- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on The Voice of New York, it's the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on 710WOR. Hey, it's almost Friday. It's Thursday.
- 0:14Speaker 1: It's going to be a nice day today, too. We've
- 0:16Speaker 1: got a lot to get to. We'll get to President Trump.
- 0:19Speaker 1: We'll get to Ilhan Omar. It looks like she's got
- 0:23Speaker 1: some problems. We'll get to Kimberly Guilfoyle, speaking of problems.
- 0:27Speaker 1: We'll get to Cornell. We'll get to Iran. We'll get to...
- 0:31Speaker 1: The debate, the fallout from the debate, Hochul versus Blakeman.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We'll get to Mamdani. Do you know that the Plaza
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hotel is closing? For four years. The Plaza Hotel, 59th
- 0:45Speaker 1: and 5th, probably the most legendary hotel of all of
- 0:49Speaker 1: New York. They're closing it for four years for renovations.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I was in there a couple of days ago. It
- 0:56Speaker 1: looked fine to me, but... Four years of renovations. Yeah,
- 1:00Speaker 1: they're closing the whole thing down. Nobody will be able
- 1:02Speaker 1: to stay there. Part of the hotel is very expensive condos.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I don't know what happens to those people. It's a
- 1:09Speaker 1: separate entrance and everything, so maybe it won't affect them.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Although even if they stay, there's going to be massive
- 1:15Speaker 1: construction for four years, driving them crazy. But all the
- 1:18Speaker 1: employees are told they can have their jobs back at
- 1:23Speaker 1: the same pay in four years. But what the hell
- 1:25Speaker 1: are they supposed to do for four years? There's also
- 1:28Speaker 1: some stores in there. There's a hair salon. There's some
- 1:30Speaker 1: other things in there. I don't know what they're supposed
- 1:32Speaker 1: to do. But it's happening at the end of the
- 1:35Speaker 1: Christmas season, January. They'll close the plaza for four years.
- 1:39Speaker 1: It's beautiful. Even if you're not in there, just walking
- 1:42Speaker 1: along that part, 59th and 5th, the Grand Army Plaza,
- 1:45Speaker 1: Central Park. You see the plaza there. It's beautiful. Now
- 1:48Speaker 1: it's going to be all covered up and scaffolding for
- 1:51Speaker 1: four years. The carriages are also leaving Central Park, the
- 1:56Speaker 1: horse-drawn carriages. Mom Donnie, he's behind this too.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Over the course of this entire conversation, I have always
- 2:03Speaker 2: spoken about the importance of taking care of the workers
- 2:06Speaker 2: in this industry because they have earned their livelihoods from
- 2:09Speaker 2: this work. They should not be ones that are simply
- 2:13Speaker 2: left as an afterthought of what comes after this.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I will take care of the workers. Meantime, your medallion
- 2:18Speaker 1: is no good anymore. Your business is canceled. It's now
- 2:21Speaker 1: illegal in New York. It's not going to go into
- 2:24Speaker 1: effect for about a year. It'll give them time to
- 2:26Speaker 1: transition to something else.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Here we are on October 14th of 2026, and we're
- 2:33Speaker 2: talking about legislation that will come into full effect in 2028.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It is the kind of runway that's required to ensure
- 2:38Speaker 2: that we can fulfill all of these different obligations.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You see, that's the key to being a Mayor Mumdani.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Just sound like you're very intelligent. You said the key
- 2:47Speaker 1: to the runway to the... It sounds like he knows
- 2:49Speaker 1: what he's talking about, but of course he doesn't.
- 2:52Speaker 2: We have to both protect the workers... protect the workforce
- 2:55Speaker 2: that has found their livelihood from this job. And then
- 2:58Speaker 2: when it comes to the horses, I don't think the
- 2:59Speaker 2: vision is that the horses would then continue to perform
- 3:03Speaker 2: this kind of work elsewhere. There have been a lot
- 3:06Speaker 2: of different proposals that have been forward, whether it's sanctuary, um,
- 3:09Speaker 2: whether it's then being taken in by farms, things of
- 3:11Speaker 2: that nature, that's everything we're going to be investigating.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He is, uh, you can be sure this guy will
- 3:16Speaker 1: not rest. He will be investigating that day and night. Uh,
- 3:20Speaker 1: believe me, he forgot about it as soon as he
- 3:21Speaker 1: left the room. Now, uh, It sounds like he's a
- 3:25Speaker 1: very caring, concerned mayor. However, he is with the city council.
