaker 5: and fuck, I was pissed off because I was like,
- 8:55Speaker 5: you don't need this suitcase.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I need this suitcase and get your right.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Get your own, Like obviously, it's such an invasion of
- 9:04Speaker 5: privacy when anything is stolen from you, but I was like,
- 9:07Speaker 5: I really need that.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I've had shit stolen out of my storage cage too,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and it is like a fiery rage.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I had to use this backup one that has
- 9:16Speaker 5: a wobbly wheel that you know is not wasn't the
- 9:19Speaker 5: best experience, and I was like, I really should buy
- 9:23Speaker 5: a new suitcase for the rest of the tour. And
- 9:25Speaker 5: then I was like, no, obviously I'm gonna wait till
- 9:28Speaker 5: like Friday and complete the set. No matter what time
- 9:31Speaker 5: of year, sales season or not, luggage is always requested
- 9:35Speaker 5: multiple times. So yeah, I thought i'd mentioned this figure
- 9:38Speaker 5: chicks as well, because I know for lots of you,
- 9:40Speaker 5: you'll be like shit and it's one of those things
- 9:41Speaker 5: that you need but you only.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Think to buy it right before a trip. Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I also don't think you need to spend that much
- 9:50Speaker 1: money on luggage. There are some luggage sets that the
- 9:56Speaker 1: price is a boring and I'm like, why is that
- 10:01Speaker 1: a house?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Am I supposed to live in the suitcase.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Like it's my com Seriously, Like, after I buy this
- 10:07Speaker 5: suitcase set, I actually can't afford to go on the holiday.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I do think you want good quality, but you don't
- 10:13Speaker 1: have to spend a shit ton on it. And that's
- 10:15Speaker 1: where I do really like where you know, brains like
- 10:18Speaker 1: strand they sit in that middle ground obviously, like you've
- 10:22Speaker 1: got the expendable income and you want to spend it
- 10:24Speaker 1: on what are those like silver suitcases that are like
- 10:27Speaker 1: a billion dollars? Yeah, like they're gorge If you've got
- 10:30Speaker 1: the expended on the income, who might to tell you
- 10:32Speaker 1: how to spend your money?
- 10:32Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Of course, that's the show is called Do Break Chicks.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I don't think anyone listening to this.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Is like, yeah, I know, I sent two thousand and
- 10:39Speaker 6: oh do you know what fucking pisces me off design
- 10:42Speaker 6: a luggage? That's crazy, that's insane, because again I'm not
- 10:48Speaker 6: talking to the billionaires who are going on a private jet.
- 10:51Speaker 6: Right your luggage gets so beaten and bruised.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, haven't you seen Toy Story two?
- 10:57Speaker 1: You know exactly like to spend however much a designer
- 11:03Speaker 1: two cases, I wouldn't even be able to tell you.
- 11:05Speaker 1: That's crazy. Yeah, literally wild.
- 11:09Speaker 5: The last two years, Strand Bags has done up to
- 11:11Speaker 5: fifty percent off site wide, including heaps of luggage sets
- 11:15Speaker 5: like you said, But then also July Luggage is doing
- 11:18Speaker 5: a spend and save and you can save up to
- 11:20Speaker 5: two hundred and forty dollars as well. And I know
- 11:22Speaker 5: that you know they're super popular too, so yeah, there's
- 11:25Speaker 5: heaps of options out there.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So I was definitely buying some new luggage.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Are you going to get it to match what you've
- 11:30Speaker 1: what didn't get stolen? Or did all three get stolen?
- 11:33Speaker 5: Two out of the three got stolen, So I'll probably
- 11:36Speaker 5: get just a whole new set and then I can
- 11:37Speaker 5: still have that other one.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But yeah, Chris can use someone exactly, he can have
- 11:41Speaker 2: the plor are you going to get I don't know.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I don't I think maybe I'll go for a darker color.
- 11:45Speaker 1: This time, but I need yeah, because it got some scuff, Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 1: which it does you know is going to happen. But
- 11:50Speaker 1: that's also a good tip is to go for a
- 11:52Speaker 1: darker color in your luggage because again Beaten and Boost.
- 11:56Speaker 5: But I still want to go for something that's maybe
- 11:58Speaker 5: a little bit more unique because I've like.
- 12:00Speaker 1: A blanket or gray is Yeah, don't get a b
- 12:02Speaker 1: a navy or a gray because then, yeah, you're like,
- 12:05Speaker 1: is that my bag?
