- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news, So now you'll find out
- 0:03Speaker 1: what it all means. Hey smarts amone on seven tenor.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Hey, hey Friday, that's the good news. The first big
- 0:17Speaker 2: spring weekend coming up. We got a lot to get
- 0:19Speaker 2: to today. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to
- 0:21Speaker 2: the TSA, we'll get to the ice, We'll get to Schumer,
- 0:25Speaker 2: we'll get to Mom, Donnie, and a whole lot more
- 0:28Speaker 2: coming up. We'll get to the disaster at city Field.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Hear that I almost said Shay again, Yeah, the disaster
- 0:37Speaker 2: at Chase city Field, city Field, the attempt to sing
- 0:41Speaker 2: the national anthem. We'll get to that coming up. We'll
- 0:43Speaker 2: get to Paul McCartney and a whole lot more just ahead. So, boy,
- 0:49Speaker 2: the President did a lot of talking yesterday. They had
- 0:51Speaker 2: a cabinet meeting. He let the press come in. He
- 0:54Speaker 2: spoke at length, just endlessly, endlessly talk to the press.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Let him ask questions, you know where. So he used
- 1:00Speaker 2: to Biden with this one press conference every four years
- 1:04Speaker 2: and only two questions and their handpicked and the answers
- 1:07Speaker 2: are written out for him, and he reads the answers.
- 1:09Speaker 2: So to see a president just ad lib about everything
- 1:12Speaker 2: and anything and then he called goes in on the
- 1:14Speaker 2: five last night, the five highest rated show on Fox TV,
- 1:19Speaker 2: not for ten minutes, for the whole show. The whole
- 1:21Speaker 2: show was President Trump just talking at great length. He
- 1:24Speaker 2: revealed a lot of important things about Iran, about other matters.
- 1:31Speaker 2: What was the gift he had referred to, this gift
- 1:34Speaker 2: that Iran gave him that encouraged him. They gave him
- 1:37Speaker 2: a gift. Well, it was ten tankers that were allowed
- 1:41Speaker 2: through the states of Horn Moose. Now they were friendly
- 1:44Speaker 2: tankers to Iran, but they were allowed to go through.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So ten tankers, that's a lot of oil. They came
- 1:50Speaker 2: through the straits of Horror Moose. So it's slowly but
- 1:53Speaker 2: surely getting fixed. Win Cough and his team are still
- 1:57Speaker 2: negotiating with Iran. They do it through a third party,
- 2:00Speaker 2: They do it through Pakistan, and they do it through Turkey.
- 2:02Speaker 2: But negotiations are taking place. Here's Wick coffee.
- 2:05Speaker 3: We have strong signs that this is a possibility and
- 2:09Speaker 3: if the deal happens, it will be great for the
- 2:12Speaker 3: country of Iran, for the entire region and the world
- 2:15Speaker 3: at large.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how he's supposed to talk. When you're official,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you're supposed to talk very formally, strong signs that it
- 2:22Speaker 2: may occur. But if you're Donald Trump, you say it otherways.
- 2:25Speaker 4: They are begging to work out a deal. I don't
- 2:29Speaker 4: know if we'll be able to do that. I don't
- 2:31Speaker 4: know if we're willing to do that. They should have
- 2:33Speaker 4: done that four weeks ago. They should have done it
- 2:36Speaker 4: two years ago.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, the Trump approaches different. Yes, we're in talks with
- 2:41Speaker 2: the Trump approach. They're begging. They're begging. We may not
- 2:44Speaker 2: do it. I don't know, we may not do it.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But he is sending I think ten thousand troops there.
- 2:51Speaker 2: There's twenty thousand more troops on the way. He's sending
- 2:54Speaker 2: a thousand paratroopers over there. Now, if you watch the
- 2:57Speaker 2: crazy Democratic talking heads, of course, obviously it's a ground war.
- 3:01Speaker 2: It's definitely a ground war coming. No, not at all,
- 3:04Speaker 2: not at all. One of the main points of Trump
- 3:08Speaker 2: negotiating is create total uncertainty, total confusion. Give the enemy
- 3:14Speaker 2: a million mixed signals so they have no idea what
- 3:16Speaker 2: you're gonna do next. That's one reason you send these troops.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's one reason you send paratroopers. You just try to
- 3:21Speaker 2: confuse the hell out of the enemy. So they have
- 3:24Speaker 2: absolutely no idea what you're gonna do. Now, the other
- 3:28Speaker 2: problem is it does the same thing to us, and
- 3:30Speaker 2: now we're all totally confused that we don't know what
- 3:32Speaker 2: he's gonna do, but he knows what he's gonna do. Drones.
- 3:35Speaker 5: The drones two are way down. But the reason they're
- 3:38Speaker 5: down is they go one way. They don't come back
- 3:42Speaker 5: because for the most part we're shooting them down. But
- 3:44Speaker 5: we also are able to We've really done tremendous damage
- 3:48Speaker 5: to the places where they make them.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Yeah, now we knew they had drones. These are serious drones.
- 3:53Speaker 2: These are like unmanned drones. They can go one thousand miles,
- 3:56Speaker 2: they can do all kinds of stuff, very high tech drones.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Now we thought they had some, but we didn't realize
- 4:03Speaker 2: how many. They had an incredible inventory of drones, which
- 4:07Speaker 2: surprised us. Tens of thousands of these drones, and we
- 4:12Speaker 2: do shoot them all down. Once in a million years,
- 4:15Speaker 2: one gets through, but we shoot them all down, so
- 4:17Speaker 2: they're useless against us. Now. The only catch is the
- 4:21Speaker 2: drone costs thirty thousand. The missile we shoot it down
- 4:24Speaker 2: with costs about a million. So every time we shoot
- 4:27Speaker 2: one down and it's costing us about a million bucks. Hey,
- 4:30Speaker 2: the shutdown, it looks like it's going to come to
- 4:33Speaker 2: an end. He spoke about that we're not going to let.
- 4:35Speaker 6: The Democrats get away with this stuff, and people are
- 4:38Speaker 6: wise to them, so they need to end the shutdown
- 4:42Speaker 6: immediately or we'll have to take some very drastic measures.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Now this is yesterday, and yesterday there was a meeting
- 4:49Speaker 2: Capitol Hill, meeting Republicans meeting with Chuck Schumer who showed
- 4:53Speaker 2: up twenty minutes late, infuriating everybody, and the Republicans began
- 4:58Speaker 2: to yell at Chuck Shu Humer about what's going on.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You know you have he's all upset. You know, he
- 5:05Speaker 2: doesn't want ICE to do a thing. You got illegals
- 5:08Speaker 2: here who are murdering people. He had this horrible murder
- 5:11Speaker 2: in Chicago, this young college student from Yorktown Heights just
- 5:15Speaker 2: executed by an illegal migrant. Then he had this eighty
- 5:20Speaker 2: three year old veteran who was killed by an illegal.
- 5:25Speaker 2: These are the people you want to get out of
- 5:26Speaker 2: the country. You want them picked up and taken out.
- 5:29Speaker 2: That's what ICE does. And they were yelling at check
- 5:33Speaker 2: you you got to agree to fun tsa, we got
- 5:35Speaker 2: to do this. You gotta do something about these illegals.
- 5:38Speaker 2: They're yelling and screaming, and Schumer just walked out. Schumer
- 5:41Speaker 2: just left. He didn't want to hear it. He ran
- 5:43Speaker 2: out of the meeting. He sat for just two minutes,
- 5:45Speaker 2: ran out and slammed the door. It's unbelievable, you know.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And then they were yelling at them, you want to
- 5:53Speaker 2: negotiate on federal warrants, start negotiating on sanctuary cities and
- 5:56Speaker 2: detainer requests and all of that. So it looked bad
- 6:01Speaker 2: that he wouldn't even listen to this. He just ran out,
- 6:04Speaker 2: slammed the door. Schumer's office put out a statement that
- 6:11Speaker 2: just trying to cover up this matter. Senator Schumer is
- 6:13Speaker 2: glad the NYPD quickly arrested the perpetrator and believes he
- 6:16Speaker 2: should face swift justice and severest punishment possible under the law. Well,
- 6:21Speaker 2: that's deporting him. This is the this is the illegal
- 6:27Speaker 2: who shoved this eighty three year old veteran off a
- 6:29Speaker 2: subway track into the train, killed him. So Schumer just
- 6:34Speaker 2: looking ridiculous on this. Now here's the problem. Congress is
- 6:36Speaker 2: now going on spring break. Yeah, they have a spring break.
- 6:42Speaker 2: You know, a lot of us are deciding Easter weekend
- 6:45Speaker 2: should I take. Maybe I'll take Friday, Maybe I'll take
- 6:49Speaker 2: Monday passover. Well, of course, take a day off or
- 6:51Speaker 2: to a day or two. Congress three weeks, spring break,
- 6:56Speaker 2: three weeks spring break. Yeah, later today spring break begins.
- 7:01Speaker 2: They're off for three weeks. They're gone for three weeks.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So it looks like they're going to try to get
- 7:07Speaker 2: something done about the TSA. By the end of the day,
- 7:09Speaker 2: the Senate has already passed something, you've got to get
- 7:12Speaker 2: the House to pass it. So even they, even these
- 7:16Speaker 2: crazy congress people, Democrats and Republicans, they're all nuts there.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Even they know if they go on this three week
- 7:21Speaker 2: spring break without fixing the airport situation, they're going to
- 7:25Speaker 2: be in big trouble. So hopefully by the end of
- 7:27Speaker 2: the day they will fix it. Now, ICE agents, ICE
- 7:32Speaker 2: officers are all through the airports, and it turns out,
- 7:36Speaker 2: I know, the Democrats are all over TV saying they're
- 7:38Speaker 2: gonna brutalize people, They're gonna shoot people. They've literally said this,
- 7:41Speaker 2: Eric Swolwell, Blumenthal, that crazy Chris Murphy. They've all said
- 7:46Speaker 2: the ICE agents will shoot people teared children away from
- 7:49Speaker 2: their families, brutalized people in the airports. They've all said this,
- 7:53Speaker 2: but it turns out just the opposite is happening, and
- 7:55Speaker 2: it's a great public relations move. People in the airports
- 7:59Speaker 2: reporting and everywhere with videos. The ICE agents are helping
- 8:03Speaker 2: people through the lines. They're handing out water. They even
- 8:06Speaker 2: saved a life the other day in the airport. They've
- 8:08Speaker 2: helped kids that get lost. I mean, they've done incredible
- 8:11Speaker 2: work in the airports. And for the most part, people
- 8:15Speaker 2: are coming up to the ICE agents and thanking them.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You still got some crazy Democrats yelling and screaming and
- 8:21Speaker 2: causing a disruption, but it's an incredibly good pr move
- 8:26Speaker 2: for the ICE agents. Hey, in that long diatribe President yesterday,
- 8:34Speaker 2: talking about all sorts of stuff, started to talk about sharpiees.
