- 0:28Speaker 2: Juicy Scoop.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. We are going to
- 0:33Speaker 1: get into it because I have a big podcaster himself.
- 0:38Speaker 1: He is a husband, a loving father, a former bachelor,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and host of the Vial Files, Nick Vial.
- 0:49Speaker 2: You overemphasized again.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Am I saying it wrong or right?
- 0:51Speaker 2: No, you said it right.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Vial, Vial.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I don't emphasize it.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Vial Files.
- 0:55Speaker 2: No, it's fine. Vial Files.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We've known each other for a really long time.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I was thinking about that so long.
- 1:01Speaker 1: And when we go to those little parties, we do
- 1:03Speaker 1: seek each other out. And it is fun to like
- 1:06Speaker 1: have a couple snarky bullshit moments.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It is fun. I will say to your audience, Heather
- 1:11Speaker 2: is like, I'm actually a bit of an introvert when
- 1:14Speaker 2: I go to these parties. Natalie is definitely like my,
- 1:17Speaker 2: like helps me out. And Heather makes it, every time
- 1:19Speaker 2: I see Heather, it's like, oh my God, thank God
- 1:21Speaker 2: Heather's here. Because Heather always comes up to us. She's
- 1:23Speaker 2: always incredibly approachable. She's full of smiles. It really like,
- 1:28Speaker 2: it's really always great to see you. We don't see
- 1:29Speaker 2: each other all that much, but it's always like at some.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Like Us Weekly or like.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Like reality TV party.
- 1:35Speaker 1: At the Kathy Hilton Christmas party.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Oh, I got the Kathy Hilton Christmas party. Heather's always like,
- 1:40Speaker 2: she's always very welcoming and great.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yes. Which by the way, that party brought a lot
- 1:45Speaker 1: of controversy because that was when.
- 1:47Speaker 2: That was the James.
- 1:49Speaker 1: That was the DJ James Kennedy. And I just saw
- 1:52Speaker 1: he's back. He's got a show in like a week.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I hate that.
- 1:56Speaker 1: In Vegas. You hate that for him? Yeah.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I mean, I think he's terrible.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Well, she did break up with him.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I mean, listen, I think it was one of those things. Like,
- 2:08Speaker 2: I talked to him that night. I got to know James,
- 2:11Speaker 2: you know, prior to that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: And just to remind you people, after the party, he
- 2:16Speaker 1: was arrested for domestic violence. However, they have dropped the charges.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And he and his girlfriend have since broken up.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:24Speaker 2: The alleged incident was that he picked her up and
- 2:27Speaker 2: threw her across the room.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And she's a very thin, little, cute thing.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And then when she like put out her statement, it
- 2:35Speaker 2: was very carefully worded like I was never hurt. You know,
- 2:40Speaker 2: it wasn't like that didn't happen or like it wasn't
- 2:43Speaker 2: like I wasn't thrown up or thrown or picked up.
- 2:46Speaker 2: But I also like for, you know, for me, it
- 2:49Speaker 2: was more. I had gotten to know James since I
- 2:53Speaker 2: started watching Vanderpump. Like most, you know, like a lot
- 2:56Speaker 2: of people, I started with Scandival and got to know
- 2:59Speaker 2: some of the cast. And I work with Katie Maloney
- 3:02Speaker 2: and things like that. And James seemed like a nice guy.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And we got to know Allie. And, you know, there
- 3:06Speaker 2: was always like these hints of, you know, rumors about
- 3:11Speaker 2: like James's behavior in the past and Not being like
- 3:14Speaker 2: a Vanderpump historian at the time or having watched old episodes.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I didn't know much about it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Like with the Kristen Doughty.
- 3:20Speaker 2: With the Kristen Doughty stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Who he dated prior to Ali. And there was stuff
- 3:28Speaker 1: with Rachel Raquel. But every time I would see him
- 3:32Speaker 1: at parties and stuff, he was a total delight. And
- 3:36Speaker 1: he was total delight. And I'd seen him. just previously
- 3:39Speaker 1: with her at the, um, the ball, the Vanderpump dog ball,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and then saw him there. And, you know, he was
- 3:48Speaker 1: a little, what I didn't realize at the time, um,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I was with my sister. She was my plus one.
- 3:54Speaker 1: And he told us about all the stuff they had
- 3:55Speaker 1: going on. And this is just, they just found out
- 3:57Speaker 1: that this cast, he's not coming back and he's not
- 4:01Speaker 1: part of the Valley and he's not coming back to
- 4:02Speaker 1: the Vanderpump. So I was like, How are you feeling?
- 4:06Speaker 1: You should be so grateful you're one of the few
- 4:08Speaker 1: people that has a full-blown other career set.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, like really made it. Yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And he was like, oh, my God, I've got all
- 4:14Speaker 1: these shows in the works. And I go, da-da-da-da-da. And
- 4:16Speaker 1: he was, you know, listing all the stuff he had
- 4:18Speaker 1: going on, which I was like, great. My sister thought
- 4:22Speaker 1: it was a little braggadocious. I did not. I'm like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you got fired from a job you had for 10 years.
- 4:28Speaker 1: You want to build your– it's pretty big of a deal.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You know, like I get how this can be pretty devastating.
- 4:34Speaker 2: That night that he got arrested, I was talking– me
- 4:38Speaker 2: and Natalie and Ali and James were talking and I
- 4:40Speaker 2: was saying to him, I'm like, man, like, you know,
- 4:43Speaker 2: compared to all your cast, you should be really proud
- 4:47Speaker 2: of what you've been able to do. Like, holy cow. Like,
- 4:49Speaker 2: that's really– That's what I was saying. Really something, man.
- 4:52Speaker 2: He performed at Coachella. Like, he really– He really had
- 4:55Speaker 2: separated himself and built and established a legitimate career outside
- 5:00Speaker 2: of just being a cast member on reality TV.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I love the music. And he was like, you know,
- 5:05Speaker 1: he's been looking good, buffed out and grown up. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: did I think he was drinking that night? Yeah, I
- 5:11Speaker 1: thought he was having a race. I wasn't looking at
- 5:13Speaker 1: his drink or anything. I didn't know where people are
- 5:15Speaker 1: with California sobriety or what works and what doesn't. But
- 5:19Speaker 1: then later on, when this all happened, my sister said,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know... About an hour after we had a conversation
- 5:27Speaker 1: with him, he came back up to us, but someone
- 5:30Speaker 1: started talking to me. And then he went and told
- 5:33Speaker 1: her all the same stuff he had told me and
- 5:36Speaker 1: told us just together an hour prior.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So he's blacked out.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So she was like, you know, my sister's a DUI
- 5:44Speaker 1: defense attorney. So she was like. Yeah, he was in
- 5:47Speaker 1: her opinion, which is not a big deal. We're at
- 5:50Speaker 1: a Christmas party. It's not a big deal to have drinks.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Everyone's doing Ubers. It's not a big deal. But then
- 5:55Speaker 1: to hear that that incident happened, you're like, and whatever
- 6:00Speaker 1: Allie decided, I think sometimes I think people, if they're
- 6:05Speaker 1: able to feel like they can freely get away from
- 6:08Speaker 1: this person, it is their decision to go you know what?
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't want to go through this. I don't want
- 6:15Speaker 1: to go through any kind of trial. I don't want
- 6:17Speaker 1: to be known as the girl that was, you know,
- 6:21Speaker 1: abused or whatever. So I respect whatever, whatever she said
- 6:25Speaker 1: and the police and, you know, prosecutors and everybody, they have,
- 6:29Speaker 1: they have all the evidence. We don't to accept that
- 6:32Speaker 1: this is what it is, but he is back and
- 6:35Speaker 1: he's doing another DJ show.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And I couldn't agree more about Allie. Like I don't,
- 6:40Speaker 2: I know what it's like to be in her position.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I empathize completely. It's never easy to come forward, especially
- 6:47Speaker 2: for public figures, because regardless of what you think about them,
- 6:50Speaker 2: he has a fan base. He has an audience. He
- 6:52Speaker 2: has millions of followers. It can be brutal coming forward.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'm just so over the whole, I don't give a shit.
- 7:01Speaker 2: if James Kennedy was drunk that night or not drinking
- 7:03Speaker 2: or drinking. Right. Like, I don't give a fuck, you know?
- 7:06Speaker 2: And I'm just so tired of this, like, narrative that, oh,
- 7:09Speaker 2: he has a drinking problem.
- 7:10Speaker 4: No.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Like, a lot of people have drinking problems and they don't, like,
- 7:13Speaker 2: they're not physically violent or abusive or they don't have
- 7:15Speaker 2: a reputation or a checkered past with all of their
- 7:18Speaker 2: exes that they've done, allegedly, a variety of things where they've,
- 7:23Speaker 2: you know, were physically aggressive. And, like, there's clearly a pattern.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And since his arrest, I had talked more with Kristen
- 7:29Speaker 2: Doty and, like, I don't know. I feel comfortable saying
- 7:32Speaker 2: he's an absolute piece of shit.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:34Speaker 2: And I think Lisa Vanderpump is an absolute, like, you know,
- 7:37Speaker 2: I think she'd be, she should be ashamed of herself
- 7:40Speaker 2: for covering James all these years. And I think the
- 7:42Speaker 2: way she has handled this and her statement talking, she
- 7:45Speaker 2: like came out with a statement afterwards. First, she said nothing.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And then she finally said something. And it was this, like,
- 7:50Speaker 2: I forgot exactly what her statement was, but it was like,
- 7:54Speaker 2: it was, I thought it was really icky. And just like,
- 7:58Speaker 2: I thought it was gross. I mean, she's clearly, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 2: I met, I met Lisa once when I, like when
- 8:04Speaker 2: I did her podcast, when she had a podcast long
- 8:06Speaker 2: ago and I was in, she was very gracious and
- 8:09Speaker 2: I went to her house and she gave me the
- 8:10Speaker 2: tour of the villa. And like, as I was leaving,
- 8:13Speaker 2: James came in, like they're very, they're very tight. Like
- 8:15Speaker 2: she's friends with his mom and I get it, whatever.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But like, She has covered for that guy for far
- 8:22Speaker 2: too long. And I think he's a huge piece of shit.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yes. And I can see. I totally agree. I mean,
- 8:28Speaker 1: it's part of an empire. It's also a mother son
- 8:31Speaker 1: kind of a, you know, connection. But I mean, he was. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 1: we could go through it all. But, you know, I
- 8:37Speaker 1: understand why also the producers are just like, let's make
- 8:40Speaker 1: everyone forget this, because at first when they obviously were
- 8:44Speaker 1: going to break up, I was like, is she going
- 8:46Speaker 1: to go get a job? selling goat cheese balls alley
- 8:50Speaker 1: and get on the new cast. And then I thought, no,
- 8:53Speaker 1: the producers don't want us to remember anything about this
- 8:58Speaker 1: because this is dark. This isn't fun. This isn't even
- 9:04Speaker 1: juicy like fucking your girlfriend's best friend, Scandival. This is, ugh,
- 9:10Speaker 1: there's nothing juicy about it. We don't want to see it.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And it's weird, it's ugly. Domestic abuse has reared its
- 9:17Speaker 1: head in a few storylines over the years throughout Housewives
- 9:21Speaker 1: and Bravo shows, and they know it's just not something
- 9:24Speaker 1: they want to discuss. But since we're talking about Vanderpump,
- 9:29Speaker 1: Jax Taylor did just come forth and said he is
- 9:33Speaker 1: 83 days sober from cocaine and alcohol and that he
- 9:37Speaker 1: has had a cocaine issue for 20 years of his life.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And he's gone on and off of it. And, you know,
- 9:46Speaker 1: viewers could tell and this and that. But he really would.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He couldn't do cocaine without drinking. So with getting rid
- 9:55Speaker 1: of the cocaine, he also wants to get rid of
- 9:56Speaker 1: the drinking. And he had told me earlier. ago, like,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm into smoking pot now and that chills me out
- 10:04Speaker 1: and I'm better and I'm not so crazy. I have
- 10:07Speaker 1: heard from many people in the last few years that
- 10:10Speaker 1: there were bags of cocaine found and this and stuff with,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you know, And when now they are parents, like the
- 10:19Speaker 1: whole thing of like, oh, my God, someone little kid
- 10:22Speaker 1: thinks is a sugar.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying that would really turn you off to
- 10:26Speaker 1: want to hang out with those people, whatever, if if
- 10:28Speaker 1: that was the case. So it's like, but good for him.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Sure.
- 10:32Speaker 1: That he's but he got real mad at me recently
- 10:36Speaker 1: because I had law on.
- 10:38Speaker 2: He's been mad at me since 2017. Oh, really?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Well, he's another one that I always talk to. He's
- 10:44Speaker 1: come on the show. His sister's a Juicy Scooper. I
- 10:49Speaker 1: want to give this guy a benefit of the doubt,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but I think we all know who he really is.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Very happy for Britney. But anyway, Lala came on the show,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and she told Juicy Scoopers what was really going on
- 11:01Speaker 1: with them, and that Britney does everything and all this stuff.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And that was the clip that was cut, and it
- 11:09Speaker 1: went up. And he immediately texted me just like the,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I can't believe you're doing this and you're a mother
- 11:19Speaker 1: and my child's going to have to see this and
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm there with my kid every day, da, da, da, da, da, da.
