- 1:44[SPEAKER_06]: men, women, young kids, older people, I don't want to make them feel bad if I call them older than us, you know what I mean?
- 1:53[SPEAKER_06]: So like, there's, I mean, I think we got people in there all the way from probably like age 19 to 65.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_06]: So if you're looking for like a Browns community that you can really kind of just jump in,
- 2:07[SPEAKER_06]: Once you join, it's like you've been there forever.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_06]: You just jump in and start talking browns, welcome you with open arms.

- 2:13[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody loves it.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_06]: So if you're looking for that kind of thing, you want to be able to talk browns in pretty much like all sports, especially Cleveland Sports or Highest State.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_06]: Pretty much 24, 7, 365 headed join the dogs.com to become an official dog pack number.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_06]: So the first thing I want to kind of talk about tonight, obviously, you know, we had, we had the DC hire.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_06]: Since the last time I've been on, I know Josh has put out some stuff.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_06]: But since the last time that we've all been on here, you know, we've hired the DC and all that good stuff.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_06]: But I think like the most current and maybe like the most heartbreaking thing, at least for from our perspective, a fan favorite of the show.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_06]: And I think of a lot of Browns fans is White Taylor coming out on his Instagram and in saying that
- 2:55[SPEAKER_06]: you know, essentially he wishes it wasn't going this way, but he's not going to be back in Cleveland next year.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I know like his wife is torn up about it.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_06]: We're all huge fans of the tellers, you know, white and Carly, like they've really kind of, they were like our version of Kylie and Jason, you know, uh, maybe not quite as famous nationally, but at least in Cleveland, like,
- 3:18[SPEAKER_06]: Like, they were kind of like Cleveland's, you know, couple.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_06]: And we just love like what Wyatt did for the football team ever since we traded for him.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_06]: And it just kind of sad to see it.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_06]: And this way, I think the writing was on the wall, this splitting time.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_06]: And I think Wyatt would tell you, like, I think he knows that he wasn't necessarily playing up to the same standard.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_06]: He, you know, he had set for himself.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_06]: It just sucks, though, because, I mean,
- 3:44[SPEAKER_06]: He's been a fan favorite, basically, since we traded for him, but we traded for him as a question mark.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_06]: Can this guy step in and be the starting guard for us?
- 3:53[SPEAKER_06]: We don't know what we're getting out of him.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_06]: He didn't really play much in Buffalo from what I remember.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_06]: And just like from day one, we were like, holy crap, who's this white teller guy?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_06]: Just mulling people, just opening up semi truck size holes on the right side of the line.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, since day one,
- 4:08[SPEAKER_06]: It went from like, is this can this guy be the guy to, oh, is this guy our best offensive lineman on the line that has Joel Batonio?
- 4:15[SPEAKER_06]: So this sucks to see why it go.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_06]: It's one of those things where I help wherever he does go in five to six years, whatever it is when he retires.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_06]: I hope they keep their house in Cleveland.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_06]: I hope we see a lot of why it around the browns, once he retires, and it's just kind of like a Cleveland's their home now.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_06]: So that's kind of what I'm hoping, because I'm sad to see him go.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm with you, man.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_08]: Like you said, writing's been on the wall.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_08]: For kind of two seasons now, he's been one of those names that kind of get flooded around when it's, you know, trade deadline, you know, that kind of time.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_08]: Like you said, we're huge fans.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_08]: They sent us a Christmas card when we were just a young, like probably didn't have 100 subscribers podcast.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_08]: Like, I got to meet him, got to picture with him.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_08]: It's still in my main cave over there.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_08]: Just really, really like an awesome guy, just, unfortunately, a sign of the team, we're going young, and we're going cheap, you know, and you see David Nijoku, you see Wyatt Teller now, and potentially like Joel Patoni, you'll also, so it's tough, it's almost like the end of an era that we knew was coming, and now we're just kind of really dealing with it.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, if you kind of look back like you're saying end of an era, and before I get off on this, you mentioned pictures in your man cave.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_06]: I just want to shout out, fatter me over your right shoulder.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's always a remaster.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_08]: Some of them always keep you inspired, bro.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, every time I'm thinking about having that piece of cake, I look over Justin's right shoulder and think, yes, maybe I won't have that piece of cake actually.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_06]: Oh yeah, we're just half.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_06]: It's half, maybe I'll have it.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_06]: But anyways, I just, you know, I saw that in me and be laughed, you know, when you're saying end of an era, it really is like, you kind of like the Baker, Jarvis Chub, Chief, Wyatt Tyler, Joel Batonio, and now it's like, Baker's gone, obviously Jarvis has been gone, you know, Chief is now gone, Chub's gone.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_06]: It's like,
- 6:16[SPEAKER_06]: And I know like it ended with two years of disappointment, but if we really like take a step back, it honestly got, and that's just speaks to the history of the Browns the last 30 years.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_06]: It was the most successful five-year period that any of us, any, you know, the three of us have had in our lives for the Browns.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_06]: I think, go ahead, bro.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_06]: I just, like, I'd never seen the Browns, or, okay, I take that back.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like, adult me has never even seen the Browns
- 6:46[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and we went there twice with this group.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_06]: So it really, I mean, sadly, you know, because we have to define this as an era, because we made a playoffs twice, and even though we had three losing seasons or four losing seasons, it was the best six year span of my adult life for the Browns.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_06]: And to see all these guys now leaving, it does kind of suck.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_07]: It sucks when they're leaving and they want to be here, though, you know, they've expressed that desire to be in Cleveland, Chief was big into, you know, the trade deadline.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_07]: These were the two guys that were, you know, the headline of a lot of trade talk, will they trade teller, will they trade in Joku and then when they were getting asked about in the locker, and they're saying, I hope they don't trade me.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_07]: I want to be here and all this stuff and it just sucks, but
- 7:36[SPEAKER_07]: When those contracts expire and your older and we need to go young and cheap, it's just the way it goes.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_06]: It does suck, but another kind of obviously sad player news to come out this week.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think any of this thought J.O.K would play again, but there was that slight glimmer of hope.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_06]: You heard kind of rumblings out of the corners of the internet, you know, maybe he'd be able to come back and play this year, reports now saying like he's most likely not playing football anymore.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously we're just happy he's okay, you know, like as a person and not just speaking to him as a football player, but it's still sucks because to think about if you could have added a healthy JOK to this defense with Carson and Miles and like, man, what could that linebacker in Devon Bush?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_06]: back Devon Bush.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_06]: What could that linebacker group have looked like with those guys?
