- 1:31Speaker 1: record is so gas it's amazing. It's viral as fuck.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Uh where in the EU you're from? Hills right now?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Chino Hills, the Land of the Balls, Land of the Balls. Yep,
- 1:43Speaker 1: in more than one way, Yes, yeah, yep. Yeah. I
- 1:47Speaker 1: wonder if what they do with LeVar Ball's foot once
- 1:49Speaker 1: it gets cut off. Do they like probably buried it?
- 1:51Speaker 1: Do they bury it in Gino Hills or do they
- 1:53Speaker 1: like take it to a taxi derby spot and like
- 1:56Speaker 1: put it up in the high school. You know what
- 1:57Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's like a fucking like a moosehead. You
- 2:01Speaker 1: know it's crazy anyway, man, Yeah, welcome to the show man.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Thank you for having me. Yeah. So, for people who
- 2:07Speaker 1: don't know, you're going Viralin in Cali, right now. You
- 2:11Speaker 1: got this record, I E. I E as sick as fuck.
- 2:14Speaker 1: How long you've been making music.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I've been taking music seriously for since twenty twenty two. Okay,
- 2:19Speaker 2: but I've been making music since I was fifteen.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm twenty three now, so you've been kind of fucking
- 2:23Speaker 1: around with it, but it kind of started to take
- 2:24Speaker 1: off for you recently. Yes, exactly. What was the first song?
- 2:29Speaker 1: The first song I ever made? You're the one that made.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You take it serious? It was my first EP that
- 2:35Speaker 2: I dropped. It's still on my Spotify if you can
- 2:37Speaker 2: scroll down. It's called New Stories EP. And then that
- 2:41Speaker 2: was the EP that everybody fucked with. Yeah, and then
- 2:45Speaker 2: I just and then people started fucking me after that,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and then I just kept going for sure.
- 2:49Speaker 1: What would you say like? Because I feel like when
- 2:51Speaker 1: I hear you, I hear like I hear a lot
- 2:53Speaker 1: of Obviously there's a little Bay influence, some La influence.
- 2:57Speaker 1: What would you grow up listening to?
- 2:58Speaker 2: So actually it's not even what I grew up listening to?
- 3:02Speaker 1: Is the way.
- 3:04Speaker 2: When I first started taking rap seriously, I was roommates
- 3:08Speaker 2: with the dude from Oakland.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so that's my homie shot hip Max.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But he was the one that because when I took
- 3:17Speaker 2: music seriously when I moved to college and then up
- 3:21Speaker 2: north in Money Money Bay. But originally I went to
- 3:27Speaker 2: school thinking I wasn't going to do music anymore.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I was just gonna go to school just get it. Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's almost like when you go to school and you move,
- 3:33Speaker 1: it's like you're kind of just like putting it up
- 3:36Speaker 1: on the mantle and like, Okay, I gotta go get
- 3:38Speaker 1: serious about exactly.
- 3:39Speaker 2: But then my roommate had a mic and then he
- 3:42Speaker 2: was like, if you want to make music, just use
- 3:44Speaker 2: my mic. And then he was from Oakland, so he
- 3:47Speaker 2: showed me a lot of bay Arias ship and then
- 3:50Speaker 2: we were just making songs together for fun.
- 3:52Speaker 1: And then he was like the way he wrapped is
- 3:54Speaker 1: very like Barria.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So it influenced me to kind of match that energy
- 4:01Speaker 2: in that cadence and then I just stuck with it.
- 4:04Speaker 1: That's dope, man, Yeah yeah, And I was I was
- 4:06Speaker 1: going through your ship that you even got like something
- 4:09Speaker 1: like that bounce roll rock is like some old school
- 4:11Speaker 1: like some function. Yeah, you got like a different lot
- 4:17Speaker 1: of different bags you could get in. Yeah, for sure,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I think. So how did this record go viral. Initially
- 4:23Speaker 1: the I E record was it TikTok? It was yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Instagram reels. So I posted it. I hit up the
- 4:32Speaker 1: homie that does videos. We make a little video for
- 4:35Speaker 1: it of me hanging out the window. I don't know
- 4:37Speaker 1: if you've seen that.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You've seen it, yes, yeah, just me hanging out the window.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And then I remember I was I was with the
- 4:43Speaker 2: homie and then my girl, and I was like, I
- 4:45Speaker 2: should just take my shirt off.
