Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe and Angie.
- 0:03Speaker 1: And do you remember yesterday Angie, we learned about Bryson,
- 0:07Speaker 1: who was the Finley Sharon Public School graduate.
- 0:11Speaker 2: He was one of one.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 0:13Speaker 4: He was the only person in his graduating class.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I have some great news. After dming, emailing, texting,
- 0:23Speaker 1: phone calls, and leaving messages, I was not able to
- 0:27Speaker 1: track down Bryson. But I was able to track down Byron.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Byron was also a one of one graduate. He just
- 0:35Speaker 1: graduated a couple of years ago.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Oh okay, how come we never heard about Byron Byron?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Well we do have Byron on the phone. Byron, how
- 0:43Speaker 2: you doing, man?
- 0:43Speaker 5: Well, like you said, I mean, this guy's getting all
- 0:46Speaker 5: this news coverage and whatnot, and it's like I did this.
- 0:50Speaker 5: I mean, you're standing on the shoulders of giant Bryson
- 0:55Speaker 5: because I paid the way for you, junior.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Oh well, you clear you feel a way about this.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Well, you know, it's it's not it's not easy when
- 1:04Speaker 5: you're you're the only graduate of your class. I mean,
- 1:07Speaker 5: and I just feel like I could have got a
- 1:09Speaker 5: little write up in the paper. I could have got
- 1:12Speaker 5: you know something. But I got the typical you know,
- 1:15Speaker 5: graduation diploma thingy, which, by the way, is it worth
- 1:19Speaker 5: the paper it's printed on? Nonetheless, that's all I got.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Okay, right, okay, Well you have.
- 1:25Speaker 4: A platform now on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 1:27Speaker 4: Morning show, So why don't you tell us a little
- 1:30Speaker 4: bit about your experience as one of one You were
- 1:35Speaker 4: just the only person in your graduating class in the school.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yeah, so, I you know, I just kind of I
- 1:42Speaker 5: kind of ran things, Angie. You know, I'm I was
- 1:46Speaker 5: kind of in charge. I was a vallevictorian, not because
- 1:51Speaker 5: not because I was a whiz kid brainiac, but because
- 1:54Speaker 5: they graded on a curve.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Oh god, I don't mean to laugh, Byron. I'm sorry.
- 2:01Speaker 5: You know, I've dealt with this for years. I'm over
- 2:02Speaker 5: it now and I can talk about it without, you know,
- 2:04Speaker 5: with a lot of therapy. I've gone, I'm fine, don't
- 2:07Speaker 5: worry about that. But I mean the kind of cool thing,
- 2:10Speaker 5: Angie is I'm all over the yearbook. I mean, if
- 2:12Speaker 5: you take a look at that yearbook, look there's me
- 2:14Speaker 5: at four h there's me as you know, class president,
- 2:18Speaker 5: and then you know voted most likely too. I mean,
- 2:20Speaker 5: you name it. I that was me, most most likely
- 2:24Speaker 5: to to be president, most likely to succeed. They had.
- 2:27Speaker 5: The best part was they had they took a picture
- 2:30Speaker 5: of me and I'm holding my right hand up by
- 2:32Speaker 5: my face and and they they put the subtitle cutest couple,
- 2:37Speaker 5: and I thought that way, you know. But so so
- 2:42Speaker 5: there's some benefits, there's some there were some downsides, like
- 2:44Speaker 5: prom sucked?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Why what happened at prom?
- 2:48Speaker 2: None to ask?
- 2:49Speaker 5: I mean, my mom's an amazing dancer, she really is.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Obviously I was the prom king, which was a great honor,
- 2:56Speaker 5: but uh, mom didn't win prom. Queen Doug the janitor did, which,
- 3:02Speaker 5: by the way, he in heels was like six foot eight.
- 3:07Speaker 5: It was really, I mean, it was pretty impressive.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Now, Byron, I have a question for you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Growing up, for us, when it was our birthday, we
- 3:16Speaker 1: would bring, you know, treats or candy or something to
- 3:19Speaker 1: pass out to the other kids in the class on
- 3:22Speaker 1: your birthday? Did you would you like stop and grab
- 3:27Speaker 1: a single donut for four D six cents?
- 3:30Speaker 6: Like?
- 3:30Speaker 1: What did you do for our birthdays? In a one
- 3:32Speaker 1: of one graduating class?
- 3:34Speaker 5: Every day was my birthday? Honestly, I just would stop.
- 3:38Speaker 5: I would stop and grab a donut at the bakery.
