- 0:00SPEAKER_02: In this episode we talk the EHL.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: We apologize for the last two weeks, so we're gonna re repeating ourselves or the last two weeks results.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: News is Oman, the new location for the men's Olympic qualifying and the new segment in the coop with YUP.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: All next.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: Kind of part two, because uh we tried to record last week and it was uh normally we had a full full agreement that it was so bad we couldn't post it.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: So apologies for this two-week delay.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Um it was it it it was too good, it was too funny, and uh it was so well prepared that we didn't want to set the bar that high uh for the next couple weeks because we want to keep it a light-hearted chat and not like a well-prepared good discussion.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: So we want to we we we saved us ourselves from doing more work, right, Phil?
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean normally I'm the negative asshole in the group, and I normally finish every episode and go, it wasn't very good.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: But last week I actually finished it and went that was terrible, and you two actually agree with me for the first time.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: So that's when I knew shit had really hit the fan.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: That's really funny though.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, funny up to a point, and then you realise that we just we just produced crap for 45 to an hour.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: It was actually a longer episode than I realised as well.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: It was a full hour of crap.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: So here we go, take two.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: He's like our hype man this week, he's been all over it, and we're prepared.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: And as we've already said, we are going to be bringing a new segment which you're excited about.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: Firstly, Yupe, can you give us a general lowdown of your last two weeks of results?
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Um, last two weeks.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we we we played a decent game against uh HGC away.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Uh won 9-0, which was uh yeah, quite uh quite the game, to be honest.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Um I never was uh never was up 7-0 at halftime ever in my hockey career, so I was a bit uncomfortable if that makes sense.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Um and you know everyone says uh yeah, let's keep it going, and you know for a fact you're not gonna keep it going because who are we kidding?
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, but we ended up winning 9-0 against Hagese, which was a team we used to struggle a lot against in the last couple years, which was a team we drew last year, so we missed the playoffs.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Uh, and this week we played Amsterdam, also a team we also kind of struggle uh with in the last couple years, uh, but actually played a good game again 1-4-2.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Um, and we're at top of the table, won all our games.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: So, again, feeling a bit uncomfortable and waiting for it to all go to shit.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: But as of now, I feel really good.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: How are you guys?
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: That's that's like Brendan anytime he's plays golf.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: He always starts really strong and then he talks his way out of it.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: He's like, he's like, it's too good, it's gonna go terribly.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: And then like the fifth holy, he hits 12.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: We still need to release that video.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we do.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: But like to be honest, like we're actually it's like not lucky, like we're actually playing good hockey, and we're actually doing the things we say we're doing, so it it's it's like all like it's not a it's not a coincidence or anything.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Like we're actually we're we're like all of the games we've played, I think we were the better team.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: So that that that gives me some confidence.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, again, not not it's been a while since Oranio Road was at the top of the league and was like actually playing decent hockey, so yeah.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: That's that's amazing.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Nice change of scenery.
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: And before we get on to Brendan, I should say we are brought to you by Y1, who who are doing better posts about Yupe than they've done about anyone ever.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: They must have done some good content with you because another post has just come out, you know.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: Check out their page, bringing out just you, being all modely, and I don't know how they've quite done it, but fair fair play to them.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Uh Brendan.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: You know what, Phil?
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna stop you there.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: It takes a good model to make good content.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: It's just I'm the gift that keeps on giving.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: I'm just that hidden gem that no one.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Y1 saw the hidden gem that was Up the Mole and put it out there.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: That's what happened.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: But thank you, Y1.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: You're doing amazing, great takes, love it.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Shut up, Brendan.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: How did you get on?
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Oh the last two weeks uh we played uh Southgate away, which was a pretty fun game to be honest.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Um amazing club, really good atmosphere, really enjoyable.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, 7-3, which was pretty good.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Uh and then uh last weekend we played or the game just gone, we played against Wimbledon, which was a pretty dreadful game.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Um we snuck a 1-0 win.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: What's up?
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Oh good.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Snuck a 1-0 win.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: That's not very exciting, is it?
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: No, it I'll be honest, the game was pretty poor quality, uh wasn't really enjoyable.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: Uh a lot of moaning, a lot of whining.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: I'm really disappointed to say that for some reason everybody moans and whines against us, so I feel like we're a bit of the catalyst in that, uh, which is not a nice with a common denominator, which is not a positive thing.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: And the last two weeks for Holcomb, well, we went to the EHL, so um we've got I guess quickly talk about that.
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: First of all, if anyone didn't if anyone caught the games, hopefully they I'm pretty sure they were actually quite good um footage.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure these two choppers watched, but uh just to give anyone some information Pinake, Rottweiss, Gantois, and Club de Campo were already through.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: This is all the men's side for now.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: And then last week four more teams go through to the quarterfinals, and old Georgians did it for the first time ever, the English side.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: Polo Club, Campong, and Leopold got through.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Holcomb won the first round, we beat a French side, and then we lost to Polo Club in the last 16.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Um it was it was it was pretty good, I think.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: It was quite a cool event.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: Um, I've got a couple of couple of points.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: The first one is I met the French guy that got spat at um so what you weighed in at a couple of weeks ago, and I just wanted to um sh well give a little bit of information of an interaction I had with him.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: Um and maybe No, I'm not gonna go that far.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: He he he was very angry, man.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: He was the captain of the French team that we played.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: He was very angry from the start.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: There was no talking to him.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: They scored a goal which was disallowed, and it was like a really nice goal, it's like a reverse hit across the D, but it was like hip height, and a guy touched it in.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: Um, and they disallowed it, and he was going mental.