- 4:48Speaker 1: And then that's what I feel like made it go. Yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: I mean obviously hanging out the window with no shirt on. Yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's like the the you know, the cream on top
- 4:54Speaker 1: of the ca Yeah, exactly, So recipe for success. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: there you go.
- 4:59Speaker 2: And then because I already feel like the shot itself
- 5:02Speaker 2: was already very dynamic, and then just went crazy and
- 5:06Speaker 2: just to have no shirt on just made it crazier.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So it's crazy because it's like that There's been obviously
- 5:12Speaker 1: artists from the ie that have been like successful, but
- 5:15Speaker 1: like this has got to be the anthem forever. Now.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's like up in the fucking rafters. I feel like
- 5:20Speaker 1: I feel like it's it's up there for sure. It's
- 5:22Speaker 1: among among the top. What else is up there? Blessed
- 5:27Speaker 1: the Bottle, Blessed the Bottle. That's a fact. That's a party.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That's party, classic, party classic right there. That's it's so
- 5:34Speaker 1: funny because Blessed the Bottle is like a record that
- 5:36Speaker 1: like if you probably like Live Past Arizona, you've never heard.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Right, it's a Cali thing, for sure, it's a Cali theme,
- 5:44Speaker 2: but a lot of people think it's from like the
- 5:47Speaker 2: Bay though for sure, like La, people don't really think.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's from the Ie.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So you grew up in Chino Hills, So actually I
- 5:55Speaker 2: was born in La lived in Chino Hills until I
- 5:59Speaker 2: was four basically, and then I grew up in Portland
- 6:03Speaker 2: in Portland Organ.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Oh where the Fetanyel's at?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yes, where the tweakers? Yes, crazy out there, it's.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I've been to Portland a lot. I'm on the radio
- 6:11Speaker 1: out there. Oh, yeah, I've been to Portland. It's it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: fucked up. When did you leave Portland? When I was fourteen?
- 6:18Speaker 1: I was fourteen?
- 6:19Speaker 2: So yeah, So when I first when I moved back,
- 6:23Speaker 2: I live with my grandma now in China Hills. So
- 6:25Speaker 2: when I first moved my grandma, that's when I kind
- 6:27Speaker 2: of like started to experiment with music, right, like writing
- 6:33Speaker 2: songs and stuff, and then it's still on my SoundCloud.
- 6:37Speaker 2: If you go up on my SoundCloud, you can go
- 6:39Speaker 2: scroll down and see all the old stuff.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah. A lot of artists like to deleat that ship,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you know.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but honestly, I think it's good because people can
- 6:49Speaker 2: see how far.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Like if you ever have a Grammy in your
- 6:52Speaker 1: hand one day, like you could go listen to the old.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Ship listening to my very first and it's like sounds terrible,
- 6:59Speaker 2: you know.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Like also kind of like bay Ish, I feel like
- 7:02Speaker 1: Seattle and darn Yeah, you're right, like all the Bay
- 7:05Speaker 1: Area artists be cracking up. There.
- 7:07Speaker 2: A lot of people in Portland like like Sacramento rap, right,
- 7:12Speaker 2: Like Sacramento rap, Bay Area rap. A lot of people
- 7:15Speaker 2: in Portland and like that area like that that that
- 7:17Speaker 2: kind of music for sure.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, I feel like that resonates with them
- 7:21Speaker 1: more than like La rap for you. Uh, when people
- 7:27Speaker 1: listen to your music, do they think you're Mexican? Like
- 7:30Speaker 1: the chingod it's like very much like a fuck immigration anthem.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah in today's climate, yeah, but you're fucking from Indonesia, right,
- 7:42Speaker 1: But if you listen to the song you're talking about,
- 7:44Speaker 1: you want you don't want them to deport your girl? Right,
- 7:47Speaker 1: who's here? Yes, she's she's still here. Good legal, she's legal.
- 7:54Speaker 1: But but sho, it's all the illegals. You know, it's
- 7:59Speaker 1: all illegal. But but did you like because you made
- 8:03Speaker 1: it with zay Sace made the bet? We did? Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 1: we made the whole song. Was that like a just
- 8:07Speaker 1: kind of like inspired exactly with what's happening right now
- 8:10Speaker 1: in the world.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Honestly, So the way that song came about, I originally
- 8:15Speaker 2: I came to Zays's studio with an idea for a beat.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He executed the beat, and.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Then I was with my two homies, uh, my Mexican homies,
- 8:25Speaker 2: and then I just heard one of them say ching amga.