- 8:35[SPEAKER_06]: You have Devon Bush and Carson flying around, J.O.K.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_06]: a little undersized, but playmaker just free to just run around and make plays.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_06]: The possibilities with what could have been, had he not been injured.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_06]: Now I guess like the catch 22, that is if he doesn't get injured, do we draft Carson's swishing her?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know because would they have considered linebacker as much of a need to go
- 8:59[SPEAKER_06]: It just sucks for him, you know, football is his entire life in a freak, a freak play, you know, ends his career.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_06]: So it sucks for him, sucks for us as Browns fans who loved watching him play.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's just kind of a sad thing, but at least like he's okay as far as I know, you know, he's not paralyzed or anything like that.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_06]: Like as far as I know, he's going to be able to live a normal life just not playing football, which I know is probably killer, but I guess if you keep
- 9:28[SPEAKER_08]: Yep, you got it right.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_08]: You got it right, man, just health is the most important thing.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_08]: A guy that we love watching play, him and Grant dealt it, like, pre-snap, just watching the things that they used to do, come up and just always on the move and just, I used to love watching just those two pre-snap.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_08]: It's, you know, it's tough and promising like career start and then just to have it end like that.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_08]: But,
- 9:53[SPEAKER_08]: You know, most important thing is he has his health, you know, he'll have the rest of his life and he's going to be beloved by Cleveland fans.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_08]: He just in a short period of time just what he did in Cleveland.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_08]: People were always remember that guy.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_07]: It's crazy because what he was coming off of doing.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, he's still only 26 years old and he hasn't played an over a year, year and a half now.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_07]: And he's so young still and he was already on a trajectory where you could see this guy's easily going to be an all-pro.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_07]: Several years in the field like multiple times over.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_07]: It's going to happen.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_07]: He was just so good and the TFL, like his ability to get behind the line and get guys down on the ground was insane.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_07]: And if you remember like that wild card game in Houston, he was the only guy.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_06]: only got you came to play in that game and he'd freaking came to play so fun to watch everybody else sucked but he was there yeah it sucks but like we said we're at least happy physically you can be able to you know live a normal life
- 10:50[SPEAKER_06]: Now we got to move on.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_06]: It's kind of always like weird.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_06]: How do you transition off of talking about somebody who's career ended to like, well, let's stay upbeat and talk about our new defensive coordinator hired.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know, but so we'll move on.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, this wouldn't news is about what we can have two weeks old now though, but we do find they have a defensive coordinator.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to have a chance for us to all three kind of talk about it.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_06]: How do you guys feel about the hire?
- 11:16[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, it's Rittenberg.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's Mike Wright.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_06]: I want to make sure that we're live, I shouldn't have a name.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, no, it's been a long day for me too, a long weekend.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_06]: Passing game coordinator from the Falcons, they had a good defense, kind of poached a guy away from Kevin, Stephansky, he was on their defensive staff.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_06]: How do we feel about the higher, or do we're liking it?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_06]: Are you guys, I guess I should say this.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_06]: Are you happy, which we already kind of talked about?
- 11:45[SPEAKER_06]: Are we happy that we went outside and didn't retain?
- 11:47[SPEAKER_06]: We weren't able to retain gym shorts.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_08]: I honestly, when they announced a hire, I really didn't know too much about it, just other about him other than like what we had skimmed on.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_08]: You know, for leading up to it, those three days, four days when they kind of threw his name out there.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_08]: From everything I've heard, man, like, I got a highly regarded like smart guy.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_08]: Falcons fans, you know, guy, guys in the discord are saying Falcons fans are kind of freaking out like, hey, they got a good one, you know, in Rutt and Bird.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_08]: but you know he was a linebacker coach for four years with the jets they were I want to say top five all of those years as far as total defense so he's coming with 16 years of like credibility and NFL with you know what he's doing I'm excited you know I know we we had talked last week about you know who would be taking that spot
- 12:36[SPEAKER_08]: The thing that I really, really like is all the guys that kind of showed out on that defense as far as the coaching staff, all pretty much got promoted and got more responsibility.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, he's kind of already saying, hey, you know, leaning on these young guys that excelled and seeing what all they can do, I'm excited about it.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for what I understand is like the front of the defense really isn't going to be changed too much with what he does schematically.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's more so the back end, it's the secondary where
- 13:03[SPEAKER_07]: people that I've been listening to are very excited to see what he can do as far as adding wrinkles and coverages and disguising things and that kind of stuff and what he can do out of that secondary.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_07]: So, you know, he gets his hands on guys like Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to have to add to that group because we're very thin.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_07]: If you take the starters away, the depth is non-existent yet, but
- 13:25[SPEAKER_07]: the top guys are really good and I'd like to because that's the second day how many times we complain about our defense over the last couple of years like just guys getting burnt or you know this out of the other sort of would be nice to be able to marry that back end and what he can do really well with what our front you know seven already do really well.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, is, how do we think is Martin Emerson play?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I was, yeah, I was, I deserved it and it was Achilles, right?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_06]: So like even if he's back this year is almost, it almost is like a wash.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_06]: It almost takes two full years.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_06]: Like how many times do you see where, yes, they can play, but they're definitely not the same.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_06]: And if it's not two full years, it's like the first two months before you really seem like back, you know, athletically where he was before the injury.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_06]: That sucks because like, we all think Martin Emerson's pretty solid corner.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, he's a little bit of a second-year slump, but I think like, we still think he's pretty solid.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_06]: I'm excited to see what we do.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_06]: I'm excited to see how you were talking about with disguising things.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_06]: I think we have a couple of nice pieces in the back and like Campbell and Ward and I'm excited to see what he can do with a guy like Delpit.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_06]: Delpit is a guy that, you know, he's a kind of a chess piece, the way he blitz is, you know, and can like plays kind of just like in the back, just rooms free, makes plays.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_06]: I'm excited to see what he can do to create Delpit.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_07]: and land is secondary was really good last year.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, you think about even the rookie third round rookie Xavier Watts let all rookies with like five interceptions.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, so I think there's definitely some upside to what root and bird can come in here and do with these guys.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_06]: Are we?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_06]: The one thing I saw was their run defense wasn't great.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_06]: I am curious, that's one thing the Browns got to shore up.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_06]: And it's the run defense in between the tackles.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_06]: It seemed like there were times last year where we just got absolutely bullied up front, especially once Collins went out.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, the frickin' titans, we couldn't stop Tony Pollard, you know?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_06]: So, I'm just excited to see how these change.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_06]: I can't wait for this season.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I don't want to, I just excited to see what pieces we add.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess I'm excited for the draft and for agency, but really like I'm at least excited to see camp and just like how they're using these pieces.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_06]: I'll be honest.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know if I 100% trust camp.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_06]: because I think the last couple years, a lot of Clevver media has told us things and then we get to the games and it's like, what the hell were you guys talking about?
