- 0:00What is going on?
- 0:05Her face.
- 0:06It is the Clydesdale media round table.
- 0:11Um, we're trying this with no opening and it's gone swimmingly already.
- 0:16So here we are live.
- 0:18Uh, we're here to just chat and maybe talk a little bit about water Palooza.
- 0:27So
- 0:29man it is freaking cold and cory has already jumped in the chat he's in louisiana it's 22 degrees in south louisiana we are not okay okay tomorrow's gonna be worse i think jay says it feels like negative nine here you've got a heat wave my question is you cold plungers yeah
- 0:54I got to give it out to our friend Sprinkles in this joke, but you're out there in your 42 degree cold plunge.
- 1:03The wind chill yesterday was three.
- 1:07Is it now a hot tub?
- 1:10There's nothing hot about it.
- 1:13When that wind goes by your face and you're in there and there's like, it feels that cold.
- 1:20No, there's nothing hot about it.
- 1:27So how do you protect yourself from ice pellets?
- 1:31Listen, there was a day... Stay in the house.
- 1:36There was a day I took an umbrella out there and covered my face because there were definitely ice pellets coming on my face.
- 1:42So that's why that didn't... But I'm doing it every day.
- 1:48I've done it every day for two weeks straight.
- 1:51So honestly...
- 1:54How do you feel cold plunging?
- 1:57Are you feeling a difference?
- 2:00I mean, my sleep has gotten a little better.
- 2:04So, and my HRV has jumped.
- 2:11Okay.
- 2:12Explain to me what that means.
- 2:14Your heart rate means basically I'm getting tougher to kill.
- 2:20The more variability I have in my heart rate throughout the day, that means my body can adapt more to stress and stressful situations.
- 2:29This is my layman's term explanation.
- 2:31I'm not an expert.
- 2:32This is just what I've come to the conclusion of.
- 2:35So the more opportunities that my body adapts to this stress, that means I'll be tougher to kill.
- 2:42Okay.
- 2:43Sounds valid.
- 2:45Are you trying to cheat death like Bob Shelton?
- 2:48Yes, I am.
- 2:50That would be my dad.
- 2:51We're both trying to cheat death.
- 2:53We're going to do our best.
- 2:58Charlie does none of those things.
- 3:02Charlie, have you seen Jesus lately?
- 3:07Have you?
- 3:07I have not.
- 3:08I didn't think so.
- 3:16So how was everybody's weekend?
- 3:17Cause it,
- 3:20It was awful here.
- 3:23The weather, you mean?
- 3:24Yeah.
- 3:25I took Natalie back to school yesterday and I had an awesome time with her home.
- 3:30But like the whole way when I was happy for her.
- 3:32But when we got there, she's like, oh, I just love my little town and my little this and this little, you know, it's like, but this isn't your home.
- 3:44But I'm glad that she feels that way and that and she's excited to go back because otherwise that would be harder.
- 3:50yeah for sure cory charlie's trying to uh compete against you this year so he's going full animal yeah you guys aren't familiar with like sonic come on tails like fly you guys don't have kids you don't know well yeah yeah i'll tell you what about charlie competing guess what i saw today
- 4:18He was nailing the depth on his back squats.
- 4:23Oh, yeah.
- 4:24With that new hip of his.
- 4:25Nice job.
- 4:27Put a little WD-40 on it.
- 4:30Yep.
- 4:33How much oil does that take?
- 4:36It's about a whole bottle, but it's cool.
- 4:40I get it from Costco, so I got plenty.
- 4:43And it's just right around the corner from the gym, so that works out.
- 4:50Was that the strength today?
- 4:53Yeah.
- 4:53Yes.
- 4:56Five every two minutes.
- 4:58Ten minutes.
- 4:59Yep.
- 5:00And then we did some handstand walking.
- 5:03Woof.
- 5:04Woof.
- 5:05Yeah.
- 5:05Mine was more controlled falling and then get back up and take a few steps.
- 5:12Okay.
- 5:12At least it was controlled.
- 5:13Yeah.
- 5:14It was.
- 5:14It was controlled.
- 5:15Thank you.
- 5:15Yeah.
- 5:17Tap down.
- 5:17Tap back up.
- 5:19Run faster again.
