Now we're gonna get into Auburn. We got Auburn this week. It's a big game for Georgia, it's a huge letdown spot, okay? I Massive. Clint: It's a big game. It my gosh. People giving us this amount of point spread and people already I've listened to three other guys that we we like. Okay? Truly and honestly, we like these and they're talking about how much bta Georgia gonna give to Auburn and how this game isn't even gonna be close. It's gonna be an embarrassment. And I'm sitting there going, Hey, hey, hey, please stop. Lit hoo! Daniel: Guys, guys, hey, look over hootie hoo. Clint: Hoody who like listen. No, that's not how this game is gonna go. I if we win 45 to 10, I will be utterly shocked. J Daniel: Shocked. Yeah. Clint: completely and utter is the talent and coaching disparage that big? Yes it is. If it happens, I Daniel: Yes it is. That ain't this game ain't played on paper, friends. Clint: It's not played on paper. It's played after a huge physical game against Alabama. Two teams that hate each other with the fire of a thousand sons. A coach who needs to prove himself because that that sunbelt Billy two point clone showed him up a couple times, and now he needs to match him. It it's not gonna be Daniel: Yeah. Imagine hiring another Sunbelt coach and then thinking Clint: And thinking it's gonna be different. Daniel: you were gonna win the national champion like telling me after week three Clint: Literally. Daniel: That you were gonna win the national championship with John Sumral, former Sunbelt Champion. Clint: And Philo as your quarterback. Daniel: As your quarterback. Daniel: By the way, everyone that came at me and said Georgia fan and Florida fan and said, excuse me, Jaden Ball is the best running back in the SEC. Clint: no. Daniel: Jaden Baugh is better than any other running back in the Southeastern Conference. Clint: no. Daniel: Well, it seems like you maybe have gotten us just a wee bit ahead of yourself there. Clint: Midgin correct. Daniel: 'Cause Jaden Ball had a Tim Tebow esque crying text message he sent to his coach after they got their ass whooped against Missouri. Clint: whooped. Daniel: And he said, Coach, I'm so sorry I didn't do good enough. Clint: It will never happen again. Daniel: But then it happened right away. You understand? Clint: But then it was literally the next week that it happened again. Daniel: So listen, this is not a relationship advice show, but Florida, you need to break up with that man. Because he said it would never happen again and then it happened right away. Do you understand? This is now a pattern of disrespect Clint: He he told you at dinner that Daniel: and inappropriate behavior. Yeah. Pat Clint: Her name is Disray Speck. Daniel: turn, my friend Pat took a turn. Clint: It's it's really bad. Daniel, you had you Google we're gonna get there. Okay, where are we going? Daniel: Yeah, yeah. A direction. Yes. We're gonna we're gonna get there. Google the Google Maps is dinging at us. We are off course. Clint: We're we have just bypassed everything. Daniel: Clint, let me tell you what I love most about this past week. And it's not that we beat Alabama. It's not that Kirby's now three and seven. It's not that some proverbial monkey or gorilla is off of our backs. It's not that we've proven ourselves or validated ourselves or whatever. All of those things are great and feel good, and there's a catharsis that comes from Georgia fans when we beat Clint: Yeah. Yeah. Daniel: Alabama. It is a it is a thing. We can acknowledge that. That's all fine. The thing that to me is the most significant. Is that each year for the last two years, Clint, and we've felt this from a big picture standpoint. Clint: Mm. Daniel: And Georgia fans, I know you've felt it too. It's hard to give voice to. Georgia was a very good team in 2025 and in 2024. Very good teams. So good, in fact, that we won the Southeastern Conference and were the number two overall seed in the college football player. But then we got to the playoff and the wheels kind of fell off. But it wasn't really that big of a surprise when the wheels fell off in the playoff. I know we didn't really expect to lose to Ole Miss. We didn't even really expect to lose to Notre Dame. But there were signposts all along the way in twenty-four and twenty-five that these were not. Capital C championship level teams. There were defensive deficiencies. Last year we could not Clint: Mm-hmm. Daniel: pressure the quarterback to save our life. Ty Simpson just stood back there in the regular season and dissected us. Clint: Yep. Daniel: We did not get any pressure on him