- 7:18SPEAKER_02: And I ran past him, I was like, it was a really nice finish, though.
- 7:21SPEAKER_02: Being like kind of sincere, and he was like, Hey, fuck you, fuck you, and then he ran off.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: And I was like, Oh, well, fair enough, that seems a bit far.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: And a number of other of our boys got into altercations with him, so yeah.
- 7:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, maybe it suggests why.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I'm never gonna say why someone spats someone because it's disgusting, but yeah, he was he was a feisty chap.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: He sa he sounds a knobed.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: Just leaving it at that.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: He doesn't he doesn't sound like one.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: We can just confirm he is a knobed.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: If it happens once, if it happens once, it can be an accident.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: If it happens twice, then maybe you would say, Oh, that's that's very coincidental.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: If it happens three times, then there's just a pattern there, then you're just a dick.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Well, you're are you saying that basically people should go around spitting at him so that then he's the common denominator?
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: We're just saying by chance across if it happens by chance.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: It's not a message we want.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying I'm not saying I condone the spitting, but I get where it's coming from.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: You've already well, I feel like you don't need to go down this road again.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Did you uh either of you guys actually catch any of the EHL?
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Yes, Philip.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: I did watch something.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: I caught um Blumadal versus Kampong.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Um because it was on NOS and I didn't have to pay uh 50 uh something euros to watch some of the games.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Um and it was not the best game, it was like a pretty shitty, shitty game to be honest.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Um also a ref gave a corner to Kampong, which ended up being the the corner that got scored.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Arty van Dole was a bit of a He had like a weird game, and I think it was I think you you you want to get in on this, but it was it it it it's it's good for everyone else's confidence as a hockey player that even the best in the world sometimes struggle if that makes sense.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean didn't he he got he got cracked in the head and then he tipped in he did something something else happen to him and then he ended up flailing a reverse stick down for Yip Jansen's drag flick which somehow deflects off his own stick and goes in the goal.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he and he like he he he ran backwards towards his own like circle and then someone was in his way and he like fell over him, uh which was like kind of funny to be honest.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Um, but then he he like a player of Blumenau like or of uh kampong did like uh he dragged it back and it was like not not on his foot, everyone saw, except for the two people that have to see it, uh, and they gave a corner and that ended up being the corner, so there was it was a pretty controversial end.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Um, and I feel like last couple weeks, I won't get into referees because they're my friends now and I love them, but there's been there's been a controversial um decision every week, I feel like last couple weeks, and especially in the Hofklasse.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: I mean, I did want to weigh in on that Blumendale Campon game because basically everyone who was playing in Barcelona, I think, like turned out for that game.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: It was a really cool crowd, like people buzzing to watch that game, and it just felt in the end like a bit of like chess and a bit of like basically there's so many like amazing players on the pitch, they're completely stacked, but it comes down to like tactics and physicality as opposed to I mean I'd love to play like the the the best game where no everyone full presses, everyone goes all out, and you just see the best players, some of the best players in the world, like playing attacking flare hockey.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: I know that's not how hockey works, but hockey's adapted and changed into this like you know, sports science.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: We have to do more tactics, we have to do more, but it's just it'd be cool.
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: I would have preferred to see a 6-5.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Um on that, uh I got a question asked to me today um by a member of Blumental that asked the question has hockey lost its beauty?
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: You can just say uh it's Wallace, right?
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: Well, you're trying to keep it a little bit of more secrecy, but yes, it was, yeah.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was has hockey lost its beauty was the question, linked to ropes' point there.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: And I I think yes, I think it has.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Well, it it I don't think it's it's lost its beauty, because I think there's still I I like I think the the I do think the higher the level the more it's about defending and less about attacking.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Uh it's more about not conceding goals and than it is about uh scoring as many as you can.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Um so so that that's I think the the way the sport is going, and also I think hockey is going more towards being more being an athlete, being able to run.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Like if you see our Dutch team now, compared to like the team we had five years ago.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Uh if you look at our strikers only, it's not the strikers who are like very uh skillful, good in small spaces, like the Miko Prizers, uh players like that.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: It's it's more like I think Cherry is is is a bit of the the odd one there, but it's like mostly run and gun kind of players, people who players who run about 13 kilometers a game, sprint uh at least 34 kilometers an hour and are like pure athletes.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: And I think that's what the game is turning more into, like players like Wallace, Vela, those are turning out to be the better players in the world, and you have like the like the Van Albos still, who still also runs a lot, but is more of the skillful player.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: So I think that's that's what the game has turned.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: It's become more of like a sprinting sprinting game kind of sport instead of yeah, the small sports.