- 11:25Speaker 1: And I was like, again.
- 11:26Speaker 2: That's rich coming from him. Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But I was like, you know what? My initial thought
- 11:31Speaker 1: was this clip is going to be a problem for Brittany.
- 11:36Speaker 1: So I was like, done. I'm removing it. I'm removing
- 11:40Speaker 1: the clip. I don't want to cause problem with you
- 11:43Speaker 1: and Brittany. Brittany reaches out to me and she's like,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I mean, it was texted, but I just, in her voice,
- 11:49Speaker 1: but she's just like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. Lala,
- 11:52Speaker 1: tell me what happened. She is telling you the truth.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Ha ha. Jax is crazy. That is not true. He
- 11:58Speaker 1: has not done this. He has not called me. He
- 12:00Speaker 1: did not say it because he goes, Brittany and I
- 12:02Speaker 1: talked about this today and da da da. And she
- 12:05Speaker 1: was like, that is not true. And I was like, whatever. Again,
- 12:10Speaker 1: one clip, one thing is not going to break or
- 12:13Speaker 1: make my career. And if it's going to cause problems
- 12:16Speaker 1: or give me anxiety because I'm going to run into
- 12:18Speaker 1: him with the next thing, I took it down. I'm like,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I'm taking it down. That's it. I mean, I hope
- 12:24Speaker 1: that that they can co-parent. I hope he stays sober, whatever.
- 12:29Speaker 1: But I am very happy she's single.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I'm glad she's away from him and happy. You know,
- 12:34Speaker 2: Jack's better than I do. I've, you know, When I
- 12:37Speaker 2: was The Bachelor a long time ago. Yes.
- 12:40Speaker 1: What year were you The Bachelor?
- 12:42Speaker 2: I was filmed at the end of 2016. It was
- 12:44Speaker 2: airing in the beginning of 2017. Okay. So I met
- 12:47Speaker 2: him when it was airing.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I was at that point engaged and no one knew
- 12:51Speaker 2: about it, right? So I had to be very careful
- 12:53Speaker 2: about who I'm standing next to.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I got invited to some bar opening in San Diego
- 12:57Speaker 2: with a friend. And Jax and Brittany were there. And
- 13:01Speaker 2: they came up to me very graciously saying, Brittany, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: and Jax was actually very nice.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:06Speaker 2: And I knew who he was like at that. I
- 13:08Speaker 2: didn't know much about Vanderpump. I knew who he was.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I knew about his reputation.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:13Speaker 2: He was very, you know, kind of known as the
- 13:15Speaker 2: toxic guy. Right.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:16Speaker 2: So I took a picture with Brittany and then Jax
- 13:19Speaker 2: was like, hey, can I get one? I was like.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I'd rather not, man. And because at that time I'm
- 13:25Speaker 2: thinking I don't need a picture with Jax Taylor as
- 13:28Speaker 2: like as like the bachelor at the club with, you know,
- 13:32Speaker 2: with Jax Taylor. I'm like, I need to like I'm
- 13:35Speaker 2: I'm an engaged man at the time, you know, but
- 13:37Speaker 2: no one knows that. Again, the season's filming. And I
- 13:40Speaker 2: was like, oh, wow. And he was not.
- 13:42Speaker 1: The season was done filming, but it was airing.
- 13:44Speaker 2: It was airing. So no one knew about my relationship status.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Obviously it was being speculated. And I was, I was,
- 13:50Speaker 2: you know, at that time it was like, it would
- 13:52Speaker 2: have been like me taking a picture of Tom Sandoval
- 13:54Speaker 2: during Scandival.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:56Speaker 2: That's how it felt. And I was just like, yeah, no, I'm,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 13:59Speaker 1: You know, I did take a picture with Tom Sandoval
- 14:01Speaker 1: during Scandival.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I would, I did. Cause I knew him and.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Then somebody said, It was at the Jax opening and
- 14:10Speaker 1: I was talking to him and I was just kind
- 14:15Speaker 1: of like, what are you going to do about this lawsuit,
- 14:17Speaker 1: her suing you for this? And we were sort of
- 14:20Speaker 1: talking about that because the lawsuit stuff always intrigues me, right?
- 14:23Speaker 1: And she was suing him for, you know, spreading the.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The photos of him.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Raquel? The thing that's going on? Raquel, yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I think it's still going on. And I was like, what?
- 14:34Speaker 1: So we talked a little bit about that, which was
- 14:36Speaker 1: kind of, you know, juicy and what his thoughts were.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And then someone came up and they're like, can we
- 14:40Speaker 1: get a photo? And I did. And I'm like, you know, hey, again,
- 14:46Speaker 1: he's not Harvey Weinstein. And I've taken photos with him before.
- 14:51Speaker 1: But of course, there were some little things.
- 14:54Speaker 2: But in your case, It had more to do with, like,
- 14:56Speaker 2: my relationship status.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Right, and the TV show. Like, I think maybe if
- 15:00Speaker 1: you would have just said, actually, now that I thought
- 15:03Speaker 1: about it, I probably shouldn't be taking photos with anyone,
- 15:06Speaker 1: maybe that would have been the better thing to say.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But what did you say?
- 15:09Speaker 2: I think it was more like, I just, like, want
- 15:12Speaker 2: to be careful about, like, being out at the club
- 15:15Speaker 2: or something. I tried to be very nice, but he
- 15:17Speaker 2: was not happy.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He took offense.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 15:19Speaker 2: He went on, like, a bunch of podcasts. I don't know.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Did some interviews, talked some shit. And then... During Scandival,
- 15:26Speaker 2: I was like, oh, maybe I'll have like, see what
- 15:28Speaker 2: Jax is saying. And I went to like DM him
- 15:31Speaker 2: to see if he wanted to come on and realize
- 15:32Speaker 2: I'm blocked. Oh. That was great since I was like
- 15:36Speaker 2: the first time I'd ever like even went to his
- 15:38Speaker 2: page in seven years.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Right. Well, you know, I appreciate the art of blocking. Sure.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Because I have definitely blocked a lot of people. And
- 15:47Speaker 1: sometimes I think, oh, I'm kind of over it now
- 15:50Speaker 1: and my life is pretty great. Should I let these
- 15:52Speaker 1: fuckers see it? And then I look at how many
- 15:55Speaker 1: people have blocked and I'm like, oh, I don't even
- 15:57Speaker 1: know where to begin. And I don't want to unblock
- 15:59Speaker 1: and have it.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Sure.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And then have like the 90% of the weird like
- 16:03Speaker 1: bot trolls start up again. So I'm like, whatever. If
- 16:06Speaker 1: someone really wants to like reconnect, then they should whatever,
- 16:11Speaker 1: try to text or email me. But who cares? They
- 16:13Speaker 1: probably don't care. They're probably over me too.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I have some empathy for Tom Sandoval.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you do. Let's hear it.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I think– I think Jax Taylor has no moral compass. Like,
- 16:25Speaker 2: I don't think he... I don't even know if he
- 16:27Speaker 2: knows the difference between right or wrong. Like, I'm not a...
- 16:30Speaker 2: I can't diagnose him or anything. But, like, I don't
- 16:32Speaker 2: think he even cares, really. I think he just cares
- 16:35Speaker 2: about Jax. I think Tom is incredibly self-centered and selfish. And,
- 16:40Speaker 2: you know, I'm sure, like, many of us have narcissistic
- 16:42Speaker 2: personalities and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But, like, Tom
- 16:44Speaker 2: has a moral compass. It's different than maybe anyone on
- 16:48Speaker 2: this earth. But, like, he does... Things that he believes
- 16:53Speaker 2: are like right and wrong, you know, like I think
- 16:57Speaker 2: a lot of people disagree with what his moral compass is.
- 17:00Speaker 2: But I think he really wants to be a good guy.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I think that's his desire to not be a piece
- 17:06Speaker 2: of shit is is somewhere inside Tom Sandoval. And I
- 17:09Speaker 2: think Jax Taylor, it's not it doesn't register. And I've
- 17:13Speaker 2: just gotten to know him. I was on special forces
- 17:15Speaker 2: with him.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Oh, Tom Sandoval.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I essentially lived with him for a
- 17:19Speaker 2: week in a very intense environment. So he's a unique guy.
- 17:23Speaker 2: But he's not evil. He's not bad. And he's not
- 17:29Speaker 2: the brightest. And I think my biggest takeaway spending a
- 17:33Speaker 2: week with Tom after Sandoval I just was a little
- 17:38Speaker 2: confused because I'm like, I spent a week with this
- 17:41Speaker 2: guy and I'm like, him and Ariana dated for a decade.
- 17:46Speaker 2: And she's really smart. And Tom is Tom. And it's
- 17:50Speaker 2: just like, I just don't know how after a decade,
- 17:54Speaker 2: there was a disconnect. I don't know.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I think what it is, is they were not married,
- 17:59Speaker 1: but they might as well be.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Sure, maybe.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Maybe even more so. An average married couple with no kids...
- 18:07Speaker 1: One works at the accounting firm, one works here. Yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: we have to sell the house. They had it bigger
- 18:13Speaker 1: in his defense and her defense. They were on the
- 18:16Speaker 1: show together. They had this whole thing going. She wasn't
- 18:22Speaker 1: at the level that she is today because she was
- 18:25Speaker 1: kind of in this limbo of, I've got this job
- 18:29Speaker 1: where I'm on the show and I'm his girlfriend, but
- 18:32Speaker 1: we're not in a great place. And, you know, so, yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 1: it went on too long. But they also own the
- 18:38Speaker 1: house together. All of it, just like anybody else, where
- 18:41Speaker 1: it's like, everyone's like, why didn't you leave? Why didn't
- 18:44Speaker 1: you get out? Well, it's fucking hard. It's hard to
- 18:48Speaker 1: move a couch, let alone, like, sell your house and
- 18:50Speaker 1: end it all. And every time things are bad, you're like,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I don't know. And then a couple weeks later, maybe
- 18:57Speaker 1: you're like, okay, well, now that was kind of fun.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I don't know what's true, but.
- 19:03Speaker 2: A couple different occasions when talking about it, like between
- 19:07Speaker 2: him and I, Scandival, like on Special Forces, I was
- 19:10Speaker 2: kind of interrogating him. We were in a Jeep together
- 19:12Speaker 2: for like an hour and I kind of like did
- 19:13Speaker 2: a podcast interview with him in the back of a Jeep. No,
- 19:16Speaker 2: I mean, it didn't air or anything like that. And
- 19:19Speaker 2: then prior to getting him on my show when he
- 19:21Speaker 2: showed up late and drunk and.
- 19:23Speaker 1: That was after Special Forces?
- 19:25Speaker 2: That was after Special Forces and he just, he did
- 19:27Speaker 2: his thing. He is adamant. I don't know what's true,
- 19:34Speaker 2: but I believe that he believes it, that narrative that
- 19:40Speaker 2: Ariana was not upset about the cheating and she knew.
- 19:44Speaker 2: She knew about something between him and Rachel. I don't
- 19:47Speaker 2: know what to believe, but I believe– I believe that
- 19:51Speaker 2: Tom believes it. This is what I believe.
- 19:55Speaker 1: There was a reason why she decided to look at
- 19:57Speaker 1: his phone when it was handed to her. And so
- 20:01Speaker 1: I think that she kind of was like, I don't
- 20:05Speaker 1: really care that he's out late and he's doing his
- 20:08Speaker 1: band and whatever. Because she didn't want to fuck him.
- 20:11Speaker 1: So she was kind of like, even if she did occasionally,
- 20:13Speaker 1: I think she was just kind of like, whatever. I
- 20:16Speaker 1: don't think she knew about Rachel Raquel. And I'm going
- 20:19Speaker 1: to say, I'm going to go to my grave on that.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I do not think she knew.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I don't know what to believe.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Then when you find out, you look back and you,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and you go, you know what? I did have that thought.
- 20:30Speaker 1: And I, I pushed it down. I pushed it down. I,
- 20:33Speaker 1: you know, I pushed it down. I did have those,
- 20:35Speaker 1: everything plays back in your head, like a movie. And
- 20:38Speaker 1: you're like, how did I not? But I think No,
- 20:41Speaker 1: I mean, she was taking it to think. There was
- 20:43Speaker 1: never any real conversation. There was never any time that
- 20:47Speaker 1: Rachel O'Kelliver said to her, like, you know. Yeah, I don't.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Know if she knew about her. I just, it was just,
- 20:55Speaker 2: every time he had this conversation, I just remember thinking
- 20:57Speaker 2: to myself, this is, he's triggered. He's upset. He's like
- 21:03Speaker 2: yelling at me.
