- 0:00Speaker 1: That was going on as Romeo. We made it back
- 0:01Speaker 1: from the weekend. We talked a little bit about passing out,
- 0:04Speaker 1: you drank too much? Where'd you pass out? And things
- 0:06Speaker 1: that you're can afford. You know that we always wanted stuff.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Once we started to make a little bit of money,
- 0:11Speaker 1: what could you afford? Finally and you were excited to buy.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Let's see, So I.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Was telling you a story about some friends of mine,
- 0:18Speaker 1: a married couple, and she cheated on him. Well, they
- 0:22Speaker 1: ended up working it out, they're staying together, and she
- 0:25Speaker 1: they were explaining it to me the other night and
- 0:27Speaker 1: she was saying how she tried to tell him and
- 0:30Speaker 1: he agreed with all this, by the way, so the
- 0:32Speaker 1: story that I'm going to tell you that she said,
- 0:33Speaker 1: he agreed with. And she said she tried to talk
- 0:37Speaker 1: to him that you're working too much, you need to
- 0:39Speaker 1: spend more time with me, you need to be at
- 0:40Speaker 1: home more, YadA, YadA, YadA. Apparently he didn't listen to that,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and so she cheated. And he told me he saw
- 0:50Speaker 1: that her cheating as a wake up call that he
- 0:54Speaker 1: was ignoring his marriage.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And so they're working it out already. Four seven good
- 1:02Speaker 2: mor than not. What's going on Bromeo.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I think it's a cheater's fault. She can make all
- 1:08Speaker 3: the excuses she wants, but at the end of the day,
- 1:10Speaker 3: you know, she chose to cheat. So I don't think
- 1:15Speaker 3: I would agree with that.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I would think that you never have to cheat. I
- 1:19Speaker 2: would agree with you on that. But my buddy, he's
- 1:23Speaker 2: making the excuse. He's taking part of the blame. So
- 1:25Speaker 2: I I don't know.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, there's a lot of things she
- 1:31Speaker 3: could have done. She could have found time to crochet,
- 1:34Speaker 3: she could have found time to cook, worked out, but
- 1:37Speaker 3: she didn't have to cheat. So your friend is a
- 1:41Speaker 3: fool for going back with her. He he She should
- 1:44Speaker 3: have took it as a red flag and got out
- 1:45Speaker 3: of the relationship. But the fact that he wants to
- 1:48Speaker 3: stay in it means that she's teleflying.
- 1:50Speaker 2: She must be beautiful. But even then, yeah, he's but
- 1:54Speaker 2: he's rich, so he's done.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Man manus rich. She can replace her.
- 2:00Speaker 1: They so you think he he bamboozled her, him, he
- 2:05Speaker 1: tricked him.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, she don't. Loyalty is worth more than anything,
- 2:10Speaker 3: and she broke that trust. So she needs to get
- 2:13Speaker 3: out of that relationship.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Okay, maybe she did Maybe she's playing Jedi mind tricks
- 2:22Speaker 1: on him, making him believe that he was to blame,
- 2:26Speaker 1: so that she's flipping the blame on him so she
- 2:31Speaker 1: can do what she wants and still keep her lifestyle.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Maybe already four two four seven to seven. Already four
- 2:38Speaker 1: two four seven to seven. Hey, roam, I say, there's
- 2:42Speaker 1: no excuse. My ex wife thought the grass was greener
- 2:45Speaker 1: on the other side, on the other side of the road,
- 2:47Speaker 1: just to find out that he was still staying with
- 2:51Speaker 1: his parents at the age of thirty five. I'm living
- 2:54Speaker 1: my best life while the struggling while while she's struggling
- 2:58Speaker 1: to keep a roof over ahead with three baby daddies
- 3:01Speaker 1: and five kids. The first three kids are mine. Two
- 3:04Speaker 1: of my kids are grown. If she would have stayed faithful,
- 3:08Speaker 1: she would have been good. Curiosity killed the cat. No
- 3:12Speaker 1: excuse if you're gonna go, if you're going to cheat,
- 3:14Speaker 1: just lead. Now, the guy that's trying to make it
- 3:17Speaker 1: work always going to have something to hang over her head.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Okay, I mean I can see what you're saying.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I just had never seen, Like I said, I just
- 3:28Speaker 1: never seen that perspective before. For this guy to say, well,
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's he needs to take accountability for the fact that
- 3:33Speaker 1: he was working all the time and wasn't paying attention
- 3:36Speaker 1: to his marriage.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So she actually cheated to get his attention.
- 3:42Speaker 1: As he put it, that made him open his eyes
- 3:44Speaker 1: to what was wrong with his marriage because she cheated,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and to want to stay in it and fix his
- 3:48Speaker 1: marriages seems a little seems like.
- 3:52Speaker 2: She's playing mind game.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Seems like she's got some sort of you know, Jedi
- 3:57Speaker 1: mind trick on him, right, at least that's the way
- 4:00Speaker 1: I see it, because she there's no other way. But
- 4:02Speaker 1: she did say she told him, She explained to him
- 4:05Speaker 1: that she needed more of his attention for him to
- 4:08Speaker 1: be home a lot more, and that didn't work. Apparently
- 4:11Speaker 1: the cheating works. So I don't know, I mean, can
- 4:16Speaker 1: you really hold it? How long can you hold cheating
- 4:19Speaker 1: over somebody's head if you decided to stay once she
- 4:22Speaker 1: decided to stay, right, I mean, I don't know. I
- 4:26Speaker 1: always think it's the cheater's fault. I don't care.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I'm trying to understand it. I'm trying to be a
- 4:32Speaker 1: little more open minded about it. But I just don't
- 4:35Speaker 1: see how it's not the cheater's fault. But he's taking
- 4:41Speaker 1: accountability and saying that it's not all her fault. So
- 4:45Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of hypnotic whatever spell she's
- 4:49Speaker 1: got over him.
- 4:50Speaker 2: All right, A fourteenth pot four seven to seven. Yeah,
- 4:57Speaker 2: it's crazy, right.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Some friends of mine they went through a little bit
- 5:01Speaker 1: of a marriage problem.
- 5:03Speaker 2: He was working a lot.
- 5:05Speaker 1: She cheated on So I ran into him and they
- 5:08Speaker 1: were telling me how they were working it out. And
- 5:10Speaker 1: apparently she told him that he needed to spend more
- 5:15Speaker 1: time with her, spend more time at home. He didn't
- 5:17Speaker 1: really listen. Now he verifies all this. We had the
- 5:20Speaker 1: conversation together that he didn't listen to her. He still
- 5:23Speaker 1: kept working and doing what he had to do. She
- 5:25Speaker 1: ended up cheating on him and that got his attention.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So apparently because of that, now he realized, Hey, I
- 5:31Speaker 1: got to spend more time with my wife, spend more
- 5:33Speaker 1: time with my marriage, and now they're working it out,
- 5:36Speaker 1: they're gonna you know, So he took accountability for her cheating. Wow.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't know if that's right or wrong.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I always blame the cheater because that's just that's just dirty. Hey, room,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you can't always have everything you want that you have
- 5:54Speaker 1: that you have a providing husband or a guy that
- 5:57Speaker 1: doesn't give you nothing.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough, Hey, good morning Romeo. Just end it.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Throw her back.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Don't let a person tell you twice that they don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: love you the whole time from meeting, having a conversation
- 6:14Speaker 1: to setting up setting up setting up a hookup before
- 6:18Speaker 1: the place of cheating. You're not once, You're not once,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you didn't once think about me. I agree with you, Room.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Cheating is the most disrespectful thing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That you can do to somebody. How do you think
- 6:30Speaker 1: cheating is going to fix a relationship? She has no excuse,
- 6:34Speaker 1: man or woman. Cheating is cheating, and that's what I.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Tend to agree.
- 6:38Speaker 1: But I'm just telling you based on their logic and
- 6:40Speaker 1: what he was saying about the fact that my wife
- 6:43Speaker 1: cheated on me because.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I wasn't there for her.
- 6:49Speaker 1: She told me I wasn't there for her, and since
- 6:52Speaker 1: I didn't fix that, she cheated and that was what
- 6:54Speaker 1: got my attention to go. You know what, Okay, I
- 6:57Speaker 1: need to fix this relationship in this marriage. I don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: know that I agree with that. He's taking responsibility and
- 7:04Speaker 1: accountability for her cheating. He's not just blaming her for cheating,
- 7:07Speaker 1: but I don't know that. I don't know. I always
- 7:12Speaker 1: think it's the cheater's fault because you can find a
- 7:14Speaker 1: way without cheating. And if you can't find a way
- 7:17Speaker 1: to get what you want without cheating, why don't you
- 7:20Speaker 1: leave already?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Four two, five four or seven to seven.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You need to understand both may both sides of the
- 7:29Speaker 1: both sides. You need to understand. They're not gonna stop
- 7:33Speaker 1: making men and women. Okay, they're not gonna stop making whoever,
- 7:37Speaker 1: whatever you're into, they're not gonna stop making those. So
- 7:41Speaker 1: if you get cheated on or you can move on,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you'll find another. If you can find a spouse once,
- 7:50Speaker 1: you can find another one. It's not that hard. Okay. Yeah,
- 7:54Speaker 1: there'll be some heartache, you'll be upset, some feelings will
- 7:57Speaker 1: be some feelings will be hurt, but you can always
- 8:00Speaker 1: find somebody else. Always we're talking about cheaters, and is
- 8:05Speaker 1: it always the cheater's fault when it comes to a relationship.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I think it always is. But I ran into some
- 8:11Speaker 1: friends of mine who she cheated on her husband. She
- 8:13Speaker 1: tried to tell him that she wasn't getting enough attention
- 8:16Speaker 1: from him, he was working too much and he didn't listen,
- 8:19Speaker 1: so she cheated and now they're working it out. He
- 8:21Speaker 1: said that was the wake up call he needed to
- 8:23Speaker 1: realize what she was going through, and he's taken basically
- 8:27Speaker 1: the bulk of the responsibility for her cheating, which seems crazy,
- 8:31Speaker 1: right all right before two point four seven to seven, Hey,
- 8:35Speaker 1: rom I was cheated on too, But I was open
- 8:38Speaker 1: for sex all the time, even when I was sick or.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Or in my time of the month. His excuse was,
- 8:45Speaker 2: it just happened.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I was drunk.
