  story comes to us from CNBC. Surprisingly, and I don't know if you

  guys know, but this week was the earnings report for Paramount. Oh yeah,

  our first real real measurement of Paramount Plus and how it's doing, and

  uh, things are not well. Things are not well. The stock fell

  over twenty eight percent after the report. The company cut its dividend from twenty
• 2:27
  four cents of share to five cents of share. Ouch. Yeah, the

  revenue was less than what they thought. So what's going on is it's bye

  bye bye bye bye. It's down by it now. Well, so here's

  the thing. I saw some analysis on this because I really got into the

  weeds on this one. Um, basically, Paramount is fighting for fifth place.

  So you've got Netflix, you've got met Max, you've got Disney Plus,

  you've got Prime. They're fighting against Peacock. Basically, it's like them

  and people. Oh geez, that's like the bottom of the barrel. Yeah

  yeah, yeah, yeah kind of. And so to be is just sitting

  on the side popcorn exactly, yeah, free b Yeah. Well and then

  the other thing too, is like Amazon has got you know, um Amazon

  poor big giant conglomerate. Anyways, Um, so they don't have the funding

  that the other guys have. And so what this analysis that I was reading

  was talking about was maybe they should just give up Paramount Plus and go the

  Sony route where they just sell their shows to other streamers and then they don't

  have this giant streaming service that they're trying to pay for and operate. And

  I've been talking about the streaming wars for a very long time. I wouldn't

  say since the beginning of us starting the show backup in twenty eighteen, but

  probably pretty close to that, right, like maybe twenty twenty twenty nine.

  Definitely twenty twenty ish when things were kind of going to hell in a handbasket.

  Um. But yeah, I mean, at some point in these streaming

  wars, you're gonna have victors and you're gonna have losers, and it could

  be the Paramount and Peacock are the first two to lose. Yeah, I

  mean it's not sustainable, everybody having their own streaming service, everybody unting eight

  bucks a month, it's just not it's not sustainable. At some point people

  make choices and say I'm not doing this. I mean it's gonna be a

  nightmare for us, because then that means Star Trek would be everywhere, and

  then yeah, well that's okay. I don't know if it would be every

  Well, I hope they wouldn't do that. I don't sell the idea

  So we have different different stations that we're trying to fill. We have captain,

  medical officer. Can pick an outsider, some wild cards, and an adversary.

  So the rules are no start characters allowed, and once a character from

  a franchise is selected, that franchise is completely off the board for everybody,

  for everybody. Yeah, I was like, I'm in Yeah. So if

  Dan picks Egon from Ghostbusters as his chief engineer, no more Ghostbusters. If

  Chad picks Tony Stark for his chief engineer, no more Marvel. All right,
