- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more of the Mark Simon Show on sevent ten
- 0:04Speaker 1: Woo behind the mic for Mark.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Today, it's Jim Kerr.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Just before I say goodbye to the topic of these
- 0:14Speaker 1: women who are so in love with Luigi Mangioni and
- 0:19Speaker 1: sit in the courtroom sighing at the sight of him.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Before we move on from that, somebody mentioned to me, well,
- 0:25Speaker 2: you know, he's innocent until proven guilty. And I understand
- 0:30Speaker 2: the presumption of innocence. But the presumption of innocence is
- 0:33Speaker 2: a legal construct, and that has to do with the
- 0:37Speaker 2: manner in which the courts operate. And surely in a
- 0:42Speaker 2: court of law where the government the prosecution must prove
- 0:49Speaker 2: that a defendant has committed a crime beyond a reasonable doubt,
- 0:53Speaker 2: there is in fact a presumption of innocence. That doesn't
- 0:56Speaker 2: mean that all of us have to believe that the
- 0:59Speaker 2: man is innocent. I am not going to be a juror.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I already had my jury duty a couple of months ago.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm not going to be a juror in this case.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I don't have to believe in a presumption of innocence.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't have to. I can look at what I
- 1:14Speaker 2: see and make up my own mind whether I'm right
- 1:18Speaker 2: or whether I'm wrong, because somebody said, well, how can
- 1:21Speaker 2: you how can you be condemning those women who are
- 1:24Speaker 2: big fans of Luis gi MANGIONI. If he's presumed innocent,
- 1:29Speaker 2: you don't even know whether he did it or not. Well,
- 1:32Speaker 2: the way that I view it, those fans they believe
- 1:36Speaker 2: he did it too, and they love him anyway. And
- 1:38Speaker 2: of course we all hope that he, in any criminal defendant,
- 1:43Speaker 2: gets a fair trial. But come on, oh, I can
- 1:47Speaker 2: love him anyway because he's presumed innocent. That's just ridiculous.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It's the Marximone show here at wor and the telephone
- 1:55Speaker 2: numbers eight hundred and three to two, one zero seven
- 1:58Speaker 2: to ten, and we've got Mike on the phone from
- 2:02Speaker 2: rose Elle Park. How you doing, Mike? Good morning?
- 2:06Speaker 3: Okay, I grew up listening to you.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Plan that makes me feel anyway. I hope you still do.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:15Speaker 3: You know the topic you were discussing before about women
- 2:20Speaker 3: boy in love with murderers. So back in like seventy seven,
- 2:25Speaker 3: seventy eight, this guy brutally murdered his girlfriend after high
- 2:30Speaker 3: school graduation in Cranford, New Jersey.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Right, Okay, it's a beautiful town. By the way, it's
- 2:36Speaker 2: hard to even h equate Cranford, New Jersey with terrible
- 2:40Speaker 2: violence like that.
- 2:43Speaker 3: So anyway, Uh, it's a disturbing topic. But I went
- 2:48Speaker 3: to watch a Yankee game at the Riverside End in Cranford.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I'm not going to mention the names of people, right,
- 2:54Speaker 3: please don't. This guy just killed his girlfriend right and totally,
- 3:03Speaker 3: and he stepped into the bar like nothing ever happened
- 3:08Speaker 3: watching the Yankee game, and his brother convince him to
- 3:11Speaker 3: turn himself in, but he went away for twenty years
- 3:17Speaker 3: and writing him love letters while he's in prison, and
- 3:24Speaker 3: she married the guy who murdered somebody after he got
- 3:29Speaker 3: out of prison.
- 3:30Speaker 2: No, there there are things, Mike that most of us
- 3:34Speaker 2: just cannot understand, and that is certainly one of them. So, Mike,
- 3:38Speaker 2: thank you for calling. Vincent is on the line from Brooklyn. Hello, Vincent,
- 3:43Speaker 2: Welcome to w o r's Mark Morning.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Jim. I believe we're living in a sympathy for the
- 3:52Speaker 5: devil world and I'm sure you're familiar with the song
- 3:55Speaker 5: and as your next guest, Scott Shannon Is and I say,
- 3:59Speaker 5: if you look listen to the lyrics of that song,
- 4:02Speaker 5: it talks about how making things topsy turvy. Now look
- 4:07Speaker 5: at this from a deviant's mind, or people who are
- 4:12Speaker 5: looking to get the votes of deviants and of law breakers.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Look at the Democratic Party that now they put on
- 4:22Speaker 5: a platform they elevate the people who come into this
- 4:26Speaker 5: country illegally, and they fight against ice and the authorities
- 4:31Speaker 5: who are looking to get these people out of the country.