- 3:31Speaker 1: They're voting to eliminate your livelihood, make what you do illegal,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and that's it. Goodbye. Now, again, it's a year and
- 3:37Speaker 1: a half you got to figure something else out, but okay.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We are having a broad conversation about what that can
- 3:42Speaker 2: look like so that none of these workers and owners
- 3:45Speaker 2: are the ones that are made to pay for the
- 3:47Speaker 2: sunsetting of an industry.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You see, that's how you sound very smart. We're not
- 3:51Speaker 1: having a conversation. We're having a broad conversation, a broad conversation.
- 3:56Speaker 1: What the hell is a broad conversation? And, uh, we'll
- 4:00Speaker 1: give you a couple of months. You don't say that.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You say, we'll be sunsetting this. You use all these
- 4:06Speaker 1: government terms and it sounds like you are really, really, uh,
- 4:10Speaker 1: on top of everything. Uh, president Trump back at the
- 4:13Speaker 1: white house and having a luncheon today, a Rose garden luncheon. Now, uh,
- 4:18Speaker 1: He's got a full workday. You know, just think about this.
- 4:20Speaker 1: What's today, Thursday? Just this week. It's only Thursday. Actually
- 4:26Speaker 1: got back last night. So from Sunday to Wednesday, he
- 4:28Speaker 1: was in Alaska. He was in Nevada. He was in Arizona.
- 4:32Speaker 1: He was in Montana. That's two and a half days.
- 4:35Speaker 1: That's a big, big travel schedule. So latest on the midterm,
- 4:39Speaker 1: still the same. It looks like Republicans, very good chance
- 4:43Speaker 1: of taking the Senate. Republicans look very good for taking
- 4:46Speaker 1: the Senate. The House, it's too close to call. Now,
- 4:49Speaker 1: don't fall for all this fake news. If you watch
- 4:53Speaker 1: the fake news, they'll keep telling you it's hopeless for
- 4:57Speaker 1: the Republicans. If you read in the New York Times yesterday,
- 5:00Speaker 1: there's like nine major stories about the Republicans are giving up.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's hopeless. The Republicans are pulling out of these states.
- 5:06Speaker 1: If you watch MS Now or CNN, they keep quoting
- 5:10Speaker 1: the Cook political report. The widely regarded, highly checked Cook
- 5:18Speaker 1: Political Report. They keep telling me about this Cook Political Report.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Nobody reads this except these swamp idiots, except the fake
- 5:25Speaker 1: news crowd. They love this Cook Political Report. Started by
- 5:29Speaker 1: Charlie Cook. Even he has nothing to do with it anymore.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Even he left. He sold the thing. It's run now
- 5:33Speaker 1: by Amy Walter, who is the most left-wing biased person
- 5:38Speaker 1: in the world. Former PBS anchor. Do you need to
- 5:42Speaker 1: know more? Amy Walter, the highly regarded Cook Report. Highly
- 5:47Speaker 1: regarded by who? Check the record of the Cook Report.
- 5:51Speaker 1: In fact, you can use the Cook Report as a
- 5:53Speaker 1: reverse barometer of what's going to happen. They keep quoting it.
- 5:56Speaker 1: The Cook Report has now taken 18 races. They've moved
- 6:00Speaker 1: it to the Democratic column. Well, they did the same
- 6:03Speaker 1: thing with Hillary Clinton in 2016. In fact, the highly
- 6:10Speaker 1: regarded Cook Political Report had Hillary Clinton winning in a landslide,
- 6:14Speaker 1: an electoral landslide in 2016. Of course, it was totally,
- 6:19Speaker 1: completely wrong. So don't take any of this. This is
- 6:23Speaker 1: all a PSYOP operation. This is to discourage any Republicans
- 6:28Speaker 1: from even thinking of going to the polls. That's why
- 6:31Speaker 1: they rig those polls, the public polls. They want to
- 6:35Speaker 1: convince you that there's no hope. There's no reason to
- 6:38Speaker 1: even go vote. There's absolutely no hope. But the way
- 6:42Speaker 1: it stands now, Senate, very likely Republicans hold the Senate. House,
- 6:48Speaker 1: too close to call. It's going to depend on turnout.