- 16:09[SPEAKER_06]: Like, just Sean, you know, all I heard out of every Clevver media member was how this guy is just a freak throws the ball better than any quarterback we've ever had.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_06]: He's just he's clearly the most talented quarterback we ever had.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_06]: Then I watched him step on the
- 16:28[SPEAKER_07]: what is going on just and you know that cowboys game do that's the year talking about going into 2024 just as I go up to the week one opener for the Dallas Cowboys afternoon game we were having a ball the first snap of the game is like
- 16:43[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my god, I think we're gonna suck.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, pretty sure we did that.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_08]: I'm pretty sure we looked at each other and we were like, dang, that was terrible.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_08]: And then it was like that for about four hours or so.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_08]: Except when Dallas had come in on offense and just absolutely torches us on that side.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_08]: So that was a great time.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_06]: That was really, well, it's really crazy.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_06]: But I remember being like, well, Dallas is really good.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_06]: So we got caught off guard by a really, really, really, and then they were like three games.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_06]: they were terrible.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_06]: So, so I don't even know if I trust like media and camp.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_06]: I just, I mean, what is it?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_06]: It's a February 22nd.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_06]: Wake me up when it's, you know, like September 10th or whatever the first game is.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_07]: There's like certain Cleveland media, like Zack Jackson, I find at least definitely from Lashberg, because he was the main person saying like Dylan Gabriel's not it, guys.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_07]: He's not it.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_07]: And then you get the
- 17:39[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, don't game or it looks great out here.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_06]: Come on, no, yeah, it's it's so hard to I feel like they're overly critical about some things and then they just are laughably wrong about other things.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, oh, are you?
- 17:55[SPEAKER_06]: Don't you guys get to be there?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_06]: Let us be there.

- 19:27[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm just excited to see the pieces we can add to this team and then see what the new coaching staff can do because despite what my thoughts were on, should we should be not gonna rid of the previous coaching staff, I'm extremely excited to see what the new staff can do with the team.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_06]: I'm really excited for Todd Monk in and everybody that we've added to this coaching staff.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm just ready for
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: the season.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_06]: I hate all this like hypothetical guess work will they want I just want to see it.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_06]: That's just it's going to be a long six months.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_07]: It is because they got a lot of work to do.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_07]: The new league year starts what March 12th.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_07]: I think free agency and everything and
- 20:08[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to see what they do.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_07]: Justin, I were talking about a little bit of free agency stuff before you got in here, Blake, about the offensive line and all that.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_07]: And I guess we can transition a little bit here, but you've seen where they've been linking the browns of that Rashid Walker, the left tackle from the Green Bay Packers.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_06]: I have in it first, I was like, oh, he's the best rated left tackle or something on the market.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_06]: That's good and then I saw your post about how he's like graded out basically like came Robinson.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, wait a second, is this true?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_06]: I haven't got to verify this, but is he really bad like that?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess it is one of the things where like left tackles don't grow on trees.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_06]: So if he is really, really, really, really good,
- 20:51[SPEAKER_06]: you would think they would keep up.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_06]: Unless they have some like up-and-commer behind them who they do.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_06]: They do.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_08]: They do.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess it makes more sense.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_06]: I guess.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_06]: But um.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think then they maybe they would have traded this, you know, not just let them walk for free if he's really this good.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not going to say here and be like, we shouldn't go get them or I don't know that I don't freaking know the guy, you know, I haven't sat here and breaking down Green Bay Packers film to tell you if he's good or not.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_06]: It would be hard for me to believe he's worse than what we've put out there the last two or three years, but at the same time, I don't want to I don't want to sink a ton of money money into somebody who's marginally better.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_06]: That's my point.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, if we're going to put a ton of money into them, then he's
- 21:42[SPEAKER_06]: I'm fine given him the bag if we're getting tram Williams, you know, and obviously he's kind of like one of one, but if we're getting a top 10 top 15 left tackle give him 20 million a year that I'm perfectly fine with that, but if we're getting a guy who's just barely better than Cam Robinson, then you can't we're already wasting money in enough places.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we already have enough, we're paying people who can't play already.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_06]: We don't need to give a guy who's not going to be that big of an upgrade 20 million a year.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Jake Burns pointed this out on X and he said, Oh, interesting, Rashid Walker was the run Jordan run guy whenever the Browns played the packers.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_07]: I never mind if you're sitting on the sidelines telling his buddies and teammates like, Yeah, he's out there yelling run Jordan run.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that was Rashid Walker.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I don't understand his miles Garrett.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_07]: I got to say that's all so far too.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_07]: But it's still not the best look.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_07]: See, for me, I don't most rather, like, if you're, if you're going to dump a ton of money right away into alignment, I'd rather do.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_07]: Tyler Linderman.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, yes.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_07]: If you get that, because I think he's actually worth that at the set position.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_07]: Now, I know it's not a tackle, but still think how important your center is, especially for a young quarterbacks.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_07]: at the line, you know, calling out things and evaluating what the defense is doing, pre-snap and all that kind of stuff.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_07]: Plus, how important is the center to your run game?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_07]: And that's what this offense wants to do.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_07]: Todd Munkin, everybody he's brought in here.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_07]: It's so focused on establishing the run, fixing the run game, being a dominant run team.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_07]: We'll get yourself a damn good dominant center then and get your tackles in the draft.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_07]: That would be my approach.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_06]: I guess I'll say this.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_06]: It's scary to think you're going to start to rookie tackles.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_07]: It's definitely get one, maybe in the first round and then see how the rest of the draft because I think there's some decent tackles though second round that can be had this year.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_07]: And there's some other guys in free agency.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_07]: It's not just Rashid Walker.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: No, go ahead, Justin.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_08]: All I'm saying with like the offensive line is, you cannot run it back.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_08]: You cannot take, I, if they, if they do this and they, they say, hey, you know, we trust the young guys, we trust Zinter and Whiplier.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_08]: And you know, some of this, Tevin Jenkins, I think is a nice piece that absolutely we can move forward with, but like, for the agent, dude.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, well, we might not be running back anyway.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_08]: Well, so here's the thing is you're you're trusting a lot on a bunch of guys that first off are not proven and what we seem from him hasn't been that great Whiplier maybe not as much.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_08]: He was okay, but I think you're putting a lot of trust into a line that couldn't stay healthy
- 24:16[SPEAKER_08]: And then you're doing it.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_08]: It's the same shit again.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_08]: We're doing the same thing that we've done last two years.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_08]: By week four, I'm telling you, we're going to be seeing JT 11 soon, or I'm loving this and I'm going to.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, just a combination of just basically practice squad guys again.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_08]: And I understand, you know, we have a ton of ton of holes on this team, but you can, I don't know if you can do that.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_08]: You cannot run it back like that.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_08]: It's the root of all of our issues.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_06]: I said this last year, I was like, you can't count on Duan Jones, be your tackle.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_06]: Then we counted on Duan Jones, be a tackle, not lasted not very long.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_06]: It was, I think, Concland, how's that working out?
