• 6:10
  Speaker 1: to Rome. Paul went before Caesar and Nero Paul had

  Speaker 1: an opportunity to testify and to defend himself. Paul was

  Speaker 1: given the liberties and freedoms. But even the Roman world
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: noticed that this faith, this sect they called it, was
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: taken over and spreading and taking over the world. And

  Speaker 1: Paul had the opportunity as one of the ringleaders to

  Speaker 1: spread the gospel in Rome. So now we see Paul

  Speaker 1: still in Chaine. He is still a prisoner, but that
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: doesn't hinder or stop the work of almighty Gods. So

  Speaker 1: let's jump into it in verse seventeen. And it came

  Speaker 1: to pass after three days that Paul called the leaders

  Speaker 1: of the Jews together. Amen. Amen. So he came to

  Speaker 1: he immediately reaches out to the Jewish leaders to share

  Speaker 1: the truth. Now Paul just arrives in Rome, right, and

  Speaker 1: what does he do first? When he arrives. He didn't complain,

  Speaker 1: He wasn't bitter, He didn't talk about self pitying the purpose,

  Speaker 1: and this is powerful. Some people stop serving after hardship,

  Speaker 1: but Paul kept preaching. Paul kept fulfilling his purpose. Paul

  Speaker 1: kept pursuing the plan of God in his life. Amen,

  Speaker 1: Why when they had examined me, to let me go,
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: because there was no cause for putting me to death.

  Speaker 1: But when the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything of

  Speaker 1: whish to accuse my nation of For this reason, therefore

  Speaker 1: Curiosity opened the door. Once again. People had opinions about

  Speaker 1: the sect, but now they would hear the truth first hand. Right.

  Speaker 1: Never underestimate what happens when people encounter authentic faith directly

  Speaker 1: Amen verse twenty three. So when they had appointed him
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: a day, many came to him at his lodging, to
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: whom he explained and solemnly testified of the Kingdom of God,
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: and the prophets from morning till evening. And some were
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.

  Speaker 1: So when they did not agree amongst themselves, they departed.

  Speaker 1: After Paul had said one word, The Holy Spirit spoke

  Speaker 1: right through Isaiah the Prophet to our fathers. Let me

  Speaker 1: say that again, The Holy Spirit spoke rightly. Excuse me,

  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the Prophet concerning

  Speaker 1: our father saying go to this people and say hearing,

  Speaker 1: you will hear and shall not understand. And seeing, you

  Speaker 1: will see and not proceed. For the hearts of this
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: people have grown dull. The ears are hard of hearing,

  Speaker 1: and their eyes they have closed. Less. They should see

  Speaker 1: them with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest

  Speaker 1: they should understand with their hearts in turn, so that

  Speaker 1: I should heal them. Therefore, let it be known to

  Speaker 1: So when they had appointed him a day, many came

  Speaker 1: to him at his lodging. Now Paul taught extensively from
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: both the law and the prophets, providing and proving that
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: Jesus was the fulfillment of the scripture. Remember, even Jesus

  Speaker 1: himself disputing with the Pharisees and Sadducees and said that
• 14:07
  Speaker 1: the volume of the book was written of me. This

  Speaker 1: book is to appoint us to Jesus Christ and guide

  Speaker 1: us in having a relationship with them. Now, Paul preached
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: all day. Now, how many of us would love to
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: go to a church that preached all day? Now. I've
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: heard of churches back in the old school days where
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: you would go in the morning and don't get out
• 14:35
  Speaker 1: until late in the evening. And actually, the first time
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: I went to the church I attended, I went like
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: ten o'clock in the morning, and I didn't get out
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: until like four or five the evening, and I had
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: to go directly to club his hop and teach Bible
• 14:55
  Speaker 1: study for six o'clock. I had to like rush right
• 14:58
  Speaker 1: over there after I attended that church. So I've experienced
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: something similar to that now all day. Man, I imagine
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: the message that he taught. I would love to have
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: heard it. Amen, And this shows hunger and the people.
• 15:18
  Speaker 1: And notice this he used scripture to point to Jesus.
• 15:22
  Speaker 1: Everything in the word immediately points back to Christ. Don't
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: miss that. Let that sit in your spirit. I'm gonna
• 15:30
  Speaker 1: say that again. Everything in the word ultimately points back
• 15:36
  Speaker 1: to our Lord and our Savior, hallelujah, Verse twenty four.

  Speaker 1: And some were persuaded by the things which were spoken,
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: and some disbelieve. Now the gospel always produces division. You
• 15:56
  Speaker 1: can't get around it. Some received truth, while others rejected.

  Speaker 1: That's just human nature. That is just the way things flow.

  Speaker 1: You'll get some that will be on your side and
• 16:11
  Speaker 1: some that will be opposing to the Gospel of Christ.