- 5:20Yep.
- 5:21Then there was, let's see, what was our workout?
- 5:23It was 15 minutes of 10 toes to bar, 25 foot handstand walk and 10 hang power cleans.
- 5:29So that's pretty fun actually.
- 5:32I like that.
- 5:34Those were the easy parts.
- 5:35Yeah.
- 5:36That sounds like a good one.
- 5:37Yeah.
- 5:39So Kat, did you work out today?
- 5:43No, I worked out on Saturday.
- 5:46Saturday.
- 5:46It was like six weeks ago.
- 5:49I did the, I did the Enderton front squat complex that the gym is doing.
- 5:55I did it on Saturday.
- 5:56I did some RDLs and I did some Bulgarian split squats.
- 5:59So I did a little bit of a leg workout.
- 6:01And then Monday I was going to do, I signed up for a class at my gym, a class that I wasn't coaching because I was off from work.
- 6:08And I realized that it was the Enderton squats that I had just done on Saturday and
- 6:13was the beginning so i walked in and i was like you know what never mind so you left i mean i was there coaching the earlier class anyway but i just i just neglected to stay yeah i was like it's okay as in jared and understand yeah corey squats
- 6:31They're all so yeah, so my my working out is very much lacking.
- 6:36I'm sort of burning the candle at both ends.
- 6:37I'm coaching in the morning, I'm coaching at night, I'm working full time during the day.
- 6:41And there's just not a whole lot of time or motivation.
- 6:43But I will tell you that I started on the RP app for my macros and stuff.
- 6:50I've done that before.
- 6:51What do you think?
- 6:52Yeah, I really like it.
- 6:53Braden actually turned me on to it.
- 6:54He's been following the guy from RP like on YouTube, and he sends me all these videos.
- 6:59He's more of like a bodybuilding guy.
- 7:01It's the RP strength guy.
- 7:05But I figured he and I are, so he and I are going to the Arnold at the end of February, early March.
- 7:12And we both want to look good when we get there.
- 7:14You kind of have to.
- 7:16looked apart.
- 7:17So that was sort of our motivation to set, set a goal in the future.
- 7:20So come that weekend, we will both be, have cut a little bit of fluffiness out of our bodies.
- 7:28So yeah, it's fun.
- 7:29I'm enjoying it.
- 7:30I'm eating a lot of food and it's fun.
- 7:32It's a lot of food on there.
- 7:33Yeah.
- 7:34Once I figure out how to move my macros around from one meal to another and
- 7:39You know, the app's not super intuitive and maybe it's just my old lady brain.
- 7:42I'm not technically savvy anymore.
- 7:45Scott, don't say that I never used to be because I was at one time.
- 7:51But yeah, so it's fun.
- 7:53I'm enjoying it.
- 7:54I like I get reminders to eat, which is cool.
- 7:56Yes, I know.
- 7:57So I figured if I can't be super strict on the exercise, which I've been very lax on, um, I am trying to lift two or three times a week, just lift heavy, which is like the bare minimum for somebody like me.
- 8:09Um, but the eating's in control, so I feel good.
- 8:13Yeah.
- 8:15Yeah.
- 8:15I don't need a nap to tell me to eat.
- 8:16I have Corey.
- 8:20And yes, Corey, Dr. Mike, his videos are quality entertainment for sure.
- 8:26So one sad development about the Arnold is that they have canceled not only the affiliate gathering, but the CrossFit competition.
- 8:38And so there will be no CrossFit at the Arnold for like the first time in, gosh, as long as I can remember.
- 8:47Yeah.
- 8:48Do we know sort of the story behind that?
- 8:51Seems abrupt.
- 8:52Or has it been a long time coming?
- 8:54What I got from the announcement they made on Instagram was that they were given a 9,000 square foot spot
- 9:02Then at last minute change to their own location at the fairgrounds, which was like 100,000 square feet.
- 9:12So they had a ton of room.
- 9:13Yeah.
- 9:14Then it got switched a third time and then a fourth time back to the 9,000 square foot.
- 9:21And with all the changes, they were not able to.
- 9:26um they weren't able to keep up with all those changes and decided rather than try to screw it all up regroup and get ready for next year okay so they're so they'll be back they just got their change yanked a few too many times this time yeah okay
- 9:46Well, that's cool.
