0:29
Speaker 3: looking to build on a good thing. Coming off a
0:31
Speaker 3: thrilling Albert Time win and ready for a thrill of
0:34
Speaker 3: an incoming NHL debut. They have turnheads to start the season.
0:39
Speaker 3: They have turned in great starts for several players, and
0:41
Speaker 3: now they're looking to turn this game into another. W
0:44
Speaker 3: for the starts of the lane Lambert Era. A pleasant
0:47
Speaker 3: and happy Monday, jun You wherever you may be, and

0:58
Speaker 3: from x Finnan Tembilere. The first matchup of the regular
1:01
Speaker 3: season coming up between the Seattle Kraken and the Philadelphia Flyers.
1:06
Speaker 3: Mike Betton Alkiniski with you, Hia top rinks side Everett
1:09
Speaker 3: Fitzu's got TV this evening. Glad you can be with
1:12
Speaker 3: us here on a monumental night potentially in Seattle sports history.
1:17
Speaker 3: More on that in a bit, but now the big
1:19
Speaker 3: picture of this one the Kraken getting a strong start
1:21
Speaker 3: and trying to keep it going. At three to zero
1:23
Speaker 3: to two, it's their best start through five games in
1:26
Speaker 3: Team Histery coming off a four to three oot win
1:28
Speaker 3: over Toronto, and they perhaps ruffled some feathers of the
1:32
Speaker 3: Mainple League based on physical play. But we're a scene
1:35
Speaker 3: maybe of what this team is all about right now.
1:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, what we're seeing from this team is this team
1:39
Speaker 4: can play in one goal games. A ninety five percent
1:42
Speaker 4: of their games now have been one goal games. And
1:44
Speaker 4: the other night in Toronto, Seattle getting it going first
1:47
Speaker 4: with the Shane Raight goal was really important to get
1:49
Speaker 4: that first goal of the game. He gets that, but
1:51
Speaker 4: Toronto bought battle back every single time, tying the game
1:55
Speaker 4: up and it took all the way to overtime for
1:56
Speaker 4: Seattle to pull it out.
1:57
Speaker 3: Last dive in Moore for the Krack in here. They've
1:59
Speaker 3: had some he's banged up, recently injured or unavailable Compo Conco,
2:03
Speaker 3: Riiker Evans, Freddie Gudreau, Jared McCann recently added to that
2:08
Speaker 3: list day to day, will not play the night. Brandon
2:10
Speaker 3: on tour right now out on personally for a family matter.
2:13
Speaker 3: Billy o'dovinen called up on Sunday, So the next man
2:16
Speaker 3: up mentality is right now getting it done. Vin Stun's
2:19
Speaker 3: got five points in five games. He had guys work
2:21
Speaker 3: with point per game, like Chandler Stevenson, Shane Wright, Jayden
2:24
Speaker 3: Schwartz and more. But now all eyes focus on that
2:27
Speaker 3: next man up. Burtlee Capton set to make his NHL debut.
2:31
Speaker 4: Yeah, And I love what they've done too, is they've
2:33
Speaker 4: slotted them into that left wing spot on the Matty
2:35
Speaker 4: Veniers and Jordan Eberdy line. That's who we played with
2:37
Speaker 4: in preseason. He looked good with that line. He looked comfortable.
2:40
Speaker 4: When you're coming in to your first NHL game, you
2:43
Speaker 4: want to try and maximize that comfort as much as possible.
2:46
Speaker 4: He'll get that opportunity tonight. But as far as adversity goes,
2:49
Speaker 4: a six game road trip seems like enough adversity to
2:52
Speaker 4: kick the season off. But you're right, these guys that
2:54
Speaker 4: are unavailable, that's added to the adversity of this trip.
2:57
Speaker 4: I think it brings the team together, especially when you're
2:59
Speaker 4: winning Berkeley.