  Speaker 1: And this still happens today. Some believe in some don't.
• 16:23
  Speaker 1: Not everybody will receive the truth. Your responsibility is faithfulness,
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: not controlling people's response. All you have to do is
• 16:37
  Speaker 1: be a faithful witness. And you're not there. You're not
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: responsible for the results. Once you've shared the truth, then
• 16:47
  Speaker 1: the blood is on their hands. Amen. Verse twenty seven.

  Speaker 1: Now the Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet.

  Speaker 1: Now Paul quoted Isaiah to explain spiritual blindness and hardness
• 17:07
  Speaker 1: of heart amongst those who rejected the message. Now this

  Speaker 1: is kind of scary here, right, I pray that none
• 17:19
  Speaker 1: of us will find ourselves in this category, category of
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: hardening our hearts towards God and towards the gospel. Now,
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: let's take a look at this. This is serious. Paul
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: talks about people hearing but not understanding, seeing but not perceiving.

  Speaker 1: A hardened heart blocks spiritual vision. Let me say that again,
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: a hardened heart blocks spiritual vision. That's why humility matters

  Speaker 1: so much. We need to find ourselves humble before the
• 18:03
  Speaker 1: throne of God. Pride can keep people from receiving the truth.

  Speaker 1: Pride will tell you that you don't need nobody. Pride
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: will tell you that you're the captain of your own ship.

  Speaker 1: That's like the theme song of hell. Your way is

  Speaker 1: not all that belove it. Your way will lead you

  Speaker 1: to destruction. We need to find out God's will, and

  Speaker 1: we need to be pursuing the will of our Father

  Speaker 1: each and every day. Amen, And I include myself in that.

  Speaker 1: We need to come up on seeking the Lord and

  Speaker 1: making him our top priority. Verse two. Therefore, let it

  Speaker 1: be known to you that the salvation of God has

  Speaker 1: been sent to the gentiles, and they will hear it. Amen, hallelujah.

  Speaker 1: If you are not Jewish, that you you are gentile.

  Speaker 1: And the Gospel of Christ has been sent to us

  Speaker 1: for like over two thousand years. Amen. And I'm thankful

  Speaker 1: for Israel. But even in the Book of Romes, it

  Speaker 1: says that their fullness would be gained for the whole world. Amen. Now,

  Speaker 1: the Gospel was expanding beyond Israel unto the entire world,

  Speaker 1: exactly as God has intended it. Amen. The kingdom expansion

  Speaker 1: salvation wasn't limited to one group of people. The Gospel

  Speaker 1: is for everybody, every nation, every background, every broken person.

  Speaker 1: Jesus came for you. Jesus came for me. Jesus came

  Speaker 1: for all of us. Hey, man, we need to put

  Speaker 1: a praise right there. Jesus came for you. Jesus came

  Speaker 1: for me. Jesus came for all of us. That's a
• 20:30

  Speaker 1: Verse twenty nine. And when he has said these words,

  Speaker 1: the Jews departed and had great dispute amongst themselves. Now

  Speaker 1: truth force people to wrestle internally. The message of Jesus

  Speaker 1: always demands a response. Hallelujah. Every time we share Christ,

  Speaker 1: we should be leading people to a response. Now, what

  Speaker 1: happened here? The message stirred up conversations. Real truth disrupts

  Speaker 1: our comfort zone. The Gospel challenges people to decide, are

  Speaker 1: you on the Lord's side? Is the question? Amen? Birset

  Speaker 1: thirty and thirty one. Then Paul dwelt two whole years

  Speaker 1: in his own rented house, preaching the Kingdom of God

  Speaker 1: and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ,

  Speaker 1: with all confidence and no one forbidding him. Now this

  Speaker 1: is a great way to close out the chapter. We

  Speaker 1: leave Paul the apostle preaching the Gospel and teaching the Word.

  Speaker 1: The Book of Acts ends with a victory. This is
• 22:28
  Speaker 1: not a defeat. Even though Paul was on the guard.

  Speaker 1: The Gospel remained unhindered. Paul won a great many of people.

  Speaker 1: This ended can power. Paul is still technically imprisoned. Yet
• 22:51
  Speaker 1: the final words are with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

  Speaker 1: That means storms couldn't stop it, change couldn't stop it,

  Speaker 1: persecution could not stop it. The Gospel kept moving an
• 23:09
  Speaker 1: Acts ends almost open ended. Because the mission continues through us.

  Speaker 1: We are now a part of the story and the
• 23:23
  Speaker 1: other Gospels, and even in the Apostles and books. Most
• 23:32
  Speaker 1: likely you will see them end with the words Amen.
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: There is no amen in the Book of Acts. We
• 23:40
  Speaker 1: are the Amen. The acts of the Apostles are still
• 23:45
  Speaker 1: active even today. And man, God has a plan, he
• 23:50
  Speaker 1: has a purpose. He wants you to carry the message
• 23:55
  Speaker 1: of Jesus Christ and share the goodness of the Lord,
• 24:00
  Speaker 1: our Savior. Amen. Now what I want you to do