- 9:47That's a bummer for me, though.
- 9:48It's probably the only time I'm going to go, and I would have liked to have seen some CrossFit stuff.
- 9:52And they said that the tickets were a lot more expensive than in the years past.
- 9:58Well, that's probably also because I'm going, I'm sure.
- 10:02Yeah.
- 10:03The cat's going to be here.
- 10:04Let's jack them up.
- 10:05She'll pay.
- 10:08That reminds me, Scott, remind me, I still have to get, um, general admission tickets.
- 10:11I have the nighttime, the Friday night and Saturday night weightlifting or bodybuilding final stuff, but I don't have tickets to actually get there.
- 10:19Yeah.
- 10:19I can still just get at the door.
- 10:21That's the scary thing about the announcement is $50 a day for the general admission.
- 10:28Oh shit.
- 10:30And that's another reason that they backed up a little bit.
- 10:35Um,
- 10:36Usually you could go to like Kroger or someplace like that and get discounted tickets, but I've seen nothing at this point.
- 10:43Okay.
- 10:44But I will let you know as soon as I hear something.
- 10:48Cool.
- 10:51But I will tell you this.
- 10:52We do CrossFit year-round.
- 10:55Like, there's so many things going on at the Arnold that, like, it's cool to see all the other stuff.
- 11:02Like, unless I was judging the affiliate gathering, like, I was off doing the other stuff because you never see that stuff live.
- 11:11Yeah.
- 11:12Right?
- 11:13Yeah.
- 11:13So I don't think you'll miss anything by CrossFit not being there.
- 11:17I mean, who knows?
- 11:17I might go off into my own little...
- 11:20bodybuilding black hole.
- 11:22You never know.
- 11:25Yeah.
- 11:27My guess is after this, you'll be a professional axe thrower.
- 11:31Yeah.
- 11:32Something like that.
- 11:34You never know.
- 11:34That's better than what Kat's next adventure is.
- 11:37Right.
- 11:38What's the Scottish thing?
- 11:41What's that called?
- 11:43Highland Games?
- 11:44Yeah.
- 11:46That's there too.
- 11:48Strongman stuff.
- 11:50Uh, martial arts, jump rope.
- 11:54Speaking of bodybuilding, um, uh, we watched a, a little documentary series on Netflix last night about, um, America, the warrior, uh, gladiators.
- 12:04Did you think about Con Porter because he's basically the Australian gladiator now?
- 12:11He's on, he's on a show.
- 12:13It was crazy.
- 12:15Some of the stuff that they talked about, it was pretty cool.
- 12:18Anyway, I digress.
- 12:23Scott, you going to work out?
- 12:27Not today.
- 12:28Today's my rest day now.
- 12:29That's right.
- 12:29Tuesday's your rest day.
- 12:30Did you work out yesterday?
- 12:32I did.
- 12:32Okay, good.
- 12:38So, but I am still, whatever this flu thing that's going around really sucks.
- 12:45Like it is really killing me.
- 12:48Hopefully, I think I'm like on the upswing finally.
- 12:53if you started cold plunging, you'd be tougher.
- 12:56So that, that wouldn't probably bother you.
- 12:59Yeah.
- 13:00Well, I did some lifting in my garage this weekend with gloves.
- 13:08Yeah.
- 13:10It was rough.
- 13:11I believe it.
- 13:12Yeah.
- 13:15So that's my other issue, guys, is that my body's falling apart and I'm not sure why.
- 13:21If I were doing CrossFit on a regular basis, I would expect all of these little tweaks and injuries to be happening.
- 13:29But I literally like I'm going to go I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow.
- 13:33I have a super serious tennis elbow that like won't go away.
- 13:38I had it injected about six months ago and I'm going to have to get it injected again.
- 13:42It got better, like really good for a while.
- 13:45And I mean, literally the extent of me using my upper body is like picking up a plate every three hours, like three times a week to put it away is like the extent of me using my elbow.
- 13:56So I'm not quite sure why it's so injured.
- 13:59But I have my left ring finger is like arthritic or something.
- 14:03I cannot like move.
- 14:05push up off the ground with this hand because of this finger.
- 14:09Like it's hurt so bad.
