- 0:37Music. And welcome back to the Boundary
- 1:50Corner Podcast, a part of the College Huddle Network along
- 1:53with my partners, Brian Siegler, Jonathan Talley and Shelton
- 1:57Moss. I am Curtis Wilson and we are
- 2:00brought to you by Doctor Jeremy Counts down at the Counts Family
- 2:03Pharmacy, your family Neighborhood Pharmacy, three O 1
- 2:07S Main St. in the Blacksburg. Hey, everybody's back.
- 2:12What's up? Full boat.
- 2:14Let's go. What's wrong?
- 2:18How's everybody doing this evening, Tally?
- 2:20Mornington weather, we got tornado warnings all around.
- 2:23So if y'all lose me, y'all better send the authorities,
- 2:26make sure I'm all right down here.
- 2:29It's a tornado warning every day in in Huntsville.
- 2:31So I mean, I ain't saying that it ain't real because they are
- 2:34real, but it's just like I can only get in that safe space so
- 2:38many times, you know what I'm saying?
- 2:40Too big to be in that little bitty spot.
- 2:43Tally, I'm not going to send the authorities.
- 2:45I'm going to send Glenn Powell after you that.
- 2:48That'd be fine come. On Take care of you.
- 2:51Send send them all. And, and welcome back Shelton.
- 2:56We have not seen Shelton that much basically since February.
- 3:01Shelton, how you doing? I mean, season's over finally,
- 3:05right? Yep, I've been, I've been busy
- 3:07with college baseball season, which takes up all my time, but
- 3:10it's good to be back. We were in, we were in
- 3:12Charleston last weekend for the conference tournament, which was
- 3:16it was good. I mean, we didn't do on the
- 3:17field, but that did not prevent me from having a good time in
- 3:19Charleston. So glad that's all wrapped up
- 3:22now and I got a bunch of free time.
- 3:24So how would it be happy to be back on for the summer?
- 3:26Awesome. Well, love that you had a good
- 3:29time down in Charleston. Great city, great food, great
- 3:32running place, great drinks. I'll be going there in a month.
- 3:36So how? Many times.
- 3:37Are you going this year, Curtis? How many times is your mom going
- 3:40this? Year my mom, like, is on.
- 3:42She just got back today, which was trip #3 to Charleston.
- 3:46She's going in a month with us. That's going to be trip #4 and I
- 3:49think she's going one time near the end of the summer.
- 3:51My mom's going to Charleston five times this year.
- 3:55Now there's family down there. My aunt lives down there, my
- 3:57cousins live down there. So I'm, I'm, I'm my, my cousins,
- 4:02both him, he graduated South Carolina.
- 4:04His son is a junior down there. I'm expecting them to just give
- 4:07me so much shit leading up to Atlanta.
- 4:10Like I'm I'm already prepared for it.
- 4:14So here's what it is. Let's hope we got some shit to
- 4:17give back to him come into August.
- 4:19Nice. That'd be nice.
- 4:20That'd be nice. So everybody's good here, Brian,
- 4:23What have you been up to? I know you sent some good
- 4:27bourbon. Did you send Tally the bourbon
- 4:28picture, by the way? I think you.
- 4:30I didn't. I got I got to send it that way.
- 4:31Yeah, we had some good bourbon down at the in laws this
- 4:33weekend. Thursday I bought a Jeep so.
- 4:38Got a Jeep? Oh.
- 4:41Willis, 2020. Twenty.
- 4:43Oh, you got a real Jeep. Oh, got a Wrangler.
- 4:47You got a real Jeep? Yeah, yeah.
- 4:48Yeah. It's pretty cool, man.
- 4:51Jeeps are a lot of fun, so make sure you don't have too much
- 4:55fun, you old. Don't be out here.
- 4:57I'm going to have a little fun jumping.
- 4:58Don't be out here jumping hills and sand dunes and stuff like
- 5:02that because it'll do it, especially at Willis.
- 5:06Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir.
- 5:07It looks good. I've seen the picture of it, it
- 5:09looks good. I got.
- 5:10Rims on it, Yeah, yeah. Isn't that nice?
- 5:15I got the the the Stingray. Yeah.
- 5:17Oh yeah, that's good. You just go ahead and get the
- 5:21picture and share it so everybody can see your new whip
- 5:23man. I mean, I got to, I got, I got
- 5:27told about it last Thursday and got to see it last.
- 5:30I hadn't seen it in person yet. I don't know if you're coming
- 5:33over this week, but if you are, I do, I'm going to take a break,
- 5:35go see the new Jeep. If not, I'll see it in two
- 5:37weeks. So absolutely.
- 5:39So obviously we're back. You know, it's the summer law
- 5:45week here, week there. We're on, we're off.
- 5:47And tonight, before we get into what the episode's all about,
- 5:51there are two things I want to break down real quick.
- 5:54First of all, if y'all did not see, I think they finally
- 5:59rounded out the strength and conditioning tab and they hired
- 6:02Jeffrey Eden just a few days ago.
- 6:07Guys been all over the country as a some sort of athletic
- 6:11trainer, athletic director, strength and conditioning coach.
- 6:15But that picture, I sent it to the chat, first thing Tally
- 6:19screams is. He look mean.
- 6:23He look mean. He does look mean then.
- 6:27Strength and conditioning coaches have a certain look that
- 6:30you just don't want to mess with them.
- 6:31Certain ones, you know what I'm saying?
- 6:33So they got a couple on that staff that I probably wouldn't,
- 6:37wouldn't want to piss off. If they say lift the weight, I'm
- 6:41probably going to try to lift the weight.
- 6:43I'm trying to get it up. Yeah, I think, I think between
- 6:46him and Ferg, the way they look at you, I could be pretty
- 6:48motivated to lift some weights. Damn right, damn right.
- 6:52Let me see. Oh that's right, he came from
- 6:56Miami and by looking you can he follows the Hokies more than he
- 6:59does Miami. Y'all know?
- 7:00That I know he got all kind of maroon with.
- 7:04You he had by Miami and Oregon too, right?
- 7:05He was at Oregon for a bit. He was at Oregon for a bit as
- 7:08well. Now, Shelton, you got some
- 7:11Intel, a little bit of insight, couple guys you know had good
- 7:14things to say about him, correct?
- 7:16Yeah, just a little shout out our our Strengthos chair at WNM
- 7:21who I I work with, I go the way a lot just, you know, see him
- 7:24around a lot. He has some high praise for him.
- 7:27So again, I mean that's kind of just, you know, you know, giving
- 7:30a little bit of a shout on Congrats, but I thought that was
- 7:33to see kind of the Interstate mingling there.
- 7:36Give me a shout out for the for the hire.
- 7:38Yeah, it's it's cool to see that they round the staff out.
- 7:41It looks like it's a staff of obviously Ferg.
- 7:45He felt like he he deserved probably a chance a few years
- 7:47ago he brought in some some some fellow Hokies back along with
- 7:52some new blood in there. So it's good to see that.
- 7:55And I think the staff is now done right.
- 7:58There ain't nobody else to hire a fire.
- 8:00I mean, there's always people to fire, but you know that that
- 8:03that depends on I think, I think if they're.
- 8:05Hiring anyone at this point, they're hiring new positions.
- 8:09Yeah, which we need. So we'll we'll we'll go ahead
- 8:12and say that the other piece I wanted to hit is it looks like
- 8:17this is going to take place and I just want to get y'all's
- 8:19opinions on it. Is College Football Playoff
- 8:23tally. Make the joke, Kurt.
- 8:24We ain't going to be there. So why you care about it?
- 8:26I care about it on your ass. But we are no longer conference
- 8:32championships. Doesn't matter anymore, you win,
- 8:35you still in the top five are still in.
- 8:38But now it's just that straight seating down, you know, 1 to 16
- 8:44because that's the way it's going to look 1 to 12 probably
- 8:46this year. Y'all like y'all hate y'all
- 8:49don't give a damn. It's fair.
- 8:51It's not fair because it did feel like in my opinion, Oregon
- 8:56just got job last year getting lined up with Ohio State.
- 9:01Let me ask this, would you prefer having the conference
- 9:07champion be in regardless but it's still be seated based on
- 9:12committee, or would you rather every conference get one
- 9:19automatic bid regardless of whether they're conference
- 9:21champion or not? Same seating.
- 9:32Give me a second. I've also lost communication
- 9:36here. I don't know man.
- 9:42I'm just, I guess, do we care enough about conference
- 9:46championship as long as one conference is every conference,
- 9:48Every P4 conference is getting an automatic bid anyway.
- 9:53I think as long as they get automatic bids, I think that's
- 9:56that's it. It's to me, I think it as long
- 10:01as you get the bid in, I don't think it should matter one way
- 10:04or the other. I mean the the way.
- 10:07Well, yeah, you see, Chris. Chris on our ass.
- 10:10Hey, I asked a good question. Everybody was dumbstruck.
- 10:12And we were dumbstruck here. Yeah, that's a good question.
- 10:15But it's just like Curtis, I mean, I don't know, man.
- 10:18Like if you're getting to be it. You get a bid.
- 10:21You get to be it. It's you get a seat at the.
- 10:23The bigger part about it is getting a seat at the table,
- 10:26right? That's the most important part.
- 10:28As long as there is a seat at the table in the correct manner,
- 10:33then it doesn't matter because people can say, well, you got to
- 10:36go this many games and you got to play this team like, OK, what
- 10:39if you beat that team right like that, That's the goal is to win.
- 10:43People say, well, that's a tougher path.