- 3:40Speaker 5: And you know, if I wanted to celebrate, I would
- 3:43Speaker 5: celebrate some days. You know, I'll be honest, there's a
- 3:45Speaker 5: little bit of teen angst. And I didn't want to celebrate.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I didn't want to look. I don't want to even
- 3:48Speaker 5: look at that donut or that pastry or whatever. I
- 3:51Speaker 5: decided to celebrate on that particular day that wasn't my birthday,
- 3:54Speaker 5: but I could pretend it was because nobody knew.
- 3:57Speaker 4: That's what he was there, right iron I did want
- 4:01Speaker 4: to ask you this, what was your experience with bullying
- 4:04Speaker 4: in high school?
- 4:06Speaker 5: This? This is I've got to watch myself because I
- 4:09Speaker 5: get a bit emotional because you know, as I mentioned,
- 4:11Speaker 5: I was the Valle Victorian, and so you know, I
- 4:15Speaker 5: would say some smart stuff and the other side of me,
- 4:18Speaker 5: the jock part of me, would bully me and say, hey, nerds,
- 4:21Speaker 5: stop staying stop you stop staying nerd stuff, and and
- 4:25Speaker 5: I'm like, hey, you jock, and I'd say something really smart,
- 4:30Speaker 5: and the jock part of me would get really upset
- 4:33Speaker 5: because he didn't understand. He thought it was making them,
- 4:35Speaker 5: And then I would stuff myself on a locker.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you can't.
- 4:39Speaker 5: You can't go through four years of that. So you've
- 4:42Speaker 5: got to combat bullying. So what I did is I
- 4:46Speaker 5: you got to step up to a bully. So I honestly, Ange,
- 4:49Speaker 5: I just I just punched myself in my own mouth.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 5: That ended it right there.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It sounds like early one sided conversation, that's for sure.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Well, I guess you had to be there.
- 4:58Speaker 3: But well, Byron, I really I appreciate Gabe it.
- 5:01Speaker 4: I both really appreciate you reaching out and letting us
- 5:04Speaker 4: know what this experience was like, being the only person
- 5:07Speaker 4: in your class because Bryson wouldn't return our call.
- 5:11Speaker 2: No, yeah Bryson or no, sorry, this is the other one. Byron.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We really really appreciate are you talking and hanging out
- 5:17Speaker 1: with us here this morning. Thank you for sharing that experience,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and we're really glad we got to give you that
- 5:22Speaker 1: platform to just get some of that off your chest.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I know, being one of one is probably a lot
- 5:26Speaker 1: tougher than it might seem.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Thank you so much, the two of you for letting
- 5:30Speaker 5: me talk about my experience.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I appreciate it anytime, except for no, just this time, and.
- 5:41Speaker 1: We're gonna go ahead and start the show off with
- 5:43Speaker 1: some positivity, some little victories, which we do want to encourage.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Hey, if you ever have a little victory, it can.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Be something as tiny as you successfully baked a frozen pizza.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Do you bake frozen pizza?
- 5:58Speaker 3: You just put it in the oven?
- 5:59Speaker 7: Does that count.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Baked bacon because you hit the bake button in Yeah.
- 6:04Speaker 1: If that's your little victory and you want to share it,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we want to hear it. At seven oh one two
- 6:08Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven. Do you have a
- 6:10Speaker 1: little victory, Angie?
- 6:11Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I started taking melotone in this week and it's actually
- 6:16Speaker 4: helped me sleep. I've been having, wow, such a hard
- 6:18Speaker 4: time sleeping lately, and for no reason other than I
- 6:21Speaker 4: just didn't think to I didn't think to use melatonin.
- 6:25Speaker 4: And my boyfriend was in town and he bought me
- 6:29Speaker 4: a thing of gummy melatonins and he was.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Like, are we sure those gumm'd? I'm just kidding.
- 6:36Speaker 3: He wasn't in Morehead in Fargo.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I'm just kidding.
- 6:41Speaker 4: So he Yeah, he was like, why don't you just
- 6:43Speaker 4: take these before bed and see if they work?
- 6:47Speaker 2: And they work?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Oh, So all I had to.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Do was just get melotonin, which you hear about forever.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I don't know why I didn't think to do it,
- 6:54Speaker 3: but I did it. I feel good, rested, and I
- 6:59Speaker 3: had some very.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Dreams, really like vivid, really vivid, weirdo dreams. But you
- 7:05Speaker 4: know what, I'll take those weird o dreams if it
- 7:07Speaker 4: means I'm getting sleep.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that means you're really in those ram Yes, stages
- 7:12Speaker 1: are cycles.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I don't know what they're called, but yeah, the rem cycle.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well, good for you. I'm glad that that worked.
- 7:18Speaker 1: A well rested, a clean haired Angie today.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Oh that's our only you noticed I washed my hair.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Oh.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I try my best.
