- 0:06Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:06Speaker 3: People love all of those things.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Right, And the survey questions are not bad. The trivia questions,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I think are awful. There are two trivia questions. Which
- 0:17Speaker 1: river is damned by the Hoover dam the Colorado?
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Hoover dam Yeah.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Which element makes up ninety percent of the known universe?
- 0:33Speaker 4: It'd be either.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yeah, hydrogen. You're absolutely absolutely right. So that's they seem
- 0:42Speaker 1: too easy to me.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it took you a second, but I
- 0:45Speaker 2: knew you'd get it.
- 0:45Speaker 4: I'm just like, couldn't be carbon.
- 0:47Speaker 1: No, So, but the polls are kind of interesting. In
- 0:52Speaker 1: a survey of two thousand US adults, Okay, what is
- 0:56Speaker 1: your favorite v acation destination?
- 1:03Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Thirty four percent? And then and then you can chime in, Okay,
- 1:08Speaker 1: pick Maui. Oh's a good choice.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Top romantic?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Oh, top romantic. That's specific.
- 1:14Speaker 1: They didn't you know, they didn't specify that before I
- 1:17Speaker 1: read it, so, but I guess that's what they meant.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Top romanticin Oh, I got I got married there.
- 1:23Speaker 3: That's pretty romantic.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Thirty three percent chose Paris, Yes, twenty nine percent picked Rome.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I went to Rome earlier this year. I would agree.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I would.
- 1:36Speaker 1: As for a romantic destination, I would. I would pick
- 1:41Speaker 1: my bedroom.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I wouldn't have.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Really, you don't think that's a romantic I haven't been
- 1:47Speaker 1: to Rome, but I understand it's kind of noisy and dirty.
- 1:49Speaker 4: And yeah, I didn't think romance.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Romance you think, what do you think Paris? When do
- 1:56Speaker 3: you think? You think Paris? But that's a big city, that's.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's it's but it's Paris Is.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Geene.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It's nicer than I.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Haven't been to Paris.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It's lovely, yeah, I you know, I guess I really
- 2:12Speaker 1: with How about the avenues.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Like here just up the street, Yeah, the avenue.
- 2:19Speaker 1: The romance well no, no, I mean the upper avenues
- 2:22Speaker 1: where the homes are even nicer.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Because when I think romantic destination, I think, you know,
- 2:27Speaker 5: walking hand in hand.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Yeah, on a white.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Beach or street like when you have the flu huh
- 2:35Speaker 5: oh my way, yeah oh.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, letsie.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So here beachy locations that people find romantic are beachy
- 2:42Speaker 1: beachy locations that people say a romantic nineteen percent say
- 2:46Speaker 1: cancun mm hmm.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Thirteen percent said, and I would agree with this. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: love this Costa Rica, that coast You guys haven't been
- 2:57Speaker 1: to coast Roa.
- 2:58Speaker 2: No, it's oh man beautiful.
- 3:01Speaker 4: And I there are Gates.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, Howler monkeys.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Is that romantic? I don't know if that's.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Romance howler monkeys or just monkeys in general. I mean
- 3:11Speaker 1: Carrie monkeys are always, always, always romantic. Gate and the
- 3:15Speaker 1: twelve percent say the British Virgin Islands, yes, now here,
- 3:21Speaker 1: this is this is good for you, Gina and okay.
- 3:24Speaker 1: In a survey of twelve hundred and so anyway adults,
- 3:28Speaker 1: would you describe yourself as a people pleaser? Well, eleven
- 3:33Speaker 1: percent say they definitely would, thirty eight percent probably, thirty
- 3:36Speaker 1: one probably would not, sixteen percent definitely would not, five
- 3:40Speaker 1: percent said huh.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Only eleven percent said definitely.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely a people pleaser.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I I am, but I aspire to not be. I
- 3:52Speaker 5: don't I want to start saying no.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I wish you would, great.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Katie, I, but it's hard when you have put yourself
- 4:01Speaker 5: out as the people pleaser your whole life, people expect that.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Except from you.
- 4:08Speaker 1: What you do is you sort of ease off of it,
- 4:11Speaker 1: so they don't really notice until maybe somebody will know.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You know, Gina hasn't said yes to anything in weeks?
- 4:17Speaker 3: What's wrong with her? Yeah?
- 4:18Speaker 1: Now you Now, do you think other people would describe
- 4:22Speaker 1: you as a people pleaser?
- 4:23Speaker 2: Nine percent say you ask other people, yes.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Other people definitely would. Thirty three percent said yeah, probably
- 4:32Speaker 1: people would say I'm a people pleaser, twenty nine percent
- 4:35Speaker 1: said probably would not, fifteen percent said definitely would not,
- 4:39Speaker 1: fourteen percent not sure. So I think most people would
- 4:42Speaker 1: say you are a people pleaser.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I think people Yeah, I think people would say, yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 4: People they would I am not a people pleaser.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I would think people would not.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I am a gate pleaser.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I would think people would not consider you a people
- 5:00Speaker 1: pleaser now now, which does not make it a bad thing.
- 5:04Speaker 2: It's just now.
- 5:05Speaker 5: I would, on the flip side, say Bill is maybe
- 5:09Speaker 5: more of a people pleaser than you would think he is. Yes, uh,
- 5:14Speaker 5: there are often times there are things here at work, specifically,
- 5:19Speaker 5: or Carrie and I are like no, no, and Bill's like, oh,
- 5:24Speaker 5: all right, it's true.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Conversely, Katie says that she's gotten better at saying no
- 5:32Speaker 4: since getting this job.