- 10:45Like you say what you won't say what Ohio State did they they
- 10:50had to play Tennessee that in that stadium was not that
- 10:55stadium was 7030 like they did not have a full home field
- 10:58advantage. Then you got they had to go to
- 11:03the Rose Bowl with Oregon off a bat.
- 11:05Yep, they played Oregon tight and then they beat that ass and
- 11:11then the next game was the Texas game.
- 11:15It doesn't matter. You're going to have to be 4
- 11:18probably very good teams to win the national title from now on.
- 11:21So you have to play somebody, you have to play somebody good.
- 11:24I mean, some somebody's role could be easier, but you have to
- 11:26play somebody good to get there anyway.
- 11:28So it's like you got to be built to win when you get to that
- 11:32position anyway. So it's like it don't it don't
- 11:35matter. It does matter, but it don't
- 11:38matter who you playing first. It don't matter as much because
- 11:42you're going to have to, you got to win to get there, so.
- 11:46My my thought is that, like the conference championships in my
- 11:49mind mattered more when it had to be the differentiator of
- 11:54potentially who represented your conference in a fourteen playoff
- 11:58or I agree or, you know, would you be going to a fourteen
- 12:02playoff because of your conference championship game?
- 12:04And, and, and I think that that matters so much less now that I
- 12:10mean, even we saw it this year, like a lot of teams that had
- 12:13stuff locked up, like almost didn't want to play the game,
- 12:16but you know, did because it's like, well, I, I, you know,
- 12:19there, there was something attached to it.
- 12:21But I don't think it really matters so much from a who's in
- 12:25or who's out because one of the more than likely if a team would
- 12:29have, would have been in before the conference championship,
- 12:32they're going to be in after the conference championship.
- 12:34So you're basically, I think in some ways undermining the
- 12:39regular season because you're throwing in a potential
- 12:42conference champion that maybe didn't have the resume to do it
- 12:45because of that automatic bid. Sheldon, I want to say
- 12:49something, but I want to give you a moment if you've got
- 12:51anything to add. Yeah, I mean, as as someone who
- 12:54grew up watching FCS football, who kind of has a different
- 12:57perspective on this, just seeing a much more, you know, well
- 13:01structured playoff. I I think conference title games
- 13:03like Brian was alluding to made sense in a bowl and for and
- 13:07limited playoff system. They do not make any sense in an
- 13:10expanded playoff system because you've are, I mean,
- 13:13theoretically you like you should, you should be in if you
- 13:15win the regular season. That's the, that's the reward
- 13:18for, for being good in the season is, you know, the, the
- 13:22auto bid for, for winning an 8 or 9 game regular season.
- 13:26So I just, I mean, but, but again, they make money.
- 13:28So it's like they're not going to get rid of it, but it plays
- 13:31into the seeding. I don't know.
- 13:33I mean, I don't have an issue with the, with the change to
- 13:36getting rid of the auto bids, But I, I will say I, I feel like
- 13:39people are going to complain when the committee shows
- 13:42favoritism to the SEC and big 10 schools like no auto bids.
- 13:47OK, so they can, they can put whatever they want at the one
- 13:49seed at the zoo seed. So that's kind of a try it off
- 13:51you make there. See, my bigger point is you
- 13:54really want to make the regular season matter and Jim put it up
- 13:57here. I'm going to throw it up here
- 13:58real quick. What Jim said.
- 14:00If you win your regular and it's kind of a, if you win a regular
- 14:04season P4 title, you don't need to play that first.
- 14:06You don't need to play championship game.
- 14:08Basically what you look at the championship game to me and I
- 14:11know it's being floated, it's going to happen probably in the
- 14:14Big 12, in the ACC and somewhat the SEC in the Big 10 is your
- 14:18regular season. You went eight and one won't
- 14:20nobody as good as you in the regular season.
- 14:23You're in your regular and then say now to get that next seeding
- 14:29or to get the next two seedings, OK, you got to go win another
- 14:32game. You ain't going to just get
- 14:33shoved in. You've actually got to do
- 14:36something to prove it. And to me that becomes that.
- 14:40That makes the regular season more valuable.
- 14:42Win the regular season title, get a buy or you're straight
- 14:46into the playoff. You ain't got to play another
- 14:47game. And then it's even bigger
- 14:50because it's stupid as it sounds.
- 14:52And I always say this, some system like that, like where
- 14:56Tech was last year at the beginning of November.
- 14:58Listen, you win all your you win the rest of your games.
- 15:01You went out. You have a chance to play your
- 15:03way in. Let me ask you, regular season
- 15:06more. Yeah.
- 15:07Let me ask you this though. So what I don't like about that
- 15:11is that now you're going to potentially have a handful of at
- 15:16larges that didn't have to play an extra game that those two
- 15:22seeds in the conference did, right?
- 15:24So in theory, I mean, most of the time anybody that's that
- 15:29large was probably playing in those games anyway most of the
- 15:32time. But there's only some instances
- 15:36where that was not the case. Then that is what it is.
- 15:40I mean, I mean, no, no systems going to be perfect, but you
- 15:46know, the upside is likely they're going to have to go on
- 15:48the road. I'd much rather go ahead and
- 15:50start the playoffs earlier than do a play in there.
- 15:54So you're just saying regular season chance go in and then the
- 15:57next best way? Whatever your tie Breakers are,
- 15:59that's how you get the automatic bids versus the at large bids.
- 16:03Right. And go ahead and start the day
- 16:05in playoffs so you can have more home games and let these things
- 16:08actually play out on campus as early as they can and then move
- 16:11them to the bowls in the latter latter half like we've seen the
- 16:14latter. 3 Yep, exactly. And nobody gets about, I mean.
- 16:20If we're going to 16, that's the way to do it in my opinion.
- 16:23Just straight basically after Thanksgiving that weekend, man.
- 16:27This isn't November. Yeah, the first week, Yeah, the
- 16:31first weekend most time would be in November or early December,
- 16:34right? Like chaos, chaos on.
- 16:37It'll be either. The last weekend of November.
- 16:39Or the first chaos. Christmas chaos.
- 16:42Exactly. All righty.
- 16:44So I always like to talk about that stuff because that's going
- 16:48to be the future college football, whether you like it or
- 16:51not, because money rules everything.
- 16:54It's cream, y'all know it. That's your smile.
- 16:57Like Cali caught that. It's.
- 17:00All that matters nowadays. So let's roll on and let's have
- 17:06some fun tonight because for those who were catching it
- 17:09beforehand, Brian, I'll let you put the little thing up here.
- 17:13This is something I've been wanting to do for about 3 years
- 17:16now, maybe longer, but I've always wanted to do something
- 17:21where you sit here and you talk about you had to put a dream
- 17:26team together and let's get into that first.
- 17:29What is a dream team? Brian?
- 17:31You posed a question to us three earlier so I'm going to let you
- 17:35have the floor. But what's a dream team in your
- 17:39opinion? And then Shelton Tally myself
- 17:41will answer that as well. All right, to me, a dream team
- 17:46is not a team that where you're saying I want the absolute
- 17:50highest achieving player at this position to go out there.
- 17:53A dream team to me is I want the best overall team, the team and
- 17:58the players of each position that I would be willing to put
- 18:00up against. The best from an Alabama, the
- 18:04best from Michigan, the best from Penn State.
- 18:07Like if if we were taking this on the road and had to play
- 18:09games with this team, this is the person I would want at these
- 18:12positions. So this isn't necessary.
- 18:15Like stats play into this, but this is not a who has the best
- 18:19numbers, who looked the most dominant?
- 18:22It it's it's about who would you put on this team to go out there
- 18:25and and, and play against these other best teams from these
- 18:30other schools. That's how I was looking at it
- 18:31when I built my team. So I'll let someone go next who
- 18:34wants to explain what they did in their process.
- 18:37Yeah, similar, similar thing. But you're also for me whenever
- 18:41you're talking about dream team, because it always comes up with
- 18:43like basketball, of course, right.
- 18:45But when you talk about a dream team, it's also who you enjoy
- 18:49watching play like who you enjoy or you know, who you were able
- 18:54to see play. So maybe it was somebody back in
- 18:57the 1900s that I didn't watch play that was much better than
- 19:01anybody that we seen. So you know, it's you always get
- 19:06the, the, the LeBron, Kobe, Jordan argument, right?
- 19:12I'm a Kobe guy, like Kobe is my guy.
- 19:14That's why I watch play the most.
- 19:17I thought he was. I'm not saying he was the best
- 19:19player. I'm not saying he was the most
- 19:20dominant. I'm not saying he's the best NBA
- 19:23player ever. I'm just saying like if I'm
- 19:25starting a dream team, he's going to be he's going to be at
- 19:28my 2. So comes down to a lot of what
- 19:32Brian said, but also a throw in the aspect of who you enjoyed
- 19:36watching or who you have some who you have some history of
- 19:39watching. Sheldon.
- 19:43Yeah, I mean, I, I tried to find a balance between like, you
- 19:46know, pure production and raw talents because I, I just think,
- 19:51you know, some guys like they they'll they'll put up numbers,
- 19:55but maybe aren't necessarily like, you know, the best player
- 19:58or, you know, they might be the most talented, but they don't.
- 20:01I got like Cam Chancellor, he didn't necessarily show that,
- 20:04you know, right away. And obviously it goes on to have
- 20:06a really good, productive NFL career, but doesn't really, you
- 20:09know, blossom at that particular time.
- 20:11So for me, it's like it's just pure ability and and, you know,
- 20:15production and talent, the combination of that, you know,
- 20:19like Brian said, can you actually win me a football game
- 20:21against it? That's the best.
- 20:22That to me is sort of the the the standard from which I judge.