- 12:06Speaker 2: What's on your wish list? On my wish list?
- 12:09Speaker 1: And I'm kind of cheating because I've already bought it,
- 12:11Speaker 1: but I feel like this should be on everyone.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Else's wish list.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Is the Kodak Charmer Mini Camera blind Box. This thing
- 12:20Speaker 1: is one of the coolest items I think I've seen
- 12:23Speaker 1: in all of twenty twenty five. It's a mini Kodak
- 12:26Speaker 1: camera that comes in a blind box and it acts
- 12:30Speaker 1: as a keychain and you put it on your keys
- 12:32Speaker 1: and you can just have a little Minikodac camera wherever
- 12:35Speaker 1: you go.
- 12:36Speaker 2: So it's fifty five.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Dollars on Amazon, forty nine dollars from KMA, and the
- 12:40Speaker 1: price varies depending on the retailer. You can get it
- 12:42Speaker 1: from JP High Fi and digit Direct as well. And
- 12:46Speaker 1: there are seven designs. There are six on the box
- 12:48Speaker 1: and then one mystery one, and they're just so freaking
- 12:53Speaker 1: cute and the quality is not like an amazing HD
- 12:57Speaker 1: Canon G seven X. But what I like about is
- 13:00Speaker 1: it's this nice intentional thing and I love a digital camera.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Like, if you don't love a digital camera, it's not
- 13:06Speaker 2: for you. You'll probably be like, ooh, fifty five dollars
- 13:08Speaker 2: for that one thing. Yeah, don't buy it. It's fine.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I feel like this is going to be the next
- 13:12Speaker 3: VI up blind Box.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I did it on my personal TikTok, but that's why
- 13:14Speaker 1: I also wanted to share it on the TBC for
- 13:17Speaker 1: the chicks because I'm like, I'm obsessed. You do, however,
- 13:20Speaker 1: have to buy a mini SD card for it, Okay,
- 13:24Speaker 1: so that doesn't come with it, which you know that's
- 13:26Speaker 1: kind of annoying.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But yeah, it also has a rechargeable battery.
- 13:29Speaker 2: It takes videos and then you just plug it into.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Your phone and you can transform the photos over.
- 13:34Speaker 2: That's so cute.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I was getting comments being like, babe, can we not
- 13:38Speaker 1: gate keep one thing?
- 13:39Speaker 2: And I was like, no, w sharing is caring, Sharing
- 13:42Speaker 2: is caring. It's fair what we do.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I got the one color that I didn't want,
- 13:48Speaker 1: but I also think that would make a great Christmas present.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Definitely, such a cute secret. Stanner the best.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Yeah, like if you were doing a secret standa that's
- 13:57Speaker 1: like fifty dollars or under sixty dollars ten out of ten.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And it's actually like a blind box thing that has
- 14:06Speaker 1: use that you'll use. Yeah, it's not like okay, once
- 14:09Speaker 1: you've opened it just hangs there.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, or like a sunny angel that you would have
- 14:13Speaker 2: never bought. Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So like even though like the color was one that
- 14:18Speaker 1: I didn't necessarily want to, like, well, it's still a
- 14:20Speaker 1: camera that I'm going to use.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:23Speaker 5: The next thing on my wish list is a hair dryer.
- 14:26Speaker 5: So I've had my GHD hair dryer for over six years,
- 14:31Speaker 5: maybe almost seven years. That's the thing with ghd's like
- 14:34Speaker 5: they just last forever, which is amazing.
- 14:37Speaker 2: But we went on a trip recently and I had
- 14:40Speaker 2: it in my.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Luggage and it did, unfortunately get damage your curse with
- 14:44Speaker 5: luggage at the moment.
- 14:46Speaker 2: It's because I wasn't using my usual suitcase.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Who knows, but but you know, it's a trigger. But yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 5: so Black Friday is also a great time to invest
- 14:59Speaker 5: in your at all. So again, it broke a few
- 15:02Speaker 5: weeks ago, but I was like, I can manage until
- 15:05Speaker 5: Black Friday and GHD has up to twenty five percent
- 15:09Speaker 5: off at the moment, and I do have my eyes
- 15:13Speaker 5: on Helios hair dryer, but in either plum or Cherry Chic.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Get the cherry. Yeah, they're so cute.