- 8:29Speaker 2: They were just talking about they were just like on
- 8:30Speaker 2: their phones talking about something and they're just like chiing alagra.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And then I just heard it and I was like,
- 8:36Speaker 2: I feel like I got to put that in the song.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And then so if you go into my old music,
- 8:41Speaker 2: I have a song called I Love Asians. So I
- 8:44Speaker 2: was like, I'm gonna just make another song called I
- 8:45Speaker 2: Love Latina's. But then I started with Chicka Lamigra. Then
- 8:50Speaker 2: after I showed it to other people, people just started
- 8:52Speaker 2: calling it chick a lamia, so I just called it that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a great fucking it's an anthem, right, Yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you guys haven't in the video, have you. It's it's shot.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's shot. It's shot.
- 9:02Speaker 2: We're just gonna we're gonna drop it next week, next week,
- 9:05Speaker 2: next probably end of the next week or beginning of
- 9:07Speaker 2: the week after next week.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Have you had any labels knocking, labels like trying to
- 9:13Speaker 1: get at you labels?
- 9:15Speaker 2: No, but managers, yes, yes, yeah, Like I haven't gotten
- 9:19Speaker 2: a direct DM from.
- 9:19Speaker 1: A label yet. That's what's up. But you know, yeah,
- 9:23Speaker 1: it's not a bad thing. We had a rapper here
- 9:24Speaker 1: the other day and he was like, yo, I might
- 9:25Speaker 1: try to sign that kid. Oh yeah, yeah, it's crazy. Yeah.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I was like, oh, interesting, it's crazy. So, I mean
- 9:32Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, would there be I I
- 9:34Speaker 1: E remix being worked on with some other I E artists,
- 9:38Speaker 1: So I have uh an I E remix.
- 9:42Speaker 2: However, the timing is kind of difficult right now with
- 9:46Speaker 2: everything going on.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I just feel like you already have the remix. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: do have the remix oh yes, but a remix. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: have a remix, but I feel like, oh yeah, can
- 9:58Speaker 1: we get you on the mic a little bit? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you can lower it too.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Okay, okay, exactly, Okay, I got you right right here.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Okay, that's what you said, White remix. Yeah.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I feel like, because I just thought about it, this
- 10:16Speaker 2: is like it's going crazy. You know, the ie song
- 10:19Speaker 2: is going crazy. If this is gonna be my song,
- 10:22Speaker 2: then I just wanted to.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Be my song. Well also like it's going crazy for
- 10:26Speaker 1: you and for the people who know. And I feel
- 10:28Speaker 1: like it hasn't like eclipsed, like the fucking where it's
- 10:34Speaker 1: like a thing thing, and I think it's on its way.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So when it becomes that, then you could be like, Okay,
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's almost like when Soak City came out, like Silk
- 10:42Speaker 1: City was like, you know, if you were going to
- 10:44Speaker 1: fucking eighteen and up clubs, you heard it. If you're
- 10:46Speaker 1: on TikTok, you heard it. But when it became like
- 10:48Speaker 1: a fucking thing for reals, when he could drop that
- 10:51Speaker 1: remix remix, only I E artists could be on this though, right.
- 10:56Speaker 2: No, no, yeah, it could be it just like become
- 10:59Speaker 2: my West West coast.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I told somebody, I said, we need somebody in Arizona
- 11:04Speaker 1: to do it, asyzzy. Yeah, that's a good idea. Be cool. Yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to just go drop.
- 11:12Speaker 2: We're planning on dropping a third single soon, so I'm
- 11:15Speaker 2: just trying to drop three singles and then that's when
- 11:19Speaker 2: I would I mean.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I see you doing the shows and they're going crazy
- 11:22Speaker 1: singing sh Yeah. Is it mostly like kids? Yeah?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like college students right, yeah, but I feel like that's
- 11:30Speaker 2: my demographic for sure.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Which college campus are you the most little in what
- 11:33Speaker 1: you say?
- 11:34Speaker 3: Uh?
- 11:35Speaker 1: Locally cap poly Pomona?
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, because because I do a lot of
- 11:40Speaker 2: shows on Pomona and I know a lot of.