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: The classic the classic example is like 10 years ago, there wasn't any um like really good number one runners in the world, so no one like in a penalty corner, basically someone ran out and put a bit of pressure on the top, and then there'd be everyone kind of stood there waiting for the flick, and someone could bin it in either and any corner they wanted, and it was like amazing to watch, yeah.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: And and everyone would be like sick, like that drag flick is amazing.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: They'd score like 50% of the time, it'd be awesome.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: And now, like the best drag flickers in the world are probably scoring 20% of the time because the runners are amazing, everyone's brave as brave as anything, putting their left hands on the ground, like it's just uh that to me is the best example, and it makes me a bit sad.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I'm all think to the fact of how the game's formatted.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: So obviously, we've gone from 235s where people basically like you you wouldn't rotate as much, you'd play more of the game, so naturally, like there wasn't as much as as you says, the more run and gun stuff, whereas now it's four fifteen or four seventeen and a halves in EHL.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: It's a lot different, I think, in terms of the format, and that's what's kind of like for me a little bit of uh I don't know, a bit I think it's tough.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: I think it's certainly adds into it as well because it used to be 16 players, now it's 18.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: Like I think it I think the format tends to well lends towards a more we've got to sprint this, that, and the other.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: And and for me, like I think it like similar to Ropes' point, like when you watch a Bloomadar vs.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: Kampong, you want to see a 7-5 or you want to see a 6-4 rather than a 2-1.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: I think like the way it goes, and I think Campong have also bucked the trend a bit by being defensively very, very good as well, and Bloomadar for that matter, but it's like for me, for me, it has uh it has lost its elegance and kind of fluidity to what than what it is now.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: It adds into what we played this weekend.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: Holcomb played Oxted and this new stupid German thing where people have started doing a low block zone, which if for anyone who doesn't know that, it's where a team sits at 30 yards in a zone or press, and um we we won 1-0 against Oxted.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: It wasn't like I'm not blaming them, but they they got a new press and they did it quite a lot where they just sit at 30 yards and you have to try and break them down, and it's really difficult.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: And basically, like great chicken though, right?
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: We were at home, so disappointing.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's that's and their coach spoke to me afterwards.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: Um, I used to play with him in my youth, but he said, Oh, I was really hoping that we'd like get a good review on the pod, but but they they one of their guys put in possibly the worst tackle I've ever seen in a hockey pitch at the end of the game, turned into a bit of a scuffle, probably could have been a couple of red cards, but it's one of them where you know, like a team are getting really, really angry, and then they should get a really obvious foul that doesn't come, and then our player tries to run off with the ball, and two of them just go to absolutely scythe him down, and as he's on the floor, also kind of give him an extra on while he's down there, and then like we got players running in from 30 yards having a good old like bit of handbags, and I was like, Yeah, I can't really talk too highly off you, but you know, the guy who actually hit him was just in the middle being like that.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: I feel quite bad about that.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: That was bad.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: I love I love people who have no emotional self-control, like it takes one to know one, let that be abundantly clear.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: But like the Tom Gambushes of the world, I just fucking love them, they're amazing.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Who don't who first act, then think.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: That's what that's where the magic happens.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Like the rational people in this world isn't they're no fun.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: You need the ones who just go out on a limp, do whatever comes up in their mind, fucking do it.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is also a bit of a shit or hit because I have to do it as well.
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: Like, what do you guys think of this?
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Because what the Oxted guys that had like three different presses, and when they were in one of the presses, they'd shout a certain word and then they'd go into the press.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: So, for example, they'd be shouting Gantois, Gantoir, and that would be like a version of a press, and then they'd say something like Sheila, and that'd be another press.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: And I I thought we were talking about it at the end, and I was like, first of all, it you asking to be called, you know, it's it's it's a fairly loser move to be shouting Gantois, Gantois for a low block, not fairly, not fairly, it's a complete loser move.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay, complete loser, and then and then secondly, like I thought it's not that hard to crack the code, is it?
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: If someone's shouting like Sheila and then everyone stands next to a man, it's like oh it's it's man to man.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: Like, and I was like, that's a good shit or hit, because I kind of get it, like it makes everyone get on the same page, but at the same time, you could just shout man to low low zone.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: If you come up with some really funny ones, like Gentwise, just that that's for this that's that's ridiculous.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: You're just giving credit to this the random Belgium team because they play a low zone.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: If you go like yell, Motherfucker, and then everyone goes into a low zone, I think that's where you that's where it's like really cool.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: But everyone echoes it as well.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: You're probably getting yourself into some trouble there as well, aren't you though?
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe a little bit.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: Just shouting motherfucker across a pitch multiple times.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, fair.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: But you know my friends you get my point.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so quick quickly before we um get on to uh the new segment, I will give a few of a couple of bits of news.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: Firstly, Indian men and China women uh respectively won their Asian Games, which gives them the Olympic ticket for Paris next year, so congratulations to them.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Still feel slightly sour grapes that they have to beat like Malaysia and Japan uh to and we have to and you know the European powerhouses have got to try and win.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: Um's league.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: But congratulations to both of them teams.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: And Oman is the new location for one of the men's Olympic qualifying events in January.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: So it was in Pakistan, they've now moved it to Oman.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: It's a bit of a strange one because they're not a host nation, but it should be quite cool.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: What do you guys think?