- 5:35Speaker 5: No you haven't, I need to though, because what I'm
- 5:40Speaker 5: feeling like my time is more valuable than I have
- 5:46Speaker 5: given it credit for and the more and every day
- 5:50Speaker 5: you're losing more of it, you know.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And I'm I'm endeavoring to be more selfish with my.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Is it important to you that you feel that people
- 6:02Speaker 1: like you?
- 6:04Speaker 5: It's important for me to feel like people think I
- 6:07Speaker 5: am easy to deal with.
- 6:10Speaker 3: M Well, gene is not a problem.
- 6:13Speaker 2: That's I like to think. I like to think that
- 6:16Speaker 2: people like me.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I don't care if people like me, and I think.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I really care if people like me or not.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I want people to think, uh uh, I'm not a.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Problem too much. I care too much whether people like
- 6:31Speaker 1: me or not. Right, Carrie, I think you've even said
- 6:38Speaker 1: that to me before.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I have accused you of being a little too I
- 6:44Speaker 4: don't want to use the word naive, but.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not quite right, not quite right, but I
- 6:49Speaker 1: know what you mean. Go along, Yeah, just willing to
- 6:53Speaker 1: say okay, I'll go along with that.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah, just unearned trust, unearned trust that long to get
- 7:00Speaker 5: along there.
- 7:01Speaker 3: We have had.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Instances where we're like, I can't believe Bill is going
- 7:06Speaker 5: thinks that's no, that's not okay, Bill, because they're not
- 7:09Speaker 5: good people.
- 7:10Speaker 3: This is not a good situation. And you're like, no, no,
- 7:12Speaker 3: I'm sure they're fine. No, they're not.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I'm willing. I want.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I want to, I do, I really do want to
- 7:19Speaker 1: believe the best in everyone. That's somebody that almost everyone
- 7:23Speaker 1: has a good quality somewhere.
- 7:26Speaker 4: But then I have to keep reminding him he works
- 7:28Speaker 4: in radio.
- 7:30Speaker 2: You think they would have been.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Now, yeah, people pleaser?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Not I don't.
- 7:36Speaker 1: I don't think I'm a people pleaser, but I think
- 7:40Speaker 1: maybe it's the same thing.
- 7:41Speaker 2: That I want people to like me please.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't care if people.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Well, But but then you wouldn't be a people pleaser.
- 7:53Speaker 1: If you don't care if people like you, then what
- 7:55Speaker 1: the hell do you Why do you keep trying to
- 7:57Speaker 1: please them?
- 7:58Speaker 3: Because it's easier.
- 8:00Speaker 5: It's easier, harder to say no, because then you have
- 8:03Speaker 5: to justify why you're saying no.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Not after you say no a few times.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It really stop asking.
- 8:09Speaker 2: It's really easy.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just easier to do whatever it is.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I have gotten better at saying no, and I used
- 8:17Speaker 4: to try to make up excuses as to why I
- 8:19Speaker 4: wouldn't do something. I don't even bother with that.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Are you okay, just saying no, I'm leaving it at that.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I just will say no, I'm not interested.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I've even heard carry ad. They'll say, But why say
- 8:32Speaker 1: because I don't want to?
- 8:34Speaker 5: I can't because I I cater to everybody else and
- 8:38Speaker 5: what they want to do.
- 8:39Speaker 3: It's never what I want to do. That's a weird
- 8:42Speaker 3: place to be.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Well, it's a place, a place where a lot of
- 8:45Speaker 1: people are, and you should fight your way.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Out of the start out with this one. I'm just
- 8:49Speaker 4: not interested.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Why aren't you interested?
- 8:53Speaker 4: I'm just not.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It must be a fa that you answer that with. Well,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I know it must be some kind of failing in
- 8:58Speaker 1: me that I'm just not interested in you or your
- 9:01Speaker 1: agenda or anything that you have to say. But that's
- 9:05Speaker 1: probably a failing in me, not that you're boring. It's
- 9:08Speaker 1: a failing in me that I can't I can't really
- 9:12Speaker 1: apprehend and understand why you think you're interesting, because you're not.
- 9:17Speaker 2: At least to me.
- 9:18Speaker 5: My opinion and my comfort and my wants are always
- 9:25Speaker 5: the last on my mind, and I'm tired of that.
- 9:30Speaker 2: But that's see, that's not true.
- 9:32Speaker 3: What do you mean that's not true?
- 9:33Speaker 1: Because you think that they're always the first thing on
- 9:36Speaker 1: your mind, and you because that's the first thing, that's
- 9:42Speaker 1: the first thing that pops into your mind.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Is No, I don't want to do that. I don't
- 9:46Speaker 2: think we should do that. Okay, well, but.
- 9:50Speaker 5: But if we don't, we're going to hear about it,
- 9:53Speaker 5: so I guess we'll just do it.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I'm just not interested.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's not interested.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I know, I know it sounds interesting to you, but
- 10:05Speaker 1: it isn't interesting to them.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Well then is it that putting them down? Yes, that's
- 10:12Speaker 3: the part I have.
- 10:12Speaker 2: As a matter of fact.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Almost anything you think is interesting, I think is not interesting,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and I don't want to have anything to do with it.
- 10:21Speaker 4: It's just not for me.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah that's good.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's it's for people like you, not me.
- 10:30Speaker 3: It's uh yeah, I'm really going to try.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Well, all right, I really am. All right.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You want me to not today, You want me to
- 10:39Speaker 1: point out when when you when you don't.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Next time I tell you I'm going to do something,
- 10:44Speaker 5: and you're going to say why are you doing that?
- 10:46Speaker 3: And I'm going to say, well, because I feel like
- 10:48Speaker 3: I should. That's the