- 25:02[SPEAKER_06]: What's the story on Concland?
- 25:06[SPEAKER_07]: They have to avoid, they're going to avoid his contract, as soon as the New League year starts.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_07]: All right, so he's gone.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_07]: He's gone.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, there's going to be five new linemen, yes, that's it.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_06]: That's kind of insane.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_07]: There should be, like we were saying, if you're, if you're, DeWan Jones is going to be one of your starting tackles, like just think you're setting yourself up for failure, at least in that position right away.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_07]: I love DeWan Jones, but he cannot be a starter for this team.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_06]: It's one of those things where like you're your swing tackle, you would just have already to start because he's going to be in there and I think it was Burns put out on, I saw him on X.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_06]: He was like, this kind of like love affair that Brownsfields have with Juan Jones from his rookie season.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_06]: Even when healthy the last two years, which hasn't been a ton, it's not been good play.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_06]: you know like he was a pretty good pass blocker his rookie year and we were all and he was a rookie what fifth round record your fourth round record can't remember exactly which one fourth fourth fourth fifth and any it was forced in the first game any did like an amicable amicable job and you know he he owned TJ watt and we're all excited about that
- 26:25[SPEAKER_06]: But his run block and great.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_06]: His rookie year was not good.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_06]: It was pretty bad.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_06]: And then he went into year two overweight.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_06]: You know, a lot of it coming off injury again.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_06]: Can't work out.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_06]: He's already a big dude.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_06]: Play was not where I needed to be injured again.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_06]: I just, I have below the basement expectations for DeWan Jones, if we're being honest.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_06]: It's so.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_06]: And this is one of those things where like, my brain doesn't know what to do about this upcoming brown season, because I hear people, when I hear people say just accept the fact that we're gonna suck for this year, and probably the year after.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like, well, no, you know, we won.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_06]: I always want to like, to be a smart ass and be like, I thought our problem was coaching.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_06]: We should be good now, but then I don't say that and I'll push back and be like, well, on paper, we have the easiest schedule in the league, you know, we have some, we have fan in it, we have judge kids, add a couple linemen, get yourself a two wide receivers and we can at least be competitive, you know, eight wins.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_06]: And then I stop and think like, well, has it ever been done where you've replaced all five starting linemen and then on top of that, both your starting wide receivers,
- 27:36[SPEAKER_06]: And you're starting tight end.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_06]: And you're on your own.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_06]: You're on your own.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_06]: You're on your own.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_07]: You're on your own.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_06]: You're on your own.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like my brain.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_06]: My right brain and my left brain.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_06]: Just like don't know how to handle this.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: You know, because like part of me says, No, the Brown should be able to compete.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe that's just like the optimistic Brown's for you and me though.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, this is our year.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_06]: And then like the logical side of me is like, now they're going to be awful.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_06]: like expected we should have zero expectations for this team this year um so I just don't know I just don't know what to do.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how to think we've never seen Todd Munkin be an NFL head coach before we a lot of these court works cited about the staff but a lot of them are they're in promoted roles you know we've never they've never done that so it's like
- 28:18[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to be an extremely young offensive team with even though Monkin is an old coach and an extremely green coaching staff in terms of they're all doing roles for the first time, you know, at least so it's like, what are expectations for this team.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if I like if I was a computer, I'd probably malfunctioning and just break down smoke.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_07]: Justin, you know, you mentioned Luke Whippler.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I better go.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_07]: I just went through my head and I forgot to say it.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_07]: But he got carded off week 18 at that bangles game.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_07]: So I don't really know exactly the extent of his injury and the recovery timeline, but he might not even be ready for the start of the season.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, we have, like you said, center.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_07]: He was an active most the year because he went.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_08]: And when we saw him, it was bad.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_08]: Like I don't know if you guys remember that.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_08]: Like didn't touch anybody fell over a lot.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_08]: Like, and I'm not talking shit.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just, that's, that's what was on the film.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_08]: That was what the film showed.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_08]: It was, we used to say, man, call a hand, what happened?
- 29:19[SPEAKER_08]: You know, what the hell happened here?
- 29:22[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_08]: It's not great.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_08]: The depth is really bad.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_06]: Adam says, how good do we really need to be to take the AFC North after this coaching change around the division?
- 29:34[SPEAKER_06]: I understand that argument.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_06]: I would I will say then is
- 29:39[SPEAKER_06]: roster for roster, we're probably at least on one side of the ball, as it sits today, we're still the worst roster in the division.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_06]: Our defense of roster is solid, but as good as our defense of roster is, that's how bad our offensive roster is.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we currently don't have a starting offensive lineman on the team, at least that we're not projecting.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_06]: That's wild.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_06]: Jerry Judy is still on the team, but none of us
- 30:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, he should be he should probably be your I mean if if you're really good team Jerry Judy's probably your three I mean If we're being honest if you're really good team Jerry Judy's probably not on it, but You know, but you know, you know He's definitely not your one so
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, so I don't know.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_06]: We'll see, I just don't know how to, I'll be curious to see what the chat thinks, like expectations wise.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_06]: I saw it coming here, this says, all he wants for his birthday is a brown super boy, do you think we'll have it on the, not, not this birthday.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_06]: We did it.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_06]: Not this one.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_06]: So, who is birthday?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_06]: I forget who the comment was.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't matter.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_06]: It's fine.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_06]: It's fine.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_08]: It's not going to happen.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_06]: So, well, do we want to do a quick commercial then come back and get into these voicemails?
