- 0:10Speaker 1: seven every weekday on Radio Hdarky.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Thanks mate, Ice to the front, pug Son.
- 0:19Speaker 3: I mean that was there. That wasn't even just a
- 0:22Speaker 3: small little glimpse. That was all our X ray poove.
- 0:27Speaker 1: The good thing about these glasses is even when I'm
- 0:29Speaker 1: looking forward at the screen at what I'm pressing on
- 0:32Speaker 1: the button for you, they reflect so I can look
- 0:34Speaker 1: out the window at the same time.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Technology.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think we don't know that push.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Okay, right, that's for the listener.
- 0:43Speaker 2: The Yeah, how are we fellows?
- 0:46Speaker 1: So good man, We're how about you, Jess, you're in
- 0:50Speaker 1: a funny mood?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Ey, I was fine, and now I'm in a bit
- 0:56Speaker 3: of a horror of the mood.
- 0:58Speaker 4: I can I run a horror of a mood? One
- 1:00Speaker 4: voy you. I don't know if it's radio fes or
- 1:03Speaker 4: do it here. So we moved out of the house
- 1:07Speaker 4: so he'd go and clean it. Yeah, I've got my
- 1:10Speaker 4: daughter is on keeping one eye on here because she's
- 1:12Speaker 4: spinning around on a high cheer and I've got concerns,
- 1:16Speaker 4: and so I had to. So they were cleaned the
- 1:19Speaker 4: house like when you exit, when you exit the house, yes,
- 1:23Speaker 4: who cleans the house.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Were generally the people living in it.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, but pugs, when you leave, do
- 1:30Speaker 4: you clean the house or do you get cleaners and
- 1:32Speaker 4: to clean the house? No? I clean it. Yeah, Jason's
- 1:35Speaker 4: been a while for you, so I won't ask you
- 1:36Speaker 4: that question. But well, back in the day, was that
- 1:39Speaker 4: I cleaned it? Yeah?
- 1:40Speaker 2: I didn't have the money to high clow neither.
- 1:42Speaker 4: So he said he he sent me photos and he said,
- 1:48Speaker 4: here we go. Yeah, yeah, look it was it was fine.
- 1:51Speaker 4: It's like these drawers haven't been cleaned out. There was
- 1:57Speaker 4: a bit in the kitchen on the extractor fan that
- 2:01Speaker 4: was missed, and what was the other thing? A bit
- 2:05Speaker 4: of better on the bath he reckoned, which was you know,
- 2:08Speaker 4: I had to get him anyway, and so, and some
- 2:10Speaker 4: stuff on the windows, which was the result of the
- 2:14Speaker 4: the painters that came around. So I said, look, I'm
- 2:18Speaker 4: not going to do that. I'll do the inside and
- 2:20Speaker 4: make sure you're all happy there. And the insides are
- 2:22Speaker 4: actually dirty because they'd run a lead outside which had
- 2:27Speaker 4: left the window open. Then they water blasted, so that
- 2:29Speaker 4: came inside the house. But anyway, just keep keep the
- 2:32Speaker 4: man happy. But as soon as as soon as I
- 2:36Speaker 4: got there, him and his wife said, oh, what's what's
- 2:39Speaker 4: going on here? There's dent in the lounge in front
- 2:42Speaker 4: of the TV on the floor because it's a wooden
- 2:48Speaker 4: little dent there. And I said, it's from the from
- 2:51Speaker 4: the couch. And his missus goes, nah, no, no, that's
- 2:55Speaker 4: not that's not from the couch. And these I should
- 2:59Speaker 4: point out not that Well, it doesn't matter. They're from
- 3:02Speaker 4: their first language, is there from another country? Okay? Right?
- 3:05Speaker 4: So she's just like, nah, this is from doing weight
- 3:09Speaker 4: you've been doing weights here? What? And I said, no, no,
- 3:13Speaker 4: it's from the couch because you can see it's an
- 3:15Speaker 4: L shape. But she's like, but there's some over here,
- 3:17Speaker 4: there's some over here, the some over here. I was like, yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 4: it's because it's an L shaped couch. So the leagus
- 3:21Speaker 4: for this part we're here, the leagues were here, and
- 3:23Speaker 4: the leagues were here, no, because they're just moving or
- 3:26Speaker 4: what the chairs the legs on your couch move all
- 3:30Speaker 4: the time. I said, well, I mean that that is
- 3:33Speaker 4: what it is no, No, it's not there. It's from weight.