- 8:48Speaker 2: It's an accident.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And when you get got let's see, when you get
- 8:53Speaker 1: got me been emotional cheating on a guy, my husband
- 8:57Speaker 1: called it different. Oh right, And when you get you
- 9:00Speaker 1: got me emotionally cheating on a guy, my husband called
- 9:04Speaker 1: it different.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It was worse.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I physically never slept with someone. I will say that,
- 9:08Speaker 1: by the way, on top, I'm glad you brought that up,
- 9:12Speaker 1: because I think the opposite that I think emotionally cheating
- 9:16Speaker 1: on somebody is worse than just physically cheating on somebody,
- 9:20Speaker 1: because look, look how crazy people get caught up in
- 9:24Speaker 1: their feelings and their emotions, and it can drive you
- 9:26Speaker 1: to the point of just insanity. Right, So yeah, no,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I would I see what you're saying with that? Already
- 9:33Speaker 1: four two, five, four or seven seven? Just to answer
- 9:37Speaker 1: why is it different? Because why is it different because
- 9:39Speaker 1: she is the one that cheated. A woman that cheats
- 9:44Speaker 1: is disgusting. A man brags about how many people he
- 9:48Speaker 1: slept with. Women lie about it for a reason because
- 9:51Speaker 1: they know they lose value. Apples and oranges, cats and dogs,
- 9:56Speaker 1: men and women, we are not the same. I don't
- 9:58Speaker 1: know where you're going with that. Just to answer, why
- 10:01Speaker 1: is it different because she is the one that cheated?
- 10:04Speaker 2: It's not different. I don't know what you're I don't
- 10:06Speaker 2: know why you're saying it.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:08Speaker 2: It's not different? Strom how many? Uh oh, I don't
- 10:14Speaker 2: even know.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Read to Rob. I don't know what are you talking about.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Some of you guys need to some of you guys
- 10:19Speaker 1: need to just listen to the show. Read to Rob.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Today's your day to just listen. Okay, don't participate, try
- 10:26Speaker 1: again tomorrow. Ready four to two, five or seven seven.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And we were talking about cheating, right, is it ever
- 10:33Speaker 1: the fault of.
- 10:35Speaker 2: The person who got cheated on?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Because I was telling you a story about a friend
- 10:39Speaker 1: of mine, some friends of mine who are working on
- 10:40Speaker 1: their marriage. She cheated on him because he worked too much,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and she told him that, she said, Hey, you're working
- 10:46Speaker 1: too much. I need you to spend more time at
- 10:47Speaker 1: home with me and our marriage, and he didn't listen.
- 10:51Speaker 1: She cheated, and he says that was the wake up
- 10:53Speaker 1: call he needed, and so basically he took responsibility for
- 10:58Speaker 1: her cheating, which.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I don't know if I believe that at all.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of punk ass friend I got,
- 11:05Speaker 1: But damn, hey, Rome, what's up here?
- 11:09Speaker 2: Would you send me here? What's up? Rome?
- 11:11Speaker 1: I agree it's the cheater's fault. Take out your issues.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You make the decisions to cheat, leave if you can't
- 11:18Speaker 1: work it out. I don't agree that. I don't agree
- 11:23Speaker 1: that it's equal fault. I've always worked two or three jobs,
- 11:26Speaker 1: coach sports and was involved in playing sports with providing
- 11:30Speaker 1: while providing for the wife of the family, I had
- 11:33Speaker 1: to find ways to.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Still have time for the wife.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm about to celebrate twenty eight year anniversary and be
- 11:39Speaker 1: together off and on since we met ninety one. I
- 11:44Speaker 1: am no saint, and the mistakes early and it was
- 11:46Speaker 1: never her fault. We worked through things and I feel
- 11:50Speaker 1: blessed to have her, But you got to listen to
- 11:53Speaker 1: your spouse and make sure you are staying present and there.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So did you cheat on her and she stayed for them.
- 12:00Speaker 1: No one can make you stop outside your marriage, Oh
- 12:03Speaker 1: step outside your marriage.
- 12:04Speaker 2: No matter how.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Bad you think it is, you ultimately made the choice
- 12:11Speaker 1: on your own.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Can't blame the one who didn't cheat.
- 12:14Speaker 1: You can work it out through coming through a therapist's
- 12:18Speaker 1: point of view. Depends on the one who didn't cheat.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Everyone makes mistakes in life, and you can't tell someone
- 12:23Speaker 1: else they should have left if they choose to stay
- 12:26Speaker 1: and work it out. Some can forgive that and some can't.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Have a blessed one. Raider James, Yeah, Raider James is
- 12:34Speaker 1: usually very sensible, and I usually take Raid James's advice
- 12:39Speaker 1: to heart because he's usually pretty good. But I don't know, man,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I think cheating is the one thing you can't forgive,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and you can't forget, and you can't I don't think
- 12:55Speaker 1: for my buddy to say that that was the wake
- 12:58Speaker 1: up call they needed and now it's better, I don't know.
- 13:02Speaker 1: We've been talking about some close friends of mine. They
- 13:06Speaker 1: went through a little bit of a downturn in their marriage.
- 13:10Speaker 1: She cheated on him, and I ran into him hat
- 13:14Speaker 1: and talked to him in a while. But I ran
- 13:15Speaker 1: into him the other night, and they're getting back together.
- 13:18Speaker 1: They're staying together, they're going to work it out. Apparently.
- 13:21Speaker 1: The way they broke it down to me was he
- 13:23Speaker 1: basically blamed himself for her cheating. He basically said she
- 13:28Speaker 1: was saying she didn't get enough attention, She didn't have time,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you know, he was too busy working, which yeah, he
- 13:35Speaker 1: was two by working, didn't pay enough attention to her,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and she told him that he didn't.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Fix it, so she cheated.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Basically, he's saying that he that was his wake up call,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that was what made him realize that this was serious.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And so now they're.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Working it out, which I mean, it sounds to me
- 13:53Speaker 1: like she just straight bamboozled him into thinking that he
- 13:57Speaker 1: was wrong. She just played some Jedi mind trick on
- 14:00Speaker 1: them and made him believe he was wrong.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Because cheating, it's always the cheater's fault. Always.
- 14:05Speaker 1: You're telling me one conversation, there's not something else to do,
- 14:10Speaker 1: there's not another way to figure it out.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Cheating was the only way to get it done.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I mean, come on, I don't know if I can
- 14:16Speaker 1: believe that. Already four two five four seven A roam
- 14:20Speaker 1: I need to ask you about the people you know,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and you're talking about how much.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Money do they have?
- 14:24Speaker 1: Is there any chance you said he works a lot?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Is there any chance he's just staying together with her
- 14:29Speaker 1: because it's cheaper to keep her than it is to
- 14:31Speaker 1: have to give her half of everything?
- 14:34Speaker 2: And does she work or not? Yeah?
- 14:38Speaker 1: No, she does not work, and he is makes very
- 14:43Speaker 1: very very very very very good money. So I never
- 14:47Speaker 1: occurred to me to ask him that, But maybe you're right.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Next time I talk to him, I'll ask him if
- 14:52Speaker 1: he's just staying with her because he doesn't want to
- 14:55Speaker 1: give her.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Half of stuff.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah. No, she doesn't work and he pays all the bills.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But he's very wealthy. I mean, yeah, he makes a
- 15:01Speaker 1: lot of money. Already four two five four seven to
- 15:04Speaker 1: seven A roam dumper a woman that actually in love
- 15:07Speaker 1: would communicate her feelings because the relationship is important to her.
- 15:12Speaker 1: He's choosing to he's choosing to cheat tell or her
- 15:15Speaker 1: choosing to cheat tells him everything he needs to know
- 15:18Speaker 1: about her. Once a cheat, are always a cheat? Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: And what happens again? What happens if.
- 15:23Speaker 2: He works too much?
- 15:24Speaker 1: You know, I mean, is there now there's no what's
- 15:27Speaker 1: she's got the upper hand on him now instead of
- 15:30Speaker 1: equality in the relationship, I mean, what do you do
- 15:33Speaker 1: you know?
- 15:34Speaker 2: Did he not work so much when.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You married him?