- 15:21Speaker 5: The plum is like it isn't like a purple, it's
- 15:23Speaker 5: more like a ready Yeah, like a ready brown.
- 15:26Speaker 2: But they're so beautiful.
- 15:27Speaker 5: And at first I was like, I wonder if these
- 15:29Speaker 5: will be included in the sale because they're limited edition.
- 15:34Speaker 2: But they are so I'm very excited. Have you bought it? Yeah?
- 15:37Speaker 5: No, I think I'll buy it tonight, you know, like
- 15:39Speaker 5: I did like some housework last night.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Also, it's all clean, so you can just sit and shop.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Love that love that I don't know. Okay, what's your
- 15:45Speaker 2: next one?
- 15:46Speaker 1: Okay. I pride myself on the fact that I am
- 15:50Speaker 1: a sheets snob. There is a point in time you
- 15:53Speaker 1: realize your frontal lobe has developed and it's because you
- 15:56Speaker 1: spent three hundred dollars on sheets. Yeah. I will die
- 16:00Speaker 1: on the hill that it is a good investment.
- 16:04Speaker 2: You sleep in your bed most.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna say, let's go with like three hundred nights
- 16:09Speaker 1: of the year, you know, on average.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Right, I've made that up. That's not scientific whatever.
- 16:15Speaker 1: But let's say you sleep in your bed every night
- 16:19Speaker 1: of the year, right, and you spend three hundred dollars
- 16:21Speaker 1: on sheets. That's less than a dollar per night in
- 16:24Speaker 1: the first year, right, So I am absolutely like, yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm spending money on sheets. That is my save or splurge.
- 16:32Speaker 1: That's my splurge.
- 16:33Speaker 4: Right.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I have had the pleasure of trying many A brands,
- 16:37Speaker 3: and there are many in my favorites.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I love Sheet Society, I.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Love I love Linen, I love Adares.
- 16:43Speaker 1: But these sheets are the softest, most amazing hyperfixation of
- 16:51Speaker 1: sheets that I've ever had in my life. And I
- 16:54Speaker 1: don't see anyone talking about this brand. And it's called
- 16:56Speaker 1: Attitude Sheets with an E so like attitude but with
- 17:01Speaker 1: an E Attitude sheets.
- 17:03Speaker 3: They're bamboo sheets.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Holy fuck em molely, Like they are so soft and
- 17:11Speaker 1: beautiful and airy, and I just can't even put it
- 17:15Speaker 1: into words how incredible they are. Like I want to
- 17:17Speaker 1: like wrap myself in them and like run around the
- 17:19Speaker 1: apartment all day like I'm in a rom com.
- 17:21Speaker 3: You know, the colors that they have.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I wish they had more.
- 17:27Speaker 5: I wish they had someone girly pop on the tam Yeah,
- 17:29Speaker 5: I wish they had cuter colors or prints attitude.
- 17:33Speaker 2: If you ever want to collab, hit me up.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, But I ended up getting like a really nice
- 17:37Speaker 1: buddy yellow peir and they.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Were amazing and I won.
- 17:42Speaker 1: A second pair so that I can do the switch over. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: and they last. Like the irony of the situation is
- 17:50Speaker 1: like men or boys never have like good sheets. But
- 17:54Speaker 1: I actually discovered them through my boyfriend. But he's a
- 17:56Speaker 1: charcoal gray and I'm like, yeah, that's not get like no,
- 18:00Speaker 1: but he's had his for like seven years and they
- 18:03Speaker 1: still are incredible, So I'm like, I'm also not saying
- 18:07Speaker 1: this is like a it's going to last one year,
- 18:10Speaker 1: Like these last so long and they're incredible and I
- 18:13Speaker 1: love them.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, sheets again, such a good thing to buy. I'm like,
- 18:17Speaker 2: so good.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Thirty percent off site wide our biggest sale of the year,
- 18:21Speaker 1: so if they say that, it also means it can't
- 18:23Speaker 1: be more on Boxing day. And you can also unlock
- 18:26Speaker 1: seventy five dollars off by doing it quiz, which has
- 18:29Speaker 1: just popped off on my phone five minutes please.