- 14:10I've been to a hand specialist twice.
- 14:12He's like, there's nothing wrong with it.
- 14:14You know, stretch it here, go to PT, whatever.
- 14:16It's like the weirdest thing.
- 14:19isolated injury that's like now moving into my wrist so both my upper extremities are jacked and my hip and low back from the same hip that i had surgery on back in 2016 like i couldn't get to sleep last night like i've been taking painkillers like for the last three days just so i can like sit comfortably and it's literally i'm not doing like it would make a lot of sense if i was like overdoing it or you know doing all this stuff
- 14:44i'm not doing anything i mean maybe that's maybe that's maybe i have to do something but like good grief i mean and i'm going to the doctor tomorrow and i'm like can i make an appointment for three body parts and they're like no you have to make three separate appointments like i need to see a doctor that's gonna see like multiple joints because i'm a mess so sorry i didn't mean to dump but no it's frustrating really frustrating
- 15:10So I will tell you from personal experience, when I'm not working out as much, I get all those aches and pains too.
- 15:17Because the one thing you're also not doing is warming up, stretching, heating up the muscles, doing all of those things as well.
- 15:26So not only are you not working out, but you're not doing all those other things.
- 15:32Warming up and stretching?
- 15:34Charlie doesn't warm up, yeah.
- 15:36He's trying to.
- 15:37But I know what you mean.
- 15:38It's kind of like that move it or lose it type thing.
- 15:41And it is true.
- 15:42But in terms of moving around, I spend all day stretching or mobilizing or shoving a Theragun on my ass all day because that's how sore it is.
- 15:54I'm stretching.
- 15:54I'm lying on boxes.
- 15:56I'm doing straddles.
- 15:57I'm doing figure fours.
- 15:59I'm sitting on lacrosse balls.
- 16:01Everything.
- 16:02Maybe I'm just going after it too much.
- 16:04But
- 16:05You know what you should get with your new job is you should get a walking pad.
- 16:10Yeah, I could do that.
- 16:11A cold plunge.
- 16:13And a sauna.
- 16:14And a sauna.
- 16:18Yeah, I need one of those now.
- 16:20Guys, it's just so weird.
- 16:21And start doing Taibo.
- 16:25Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 16:27When she said the Theragun, I immediately started thinking, oh, here we go with the vacuum.
- 16:31Guys, you know, that vacuum cleaner is about to get replaced at the gym too.
- 16:35I just wanted to say a moment of silence because it's starting to make some funny noises.
- 16:40I'm not surprised.
- 16:40I was going to say the suction is making some noise.
- 16:47It's lived a wildlife.
- 16:49It really has had a very good life in my gym.
- 16:51Some more other things.
- 16:54Cool.
- 16:56But you know what?
- 16:57Speaking of weather that we were thinking about, the weather sucked for Waterpalooza.
- 17:04Oh, yeah.
- 17:05It did.
- 17:05What a shame.
- 17:07I mean, it always feels like it always did.
- 17:08Last year, I think we got lucky.
- 17:09I think last year was the best, worst weather there was.
- 17:16True that.
- 17:18True that.
- 17:22Yeah.
- 17:26Yeah.
- 17:27Oh yeah.
- 17:27The weather was awful.
- 17:28And the last year we were probably, it was just cold.
- 17:31It didn't rain.
- 17:32Right.
- 17:32But that's what I'm saying.
- 17:33It was probably the best worst.
- 17:36Um, in my opinion this year, it made it almost unwatchable on Sunday.
- 17:44Yeah.
- 17:45With the teams of three and that many people on the floor and the rain coming down and all of the changes in the workouts, um,
- 17:54It just was really hard to watch.
- 17:57And I know that there's not much that the event directors can do.
- 18:00You're an outdoor competition, and that's probably half of the draw is Miami in the winter and being outside in the sun.
- 18:12But there was sun one day out of three.
- 18:15And now we've been hit with rain at Rogue, where everything got switched around.
- 18:20That's right.
- 18:21And then we got rain at Waterpalooza.
- 18:22So two of the big three off-season comps were compromised because of the weather.
- 18:30I think it shows that the games going inside this year is probably a really good move.
- 18:41Yeah, I agree.