- 8:37Speaker 2: The pen, you know, the sharpie pen, the thick black marker,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and he uses them all the time. He's been using
- 8:43Speaker 2: them for years. When he signs his name with that
- 8:46Speaker 2: big black looks like a little magic marker kind of thing,
- 8:49Speaker 2: that's a sharpie pen. And you know, in the Oval Office,
- 8:53Speaker 2: for your whole life, you've watched the President do a
- 8:56Speaker 2: bill signing and he has these beautiful pens with the
- 9:01Speaker 2: White House logo on him. And when it's time to
- 9:03Speaker 2: sign a bill, they bring out a holder with like
- 9:05Speaker 2: twenty pens, and he uses twenty pens to sign a bill.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Then he hands him out to everybody. Great souvenirs. But
- 9:13Speaker 2: Trump revealed that those pens, they're fancy, fancy ballpoint pens,
- 9:19Speaker 2: cost about one thousand dollars apiece, and a lot of
- 9:22Speaker 2: those bill signings, when you hand them out, the senator
- 9:25Speaker 2: will say it, can I have a couple more from
- 9:27Speaker 2: my kids, And by the time you know it, you've
- 9:28Speaker 2: handed out thirty of them, and the President pointing out
- 9:31Speaker 2: it's ridiculous to spend thirty thousand to hand out a
- 9:34Speaker 2: few pens at a bill signing. And he loves sharpies.
- 9:38Speaker 2: He always signs with a sharpie. So he called the
- 9:42Speaker 2: president of the sharpie company, who didn't believe it was him.
- 9:46Speaker 2: It took a minute or two to convince him this
- 9:47Speaker 2: really is the President, I'm really calling you, And he said,
- 9:51Speaker 2: I love your pens. I want to use your pens.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I use them all the time to sign bills. And
- 9:55Speaker 2: he was very frank with the guy. He goes but
- 9:57Speaker 2: they're kind of ugly. They're gray with a big ap
- 10:00Speaker 2: son him and it says, sharpie't as you know? Is
- 10:02Speaker 2: it possibly he could make us some White House Sharpie
- 10:05Speaker 2: pens And they agree on a design. They'll make the
- 10:09Speaker 2: sharpiees black with a gold White House logo and Donald
- 10:12Speaker 2: Trump's signature in gold. And the sharpie guy is so
- 10:17Speaker 2: thrilled about this, because what great promotion for the sharpie company.
- 10:21Speaker 2: He said, there's no charge, we'll give me and Trump says, no, no, no,
- 10:24Speaker 2: we want to pay for him. And he said, we'll
- 10:26Speaker 2: give you five dollars a pen. I think they cost
- 10:28Speaker 2: him about normally they cost a dollar. They said, we'll
- 10:31Speaker 2: give you five dollars a pen. And tens of thousands
- 10:35Speaker 2: of them are on their way to the White House
- 10:37Speaker 2: as we speak. He's been using them, but many many
- 10:39Speaker 2: more are coming. Great, great, a great idea from Trump.
- 10:44Speaker 2: He is made a lot of improvement in the White House,
- 10:48Speaker 2: a lot of improvement. You know. He fixed up the
- 10:51Speaker 2: when you come into the White House, if you're a
- 10:53Speaker 2: special guest, a foreign leader, you come into this room.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It's called the Palm Court. It was pretty cheesy with
- 10:58Speaker 2: linoleum floors and it didn't look like much. So he
- 11:02Speaker 2: fixed that up a beautiful marble and it's ornate when
- 11:05Speaker 2: you come in. It's beautiful. Fix up the oval office
- 11:08Speaker 2: the Rose Garden, which was a nice idea John F.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Kennedy created. There's a big bunch of grass out there,
- 11:15Speaker 2: so they put roses around it, deck some landscaping. But
- 11:19Speaker 2: when you do ceremonies out there, whatever you do out there,
- 11:21Speaker 2: half the time it rained, and it's soggy and it's muddy,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and people are sinking into the grass. And every time
- 11:26Speaker 2: they have the event out there, the grass is torn up.
- 11:28Speaker 2: They got to replace it. So he decided to turn
- 11:32Speaker 2: into a beautiful patio. You know, they said he paved
- 11:35Speaker 2: the Rose garden. It wasn't paving. It was the most
- 11:38Speaker 2: incredible marble. He put tons of drains around it so
- 11:41Speaker 2: that there would never be a problem. If it rained,
- 11:44Speaker 2: the water would go away immediately. And if you go
- 11:46Speaker 2: up close and look at the drain, you know the
- 11:49Speaker 2: holes and everything in the drain, the slats they're in
- 11:52Speaker 2: the shape of the American flag. Really beautiful, every detail
- 11:57Speaker 2: on this. So the Rose Garden in the summer they
- 11:59Speaker 2: put there, they have dinners out there. It's magnificent. The
- 12:03Speaker 2: ballroom is coming now with the one dollar bill. The
- 12:10Speaker 2: Secretary of the Treasury signature is on the one dollar bill.
- 12:15Speaker 2: When this little thing goes into effect, the signature will
- 12:18Speaker 2: be Donald Trump. Donald Trump's signature will be on the
- 12:21Speaker 2: one dollar bill. This is coming. Watch democrats go insane
- 12:27Speaker 2: and they have to take out a bill with his
- 12:29Speaker 2: signature on it. Now, does anybody really use a one
- 12:33Speaker 2: dollar bill anymore? Most people don't even use cash anymore.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I hardly ever use cash and a one dollar bill,
- 12:41Speaker 2: what would you do with the one day? I mean
- 12:44Speaker 2: really not much you can do with it vending machine
- 12:47Speaker 2: even that. Use your phone now. So it'll drive these
- 12:50Speaker 2: left wing cooks absolutely nuts to see that signature they're
- 12:54Speaker 2: talking about. They're already changing in the name of the
- 12:56Speaker 2: street that comes tomorrow Lago Donald Trump Boulevard. So every
- 13:01Speaker 2: time a crazy Democrat has to turn on that street
- 13:04Speaker 2: and they see these signs, they just go nuts. The
- 13:07Speaker 2: airport in Palm Beach, they want to rename it Donald
- 13:09Speaker 2: Trump Airport, which makes sense. You know, every time they
- 13:13Speaker 2: have named a lot of airport. There's a lot of
- 13:15Speaker 2: airports named after presidents. Reagan Airport in DC Kennedy Airport.
- 13:20Speaker 7: Here.
- 13:20Speaker 2: There's a lot of airports named after presidence, so it
- 13:23Speaker 2: makes sense. And usually if it's your hometown, they'll name
- 13:25Speaker 2: the airport after you. So left wing cooks when they
- 13:29Speaker 2: have to go to Palm Beach, they're going to go nuts.
- 13:31Speaker 2: It's gonna be on the ticket, it's going to be
- 13:32Speaker 2: on the the Trump name will be on a baggage tag.
- 13:34Speaker 2: They'll just go absolutely nuts. They speaking to mar A Lago.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Forbes magazine did a study of what it's really worth.
- 13:43Speaker 2: You remember the crazy prosecutors here tried to say it
- 13:48Speaker 2: was only worth eighteen million, and they got the dumbest
- 13:52Speaker 2: judge ever. Now he's a left wing kook, but he's
- 13:55Speaker 2: incredibly dumb trying to convince people mar A Lago was
- 13:58Speaker 2: worth eighteen million. The house next door, which is like
- 14:02Speaker 2: one tenth the size, went for fifty million. It's I mean,
- 14:08Speaker 2: some people have estimated the parking lot alone of Marilogo,
- 14:11Speaker 2: just that land, would be worth fifty million. So how
- 14:15Speaker 2: could Marlogo be worth eighteen million? Well, Forbes, which is
- 14:19Speaker 2: pretty conservative when it comes to estimating Trump wealth and value.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Forbes did a study on Marilgo put it at about
- 14:26Speaker 2: six hundred million, six hundred million. If you talk to
- 14:30Speaker 2: real estate people, very experienced Pond Beach real estate agents,
- 14:35Speaker 2: they put it more at a billion dollars because there's
- 14:37Speaker 2: so much land and so much going on there. And
- 14:40Speaker 2: remember it's not just the part here, it's the part
- 14:43Speaker 2: on the other side of the road, the beach club,
- 14:45Speaker 2: all of that. So it's between six hundred million and
- 14:48Speaker 2: a billion. Once again improving. These local left wing kookie
- 14:53Speaker 2: judges are absolutely insane and don't know what they're talking about. Hey,
- 14:57Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to Forbes, Steve Forbes,
- 15:01Speaker 2: the Great Chairman, will be with us a little later.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Scott Shannon will be here a little later. There's a
- 15:06Speaker 2: new Paul McCartney album. Should he be doing another album?
- 15:09Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, we'll ask the expert. They remember
- 15:12Speaker 2: Seals and Crofts. They had a couple of big hits.
- 15:16Speaker 2: They were like two hit wonders. Yeah, there were a
- 15:18Speaker 2: couple other minor hits, but it was really two big hits. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 2: that was a big one, and then they followed it
- 15:22Speaker 2: up another big one. Oh, it was great stuff back then,
- 15:25Speaker 2: your kids today this was It's not really yacht rock.
- 15:28Speaker 2: It's like pre yacht rock. That's like seventy three, seventy
- 15:32Speaker 2: four somewhere around there. But Crofts just died. Dash Crofts
- 15:38Speaker 2: just you know the problem is when these guys die,
- 15:40Speaker 2: you know, Seals and Crofts, how old you know you
- 15:43Speaker 2: think of the guys like thirty you're still seeing him
- 15:45Speaker 2: on the Midnight Special, it was eighty eight, eighty eight. Boy,
- 15:50Speaker 2: time goes by eighty eight. Anyway, we'll take some calls next.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number?
- 15:59Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten?
- 16:04Speaker 1: Is that another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime?
- 16:08Speaker 2: Now, back to Mark Simone on woor Hey, let's take
- 16:13Speaker 2: some calls. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how
- 16:17Speaker 2: you doing?
- 16:18Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark.
- 16:19Speaker 9: I'm doing very well, thank you, and I'm speaking to
- 16:21Speaker 9: you with my brand new iPhone seventeen pro MacX.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's wonderful. Can barely hear you. Oh, I'm kidding,
- 16:31Speaker 2: I'm king, I'm kidding. It works fine, it sounds great.
- 16:35Speaker 9: Oh okay, thank god, I'm terribly sorry.
- 16:37Speaker 2: No, it sounds good.
