- 0:27Hello, and welcome to nfyt W Philly Style. For one hundred and sixty
- 0:35eight episodes, I've been telling our contestants that they're wrong and why, and
- 0:40now it's their turn to do the same to me. I have your stacks
- 0:44and stacks of statements from several different categories, each of which has something wrong
- 0:50in the statement. Our contestants have to figure out what is wrong and how
- 0:54to correct it in order to earn valuable NERD cred because the player at the
- 0:58end of the game who has the most nerdad will win the game and win
- 1:02a prize. But we are on location in Philadelphia, the illest of the
- 1:08Delphias uh, and we're here with some very special friends. So I'm just
- 1:15going to get right into contestant introductions. First up, from the Ultrope Girls,
- 1:21the Ultimate Literary Girl. It's Caroline. Who. Hi, Hello,
- 1:26Caroline, thrilled to have you. Um Ordinarily on our show. When we
- 1:29do interruptions, we ask a question, but I know a few. This
- 1:33is why we do statements instead. I think Kocici is one of the best
- 1:38liars in literary history. I would agree with that. Really, yeah,
- 1:42very cool. Any particular reason why are you just like on board. Um,
- 1:47he is such a good liar. He knows when other people are lying,
- 1:51and he convinces himself offense. And I've tried playing through multiple times.
- 1:57I cannot tell when he's telling the when he's lying that period almost all the
- 2:01time, unless it's approvable. It's like I'm the cul friend. Yeah okay,
- 2:10yeah, buddy, yeah all right, very good. Uh And player
- 2:15number two is an old hand of the BFY t W crew. It's Stevie,
- 2:19Holy crab. Isn't me already? Yes? It is, yeah,
- 2:22player number two, dude, it's the order. The order was randomly determined
- 2:25before the show. But yeah, there you go, oh number two,
- 2:30number two. Yeah, um, I was number two, Stevie. Your
- 2:36statement, um yeah yeah, um, good luck. We doesn't do a
- 2:44lot for me creative creatively. I called blasphemy on you because I hear your
- 2:50Patreon content punk. I think it does a great job creatively for you.
- 2:53I don't know. I feel like I'm just babbling on when I do Aaron
- 2:57on Edibles so much fun. It's it's enlightening, it really is. It's
- 3:02it's a great episode. It's it's literally me babbling for like thirty minutes.
- 3:07I don't even know what I'm going to talk about when I start recording those,
- 3:10and I don't feel like I'm putting out great content. I gotta be
- 3:14honest, Hey, sometimes it's quantity over quality. I mean, I know,
- 3:17I know you like it, but I feel like you might be the
- 3:20only one who does at least two. All right, um, let's move
- 3:24on to player number three, which is another member of the Ultra Hope Girls.
- 3:29Uh. It's Maddie. Hi, Maddie, Hello, so excited to
- 3:35meet both of all of you in person. Um let me think, what
- 3:39what what for? Maddie. Um? So, the threat management theory that
- 3:46you describe to me terror management, terror management? I see, there you
- 3:53go. You're already on the block. So that's how this game works,
- 3:57say Aaron, you idiot, This is correct terror management theory. The way
- 4:02you described it to me, I find really fascinating, and I just want
- 4:05to check that I have like the base ground principle of it, which is
- 4:10that the threat of death influences your politics and it increases as you age.
- 4:19UM. I have to admit, I can't remember I didn't go like super
- 4:25extensively into the effects of age. So I can't actually remember the answer to
- 4:29that question, but am I anywhere close? But yes, the studies that
- 4:34have been done with that theory, using that theory as a framework, I've
- 4:38shown that the more intense your death anxiety, the more there's a correlation essentially
- 4:43between intense death anxiety and political polarization. So if you're more anxious about death,
- 4:48even subconsciously, you're more likely to be political like extremes and either it
- 4:54works for either side. It does work for y. That's fascinating. That
- 4:57checks out for me. Yeah, the more afraid you are, the harder
- 5:02you're gonna lean to not die. Yeah, and feel like you need to
- 5:08do something before you die. Yes, right, Yeah, it's gonna say
- 5:12though that I think as I've gotten older, I fear death less. So
- 5:15I don't know how that age thing works. But when I was a child,
- 5:19I used to be up at night thinking about how in the future I
- 5:23was going to be dead. And now I'm okay with it. Oh my
- 5:27gosh, I've experienced enough. Whenever which player number four is a podcaster and
- 5:33a comedian, it's Sarah. I feel like I don't even need to make
- 5:41a statement because I feel like you just made a pretty good one. We'll
- 5:44try it anyway, sure, um, all right, Um, I I
- 5:48am. I'm gonna. I'm gonna push for a character in something that is
- 5:54is like the one we described at lunch, like a deadpan a deadpan Why
- 6:00can't I not say his name? Thank you, Gundam, A dead pan
- 6:04Gundam just delivering these immense, bombastic platitudes. And I think you'd play it
- 6:10perfectly. Well, it's an honor to be considered as Gundam. Excellent,
- 6:17excellent. Look, I have my dark Deva too. He's right here.
- 6:21She just he just sighed. Oh he doesn't have a mic unfortunately. Well,
- 6:28Ziggy's here with us in spirit, okay, and she's literally right here.
- 6:32Yeah, literally. So I have four stacks of statements of all different
- 6:40categories, and we have some These are common statements. There's usually only one
- 6:45thing wrong with them. When you believe you know what it is, You're
- 6:47gonna buzz in using your controller and tell me no F you uh and the
- 6:53F can be any F word, doesn't matter if you can use the real
- 6:56F one if you want uh and uh, and then tell me what's wrong
- 7:00with the statement and try to correct it. If you managed to do both.
- 7:03You just win it outright, If you just give me what's wrong,
- 7:06you'll keep it unless somebody else can. So every statement has something wrong with
- 7:14that, Yes, okay, every statement has something wrong with it. So
- 7:16it's not like a true or false. It's like it's we know it's false.
- 7:18No, there is something wrong with each of these statements. You just
- 7:21have to figure out what and between these common statements. We also have uncommon
- 7:26mini games which are going to be for fun. And then the final question
- 7:29is the rare question, which is worth as many points as you're willing to
- 7:32wager. So we'll see about that when we get there. Let's get started,
- 7:35Caroline, as you were randomly chosen to be player number one, I'm
- 7:40gonna ask you what category would you like to start with. We have music,
- 7:44Internet, TV and food food food it is for one nerd cred.
- 7:50Wait, sorry, what are in terms of like rules of like one?
- 7:54We can buzz in anytime anytime? You can stop me like that like that?
- 8:01Okay, all right, for your sake, I'm not going to count
- 8:05that as buzzy on Caroline, Yes, but don't do it again otherwise I
- 8:11will call on you. Ready, here's your first food statement. It will
- 8:16probably not be a surprise to learn that white chocolate isn't really chocolate, as
- 8:20it's devoid of the cocoa solids that are the primary component of conventional chocolate.
- 8:26Instead, these are replaced with milk solids. Hershey's is generally credited with the
- 8:31first white chocolate bar, as it was created as a way to use excess
- 8:35milk powder and cocoa butter. Stevie, fuck you. You just said it
- 8:43didn't have cocoa in it, and at the end you said it did.
- 8:46It's devoid of cocoa solids, not cocoa butter. You're not saying thing.
- 8:52You are wrong nothing for you. Would anyone else like to try? You
- 8:58might as well? Rolin um, no, flawn you, yes, um,
- 9:07it does have coco powder in it. No it does not. Are
- 9:11there penalties for wrong answers? No, no penalties. Might as well try
- 9:15the penalties just for being Caroline Hey, all right, buzzing, No,
- 9:22fuck you. It wasn't Hershey's that is credited with the invention of this,
- 9:26and who would be I'm gonna call it. I don't think I know that.