- 6:51Speaker 1: If Republicans turn out, they'll win. If Democrats turn out,
- 6:54Speaker 1: they'll win. Right now, that's the way it stands. Bruce Blakeman,
- 6:59Speaker 1: looks like he's picking up points from the debate. Looks
- 7:02Speaker 1: like the momentum will shift now towards Blakeman. He was
- 7:05Speaker 1: very good in the debate. It was on New York One.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Nobody sees that. But the clips are going all over
- 7:11Speaker 1: the place. And Blakeman was very strong out yesterday. Speaking
- 7:15Speaker 1: about Cornell.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Kathy Hochul has already preached judge this case. But what
- 7:19Speaker 3: I have to say to you, Kathy, is as follows.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Where were you? What did you do? You are the
- 7:24Speaker 3: trustee of Cornell University. You are the governor of the state.
- 7:28Speaker 3: You fund Cornell University to the tune of $ 150 million
- 7:32Speaker 3: a year. They're a partner of the state of New York.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And as a trustee and as governor, you didn't call
- 7:38Speaker 3: for an independent investigation when you found out that the
- 7:41Speaker 3: district attorney was dropping the case.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Shame on you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's from the debate. Actually, it turns out,
- 7:47Speaker 1: I don't think anybody knew that she was on the
- 7:49Speaker 1: board at Cornell. This whole horrible incident was two years ago.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So if somebody dropped the ball, the ball got dropped
- 7:56Speaker 1: two years ago, and she was on the board at
- 7:58Speaker 1: the time and should have known about it. And half
- 8:00Speaker 1: of Cornell is a state university, part of the state
- 8:04Speaker 1: university system. So she really should have been on top
- 8:07Speaker 1: of that. Elon Omar's got big, big problems. You know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: they raided her house. They've gotten all these documents. They're
- 8:14Speaker 1: looking at immigration fraud. They found... Well, it looks like
- 8:18Speaker 1: she lied about her net worth on those financial disclosure
- 8:22Speaker 1: forms that you have to file in Congress. One of them,
- 8:25Speaker 1: she's worth $ 30 million. Next thing you know, she's worth $ 300, 000.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Makes absolutely no sense. But the one that looks pretty
- 8:32Speaker 1: serious for her right now, it looks like at one
- 8:36Speaker 1: point she lied about her age. She made her age
- 8:39Speaker 1: lower by one year. Now, a lot of people lie
- 8:44Speaker 1: about their age.
- 8:44Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 8:45Speaker 1: This was for a the purpose of defrauding the immigration
- 8:48Speaker 1: people at the time when her father came over here
- 8:53Speaker 1: without getting too into the weeds. If the father gets
- 8:56Speaker 1: over here and gets a citizenship or a visa or green, whatever, if,
- 9:01Speaker 1: if he comes over here and he's got a minor child,
- 9:04Speaker 1: the minor child would get citizenship. So she made her
- 9:09Speaker 1: age all of a sudden one year lower than, So
- 9:13Speaker 1: it looked like she was 17. She was actually 18
- 9:16Speaker 1: and not a minor under that system. So she made
- 9:20Speaker 1: her age a year lower to appear to be a minor. Now,
- 9:22Speaker 1: if this is all true, and it looks like it is,
- 9:25Speaker 1: if this is all true, she can be deported. Her
- 9:29Speaker 1: citizenship is no longer valid. And if you lie in
- 9:32Speaker 1: any way on these immigration forms, you can be deported.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And obviously, if you're no longer a citizen, you can't
- 9:38Speaker 1: be serving in Congress. So It's under investigation now, Department
- 9:43Speaker 1: of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Office. Let's see what happens. This
- 9:47Speaker 1: is the word right now, but let's see if it
- 9:50Speaker 1: actually gets done in a courtroom. You could see her
- 9:53Speaker 1: deported at some point. Now, what's going to happen in Iran? Well,
- 10:00Speaker 1: it's been very quiet. People are yelling to stop the
- 10:02Speaker 1: Iran war. How would you stop it? There's nothing going on.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Nobody's fired a shot in about six weeks. It's been
- 10:08Speaker 1: a month and a half. There's nothing to stop. But
- 10:12Speaker 1: the hint has always been that once the midterms are over,
- 10:17Speaker 1: that President Trump will finish the job, will go after Iran.