- 18:34Speaker 5: In Yeah, but kind of on a similar vein, I'm
- 18:38Speaker 5: also going to be buying towel sets because fuck they're expensive.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Because towels is another thing that I'm willing to spend
- 18:47Speaker 5: a lot of money on because of the cost per
- 18:51Speaker 5: pose and the towels that I have bought in the
- 18:54Speaker 5: past i've owned for like, I've got towls that I
- 18:58Speaker 5: bought when I first moved out into twenty fifteen and
- 19:01Speaker 5: they're from Sheridan and they're still going. They're still good,
- 19:05Speaker 5: but it's time to upgrade. And I did get some
- 19:07Speaker 5: from Adairs last year which I loved, but I need
- 19:10Speaker 5: to kind of like complete the set, so I'm going
- 19:13Speaker 5: to be looking again. I think I'll be looking on
- 19:15Speaker 5: Adares and Sheet Society have some really beautiful towel sets
- 19:18Speaker 5: at the moment. But yeah, because you have to do
- 19:21Speaker 5: like multiple of the towel. Then if you're doing the
- 19:23Speaker 5: bath matt and the face washes, the whole thing, like
- 19:26Speaker 5: it can really add up. So that's another thing that
- 19:29Speaker 5: I never will buy full price. And fun fact, did
- 19:33Speaker 5: you know that you can donate your towels to vets
- 19:36Speaker 5: or animal shelters.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Yes?
- 19:38Speaker 5: I think that's why I'd been like holding onto these
- 19:40Speaker 5: towels for so long, So I was like They're still
- 19:42Speaker 5: in pretty good condition.
- 19:44Speaker 2: But I'm just ready to let them go. But what
- 19:45Speaker 2: do I do with them? Because you can't really donate
- 19:47Speaker 2: them to you know, Vinnie's or something. And then yeah,
- 19:51Speaker 2: so heaps, yeah, yeah. I was like, I'll take them
- 19:53Speaker 2: to a local vet. We can take them to Sydney
- 19:56Speaker 2: Dogs and Cats Home. Yes, we can have a look around.
- 20:00Speaker 5: No third cat, No third cat.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think I can handle Yeah, exactly, all right.
- 20:10Speaker 3: My third thing I'm buying is flights.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Get the fuck out of here, baby, I'm going.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm skipping, dodge bitch.
- 20:21Speaker 3: So I really want to go to Vietnam with my boyfriend.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Next Vietnam, Lily, we've let the dam.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That is a quote that is not Sally saying she
- 20:36Speaker 1: hates never been but it looks lovely. Yeah. I went
- 20:39Speaker 1: when I was really little, but I really want to
- 20:42Speaker 1: go again. And most people don't know about this, but
- 20:47Speaker 1: travel Tuesday. So Travel Tuesday is a dedicated travel day
- 20:52Speaker 1: for Black Friday sales. So this is the day where
- 20:55Speaker 1: a lot of travel brands like airlines, hotels, activities, experiences
- 21:00Speaker 1: go on sale and you can get a lot of
- 21:04Speaker 1: experiences and holidays at a really affordable price, and so
- 21:08Speaker 1: it is going on the second of December this year,
- 21:11Speaker 1: but as always, a lot of airlines will likely go
- 21:15Speaker 1: earlier than that, so just keep an eye out. Most
- 21:18Speaker 1: probably do go live around the second of December, but
- 21:24Speaker 1: we will also be making sure that we update that
- 21:26Speaker 1: section of our cheat sheet with all of the sales
- 21:29Speaker 1: that are happening. But I do know that a Virgin
- 21:32Speaker 1: Airlines one is coming very soon, so yeah, that's what
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'm following. I'm so excited, and yeah, I'll probably be
- 21:40Speaker 1: booking all of our hotels on that day as well.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, because that way you lock in the price.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I don't have to pay it now, but I can
- 21:49Speaker 1: lock in the price during.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Black Friday and Travel Tuesday.
- 21:53Speaker 1: So if you have a holiday coming up and maybe
- 21:55Speaker 1: you haven't even booked the flights or anything, but book
- 21:58Speaker 1: your hotels and book all that stuff that makes sure
- 22:02Speaker 1: you it's free to cancel or free to change the dates,
- 22:04Speaker 1: but you lock it in at the Black Friday price,
- 22:08Speaker 1: which like ten out of ten.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so good.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I also saw She's on the Money shared a hack
- 22:13Speaker 1: that if you book it from the destination, you can
- 22:18Speaker 1: also potentially save a lot of money. So if I
- 22:21Speaker 1: like change my VPN to my location as Vietnam. I
- 22:25Speaker 1: haven't looked into this. I just saw their social snippet,
- 22:27Speaker 1: but I thought it was a good hack. Is that
- 22:28Speaker 1: if you say I'm in Vietnam and you go like
- 22:32Speaker 1: Australia to Vietnam, Vietnam to Australia like obviously two from
- 22:36Speaker 1: blah blah blah. If you book it from the destination,
- 22:39Speaker 1: it can work out a lot more affordable.