- 15:36Speaker 2: That's the other thing, you know. I just yeah, I.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Think she's got him wrapped around his finger, under some
- 15:42Speaker 1: sort of spell that he doesn't believe there's not somebody
- 15:45Speaker 1: else better than her out there, and he can't go
- 15:47Speaker 1: get one. You can't already four two five, four, seven
- 15:51Speaker 1: to seven. Let's see, Rome. Hey, it's in a man's
- 15:56Speaker 1: biology and DNA to cheat and to be with more
- 15:59Speaker 1: than one women. It's second nature to us. Rome, prove
- 16:03Speaker 1: me wrong. You won't. Oh, you're an idiot. I just
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'll just say that right now. That's the toughest thing
- 16:10Speaker 1: I've ever heard. Hey, Rome, what do you got here?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, this was Raider James that sent me this. Okay,
- 16:17Speaker 1: he says, But Rome, the person who cheated on, Oh wait,
- 16:21Speaker 1: hold on. The person who is cheated on will never
- 16:25Speaker 1: forget it, and we'll think about it off and on
- 16:29Speaker 1: for the rest of their life. Multiple things will trigger
- 16:31Speaker 1: that thought. Be ready, for them to be upset at
- 16:34Speaker 1: times and mad at you out of the blue. You
- 16:37Speaker 1: get to deal with that because you made the mistake.
- 16:41Speaker 1: If you can't, then find ways to move on, find
- 16:44Speaker 1: ways to co parent as friends. If either one can
- 16:48Speaker 1: deal with the future, can't deal with the future, arguments
- 16:51Speaker 1: and it's coming back up at times. Well, that's why
- 16:54Speaker 1: I said, I don't think people will ever get over it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: If you're anybody who cheats, you're never going to get
- 16:59Speaker 1: over it. You may say you do, you may stay
- 17:01Speaker 1: with the person for whatever justifications you made to yourself
- 17:05Speaker 1: in your head, but you're still gonna always think about
- 17:08Speaker 1: it anytime. I like Gad James's thought process, it's gonna trigger.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So what do you do? You know you have to
- 17:15Speaker 1: get over Once you decide to stay with the person
- 17:17Speaker 1: that cheated.
- 17:18Speaker 2: On you, you have.
- 17:19Speaker 1: To just erase it from your memory. There's nothing you
- 17:22Speaker 1: can do about it but erase it from your memory.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And because you decided to stay there at that point,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it's on you, not the cheater.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Bro.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I used to go to ranch parties back.
- 17:33Speaker 1: In the day, and one day I got so drunk
- 17:35Speaker 1: and passed out in the chicken coop.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Up with hay in my hair.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Oh man, there's nothing better than a story, a great
- 17:47Speaker 1: story where you passed out somewhere right already, four two, five, four,
- 17:50Speaker 1: seven to seven. I'll tell you a story. I passed
- 17:54Speaker 1: out in a friend of mine's room. We were at
- 17:55Speaker 1: the wind and we got so drunk. I passed out
- 17:59Speaker 1: in his bed. Him and his wife slept on the couch. Well,
- 18:02Speaker 1: our rooms looked similar, so I thought I was in
- 18:05Speaker 1: my room. I didn't know what was going on. I
- 18:07Speaker 1: was freaked out, didn't have no pants on. It was crazy,
- 18:10Speaker 1: all right, goo morning, how I was going on?
- 18:11Speaker 6: Hey, I want to tell you about one of the
- 18:13Speaker 6: times that I passed out.
- 18:14Speaker 2: And he said, you said one of the times?
- 18:16Speaker 3: Okay, okay, what's the best one.
- 18:19Speaker 6: So I was in Vegas for my twenty first birthday
- 18:22Speaker 6: with my sister, and we were there for like four days,
- 18:25Speaker 6: and I go on the fourth day, we switched hotels
- 18:27Speaker 6: and I was drunk when we switched hotels. So we
- 18:31Speaker 6: switched hotels. I'd never make it up to the room
- 18:33Speaker 6: because I'd go drinking and gambling. By the end of
- 18:36Speaker 6: the night, I left with someone and I left my
- 18:40Speaker 6: phone somewhere. My room key somewhere. I woke up in
- 18:44Speaker 6: his hotel at the hard Rock. I had no idea
- 18:47Speaker 6: who I was with, where I was at.
- 18:49Speaker 7: I thought I was with my sister.
- 18:54Speaker 6: And I literally he had to tell me where I
- 18:56Speaker 6: was staying, send me a taxi over there, And when
- 18:59Speaker 6: I got there, like, I was just like frantic. I
- 19:01Speaker 6: was like, I don't know where I belong. I'm lost.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Security guard had to escort me up to the room,
- 19:08Speaker 6: and my sister was literally about to file a missing person.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Did you ever find your phone?
- 19:21Speaker 5: Wow?
- 19:21Speaker 2: That's a great that sounds like a great time.
- 19:25Speaker 6: It was, but everyone was mad at me.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Did you ever see the dude again?
- 19:30Speaker 6: No? I don't even know. I don't even know.
- 19:36Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Hey, Romy, I'm a happy drunk this past Saturday. Fell
- 19:44Speaker 1: asleep at down Perico's, woke up, took off to McMurphy's, blocked,
- 19:48Speaker 1: blacked out, woke up at Casa Tequila.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Great night, jeez, good harding. What's going on?
- 19:57Speaker 1: What brother?
- 19:59Speaker 6: Any guys?
- 19:59Speaker 4: What share an experience I had? I didn't actually pass out.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I fell asleep. I was working a lot and decided, Man,
- 20:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna go get a haircut after work. I wanted
- 20:12Speaker 4: to step there get a haircut. I fell asleep on
- 20:14Speaker 4: the on the guys on the chair while I'm getting
- 20:16Speaker 4: a haircut. The Barbara, the barbaric, Hey, hey, here are
- 20:21Speaker 4: you okay? What the hell's happening?
- 20:26Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Yeah. I was trying to explain to him that I
- 20:29Speaker 4: was working a lot, and he goes. He tell me, well,
- 20:32Speaker 4: maybe you should take a nepage. He come get a haircut.
- 20:34Speaker 2: That's funy, that's pretty good man, Thanks for calling.
- 20:40Speaker 4: All right, buddy, You know I.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Can understand that working a lot.
- 20:43Speaker 1: One time I had to lay some stones my mom's patio.
- 20:48Speaker 2: She wants some stone laid.
- 20:50Speaker 1: So I got up and like, I got up, drove
- 20:54Speaker 1: to my mom's house. Started about five in the morning,
- 20:57Speaker 1: worked till about seven at nine, And when I finished
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I was sitting there, just I sat down in
- 21:04Speaker 1: a chair and was out immediately. I never had that
- 21:08Speaker 1: happen before. I never had been so tired before that.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I just fell asleep. Never happened before. Already four two
- 21:14Speaker 1: by fours, seven to seven? Where'd you pass out? Talking
- 21:17Speaker 1: about passing out? Where'd you pass out?
- 21:18Speaker 2: The morning?
- 21:19Speaker 6: Hot?
- 21:19Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 21:20Speaker 7: Got up?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Man?
- 21:21Speaker 7: I got a great story where I passed out?
- 21:23Speaker 2: What happened?
- 21:24Speaker 1: All right?
- 21:24Speaker 7: So it was New Year's and.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I get super I get.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Super drunk, and I wake up I was at the club.
- 21:34Speaker 7: The last thing I remember I was at the club.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Then I wake up about four in the morning. I
- 21:39Speaker 7: knew how I've been throwing up because I was kind
- 21:42Speaker 7: of sober, but I was really tired and groggy. So
- 21:44Speaker 7: I wake up. I wake up standing up in a
- 21:46Speaker 7: bathroom that I don't know whose it is. And when
- 21:49Speaker 7: I walked to open the door, it's all darkly on.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Just the light in the bathroom's on. So I'm like,
- 21:53Speaker 7: I don't recognize this house, this layout. I go and
- 21:57Speaker 7: I like walk quiet. I checked for my phone, I
- 21:59Speaker 7: didn't have it. I'm like, all right, whatever. I go
- 22:02Speaker 7: into the living room. I see like a gang of
- 22:05Speaker 7: white people just passed out. Now I don't really have
- 22:08Speaker 7: a lot of white friends, and I know I wasn't
- 22:10Speaker 7: partying with white people when I was at the club,
- 22:12Speaker 7: so I don't really know how I got there. I
- 22:14Speaker 7: was with my cousin and I didn't know where he was,
- 22:17Speaker 7: so I'm like trying to creep and see where my
- 22:19Speaker 7: cousin is. Seeing all these people sleeping trying not to
- 22:23Speaker 7: feel like a weirdo because I wanted to get out
- 22:25Speaker 7: of there. And I'm like, well, I don't see them.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Let me check the rooms real quick. I didn't see
- 22:29Speaker 7: anybody in the rooms. So it's like four in the morning,
- 22:32Speaker 7: so it's like thirty degrees outside. I don't even know
- 22:36Speaker 7: what town. And then so I saw an empty band
- 22:39Speaker 7: in the rooms, and I was like, you know what, man,
- 22:41Speaker 7: I'll just deal with this stuff in the morning.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 22:44Speaker 7: I don't even care. I'm about to go to sleep.
- 22:46Speaker 7: I just passed out and somebody's bad. It was empty,
- 22:49Speaker 7: so and get this. In the morning, my cousin wakes
- 22:52Speaker 7: me up.
- 22:54Speaker 3: I was like, bro, where are you?
- 22:55Speaker 7: He goes, dude. You guys locked me outside when I
- 22:57Speaker 7: was looking up with this girl. I had sleep in
- 22:59Speaker 7: my car and my phone was in his car.
- 23:05Speaker 2: All right, Hey, four, two, five, four, seven, and seven.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Let's talk about where you passed out at Hey, roam
- 23:11Speaker 1: A One time I went to Vegas with my buddies
- 23:13Speaker 1: and black out.