- 11:42Speaker 1: People at that school. I still got a lot of
- 11:44Speaker 1: friends there. So have you been to Indonesia ever in
- 11:46Speaker 1: your life? Yes? Last time I went to Indonesia is
- 11:49Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. I wasn't.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I was good.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I heard it's beautiful, it is beautiful. You can't bring
- 11:54Speaker 1: no weed over there. No, Yeah, you get locked up
- 11:56Speaker 1: because the fuck? Yeah yeah, you get locked up. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: like if you.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Were you're getting put in jail if you get caught
- 12:03Speaker 2: with coke, like it's over no, like literally, like you know,
- 12:07Speaker 2: like they there's like banners.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's like if you get caught with like cope and
- 12:12Speaker 1: it has a school, so like yeah, you fuck, you're
- 12:16Speaker 1: like you're actually they're in the Philippines. They don't funk
- 12:18Speaker 1: around right like Yeah, it's like imagine like having the
- 12:22Speaker 1: balls to be a drug dealer in those countries. That's crazy,
- 12:24Speaker 1: like because they're there, Yeah, just just playing with their
- 12:28Speaker 1: life every day. Yeah, but it's cool. It's I mean,
- 12:31Speaker 1: it's I heard, it's beautiful, it's clean.
- 12:33Speaker 2: It is clean, it depends, yeah, it's it's at their
- 12:39Speaker 2: world country.
- 12:39Speaker 1: You know, maybe malays I'm thinking of Malaysia. One of
- 12:42Speaker 1: them countries is supposed to Singapore, Singapore maybe, Yeah, that's
- 12:45Speaker 1: Singapore is where there's like no trash, like no littering Singapore. Yeah, Singapore,
- 12:50Speaker 1: Indonesia there's littering. God. Yeah, that's where Bali's at though. Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 1: One of my homies is an mm A fighter. He's
- 12:56Speaker 1: got a he lives in Bali's ship.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah, Balle's cool. It's Bali's very tourists already.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Have you been the Bomb? Yeah, I've been a couple
- 13:06Speaker 1: of times. Yeah. Oh yeah, I mean that's your country.
- 13:08Speaker 1: So you're outside. It's the homeland, right, Yeah, for sure,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you gotta do a show out there is a scene.
- 13:15Speaker 2: They're Indonesians will will come out for sure. It doesn't
- 13:19Speaker 2: matter if they're inter rap but if they have a
- 13:21Speaker 2: they like someone to pop out. Yeah, where we gotta
- 13:24Speaker 2: get you booked on Rolling Out Thailand, Rolling Loud Thailand.
- 13:28Speaker 1: My homies run that ship. That's crazy.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I didn't even know there was a rolling Loud out there,
- 13:32Speaker 2: and I'm gonna ask you, I was loud talking amazing.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Well, but they have a bunch of like theyn't have
- 13:37Speaker 1: like don't have like their American like headliners, you know, right,
- 13:41Speaker 1: like like rappers from here. Yeah. Yeah, like last this
- 13:44Speaker 1: last year was like Playboy Cardi with Khalifa a Kon.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But it's like obviously the lineup's not as crazy as
- 13:50Speaker 1: it would be in the States. Yeah, but then there's
- 13:52Speaker 1: like all these like Thai artists that you would never
- 13:54Speaker 1: never even know are fucking like cracking and like like
- 13:57Speaker 1: fucking thirty thousand people singing all these songs and they're like,
- 14:01Speaker 1: who the fuck are these people? You know? Yeah, that's crazy,
- 14:03Speaker 1: but they're doing their thing. Like there's a dope scene
- 14:05Speaker 1: out there, Stupid Young's cracking out. He was on on
- 14:08Speaker 1: the Thailand lineup. Yeah, him and Shorty Shorty, they had
- 14:13Speaker 1: a wave going out there. But just Stupid Young is
- 14:15Speaker 1: like a thing in Thailand for sure, which and he's
- 14:18Speaker 1: from Cambodia. I think he's uh yeah, that's what's up.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Dude's who's been like the coolest person you've seen kind
- 14:28Speaker 1: of just like fuck with the music. I saw Big
- 14:30Speaker 1: Boy shouting you out, like, yeah, probably it had to
- 14:32Speaker 1: be a big Boy. Yeah, that ship was dope. That
- 14:34Speaker 1: was crazy.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I remember when I when I saw that video, I
- 14:39Speaker 2: was I was, I was just in my car and
- 14:41Speaker 2: I was just like yelling.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like this is crazy, this is crazy.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it would have thought Big Boys, that's crazy.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Do you have like a DJ pack for this song
- 14:50Speaker 1: where you're like servicing it for like like a clean
- 14:53Speaker 1: version and shit, we got a DJ peg just gonna
- 14:55Speaker 1: make sure. Man. Yeah, Zace, you're kind of working with
- 14:57Speaker 1: everybody who's on the come up in l A right now.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Who's everybody you've worked with besides this young man and
- 15:04Speaker 1: uh Alexis via.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Alexis via huh oh man, I'm working with the drummer boy. Yeah, uh,