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Well, I got some I got some inside intel.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Um, like first of all, uh I don't really give a shit because I'm not in it.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Let that be abundantly clear.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Secondly, uh apparently they're sending uh the referees from the B pool towards Oman.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: So like yeah, so not the A-list referees, so the referees who go to like Olympics and shit, but they send the B referees who are who have to like European Cup B and whatever.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: They they're going there.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm wishing you both a lot of good luck.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And I hope your emotional control will be good because there will be some major fuck-ups, and luckily there's not a lot on the line on the Olympic qualification, but I think it will be one big shit show to be honest.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: But the field is apparently really shit as well, because no one plays hockey in a man.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: It's a lovely country though.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I've been there on a holiday, it's fucking amazing.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: But I don't think for hockey it's the place to be.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Brilliant.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: Um I do have a question on it.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Like, why would you not put it in like France, for example, like pre-Paris?
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Or like why would you not put it in LA for like pre-LA?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: Like, why a man of all places when they're not even qualified themselves for the qualifier?
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: I just don't make much sense to me to be honest with you.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: There's a World Cup for Hockey Fives as well, right?
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolute potato sport, get rid of it.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: Not interesting.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Fucking waste of time.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Waste of time, absolute shambles.
- 21:21SPEAKER_02: Maybe they'll put a hockey fives event next to our quali Olympic qualification event, so you never know.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: I just don't really understand.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: I don't really understand like Lithuania play Belarus.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: Turkmenistan are on their 60-hour bus over, fantastic.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but mine is a really cool country though.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: That's the only thing that's like a major positive out of it, I think.
- 21:51SPEAKER_02: In the coop with Yupe, the working tile.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: We we we Yupe really wanted something that was his own.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Put a lot of effort in, and so we're not really sure what this is, but um I'm kind of handing my hosting duties over to Yup for this segment.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: So excited.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Thank you, thank you, uh host Sir Philip.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Um, I do want to say um I'm I'm not I'm not I'm not accepting this.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: You wanted something on his own.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I already brought a lot.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Um, it's just that you said uh that I do fuck all.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: So I took it personal and thought, okay, I'm gonna do um a bit more than fuck all.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Um and I came up with uh a lot of like dilemmas and shit.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: And then um Brendan came with the like the dilemma de mole or something, which we all thought was like not it, and then you came with you in the coop, and I had no idea what coop coop was, but here we are.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: I'm a chicken, I'm gonna ask you some dilemmas.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: Let us know what you guys think about it by sending us an email to let's stick together to 2018 at gmail.com beautiful yes, here we are.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Alright, children, first first question.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: If you had to make a team, but the team is made out of the same 11 out of the same player 11 times, who would it be?
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: It is it it it's it's a bit weird English, but is it do you get the question?
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we can't get the question.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Phil, you can go first.
- 23:36SPEAKER_02: No, because you've done prep for this.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: I haven't done prep.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: No no, Phil, you go first.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: I want to see you, I want to see you struggle.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: If you both behind on prep.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: No, the hardest bit that I basically came through was trying to work out obviously you've got 10 outfielders, but you've got a goalkeeper, so you've got to have somebody that can basically you think could be a decent goalkeeper.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's the goalkeeper as well.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I I I settled on somebody, but I'm really not sure.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: I think because I quite like the guy, I think he's quite like he's very good at his position, but I also think he's got the ability to play everywhere, and because he's big, I also think he'd be a decent goalie.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Go on, Brent.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: I've gone from I've gone for the Dutch carrot farmer, I've gone for Vautibor.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: It's a great, great fucking pick.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: I think that's a great pick.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: And why?
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: Because you think he's big.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: You think yeah, I I get where you're coming from with that.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: I didn't think about him.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: That's a good one.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: I thought that it was between genuinely between him and Ames, but then I thought we can't have 11 players that are all injured at the same time.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: So I thought, right, we'll go with we'll go with the carrot farmer.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: I I just think he offers something a bit different as a goalie, but also he's got some serious flair, some serious hands, scores quite a few goals, defensively good.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Um I reckon he's got some big feet, so he's got some big pads.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can see that.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: I think that's a that's a very good one.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Proper prep that, Phil.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Well done, Brendan.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: I expected you to come up with some shitty fuck up, but you did you did really well.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: I'm proud of you.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Could have been someone like Hugo Inglis.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I was expecting a kiwi.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: To be fair, I was expecting a kiwi.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: Come on and Phil, what you got?