- 16:38Speaker 9: Listen, Mark. President Biden tried to lower gas prices at
- 16:43Speaker 9: one point in his administration by tapping into the strategic
- 16:46Speaker 9: oil reserve.
- 16:48Speaker 10: It was a gimmick.
- 16:49Speaker 11: We all know it.
- 16:50Speaker 9: Has that inventory been replaced?
- 16:54Speaker 2: I don't think so. Not yet, It's replaced a little
- 16:57Speaker 2: on a regular basis. But what President Trump? How maybe
- 17:00Speaker 2: he did do this when the prices get really low,
- 17:02Speaker 2: he goes and buys a ton of it and fills
- 17:04Speaker 2: up the reserve. So he'll do that soon. Now it's
- 17:07Speaker 2: not a big problem for us because we produce our
- 17:10Speaker 2: own oil. Now we are totally energy independent. In fact,
- 17:13Speaker 2: we export oil. Now that's how much we have. But
- 17:16Speaker 2: good question. Let's go to John and Long Island. John,
- 17:19Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 17:22Speaker 8: Fine? I love your show. I just want to know
- 17:26Speaker 8: if could you hear me?
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yes? I just want to hate people call. What the
- 17:32Speaker 2: TV on? And you can hear it in the background.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Isn't that if a radio? It's great you have the radio,
- 17:40Speaker 2: but it seemed to be on another station. But okay,
- 17:42Speaker 2: go ahead anyway.
- 17:45Speaker 8: Uh, I just want to know if you could alert
- 17:48Speaker 8: your people about us.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I will, okay, thank you for calling. I'll alert them.
- 17:55Speaker 2: He's got the radio background. Anyway. Let's go to Rich
- 18:00Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 18:02Speaker 11: I don't know how to follow that one. I don't know.
- 18:04Speaker 12: It's uh unbelievable.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Alert my people? Which people is he talking about? Who
- 18:09Speaker 2: am I supposed to alert?
- 18:11Speaker 12: I mean putting the back signal up or something. I
- 18:13Speaker 12: don't know, but uh, you know, I called both Lindsay
- 18:16Speaker 12: Graham and Tim Scott's office this weekend and left messages,
- 18:20Speaker 12: and I spoke to him again this morning. You know,
- 18:22Speaker 12: you talk to the flunkeys in your office. Nobody has
- 18:25Speaker 12: no idea what WTI oil is. Nobody has any idea
- 18:29Speaker 12: why the price of oil has gone up, even though
- 18:31Speaker 12: we're totally oil independent in this country. But getting to
- 18:35Speaker 12: the thing about the singles, you know, I play in
- 18:37Speaker 12: a band and a lot of people here in Myrtle
- 18:38Speaker 12: Beach is a tourist town. The amount of singles we
- 18:41Speaker 12: get as tips in a night. I can walk out
- 18:43Speaker 12: of the fifty to sixty singles and I bring them
- 18:45Speaker 12: down to the ice cream parl because they're always begging
- 18:47Speaker 12: for small builds, you know, but this WT oil thing
- 18:50Speaker 12: is just a money grab and up the road.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I know what's going on where Myrtle Beach. Yet they
- 18:55Speaker 2: still use Myrtle Beaches. You people still use singles down there.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Up here. Everybody uses their phone to pay for everything.
- 19:02Speaker 2: You know what the problem is when you call a
- 19:04Speaker 2: senator's office, the people that work there. You don't realize this.
- 19:08Speaker 2: They're all twenty five years old. They're all in there twice.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Everybody that works there. In fact, the senator never does anything.
- 19:15Speaker 2: It's these twenty summings. They write the.
- 19:17Speaker 12: Bills, his messages.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well, first, they're not gonna give him a message when
- 19:21Speaker 2: you called. Do you think they can care at all?
- 19:22Speaker 2: Do you think they give a when you care? You
- 19:27Speaker 2: call and say, listen, I like to make a donation.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Twelve people will jump right on the phone if you
- 19:32Speaker 2: you call, I have a complaint. Nobody's listening. Nobody. He's
- 19:35Speaker 2: looking at his phone while you're talking. But thanks for calling.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Everybody works in every office, Congressional office, Senate office house.
- 19:42Speaker 2: They're all in their twenties, and they do all the work.
- 19:45Speaker 2: They write the bills, they do all the stuff while
- 19:47Speaker 2: the senator is tied up all day and night fundraising.
- 19:51Speaker 2: They do everything else. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 19:54Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 19:55Speaker 13: Good morning?
- 19:56Speaker 8: Mock on them?
- 19:57Speaker 13: Okay, Rich, I hope you're doing better with your leg mark.
- 20:00Speaker 13: I did that with Nicole Maley a taxas office when
- 20:03Speaker 13: she voted against Trump a couple of years ago. I
- 20:06Speaker 13: called up her office and said, I want to make
- 20:09Speaker 13: a contribution. You watch how fast I spoke to somebody
- 20:12Speaker 13: higher up and then I lit into them. Hey, Mark,
- 20:15Speaker 13: what do you mean? Nobody uses cash? Nobody uses dollars?
- 20:18Speaker 2: Normal about normal, That's all I use. We're talking about
- 20:22Speaker 2: normal people, not you. We're talking about normal people. Some
- 20:25Speaker 2: people have to use cash order they're up too, But
- 20:27Speaker 2: Mark even use cash. Those my name, But you got
- 20:31Speaker 2: a lot of cash. One of those big broccoli rubber
- 20:33Speaker 2: bands around it.
- 20:35Speaker 13: It's all I It's all I carry, Mark Mark. I
- 20:38Speaker 13: thought it was the absolute master stroke of Donald Trump
- 20:42Speaker 13: yesterday when he said he's gonna find the money to
- 20:46Speaker 13: fund the TSA. He's going to sign an executive order
- 20:50Speaker 13: and he'll get the money from one of the other
- 20:52Speaker 13: He'll get it from one of the other places. I
- 20:55Speaker 13: want to see. The Democrats, of course, are going to
- 20:57Speaker 13: go to court. It's going to take a couple of
- 20:59Speaker 13: weeks before that happens. Their heads are gonna explode. They're
- 21:03Speaker 13: gonna go on TV. They're gonna call him every name
- 21:06Speaker 13: under the sun, they're gonna make commercials that meanwhile, while
- 21:09Speaker 13: their head's exploding. The Republicans Trump is gonna have commercials,
- 21:14Speaker 13: campaign commercials madeia of them exploding and being against the
- 21:20Speaker 13: TSA workers. And then next year during the campaign season,
- 21:25Speaker 13: during this fall, he's gonna add the ads and they're
- 21:29Speaker 13: gonna look like complete fools that they are. When I
- 21:33Speaker 13: heard it last night, I said, this guy's a genius.
- 21:36Speaker 13: I can't believe this masterstroke. You go to President Trump,
- 21:40Speaker 13: you go, you're the man.
- 21:41Speaker 2: All right, Vincent, thanks for calling. Hey, we've got a
- 21:44Speaker 2: lot to get to.
- 21:45Speaker 11: Uh.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Oh, we'll talk to Steve Forbes next, always brilliant. Then
- 21:48Speaker 2: we'll talk to him and uh we got a lot
- 21:51Speaker 2: coming up.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Mark Simone on seven ten.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Rday, we're looking over Steve Forbes. They don't have any
- 22:03Speaker 2: How do I sound? Do I sound nasal? A little? Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 2: a little bit. And it started two days ago. My
- 22:14Speaker 2: nose you started running. I think it's allergies, and yesterday
- 22:19Speaker 2: got worse. And then I'm listening to Curtis, who sounds
- 22:23Speaker 2: great in the morning, but lately he's been talking like this.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I mean, he's really stuffed up. And I saw him,
- 22:29Speaker 2: yes I said, do you have an allergy? Start calling us?
- 22:31Speaker 2: This is a cold? So maybe that's what I have.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You hear that that is really stuffed up. I think
- 22:39Speaker 2: that's more than the allergies, although they say it's the
- 22:41Speaker 2: worst couple of days of allergies in this week, the
- 22:45Speaker 2: worst few days ever. What happened to Steve Forbes? We
- 22:49Speaker 2: didn't find him. Something about economists, something about economist named Steve.
- 22:54Speaker 2: They're hard to find. No, Steve Forbes is the most
- 22:56Speaker 2: reliable guest in the world. Hey, he always tells us
- 22:59Speaker 2: about AI and not to be so afraid of it.
- 23:02Speaker 2: But there's consequences to AI. Remember when the computers took
- 23:09Speaker 2: over everything, go back to twenty nineteen ninety nine, two thousand,
- 23:13Speaker 2: All of a sudden, everything just went computerized, everything went
- 23:16Speaker 2: high tech and put a lot of people out of
- 23:18Speaker 2: work when suddenly computers were doing everything. And remember back then,
- 23:22Speaker 2: they would state to everybody, well, you know, you got
- 23:24Speaker 2: to learn new skills. You should learn coding. Once you
- 23:27Speaker 2: can code, since the computers are taken over. If you
- 23:30Speaker 2: can code software ball, you'll be working for life. It
- 23:34Speaker 2: was a great idea. A lot of people became software coders.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Well there's no more software coding. It's all been taken
- 23:41Speaker 2: over by AI. Apparently that's one thing AI is very
- 23:45Speaker 2: good at writing. When you figure out what you want
- 23:48Speaker 2: to do software wise, instead of having to write the code,
- 23:52Speaker 2: you just let AI do it. And apparently if a
- 23:54Speaker 2: couple of guys wanted to do the coding to create
- 23:57Speaker 2: the software, it could take days. If you put it
- 24:00Speaker 2: into AI, it takes about a second and a half.
- 24:03Speaker 2: So the whole coding industry is pretty much dead. You
- 24:08Speaker 2: don't really need to even think about anybody going into
- 24:12Speaker 2: that profession anymore. So it is a new update for
- 24:17Speaker 2: your iPhone. It's a kicky prug all least, it's twenty
- 24:20Speaker 2: six to point four operating system. But if you update
- 24:25Speaker 2: to this, there's one good thing I like on there.
- 24:27Speaker 2: When you're charging your phone, if you're not getting a
- 24:31Speaker 2: really good charge, if it's a slow charge, a warning
- 24:33Speaker 2: light will go off tone you get a slow charge.
- 24:36Speaker 2: You know, if you buy those chargers from Apple or
- 24:39Speaker 2: Balkan or there's some really good companies that make chargers,
- 24:43Speaker 2: and you know they cost a little more. And sometimes
- 24:46Speaker 2: you go on Amazon say look at this, Well here's
- 24:47Speaker 2: a charger. It's only five bucks. And you get an
- 24:50Speaker 2: off brand charger for your phone or the not a
- 24:53Speaker 2: real high quality cable. Well the problem is it doesn't
- 24:56Speaker 2: give you a very fast charge. It could take forever.