- 21:03Speaker 1: But that could be the thing, too, that when you
- 21:06Speaker 1: rewrite History, that would be the way that you could
- 21:11Speaker 1: forgive yourself. Maybe, yeah. Because you could be like, she knew,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and we were just riding this out until the season ended.
- 21:19Speaker 1: We were on a show together, and they did say
- 21:22Speaker 1: people said they planned things out a little bit, and
- 21:25Speaker 1: they kept a lot of things private versus other couples.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And I think everybody that goes on these shows, whether
- 21:30Speaker 1: it's Housewives or whatever, some people– lay it on the line,
- 21:35Speaker 1: completely forget the cameras there. Other people fucking hire a
- 21:39Speaker 1: writer to come up with snarky shit in their, in
- 21:42Speaker 1: their confessionals. Like there's all people hire, you know, um,
- 21:47Speaker 1: like I was just, just as we're talking about it,
- 21:50Speaker 1: I was watching, um, Potomac. Have you watched any of Potomac?
- 21:54Speaker 2: I've, I've, I've, Popped in. I've heard– everyone who watches
- 21:58Speaker 2: it says it's amazing. I want to start watching it,
- 22:01Speaker 2: but I have not really gotten into it yet.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you the– well, now I'm going to spoil
- 22:04Speaker 1: for you, okay? Because these were the three juicy things
- 22:06Speaker 1: that happened on Potomac. Really two. Because the other– well, no, three. One,
- 22:11Speaker 1: there was this girl, Mia, who was married to this
- 22:15Speaker 1: older guy. She admits that she was like his stripper
- 22:18Speaker 1: sugar baby or whatever. They had two kids. Now they've
- 22:21Speaker 1: been together a long time. And they break up and
- 22:24Speaker 1: she gets with her old boyfriend. And she says, well,
- 22:29Speaker 1: we don't know if my younger son is my old
- 22:32Speaker 1: boyfriend's that I had a whatever affair with while I
- 22:36Speaker 1: was with the husband, or if it is the husband's, Gordon's.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And she's having this conversation while they're filming it where
- 22:42Speaker 1: the kid is like skateboarding. And I was just like,
- 22:47Speaker 1: this is so wrong. Well, turns out the kid is
- 22:51Speaker 1: the husband's. And I was like, wait a minute. Now
- 22:56Speaker 1: this doesn't make it that badly, but the story was
- 23:01Speaker 1: from the other cast members. She always knew that the
- 23:05Speaker 1: kid wasn't from an affair. She knew it was the
- 23:09Speaker 1: father that the kid knew. So throwing this out was
- 23:12Speaker 1: a storyline. It was juicy. It got people talking. How
- 23:16Speaker 1: gross about your kid. But she knew the result was
- 23:19Speaker 1: going to be OK. Like if she didn't really know
- 23:22Speaker 1: the result, would she have played that game? So she
- 23:24Speaker 1: got accused of being a bad mother. She left the
- 23:26Speaker 1: show early, the reunion early. Then we have this girl, Stacy,
- 23:33Speaker 1: who came from QVC and she talks like this. And
- 23:36Speaker 1: she's like, you're a liar, Mia. And she had this
- 23:39Speaker 1: boyfriend named T.J. And TJ, wait, I want to see if, wait, just,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I want to see if I have this photo of TJ.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Here I go. Okay, here we go. This is TJ
- 23:50Speaker 1: and he's coming forth because she had this boyfriend named
- 23:52Speaker 1: TJ and she is like, you know, 45. She's getting
- 23:56Speaker 1: divorced with a 15 year old daughter or whatever. No, no,
- 23:59Speaker 1: her daughter's like eight. So she's like 40 and she's
- 24:02Speaker 1: getting divorced. And she's like, I've got a best friend
- 24:05Speaker 1: named TJ that I met at QVC. And TJ comes
- 24:09Speaker 1: around and she's like, he's very, she's a devout Christian.
- 24:12Speaker 1: So we have not had sex. And they're like, have
- 24:16Speaker 1: you done everything else but? And she's like, he's a
- 24:18Speaker 1: devout Christian, but he's my best friend. So all the
- 24:22Speaker 1: other women are like, what the fuck is this? So
- 24:24Speaker 1: audience starts to talk. Is he gay? What's going on?
- 24:27Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 24:28Speaker 1: So they break up before the reunion and at the reunion,
- 24:31Speaker 1: she's like, we're broken up and that's why he's not here. Well,
- 24:34Speaker 1: one of the other guys goes, yeah, we called him.
- 24:36Speaker 1: We're like, why aren't you not here? And he goes,
- 24:38Speaker 1: because she still owes me money. She was paying me
- 24:41Speaker 1: to be her boyfriend.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 24:46Speaker 1: Well, this is just on Sunday. So then. all the
- 24:51Speaker 1: girls have like a lot of, like they laugh and
- 24:55Speaker 1: stuff and have a lot of fun. And Andy's like
- 24:58Speaker 1: falling over. Like it's pretty entertaining. And so all the
- 25:01Speaker 1: girls are like, what the fuck? Now, Giselle had this
- 25:07Speaker 1: boyfriend that she met on, like, he was like a
- 25:09Speaker 1: summer house dude who came to visit her twice. I
- 25:13Speaker 1: called bullshit on that, but I don't think she was
- 25:15Speaker 1: paying him. I think she was like, come on over,
- 25:18Speaker 1: act like we're dating. You get to be filmed and
- 25:21Speaker 1: kept relative, you know, getting in the zeitgeist a little bit,
- 25:24Speaker 1: but whatever. I don't think she ever paid him. So
- 25:26Speaker 1: they were like, did you pay him? And she's like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I did not pay him. I did not pay him.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I don't know why he's saying this. He was my
- 25:35Speaker 1: best friend. Well, guess what? He's not my best friend anymore.
- 25:38Speaker 1: And Andy's like, why don't you just come right now?
- 25:40Speaker 1: She's like, I don't know why he's saying that. Why
- 25:42Speaker 1: don't you just come right now? And, um, She's like, well,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I will call him when I have my lawyer. Clearly,
- 25:48Speaker 1: she did. Clearly, she paid him. And they're like, well,
- 25:52Speaker 1: if you better tell the truth, Stacey, because if these
- 25:55Speaker 1: Zells and, you know, something comes up, it's going to
- 25:59Speaker 1: look really bad. And she just was like, I think
- 26:02Speaker 1: she was like, I need to get him on the phone.
- 26:03Speaker 2: She's paying him.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yes, she's paying him.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Why would she need to pay him?
- 26:08Speaker 1: To have a storyline. That's all.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I mean, she's.
- 26:11Speaker 1: She obviously can get a guy, but it's hard to
- 26:13Speaker 1: get guys that'll agree to be on camera. And because
- 26:16Speaker 1: he was an actor and a QVC host, and she
- 26:19Speaker 1: knew him from work.
- 26:20Speaker 2: So it's less about her paying him just to have
- 26:23Speaker 2: a boyfriend. It's her paying him to be a TV boyfriend,
- 26:27Speaker 2: so to speak.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yes, to have more of a storyline going on and
- 26:31Speaker 1: have people to film with.
- 26:33Speaker 2: I mean, it's still shady.
- 26:34Speaker 1: It is shady because it's a reality show, but I
- 26:37Speaker 1: think it's happening more and more, honestly, because- you know,
- 26:41Speaker 1: the shows have been around for 20 years and people,
- 26:43Speaker 1: you know, study them and they're like, well, what am
- 26:46Speaker 1: I going to do? Like I, my husband or ex-husband
- 26:49Speaker 1: B won't be on it. I don't really want to
- 26:51Speaker 1: exploit my kid. So I got to have something going on.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Like there's, there's, you know.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Bravo really, they, they squeeze as much juice as they
- 27:01Speaker 2: can out of their cast.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And when their juice is gone, you have to create it.
- 27:05Speaker 1: You have to go to concentrate.
- 27:07Speaker 2: No, it's a, it's a wild world, that Bravo world
- 27:10Speaker 2: in terms of the relationship between cast and network.
- 27:13Speaker 1: And I give him a lot of.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Credit because like I, I couldn't do it.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I think he was like, okay, great. I'm a Christian, whatever.
- 27:22Speaker 1: We'll play the storyline and this will be fun. I
- 27:26Speaker 1: don't think they were a couple at all. And then
- 27:30Speaker 1: when he saw all like the gay rumors and this
- 27:32Speaker 1: guy's fucking annoying and whatever, that's when then the person,
- 27:36Speaker 1: and this happens with real husbands.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Like you're not paying me enough.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what, and this happens with real husbands too.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Then they start to turn on their wife and then
- 27:44Speaker 1: you start to fight. And so then I think he
- 27:46Speaker 1: was pissed. And then maybe she really did promise him 10,000
- 27:50Speaker 1: for the season and she still owed him five or something.
- 27:52Speaker 1: And then they broke up and then she was like,
- 27:55Speaker 1: And then she's like, no, I'm not going to pay
- 27:57Speaker 1: you another five. But it's probably all verbal. But I mean,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you know, did people care enough about. Now, the final story,
- 28:05Speaker 1: the real juicy story is Karen Huger.
- 28:09Speaker 2: The concubine.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Got. Yeah. She when she was arrested for drug driving,
- 28:12Speaker 1: she said, I am Thomas Jefferson's concubine. And she just
- 28:17Speaker 1: got sentenced for two years, one suspended. Meaning she has
- 28:20Speaker 1: to do one year in real time in prison. She's
- 28:23Speaker 1: currently behind bars. Of course, she's going to try to
- 28:26Speaker 1: appeal it or get it taken down. What we realized
- 28:29Speaker 1: last night is that she could have taken a plea deal. Again,
- 28:33Speaker 1: one of those things which I would have said to James, too,
- 28:36Speaker 1: is right after he got arrested, you know, is you
- 28:39Speaker 1: could still deny that it happened, but it would help
- 28:42Speaker 1: in the public opinion if right away you go to rehab.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Just go right to rehab. Just be like, whatever it is.
- 28:49Speaker 1: You know what? I did have drinks that night. I
- 28:52Speaker 1: didn't put my hands on anybody or I don't believe–
- 28:55Speaker 1: I don't think I was at the level of drunk
- 28:57Speaker 1: driving and I'll fight that. But in the meantime, you
- 28:59Speaker 1: know what? Drinking doesn't work for me anymore. I'm going away.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Why not? Who can't use 30 days at a nice rehab?
- 29:06Speaker 1: So she didn't do that.
- 29:07Speaker 2: She refused to go to rehab?
- 29:08Speaker 1: She kept acting like it's not a big deal and
- 29:11Speaker 1: refused the plea deals.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Isn't this like her fourth or some offense or something?
- 29:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:14Speaker 1: So now we know it's her fourth. one like the
- 29:17Speaker 1: third one was knocked down to like a wet reckless
- 29:19Speaker 1: or something but definitely and then they have this weird
- 29:23Speaker 1: scene where they're like since she didn't go to the
- 29:26Speaker 1: reunion they have this setup scene where she's like reading
- 29:29Speaker 1: a book and then her older husband comes in and
- 29:32Speaker 1: he's like here's your tea and she's like oh thank
- 29:35Speaker 1: you ray so you know what really happened with the
- 29:40Speaker 1: drinking is after my parents died seven years ago, she's 60, okay?
- 29:46Speaker 1: So it's like, yeah, your parents died, but they'd be
- 29:48Speaker 1: fucking 100 if they were still alive. After my parents died,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I just started to self-medicate. Well, then the other girl
- 29:56Speaker 1: brings up that she went to a restaurant, another one
- 29:58Speaker 1: went to a restaurant, saying that she day drink all
- 30:00Speaker 1: the time. She was an alcoholic for sure. So she's
- 30:04Speaker 1: going to do her prison time. She will get out
- 30:06Speaker 1: in a year, probably like eight months. She will be
- 30:09Speaker 1: back on the show. And, yeah, but then the other
- 30:13Speaker 1: thing is they said that there was somebody else in
- 30:17Speaker 1: the car with her because she was always rumored to
- 30:18Speaker 1: have a boyfriend. We don't know. Like, because she crashed
- 30:25Speaker 1: the car. And so did someone skedaddle? Did she tell
- 30:29Speaker 1: someone to leave?
- 30:30Speaker 2: You would have thought that would have been caught.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if that's true.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I guess it doesn't know where the accident was and
- 30:37Speaker 2: things like that. And there's so many cameras.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I mean, she definitely doesn't want to, like, lose her
- 30:40Speaker 1: husband at this point. When you're in prison, your lover
- 30:43Speaker 1: doesn't visit you.
- 30:44Speaker 2: But if he was a passenger, like, why would he
- 30:46Speaker 2: need to?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Well, was he the passenger or was he actually driving her?
- 30:50Speaker 1: They got in the car accident.
- 30:51Speaker 2: And she decided to take. her fourth DUI and face
- 30:55Speaker 2: jail time?