3:00
Speaker 3: Catton a megastar at a WHL spoke and looking to
3:03
Speaker 3: make that NEPs leap. Beginning here this sevening with with
3:06
Speaker 3: the Kraken and Oprah certainly is the beginning of the
3:08
Speaker 3: Berkeley Caton era. Diving into Philadelphia touching on them. They're
3:12
Speaker 3: two to two and one to begin the season under
3:14
Speaker 3: new head coach Rick Tockett, back in a place he
3:17
Speaker 3: once called home as a player. They are a team
3:19
Speaker 3: right now rebuilding replacing last year's run with Tackett from
3:22
Speaker 3: John Tortorella and Brad Shaw, but he pleasure to bring
3:25
Speaker 3: in high pace to their game. Ford checking in a
3:28
Speaker 3: pretty straightforward system. He's a long time fan favorite now
3:31
Speaker 3: making his home here. In their last win last game
3:34
Speaker 3: two one in overtime over Minnesota, Noah Kad's game winning
3:37
Speaker 3: goal his line arguably the best year for the Flyers
3:39
Speaker 3: to start this season.
3:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, overtime win for them was important. Obviously, They're looking
3:43
Speaker 4: to put two in a row here. Tonight. But you
3:45
Speaker 4: know they they've come into this game a little bit
3:48
Speaker 4: I wouldn't say angry, but they're certainly aware of the
3:51
Speaker 4: last two teams times that the Kracking came to town
3:54
Speaker 4: and what they how they played last year, Cracking coming
3:57
Speaker 4: back in that second period.
3:58
Speaker 5: With multiple goals.
3:59
Speaker 4: They're going to play a very tight defensive game here tonight.
4:02
Speaker 4: They don't give up a lot of shots. They also
4:04
Speaker 4: don't get a lot of shots. So a bit of
4:06
Speaker 4: a low event game I would expect for them.
4:08
Speaker 3: So an unbeaten team in regulation for the Kraken set
4:10
Speaker 3: to debut Berkeley Canton all alongside the Seattle Mariners set
4:14
Speaker 3: to play in Game seven of the American League Championship
4:17
Speaker 3: Series as Seahawks. Also, I'm playing Monday night. No shortage
4:21
Speaker 3: of headlines here in the Pacific Northwest. On the hockey side,

8:27
Speaker 11: let's head back to Saturday night where Seattle was looking
8:30
Speaker 11: to win a game in Toronto. Yes, the hockey team
8:33
Speaker 11: and the Kraken went to overtime against the Mapleliefs when
8:36
Speaker 11: an unlikely hero emerged.
8:39
Speaker 8: Mahurah right to left farside.
8:41
Speaker 3: Everly now Marhura gets.
8:43
Speaker 12: By stoos Josh Mahurah his first.
8:49
Speaker 13: Goal as a Seattle krackn when's.
8:52
Speaker 5: It and overtime four three in Toronto.
8:57
Speaker 4: Well, and I'll start it back at the end the
8:59
Speaker 4: crack for mahur as he got that puck behind the
9:02
Speaker 4: net came out with a great feed, deamping up the
9:04
Speaker 4: side of the boards. He got it back to him
9:06
Speaker 4: and got a breakaway out of it, goes bound that
9:09
Speaker 4: right side. Beat Stolars Cracking four to three overtime win.
9:14
Speaker 4: Bring on the funal cakes.
9:17
Speaker 11: Yeah, sal Koniski, bring on those funnel cakes. Marhura magic
9:21
Speaker 11: it was and the Kracking defenseman shows a perfect time
9:24
Speaker 11: for his first goal as a member of the Seattle
9:26
Speaker 11: Crack and with a win in overtime, they continue their
9:29
Speaker 11: excellent start to the season. Still have yet to be
9:32
Speaker 11: beaten in regulations. Shane Wright has been a huge part
9:35
Speaker 11: of that, heating up lately four points in his last
9:38
Speaker 11: three games. After not registering a shot on goal in
9:41
Speaker 11: the first three games of the season, he has eleven
9:43
Speaker 11: in his last two games alone. Chandler Stevenson also has
9:47
Speaker 11: been excellent in his last two games, with two goals
9:49
Speaker 11: and two assists in that span, playing heavy minutes on
9:52
Speaker 11: the Seattle forward line. Looking like it will be Joey
9:55
Speaker 11: Decord for a second straight game tonight, looking to continue
9:58
Speaker 11: his solid start to the season against the Flyers today.