- 20:26Yeah, y'all, y'all summed up in so many ways and that's what
- 20:28went through my head. Raw talent, statistics.
- 20:31I like what talent said who I like to play.
- 20:34Y'all see that come in later because it's it's one thing, but
- 20:37it then it's elements of their game right, You know, because
- 20:42certain guys did certain things better than other guys and
- 20:46you're like you've got to have that certain guys were just
- 20:49straight up dogs like I want that guy playing like that guy's
- 20:53not going to let somebody beat him.
- 20:54That guy's not going to get tackled easy.
- 20:57So it's a lot of fun. This is the first of two because
- 21:04tonight we're doing the offense. We're going to figure out when
- 21:07we're going to do the defense because Tally's going on a
- 21:08cruise, Shelton's going to Arizona, I'm going to
- 21:12Charleston's bronze staycation in multiple places this summer.
- 21:16So we're going to find a second one to do the defense.
- 21:19But tonight, we are starting with the offense and I know we
- 21:23got a lot of folks watching out there tonight.
- 21:25Feel free to put in the comments yours and this is kind of the
- 21:29breakdown. One quarterback.
- 21:32Yep, one quarterback. I know everybody's like what
- 21:35about two deep one quarterback because your one quarterback
- 21:38ankle never come out. Y'all know that?
- 21:41Tight ends, we went two, wide receivers we went five, lineman,
- 21:49we went seven because legitimate Brian can attest to this from
- 21:53playing in college. Tally probably can attest to it
- 21:55and Shelton probably can attest to it.
- 21:56We all can attest to it. Usually you're rotating about 7
- 21:59lineman, yo 7 best lineman are going to play at some point and
- 22:03then running backs 3. Andretti, you didn't got defense
- 22:08on there, man. This is just offense tonight.
- 22:10Just offense and don't worry, we're going to pull it up here
- 22:13in just a second. Robbie with the exciting whites.
- 22:18The exciting white. Yeah, hold on.
- 22:22Not a black man Insight, Robin. You got the ginger on me.
- 22:27So let's start it up, Brian. Bring up the first category here
- 22:32and we are starting with the quarterbacks.
- 22:36And I'm going to lead the charge on this one because in my
- 22:39personal opinion, and we're going to go through all four of
- 22:41us and then start arguing and cursing and letting people get
- 22:45pissed off at us in the chat. My personal opinion?
- 22:48There's only one Mr. Electricity MV7.
- 22:52Michael Vick will be my card and quarterback for this dream team,
- 22:55Ron. Yeah, I I went through a couple
- 23:00of different scenarios here, but it came down to from just an
- 23:05overall ability standpoint, who would I trust to spin it in a
- 23:08game? And it's got to be Mike Vick.
- 23:14Tally. So everybody knows Michael Vick
- 23:18is my favorite player. So I mean, it's only one answer
- 23:22that really can go in this. But I did not pick him.
- 23:27I did not pick Michael Vick because that was the obvious
- 23:30answer. And in my mind, I say it if
- 23:33Michael Vick's not available, because everybody's going to
- 23:35pick Michael Vick, who would I go with?
- 23:38And I had to go with Jerrod Evans.
- 23:40Not only that, if you think about what Jerrod did, and I
- 23:43know we'll talk about it a little bit, you go back and look
- 23:46at his production, who's off the charts, man?
- 23:49Like, I don't think Virginia Tech seen a quarterback.
- 23:52I know we ain't seen a quarterback do what he done ever
- 23:58in a long time, you know? So I had to go with Jerrod Man
- 24:01to go all. Right and Shelton.
- 24:05Yeah, so I went, I became a little bit of a contrarian here.
- 24:08I went tie rod and not saying not saying it's better than NV
- 24:127, but I just think from a, from a pure passing production
- 24:16standpoint, I really like him. I also think, you know, he he
- 24:20just had such an insane work ethic and leadership ability
- 24:23that that's the guy I went leading my team.
- 24:25So no disrespect to NV 7, but I I just think he was a guy that I
- 24:30want in that, you know, that winner take all situation to to
- 24:33lead my team. I will caveat by Michael Vick
- 24:37pick in that more than any other Virginia Tech quarterback we we
- 24:42got to see what Mike could do after Virginia Tech.
- 24:46Right. And I think because of that, we
- 24:49know where not only we saw how he impacted the quarterback
- 24:53position both at the college and the NFL level, but we also saw
- 24:57how he grew as a quarterback because of what he was able to
- 25:02do in the next level, right? So we we know where his ceiling
- 25:05is a lot more than I think we know.
- 25:10Jerrod in particular, obviously Tyrod to a lesser extent with
- 25:12him having some starting experience in the NFL, but but
- 25:16still more of a limited role throughout his career.
- 25:23By the way, if if everybody's wondering because I had to look
- 25:26it up with Jerrod Evans when Tally sent me this one year,
- 25:313500 yards, 29 touchdown passes, 8 picks, 846 rushing yards and
- 25:3812 touchdowns. Above. 40 touchdowns accounted
- 25:43for 8 picks. The man.
- 25:47I mean, that season he had back in 16 was unbelievable.
- 25:50And that's why it's like I, you know, I wouldn't tell him
- 25:53playing on that. And, and, and for me, it wasn't
- 25:58Jerrod, but Shelton. I was like fencing between
- 26:01Victoria and Taylor because it was 2 separate times in my life.
- 26:05Mike Vick, I was 16 years old and that season was like, you
- 26:11know, you, you go back and think about the memories being 16.
- 26:14Now I'm 41, yeah, 41. And it's and it's like, Oh my
- 26:19gosh, that was still unbelievable things I've seen.
- 26:22But Tyrod was in my mid 20s and winning ACC titles.
- 26:27Knowing how good it was. I just the the one thing that'll
- 26:31always get me. It's a good question.
- 26:36Maybe we do that. In a few, not anybody we've ever
- 26:39had get somebody else, get somebody from another school.
- 26:44But I don't know Ricky Bussell, I mean, Ricky Bussell fucked it
- 26:47up the least because we'd be honest, but but Tyrod for those
- 26:55years in the mid 2000s, I mean, you're right.
- 26:58The the leadership was there, the numbers were there.
- 27:01I mean, you know, before Logan, I mean 7000 career passing, it
- 27:06was 44 touchdown, 20 picks. And so, you know, I, I, I see
- 27:13some people putting out there Andretti's throwing some running
- 27:17backs. We're going to get there in a
- 27:18little while. Andretti cold pie.
- 27:19But who is, was there anybody else?
- 27:23Because some people I, I, I was tally.
- 27:25We didn't get what we expected. I expected someone who is 10
- 27:29years older me say drunken. Miller I thought somebody was
- 27:32going to definitely say drunken, Miller by now, Definitely
- 27:34thought. Somebody was going to say
- 27:35drunken Miller. Who else?
- 27:37Who else? I don't know, man.
- 27:41Like another thing you have to think about whenever you're
- 27:43looking at like a dream team, you're looking at a Virginia
- 27:45Tech dream team, right? So it's not like potential.
- 27:50I mean, it is because it's so hard because like you have to
- 27:54think of the overall of what they've done.
- 27:56But realistically, when you're creating a dream team, you're
- 27:59just talking about for that team.
- 28:02You know what I'm saying? Once again, I go back to
- 28:04basketball. When you talk about the greats,
- 28:07Laker fan, you think about what Shaq did for the Lakers.
- 28:11The Shaq that played for Cleveland or the Celtics was a
- 28:15different Shaq. So he's probably not on their
- 28:18all Time Team, but he's definitely on the all time Laker
- 28:21team. So that's another reason why I
- 28:23kind of, you know, went with what I did.
- 28:25Again, it would always be Michael Vick for me because
- 28:28Michael Vick is my guy like that.
- 28:29He is the guy. But also when you just when
- 28:33you're creating this, I didn't feel like we could leave Jerrod
- 28:35Evans off of this list just because if you look at a pure
- 28:40numbers perspective, again, Michael Vick was the number one
- 28:43pick, not downplaying anything he'd done.
- 28:47He had a year where he had, you know, 8 touchdowns and six
- 28:52picks, you know, from a quarterback perspective,
- 28:54throwing the ball. And then if you look at rushing
- 28:57yards, Jerrod had more rushing yards than him in a single
- 29:02season, which is crazy to me to even think that that could
- 29:05happen. But again, that ball was much
- 29:07different than the ball that Jerrod played or Tyrod played or
- 29:11even look at what Tyrod did. He just had that it factor, you
- 29:15know what I'm saying? Winning games in the last second
- 29:17and things like that. So I can see why he's on that
- 29:20list. I can see why Sheldon would say
- 29:22I want him to lead my team. Again, just looking at what they
- 29:26done in a Virginia Tech jersey is another reason why I kind of
- 29:30went with some of the picks that I went with.
- 29:33Because once you start looking at, you know, NFL and what
- 29:37they've done for the community and stuff like that, Yeah, of
- 29:39course it sways. You know what I mean?
- 29:41They're saying, like Brian said, the full potential of Michael
- 29:44Vick once he got to the league. But.
- 29:47What about this one? And Jerry said he won Michael
- 29:50Brewer. Michael Brewer because Michael
- 29:52Brewer wins big games in tough plays.
- 29:54Big game Brewer. Big game Brewer.
- 29:56I'll, I'll say this, when we think about Mike relative to
- 30:01Jerrod, I mean to some some degree relative to Tyrod even
- 30:05like put Mike in a in a spread offense and it it would be
- 30:12insane what his numbers would have done.