- 24:58Speaker 2: So now there'll be a warning on those charges, so
- 25:01Speaker 2: you know if you have to write, oh, we got them.
- 25:03Speaker 2: The great Steve Forbes, chairman of Forbes Media, Hey, get
- 25:07Speaker 2: his latest book, Inflation. There's no better book on the subject.
- 25:10Speaker 2: The book's Inflation by Steve Forbes, and of course read Forbes.
- 25:13Speaker 2: It's the best at covering all this stuff. Steve Forbes,
- 25:17Speaker 2: how you doing doing fine? Thanks?
- 25:20Speaker 14: The sun is somewhat out and baseball is underway. The
- 25:24Speaker 14: Yankees won their opener, and great basketball. Everyone's rooting around
- 25:29Speaker 14: here for Saint John's if they can upset the Great Duke.
- 25:32Speaker 14: So in the rest of the world, well, not much
- 25:35Speaker 14: we can.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Do about it. But hey, with baseball, what we can baseball?
- 25:39Speaker 2: What do you think of that whatever they called ab
- 25:42Speaker 2: where it can actually check to see if it was
- 25:44Speaker 2: a strike or not. It can digitally look and see
- 25:47Speaker 2: if it was a strike. Doesn't that take the human
- 25:48Speaker 2: element out of baseball?
- 25:51Speaker 14: It does, but inevitably, with the technology you knew one
- 25:55Speaker 14: way the other that was coming. They've tried it out
- 25:57Speaker 14: in the minor leagues and stuff for the Yankees made histories,
- 26:02Speaker 14: you know, on opening a day in San Francisco by
- 26:05Speaker 14: being the first player to challenge a call, the computer
- 26:09Speaker 14: found that the battle was wrong, so the team lost
- 26:12Speaker 14: its challenge. But and the speed, the key thing is
- 26:16Speaker 14: the speed. So you knew that was going to come,
- 26:19Speaker 14: and we just have to make the best of it.
- 26:22Speaker 14: But it's always fun though in the past to be
- 26:25Speaker 14: able to say, yeah, we lost the game because lousy umping.
- 26:28Speaker 14: But now now it's just he didn't play very well,
- 26:32Speaker 14: and we.
- 26:33Speaker 2: Like we like the fat, dumpy, grumpy umpire. And who's
- 26:36Speaker 2: who's the manager going to yell at now? With that thing?
- 26:38Speaker 14: There's nobody to Billy Bill, Billy Martin wherever he is
- 26:42Speaker 14: right now? The Yankee manager, you can manager. I think
- 26:44Speaker 14: it was fired ten times with George Steinbrenner era, who
- 26:48Speaker 14: was notorious for kicking dirt. I think he could have
- 26:51Speaker 14: constructed a building in New York. It's amount of dirty
- 26:53Speaker 14: kid out on the field and and he must be
- 26:58Speaker 14: rolling his eyes now he do who can he yell at?
- 27:03Speaker 2: Hey, Steve Forbes, if the President calls you today, and said,
- 27:07Speaker 2: how am I doing? What would you tell him?
- 27:10Speaker 14: I would tell him that one, we've demonstrated extraordinary military
- 27:15Speaker 14: capabilities in this war with the Iran.
- 27:19Speaker 13: And.
- 27:22Speaker 14: That he should he should, and the Israelis have done
- 27:27Speaker 14: the same, and he should continue to do what they
- 27:31Speaker 14: need to do to incapacitate the local militias to keep this.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Government in power.
- 27:38Speaker 14: And one of the things I wish the president would
- 27:40Speaker 14: do is make a nationwide address behind the desk in
- 27:45Speaker 14: the Oval office and up behind a platform and explain
- 27:48Speaker 14: what's at stake, why we're doing what it's we have
- 27:52Speaker 14: to do. And it may take three days, three weeks,
- 27:55Speaker 14: three months, but it has to be done. And you know,
- 27:57Speaker 14: the American people, when you explain some thing like that
- 28:00Speaker 14: is basically national security. The Mullas were intent on being
- 28:06Speaker 14: bad actors, dangerous actors, destructive actors. After all, they killed
- 28:10Speaker 14: two thousands of our people. But the American people will
- 28:15Speaker 14: cut him slack. They will put up with the inconveniences
- 28:19Speaker 14: as long as they have a context. But unfortunately the
- 28:24Speaker 14: impression has been given from the get go this will
- 28:26Speaker 14: be sort of a venezuela two point zero. Yeah, it
- 28:29Speaker 14: may take a few days longer but it'll be lickety split,
- 28:33Speaker 14: and it isn't. And so the American people back if
- 28:38Speaker 14: you explain it to him. Just one thing on that
- 28:40Speaker 14: i'millough to remember. During the Vietnam War, President Richard Nixon
- 28:45Speaker 14: takes oval office. The war is growing in unpopularity as
- 28:49Speaker 14: policy of vietnamizations, they call it growing and unpopularity. And
- 28:53Speaker 14: he did a nationwide address and bought time politically to
- 28:57Speaker 14: carry out his strategy to the American people. Trust the
- 29:02Speaker 14: American people and most of them will give you the
- 29:05Speaker 14: time to do if you explain why the job has
- 29:07Speaker 14: to be done.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, But at that cabinet meeting he explained it for
- 29:10Speaker 2: a good half hour. Then he went on the five
- 29:12Speaker 2: yesterday and for almost an hour explained himself. But I
- 29:15Speaker 2: know what you mean. It's not the same as a
- 29:17Speaker 2: formal address.
- 29:19Speaker 14: But you know, if he didn't know and doing then
- 29:22Speaker 14: you know, if you do the formal address and have
- 29:24Speaker 14: that context, sober context, then these updates that he gives,
- 29:28Speaker 14: you know, when he goes in a rope line or whatever,
- 29:31Speaker 14: or on the five, then then then it's seen as
- 29:34Speaker 14: part of the mosaic. But people have an understanding in
- 29:38Speaker 14: which they can put what he says in context, and
- 29:41Speaker 14: so he's got to do himself in the American people
- 29:44Speaker 14: a favor like laying it out. The American people then
- 29:48Speaker 14: put up with stuff if they know there's a purpose
- 29:51Speaker 14: and you've explained why it has to be done.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so hey, Steve Forbes, Moody's has didn't exactly downgrade
- 30:00Speaker 2: in New York, but they lowered expectations on New York.
- 30:04Speaker 2: What does this do any actual damage to us?
- 30:07Speaker 14: I think it's pissed, underscores the bad trajectory. New York
- 30:12Speaker 14: City has been on for a while, New York State's
- 30:14Speaker 14: been on for a while, and it just gives proof
- 30:17Speaker 14: that change has to come. And I think Governor Hochel
- 30:23Speaker 14: sort of semi recognizes that you can't keep running the
- 30:26Speaker 14: state into the ground. But you have a radical city council,
- 30:31Speaker 14: you have a radical mayor, neo communists, You've got a
- 30:34Speaker 14: legislature that's out of control, and the Democrat parties run
- 30:37Speaker 14: by the far left, and so you know, Moody's is
- 30:41Speaker 14: not a Moody's is like our umpire and they're calling
- 30:48Speaker 14: strikes and where New York and City and state are
- 30:52Speaker 14: striking out. So it's good because I think it helps
- 30:55Speaker 14: the change politically the environment where somebody like Bruce Blakeman,
- 31:00Speaker 14: who is a Republican candidate for governor, may make a change.
- 31:04Speaker 14: And one of the things skeptic should keep in mind
- 31:08Speaker 14: is that even though New York is a city, especially
- 31:11Speaker 14: but the state's blue. We've seen in states like Vermont
- 31:15Speaker 14: or New Hampshire they will elect a Republican if it's
- 31:20Speaker 14: just about local issues, not national issues, but local issues.
- 31:24Speaker 14: And that's why I think Bruce Blakeman has a real
- 31:27Speaker 14: chance to do it, because people know the state's in trouble.
- 31:31Speaker 14: So this isn't about tax policy in Washington. This is
- 31:35Speaker 14: about New York state, and so I think he can
- 31:38Speaker 14: win on that.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah, very well, said well, Steve Forbes. Great talking to you.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Everybody gets Steve Forbes's latest book, Inflation. Very important book
- 31:46Speaker 2: and you'll learn a lot reading it. Just go to
- 31:49Speaker 2: Amazon and get the book and of course read Forbes.
- 31:51Speaker 2: It's a great coverage Forbes Media. Steve Forbes, and we'll
- 31:55Speaker 2: see all over television. Thanks for being with.
- 31:57Speaker 14: Us, going to be with you, and I'm so glad
- 32:01Speaker 14: to hear those words playball.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Yeah me too, Thanks for thanks for being with us.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Take care, take care, thank you, thanks, and I don't
- 32:09Speaker 2: forget coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis.
- 32:12Speaker 2: They got a great show for you every day at noon.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Then you got the most listened to radio show in America.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Sean Handy. He's on at three, six o'clock. It's always
- 32:20Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly every night. And then you know, at nine
- 32:23Speaker 2: o'clock Jimmy Fayala boy, that's a very funny, great show.
- 32:27Speaker 2: It's every night at nine here on seven to ten
- 32:30Speaker 2: wr mark.
- 32:31Speaker 15: The moons on wor.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Well. Hey, it's Friday, and it's almost April. It's April
- 32:43Speaker 2: next week. Wednesday's April April Foolsday passover all on one day,
- 32:47Speaker 2: April first, and then you got Easter weekend coming up.
- 32:51Speaker 2: It's gonna be okay. Over the weekend, it's gonna be
- 32:54Speaker 2: a little little cooler. And rain stopped just about everywhere,
- 33:00Speaker 2: so we got a lot to get to in the
- 33:01Speaker 2: next hour. Hey, I remember the Bachelorette. They had to
- 33:04Speaker 2: throw away the whole season. The woman. I don't know.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I can't imagine. It costs millions to film the season.
- 33:12Speaker 2: It could be twenty million bucks to film the season.
- 33:15Speaker 2: And they picked a Bachelorette, but they forgot to do
- 33:16Speaker 2: a background check. Find out she's got felony convictions, she's
- 33:20Speaker 2: got domestic assault and all sorts of horrible stuff this video.
- 33:25Speaker 2: So they didn't do a background check. They had to
- 33:27Speaker 2: throw away the whole season. Now, some of the guys
- 33:30Speaker 2: that were on the show apparently they're getting ready to
- 33:32Speaker 2: sue ABC over this canceled season, saying their lives were
- 33:36Speaker 2: put at risk. This is the woman in the video.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Is they hitting the guy with a chair? She's like
- 33:40Speaker 2: a like a Richie a Priole type. So anyway, we'll
- 33:43Speaker 2: talk about that and more coming up in the next hour.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Don't go away, Mark Simone, seven to ten, w.