- 9:35Okay, So you hit on what's wrong? If anyone can tell me
- 9:39what the correct answer, what the correct correction is. They'll scal the plot.
- 9:43Whoa okay, Sarah, Okay, Um, I'm gonna say that.
- 9:50Sorry, fuck you. Um, there you go. I don't apologize for
- 9:54it. Yeah, I don't apologize. Cadbur no any no, anyone else.
- 10:05I can't buzzing. Yeah, I was wonder my name. No,
- 10:11Um, you said hurt Nestle. Nestle is the right. I totally forgot
- 10:16that that comes. So I don't get anything right. He gets a Stevie
- 10:20stole the point. Sorry, sorry, no, not all right. So
- 10:24Stevie gets out the gate with one NERD cred. Stevie, what category you
- 10:28wanna try next? Um, let's go to TV for one NERD cred.
- 10:33The Boys is a superhero television show on Amazon Prime Video set in a universe
- 10:39where superpowered individuals are corrupt and are opposed by a group of vigilantes called the
- 10:45Boys. Carl Urban plays Billy Butcher, the leader of the Boys and a
- 10:48former and m I five operative who has a particular hatred for Homelander, who
- 10:54he believes responsible for the disappearance of his wife. Steve. Stevie, fuck
- 11:00you, it's not m I five, What is it six wrong? You
- 11:03hit on what's wrong? I'll give it to somebody. They can tell me
- 11:07what the correct correction. Sarah, fuck you? Is it the CIA?
- 11:15No, Caroline or Maddie, can you repeat that last party question? Carl
- 11:22Urban plays Billy Butcher, the leader of the Boys and a former m I
- 11:26five operative who has a particular hatred for Homelander. Blah blah blah. The
- 11:30incorrect part is that he was a former m I five operative. Wait is
- 11:35that my only guess? Yeah, now that he's kid on What's wrong,
- 11:37everybody else gets a shot to Steven. I'm just gonna make a wild guess
- 11:41because I've never seen this show for it. Um, he, I'm gonna
- 11:45guess he's no, fuck you, he's not a former operative, he's a
- 11:48current operative. Oh it's a nice tribe, but that's wrong. Yeah,
- 11:50dang, it does sound like something you would pull though. That is the
- 11:54kind of thing I would do. But no, Caroline, Um, what
- 11:58did you guess before? C Yes, I said crime scene Investigator. Oh,
- 12:05I was gonna say CIA, so I'll just say ncis No. I'm
- 12:13afraid he wasn't on ncis Billy Butcher wasn't in m I five. He was
- 12:18in the SAS. Yeah, what is that the fire? It's the British
- 12:22Special Air Services would Yeah. I wasn't sure if you were like pretending that
- 12:30he was British, So I went for American. Oh and then I remember
- 12:33that interpoll existed and I was wondering if it was that so nobody was able
- 12:39to steal it. So Stevie, that point is yours. You were up
- 12:43to to zero for everybody else. Stevie, where would you like to go?
- 12:46Now? Um, let's move to the internet. Internet. Yeah,
- 12:50Internet's awesome. Let's go to the Internet and see what's there. Past Bad
- 12:52lip Reading is a YouTube channel featuring intentionally poor lip reading of video clips for
- 12:58comedic effect. At The first video released was a spoof of Rebecca Black's Friday
- 13:03called Gang Fight, in which she's rolling with quote her pleasant Nazis Gunter and
- 13:09Hans. The creator was anonymous until twenty twenty one, but is now known
- 13:15to be music and video producer Damian Knight from Texas. No Funky You,
- 13:26It's it the Black or the Friday one wasn't their first video. I'm afraid
- 13:33it was all right? Anybody else so Sarah, Fuck you, They're not
- 13:39intentionally poor, They're actually intentionally amazing and so true. I mean, it
- 13:48doesn't make intentionally poor incorrect because they are changing what people are actually saying,
- 13:54So I would say intentionally poor is correct. So I can't give you the
- 13:56point. I will not argue, however, that it is still in ininally
- 14:00amazing. Does anyone else want to see if they can figure out what's wrong?
- 14:03Stevie or Maddie. Maddie, no, fuck you, we didn't find
- 14:07out who it was in twenty twenty one. It was a different year.
- 14:11M You are close enough to the correct answer that I'm going to give it
- 14:18to you unless somebody can give me the right correction. Stevie, it wasn't
- 14:22that dude, that producer guy whoever you said? It wasn't somebody else that's
- 14:28Dame correct? Damn it? Caroline or Sarah? Um No, I'm not
- 14:37even gonna try. Can you say with the year and the creator was anonymous
- 14:43until twenty twenty one, but is now known to be music and video producer
- 14:46Dame. Um, they weren't anonymous, they had like a pseudonym. They
- 14:52were known beforehand, is what you're saying? Yeah? No, sorry,
- 14:54Sarah, you want to take a shot. Okay, no idea which part
- 15:01of this I'm supposed to be picking? Yeah, but you gotta give me
- 15:13something, fuck you. I mean that is something, but I need more.
- 15:22Okay, fine, I'm just gonna go with Maddie's answer and say it
- 15:26was twenty twenty. No. I already told Maddie that wasn't quite it.
- 15:31Maddie, you get the point in congrats. Yeah, the creator is still
- 15:35anonymous. All we know is that they are a music and video producer from
- 15:41Texas. But I've made up the name nice all right, So that is
- 15:46a point for Maddie and Maddie. It is your turn to choose a category.
- 15:48Would you like to try? Let's try music. Music it is and
- 15:54here's your question. Cardi B got her name because her sister was named Hennessee,
- 16:00leading people to call her butccarty. Her real name is Bell Collis marlinas
- 16:06l manz ar Cephus. She was the first female rapper to appear on the
- 16:10cover of Time magazine and the first female rapper to be named Woman of the
- 16:14Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. Stev fuck you, Aaron.
- 16:19Her real name is uh what was her fake name? What was her name?
- 16:22Cardi v Cardigan, Backyardigan? Uh? No, anyone else somewhere?
- 16:34No, fabulous you. Um, it's um. It's that she wasn't the
- 16:44first woman for Times Woman of the Year or whoever whatever that one was.
- 16:49Who was hmm it's best rapper? Is it? Woman? Can I ask
- 16:56that what I said was the first female rapper to appear on the cover of
- 16:59Time? Oh? Um, it was? Um, I don't know any
- 17:03others Meg the Stallion. No, it doesn't make the stallion. Um.
- 17:08So there are two things wrong with the statement. You can correct me in
- 17:11one of two ways. Caroline did not hit on it, but she's in
- 17:15the ballpark about what's wrong? Would anyone else like to buzz in and take
- 17:18a shot at correcting this? Maddie it was ninky nice try, but no
- 17:33it wasn't. Nicki Minaj Sarah, I'm gonna sorry, fuck you? And
- 17:38also, oh I'm not solizing sorry okay, Um, she was never on
- 17:48the cover of Time magazine. That's incorrect. She wasn't the cover of Time
- 17:52magazine. Stevie, you've got a chance to steal but your last yeah you
- 17:56did. But somebody then got close to us, right, so you get
- 17:59a chance to steal it. Stevie, she wasn't a rapper, No,
- 18:08Stevie, she was definitely That is another point to Maddie. Okay, Like
- 18:14I said, there were two ways to correct this. The actual first female
- 18:17rapper to appear on the cover of Time was Lauren Hill back in nineteen ninety
- 18:21nine. That was me. I I didn't get it right. Oh it
- 18:23was Caroline. Yeah, Caroline, game came up with the wrong rapper one
- 18:26because my apologies. The other way to correct it, Cardi b was the
- 18:30first female rapper to appear on the cover of Vogue. Oh so that was
- 18:34another way you could be You could correct it, um, but either way,
- 18:38point goes to Caroline. Thank you, Maddie for your honesty. Yeah.