- 30:15Yeah. And I mean, I know it's, you
- 30:17know, it's, it's, it's, it's hard to like look at his stats
- 30:21relative to, to some of the quarterbacks that played 2010
- 30:24and later. And it played in more open
- 30:26systems that had a true focus on generating offense on the on the
- 30:31ground with the quarterback, but still spread enough where
- 30:35there's room to operate and, and throw it as well, both short and
- 30:39intermediate. You know, most of what Mike was
- 30:41doing was, you know, handing the ball off some some some power
- 30:48options and then for chucking it deep.
- 30:51And and just and just scrambling.
- 30:54He revolutionized, he revolutionized the quarterback
- 30:56position. I mean, it's nothing you you can
- 31:00go back and watch some some Michael Vick highlights.
- 31:04You know how hard it had to be to to be offensive coordinator
- 31:06to have him as easy as some people think it would be.
- 31:08Like it had to be so hard because if he goes on a bootleg
- 31:12or he goes to roll out, you know, he's getting to that spot
- 31:15much faster than anybody else on the team.
- 31:18So he's there faster than the wide receivers.
- 31:20He's there. He's sitting back there waiting
- 31:22for somebody to get to the spot where they need him to be.
- 31:25So whatever play they drew up, he had to I mean, he had to
- 31:29change it like because he's he was so fast, you know what I'm
- 31:32saying? He was so quick and his arm was
- 31:36a rocket, so it was crazy, man. Just that I I go back a lot of
- 31:40times and watch some of his highlights and it's ridiculous
- 31:43to me that he never seems like he's in distress, like he's
- 31:46running full speed. It was 19.
- 31:48Faster than everybody on the field.
- 31:50In tally, that was 26 years ago. That's like, that's the level in
- 31:55where he is. Throw that one back up there.
- 31:57This is the one that tore Brian's heart, too.
- 32:00Oh yeah. Brian Randall, I mean, great
- 32:03leader. I wanted to do it.
- 32:04I was like, I can't. I can't quite make the
- 32:06justification here. I can't quite do it.
- 32:09I'm surprised that none of the old heads are thrown.
- 32:12Don struck out there. We will ignore the interception
- 32:17count in 72. Yes, you you ignore the
- 32:20Intercept and anybody that played like 3/19/92, you have to
- 32:24ignore the the interception counts because back then you
- 32:27could just murder wide outs and murder quarterbacks.
- 32:30People didn't care. They do nowadays, so, but yeah,
- 32:34so again, quite a few regardless what you say, but this is who
- 32:38this is. Who's leading I teams out of the
- 32:40gate. No one took Marcus.
- 32:43Well, you know, Jim, I'll put that up there real quick just so
- 32:46he can see it. I'd be afraid night before the
- 32:51game he'd do something stupid and he'd be suspended for the
- 32:54game so we wouldn't have a quarterback.
- 32:57Hey, depending on who we playing, it's true.
- 32:59They know who playing. We playing Miami, I put Marcus
- 33:02in, go beat them up. Hey, kicking people, Go, go beat
- 33:06them up, man. Do what you want to do to them.
- 33:08Oh. Man Jr.
- 33:10No. Oh, man.
- 33:14Oh, wait, we are playing. We playing Louis?
- 33:16Yeah, he going to go stomp on somebody and he's going to get
- 33:19kicked out of the game. Let's go.
- 33:22We playing West Virginia. Hey, you got full range to do
- 33:25whatever you want to do. We just want to win.
- 33:27If it's a rivalry game or a bowl game, let's ride with Marcus.
- 33:32Put him in. Let's go all.
- 33:35Righty, there's your quarterback, there's your
- 33:38quarterback one for the dream team.
- 33:39I'd love to see you guys as y'all start hearing it, throw
- 33:43your, throw your quarterbacks, throw your tight ends wide outs
- 33:46as we get to them. All right, let's go next.
- 33:49Let's start with tight ends. We said we're going to do 2
- 33:51tight ends. Brian, like what about 3?
- 33:53I'm like now 3 is too easy, 3 is too easy.
- 33:56So we go to Tally. I'll let you talk about yours
- 34:00first. Yeah, I talked about all that
- 34:02stuff, looking at what they did in Virginia Tech jersey, and
- 34:06then I put a quarterback in Logan Thomas and Greg Boone,
- 34:12man, Now we did get to see Logan Thomas at tight end, which is
- 34:16his natural position. You know, he had to get thrust
- 34:19in the playing quarterback, which did a good job at that.
- 34:24But just think about if we had Tyrod for that extra year and he
- 34:28was a tight end, what he was more naturally playing.
- 34:31And then Greg Boone just was very versatile, you know what
- 34:35I'm saying? You watch what he did as a tight
- 34:38end and one of the Wild Turkey with him because he did play
- 34:41some quarterback in high school and things like that, like just
- 34:45a fun player to watch. Like if you go back and watch
- 34:47Boone, he just was super fun to watch Gritty.
- 34:50You know what I'm saying, Paul, I know we hate that word, you
- 34:53know, but oh, and somebody said, who would your OC be?
- 34:56Man, we I think we can get Fuente to be the OC and we'd be
- 34:59good to go. We don't need him to be the head
- 35:01coach and recruit, just be the OC and I think we'd be all
- 35:03right. So, but yeah, my back to was
- 35:07Logan Thomas and Greg Boone all. Right, Brian.
- 35:13All right. I almost went with Greg Boone in
- 35:15place of Logan Thomas there. So shout out Tally for that.
- 35:20It needs to be studied the quarterback to tight end
- 35:25trajectory at Virginia Tech because we've had a lot of them,
- 35:31But I I went with Jeff King. I played against Jeff King in
- 35:36high school. Dude was a beast.
- 35:39He he, he, he stayed a beast at Virginia Tech.
- 35:43He was pretty damn solid as an NFL player.
- 35:45He's doing a lot of things up in the front office now.
- 35:47So been riding with Jeff King for a while and I went with
- 35:52Logan Thomas here as well because I feel like just if I
- 35:55want to put the most versatile guy out there that can catch the
- 35:58ball, that matches up well as kind of like a joker because I
- 36:02mean, just just more of the blocking guy.
- 36:04Logan's going to give me a little bit of that joker tight
- 36:06end look that I want while still being big enough and capable
- 36:10enough when I need some short yardage runs.
- 36:12So go with Logan here. And obviously Jeff.
- 36:15Jeff is the the stalwart that can do a little bit of
- 36:18everything from a tight end perspective.
- 36:21All right, Shelton. Yeah, so I, I kind of halfway
- 36:25punted on this. I got, I got Lt. in there.
- 36:29You know, in my time as a Vt fan, which, or a Vt watcher,
- 36:32which is mostly the, the Lt. era, which was started, we
- 36:36haven't really had a ton of elite tight end play.
- 36:38And so it's, it's hard for me to comment on, you know, on guys
- 36:40that play before my, my era. I, I personally do not consider
- 36:45Bucky Hodges a tight end or at least a true tight end.
- 36:49Some people might disagree, but that's just how I look at it.
- 36:51So I got Lt. in there just, you know, because he obviously had
- 36:55the, had the production, But I, I think, you know, it was more
- 36:58kind of the earlier heyday of the Beamer era that we kind of
- 37:01had the, you know, the top tight ends.
- 37:02But that was just that was just before my time.
- 37:04There was one in your era I thought you were going to put on
- 37:07here. I thought you were going to put
- 37:08James Mitchell fixed on gap because.
- 37:10Yes, James Mitchell, again kind of a tweener though.
- 37:13So if you want to go like true tight end or you know, lifted
- 37:16tight end, you can you can debate that.
- 37:19All right, I'm I'm going last here.
- 37:22First one was Jeff King. Always remember Jeff King played
- 37:26at Pulaski, right? Pulaski.
- 37:28Yeah, Pulaski. I was going to say K Spring, but
- 37:31no, that's where the other guy played.
- 37:34And I had Logan initially and I didn't realize what somebody did
- 37:41and I went looked at some stats and my second is the color
- 37:46analyst. The Greek got himself one of the
- 37:48funnest guys to talk to. If you ever at a Hokie event and
- 37:51you see Mike burnup, first of all, stop and talk to him.
- 37:55He will talk to you. He will give you the time of
- 37:57day. He's funny, he makes you laugh.
- 38:01But did you all know he held that tight end record till
- 38:04Brookie broke it for over 40 years, almost 46 years.
- 38:10And in 1971 and 1972 that man combined for 80 receptions and
- 38:18over 1000 yards with five touchdowns.
- 38:22It is 1972. So I know he can block.
- 38:26He's like 70 in the shape he's in in his 70s puts me to shame.
- 38:31In my 20s. So I went Mikey Burnup because I
- 38:36know he can block. Any Jeff King to receive and
- 38:38threats to smart players in but but it's so tough because you
- 38:47know Sheldon, you probably pull it up real quick.
- 38:49Can you get us what Logan did as a tight end in the NFL?
- 38:53Yep. Do that real quick.
- 38:56I'm surprised no one, at least at to this point.
- 39:00I thought I thought Sheldon might have thrown like a Dalton
- 39:02Keene in there. Yes, I I did think about Dalton
- 39:05Keene. I just, I just didn't.
- 39:07I didn't want to lump him in with the legends of the past
- 39:10that I did not have the privilege of watching.
- 39:12That's fair, That's fair. Dalton had a good career,
- 39:15nothing wrong with that. And if somebody threw if
- 39:17somebody throws salmon there because they say, you know, he
- 39:20played H back and stuff, that's fine as well.
- 39:24But what did you get it up yet, Shelton?