10:02
Speaker 11: And let's look ahead at today's matchup, the first of
10:04
Speaker 11: two versus Philadelphia this season for the Seattle Crack and
10:07
Speaker 11: they went two and o versus Philly last season four
10:09
Speaker 11: three and one against the Flyers all time. Let's take
10:12
Speaker 11: a look at our cracking storylines today. Can Seattle continue
10:16
Speaker 11: their best start in franchise history tonight and remain unbeaten
10:19
Speaker 11: in regulation for a sixth time sixth game to start
10:23
Speaker 11: the season. Eight points in the first five games is
10:25
Speaker 11: a franchise best to start the season. You could not
10:28
Speaker 11: have drawn up a better start to the Lane Lambert
10:30
Speaker 11: era in terms of results. What you could draw up
10:32
Speaker 11: better is the injury list. We will go over the
10:34
Speaker 11: names in just a second, but the newest update is
10:36
Speaker 11: that Jared McCann is nursing a lower body injury and
10:39
Speaker 11: will not play tonight. The silver lining of that, though,
10:42
Speaker 11: twenty twenty four first round pick Berkeley Catton will draw
10:45
Speaker 11: into the lineup tonight for his NHL regular season debut.
10:49
Speaker 11: And with that, let's hear more from the debutante Berkeley
10:52
Speaker 11: Catton as he talks about his feelings ahead of his
10:55
Speaker 11: first regular season NHL game tonight.
10:57
Speaker 14: Lots of excitement, lots of emotions, for sure, but you know,
11:00
Speaker 14: at the end of da it's just hockey game. You
11:01
Speaker 14: gotta go out there and you know, do my thing
11:03
Speaker 14: and you know, just play my game.
11:05
Speaker 11: Looking like he will be skating on the top line
11:07
Speaker 11: with Mattiveneer's and Jordan Everley, he talked about what it's
11:11
Speaker 11: like playing with those guys.
11:12
Speaker 14: Playing with those guys is pretty awesome, and like you said,
11:15
Speaker 14: we've played in uh uh, you know, the preseason together
11:18
Speaker 14: a little bit. It's a little bit of chemistry there,
11:19
Speaker 14: and you know, just gotta just gotta go play and
11:22
Speaker 14: playing with two great players, two veteran guys, so they'll
11:25
Speaker 14: they'll be talking to me a lots and making it
11:26
Speaker 14: easier on me for sure.
11:27
Speaker 11: With Jordan every specifically, he talked about what it will
11:30
Speaker 11: be like skating in the NHL on his debut with
11:33
Speaker 11: someone he grew up idolizing as a kid.
11:36
Speaker 14: He would have told me that a couple of years ago.
11:37
Speaker 14: I would have probably told you, you're crazy. But you know,
11:40
Speaker 14: really cool getting play play alongside one of your one
11:42
Speaker 14: of your role models and idols. So I'm just gonna
11:44
Speaker 14: soak it all in a night.
11:45
Speaker 11: I think it should be fun to watch on his debut. Now,
11:48
Speaker 11: let's take a look at that injury report. And it
11:51
Speaker 11: is a doozy. As mentioned before, Jared mccannon is out
11:54
Speaker 11: tonight with a lower body injury and is considered day today.
11:57
Speaker 11: Capol Coco, Riker Everens, and Frederick Gadroler all on IR.
12:01
Speaker 11: Brandon Montour is placed on the non roster list and
12:04
Speaker 11: is on a temporary leave of absence due to attend
12:06
Speaker 11: a family member. But there is one positive tonight. After
12:09
Speaker 11: taking a puck to the head last game, defenseman Ryan
12:12
Speaker 11: Lindgren will draw into the lineup tonight. So one good
12:15
Speaker 11: injury update for the Seattle Crack and much more to
12:17
Speaker 11: come on the pregame show served up by Corp's Light
12:19
Speaker 11: and coming up next, we'll take a look at the flyers.

14:28
Speaker 11: Welcome back to the pregame show served up by cors

Speaker 11: Light Choose Chill. I'm Anderson Hurst, but don't worry Mike
14:33
Speaker 11: Benton fans, you will hear him coming up soon as
14:36
Speaker 11: he and al Kiniski will have your play by play action.