- 33:50Speaker 15: Mister New York Mark Simone on the Voice of New
- 33:53Speaker 15: York seven to ten.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Woody A lot to get to this hour. We'll get
- 34:02Speaker 2: to we'll get to the national anthem, the Mets. It
- 34:06Speaker 2: was disaster. There have been some incidents through the years
- 34:09Speaker 2: of people trying to sing to the national anthem, famous
- 34:11Speaker 2: singers and screwing up. But boy, that was a disaster yesterday.
- 34:15Speaker 2: And we'll get to Paul McCartney and a whole lot more. Hey,
- 34:18Speaker 2: speaking of a disaster that crazy Don Lemon goes out
- 34:23Speaker 2: on you know, he's doing this out on the street
- 34:25Speaker 2: kind of thing, interviewing people. Don Lemon, formerly of CNN,
- 34:29Speaker 2: now fired one of these, you know, Megan, Kelly, Tucker,
- 34:33Speaker 2: Carlson doing a show from his living room. So, and
- 34:38Speaker 2: it looks you can build yourself a little set, but
- 34:40Speaker 2: people can see you're in your living room or you're
- 34:42Speaker 2: in your bedroom, and your bottom half is still in
- 34:46Speaker 2: your pajamas. But he's been doing this, going out in
- 34:48Speaker 2: the street interviewing people looks a little better. So he's
- 34:51Speaker 2: going out there trying to get people to bad mouth
- 34:54Speaker 2: the war, the war in Iran. He goes out, what
- 34:57Speaker 2: do you think of the going to warner and once
- 34:59Speaker 2: people all upset about it, well, he makes the mistake
- 35:02Speaker 2: of stopping an Iranian, a Persian in America, how do
- 35:05Speaker 2: you feel about the war?
- 35:06Speaker 16: I'm Persian, so i'm I'm I support Donald Trump. There's
- 35:11Speaker 16: a lot of regime kills women. They killed fifty thousand
- 35:14Speaker 16: people in two days. A lot of them believe death
- 35:18Speaker 16: in all of Americans. So I'm I'm fully undred percent
- 35:22Speaker 16: sport Donald Trump.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Lemon looking a little stunned. Yeah, the problem is you
- 35:28Speaker 2: get these uh Trump haters. There's some of the right too.
- 35:32Speaker 2: You'll hear them say, uh, he hasn't explained why we're there.
- 35:36Speaker 2: He can he has not explained why we're there. Well,
- 35:39Speaker 2: I don't think anybody normal people really don't need an explanation.
- 35:42Speaker 2: It's the most evil regime in the world. It's a
- 35:45Speaker 2: threat to Israel, it's a threat to the Middle East,
- 35:47Speaker 2: it's a threat to us. They're behind terrorism. They're the
- 35:51Speaker 2: biggest terrorist sponsors in the world, from the hoodies to
- 35:54Speaker 2: HESBLA to Hamas horrible, horrible, horrible terrorist state. They're the
- 35:59Speaker 2: most brutal regis evil brutal regime on earth. If you're gay,
- 36:03Speaker 2: they shoot you on site. If you're a woman and
- 36:06Speaker 2: you don't wear a head covering, you get shot. If
- 36:09Speaker 2: you protest, you talk about these no Kings protests. If
- 36:14Speaker 2: in Iran you go out and protest, you will be
- 36:16Speaker 2: shot in the street. And in the last round, before
- 36:19Speaker 2: we started the bombing, they went out and shot a
- 36:22Speaker 2: lot of protesters, only to find out some of them
- 36:24Speaker 2: didn't die. They were in the hospital. This is absolutely true.
- 36:29Speaker 2: So the Iranian Republican Guard went into the hospitals and
- 36:32Speaker 2: there's these people in a hospital bed with IVS and
- 36:35Speaker 2: strapped in. They went into the hospital and shot them
- 36:38Speaker 2: right in the face. This is who the Iranian government was.
- 36:41Speaker 2: So it's not that hard to figure out why we're
- 36:44Speaker 2: there now. If you watch President Trump, he's on the
- 36:47Speaker 2: five yesterday and even their cousin, well, you know, Maga
- 36:50Speaker 2: base is torn apart about this. And isn't this against
- 36:54Speaker 2: everything you stood for? Aren't you supposed to be against
- 36:57Speaker 2: foreign wars, foreign intervention? This isn't America first. Yeah, well,
- 37:02Speaker 2: all that's true. But if you watch interviews with Donald
- 37:05Speaker 2: Trump for the last forty six years, he has said
- 37:10Speaker 2: over and over and over and over again that we
- 37:12Speaker 2: got to get rid of the Iatola and get rid
- 37:14Speaker 2: of Iran. He's been saying that literally for forty six years.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Forty seven years ago, the Iranians took our Iatola took over,
- 37:23Speaker 2: they took Americans hostage, and about a year after that,
- 37:26Speaker 2: Trump started in on this. You can find an interview
- 37:29Speaker 2: from forty six years ago where he said he would
- 37:30Speaker 2: do this, and every year since he said he would
- 37:33Speaker 2: do this. Hate Tomorrow, believe it or not, what's tomorrow
- 37:39Speaker 2: twenty eighth, Saturday, March twenty eighth is No King's Day,
- 37:44Speaker 2: and protesters will be all over the place with the
- 37:47Speaker 2: No Kings protest. Of course in the middle of New
- 37:49Speaker 2: York and other major cities, but even if you're way
- 37:52Speaker 2: out in the middle of nowhere in Connecticut, middle of
- 37:55Speaker 2: nowhere in Vermont, there will be No King's protest. I
- 38:00Speaker 2: don't know what the hell they're protesting. I don't know
- 38:03Speaker 2: what king they're talking about. I could see if you
- 38:07Speaker 2: were in England having a No King's protest, although they
- 38:09Speaker 2: kind of like that King. But they're back at it again.
- 38:14Speaker 2: But you could make fun of how silly the thing is.
- 38:17Speaker 2: No Kings, but it's left wing Democrats. They need a
- 38:21Speaker 2: chance to go out in the street, wave signs, yell
- 38:24Speaker 2: and scream, and it looks good on TV. It looks
- 38:27Speaker 2: like people hate Trump. And that's the whole point, just
- 38:30Speaker 2: to make it look like everybody hates Trump. Although if
- 38:33Speaker 2: you watch these No Kings protests, they don't look like
- 38:35Speaker 2: your neighbors, they don't look like the people you work with.
- 38:38Speaker 2: They look like a bunch of wackos, the nosering crowd,
- 38:41Speaker 2: the green haired, nose ring crowd out there yelling and screaming.
- 38:46Speaker 2: So that's the whole point to make Donald Trump look
- 38:49Speaker 2: like everything he's talking about is just wrong. The idea
- 38:52Speaker 2: that you would have to show identification to vote, what
- 38:58Speaker 2: this sounds insane to them. Now, remember if the illegals
- 39:01Speaker 2: were all voting, Republican Democrats would be demanding photo ID, fingerprints,
- 39:06Speaker 2: DNA scan just to vote. So if you want to
- 39:10Speaker 2: get have you gotten one of those enhanced driver's licenses?
- 39:13Speaker 2: You know, when you can get your regular New York
- 39:14Speaker 2: state driver's license or any state, you can now get
- 39:17Speaker 2: the enhanced license, or you can get the real ID.
- 39:21Speaker 2: When you got one of those kind of licenses, you
- 39:23Speaker 2: can use that in the airport. It gets you through
- 39:26Speaker 2: faster some countries you can go into without a passport,
- 39:29Speaker 2: just with that real ID, going to Canada and Mexico
- 39:32Speaker 2: without a passport. But to get one you got to
- 39:38Speaker 2: show some stuff. You got to show a passport, You
- 39:40Speaker 2: got to show a birth certificate. Now all over the Democrats,
- 39:44Speaker 2: all over television are trying to say this is ridiculous,
- 39:46Speaker 2: It is voter suppression because nobody can get a birth certificate.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Most people wouldn't even know where their birth certificate is.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Even this crazy Mika Brazinski looks into the cameras. I
- 39:57Speaker 2: don't know where my birth certificate is. I can't vote.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I could well, I'm trying to think. I think I
- 40:03Speaker 2: know where my birth certificate is. But even if you
- 40:06Speaker 2: lost it, even if you haven't seen it in a
- 40:07Speaker 2: million years, you can get a replacement birth certificate. It
- 40:11Speaker 2: takes a couple of seconds. You can go to the
- 40:13Speaker 2: Social Security Office website or there's like twenty five private
- 40:19Speaker 2: companies you can go and let just. All you gotta
- 40:20Speaker 2: do is Google replacement birth certificate. It'll take you to
- 40:24Speaker 2: a million sites. You don't have to pay a few bucks,
- 40:26Speaker 2: not a lot. You've got to pay a few bucks.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Type in your information. It will get you a replacement
- 40:32Speaker 2: birth certificate from your home state. It might take a
- 40:35Speaker 2: week to show up, but it's very easy to do.
- 40:39Speaker 2: You can get a birth certificate, a replacement versus given
- 40:42Speaker 2: to the second. But listen to this montage of these
- 40:44Speaker 2: democrats all over television. Do you know where your birth
- 40:47Speaker 2: certificate is? Definitely not, I do not.
- 40:49Speaker 15: Mind's in a lock box at.
- 40:50Speaker 11: A Save Act?
- 40:51Speaker 15: You know what the Save Act would do require that
- 40:54Speaker 15: people show a birth certificate.
- 40:56Speaker 2: We cannot know where her original birthtiping is, which under
- 40:59Speaker 2: the Save Act would get her kicked off the voters' rolls.
- 41:03Speaker 10: If I said, do you know where your birth certificate is?
- 41:05Speaker 10: I think most people would say no, idea, I don't know.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Again, to get that real ID, you got to bring
- 41:12Speaker 2: in your birth certificated. People are getting them all the time.
- 41:14Speaker 2: If you go to get your real ID, you'll notice
- 41:16Speaker 2: there's a line, a big, long line of people with
- 41:20Speaker 2: a birth certificate in their hand. Hey, that's Savannah Guthrie. Stuff. Boy.
- 41:25Speaker 2: If you watched the NBC Nightly News last night they interviewed,
- 41:30Speaker 2: it was Hoda Kotti interviewing Savannah Guthrie. Obviously she just
- 41:34Speaker 2: breaks down and cries, and it's NBC. I mean she's
- 41:38Speaker 2: really really really crying, I mean really emotional. It's very
- 41:43Speaker 2: tough to watch talking about her mother. So if you're NBC,
- 41:49Speaker 2: you say to yourself, when you look at this in
- 41:51Speaker 2: and you say, now, how could we exploit this to
- 41:53Speaker 2: the full maximum?