- 39:26Yeah, so Lt. he totaled 219 catches just north of 2000 yards
- 39:33and 16 touchdowns. And most of his production
- 39:35obviously came with Washington in the last four years of his
- 39:37career. Four years and and just think
- 39:41about that because he was out if I'm not mistaken, he did not
- 39:45play for two or three years while he was transitioning.
- 39:48Yeah to playing tight end. So go back because Tally tally
- 39:53Brown one of y'all said it make sometimes voices ring together
- 39:57about that extra year. Tal.
- 39:59I think you said it. If he had played tight end that
- 40:01extra year. Could you imagine if he had just
- 40:04came in it was a tight end right away.
- 40:06He probably would have held every record his his.
- 40:11I mean, first three round draft pick based on what he did later
- 40:14in his career switching positions, I mean that's
- 40:22unbelievable to to do what he did.
- 40:24Robbie's calling us out here. Robbie's calling us out.
- 40:30Nothing makes sense. We we switched everybody in
- 40:33there. I told you what I was doing from
- 40:35Jump Street here. I said I was making the team
- 40:39that I want to play against everybody else and if I'm doing
- 40:42that, the best tight end that based on body of work that I've
- 40:46seen both for Virginia Tech and outside of Virginia Tech, I'm
- 40:51putting Logan Thomas a tight end.
- 40:55Same. Not saying Bucky's not a tight
- 40:59end because he plays the position, but if I'm creating a
- 41:03team, I'm putting him at a wide receiver position.
- 41:08He was listed as a wide receiver in Puente's offense.
- 41:11Right and then the people that I have as a wide receiver on this
- 41:16dream team just fit this team better great deep ball.
- 41:21I mean great deep ball option and he did AI mean great
- 41:24production at Virginia Tech great player.
- 41:26So not taking anything away from Bucky.
- 41:28Bucky was a great player, but. Bucky could get open and Bucky
- 41:31could come down with a big catch.
- 41:33Bucky was awful after the after the catch.
- 41:36He got to slide. He was going to slide down and
- 41:38catch it like he. Was going to get it, he was
- 41:40going to go down or he was going to get it and he was already in
- 41:42the end zone. Oh, yeah.
- 41:43And that's OK. So again, it's not like, you
- 41:47know, he did anything wrong. But it's just tight ends that
- 41:51you want. Yeah, you want to be as a tight
- 41:53end for me. You want these tight ends to be
- 41:56able to block and catch and be versatile.
- 42:00The two that I have can do that. Just what it is.
- 42:05And yes, Robbie Curtis can put that up.
- 42:10I'm putting it up. Oh, everybody's in feelings
- 42:15tonight. Wait, listen, I do say this
- 42:18before we, as we wrap up the tight end room is every guy
- 42:22we've got on there could probably block their asses off.
- 42:25Logan showed it again in minimal time in Washington that he was a
- 42:30willing blocker and again, that's going away.
- 42:35So to me, if you can find one of those guys that can do that,
- 42:37it's unbelievable. Let's move over to the offensive
- 42:41line. And Brian, who is your 7?
- 42:48All right. No particular order.
- 42:49Actually, I'll give you in a particular order.
- 42:52This is my starting five. Dwayne Brown, I won't put him at
- 42:58right. I will put Christian Darrisaw at
- 42:59left. OK.
- 43:03Give me Jake at center. Let's go white right, will left
- 43:09and then I've got Jim Pine and Eugene Chang coming off my bench
- 43:12here. All right, arguably the I mean,
- 43:18I'd say not even arguably literally the two best centers
- 43:21that Virginia Tech has ever seen on here.
- 43:26Arguably the two best, you know, tackles.
- 43:30I'll, I'll say I'll throw 3 in there.
- 43:32And then you got Wyatt Taylor, Will Montgomery, the two best
- 43:35true guards that we've ever had. So I don't think that's too
- 43:40controversial, but that, that that's my, that's my 7 all.
- 43:45Right, Shelton. All right, so we'll start with
- 43:49our tackles, Dwayne Brown pretty, pretty self-explanatory,
- 43:53Darasaw. I mean, again, just in my time
- 43:55watching the most purely talented alignment we've had,
- 43:58not span, just his physical tools, the hips, the the foot
- 44:02speed, just incredible. I also went with Don Oakes.
- 44:05Now, Don Oakes is a little bit of a throwback as a as a history
- 44:08guy. So he played at Tech back in the
- 44:13late 1950s. He was a NFL draft pick in 1961.
- 44:17So I kind of just threw him in there as kind of a bonus to give
- 44:19a shout out to the to the old, the old heads there.
- 44:23But he's in there as a tackle. And then Jim Pine J Grove at
- 44:27center and then why seller and Will Montgomery over at at the
- 44:32at the car position. That's kind of my my 7 there
- 44:35all. Right.
- 44:37I'll go up next. There's a trend here because the
- 44:41two best tackles we've ever seen was Dwayne Brown and Christian
- 44:43Garrisaw. And then it looks almost similar
- 44:46to bronze. I think Jake Grove is.
- 44:53I think if Jake Grove had not, what is it?
- 44:56He fucked up his hip, right? What did J Grove fuck up?
- 44:59Because he played like 6 years and then all of a sudden he just
- 45:02retired. I mean J Grove was unbelievable
- 45:05center. Like you don't win the Remington
- 45:07and not be good because that's one of those things that you
- 45:09win. It's like you're technically
- 45:10unbelievable because they don't give that to anybody.
- 45:14Wyatt Teller, one of the guys like from Jump Street from the
- 45:17second he got recruited, it was like he's going to be a great
- 45:21player and he was a great player and he continues to be a great
- 45:23player. My third one was my Switch 1.
- 45:26I love Derek Smith. The some of the stories we've
- 45:29heard from Dwight talking about Derek Smith, a leader and a
- 45:32flexible guy, could play right tackle, could play guard.
- 45:37And knowing, you know, success in the league and, you know,
- 45:41battling cancer, knowing he's fighting that, you know, you got
- 45:44a dog in him. He will make people fight.
- 45:47And then the same Jim Pine, if there had been a Remington in
- 45:52199394, Jim Powell would have won the Remington.
- 45:55He was the best center in the country.
- 45:56And Eugene Chung, one of the more underrated guys.
- 45:59If you look back through history, first team, all
- 46:01American first round draft pick, played like 7 years, coached in
- 46:05the league for a while, you know, and there's still a few
- 46:10guys. Were probably is it Chung or
- 46:11Chang Chung? Chung Chung as.
- 46:12A typo I was going to. Say we got we got both of them
- 46:16here. I thought somebody went, hey, I
- 46:18thought we had both of them on the team.
- 46:21All right, Tally. I literally just said whatever
- 46:26Sheldon put, whatever Sheldon put put it because I mean,
- 46:29realistically for me it's Dwayne Brown and Kristen Darasaw.
- 46:33Then also, you know, I did want Wyatt Taylor in there, but I
- 46:36also did kind of want some throwback guys, but I didn't
- 46:38really, you know, want to because when you think about
- 46:40offensive line, of course you want some nasty, you know, we
- 46:44just running the ball down your throat type guys.
- 46:46So I just when Shelton put his list up, I went back and looked
- 46:51at some of these guys and I was like, it's pretty good.
- 46:53Shelton. Thank you, man.
- 46:54Thank you for giving me the blast from the past.
- 46:56So just give me what Shelton put.
- 46:58So, yeah, man, if you look at those at those guys and, and,
- 47:03and what they did on the field, it makes the people that you
- 47:10have back in the skill positions job much easier.
- 47:16You know, because when you start to look at some of the players
- 47:18that blocked for just say the quarterbacks that we have on the
- 47:21list, some of those guys was good.
- 47:24But as a line all together, I don't think anybody played with
- 47:28a line like this. So you know what I'm saying?
- 47:31What, what, What would it look like for somebody to be behind
- 47:34that? Yeah, and I'm I'll throw this up
- 47:37and often under spoken render render.
- 47:41You talking about nasty? He was nasty.
- 47:43He wanted he wouldn't fight people.
- 47:47The other ones, coach Robbie, he didn't put them on here because
- 47:50he probably ain't got the list. He missed it.
- 47:52A couple other goes out. This is the all name one right
- 47:55here. Buzz Nutter.
- 47:59Now y'all laugh but Google research here and.
- 48:07I'm scared to Google that. No, no, no, no, no.
- 48:10No, no. Also Robbie in there with the
- 48:12with the Ed Wang reference and we got Kyle Chung in there too.
- 48:16Kyle Chung. The Wang, The Wang Chung
- 48:18connection. But if you want to know about
- 48:21basically who Buzz Nutter was, he played in the same time that
- 48:26Shelton's guy did Don Oakes did late 50s, got drafted by the
- 48:30Colts, played for 11 years in the league between the Colts,
- 48:33the Steelers from 1954 to 1965. S tells you probably how good he
- 48:40was. You know, somebody trying to be
- 48:44funny, Lavar not trying to be funny.
- 48:46I I dangle with Todd. I I thought about putting Todd
- 48:49because Todd was one of those versatile guys who plays
- 48:54centering guard and they go Buzz Nutter multiple World
- 48:58Championships. Oh Jr. trying to be funny.
- 49:02Jr. out here with Parker Clement.
- 49:04He is the the dream team if you want your quarterback injured by
- 49:09offensive line. True.
- 49:12And there's probably some other guys too.
- 49:14And again, we're not hitting everybody, but you start
- 49:16thinking about it and and it's good to see like what this does
- 49:20is you have conversations and like a Donald gets brought up or
- 49:23people forget about Eugene Chung or people forget about a buzz
- 49:26Nutter from, you know, yester pass.