- 3:37Speaker 4: So I was like, well, i'll send you a photo
- 3:38Speaker 4: of the leagus. There's no you know, I'll send your
- 3:40Speaker 4: photo of the leagues and then you know, we'll go
- 3:44Speaker 4: we can work it out from there. And then he goes, well,
- 3:47Speaker 4: well it can't be. I said, look, man, I've got
- 3:49Speaker 4: like an hour I'm not going to spend arguing with you. Yeah. Now,
- 3:54Speaker 4: remember that I also had an argument, not with Mama buddy.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I'd had an argument with him before about the pool. Yes,
- 4:03Speaker 4: hate it, because what's amazing about these two individuals is
- 4:07Speaker 4: they've got no qualms whatsoever calling you a liar to
- 4:10Speaker 4: your face. They've just got no issue with it at all.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So I'm telling them it's the couch. They're telling me
- 4:15Speaker 4: it's not so okay. Sorry. So what I was doing
- 4:20Speaker 4: was I moved the couch and I was doing weights
- 4:22Speaker 4: in front of the TV. Is that what I was doing?
- 4:25Speaker 4: And so he did a similar thing with the pool
- 4:29Speaker 4: where it was he was saying that the pool was
- 4:32Speaker 4: broken because I hadn't cleaned it. But I said I
- 4:35Speaker 4: hadn't cleaned it because the pool was broken. Remember it
- 4:37Speaker 4: leaked out about four foot of water. Yes, And then
- 4:40Speaker 4: we had pool people come over to investigate, and they said, oh,
- 4:42Speaker 4: this has not been this is thirty years old, this pool,
- 4:45Speaker 4: and it's never been cleaned or sort of or had
- 4:47Speaker 4: any maintenance done on it whatsoever. So it turned out
- 4:50Speaker 4: he was wrong on that one, but they didn't stop
- 4:52Speaker 4: him this time. So anyway, then I'm in the Then
- 4:54Speaker 4: I'm in the bathroom, cleaning the bathroom. And now when
- 4:59Speaker 4: I say that, the too were talking shit about me
- 5:02Speaker 4: and their native tongue. Man, they were just they didn't stop.
- 5:06Speaker 4: They didn't stop talking ship right in front of me
- 5:09Speaker 4: as well. But there's nothing I can do about it.
- 5:13Speaker 4: And after about five or ten minutes, he calls me
- 5:15Speaker 4: and it's like Mike, Mike, come and look. It's like
- 5:19Speaker 4: it's like, no, these are the marks here for your couch.
- 5:23Speaker 4: These are the marks here. Wait what? And I'm just like, bro,
- 5:27Speaker 4: I'm just not getting I'm not getting into it with you.
- 5:31Speaker 4: But his message was really chipping him right. She was
- 5:36Speaker 4: getting in his air. And he's like, yeah, right, right,
- 5:39Speaker 4: whatever the equivalent was. And so then I keep on
- 5:43Speaker 4: doing that. And then then because I'm cleaning the bathroom,
- 5:47Speaker 4: now he's there, I asked her. He's there. They're painting
- 5:50Speaker 4: the house. They're painting the interior of the house. While
- 5:52Speaker 4: I'm there, I turned up in their painting, which would
- 5:54Speaker 4: ask them to do when they wouldn't do. So they're
- 5:57Speaker 4: going to rent it out again. And then I'm cleaning
- 6:00Speaker 4: in the bathroom and he's like, oh have you Are
- 6:04Speaker 4: you cleaning it? And I said yeah. He's like, you
- 6:08Speaker 4: you haven't paid professionals to come in. I said no.
- 6:13Speaker 4: He's like, oh, I said, oh, are you painting this house?
- 6:19Speaker 4: And he said yeah, And I said, you're not getting
- 6:22Speaker 4: professionals and to do it. And he's the whole Archy
- 6:29Speaker 4: Big Show week days from four on Radio Hierarchy They
- 6:34Speaker 4: Big Show Podcast. Anyway, it was a bit of a marathon.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I then had to clean, so I cleaned the extractor
- 6:41Speaker 4: fan beautiful, clean the door on the oven beautiful. And
- 6:46Speaker 4: I said, I'll go back and I'll do do the windows.
- 6:48Speaker 4: But he is filthy.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Now am I right?
