- 0:08And this one actually was very, actually felt, made me feel really patriotic.
- 0:13And then William Byron wins the Daytona 500.

- 1:25I don't know what it is. All right, so let's just dive into it.
- 1:28The big one of the weekend, I mean, there's a lot of big ones of the weekend,
- 1:32but for me, it was the Matt McClung, the historic three-peat.
- 1:37I mean, and this is a white boy. This is a white boy winning the dunk contest,
- 1:42which, I mean, I try not to see anything through color, but I mean,
- 1:46that to me is kind of crazy that he's winning the dunk contest three years in a row.
- 1:51It is what it is, but let's just take a look at it real quick.
- 1:54And I mean, if you, if you caught any of it, it was just bananas. It was crazy.
- 2:01Going over the car, the big part of the hood, which is awesome.
- 2:05Nope. Not many people can do that. I don't think I could.
- 2:10I mean, he made a couple amazing ones. This was the one that stood out the most
- 2:14to me, which was just crazy.
- 2:16All right. So Matt McClung winning the dunk contest. I don't know.
- 2:21So I've been in hibernation for with basketball for a while now.
- 2:25So it's been kind of, it's kind of weird for me talking about it,
- 2:28but I mean, I, like I said last week, I am a player, player driven person.
- 2:33And if the guys that are out on the court that can bring people to the game,
- 2:38which, which is us, which is awesome.
- 2:40I mean, that that's the one that's going to put like butts in the seats and
- 2:43eyes like glued onto to it.
- 2:45A guy like this doing this three years in a row. And then what was,
- 2:48what topped it all off for me?
- 2:50He wins it, humble about it. And he gives all glory to God, which was awesome.
- 2:56He gives all glory to God.
- 2:57And then he's, they're saying, are you going to come back next year?
- 3:00He says, I think I'm done.
- 3:02We'll just see. I'll sit back to have some time to think about it.
- 3:05If people want me back enough, I'll, I'll, I'll think about it,
- 3:08which, Hey, you know, I mean, it's awesome somebody win the dunk contest,
- 3:13but I mean, like to challenge, like, cause they're like, some of the announcers
- 3:16were like saying to Vince Carter, who was also on the panel as well.
- 3:20Cause you could arguably say Vince Carter, all time best dunker ever. You could say that.
- 3:25I mean, I always lean towards Michael Jordan. Cause I'm a little biased as the best,
- 3:29best all time dunker, but this guy on the panel was saying to Vince Carter,
- 3:34he's challenging you as the saying about this Mac McClung like I don't know
- 3:40could this be something that to draw people back into NBA it definitely could
- 3:44not hurt it's that it's actually bringing me back can I think the NBA has a
- 3:48lot of things to improve a lot of things to work on and to make it a place that is.
- 3:54Like it was, bring it back to like early 2000s and even 90s.
- 3:59I mean, like there was something in those moments in that time and time period,
- 4:04which was just, it was different. It's a lot different than it is today.
- 4:09Today. It's, it's, I don't know. It is just, it is that political.
- 4:14It's, it got political and nasty in the NFL got political and nasty for a while,
- 4:19but then they backed off and they understood like they're not
- 4:22going to go the like the crazy direction like
- 4:25Bud Light did you know and completely destroy their brand I think Bud Light
- 4:29is coming back whatever you can think about what you think about that I think
- 4:32it's trying to kind of like fix everything bandage itself up and make it America's
- 4:37drink again but you can say like the NFL was smart enough to like,
- 4:42let's not completely ostracize more than half of the country that just believes
- 4:49in good, wholesome values and cares about our country is patriotic.
- 4:55Don't freaking kneel for the national anthem. I mean, if you're anybody out
- 4:59there, don't kneel for the national anthem. That's stupid.
- 5:02Don't do that. I mean, that makes me almost want to throw up so many times,
- 5:07especially our Olympic athletes go out there and they're representing our country
- 5:11and they're kneeling. What do you think about that? I don't know.