- 18:44maybe california will be a better venue for them you know with the weather it's a little more predictable yeah but we're gonna have a semi-final outside but on a happy note our girls took first place they did
- 19:11Kelly.
- 19:12Yeah.
- 19:12That was cool.
- 19:13Yeah.
- 19:13Kelly, Kelsey and Emily.
- 19:18Yeah.
- 19:19Emil or I think it's Emil.
- 19:22Yeah.
- 19:23Right.
- 19:24That made me happy because everything that they were saying too, that they were like, listen, people always question us.
- 19:31Like, you know, we feel like we're not, we don't belong, but we belong, you know, like, so I loved that they proved that.
- 19:40Did you hear Kelsey say go birds?
- 19:43I did.
- 19:45Didn't help.
- 19:45No, it didn't.
- 19:47Nope.
- 19:48Yeah, that worked out.
- 19:52I don't want to talk any football.
- 19:53Yeah.
- 19:54There's nothing good to talk about anymore.
- 19:56Good grief.
- 19:58Although, did we see those stands in Buffalo where people were like, they had like beer coolers right there in front of them and
- 20:06We had snowmen in the stands because they didn't have time to get the snow out.
- 20:10It was crazy.
- 20:13I have a judging question for Kat because she's been to Waterpalooza, the rain, where they had to wormhole and do the strict pull-ups.
- 20:28You had a judge at the pull-ups and then you had a white shirt kind of
- 20:32walking between to see if the worm was still off the ground yeah that wasn't good and when they wasn't she's yelling and i'm just going by what i saw on the screen it was a she sure yeah he's yelling the team can't hear in that music at wadapalooza right hell teammates don't even hear each other and
- 20:56It was almost like you needed one judge per lane and they needed to give some kind of a hand signal to the judge by the rig to determine whether that person needed to come off or not.
- 21:07Because quite frankly, that last rep for Kelly and Kelsey and Emily's team didn't count.
- 21:14Like that worm was on the ground when they did that last rep.
- 21:17Now they were a minute ahead of everyone else, so it wouldn't have really changed the outcome.
- 21:22But, you know, who knows how many times that happened.
- 21:28It's a bad look.
- 21:30And these contingency plans with the weather seemed like they put the judges in a worse position.
- 21:38One, you're changing it last minute, so you don't have as much time to brief the judges.
- 21:43And you're asking them to judge strict movements, which are almost harder to judge than your regular movements.
- 21:53Yeah.
- 21:54Oh, for sure.
- 21:55Yeah, there's no good.
- 21:56Nobody wins when you have to change workouts.
- 21:58I feel like, you know, it's not as exciting to watch.
- 22:01And, you know, sometimes you're not thinking about other things.
- 22:05And, you know, the judging usually is the last thing that gets considered.
- 22:11And those pull-ups were just a mess.
- 22:14Like if Charlie and I are going side by side, Charlie can do strict pull-ups all day long.
- 22:20With full extension, I'm going to cheat every rep and not go to full extension because it's the only way I can do strict pull-ups.
- 22:27Yeah.
- 22:28Right?
- 22:28And they were allowing that to go on.
- 22:33And it's not fair to Charlie, who's doing the full movement and expending more energy than the person beside him cheating every rep and not dropping to full hang.
- 22:45Yeah.
- 22:45Right.
- 22:46Yeah.
- 22:48That's a hard one.
- 22:50So the whole competition just left.
- 22:53I left with a bad taste in my mouth.
- 22:55And I know there's not much you can do with the weather because you have to be safe.
- 23:00Yeah.
- 23:02But.
- 23:05Well, it's just like when they changed the alpaca workout two years ago and it completely changed that workout.
- 23:13And so we saw, you know.
- 23:19different stimulus almost than we might have if it would have been kept original so it's yeah yeah just disappointing but necessary like using yeah so do you do you think there's any solution to this like is there a way to put a cover over something at rogue or wadapalooza to fix it or is it just something we have to deal with and pray the weather's gonna hold out
- 23:53I don't know.
- 23:54I mean, are you talking structurally, like actually putting a cover on it?
- 24:01Well, you know, like those.
- 24:02Like a tent or something.
- 24:04Yeah, almost like a tent.