- 30:57[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, let's do that.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_07]: This episode is partnered with Kalshi.

- 31:20[SPEAKER_07]: With Kalshi the objective is either yes or no.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_07]: Will Shidorah Sanders be the Browns week one starting quarterback?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_07]: Will Fernando Mendoza be the first overall pick in the draft?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_07]: Will the Browns make their pick at six or will they trade out of that spot?
- 31:33[SPEAKER_07]: And in other sports, will the Cavs win the NBA Finals?
- 31:36[SPEAKER_07]: You can put your money on these predictions and more with Calshy.

- 32:42[SPEAKER_06]: Well, before we get into a voicemail, there's a comment here I want to talk about.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_06]: Said something about, uh, we're not really that bad off, but we're all negative about every guy in the roster, but as if players can't improve over the off season.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_06]: Well, one, we've been Browns fans for our whole life, so the negativity is warranted.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if you know the Browns history the last 30 years, but two, it's not like we're talking about rookies, you know, Jerry Judy's of that.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_06]: I don't expect him to all of a sudden turn into, you know, Jamar Chase over this offseason.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_06]: Zinter has been the league now for what two years.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_06]: Two years, two years, can't get on the field.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_06]: All the guys that were, all these linemen, Joe Betonio, we love them, but he's always probably going to retire.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_06]: Jack Constance is not recovering.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_06]: He's also probably going to retire.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_06]: I would imagine once they've avoided his contract, he's not going to have many suitors.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_06]: And he's going to, I would imagine, retire.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_06]: You know, White Tyler will probably, is probably going to get another job.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_06]: He'll probably get to go.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_06]: But,
- 33:41[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I want to know, like, what player that we're talking negatively about?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think is all the thing going to turn around?
- 33:45[SPEAKER_06]: Be really good.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_06]: The Juan Jones is now going to be going into what your three or your four or your four can't stay healthy.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_06]: Like, so no, if we look at the historical data,
- 33:56[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we're making our predictions based off things that we've seen with these players.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_06]: You know, obviously, people can improve, but I'm not expecting Jerry Judy to show up and just be, you know, Justin Jefferson this year.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_06]: That's just not going to happen.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_07]: Well, Stacey's got a voice, and we'll hear about the roster, she'll let's hear what she has to say.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hey guys, how's it going?
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I just got done watching the roster review episode.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I'm a little bit worried about the state of this team.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that being said, if the Browns do decide to take a defensive player at six, whether that be a Caleb Downs or a David Bailey, do we feel like we can really be upset?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Grant Delpit is getting older, obviously, and miles is too, and it just seems like we have a lot more holes on the defense than I might have originally thought.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, I just wanted to get you guys just thoughts on that, and then also, I still feel like at six, we do wide receiver no matter what, but with the holes we have everywhere, I can see the browns going defense for sure.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: Devon Bush needs to be signed as soon as possible.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: I also don't know how you guys feel about it, but I really don't mind a re-sign of Ration Jenkins.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he got better kind of as the year went on.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I wouldn't mind that.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: I am interested to see how a free agency goes.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: And for the love of God, can we please sign the lender bomb?
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: And at least another offensive starting line, please.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Andrew Barry, and he has a lot of work to do after seeing all these players and becoming free agents at the same time, and honestly, I wouldn't mind this being Andrew Barry's last year, pending what he does, but seriously, like how did you let this happen?
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone on the teams of free agent?
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: Ridiculous.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: Go Browns.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's 32 expiring contracts right now.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_07]: It's a lot.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_06]: It's a lot.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_06]: the DW thing didn't work, so we're biting the bowl if, you know, we're gonna, it's gonna be a total reason.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_06]: You don't just accidentally have 32 expiring contracts.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's not like, you know what I mean?
- 36:04[SPEAKER_06]: You could say what you want about his talent evaluation, whatever, but he's not an idiot.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's not like you woke up, yesterday was off.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_06]: 30, oh man, we're, I didn't see that coming.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_06]: This was, this was planned, you know.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_06]: taking defense at number six.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_06]: That is the one thing she kind of talked about.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing tells me the Browns are gonna go defense at six.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_06]: They wanted to find an offensive coach, A.B.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_06]: has talked about the offense is gonna be what gets a majority of the resources in this off season.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_06]: That's what needs the most work.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think you can say all that and do all that and then be like, okay, we're taking a defensive player at six.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_06]: That I just, I think the writing is on the wall.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_06]: It's either an offensive player at six
- 36:49[SPEAKER_06]: player.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think that's most likely for sure, but draft night boy won't that be something if we're sitting there and they come out and they go defensive line or something.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to, I'm going to put this out there in the world now.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_06]: I will try not to overreact at our pick and our draft is in general until the whole draft is done.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_06]: Because I learned my lesson the hard way last year about how upset we got on our live and how upset I was when we first took Carson and instead of going offensive, we first pick up a second round and then it's like, oh, at the end of our draft, I was like, man, we freaking killed this draft.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_06]: It just wasn't what I was hype in myself up for in that first round and I just had a meltdown.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_06]: So I try my best and putting it out there now.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to try to just react to the entire draft.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_06]: Not the first pick or just one pick here and there.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_06]: So what was another thing she said in there?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, Linda Baum, I think I don't think you can start.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_06]: even four rookies, you know, even three rookies on your offensive line is a lot.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_06]: I think you probably got to add a center garden tackle and then infre agency and then you can draft to or something along those.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think you can start to two rookies.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_06]: If you want to get two rookie tackles, if you want to draft a tackle and then draft a guard and then add a
- 38:20[SPEAKER_06]: And then they can be interspersed in their according to their positions.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_06]: I just don't think, I mean, I just don't think you can put four rookies out there or even five, you know, five rookies one good luck hitting on five starters.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and one draft at one, you know, it won group one position group and it's just
- 38:41[SPEAKER_06]: It's too unlikely.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_06]: It's just not going to happen.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_06]: So free agency is going to be, I'm extremely curious what direction they go in for agency.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_06]: Once this new year starts, and you start hearing some of these rumors about what they're going to be doing.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'm Kenny Max actually got a voice in the hair about free agency.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_05]: You'll guys it is Kenny Mac and big farewell to Wyatt, Teller and Dave in the Joker, but I'm surprised like people think by reading comments that these are bad news, like while I really appreciate what those guys done, I sad to see them go, I mean, they weren't
- 39:17[SPEAKER_05]: good the last two years, especially in the joke who kind of dropped off a bit.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_05]: I know his blocking game was great, but man, you know, guys with teams don't lost forever and they've been there for a while, but a big thing in calling about his interview there in hearing that he's a magic man, and we're gonna sign all these people and guys, I don't think that's gonna happen.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_05]: I think you just swallow that $80 million
- 39:44[SPEAKER_05]: Get them off the books as fast as possible before this new stadium comes about and I think we're going to get about $60 million a cap space that's about it And you're going to get about five to eight stars out of the mid tier free agency markets So don't expect anything big after that guys.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_05]: It is literally just draft ERFAs RFAs