- 5:14I, as you can see, I have pretty strong opinions about that,
- 5:17but quickly moving forward, the Daytona 500, Donald Trump makes an appearance at the Daytona.
- 5:23He went to the Superbowl, which people argued about. Like, I don't know why
- 5:26that's such a, such a big deal.
- 5:28Him, the seated, seated president going to the Superbowl. I mean, he's a man of the people.
- 5:32He goes to the Daytona 500, you know, the hard, hard working class individuals that are out there.
- 5:38And he, he puts his face out there and he, you know,
- 5:41He's saying, this is a good, this is, this is what America is about.
- 5:45You know, NASCAR, I want to get more into it. I'm like not in it as much as
- 5:48I'd like to be. There's a lot of things I'd like to be more into.
- 5:51And NASCAR is actually one of them.
- 5:53And knowing what is actually happening.
- 5:55Why is it so, what are the storylines that are going on in NASCAR?
- 6:00Because to me, if you just sit back, it's just, it's loud. People are looking
- 6:04for explosions, looking for crashes.
- 6:07And who are these, who are these like guys driving?
- 6:11Who are they? Because, I mean, you don't see them that much.
- 6:14You don't see they're they got they're in a car and they they got helmets on.
- 6:18You don't know who they are.
- 6:19And they all kind of blend together. They all kind of run together like what?
- 6:22Like there's there's so much more happening that like a NASCAR fellow out there
- 6:26that knows a lot about this stuff.
- 6:28Like going into the pit stop, is that like there's a lot of things happening
- 6:32that we just like take for granted.
- 6:33We're sitting back like, why can't they just fix a car and set it on its way?
- 6:37But as like it is like a well-oiled machine that is like out there these guys they're just going,
- 6:44and then like a lot of these crew members they don't even get any like
- 6:47accolades any praise you know they're just guys they're like the offensive line
- 6:51of the best team in the NFL that's like we don't we don't recognize who they
- 6:55are but I mean there's a lot more than just that face that person but the person
- 7:00that won it was William Byron I'd like to learn more about this guy he he seems pretty interesting.
- 7:06So William Byron takes home the Daytona 500. Who was your favorite?
- 7:10I mean, I just, I think of, you know, the Dell Earnhardt's juniors and Dell
- 7:14Earnhardt, you know, like I'm like, I think about those guys.
- 7:17There's faces of NASCAR that like stand out to me.
- 7:21And it's, it's nice to see when a new face or like somebody that I'm in,
- 7:26maybe William Byron's probably not a new face.
- 7:29I, as you can see, I'm like not as
- 7:30fluent in NASCAR as I am in some other sports, which I would love to be.
- 7:35But like, it is, you want to say, I need a face. I need a face to the sport
- 7:39to like connect it and know how like,
- 7:43That's what's going to bring people. That's what's going to bring more of the
- 7:45audience and like reach across the lines. So Donald Trump going there,
- 7:48I think that was I think that was a pretty good deal as well.
- 7:52They have a lot of courage doing this. I see it. I've been here and they have
- 7:56a lot of they have a lot of guts, as they would say.
- 7:59Mr. President, enjoy your time. Thank you very much. And then.
- 8:03All right. We'll quickly move forward to I mean, you could like I went back
- 8:07and forth, went back and forth. Matt McClung and the USA-Canada situation.
- 8:13Were you all following this? What was happening?
- 8:16This, it started out with Canada booing our national anthem.
- 8:23And I know, I mean, people that are at a sports game, you would think that they
- 8:29are the ones that, like, they're the boots on the ground.
- 8:31People that, like, kind of get it. And if that's what people in Canada are getting,
- 8:36and booing our national anthem, I mean, are you upset a bit against Trump?
- 8:40Are you upset against tariffs? Are you upset against 51st state?
- 8:46I mean, there's a lot there and I don't, I love Canada.