14:38
Speaker 11: Time now for a look at the Philadelphia Flyers. As
14:41
Speaker 11: Philly indoors a rather slow start to their season under
14:44
Speaker 11: new head coach Rick Talkeett. They needed a big win
14:47
Speaker 11: in ot on Saturday against Minnesota and we're able to
14:50
Speaker 11: get it done.
14:51
Speaker 10: Trisdale hit twelble getting away from Rossie but fin the
14:54
Speaker 10: way dead now poster up the middle HiT's the Minnesota
14:56
Speaker 10: line gave it the Kates.
14:58
Speaker 11: Kates walked in choots each clo.
15:01
Speaker 18: The overtime winner for Noah Cakes his second goal of
15:05
Speaker 18: the year, and the players being the Wild and All team.
15:09
Speaker 5: Two to one.
15:11
Speaker 11: That's the voice of Tim Saunders on the call as
15:13
Speaker 11: Philadelphia would win in overtime against the Minnesota Wild tude
15:15
Speaker 11: one thanks to Noah Kates for their second victory of
15:18
Speaker 11: this season. Goals have been hard to come by for
15:21
Speaker 11: the Flyers in the early portion of the season. They
15:23
Speaker 11: sat at twenty six in the league with two point
15:25
Speaker 11: six goals per game. The biggest question is how they're
15:28
Speaker 11: going to get talented youngster Matt Vei Mitchkoff to develop
15:31
Speaker 11: into the aircraft gear they need him to be. But
15:33
Speaker 11: it's also been a question of goaltending for Philly as
15:35
Speaker 11: they're looking for either Dan Vadar or Samuel Aerson to
15:38
Speaker 11: step up and take the starting job. With that, let's
15:41
Speaker 11: hear more from Philadelphia head coach Rick Tockett as he
15:44
Speaker 11: talks about what his team needs to do to start
15:46
Speaker 11: creating more offense.
15:48
Speaker 19: You know, there's a lot of stuff that we can correct.
15:50
Speaker 19: We're getting the one thing. We're getting a lot of
15:52
Speaker 19: good motion. I like our de emotion. We're getting some
15:56
Speaker 19: good lucks. Now the execution part, I think we're not
15:57
Speaker 19: actually in Plus, I'm not sure we're getting the interior enough.
16:01
Speaker 19: I mean, it's to me as clear as day on
16:03
Speaker 19: the video. A lot of guys are coming up high.
16:06
Speaker 19: We're having four high a lot. We need some guys
16:09
Speaker 19: that dedicate getting inside. And I think if you're a
16:12
Speaker 19: guy that's struggling, you know, look at yourself, get inside
16:15
Speaker 19: a little bit more, and you know, we got to
16:16
Speaker 19: the'se gott to start shooting the puck a little bit more.
16:18
Speaker 19: I think we're there. They held on the pucke a
16:20
Speaker 19: little looking for other options other than sometimes you got
16:23
Speaker 19: to pound the puck. So we got to get some
16:24
Speaker 19: more shots on that. But I do like that. There's
16:26
Speaker 19: some parts of the thing I do like the motion
16:28
Speaker 19: and stuff like that.
16:29
Speaker 11: Hopefully Seattle can lock it down defensively with all the
16:32
Speaker 11: injuries that have piled up and keep Philly from breaking
16:35
Speaker 11: out Tonight at Exfinity Mobile Arena, Cracking nemesis Dan Vladar
16:39
Speaker 11: will be in goal tonight, coming off his fifteen safe
16:42
Speaker 11: effort in the win against Minnesota on Saturday night. He
16:45
Speaker 11: has a nine to three to eight save percentage in
16:47
Speaker 11: three games in the young season, so he has played well.
16:50
Speaker 11: Hopefully Seattle can crack the code on Dan Vladar tonight.
16:54
Speaker 11: Coming up next, we head back to Philadelphia as Mike
16:56
Speaker 11: and now have your keys to the game. You're listening
16:59
Speaker 11: to the Global Readit Union crack An Audio Network.

19:22
Speaker 3: this being game four of the six game road trip
19:24
Speaker 3: to Kraken, odds a great start so far in the
19:26
Speaker 3: Lay Lambert era and if you were to ask anybody
19:28
Speaker 3: would you take three to zero to two after five games?