- 30:56Speaker 1: She might have gone away with so many that she
- 30:58Speaker 1: might have thought it would be better that I look
- 31:00Speaker 1: like I was driving versus everyone finally knowing that I
- 31:04Speaker 1: had an affair because Giselle came on my podcast years
- 31:08Speaker 1: ago and said she had a blue-eyed boyfriend that's her driver.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And she's like, So.
- 31:13Speaker 2: You think, oh, so this was an alleged boyfriend who
- 31:17Speaker 2: she was cheating on.
- 31:18Speaker 1: So let's say he was driving. Maybe he was a
- 31:20Speaker 1: little buzzed, too. He hit the car. She was like,
- 31:23Speaker 1: go leave. Because while she was wasted talking to the cops,
- 31:26Speaker 1: she was like, I wasn't driving the car. And Ray
- 31:29Speaker 1: shows up. He's like, what? So I don't know. I
- 31:32Speaker 1: think she's very comfortable with lying. She's obviously an alcoholic
- 31:36Speaker 1: and she can never drink again.
- 31:37Speaker 2: And but. Was she the third Bravo celebrity to be incarcerated? Okay,
- 31:44Speaker 2: there was Teresa.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Jen Shaw is still there, but her sentence keeps getting
- 31:49Speaker 1: shut down.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah, she's going to be out.
- 31:50Speaker 1: She's with Elizabeth Holmes, one drop. And they hang out
- 31:54Speaker 1: together and work out. And then for doing any real time, yeah,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I think you're right. Yeah, I mean, a ton of
- 32:01Speaker 1: them have been arrested for different things.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Every used car has a story. Some sellers tell you everything.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Some leave out the spicy chapters. Before you buy, check
- 32:13Speaker 3: the car's history with Cartel.ie. Uncover the bits that might
- 32:17Speaker 3: be missing from the story, from mileage history and previous
- 32:20Speaker 3: damage to outstanding finance. Because the wrong car can cost
- 32:24Speaker 3: a lot more than the check.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Cartel.ie. Don't buy the story.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Check it.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Each week on the show, I sit down with extraordinary
- 32:40Speaker 4: people who have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have
- 32:45Speaker 4: found a way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 32:54Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 32:55Speaker 2: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 32:57Speaker 2: what would you do if it was given back? Where
- 33:00Speaker 2: did that need come from where you thought that you
- 33:03Speaker 2: had to succeed in order to feel loved? He said,
- 33:05Speaker 2: I have a work dad. I need a home dad.
- 33:07Speaker 2: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 33:12Speaker 4: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 33:15Speaker 4: go through.
- 33:16Speaker 2: It's about what happens next. I decided to risk it all.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 33:21Speaker 2: You're worth the work. Listen, Dara, I'm not going to
- 33:24Speaker 2: pull punches. You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 33:27Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 33:40Speaker 1: OK, let's go a little bit to it ends with
- 33:44Speaker 1: us controversy. The latest is that The New York Times
- 33:48Speaker 1: is trying to have the judge drop the fact that
- 33:52Speaker 1: he's suing them for defamation, saying we are within the
- 33:55Speaker 1: lines of opinion. And so that's where in with that. Also, that.
- 34:04Speaker 1: This was Daily Mail, so I don't know how exact
- 34:06Speaker 1: it was, but that Taylor Swift will have to be deposed,
- 34:10Speaker 1: which I would think she would be. So what is
- 34:13Speaker 1: your opinion? Because you are, you know, I've seen clips
- 34:16Speaker 1: and you're not a Justin Baldoni fan.
- 34:18Speaker 2: No.
- 34:19Speaker 1: And tell me where you are with it all now.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Where are you at?
- 34:23Speaker 1: When it first came out with the New York Times article,
- 34:26Speaker 1: I believed that, yes, I believe in smear campaigns. I
- 34:30Speaker 1: think I've been a victim of smear campaigns. I understand
- 34:33Speaker 1: how bots and hate pages work and fake conversations going on.
- 34:37Speaker 1: So I kind of was like, oh, wow, this is juicy.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I think maybe this did happen because he felt she
- 34:45Speaker 1: fucked him over. And then he went and made it
- 34:47Speaker 1: brought up weird interviews where she came off like an a-hole.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So I did believe it. But I now I definitely
- 34:55Speaker 1: am on team Justin. Why? Oh, my God. I've talked
- 34:59Speaker 1: about it too many times. There's so much evidence that
- 35:03Speaker 1: there's so much. Oh, my God. We're not going to
- 35:06Speaker 1: do the whole show. In a nutshell, I don't believe
- 35:10Speaker 1: he sexually harassed her. I don't think the sexy voicemail
- 35:15Speaker 1: was him having a sexy voice returning a text that
- 35:17Speaker 1: she left at 142 in which he was really trying
- 35:20Speaker 1: to placate her. I think his efforts were really earnest
- 35:25Speaker 1: to put a great movie together. I think he was
- 35:29Speaker 1: completely shocked when she went forward with these sexual harassment things.
- 35:35Speaker 1: All the joking and all the things that have come
- 35:39Speaker 1: since this supposed incident makes me not believe Ryan Reynolds
- 35:45Speaker 1: or her. I think they are— Ryan and Blake, I think,
- 35:48Speaker 1: are completely two peas in a pod. I think they're
- 35:51Speaker 1: a match made in heaven. I think they— You know,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I do think they'll probably stay together forever. I was like,
- 35:58Speaker 1: the only way out of it is if she turns
- 35:59Speaker 1: it on Ryan. And it's like he forced me to
- 36:02Speaker 1: do this lawsuit. But they're not doing that. So I
- 36:04Speaker 1: think they're going to stick together forever.
- 36:06Speaker 2: And what's their motive for doing all this?
- 36:09Speaker 1: I think that they wanted the rights to the second film.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Based on what evidence?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Based on that he has it and she wanted to
- 36:19Speaker 1: direct it. And they already had too much problems at
- 36:22Speaker 1: the end to go to do another film.
- 36:25Speaker 2: So– and that– but that is just a theory with
- 36:27Speaker 2: no evidence? Just that there is another book out there
- 36:32Speaker 2: and we assume.
- 36:32Speaker 1: That– Well, the rewriting of the scenes and all that
- 36:35Speaker 1: kind of stuff, he should not have done that. That's
- 36:36Speaker 1: a Writers Guild violation.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Sure.
- 36:38Speaker 2: That happens all the time.
- 36:40Speaker 1: And it was all– And it wasn't funny.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Well, regardless, yeah, that's all semantics. But like Kurt Russell
- 36:47Speaker 2: famously took over Tombstone. and all the actors on set talk,
- 36:53Speaker 2: still to this day, and rave. They bring up, like,
- 36:55Speaker 2: Tombstone and whatever. Like, Kurt Russell wasn't the director. He
- 36:59Speaker 2: wasn't credited for it. The original director was famously fired,
- 37:02Speaker 2: and then they hired someone else. But Kurt Russell just
- 37:05Speaker 2: took it over. And every one of his co-stars and
- 37:07Speaker 2: actors and Valkyries.
- 37:08Speaker 1: So are you saying if she was a man that
- 37:11Speaker 1: took over the film.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I'm just saying it happens all the time. It has happened.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong. We can
- 37:17Speaker 2: debate whether, like, someone stepped on someone's toes, but it's
- 37:20Speaker 2: not a crime. And it happens all the time.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I mean, all I can say is I understand what
- 37:26Speaker 1: you're saying. Like I said, I was team her from
- 37:28Speaker 1: the start. But then I'm like, there's just too many
- 37:31Speaker 1: things I've seen, too many interviews, too many clips, too many.
- 37:34Speaker 2: And these interviews.
- 37:36Speaker 1: I mean, there's just been so many. But you've been
- 37:41Speaker 1: a little criticized by some people. Some of my people
- 37:45Speaker 1: that have come on the show that really have done
- 37:47Speaker 1: the hard work, like they have read the hundred and
- 37:49Speaker 1: ninety five. I've read all the court docs, too.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I wouldn't say I've read every single page. I'm going
- 37:54Speaker 2: to say I've absolutely not. I read the first complaint.
- 37:58Speaker 2: I read Justin's first complaint against The New York Times.
- 38:02Speaker 1: There was something I think that you said in one
- 38:04Speaker 1: of your shows that you kind of were, you know,
- 38:08Speaker 1: not like saying like, oh, these content creators. you know,
- 38:15Speaker 1: building their cases is not that important. Or I don't
- 38:18Speaker 1: know what you said.
- 38:19Speaker 2: I don't know what I said either.
- 38:20Speaker 1: They felt a little like brushed off.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Who's they?
- 38:24Speaker 1: I just saw like a couple videos of criticism towards you.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So I was like, all right, I'm just going to
- 38:30Speaker 1: ask him about it. Because of course you have your
- 38:31Speaker 1: right to your opinion too. I am always really grateful
- 38:36Speaker 1: when people go and spend hours Or finding, oh, my God,
- 38:41Speaker 1: this is an interesting interview Blake did from five years ago.
- 38:45Speaker 1: This is telling of her character. This is a pattern
- 38:48Speaker 1: in her behavior. This is her personality. And I don't
- 38:52Speaker 1: think her personality is the worst thing in the world
- 38:54Speaker 1: or whatever, but it does make sense when we see
- 38:59Speaker 1: it and that's what Justin was saying. Like, here's evidence
- 39:02Speaker 1: of 10 years of her saying things like this, and
- 39:04Speaker 1: that's exactly what Justin said happened.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 39:07Speaker 1: And it wasn't him coming in and watching and wanting
- 39:11Speaker 1: to see her breastfeed. And it was, you know, it
- 39:13Speaker 1: wasn't him being a creep. And I think that's why
- 39:16Speaker 1: he's fighting so hard, because it's not true. Just like
- 39:21Speaker 1: Lisa Barlow. I'm going the distance on what this one
- 39:24Speaker 1: someone's accusing me of something I'm not doing. It's too
- 39:26Speaker 1: big of a thing in this day and age to just. go, okay,
- 39:31Speaker 1: I'll let her say this. And I think that's why
- 39:34Speaker 1: he's fighting so hard. And that I respect.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I think you're way off.
- 39:37Speaker 1: OK, now tell me what you think and then we'll
- 39:39Speaker 1: move on.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Well, like I said before, like my my biggest opinion
- 39:43Speaker 2: is based off the fact that I have met Justin
- 39:45Speaker 2: and interviewed Justin a few years ago.
- 39:47Speaker 4: OK.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Preparation for the interview. I read his books and I
- 39:49Speaker 2: watched his videos.
- 39:51Speaker 1: And I will say when you when you came on
- 39:53Speaker 1: my show, you were like spent the time to read
- 39:56Speaker 1: my books. And I have to say, I have never
- 39:58Speaker 1: had someone come that was a guest on my show
- 40:02Speaker 1: that was like, by the way, I read both these
- 40:04Speaker 1: books in the last night because I was excited to
- 40:06Speaker 1: meet you. So I do love that about you. So
- 40:09Speaker 1: I believe you. Based on past behavior, I believe you.
- 40:14Speaker 2: And I'm interviewing him, so he was promoting his book.
- 40:18Speaker 1: I read my guest books too, but a lot of
- 40:19Speaker 1: people don't.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And that's why I'm kind of surprised by your take,
- 40:23Speaker 2: only because I feel like I don't pay attention that
- 40:27Speaker 2: much to like every take that you have, but I
- 40:28Speaker 2: feel like, you know, when we get to know each other,
- 40:30Speaker 2: similar backgrounds, I am just very, like something that I'm
- 40:35Speaker 2: very skeptical of is like wolves in sheep's clothing, you know?
- 40:38Speaker 2: And I think maybe it's my Catholic background, right? As
- 40:41Speaker 2: someone who like, I grew up very Catholic around priests
- 40:44Speaker 2: and nuns, and I personally have had a great experience.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Right. So have I.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I know a lot of people who haven't.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Correct.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Some of the priests I grew up with that personally
- 40:54Speaker 2: I've had a good experience with have since been found
- 40:57Speaker 2: out to be terrible human beings. And so I'm just
- 41:01Speaker 2: very cautious of people who go out of their way
- 41:06Speaker 2: and present themselves as some sort of authority and protector
- 41:12Speaker 2: of people who are in vulnerable places. And I think
- 41:15Speaker 2: priests in general are like, there's a certain level of
- 41:19Speaker 2: authority they have. Um, and I think they have to
- 41:22Speaker 2: really respect that. Right. And so when I got, you know,
- 41:25Speaker 2: when I met Justin, I, I've, I've, I don't know
- 41:27Speaker 2: how many people I've interviewed over the course of the
- 41:29Speaker 2: five years, hundreds. And most people are wonderful. I've met
- 41:33Speaker 2: some friends. Some people are just like, oh, they seem
- 41:35Speaker 2: fine or whatever. He's the only person I had like
- 41:37Speaker 2: a visceral, like reaction to where I was like, this
- 41:40Speaker 2: guy is, this guy's full of shit. That was my opinion. Um,
- 41:44Speaker 2: and I just felt like there's something, I was like,
- 41:45Speaker 2: there's something just off about this guy, you know, everything
- 41:48Speaker 2: he did in the interview. And again, I get– that's
- 41:52Speaker 2: just my opinion. Sometimes you just feel something where it's
- 41:56Speaker 2: just like he– and my big thing is like when
- 41:59Speaker 2: reading his books and all these things and I was interviewing,
- 42:01Speaker 2: asking him follow-up questions, I didn't feel like he could
- 42:03Speaker 2: actually like elaborate on what he talked about. It was
- 42:06Speaker 2: like all he did is kind of rehearse and rehash
- 42:09Speaker 2: the things that were in his book.