- 7:25Speaker 3: You're a good co host game. Do you do? You
- 7:28Speaker 3: have a little victory?
- 7:29Speaker 2: I do have a little victory. So we've talked about
- 7:32Speaker 2: this a little bit.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But this summer before September one, I have this goal
- 7:38Speaker 1: of biking one hundred miles.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Oh that's right.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Now, we're still I'm still kind of in the process
- 7:42Speaker 1: of seeing if this will be too easy, which I'm
- 7:45Speaker 1: kind of learning it might be, so I might up
- 7:47Speaker 1: this number, but we'll see. I think i'm like a
- 7:50Speaker 1: third of the way there already, and it's not Oh wow, yeah,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'm pretty close to a third of the way, so
- 7:55Speaker 1: I might up it. But yesterday I did one of
- 7:58Speaker 1: the longest I don't know what you want to call it,
- 8:01Speaker 1: bike sessions that I've ever done, which was and this
- 8:05Speaker 1: isn't some massive number, but it was seven miles. But
- 8:09Speaker 1: my goal was, all right, I want to try to
- 8:10Speaker 1: do this in under thirty minutes, which means, you know,
- 8:13Speaker 1: you got to like pedal hard most of the time
- 8:16Speaker 1: and you don't want to coast. And I did it
- 8:18Speaker 1: in under thirty minutes. I think I could have done
- 8:20Speaker 1: it in under twenty five, but I kind of got
- 8:24Speaker 1: stuck around some lights and some traffic and cars, so
- 8:27Speaker 1: I had to like really slow down and break in
- 8:29Speaker 1: manew year round stuff for a minute there. But I
- 8:32Speaker 1: think I found kind of a nice loop to really
- 8:34Speaker 1: knock off some miles. If I ever feel behind, I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: seven miles yesterday, yeah, which it was really fun.
- 8:43Speaker 2: It was great.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I will tell you though, the coming it'd be going
- 8:47Speaker 1: south on University dead into the wind.
- 8:51Speaker 2: It was horrible, but I was glad I did it.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And you know, we went pretty far, so we're just
- 8:58Speaker 1: going to try to increase that at some point.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I want to do it like twice.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Oh, that's fourteen miles and I'll really really knock out
- 9:05Speaker 1: some of these.
- 9:05Speaker 4: So exciting, Gabe, because I know how big a deal
- 9:09Speaker 4: it is for you. Anytime you get anything for your bike,
- 9:13Speaker 4: you do anything regarding your bike, you send me a
- 9:16Speaker 4: picture or a text and you hashtag it bike community
- 9:21Speaker 4: And I love this, right, and so I love that
- 9:24Speaker 4: you got these seven miles in. Look at you and Gabe,
- 9:27Speaker 4: really embracing this cycling world.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Yes, we're gonna try to do it again today. If
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm up to you might try to get to ten.
- 9:34Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's just weird to like, if you don't plan the route,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you're kind of just riding.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's nice in my head to have a plan.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And now that I actually have a plan and I
- 9:45Speaker 1: know the distance, that's something I could do every day.
- 9:48Speaker 1: That is, you know, somewhat challenging, and it is a
- 9:50Speaker 1: good amount of time to be on your bike riding
- 9:52Speaker 1: and all that cardio that comes with it. So very
- 9:55Speaker 1: very cool to be able to do that. And hopefully
- 9:57Speaker 1: we can just cut that time down. I want to
- 9:59Speaker 1: see if I can ad some point get it to
- 10:00Speaker 1: like like fifteen minutes. That would be tough, but we'll
- 10:05Speaker 1: see if we can do it.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Gabe, I think I made an enemy yesterday already.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Yeah, already? Were you waiting for it?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Only been here two months?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you got it?
- 10:22Speaker 2: You start, You got an enemy already. You've been here
- 10:24Speaker 2: for a cup of coffee.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yeah, Well I started a feud, I think and.
- 10:30Speaker 3: My neighbor. I'm pretty sure your neighbor.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Yeah, and I haven't met my neighbors officially on either side.
- 10:37Speaker 3: But this neighbor.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You didn't walk over with a plate of jello and
- 10:41Speaker 2: be like, hey, I'm new.
- 10:42Speaker 4: No.
- 10:42Speaker 3: I wanted them to like me. If I ever, I
- 10:44Speaker 3: would never go with a plate of jello?
- 10:46Speaker 7: What he is? Sorry?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Sorry, but I think I got caught on the ring camera.
- 10:50Speaker 4: They are ring camera talking trash really?
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yes?
- 10:57Speaker 1: So are you do you want to take this moment?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Are you trying to clear the air and apologize?