- 41:54Speaker 7: Mind?
- 41:54Speaker 2: What's the most we could exploit this? Well, you break
- 41:57Speaker 2: it into two parts, so you get Thursday and Friday
- 42:00Speaker 2: on the Today Show. That way you get two days
- 42:02Speaker 2: of big ratings. And then you say to you, so
- 42:05Speaker 2: let's run it on the NBC Nightly News, not a clip,
- 42:09Speaker 2: not a one minute clip, Let's run it for fifteen
- 42:12Speaker 2: minutes in the middle. So they did run it for
- 42:14Speaker 2: fifteen minutes, and the Nightly News last night is gut wrenching.
- 42:18Speaker 2: You can't watch it without crying. When she breaks down
- 42:21Speaker 2: about her and then she starts talking about she starts
- 42:25Speaker 2: talking about when they think it might have been my
- 42:28Speaker 2: fault because I was well known, and they thought, well,
- 42:31Speaker 2: she's famous, she has money. Let's get her mother since
- 42:34Speaker 2: she was I think that my mother was kidnapped because
- 42:37Speaker 2: of me.
- 42:38Speaker 17: She was.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I just can't live with that. It's really powerful moving,
- 42:43Speaker 2: but NBC really exploiting the hell out of this. Now,
- 42:46Speaker 2: where is the mother. It's two months now. She's on
- 42:50Speaker 2: blood pressure medicine, a heart medicine, she's got a pacemaker,
- 42:54Speaker 2: seems on all kinds of medication. She can barely walk.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Savannah goutro revealing days couldn't even walk down to her mailbox.
- 43:02Speaker 2: So you can without the medicine if you need all
- 43:08Speaker 2: that medicine heart, blood pressure or cholesterol. Yeah, you could
- 43:11Speaker 2: go a bunch of weeks without it. But it's doubtful
- 43:17Speaker 2: that she's still alive. So she said that they got
- 43:20Speaker 2: lots of ransom notes, most of them were fake, but
- 43:22Speaker 2: there's two that they believe were authentic. So why didn't they,
- 43:26Speaker 2: I mean, obviously would have paid the ransom. Why didn't
- 43:29Speaker 2: the kidnappers follow up, collect the ransom and then release
- 43:32Speaker 2: the mother or say where she is? Well, all you
- 43:36Speaker 2: can do is speculate. All you can do is guess.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, maybe she died and they
- 43:43Speaker 2: decided there was no point in continuing the kidnappers. But
- 43:48Speaker 2: even if she had died, you could still collect the money.
- 43:51Speaker 2: I think if I had a guess, I'd say there's
- 43:54Speaker 2: two problems. Problem Number one, they were going to get
- 43:57Speaker 2: the payment in crypto, and all over the news when
- 44:01Speaker 2: this came out, they kept saying they'll be able to
- 44:04Speaker 2: trace them through the crypto currency. You can track down
- 44:07Speaker 2: crypto currency. Now I never knew that. We always assume
- 44:11Speaker 2: that if you go crypto it's totally anonymous, they can't
- 44:14Speaker 2: find you. But not only did it say all over
- 44:16Speaker 2: the news you can be tracked through the crypto, but
- 44:19Speaker 2: they said there have been many sick cases where they've
- 44:22Speaker 2: cracked the case by tracking the crypto. So that might
- 44:26Speaker 2: have scared off the kidnappers. That might have ended the
- 44:28Speaker 2: plan now could also be the Frank Sinatra theory. Here.
- 44:35Speaker 2: You know, in nineteen sixty three, these two kidnappers in
- 44:39Speaker 2: La decided they would kidnap the son of somebody famous
- 44:43Speaker 2: and get millions in ransom. And they decided on Bob Hope,
- 44:47Speaker 2: who was the most Wait an look at this, My
- 44:52Speaker 2: stupid Siri goes off, how did that happen? It's telling
- 44:54Speaker 2: me about Frank Sinatra Junior. I don't need you, Siri
- 44:57Speaker 2: to tell me about it. So but anyway, they're going
- 44:59Speaker 2: to kidnap Bob ho kids. That didn't work out. Then
- 45:02Speaker 2: they looked at Frank Sinatra and it turned out his
- 45:04Speaker 2: son was trying to be a singer and he wasn't
- 45:07Speaker 2: in the big leagues yet he was traveling around touring,
- 45:11Speaker 2: and touring meant smaller towns and he would stay at
- 45:13Speaker 2: small motels. Easy to kidnap somebody out of a small motel.
- 45:17Speaker 2: So that's how they did it. They grabbed him in
- 45:19Speaker 2: his hotel room and they kidnapped Frank Sinatra Junior in
- 45:23Speaker 2: nineteen sixty three, and they were going to get up
- 45:25Speaker 2: millions in ransom, but they didn't calculate it correctly, because
- 45:30Speaker 2: first of all, it's Frank Sinatra. All of a sudden,
- 45:32Speaker 2: they're hearing in the news that the entire American mafia
- 45:36Speaker 2: is hunting for them. Now, that's a scary thought. And
- 45:40Speaker 2: even though Sinatra and Robert Kennedy were estranged, Kennedy called
- 45:45Speaker 2: him immediately. He was then the Attorney General, and Robert F.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Kennedy said, the entire FBI is on this, I'm personally
- 45:53Speaker 2: supervising the whole thing. We'll find him. So now you're
- 45:57Speaker 2: the kidnappers, you'll find out the entire America and mafia
- 46:00Speaker 2: is hunting you, and the Attorney General himself and the
- 46:04Speaker 2: entire Justice Department FBI are after you. So the kidnappers panicked,
- 46:10Speaker 2: they decided to just abandon this whole thing, that this
- 46:13Speaker 2: was too dangerous now, So they just drove Frank Sinatra
- 46:17Speaker 2: Junior somewhere, let him out of the car. I think
- 46:19Speaker 2: it was in somewhere in a park or wooded area.
- 46:22Speaker 2: They let him out. He wanted around a couple of blocks,
- 46:25Speaker 2: found a security guard for something, and the guard drove
- 46:30Speaker 2: him back home. But they just got scared when they
- 46:32Speaker 2: found out who was hunting for them, so It could
- 46:34Speaker 2: have been the same thing here with Savannah Guthrie. You figure,
- 46:37Speaker 2: you'll kidnap the mother, you'll contact her, you'll get the money,
- 46:42Speaker 2: and that's now everything changes. It's suddenly the number one
- 46:45Speaker 2: story in the news. It's on the news twenty four
- 46:48Speaker 2: to seven. You find out the FBI is in town
- 46:51Speaker 2: hunting for you. And then remember the President of the
- 46:54Speaker 2: United States is on television saying, I personally am gonna
- 46:58Speaker 2: find her. I'm gonna put all my resources and all
- 47:00Speaker 2: my people on it. Well, they might have panicked and
- 47:04Speaker 2: just abandoned the whole thing. Now, in the case of
- 47:06Speaker 2: Frank Sinatra Junior, he was like twenty four years old
- 47:09Speaker 2: and very healthy and was able to get away. But
- 47:13Speaker 2: the mother of Savannah got three, not healthy, would not
- 47:16Speaker 2: be able to get in. Probably, if I had a guess,
- 47:19Speaker 2: probably died in the hands of the kidnappers and they
- 47:22Speaker 2: just panicked realized it's too dangerous trying to collect the money.
- 47:27Speaker 2: There have been kidnappings where the person just never ever
- 47:30Speaker 2: was found. Jimmy hoff is a famous example. Back in
- 47:34Speaker 2: the thirties, there was Judge Crater, famous judge in New York,
- 47:38Speaker 2: who was just gone. It's one hundred years later, we
- 47:42Speaker 2: still don't know what happened to him. There was Aton Pates.
- 47:45Speaker 2: Now they did find him, but it was about thirty
- 47:47Speaker 2: five forty years later, so who knows. Who knows? Hey,
- 47:52Speaker 2: the people in the Assembly, these crazy left wing cooks,
- 47:56Speaker 2: they're still pushing this bill now that all lights in
- 47:59Speaker 2: the York have to go off at eleven o'clock. The
- 48:02Speaker 2: lights inside your house are okay, but all building lights
- 48:04Speaker 2: all outside. This is absolutely ridiculous. Your job is service.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Take care of the potholes, run the police. It's a
- 48:14Speaker 2: service job. Stop telling us how to run our lives. Oh,
- 48:17Speaker 2: this just breaking. Jill Biden is you know it's got
- 48:22Speaker 2: Secret Service protection. Former president, former president's wife. She was
- 48:27Speaker 2: going through Philadelphia International Airport with her Secret Service detail.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Shots fired, big alarm goes out. Well, they find out
- 48:38Speaker 2: the Secret Service agent shot himself in the leg. Now,
- 48:42Speaker 2: Secret Service, ever since Butler Pennsylvania, everybody's been looking at
- 48:47Speaker 2: them as if they're not the old Secret Service. This
- 48:49Speaker 2: is a bungling, messed up version of the Secret Service.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Turns out the police were there everything. It looks like
- 48:56Speaker 2: the agent accidentally shot himself in the leg. This is
- 49:00Speaker 2: usually something only happens with a dumb football player and
- 49:02Speaker 2: a nightclub accidentally shooting yourself in the leg, but it
- 49:05Speaker 2: looks like a secret service agent, did Hey, Well, take
- 49:08Speaker 2: some calls next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 49:12Speaker 2: ten is the number. Give me a call. Eight hundred
- 49:15Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Hey, if you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app,
- 49:20Speaker 1: save time and tap the breset button.
- 49:22Speaker 18: Now.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Zimon Show on woor.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Hey, let's say some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 49:33Speaker 2: zero seven ten is a number. Let's go to Frank
- 49:35Speaker 2: in Arizona. Frank, how you doing?
- 49:38Speaker 17: Hey, Mark, Mark, while listening to you, I went online.
- 49:41Speaker 17: It took me exactly six minutes to get a copy
- 49:44Speaker 17: of my full certificate. It courts sixty seven dollars and
- 49:47Speaker 17: I'll have it in three days. How's that?
- 49:49Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. You're a citizen. You're a citizen of this country.
- 49:54Speaker 17: Yes I am, sir.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Now you must be some super genius to have
- 49:59Speaker 2: figured that out, because Mika Brazinski says she can't figure
- 50:02Speaker 2: out how to get a birth certificate.
- 50:04Speaker 17: So and I never went to college. Imagine that unbelievable.