- 42:11Speaker 1: And what was the book? Just being a male feminist
- 42:14Speaker 1: and like championing women?
- 42:16Speaker 2: It's all about like, yeah, it's all about kind of
- 42:18Speaker 2: lecturing other men about how you're supposed to act around
- 42:21Speaker 2: women and all this like virtue signaling about like how.
- 42:25Speaker 2: But he used to be bad in the past and
- 42:27Speaker 2: he's done the work and now he knows how to
- 42:29Speaker 2: be good. And like and it's like he's basically selling safety.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You know, just like a priest does. He sells, like,
- 42:36Speaker 2: I used to be bad, but now I'm good. And
- 42:39Speaker 2: you can trust me. And you can, like, you can,
- 42:43Speaker 2: I'm safe around. You're safe around me. And he's specifically
- 42:47Speaker 2: speaking to women who have had a bad experience from
- 42:51Speaker 2: a man. Like, and, you know, I'm sure every woman out,
- 42:55Speaker 2: most women I've met, I've had at least one instance
- 42:57Speaker 2: or sadly more where, like, some guy just, like, made
- 43:00Speaker 2: them feel uncomfortable. You know what I'm saying?
- 43:02Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 43:03Speaker 2: And, you know, so when when the Blake stuff came
- 43:06Speaker 2: out back in like when the movie came out and
- 43:09Speaker 2: it was the story first broke, that was all of
- 43:12Speaker 2: a sudden Blake and the rest of the cast had
- 43:14Speaker 2: separated themselves from Justin.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 43:16Speaker 2: I remember being like, I fucking knew it. You know,
- 43:19Speaker 2: that was just my personal like, holy shit, I fucking
- 43:21Speaker 2: knew it. I didn't know anything. This is at the
- 43:23Speaker 2: point where we didn't know why they had separated.
- 43:25Speaker 1: No, we didn't know why.
- 43:26Speaker 2: We didn't know anything, right?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that too. I didn't even think it
- 43:30Speaker 1: was that big of a news story.
- 43:31Speaker 2: I just remember like having– and I just remember being like, oh,
- 43:35Speaker 2: I knew– I didn't know what it was about this guy.
- 43:37Speaker 2: But like the fact that no one's doing press with
- 43:39Speaker 2: this guy, I'm like, I fucking knew.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Okay.
- 43:41Speaker 2: So that's– there's a bias there.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 43:44Speaker 2: From my personal experience with him. And then what I
- 43:48Speaker 2: thought was so weird is that the days that followed,
- 43:50Speaker 2: the internet was like universally– Against Blake and clips we
- 43:55Speaker 2: were putting out were just being like spammed with negative comments.
- 43:58Speaker 2: And I remember being like, wow, like I did not
- 44:00Speaker 2: expect this. You know, I didn't I didn't think anything
- 44:03Speaker 2: about smear campaigns. I would just remember being like, huh,
- 44:05Speaker 2: this like this is weird.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Like, well, I was in defense of Blake, too, because
- 44:11Speaker 1: I was like. Prior to that, I talked about how
- 44:14Speaker 1: I saw this interview about this hairdresser who wrote a book.
- 44:17Speaker 1: And he was saying it was about his life. And,
- 44:19Speaker 1: of course, the only clips that no one cared about
- 44:21Speaker 1: his life except when he talked about celebrities. And he
- 44:24Speaker 1: was like, oh, you know, this actress was so wonderful
- 44:29Speaker 1: and we were best friends. Blake never asked me about
- 44:31Speaker 1: her daughter. She invited us all over and the food
- 44:34Speaker 1: wasn't ready yet for Easter. I'm like, she invited the
- 44:36Speaker 1: crew for Easter? That sounds pretty fucking nice. Like, I
- 44:39Speaker 1: was like, you know what? Sometimes hairdressers and makeup artists,
- 44:43Speaker 1: sometimes the artists... Is so worried about the scene. They
- 44:47Speaker 1: don't want to ask you about your daughter. So I
- 44:50Speaker 1: was in the defense of like that. The fact that
- 44:52Speaker 1: like makeup and hair people are always like, oh, like
- 44:55Speaker 1: we all just believe everything they say. And I'm like, sometimes, sometimes,
- 45:00Speaker 1: you know, we don't want to be your best friend
- 45:01Speaker 1: because we're stressed. We don't want to follow up with
- 45:04Speaker 1: you because we hung out on a movie for two months.
- 45:07Speaker 1: And that shouldn't mean that she's. inherently a bad person.
- 45:11Speaker 2: I think there's a huge difference between being a jerk
- 45:14Speaker 2: and being a creep. And what I have learned is
- 45:17Speaker 2: that like, depending on who you ask, like a lot
- 45:20Speaker 2: of people disagree with that, you know, like disagree with
- 45:23Speaker 2: creep versus jerk. Yeah. I mean, listen, I think, you know,
- 45:26Speaker 2: if you're good at setting a boundary and you're good
- 45:28Speaker 2: at saying no to people and you're good at asking
- 45:29Speaker 2: for what you want, there's a lot of people out
- 45:30Speaker 2: there who like think you're kind of like not fun
- 45:33Speaker 2: or like, You know, I don't know. There's people out
- 45:36Speaker 2: there who might think I'm a jerk, you know, or
- 45:37Speaker 2: maybe people out there who might think you're a jerk
- 45:39Speaker 2: because you're good at being like you're you're no bullshit person.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Right now. Anyway, so like back to that, I just
- 45:46Speaker 2: remember thinking like, wow, this is so off. Like why?
- 45:49Speaker 2: Like it didn't make sense to me that like here
- 45:52Speaker 2: you have this like ultra celebrity and Blake Lively. I
- 45:55Speaker 2: knew who Justin was at the time, but like. Compared
- 45:58Speaker 2: to like her, like I would say nine out of
- 46:00Speaker 2: 10 people who have heard this story don't even know
- 46:02Speaker 2: who this guy is. And I think that's part of
- 46:04Speaker 2: why like sentiment has like, I think most people are
- 46:07Speaker 2: fond of the story. It's just like, ooh, Blake Lively,
- 46:08Speaker 2: what did she do wrong? Like a kind of a
- 46:10Speaker 2: fall from grace situation. But it just like made no
- 46:14Speaker 2: sense to me, you know? And then, you know, the
- 46:17Speaker 2: movie came out, story kind of went away. Everyone kind
- 46:20Speaker 2: of forgot about it, blah, blah, blah. And then so
- 46:22Speaker 2: when that story came out, it kind of all made
- 46:25Speaker 2: sense where it was just like, Oh, well, like, that's
- 46:28Speaker 2: why it didn't, you know, to me, it really registered
- 46:31Speaker 2: that like his, this whole smear campaign that like Blake
- 46:36Speaker 2: has alleged that he's doing kind of started back in
- 46:38Speaker 2: August when I think that the moment in which she
- 46:42Speaker 2: put him and his team down in the basement or whatever,
- 46:45Speaker 2: or that they, the premier came out where he had
- 46:47Speaker 2: to do press on his own. That's when him and
- 46:50Speaker 2: his team said, we're going to war and we're, and
- 46:52Speaker 2: we're doing this. And I could, bring up accounts or
- 46:56Speaker 2: like I found this one interesting Twitter account called something
- 47:00Speaker 2: marvelous or something. And he, this person, I don't know
- 47:05Speaker 2: if it's a he or a she, it's like an
- 47:06Speaker 2: anonymous account, but like broke down just like what Justin team,
- 47:10Speaker 2: his team is doing.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:12Speaker 2: And so essentially when you, like, when you think about
- 47:14Speaker 2: the smear, smear campaign, smear, smear, like, yeah.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 2: So I think it's really fascinating. Like in this Jed
- 47:23Speaker 2: Wallace person that's named or whatever, like he does exist.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I know people who have taken meetings with this guy.
- 47:29Speaker 1: He's the one that she accused running the bot farm.
- 47:32Speaker 2: He's the person who seems to be like running the
- 47:34Speaker 2: social media manipulation. And essentially what seems to be going
- 47:38Speaker 2: on is like you kind of mentioned before, like a
- 47:40Speaker 2: lot of it is this like you kind of play
- 47:43Speaker 2: on like various narratives. You go on Reddit, you create
- 47:46Speaker 2: some like storylines, you create some content, you find old clips,
- 47:50Speaker 2: you find old videos, you blitz, you really push a
- 47:53Speaker 2: narrative over and over. Then you find other people out
- 47:56Speaker 2: there online with the same messaging. You search like pro-Justin stuff,
- 48:01Speaker 2: anti-Blake stuff. And then when it comes to the pro-Justin stuff,
- 48:05Speaker 2: they're boosting those posts, right? And so for example, this
- 48:08Speaker 2: particular account, it started this thread explaining what he was
- 48:11Speaker 2: doing by like showing this one tweet that had like
- 48:13Speaker 2: 300 impressions, six likes and 60 retweets. Now that is
- 48:20Speaker 2: basically saying this was boosted because like you can't show
- 48:24Speaker 2: me a tweet out there that has that ratio that's
- 48:27Speaker 2: actually organic. If something has like 10 retweets, it has
- 48:29Speaker 2: 50 likes or something to that effect. So this is
- 48:32Speaker 2: clearly something that like, it was like, I think the
- 48:36Speaker 2: tweet was, you can't make me hate Justin Baldoni or something.
- 48:39Speaker 2: And this account was pointing out that this was like
- 48:41Speaker 2: a failed attempt at boosting this particular tweet, but they're
- 48:46Speaker 2: doing this in like great numbers and they're going online
- 48:49Speaker 2: searching for, you know, and they kind of broke down.
- 48:51Speaker 2: They looked at all the retweets and looked at the
- 48:53Speaker 2: accounts and yada, yada, yada. And when you think about
- 48:56Speaker 2: the internet, the internet is, it operates in trends. I mean,
- 48:59Speaker 2: you and I do that. I'm sure like what's trendy,
- 49:00Speaker 2: what music's trending, what dances are trending and things like that.
- 49:04Speaker 2: And so I know there's a lot of speculation about
- 49:06Speaker 2: like people accusing, oh, Justin's team is paying people or yada, yada, yada.
- 49:10Speaker 2: But It's also just like, I think people love following trends.
- 49:13Speaker 2: And so for the,– I don't know who's mad at
- 49:16Speaker 2: me or whatever. But I do like– listen, I don't–
- 49:21Speaker 2: I'm not a journalist. I don't report the news. I'm
- 49:23Speaker 2: an entertainer. That's what I said.
- 49:25Speaker 4: Right?
- 49:26Speaker 1: This is comedic. Commentary on pop culture.
- 49:29Speaker 2: We might be wrong. I don't know.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I have not read all the court docs.
- 49:34Speaker 2: And I've read the vast majority of them. I'm not
- 49:37Speaker 2: an expert, though, and we've had some experts on. But
- 49:39Speaker 2: there's a lot of people out there online who are
- 49:42Speaker 2: like social media commentators or podcasters or whatever.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Who act like they are experts just because they've read
- 49:49Speaker 2: complaints and then like every day they're out there with
- 49:51Speaker 2: this new theory, this new theory that and that's great.
- 49:54Speaker 2: They have their take, but that doesn't make them experts
- 49:57Speaker 2: because they they believe in narrative. Also, whether it's on
- 50:01Speaker 2: purpose or not, like there's a lot of people out
- 50:04Speaker 2: there benefiting from the fact that Justin, I believe, has
- 50:07Speaker 2: a team boosting all the pro Justin stuff. And suppressing
- 50:11Speaker 2: the anti-Blake stuff because also what they're able to do
- 50:14Speaker 2: is like all these like fake accounts and not really bots.
- 50:16Speaker 1: You mean pushing the anti-Blake?
- 50:18Speaker 2: Well, no. What actually can happen is like you get
- 50:21Speaker 2: a bunch of accounts that then start like– if you
- 50:24Speaker 2: see a pro-Blake account, you can like– I can go
- 50:28Speaker 2: on your page and start like reporting all your content
- 50:30Speaker 2: if I wanted to.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 50:31Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? And so if you get
- 50:33Speaker 2: hundreds of those, that can suppress that stuff. And so
- 50:37Speaker 2: like I think it's really going on. And like the
- 50:39Speaker 2: alleged– Justin Baldoni's co-founder is a billionaire. He has the
- 50:44Speaker 2: money to do exactly what Justin's team seems to be doing,
- 50:46Speaker 2: which is fighting this case in the court of public opinion.