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I'm I'm struggling a little bit here, but I'm okay.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: I'll give you I'll give you some some some some inspiration.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Well, because I also thought about this one because I thought it was a really good question by the question master.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Um I was thinking uh first I thought, okay, Van Alball Um is a guy who can play midfield and striker.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: He's a line defender, so he's on the line with the corner, and he's good at it, so he know he's not scared of the ball.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: He could be a decent goalie.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: I do think in the back we would lack a bit of ball pace because he can pass for shit, because he like Phil, he almost never passes the ball.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: So um, but I I he was on top of my list.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: I also thought the Slover, who is like very agile, he has a good hands, he has a really good shot, also a line defender.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: Um, so I was doubting between those two.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Now that you said Waterbull, I'm kind of jealous because I wanted to come up with that one, but I'm going with the Slover.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: I think he's really good in all places in the back.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: He would at the way he wrote, he sometimes goes into the midfielder and it's like, oh, you're a decent midfielder.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: He has a good shot, and I think as a goalie he would be pretty decent because he's a line defender.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: So I said a lot of words, not necessarily, but I said a lot of words, Phil, to give you some time.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Now you should come up with at least a decent one.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm I'm I'm not gonna go with any of your rationale.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go with I'm gonna be like be like my version of Yupe.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: I'm going Sevi Van Ass right now.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: Hear me out.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: This is rash.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: I don't think he goes on the line, I don't think he's particularly brave.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Uh he's a really nice player and he can drag flick and score a goal.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: I want pure flair.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: I want 10 Sevi Van Asses where they just make people look like dicks, they don't run back, not interested in that.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: Right, we're gonna win every game like eight, seven.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: No, we'll probably lose most of the games because we haven't got a keeper.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: But like I'm fully committed on the sideline as the coach, being like, This is my team, I love my team, and then every time he doesn't run back, I'm like, it's fine, don't worry about it, we'll get the next one.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: Who would be the worst?
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Like who would be who would be who would be the worst?
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Because now you said Sevy.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: He was like not not even close to coming on my list.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: He's a really, really good hockey player, but he has his flaws, like every hockey, but like you need a co as complete player as possible, and that's like not really Sevy.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: He's just really really really fucking good at what he does.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: Like it's not like I would say like a kind of like a Benderek or like Ward, who's like really good at their own position, being like a striker, a finisher, like you would not want to have that guy a centre back taking the balls, right?
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: Um well yeah, I mean they've all got their positives.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: What I was just thinking about with the whole time you were talking was like 11 Van Asses against 11 Votelbus, and I was like, I really would like to see who won that.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I mean too.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I think it'd be a good man.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: I just think every time Votelboo enters the D, it's fucking mayhem because like Chevy Sevy has a goalie.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: I would love to see that.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Would be really good.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Can we clip this?
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is a clippable one.
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: You gotta see it, make it happen.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: I just all we need to do is duplicate them all ten times, and then you know, the science for that, I'm sure.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: I just like the idea of Caribbean being on the field 11 times.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: All three of us, and we played a mini tournament.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Who would win?
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Because Phil, you know, terrible at defending.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: I know who would win.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: You think you would win, but you're fucking terrible at defending, mate.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: You're fucking terrible at defending.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: I think if I say you've stolen five balls in your entire hockey career, it's a lot, it's a stretch.
- 29:25SPEAKER_02: You need to talk to Brendan.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: I'm a new man.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: I'm not giving you any satisfaction, Phil.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: You see comparison.
- 29:33SPEAKER_02: Brendan just said to me, he's got he's he's he's he's not in it right now.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: What he said to me is wow, Phil, you're some defender.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: I'm not giving you any satisfaction, Phil.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: No satisfaction whatsoever.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Phil's made a few tackles in trading and suddenly thinks he's like van der Horst.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: It's a joke.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Well, Van der Horst also couldn't really defend this actually.
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: I'll tell you who's coming last out of the out of the three of us.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: You yeah, agreed.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: What you're forgetting, Phil, is I'm a decent goalie.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: This is what you're forgetting.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: You know the only reason I would maybe come in last because no one wants to be on the left side in my team.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: That's that might be the only thing no one wants to play on the left.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: We're like with 11 guys on the right hand side, and there's just not enough.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: This might be the only reason I would not win.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: We've we've had a great matchup, me and you, because there'd be 11 of me on the left, and 11 of you on the right.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: I just I remember like, do you do you remember the junior Olympics ropes in Australia?
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: We had two goalkeepers, so we had two goalkeepers on our under-21 side, and we basically had to name a third goalie.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: So we had tryouts on one training on one training day out in Australia, and it was and the only tryouts we had was a few shots from top D, a few corners, and some strokes, and that was it.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: That was all our tryouts was for goalies.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: I don't really like doing this, but Brendan is actually quite a good goalie.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: I get some real satisfaction from it.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: Lockdown as well.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: I trained as a goalie in lockdown.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Phil, you say it, you say it like it's a compliment.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: It's not, it's not.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: Like congratulations to you, Brendan.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: You're a good goalie.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Like, what what brings you that in life?
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: Tough comments.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: I can't believe I missed this.
- 31:23SPEAKER_02: You giving me shit about defending.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it took you a while to defender in the year.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not gonna be able to do that.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: I'm with you on this film.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Come on, be a bit more sharp than this.
- 31:36SPEAKER_00: You could you could have had at least five dicks at my defending, and you just took none.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: Uh you I have a request.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: Can you please get the carrot farmer up in goalie kit during your Dutch stuff this week?
- 31:47SPEAKER_01: Because I would love to see him in goalie kit.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: I know Flores uh Woto, I think already.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: I think I've known him for already 12 like 15 years, I know since I was really young, and we played together.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: And when we used to hang out and we had like sleepovers, um we hung out like every weekend, and he had like a full goalie kit at his house.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: So we when we were young, we used to like take some hockey balls.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: He was in a goalie kit, or I was in a goalie kit, and we would just hit it at each other and just pretend that we were real goalies and shit.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: So I know like to be fair, Wortel is good in almost everything he does when it comes to ball sports, he just has a natural touch.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: You can give him a football, uh, tennis racket, hockey stick, whatever, he can do it.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: So if I I would not be surprised if he's a good goalie.