- 40:09[SPEAKER_05]: and UDFAs and that's what's going to shape out our team and I think that's as good as it's going to get.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_05]: So tell me guys what you think but there's a lot of holes to fill and there's going to be a lot of young guys and what I'm hearing right now and what I've put together from the pressures is that they've got momentum and is created to develop young guys tell me what you think I'm out.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_07]: The only say this real quick, Kenny, I've been talking to Kenny a little bit over Texan.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_07]: He's very adamant that the Brown should just eat the $80 million cap hit for Deshawn Watson this year.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_07]: And because everybody else I listen to is saying, well, they're going to restructure him.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_07]: They can save $30 million added cap space back by restructuring.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_07]: So I talked to Jack Duffin.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_07]: And I just asked him, I said, Jack, are they restructuring to Sean?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_07]: Is there any benefit to just take in the 80 million this year or not?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_07]: Do you need to say no?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_07]: They have to restructuring.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_07]: So that would be very stupid to just take the 80.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_07]: Like, so from this point, and I trust Jack on that.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_06]: I guess here's my thing is if they restructure what is that I don't know enough about this kind of stuff I like what what point like how far do we get to kick the can down the road?
- 41:20[SPEAKER_06]: You know like 277 you know what I mean like that I guess that's my thing and like where I guess Kenny's coming from to is like a it's some point You just gotta get rid of it
- 41:30[SPEAKER_06]: You know, like you can't just keep, you, especially because you're going to be healthy, you know, so you can't just keep kicking the can down the road and having him hanging out as a cloud over the organization for three, four or five more years.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_06]: However long it is, you decide to do this.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_06]: So, so I guess I don't know enough about that to sit.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_07]: So the big thing as far as I understand the $80 million cap hit this year, if they do not restructure that, then they don't set themselves up to be able to take him as a post-June first cut in 2027 next off season, which allows them to split his remaining dead cap over two seasons.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_07]: So you would really be screwing yourself this year and next year by not restructuring because then you can lower that extra bit this year next year and the year after.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_08]: So I know we've talked.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_08]: I know we've talked about this too, but do you guys kind of just wish they would just eat this like Denver did and just kind of like just move forward because then you know what I mean like while just did you black out for the last five minutes.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't hear that.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_08]: Well, you know, I'm just, that, she's us, okay.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_08]: We had, we should do that then, I guess.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_06]: No, it was just funny.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_06]: So basically Jack Duffen said, if we don't restructure him, we'd be dicking ourselves for basically three years.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, okay, cool.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_06]: So, in, in I said, yes, you know, how long can we do it for?
- 42:56[SPEAKER_08]: He's, okay.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you for your capping that five minutes for me.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_08]: We're doing it live.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_07]: Thanks for watching the show, Justin.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_08]: No problem.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_08]: Thanks, guys.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, man.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_07]: Well, here, let's we actually the other Justin here.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_07]: We've got to have always know about the drugs.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_04]: You're friendly neighborhood, France, Dan out here in Jersey.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_04]: I hope everyone's feeling better, I know even out sick a little bit with the voice that we all went through it out here too, me and my wife and son, so it's not been fun, but finally got it kicked, spring around the corner.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_04]: Combine start non-monday all good stuff to look forward to will be summer before we know it Just want to chime in here.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: I've been I've been looking at a few things and I'm still sticking with it Want to keep putting my voice out there that I think with our second pick we still need to go wider seever and That pick which I I'm strongly believe one of these guys will be available
- 43:55[SPEAKER_04]: Cardinal T would be number one and a Jordan Tyson would be number two.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_04]: The guy can just catch the ball So that should be what our first pick it you know at number six and then our second pick in the first round should be alignment my order goes fan in freely Out of Georgia and then Kton Proctor one of those three guys.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_04]: I believe will be available and if they are that should be our second pick I mean if we can end up with you know Cardinal T
- 44:23[SPEAKER_04]: and freely with our second pick in the first round that would be great.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_04]: We'd be looking solid going into the second round.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_04]: Go Browns.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think the brown.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I think we all want receiver at six.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but really if the browns come out of those first three picks with some combination of two wide receiver is lime and two lime and wide receiver like and they're all high level you can't go wrong.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_06]: Those are clearly that I'm almost just go wide receiver lime and wide receiver lime and wide receiver lime until the end of the track itself, you know, don't even.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_06]: pick any other.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe around three or four, pick a corner, you know.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_06]: So, um, like, and just that be your draft strategy.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, obviously, I'm a big card now.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_06]: Tate fan.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I think Jordan Tyson is like really, really, really good, but I'm just super nervous about anybody with injury history.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, for the Browns, because if they have injury history, it is going to show up if they come to Cleveland.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_06]: It's just, I don't know why God hates us.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_06]: Um,
- 45:22[SPEAKER_06]: Putty does, you know, and if this guy's had a spring tone in his life and it's never been an issue since he did it when he was a toddler, he's gonna miss half a rookie mini camp with a spring tone.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_06]: That toes get a spring.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, you know, it's just, it just seems like that's it may be, you know, maybe I'm being stupid because I'm just a skeptical Browns fan, but if you've been watching this team long enough, you know, you just know that's how it works with this team.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_06]: Anytime they take a chance with somebody like that, it never works out.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying I'm mad if they go Tyson, but just, it just is scary to me.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_06]: The Browns for enemy is scared to do that.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_07]: I will be nervous if they go Tyson.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_07]: I'll be happy.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_07]: I'll be like, yeah, we got a really good, you know, high level prospect at why you're silver, but I'm going to be so freaking nervous.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_08]: I'm okay with Tate at six also.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_08]: I really, I really am very excited about McIleman.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_08]: I think McIleman, I would be okay with that at six.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_08]: I, everything I watch on him, and he is very exciting.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_08]: He, I'm excited to see what his measurables are at the bottom line, because he, he's on the smaller side, but he plays way bigger than that.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_08]: He, uh, he's kind of a go get a receiver, and then his, like, route, running, like, start and stop, all that.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_06]: So I says that my car lemon is 5-11, it's 5-11-195 pounds, so he's put together, but
- 46:49[SPEAKER_06]: the five hundred so if he's listed at five eleven at u.s.e.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_06]: what is he five nine ten yeah you know um is so it's like my whole life we've had these guys and again i'm not saying he's not all he's not very good and i'm not saying if we don't we take might be mad i just like give me give me a six two or six three guy who can run rouse and go up and catch the ball
- 47:10[SPEAKER_06]: You know, um, again, I don't think they can necessarily go wrong with any of these three to maybe top four guys, but there's just things about About them that scare me with like Tyson and lemon Maybe I'm a little bit of a house state home where there's not much that scares me about carnal tape I guess he did make some couple games at the injury last year I did feel like they were more precautionary like the buck guys were just kind of stealing everybody and you would have played if you know it was an important game, but
- 47:39[SPEAKER_06]: You know, they got it, I just, I just want to guy who's like, just a dominate wide receiver.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we've talked about this.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care that Cardinal Tate was never the number one wide receiver on its college team.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_06]: Well, good luck.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_06]: You know, when your college team is put out guys like Marvin Harrison and Jeremiah Smith and Chris Alave and Garrett Wilson and like, you know, not all of it.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_06]: Not everybody can be the number one.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_08]: Did it matter in LSU with Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase?