- 50:09Speaker 2: That's pretty easy to do. Well, you just went to
- 50:11Speaker 2: some there's a bunch of companies. They'll get your birth Oh.
- 50:14Speaker 17: God, there's a ton of them. Yeah, there's a ton
- 50:15Speaker 17: of them.
- 50:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 2: All you got to do is, yeah, when you put
- 50:19Speaker 2: what you put in your name, where you were born,
- 50:21Speaker 2: that kind of stit.
- 50:22Speaker 17: Yes, exactly, that's it.
- 50:24Speaker 8: That's it.
- 50:24Speaker 17: You know a hackenstap New Jersey was born and uh yeah,
- 50:27Speaker 17: so they said, well in three days, I'll have it.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's not bad. All right, great call Frank. Yeah,
- 50:34Speaker 2: it's easy to do. You go to one of these sites.
- 50:37Speaker 2: You put in your birth date, date, you were born,
- 50:40Speaker 2: where you're at, city you were born, all that kind
- 50:42Speaker 2: of stuff, what state, and you'll get your birthipy that
- 50:44Speaker 2: mean they'll charge you whatever it is, forty bucks or something,
- 50:47Speaker 2: but you'll get your birth certificate. Let's go to Randall
- 50:50Speaker 2: and Maryland. Randall.
- 50:51Speaker 10: How you doing good, Mark? Well, LUs Moore got dowed
- 50:56Speaker 10: and opening down at Baltimore yesterday.
- 50:58Speaker 2: They still got a team there. Wow in Baltimore. Wait
- 51:02Speaker 2: a minute, Oh yeah no, why did he get booed?
- 51:07Speaker 10: Why did he get booed? Because he's losing support and
- 51:11Speaker 10: his his act isn't work it. Yeah, and yeah, he's
- 51:16Speaker 10: even the Black pop Uasion abandoned them because he wasn't
- 51:20Speaker 10: in favor of reparation stud.
- 51:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so you know, they kept talking about him for
- 51:26Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight. He'd be a presidential candidate.
- 51:28Speaker 10: Apparently, Oh I'm I'm so secon of him.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Apparently he was under serious consideration to be Kamala Harris's
- 51:35Speaker 2: vice presidential pick, but he did not pass the vetting.
- 51:38Speaker 2: I don't know exactly why, but.
- 51:40Speaker 10: Apparently, oh yeah, his resume is full of holes.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Yeah, the vetting wasn't good. Well, thanks for calling. You
- 51:46Speaker 2: know that crazy Mark Kelly, that angry, angry guy always
- 51:50Speaker 2: see all over television bad mouthing Trump. Supposedly he was
- 51:53Speaker 2: on the list to be a Kamala vice president.
- 51:56Speaker 8: But.
- 51:57Speaker 2: They'd something in the vetting they didn't like, and that
- 51:59Speaker 2: was the under that. Let's go to Aaron in Indianapolis,
- 52:03Speaker 2: erin how you.
- 52:03Speaker 18: Doing doing good?
- 52:06Speaker 13: Mark?
- 52:06Speaker 18: Speaking of dollar bills, you're forgetting the probably the biggest
- 52:11Speaker 18: use of dollar bills, and that is if you have
- 52:15Speaker 18: you heard of the term tuckable ones?
- 52:17Speaker 2: The what tuckable ones? You're talking about? A strip club?
- 52:21Speaker 18: Well, yeah, I figured that would have been your first example.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I don't know what strip club you go to, but
- 52:26Speaker 2: if you shove a dollar in there, you're just going
- 52:30Speaker 2: to get a dirty dollar.
- 52:32Speaker 18: They're expecting five.
- 52:33Speaker 2: And I used to this is New York twenties, fifties, hundreds.
- 52:40Speaker 18: Well as a as a Lemo driver. I used to
- 52:43Speaker 18: drive people to those clubs, and so that's how I
- 52:46Speaker 18: kind of learned how that practice works.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, years ago, it must have been dollars. Do
- 52:50Speaker 2: you have strip clubs there? And where are you in Indianapolis?
- 52:53Speaker 18: Indianapolis? Yeah, we have a few them around here.
- 52:56Speaker 2: And what did the strippers? What do the strippers look like? Roseanne?
- 53:00Speaker 18: Well, yell, there's some like that's it depends. There's some
- 53:05Speaker 18: higher class ones.
- 53:05Speaker 2: But and they look like ros Od. So yeah, all right,
- 53:12Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Let's go to Mike and Florida.
- 53:15Speaker 7: Mike, how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, you
- 53:19Speaker 7: mentioned the passing of Dash Crofts. Another guy who was
- 53:22Speaker 7: in a similar vane was Chip Taylor, who died the beginning.
- 53:25Speaker 13: Of the week.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Who's Chip Taylor.
- 53:28Speaker 7: He's John Voy's brother by birth. But he wrote a
- 53:31Speaker 7: wild thing. He wrote Angel of the Morning. Oh okay,
- 53:36Speaker 7: I got that shows you how famous he was, was
- 53:39Speaker 7: one of the best jays in the world. Doesn't know
- 53:41Speaker 7: who he is?
- 53:42Speaker 2: Well, I gotta be honest. I'm sitting here at iHeart
- 53:44Speaker 2: where on this floor we have the five biggest music
- 53:47Speaker 2: stations in the world, Z one hundreds over there, Light
- 53:50Speaker 2: FM and all these stations. If you walk down our hallways,
- 53:54Speaker 2: they have pictures in frames, hundreds of them along the
- 53:57Speaker 2: hallway of all the famous musical figures. I've walked up
- 54:01Speaker 2: and you'd be so impressed with these photos. Everybody in music.
- 54:05Speaker 2: I you walk around here for hours, You're not going
- 54:07Speaker 2: to find a picture of Chip Taylor in any one
- 54:09Speaker 2: of those frames.
- 54:11Speaker 7: Maybe not even in John Voyd's house brother's health.
- 54:14Speaker 2: So I kind of feel bad for the guy. So
- 54:17Speaker 2: in today's world, if he says I'm Jip Taylor, who
- 54:20Speaker 2: I'm John Voight's brother, that's a probably says this.
- 54:24Speaker 7: You did quite wild Thing, though, which is a great
- 54:26Speaker 7: was one of the great songs of the sixties.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Yeah it's okay, it's good, but it's twenty twenty six.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Go tell somebody who wrote wild Thing. They won't know
- 54:35Speaker 2: what you're talking about. Although Angel in the Morning there
- 54:39Speaker 2: was a more recent hit version of it.
- 54:41Speaker 7: Right, So right, it's it's like it's it's only fifty
- 54:44Speaker 7: years old.
- 54:45Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 54:45Speaker 2: The worst thing is to be somebody's brother, and that's
- 54:47Speaker 2: how you identify yourself.
- 54:49Speaker 7: So that's why you probably had to change his name.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but on his driver's license he said brother coma
- 54:54Speaker 2: John VODs.
- 54:55Speaker 7: So, hey, I have a quick question for so on
- 54:59Speaker 7: opening day, I told one of the waitresses where I
- 55:01Speaker 7: go the infamous Soupy Sales joke about him taking his
- 55:04Speaker 7: girlfriend to the ball game. Uh, the baseball game.
- 55:07Speaker 13: Did you know?
- 55:08Speaker 8: Soupy did very well?
- 55:10Speaker 2: He was on He was on my show a million,
- 55:12Speaker 2: probably every two weeks for years and years and years
- 55:14Speaker 2: and years. And remember we did that the Oldies Cruise
- 55:18Speaker 2: And when it was that two thousand and eight, that
- 55:20Speaker 2: was the last time he ever came out in public.
- 55:22Speaker 2: He came on the cruise with us. Wow, what is
- 55:25Speaker 2: what is the famous joke?
- 55:27Speaker 7: He took his golfriend to the baseball game? She kissed
- 55:30Speaker 7: me between the strokes. I kissed it between the strikes
- 55:32Speaker 7: and she kissed me between the.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Oh wait a minute here, that's uh hard.
- 55:38Speaker 7: Got thrown off the air for that one. Yeah, I
- 55:40Speaker 7: can say, wait, back in the day.
- 55:42Speaker 2: All right, great call, Mike, thanks for calling. Say when
- 55:45Speaker 2: we come back speaking to music, the greatest DJ of
- 55:47Speaker 2: all time, the greatest living DJ, radio legend, Scott Shannon,
- 55:52Speaker 2: and we'll talk to him about that. METS the National
- 55:55Speaker 2: Anthem was a complete disaster. We'll get to that in
- 55:59Speaker 2: a moment. That and more coming up on seven ten.
- 56:02Speaker 15: WR slugged into everything New York. Mark Simone on seven ten, w.
- 56:11Speaker 2: Well Scott Shannon, the radio legend, the greatest living D Jamie,
- 56:15Speaker 2: this guy and the greatest program director. You know. This
- 56:18Speaker 2: guy created the Morning Zoo, He created Z one hundred,
- 56:20Speaker 2: he created all sorts of stuff. Number one morning man
- 56:23Speaker 2: in New York for decades. He's still on the air
- 56:26Speaker 2: on the True Oldies channel, and he's with us now.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Scott Shannon, How you doing?
- 56:32Speaker 11: Happy to be here with Mark Simone, the always napper
- 56:35Speaker 11: radio rapper, the woor powerhouse.
- 56:39Speaker 13: Jock.
- 56:41Speaker 2: I never liked that term, Jock. You like it, right, Jock?
- 56:44Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't mind. I remember when I first came
- 56:46Speaker 11: to New York and my friend Ross Britton was with
- 56:51Speaker 11: me on and I picked him up because he had
- 56:56Speaker 11: been let loose by WABC Radio. They would doing talk radio.
- 57:00Speaker 11: Remember when they did talk radio.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I was on their.
- 57:05Speaker 11: Back now.
- 57:07Speaker 14: And then.
- 57:08Speaker 11: But he used to say, don't call me a DJ,
- 57:11Speaker 11: I'm talent here in New York. You're not a jockey
- 57:14Speaker 11: or talent. I said, no, no, your talent, I'm a
- 57:17Speaker 11: freaking DJ. And don't you help forget it. By the way, Oh,
- 57:26Speaker 11: he had an agent and everything. I didn't know what
- 57:28Speaker 11: I was doing. I just stumbled in from Tampa and
- 57:32Speaker 11: got pretty lucky, I guess. But last night the iHeartRadio
- 57:37Speaker 11: Music Awards in Hollywood, and of course.
- 57:41Speaker 2: You know who the big winner was, Gilbert O. Sullivan.
- 57:45Speaker 11: Taylor swelled, oh yeah, yeah, well but but wait a minute.