whatsoever. And that was not the only time. It was the only regular season game we lost. But it was not the only time. That our lack of ability to get pressure hurt us. And then what happened in the college football playoff? A dynamic athlete at quarterback ran all over us because we could not get him on the ground. And you can say what you want about Trinidad Chamblas. Guess what other teams I've been watching? Guess what other teams have been able to do? Clint: Yep. Daniel: Limit his explosiveness and get him on the ground. Clint: Again, that almost like we told you, hey, without Lane's system it might look different. Daniel: The year before that, Georgia had obvious deficiencies in the passing game, right? Carson Beck was okay. He threw it to the other team a lot. And that might have been because the guys on his team could not catch the ball to save their lives. Clint: And we needed to throw the ball at a clip, historic clip that Kirby nor Mike Daniel: Restore it. Clint: Bobo never wants to repeat, and I never want to repeat. Twenty-two pass attempts this last game, Daniel, right? Twenty-two. Daniel: twenty two. Clint: that's right. That's almost exactly what we said. We said twenty-two to twenty-four pass attempts a game is perfect and ideal zone. Daniel: 18 of 22 for 250. Clint: my gosh. my gosh. Daniel: 250 in 22 pass attempts. Unbelievable. Yeah, we couldn't run the ball and we couldn't catch the ball. That's a bad combination on offense Clint: Real bad. Daniel: cloud. So 2024, obvious offensive deficiencies. 2025, obvious defensive deficiencies. Clint: Yes. Daniel: The thing that made me the most I wouldn't, and I say this now, and you can You can be like, whatever, this is a lie. It's not, this is BS. What we were three quarters into that game, Clint. And I legitimately thought to myself, I don't care if we lose this game because the team I'm watching right now. Now obviously I wanted to win the game. Clint: Yes. Daniel: But in the big picture, I had already seen enough to know that this team They may not win it all, but they are a legitimate Capital C championship contender this year. That's the thing I'm taking Clint: Yes. Daniel: away from this week. Not that we beat Alabama, but that Clint: No. Daniel: we are good enough to win it all. Clint: Daniel, I couldn't agree more. I'm gonna tell you the things that I see to this team. Now, look, each championship winning team is different, but there are certain things about football. It's kind of like when people say, Well, space is new. Well, not really. We've always been somewhere and it's been around for a while. We've Daniel: Not outer space, it's been around for a while. Yeah. Clint: been somewhere and we've wanted to explore. And we got on ships and pointed a direction and say, I have no clue where we're going, let's go. And then we got there and we're I want to explore more. I want to climb that thing. I want to go. Hey, the ocean's weird. Let's go down there. Hey, that's weird. Let's Okay, so the the principles are the same. And the same thing in football, okay? It's like now all of a sudden RPOs are starting to come back down to Earth. Okay? Before the the Wildcat, that was a fun thing for a hot minute. Daniel: Had its run. Had its run. Darren McFadden, unbelievably fun era of college football. Remember that Arkansas fans? Clint: Unbelievable. So much fun. Okay. Remember that Archie South? That was the like the one time. Daniel: god. Clint: you still have to block and tackle and take like all of the fundamental principles are still there. This Georgia team does those fundamental principles better than any other team I have laid eyes on this entire year. Full and complete stop. Daniel. There's not another team that I think poses that same exact threat to us. Can can you think of a a team that comes close to managing the fundamentals? Tackling, blocking, running, physicality, smarts, passing explosiveness, defensive process, aggression. I because I can't. Daniel: There are teams that can beat us this year. And that's why I say it's certainly not a foregone conclusion Clint: I d yes. Yes. Daniel: we're gonna win. Those days are over. The days of the foregone conclusion we're gonna win a national championship, those days are over. But there's not been a team since this guy, since Stetson Fleming Bennett the fourth was on campus. There's not been a team that has given me the confidence that they can. Go all the way and they can win it all. I have not I did not feel that with the twenty three team, the twenty four team, the twenty Clint: No. No. Daniel: five team. They were