- 49:28And it's like there's been a lot of good players that have went
- 49:31through and there's a pitcher you go to Wikipedia, Brian might
- 49:35make you cry a little bit. It's a picture of another
- 49:38standing up somebody while Johnny use making a pass man so.
- 49:42You go back and look at what I think Robbie put, yeah, what
- 49:44Robbie put at Blake de Christopher as well.
- 49:47Yeah. Like that's a that's a great
- 49:49pick. It is a great pick.
- 49:50I think he's I think it was two time all ACC or maybe all
- 49:57American. No, all it's two time first
- 50:00team. All ACC is what he was so crazy
- 50:05crazy. He was good production and some
- 50:07of the lineman that we have had come through.
- 50:10We need some more next question. No, I got this from Brian and I
- 50:15know it's a lot of what else in this.
- 50:16So this is just a strictly what if X goes to Auburn, has a great
- 50:23year and gets drafted top two rounds right?
- 50:30Yep, that happens if he had the same production as he does there
- 50:36at Virginia Tech, Gets drafted first two rounds.
- 50:40Does he go on this list anywhere?
- 50:46That's tough. That's tough, man.
- 50:48At that point, he's probably pushing Eugene Chung from a
- 50:53product productivity standpoint based on where you got drafted,
- 50:57based on output. That's that's a really good
- 51:04question. I mean, I would definitely
- 51:05consider it. I would, I would have to sit
- 51:08down and really kind of compare the two at that point.
- 51:12If if he was back this year, he had another productive year, got
- 51:14drafted second round or higher, yeah, he'd be definitely be in
- 51:17the conversation. Chris say no.
- 51:22Yeah, Chris is OK. So.
- 51:25No, with a lot of with a lot of peers.
- 51:28I think that's Chris shaking his head and it was the Christopher
- 51:33was three all time ACC, two time first team, all the ACC.
- 51:38So I think it was good. He was good, just won't one like
- 51:42him again. So but yeah, it's true there.
- 51:47There's been nobody better than them.
- 51:49So I got somebody mentioning Trey Turner.
- 51:54And as we put up Trey Turner, let's go to the wide receiver
- 51:58room because we go on five. We we're being realistic here.
- 52:03And Shelton, I'll let you lead the way on this room.
- 52:07All right, so once again, respect to my elders.
- 52:10Some of these guys I did not see play in their primes, but we're
- 52:14starting off Andre Davis. Obviously, you know,
- 52:16self-explanatory. One of the, one of the key
- 52:18players of that 99 team, Antonio Freeman had some crazy
- 52:21production and then some 2, two more recent guys, Isaiah Ford
- 52:25and Danny Cole. You know, to me, those are two
- 52:27guys where, you know, I just, I look at the, just the, the big
- 52:32play ability, the toughness, leadership aspect of it, the
- 52:35work ethic. Like if I'm in the trenches and
- 52:38I need, I need a big play, I really want those guys on my
- 52:41team. And then obviously Ernest
- 52:42Wilford as well, another kind of OGOG throwback.
- 52:46So kind of got a little bit bounced here with some some
- 52:48younger guys and some older guys.
- 52:50I think it's pretty good, pretty good lineup.
- 52:52All right. And I think on this one y'all
- 52:55are going to see a trend of a couple guys always popping up.
- 52:58I'm right there with you. My top guy though that I always
- 53:02think about first is Antonio Freeman.
- 53:04But it would like you said what he did in the 90s was
- 53:07unbelievable. What he did in the NFLI mean the
- 53:10guy was all pro was really good. Then Andre Davis, I mean, like
- 53:18somebody said it earlier, that was Mike's only wide receiver.
- 53:20Like legitimate wide receiver threat that year.
- 53:23Sharon Stiff was a running back, but yeah, Eddie Royal.
- 53:30And so like Shelton missed that era, but that era with Morgan
- 53:39and Eddie and Hyman and Clowny, I mean, that was a tough one to
- 53:45do, but I think Eddie was so versatile.
- 53:47It was like right out the gate to y'all know, he was a
- 53:48freshman. It was just like, boom, man.
- 53:52That's a good one, Jim. I like that Ernest Wilford, 64,
- 53:58big son of a bitch, could go above you, could run by you
- 54:01could do whatever he wanted. And then Isaiah Ford, I think if
- 54:07if we had been really good in 14 and 15, I think Isaiah Ford
- 54:13might be like, I think he'd be on another stratosphere.
- 54:16But he had that one year in 16 where he was just dominant.
- 54:20There we go. We getting some, we getting some
- 54:22run here. Who's next, Brown or?
- 54:23We getting some deep deep cuts here too.
- 54:25I love this. Kelly's boys.
- 54:27Xavier. Whoa, there you go, Andretti.
- 54:32We had a we had a Brian still sighting.
- 54:35I'm seeing that. I'm just sitting there reading,
- 54:37oh, I'm next. So, yeah, so like you said,
- 54:40you're going to see most of the same names.
- 54:42I want it to be a little bit different because I really
- 54:44enjoyed one guy on this list. Of course, we didn't get to see
- 54:48him as much as we would have want to, But Damon Hazleton,
- 54:51just watching him play, watching his production from that wide
- 54:55receiver position made him one of my favorite players to to
- 54:59watch, as well as Isaiah Ford, you know, Antonio Friedman and
- 55:04all of these guys that are here. I kind of was in a in a pickle
- 55:09with Ernest Wilford because I was thinking, can I slide him
- 55:14into the tight end position? You know, can I slide him into
- 55:19the tight end position? I would.
- 55:20I would so. If I would have put him in the
- 55:23tight end position to be able to give me another wide receiver on
- 55:25this list, you know, maybe just move Lt. off put Will for that.
- 55:31But I was like, you know what, I'm going to put them off on
- 55:32that. I'm I'm going to leave it like
- 55:33this. I'm going to follow the rules.
- 55:35So Ernest Wilford, I mean, Curtis probably summed it up the
- 55:39best. Big SOB running past people,
- 55:42running over people. Eddie Rohl could do it all.
- 55:47I mean, great slot. What slot wide receiver guy?
- 55:51I mean, what what what else did you ask for?
- 55:54If you got a if you got a line and you got a quarterback,
- 55:57somebody on that list get no somebody's taking the ball to
- 56:00the house. So great to watch watch these
- 56:03guys I'm. Going to piggyback off Tally
- 56:07here and just I'm going to call out Robbie real quick.
- 56:10Ernest Wilford belongs in the tight end room more than Bucky
- 56:13Hodges, but he's not on my list. He's not on my list, though,
- 56:19because Jim pointed out. Yeah, I make some people cry.
- 56:24It does, it hurts it, it it's painful.
- 56:28So I got Andre Davis, you know, all time per catch numbers, man,
- 56:34it's it's hard to argue with 27 1/2 per reception in the season
- 56:42in 99. And that's what he did.
- 56:45That's ridiculous. The production that Freeman had
- 56:48in the 90s is insane. Eddie Royals numbers here.
- 56:55I don't know why I got Wyatt in front of Isaiah Ford's name
- 56:58here. Blame the typo.
- 57:01I'm that's what I'm blaming it on.
- 57:03Eddie Royal versatile. Do it all man.
- 57:06He's going to be in my slot. Isaiah Ford, 11 touchdown
- 57:12receptions in 20/15/24 career, man, you talk about production,
- 57:20the guy's getting in the end zone, but he's still able to do
- 57:23it in all areas of the field as well.
- 57:25And Jared Boykin, all the time. Yards, man.
- 57:30And I think he is a guy that just from a production
- 57:33standpoint, if you need a first down, he can get it for you.
- 57:38And hands, Yeah. I mean, you ever did see the,
- 57:42the, the, the obsession that the color guys had talking about
- 57:48Jared Boykin's hands in a broadcast every time is
- 57:51unprecedented. Man, every time they talk about
- 57:55the bands. Yeah.
- 57:57What? Are what are you insinuating?
- 57:59You don't want to get slapped by this guy.
- 58:01No, you don't want to get blocked by you know that we
- 58:05somebody put it up here like you got like Cam Phillips is the all
- 58:08time leading receiver. I mean there's so many Brian
- 58:11still. I mean there's still a part of
- 58:14me it goes back 30 years, December 31st this year when
- 58:21Brian still's house that punt and I know that's not wide
- 58:23receiver, but Brian still still there.
- 58:27Who else? Who else are we missing?
- 58:30Anybody we I'll throw 1. Put up Darrell Darrell Robertson
- 58:35now. Darrell.
- 58:36Yeah, Darrell, yeah. I mean, if we're looking at
- 58:38numbers, you know, we talked about Andre Davis's per catch in
- 58:4299, but you got Ricky Scales catching balls from Bruce Arians
- 58:45for 20.1 for his career. I know that's crazy in the 70s.
- 58:50I'll throw you one. And I forgot to mention, what
- 58:52about Harper? Remember Justin Harper?
- 58:55Yeah. Harper that was so good back in
- 58:58the old size. Always Carol Dale.
- 59:01Don't ever forget the name. If you if you're a new Hokey
- 59:04fan, go look him up. Unbelievable player with Tech.
- 59:06Unbelievable player with Packers.
- 59:08Yeah, there's been 2. There's been 2000s.
- 59:10Like, you had four receivers that were legitimate NFL talent.