- 10:22Speaker 1: There'll be a massive attack, taking out anything and everything
- 10:26Speaker 1: of their leadership. And now we're hearing that what they
- 10:31Speaker 1: would do once the midterms are over is use the Moab,
- 10:35Speaker 1: that is the mother of all bombs, that is the
- 10:39Speaker 1: biggest weapon we have. It's the single biggest non-nuclear weapon
- 10:45Speaker 1: bomb that we have. It's a massive bomb. We haven't
- 10:49Speaker 1: used them so far. Last time we used, we did
- 10:51Speaker 1: use one in 2017 against ISIS in Afghanistan. It is
- 10:56Speaker 1: a massive bomb. So the president apparently has asked the
- 11:00Speaker 1: military to draw up the targets for the Moab bomb
- 11:05Speaker 1: the day after the midterms, if they want to finally
- 11:09Speaker 1: finish this off in Iran. It will be a Moab war.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's an incredible weapon. And we got plenty of them.
- 11:17Speaker 1: We got plenty of weapons. Don't listen to all this.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We're out of missiles. We're fine. Now, why is this
- 11:24Speaker 1: leaking out? Well, they want Iran to get wind of
- 11:28Speaker 1: this because maybe they'll negotiate more. Kimberly Guilfoyle is out.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You know, the ambassador in Greece lives in a beautiful
- 11:38Speaker 1: mansion in the nicest part of Athens. Magnificent. magnificent mansion.
- 11:42Speaker 1: She's got to leave there. She's got a few days
- 11:45Speaker 1: to pack up and get out. Word is she'll head
- 11:47Speaker 1: to Florida. That's where she was living before. She wants
- 11:52Speaker 1: to go back to Florida. Also, the word is she's
- 11:54Speaker 1: now searching for a very wealthy husband. So if you
- 12:00Speaker 1: are a very rich guy, we've got many of them
- 12:02Speaker 1: listening to us, she's on the market. If you've always
- 12:07Speaker 1: been a Kimberly Guilfile fan, Get busy if I were you.
- 12:13Speaker 1: She's looking for somebody right now. As far as working,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if she could go
- 12:19Speaker 1: back to– she was on Fox for years. I don't
- 12:22Speaker 1: think she can go back there. She may be calling
- 12:26Speaker 1: Newsmax as we speak or something like that. Book deal
- 12:31Speaker 1: is possible. Although with all these allegations against her. And
- 12:37Speaker 1: the other thing is they asked for her resignation from
- 12:41Speaker 1: what I'm hearing. Because of all the things you heard
- 12:44Speaker 1: about taking jet rides from this guy, money from that guy,
- 12:47Speaker 1: asking this guy for money, offering influence to this guy.
- 12:52Speaker 1: From what I'm hearing, there were more allegations coming, and
- 12:54Speaker 1: they did not want to have her there for the
- 12:57Speaker 1: rest of these allegations. There's more coming. The rumor is.
- 13:01Speaker 1: The rumor is. Mamdani. Hey, tonight is the Al Smith dinner.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And it's one of those off years. In the presidential year,
- 13:12Speaker 1: the presidential candidates come, and it's a huge, major news.
- 13:16Speaker 1: It's an off year, so it's not as big a deal.
- 13:18Speaker 1: But it'll be interesting to see if Mamdani comes to that. Now,
- 13:23Speaker 1: it's a real establishment dinner. It's always the governor and everybody,
- 13:28Speaker 1: all the top business guys, all the top political leaders.
- 13:30Speaker 1: It'll be interesting to see if Mamdani comes to this.
- 13:34Speaker 1: And the other thing is the honoree this year is
- 13:37Speaker 1: Jessica Tisch. So, I don't know what Mamdani's doing with
- 13:43Speaker 1: Jessica Tisch right now. He's not going to get rid
- 13:44Speaker 1: of her, but the DSA, the crazy nutjob democratic socialists,
- 13:49Speaker 1: are demanding she be fired. Mamdani is sticking by her.