- 6:51Speaker 1: And remembering the last time you had the disagreement about
- 6:53Speaker 1: the poll that got so heated that you had to
- 6:55Speaker 1: ask him to leave.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Yeah, because he wouldn't get out of the house. Yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 4: he was trying to go to work and he walked
- 7:01Speaker 4: back into the house. Yes, good, wouldn't bag her off.
- 7:04Speaker 4: So but I absolutely take his point about the dents
- 7:07Speaker 4: in the floor, right, because it's the feet were too
- 7:11Speaker 4: narrow on it. But because we've got the couch there,
- 7:13Speaker 4: we don't know an old mate over he is jumping
- 7:16Speaker 4: up and down on the couch when she's watching TV.
- 7:18Speaker 4: One hundred percent got no problem with sorting that out.
- 7:20Speaker 4: And when we moved the couch once to I think
- 7:24Speaker 4: vacuum under it or whatever we did, We're like, oh shit,
- 7:26Speaker 4: we better get some rubber feet.
- 7:28Speaker 2: For this, right, yeah, Okay, what I mean? Are we
- 7:31Speaker 2: talking dense or scratches dent? What do you do with
- 7:34Speaker 2: the dent in the floor?
- 7:36Speaker 4: You can stand them out?
- 7:37Speaker 1: But also if you if you if it was weights,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you'd be doing so many weights that there would be
- 7:42Speaker 1: so many more dents.
- 7:43Speaker 4: And they'd be considerably bigger and sharp, sharp edges. I mean,
- 7:46Speaker 4: there's a million reasons why it's not dense. It's not
- 7:50Speaker 4: from weights, not least of all what I told you
- 7:53Speaker 4: what it was. It's a fucking couch. Can I excuse
- 7:56Speaker 4: my language? Can I?
- 7:59Speaker 1: So?
- 8:00Speaker 2: Having said all that are there are their bond issues.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Is this, what's is this?
- 8:06Speaker 3: What's happening here is we're not going to give you
- 8:08Speaker 3: your bond back because I can tell you many many
- 8:11Speaker 3: horror stories, not just my own, people that never get
- 8:15Speaker 3: their bond for ridiculous reasons.
- 8:17Speaker 4: But just be on the show struggle the only thing.
- 8:21Speaker 4: But that's a great idea for for I've got no
- 8:25Speaker 4: problem pain because we should have protected the floor, right,
- 8:29Speaker 4: I've got no problem with that at all. So yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 4: stand it out and give it a honest sweets. I've
- 8:33Speaker 4: got nowhere with that at all. But what I don't
- 8:37Speaker 4: like has been accused of being a liar. Yes, But
- 8:41Speaker 4: also what I did was and I thought of it
- 8:43Speaker 4: marginally too late. While they're talking about me. I started
- 8:47Speaker 4: recording them, right. So I'd like to get somebody whose
- 8:52Speaker 4: native tongue is the same and see if we can
- 8:54Speaker 4: get it translated.
- 8:55Speaker 1: That's actually a great shot.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Because it would be God, it will be good.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Either you've got to find out what the language.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I know what the language is, Okay, one.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Of those things you know that my partner and I
- 9:06Speaker 3: at the time when we were moving out of a
- 9:07Speaker 3: particular place take photos. And also, if you are the
- 9:13Speaker 3: landlord in that situation take face, because we ended up
- 9:16Speaker 3: in court over our bond, which we comprehensively won, yes,
- 9:22Speaker 3: and to the point where the judge was like, this
- 9:24Speaker 3: was a complete waste of my because of because we
- 9:27Speaker 3: went through a conciliatory sort of where they have a
- 9:30Speaker 3: what do you.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Call them, yeah, a media mediator.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Think we went through that and it was the mediator
- 9:38Speaker 3: we could tell my partner and I was just going,
- 9:41Speaker 3: who is this woman? This is ridiculous. And at the
- 9:46Speaker 3: time of the mediation we went, we went, we'll give
- 9:49Speaker 3: you fifty bucks. But because we were not wrong about anything,
- 9:55Speaker 3: we were totally in the right of it, and we went,
- 9:57Speaker 3: we can't be, but we'll give you take fifty bucks.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's yeah.
- 10:01Speaker 2: But she went, no, No, I want the full him out.