- 59:13It was hard to get them the number of catches that you would
- 59:17want them to have because you had four guys that were very,
- 59:21very talented in that group. I want, I want to throw this to
- 59:25all three. I'm going to pitch it to Shelton
- 59:26first. Shelton If Jalen Lane had spent
- 59:30all four years at Virginia Tech, would he be on this list for
- 59:33you? I mean, I think so if you, you
- 59:36pencil him in a slot, I mean, I just think based on, you know,
- 59:40just based on like his speed, you know, the, the physical
- 59:42attributes. Like he was already because like
- 59:44I was when we were doing this, this exercise, I was looking up
- 59:48the all time receiver list, all time receiving staff at BT and
- 59:51he was, I think Jalen was top 20 ish despite the in total
- 59:56catches, despite the fact he only played two years here,
- 59:59which is really impressive. So I think if you extrapolate
- 1:00:01that to four years, I mean he he would be one of the most
- 1:00:03productive slot receivers of all time.
- 1:00:06Yeah, had all the, he's got all the physical attributes that
- 1:00:11makes him good. We didn't get to see in return
- 1:00:13kicks as much as he probably could have if the team was what
- 1:00:19it needed to be. So just different things that he
- 1:00:22did Does great question make gives you the opportunity to
- 1:00:27even mention his name with some of these.
- 1:00:29You know, for him only being here 2 years, I think he's going
- 1:00:34to have a good NFL career. I was hoping that I was hoping
- 1:00:37that the Titans would pick him up.
- 1:00:38I was I was I told you I'll please let us get him.
- 1:00:41But of course we didn't. So yeah, Andre, Andre and
- 1:00:46mentioned Marcus, Marcus Davis on here as well.
- 1:00:51Yeah. And it's going to be interesting
- 1:00:52to see how like as we move forward in the transfer portal
- 1:00:57era, like how do we quantify transfer production?
- 1:01:03And I mean, I think we're going to have a little bit of a
- 1:01:05conversation about that in this next, this next window here.
- 1:01:08But it's, it's, it's going to be interesting because you're
- 1:01:12talking about one or two years of production with your team,
- 1:01:18whereas usually most of these guys are on this list had at
- 1:01:22least three years, 3 productive seasons with the squad, right?
- 1:01:25So by default most of these transfer guys are going to have
- 1:01:29at least one year handicap. Since we doing since we doing so
- 1:01:33much, what else right can I just say Curtis, you only get I'm
- 1:01:38going to start a timer about 5 minutes.
- 1:01:43What if 2026 no not 20/26/2016 team come back?
- 1:01:52You, you know y'all know that? We lose.
- 1:01:58We lose the Clemson by what, 7 points?
- 1:02:01About 7, No, No. Yeah.
- 1:02:04Seven. Yeah.
- 1:02:05Because it was always the the fluente always said if we score
- 1:02:08it, we go for two. Because fuck, over time that
- 1:02:13would have been Cam's back, Isaiah's back, Bucky's back.
- 1:02:17The back. The defense because the what
- 1:02:20everybody looks at is the mirrorism of the defense because
- 1:02:23in 2016 that the offense was top 25.
- 1:02:27First of all we've never seen anything like it.
- 1:02:28Like we didn't know what to do. Like we scoring even low point
- 1:02:33game we get in the 20's the next year, if y'all remember that was
- 1:02:36a top 10 defense I believe with Tremaine, with the Edmonds
- 1:02:39brothers, the the what if about 2017 and there's there's there's
- 1:02:45multiple years because you've already talked about 2011.
- 1:02:48That's one of my what ifs. 2017 we went nine and three and the
- 1:02:57losses were to golly pull it back up Clemson.
- 1:03:03Georgia Tech and. Yeah, Georgia Tech bullshit.
- 1:03:09Miami. Miami.
- 1:03:12Yeah. It it it's tough not to say that
- 1:03:16that team wouldn't have been to at least two wins better.
- 1:03:19Right. But but I'll throw, let me, let
- 1:03:22me throw this one at y'all before we get into running
- 1:03:24backs. Michael Bates doesn't fuck up
- 1:03:27his ankle in 2000. Do we win a national
- 1:03:31championship? Because he was he, he was such a
- 1:03:33better passer that second year. Does he win the Heisman?
- 1:03:37Does he win the Heisman? Does he win a national
- 1:03:39championship? That's the, I mean, they're,
- 1:03:43those are the three seasons. I've always said I could
- 1:03:45probably sit here and shelter with the data, people watching
- 1:03:49it, you know, bring people like Dwight on the people that played
- 1:03:52on those teams. Those three teams are the
- 1:03:54biggest what ifs in Virginia Tech history.
- 1:03:56What because? Because it Mike doesn't hurt his
- 1:03:59ankle. Hey, hey, where you at?
- 1:04:02Where you at? He always sitting right here
- 1:04:03when you came. You wouldn't have beat us in
- 1:04:052000 with that man. He already put you down once
- 1:04:08here to put you out to pass your second time.
- 1:04:10I ain't no king. Oh, he knows it's true.
- 1:04:14He knows it's true because we we fought them tooth and nail.
- 1:04:16Without in that game, he might have been a baby, but you know,
- 1:04:19right Tally, you going to make me write another episode?
- 1:04:24We're going to be sitting here for three hours talking about
- 1:04:26What If seasons. And I already knew it because
- 1:04:32Bass, Bass has asked a couple times, Brian, who is going to be
- 1:04:35the damn wide receiver one for this year?
- 1:04:38We don't know, man. We, we, we think it might be
- 1:04:42Aiden Green. But Brian, who is it going to
- 1:04:44be? Who going to be the wide
- 1:04:45receiver one this year? I think.
- 1:04:46It's going to have to be Aiden Green.
- 1:04:48It's going to have to be 1 of the one of the two Greens, I
- 1:04:50would imagine. I just don't know.
- 1:04:56We got one guy that's a known, known commodity, but he was, you
- 1:05:00know, kind of third in the pecking order, really 4th if you
- 1:05:03got to add in tight end production in the pecking order
- 1:05:08from a of a passing perspective. But at the same time, we got a
- 1:05:14whole lot of guys coming in that, you know, two of them have
- 1:05:18been productive at other spots, but haven't always been that
- 1:05:22healthy. You know, you got Seldon coming
- 1:05:24in that, you know, he might be able to be productive in the
- 1:05:29slot, but we don't know exactly what he looks like being a full
- 1:05:32time wide receiver. So that's still to be
- 1:05:35determined. So I mean, my, my gut says it's
- 1:05:40going to be Aiden Green, but honestly, I don't know.
- 1:05:47There's your answer, Bass. Well, that's his answer.
- 1:05:50From from Brian. Well, Donovan Green can stay
- 1:05:53healthy. I mean, with the system we're
- 1:05:55going to be running now, I think Donovan Green could be wide
- 1:05:59receiver one stat wise at the end now.
- 1:06:04Oh, Shelton, you made a frown on that.
- 1:06:05Go on. Oh.
- 1:06:07No, no, that wasn't. That wasn't intentional.
- 1:06:09Or anything. Curtis, you know he.
- 1:06:11That was an. That was an indeterminate.
- 1:06:13Frown. Yeah, like I agree with you.
- 1:06:14I agree with your point though. Like it's yeah, we just don't
- 1:06:17know. He was, he was crunching numbers
- 1:06:19as you was talking. He's probably, he's probably got
- 1:06:22so many stats going on his head right now.
- 1:06:24Yeah, I'm going to tell you he was crunching.
- 1:06:26He was crunching. This guy's been out so many
- 1:06:28games, Curtis. He's not going to play a full
- 1:06:30season. So you losing your ever loving
- 1:06:32mind doing that. All right, all right, we finally
- 1:06:37got here because this would, you know, there's so many ways you
- 1:06:41could go with this one. I mean, you got Robbie's
- 1:06:44throwing this up, including Mike Vick.
- 1:06:49Robbie crazy now not not a crazy take.
- 1:06:52I'm just saying, Robbie, you crazy?
- 1:06:54Hey, Kenny Lewis, shout out here.
- 1:06:56Kenny Lewis I think. I think Rocky's going with MV7
- 1:07:00and the All GW Danville back. The all GW team because he got
- 1:07:05he saw him run by him so much I. Oh, oh, Kenny Lewis.
- 1:07:09I saw Kenny Lewis run by. You saw?
- 1:07:11Kenny too it right? Yeah, this is a great podcast.
- 1:07:15That's why it's been fitting and we we waited for it.
- 1:07:18I get to lead the running back one because I thought of the
- 1:07:20idea and for me, I won't sub 4/4 speed.
- 1:07:27If they touch it and you miss them, they gone.
- 1:07:31Kevin Jones, KJ still the best fact that has ever come through.
- 1:07:36David Wilson, the man still runs by Robbie and asleep on the
- 1:07:39sidelines and the new blood because I got to see him for two
- 1:07:43seasons and you saw him hit holes and when he got to the
- 1:07:47second level, you won't stop at him.
- 1:07:50I love Basil 2 and he's one of those guys that if I walk into a
- 1:07:54place and I see what is it, he was 33, right?
- 1:07:57Yep. I'd be tempted about 33.
- 1:07:59I got 5 in the closet. Shout out Tyrod, but 33 I could.
- 1:08:06I could dial that number. All right, so we got this out of
- 1:08:10the way with with having a transfer in the dream team.
- 1:08:15Yep. You know what, like I'm, I don't
- 1:08:20have a problem with that, especially a running back,
- 1:08:22because running back is a position that most guys only
- 1:08:27have two productive years before they're going to the draft
- 1:08:30anyway, historically. So you know, this isn't eye
- 1:08:36popping because he still had two productive years of Virginia
- 1:08:40Tech. So no problems there.