- 15:14Speaker 3: I'm working with Big Swift. I'm working with Self Provoked.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Self Provoked is an eight legend. Yes he is. I
- 15:22Speaker 1: just shouted him out yesterday. I couldn't think of his name.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I was like self because he was coming up when
- 15:29Speaker 1: it was like Devour, Drummer Boy and all them guys.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yeah, so we we're back in the studio working, uh
- 15:36Speaker 3: man a little bit of everybody?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Bro is it hard? Like like these days being a
- 15:45Speaker 1: producer with so many beats, Just like a lot of
- 15:47Speaker 1: artists they just go to YouTube like we obviously you know,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I have a studio here. So many rappers that we
- 15:52Speaker 1: have the book sessions, They're like, yo, just pull up
- 15:54Speaker 1: this beat on YouTube and download it that I found.
- 15:57Speaker 1: It's like, how the fun does that work?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Like?
- 16:00Speaker 1: But a lot of these guys that's how they find
- 16:02Speaker 1: their beats, and they're like recording and releasing songs that
- 16:05Speaker 1: they don't even have a lease.
- 16:06Speaker 3: On right with the tags all through the beats.
- 16:09Speaker 1: No, it's crazy, but you've kind of figured out a
- 16:11Speaker 1: way to kind of like make sure you're you know,
- 16:12Speaker 1: you have a thing. You have a buzz. When I
- 16:14Speaker 1: talk to people, you come up a lot. So that's good.
- 16:17Speaker 1: To hear.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I like to just get in a
- 16:19Speaker 3: studio artists. Yeah, that's really hard from scratch, work from scratch,
- 16:23Speaker 3: and it eliminates like me sending out beats and maybe
- 16:26Speaker 3: accidentally sending out the same beat twice, Like it's just
- 16:29Speaker 3: easier that way. And then also to catch the vibe
- 16:31Speaker 3: and you know what I mean, go in the direction
- 16:34Speaker 3: just I don't know, I like cooking like that real producer,
- 16:36Speaker 3: who do.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You want to work with? That is kind of maybe
- 16:39Speaker 1: obviously in the realm of possibilities out here in LA,
- 16:43Speaker 1: it would be dope to work with. I think, like,
- 16:46Speaker 1: oh gz, I haven't worked with O. G. Hard?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Kaylin for real, he's hard.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Man, I've just been working my way there. I'm sure
- 16:57Speaker 3: it happened sooner for sure.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah. No, that's dope man. So for you, you got
- 17:01Speaker 1: another single you're working on. You said that you got
- 17:03Speaker 1: three singles, so you just dropped the second of the three. Uh, yes,
- 17:06Speaker 1: so there's a third one coming here, we got third
- 17:07Speaker 1: one coming. Uh. What's it called stink? Stink? It's called stink. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 1: So just some some different do you really like when
- 17:21Speaker 1: a girl gets you head and the mochos come out
- 17:23Speaker 1: because that's called nah. Yeah, it's like it's like that's
- 17:26Speaker 1: love right there. No, it's love, but it's also just
- 17:29Speaker 1: kind of gross, right, Like if you see the boogers,
- 17:32Speaker 1: like like the slobbers good, the tears are good, but
- 17:35Speaker 1: if you see boogers, it's almost like a boner killer, right, boogers.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's real though, it's real, But it's like you got
- 17:44Speaker 1: a cold.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Hey, you know what I was just I was just
- 17:49Speaker 2: speaking of emotion when.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I wrote that. You know, you got some wild ass
- 17:55Speaker 1: lions dog that you.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I try to keep it wild though, you know, it's
- 17:59Speaker 2: it's exciting to keep it wild. It's like it's it's
- 18:03Speaker 2: all about just I like writing some crazy ship, going
- 18:06Speaker 2: in the studio, recording in and just laughing after. You know, like, no,
- 18:09Speaker 2: it's you got a lot of character to your fun,
- 18:11Speaker 2: you know, No, it's it's character.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Character it comes to the music. Yeah. Yeah, you're a
- 18:16Speaker 1: lot more calm than I expected. I expected. Like I
- 18:19Speaker 1: was about a wild ass fool about to come in here,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, right, I figure he's gonna
- 18:23Speaker 1: come with a two liters amountain do dog? You know
- 18:25Speaker 1: what I'm saying some firecrackers. Who knows. Yeah, I'm pretty called.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Who do you want to work with? Man? Is there
- 18:33Speaker 1: anybody out there that you want to like fucking tap
- 18:35Speaker 1: in with? It's kind of on your on your list.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I feel like you and Pilo would be hard, not
- 18:40Speaker 1: because you're both Asian, but also because you're both Asian
- 18:42Speaker 1: for sure? For sure, Pilo.