- 50:50Speaker 2: And everyone's just kind of dismissing that. And so I
- 50:53Speaker 2: also think it's crazy to think like, so in all
- 50:56Speaker 2: these narratives about like, most of the conversations is about
- 51:00Speaker 2: the sexual harassment. No one's really talking about the smear campaign.
- 51:03Speaker 2: And to me, I think that what most people should
- 51:06Speaker 2: be freaked out about is that part of Blake's complaint
- 51:10Speaker 2: because like the smear campaign of like, I think it's scary.
- 51:14Speaker 2: If Blake's side is right, if my opinion is right,
- 51:16Speaker 2: I think people should be terrified what Justin and his
- 51:18Speaker 2: team have been able to accomplish. This guy who seems
- 51:21Speaker 2: to be, has unlimited funding, right, has a following himself,
- 51:25Speaker 2: has been able to take down and change the narrative
- 51:28Speaker 2: of some of the most likable, formally, like A-list celebrity's
- 51:34Speaker 2: in the world because he has a very dedicated, very
- 51:37Speaker 2: sophisticated team who's been able to like drive these narratives
- 51:41Speaker 2: and bring up every awkward interview that Blake's ever given
- 51:44Speaker 2: or every bitchy moment she's might've said or things like that.
- 51:47Speaker 2: And I think we love a takedown, you know, America
- 51:50Speaker 2: loves a takedown and they love a comeback. You know
- 51:52Speaker 2: what I'm saying? And so I think right now, Justin
- 51:55Speaker 2: is bettering from the fact that most people don't even
- 51:57Speaker 2: know who he is. And most people, when they hear
- 51:59Speaker 2: the story, they're just like, what did Blake do wrong?
- 52:01Speaker 2: What did she say? Most people don't even care enough.
- 52:04Speaker 2: They don't even care enough to know that this whole
- 52:07Speaker 2: man's like, he does a Ted talk, like talking about
- 52:10Speaker 2: how like you need to believe women, even if what
- 52:12Speaker 2: they're saying is against you. And I'm just simply saying
- 52:15Speaker 2: like that sexy voicemail, like it's all, we can sit
- 52:19Speaker 2: here and debate whether like that was creepy or it
- 52:20Speaker 2: wasn't creepy. It really depends on who you are. Like
- 52:22Speaker 2: if you want to fuck the guy, you know, you
- 52:24Speaker 2: might think his voice is hot, whatever. But I'm saying
- 52:27Speaker 2: that the guy is, who has written all these books,
- 52:30Speaker 2: who gives these TED Talks, you don't, at the end
- 52:33Speaker 2: of a six-minute voice message, talk about someone's boob. In
- 52:37Speaker 2: that context, when your whole platform is saying how like,
- 52:41Speaker 2: I know how to talk to women, I know what
- 52:43Speaker 2: I'm supposed to do, I know what creepy is. If
- 52:46Speaker 2: your 18-year-old son came home and he brought his buddies
- 52:50Speaker 2: and you overheard them talking about the porn they were watching,
- 52:54Speaker 2: you might be like, you gross yuck. If your priest
- 52:56Speaker 2: came over and started talking about the porn he watched,
- 52:59Speaker 2: you would have a very different opinion. And my point is,
- 53:01Speaker 2: is that like when a guy like Justin comes in
- 53:05Speaker 2: and says, I've done the work, I'm, I know what
- 53:07Speaker 2: it's like. I am your ally. Trust me, women. I
- 53:10Speaker 2: know you've been, you've had all these terrible experiences with men,
- 53:13Speaker 2: but I know your plight. And then the next thing
- 53:16Speaker 2: you know, he's sending you a six minute in voicemail
- 53:17Speaker 2: talking about your boob. You're like, it's the It's like
- 53:20Speaker 2: you're like, what the fuck?
- 53:21Speaker 1: We're going to move on, but I'm going to tell you,
- 53:23Speaker 1: this is what I think happened. You said what you
- 53:26Speaker 1: think happened. This is what I think happened, okay? I think,
- 53:30Speaker 1: you know, he could be a bit of a BS
- 53:32Speaker 1: or a wannabe, this person. That's fine. I think that
- 53:37Speaker 1: she was excited to, as any mom who's been married
- 53:41Speaker 1: for 10 years and has four kids— to, I mean,
- 53:45Speaker 1: I've never played a role where I was romantic with someone,
- 53:48Speaker 1: but I would fucking jump at the chance at 25
- 53:51Speaker 1: years of marriage because it's like a legal free make out, right?
- 53:54Speaker 4: I guess.
- 53:55Speaker 1: So I'm just saying like, you know, it's kind of exciting.
- 53:58Speaker 1: She also, that's how she got with Ryan Reynolds when
- 54:01Speaker 1: they were both with other people on the Green Lantern.
- 54:04Speaker 1: So she, I think she was being flirty, a little
- 54:08Speaker 1: bit excited for it. At one point, She wasn't maybe
- 54:14Speaker 1: even having any intention to get with him, but just
- 54:17Speaker 1: enjoying that time. Ryan... got wind of it, saw the
- 54:21Speaker 1: text messages on the kid's iPad or whatever, and didn't
- 54:25Speaker 1: like it. And then got pissed. And then she placated
- 54:30Speaker 1: her husband, who she knows his moods after 10 years,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and was like, he's fucking creeping me out. Like he's
- 54:37Speaker 1: coming in here when I'm breastfeeding. And he's like, he
- 54:39Speaker 1: did what? Oh, fuck this motherfucker. And then his first
- 54:42Speaker 1: reaction is let's make fun of him because that's what
- 54:45Speaker 1: I like to do. They shoot the nice pool part
- 54:47Speaker 1: where they're making fun of him, which is absolutely you
- 54:50Speaker 1: can do that. There's nothing wrong with that.
- 54:52Speaker 2: The way people are like making that such a thing.
- 54:53Speaker 1: That's comedy that you're able to do that. That's legal. OK.
- 54:57Speaker 2: And also like if someone I've whether whether your version
- 55:00Speaker 2: is right or my version is right. Like if someone
- 55:02Speaker 2: like if I were in his position, I thought some
- 55:05Speaker 2: guy was a creeper with my wife. I would absolutely
- 55:06Speaker 2: mock him. Right.
- 55:07Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying. I can kind of see that.
- 55:10Speaker 1: I can kind of see that. And then they're like,
- 55:13Speaker 1: fuck this guy. We're never going to work with him again.
- 55:15Speaker 1: And the studio is aware of it. So they're like,
- 55:17Speaker 1: you guys have to have separate things. Blake is the
- 55:20Speaker 1: bigger star and she's bringing in the bigger star husband.
- 55:23Speaker 1: And that kind of bummed Justin out. But he was like, whatever.
- 55:27Speaker 1: But he was like, no, like maybe maybe there was
- 55:29Speaker 1: something going on with like, let's get out stories of
- 55:33Speaker 1: what a bitch she was. I'm just saying. And but then.
- 55:37Speaker 1: They went the next step months later and they said
- 55:41Speaker 1: that she and she said I was sexually harassed. And
- 55:44Speaker 1: I do not believe that she was. She didn't say
- 55:48Speaker 1: she was assaulted. She was harassed.
- 55:50Speaker 2: And that's a huge difference.
- 55:52Speaker 1: It's a huge, huge, huge difference.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Let me ask you this.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It can be interpreted as such when you're the victim
- 55:58Speaker 1: of it. So I will give her that.
- 55:59Speaker 2: So two things. Back in August, when the story came out,
- 56:03Speaker 2: there were reports about like You know, when Blake was
- 56:06Speaker 2: getting crucified initially, People magazine or something came out. I
- 56:10Speaker 2: think it was People came out with some story about
- 56:12Speaker 2: like the reason for the disconnect between the rest of
- 56:15Speaker 2: the cast and Justin. It was some of Justin's on
- 56:18Speaker 2: set behavior or something. And I was like, oh, here
- 56:21Speaker 2: we go. And then immediately people were like, fuck, Blake.
- 56:24Speaker 2: This is bullshit. This is like I was like, what?
- 56:27Speaker 2: Like any other story. I was like, this would like.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Turned into something and it weirdly didn't. And again, I
- 56:34Speaker 2: don't know.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Here's the final thing of it. Here's the final thing
- 56:37Speaker 1: of it in this day and age of 2025. And
- 56:40Speaker 1: there's been, I was sexually harassed by my first network
- 56:45Speaker 1: podcast one guy. And there was someone that was like, don't,
- 56:50Speaker 1: you know, a lawyer came to me. I heard your story.
- 56:53Speaker 1: I heard that I played the tape. Don't, do you
- 56:55Speaker 1: want to, you know, do you want to sue and
- 56:58Speaker 1: all that stuff? And I was like, No, like I don't.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I don't care to go down that road. I wasn't
- 57:07Speaker 1: thrown up against the wall. Was I sexually harassed? Was
- 57:09Speaker 1: I felt nervous? Yes. The worst part about it was
- 57:12Speaker 1: he tried to keep me from having a podcast for
- 57:14Speaker 1: the next six months.
- 57:15Speaker 2: See, I don't think.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Like that is where I was like, just let me
- 57:18Speaker 1: fucking work. Like that is where it was so annoying.
- 57:22Speaker 1: But I ended up putting out the story. I played
- 57:25Speaker 1: the tape. He was like, I was being funny. I'm like, oh, good.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Then aren't you glad that I played how funny you were?
- 57:29Speaker 1: And then because the things that mattered most to him,
- 57:35Speaker 1: being a UC regent, that was taken from him. Carrying
- 57:39Speaker 1: a gun around as an honorary sheriff, that was taken
- 57:42Speaker 1: from him. And now he's deceased. But no, people still think, oh,
- 57:45Speaker 1: Heather's problematic. She's sued. No, I never fucking sued.
- 57:49Speaker 2: But that's the thing. I actually think that she never
- 57:52Speaker 2: wanted to or intended to bring this case forward because
- 57:56Speaker 2: of the sexual harassment. Like this is my conspiracy, right?
- 58:01Speaker 2: Like I'm not a big conspiracy theorist, but like if,
- 58:06Speaker 2: if her version is true, so she came to set,
- 58:09Speaker 2: he did some weird things, whatever, you know, there's also
- 58:13Speaker 2: like alleged witnesses. So like, if this goes to court, like,
- 58:15Speaker 2: I mean, maybe, maybe she's, if she's lying, I mean,
- 58:19Speaker 2: I do think one person, this story is a horrible person.
- 58:21Speaker 2: I do believe that. Um, Like, and then like, you know, again,
- 58:26Speaker 2: like maybe I'm off track, but if you're, let me,
- 58:30Speaker 2: I want to go back. But if you, do you
- 58:33Speaker 2: have a friend who's recently lost a parent or a
- 58:36Speaker 2: loved one who has like, maybe it's still like hard
- 58:38Speaker 2: feelings about like losing their parent?
- 58:40Speaker 1: Right. Yes. Of course everyone does.
- 58:42Speaker 2: And if, if their boss who like you were like
- 58:45Speaker 2: on the fence about came to work one day and
- 58:47Speaker 2: was like, I was talking to your dad last night.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. Then what was the story there that
- 58:52Speaker 1: he said to her? I talked to your dad in
- 58:55Speaker 1: my dream last night.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Yeah. And it seemed like multiple times. So think about that.
- 59:02Speaker 2: That's such a manipulative thing to be like, I have
- 59:05Speaker 2: a relationship with your father. I've been talking to him.
- 59:10Speaker 1: To him.
- 59:10Speaker 2: And you know what? He's proud of you or he's sad.
- 59:12Speaker 2: I don't know what he said, but that's fucked up.
- 59:15Speaker 2: And even if that's all he did, that would be like,
- 59:18Speaker 2: stop fucking doing that. And so if that's.