- 22:42Speaker 2: That's interesting. So it's always good to.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Have a look and always do it in incognito mode
- 22:47Speaker 1: because your cookies drop.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And they will give you a more expensive light.
- 22:53Speaker 3: But yeah, and I'm going to changes me points yay,
- 22:57Speaker 3: eaving me.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Points, good girl.
- 22:59Speaker 3: But yeah, hopefully doesn't mist to this surprise.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Magles. Expect some Vietnam content next year.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I have one more thing that I bought already, but
- 23:12Speaker 1: I will be repurchasing because it's a subscription and it
- 23:16Speaker 1: is my one pass membership.
- 23:19Speaker 2: So if you.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Often frequent Kmart, Target, office works, Bunnings, you would have
- 23:26Speaker 1: seen that little like one pass logo or the little
- 23:29Speaker 1: birdie right it's.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Gonna say the Bardi and you'd probably be.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Like, oh, yeah, whatever, blah blah, blah No. So at
- 23:36Speaker 1: the moment, the one pass membership is twenty dollars. It's
- 23:40Speaker 1: fifty percent off for new members, but I'm pretty sure mine,
- 23:44Speaker 1: just like rolls over, I'll have to look into it.
- 23:46Speaker 2: To be honest.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Even if it's not, it goes up to forty dollars,
- 23:49Speaker 1: and it's still worth it in my mind because it
- 23:51Speaker 1: means you get free shipping on all of your kmart orders,
- 23:55Speaker 1: you get times five the flybys points, and it's also
- 23:59Speaker 1: a hacked to get early access to the km up
- 24:02Speaker 1: Black Friday Sale, so one past members get early access,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and sometimes when brands go early accesses, I'm like, Okay,
- 24:10Speaker 1: this is actually worth it, because like their Black Friday
- 24:13Speaker 1: sale last year had so many good items in it,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and by the time it became open to the public,
- 24:19Speaker 1: it was really hard to get your hands on some
- 24:20Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, so I absolutely think that the one
- 24:24Speaker 1: past membership is worth it. And that's like, literally, if
- 24:28Speaker 1: you do four orders in the entire year, which let's
- 24:32Speaker 1: be real, you've made it up. Yeah, So that's my
- 24:36Speaker 1: that's my other win.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 24:38Speaker 5: I like that because that's like a Black Friday sale
- 24:41Speaker 5: that keeps on giving exactly the whole year.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Our Black Friday anti wish list. Things we are not
- 24:48Speaker 1: buying on Black Friday. Christmas decorations, oh my god.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Yeah, because you'll always get a better deal during the
- 24:55Speaker 5: Boxing Day sales, obviously, if it's a must have, if
- 24:59Speaker 5: you don't don't have a Christmas tree yet and you
- 25:02Speaker 5: really need one for this year, and it's on sale
- 25:05Speaker 5: for Black Friday, of course. But I don't discriminate when
- 25:08Speaker 5: it comes to Christmas decorations. I love them all and
- 25:11Speaker 5: I'm always wanting to buy and add to the collection,
- 25:14Speaker 5: but I always do it on Boxing Day and just
- 25:16Speaker 5: put them away for the next year.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And then that way, it's like a little bit exciting
- 25:21Speaker 1: the next year because you're I get to put this.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Out exactly, it still feels new and exciting, even though
- 25:27Speaker 5: you bought it almost twelve months earlier.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Legit.
- 25:30Speaker 1: My thing kind of on the same vein is that
- 25:33Speaker 1: holiday gift sets. So unless someone has like explicitly said
- 25:38Speaker 1: they want something for Christmas, that is the gift they want.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I do not buy these until Boxing Day because they're
- 25:46Speaker 1: no longer an appeal to the consumer, so they very
- 25:49Speaker 1: often get put in all the Boxing Day sales of Lexaphora, Mecca,
- 25:52Speaker 1: the onesdaye. They do adore beauty and they're such good
- 25:57Speaker 1: value for price.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah it's wail.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I completely agree, and I also love buying them
- 26:04Speaker 5: for myself.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about it.