19:32
Speaker 3: The answer would be a resounding yes. So can they
19:34
Speaker 3: keep that good thing going? Tonight Berkeley Canton NHL debut,
19:38
Speaker 3: gonna get top line duty with Mattie Benier's and Jordan
19:41
Speaker 3: Everley is a crack and aiming for their six win
19:44
Speaker 3: in nine tries livetime against Philadelphia. ALCANISKI to talk more
19:48
Speaker 3: about that with our three keys at what you got Well.
19:50
Speaker 4: First of all, I think that the Kracking have to
19:52
Speaker 4: capitalize in the power play tonight. Seattle has one of
19:54
Speaker 4: the stronger power plays at the start of the season
19:56
Speaker 4: right now in about twenty eight point six percent, while
19:59
Speaker 4: Philadelphi is struggling battling in that department at six point
20:02
Speaker 4: seven percent. If the Kracking can draw penalties and execute
20:05
Speaker 4: with quality chances, it gives them a clear edge. Secondly,
20:09
Speaker 4: limit the Flyers transition and jump starts. Philadelphia has shown flashes,
20:14
Speaker 4: but their offense is inconsistent, scoring about two point six
20:17
Speaker 4: goals per game. And then see above, their power play
20:19
Speaker 4: is a glaring weakness. Seattle must control the pace, win
20:23
Speaker 4: key battles in the neutral zone and avoid giving the
20:25
Speaker 4: Flyers odd man rushes or second chance opportunities. And then, third,
20:29
Speaker 4: strong goaltending and defensive rebound presence. Seattle's goals against has
20:33
Speaker 4: been among the better marks about two point six goals
20:36
Speaker 4: against per game, and their goaltending has been solid so far.
20:39
Speaker 4: Philadelphia will try to grind and compete hard here at home,
20:43
Speaker 4: So the kracker will need their expected netminor joy decord
20:46
Speaker 4: to hold firm and tight moments and their d man
20:48
Speaker 4: to clear rebounds and make timely blocks. I see this
20:52
Speaker 4: game being fairly tight, possibly going into the later stages.
20:54
Speaker 4: But if Seattle can capitalize on their power play, limit
20:58
Speaker 4: the Flyers transitions and jump starts, and get some strong
21:01
Speaker 4: defense and defensive rebound management, it sets them up for
21:04
Speaker 4: an excellent shot to win on the road here tonight
21:06
Speaker 4: in Philadelphia.
21:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, a great chance here to try to win potentially
21:09
Speaker 3: a low event and game and what could be a
21:10
Speaker 3: tough place to play on the road heading on Easter
21:13
Speaker 3: here to Philadelphia. But a part of this al I
21:15
Speaker 3: also believe we've talked a lot about how can the
21:17
Speaker 3: krack and manage back to backs that can drive the
21:20
Speaker 3: narrative here for this season. Now we're going to get
21:22
Speaker 3: that first big test coming their way, their first of
21:25
Speaker 3: back to backs here tonight at Washington tomorrow. And as
21:29
Speaker 3: far as how the Kracken want to play last season
21:31
Speaker 3: zero to twelve in the second game of back to backs,
21:34
Speaker 3: it wasn't pretty.
21:35
Speaker 5: Is now in the rear view mirror.
21:36
Speaker 3: So for this team now in this day and age,
21:38
Speaker 3: it's a good test for their own structured defensively.
21:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, and I agree, And I think that the thing
21:42
Speaker 4: about back to backs is it takes the entire team.
21:45
Speaker 4: It takes the entire team to focus on that structure,
21:48
Speaker 4: to trust that structure to get you through the sixteen minutes,
21:51
Speaker 4: not just here tonight, but tomorrow as well. And I
21:53
Speaker 4: think the other thing is that with some of the
21:55
Speaker 4: adversity the team's had right now, it creates opportunity, opportunity
21:59
Speaker 4: for Berkeley Catton coming into the lineup, opportunity for a
22:03
Speaker 4: guy like John and Newman to play some power play tonight.
22:05
Speaker 4: So I think those opportunities, if seized, can result in
22:08
Speaker 4: a win.