- 23:16Speaker 2: That had the night of my life.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I guess. I woke up naked in a chick's hotel
- 23:20Speaker 1: with money in my pocket. The night before we got wasted.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I guess I hit a jackpot on a roulette and
- 23:26Speaker 1: won like three grand, blew most of it on strippers
- 23:29Speaker 1: and a limo with my buddies. I don't remember a thing.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I think that's enough. Good morning. Now, what's going on?
- 23:40Speaker 5: What? Man?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Hey?
- 23:42Speaker 7: Man, I'm living that girl, man, Charles in charge?
- 23:45Speaker 4: Man? That girl rock my world?
- 23:47Speaker 6: Man?
- 23:50Speaker 4: The party that right has a tattoo on the backside.
- 23:59Speaker 7: Man, what you call fack?
- 24:01Speaker 5: This is a child?
- 24:03Speaker 2: Well you talked about You're you talking about the girl
- 24:05Speaker 2: from Vegas?
- 24:07Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, veas all right?
- 24:10Speaker 1: All right?
- 24:11Speaker 4: At the hotel remember that one?
- 24:19Speaker 1: Oh hey, that girl had the stones to call up
- 24:21Speaker 1: and tell her story about hooking up with some dude
- 24:23Speaker 1: passing out in Vegas. There's a lot of women that
- 24:27Speaker 1: did that. Okay, don't be judging her. She's cool already.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Four two five four seven to seven. Like I said,
- 24:33Speaker 1: what'd you pass out? All right, let's talk about passing out?
- 24:35Speaker 1: Where did you pass out? At?
- 24:37Speaker 5: Eight?
- 24:37Speaker 2: Four two five four seven to seven?
- 24:39Speaker 1: What up? Rome? Me and my girl we would go
- 24:41Speaker 1: out to the lake get so drunk. This one time
- 24:46Speaker 1: we're having sex and I passed out naked and woke
- 24:49Speaker 1: up with both car doors open. It was a trip. Well,
- 24:54Speaker 1: where was your chick at when all this went down?
- 24:57Speaker 2: Already?
- 24:57Speaker 1: Four two, five, four seven seven? In rome It wasn't
- 25:02Speaker 1: me but a friend of mine. I'm not sure if
- 25:04Speaker 1: they were seizures, but he used to pass out randomly.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Sometimes it would take about a minute and he would
- 25:11Speaker 1: come out of it like nothing happened. This was one
- 25:13Speaker 1: time we were swimming and this dude passed out underwater.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I pulled him out and he had no clue what happened.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Scared the hell out of me. Well, yeah, I was
- 25:22Speaker 1: scared the hell out of you. What is that you
- 25:24Speaker 1: just he would just pass out and not remember anything
- 25:27Speaker 1: or like nothing. Who that is a little scary already
- 25:31Speaker 1: four two, five, four or seven to seven?
- 25:34Speaker 2: Where'd you pass out?
- 25:35Speaker 1: Uh?
- 25:35Speaker 2: What'd you send me?
- 25:36Speaker 1: Here?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Hey, come on to Romeo. It's Gil Rod here.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I passed out in my buddy's car in the parking
- 25:41Speaker 1: lot of the of the time was RGA morning, and
- 25:47Speaker 1: I was confused about where my buddy was.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I was laying there with a dead phone.
- 25:51Speaker 1: All of a sudden, I see my buddy crawling out
- 25:54Speaker 1: of a dumpster. It was the funniest thing. He didn't
- 25:58Speaker 1: even know how he got in there. He just woke
- 26:01Speaker 1: up in there, he said. I mean it's crazy, man.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I mean you go out, you have a good time,
- 26:09Speaker 1: you're partying, and then you know, sometimes you just pass out.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Where you pass out, you never know what happened, Right, How.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Did you end up in a dumpster?
- 26:18Speaker 1: Though? That's pretty funny already fourteen four seven to seven.
- 26:23Speaker 1: So when? When?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Where did you pass out somewhere? What happened? The weirdest place,
- 26:26Speaker 2: the craziest place.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Maybe you passed out next to somebody and you woke
- 26:30Speaker 1: up next to him, not knowing who they were.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And that's happened.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Live from the just Wing at studios, You guys looking
- 26:36Speaker 1: for cold beer, hot wings. Maybe Just's some golf simulators
- 26:39Speaker 1: they got just Wing at the marketplace. Go check it out.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Hey, good morning, Romeo. What are you talking about here?
- 26:44Speaker 2: We're talking about passing out.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Man. Sometimes you drink too much, you just gotta go
- 26:47Speaker 1: to sleep. As my friend always says, she took a nap.
- 26:51Speaker 1: She didn't pass out, she took a nap a roam.
- 26:54Speaker 1: I passed down the bathroom at that pool hall in
- 26:58Speaker 1: Pismo that everyone knows about. Oh yeah, that one behind
- 27:02Speaker 1: the T shirt shop. I passed out in one of
- 27:05Speaker 1: the stalls. My buddy had to come rescue me. That's hilarious.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I passed out one time. It was funny. Had a
- 27:14Speaker 1: party in my house and I had this beautiful a
- 27:20Speaker 1: German shepherd who would go hide under the bed. Whenever
- 27:24Speaker 1: I had too many people over. You know, she'd get
- 27:25Speaker 1: a little nervous, she'd go hide under the bed. So
- 27:27Speaker 1: one night, at all these people in my house and
- 27:29Speaker 1: I just she was under I saw her in the bed,
- 27:30Speaker 1: so I went to pet her real quick and just
- 27:32Speaker 1: you know, help her relax.
- 27:34Speaker 2: A little bit, and I passed out on the floor.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Ay Rolle. A couple of years ago, I suffered a
- 27:40Speaker 1: heart a heat stroke and my son's very first football game.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Rushed to the hospital and when I woke up, as
- 27:46Speaker 1: coach was there and told me that whatever happened to
- 27:49Speaker 1: me needs to happen again because they blew out the
- 27:53Speaker 1: other team. He took me passing out and being hospitalized
- 27:57Speaker 1: as some type of omen Oh my.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Gol, dude, that's cold, My god, that's horrible.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Already four two boo or seven to seven? Where'd you
- 28:11Speaker 1: guys pass out at already four twoopo.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Or seven to seven. Oh, Ruben Ruben's an idiot.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Sometimes, roam, I passed out your state when Justin Bieber
- 28:20Speaker 1: came out. That song put me to sleep. I love
- 28:24Speaker 1: Justin Bieber. I love everything about Justin Bieber. I think
- 28:27Speaker 1: he's the personal experience that I have with Justin Bieber.
- 28:31Speaker 1: He was an amazing person. So Justin Bieber can never
- 28:34Speaker 1: do any wrong. So Ruben Ruben's an idiot.
- 28:38Speaker 2: All right?
- 28:38Speaker 1: Hey, roll, I passed out and my grandma's backyard, after
- 28:42Speaker 1: two blocks from her house. I woke up around eight
- 28:45Speaker 1: am and was walking was walking away through the driveway
- 28:49Speaker 1: when she opens the door and says, I'm in maludo.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Come eat.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Oh that's hilarious.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Hey, sometimes you just pass man. It happens, you know it,
- 29:02Speaker 1: just it happens. You have too much fun. I mean,
- 29:06Speaker 1: you have too much fun and you pass out somewhere.
- 29:08Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with it, all right.
- 29:10Speaker 2: So I don't know if you guys care, But the
- 29:13Speaker 2: World Cup is over. Who won? Spain won? Spain meeting
- 29:20Speaker 2: Argentina and it.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Turned into a dang. It turned into a brawl.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Dang near A couple of Argentina guys got pissed off.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I don't know what happened, to.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Be perfectly honest with you, but I guess there were
- 29:32Speaker 1: sore losers, is what I watched it. I didn't see exactly.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Maybe somebody said something to somebody I never saw, but
- 29:39Speaker 1: I've never seen soccer players do that before. I guess
- 29:43Speaker 1: that's why nobody wanted Argentina to win?
- 29:45Speaker 8: Is that why?
- 29:46Speaker 2: I don't really know.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I know everybody was against Argentina unless you're from Argentina.
- 29:52Speaker 1: But is it just because they won the year before?
- 29:54Speaker 1: I mean, I've told you guys this, since this World
- 29:57Speaker 1: Cup started, I don't know anything about SoC I know
- 30:00Speaker 1: a little more now than I did previously. Then, because
- 30:04Speaker 1: a buddy of mine's been having me watch it, and
- 30:05Speaker 1: I've been trying to watch the games, but I really
- 30:07Speaker 1: don't get it. But yeah, Argentina beat Spain, or I mean,
- 30:12Speaker 1: Spain beat Argentina yesterday and it was, uh, there was
- 30:17Speaker 1: some fighting afterwards for some reason. I guess Argentina. Anybody
- 30:21Speaker 1: know why? Already four two papo or seven to seven.
- 30:24Speaker 1: But I guess now it's done for another four years, right,
- 30:27Speaker 1: we'll see him in twenty twenty thirty. Is that what
- 30:30Speaker 1: the next one is, yeah, it's every four years, right
- 30:32Speaker 1: already four two popo or seven to seven.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Hey, you have and cheese fan.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Argentina and the rest of the South America side like
- 30:41Speaker 1: foul and hurt the opponents or flop a lot. That's
- 30:45Speaker 1: why people wanted Argentina to lose.