- 26:06Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, everyone else, Yeah, a holiday gift to me, yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 4: from I do have one friend whose birthday is on
- 26:14Speaker 4: the twenty seventh, so it's always good to grab a
- 26:18Speaker 4: gift set or two on Boxing Day.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Yeah, like the Advent calendars, you know, like they always
- 26:24Speaker 1: go on sale on Boxing Day of course.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, that's a good one.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Another thing on my ani wish list is white goods,
- 26:33Speaker 5: so I always will try to upgrade on those sorts
- 26:37Speaker 5: of like big ticket items like fridge or washing, washing,
- 26:41Speaker 5: Shane dry that kind of thing, either on Boxing Day
- 26:45Speaker 5: or and a financial year, And the financial year is
- 26:47Speaker 5: definitely the better one to do it during, totally. I
- 26:51Speaker 5: guess it just depends on when you need it.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Like I really needed.
- 26:55Speaker 5: A new fridge and I was like, do I do
- 26:57Speaker 5: it during Black Friday because.
- 26:59Speaker 2: We really needed one?
- 27:00Speaker 5: And I was like, if I could hold out to
- 27:02Speaker 5: end of financial year, I would, but got it on
- 27:05Speaker 5: Boxing Day and got such a good deal.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I was so happy with it. Yeah.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Another one is fitness equipment or gym memberships. So these
- 27:15Speaker 1: typically tend to have the strongest sale in like a
- 27:18Speaker 1: New year sale period, so like on the first of January,
- 27:22Speaker 1: because there's that very large uptick of like New Year,
- 27:25Speaker 1: New Year, Like that's when most gyms or fitness equipments
- 27:30Speaker 1: have a very significant sale. Again, kind of like what
- 27:34Speaker 1: Sau said, if it's a gift for someone or it's
- 27:36Speaker 1: something that you're like I really really want this, I
- 27:38Speaker 1: want to start before the New year, then like go
- 27:40Speaker 1: for it. Yeah. But if getting the best deal is
- 27:43Speaker 1: the priority for you, then wait and it's only like
- 27:48Speaker 1: what one month away.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:51Speaker 1: The other thing that is kind of on my naughty
- 27:53Speaker 1: list for Black Friday is any brand offering twenty percent off,
- 28:01Speaker 1: unless it is a brand that never ever goes on
- 28:06Speaker 1: sale ever. Dish, Dish Mecca like Dish do have some
- 28:14Speaker 1: sales throughout the year.
- 28:15Speaker 2: I'm gonna give them that. They definitely do.
- 28:17Speaker 3: They do after pay and they do under financial years, so.
- 28:20Speaker 2: We'll give them that. Meca. On the other hand, Mega
- 28:23Speaker 2: said none.
- 28:24Speaker 1: For Gretchen wiinners Bye last year, they did like a
- 28:26Speaker 1: Duo's thing.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Bro, But I'm scrowling through that selecch yeah, and I
- 28:31Speaker 5: was like.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Okay, okay, they do a boxing daisal, but I really
- 28:36Speaker 1: wish theyould do a Black Friday sale.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So like if they came out and they were like
- 28:39Speaker 3: twenty percent.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Off site white, I'd be like, let's goal bute, Like
- 28:43Speaker 1: that's the thing.
- 28:44Speaker 2: You've got to kind of use the judgment.
- 28:45Speaker 1: But I'm talking like the average sale, right, the average
- 28:49Speaker 1: Black Friday sale, According to my analysis of over three
- 28:52Speaker 1: hundred sales from twenty twenty four, the average Black Friday
- 28:56Speaker 1: sale was thirty percent to seventy percent off right, So
- 29:02Speaker 1: any brands doing less than that is below average. And
- 29:07Speaker 1: with so much similarity on the market and multiple brands
- 29:11Speaker 1: having multiple stockists, I just don't believe it to be
- 29:15Speaker 1: worth it when you can probably get the same thing
- 29:17Speaker 1: somewhere else add a better price, and that is like
- 29:20Speaker 1: the power of price matching and price comparison and all
- 29:24Speaker 1: of that stuff. So we have a video on brands
- 29:28Speaker 1: at price match, and then you can obviously also use
- 29:31Speaker 1: the cheat sheet in the column we have like cherry
- 29:34Speaker 1: on top, and so you can see like which brands
- 29:37Speaker 1: price match, but seriously, just like the Google carousel, just
- 29:41Speaker 1: search the thing and see who has it.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Anyone doing twenty percent off youone doing ten percent off
- 29:46Speaker 3: jail jail.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Mean, like, I'm come on, and I've seen so much
- 29:52Speaker 1: content this year about like how underwhelming a lot of
- 29:55Speaker 1: sales are and I agreeeah, and it's because they do
- 29:58Speaker 1: this weird month long sales and I'm like, it would
- 30:01Speaker 1: be so much more fun if we went back to
- 30:04Speaker 1: doing it for like three days.