22:08
Speaker 3: Berkeley Catton is going to be a major storyline here
22:11
Speaker 3: for this evening once again in case you're just joining us,
22:13
Speaker 3: He will make his NHL debut along awaited one of
22:16
Speaker 3: Swords here for tonight. His parents are also in the
22:19
Speaker 3: house from Saskatchewan. And did they ever have a journey
22:22
Speaker 3: involving planes, trains and automobiles Saskatchewan to Calgary to Atlanta
22:29
Speaker 3: now up to here. They made it by the afternoon.
22:31
Speaker 3: I have no idea, how but extra energy for Berkeley
22:34
Speaker 3: Catton having family in the house here for tonight.
22:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, Chris and Desire Katten are here in the house.
22:39
Speaker 4: We saw about the hotel before we left, and big
22:41
Speaker 4: smiles on their faces. I can only imagine how they
22:44
Speaker 4: feel as parents being here in the building, seeing their
22:47
Speaker 4: son do the rookie lap at the start of the
22:49
Speaker 4: warm up and then seeing them play here tonight.
22:51
Speaker 3: It'll be Joey to cord once again and making his
22:54
Speaker 3: fit start in six games two begin the year. Can
22:57
Speaker 3: the crack and keep the interior clean for him like
23:00
Speaker 3: in the Toronto game, and they're gonna face Dan Ladar,
23:02
Speaker 3: as Anders pointed out, he has been a menace and
23:04
Speaker 3: a handful for this team in franchise's history, a goalie
23:08
Speaker 3: with size and for the Kraken. Can they find a
23:10
Speaker 3: way to keep the physicality in front of him where
23:12
Speaker 3: they can make wife ruff for a guy who's got
23:14
Speaker 3: a six to one on one record all the time
23:16
Speaker 3: against the Kracking.
23:16
Speaker 4: Well, it was a big part of the win. The
23:18
Speaker 4: other night in Toronto. You saw Jaden Schwartz go harder
23:20
Speaker 4: the net and not knockover stolars. You saw Mason Marchman
23:22
Speaker 4: go hard to the net. They're gonna have to do
23:24
Speaker 4: that against Fladar, who, as you said, you know, has
23:26
Speaker 4: had the Krakens number in the past six one and
23:29
Speaker 4: one against the Krack, and someone else who has had
23:32
Speaker 4: the Krakens number more so with the Ducks previously. But
23:35
Speaker 4: Trevor ziegras six goals against the Crack and hasn't scored
23:38
Speaker 4: more than that against anybody else. So there are some
23:40
Speaker 4: guys on the other side of the ice here that
23:41
Speaker 4: are coming into this game with some confidence that's gonna
23:44
Speaker 4: be up to the Crack and to knock that down.
23:45
Speaker 3: You know, there's one guy we know in broadcast terms
23:48
Speaker 3: always goes hard to the net. You know who that is,
23:50
Speaker 3: Ander's Hers. He's waiting for you. Back on the other side.

26:27
Speaker 11: hear more from Cracking head coach Lane Lambert standing by
26:30
Speaker 11: here with Mike Benn.
26:31
Speaker 3: Back here with crackenhead coach Lane Lambert. The Cracking getting
26:34
Speaker 3: set with the Philadelphia Flyers in their first of two
26:36
Speaker 3: matchups here for the season. And so far through five games,
26:38
Speaker 3: what have you seen from this team as far as
26:40
Speaker 3: their commitment and the application here to the principles that
26:43
Speaker 3: you want to see physically and also Bentley as well.
26:46
Speaker 13: Yeah, I think they've done a great job up until
26:48
Speaker 13: this point for sure. You know, there's certain categories defensively
26:52
Speaker 13: in the league that you know, we're either at the
26:56
Speaker 13: top of or near the top of the commitment levels
27:00
Speaker 13: been outstanding, you know, commitment to play a certain way,
27:03
Speaker 13: commitment to you know, sacrifice block shots, whatever it might be.
27:08
Speaker 13: So they've done a really good job so far. And again,
27:11
Speaker 13: like you said, it's five games in, we've got a
27:13
Speaker 13: long way to go. But certainly give the guys credit.