- 10:03Speaker 3: And as it turns out, interestingly, it was because she
- 10:06Speaker 3: was doing a big reno after we moved out and
- 10:08Speaker 3: she was wanting to pay for that by by not
- 10:11Speaker 3: giving our bond back.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Yeah. And the wife had actually had a similar issue
- 10:16Speaker 4: when she was on a job in Wellington last year
- 10:19Speaker 4: and she had actually she stayed there for two weeks
- 10:23Speaker 4: and that was it, and then the rest of the
- 10:24Speaker 4: times she was somewhere else on location, and then when
- 10:26Speaker 4: she moved out, the landlord tried to get her for
- 10:28Speaker 4: the same thing. These dents and the and the floorboards
- 10:31Speaker 4: which are from couch leagues, yes, but they were from
- 10:35Speaker 4: a previous tenant obviously because they didn't match up with
- 10:38Speaker 4: these ones. But the landlord just refuted, wouldn't let anybody
- 10:41Speaker 4: come and inspect. It wouldn't any and it was just
- 10:44Speaker 4: like they just paid out. But anyway, it was good,
- 10:48Speaker 4: good times, good times, and he was pretty good. Actually.
- 10:51Speaker 4: He goes, where have you moved to? And I said,
- 10:53Speaker 4: I just up the road. He goes, oh, have you
- 10:55Speaker 4: have your border house? And I was like, nah, man,
- 10:56Speaker 4: then too expensive. He goes, n the cheap cheap. I
- 11:01Speaker 4: was like, oh, yeah, they're real cheap.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Well not in that area they're now.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Well, but also yeah, well certainly, but in Auckland at all.
- 11:08Speaker 4: So I sort of think. The other day in the
- 11:09Speaker 4: paper was a house for one point five This couple
- 11:12Speaker 4: had a combined income of three hundred and fifty grand
- 11:15Speaker 4: or something like that, three thirty. They had twenty percent deposit,
- 11:18Speaker 4: so they had one point two million as a mortgage.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Their repayments were two and a half grand.
- 11:24Speaker 1: A weekly, joking two and.
- 11:26Speaker 4: A half grand a week. That gives me faith in
- 11:29Speaker 4: me again. It's the interest bro. Three. You'll be right.
- 11:34Speaker 3: A friend of a friend of ours, because my wife
- 11:36Speaker 3: and I are thinking of selling our house, right, and
- 11:39Speaker 3: you know, you get your GV and you go, okay,
- 11:42Speaker 3: what most houses at the moment, particularly in our area,
- 11:45Speaker 3: aren't selling at.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Their GV right.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Often normally you in a normal you could check on
- 11:50Speaker 3: a bit more, but at the moment it's it's paying
- 11:52Speaker 3: out under GV right, And so we were thinking, oh,
- 11:55Speaker 3: so we're probably end up realistically with X amount. And anyway,
- 12:00Speaker 3: a friend of ours is selling their house and I said, oh,
- 12:06Speaker 3: can I have a look at it?
- 12:07Speaker 2: And it was like for seven hundred and ninety five thousand,
- 12:10Speaker 2: and it's beautiful. It is a stunning house. And I
- 12:15Speaker 2: was like, that's what we were looking at, kind of
- 12:18Speaker 2: bringing it down.
- 12:18Speaker 4: To and I was like Jesus, yeah, right, but have
- 12:22Speaker 4: you got a bigger bit of land? Yeah? Probably, yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I had a fair amount of land on it too,
- 12:27Speaker 3: but it was just this immaculate version, right, And I
- 12:30Speaker 3: just went, oh my god, I'm surprised that is that?
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, nice house, man, really nice house.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I won't buy that. I won't bother looking at yours.
- 12:40Speaker 3: No, you wouldn't handle mine. Mate, You need to be
- 12:45Speaker 3: a backbone to live in my house. You got a
- 12:48Speaker 3: heat pump makeshep.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Just an update on that. By the way, got our
- 12:53Speaker 2: first bell, oh yeah, under our normal bell.
- 12:56Speaker 4: But I want to hear about your next one. How
- 12:58Speaker 4: long have you had that in?
- 12:59Speaker 3: This was this was an actual estimate, and it was
- 13:02Speaker 3: the month that we had it installed right right, so
- 13:05Speaker 3: that probably the next one. But no, but mm hmm,
- 13:09Speaker 3: it started when we had it installed right that month.
- 13:13Speaker 3: So yeah, it was an estimate. No, it wasn't read.
- 13:17Speaker 3: It was an actual reading. That next one will be
- 13:21Speaker 3: like eight hundred.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I'd say, so, yeah, I can start cranking it up.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, jeez.
- 13:27Speaker 1: He follow us on Instagram hed Aki Big Show and