- 11:02Speaker 4: Absolutely not. I'm henna double down here. No, here's the thing. Okay,
- 11:09Speaker 4: I'm I'm upset that I got caught, for sure, but
- 11:13Speaker 4: I'm not upset with what you said.
- 11:15Speaker 2: No.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I meant everything I said. Here's the issue. They always
- 11:20Speaker 4: have trash out, not when it's trash day, like our
- 11:23Speaker 4: trash day is today. Actually, but a couple of days ago,
- 11:27Speaker 4: their trash was just sitting in the their driveway for
- 11:30Speaker 4: what reason, I don't know, and there was a spell
- 11:34Speaker 4: of like wind and heavy rain for like ten minutes,
- 11:38Speaker 4: and in that ten minutes, their trash can lid blue open,
- 11:43Speaker 4: and all of their trash flew out, unbagged, into my yard.
- 11:49Speaker 4: The way the wind blows is always in the direction
- 11:52Speaker 4: where stuff is.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Landing in my yard.
- 11:55Speaker 4: And normally I wouldn't be so upset about it because
- 11:58Speaker 4: they maybe have an trash out all the time and
- 12:01Speaker 4: it always ends up in my yard, and I never
- 12:02Speaker 4: say anything. This was the straw that broke the camel's
- 12:05Speaker 4: back because it was bathroom trash. So it was toilet paper,
- 12:11Speaker 4: toilet paper rolls. It was gross, and it was raining,
- 12:16Speaker 4: so it was wet toilet paper all.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Over my yard. That's disgusting, Yeah, it is disgusting.
- 12:24Speaker 4: And then I lost my mind, Gabe, so I grabbed
- 12:29Speaker 4: like a plastic bag and I used it as like
- 12:31Speaker 4: a glove, and I'm picking up all of this trash
- 12:35Speaker 4: and I'm like cursing under my breath, and then it's
- 12:37Speaker 4: not under my breath anymore.
- 12:39Speaker 3: I'm like the more I pick up the more I'm.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Like, yes, and I realized though there was part of
- 12:47Speaker 4: the yard, it's a townhome, so we lived pretty close.
- 12:50Speaker 4: At some point, I'm actually just picking up stuff from
- 12:52Speaker 4: their yard too, because I'm in this rage. Can't exactly
- 12:58Speaker 4: I'm like a pringles can, and so I'm picking up
- 13:01Speaker 4: all this stuff and I'm.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Like, there's just always trash everywhere.
- 13:05Speaker 4: They never pick up after themselves, trash, trash all the time.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 13:11Speaker 3: And then they weren't home.
- 13:15Speaker 4: The mom drives up into the driveway and as soon
- 13:19Speaker 4: as she gets out, she says to her husband, who
- 13:21Speaker 4: comes out, we need.
- 13:23Speaker 3: To get a trash bag. And I wunk up. I
- 13:26Speaker 3: think no, I know.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Her ring camera picked up me going, oh, trash everywhere
- 13:33Speaker 4: as I was like picking up the trash, and so
- 13:36Speaker 4: she got the notification. She watched me and heard me
- 13:40Speaker 4: talking all this no pun intended trash, and then she
- 13:45Speaker 4: was like, well, I need a trash bag, But girl,
- 13:48Speaker 4: do you need a trash bag? I just picked it
- 13:49Speaker 4: all up for you anyway. All that to say, I
- 13:52Speaker 4: haven't even officially met my neighbors, but we're feuden.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That is such a funny image. This lady's at work
- 13:59Speaker 1: phone off like ring cam. She's thinking, Oh, it's the
- 14:02Speaker 1: Amazon delivery driver. No, it's this lady I see walking
- 14:05Speaker 1: in and out of her house every day talking just
- 14:07Speaker 1: hella junk YEP. I think that's pretty you know what,
- 14:10Speaker 1: that's kind of hilarious funny.
- 14:14Speaker 4: To you because you don't have to pick up wet
- 14:16Speaker 4: toilet paper for that is gross. Now.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I do think here in you know, the the FM area.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Wind is just a thing. It happens with garbage or whatever.
- 14:26Speaker 1: But there are things you can do to try to
- 14:29Speaker 1: combat your garbage flying everywhere.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You can bag it, as we yes, you can bag it.
