- 0:00Speaker 1: Celebrity news. You like that guards there's crow out nap
- 0:04Speaker 1: where they hit a celebrity news.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:05Speaker 3: There was a lot of talk about Meghan Markle being
- 0:07Speaker 3: a guest celebrity judge on Master Chef Australia and finally
- 0:11Speaker 3: that episode aired last night on Whatever channels. For twenty years,
- 0:18Speaker 3: never watched an episode of Master Chef. Serious.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just not interested.
- 0:23Speaker 3: If I watch shows about food, I just get hungry.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And whenever, Wow, were you really pretended in front of
- 0:28Speaker 1: melissaly on? Didn't you a fifth man? We also realized
- 0:33Speaker 1: she isn't even on there anymore. It's about a week.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Who long, we kept saying, but listen from mastershep oh.
- 0:41Speaker 3: She was a lovely lady though I respect her for
- 0:43Speaker 3: what she's done beyond Master Chef. Actually, Brooklyn, that's why
- 0:46Speaker 3: I did anyway. So there was a lot of backlash
- 0:50Speaker 3: actually about Megan going on because her pay for the
- 0:53Speaker 3: for the episode for like one episode was almost like
- 0:55Speaker 3: half a million dollars or something for like one day
- 0:57Speaker 3: worth of filming and god knows how many hours she
- 0:59Speaker 3: was even there for. But also the fact that she's
- 1:02Speaker 3: not actually a chef, like she's got a show called
- 1:04Speaker 3: like Meghan with Love where she does she makes jam
- 1:07Speaker 3: for her rich friends and things, but it's not exactly
- 1:10Speaker 3: a chef, right. So anyway, everyone's talking about this one
- 1:14Speaker 3: moment on the show where she's one of the producers said, oh, Meghan,
- 1:17Speaker 3: you've got a phone call to the studio, and it
- 1:19Speaker 3: was a FaceTime from Prince Harry. Let's have a listen.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Called a studio. My husband's here.
- 1:33Speaker 1: It just happened in prompt.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I don't know if they wrote that into her contract,
- 1:37Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And also to get the
- 1:39Speaker 3: four hundred thousand dollars or whatever, you also need to
- 1:42Speaker 3: get Harry on the show somehow, because it didn't really
- 1:44Speaker 3: say much.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It was just like, hello, yeah, you don't need these
- 1:48Speaker 1: people on there at all. I know you didn't watch it,
- 1:49Speaker 1: but like, I'm with you, what have they got to
- 1:51Speaker 1: do with cooking? Like nothing?
- 1:53Speaker 2: It's probably the star appeal, right, you know what the name?
- 1:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I feel the people that love masters
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yev would have thought it was kind of cool that
- 2:01Speaker 3: Meghan Markle was on there. Mabes, mabes, babes. Now I'm
- 2:05Speaker 3: not in that demoment?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Am I also?
- 2:07Speaker 3: Oprah? Now she's getting a bit of backlash because she's
- 2:10Speaker 3: claiming that young people aren't actually supposed to have work
- 2:14Speaker 3: life balance, particularly when they come out of college and
- 2:16Speaker 3: at the start of their careers. So take a listen
- 2:19Speaker 3: here out and then I'll see what you got to
- 2:21Speaker 3: think about.
- 2:21Speaker 4: That work life balance is twenty.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Two guess Terran us up by the way, we're all
- 2:26Speaker 2: trying to look for the balance there.
- 2:28Speaker 4: No no, no, no, no petting there, Terrans, It's just not there.
- 2:31Speaker 4: It's not there. You're not supposed to have it. You're
- 2:34Speaker 4: supposed to lay it in, lay in the work. I
- 2:36Speaker 4: only do what I want to do, and I've earned
- 2:39Speaker 4: the right to do that because there was lots of
- 2:41Speaker 4: times I had to do what I had to do.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You have to do what you have to have to
- 2:45Speaker 4: do what you need to do until you can do
- 2:47Speaker 4: what you want to do.
- 2:49Speaker 3: It's all very confusing at the end there. But basically
- 2:52Speaker 3: I think I agree with her because she's saying to
- 2:55Speaker 3: be able to get to a point where you can
- 2:57Speaker 3: do what you want to do, you got to do
- 2:59Speaker 3: what you got to do at the start, right, And
- 3:01Speaker 3: that's what she was saying. Because I wholeheartedly agree with
- 3:04Speaker 3: I have this like thought in my head that your
- 3:06Speaker 3: twenties are for hustling at worse, your thirties are for
- 3:09Speaker 3: starting family or your family, and then your forties on
- 3:11Speaker 3: wood are for work life balance and priorities.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Yeah. See, when you said Oprah doesn't believe in work
- 3:17Speaker 2: life balance, I instantly got on the defense because as
- 3:20Speaker 2: a mom and a parent to three kids, even more
- 3:23Speaker 2: so with my husband, like his company really supports work
- 3:26Speaker 2: life balance and they encourage, you know, two days from
- 3:28Speaker 2: home and wrapping up early on a Friday and stuff.
- 3:31Speaker 2: But I agree, in your twenties you absolutely hustle and
- 3:34Speaker 2: you work hard and you make you know, you prove yourself,
- 3:38Speaker 2: and then you reap the benefits of that.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You know later on, there's a lot in their twenties.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Who absolutely don't want to work hard, but they.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Still want the big They're like, they expect to be manager.
- 3:48Speaker 1: To begin with, I'm sounding like an old grumpy man.
- 3:50Speaker 4: And also I.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Feel like a lot of kids these days, like in
- 3:53Speaker 2: their twenties, they don't want to work a minute past
- 3:56Speaker 2: five o'clock, They don't want to do any over time,
- 3:58Speaker 2: they take their whole hour lunch, they don't want to
- 4:01Speaker 2: take work home, They love a mental health day.
- 4:04Speaker 1: There's not a lot of.
- 4:05Speaker 3: People though who in that. It depends, right, what your
- 4:07Speaker 3: priorities are. See, in a lot of cases, people in
- 4:10Speaker 3: their twenties only work so they've got money to travel
- 4:12Speaker 3: and do all those.
- 4:13Speaker 1: There and take time. I'm not going to go.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I prioritize that, Yeah, and that's why I think I'm
- 4:18Speaker 3: in a better spot in my career than some other
- 4:20Speaker 3: people my age. However, they'd argue they got better life
- 4:22Speaker 3: experience because I barely traveled and they have.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Well I'm the same. All I did was radio since
- 4:26Speaker 1: I was like twenty. But you're not going to get ahead,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I think, in especially this industry, but any industry if
- 4:32Speaker 1: you don't work your ass off, right Brooklyn, although you
- 4:34Speaker 1: did miss a lot of mornings by out partying.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Yeah, well, in your twenties, you can do it all.
- 4:40Speaker 3: You can work every day Monday to Friday or weekends whatever,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and you can still go out and have a life
- 4:46Speaker 3: like you You have so much energy to do it,
- 4:48Speaker 3: so you shouldn't want.
- 4:50Speaker 1: More work like work life balance. I think party, yes, sleep,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I did, yes.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I literally yeah, I did both when in my twenties. Wow,