- 13:53Speaker 1: They're demanding she be fired. I don't know, because of
- 13:56Speaker 1: something with ICE. The real reason is because she's Jewish.
- 14:00Speaker 1: She's pro-Israel. That's why they want her out. But will
- 14:04Speaker 1: Mamdani show up? She's being honored this dinner tonight. I
- 14:09Speaker 1: don't know. He's got to walk a tightrope now between
- 14:11Speaker 1: these crazy left wingers and normal people. Mamdani so far
- 14:16Speaker 1: has been good with the NYPD.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I have directed a full review of the 24 hour
- 14:22Speaker 2: period that starts with the horrific ice shooting that extends
- 14:28Speaker 2: to the police department's response to that incident. As well
- 14:30Speaker 2: as to the ensuing protests.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Now, stop for a minute here. Horrific shooting, any shooting
- 14:36Speaker 1: is horrific. If you have to shoot somebody, it's horrific.
- 14:38Speaker 1: But the guy got in his car. They told him
- 14:43Speaker 1: to stop. He jumped in the car. And then they
- 14:45Speaker 1: tried to box him in with their cars. That didn't work.
- 14:48Speaker 1: And then he tried to run into the offices, try
- 14:50Speaker 1: to run them down with his car. That's how he
- 14:53Speaker 1: got shot. Blaming the NYPD. Well, you can't blame them
- 14:57Speaker 1: because under your orders, under Hochul's orders, they weren't allowed
- 15:00Speaker 1: to help ICE. Had they helped ICE, they could have
- 15:02Speaker 1: stopped the guy and handed him over peacefully. But you
- 15:06Speaker 1: and Hochul won't allow that.
- 15:07Speaker 2: It also extends to ICE's use of privately owned parking
- 15:11Speaker 2: lots as staging locations. And then to a broader review
- 15:14Speaker 2: of what more the city can do to protect immigrant
- 15:17Speaker 2: New Yorkers across the five boroughs.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Yeah, this thing about privately owned parking lots, apparently... they
- 15:24Speaker 1: waited in a Costco parking lot. See, the problem is
- 15:26Speaker 1: if you cooperate with ICE, like Blakeman did in Long Island,
- 15:32Speaker 1: he had his local police cooperate with ICE. So if
- 15:35Speaker 1: they're going to come in to arrest an illegal that
- 15:37Speaker 1: they know about, local police will go with them and
- 15:40Speaker 1: help them. And that way, the two ICE officers will
- 15:44Speaker 1: come to take the prisoner. Now, if the local police
- 15:47Speaker 1: won't be there to assist, no local police, They can't
- 15:51Speaker 1: just send two ICE officers. They've got to send 20
- 15:52Speaker 1: because they've got to protect themselves. There's no local police
- 15:56Speaker 1: to protect them. So it becomes a much bigger operation
- 15:59Speaker 1: because of Hochul, because of Mamdani. And obviously you've got
- 16:03Speaker 1: to wait somewhere. And they probably had six or seven vehicles.
- 16:07Speaker 1: So they picked a, you know, Costco has a big
- 16:10Speaker 1: parking lot. So that's what they were waiting in the
- 16:13Speaker 1: parking lot. Now Mamdani, I don't know, he's going to
- 16:15Speaker 1: try to have some kind of law. They can't wait
- 16:18Speaker 1: in any parking lot anywhere. doesn't make any sense just
- 16:21Speaker 1: do what Blakeman did cooperate with ICE they are going
- 16:25Speaker 1: to arrest illegals who have committed all kinds of crime
- 16:28Speaker 1: who got a rap sheet who are dangerous criminals cooperate
- 16:32Speaker 1: with them and that's what happened in Long Island the
- 16:35Speaker 1: arrests are orderly nobody gets shot in the street like
- 16:39Speaker 1: that anyway we got a lot to get to it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: going to be nice today it's going to be it's
- 16:43Speaker 1: not going to be warm it's going to be in
- 16:45Speaker 1: the 60s but bright and sunny a lot of rain
- 16:48Speaker 1: tomorrow Don't forget, I'm on three hours now, nine to
- 16:51Speaker 1: noon every day, three hours, nine to noon on 710WOR.