- 18:41No, all right. I was like, oh I must have missed
- 18:45something. All right, So it's time for a first uncommon game. Sorry,
- 18:51Caroline, you don't get to pick category yet. Uncommon games are like
- 18:55the common statements, except it's a completely different game and it's worth more points.
- 19:00Uh. For our first game, we're playing who lets the Cats out?
- 19:03Now? Now? Now, now, I have here seven fictional cats.
- 19:07All I need you to do is buzz in and tell me who owns
- 19:11that particular cat. Whoever successfully identifies the owner of the most cats wins the
- 19:17game and earns two points. Fair warning. At least one of these cats
- 19:21isn't owned by anyone, which makes nobody the correct answer. Also, if
- 19:26the owner has a full name, I need both their first and last name,
- 19:30but if they're primarily known only by one name, I will accept that.
- 19:33Ready, Yes, okay, here we go. Your first cat,
- 19:38Garfield. What's his name? The dog is Odi and the owner is Dan
- 19:48John John last name? Oh? No, John Denver, Sarah Caroline,
- 20:00Hey, okay, because you, because you, because you buzzed in at
- 20:03the same time as me, and you almost got it. Cat number two
- 20:07Crookshankscher that's right, all right. Cat number three Hobbs Caroline Calvin, that's
- 20:18right. Cat number four mister Bigglesworth, Stephen Stevie, Oh, doctor Evil,
- 20:23that's right. Cat number five Heathcliff, Stephen Stevie, No one,
- 20:32that's right. Cat number six spot nobody. I'm gonna call time. That
- 20:42was data from Star Trek new next generation all right? And finally, last
- 20:49cat Snowbell oh Stephen Steviella wrong? Anyone else now, I Failiar, but
- 21:06I don't know. I'm gonna call time. That would have been Stuart Little,
- 21:11but I would have taken any member of the little family. It is
- 21:14a family cat. So Caroline got two cats, Stevie got two cats,
- 21:18Sarah got one cat. So there's a tie. So you're each gonna get
- 21:22two points, all right. And since there was a tie, Stevie,
- 21:30you were in the lead when we went into the game, So I'm gonna
- 21:33give it to Caroline. Caroline, what category would you like to try?
- 21:36For a last question before the break? Music for one nerd cred pianos or
- 21:42keyboard instruments with strings struck by wooden hammers coated with a softer material, and
- 21:48they can have upward of twelve thousand parts. It was invented around the year
- 21:52seventeen hundred by Nicolo Amati, who served as apprentice to the great violin maker
- 21:57Bartolomeo Christopher Caroline, no flabbergasted you it? Um, he didn't mentor under
- 22:08that guy's not a violinist. Uh So you're saying that Nicolo Amati did not
- 22:17apprentice to the great violin maker in bartel Lomeo Christophori. Um, I don't
- 22:22think he made violins. That's incorrect, Stevie, I believe Fuck you,
- 22:30Aaron. The year is incorrect. The year is correct, So Sarah,
- 22:36Um, the wrong thing, fuck you. The wrong thing is the guy
- 22:41who invents who made the piano? And what would the correction be? I
- 22:45don't know. Okay, you're close enough to it that I'm gonna give it
- 22:51to you unless somebody can steal it by correcting it. M Caroline, no
- 23:00floor you U it is it? Um? Can you repeat the piano statement?
- 23:11Pianos or keyboard instruments with strings struck by wooden hammers coated with a softer
- 23:15material, and they can have upward of twelve thousand parts. It was invented
- 23:18around the year seventeen hundred by Niccolo Amati, who served as it was two
- 23:23people. Uh no, that is incorrect. Maddie. You want to take
- 23:27a shot. I have no idea. Take guess a wild guess, do
- 23:37it, Maddie. It was me I invented it. That's absolutely correct.
- 23:51Maddie is a time traveler and went back three hundred years specifically to invent the
- 23:55piano. Uh No, that's incorrect. I'm gonna give the point to Sarah.
- 23:59It was Urt Tolomeo who invented the piano nut Nicolo Matti. I switched
- 24:03the names around. Oh, so point goes to Sarah and at the break
- 24:10the scores are Maddie with one point, Sarah at one point, Caroline has
- 24:12three points, and Stevie has four points. But that could all change.
- 24:17We'll be back with more n fy tw right after this. Once upon a
- 24:27time boring. It was the best of times, it was the worst.
- 24:32You got that right? What's your problem? We want new stories? Hi,
- 24:37It's Frankie and Garrett and we host The Ever Trending Story, a weekly
- 24:42podcast where we bring to life a fictional story created by our own minds and
- 24:48some of the hottest, craziest trends from the Internet. Find us wherever you
- 24:52download podcast, and be sure to join the fun on social media at ever
- 24:56Trending pot I take it. Welcome back. We got a heated gain of
- 25:11fuck you. This is why points are flying every which way. This might
- 25:15be the highest scoring game we've had at this point in a long time.
- 25:18So let's begin with another common statement. Sarah, you got the last one
- 25:23right, So you get the choice. What category do you want to try?
- 25:26Can you remind me what they are, sure, music, food,
- 25:29TV or Internet. I'll do TV TV. It is for one nerd.
- 25:37Cred who Wants to Be a Millionaire has just under one hundred different variations of
- 25:41the show across the globe, and everybody knows the standard fifty fifty phone a
- 25:47friend and ask the audience lifelines, but there were also a number of unique
- 25:49lifelines in those variations, like switch the question three wise men, two wise
- 25:55men, ask one of the audience, Ask three of the audience plus one
- 26:00Stevie, fuck you. It's not two wise men. That is incorrect.
- 26:04I will continue the statement for everybody else and I'll start from there. Three
- 26:07wise men, two wise men, ask one of the audience, ask three
- 26:11of the audience plus one Crystal Ball, and ask the host. So Sarah,
- 26:21it's fuck you. It's not under one hundred, it's over one hundred.
- 26:26That's exactly right. That is exactly right. There are over one hundred
- 26:32different variations, not under good catch. It's like my favorite universe, the
- 26:37ninety Day Fiance universe. And yes, every single one of those lifelines I
- 26:42read off is absolutely real. So Sarah gets another point, and you get
- 26:47the choice of the categories. Again, what would you like to do?
- 26:49I'll do music. Music. It is for one nerd cred. Taylor Allison
- 26:56Swift was born in East Reading, Pennsylvania, and she moved to Nashville at
- 27:00age fourteen to become a country artist, and her two thousand and six self
- 27:04titled debut album made her the first female country artist to write a US platinum
- 27:10album. Her popularity exploded when she started experimenting with country pop with albums Fearless
- 27:17and Speak Now. Stevie, fuck you. She wasn't the first one.
- 27:22It was Dolly Parton. That is incorrect, right, I will continue the
- 27:26statement, experimenting with country pop with albums Fearless and Speak Now, eventually resulting
- 27:33in The Times calling her the Bob Dylan of our age. M So,
- 27:38Sarah, fuck you. I'm gonna say she didn't move when she was fourteen.
- 27:45She moved when she was That's incorrect. It's not her age, that's
- 27:52wrong. Can you repeat the statement, okay? Taylor Allison Swift was born
- 27:56in East Writing, Pennsylvania, and she moved to Asheville at age fourteen to
- 28:00become a country artist, and her two thousand and six self titled debut album
- 28:04made her the first female country artist to write a US platinum album. Her
- 28:10popularity exploded when she started experimenting with country pop with albums Fearless and speak Now,
- 28:17eventually resulting inline Caroline. Um. I would argue that Fearless is not
- 28:22a country pop album. You can, but that's not what I'm looking for.