- 1:08:43I went a little bit different. I think Curtis, you got a little
- 1:08:45bit more balance than I do. I got you got speed, but .3
- 1:08:49speed. But but Tooting is still good
- 1:08:52between the tackles, can break tackles very well.
- 1:08:54So you still have that in the short yardage perspective.
- 1:08:59You know, I got Ryan Williams in short yardage roll here because
- 1:09:04I've got Wilson and KJ on here as well.
- 1:09:06I went with a lot of speed here, but I think Williams is also
- 1:09:10versatile enough where he can get the job done in those short
- 1:09:13yardage and goal line situations here.
- 1:09:15But David Wilson is up there in terms of running back balance
- 1:09:23that I've ever seen. Being able to stay upright when
- 1:09:26contacting defenders, being able to turn a corner.
- 1:09:32KJ is just, you know, you talk about Michael Vick being
- 1:09:36electric, KJ was electric at the running back position and and
- 1:09:39Ryan Williams was really just doing everything, but with
- 1:09:42enough, you know, breakaway to really be a game changer.
- 1:09:47So that's my 3. And you get a little bit of
- 1:09:50versatility there with Wilson because he can run some kicks
- 1:09:53back for you and and make some big plays on special teams.
- 1:09:57Tally. So don't jump on me.
- 1:10:01I knew a lot of names was already going to be taken, but I
- 1:10:04had to put certain names in there.
- 1:10:06Ryan Williams is probably my favorite Virginia Tech running
- 1:10:09back to ever watch. Little Sweetness, probably my
- 1:10:13favorite. Somebody else put Darren Evans
- 1:10:15up here. I was, you know, thinking about
- 1:10:17all of these guys in the backfield together.
- 1:10:19David Wilson, Darren Evans. Darren Evans doesn't get hurt.
- 1:10:23Whatever. Anyway, Ryan Williams, David
- 1:10:27Wilson, exactly what Brian said. Watching him was ridiculous.
- 1:10:32Like his balance getting to the corner, it looked like the man
- 1:10:36was. He looked like Michael Jackson,
- 1:10:38like he was leaning. Remember when Michael Jackson
- 1:10:40did the dance when he was leaning but staying upright?
- 1:10:43Like that's what David Wilson looked like when he was running
- 1:10:45the ball. And then I had to give a shout
- 1:10:47out to Khalil Herbert. I'm a big Khalil Herbert fan.
- 1:10:52I like tuning a little bit better just from what I've seen
- 1:10:55him watch. But I knew Curtis put it, so I
- 1:10:57had to give a shout out to Herbert just because we got
- 1:11:01Herbert in during COVID and I feel like he was cheated.
- 1:11:05I feel like we were cheated. Nobody got the world didn't
- 1:11:10really get to see what that man could do in a Virginia Tech
- 1:11:12jersey. Like he was so exciting to
- 1:11:15watch, man. He was great balance, super,
- 1:11:18super speed, like just a great running back to watch.
- 1:11:22So had to throw him in there with so many backs that you
- 1:11:25could put in. I see people putting up like
- 1:11:28going back, looking at Lee Suggs, Brandon Orr, all of these
- 1:11:31guys, and it's like, damn, man, who do I put in here?
- 1:11:34Like that's probably the deepest position that Virginia take.
- 1:11:37That's the hardest for me out of everything to pick even more
- 1:11:40than quarterback, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:11:42Because realistically when you look at quarterback, you're just
- 1:11:44like, we going to put Michael Vick in there, You know what I'm
- 1:11:46saying? Like most of the time, most
- 1:11:48people's going to do that. But when you look at running
- 1:11:50back and you ask 10 people give me your top three running backs,
- 1:11:54all of the list usually going to be somewhat different just
- 1:11:58because of auto production you've had in that position.
- 1:12:02Yeah, before Sheldon goes here, Tally, I want to give you a
- 1:12:04shout out for Herbert, man, because especially the context
- 1:12:07of it. Because imagine like we saw that
- 1:12:10moment with Tootin at UVA running it back and going in
- 1:12:15there. Imagine like all the times where
- 1:12:18Herbert got to the edge of that one, cut outside zone and just
- 1:12:22shot the gap and then hit the the track finish line.
- 1:12:25Yeah, if he if he could run up into the stands and actually get
- 1:12:28some interaction with fans, that would have went so hard, man.
- 1:12:31Yeah, for real. I'm telling you right now.
- 1:12:35I know with Curtis, I mean, I know Shelton's got to go here
- 1:12:38just a second, but and then I know we got to get ready.
- 1:12:41I'm go ahead and saying right now we got to get Rock down here
- 1:12:44for defense. He's already amped up, man.
- 1:12:49He is amped. Robbie is a Robbie.
- 1:12:54The invitation will be to you and we'll bring you on here.
- 1:12:58Shelton Go. All right, the first thing I
- 1:13:02want to say before I reveal my list is God bless Jim Kavanaugh.
- 1:13:06That man was a dog on the recruiting trail.
- 1:13:09He's responsible for almost all of the legendary running backs
- 1:13:13you'll you'll see in tech history.
- 1:13:16The the best recruit I've ever had by far.
- 1:13:20So praise be to Jim Kavanaugh for all the work he did.
- 1:13:23So my, my, my running back list now Lee Suggs.
- 1:13:26I mean, you know, nothing really needs explanation there.
- 1:13:29He had a 27 touchdown season, I believe in 2000 something.
- 1:13:35But he was Ashley Genti before Ashton Genti was Ashton Genti.
- 1:13:38So Suggs was was a goat. Cole Herbert, now he was more of
- 1:13:42his own running back. So I think what separated him
- 1:13:44was his vision and his ability to to find those holes, get to
- 1:13:47the second level, see the safeties and kind of make those,
- 1:13:50you know, those reads, not the not the biggest, you know,
- 1:13:52breakaway speed, but just had unparalleled vision.
- 1:13:55And then Kevin Jones also had a 22 touchdown season, I think in
- 1:13:592003, also a dog. So those are my, those are my
- 1:14:02big three. I I, I like this.
- 1:14:05Yeah. The way thugs ran, there
- 1:14:08wouldn't be people that slows him down.
- 1:14:10But. But we're missing just so many
- 1:14:12people, though. That's the thing.
- 1:14:14That's the crazy part about this.
- 1:14:16Like, and we all have our three different ones and, you know, we
- 1:14:20spill over and all that. But like, you know, Brandon Orr,
- 1:14:26I mean, always forget about always forget about Humes and.
- 1:14:32The entire backfield of 2010 you could put on this list.
- 1:14:35You could and we completely, we had a great season, but with
- 1:14:41those three guys in the backfield it should have been a
- 1:14:44significantly even more. I think somebody mentioned
- 1:14:48earlier, was it Curtis or Brian that was talking about Cyrus,
- 1:14:52Cyrus Law, Cyrus Lawrence, Cyrus Lawrence. 3746 is is 373767 is
- 1:15:02the number all time leading runner running back attack not
- 1:15:07even mentioned and he could have did more damage.
- 1:15:10If you look back in his stats, he only played five games in
- 1:15:131982, his senior season. Yep, his numbers were nuts.
- 1:15:18And like I said, you know, he's on a, on a squad to Bruce Smith.
- 1:15:25You know, they were, they were, they were definitely the the
- 1:15:28kingpins on either side of the ball there.
- 1:15:31I mean. It's this is like, I mean, I'll
- 1:15:35throw a couple names out that we don't think about that were
- 1:15:38really good running backs like Travion McMillan.
- 1:15:42Yeah. Travion Travion 1000 yard
- 1:15:44season. Ran them off.
- 1:15:47Ran them off. Ran them off.
- 1:15:49Sharon stiff not even mentioned on here.
- 1:15:52Rushed for 1100 yards at 99 as running back.
- 1:15:56One Andre Kendrick had 898 or 900 yard that year.
- 1:16:03So this was like the toughest room.
- 1:16:07But it's also one of those rooms depending on how you looked at
- 1:16:09it. Like I think you look at all of
- 1:16:12our lists, all three of ours, it's like I told you all, I
- 1:16:15wanted speed. I feel like my opinion, I think
- 1:16:19Shelton, you got like the most balanced room because if you get
- 1:16:22down to the three yard line, there are no questions.
- 1:16:24You are going to score a touchdown with a running back.
- 1:16:27No question, just like Sheldon scored but it but it but like I
- 1:16:33think bass bass master put it up a little while ago.
- 1:16:38This was fun. Like this was a lot of fun
- 1:16:41because you start going in there and you start thinking about it.
- 1:16:45And now I'm looking back Tally Jim tally, look at the screen.
- 1:16:49Look what Jim got here. Yeah, I can't even think about.
- 1:16:56Untouchables with Mike Untouchables with Mike with
- 1:16:59Mike. Crazy.
- 1:17:01Yeah. So, yeah, so we appreciate y'all
- 1:17:07definitely chiming in tonight. Again, this was a lot of fun.
- 1:17:10We are going to come back. I don't know when.
- 1:17:12It might be next month. It might be July.
- 1:17:14We'll do defense. Robbie, you've been invited to
- 1:17:17come on with this one. Anything else?
- 1:17:21Apparently, Per per a text from our music man Jason, And per new
- 1:17:27King, I guess the Knicks choked another one away tonight while
- 1:17:30we were sitting here talking. Oh Lord, I.
- 1:17:33Paid attention to nothing. Yeah, they did.
- 1:17:35Of course they did. Yeah, they down 3.
- 1:17:38One, were they down? No.
- 1:17:40Were they down? Let's see.
- 1:17:42I'm. I'm pulling up some here.
- 1:17:44Yep. Yes, so 3. 131 That's too funny.