- 18:46Speaker 2: For sure, Pilo. I. I want to work with Leo,
- 18:53Speaker 2: but what I really want to do with them?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Pause? Fine, It's fine. You hadn't got to the pause
- 18:58Speaker 1: part yet.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I want to do a show like me x Nee
- 19:03Speaker 2: Leo X, just like an Asian artist show.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, I think that'd be dope. Now, that'd
- 19:07Speaker 1: be hard, That'd be dope. Is there like for you?
- 19:10Speaker 1: Do you like? Because I feel like your music is
- 19:13Speaker 1: is like like I said, if you listen to it,
- 19:15Speaker 1: you don't necessarily know you're Asian? For you, do you
- 19:18Speaker 1: feel like the you know, like you gotta like carry
- 19:20Speaker 1: that flag because it's not a lot of Asian artists,
- 19:22Speaker 1: but it's it's starting to change, like tweets going crazy.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Obviously Pelo has been going fucking stupid, but there's a
- 19:29Speaker 1: lot more dope art like stupid young's got plaques, you
- 19:32Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, I think it's important to
- 19:35Speaker 1: tell people for sure.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think I think just being able to
- 19:40Speaker 2: embrace it in your music, you know, and just like
- 19:42Speaker 2: being into being able to embrace.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Like how you grew up and kind of just relating
- 19:47Speaker 1: that in your music. I love it. Uh when a
- 19:51Speaker 1: girl speaks time on these to you, do you do
- 19:53Speaker 1: you understand? Do you have to pull out the duelingo?
- 19:55Speaker 2: So, so, I don't know if you know that I
- 20:00Speaker 2: said checks my checks straight Taiwanese. Oh I think you
- 20:04Speaker 2: said chicks, right. I think that it is checks. I
- 20:07Speaker 2: need to upload the lyrics to Spotify.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So it's checked. It's checks.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's because the place I work at is a Taiwanese restaurant.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Oh you're working at a Taiwanese restaurant. Yeah? Nice? So
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know, So is it like do people come in
- 20:20Speaker 1: and they're like, oh shit? Sometimes? Yeah, what do you
- 20:24Speaker 1: do there, waiter? I'm a cashier out in front of
- 20:26Speaker 1: the house, front of the house. Easy, Hey to go
- 20:28Speaker 1: order here? Yeah exactly. Yeah. Once you get into the
- 20:31Speaker 1: inside of the restaurant, it's fucking it's too much. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 1: it's not my job. You can enjoy podcast in front
- 20:37Speaker 1: of the house. Yeah, yeah, I'm always like listening to
- 20:39Speaker 1: music writing. I worked at a Chinese restaurant when I
- 20:41Speaker 1: was a kid. Yeah, I was a fucking bus boy.
- 20:44Speaker 1: That shit sucked. Nah. Yet these motherfuckers would be in
- 20:47Speaker 1: the back smoking cigarettes while cooking. I'm talking about ashes
- 20:52Speaker 1: falling in the food and they would just keep cooking.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And I remember being back there washing the dishes, like
- 20:58Speaker 1: just these old ass Chinese dudes. I'm talking about like
- 21:00Speaker 1: seventy year old dudes smoking cigarettes in the kitchen. I'm fourteen,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and I'm just watching like cigarette ashes following the food,
- 21:08Speaker 1: and I was like, damn, I just had lunch here.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I hate the food here the fuck that's the flavor
- 21:16Speaker 1: it did? It was good. Hey, and the place was
- 21:18Speaker 1: you know, good reviews, still open stuff. But I wouldn't snitch.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to say the name. It's a place
- 21:24Speaker 1: in Mesa, Arizona, but I'm not gonna say the name. Hans.