- 32:35SPEAKER_01: We um we used to do it as we used to have training on Friday mornings up at when we were at uni, and if no goalie turned up, I was I was always so keen on getting in some goalie kit and basically being the goalie for the session.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: Unsurprisingly, we used to play a game called Swede, where you just you aim of the game in Swede was just to hit somebody in the head with a hockey ball and you got some chocolate croissants for it, so that was always our game.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Oh that that explains a lot.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: That explains a lot, Brendan.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Brandon.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: Hey, fuck you.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: It's not on.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: Are we still are we still in the coop?
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're in the coop.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: The coop is just hey guys, just admit it.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: The coop is a wonderful place, yeah.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: It's very good in the coop.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, next question.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: A bit of a different bit of a U-turn here.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: You have to choose go a full round in a cage with Connor McGregor or be a goalie the rest of the season without protection for the Western Wildcats.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: You can you can wear PCD uh protection, so like the knee pads, foot protection, a glove, and a helmet.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: That's all you can wear.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm backing the Western Wildcats defense.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: I'm going for Western Wildcats.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: I'm with ropes on this.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: They're not in Europe anymore, so I'm with ropes.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: Plus, you know, like I reckon at the least you can probably get out of the way of the ball most of the time.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: Back yourself to be able to, if someone's hitting a ball from top D, would you back yourself to be able to either get out of the way or save it with PCD kit?
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'd probably be on the other side of the goal, like like pretending I'm gonna save it, but it's the Western Wildcats though.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: It's like a dream come true to play there, so that makes it tough.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've got Western Wildcats.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Wildcats.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: I've got no interest in getting in a ri in a cage with Conor McGregor.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: Absolutely zero interest.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: I'm go I'm going a full round with Conor McGregor.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: I'd give him a run for his money, I think.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm a thousand percent sure he doesn't listen to this, so I can honestly I can say it without 100% clipping this and tagging him.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: Um okay.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Next question in the coop with you.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Name a player, you would hit it through on purpose.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, now you guys gotta be honest.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: There it there is a name that popped up right away in your head.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: You just don't dare to say it immediately.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there is somebody thing.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: But he's retired.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: We can bring him back, we can put a jersey on him and we can bring him back.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: Who is it?
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: One 100% Lopez from Argentina.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: 100% Lopez from Argentina, 100%.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: That's just no, there's no there's no question in my mind.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: He used to do it to me all the time.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: I'd just love to get him one back.
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: You wouldn't like to do Mark Knowles, Brent.
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: If we're talking about retired people, nah, because I feel he'd pick it.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: I don't think Lopez is picking it, to be honest with you, but his mind also pick it and then do it again back to me.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: So I don't want to do that.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Brent would be so nervous he would like top the ball for together.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: He'd have talked me out of it, I reckon.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: I reckon he'd have talked me out of it.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: I'd crumble before I even got the chance.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, I left President, he's fucking shite.
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: He's fucking shy.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, piss off Mark, stop being mean.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Stop it, Mark.
- 36:18SPEAKER_03: I'm pretty decent.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Lopez, 100% Lopez.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: Who would you go for, Rebes?
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: I would take the captain, I would take the captain of the French, uh, the the guy who said fuck you to Phil.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: You don't say fuck you to my boy.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: I'm coming after you.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: Ah it's a tough it's a tough question, this, because there's there are quite a few names that come to mind.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in it's it's a lovely place the coop with you, but it's full of very difficult questions.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: It's a it's a I'm going around all the nations, but I just can't I can't like pinpoint one.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, because instantly you're thinking like I'm thinking Australians, you know, I'm always making friends with Australians, and then I'm like Argentinians, that's a good shout.
- 37:08SPEAKER_02: It's quite hard to get into beef with people in internationals nowadays because you just always like have to run away because you're training or you knackered or you just tired.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: There's gotta be someone who's giving you shit off the pitch, I reckon.
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: Who's giving me shit off the pitch?
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: It's probably someone's probably talked about your haircut or something.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, no one said no one ever said something about your hair feel, that's hard to believe.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: A guy at the weekend um like called me a pussy multiple times.
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: That was pretty funny.
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: And then and then just just to spite him, next time he tried to tackle me, I put my body in the way and fell over him on a corner, and then I gave him a thumbs up.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna use that more.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: The thumbs up is the most annoying.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: You don't you do nothing wrong, it's the most annoying thing to get against you.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: I'd I'd I I'd also argue that a thumbs down is also one of the most annoying things because you can't really overreact with it because it's a thumbs down, it's just offensive.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: But it's worse.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: I think I'd I'd I'd respond worse to a thumbs up than to um to the finger.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: I think I'd honestly feel more annoyed.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, Phil.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: Um Gurjan from India.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: Uh he he's hit a few of us, and then I got into it with him in the commies last year.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: So let's go with him.
- 38:25unknown: Come on.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: The thing with the thing with with with the Indians is always they're they're nasty, but they're always so sweet and like innocent afterwards that I'm always ah you did need it, you're fine.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: So I'm he's the one though that hasn't been like that.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying he's one of the best smelling blokes I've ever marked in international hockey.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: He smells absolutely incredible.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: It's always like a full bottle of cologne.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: He smells amazing.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: I feel it's not easy to be the host with Brennan and and me.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: I I I I see where you're coming from.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Do we do we want to go out of the coop or we want to go stay in the coop for a little longer?