- 30:49Speaker 2: They're good at it.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Uh So what there are there are a bunch of
- 30:53Speaker 1: a bunch of enforcers. Is that Argentina a.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Bunch of sore losers? And what does that?
- 30:58Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about Argentina, but they sure look
- 31:00Speaker 1: upset when they lost, and they actually.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Got beat pretty good.
- 31:04Speaker 1: It was actually pretty pathetic the game I saw yesterday.
- 31:08Speaker 2: But they, uh they.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I just assumed nobody wanted him to win because it
- 31:16Speaker 1: was because they won last year.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Nobody likes somebody to win again. You know, already four two, four,
- 31:23Speaker 2: seven to seven. The World Cup was over.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Who performed? I missed the halftime show? I know Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I know they came out. I mean beat BTSVPD or
- 31:34Speaker 1: b somebody came out. I don't know who that was.
- 31:36Speaker 2: But I didn't watch the halftime show, so I missed it.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I was with Reuben. I fell asleep and seven to seven.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Hey Roam, I don't know. I don't know, but Messi
- 31:47Speaker 1: had no hustle. Every time I seen Messi he was
- 31:50Speaker 1: just walking around. Yeah, I mean, it didn't until he
- 31:52Speaker 1: got the ball. You're right, Argentina was sorry yesterday. Let's
- 31:55Speaker 1: be honest. I don't know nothing about soccer, but argent
- 32:00Speaker 1: you know, was sorry as far as I was concerned,
- 32:03Speaker 1: all right, A four two or seven seven?
- 32:06Speaker 2: Hey Romeo, now that you've watch soccer.
- 32:09Speaker 1: What do you think It's the most popular sport in
- 32:11Speaker 1: the world. How do you feel about it now after
- 32:13Speaker 1: watch it? I still think soccer is stupid. I won't
- 32:19Speaker 1: you know. You got to acknowledge it's the most It's
- 32:21Speaker 1: the biggest sport in the world. I believe. I actually
- 32:24Speaker 1: looked up its net worth or its value. Soccer's value
- 32:28Speaker 1: is so oh it's huge. But I mean, I still
- 32:34Speaker 1: think it's stupid. I mean, I still I watch it.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I only watched it this year because my friends watch
- 32:40Speaker 1: it and they want to it. I like hanging out
- 32:42Speaker 1: with my friends. I tried, but they're worse than the
- 32:45Speaker 1: NBA when it comes to flopping and acting hurt and
- 32:48Speaker 1: the antics that they I it's it's actually embarrassing for
- 32:56Speaker 1: that sport to be so successful with the embarrassment of
- 33:02Speaker 1: their players. Now even basketball basketball has has become more
- 33:08Speaker 1: and more embarrassing with the things and the antics that
- 33:11Speaker 1: they do. But the viewership has also gone down of
- 33:15Speaker 1: the sport of basketball because uh, you know, Americans look
- 33:19Speaker 1: at it and go, that's just not what we want.
- 33:23Speaker 2: But soccer is a pre I mean, it got better.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I will say this though, as the teams got into
- 33:28Speaker 1: the bracket round, as they got into the quarterfinals and
- 33:32Speaker 1: the semi finals and the finals, there was less flopping
- 33:37Speaker 1: and less shenanigans and more legitimate play. You could, you
- 33:44Speaker 1: could one hundred percent see the difference in the earlier
- 33:48Speaker 1: rounds versus when it got down to the nitty gritty,
- 33:52Speaker 1: when it got down to actually winning it, they were
- 33:56Speaker 1: more focused. They didn't they didn't try to pretend like
- 34:00Speaker 1: they were hurt. It was. It was a different game.
- 34:03Speaker 1: So I will give it credit for that, but it's
- 34:04Speaker 1: still stupid. And the only reason it's the most successful
- 34:08Speaker 1: game in the hish in uh in the world is
- 34:13Speaker 1: because all it takes is a ball. It is also
- 34:16Speaker 1: the cheapest game in the world. And when you got
- 34:20Speaker 1: poor countries and kids that want to play something, and
- 34:23Speaker 1: it is soccer's it. When you have you know, you
- 34:28Speaker 1: can't afford baseball equipment or football equipment or I mean
- 34:31Speaker 1: basketball is probably the second, but you still got to
- 34:33Speaker 1: have basketball hoops. I mean, so it just it's the
- 34:37Speaker 1: only reason it's the most successful is because there are
- 34:39Speaker 1: more poor countries than rich countries. And all it takes
- 34:43Speaker 1: is a ball a you Chiefs fan, Shakira my second wife,
- 34:47Speaker 1: look good at the halftime show. Shakira, Boy, you guys,
- 34:54Speaker 1: She's got everybody fooled. Shakira really does, got you all
- 34:57Speaker 1: fulled already? Four two fours than this and Burton Romeo. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: soccer sucks. It goes football then baseball Raiders and Dodgers
- 35:07Speaker 1: raider rob Oh. You know, gosh, things have gotten so
- 35:16Speaker 1: out of hand in professional sports recently. I don't know
- 35:21Speaker 1: what is really worth watching anymore. I get, you know, basketball,
- 35:26Speaker 1: it has become a joke of itself.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But I do have to say this, it's also a
- 35:31Speaker 2: matter of perspective.
- 35:33Speaker 1: You know, growing up, football was king baseball, basketball, I
- 35:40Speaker 1: mean basketball. You had all these greats that played basketball
- 35:43Speaker 1: that just made the game so exciting and so fun
- 35:47Speaker 1: to watch because it was a little more aggressive, a
- 35:50Speaker 1: little less flopping, and it was it's just gotten worse
- 35:55Speaker 1: over the years. Soccer is just embarrassing from the get go.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I've never has just been embarrassing from the get go.
- 36:03Speaker 1: So and we're just talking about professional levels. I'm not
- 36:07Speaker 1: talking because I'm not talking about collegiate levels or anything
- 36:10Speaker 1: like that.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Just professional baseball has always been just too long. It
- 36:19Speaker 2: just drags. I mean, so even baseball's kind of gotten
- 36:23Speaker 2: a little side. I don't know.
- 36:25Speaker 1: I guess, Rob, I guess it's maybe football then baseball.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Maybe I don't know. I don't know what sport is
- 36:34Speaker 1: worth watching anymore. To be honest with you, money embedding
- 36:40Speaker 1: has kind of kind of ruined the sports I think.
- 36:42Speaker 1: But all right, Rob, but you're right, soccer sucks. It
- 36:47Speaker 1: does suck, all right? Any four, two, five, four or
- 36:49Speaker 1: seven seven? Hey, you have a cheese fan NFL around
- 36:53Speaker 1: the corner. Are you gonna make a Banger Raiders song
- 36:55Speaker 1: this year? The and when does the NFL start? I
- 37:01Speaker 1: don't even until until the season starts.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Maybe, I don't know.
- 37:06Speaker 1: We'll see what happens.
- 37:07Speaker 2: The Raiders are the Raiders are such a joke nowadays.
- 37:10Speaker 1: It's now I feel like I'm just I feel bad
- 37:13Speaker 1: making fun of them. I mean, those songs were funny
- 37:16Speaker 1: when they actually had a legitimate chance of doing something,
- 37:20Speaker 1: you know. I mean, even though they were never gonna
- 37:22Speaker 1: win it, at least they had a chance with you know,
- 37:25Speaker 1: a few years with Derek Harr.
- 37:26Speaker 2: They look pretty good before that.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I think they went to a Super Bowl, didn't they,
- 37:34Speaker 1: So they were worth making. Now they're just an embarrassing joke.
- 37:37Speaker 1: So I don't know, man, I almost feel bad making
- 37:40Speaker 1: fun of the Raiders now. So, you guys, I think
- 37:44Speaker 1: a lot of us grew up poor, right, A lot
- 37:46Speaker 1: of us grew up with not a lot of extra
- 37:48Speaker 1: money to spend. You know, we had moms and dads
- 37:51Speaker 1: that you know could handle. The basics got us, you know, food, shelter,
- 37:56Speaker 1: clothes weren't the fanciest clothes, but you know we we
- 38:00Speaker 1: had what we needed as kids. Some of you grew
- 38:04Speaker 1: up in a house with three or four brothers, the
- 38:06Speaker 1: two three bedroom with you know, eight people in the house.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Hey, but at least you had a roof over your head.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Now. The reason I say that is, do you remember
- 38:16Speaker 1: growing up without money and the you guys, everybody wanted something,
- 38:22Speaker 1: you know, I mean we all. Everybody wanted to be
- 38:24Speaker 1: rich when they were a kid. You know. Poor kids
- 38:26Speaker 1: always say, hey, we want to be rich when we
- 38:28Speaker 1: grow up by a Ferrari And that's not true.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Malibu mansion and that's not true. That's not realistic.
- 38:33Speaker 1: But what is realistic is certain things that you want.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I remember when I was in uh when I was
- 38:45Speaker 1: in college, I a friend of mine got me a job.
- 38:49Speaker 1: And I had to work through college because I didn't
- 38:51Speaker 1: have a lot of money. And my friend got me
- 38:54Speaker 1: this good paying job. This was ten dollars an hour,
- 38:58Speaker 1: was good money back there, and he got me this job.
- 39:02Speaker 1: And I remember the first time that I made enough
- 39:06Speaker 1: money and I was able to buy a steak.
- 39:10Speaker 2: You know, the only steak I got.