- 28:29Sorry, Naddy, You're the only one left to guess. Okay,
- 28:36no, fuck you. I'll guess that. It was not The Times that
- 28:40called her the Bob Dylan of ur Age. That's the kind of thing I
- 28:42would do, but it's wrong, I'm afraid. So nobody got close to
- 28:47what the actual I said. She was born in East Reading. She was
- 28:49born in West Oh my god, I did have that. I was like,
- 28:55no Caroline knows where she was born? Well, I knew it was
- 28:57Reading. Yeah, this is what I gotta put up with every week.
- 29:03Yes, I will be that pedantic. Nobody gets that point. So Sarah,
- 29:07you still have control. Where would you like to go next? Um?
- 29:11Well, I'll try another music, another music. Alrighty for one nerd
- 29:17credit time for some fun Grammy facts. They used to be called the Gramophone
- 29:22Awards, and the trophies themselves are modeled after gramophones, and only three artists,
- 29:26Billie Eilish, Adele and Christopher Cross have ever won the Big Four Awards
- 29:33Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and
- 29:37Best New Artist, and two of them won them all in the same year.
- 29:41Billy Eilish, Oh sorry, three buzzing, go ahead, no flop
- 29:48you it's more than three. It's four. That is incorrect. I'll finish
- 29:56the statement. And two of them won all four awards in the same year,
- 30:02Billie Eilish in twenty twenty and Adele in two thousand and nine. Nothing,
- 30:14Stephen Stevie, Fuck you, Aaron. It wasn't two thousand and nine
- 30:17for Adele. It was later than that. Oh, that's incorrect. I
- 30:23thought you gonna make you do a year Maddie or Sarah so Sarah? Um?
- 30:32The third one isn't the name that you said, Christopher Cross, Yeah,
- 30:37no it is. I'm sorry, Maddie, you're the last one to
- 30:41take shots. Every time you say that, I think she has to take
- 30:45a literal shot of alcohol. Oh my god. If this were a drinking
- 30:49game, it can be. It's not hard converted. Okay, I'll guess
- 30:57that. Willie Eilish's year is wrong. No, Billie Eilish's year is correct.
- 31:03I said Adele won all of them in the same year. That is
- 31:07incorrect. Christopher Cross won them all in the same year in nineteen eighty one.
- 31:11Adele did not win all four in two thousand and nine. She should
- 31:14have. Yeah, probably, I don't know who the others are, all
- 31:18right, So nobody gets that point. But that's fine. We're moving on
- 31:22to our second uncommon game. And this game is a fun one and it's
- 31:26one we've played before. It's called sitcom karaoke. I have seven setups from
- 31:32popular television sitcoms, and I just want you to give me the punch line.
- 31:36You don't have to get it exact. If you're close enough to the
- 31:37original punch line, I'll give it to you. The player who gets the
- 31:41most correct out of seven wins and earns two NERD cred. So this first
- 31:48sitcom setup is from the Fresh Prince of bel Air. When do we eat
- 31:56here? We eat here? Later? You eat here never? What's the
- 32:02punchline? This is Jazzy Jeff talking to Uncle Phil ste Stevie. You eat
- 32:13here all the time. I'm going to give that to you. That's close
- 32:15enough. He says, looks like you eat here often. Awesome. So
- 32:22that's one point to Stevie. All right, six more to go. Here
- 32:25is a sitcom set up number two. This is from Parks and Recreation.
- 32:30Well, nice to meet you. My name's April, and I just wanted
- 32:34to say that your dress is so cute it's bunks. I saw my spinning
- 32:38instructor wearing it and I was like, shut up, where do I get
- 32:42that? Oh? My god, who's your spinning instructor? Gregory or Manona?
- 32:45I go to Janis. Who are Gregory and Winona? I've never heard
- 32:47of them before? Are they better? Winona rocks my world? Seriously,
- 32:52you need to get me in there, like that's a mass mess. She's
- 32:57the worst person I've ever met. What line follows that I can't buse?
- 33:01Oh? Sorry, uh Caroline, UM, I love her? No she
- 33:10does not. Um Maddie Sarah or Stevie. Stevie, Maddie or Sarah.
- 33:34I'm gonna call it in three two one. I have no idea, no
- 33:38guesses, Caroline, what is it? I want to travel the world with
- 33:42her? That's it. Yeah, She's the worst person I've ever met.
- 33:45I want to travel Nobody got that one. Unfortunately, let's move on to
- 33:52set up number three. This is from Cheers. It's gonna be very sad
- 33:57place. Some people spend their whole lives in. What follows that ste Stevie
- 34:07Norm walks in. That was normal? That was normal. Norm says one
- 34:13more thing? Can you replay that? Sorry? Like I absolutely can.
- 34:16By the way, it's partially covered up by applause. But he says,
- 34:19bars are sometimes sad. Places can be very sad places. Some people spend
- 34:24their whole lives in the barn. Some people even have their funeral here.
- 34:34I like that, but it's wrong Maddie or Sarah. I like, I've
- 34:38never seen these, ah anything I'll call times. Sarah sounds like a great
- 35:00life. I like that, but no, that's not correct. Maddie.
- 35:06Whoa ohez all right, Oh, I'm not sure what's going on here.
- 35:20Maintained an unplug and replug. It's the a button that it might be stuck
- 35:23or something. There we go, it's gone. Okay, Sarah, can
- 35:30you buzz in for me just once? Okay? Rock out? Maddie,
- 35:35would you like to take a shot? It's sadder if you don't. I
- 35:42mean, I like that it's incorrect. The actual punch line is just yesterday,
- 35:46some guy sat right here next to me for eleven hours. That's norm
- 35:52for you. All right, nobody got that one. Let's move on to
- 35:54Sitcom set up number four. This is from the good Place. Somebody royally
- 36:00forked up. Somebody forked up? Why can't I say? For if you're
- 36:06trying to curse, you can't hear. I guess a lot of people in
- 36:08this neighborhood don't like it, so it's prohibited. What follows that line,
- 36:13Maddie fork you? No, not quite anyway. Stevie's got to be forked
- 36:21them. No, no, damn. Carolina's shirt close. I'm gonna give
- 36:31it to you. I'm gonna give it to you, but if I know
- 36:35the actual Yeah, but it's not fair because you watched that episode. I'm
- 36:40gonna give it to Sarah because she was close enough. I did say I'd
- 36:43give it to you if you were close enough. She says, that's bullshirt.
- 36:45Oh oh nice, So Sarah takes that one. Sarah and Stevie each
- 36:52have one set up. Let's move on to set up number five. This
- 36:57is from Community What else? Start with a quick look see into someone's bag,
- 37:01and then it's a brisk PEEKARONI at our phone records, and before you
- 37:05can say nineteen eighty four, the thought police are forcy wartsing you defend and
- 37:08spread and spread the thought police gonna make love to us. A third person
- 37:15speaks at this point. What line follows Caroline, I wish No, that's
- 37:23incorrect. Maddie, Steven ste Chevy Chase walks in and he says, I've
- 37:34had I've had to spread him once or so. No, No, that's
- 37:38not right, Maddie or Sarah. I'll call time in three two. So
- 37:47Sarah, I'm always spread to I got I'm not seeing this all right.