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Should we we'll leave the coop until next week for some shit or hit?
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: That was the coop with you.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, seriously, you can let us know if you think that was funny or not.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: I mean, I thought it was really good, but maybe the title needs some working.
- 39:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I really enjoyed being in the coop.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: I really enjoyed being in the coop.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: It's a lovely place, the coop.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: We're staying.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: We're calling it.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: I don't give a shit whether people like it or not.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: We're calling it in the coop with you.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's do a couple of a couple of hockey ones to start with.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: Well, sorry, you don't know what you're saying.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: You go, Phil.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: I got a bit too confident, Phil.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: You go.
- 39:46SPEAKER_02: Right, let's do a couple of hockey ones.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: Shit or hit or what this shit or hit.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: White stick for the drag flicker.
- 39:56SPEAKER_02: This new thing that all the brands are getting on, where if you haven't seen it, they paint their stick white, and then apparently you can lose the ball while a drag flicker's flicking it, and then it's got more chance of scoring.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: What do you guys think?
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, like on one on one hand, I think it's I think it's a hit because I like that drag flickers like try new shit to innovate, and if it really works, then it would be cool.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: But I just don't feel like it works, to be honest.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't think it makes a difference.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: So that's what like I I love the idea of flickers.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: But I feel like the thing with with this is I feel like one of them starts it and the other ones just feel left behind if they don't do it.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think every one of the drag flickers sincerely believes that making their stick white will enhance their corner percentage.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: I just think, oh, I see Hendrix do it, now I'm a complete idiot if I don't do it.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: Like, you know what I mean?
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: That and also it's like it's showing off, isn't it?
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: It's like I'm the flicker of this team.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: Like I'm also really I really enjoyed like obviously when when companies do it themselves, so like it's properly done.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: We had a point where Banders, uh one of our forwards, was painting his own stick with with spray paint, and I just thought that's so budget, it's great.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: But that's what they all do, it's a real shit for me.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: Yep, Johnson did it as well.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: Everyone did it, I think.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just it's just shit.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: Also, if you're if you're getting done, if you're in the fifth team, um and and you're getting and you're rocking up with a white stick, and the guy's like, What have you got there, Ben?
- 41:28SPEAKER_02: And he's like, Yeah, just just just because of my drag flicking.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: Just watch, just watch, guys.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: Just watch my tally go up.
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: I also have only one film.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, go.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: I I didn't didn't know how to exactly name it, but the hard whistle.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: What I've what I think is fucking annoying is when when the ref on the other side of the field is like doing a really hard whistle or whatever you call it, it's like do just so the other can like take over and give a corner.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: If you think it's a corner, give a corner.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Like, don't don't have this whole charade of like, oh, I'm gonna blow my my whistle really hard, and it's up to him if he takes over, but they always take over.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: Just if you think you saw it, give a corner, we'll call you a dick, and we'll move on with the game.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Don't have this whole little uh shbang sh bang.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: I'd I think do you think there's often passive aggressive moments of whistling between the umpires as to who can get furthest into the other one's territory?
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: And they leave it and they're like I really like the idea though of like you's point of like a really aggressive whistle, and the other umpire just doesn't do anything about it, just like really aggressive whistle, and the other one's like, yeah, it's just a free it, I'm pretty happy with a free it, and that's it.
- 42:49SPEAKER_01: We didn't let go again, the second time, just to make it clear.
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: No, but not seen it.
- 42:57SPEAKER_02: Is that the equivalent of the one being stood at the halfway line doing the short corner like signal?
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: And the other one's just ignoring them.
- 43:05SPEAKER_02: It was a weep in orbs.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: It's a great you know what I also think that's also and um someone told this to me.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna name a shame.
- 43:13SPEAKER_00: Med Alz told it to me, and I thought it was a really good one.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: Why do they have to come together to discuss something?
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: They have the fucking ears, they can hear each other, right?
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: Why do you have to come together?
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: Why have that whole charade again?
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: That whole show of coming together, make everyone wait.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: You can hear each other, you can just stay right where you are, save some energy, and talk about it.
- 43:34SPEAKER_00: You don't have to come together.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Because they're a team, you they're a team, they need to come together, they need to talk about stuff.
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Can I can I bring up another umpire one?
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Please.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's the it's the it's the up ten.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: It's the up ten rule.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's yeah, I want I want it.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: I want it more.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: I want it more back again.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: I'm sick of I'm sick of it not being around.
- 43:56SPEAKER_01: I haven't seen it this year yet, and I really want to see it.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because this is another song.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: No umpires are listening, branch, but do you want to pass that out?
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: Do you want to do a call out to the umpires?
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've just done it.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: More up tens, more up tens for dissent.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: This has to be faith.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: Right when Brenda wants to give the umpires is showing his internet goes away.