- 39:11Speaker 1: To eat when I was in college was gardniasada because
- 39:15Speaker 1: gardner asada was the cheapest piece of meat you could
- 39:18Speaker 1: And I know it's not anymore, but back then it was.
- 39:22Speaker 1: So I remember the first time I was making enough
- 39:26Speaker 1: money that I can actually buy a steak once a week,
- 39:31Speaker 1: and it was.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it.
- 39:33Speaker 1: It's the greatest time in my life at that point. Now,
- 39:38Speaker 1: do you guys ever think about that? Remember the first
- 39:40Speaker 1: time some of you I have friends that grew up,
- 39:44Speaker 1: you know, on the East Side, and they bought when
- 39:49Speaker 1: they were able to buy a house in Rosedale or
- 39:52Speaker 1: a house somewhere other you know, out of the neighborhood
- 39:55Speaker 1: that they grew up on an upper end neighborhood.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I mean, it happens.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Do you guys remember the first time. I have a
- 40:04Speaker 1: friend who always wanted a uh.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Seleka when we were in college.
- 40:14Speaker 1: He always wanted a Toyota Celica, and those at the
- 40:17Speaker 1: time were the high end car or the high end Toyota.
- 40:20Speaker 2: They were a nice.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Little whatever car from that for that age. I remember
- 40:23Speaker 1: when he was first able to buy it. He got
- 40:26Speaker 1: a good job. You got a job where you can
- 40:28Speaker 1: afford a Toyota Celica. I think it was sela not
- 40:32Speaker 1: to remember, right, Do you.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Guys remember those days? Do you remember?
- 40:36Speaker 1: You know, you didn't have no money, but you always
- 40:38Speaker 1: want You were so happy because you finally could afford
- 40:43Speaker 1: whatever it is you know you could afford, or that
- 40:47Speaker 1: you wanted to be able. For me, it was the
- 40:49Speaker 1: first time it happened, was I could afford a steak.
- 40:52Speaker 1: That was so I was so excited. That was all
- 40:56Speaker 1: it took, you know. I remember one time. I mean,
- 41:04Speaker 1: now we're not talking about a lot of money, but
- 41:06Speaker 1: we're talking about enough money. I remember one time we
- 41:09Speaker 1: went out with some guys. This is years ago when
- 41:12Speaker 1: I first got the when I first got the Bakersfield
- 41:15Speaker 1: and started doing this show, and I made a little
- 41:18Speaker 1: bit of money. I didn't make enough money at all means,
- 41:20Speaker 1: but I made a little bit more money than the
- 41:22Speaker 1: other guys.
- 41:23Speaker 2: So I remember the guy said, hey, let's go out.
- 41:26Speaker 2: And because I didn't normally go.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Out with them, you know, I never really hung out
- 41:30Speaker 1: with the people I work with here, not for any
- 41:32Speaker 1: other reason than just I, you know, having to do
- 41:36Speaker 1: other things. And I remember the first time they said
- 41:39Speaker 1: let's go out. So I went out with them, and
- 41:41Speaker 1: they bought the cheapest beer because that's all they could afford.
- 41:44Speaker 1: And I said, you know what, let me buy you
- 41:45Speaker 1: guys some real beer because I had a little bit
- 41:47Speaker 1: more money.
- 41:47Speaker 2: I mean, it's just beer money. It's not like I
- 41:49Speaker 2: was gonna buy a Ferrari. You couldn't afford that, but
- 41:51Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, and I was everybody was so excited.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Oh, we get a drink, and you know what I'm saying,
- 41:59Speaker 1: when when it just sometimes it's just little things, I
- 42:02Speaker 1: can finally afford it. Whatever that it is already four
- 42:07Speaker 1: to five, four or seven to seven. I told you
- 42:11Speaker 1: mine was stake. The first time I could afford to
- 42:13Speaker 1: actually buy a Ribbi steak, all I could ever afford all.
- 42:18Speaker 1: What was a treat to me when I was in
- 42:20Speaker 1: college because I was poor and I didn't make a
- 42:24Speaker 1: lot of money was Connor Sada. Now Connorsada used to
- 42:29Speaker 1: be like cheap, cheap, cheap, and if you bought Conyasada,
- 42:33Speaker 1: that was a luxury to me. But I remember the
- 42:35Speaker 1: first time I made enough money, I could actually go
- 42:39Speaker 1: to the store and buy a Ribbi. I could actually
- 42:41Speaker 1: go to a butcher shop and buy a Ribbi, and
- 42:45Speaker 1: it was amazing. Already fourteen five, four seven seven room.
- 42:52Speaker 1: That's why Jordan's are so popular still. They can afford
- 42:56Speaker 1: them when we we oh, they can't afford them an
- 43:00Speaker 1: adult now, oh, as an adult, now, yeah, that there's
- 43:03Speaker 1: a lot of things like that. You know. I I
- 43:05Speaker 1: never I never had a pair of Jordan's growing up
- 43:09Speaker 1: as a kid because I couldn't afford it. You know,
- 43:14Speaker 1: that makes a lot of sense, But that's what that's
- 43:16Speaker 1: what adults do. Now. You know, there's a lot of
- 43:18Speaker 1: you out there that will buy things that you can
- 43:22Speaker 1: you couldn't afford as a child or as a young adult.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Which is that's the point thirty four to five or
- 43:29Speaker 1: seven and seven, not what's going on?
- 43:32Speaker 4: What I remember growing up, I was so poor.
- 43:37Speaker 5: I always looked forward.
- 43:39Speaker 6: I thought only risible would order combo.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Meals from the fast of the restaurants.
- 43:44Speaker 6: If I wanted to eat, I have to go to
- 43:47Speaker 6: church on Sunday to get fifty for.
- 43:52Speaker 4: That was my hardest decision on Sunday. Do I want
- 43:55Speaker 4: to go to church and eat?
- 43:57Speaker 1: That is hilarious, Yes, I remember those days.
- 44:03Speaker 2: That's so funny thought that you said.
- 44:09Speaker 6: Want.
- 44:13Speaker 8: The reason I'm laughing at that is because I thought
- 44:21Speaker 8: rich people only got appetizers and dessert Because.
- 44:26Speaker 2: When we would go out, when we would get.
- 44:28Speaker 1: To go out to dinner, my parents would never let
- 44:32Speaker 1: us order an appetizer or dessert.
- 44:34Speaker 2: We just got a meal.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Yep, I thought out next after I got oh, that's.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Funny already fourteen by four or seven to seven. Oh
- 44:50Speaker 1: my god, that's so funny. Yeah, I mean, you guys
- 44:53Speaker 1: remember wrong, I mean when, uh, the first time you
- 44:58Speaker 1: had enough money to buy something?
- 45:00Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't have to be some big you know,
- 45:04Speaker 2: like I said, it was stake.
- 45:06Speaker 1: You know. Now I have enough money out to go
- 45:08Speaker 1: now and buy an appetizer and a dessert if I
- 45:11Speaker 1: go out to dinner. But I don't because when I
- 45:16Speaker 1: grew up, we didn't have enough money for advertisers and dessert,
- 45:19Speaker 1: so I never I just assumed I can never get one.
- 45:23Speaker 2: But yeah, that's uh. You guys, remember what was it?
- 45:27Speaker 2: What was the thing? What was the it you can
- 45:29Speaker 2: finally afford it?
- 45:30Speaker 1: What was it that you could finally afford and you
- 45:33Speaker 1: were so excited? Doesn't have to be anything big? Do
- 45:36Speaker 1: you remember? Do you remember when you finally made enough
- 45:41Speaker 1: money to buy whatever it is that you can never afford,
- 45:45Speaker 1: whether it be growing up or whether it be you.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Know, you just starting out in life.
- 45:51Speaker 1: You always want to buy something, you just don't you
- 45:53Speaker 1: can never afford it, and now you can now you
- 45:57Speaker 1: do it regularly, probably already pour to seven to seven, Hey, roam,
- 46:03Speaker 1: I was a single mom with three kids living in
- 46:06Speaker 1: a two bedroom apartment. I remember I was able to
- 46:09Speaker 1: runt a three bedroom house when I started making more
- 46:13Speaker 1: money and eventually buy my own home. I mean not see,
- 46:17Speaker 1: that's just the dream, right, that's just that's incredible that
- 46:22Speaker 1: you were able to do that, and how you feel
- 46:24Speaker 1: about that. For some of us, it was just the
- 46:29Speaker 1: little things, man, it was just you know, being able
- 46:31Speaker 1: to buy a stake, hey room. It was the first
- 46:34Speaker 1: time I went grocery shopping and didn't have to use
- 46:36Speaker 1: a calculator. When I was twenty years old started working
- 46:40Speaker 1: for the railroad.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Didn't have to use a calculator. That's kind of funny.
- 46:46Speaker 1: What is uh yeah, oh, because you're adding up everything
- 46:50Speaker 1: as you're buying it.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Oh oh sure, sure, sure, But I mean that's what
- 46:54Speaker 2: I'm saying. Do you remember do you remember the first.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Time you started making a little bit of money and
- 46:59Speaker 1: you were able to buy some of the things or
- 47:01Speaker 1: buy something that you thought maybe you thought you never
- 47:04Speaker 1: would be able to afford it.
- 47:05Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Already four four seven to seven were talking about the
- 47:14Speaker 1: first time you could afford something you always wanted, something
- 47:16Speaker 1: you can never afford it. Do you remember the first
- 47:17Speaker 1: time you could afford something because you started making a
- 47:20Speaker 1: little more money.