- 59:21Speaker 1: All he did, you shouldn't have done it. I think
- 59:23Speaker 1: she would have done nothing until she believed, they believed,
- 59:28Speaker 1: she and Ryan- that there was real evidence of the
- 59:31Speaker 1: smear campaign. And then in doing it, they listed all
- 59:35Speaker 1: the fucking things that went on and they said, actually,
- 59:38Speaker 1: these other things are under sexual harassment. So we're gonna
- 59:42Speaker 1: put that in there too. I know people are gonna
- 59:44Speaker 1: correct a million things in this discussion. I know there
- 59:48Speaker 1: was a complaint that happened when there was a COVID
- 59:51Speaker 1: break and that's when Deadpool was done. I mean, that's
- 59:54Speaker 1: why this conversation keeps going on. And that's why it's
- 59:56Speaker 1: going to trial in a year because there is so
- 59:58Speaker 1: fucking much through it.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I think they complained about his behavior. Yeah. According to
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: her side, that behavior allegedly got better. Like he stopped
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: doing whatever she said. Please stop doing this so we
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: can just finish this fucking project and I can never
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: talk to you again.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: And then, yeah, maybe Blake shouldn't have distanced herself from
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Justin or whatever. She pulled that move. I think his
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: team saw that as like the first punch. And then
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: he got together with his billionaire buddy. They hired this, like,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: team that, again, the emails out there, think about all
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the emails. Like, I don't know how, like, to me,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: all the emails that you've been talking about, Blake, are
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: just like, Blake being nice to Justin doesn't mean that, like,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: he made her feel uncomfortable or any of the things
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: that she claimed weren't true.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I mean, and that's the thing. When you have something
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: like this, every single thing.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Like even with my, you know, podcast one boss, people
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: were like, you went on the, you went on his boat,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you know, like first month of working there.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: You're just trying to make it work.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: With my husband and my friend.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: And he was fine. And he wasn't creepy then. And
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: it really, and even when he was creepy, the first
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: thing I did was I called him and I said,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I don't want to have a podcast anymore. And I go,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I am not making enough money. And he goes, all right, fine.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Just know you can't have a podcast anywhere else. I go,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: what do you mean I can't? The whole point is
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I'm supposed to have my own. So it was like
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I tried to do all those things. But, yeah.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: I think they felt like they came after him. This
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: is like the conspiracy. Think about like way back in
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: the 60s. Like, you know, we had the Trump assassination attempt,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: which weirdly no one like talked about, which was kind
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: of bizarre. And I was like, this is the craziest
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: thing that's going on. What the fuck is going on?
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: In the 60s, you had JFK, RFK, Malcolm X, MLK.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: They were all assassinated. That used to be a weird thing.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: There was these crazy assassinations from public figures that were disruptors.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: You know why you see less of that? Because it's
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: far more effective just to assassinate someone's character. When you
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: actually assassinate someone literally, you actually memorialize their cause. I
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: know I'm getting a little deeper in the weeds, but
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: when you think about it in those contexts, Justin Baldoni
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: allegedly got accused of being a creep and she was like,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: please fucking stop. And instead of just stopping him and
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: his like colleagues tried to literally destroy her. They tried
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: to assassinate her character and her husband. And like, if
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: this alleged that this, this billionaire was willing to spend
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: a hundred million dollars. Now that's just an allegation. We
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: don't know if it's true. I don't know where that
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: came from. It's in her, But like if that's the case,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I do think for Blake and Ryan, I think it
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: is personal. I think they're like– because it really makes
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: no– right? Like objectively speaking, if you're their lawyer or
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: their friend, it's like do you really want to go
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: to battle with– like is it worth it? Like this
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: guy is a nobody compared to you and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Like things have blown over.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: So I think they– I.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Think they're like this guy tried to come from my
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: fucking family. They tried to destroy it. And I think
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: they're out there being like fuck this guy. And they're
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: seeing it through. OK.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: But I think– In their heart of hearts, they've got
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to be. And then we're moving on. I definitely think
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: they regret it because it's like.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: What's the point? That might be true, but I do
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: think it's personal.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: So I want to just talk about this. Did you
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: see the Millie Bobby Brown?
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Oh, she ate.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Well, you think she looks great?
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: No, I'm saying, are we going to talk about her
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: outing all these journalists that wrote some stories?
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Okay, okay. So here she is when the Stranger Things
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: started a couple years later. And today, she's only 21
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: years old. She normally had brown hair. Now she has
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: blonde hair with bangs. And in some of these red
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: carpet photos, I don't know if it was the lighting.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Maybe she did get some filler or something. But the
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: biggest difference is she has long blonde hair. And it
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: looks very mature. She definitely looks like a woman who's
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: like 38, not 21. So people commented and then she
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: called it out and no makeup but with the blonde
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: hair and she said all the, you know, who would
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: write these articles and put this in? Well, the articles
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: were written because the photos were public and people were
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: commenting and then that becomes viral and then these people
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: write articles. And I do appreciate her saying that. But
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: at the same time, if you're going to be an actress,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: if you're going to go on the red carpet, your
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: dress is either going to be seen as beautiful or bad.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: We are going to comment on people's looks. I'm sorry.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: It's just a fact. And I think it's mostly the
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: blonde hair. I don't know what she's had done to
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: her face, but I, too, think she looks like she's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: a woman that's on her second divorce. Sorry. I do. Sure.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: I mean— You are definitely entitled to that opinion.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: She still looks really attractive. Her look just looks mature.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: She still looks very attractive. But to me, she does
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: look unrecognizable. I would have never known who that was.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: And I'm sorry that she was hurt by it. But
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: looking older and more mature, so what? Then you can
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: play a variety of roles.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Fair enough. But I also think she's entitled to be offended.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: And I think she's entitled to do what exactly what
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: she did and go out there and read the names
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: and the headlines of, you know, cause some of them
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: are fucking shitty headlines. I mean, like, you know, some
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: of the, you know, some of the people who are
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: out there, like, and that's not to go back to
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: what we just talked about, but like fucking journalism is
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: journalism is dead. You know, like I think, you know, well,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: we're not, we're not news reporters and we're not journalists. Like,
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: sometimes we have more credibility than people who claim to
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: be the news because like, it's like, we've never told
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: people that we're like the, you know, like absolutely undisputed
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: place for trusted news. You know what I'm saying? Like
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: we don't pretend to be, but sometimes there's outlets out
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: there who are like, we are. And then they like
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: do their bullshit and bias. And it's just like, well,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: fuck man, why should we believe you? Anyways, I think good,
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: I say good on her. And like, she came into
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: this business as a 10 year old And now she's
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: only 21. And for some of these like people who
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: are writing these articles, it's coming from a place of
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: like pettiness and hate and shit like that. And yeah, again,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: I guess she's.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: And also just the Drake thing, you know, Drake and
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: her used to talk on the phone when she was 13.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: That's on Drake. Which was fucking weird.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: That's on Drake.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Of course. It was weird. And, you know, and it
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: got reminded at the Super Bowl and at the Oscars.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Did you see this? When Ariana Grande was asked about
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: her next album and she goes, I went to the
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: brain erase clinic or something. It's some clinic. And I
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: looked it up and it does exist.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: It does exist.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: It does exist.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: I thought she was just trolling.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: No, she was like, you know, that clinic, you know,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: that makes your memories go away. They erase your memories.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: And I was like, I mean- I don't know. There's
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: so many weird things in L.A. And obviously, if there
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: was some awful memory of like getting in a horrific
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: car accident and seeing your mom die or something and
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: it kept replaying in your mind and someone goes, do
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: you want that erased?
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: This is a thing.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Then maybe, then why would that not be, that to
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: me sounds like a good thing.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Potentially, yeah.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: But then, of course, conspiracy things are like, is that
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: what they do to children who are like, you know,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: molested by Hollywood elites? We just send them to the
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: clinic to erase them? The memories of it. But there's
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: that she said it just so, you know, with her
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: wide eyes.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: When I saw it, I thought she was, like, just trolling. Yeah. Like,
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: she had asked a question she didn't want to answer.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: And then she was like, I don't know. They erased
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: my memory so I can answer it. That's how I
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: took it.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: But she actually says the clinic's name.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: So it is a real place.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: That's bizarre.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: And Sloan Hooks got that one. Adrian Brody, just to
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: remind people, he has this beautiful girlfriend. The girlfriend is
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the ex-wife of Harvey Weinstein. Natalie told me this morning.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: I was like, what? Yes.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I've known this for a while. And I'm just like, wow,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: a woman like that that could go from marrying the
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: most evil Jabba the Hutt looking man, having two of
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: his kids, which I'm like, who knows? She might have
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: gotten sperm. Who even knows if her two kids with
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: him are... Whatever. And who knows if they even go
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: by Weinstein anymore because he's like in prison. But, you know,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: and Weinstein would bully all of his actresses to wear
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: her dresses when she was like trying to be a designer.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: And now she's still drop-dead gorgeous and now with an
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Oscar– two-time Oscar winner who is like a father to
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the kids. I mean talk about someone that just– I
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: mean how– Must have– A real something about her to
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: get men. I don't know.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: I don't know how old she was when she met Harvey.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Clearly he's a monster.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I remember just seeing them at the Oscars and I
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: remember her hair being darker at that time.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: He's a monster.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: And her being like, and I remember going, God, like,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: how do you tell yourself like this is who you're
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: in love with? I remember thinking that. I mean, who knows?
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: But my heart goes out to her. My heart goes
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: out to her. He's a monster. He's obviously manipulated and abused,
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: you know, so many people. It's like, I'm just glad
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: she's in a better place.
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: We'll see.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: What did she know? Who knows?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: Liz Osten. Good for her. Good for her. And it
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: was one of my predictions from over two years ago.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: The minute I heard about- If she's happy, I'm happy.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I said, watch- Lizzo's going to get thin and people
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: are going to get pissed. And they're going to say,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I thought you said you loved your body. Yeah, that
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: was your body. And you should love your body every time.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: However you look.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: You should be grateful that you could walk. You should
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: be grateful that you could breathe. But are you then
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: want to change it five years later because the ability
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: that you have the ability to and then you like
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: it and.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: There's a difference between self-love and the willingness to like
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: make your life better if you think it's possible.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Liz wasn't walking around listening to your doctor. Everybody needs
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: to be fat. Eat that. No, she was like, this
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: is me.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: And I love me.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: And I'm going to dance around and do the float,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: the flute. And I still love me. And there's nothing
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: wrong with body positivity. It didn't go away. But yeah,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: a lot of people that were, you know, that was
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: a trend and they were using. Yeah. Some of them
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: are smaller today. So what? This was kind of interesting
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: and this came from Archive Kardashian. They put together a
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: video of when Kylie Jenner was with Travis Scott, the
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: father of her two kids, and he lost the Grammy
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: and they show him and he just ignores her and
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: walks away angrily. And she's in this gown like trying
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: to find him. And then they cut to her current boyfriend,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Timothee Chalamet, when he lost the Oscar and how loving
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: and sweet and gracious he was to her. And I just,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I'm so happy she's with him. I'm like loving this relationship.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: And I think the next, since they went from athletes
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: to now Oscar contenders, the next single Kardashian obviously has
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: to go for like a major politician.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Well, it's almost like- I think that.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Is the goal is to get into the White House,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: either as a wife or that person.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: I don't know about Travis Scott or whatever. I know
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: he's had that Astroworld controversy and blah, blah, blah. But like,
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: Timmy seems like he's really happy and grateful to be
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: in this relationship. Yeah. And it wouldn't blow my mind
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: if Travis maybe, like, didn't act as, you know.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Grateful, so to speak. And I think, yeah, I think
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: now that Kylie's older, more mature, like, you know, she's
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: making different decisions. She's able to, you know, like, oh, like,
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: this guy never even cared about me, liked me in
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: the past. And, like, this guy treats me like a
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: fucking queen.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: And throughout the whole, like, time, she's just been, like, so...