- 14:35Speaker 1: You can try to get it out of the way
- 14:38Speaker 1: of the wind until garbage day, you know, the side
- 14:41Speaker 1: of your house. Something that's not guaranteeing that it's gonna
- 14:44Speaker 1: not blow over, but to just have it sitting at
- 14:46Speaker 1: the end of the driveway for happy old wind gusts
- 14:49Speaker 1: to blow over at any point on not garbage day. Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you gotta be a little bit more. You gotta try
- 14:56Speaker 1: to help out your neighbors. Yeah, be a little bit
- 14:57Speaker 1: more mindful of your neighbors.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I have a very long fuse, so I'm not just
- 15:02Speaker 4: this like hot headed whatever because I've let a lot
- 15:05Speaker 4: of these trash incidents go yeah because I'm like, well,
- 15:09Speaker 4: it is windy, it is what it is. But once
- 15:11Speaker 4: it became wet bathroom trash, that is when I lost
- 15:15Speaker 4: my mind.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Well, I want to know, by the way, hey, if
- 15:17Speaker 1: you think Angie is your neighbor, now, let me a
- 15:20Speaker 1: call at seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 15:22Speaker 1: eight seven. I'd really like to get the audio clip
- 15:25Speaker 1: to play here if we can find that, If we
- 15:27Speaker 1: can track that down, that'd be great.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I start.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Listen, Gabe, Sorry, not sorry. There is something that most
- 15:40Speaker 4: people have in their home that I absolutely think is
- 15:43Speaker 4: a waste of space and time, and that is the dishwasher.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Really, the dishwasher. Why does it take three hours?
- 15:54Speaker 2: I love our dishwasher. I've I've given it a name.
- 15:59Speaker 3: What's the dishwak? What's your name?
- 16:01Speaker 2: I didn't really think you're gonna ask me that, but
- 16:03Speaker 2: that's my boy, Carl.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Well sorry, Carl.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I think you're a waste of time and space. I
- 16:10Speaker 4: think they take it takes entirely too long. What is
- 16:13Speaker 4: taking three hours? What is happening inside that dishwasher? Or
- 16:17Speaker 4: little elves coming out and scrubbing the plates, like, what
- 16:19Speaker 4: are you doing in real thorough No, I don't like it.
- 16:22Speaker 4: You also have to rinse things before you put them
- 16:25Speaker 4: in the dishwasher or it comes out looking like trash.
- 16:28Speaker 4: That feels like double work to me. Okay, it makes
- 16:32Speaker 4: no sense. I don't I grew up real poor and
- 16:37Speaker 4: so we didn't have a dishwasher. I would wash everything
- 16:39Speaker 4: by hand, and that's how I like it.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So like that could be anything, that could be more
- 16:46Speaker 3: cabinet space in my house.
- 16:49Speaker 4: But yeah, it's just a big old hunk of junk
- 16:53Speaker 4: that takes like three hours to do, and a lot
- 16:55Speaker 4: of times it doesn't even do a great job. The
- 16:58Speaker 4: dishes are spotty. It's not a good look. I don't
- 17:02Speaker 4: like it. I'm not into it. I can wash the
- 17:04Speaker 4: dishes in like twenty minutes and know for sure that
- 17:07Speaker 4: every fleck of food is going to be gone. I
- 17:09Speaker 4: think it's so pointless. And unloading the dishwasher is a nightmare.
- 17:15Speaker 4: And my kid hates me because that's his job.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's your sure, that's.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Right, So my teenager could love me a little bit more.
- 17:23Speaker 4: If dishwashers were not in existence. I will die in
- 17:26Speaker 4: the hill that they are a waste of time and space.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Well, I'm sure you're not the only person who thinks that.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I bet there's plenty of people who think the dishes
- 17:33Speaker 1: are cleaner when they do them by hand. Yeah, it
- 17:36Speaker 1: sounds like you just need an upgraded dishwasher. Oh man,
- 17:39Speaker 1: let's get like a better one.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Okay, well I'm renting my place.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Well, let us know, are you do you would you
- 17:47Speaker 2: prefer to do the dishes by hand. I'll tell you what.
- 17:49Speaker 2: When I was a kid, that.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Was my least I mean, the least favorite chore because
- 17:56Speaker 1: there's no fast way to do it. You know, there's
- 17:58Speaker 1: no kind of shortcut to clean in the dishes, right.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I hated it as a kid, But I do get
- 18:05Speaker 1: that the dishes are most likely a feel look, probably
- 18:09Speaker 1: are cleaner when you do them by hand.
- 18:11Speaker 2: But when we got our first dishwasher, I was in
- 18:15Speaker 2: third grade. I will never forget it. Third grade.
- 18:18Speaker 1: No longer after dinner was I sitting there with my
- 18:20Speaker 1: little white drying towel.
