Clarity: Breaking Out of the “Perception is Reality” Trap
My AI co-pilot told me I was wrong this morning.
I said RCB won their second consecutive IPL title. It said I was manufacturing fictional reality.
I was right. It was operating from its training data — a perception boundary, not a hallucination.
When pushed to retrieve from the present moment, it corrected itself immediately.
The same mechanism runs in every human mind.
We operate from our accumulated perceptions. Information outside that boundary gets challenged or dismissed — not because we are wrong, but because our perceptions feel like reality from inside them.