- 48:09[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, or uh, you know, you in a hot, a mech egg boooka.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he seems to be doing okay.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_06]: He's all right.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_06]: JSN, you know, solid.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_06]: They're all pretty decent.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_06]: Think about how he was with the Jimbo was the three.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, just wasn't Terry McLean was never a top option at Ohio State.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_07]: He was a good receiver, but he was like the third guy.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I watch the film and the Colonel Taken play my biggest thing about Ohio State receivers at this point is for the most part you take them to the NFL and they play well.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, and like Garrett Wilson is in Crystal Lobby haven't even had good quarterback play in there and they're good.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_06]: Good.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, the closest thing to a bus so far at Widershewer is probably Marvin Harris and based on expectations, I just don't know if they were using him, you know, in any kind of way that is beneficial to his skill set, so because he started to play a little bit better when they had when Jacobi Persec came in and played, so I don't know, there's just something about
- 49:09[SPEAKER_06]: the the hottest day of receivers coming out.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_06]: Just take them.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_06]: Just don't overthink it.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_06]: Just turn in the card.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_06]: And here's the thing I can at least tell this front office.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_06]: If you take Cardinal, take it six.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_06]: all of Ohio is going to be happy.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_06]: And nobody's going to be mad at you.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_06]: If he doesn't pay it out, nobody's going to hold that against you.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_06]: That's that's basically like his risk free of a pick as you can get at least in terms of a PR relations.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_06]: Because there is an a single person in Ohio probably that is going to be mad that you turned in the card for a Cornell date.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_07]: So yeah, and I hate seeing this stuff for people like all well six is just too high to take him That you should take him at nine like what so three picks if you think he's that good of a player you Damn what number you're at just take him take the player.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's not really a reach
- 49:56[SPEAKER_06]: No, we need a receiver, and he's the best one.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care if we were taking him in one.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I got it.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_06]: That's your biggest need, and he's the best one.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_06]: Get him on your team.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care what it takes.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_06]: Like that, that to me is that's stupid.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_06]: Like, because so much like that draft positioning.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_06]: That's just all made up for TV.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so we have stuff to talk about.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_06]: Get it, just getting your guys.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_06]: That's the most important thing.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't matter where you get them.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_06]: Get them.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_07]: This episode is brought to you by Bauden Sports.

- 50:41[SPEAKER_07]: But hey, it's true.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_07]: Baseball, softballs, footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, you name it.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_07]: And Bauden has engineered the highest standard sports balls available.

- 51:38[SPEAKER_07]: This season, bought in sports.com slash dogs.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_06]: So, we got one more thing I wanted to talk about before we wrapped this up again, you know, nine minutes or so.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_07]: I do have one of those ways, man, but, well, oh, God, God, God, God, you sure you want me to do that quick?
- 51:53[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, it speaks to what we're talking about here tonight.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, boys, how's that?
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here in El Paso, just saw the news about Tyree Kill being released from Miami Dolphins, I have to wonder, you know, I know we've talked about draft military series instead of signing free agency amount of money that comes with and all that, but I do
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: F. That makes him a little bit more available for a cheaper price.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a one year prove it deal.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_02]: Is that some talent that we want to put in our wide receiving core in addition to whatever we draft?
- 52:27[SPEAKER_02]: You got to wonder with the new coach and his ability to adapt to people's strengths.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Tyre Kills got a lot of strengths.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I know I'd rather have Tyre Kill on my team than drafting a 510 wide receiver out of college personally.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because at least I know what I'm gonna get with Tyre Kill.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: But just want to get you guys a thoughts on, you know, a free agent like that, sitting in the market, off of an injury, stricken season, you know, is that a contract that we entertain?
- 52:57[SPEAKER_02]: Or do we just draft?
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: and and build up our wide receiving core that way because we've talked a lot about you know, late draft picks and certain wide receivers from smaller schools, but at least with Tyre Kale you know what you're getting and you can probably get it for a reasonable price, but I want you guys to start on it.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_07]: So Tyre Kale real quick for everybody's 31 years old and the injury Adam was talking about left knee dislocation multiple torn ligaments including his ACL.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_07]: That was the end of September.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so just on this what I'll say is like if you add Tyre killed to this roster Yeah, your roster is way better, but also you are gonna pay a crap ton of money He's gonna he's gonna want to get paid the thing is to is I think he's dirty.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_08]: No Not some all easy.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, he's 31 coming off that Bad injury.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yep, and he's going back to the chiefs on a team friendly deal
- 53:56[SPEAKER_08]: I just, I don't think he ends up in Cleveland.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean?