- 21:27Speaker 1: You know it's a good place though. That's good. So
- 21:31Speaker 1: you're Taiwanese food, is it? Like? How different is that
- 21:34Speaker 1: than fucking Chinese food? Is similar? It's similar. Yeah, so
- 21:38Speaker 1: it's really an Asian fusion place. So we have like everything.
- 21:41Speaker 1: We got a bachi run in, but we also have
- 21:44Speaker 1: like a Taiwanese stuff. You gotta do a show outside
- 21:47Speaker 1: of the restaurant. Yeah, right the day you quit. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: tell people pull up, just pull up, do a show
- 21:53Speaker 1: on top of the car. They probably wouldn't appreciate. It
- 21:56Speaker 1: makesure you get your final check. Yeah, I'll be like, uh,
- 22:00Speaker 1: pull up to the show. But you have to support
- 22:02Speaker 1: the business. You got to support the business. Everybody you
- 22:04Speaker 1: go in spend order something, order something. That's the rule.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Exactly how long you.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Worked there, I've been working there on and off. That
- 22:13Speaker 2: was my seasonal job when I was in college. So
- 22:16Speaker 2: I went to school up north, but every time I
- 22:17Speaker 2: went back home, Yeah, for summer break, winter break, I
- 22:21Speaker 2: just be.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Working with Would you go to school for work? Do
- 22:23Speaker 1: you have communications? Yeah? I feel like communications is one
- 22:26Speaker 1: of those like generic majors. Yeah, like business when people
- 22:30Speaker 1: say I got a big business mak, what does that mean?
- 22:33Speaker 2: Communications you just learn about You learn about the next
- 22:37Speaker 2: step of a conversation, for sure, like and you learn
- 22:41Speaker 2: how to talk to all different kinds of people, understand
- 22:44Speaker 2: like the dynamics and how you can change a conversation
- 22:49Speaker 2: based on tell you how you come.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I feel like if you hang out with a pimp
- 22:54Speaker 1: for a couple of weeks, you get all that. Yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 1: not for sure, you don't need to go to school
- 22:59Speaker 1: for it, for sure. For community, I mean you should
- 23:01Speaker 1: go to school. I always say, unless you have some
- 23:03Speaker 1: shit figured out, yeah, and you kind of know what
- 23:05Speaker 1: you want to do that doesn't involve school, just go
- 23:07Speaker 1: to school to get the experience, right, I agree. And
- 23:10Speaker 1: then if like whatever you want to chase comes to you,
- 23:13Speaker 1: or you figure out, hey, what I want to do
- 23:15Speaker 1: doesn't have nothing to do with this year, but at
- 23:17Speaker 1: least go get the experience, get the life experience.
- 23:19Speaker 2: If you go to school, it gives you a lot
- 23:21Speaker 2: of time a lot of the times. If you have
- 23:24Speaker 2: a major like communications, you have a lot of free
- 23:26Speaker 2: time in college, and usually you're loan, so it's it's good.
- 23:30Speaker 1: That's when I really figured out in college that I
- 23:32Speaker 1: wanted to do music. You know, did you be chilling
- 23:35Speaker 1: in the room Homei's got the mic.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, and none. But I mean, like I was
- 23:39Speaker 2: living like student life, music life. But at the end
- 23:41Speaker 2: of the day, I knew I wanted to do music.
- 23:43Speaker 2: So I was like, I also just get this communication major.
- 23:46Speaker 1: For my music too. Might help in the future. But
- 23:51Speaker 1: you make beats it all. Nah, he'll beats one day,
- 23:55Speaker 1: he'll teach you, mate.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, Jace, what are you making shit on foot loops?
- 24:00Speaker 1: No? Able To Ableton gang? The Ableton gang. Isn't that
- 24:03Speaker 1: what TK uses? Yes, such a ship. I always heard Ableton.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It's just so difficult compared to all the other ship.
- 24:11Speaker 3: It looks difficult, but once you learn it, it's like
- 24:13Speaker 3: the quickest.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Well because you can set at bpm right, like of
- 24:17Speaker 1: a beat in able To. Because DJs use it. I've
- 24:20Speaker 1: seen DJs like make transitions.
- 24:21Speaker 3: It's good for life because you can record your set
- 24:25Speaker 3: right and you could like all the parameters.