- 38:01So the gentleman who plays a childish gambino speaks up and goes, do they
- 38:07fight thoughts in our butts? That's what he says. All right, Let's
- 38:12move on to set up number six. This is from Arrested Developments. I'm
- 38:16exercising, I'm sleeping well, be doing time. What does the patriarch of
- 38:22the family say next, I'm exercising, I'm doing well. The sun says
- 38:30you're doing time. So Sarah, the time of my life. That's exactly
- 38:35right. He says, I'm doing the time of my life. Well done,
- 38:42Sarah. That's two. So, Sarah, you're definitely going to get
- 38:45two points out of this because there's only one setup left and the best anyone
- 38:49can do is tie you. But let's see if anybody else can you get
- 38:52two points. The final sitcom set up is from The Golden Girls. Oh
- 38:58Girls, thought to be late. I ran out of gas on the way
- 39:01home. It's just horrible. Nobody would stop to help me. This could
- 39:07never have happened in the Old South. What has become of chivalry? When
- 39:12men used to open doors for you, pull out your chair, tip their
- 39:15hat, kiss your hand, help you down out of your carriage, leave
- 39:19calling cards a little silver sound time sure have changed? No, no,
- 39:30oh, they're more than willing to pull out. I like that, but
- 39:37no, that's not what is said. Next. It's Maddie and Sarah the
- 39:49late too yet again the deep thinkers. I've got nothing, Sarah, And
- 39:57then they stop when you get married. I like it, but no,
- 40:02Maddie, you're sure you don't want to take a shot. I have no
- 40:05idea. All right, that's fine? Uh be Arthur as uh not Sophie.
- 40:13Why can I not remember her name? In any event? She says,
- 40:15how far back do you want to go? Do you still want to
- 40:16be able to vote? I almost said something about voting. If you said
- 40:22something about losing the ability to vote, I would have given it to you.
- 40:25In any event, Sarah won two of those Steve, you only got
- 40:29one, So Sarah wins the game and earns two points. Well done.
- 40:36The scores at the end of that game, Stevie and Sarah are tied on
- 40:38four points. Caroline has three, Maddie has won, but there's still a
- 40:42lot of game left. Speaking which Sarah, you won that game, so
- 40:45you have the right to choose the next category, um Internet Internet for one
- 40:54nerd credit. You may know Tayzon Day as the singer of the viral video
- 41:00a song, Chocolate Rain, but you might know him from other things.
- 41:04He's appeared on The Opie and Anthony Show, G four TV's Attack of the
- 41:07Show, VH one's Hip Hop Squares, Lily Allen and Friends, Jimmy Kimmel
- 41:12Live, Tosh point zero, and Morey, where he performed Chocolate Rain on
- 41:16national television a little over three months after posting it on YouTube. Maddie,
- 41:25no, fuck you, I'm going to guess it wasn't Jimmy Kimmel. It
- 41:28was Jimmy fallon Nice Tribe. But no, it was Jimmy Kimmel Live anyone
- 41:32else the Jimmy's Do you mind reading it again? Yes, you may know
- 41:38Taizon Day as the singer of the viral video song Chocolate Rain, but you
- 41:44might know him from other things. He's appeared on The Opie and Anthony Show,
- 41:46G four TV's Attack of the Show, VH one's Hip Hop Squares.
- 41:52Caroline, no, um flowing you. It's not on VH one, It's
- 42:01on MTV. That is incorrect. Stevie or Sarah Stevie, it wasn't Attack
- 42:12of the show. Know that he was on Attack of the show? Sho
- 42:22Sarah fuck you did maybe Hazonde not write that song? Oh my god?
- 42:28That would be amazing if it was true. But it's no, that's incorrect.
- 42:31I said he was on VH one's Hip Hop Squares. He did not
- 42:35appear on Hip Hop Squares. He did appear on VH one's Best Week Ever.
- 42:39However, so when Caroline said it wasn't VH one, that was not
- 42:43correct. It was vhe just not Yeah, sorry, all right, one
- 42:49more before we go to another break, Sarah, You're still in control because
- 42:52you have been from most of this game. Where would you like to go
- 42:57next? Caroline is mouthing TV and me all right, TV? It is
- 43:02from either one of you. Here's this statement. House MD stars Hugh Laurie
- 43:08as the titular misanthropic genius, and many parallels can be drawn between him and
- 43:13Sherlock Holmes. The patient in the pilot is named after Irene Adler from the
- 43:17short story A Case of Identity. House is shot at the end of season
- 43:22two by a gunman who's credited as Moriarty. And How's his name is a
- 43:25deliberate reference to Sherlock's last name, Holmes. I get it, No fork
- 43:36you, m It's not Irene, It's someone else. The patient in the
- 43:44pilot is named after Irene Adler made Maddie no fuck you. It wasn't the
- 43:51end of season two that he was shot. It was the end of season
- 43:54two that he was shot. Can you read the beginning again? Sure?
- 43:59House I'm D stars Hugh Laurie as the titular misanthropic genius, and many parallels
- 44:04can be drawn between him and Sherlock Holmes. The patient in the pilot is
- 44:07named after Irene Adler from the short story A Case of Identity. House is
- 44:13shot at the end of season two by a gunman who was credited as Moriarty,
- 44:16and how's his name is a deliberate reference to Sherlock's last name Holmes.
- 44:21So, Sarah, the fuck you? The show is called House, not
- 44:25House MD. Nice try, but it is officially titled House MD. Stevie,
- 44:31you're left, Yeah, dream, Thanks Steve, I kind of remember
- 44:38it. I really appreciate you paying attention during one of our recordings. Yeah,
- 44:42it was that doctor Gay. Um, I'm gonna say it was Moriarty.
- 44:47It was somebody else. No, it was credited as Moriarty. Um,
- 44:52this one was tough. I said that Irene Adler was from the short
- 44:55story A Case of Identity. She's name checked, but she doesn't actually appear
- 45:00in a Case of Identity. The story she actually appears in is a scandal
- 45:04in Bohemia. That was like the second thing I thought after Yeah, I
- 45:08said, so no points for that same in either. But we're sitting pretty.
- 45:15Mandy has one point, Caroline has three, Stevie and Sarah have four
- 45:17each. We're gonna see how this all plays out and we finished Part three,
- 45:22coming right up. Hey, this is Grabbing the Brisket podcast. Join

- 46:14with a relatively close game and we're going to see who wins. An all,
- 46:20let's move on to our next common statements. Tara, you are still
- 46:23in control? Okay? Would you like to go? What's the category?
- 46:30I haven't picked yet? Food? Okay? Food? Who it is for
- 46:36one? Nerd creb? This one's for candy fans. Did you know that
- 46:38Eminem's were named after two men named Frank and Bruce in the nineteen thirties,
- 46:44Frank C. Mars observed soldiers in the Spanish Civil War eating Smarties, and
- 46:49he created his own process to make similar candy. In nineteen forty one,
- 46:52when the company was founded, it was named Eminem Limited after himself and Bruce
- 46:57Murray, who had a twenty percent are in the product. Steve stuck.
- 47:02You learned it wasn't Skittles. He based it around smartiest thing Skittles. Yeah,
- 47:09no, damn it. There was not anybody else, Maddie, no,
- 47:15fuck you. It wasn't the Spanish Civil War. Nice try, but
- 47:19it was the Spanish Civil War, So Sarah, no fuck you. They
- 47:23weren't whatever you said, business partners. They were gay lovers, so they
- 47:34may have been that, but they were also business partners. Not confirmed.
- 47:38Read the statement. Yeah sure, this one's for candy fans. Did you
- 47:42know that M and M's were named after two men named Frank and Bruce.
- 47:45In the nineteen thirties, Frank C. Mars observed soldiers in the Spanish Civil
- 47:49War eating Smarties, and he created his own process to make similar candy.
- 47:52In nineteen forty one, when the company was founded, it was named Eminem
- 47:55Limited after himself and Bruce Murray, who had a twenty percent share in the
- 48:00product. No flap. You part of the challenges coming up with a new
- 48:10apport, doing a really good job. Thank you. I'm enjoying the process.
- 48:17Um oh god, his last name wasn't Murray. Uh no, you're
- 48:23actually hovering around the right here. But his first name wasn't bus It was
- 48:29the other guy. It wasn't Frank C. Mars. It was his son,
- 48:30Forrest Mars, who actually patented and created Eminem's. So no points there.