- 44:15SPEAKER_00: I'll say what Brendan wants to say.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Brendan thinks you guys don't see less than you should.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: I think you guys are doing an awesome job.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Go go go reps.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: I had a couple I had a couple other uh um um shit or hits um FaceTime is that a shit or hit a hit for me.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so as well.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: But some people find it really annoying.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: I never goal anymore.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: I always FaceTime.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: I love I just love the FaceTime.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: I don't goal anymore.
- 45:01SPEAKER_00: I think goal is really good.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: The difference with you though is you do like like like right really annoying FaceTimes, like when it's like the wrong time, you're just like just outside the door and you'll FaceTime to come up.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: I remember you did that in Holland.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: It'd be like just call me, you're right outside the door, and then you'd be like, No, come on, talk to me.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it's like why not just call me?
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: No, I like FaceTime, it's a hit.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: Love to see who I'm speaking to.
- 45:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I had another one, uh, energy drinks, like Red Bull.
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: Shit or it.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Uh you have to say hit them, Red.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're they're a hit.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: I don't t I don't drink them, but they're a hit.
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: You're not contracted to say that.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: You're not you're not Maddy.
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: You can be your own man, you know.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: Nah, I can't.
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: Wait a minute, wait a minute.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Nick.
- 46:02SPEAKER_02: Red Bulls are a shit or a hit.
- 46:05SPEAKER_02: They're a hit.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: Or I say they're a hit.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there we go.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: You get plearning, what's she saying?
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: No, you're a bunch of bitches.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: I listen to no one.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: She cannot hear me, she's in the bath.
- 46:15SPEAKER_00: So otherwise I wouldn't be fair.
- 46:19unknown: No.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Wait a minute, I did that ironically.
- 46:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, so here's my opinion on them.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: I think they're a hit, because I think they're really nice.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: Like I I like the taste of it, but they're actually really shit, right?
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: It's like a shit ton of they they sell it as like a sports drink when it's just a whole shitload of sugar.
- 46:36SPEAKER_00: You can you can drink a Coca-Cola, it's the same effect, right?
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: Well, no.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean I don't I don't drink.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: I don't really know.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: Don't think we know the science part.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: Live a little, Phil.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: By the way, um I don't know if you want to end the episode already, but I had maybe just another treat as like the not the coop, but like when the chicken gets to run run outside of the coop just for like some free time.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: You want to be in the pen with you.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 47:11SPEAKER_02: If anyone doesn't understand, you just completely took over.
- 47:14SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I love it, but like this is now youpes.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: Come on, you finish the episode.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: This is the last one.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: We're in the pen with you.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: Where are we running to?
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: Well, I had a couple, I let a couple quick fire like goops with you.
- 47:27SPEAKER_00: Running around the field.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: I'm bringing you back in a goop.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: We're back in.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: Basically, imagine a chicken running past you very quickly and him firing a question at him and you go answer really quick.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: Ready.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: Yep, okay.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: So you have to choose one of the two.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Water or knee?
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: Which one would which one is better?
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: Water?
- 47:57SPEAKER_00: Water?
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: A bottle water or knee?
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: He's lost himself.
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: I still don't understand.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: You've lost himself.
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: Is it knee?
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: Is it knee?
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: Is that what you're asking?
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I thought you already asked the game wasn't funny with knee.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: But I think you guys are ridiculous for not from not pronouncing the T in water.
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: Well, some people do, they're very posh, they say water.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: Water, no, it's water.
- 48:24SPEAKER_02: A bottle or water.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're still sensitive because when we're in Holland, every time someone said knee, me and Amesy pissed ourselves.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: And then you were like, what are you laughing at?
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: It's like, oh, I heard my knee.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, but that's fucking insane.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: It's fucking ridiculous as well.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: We've we've already we've already ran past.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: Give us our next one.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: So but which one did you choose?
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: Knee.
- 48:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: Um BA or Premier League?
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: MBA.
- 49:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, MBA, I think.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:06unknown: Yeah.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: Brandon, you're a bottle job.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: You love the Premier League.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: Oh, and it's glory.
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know every Liverpool player who played in the 2002 team.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: Pre to the pre-2012, I reckon, Premier League.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: Post that NBA.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, Gibraltar C say.
- 49:29SPEAKER_01: Such terrible chat.
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: Also, great rec great use of the Gibraltar Cisei.
- 49:33SPEAKER_01: I'm enjoying that.
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: Niche.
- 49:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:41unknown: Okay.
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: What's next?
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: Final one.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: They were definitely out of the coup for a week ago.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: Um Michael Scott or Dwight Shrood?
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: It's gotta be Dwight, hasn't it?
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: Dwight Shroud.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's gotta be Dwight.
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: I I'm going with Michael.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: No, I'm going with Michael.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: I like I love Dwight, but I think Michael's fucking hilarious.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: Right, I love the Coop, but but but outside the Coop, I'm not sure about this one.
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: Oh well fuck you, Phil.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: I'd love for the closer outside the coop.
- 50:17SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: We we've I think we started strong.
- 50:20SPEAKER_02: We've we've I'm not sure about the ending, but this has been Let's Stick Together episode four.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: It has been we are officially back, and we have been let's stick it together with the lucky men.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: You know what, Phil Fuck you.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: I I I I spend a lot of time on also the quick fire ones and the shit of it, and you just bash him.
- 50:41SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: Um I think people loved it.