- 8:51I think, I wasn't planning on going on this, but I think some of the funnest
- 8:57people come out of Canada.
- 8:58Like, I always go to the best actors, the funniest actors, you know? I mean, I go to funny.
- 9:06It's like the funniest. If you think of a superstar, funny actor,
- 9:09or even a pot, like a singer, you know, I go Bieber, Bieber, baby.
- 9:14Who I love, you know, these guys are Canadian. These guys who came out of their,
- 9:18I don't know what they got in the water up in Canada that is able to put out such like,
- 9:24like, if you think of somebody funny that you love and love to watch,
- 9:28and that just drives you to the movies, there's probably a 90% chance that that actor is Canadian.
- 9:35For some reason, I don't know what it is. I don't know what it is.
- 9:38I've always said the best actors come out of Canada.
- 9:42The best storylines come out out of the UK for some reason, but they all do
- 9:48it and they make, they just, they put it on the, on, on set and they make it happen.
- 9:53You make it happen in the United States. So it's this, this three-way,
- 9:57this three-way matrix that is just happening before our eyes,
- 10:02you know, but we cannot forget that Canada is amazing.
- 10:05And there are neighbors to the North, you know, they could be our brothers,
- 10:09Americans, you know, come on,
- 10:10become Americans, you know, become that 51st state? Is that controversial?
- 10:15Do you disagree with that? Do you not want Canada to be a 51st state?
- 10:18If you're Canadian, do you disagree with wanting to be a 51st state?
- 10:22Is that just a political grenade just lobbed out there by Donald Trump,
- 10:27just throwing it out there and people don't want anything to do with it?
- 10:30Or is it something that could legitimately happen?
- 10:34I don't know. We'll see. There's a lot there, a lot to unpack.
- 10:37A lot to unpack. But the USA, They beat Canada, you know, on the brightest stage
- 10:44when things were happening that, I don't even know how to describe it. Like those...
- 10:50The fans booing, and then Canada goes off to an early lead.
- 10:55They take the 1-0 lead, and it seems like USA could just kind of,
- 10:58oh, we can't actually do this. This isn't our sport. This isn't our thing.
- 11:03We're in overheads, but heck no.
- 11:05They got into three fights in the first 10 minutes, and they just knocked Canada
- 11:10off their rocker and just went at them at their sport.
- 11:15Because you could argue hockey is Canada's sport, but it made me feel like I
- 11:21don't want to feel like prideful because, you know.
- 11:25Pride comes before a fall, but it's tough, you know, because because I think
- 11:29we can be, you know, into our country, you know, patriotic.
- 11:33And I think we should be. I think that in itself is biblical.
- 11:35You should be patriotic for your country.
- 11:38You know, there is that sense, you know, pray for your nation,
- 11:41pray for the good of your nation.
- 11:43And so, but there's a lot there. I don't know what you all think about all that.
- 11:47It's, it is controversial in a sense, because I don't want to at all be like,
- 11:51oh, I'm American, American.
- 11:54We're so awesome. You know, we are, we're the Kings of the planet.
- 11:57Whereas we're not that. And if
- 11:59we start being like that, there will be a humbling, a very huge humbling.
- 12:04So we got to be aware of that, but it's still, I think we still should be patriotic
- 12:08and like proud of our boys out there, whether it's our veterans,
- 12:12our war, our fighters that are just on the front line in other countries,
- 12:16just protecting our countries, our soldiers,
- 12:18or even our sports teams that are out there, you know,
- 12:21not bending the knee in our national anthem, but proud of our country and doing
- 12:26amazing things for our country.
- 12:28Good job, USA, you know, hockey team, way to go.
- 12:32You did amazing. You represented, you did a great job, you know,
- 12:35be proud of that, you know?
- 12:37So we'll leave it at that. I hope you all have a wonderful day and a wonderful
- 12:42week as we get it, as we get going, you know, as we get going. All right. Peace.
- 12:47Music.