- 48:38One more before we get to another uncommon game, Sarah, what category
- 48:43would you like to try? I'll try food again, food again for one
- 48:50nerd cred Raspberries are the edible fruits of a multitude of plant species in the
- 48:55genus Rubus of the rose family, and in twenty twenty, world production to
- 49:00raspberries was almost nine hundred thousand tons. And if you're a fan of blue
- 49:05raspberry flavoring, I hope you're aware that both the flavor and color don't derive
- 49:09from raspberries at all. It was first used in the United States in nineteen
- 49:14fifty eight to make a new flavor of ice cream, and it's made from
- 49:17cares. Forrest. You it wasn't ice cream. What was it? Oh
- 49:30God, I know this too. It was shave ice. I'm gonna give
- 49:37that to you because it says snow cone, same thing. So yeah,
- 49:42yeah, blue raspberry was invented to add interest to snow cones, not ice
- 49:45cream. So Caroline gets the point. Well done, But once again,
- 49:50you've scored a point just in time to lose control. Because we're going to
- 49:52an uncommon game, and this one's a favorite of ours. This one's called
- 49:58code words. For this game, I've got a list of facts that describe
- 50:01characters in three different movies or TV series. All you have to do is
- 50:06tell me what character from these movie or TV series these things happen to.
- 50:10But there's one slight catch. You can't say the name and the character or
- 50:15the movie or the TV show they're from. You have to use the code
- 50:17word instead. If you say the name of the movie or TV show or
- 50:22the character, you won't get the point. So if the event the event
- 50:25in question describes ZeVA David from ncis, say Betty White. If it describes
- 50:34Wonder Woman in the twenty seventeen movie of the same name, say Cardi b.
- 50:40And if it describes Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter movies, say Marjorie
- 50:46Taylor Green. Can you say the second one again? I can do all
- 50:52three of them. If the event in question describes ZeVA David from NCIS,
- 50:57say Betty White. If it describes Wonder Woman in the twenty seventeen movie of
- 51:02the same name, say Cardi b And if it describes Dolores Umbridge in the
- 51:07Harry Potter movies, say Marjorie Taylor Green. So, for example, if
- 51:14I were to say solve solves crimes involving Navy officers, the correct answer would
- 51:19be Steve ste Betty White. That's correct, got it, got it?
- 51:24Write it down. No, you are just going to buzz in as soon
- 51:29as you know and give me the correct code word. Here we go openly
- 51:32commits child abuse Steve Stevie Marjorie Keller Green correct, primarily known for being a
- 51:39part of a team of four people. Sorry, I forgot clear it,
- 51:44Sarahdi b uh no, damn Caroline Betty White. That is correct. Uh
- 51:54number three implies she's bisexual, but seems Caroline Hardy's not working either. No,
- 52:00shed before you could. Uh No, that's incorrect. So Sarah Betty
- 52:07White. That's correct. Let's hold for a second, Matty, can you
- 52:13buzz in? Yeah, it's working fine, you're just slow. I'm sorry.
- 52:24Yeah, work him out, work him out. We got we got
- 52:28six more of these. Uh. Yeah, that full statement was implied.
- 52:31She's bisexual, but seems more attracted to men, Betty White, for ZeVA
- 52:36de Vi. Uh seems to be bisexual. But Maddie Cardi is right.
- 52:43Uh is named after a goddess of crossroads CV. Betty White. No,
- 52:49Sarah Cardi B. That's right. Uh. Number six repeatedly defeated and humiliated
- 52:57my children, Caroline Marjorie Green. Yeah, that's right. I feel like
- 53:01you changed it in your mind when you heard children expecting children. Next one
- 53:10enjoys tying people up with a lasso. Sarah Cardi B. Yeah, that's
- 53:15right. Uh. Confronted centaurs with racial slurs Stevie No, Caroline Marjorie Taylor
- 53:25Green. Yeah, that was confronted centaurs with racial slurs and was carried off
- 53:30by the herd. And finally, Wow, Sarah, I didn't do it.
- 53:37I think it's stuck again. Oh no, it's fine, all right.
- 53:39Trained from a young age, Sarah Cardi b no. Trained from a
- 53:44young age to be an assassinstry Maddie, that's right, and at the end
- 53:50of code words uh, Sarah and Caroline have three points each. Maddie has
- 53:54one, Stevie has one and sorry, Maddie has two. But it's not
- 53:58enough, so Sarah and car Line tie. They each get two points.
- 54:01Yeah, very nice. I got questions who's dolorous? From Harry Potter?
- 54:06From Harry Potter? Oh god, okay cool? Four more statements. Sarah,
- 54:13you're in the lead. Where do you want to go now? Um?
- 54:19Actually no. Last time we did this, the you both won.
- 54:22Caroline had fewer points of Caroline. You need to choose, all right,
- 54:25I'm gonna go with TV for one nerd cred. Let's talk about commercials.
- 54:32Frequently named the best commercial of all time. In nineteen eighty four, popular
- 54:37director John Carpenter directed an Apple ad showing Sarah, I have no idea because
- 54:45I forgot how this game works. For one moment, I thought I was
- 54:51supposed to say, Betty White CARDI beer. No, we're done with that,
- 54:55and you're done. We're just doing normal Stffen, do you want to
- 55:02take a sin? I'm gonna say that that director. You said is the
- 55:07wrong person? Who is it? I don't know because I clearly was not
- 55:12paying enough attention. Okay, well, the fact of the matter is you
- 55:15found what's wrong, but not the right correction. So I'm going to read
- 55:19the whole thing. May please, if any one of the three of you
- 55:22want to buzz in and give me the right correction, feel free to do
- 55:24so. Let's talk about commercials. Frequently named the best commercial of all time.
- 55:29In nineteen eighty four, popular director John Carpenter directed it wasn't John Carpenter,
- 55:34who was it? It was Steven Spielberg. No, that's incorrect.
- 55:37I will finish the statement for Stevie and Maddie. In nineteen eighty four,
- 55:43popular director John Carpenter directed an Apple ad showing a scantily clad woman fighting a
- 55:49brainwashing machine. Stevie, I answer, fuck you heard? Oh yeah,
- 55:59your correction. My correction wasn't Carpenter, it was George Lucas. You.
- 56:01No, it wasn't that, Maddie. This one's all yours. I'm gonna
- 56:08let you read the whole thing out, but if you don't, I won't
- 56:13be surprised. In nineteen eighty four, popular director John Carpenter directed an Apple
- 56:17ad showing a scantily clad woman fighting a brainwashing machine inspired by George Orwell's classic
- 56:22dystopian novel nineteen eighty four. Despite airing only once nationally, customers went on
- 56:28to purchase one hundred and fifty five million dollars worth of Macintosh computers three months
- 56:34after the ad aired. But it was not John Carpenter, so you can
- 56:38just tell me who it was. No, fuck you, it wasn't John
- 56:43Carpenter. It was John Shoemaker. I like that. The ad was directed
- 56:51by Ridley Scott of Alien. Yeah, John Carpenter, but I would not
- 56:59expected but Britley Scott. Sarah gets that point despite pizzing way too early.
- 57:07Impressively done, you are still in control net. Where would you like to
- 57:16go next? I'll do TV again. Yeah, this is our last TV
- 57:22question, so no more after this. You must pick fund of the other
- 57:24three categories. Here's your TV statement. Everybody Loves Everybody Loves Raymond. The
- 57:30show ran for nine seasons, frequently gets included in the top one hundred TV
- 57:34Shows of All Time lists from publications like TV Guide and Rolling Stone, and
- 57:37earned a staggering sixty nine Emmy nominations. Ray Romano himself at one point earned
- 57:44one. Steve wasn't Rolling Stone, No, I'm afraid it was. Rolling
- 57:50Stone did include them in their Best TV Shows of All Times. I will
- 57:53continue from where I left off. Ray Romano himself at one point earned one
- 57:58point seven million dollars per episode, making him the second highest paid actor on
- 58:01TV after Kelsey Grammer's Frasier. But when this news broke, the rest of
- 58:06the main cast went on strike for more pay. No, Fizzy you,
- 58:13um uh, it didn't have it had more seasons. It was eleven seasons.