27:16
Speaker 3: Toronto has no slats and even with no much marter,
27:18
Speaker 3: they still have plenty of weapons and Austin Matthews, William
27:21
Speaker 3: Niland or John Tavares so to be able to handle
27:24
Speaker 3: that kind of a challenge. What did it say about
27:25
Speaker 3: how those guys were able to fare physically for a
27:28
Speaker 3: game like that.
27:29
Speaker 13: Yeah, well, you know, I mean, clearly, we feel like
27:32
Speaker 13: as a group, we feel confident in our structure. You know,
27:38
Speaker 13: I've said it's not always going to be perfect, but
27:42
Speaker 13: certainly you know when it isn't, We've had some big
27:46
Speaker 13: efforts and big individual efforts to you know, eat some
27:50
Speaker 13: bucks and do whatever, and you know, and and our
27:53
Speaker 13: goaltending has been pretty good. So you know, it's it's
27:57
Speaker 13: it's a game where you you go into the game.
27:59
Speaker 13: As long as you play the way you want to play,
28:01
Speaker 13: you give yourself a chance to win.
28:02
Speaker 11: Where do you give.
28:03
Speaker 3: These guys the most credit for being able to handle
28:05
Speaker 3: the stretch that they're going through with next man up
28:08
Speaker 3: mentality bodies and bodies app is still finding a way
28:11
Speaker 3: to be effective shift after shift.
28:13
Speaker 13: Well that's the way we have to be. You know,
28:15
Speaker 13: we've had a rash of injuries and training camp for
28:18
Speaker 13: starters and now we're under the same same gamut here
28:22
Speaker 13: as we start the regular season with you know, five
28:26
Speaker 13: regulars out right now. But you know, it is what
28:29
Speaker 13: it is. It's a it's a next man up mentality,
28:32
Speaker 13: and everybody within the organization. You know, starting day one
28:36
Speaker 13: of training camp has been on the same page and
28:38
Speaker 13: is understanding what it is we need to do. So
28:42
Speaker 13: you know, there's no surprises in terms of how we
28:44
Speaker 13: want to play. And uh, you know, guys have come
28:47
Speaker 13: in and done a good job of of, you know,
28:50
Speaker 13: maintaining that so far.
28:52
Speaker 3: That next man app will be Berkeley Catton making his
28:55
Speaker 3: NHL debut here for this evening. And you mentioned before
28:59
Speaker 3: a big key for play is to play loose, enjoy
29:01
Speaker 3: the moment. But how do you balance the info They
29:04
Speaker 3: are trying to feed a guy but not making sure
29:06
Speaker 3: that he's on overload to get ready here for a
29:07
Speaker 3: game like this.
29:08
Speaker 13: Ah, you know what I mean. At the end of
29:11
Speaker 13: the day, it's up to him to balance that. You know,
29:14
Speaker 13: we have expectations, we have a standard that we play with.
29:17
Speaker 13: Everybody's you know, has to play by that standard. The
29:21
Speaker 13: more you understand that standard and those expectations, the better
29:24
Speaker 13: off you're going to be. So he's doing a good
29:27
Speaker 13: job of you know, working, working, in practice, getting himself prepared.
29:31
Speaker 13: I think it's been fantastic that he has in practice
29:34
Speaker 13: been a penalty killer because it gives him a little
29:36
Speaker 13: bitter at understanding of the defensive side of the game
29:39
Speaker 13: as well. We know he can create, We want him
29:41
Speaker 13: to create, and I'm looking forward to seeing.
29:43
Speaker 3: Him play based in the Philadelphia Flyers. Finally here a
29:46
Speaker 3: team that can certainly skate. How much more is this
29:48
Speaker 3: a legs game versus say, a brain's going to be
29:50
Speaker 3: able to handle what they bring.
29:52
Speaker 13: It's both, It's definitely both. Yeah, no, but it'll be
29:56
Speaker 13: a fast game. We feel like we're a fast team,
29:58
Speaker 13: so you know we're looking for to it all right, Lane,
30:01
Speaker 13: thank you very much, Thank you.
30:02
Speaker 11: That's Lane Lambert. There's more to that conversation, and you