- 30:05Speaker 2: And it was really really good. Yeah, I agree.
- 30:07Speaker 3: But every year I feel like I'm talking to the void.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Normals listen to me, please.
- 30:16Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the real reason. Selfish, and I'm tired. But yeah,
- 30:21Speaker 5: I'm excited. I'm excited to shop.
- 30:24Speaker 2: We haven't shopped.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Yet, yeah, like a few I'm still waiting though, I'm
- 30:27Speaker 1: still waiting for like the eighteenth to the twenty fourth.
- 30:32Speaker 2: That's when the sales are going to get really really good. Yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 2: so I'm waiting for that.
- 30:35Speaker 5: The wish list has already started accumulating. But I'm I'm
- 30:39Speaker 5: gonna yeah, really fine, true net it's real science.
- 30:43Speaker 2: But I also had.
- 30:44Speaker 1: A point to that's on kind of the same note,
- 30:48Speaker 1: is to avoid and take note of any misleading brands
- 30:53Speaker 1: this Black Friday. And what I mean by that is
- 30:55Speaker 1: that the A Triple C put out a warning to
- 30:59Speaker 1: brands that they were cracking down on misleading Black Friday sales.
- 31:04Speaker 1: So they've actually put retailers on notice to review their
- 31:08Speaker 1: advertising practices to ensure that the sale claims are accurate, clear,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and not misleading. It has a particular focus on retailers
- 31:16Speaker 1: that were flagged in last year's sweep and who engaged
- 31:20Speaker 1: in concerning promotions. So they're going to be paying attention
- 31:24Speaker 1: to any brands that use the following sorts of advertising conduct,
- 31:27Speaker 1: so limited statements like three days only countdown timers that
- 31:31Speaker 1: don't reflect the real duration of the sale. So if
- 31:34Speaker 1: a brand says three days only, but then after three
- 31:38Speaker 1: days the sale is still on claims of sight wide
- 31:41Speaker 1: or store wide sales when in fact many products are
- 31:44Speaker 1: excluded or the scope is misrepresented, which that is so common. Yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 1: being like thirty percent off sightwide and down and down
- 31:55Speaker 1: tirty fun it goes.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Excludes sales, gift sets and everything else.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, up to x percent off claims where very
- 32:03Speaker 1: few items actually reach the maximum discount, or where the
- 32:09Speaker 1: up to qualifier is hidden so that consumers are misled,
- 32:14Speaker 1: and was slash now or strike through pricing representations that
- 32:20Speaker 1: may not reflect genuine prior prices or genuine savings. I
- 32:25Speaker 1: think I wanted to share this list to kind of
- 32:28Speaker 1: also highlight these things that brands do to trick you
- 32:32Speaker 1: into shopping a sale that's not actually a sale. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: think people are getting a lot more on board with it.
- 32:38Speaker 1: But I saw an article that said last year, Michael
- 32:41Speaker 1: Hill was fined nineteen thousand, eight hundred dollars for producing
- 32:46Speaker 1: misleading claims. Yeah, Michael Hill was fined nineteen thy eight
- 32:51Speaker 1: hundred in relation to an alleged misleading representation of its
- 32:56Speaker 1: Black Friday sale. My House was also fined nineteen eight
- 33:00Speaker 1: hundred dollars, and then Hairhouse was also fined nineteen eight
- 33:05Speaker 1: hundred dollars. Oh no, So brands clock it, yeah, and
- 33:13Speaker 1: chicks don't fall for it. If you think a brand
- 33:15Speaker 1: has a misleading sale and they're doing the wrong thing, snitch.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It's annoying and it's just so like so poor as
- 33:23Speaker 1: a consumer. Yeah, I think you're getting a really good