- 58:20No, it was nine, so Sarah, no fuck you. Nobody
- 58:24loves Raymond and it was never on any lists because no one. I kind
- 58:31of wish I was in that universe, but sorry, no, um Matty,
- 58:36you're the only one left. Oh I am? Oh shoot, okay
- 58:39um. I was also going to guess that it wasn't nine seasons, so
- 58:46no, fuck you. I'm going to guess the person made more than one
- 58:52point seven million dollars per episode. Um, that's incorrect. But you are
- 58:59in the ballpark. Um, I said he was. I said he was
- 59:02the second highest paid actor. He was the highest hold Grammar over Kelsey.
- 59:08Yeah, Kelsey Grammar actually made less than him. He's a woman. Obviously,
- 59:13they're both men. Yea also got paid for the song because he did
- 59:19the song at the intros too. Yeah, he got double paid. He
- 59:21still made less. He still made less than Ray Mono. He made it
- 59:23one point seven million dollars per episode. That's a lot of money. Oh
- 59:28my god, it's a crazy amount of money. Us. All right,
- 59:34let's see, so we got three more statements to go before the rare question,
- 59:38Sarah, you who are still in control? Is nobody can get a
- 59:44statement right other than you? I'm gonna say Internet okay for one nerd cred.
- 59:53Here's some fun podcast facts. According to the Omnicorps marketing agency, the
- 59:59leading pot cast publisher worldwide is iHeartRadio with two hundred and sixty six million streams,
- 1:00:05but the leading podcast app is Spotify with thirty point six percent of total
- 1:00:09listenership. The most popular podcast genre is true crime with twenty two percent of
- 1:00:15listenership. The most popular length for podcasts is twenty to forty minutes, and
- 1:00:20the most likely listener to a podcast, based on statistics, is a white
- 1:00:24male with a postgraduate degree listening on a mobile device, Mattie, I'm gonna
- 1:00:30guess the most No fuck you, it's the most common listener is a female
- 1:00:37of that description. Nice tribe at no is a white male? Who next
- 1:00:40Stevie? No fuck you? Aaron? Or the numbers? Which number were
- 1:00:50you interested in? I can tell you. I can't remember. I Heeart
- 1:00:53Radio had two hundred and sixty six million streams. Spotify had thirty point six
- 1:00:58percent of total listenership. True crime is the most popular genre of twenty two
- 1:01:00percent of listenership and the most popular length for podcasts. He is twenty to
- 1:01:06forty minutes. The time is wrong the most you think it's I think it's
- 1:01:08higher than that. Yes, you're absolutely wrong. Really. The most popular
- 1:01:13length is twenty four yearsweek at lower ours. Uh? Would anybody else liked
- 1:01:20to buzz in? Who has not already done so? Can you repeat the
- 1:01:23statement? Um, but finger you? That's so much worse. I was,
- 1:01:34I was gonna, I'm really sorry. I was gonna remind you to
- 1:01:37you include a F word because he left it out last time, But you
- 1:01:40didn't get it right. Anyway, That's awesome. I'm gonna put that.
- 1:01:45So. Here's some fun podcast facts. According to the Omnicorp marketing agency.
- 1:01:49The leading cop podcast publisher worldwide. Is I Heeart Radio two years. It's
- 1:01:53not iHeartRadio Radio. It's NPR. No, it is I Heeart Radio.
- 1:01:58Guess. I'm afraid good guess, Sarah. I'm gonna say that the percentage
- 1:02:07of true crime is wrong. You're in the ballpark enough that I think I'm
- 1:02:16going to give it to you unless somebody can. Well, you haven't corrected
- 1:02:19it yet. What is your correction? Is it that it's is it somehow
- 1:02:28not true crime? It's true crime somehow not the most popular kind of podcast.
- 1:02:34I'm still waiting. Okay, okay, I'll just correct the percentage.
- 1:02:37I'll say it's higher than that. No, but you are close enough that
- 1:02:44I will give it to you unless somebody can give me the proper correction as
- 1:02:46the three of you. Maddie, I'm gonna guess it's not it's the wrong
- 1:02:51genre. I'm going to guess that news is the most popular. That is
- 1:02:57incorrect, Caroline or Stevie, it's not true crime. It is entertainment.
- 1:03:07What wait, as most podcast category. I can't give that to you,
- 1:03:14Stevie. Stevie comedy podcast. That's what I was looking for. It's not
- 1:03:20true crime, it's comedy that's the most popular with twenty two percent of listenership.
- 1:03:24Oh okay, we don't change that. We've got to make our show
- 1:03:27short. Stevie podcast. Stevie, you actually took control. It's not Sarah's
- 1:03:31going to choose are for a little bit anyway, at least for this current
- 1:03:37But there's only two left to go, so music, Internet or food?
- 1:03:39Food? Sir who is yes? I want some food for one nerd cred.
- 1:03:44While incredibly contentious, Hawaiian pizza is traditionally topped with pineapple, tomato,
- 1:03:49sauce, cheese, and either ham or bacon. But despite being named after
- 1:03:52Hawaii, it isn't an American invention. A Greek pizzeria owner in Canada invented
- 1:03:59the pizza in nineteen sixty two, and even if you don't personally like it,
- 1:04:01In twenty fourteen, Time ranked at first on its list of the ten
- 1:04:05most influential pizzas a time Maddie, no, fuck you. It was invented
- 1:04:13in America. That's incorrect, invented in Caroline. No for you, it
- 1:04:20is. It isn't Time that did that. It was the onion. No,
- 1:04:27I'm afraid it was time. Okay, he wasn't Greek, he was
- 1:04:32Italian. Um no, he was Greek. Sorry, Sarah, you're last
- 1:04:39up. I feel like I want to hear the rest that. Yeah,
- 1:04:43that was well incredibly contentious. Swainian pizza's traditionally topped with pineapple, tomato,
- 1:04:48sauce, cheese, and either ham or bacon, but despite being named after
- 1:04:53Hawaii, it isn't an American invention. A Greek pizzeria owner in Canada invented
- 1:04:58the pizza in nineteen sixty two, and even if you personally don't like it,
- 1:05:00in twenty fourteen, Time ranked it first on its list of the ten
- 1:05:04most influential pizzas of all time. So, Sarah, fuck you, it
- 1:05:13wasn't first, and first is the pizza from Chucky Cheese. I like that
- 1:05:25answer. It's wrong, Um, but believe it or not, you are
- 1:05:28in the You're in the right ballpark. I said it was the top ten.
- 1:05:30It was the top thirteen. Specific that was an incredibly panetic thing to
- 1:05:38do, and you're or even thirteen pizzas out there, so they're just like,
- 1:05:45a ten's not enough, we gotta do thirteen. Do you know any
- 1:05:49of the other twelve. No, I didn't bother looking for the list.
- 1:05:53I wonder if they are. You probably look it up. It's an article
- 1:05:57from twenty fourteen. So anyway, Stevie, you are still in control.
- 1:06:00You get the last pick before we go to the rare statement. Hook up
- 1:06:03the Internet, Man, Internet. It is. Yeah. TikTok it is
- 1:06:08an extremely popular video sharing app. But did you know it's available in over
- 1:06:12one hundred and fifty countries and it's been translated into seventy five languages. As
- 1:06:16of January twenty twenty three, it's the fifth most popular social network, just
- 1:06:21behind Instagram, despite over one billion videos viewed daily. And it's not behind
- 1:06:29Instagram. The ranking is wrong and how would you correct it? Um,
- 1:06:38it's not the fifth, it's the fourth. You've hit on what's wrong,
- 1:06:46but your correction isn't right. So I'm going to in a moment, Sarah,
- 1:07:01it's the second. No, Maddie, fuck, it's the third.