- 24:07Yeah, I mean, you almost have to have some kind of backup indoor plan, but that becomes so expensive, you know, especially if you don't use it.
- 24:14Yep.
- 24:16And I don't know that we figured out, anybody's figured out the economics of one of these, you know, one of these events to do that.
- 24:24And you don't want to put it all inside.
- 24:26I mean, it's Miami.
- 24:26People go there to be outside.
- 24:28Like that's the cool part of Guadalupalooza.
- 24:30That barge, floating barge was super cool.
- 24:33Yeah, I thought that's the best thing they did this year.
- 24:36Yeah, it was way better.
- 24:37Floating barge.
- 24:38For media, for spectators, probably for the athletes too.
- 24:42They just had so much more.
- 24:45Less stress.
- 24:46How stressful was it when we were in that area trying to watch and people would be walking in front of us and getting in front of our shots?
- 24:52It was awful.
- 24:54That was a great, great idea.
- 24:56Maybe you only get one great idea a year.
- 24:59It'll be a couple more years before they iron it all out.
- 25:01People still go.
- 25:04Yeah, I think, Scott, if they were to incorporate putting on putting up some kind of structure or tent like that, then then we would be complaining about it was obstructing our view as spectators.
- 25:15You know, like there's I think there's there's going to be a no win.
- 25:19I don't know.
- 25:20And if there is a win, I don't know what that solution is.
- 25:23That's why there are people that know more about this than I do.
- 25:29Yeah.
- 25:29I mean, the only reason I bring the question up is we're all going to complain about how bad it was, but I don't think there is an easy solution.
- 25:39I mean, the draw of that event is being outside in the sun in January and there's no viable solution that wouldn't cost that event spectators and or athletes to the end.
- 25:57But
- 25:58Yeah.
- 25:58I mean, here's one thing they could plan for bad weather and have alternate workouts established ahead of time.
- 26:08Supposedly that happened this year.
- 26:10Okay, good.
- 26:11Okay, good.
- 26:12So if that's the case, then, you know, you do, you have time to think it through.
- 26:16You have time to sort of consult with your head judge to make sure that it works from a judging perspective.
- 26:21You should be able to work out some of those details before you, you launch.
- 26:28So that's great.
- 26:31Yeah.
- 26:31I don't know if, I don't know if it, you know, interviewed by spin and he said they had them in place two months ago.
- 26:38Oh, good.
- 26:39Okay.
- 26:42Yeah.
- 26:42Thanks.
- 26:45I'm a little disappointed that no one has called me.
- 26:47No one's making any pilot jokes with my headphones.
- 26:50Is that just an Amy thing?
- 26:52I guess so.
- 26:53I mean, I think they need to pull up.
- 26:56Yeah, they're just tired of saying all my things.
- 27:00Oh, that's funny.
- 27:03Yeah.
- 27:04All right.
- 27:04So open signups are out there.
- 27:07Everybody signed up?
- 27:08I did.
- 27:08Not yet.
- 27:11Yep.
- 27:12It's the same price, everybody, in case you're wondering.
- 27:14It's $20.
- 27:15What?
- 27:15Last year.
- 27:20Also, people, I took the judge's course.
- 27:24I would say that it's the most comprehensive one that we've had in a long time, but way, I liked the format way better.
- 27:33Oh, good.
- 27:34Like it was, you know how sometimes you're like, Oh man, I have to go all the way back through this test.
- 27:39Like this one right on.
- 27:43I liked it.
- 27:46Did you write down your answers so you can, you didn't have to.
- 27:49Oh, you didn't have to.
- 27:51I mean like this is way smoother.
- 27:52Okay.
- 28:05Did you guys see the shirt?
- 28:06Apparently, Corey didn't like it.
- 28:09No.
- 28:11I think I saw it.
- 28:12It's very busy.
- 28:13A lot of stuff on it.
- 28:15It's a new open shirt.
- 28:19I wish I would have known.
- 28:20I would have pulled it up, but...
- 28:22to me it's like art is in the eye of the beholder.
- 28:25So there's going to be some people that like the shirt, some people that don't like the shirt.
- 28:30It is very different than the old school open shirt that just basically had the shield logo.
- 28:38This one, it's something about having fun or something.
- 28:42I think, I don't know, but it's definitely, it's more of a graphic tee than a,
- 28:52a regular shirt.