good. They had really good things about them. You could argue the twenty three team was better than the twenty four or twenty five team and that team didn't even make the playoff. Clint: I I would certainly say that. Daniel: But there were good things about those teams. But you said it. This team, what are we doing? We're getting pressure with four guys, Clint. Our Clint: my goodness. Daniel: defensive line alone is getting pressure. Big Joe is getting pressure. Valden Sohn is getting pressure. Elijah Griffin is getting pressure. Gabe Harris is getting pressure. Q is getting pressure. We are getting pressure with four. Clint: Do you think about those four really quick and the and the rotation that they have? But but literally, those four, if they lined up and we dropped everybody else back and Chris Cole spied in the middle, I'm not thinking, damn it, Glenn, what did you do? I'm thinking, Daniel: Right. Clint: let's go. Daniel: We got a shot to get home. But then Glenn's gonna bring Chris Cole. He's gonna Clint: He bring a Chris. Daniel: bring Justin Williams. He's gonna bring some of these guys. He's gonna bring a corner off the edge. So George is gonna be able to blitz and get pressure, but they're able to get pressure without it. That's a key. George's tackling fundamentally, like you said, is so Clint: my goodness. Daniel: consistent. It's so elite in the sec from the second, from the back of the secondary all the way. to the front. Clint: Yes. Daniel: Elite in terms of the fundamentals on the defensive side of the ball. And then you flip it over the offensive side the ball, Clint. And this offense has no weaknesses. None. This Clint: Ne none! Daniel: offense is the best offense in college football. And I say that with one hundred percent seriousness. Clint: I know what Minsa and Tony do down there. I get it. I understand. They cannot Daniel: They have I didn't say they had the best stats. Clint: they cannot hold a candle to our offense. Daniel: No, we don't have as good a stats. We have the best offense in all of college football. We can run it at you. We can throw it at you. And listen, friends, Oklahoma beat Texas. That did nothing to change how good Oklahoma's defense was before they beat Texas. They were really good before they beat Texas. Okay. We moved it all up and down the field, all over them. Clint: Yes. Daniel: Alabama has a really solid defense, a really tough physical defense. Clint: Very I honestly I was very impressed with that. Not like no tongue in cheek. I was very impressed with their defensive physicality. Daniel: We moved it all up and down the field, all over them. This offense, fifth in the nation in ru in yards per carry, running the ball. Top ten in yards per pass. So we do it all. Gunnar Stockton's been sacked like three times all year, Clint. The pass pro on this offensive line is as good as you will ever see in college football. Clint: These I should call these guys the ranch hands because the amount of horseshoes they're throwing out there is incredible. Daniel: Yes, sir. They got a leaner, a ringer, they got all sorts of they're they're accumulating points. Clint: They got all their horseshoe effect they have in the pocket is coach clinic tape on the road in Tuscaloosa. Daniel: It truly we Yeah. It absolutely is. Clint: It's insane. Daniel: the fundamentals of this team, the way that they've been able to get it done. I'm not saying it's gonna be a perfect season. I'm not saying Clint: No? Daniel: Georgia's even gonna go twelve and in the regular season. There could be a loss coming. I'm not saying we're gonna win the SEC championship game against whoever it is that we end up playing in that game. Clint: Maybe. Daniel: I mean somebody's gonna win some games. Who's it gonna be? Florida? No nope. Texas? Clint: De They took a cup No Texas Daniel: They might lose to Florida. Do you see what we're saying? Do you see what we're saying? Somebody's gotta win some of these games. I'm not saying it's gonna be a perfect season. But when Georgia gets into the playoff, which they punched their ticket off, they're in. Clint: We end. Daniel: They're in the playoff. When Georgia gets in the playoff, I am going to like their chances to have a legitimate shot to win Clint: Yes. Daniel: it all. And I did not, I'll be total honesty. I did not feel that way last year, and I did not feel that way the year before. Clint: No, we we were propping them up. This year we Daniel: Ha ha ha Clint: don't have to prop up anything about this team. I don't have to make Daniel: No, no. Clint: any excuses. I don't have to give context.