- 47:22Speaker 2: All right, Hey, rome good morning.
- 47:24Speaker 1: I was super excited the first time I was able
- 47:26Speaker 1: to afford the dinner at Benny Hannas. The bill for
- 47:31Speaker 1: me and my date was one hundred and twenty five
- 47:33Speaker 1: dollars without tip back in.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Two thousand and four. I mean, that's awesome. Yeah, that's
- 47:43Speaker 2: so cool.
- 47:43Speaker 1: You remember the first time you could actually afford to
- 47:46Speaker 1: go out? Do you remember the first time you could
- 47:50Speaker 1: afford to go out to dinner?
- 47:53Speaker 6: Bro?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Growing up, I got to go out to dinner maybe
- 47:56Speaker 1: once a month, and it was to the pizza park.
- 48:01Speaker 1: So although I did do a lot of reservation, we
- 48:04Speaker 1: didn't have a lot of restaurants, so that was something.
- 48:07Speaker 1: But you guys, remember the first time you were able
- 48:11Speaker 1: to buy something? You just the feeling And I know,
- 48:14Speaker 1: I mean, you've gouts a lot of you make some
- 48:16Speaker 1: real money now and you're entitled because you got more money,
- 48:20Speaker 1: and you're listening to this going Romeo, you're stupid. You
- 48:23Speaker 1: guys are so dumb. We buy houses and cars. Yeah,
- 48:26Speaker 1: but were you always like that? Were you always able
- 48:29Speaker 1: to buy houses in car? Maybe you were, I don't
- 48:31Speaker 1: know what you remember when you were excited the first
- 48:36Speaker 1: time you could afford.
- 48:38Speaker 2: You could afford something.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I mean, it was really it doesn't have to be
- 48:41Speaker 1: anything big, could be something small, could be something big.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I remember the first time I bought my house, the
- 48:46Speaker 1: first house I bought, I was so excited, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 1: I could finally afford it. It was it was going
- 48:51Speaker 1: to be tough, but hey, I made enough money to
- 48:52Speaker 1: buy my house to live in a house. But there's
- 48:55Speaker 1: also little things like before that. You know, when you
- 48:58Speaker 1: could afford the I don't know by a stake. My
- 49:04Speaker 1: friend just called me and said when she moved out
- 49:06Speaker 1: to California, she was excited because she could afford her
- 49:09Speaker 1: boob job. But yeah, I mean when you could finally
- 49:14Speaker 1: afford them, that was a big deal. You know, you
- 49:17Speaker 1: could pay for it yourself, you had the money. You know,
- 49:20Speaker 1: a lot of you guys probably don't remember that because
- 49:23Speaker 1: you're just jackasses now. You know, you probably don't remember
- 49:27Speaker 1: the little things already four two five, four seven to
- 49:30Speaker 1: seven Rome, we are adulting and doing big things.
- 49:35Speaker 2: When we got a Costco card.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, that's but that's what I'm saying.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Do you guys remember those things.
- 49:50Speaker 1: I remember the first time I opened a paycheck and
- 49:54Speaker 1: after all my bills were going to be paid, my rent,
- 49:59Speaker 1: my car insurance, my phone bill, my electure. I remember
- 50:02Speaker 1: the first time, and I had five hundred dollars.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Left the first time.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I remember that, and I went that's the first time
- 50:11Speaker 1: I went out and bought a Ribbi because I couldn't.
- 50:14Speaker 1: I could actually buy some groceries. You know that weren't
- 50:18Speaker 1: the cheapest thing in the grocery store. You know, first
- 50:22Speaker 1: time you don't have to flow a check.
- 50:24Speaker 2: I mean, these things are all.
- 50:28Speaker 1: All things that happened alrighty four, two, five four or
- 50:31Speaker 1: seven to seven e Romeo. I remember being able to
- 50:33Speaker 1: go to spend four hundred dollars on close at Kmart
- 50:37Speaker 1: and Sears without having to put any of it on layoway.
- 50:42Speaker 2: See what I'm saying. It doesn't have to be a
- 50:44Speaker 2: big thing.
- 50:44Speaker 1: I know everybody, you know, everybody wanted to buy a house,
- 50:48Speaker 1: you wanted to buy a car, you wanted you know,
- 50:50Speaker 1: those are the big things.
- 50:50Speaker 2: It costs a lot of money, the two biggest purchases.
- 50:53Speaker 1: In your life, which we all strive for, right, But
- 50:57Speaker 1: what about the little things? The first time you could
- 50:59Speaker 1: buy something that you never could afford, you know, and
- 51:04Speaker 1: maybe it hasn't happened to you yet, but it will.
- 51:07Speaker 2: It will.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Okay, you guys, remember everybody, you gotta remember this. Most
- 51:12Speaker 1: of us did not grow up rich. We did not
- 51:14Speaker 1: get everything we wanted. We couldn't afford it. Our parents
- 51:17Speaker 1: did their very best and took care of us, did
- 51:21Speaker 1: an amazing job with money to take care of us.
- 51:24Speaker 1: But we we wanted stuff, right or maybe you you know,
- 51:27Speaker 1: you're out on your own, you just start hitting the
- 51:30Speaker 1: workforce and you're broke, and then that one day hits
- 51:36Speaker 1: you got for some reason, you got a little more cash,
- 51:39Speaker 1: you got a raise, you got a little more change
- 51:41Speaker 1: in your pocket, and you can afford something, and it's amazing.
- 51:45Speaker 2: It's an amazing feeling.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Already four two four or seven to seven room, I
- 51:50Speaker 1: had really bad keep growing up. Braces weren't cool or
- 51:55Speaker 1: a financial option. So I finally got them myself at
- 51:58Speaker 1: about twenty seven, twenty eight.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Years old, and I never regretted it.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Now they're so common it doesn't seem like a big deal,
- 52:07Speaker 1: But for some it was not even a thought that
- 52:12Speaker 1: they could afford it. You're absolutely right, by the way,
- 52:15Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell you this about braces, just because
- 52:18Speaker 1: I got a little bit of experience in him. I
- 52:23Speaker 1: don't know when it became common for kids to get braces,
- 52:29Speaker 1: when what I believed, their mouths aren't even fully developed yet.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I got braces at sixteen. But now these kids get
- 52:37Speaker 1: braces when they're born damn near, when their teeth come
- 52:40Speaker 1: in eight, nine, ten, whatever.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Doesn't that seem a little early? I don't know.
- 52:46Speaker 1: It seems a little ridiculous to me. But okay, but
- 52:49Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm no orthodonist, so I don't know.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Maybe they're right, but yeah, they are so common today.
- 52:55Speaker 1: And I remember having braces that was made metal mouth.
- 52:57Speaker 1: I was called metal mouth. I was made fun of.
- 53:00Speaker 1: And yeah, I get it already. Four two pop four
- 53:04Speaker 1: seven to seven.
- 53:05Speaker 2: But you see what I'm saying.
- 53:06Speaker 1: I think most of you listening right now have a story.
- 53:10Speaker 6: You have.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Something that you couldn't afford, and now you have it
- 53:18Speaker 1: because well you always wanted it, because now you make
- 53:20Speaker 1: enough money to get it. I mean, even if it's
- 53:23Speaker 1: you know, Jordan's, even if it's the you know, I
- 53:27Speaker 1: know a guy that could makes real money. Oh my god,
- 53:31Speaker 1: my buddy makes a lot of money. He bought that
- 53:33Speaker 1: stupid I much shouldn't call it stupid. But he bought
- 53:36Speaker 1: that Gi Joe aircraft carrier because he always wanted it
- 53:42Speaker 1: as a kid.
- 53:43Speaker 2: His parents couldn't afford it.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Now he's got, you know, money he can just throw
- 53:47Speaker 1: away on anything he wants, and he.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Bought that aircraft carrier.
- 53:51Speaker 1: But that's what you do, man, that's what you should do,
- 53:53Speaker 1: by the way, because it feels good already.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Four two pop four seven to seven.
- 54:00Speaker 1: You remember the first time you can afford something you
- 54:02Speaker 1: always wanted it?
- 54:04Speaker 2: I never could afford it. You remember that first time
- 54:06Speaker 2: come on your house going on.
- 54:07Speaker 7: Throwing me over the morning whatever I mean.
- 54:10Speaker 4: I remember when I found my first bottle of hennitye.
- 54:16Speaker 7: I just got the money from.
- 54:18Speaker 4: Uh from going to college.
- 54:19Speaker 2: You don't want to give you a.
- 54:22Speaker 4: And I was like, man, they just shot me like
- 54:24Speaker 4: a thoulouse. First thing I want to do, you know,
- 54:28Speaker 4: give me bottle of bottle for myself. Yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 7: Man, By the time I got back to the door
- 54:34Speaker 7: and it was done.
- 54:38Speaker 4: But I was glad I was able to get it,
- 54:40Speaker 4: you know, that first one. I I ain't never gonna
- 54:42Speaker 4: forget it because the problem.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I had it. Everybody, everybody, I think, has a little
- 54:47Speaker 1: story like that.
- 54:48Speaker 2: The first time you could afford to buy something. Man,
- 54:52Speaker 2: it feels good. It feels good.
- 54:54Speaker 4: It does you know you want to make a good
- 54:56Speaker 4: happit of that?
