- 0:02Speaker 1: I know you may be asking what's next?
- 0:06Speaker 1: What's my purpose?
- 0:07Speaker 1: What if?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Because I've asked those too.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Welcome to the Start your Comeback Podcast.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm Toni Thrash, a certified life coach, and I want to share the tools and practical steps to help you create a winning game plan to move into your new adventure.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Hi, welcome back.
- 0:57Speaker 1: You are listening to episode 53.
- 1:00Speaker 1: The last few weeks, I've been talking about the sound of you.
- 1:05Speaker 1: In the first week, I urged you to begin the practice of listening to you for the first 20 minutes of your day.
- 1:13Speaker 1: In week two, we talked about what we need to let go of, whether it is a person, job, relationship or whatever it may be relationship or whatever it may be.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Then, last week, I gave you some guidelines on how to map your next move to get off the bench and right back into your game of life.
- 1:32Speaker 1: These steps are so important for you to clear your head and make a sound game plan.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And now, today, I want to talk to you about it's time to make a move.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You see, this final step is the most critical and hardest to implement.
- 1:50Speaker 1: You must make a move.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Why, you ask.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Well, this is the step that requires action and it makes the transition real.
- 1:59Speaker 1: You can dream about it, you can plan about it, but until you take that step it's not real.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Here's the thing you may have already made the big decision and now you're stuck in the limbo state of not knowing what's next.
- 2:13Speaker 1: All the other steps before are building up to the plan to move through this, and now the only obstacle left in your way is fear.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Fear is a real thing.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Fear automatically kicks in and says I can't do this, I can't walk through this.
- 2:33Speaker 1: What if none of this works?
- 2:36Speaker 1: I know what it is like to be scared to death and unable to make the move.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It was the hardest thing I've ever done.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I remember that day that I walked into a counseling session and told my then husband I filed for divorce.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I was shaking on the inside so much I couldn't believe those words actually came out of my mouth.
- 3:00Speaker 1: The details are for another time, but just trust me when I say it was a long process.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I listened to me finally, because I had not listened to myself ever before.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I had mapped it out Now.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It didn't go as smoothly as what I wanted it to, but I did let go of what I could no longer control.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I had been in a state of limbo for so long trying to make a game plan and I mean, I was terrified.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But I decided to take that step and make my move.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And all the while, fear was whispering in my ears and nipping at my heels every single day.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Every single day, I thought I would never make it through.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I've learned since then to let fear be the losing opponent.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I'm living proof that you can make the move even when you are hesitant about the next step you mapped out.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You just have to take a step mapped out.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You just have to take a step.
- 4:05Speaker 1: One step, heck, even a half of a step is forward.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do not let fear keep you from moving forward.
- 4:16Speaker 1: You will make it through.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It will not be easy and that first step is the hardest, but the movement in the right direction will bring such a sense of relief.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The right direction will bring such a sense of relief.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You are simply moving and not staying stagnant.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Every single day I took felt like I would pass out from fear.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I know, friend, I know and I get it.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if you're in shock, if you're in limbo and you're still trying to wade your way through the mess or you're beginning to start the re-entry process.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Every single one of those steps will be laced with new fear.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But if you are in any of these stages, I would love to have a chat, because before very long you will be making that next step of your journey.
- 5:05Speaker 1: The best part is, you won't be alone.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You know, and I know, someone who's in transition.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I would love it if you would share this episode with them.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Just today, a client was referred who is just beginning her journey of divorce.
- 5:21Speaker 1: You need a voice that has walked this path before and knows what's next.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Take the step, do it afraid.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Don't back down from the plan that you've mapped out to get to the rest of your life and get off of that bench.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You can do it.
- 5:39Speaker 1: If I can do it, I know you can do it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: That's it for this time.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I would love to hear from you If you've implemented any of these steps from the Sound of you series, and what has worked and what hasn't worked.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Would you be so kind as to reach out and let me know if you've done any of those so I can tweak a surprise that I've been working on now for a minute?
- 6:01Speaker 1: I would love to know and have your input, but until next time, take the step.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'll see you next week.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for listening.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't take it for granted that you're here.