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Beautiful and gracious. I love it. Okay, let's talk about
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: the Alex Cooper of Call Her Daddy and Alex Earle
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: from TikTok fame.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: And let's squeeze in Matt James and Rachel McConnell.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Okay, controversy, which is Alex Cooper took on Alex Earle
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: to be part of her Unwell podcast or Sirius lineup,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: which seemed great. But she has since said, Alex Earle
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: has left the network and I have no rights to
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: that podcast. Hot mess. And we don't know where the
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: hot mess podcast is going to land. So people are speculating.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Neither have spoken anything about it negatively about each other,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: which is wise. And what happened? Now, a couple of
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: things that happened is Super Bowl happened and Alex Cooper
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: was having a big party for her Unwell Network and
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Alex Earle was in The town and didn't come. Just
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: blew off the Super Bowl party. But also, you know, so.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: And in two Super Bowl commercials.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Right. So obviously she's part of her network. They're in
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the town. I'm Alex Cooper. I would feel a little
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: snubbed if she couldn't at least pop by for a
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: half hour and take some photos and do what influencers do.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't think that's why.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: So this is what I think.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I think that they were friends and they were excited.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: And I think two things. I don't know that Alex
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Earl is loving doing a podcast. I think not everyone
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: is great at podcasting. I think she's gorgeous. I think
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: she's fun to watch. I think she can be a model.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I think she's dating a cute football player. Talking and
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: telling stories is not everybody's jam. So she might have
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: been complaining. She might not have been liking it that much.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Alex Cooper may have been giving her advice of like
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: a direction to go that she didn't want to go.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: And I think Alex Cooper being 30, already having a
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: breakup with Sophia F., was like, you know what? I
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: am not. going to have this go any further. And
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I'm not going to be perceived as Cruella DeVille, who
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: like fucking Miranda from, you know, Devil Wears Prada, who
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: is like firing, like, let's just call it a day
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: and let's not speak negatively about each other. You go
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: do your podcast wherever you want to go. I have
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: $ 200 million, no sweat off my back.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: That's that.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: And that's what I think happened. And I think Alex
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Earl is probably like, okay, like, You know, and it
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: just didn't work out. But because it's two beautiful blonde women,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: people want to make it think it was a bigger thing.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: I couldn't agree more. I don't think it's that deep. Right.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: I know Alex Cooper. I don't know Alex Earle at all.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Alex Cooper is all business. She's a businesswoman. And, you know,
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: like Alex, you know, I have a podcast network. Alex
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: is obviously bigger than mine. But, you know, she– People
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: I sign, I want them to love podcasting. You know
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: what I'm saying? That's the number one quality when I'm
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: looking for talent to sign and come on my show.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: When I get pitched, I want to know that they
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: love doing this versus like, is this like some sort
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: of side project that you're adding to the million things
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: that you're doing? Because everyone's doing it and everyone thinks
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: it's easy. And you're right. Podcasting is hard. And we
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: get in on these mics every week and we give
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: our opinions and thoughts and we share a little bit
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: of our lives. And we leave that are open for
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: people to pick it apart, nitpick it, whatever. And like,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: she's doing her thing, you know, Alex Earl, she, you know, on,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: on the internet. And I think, I think it just
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: became a, like, I think Alex is more like your
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: heart's just not into it. She's kind of, you know,
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: whether she was a diva or not, it was just
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: more like, you're kind of too much work and you
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: have your own thing going on. You're doing Superbowl commissions
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: and let's just like, this is part ways because all
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: the other people she's signing right now are probably maybe
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: more passionate about it. It's their thing.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: And also really classic for her to be like, take it.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: I don't want any rights to it, which is like,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you know, what, what I've talked about previously with my
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: first podcast wasn't the case with me. So it's like,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: to me, that is like a very classy move.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: And Dave did the same thing for her, you know,
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: it was like, so yeah, I don't think it's that deep.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: I think it was just more like, your heart's not
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: in it. I want people to be in it. And like,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: you never want to ask people to record or show
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: up and you don't want to track them down and
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: you don't want to push them to like lean in.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: And I just, like you said, I just don't think
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: podcasting was Al Curl's thing.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: If you're getting multiple Super Bowl commercials in one Super
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Bowl and you're like getting all these incredible opportunities that
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Alex Earl is getting. She's like, I don't need this shit.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Also, it might be the one thing, and I don't
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: know because I haven't listened to it, but I haven't
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: heard like a lot of buzz or that it's that great.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I have heard it's a little boring, Alex Earl's podcast.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: So it might be the one thing that she read first,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: the first bit of negativity.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: That she's gotten since she's been doing.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: This for three years. And she's like, fuck, this gives
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: me an icky feeling. This makes me not want to
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: do this. Modeling. Doing a cute video with my boyfriend
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: about our night out.
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: Get ready for me, whatever.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Going to a wedding. That I get so much love for.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: And you should do the things that bring you joy.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Don't be doing it. Yeah, Alex Cooper firing Alex early
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: because she didn't show up to her party? I don't
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: think so.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: No. Kourtney Kardashian, really quickly, there was a rumor going
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: around that Mason Disick, her son, had a one-year-old daughter
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: named Piper. And it started because there was supposedly a fake,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: his fake Insta, the coordinates matched with their home in
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Hidden Hills. And I talked about it on my Patreon Friday,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: and I'm like, I don't believe this is true, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I do think this is a rumor that she will address.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: And she did. Courtney addressed it. It's absolutely not true.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: He does not have a child. It's a complete made-up thing.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Someone made up the fake Finsta, the whole thing, all fake. Okay,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: now the last thing I want to talk about, because
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I was kind of fascinated, being that you are a
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: former bachelor was Matt James has since, he was the
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: one that was a bachelor with Rachel Kirkconnell. He broke
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: up with her, you know, and then before she plain
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: even landed, he posted that we'd broken up. I talked
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: about it on the show. He has since deleted that
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: post and he's in Kenya by himself asking for, you know,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: African One-way ticket. Yeah. One-way ticket, African recommends. Now, tell
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: me what you think of all of this, being that
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you're a bachelor.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: I'm kind of fascinated by it.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I was so fascinated by it.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: For one, I'm really happy for Rachel. And that's mostly
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: because for people who don't remember, like when Matt was
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: the bachelor and all, that was when Chris Harrison got fired.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: She was a sacrificial lamb.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Totally.
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: I agree.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: And it was disgusting.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: That's exactly what I said.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: What the show did to her and Matt. Yes. They
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: both like.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: They made them have to fake that they weren't together.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: Correct.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: It was disgusting.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: They literally could not be together in the public eye
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: because they were like, she went to this party at
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: 18 and therefore you're black. You can't be with her.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: And I was like, this is 2021 or whatever. All
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: because Chris Harrison ran his mouth.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: And defended her.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Sure. Yeah, whatever.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: I don't want to relitigate that. I can tell you
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: that he wasn't going to get fired for that. I
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: know that for sure.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Who was not going to get fired?
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: Chris Harrison. He got fired because he lawyered up.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: After that interview.
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: And had he not lawyered up, I think, well, I know.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: I know that ABC was not planning on firing him
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: initially after that. After the whole Rachel, Lindsay interview.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: Did they approach you to take over?
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: No, but I did like pitch myself as like, hey,
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: like I had a meeting.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: There was a time where you showed up and did
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: like half a show or something.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: I hosted a date once. That's pretty typical. I know.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I remember I came on the show and I said
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Chris Harrison should be shaking in his boots.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: Oh, thanks. I did the same thing you did. It
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: was actually the same season. I don't know.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: I felt like you did more than that. Like, okay,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I felt like you ran more of a show.
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: I never thought they would be interested in me. But
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: I was just like, hey, you know, I kind of
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: pitched myself. And I knew it was like, and Rob
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Mills was very gracious to take a meeting with me
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: and make me feel like it was a real meeting.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: But I think they had already landed on Jesse. Okay.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: And I honestly think Jesse was the perfect replacement because
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: when it comes to what that show is, he's great.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: So I love that Rachel's kind of getting the Ariana
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Maddox treatment in a way where she's like getting this
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: like all these new campaigns because, you know, after the
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: AFR back in the day, she didn't get anything. She
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: didn't get to enjoy the experience of what it was
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: like to be the winner of a show. She got
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: treated like, I mean, it was, again, disgusting what happened
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: to her. So I love that she is now getting
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: all this. That all being said, the way that like
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Matt is being treated because he lacked a little tact.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: During a breakup. And it's like, Jesus Christ, you know,
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: it's like when you compare like the Paige DeSorbo and
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Craig breakup versus this, it's like, show me the difference.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: You know, like definitely I think Matt was like weird
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: about it. The whole like prayer. It was all kind
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: of weird. But like, I don't know. I honestly think
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: the nicest thing you can do to someone you're breaking
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: up with is make it easy to hate them. Make
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: it easy to hate you. You know, it's real selfish
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: when you're like, I don't know. Like, we'll see what
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: happens in the future. And I still love you. You're like,
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: don't tell me you still love me when you're breaking
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: up with me. You know, it's just confusing as fuck.
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: I don't know. Like, so like, I don't know.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: And in doing that by making it so, I mean,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: it was horrible.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: I don't think he deserves praise for it. I mean,
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: he lacked tack. It was weird and kind of like
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: heartless and selfish and like, I don't know, but like.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: But yeah, it's definitely, she's definitely going to be.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: He broke up with her.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: That girl that like, you know, six months or a
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: year from now. And I think, you know, other, Alex
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: Cooper said this too when she interviewed her. You're going
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to look back and you're going to really realize, what
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: was I doing? I was making myself into a peg,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: trying to get into a circle or whatever it is. Really,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I don't think that she was getting what she needed
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: from it.
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: Think about the trauma she must have experienced during that
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: whole AFR.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: What's AFR?
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: After the final rose.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: All right. The whole thing where they crucified her.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: And then he goes, will you give her a hug?
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: And he's like, no. Yeah.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: I mean, that's disgusting. And she just sits there. So
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: imagine that trauma that she had to face. Like, I
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: would imagine there was probably a lot of fear of
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: her leaving that relationship for fear of what people might
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: say about her if she were to break up with Matt.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: And God forbid the accusations people would throw her away
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: if she left that relationship. So I'm assuming in a
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: lot of ways she maybe felt stuck or didn't know
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: what to do. I mean it was.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Horrific what they did to her. I want to know
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: what's going to happen with his eating thing, with all–
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: eating all the food because it was always her perfect
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: little cute face that would keep me watching the video.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: It's her being like.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: He'll have to rediscover himself.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm like– and I felt like she was
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: just being used just like a mom uses her kid
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: in the family vlogs and knows that if the kid
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: is in the– thumbnail it gets more views than herself
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: and i mean they went back and like they were
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: like she's like oh my god this is so beautiful
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: like you're like at a mexican hotel and he goes
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: you want to go swimming she goes maybe after lunch
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: and then he just pushes her in the water and
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: like just those little insensitive things that like You look
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: back and she didn't love it. She didn't love it then.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: She didn't think it was funny then.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: He probably wasn't a great boyfriend. And she probably didn't
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: feel confident enough to stand up for herself at times
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: because of the power dynamic in their relationship and all
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: that shit that she had to go through.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: But yeah.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: What about The Bachelor now? Are you watching it all now?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Do you still cover it at all?
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we still cover it definitely less and less. I mean, like,
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: it's just not what it used to be.
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: Now they get the hometowns in six weeks versus nine.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: That's less episodes. It's like, I don't know, what are
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: we doing?
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: The budget just got cut.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: We have no budget.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: You know, like, I thought it was back after Joey.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: You know, and then, I don't know.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: There's too much other great content out there in terms
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: of Love competition shows. Hard to watch Love Island and
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: then come back and watch The Bachelor and be like,
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: I'm not as entertained.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: You got movie night on Love Island where they're like
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: maybe fucking someone else. And now it's just like you
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: interrupted on The Bachelor. Who gives a fuck?
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: And it's all the same verbiage. Like they never like
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: really updated the move. And for me. That's the thing.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: They don't.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: Like the guys. I mean, now it's just it's just
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: all too young. It's like coming too close to my
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: kids own ages. But even in the last five years,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: it's like the guy, they changed it. Like, I was into, like,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: that kind of, like, frat type of guy. And then
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: it just wasn't. And I was like, I can't even
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: watch this. And I just, I lost interest.
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: And they have internal drama going on over there. And
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: I don't know if you've heard that stuff. Can you share?
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: I mean. It was like a Game of Thrones. A
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: lot of people I used to know who ran the
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: show have been like kind of pushed out or left
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: or gotten fired. And like, you know, there's a lot
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: of shakeups when, you know, Mike Fleiss, who, by the way,
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: is like still very much involved, but no one talks about,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: you know, after he left and things like that. That's
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: like a worst kept secret. And yeah, I think there's
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: just a lot of hurt feelings and it's a lot
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: of politics.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Are the Golden and Golden Bachelorette coming back?
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: Those are.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: I think that's, I mean, that's right now they're bread
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: and butter. I mean, it's crazy the fact that they...
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: have paused Bachelorette. That's not a good sign for the
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: franchise itself. But I think part of it has to
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: do with they're trying to bring back Paradise. I think Paradise,
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: they're trying to lean into that and kind of like
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: capture like, you know, what's going on at Love Island.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: And I think that's the closest thing to that. And
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: then they have Golden franchise, which has been like their
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: only real shining light recently. So I think they're leaning
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: into that and I guess we'll see.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I mean, God, I mean, what a success regardless. Well, okay. Everybody,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: if you don't know about your podcast, can you tell them?
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: It's The Vile Files. We're on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: most weeks. Definitely every Tuesday and Thursday for our reality recaps.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: And we talk a lot of reality TV and Bravo
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: and pop culture.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: We didn't even get to like half of the stuff
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I had with you.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: Well, Heather is going to come on our show and
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: we'll talk more. And it's so fun to see you.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: We'll get into all the things that we didn't cover.
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: Thanks for having me on. I love your show.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: If I can pay you a compliment, there's not a
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: lot of people out there whose, like, opinions and advice
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: I listen to and respect, and yours is definitely one
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: of them. I just, like, you know, having a family,
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: me and Natalie getting married and having a kid, like,
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: at the end of the day, like, you look like
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: you have an amazing life and you have this family that, like,
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: it's all you really care about, you know, other than,
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: you know, and, like, that's what I want. That's what
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Natalie and I want. And, like, you know, your advice
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: matters to me.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Oh, it's just... No, I love it. I love it.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: I'm so happy that you guys are doing so well.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: If you ever get a chance to meet Justin Baldoni,
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: I promise you, you'll never think that Blake Lively could
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: have fallen in love with him.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Okay. Wow.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: Wow. Have you ever been like gotten the ick from
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: great looking men being in the same room after like
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: they just kind of are themselves for 10 minutes?
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I said I feel like he might be like a
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: close talker.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: He's far worse than that. He's a creep.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: All right. That's your opinion.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: That is definitely my opinion. Don't sue me, Justin Baldoni.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: Thank you. Everybody go to heathermcdonald.net. Enjoy my Patreon. Thank you.