- 18:22Speaker 2: As my mom and dad were Oh my god, it
- 18:25Speaker 2: was heaven. When I no longer had to do the dishes.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It was great. I love that for little Gabe.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Okay, but if you have to run the dishwasher, you
- 18:34Speaker 4: don't want to run it unless it's full, right, Sure,
- 18:37Speaker 4: it's a waste like it is. And then your dishes,
- 18:41Speaker 4: all of them are in there for three hours, So
- 18:43Speaker 4: what are you gonna eat? You have there's a three
- 18:45Speaker 4: hour window where it's like, I guess I'm not eating.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if I really need one that bad,
- 18:49Speaker 2: I'll just take it out and wash it real quick.
- 18:51Speaker 3: But I don't know.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I don't like this dishwasher impeding my big back activities.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Sometimes animals just go viral on the internet.
- 19:08Speaker 1: There is this duck in Florida who is on one,
- 19:12Speaker 1: and I don't mean in a good way.
- 19:13Speaker 3: What does he do?
- 19:14Speaker 1: We is terrorizing this neighborhood. I don't know if you've
- 19:18Speaker 1: came across this story or not, but he is biting people,
- 19:22Speaker 1: chasing people down.
- 19:23Speaker 2: When the news team got was gonna do this story.
- 19:26Speaker 1: When they arrived, he started chasing at them that this
- 19:30Speaker 1: is not having it.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I am already terrified of birds. Yes, this is my
- 19:36Speaker 4: worst nightmare. Why is this duck out for blood? I
- 19:39Speaker 4: don't like it.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just on one right now. And this reminded me.
- 19:43Speaker 1: There is this what do you call him? Little fruitfoo?
- 19:46Speaker 1: What do you call little bunny foo foo? Little bunny foofo?
- 19:49Speaker 1: There is this rabbit who hangs out in my backyard.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I've named him Fred Who. He doesn't do anything to me,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but he always looks like he's just lingering.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I'm just lingering back there. He's like loitering in my backyard.
- 20:05Speaker 3: And you're against that. Do you think he's just always watching?
- 20:12Speaker 4: You know?
- 20:12Speaker 1: And so I I wanted to know this morning, do
- 20:15Speaker 1: you have a linger? Is there someone? Is there an
- 20:18Speaker 1: animal that's just kind of ticking you off? Hanging out
- 20:21Speaker 1: in your yard?
- 20:22Speaker 4: There's a stray fat cat that, once night falls, Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 4: comes up onto our deck and knocks on the sliding
- 20:31Speaker 4: glass door.
- 20:32Speaker 3: That'd be That's terrifying to me. I don't like it.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Why are you not this morning? I would freak out.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Not good. Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So we asked this question, and there are a lot
- 20:42Speaker 1: of people dealing with some horrible creatures out there.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Yeah, we asked what animal is currently terrorizing your neighborhood
- 20:50Speaker 4: on the Big ninety eight point seven facebook page. What
- 20:53Speaker 4: I love about our listeners is that they do not
- 20:55Speaker 4: disappoint No they don't and letting us know what's what
- 20:59Speaker 4: Connie said, turkeys had to put a fence around our garden.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Girl, I love turkey on Thanksgiving. Hate hate turkeys.
- 21:07Speaker 1: They are so gross and ugly looking and just kind
- 21:10Speaker 1: of scary.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm not a again.
- 21:13Speaker 4: A huge fear of birds over here is so a turkey,
- 21:16Speaker 4: just like you had to put up a fence. Yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 4: because a turkey was terrorizing your yard.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Grouse hate it, Leanna said. Sparrows they dive right at you.
- 21:26Speaker 1: This happened to me once on a golf course. I
- 21:29Speaker 1: was terrified. I had a golf ball like underneath a
- 21:32Speaker 1: tree and I'm sure I thought it was one of
- 21:34Speaker 1: its eggs, and this thing like chase me for a
- 21:36Speaker 1: good fifteen yards.
- 21:37Speaker 3: This is terrible.
- 21:38Speaker 4: See, people always give me crap about the fact that
- 21:40Speaker 4: I'm terrified of birds, but I feel like this is
- 21:42Speaker 4: proving my point.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You know, I wonder where Leanna lives in Fargo. If
- 21:45Speaker 2: I guess that's a West Fargo problem. Interesting, I'm just kidding.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Ah, you're a hater just because you live in South Fargo.
- 21:53Speaker 2: That's right. See, sparrows around my neighborhood.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Really, Allison said, raccoons yuck a little trash pandas yep,
- 22:01Speaker 4: I like raccoons from a distance.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they're fun to admire down the road.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm with you there, Michelle, She said, red
- 22:09Speaker 1: squirrels are jerks. I sit in my home office and
- 22:12Speaker 1: watch the red squirrels chase the gray squirrels. Absolute bullies.