- 28:55But I know Vindicate made an alternate to that with an octopus doing several movements with all eight... What are they called?
- 29:08Tentacles?
- 29:08Arms?
- 29:10Yes.
- 29:11Tentacles.
- 29:14Tentacles.
- 29:18Tentacles.
- 29:22It's an N, not an S. It says nothing but a good time with rock and roll symbols.
- 29:29Yeah, that's a little weird.
- 29:32There's some people that'll like that.
- 29:34Yeah.
- 29:35Polls I've seen were pretty much split down the middle.
- 29:40Yeah.
- 29:4050% liked it, 50% didn't.
- 29:42I'm kind of a plain girl, so I like simple.
- 29:45Less is more.
- 29:48Well, you can get a shirt with the new CrossFit Games logo on it that everybody loves.
- 29:55Yeah, I don't think I love it.
- 29:58I think that was my biggest surprise.
- 30:00You come out with an open shirt a week after that you announced this new logo, and the new logo is not on the new shirt.
- 30:10Whether you love it or hate it or whatever, why?
- 30:13Right.
- 30:15Maybe it's in a redesign already.
- 30:19revamping we're gonna go ahead and redo that now yep yeah anyway so cory says travis shirt travis's shirt looks way better yeah i agree i will tell you it's really cool i love travis that's not my kind of shirt so i it wouldn't be a shirt that i would buy
- 30:46I'd be more into the rock and roll version of the shirt.
- 30:48I knew you would be.
- 30:49You like the flair.
- 30:50You know?
- 30:51Yeah.
- 30:52Well, there's way more flair, I think, on Travis's.
- 30:57But anyway, that's what I'm saying about like art and shirts are going to be in the eye of the beholder.
- 31:03Yeah.
- 31:03And it's pretty much a 50-50 split.
- 31:06And I'm glad there's an alternative, right?
- 31:09If you don't like the one, you can get the other.
- 31:14There you go.
- 31:16All right.
- 31:18So any goals for the open season?
- 31:22I mean, I hope to make quarterfinals again.
- 31:24I'm feeling like it should be less stressful since it's a top 25% and I'm in a new age division.
- 31:31That's right.
- 31:33That's exciting.
- 31:34Yeah.
- 31:35Any hopes for the top 200?
- 31:36No.
- 31:36No.
- 31:37That'd be a GD miracle.
- 31:49Yeah, well, I mean, maybe with my code plunging, maybe by then I will really be, that would be it.
- 32:00My goal is to still have an affiliate through the open.
- 32:04Okay.
- 32:05That's a good.
- 32:05That's my goal.
- 32:06Yeah.
- 32:10All right.
- 32:11Okay.
- 32:12My goal is to breathe by then.
- 32:15And then do better than I did last year.
- 32:19There you go.
- 32:21I did 12% better last year than the year before.
- 32:23So if I can increase that another 7%.
- 32:26Get out of that bottom 20%.
- 32:33I'm still working on my ring muscle-ups.
- 32:37Oh, you'll have them by then.
- 32:38Well, I keep thinking every week I'm going to have it.
- 32:41They won't be in there.
- 32:42How long have you been working on?
- 32:44A long time.
- 32:45It takes a lot of time to build a lot of strength, okay?
- 32:47But I'm not giving up on it.
- 32:52I'm not giving up.
- 32:55All right.
- 32:55I got to go welcome the next classes coming in.
- 32:58Last tip.
- 32:59Just need to use that Rebecca Wyatt Wishart.
- 33:04Her dip style is like that.
- 33:07You do that a couple times at the top, you'll get your muscle up in no time.
- 33:11I need to get on top of the rings.
- 33:12That's where I'm lacking.
- 33:14You're on top of the rings.
- 33:18You are.
- 33:19Okay.
- 33:19I'll get there.
- 33:20A lot of ring dips, Amy.
- 33:21A lot of ring dips.
- 33:24You got this.
- 33:25All right.
- 33:27With that, we'll catch everybody next week.
- 33:30Same time.
- 33:30This is our new time, 1215.
- 33:32Every Tuesday, Clydesdale Media Roundtable.
- 33:35See you all next week.
- 33:36Bye, guys.