- 57:50Speaker 11: She really shook the place up when she showed up
- 57:53Speaker 11: for the first time at any awards, bank winner, any
- 57:56Speaker 11: awards ceremonies. She had her piance A Travis Kelsey with her.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Oh I think we have the clip. Wait a minute.
- 58:03Speaker 19: This album probably also feels very happy and confident and
- 58:06Speaker 19: free because that's the way that I get to feel
- 58:09Speaker 19: every single day of my life because of my fiance
- 58:13Speaker 19: who's here.
- 58:16Speaker 14: That's a pretty good endorsement for Travis.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Huh yeah, boy, Well, one career ending another one starting.
- 58:23Speaker 11: But he makes me feel free. It's pretty good. That
- 58:30Speaker 11: was the first time they have ever appeared at, you know,
- 58:32Speaker 11: one of those ceremonies.
- 58:34Speaker 2: How long do you give this marriage?
- 58:38Speaker 11: I think it's since, you know. I'm on the positive side.
- 58:41Speaker 11: I think they'll be fine. I mean, I mean, he's
- 58:47Speaker 11: when before he met her, he was a real goofball
- 58:50Speaker 11: and playboy and he kind of calmed down quite a bit.
- 58:54Speaker 11: And hey, he's got Taylor and they're going to get
- 58:56Speaker 11: married and it's gonna hopefully they'll live happily ever after.
- 59:00Speaker 11: But she got seven awards last night, the most anybody
- 59:05Speaker 11: ever got. And I don't know, maybe I don't know
- 59:08Speaker 11: how many, I don't know how many, you know, heavy
- 59:11Speaker 11: competitors she was up against.
- 59:12Speaker 17: But the big.
- 59:13Speaker 11: News in the music world is a new Paul McCartney album.
- 59:18Speaker 11: This one's a little bit different than the ones he's
- 59:21Speaker 11: done before, because this time he goes back in time
- 59:25Speaker 11: and talks about himself and meeting John Lennon and the
- 59:30Speaker 11: fact that they grew up together. The name of the
- 59:33Speaker 11: albums the Boys of Dungeon Lane, and it's all about
- 59:37Speaker 11: meeting together and sticking together writing all those songs. And
- 59:42Speaker 11: he's got fourteen tracks on this album. You can get
- 59:45Speaker 11: away with nine or ten easily these days, but he's
- 59:49Speaker 11: got fourteen tracks. Comes out May twenty ninth, and the
- 59:53Speaker 11: first single from the album is kind of like snuck Out.
- 59:58Speaker 11: It's called The Day We Left Behind. Here's a little
- 1:00:03Speaker 11: clip problem.
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: Do you like it?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Here?
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: It is?
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: You like it?
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: That's McCartney playing right, so far, so good.
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: Yeah, I think it flashes back, but I mean it's
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: got it's got a great theme to it, and it's
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: you know, it's him kind of I guess pouring forth
- 1:00:25Speaker 11: about him growing up when they were kids, and I
- 1:00:28Speaker 11: don't know, you saw the the series where he took back.
- 1:00:33Speaker 11: He went back and showed everybody where he lived and
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: some of the pubs he would sing in and all
- 1:00:38Speaker 11: that kind of thing. I think this is going to
- 1:00:42Speaker 11: be probably the best album he's done in a few years.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Well all right, but he didn't set the bar very
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: high album wise in the last few years. And I
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: don't mean, I'm not picking on him. It's just when
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: you're the superstar, legend Elder Statesman, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Paul McCartney, you can tour the world and it's incredible.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: But you not going to have hit albums anymore, are you?
- 1:01:02Speaker 12: No?
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: You know?
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: Now, that's what I remember. Billy actually told me this
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: when uh he was talking to Elton John and and
- 1:01:13Speaker 11: and Elton John's I'm busy working on my new album,
- 1:01:16Speaker 11: Billy and Billy said, once you just open up the
- 1:01:18Speaker 11: window and piss out and throw all your money out
- 1:01:21Speaker 11: the window. He didn't know, you know, he said, people
- 1:01:24Speaker 11: want to hear our old songs, Elton and you know,
- 1:01:30Speaker 11: and that's how that's how most you see people like
- 1:01:33Speaker 11: you know, def Leopard, they work hard. They put this
- 1:01:36Speaker 11: new album out. He probably didn't even know what out there.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Did you. Paul McCartney, where is this going to get played?
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: This album?
- 1:01:46Speaker 11: He doesn't need No, they're not going to play it
- 1:01:49Speaker 11: on Z one hundred and it's not an oldie, so
- 1:01:51Speaker 11: you can't play it on my network. But you know,
- 1:01:54Speaker 11: I'll play it a couple of times and enjoy it,
- 1:01:56Speaker 11: and I hope it turns out, you know, like you said,
- 1:01:59Speaker 11: he's Paul McCartney. He's going to sell out, There's no
- 1:02:02Speaker 11: doubt about it. Yeah, that's that's and this is good.
- 1:02:05Speaker 11: And he's really working on a marketing in this one
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: because it's very special to him, and you can get it.
- 1:02:12Speaker 11: Get it in vinyl. He's got seven different color vinyl
- 1:02:17Speaker 11: albums you can order.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Okay, I know it.
- 1:02:22Speaker 11: Don't pick your color, all right? So I tell you
- 1:02:25Speaker 11: till you're downe with Paul.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Somebody should tell him. Maybe it's twenty twenty six. Maybe
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: tell him, let him know, Yeah, I will.
- 1:02:32Speaker 11: You know what, I think it's going to be a
- 1:02:34Speaker 11: number one album. I really do.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Well, you're the expert. Hey, right, great, that's yesterday.
- 1:02:42Speaker 11: That was crazy, wasn't.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: People have messed up the national anthem before? But this
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: guy is a big Broadway star. To be on Broadway
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: every night, you got to be good at memorizing lyrics.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: What happened?
- 1:02:52Speaker 11: He was George? I think he played George Washington, didn't he?
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:02:56Speaker 11: I think that's Christopher Jackson his name. He's got a
- 1:02:58Speaker 11: Tony on his handle at home, and he's he's he
- 1:03:03Speaker 11: did the national anthem at the Yankees before. He knows
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: what he's doing. But he had a little bit of
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: a glitch at City Field. Here's what it sounded like.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: What's so proudly we.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: Have the Twilight lass whose.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Broad strives and ride stars through the pairs. Fine, what's
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: so truly.
- 1:03:38Speaker 15: Wors so guny stream?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: The crowd booing a little there?
- 1:03:44Speaker 11: So well, I got to tell you something. He came.
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: He really handled it well. He uh he talked to
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: TMS Sports. He said that will not keep him from
- 1:03:57Speaker 11: doing the national anthem in the future. He said, I've
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: done the national anthem countless times in stadiums around the country.
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: Today was a beautiful opening day and I was thrilled
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: to be there.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: He said.
- 1:04:11Speaker 11: Look, he says, I'm human, but I won't hesitate to
- 1:04:14Speaker 11: step up to a microphone and paid tribute to those
- 1:04:17Speaker 11: that we honor with the anthem. So you know, it
- 1:04:22Speaker 11: does happen.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: He played George Washington and Hamilton. But in his defense,
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: when George Washington's present, there was no national anthem. It
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: wasn't written until years later.
- 1:04:31Speaker 11: But he's not really George.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 1:04:36Speaker 11: But I'm gott to tell you the greatest story that
- 1:04:39Speaker 11: I've seen in a long time. Happened what last week?
- 1:04:45Speaker 11: It was a guy the quadra is a quadruple amputee
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: who happens to also be a professional corn hole player.
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: What he Yeah, you mustn't missed this dayton Ware where
- 1:05:00Speaker 11: he's like twenty seven years old. He's got no arms
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: and no legs, and he hadn't had him. He had
- 1:05:06Speaker 11: some kind of fever when he was a kid, and
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: an infection and all that. They took off his arms
- 1:05:11Speaker 11: and legs. But he doesn't let that stop him. He
- 1:05:15Speaker 11: actually goes to the firing range. He can shoot a gun.
- 1:05:19Speaker 11: He plays cornhole, he loves it. But Sunday night in Maryland,
- 1:05:25Speaker 11: he was riding along, right, He's driving the damn car.
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: Remember he's got no arms and no lady. He's driving
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: the car. He's got a guy riding shotgun, two guys
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: in the back seat. Somehow he got into an argument
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: with the guy in the front seat with him. He
- 1:05:43Speaker 11: pulled out a gun and shoots him while he's driving
- 1:05:45Speaker 11: down the road. He kills him good.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: So he drive a car with what what does he
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: drive the car with?
- 1:05:53Speaker 11: I don't know. Maybe he's driving a Tesla. I don't know,
- 1:05:57Speaker 11: one of those self drive cars. But listen to this.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: He pulled over.
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: The two guys in the backseat of already to poop
- 1:06:04Speaker 11: their pants. He just shot a guy. He murdered a
- 1:06:07Speaker 11: guy in the front seat. He tells him to get
- 1:06:10Speaker 11: out and take the body with him. They said, no,
- 1:06:14Speaker 11: tell you what, We're going to get out, but we're
- 1:06:16Speaker 11: not taking the body. They take off running and I
- 1:06:20Speaker 11: don't know how long they ran, but they ran into
- 1:06:23Speaker 11: a top car and he thought they told them what
- 1:06:26Speaker 11: was going on. Now, this is Dayton Weber. The guy
- 1:06:30Speaker 11: he shot was Braderick Michael Wells twenty seven bout twenty seven.
- 1:06:36Speaker 11: And then what happened. I don't know how he did
- 1:06:39Speaker 11: this either. He pulled into a residential area and somehow
- 1:06:44Speaker 11: managed to get the body out of the front seat
- 1:06:47Speaker 11: into some guy's yard.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: All right, sounds like an episode of Breaking Bad. Sounds
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: like Walter White.
- 1:06:53Speaker 11: Wa wait a minute's not over yet. He keeps driving.
- 1:06:58Speaker 11: He drives the Charlotteville, Virginia. No one's caught him yet.
- 1:07:02Speaker 11: He was checked in. He went in and check it,
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: and he went into the emergency room at the hospital.
- 1:07:07Speaker 11: He needed treatment for something. I don't know what it was,
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: and that's where the cops got him. But I mean,
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: think about that just for a second. It's hard to
- 1:07:17Speaker 11: even drive a car. And then he shoots a guy
- 1:07:19Speaker 11: and then he pulled him out of the car and
- 1:07:22Speaker 11: jumps him in somebody's yard.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Unbelievable. Hey, Scott Shannon, we're out of time. We'll have
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: to continue this. We'll do it again soon. Hey, if
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: you want to listen to the True Oldies Channel, it's

- 1:08:20Speaker 2: a little disruption. Tie up the street with the nose
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: ring crowd will be out there. The green haired nosering