- 22:16Speaker 1: This does sound like an episode of Looney Tunes.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Or something, you know what. That sounds like something I've
- 22:21Speaker 2: seen on a cartoon.
- 22:23Speaker 1: And then finally, Mitchell said cougars, Which that's another thing
- 22:29Speaker 1: and be kind of cool to see.
- 22:30Speaker 2: But where in Fargo are you finding cougars?
- 22:33Speaker 4: I think he's talking about older ladies who are dating
- 22:36Speaker 4: twenty some things.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Oh, Mitchell, what neighborhood do you live in?
- 22:48Speaker 1: There is a lawyer, a real lawyer, who is making
- 22:51Speaker 1: rounds on the internet as this is one of the
- 22:53Speaker 1: most diabolical things I've ever heard. How to get revenge
- 22:57Speaker 1: maybe on a friend, maybe your best he tried getting
- 22:59Speaker 1: at your man, Oh, and you want to get some
- 23:02Speaker 1: revenge on her, or maybe your man cheated and it's
- 23:05Speaker 1: tied that he's now your ex man. Right, you want
- 23:09Speaker 1: to get back at him. Take a listen to this. Now,
- 23:11Speaker 1: we do want a preface, all right, we don't. We
- 23:13Speaker 1: aren't saying go out and do this right, but it's hilarious.
- 23:19Speaker 6: Lady, Before we get started, I have to say that
- 23:21Speaker 6: this is not legal advice, and I strongly recommend against
- 23:25Speaker 6: you doing any of the things I'm about to tell.
- 23:27Speaker 7: You, So listen to your works best.
- 23:28Speaker 6: If you still had access to the victim's home, you're
- 23:32Speaker 6: about to break up with them.
- 23:33Speaker 7: The end is on the horizon, and this is sort
- 23:35Speaker 7: of your last turaf.
- 23:36Speaker 6: They're gonna head on over to your local grocery store
- 23:38Speaker 6: and you're gonna go down to the cleaning supplies aisle.
- 23:41Speaker 6: I want you to get one of those big refillable
- 23:43Speaker 6: spray bottles, and you're gonna mosey on over to the
- 23:45Speaker 6: dairy isle and grab one or two gallons of milk,
- 23:49Speaker 6: depending on.
- 23:49Speaker 7: How big your apartment is. So what you're gonna want
- 23:51Speaker 7: to do.
- 23:52Speaker 6: You're going to fill up your spray bottle with as
- 23:54Speaker 6: much milk as your little heart desires, and you're just
- 23:56Speaker 6: gonna go to town.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Spray that milk on every fabric.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Surface in the apartment, couch, the carpet his clothes.
- 24:03Speaker 7: If you think he's cheating on you in your bed,
- 24:05Speaker 7: I'd say also saturate the mattress.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Could you imagine just there's foul milk everywhere and you
- 24:12Speaker 1: don't know why. Yeah, and you have no clue in
- 24:16Speaker 1: other parts of the house. I mean that is absolutely insane.
- 24:22Speaker 3: That is the kind of petty I aspire to be.
- 24:26Speaker 1: After coming across this video, we asked you what minor
- 24:31Speaker 1: inconvenience would you wish on your worst enemy? If you could, Angie,
- 24:36Speaker 1: what would you do?
- 24:37Speaker 2: Uh?
- 24:38Speaker 7: You know what?
- 24:38Speaker 4: When I'm in traffic and someone like cuts me off,
- 24:42Speaker 4: I get really mad and I come up with all
- 24:44Speaker 4: kinds of things I wish. The favorite right now is
- 24:48Speaker 4: you know what, I hope your kids don't call you
- 24:50Speaker 4: on your.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Birthday where you're gonna go with that?
- 24:56Speaker 3: I wanted to ruin their birthday.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 4: I don't want anybody to get a an accident or die.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I just want you to feel bad.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 1: If I could have a minor inconvenience for my worst enemy,
- 25:07Speaker 1: you know what I'd want? What Every single time they
- 25:10Speaker 1: go in their kitchen, everything in it is rearranged, so
- 25:15Speaker 1: the drawer that your silverware is in is moved, the
- 25:19Speaker 1: bowls are different, the pots and pans are different. Every
- 25:22Speaker 1: time you exit your kitchen, it magically rearranges the entire
- 25:27Speaker 1: setup and you are stuck looking in every drawer, every
- 25:32Speaker 1: cabinet for all of eternity.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Gabe, I have a new found respect for you that
- 25:37Speaker 4: I didn't know I would ever unlock.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I thank you.
- 25:40Speaker 3: That's genius.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Yeah, not illegal, not dangerous, not gonna hurt anybody, Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: but convenience. So upset dealing with that. What were the
- 25:49Speaker 1: people saying on Facebook games?