- 53:59[SPEAKER_08]: Especially.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think he ends up in Cleveland and then like the pie receiver like free agents, lot of old dudes, lot of guys that don't fit the bill for what we're trying to do.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_07]: So 30-20 is actually just about to turn 32 in like a week.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't think he's going to get some huge bag based on the age and the injury history, the injury plus I mean, this year and the year before, kind of not been as great.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_06]: So, I don't want to say he's a headache, but there's just always like a little bit of something when you have Tyreek.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_06]: I think he's a good teammate, but he's also got some off the field things.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_06]: I think like,
- 54:40[SPEAKER_06]: know that the Browns maybe don't need to necessarily have to deal with based on other recent signings in the last five years.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so I would stake clear from Tyre Kill because that does kind of segue us into other names I've heard AJ Brown.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_06]: I know Josh is very much out on AJ Brown.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_06]: What about you, Justin?
- 55:03[SPEAKER_06]: I like AJ Brown.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_06]: I think he's very talented.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_08]: I'm saying that the proposed cost.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, which is 22 correct.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_08]: 24.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_08]: 20.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_08]: So I just feel like we have too many needs.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_08]: Like, don't be wrong, you add AJ Brown.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_08]: He immediately is your wide receiver one.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_08]: And you have a safety net for your young quarterback.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_08]: It's just too many pieces, I think.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's just too.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_08]: What's the point of having AJ Brown for two or three years?
- 55:33[SPEAKER_08]: It won't matter, AJ Brown has the ad decoy on every play basically because we'll never be able to get the ball off.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_06]: I guess here's my thing is if you're going to take a wide receiver at 24, why not just trade up for AJ Brown.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_07]: Do you know what his contract is?
- 55:51[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, I don't care, okay, they make the money, I mean, the money, it's like, how you know what I mean, like, the money that's there is the one thing, you know what I mean?
- 56:03[SPEAKER_06]: Like, oh, there's no way they can ever, I mean, even we've got to shine, like the saints.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_06]: they can't get to Sean.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_06]: They're in cap L, like 18 minutes later, they just freed up $800 million to potentially sign to Sean Watson.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_06]: You know, like, so it's like one of those things where if they want them, it'll work in the book somehow.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how it will, but it'll work in the book somehow.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_07]: First of all, he's a 40, almost $44 million dead cap hit to the Eagles if they trade him this year.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_07]: So it's not, I mean, he's not going to happen.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_07]: But then he's a $23 million cap hit for the new team this year.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_07]: Then 22 next year, 27 the year after that, 29 the year after that.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_07]: And 53, five years from now on, 2030, when he wouldn't even be on the team anymore, just his contract.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_07]: I just, to me, I look at it, I'm like, there's no way.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_07]: for me, they're sad.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_06]: Based on, especially the Eagles probably aren't going to swallow that, I will say this in terms of talent-wise, his dip in production, I think has a lot more to do with.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_06]: I think the Eagles' offense is putrid.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_06]: Their offense is like...
- 57:09[SPEAKER_06]: Brown's level bad at times, but with Jalen Hurts and Sake Juan Barclay in a top five offensive line in AJ Brown and Devontates Smith and Dallas got it.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, like there's no excuses for how inept their offense was, I think I don't think Nick Sieryani is like a good coach at all.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think if they don't play well this year, he'll get fired.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_06]: You know, despite
- 57:31[SPEAKER_06]: like a 70% win percentage in a super bowl.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_06]: If Nick Serianic gets fired, well, anybody hire him as a head coach.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_07]: I saw who got hired this cycle, I'm sure somebody would.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_06]: I think a lot of people think that he is propped up big time by coordinators.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_06]: Like, and he's just kind of a tool.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not saying for sure that Nick Seriani would immediately get hired if he was fired this coming season.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_06]: That's my guess that's my hot take.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_07]: So even as coordinators, like, haven't they had a new offensive coordinator every season he's been there?
- 58:08[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, I didn't know I at least the last two or three because yeah, it's like they just keep that to revolving door.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_07]: They just can't find anybody.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_06]: So I think the different production has a lot to do with that.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_06]: I still think he's like a super solid player.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_06]: To me, it's like I would trade for him if you can make your work monetarily and all that stuff.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_06]: Based depending on what your expectations were for the season is your GM.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_06]: Do you think if you add a j brown?
- 58:32[SPEAKER_06]: Do you have the the idea in the plan that you're gonna add enough pieces to be good this year?
- 58:37[SPEAKER_06]: If that's the case then you okay add a j brown if you think you're still two years away from being good three years away from being good then no you don't add a j brown because it's 28 years old
- 58:48[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and by the time you're good, he's going to be 31 years old and do for another contracting, and it's like, oh, what do we do?
- 58:54[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess it all depends on what Andrew Barry thinks the timeline for this team is, and Todd Monk thinks the time, if they think they're going to add enough pieces and free agency in the draft, if they're going to compete this year for the division, then I had to have no problem with them trading 24 for AG Brown.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_06]: If they think this year is a wash and potentially next year, and we're in 2028, 2029 to be competitive,
- 59:14[SPEAKER_06]: Then I don't think you you make that move.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_06]: It just wouldn't make it.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_06]: Why have them here for no reason right so I just think it depends on on what your timeline is
- 59:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, and that's what I think the timeline is.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_07]: It's a couple of years out and they've already said they're going to get younger.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_07]: You don't go after a 29-year-old receiver at that kind of cap space, cap hit if you want to go younger.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_07]: Just get the 20, if you're going to take a wider receiver with 24, take the 21-year-old wider receiver, you know, what, maybe it's Denzel Boston.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_07]: You know, your big body-doubt-side receiver who could become a J-Brown.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_07]: And by the time you're good, he's 23-24, hitting that prime, stride of a wider receiver career.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_07]: I'd rather go that route just with the state of this roster and the money and just we need to actually start getting our own receivers.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_07]: The only way Andrew Barry's been able to get any production out of that unit is by trading for guys.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_07]: Please, just trap the good teams.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_07]: They get their wide receivers in the draft.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_07]: That, well, we're not one of those good teams.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_07]: No, we're not.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_07]: I'd like to be one day, so Justin can cut his beard.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, guys Justin said he's not cutting his beard until the Browns win the Super Bowl I say he's gonna be buried with a six-foot-long beard That's true story.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_06]: Not doing it.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_06]: It'll be a little bit of an early grave because he'll trip on it going down the stairs and break his neck
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_06]: 40 years from now.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's just going to ride dive.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_06]: So.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_06]: But did we have any more voicemails that we all done?