- 1:07:08No, Stevie, Yes, I'll guess is the first? No? No,
- 1:07:12yes, Caroline point, it's the sixth. Everybody's like it's way closer.
- 1:07:20No, it's actually further behind. Believe it or not, it's behind
- 1:07:24a social network. I've never heard of called wee chat. Yeah, chat
- 1:07:28is it's what everyone in China uses. That is everything. So uh no,
- 1:07:35no, no more need for your controllers. You can put them down.
- 1:07:39It is time for a rare question. For God's sake, Stevie,
- 1:07:44I just want to hear it all more time. All right, let's move
- 1:07:47on. The final question of our game is the rare question. Rare questions
- 1:07:50are exactly like common questions, with two exceptions. They can be worth a
- 1:07:55lot more depending on how much nerd cred you wager, and rare questions are
- 1:08:00always from a different topic than the categories you've had all game long. In
- 1:08:02this case, the category is video games. You'll all write down how many
- 1:08:06of your points you are willing to wager, and then I will read you
- 1:08:11a statement about video games, in which, as always, something is incorrect.
- 1:08:15You'll then write down your answers. If you successfully figure out what's wrong
- 1:08:19with the statement, you'll get the amount of nerd Credu wager back. If
- 1:08:23you also successfully correct the statement, you'll get double the amount of nerd Credu
- 1:08:28wager. If you're wrong, you lose. Your wager. Ties are broken
- 1:08:31in favor of who had the most points going into the rare question. So
- 1:08:34it's not enough to tie Sarah. You need to beat them to win.
- 1:08:39So think carefully on how much you'd like to wager and write down your wagers.
- 1:08:43Now, can I wager more than I have? You have one points?
- 1:08:50What's the ranking right now? So Maddie has one point, Stevie has
- 1:08:55five, Caroline has six, and Sarah has seven and m is there a
- 1:09:01benefit to being in second or third? Note? Only the winner gets the
- 1:09:04pride. You get bragged that you're better than the other ones about it.
- 1:09:12So think carefully on how you'd like to wager, and when you've got When
- 1:09:15everybody's got a wager, go ahead and relax, and I know you're ready
- 1:09:17to go. All set. Okay, everybody's got their wagers in. Here
- 1:09:45is your rare question. Attack and Dethrone God is certainly a popular meme poking
- 1:09:50fun at Fox News's endless Christian panic. But did you know that several role
- 1:09:56playing games literally culminate in a final boss fight again against God. Shinn mcgawmay
- 1:10:01tents A two and Shinn mcgawmay tents A four Apocalypse both feature a final boss
- 1:10:06fight against y HVH, which is the transliteration of God's true name in the
- 1:10:13Hebrew Bible and PlayStation one RPG Zeno Gears features a final boss fight against Dais,
- 1:10:19the creator of all human life on the game's planet. Go ahead and
- 1:10:27write down your answers, remembering to write the correction as well. Ah,
- 1:10:53can you read it again? Sure? Attacking dethrone God is certainly a popular
- 1:10:58meme. Poking fun at Fox News is endless Christian panic. But did you
- 1:11:01know that several RPGs literally culminate in a final boss fight against God? Shouldn't
- 1:11:06mcgamay tens A two and shouldn't macgowmay tents A four Apocalypse both feature a final
- 1:11:12boss fight against y HVH, which is the transliteration of God's true name in
- 1:11:17the Hebrew Bible. And PlayStation one RPG Zeno Gears features a final boss fight
- 1:11:23against Dais, the creator of human life on the game's planet. All right,
- 1:11:45looks like everybody's done or almost. Steve, he's still writing, Maddy's
- 1:11:49still writing. Two. Okay, all right, let's start with Maddie.
- 1:12:01You were in last place. You only had one point. I'm sorry,
- 1:12:03um, how much did you wager? I wagered at all? Oh,
- 1:12:09running point, going big, I'm big, and well, what is wrong?
- 1:12:14It's not Deus, it's Scooby Doo, the true god of all And
- 1:12:17I wrote, I DK, I can, I can't want at this point?
- 1:12:21Okay, very good. I will tell you who who is correct and
- 1:12:26who gets how many points at the end of the pass. Uh Stev you
- 1:12:29were next in line. You had five points? How many did you wager?
- 1:12:31All five? Bob, all five? And what did you say?
- 1:12:35I say, it's not why h VH. I believe it's inverted and it's
- 1:12:42h v h y okay. So next in line is Caroline, who had
- 1:12:50six points. How many did you wager? I wagered them all? Ohoh
- 1:12:55big spenders today. Caroline, what did you say was wrong? And how
- 1:13:00would you correct it? It is not why h VH, it is y
- 1:13:03hwh okay. And lastly, Sarah, you had to lead with seven,
- 1:13:13How many did you wager? Three? Three? I said the exact same
- 1:13:17thing as Caroline. It's not hy h VH, it's y h wh breath
- 1:13:23of life. Yeah okay, so um, I may need to do some
- 1:13:30quick googling. That's awesome, and in fact I will yeah do it up.
- 1:13:44We had a sermon about this in church about a month ago. Are
- 1:13:46you serious? Yeah, Rabbi came and I'm like pretty sure I'm right at
- 1:13:50like that we're right about this. But what if the character is why hbh,
- 1:13:57I guess that's true. I got to read it. They ob but
- 1:13:59it it's like, yeah, that's where a lot of folks get yahweh.
- 1:14:02I know that. Yeah, because Caroline, I wrote the same thing down
- 1:14:05as you. Okay, I'm just telling the listeners. So what I had
- 1:14:11on the card is that Dais isn't actually the final boss fight in zena years.
- 1:14:17He's the second to last boss. So Maddie actually did get what was
- 1:14:23wrong and one or one point, she's up to two. Um. I
- 1:14:30did just double check on Google and either y h VH or y hv WH
- 1:14:36would be correct. So it does not make this statement wrong. Wow,
- 1:14:41Okay, I'm glad I'm wrong because that means what Sarah only wagered to her
- 1:14:46points, which means she still has four, which means she has more than
- 1:14:50Maddie and she has won the game. Congratulations, step Caroline, Stephen.
- 1:14:59Caroline's share the bottom spot on zero. But Maddie, who was in last
- 1:15:02the whole game seconds. Yeah, well done. All right, you won
- 1:15:12so Ordinarily, in real life, nerd kred isn't worth anything, but on
- 1:15:15our show it totally is. So I have some gift cards here, and
- 1:15:19if you're interested, you may have one of these. Representing food, I
- 1:15:24have a twenty five dollars gift card to Denny's or Dunkin Donuts if that's your
- 1:15:29preference. I have a twenty five dollars gift card to Paramount Plus representing TV.
- 1:15:35Didn't get that, hum, I will. If you choose music,
- 1:15:45I will buy you a twenty five dollars gift card of your choice from either
- 1:15:47Apple or the music streaming platform review choice. And lastly, for Internet,
- 1:15:54I will get you a twenty five dollars gift card to Etsy. I have
- 1:16:00to choose the Etsy. Okay, all right, the twenty five dollars gift
- 1:16:04card to Etsy it is. I will get you that. That's not when
- 1:16:08I have physically unfortunately, so I will get you that as soon as i'm
- 1:16:12able. But congratulations on your win. Yeah, I needed that prize because
- 1:16:18because the Etsy prize is tied to Internet, that category is going to be
- 1:16:23removed from the selection for our next game. It will be replaced with video
- 1:16:26games. But that's all my business taken care of. I need to thank
- 1:16:30our players, Maddie and Caroline from the Ultra Hope Girls, thank you so