- 4:35Speaker 5: There's a line in sympathy for the devil, and Mick
- 4:39Speaker 5: Jagger says, and all you sinners are saints. The only
- 4:44Speaker 5: way you could get people who at one time will
- 4:49Speaker 5: consider either the dregs or society anti social, who did
- 4:55Speaker 5: bell who didn't live their life as they should in
- 4:59Speaker 5: a correct You have to put down the people who
- 5:04Speaker 5: are living their life in a good way, who are
- 5:07Speaker 5: contributing to society, who are making something of themselves, and
- 5:12Speaker 5: then you could elevate the other people, the people who
- 5:17Speaker 5: are living abnormally, let's say, or in an anti social way,
- 5:24Speaker 5: like this guy, Luigi Mangioni. And that's how society, starting
- 5:29Speaker 5: fifty sixty years ago, they created the environment to have
- 5:34Speaker 5: these three crazy women go in the courtroom and practically
- 5:39Speaker 5: drool over this alleged I'm going to say alleged, but
- 5:43Speaker 5: I saw the video of him putting a cap in
- 5:46Speaker 5: the back of Brian Thompson's back to make that's how
- 5:51Speaker 5: they make these women drool over these maniactors, these communist
- 5:56Speaker 5: teachers we have in the university.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You know, yeah, yeah, you're you're taking the tentacles you know,
- 6:04Speaker 1: all over the place, and and and uh, you know, Vincent,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I do appreciate your you're mentioning the Rolling Stone song,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and thank you for calling. By the way, However, a
- 6:14Speaker 1: careful listen of Sympathy for the Devil would show that
- 6:17Speaker 1: it has a great deal of lyrical nuance and it
- 6:20Speaker 1: doesn't really promote those things that are actually presented as
- 6:26Speaker 1: happening in society in the song. But anyway, that's another
- 6:31Speaker 1: conversation for another time. And the Rolling Stones have a
- 6:33Speaker 1: new album coming out, and uh, and I just can't
- 6:37Speaker 1: believe how how amazingly energetic they are as they continue
- 6:43Speaker 1: to make their way through life. I know this is
- 6:45Speaker 1: a big you know, uh, a big turn away from
- 6:50Speaker 1: what we were just talking about a moment ago. But
- 6:51Speaker 1: since Vincent mentioned the Rolling Stones, I saw the Rolling
- 6:55Speaker 1: Stones a few weeks ago at an event in Brooklyn
- 6:58Speaker 1: and they're ageless.
- 7:02Speaker 2: They're absolutely ageless. Mick Jagger goes out on the stage
- 7:05Speaker 2: and performs for two and a half hours. He never
- 7:07Speaker 2: stops moving. I mean, it's just absolutely incredible. A couple
- 7:11Speaker 2: of things that I wanted to mention this morning on
- 7:13Speaker 2: Marximon's show here at Radio seven to ten wor I've
- 7:18Speaker 2: been keeping my eye on the poop patrol because the
- 7:23Speaker 2: New York City Council wants more bags and more signs
- 7:25Speaker 2: and more fines to get rid of the waste via
- 7:29Speaker 2: a revised and strengthened Scoop Act. And of course, I
- 7:33Speaker 2: think everybody can agree that not cleaning up after your dog,
- 7:38Speaker 2: and I've had dogs that and I if I can
- 7:41Speaker 2: pick it up, anybody can pick it up. That not
- 7:43Speaker 2: cleaning after your dogs is just, you know, not a
- 7:46Speaker 2: good thing. It's antisocial behavior. But let's talk about dogs peeing.
- 7:52Speaker 2: You know a lot of people and maybe it's because
- 7:54Speaker 2: they just don't know, but they let their dogs pee
- 7:58Speaker 2: in the tree pits here in the city, and those
- 8:03Speaker 2: trees are put up by the city, and the dog
- 8:07Speaker 2: peek kills the trees, and those tree pits are right
- 8:12Speaker 2: along the curb. So just move the dog another few
- 8:15Speaker 2: inches off the curb to go on the street, not
- 8:19Speaker 2: in the dog pits. Okay, that's just a little thing
- 8:21Speaker 2: that I had in my mind that I wanted to
- 8:23Speaker 2: share with everybody this morning here on woor Also on
- 8:28Speaker 2: West seventy second Street, there is a great deal of
- 8:31Speaker 2: controversy right now regarding a new bike lane, and there
- 8:37Speaker 2: has been well a unanimity from the people in the neighborhood,
- 8:44Speaker 2: many of whom are seniors, that expanded bike lanes along
- 8:48Speaker 2: seventy second Street would not necessarily be a good idea.