- 25:51Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, so someone put no batteries for the
- 25:55Speaker 4: Roku remote.
- 25:56Speaker 3: I like that.
- 25:57Speaker 2: That was Paul, Paul. That's a good one. Getting up
- 25:59Speaker 2: to actually change the television yuck.
- 26:02Speaker 4: No, I don't well because also with the TVs you
- 26:04Speaker 4: have to do that, like caressing of the TV just
- 26:07Speaker 4: to find the buttons.
- 26:09Speaker 3: If you don't have the remote, it's a disaster.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Sherry said, a flat tire, that's classic, simple.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I like it. Sherry.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Barb said, oh no, sorry, not Barb. Marlisa said, broken
- 26:24Speaker 4: cell phone suck.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I like that. That'd be tough to deal.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Yeah, a broken cell phone just at any random point
- 26:31Speaker 4: you go to use your phone in.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Oh it's not working.
- 26:34Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I like it. I like it a lot.
- 26:37Speaker 4: And then uh oh, I think, Gabe, I think you're
- 26:40Speaker 4: gonna love this one.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Leanna.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yep, Leanna right here will get your legs in the
- 26:47Speaker 1: best shape of all time. You're gonna absolutely hate this,
- 26:51Speaker 1: Leanna said, no toilet's see imagine having to now.
- 26:57Speaker 2: It only affects me about half the time.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I suppose, yeah, but that half the time is very important.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Gabe, Man, get the tissues ready here today. I'm almost
- 27:11Speaker 1: getting a little emotional reading this before I.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Even read it.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Okay, this is.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Such a beautiful story about a brother and a sister.
- 27:18Speaker 1: These siblings, Aaron and Daniel, competed in the thirty second
- 27:23Speaker 1: cap Text Triathlon together, marking an emotional milestone in their
- 27:29Speaker 1: shared journey. Daniel uses a wheelchair due to lasting damage
- 27:34Speaker 1: from childhood leukemia, and he was carried through the entire
- 27:39Speaker 1: race by his sister, who was also his bone marrow donor.
- 27:43Speaker 1: This was Aaron's forty seventh triathlon, but her first with
- 27:48Speaker 1: her brother by her side. She says that she trained
- 27:51Speaker 1: specifically for the physical demands of carrying him, and she
- 27:55Speaker 1: wanted to make sure, not only a because she carry him,
- 27:57Speaker 1: but she could carry him safely the race and of
- 28:00Speaker 1: the seven hundred and fifty meters swim, a twelve point
- 28:02Speaker 1: three mile bike ride, and a three point one mile
- 28:05Speaker 1: run with support from volunteers and family members, including Aaron's
- 28:08Speaker 1: husband and son. Daniel expressed deep gratitude for his sister
- 28:13Speaker 1: and said her support has helped him defy the odds
- 28:16Speaker 1: throughout his life. He also credits his young nephew as
- 28:20Speaker 1: a major source of motivation, aspiring to be the best
- 28:24Speaker 1: uncle that he can.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And this is what Aaron had to say about the
- 28:28Speaker 2: whole thing.
- 28:28Speaker 4: If he can beat leukemia and all these other medical commissions,
- 28:32Speaker 4: then I can finish races and I can carry him
- 28:35Speaker 4: through with me.
- 28:36Speaker 1: At the finish line, Aaron called the experience the most
- 28:39Speaker 1: meaningful moment of a racing career and a celebration of
- 28:42Speaker 1: the love and perseverance that defines defines their bond. Daniel
- 28:47Speaker 1: described the sensation of crossing the finish line as feeling
- 28:50Speaker 1: like he was flying, and says the opportunity to compete
- 28:53Speaker 1: complete the race as a team with his.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Sister was priceless.
- 28:58Speaker 1: What a beautiful story, What a beautiful family there.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I have such a nod in my throat.
- 29:04Speaker 1: What a wonderful thing for her to do and then
- 29:07Speaker 1: to just do together. That's just so loving. If you have,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you know, a sibling and you just know that you're
- 29:14Speaker 1: the bonds you have with your siblings are just like
- 29:16Speaker 1: no other. You kind of didn't get to pick each other.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You sort of just have to have.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Each You know exactly what buttons to push together each
- 29:23Speaker 2: other's nerves the most. But uh, for her to do
- 29:26Speaker 2: that and for him to want to be a part
- 29:27Speaker 2: of that out there, I think is just that's beautiful.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Wow, that really hit me in the fields game.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the world's full of nice people. If you can't
- 29:34Speaker 1: find one, you gotta be one.