- 54:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 54:57Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely, Oh, brother, letter Man, I mean he's I mean,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I know, see some of you guys listening right now
- 55:05Speaker 1: or think we're just listen to these idiots talk. But
- 55:09Speaker 1: you know, not all of us were entitled little jackasses
- 55:12Speaker 1: like you. Some of us we were excited when we
- 55:16Speaker 1: could actually afford to buy something, even if it was
- 55:18Speaker 1: a bottle of Hennessy or a Ribbi steak or something
- 55:22Speaker 1: that all of you took for granted. You know, what
- 55:26Speaker 1: are you gonna do? Man, Not be mad at somebody already?
- 55:30Speaker 1: Four two five, four or seven to seven. And this
- 55:34Speaker 1: is what I mean by this. I'm gonna tell you
- 55:35Speaker 1: this story right now. There's somebody who sent me Hey
- 55:37Speaker 1: Romeo when I was Hey Romeo in high school seventeen,
- 55:43Speaker 1: I got pregnant and had a kid.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Life was a struggle for a long time.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Now. My parents did help me out, but they didn't
- 55:52Speaker 1: have very much either. So I had a place to
- 55:54Speaker 1: stay and help raise my child. I started working. I
- 55:58Speaker 1: remember the first time I was able to take my
- 56:02Speaker 1: daughter out to a sit down dinner. I felt so good,
- 56:07Speaker 1: like I accomplished something and can take care of my child.
- 56:10Speaker 2: You know, as we.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Grow, we get a little older, we get a little
- 56:13Speaker 1: more common sense. Now I got a pretty decent job.
- 56:16Speaker 1: I can take care of everything. It's all good now.
- 56:19Speaker 1: But you're right, Rome, every time, Oh, you're right Rome.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Anytime we can do something for the first time feels good.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, a lot of you got going. Oh
- 56:33Speaker 1: that's stupid, No it's not. It's amazing, bro me. Oh hey, Rome,
- 56:39Speaker 1: I was poor as a kid, never had.
- 56:41Speaker 2: A Christmas or birthday parties.
- 56:43Speaker 1: So now that I have a family of my own
- 56:46Speaker 1: and make really good money, I give my kids everything,
- 56:49Speaker 1: take my kids everywhere Disneyland, Lego, and et cetera. And
- 56:53Speaker 1: I also enjoy it as well because it's new to me.
- 56:57Speaker 1: My wife tells me, I'm.
- 56:58Speaker 2: A big kid. Well, that's that's what you should do.
- 57:00Speaker 1: I mean, that's absolutely what you should do. You know
- 57:04Speaker 1: what I'm saying.
- 57:04Speaker 2: That's a that's a big deal.
- 57:08Speaker 1: It's funny that you say that, because I know I
- 57:10Speaker 1: have a few friends who are like that, who never,
- 57:13Speaker 1: you know, never got these things and so now they
- 57:15Speaker 1: will never not do them for their kids.
- 57:17Speaker 2: That's that just makes.
- 57:18Speaker 1: You a good person, a good parent already fourteen five
- 57:21Speaker 1: four seven, that's seven, Romeo. You know you know what, Rome,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I do Uber Eats, and yesterday I had an order
- 57:30Speaker 1: to the Bakersfield Homeless Center and kept that in mind,
- 57:34Speaker 1: keep and keep that in mind. I take my kids
- 57:37Speaker 1: with me to do the Uber eats, and we've seen
- 57:40Speaker 1: kids at the homeless shelter, and I told my kids,
- 57:42Speaker 1: sometimes you gotta be humble because me and my wife.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Get my kids whatever they want, such.
- 57:47Speaker 1: As Xbox, Nintendo's switch, et cetera. Yeah, I mean, you
- 57:53Speaker 1: gotta understand what's going on. Remember the first time you
- 57:56Speaker 1: could afford something, you never could afford it before.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Now you can afford it.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Maybe now now, maybe it's now, Maybe it was back
- 58:01Speaker 1: in the day, all right. So I got a text
- 58:04Speaker 1: message hold on from a buddy budd I have. I'm
- 58:09Speaker 1: in a text group with some friends that I went
- 58:11Speaker 1: to college with and grew up with, and we would
- 58:13Speaker 1: always go out club and you know, all the time.
- 58:17Speaker 2: So it's a group of us, he said.
- 58:20Speaker 1: He said, Rome, tell him about the time we got
- 58:22Speaker 1: bottle service for the first time.
- 58:26Speaker 2: So there is.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Probably about probably about fifteen of us that we all
- 58:34Speaker 1: would hang out together, go to the same clubs, go
- 58:37Speaker 1: to you know, put our money in so we had
- 58:39Speaker 1: enough gas money to get wherever we wanted to go,
- 58:41Speaker 1: and you know, things like that.
- 58:45Speaker 2: There was a group of us.
- 58:46Speaker 1: So one of our friends, the one who just texted me,
- 58:50Speaker 1: is rich, but he wasn't rich. I mean, his parents
- 58:53Speaker 1: did well. His parents did well, but they weren't rich
- 58:57Speaker 1: rich rich.
- 58:58Speaker 2: He's rich, rich rich. So he was a good friend
- 59:00Speaker 2: of ours.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Went away to college at some ivy league school. And
- 59:04Speaker 1: when he came back the first time, he go you know,
- 59:08Speaker 1: when he got back, after he got his job and
- 59:10Speaker 1: he you know, started making this real, real good money,
- 59:14Speaker 1: and he comes back and he calls us all and
- 59:16Speaker 1: he goes, dude, let's go to Vegas. We're going to Vegas.
- 59:19Speaker 1: He goes, I'm going to get bottle service. We're going
- 59:20Speaker 1: to do it up like we never could afford in
- 59:23Speaker 1: the past.
- 59:24Speaker 2: And he did.
- 59:25Speaker 1: He did. It cost him like I don't know, ten
- 59:27Speaker 1: or fifteen thousand thousand dollars something like something crazy like that,
- 59:31Speaker 1: and it might have cost him more, I don't really know,
- 59:34Speaker 1: but he just wanted to do it up.
- 59:36Speaker 2: You know, we all got to do it up.
- 59:38Speaker 1: We all got to go to Vegas and have a
- 59:40Speaker 1: table and the bottle service, and you know it was
- 59:43Speaker 1: uh yeah, it's a good time. Yeah, he was excited
- 59:47Speaker 1: about that. Come on, how what's going on?
- 59:49Speaker 5: What's the role in seaglu bro?
- 59:51Speaker 1: What up?
- 59:52Speaker 6: Blue?
- 59:53Speaker 5: I remember my first time when I was able to
- 59:55Speaker 5: afford the whole time and I saw the party and
- 59:59Speaker 5: just pay for it all like SODA's meat and everything.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: I even bought a new grill that day, and I
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: was so excited. Man, if I ruined this meat, if
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: I ruined this meat, it's okay because I paid for it,
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: you know what I mean.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: I'm sure you did ruin it too.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: If I ruined it, I was able to afford some more. So. Yeah,
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: we're good.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Man memories, man's memories.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Everybody has something the first time they can afford something. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: yeah yeah.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: It was my first little two burner grill propane.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Okay, man, beautiful own.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: It was the best thing I ever bought.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Well, all right, loud, I mean I like to laugh
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: and see Luba.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Do you guys remember the feeling when you can have
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: first when you could afford it. Man, there's something to
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: that when you can afford to buy something that you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you always wanted.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Or you never could afford in the past. I mean,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: it's just a great feeling.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Hey, rom it's kind of good and bad. Growing up
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: was a struggle, but for my kids it wasn't. Now
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: they always expect me to pay for everything. But I
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: guess that's my fault for always saying, yes, have a
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: good one.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Room's ray to rob.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: It's not.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: People always say that.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: People always, you know, like raid to Rob said's a
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: good and it's a bad thing.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: It's not a bad thing.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: If you can raise your kids to not have to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: struggle in the same capacity in a way that you
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: didn't you did. If you can, if you can, if
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: they don't have to live your life to be good people.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Now everybody always says wrong, we we were, We were
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: raised poor, so we got character. These kids today are
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: all entitled and blah blah blah. Well, the reason they're
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: entitled is because you're doing a terrible job as a parent.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: You know, being able to afford everything for your children
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: is not the problem.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: The problem is you don't know how to do both.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Teach them to be good human beings and buy them
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: everything we had to learn to be good human beings
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: through a struggle.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have to do that.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I already four two five four or seven to seven
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: a rom Yes, you're right about getting kids braces too early.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Some do have extenuating circumstances, so they have to start early.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: But your teeth never stop shifting. So when they get
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: them early years and don't wear their retainer, guess what,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: they'll need them again in their twenties and thirties, and
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Ortho is never going to turn down ten grand My
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: cousin got all snarky with me when I told her
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: if your kids that, if your kid has decent teeth,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: don't even bother taking them to an Ortho because they
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: will tell you anything to get braces on them. Oh
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I mean I always thought, yeah, I always get your
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: kids braces. I know this is a different conversation because
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: somebody texted earlier they were so excited because they always
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: have messed up teeth when they can finally afford braces.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: So yeah, I think that is Uh. I think you're
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I don't know, Like I said, I don't know. I
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: just I think that, but I guess I'm getting some
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: verification about that. I will say this though, that from
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: what I know about braces in town, doctor Thurman is
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: he still?
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Doctor Thurman? Is he still?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I know he was never he was always hey, come
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: back when it's time. I think he was pretty legit
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: if I remember correctly, with some people I know that
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: used him, and that he actually told them, know that
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: your kid doesn't need them. Now just wait.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: So hey, there's some honest people out there.
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: The morning, every morning morning one