- 8:52Speaker 2: The No seventy second Street Bike Lane Coalition gather over
- 8:55Speaker 2: a thousand signatures so far on a petition that is
- 9:00Speaker 2: posing the proposal, and there is going to be picketing
- 9:04Speaker 2: that will take place Saturday morning. It's seventy second Street
- 9:06Speaker 2: and Broadway. One of the problems, of course, with the
- 9:10Speaker 2: bike lanes as they are presently constituted here in the
- 9:13Speaker 2: city is that people go the wrong way on one
- 9:16Speaker 2: way streets. That's a bit of a problem. The bikes
- 9:19Speaker 2: go faster than cars, that's another problem. They go through
- 9:22Speaker 2: red lights. But even more than that, there's parking beyond
- 9:27Speaker 2: the bicycle lanes. Out into the street and then taxi
- 9:32Speaker 2: cabs or ubers or maybe a vehicle accessor ride that
- 9:38Speaker 2: would pick up a senior to take them to a
- 9:40Speaker 2: medical appointment. That senior citizen has to get over a
- 9:43Speaker 2: park a bike lane, over a parking lane, and out
- 9:46Speaker 2: basically into the middle of the street, you know, just
- 9:49Speaker 2: to hail a cab or to get into an accessor
- 9:52Speaker 2: ride vehicle. And that's very, very unsafe, and there must
- 9:55Speaker 2: just be a better way of accommodating the needs of
- 9:58Speaker 2: people who ride bicycle and people who have a difficult
- 10:02Speaker 2: time negotiating the traffic nightmare that can be, you know,
- 10:06Speaker 2: a bicycle lane. Anyway, I just wanted to share that
- 10:10Speaker 2: with you this morning here on WR and we have
- 10:15Speaker 2: Joshua on the line right now. Hello Joshua, Hi.
- 10:21Speaker 6: I would I have something to say about these psychologists
- 10:27Speaker 6: trying to explain to us the behavior of the young
- 10:31Speaker 6: women loving murderers. Well, I can explain it in just
- 10:38Speaker 6: one word, stupidity.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Okay, thank you so much for that, Patrick, And Danny
- 10:45Speaker 2: is on the line. Hi, Danny, how are you today?
- 10:48Speaker 5: Jim?
- 10:49Speaker 4: You are awesome. I don't know if the audience knows
- 10:51Speaker 4: you used to take your audience to met games and
- 10:54Speaker 4: whatever the vendor would come by. You buy the whole tray.
- 10:57Speaker 4: By the whole tray, you are you are the man him.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Well, thank you. That was a lot of fun and
- 11:02Speaker 2: we really, I really enjoyed doing that.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I remember one day we had a double header baseball
- 11:07Speaker 1: bus where we took a whole group of listeners to
- 11:10Speaker 1: a day game at Shay and then a night game
- 11:13Speaker 1: at Yankee Stadium. And we had different hats and jerseys
- 11:16Speaker 1: so that we could change in the bus as we
- 11:19Speaker 1: were going from one team to another.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Those were fun times. So what's on your mind today, Danny?
- 11:24Speaker 4: Well, it's not in my mind, is all right? You
- 11:27Speaker 4: had the Boston marathon terrorist, the one brother who turned
- 11:31Speaker 4: his other brother into a speed bump, the guy that's
- 11:34Speaker 4: in jail, the terrorists that lived. He gets pub letters
- 11:38Speaker 4: all the time from women, marriage proposals and everything. Sometimes
- 11:44Speaker 4: you wondered half the letters coming from communist China or something,
- 11:47Speaker 4: you know, just to make us like a bunch of
- 11:50Speaker 4: you know, a bunch.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Of I don't want to say, but you know, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 2: but guess what. But guess what, Danny, They're not They're
- 11:55Speaker 2: not coming from China. They're coming from our own homegrown people.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yes, the women are sending these guys that are in
- 12:02Speaker 4: love with them. It just goes to show. Yeah, listen,
- 12:05Speaker 4: there are cycle paths amongst us. Any woman that wants
- 12:08Speaker 4: to data guy or go out a guy who's a
- 12:11Speaker 4: murderer has she ain't dealing with no full deck. There's
- 12:14Speaker 4: no way she's dealing with a full deck, you know.
- 12:17Speaker 4: And you don't see guys writing love letters to women
- 12:20Speaker 4: in prison. We hear anything like that. Women murderer and
- 12:23Speaker 4: guys writing let us to of course not. But the
- 12:25Speaker 4: thing is, it's something in our society. There's a lot
- 12:29Speaker 4: of people out there who, let's face it, the more
- 12:32Speaker 4: people you have in the country and we have three
- 12:34Speaker 4: hundred and fifty million there, the more lunatics you're gonna
- 12:37Speaker 4: have running around. That's just it's just a numbers game.
- 12:40Speaker 4: And unfortunately we've absorbed a lot from foreign countries. Under
- 12:44Speaker 4: Joe Biden and even before him, a lot of crazy
- 12:47Speaker 4: people have come in. And it's funny like like in California, right,
- 12:53Speaker 4: there's a woman who's she was a mayor. She's a
- 12:55Speaker 4: spy for China.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Right, a suburban in suburban Los Angeles. Yeah, that's that happens.
- 13:03Speaker 2: That happened. We have, you know, here in New York.
- 13:05Speaker 2: We've got a lot of spies here in New York
- 13:06Speaker 2: because we've got you know, so many uh different diplomatic
- 13:10Speaker 2: missions and stuff here