- 24:27Speaker 1: But I've seen dudes like like have a beat or
- 24:29Speaker 1: something in their session and then they'll set a bpm
- 24:32Speaker 1: and it'll speed it up or slow it down or.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yeah, because they got the warp the warp the warp function.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yeah, what c IRUs hates Ableton? This was a hater
- 24:46Speaker 1: lang shots. Are you on fruity loops? I feel like
- 24:51Speaker 1: fruity loops is like the opposite end of the spectrum,
- 24:54Speaker 1: Like anybody can learn that ship, you know, but it
- 24:57Speaker 1: doesn't matter as long as the beats are dope. Who
- 24:59Speaker 1: gives a fuck. People used to make beats on the
- 25:01Speaker 1: PlayStation true back in the day, the funk Master Flex
- 25:06Speaker 1: video game. They had a whole it was like Fruity
- 25:09Speaker 1: Loops MTV generator. Yeah, that shit was a vibe all right, man.
- 25:13Speaker 1: So look the new songs out and you have another
- 25:16Speaker 1: song on the way called stink. Is this about private parts?
- 25:19Speaker 1: About weed? It is about private parts.
- 25:23Speaker 2: It's it's kind of like a we're trying to make
- 25:25Speaker 2: like a little club banger, you know.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Is it an ode to women's do sting? Not necessarily,
- 25:31Speaker 1: but is it you know, like when you're in the club,
- 25:33Speaker 1: it starts thinking for sure. Yeah yeah, if you if
- 25:36Speaker 1: you walk down to that dance floor, sometimes it's stinks.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Stinks, and then you'll ya talk about that stink.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It's a beautiful stench, but it's a stench. That's why
- 25:49Speaker 1: it's like, if you're gonna pick up a girl at
- 25:51Speaker 1: the club, you gotta make a shower first. She been
- 25:53Speaker 1: fucking for she been drinking, dancing, sweating all night. Pipe
- 25:58Speaker 1: took a ship at the club. Yeah, it's funky what
- 26:01Speaker 1: clubs you go to a lot of college parties. The
- 26:05Speaker 1: college party. I really don't. I really, I'm not a
- 26:08Speaker 1: clubbing person. I don't like are you wait, how would
- 26:10Speaker 1: you say you were twenty three? You're old enough to
- 26:13Speaker 1: get into a club. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 2: But I'm not a clubbing person. I don't like going
- 26:17Speaker 2: to clubs spending hell of money for no reason.
- 26:19Speaker 1: No, you got to go get booked. There you go. See,
- 26:22Speaker 1: that's which is gonna start happening.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this weekend, I got I got to Oh
- 26:27Speaker 2: really go to two clubs this weekend. Yeah, the Basement
- 26:30Speaker 2: and Pomona Fire and Arena OC Dope.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yeah. So yeah, you're gonna start getting all them bags.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Ontario's got a spy, you know, the whole
- 26:39Speaker 1: you know. And then it's just gonna keep spreading. So yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 1: and then are you like how often are you like like?
- 26:46Speaker 1: Because I see you post like posting and promoting the
- 26:49Speaker 1: fuck out of your music, which a lot of artists
- 26:51Speaker 1: don't do, right, which is crazy because why why wouldn't
- 26:54Speaker 1: you want to promote your own ship? Yeah? How often
- 26:56Speaker 1: do you post? Like to make sure people kind of
- 26:57Speaker 1: like you throw a shot into the algorithm. Uh for this.
- 27:01Speaker 2: For the past month, I've been posting three times a day.
- 27:06Speaker 2: That's important, but that's just because there's a lot of engagement.
- 27:09Speaker 2: So I was actually getting good numbers. But now I'm
- 27:12Speaker 2: posting like twice a day.
- 27:13Speaker 1: But that's what you gotta do. And you got two
- 27:15Speaker 1: hot records.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Exactly, so I can just bounce back, you know, so
- 27:18Speaker 2: it's always something new.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure, man, there it is. Brother. I
- 27:22Speaker 1: appreciate you pulling up what's your Instagram? For people who don't.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Instagram at p A K J Zero Okyo by Joko
- 27:30Speaker 2: and by Jo going all platforms.

- 27:46Speaker 3: Tap in studio time, studio time, all that custard beats.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Where's your studio at.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Think Lindoras far Yeah, drum boys, people come. Yeah, we're
